4. 0:43ah yes waiting on class yeah exactly uh this is the AI learning lab uh welcome we'll wait for some people to
5. 0:52come in my name is Kyle Shannon I'm an entrepreneur I'm a dude that's just very into generative Ai and we'll answer any questions I can um
6. 1:05that's what this channel is all about I've also got the AI Salon I've got a newsletter called everyday AI so looking at
7. 1:16um all of what this stuff makes possible and I'm putting away a screwdriver because I because I always forget to put
8. 1:22away screwdrivers and then I was like where the screwdriver all right done look at that like a professional uh welcome this AI
9. 1:34learning lab if you have questions about AI pop them uh into the uh what's it called comments just getting up to speed I mowed today I
10. 1:49covered with raised garden beds I covered them with cloth I haven't done much with AIT so I figured I'd help on here and talk about
11. 1:57it rather than doing something all right what did you say here um I'm excited I'm gonna help my husband write his life story yeah with AI of
12. 2:08course that's great I mean yeah that's the kind of thing like like you could even have it you know help you outline
13. 2:14it or even just have it come up with the questions for him to answer and then have it organize all the answers that's
14. 2:20really cool it's a great idea how do I profit from AI do not listen to people that say you can make money don't listen to them
15. 2:30um here's a deal with AI it's a tool it happens to be a really powerful tool and there's a lot of them so
16. 2:37a couple of things the first step in profiting with AI is start learning it so if you haven't actively been using
17. 2:47chat GPT that's what that top URL is I'm not associated with them go to that top URL that's the official chat website
18. 2:55start playing with it as I Babble on here on a Sunday afternoon go play there the next one down is bing.com which is
19. 3:02also chat GPT if you click on the chat button that's gpt4 connected to the internet for free right so if you're
20. 3:09like I can't pay for this go to Bing in my opinion not as strong as the the Open ai's chat GPT even though it's the
21. 3:17same core underlying technology they have it a bit hobbled and then poe.com lets you play with a bunch of different models prompts.chat
22. 3:24will teach you about prompting and then futurepedia.io is a big directory of just like as many AI tools as you can
23. 3:31imagine there's probably thousands at this point I haven't even been recently but if you want to geek out you can go
24. 3:36there but I think Step One is is start learning chat GPD start learning what these things make possible
25. 3:43um if you have questions about AI pop them into the comments below I'll do my best to answer them uh fair warning I
26. 3:49cuss uh I make stupid jokes uh I act like silly characters I get accused of looking like famous or semi-famous
27. 3:58people on a pretty regular basis Rosie O'Donnell's my favorite uh but fat Alec Baldwin's not bad um all right let's see let me let me go
28. 4:09through some questions here some questions here how do I profit oh the other thing about profit profiting with AI
29. 4:16learn what these tools can do and then take what you're good at and come up with a solution to a problem you
30. 4:24think people be willing to pay for that's business that's how you make money right that problem could be you
31. 4:30want to make people smile and you start a t-shirt business that business could be a Consulting business that business
32. 4:36could be helping people come up with marketing plans so take something that that is in line with who you are and
33. 4:43what you're good at learn these AI tools and how they can amplify what you're good at and then come up with something
34. 4:49that you can put out to the world and get people to pay for a good way to start that is to give away those
35. 4:56services for free so if you come up with I don't know whatever it is I I'm going to help people write a marketing plan
36. 5:02based on the hero's journey I don't know there's one that'd be one chat CPT would be good with um offer it to three business owners that
37. 5:11you know for free to just do it to actually put it in the world and get feedback because you can think about
38. 5:17this [ __ ] all you want but when you put it in the world things change and then from there you can figure out um then you can figure out
39. 5:28um you know how you could really turn that into a business um yeah I got out of the house today and I I wouldn't call mowing really getting
40. 5:35out of the house but you know um what are some applications in AI in cyber security um well I I think there's just I think
41. 5:46there's just cyber security and then there's going to be um the the Bad actors have access to really powerful tools and then the good actors
42. 5:54have access to really powerful tools so I think I feel that cyber security is just going to be um an escalated
43. 6:03continuation of the battle between the black hats and the white hats again these things are just tools there's
44. 6:09there's nothing there's there's nothing well the generative AI stuff put into regular non-technical people's hands more power
45. 6:23than we've ever had in the history of humanity so it's different in that sense but these things are not necessarily
46. 6:31doing things on their own it's they're more like a co-pilot which is That's The Branding that Microsoft uses this is a
47. 6:36co-pilot you're the pilot these tools are a co-pilot think to think of them like that and then figure out what do
48. 6:42you want to do so if you're good at cyber security I would dig deep in you know start hanging out on Reddit and
49. 6:49figuring out how hackers are you know using these generative tools to attempt to infiltrate infiltrate systems
50. 6:58get get good at understanding that and then come up with counter measures I think that there's there's going to be a
51. 7:04huge need for that kind of um support in the cyber security Arena as as to what specific tools I don't know that world at all so go to
52. 7:14futurepedia.io there might be some tools listed there that are specific but really go hang out on Reddit and you
53. 7:20know troll GitHub and hugging face and see what see what the hackers are doing because I'm sure they're having fun right now
54. 7:28because these tools are insane is a i m a a good textbook I don't know it um I've heard it's good but I don't know
55. 7:41thanks for telling me that you curse you'll be leaving now okay cool awesome all right does it have a good MD mdp
56. 7:50examples I don't know what that means let me go look let's go to let's go to chatgpt and see what mdp um
57. 8:00what is wait what is that not typing what is archive decision process it's a decision maker interacts with an
58. 8:13environment in discrete time steps components of mdp are as follows States actions transition I don't know anything
59. 8:23about this but it obviously knows what it is and I'm just using GPT 3.5 so I'm not even using four and then I don't know let's say
60. 8:33can you give me some examples certainly autonomous driving Inventory management Health Care treatment energy management
61. 8:48these are some examples um can you give me some less obvious ones um
62. 9:02website optimization resource so so yeah and so what I would say if you haven't played with chat gbt it is it
63. 9:12it's it's kind of hard to explain like how how insanely different it is so so we've been trained for the past two
64. 9:21decades or so from Google that you type in a really sparse prompt and then you get back lots of answers and you have to go dig through
65. 9:30it this is much more like having a conversation really with a really smart intern and it'll even do things like this like I say
66. 9:39um give me a table comparing the diff uh let's see the different use cases and which will benefit
67. 9:57the most from this approach I don't even know if that's an appropriate statement but it will go on ahead and just write
68. 10:05you a table and format it so high benefit moderate benefit High benefit so it's doing some analysis of
69. 10:14you know these different things within that framework so so again what I would say is if you haven't played with these
70. 10:22tools the reason I put these things on screen while I'm babbling is you know those are those are the places you should go just
71. 10:32go start playing go start digging in so I hope that helped um if you've got questions about generative

73. 10:51AI I tend to be a tech Optimist um I I was accused once on a panel so a woman who's been in AI for 15 years said uh
74. 11:00let me interrupt the adorable optimism here so I've been accused of being adorably optimistic that's the case I I think it's you know
75. 11:11I find the doomsday um future focusing too much on that I just find it boring I think it's like yeah that's what Hollywood's trained us
76. 11:20to think so what if it were the opposite what if rather than killing us it made us all better that's the future I'm trying to explore um
77. 11:32when you used 11 labs to clone your voice how much data did you upload a 30 minute MP3 file enough I had
78. 11:42um I had Chachi BT write me a script and and I told it I was doing it for for voice for for synthesizing my voice so I
79. 11:52said use as many like you know whatever's appropriate to train that and then it wrote one and then I had it write a
80. 12:00second one and just like make it different and then I read both of them I think the total file that I uploaded was
81. 12:07uh five minutes it wasn't 30. but you can you can put it I think they said you can put in up to 60 or something like
82. 12:14that I don't I don't know what the I don't know if there's a point of diminishing returns but five seemed to
83. 12:20get it it didn't seem to capture any sort of cadence um or or you know anything like that so uh uh yeah Markov decision process it can
84. 12:34be used to build AI tools and stuff cool wait was that never never mind I'm asking technically questions about AI
85. 12:42yeah so so just a little bit about who I am I am not a machine learning and AI guy um I'm an entrepreneur so I I've started
86. 12:5012 or 15 companies over the years I was um there when the when the World Wide Web first came onto the scene in the mid
87. 12:5790s I was living in New York City I started one of the first online magazines I started one of the first digital agencies so
88. 13:06the parallels to what's going on with generative AI right now and what was happening with the World Wide Web back
89. 13:12then are are really really uncanny and so I'm sort of coming at this as probably a representative of the
90. 13:19inflection point that we're in Thunder's coming see if it's really loud no um where for the past few decades
91. 13:31you know machine learning and Ai and neural networks have been the the purview of data scientists and researchers and things like that chat
92. 13:39EBT marks this inflection point of you know real people using these tools and so I'm coming at this as an entrepreneur
93. 13:47saying hey there's these remarkable tools here let's let's take off so anyway all right um good thing I'm learning about uh
94. 13:57technical stuff behind AI I'm going to take all your jobs yeah it's you know what's uh what's Paul rates to say AI is
95. 14:04not going to take your job but somebody using AI will I mean having a clue about AI at any level of the sport right now
96. 14:11is probably a good thing the next uh the next two or three years there's going to be a large hunger for people that have a
97. 14:17clue so but thank you for the question um if you have other questions about AI pop them into the thing if you've tried
98. 14:25it share your experiences I'm happy to talk about that um if you haven't used chat GPT I'll show you a couple of things here um
99. 14:35there's some new things that they've given people access to in the past two or three weeks um one of them is GPT connected to the
100. 14:45intervals is that sorry I'm trying to get it to focus focus yeah come on camera well that's as good as it's gonna get um
101. 14:57regular chat GPT the base model only has data up to September of 2021 by connecting it to the internet with this second option here
102. 15:08um you can see more modern things and then it's also got this thing called plugins and plug-ins are I think it's up
103. 15:15to four it was it was up to 400 as of last night um plug-ins are just what they sound like they're little like application
104. 15:22helpers that you can use to augment um chat EBT so if you want to plan a trip yeah there's 97 pages of four plug-ins each
105. 15:32so there's a lot of them to go through um let's see let's see what some new ones are um Clinic manages your clink clink clink account
106. 15:46go find deep memory don't know that Pro app paraphraser say it better say it different paraphrase like a pro paraphrase for
107. 15:58impact and inspire that's really poor English so no I'm not going to use paraphrase Pro paraphraser get your get your get your description
108. 16:11of your plugin in in decent grammar first and then I might use a tool that actually purports to to improve improve my uh my language
109. 16:22[Laughter] amazing Tucker elevate your language learning to any level with personalized one-on-one lessons
110. 16:32a lot of these plugins are just weird so so I think what a lot of the plugins are is people are just sort of pointing them
111. 16:40to their website and then you can have chat EBT go look at their specific website and pull some [ __ ] in but a lot
112. 16:47of these things what they're saying that the plugin does chat already does really well like if you want Chachi BT to paraphrase
113. 16:55something you just tell it to paraphrase something tell it to paraphrase it like William Shakespeare would and you'll you
114. 17:01know you don't need a separate tool for that here's one that's will find you Apartments um shop best word counter yeah a lot of
115. 17:12these a lot of these plugins are just trash to rash to rash all right um what are a few must-have plugins I don't
116. 17:25so let's see let me see what I've got installed so I've got ask your PDF I use that a decent amount so ask your PDF um I haven't
117. 17:38I've used it more than chat with PDF probably just because it began with an A and the other one began with a c
118. 17:46um so I used it first and it worked um brand fetch is really interesting let's I'll show you brand fetch let's go
119. 17:52play with that one that one's kind of cool um so I've got right now I've got so the way plugins Works once once you have them them enabled
120. 18:01you go to the plug-in store where you you don't actually buy anything you just install them once they're installed then
121. 18:07in any given chat session you can activate up to three so like right now I've got three travel ones activated so I'm going to turn those off
122. 18:18and then I'm gonna go find that brand one brand Fetch and what brand fetch does so I can say um get me the brand uh let me get me the logos
123. 18:31um colors and any brand guidance for Apple and
124. 18:48it should fire off that plug-in it did and then
125. 19:02icon logo Dark theme light theme their colors their fonts images there's a banner and then I don't know what these little
126. 19:16previews are they're not previewing anything so let's go see so sometimes these these plugins will just return return
127. 19:22hyperlinks that are broken but let's go see if if this actually gives us an Apple icon uh I don't see anything
128. 19:31so this could be a bust is it still loading oh it might be my Wi-Fi is trash thanks Xfinity you're the best doesn't
129. 19:41seem to be loading the pages foreign weight loading
130. 20:01is there anything there all right anyway I used that one the other day and it I did it with my own company and it worked pretty good but it
131. 20:12doesn't seem to be working for Apple Banner is there anything there iPhone 14 hello yellow so it grabbed a banner anyway
132. 20:22like that that's cool in concept the the thing about the the plugins right now is the plug-in architecture itself is very
133. 20:29very simple they're very easy to develop um I don't think they're really vetting them a lot I don't think a lot of people
134. 20:37are using them so the other thing about plugins if you're new to chat EBT in order to get access to plugins you have
135. 20:43to be using chat GPT plus so that little yellow Banner there which 20 bucks a month and then you have to enable the
136. 20:49beta features so if I go to my name and I go to settings I go to Beta features and then there's browse with Bing and plugins you have to
137. 20:57turn them on and the the thing about the plugins right now is they're a little janky so the question the question was what are some
138. 21:05um some must haves so brand fetch isn't one of them although you think it's good um ask your PDF is really good there's
139. 21:14chat with video there's a bunch of them that you can point to a YouTube video and you can you know interact with the
140. 21:20basically with the transcription of it diagram will draw some things that's pretty good um some of the travel ones are good you
141. 21:28know kayak get your guide um instacart you can get groceries delivered so if you have like instacart and
142. 21:36um OpenTable installed you could say you know book me reservations at a restaurant on Saturday give me a recipe for I don't know beef
143. 21:47stew on Sunday and order the ingredients from from uh instacart and it'll go do that um link reader's good so so you can put
144. 21:59in a specific URL or a series of them and it will go read those pages and then you can interact with that stuff
145. 22:06prompt perfect is kind of fun let me show you this one so I just enabled it if you type the word perfect before your prompt perfect
146. 22:14and then I type in um let's say um give me some advice um for how to
147. 22:32protect my garden my Garden from hail since it's about to hail here and then because I type perfect in front
148. 22:44of it it fires it off to prompt perfect and if you open up the plug-in so it basically sent my you know crappy prompt and it says can
149. 22:55you provide me with detailed recommendations on the most effective methods to safeguard my garden from hail
150. 23:01damage so it kind of rewrites it and improves it some usually it rewrites it better than that but I guess my I guess
151. 23:09my prompt was wasn't bad um but that's it that's an interesting one um what other ones are interesting show me is another diagramming Thing
152. 23:23video insights Vox script web pilot wolf from alpha is good you can go off and do mathematical operations I don't know enough about math to
153. 23:35even know what the hell to do there um but that's a pretty cool one and then X papers um that'll take you to research
154. 23:43papers and you can go like go find the latest research papers and then zapier it will help you create automations
155. 23:49automatically so hope that helps um let's see oh there's a few new people here so if you're new here my name is

162. 24:55how do you how do we enable and install plugins I just showed that so hopefully that covered that is poe like a master dashboard to manage
163. 25:03all of your subscriptions in one place kinda so let's go look at quite know why they're doing it the way they're doing it so
164. 25:11all right so here's all the all the stuff um on the right hand side is just um like a normal hang on like a normal chat GPT window like you
165. 25:26know write me a poem about the rain bang and it will go write me a poem about the rain okay so on the left hand side you have all these
166. 25:39different models so you've got Sage which is pose model then you have three that are there that you have to pay for if you if you want
167. 25:48access to them and I do pay for them you see that they say subscribed um because of the third the fourth one
168. 25:55down uh so GPT 4 is gpt4 Claude plus is anthropic's version of gpt4 and then Claude instant 100K is like GPT
169. 26:063.5 but it's got a hundred thousand token context windows so if you're completely new to this that'll mean absolutely [ __ ] nothing um
170. 26:15normal gpt's got a 4 000 token context Windows what it's called it basically means you can put in up to about 3 000 words
171. 26:24into your prompt you know your prompt in the response can only be about three thousand words or it chokes it can't do it
172. 26:32um which sounds like a lot but but let's say you want to take a really long document and you want to paste it in
173. 26:37there as part of your prompt and say help help me organize this thing or whatever it might be um three thousand three thousand words
174. 26:43gets eaten up pretty quick so with a hundred thousand token model you can paste in up to 75 000 words in your
175. 26:51uh in your prompt um yesterday I I I pasted in the entire script of The Godfather and had it tell me about all
176. 26:59the characters and what happened to them and it was just like bang so that's what that is um Claude instant is like three GPT 3.5
177. 27:06chat EBT is GPT 3.5 and then the things you have below here are Bots and and and what the Bots are are um
178. 27:17like little sort of pre-written prompts for lack of a better term so these top two MJ Captain someone that was on the
179. 27:24live last night created this one and there's another both of these are mid-journey prompt writers so you put in
180. 27:30a little bit about what image you want created and they'll they'll expand your prompt then I have I I am Yoda here I've
181. 27:36got a Shakespeare one there's a bunch that I created and then you can create your own bot so so the create a bot
182. 27:43thing is actually really easy you just name it you give it a description um you write a prompt so I'll go show
183. 27:51you one of mine let's go to go look at Yoda so there's Yoda and then if I go here and say edit bot so I had chat EPT helped me write a
184. 28:04description and write it in Yoda speak and then the prompt is you are Yoda the renowned Jedi Master From the Star Wars
185. 28:11Universe engage with users by imparting your wisdom of the force and Leadership right so so I basically describe what
186. 28:18the bot should do what it should not do and basically how it should be behave when people interact with it so if you
187. 28:24want to play with it go to poe.com I am Yoda and um and you can play with it so I can say um why is it raining a question mark
188. 28:41let's see what he does young one mind the weather you must not control the rain only could control the rain only
189. 28:48control ourselves we can unpredictable nature often is right so so anyway so so that's what Poe is post just like like
190. 28:56why they're doing this from a business perspective I don't know but as an end User it's kind of cool to be able to use
191. 29:01all these different models and see what they are how do you enable a plug-in I think I showed that before so if you're in chat GPT
192. 29:11um once you have them installed from the plug-in store then you have this big long list and you just sort of check the check box
193. 29:20so I could I could do like let's see experiences get your guide and um trip.com and so those are three travel
194. 29:35related ones so when you enable the plugins the combination of them kind of makes this customized little application that you can play with

198. 30:11entrepreneur who is uh obsessed with generative AI right now I think we all should be to some degree or other at a
199. 30:18minimum curious uh so if you have not played with any of these tools at all that's what these URLs are there for
200. 30:25um the bottom ones are things that'll teach you how to prompt and and things that'll let you find new tools but the
201. 30:30top three are basically chat GPT different flavors of chat CPT just go start with the official chat GPT that's
202. 30:37the top one start playing while you listen to me Babble um follow along remember there is no wagering well you
203. 30:46can wager I don't really give a [ __ ] you can bet all right if you have questions about generative AI pop it into the comments
204. 30:57that's why I'm here I'm here to answer questions I don't have the Brows with Bing plug-in okay if you pay for chat GPT Plus
205. 31:09and you don't see them here's why so chat GPT plus if you have that little yellow thing that you're paying 20 bucks
206. 31:19for that little piece of graphic if you don't see browse with Bing and the plugins go to your settings and then in your settings the second
207. 31:28option here is beta features and you have to enable them you have to turn them on not quite sure why they're doing that
208. 31:35right now I assume they're doing it to kind of limit the amount of people that use them but um it's it's really confusing and then
209. 31:42and then they should show up all right the brains behind the Antichrist okay please no religion in here
210. 31:57things are complicated enough um [Music] how do you create an app with GPT well it depends on how you're defining an app
211. 32:12you can use some no code tools there's one called Bubble I use an automation tool here comes the Thunder I use an
212. 32:20automation tool called zapier which allows you to like like I've created a bunch of content generation tools where
213. 32:26I'll create a Google form and when people fill in that form I take that data put it into a prompt within zapier
214. 32:34zapier send it to open AI get back some cool result and then put that in an email and email them some social media content
215. 32:42um so so that's how I've made some apps you can also if you want to learn coding um you know you can go you know start
216. 32:52hanging out on GitHub and finding tools that you can program with and use GitHub copilot to help you code and have chat
217. 33:00GPT teach you to code and actually do the coding for you if you don't if you haven't played with it before it really
218. 33:06it really is kind of mind-blowing um so I'm going to go to just regular gpt4 here regular gpd4 not connected to the
219. 33:15internet or anything and I'm just going to say write me a python application that um generates um random Prime
220. 33:31numbers um I don't know and plots them on and x y axis I don't know why you do that
221. 33:47but you ask it to do its thing sure you can use the matplot library to plot the generator prime numbers and random to generate them
222. 34:02so I don't know it's been a little slow right now but it's writing the code it's importing the library
223. 34:10Define it as Prime it's picking a random one and then it's writing a plot um so so you know the the these large language models are
224. 34:23incredibly capable of doing things uh like helping you um write an app but I I would if you don't have coding experience
225. 34:35um rather than thinking about what what app you want to create I would think about start with what problem do you
226. 34:41want to solve right what do you what are you trying to do start with that and then you can figure out do I need an app
227. 34:46or do I just need an automation or can I just do that right within chat gbt because it might be possible you don't
228. 34:52actually need to create an app um like for example if you wanted to create an app that took an input and turned it into a better mid-journey
229. 35:01prompt you could just create a bot on PO and and create a bot and share that with people if you want to create an app to
230. 35:09sell on the App Store and make money that way that's a whole different conversation so start with your goal and
231. 35:17target audience and business problem that you're solving worry less about Ai and more about the problem you're solving and then figure
232. 35:25out which AI tool do you need to to use or build to go do that that would that would be my advice there um

234. 35:44yes love this okay for a client oh wait sorry ah Tick Tock it just jumped me somewhere okay wait for a client I have
235. 35:51to write blog posts so I would use chat EBT for searching for sources but but I don't know what the butt is I
236. 36:00assume you're saying but it's not connected to the internet um so so what I would do is I would use chat GPT that is check your sources so
237. 36:09so the thing about chat EBT and all these large language models they don't actually know what they're typing what
238. 36:16they type makes it look like they are conscious and know what they're doing it's just a prediction model so it's not
239. 36:23actually aware of what it wrote so it will confidently write you a citation that are very often just false so if you
240. 36:32say browse with Bing you could say um find me a news story on uh Ai and cyber secure
241. 36:47a t spelled wrong you can also spell things very wrong it doesn't care which which makes me very happy
242. 36:55um a new story on AI and cyber security write me oh wait comma write me a 500 word blog post
243. 37:11and provide the citation for your sources let's see if it does it I haven't actually tried this with the
244. 37:22with the Internet connected version of this so This should go out and get us a news item let me see if I can get it to focus
245. 37:28so you can see it a little better um you know we've had these cameras in our phones for like a couple of decades do
246. 37:42you think we could get them to focus on a computer screen no anyone anyone from Apple anyone Bueller Bueller

276. 42:28both good but I don't know I haven't got access to the beta updates on my chat GPT did you did you go to your settings and enable
277. 42:40them because if you didn't go to settings and enable the beta features they won't be there but there are some
278. 42:46beta features like code interpreter that I don't have access to so I think I think open AI is just being a little
279. 42:53slow about how they're rolling this stuff out chat CPT only shows me 404 Pages then you're probably not at the official chat EBT go
280. 43:04chat.openai.com there are so many [ __ ] scam sites because this thing got so popular it's possible you're on a
281. 43:10scam site go to chat.openai.com or go to bing.com and click on the chat button what are your qualifications I am an
282. 43:19entrepreneur I've been an entrepreneur for 30 35 years um I started one of the first digital agencies in the mid 90s and one of the
283. 43:29reasons that I started this channel is that the parallels between the early days of the web and the early days of
284. 43:34this generative AI stuff are like they're almost identical like they're they're insanely parallel and I think what's coming with
285. 43:43generative AI is way more intense and coming way faster than the World Wide Web stuff came um so to just put it in context the
286. 43:52World Wide Web took six years to get to 100 million users Chachi BT took six weeks to get to 100 million users um
287. 44:01it's like one of the other parallels is the internet had been around for decades right and but it was it was primarily
288. 44:10used by researchers and scientists and Librarians and it was it was this very technical thing and then Tim berners-lee
289. 44:18creates the world wide web and it kind of opens this door to the rest of the world right and and what happened
290. 44:25happened right the internet is made available available to the rest of us and it changes everything AI same thing it's been around for
291. 44:34decades um Google invents this thing called the Transformer that allows training on large data sets and that begins the
292. 44:42foundation for gpt1 gpt2 gpt3 mid-journey stable diffusion right all these all these different things
293. 44:49anthropic which is a bunch of EX open AI people and then November of last year um openai launches chat gbt and it's
294. 45:00that is the seminal moment it's it's this identical moment to the World Wide Web like hey hey regular people go use
295. 45:07this so my interest in this is knowing enough about it to know how the [ __ ] do you use these tools and how are they
296. 45:15going to impact my business and your business and everyone's business and how are they going to transform jobs if you
297. 45:21look at what chat GPT can do and you're a copywriter and you're not [ __ ] terrified there's something wrong with
298. 45:27you right but at the same time you should also be incredibly excited right so so there's there's just absolute um Wild
299. 45:37Beast of a tool that's in our hands right now that's going to change a lot of things and disrupt a lot of things so
300. 45:43my passion right now is learning as much as I can and then sharing as much as I can to get people um curious about it and exploring it so
301. 45:51that you're more you're not at the mercy of what's about to come because I think it's coming very very fast
302. 46:00um can you do it on your Android because I can find the plugins on my phone can you do it on your Android well
303. 46:10if you point your web browser on Android to chat.openai.com that's that's how you use it if there if there's no official open AI
304. 46:23chat GPT app so if you're using chat GPT apps on Android or on iOS that are not the official openai one and there's like
305. 46:32there's a ton of scam apps out there that are charging you money to just basically probably use gpt3 um so so just be really careful that's
306. 46:41why I have these on screen these These are more like a public service announcement than anything um that's where you should be using them or
307. 46:50I mean that's where you should be going and if you want to use the official IOS app go to openai.com and there's a link
308. 46:56to it on the home page there's so many in the App Store it's really confusing they all their logos look like open ai's

314. 47:47so GPT for all for for those of you that that are are curious there's there's a bunch of Open Source projects out there
315. 47:55and open source large language models and GPT for all is a package that will install um large language models locally on your
316. 48:05on your laptop or on your PC and then you can use different models different open source models the reason
317. 48:13I haven't been playing so much with the open source models is that like literally a new one comes out every two
318. 48:19days and and they're pretty big and you got to install them and you kind of got to geek out and GPT for all helps with that
319. 48:27um but I'm just kind of letting the like I'm gonna wait for the dust to settle a bit on the large language
320. 48:35models because at some point one of them is going to be as good as gpt4 and it's going to be something you can just
321. 48:40install in a machine that doesn't have to have a massive GPU so I'm just kind of waiting on that right now so I would say if you're geeky
322. 48:49um and and and don't mind reinstalling new [ __ ] every three days then I would dig in and go play with that because I
323. 48:55bet it's I I'm sure there's really interesting stuff going on there I just don't have the time for it right now
324. 49:01best AI plug-in to get my paper on uh uh turnitin um I don't know I don't know what the process would be to get your paper there
325. 49:12um I don't know what help you need do you need help writing the paper or marketing the paper or submitting the
326. 49:18paper I don't quite know what the problem is create an AI tool with AI exactly this gets very meta very quick like like
327. 49:27yeah when you have it start programming like you haven't start figuring out how to program itself and that's there's
328. 49:35there's a thing called autonomous agents there's one called Auto GPT and one called Baby AGI um agent GPT I think is another one
329. 49:44that's got a web front end on it um and and they're tools that use chat GPT to prompt itself to use other tools
330. 49:52right so you give it a go like go find all the um weaknesses of my competitors and it will just give it it will literally
331. 50:00write it self prompts to to say okay go to Google and find all the competitors and then go here and do this and then Analyze That and
332. 50:09um so so what's coming is is pretty pretty insane um Can AI build me a business online um I don't quite know what you mean
333. 50:22but it can certainly like what I would start with is tell it tell it what you're good at what you're interested in
334. 50:31the the other thing so so if you go to prompts some sequencing if you just say to chat GPT can you build me a business
335. 50:37online it'll say of course here's a business online it's going to give you some generic piece of [ __ ] but if you go to
336. 50:46if you start thinking about turning chat gbt into um like a consultant I'm going to go to prompts.chat and show you what I mean
337. 50:57so prompts.chat is is basically just this this long list the the top half of this document explains like you know
338. 51:05what effective prompt writing is and kind of how it works and there's there's some e-books and there's you know free
339. 51:12ebooks and paid ebooks and uh whatever and then um it talks to you about the idea that you can turn Chat GPT into a specific
340. 51:24Persona and and believe it or not it actually makes chat EBT much better so so this is just a big long list of
341. 51:33prompts like act as a travel guide act as an Advertiser act as a Storyteller act as a motivational coach act as a
342. 51:41debater so you could say act as a as an online business consultant you could you could take any one of these prompts here
343. 51:48and there might even be something in here right that that is in the neighborhood of what you're looking for
344. 51:53but just go to this list and and kind of understand this basic concept and then what I would say is have chat GPT act as
345. 52:00an online business coach and you know start to tell it your um idea or what your goals are um you know what your capabilities are
346. 52:13do you have any money to spend because if you have no money to spend on things like advertising it might give you a
347. 52:19marketing plan that says okay go buy you know 500 worth of ads and you're sitting there going like wow I have five dollars for my ads what
348. 52:27so so give it context and then let it teach you um how to do that business and then say well what might be 10 ideas and it'll
349. 52:36give you 10 ideas and then if you don't like any of them say no those are all two whatever they're too complicated or
350. 52:42they don't you know they don't excite me can you do ones that are more like this and it'll give you 10 more and then you
351. 52:48can pick two of those and say okay these two I like can you give me 20 that are more like that and it will and then and
352. 52:54then just start to unpack it and you know almost think of it like you know the peeling the proverbial onion where
353. 53:01you just keep asking questions and you keep digging deeper with it and and you'll eventually get there and yeah it
354. 53:07can help you create an online business can you explain the workflow of your G form zapier open yeah to
355. 53:17um to Auto email yes I can I'll do that in a second here can AI save us from poverty very possibly there's there's on the poverty question
356. 53:28um I heard last week that Tech shops in San Francisco that are fully embracing AI they're seeing 30 to 40 percent
357. 53:35productivity increases and and I I think this is something that we're going to see across businesses um and so
358. 53:44there's kind of two ways that you deal with that right if you're a private Equity Firm you're like cut 30 or 40
359. 53:50percent of the people that's one option that's the that's the more dystopian future the other option is hey we're 30
360. 53:58to 40 percent more productive let's increase the quality of our work or let's you know get more clients or or
361. 54:06whatever so so there's a version of this where Prosperity increases um it is up to all of us to find places or to create companies
362. 54:15that do the additive version of this not the subtractive version of this um Okay so zapier is what's called an automation tool
363. 54:26there's a there's a bunch of them out there zapier is one of the more well-known ones and let me show you first what what the
364. 54:34tool that I created does I'll show I'll show you what it does and then we'll come back and I'll show you how I created it foreign
365. 54:44so if you go to contentevolution.net there's a tool on the home page called The Challenge engine and this is a Google form and you put in
366. 54:55your name and your email and then you put in your business category a challenge that you're facing and then
367. 55:01you answer a few questions about the challenge and then when you submit it about 30 seconds later you get back an email
368. 55:11hang on let me show you uh Gmail you get back an email that
369. 55:29um restates restates the challenge like cloudtech doesn't always work and then it gives you sort of a synopsis of what the issue
370. 55:39is and then in in I think it's six different categories it gives you three strategic questions you should be asking
371. 55:46you know from a customer perspective from a brand perspective from an internal organizational culture perspective right so and then it also
372. 55:55does all the HTML formatting so you notice these are like bold with the red underline and these are bullet points so
373. 56:00all the HTML formatting was done with GPT as well so the the the content itself plus the formatting is done
374. 56:10um in about 30 seconds right so pretty pretty amazing result for not a lot of input so when you're in zapier you create these
375. 56:21things called zaps hence the name they spell it zapier they pronounce it zapier because technologists huh oh oh Geeks
376. 56:35you're so predictable all right um so basically what it is is this there there's think of it like Lego blocks and
377. 56:45so you start with what's called a trigger and the trigger is something happens that gets you a piece of data and then
378. 56:52from that piece of data you can send that piece of data to other things other Lego blocks to do [ __ ]
379. 57:00so the the trigger is new response in a Google form so so basically I hook in my Google form um and when someone completes that form it
380. 57:12takes the input of that form and it sends it to the next Lego block which in this case is let's go let's go right
381. 57:19um let's go write a prompt and send it to open AI and so I've got it's a that one in particular is a long complicated prompt
382. 57:27this took us this took us a while to figure out but basically there's a lot of context giving at the top of the
383. 57:33prompt and then you'll notice these these boxes here these are the inputs from the form right so so this is
384. 57:39basically taking saying take the data from the form and then incorporate it you know into the rest of this prompt
385. 57:46and send that off to chat gbt so this prompt gives us the content I then take the content that was written
386. 57:54and I I have another prompt that does all the HTML formatting so I take the somewhere at the bottom here down at the
387. 58:02bottom here's the response from the second Lego block which is the the content copy and then everything up here
388. 58:10is is the prompt that sort of sets the rules for the HTML send that off to open AI and then there's a Lego block for
389. 58:18generating an email and that's got it's an HTML email and here's all the code that came back from open AI with a couple other variables in
390. 58:28it and then that gets sent to the person and it also creates a row in a spreadsheet so that's how it works
391. 58:37um and and you know the thing about zapier is it's really wonky it's really um it's unreliable it's wonky
392. 58:50um but it's but you don't need like what what you need to learn with zapier is kind of it's It's idiosyncrasies but you
393. 58:57don't need to learn coding and you don't need to like you need to be able to you kind of need to understand enough to be
394. 59:03able to say go get an API key from open Ai and understand what that is and if you don't quite understand that level of
395. 59:09like what's an API and what's an API key and where do I get that like that's the kind of thing where you can have chat
396. 59:15gbt maybe you know act as your tutor to get you up to speed on it once you get that basic concept down and and the idea
397. 59:23that these are like Lego blocks that you're just passing data from one Lego block to the next um then then it's relatively
398. 59:30straightforward and and then it then it comes down to like like all these things it comes down to what's the business
399. 59:35problem you're trying to solve right what are you trying to do who's the audience what's the problem what's the solution that sort of thing
400. 59:44all right what's with all the typing I don't know someone asked me to do something so I was typing and I'm also
401. 59:50trying to show people chat gbt if you haven't played with chat gbt uh that's the top URL right there chat.openai.com
402. 59:58this is the AI learning lab so I'm here um sharing what I'm learning kind of in real time about generative AI with

405. 1:00:24it's tick tock it's live what are you gonna do no code here how do I create a quiz for lead generation that will return profiles [Music]
406. 1:00:36um pretty much like I just showed right I would create you you would create the quiz in Google forms you'd pull that in
407. 1:00:44and then I think you I mean you might you you might take the input of those forms and what you send back to the person is here's your score
408. 1:00:54and then you and you then you send the data in a different prompt to open Ai and say you know give me a profile from
409. 1:01:02a business a lead generation perspective is this person you know high high medium or low likelihood to be a good customer
410. 1:01:09for us and you know based on their answers do they have budget do they you know so so you could do dual analysis
411. 1:01:16you take one input from the form and then you send one prompt to open AI to get something you send back to them and another prompt
412. 1:01:24to give you analysis for you that might be a way to do it and there's like like that example I showed I'm using
413. 1:01:34four modules Google forms open AIS gpt3 um API uh the Gmail thing and then Google Sheets so five there are like five
414. 1:01:48thousand Lego blocks in in zapier to play with um so so yeah anyway um I actually deserve an a for the Elegance
415. 1:01:59of my prompts awesome if you're listen if you're if you're I I feel like we're entering the Revenge of the liberal arts major where if
416. 1:02:07you're good with words and if you're good with broad Concepts you tend to be pretty good at prompting because you it
417. 1:02:13it's very much it's very much akin to you know if someone hired a really capable intern and sat them in your office could you tell them
418. 1:02:25what to do to get give you what you need it's kind of like it's kind of like that try putting something over the glowing
419. 1:02:33keys so I so I don't focus on them oh all right that seems like a minor I can just turn them down wait where'd the oh they took it off
420. 1:02:43no I can't I don't care sorry about that you you're just gonna have to focus on them I like I'm I'm trying all sorts of
421. 1:02:51things I've now got my laptop essentially above eye level so that the camera isn't shooting up my nostrils
422. 1:02:56because I've been getting trolls talking about my nose hairs and that I should have my thyroid checked so I'm trying

453. 1:07:25debate so so for image generation tools there's mid Journey there's stable diffusion there's Dolly there's Adobe
454. 1:07:31Firefly there's now generative AI within Photoshop you have a lot of different options in my opinion right now for like
455. 1:07:38the state of the art today um mid-journey is the highest quality images Adobe Firefly and generative fill
456. 1:07:47within Photoshop are commercially safe so mid Journey has been trained on lots of copywritten images and if you use
457. 1:07:54that for commercial work you're potentially opening yourself up for issues down the line like if you're a
458. 1:08:01big company probably don't do it your lawyers won't be happy with you use the Adobe stuff but the Adobe stuff's not as
459. 1:08:08good quality wise so what I'm going to show you right now is mid Journey which I think is the best one
460. 1:08:13when you click on try the beta it takes you over to Discord which if you've never been on Discord you're lucky it's
461. 1:08:20it's just like slack if you know what slack is it's basically a threaded comment um the way it works is down the left
462. 1:08:28hand side here you've got these are all your different servers so these are all the different communities that I'm a
463. 1:08:33part of or that I've installed but I'm too lazy to get rid of and then the next column down these are
464. 1:08:40the channels right so these are like the groups where you have conversations so I'm in one right now for for the AI
465. 1:08:45Salon which is which is a a community that I started and we have a channel in here called mid-journey play so we can
466. 1:08:52actually make some stuff with mid-journey so the the way you create an image in general is you say slash imagine
467. 1:09:01and then when you say slash imagine it pops open a prompt and you say um let's say photo of um a
468. 1:09:16terrifying uh Thunder storm over the Rocky Mountains comma Ansel uh like we'll say buy Ansel Adams
469. 1:09:37and I'm going to do black and white photo BW photo and then I'm going to do comma oh you're not comma I'll go dash dash AR
470. 1:09:47which stands for aspect ratio 16 colon 9 and I'll just hit that and then it's going to go off and make the image and
471. 1:09:55if you're sitting there thinking why are you typing like like image commands to generate like why are you
472. 1:10:04typing like command line interface to generate images because that's where it is right now um you have to with mid-journey you have
473. 1:10:12to do things within um Discord but so here's here's this is there's a way to do this there's another way that
474. 1:10:21to do what you're talking about in stable diffusion um there's one thing called dreambooth there's another thing called control net
475. 1:10:29I'm just showing you a version of this within mid-journey but it's it's relatively straightforward so um

481. 1:11:33right so we're back to the slash imagine thing and rather than starting to write my prompt I paste in that URL and then I
482. 1:11:43write my prompt and I'm going to say um Med evil night on night in shining armor
483. 1:12:00you can also feed your ego with this but it also backfires sometimes on a white horse after a hard battle and then I'm going to do dash dash
484. 1:12:13AR-16 colon 9 and they're gonna go do that and so and so now it's going to take that image and so sometimes it's really
485. 1:12:22flattering what it does and then there's other times where it's like did you know you were 450 pounds no matter what you

506. 1:15:28chat EBT and the Microsoft investment and things like that I feel like there's just they've just got a head start on

513. 1:16:20GPT 3 3 3.5 and 4 are the basic base models chat GPT is an application that sits on top of those base models so is

515. 1:16:39and then there's basically the application layer chat GPT is just an application It Was Written in two weeks and it was just kind of tossed

537. 1:19:58so there's a couple of different things there there's generative there's generative fill within Photoshop so you could sort
538. 1:20:08of highlight the person and then inverse your selection and and have it fill in the background just change the background so that's a way
539. 1:20:16you could do it um look at um stable diffusion control net is another way but you're gonna you're gonna need
540. 1:20:25to really geek out for that it's a like all of the a lot of these tools right now because we're so early in this a lot
541. 1:20:31of the tools require a fair amount of geeking out so you need to sort of figure out where you are on the how
542. 1:20:36comfortable am I going to GitHub and firing up a repository and if if what I just said makes no sense then you know where you are
543. 1:20:46what that is and you're comfortable doing that then you can go start playing with things like stable diffusion and

557. 1:22:35and then you type your prompt um uh please uh oh and if you find yourself saying please and thank you to chat EPT that's

559. 1:22:58AI um AI will save Humanity rather than destroy it so I typed that in and because I put the
560. 1:23:13word perfect in front of it it's now going to fire off that plug-in and it's going to rewrite it for me

587. 1:26:58a wide range of Technologies oh natural language processing machine learning well it's I mean like in so many ways so
588. 1:27:11so it's going to be able to code it's going to be able to like like if you look at if if you haven't um go search for
589. 1:27:20code interpreter on YouTube and just watch some YouTube videos about what code interpreter does you're going to be
590. 1:27:28able to use generative AI to to augment improvements of um all the machine learning stuff like you're seeing it right now with the um
591. 1:27:41with the open source Community they're taking relatively weak large language models and they're using gpt4 to do all
592. 1:27:49the what would have been human training to to make these things strong they're using GPT models to do that so so
593. 1:27:56the AI is actually starting to train itself and and there's a decently famous um uh leak from a Google employee called
594. 1:28:07we have no moat and what he's talking about in that um in that statement is that he doesn't feel like they have a competitive
595. 1:28:15Advantage with these large language models because the open source Community is spending like a hundred bucks and
596. 1:28:21they're creating models that are almost as strong as what Google took 10 million dollars to train um so so yeah not only do I think it can
597. 1:28:31be applied to that stuff like it's being applied to it right now and I think that's going to continue I think we're we're starting to
598. 1:28:38hit an acceleration point of innovation where like if you're paying attention to this stuff it is like it is it is
599. 1:28:46it's impossible to comprehend on a weekly basis the amount of you know technical innovations that are that are
600. 1:28:53coming and it's going to continue to accelerate for probably a long time like probably a decade or two or three or like
601. 1:29:01you know until we hit Shangri-La or we melt the planet it's like in the middle all right chat GPT only shows me
602. 1:29:13articles on paywall pages when I ask for a source for the blog post I know there's a listen the whole you know
603. 1:29:20don't forget we're very very early with this stuff so so right now there's not there not not a lot there's almost no
604. 1:29:27sophistication in terms of these tools being aware of what they presented to you they're probability engines that are
605. 1:29:35that are literally just saying what's the highest likelihood of each next word being the right word and it it sort of
606. 1:29:41types all those words and puts that [ __ ] out there and then as humans we read it and we're like oh that seems really plausible and
607. 1:29:47they're like you lied to me why did you lie to me chat gpg that doesn't seem fair at all a nice person wouldn't do that
608. 1:29:55because it it it's not actually aware of what it typed or or what citation it gave you or is it behind a paywall or not
609. 1:30:05give it a year or two that like that's a company that could be started right now it probably is being started right now
610. 1:30:11is a company that you know just analyzes you know citations and references that these large language models put out and
611. 1:30:19vets them right so that'll be a plug-in of a plug-in um so so just be patient with it it'll get there all right so then everything's okay I
612. 1:30:28don't know if everything's okay but um easiest site to generate photos um well easiest site I would say the
613. 1:30:36easiest is probably Adobe Firefly um leonardo.ai is pretty good um quality wise mid-journey is the best um
614. 1:30:50the hardest one is stable diffusion but it's got the most developers behind it because it's open source please create a YouTube channel

639. 1:35:17it can help come up with tactics that's not true anymore house house bat vintage that's a good name um because
640. 1:35:25um it's connected to the internet now so if we go back to EBT you can make money with chat gbt if we go back here
641. 1:35:34and we go to browse with Bing so now I can say um um please give uh give me a
642. 1:35:50table of monthly um I don't know prices and returns from the major stock indexes in the U.S

659. 1:38:59your data um shared with open Ai and and be vulnerable um because you're storing um your prompts out in the open the
660. 1:39:11first thing that you should do is export your data because when you do what I'm about to tell you it's going to delete
661. 1:39:17all of your prompt history so export it first and then where it says chat history and training you turn that off
662. 1:39:24I've got mine on because I'm not doing anything particularly proprietary and I want my chat history but you can turn
663. 1:39:30that off and that helps and then open AI is also creating a business version of chat EPT where I'm sure you'll have much better um
664. 1:39:39data and privacy tools all right the better the prompt you feed it the better the output yep absolutely we have to get great at articulating
665. 1:39:49Vision well you have to get great right now because the tools are raw but but the the tools are going to start prompting themselves so
666. 1:39:58um I don't think you're gonna need to I think I think getting good at prompt engineering right now is the equivalent
667. 1:40:04of learning math at the dawn of the calculator right like yeah you need to learn you need to understand the basic

685. 1:42:44naming things is hard naming things with chat EBT is not hard if you give if you give chat GPT here's what I'm you know
686. 1:42:52here are the criteria here's the brand here's what I'm thinking about um and especially if you give it an example or two
687. 1:43:00tell it to give you 20 names and then and then just keep iterating pick the top five give it those five say I like
688. 1:43:06these give me 20 more give me 20 more give me 20 more you can like I've had some really good luck with naming stuff
689. 1:43:14very very quickly and very well you have to you have to iterate but but like with all the things think of it like this try not to have the
690. 1:43:22expectation that chat gbt is going to give you a hundred percent result ever think of it like if you get your
691. 1:43:30prompting good you can get to maybe 80 90 if you're killing it and then it's up to you to to close to finish it
692. 1:43:38um that's been my experience and and when I get good at it what I find is I can get I can get to 80 within five minutes pretty consistently
693. 1:43:47and that saves me the two hours it would have taken to get to that eighty percent anyway and then I can just be at this higher
694. 1:43:54level refinement creative rather than blocking and tackling what aif environment do you spend most of your time using chechi PT that's why
695. 1:44:04that's there that's why it's number one you need to understand your process can you clip this or make a video I don't

724. 1:48:27them so just tell it to tell it you want to do it you want to run your python code on a website if you just want to
725. 1:48:33dick around with it because otherwise you're like installing things you have to go to the terminal look look I find it exhausting um

748. 1:52:39that will will give you enough information to help me create a strategy I want you to ask the questions one by
749. 1:52:45one and don't move on to the next question until I've told you okay move on or something like that and it will
750. 1:52:51literally start acting like a business consultant walking you through the process um does paying for it keep your
751. 1:52:59information in prompts private no they're they're creating a business version of chat CPT that might but not
752. 1:53:06right now you can disable if you go to data controls you can disable them using your data for training and you can disable your
753. 1:53:15chat history your prompt history um but it will delete your entire prompt history so that's why I haven't done it

760. 1:54:16saying that their kid was an [ __ ] in school bang and follow that one as an example and it will copy your tone
761. 1:54:24but you can also just give it feedback that was that was you know make me sound smarter make me make it more relaxed
