AI Learning Lab
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data AI Learning Lab (the “Site”) processes, why, and the rights you have. It is written to align with the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who we are
This Site is operated by Digital Gods (the “operator”, “we”, “us”), the data controller responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us using the details in the Contact section at the foot of this page.
2. The data we process, and why
The Site is a static archive and does not require an account. We do not run advertising. The data we process is:
- Server logs
- Our web server automatically records standard request information — your IP address, browser user-agent, the page or file requested, the date and time, and the referring page. This is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site (for example, detecting abuse or diagnosing errors).
- Search queries
- When you use the search box, your query text may be sent to our search endpoint to return matching results. Queries are processed to answer your request and are not used to build a profile of you. (Where your browser supports it, search runs entirely on your device and no query leaves your browser at all.)
- Analytics (only with your consent)
- If you choose “Accept” in our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js) to understand how the Site is used — for example pages viewed, approximate location (derived from your IP by Google, not stored by us), and device/browser type. Google acts as our processor and sets analytics cookies (such as
_ga). If you choose “Decline”, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected. You can change your choice at any time from the Cookies section below. - Embedded YouTube content
- Video pages embed a YouTube player. We load it in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (
youtube-nocookie.com), so Google does not set cookies on your device until you choose to play a video. Once you press play, YouTube/Google may receive your IP address and set cookies under their own privacy policy.
3. Legal basis
We process server logs and search queries on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in providing, securing, and improving the Site, balanced against your rights. Analytics is processed only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time. Where you actively start a YouTube video, any further processing by Google is governed by your interaction and Google’s own legal bases.
4. Cookies and third-party content
By default the Site sets no cookies. If you accept analytics in our cookie banner, Google Analytics sets measurement cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*); if you decline, none are set. The embedded YouTube player sets no cookies until you start playback, after which YouTube/Google may set cookies on your device. You can change your analytics choice at any time, or use Google’s opt-out browser add-on. You can review Google’s practices in the Google Privacy Policy. Your browser may also store a local copy of the search index for performance; this is functional storage on your device and is not used to track you.
5. Data retention
Server logs are retained for up to 30 days and then rotated and deleted, unless we must keep a specific record longer to investigate abuse or comply with a legal obligation. Search queries are not stored beyond what is needed to return your results. Analytics data, if you consent, is retained according to our Google Analytics configuration and Google’s policies.
6. International transfers
Because the Site embeds YouTube, starting a video may transfer data to Google LLC in the United States. Google relies on its own safeguards for such transfers, including the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR, you have the right to: access your personal data; have it rectified; have it erased; restrict or object to its processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the EU/EEA, your local Data Protection Authority; in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
8. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. This version is effective 28 June 2026.
