10:48 for a couple of days and it was down
10:50 I've never seen chat gbt down like down

10:59 someone's wanting to
11:00 join uh someone else will deal with that
11:04 okay it's good to it's good to
11:06 understand what your options are so I'm
11:08 going to walk you through a bunch of
11:09 stuff of of some of the options to chat
11:12 GPT this that's what shelves in the
11:16 office are for ego let's see how much of
11:18 my stuff up here is ego there's two of
11:20 them there's photographs that I took
11:22 photograph books that I made yeah it's
11:24 all ego you're right Pate it's all ego

11:28 booze

11:59 the news so so Claude 2.1 came out they
12:04 announced a 200,000 token context window
12:09 uh upping chat gpt's announcement of
12:13 whatever that was
12:15 125 so so they're kind of one uping chat
12:18 GPT um they've also done a 2X decrease
12:21 in hallucinations so so Claude Claude
12:24 was already good and already a good
12:26 competitor to chat GPT for the text
12:28 stuff um it's it's now catching
12:32 up um stable diffusion St stability AI
12:36 launched stable video diffusion today so
12:39 stable diffusions version of text to
12:42 video the booze helps keep the ego
12:45 afloat that's good that's solid I like
12:47 it and then Microsoft announced co-pilot
12:50 studio today so co-pilot studio is
12:53 Microsoft's answer to
12:56 gpts so in co-pilot Studio you can
12:59 create co-pilots which are their branded
13:03 version of
13:04 gpts um are they going to be completely
13:08 compatible with chat with gpts I don't
13:11 know I like everything's up in the air
13:13 right now because of all the open AI
13:15 [ __ ] going on um but what do I think of
13:19 them I think
13:23 that how Microsoft is um integrating
13:28 this co-pilot brand ending is very
13:30 impressive I think the interface of how
13:33 they do what they do is impressive I
13:35 think their safety guard rails are
13:38 horseshit they're really bad their
13:40 safety guard rails make it for me A lot
13:43 of times unusable so depending on how
13:46 you work and what you like to do um it's
13:50 probably great it's based on
13:52 gp4 it's never going to go away
13:54 Microsoft is fully committed to this
13:57 infrastructure um well it's not never
14:00 going to go away it's it's got a very
14:02 low like likelihood of going away um I I
14:06 my my my instinct is they're going to
14:09 figure their [ __ ] out at open AI they're
14:11 going to fix the the board and the
14:13 governance issues there's going to be
14:16 some
14:17 new I don't know whatever weird
14:19 restriction and it will it will just
14:21 carry on that's my instinct my instinct
14:23 is it's going to be fine if not
14:26 Microsoft will hire Sam Alman all of
14:28 opena will quit the company will
14:31 effectively have to fold and Microsoft
14:33 will probably buy it for pennies on the
14:34 dollar right and hire everyone for you
14:37 know zero dollar in recruiting fees
14:39 other than you know 150% of what you're
14:42 making an open AI so so um so I think
14:48 co-pilot's really interesting the other
14:50 thing that that I think is I'm sure
14:52 they'll do a co-pilot store BT uh compa
14:56 comp comp wait oh BT PC no BT comp casso
15:03 I don't know how to say your name um
15:06 they changed the branding um from chat.
15:11 bing.com to co-pilot
15:14 microsoft.com I see that as significant
15:17 because it means they're separating
15:19 co-pilot from Bing they're letting Bing
15:21 be the search engine and they're
15:23 separating co-pilot out and they're
15:25 saying this is a distinct and unique
15:27 product from Bing I think that's
15:29 significant
15:31 okay so what else we're going to do is
15:33 we're going to go look
15:38 at yeah we're going to go look at that

15:59 perplexity no good failed me on easy
16:02 queries I've had a similar experience
16:04 with perplexity t-rock but there are
16:07 people that I know that I trust that
16:09 have integrity that are smart that love
16:12 perplexity so I am clearly missing
16:15 something but Be not Afraid thank you so
16:17 much that's very generous of you I
16:18 appreciate it um so so I'm with you on
16:22 perplexity but but to be fair I haven't
16:25 really used it because the couple of
16:27 times I've used it it didn't do what I
16:28 want does Claude have an image generator
16:30 no
16:32 so
16:34 um the only
16:37 two that are truly multimodal right now
16:41 are open
16:42 AI uh chat GPT and co-pilot now
16:49 po po is multimodal po.com
16:53 in that you can use a bunch of different
16:56 models with pose front end and one of of
16:59 those models you can use is stability Ai
17:01 and one of them is
17:03 D um so that's a third
17:08 option I think that's it so I'll go look
17:11 at Po Po's also really interesting
17:14 because PO
17:16 is in this hairball hornets nest of the
17:20 negotiations at open
17:22 AI because Adam D'Angelo who's the CEO
17:26 of quar who owns PO is on the nonprofit
17:31 Board of open AI that just fired Sam
17:35 Alman who launched a competitor to Poots
17:39 in his
17:41 gpts and apparently it really pissed off
17:43 at
17:46 him so there are conspiracy theories
17:50 like for like like up and down the
17:52 California coast about all the different
17:54 reasons that Sam Alman got fired and
17:57 then I've noticed in the past 4 hours
17:59 there's definitely a damage campaign
18:01 where people are trying to knock Sam
18:03 down and and
18:05 um uh encourage people not to trust him
18:10 it's got it's gotten pretty loud in the
18:13 past four hours and I don't know what
18:14 that's about but it's
18:16 interesting I don't really care at this
18:19 point I'm just like just [ __ ] just
18:21 cut a deal fire him or not like just it
18:23 doesn't [ __ ] matter just stabilize
18:25 whatever the hell we're doing so we can
18:27 know whether or not to play on cat gvt
18:29 anymore or not anyway the

19:54 things like here's featured items here's
19:56 the top posts here's members near you so
19:59 you can see people that are near you
20:03 someone just commented um here's Top
20:06 members um spaces all that sort of stuff
20:11 then you've got an events calendar so
20:13 like the next Salon organizers meeting
20:15 or the ai101 zoom meeting so ai11 is the
20:18 guild for beginners um and then you can
20:21 see all the beginners and you can talk
20:23 to them and it's it's just super cool
20:25 now about the salon this is important so

22:58 resources you can ask for help and then

26:52 kind of the biggies so the big four
26:55 underneath chat GPT are clawed and
26:58 Claude just announced Claude 2.1 today
27:01 grock which is Elon musk's Twitter
27:05 powered X powered large language model
27:09 which is not live yet but it's it seems
27:11 to be going live in a limited release
27:14 there's Bard which is Google's large
27:17 language model which is improving and
27:19 then you've got co-pilot co-pilot
27:23 microsoft.com um which used to be Bing
27:25 Bing chat all that sort of stuff it's
27:27 now got its own
27:28 um domain co-pilot is
27:32 gp4 in terms of the engine underneath it
27:36 um so it's multimodal it can make images
27:39 it can see images things like that okay
27:42 and then prompt. chat if you're really
27:44 new to this stuff and you're trying to
27:45 figure out how to talk to these things
27:46 that's a little primer that might help
27:48 you that Elon announced every $16 a
27:51 month person will get grock access next
27:53 week okay good I paid my 16 bucks a

39:05 kidding me so apparently they were
39:09 associated fees with what oh with the AI
39:12 Salon no um we are we are um what do you
39:18 call it we are accepting monthly
39:21 sponsors like businesses the monthly
39:23 sponsorship right now is basically just
39:25 the cost of our
39:28 um Mighty Network's subscription which
39:31 is like 120 bucks a month so maybe we'll

40:32 gp4 so it's got
40:35 125 token
40:37 125,000 token context window so co-pilot
40:41 Claude and chat GPT all have very large
40:44 context
40:45 Windows um and po because they give you
40:49 access to the CLA models and the chat
40:52 GPT
40:53 models also has large context window so
40:58 listen I know this is complicated right
41:00 now so you you don't need to memorize
41:03 these or learn all these like why I have
41:04 them written down is I want you to
41:05 screenshot these so that you can go back
41:08 and play like every one of these is a
41:10 rabbit hole and and what's important is
41:14 that we're in such an early stage of
41:17 this generative AI that is it is
41:20 absolutely unclear which of these tools
41:23 is going to emerge as the leader what
41:25 you're also going to find is some tools
41:27 are going to be some good at some stuff
41:29 you do some tools are going to be good
41:31 at other stuff you do and some are going
41:33 to be good at both and some are going to
41:35 be crappy at both it it really depends
41:37 on how you work and how you talk and how
41:39 you think and how you you know man
41:41 manipulate these tools um so it's it's
41:45 worth exploring them all but think of it
41:47 a lot more like play than work just go
41:50 play just go play with them see where
41:52 the boundaries are someone you know said
41:54 to me earlier I tried perplexity and it
41:56 gave me [ __ ] results and I've talked to
41:58 other people that are like I only use
41:59 perplexity cuz it's the best and it
42:01 never gives me [ __ ] results I'm like

1:02:07 that people have made
1:02:09 and you can go create a bot make your
1:02:12 own so this is almost identical this is
1:02:15 almost an identical interface to chat
1:02:18 GPT you put in a picture you give a name
1:02:20 of your Bot you choose a model and
1:02:24 they've they've given you a bunch Dolly
1:02:27 3 is one so you can make a bot to make
1:02:30 images then you put in your prompt then
1:02:33 you have it uh generate some like a
1:02:36 greeting message and things like that
1:02:37 you can also they just added add a
1:02:40 knowledge source so you can upload your
1:02:41 own documents so that was the big thing
1:02:44 that chat GPT had that PO didn't well
1:02:47 they just added it to
1:02:49 PO and then
1:02:51 basically um and then it's also got
1:02:53 monetization so visit the creators in
1:02:55 the menu to learn more about Creator
1:02:57 monetization and unlock exclusive

1:03:05 should absolutely learn to make these
