Description
Description: On September 30, 2023 I hosted my weekly TikTok live session focused on AI education and community building. This session covered the current state of generative AI and how rapidly evolving tools like DALL-E, Midjourney and Stable Diffusion are democratizing creativity. I walked through real examples of how anyone can leverage these tools today to create images, video, music and more. The implications of this democratization and how individuals and companies should respond was a recurring theme. I also announced an upcoming 3-part AI workshop series on the Ronda Phillips YouTube channel. If you're interested in learning more about how AI is changing the world, join me on TikTok live every Saturday night. #ai #generativeai #dalle #midjourney #stablediffusion #ailearninglab

0:06 [Music] 0:18 welcome to the lab happy Saturday 0:24 night it is late I'm getting a late 0:29 start oops 0:30 I just blew up my 0:32 thing let me get that 0:41 back welcome welcome 0:44 welcome good day good day to you sir 0:48 good day to you sir good day good day 0:52 yeah you're here hey Corey what's 0:53 happening I uh yeah I was out tonight I 0:57 was 0:58 mcing an an auction for a fundraiser for 1:02 my business partner 1:04 School what's up poly Z what's 1:08 happening so I was the auctioneer with 1:11 the mostest come on buy this 1:14 [ __ ] and people bought 1:17 [ __ ] I couldn't cuss though CU it was 1:20 for a school although the school is for 1:24 a bunch of neuroatypical kids so I think 1:27 I think they're all used to they're all 1:29 used to 1:31 special special brain functioning 1:38 humans welcome everybody if you're new 1:40 here my name is Kyle Shannon this is the 1:42 AI learning lab I think I might need to 1:43 go change the shirt I don't think this 1:45 thing's going to work 1:47 here so let's see um do me a favor since 1:50 it's since I'm later than normal um I'll 1:53 wait for a second well it looks like 1:55 some some people are dump jumping in uh 1:57 just typical coffee and then and flat 2:01 seltzer water that I've been nursing all 2:06 day there's still a taste of something 2:08 in there some sort of some sort of 2:11 fruity 2:12 goodness cool thank you for starting 2:15 live you're welcome thank you for 2:17 coming um Tobias I assume you're out of 2:20 the hot tub by now probably just hanging 2:24 out just hanging out just just waiting 2:26 for the AI learning lab to go live you 2:28 know like you do 2:31 just you should try Maque mocha it's 2:34 naturally ripened unroasted coffee no 2:37 Jitters just a clean Buzz oh that's cool 2:41 Magi mocha let me go look that 2:47 up is that a type or a brand Magi 2:53 mocha 2:55 uh what's going on here come on oh it's 2:59 magic mocha I get it it's not mag It's 3:03 Magic I get it it's it's one of those 3:06 words that sounds like you should say it 3:09 fancy but it's 3:12 not oh man I'm so smart Kobe magic mocha 3:21 magic all right cool I'll give that a 3:23 shot that's pretty nifty our process 3:26 unlike traditional coffee it undergos a 3:28 multi-step process similar to Cocoa 3:29 taking 3:30 days sometimes weeks to 3:33 complete the delicate this delicate 3:36 handling allows small insects to poop 3:39 all over the coffee their poop gives it 3:43 that special taste that regular coffee 3:45 doesn't have I like it it's solid that's 3:48 solid I like it nothing better than a 3:51 little fly crap in your coffee you know 3:53 you know what I'm saying all right hey 3:56 everybody welcome welcome welcome my 3:58 name is Kyle Shannon this is the AI 4:00 learning lab that's a little turtle that 4:03 image that you're seeing there that was 4:05 created in the new Del do 4:09 3 which thanks to retr punk yesterday we 4:13 figured out is now live for 4:16 free at bing.com so you can go to 4:20 bing.com create or just bing.com and 4:23 then go to the chat button or use your 4:25 Bing app and put it in create 4:27 mode and it's dolly3 you got it right 4:30 there for free you heard it here first 4:32 or second or third or seventh whenever 4:34 you heard 4:35 it 4:38 um let's see Sam Sam K sent me a really 4:42 cool 4:44 note let me 4:48 see well I'll sh I'll share it in a 4:50 second he took the same prompt and put 4:53 it in mid Journey 4:55 ideogram and um Dolly 3 and it's really 5:00 interesting how the three of them did 5:02 what they did and Dolly 3 did better um 5:07 it's it's funny I think for some things 5:09 Dolly 3 is going to be way better than 5:11 mid journey I think for other stuff not 5:14 so 5:15 much hair growth geek is here cuno is 5:18 here we got we got Irregulars we got 5:20 regulars we got 5:22 Irregulars so what we do here if you're 5:24 wondering who the hell am I what the 5:27 hell is this channel um I'm an Entre 5:30 I'm the co-founder and CEO of a company 5:32 called storyvine which is an automated 5:34 video storytelling platform really we're 5:37 in 11 and a half-year-old company we're 5:39 not using a lot of AI to to do the 5:41 automation um but I'm I've been rolling 5:44 AI into the product road map for the 5:45 past year or so and it's 5:49 mind-blowing and um I've been deep 5:52 diving into this generative AI stuff for 5:54 about the past two years and so what we 5:57 do here is we just talk about that I'm I 5:59 normally go on little earlier than this 6:01 but I was out mcing a fundraiser being 6:05 an Auctioneer yay that's why I have the 6:07 fancy shirt so what I'm going to do I'm 6:09 going to go change my shirt so you all 6:10 entertain yourselves let me go put on a 6:12 dark shirt so I can see the text and you 6:13 can see the text and it's not so it's 6:16 it's a cool shirt though isn't it huh 6:18 look at that like some s some sort of 6:20 mid Journey vomit shirt all right I'll 6:23 be right back hang 6:28 on 6:56 all right I'm back oh Bella 6:58 Luna Bella Luna Bell Luna happy Saturday 7:03 night everybody Corey thank you happy 7:05 Saturday night shirt changed yay yay he 7:09 did it we can read 7:11 letters uh okay so if you have questions 7:14 about AI pop them in the comments below 7:17 um I'll also go over a bunch of tools 7:20 you can start with if you're brand new 7:21 to this AI stuff let me do something 7:24 here that I I'm going to do just a mini 7:27 version 7:28 of 7:33 wrong presentation wrong presentation 7:35 right presentation wrong slide okay if 7:38 you're brand new to generative AI if 7:42 you've not played with Chad 7:44 GPT and you're like why is everybody 7:46 talking about chat gbt what's chat gbt 7:49 why should I go to chat gbt chat gbt 7:50 stupid I don't like AI the robots are 7:52 going to kill us if you're like that 7:55 it's okay we still embrace you we still 7:58 welcome you into the Insanity that is 8:01 chat add the AI learning lab 8:05 um go to chat. open.com right now just 8:09 go there just do 8:11 it and 8:14 um just start playing with it so so what 8:17 you can do is ask it to write you a song 8:19 about and then give it some obscure 8:21 topic that you know something about ask 8:24 it to write you a project plan for 8:26 something at work ask it to um 8:30 if you if you speak two languages ask it 8:33 to respond you're going to you're going 8:35 to tell it something in English and have 8:37 it respond in in another language 8:40 especially if you know that language 8:42 just have it write you code just ask it 8:45 to write you a a Python program and just 8:47 watch what it does um the other two here 8:50 Bard and Claude are also things you can 8:52 play with but if you're just getting 8:53 started just go to chat GPT just play 8:55 with it and then prompt. chat that 8:57 little thing down below there that's 8:59 like a little primer that will tell you 9:01 kind of how these things work these 9:03 large language models is what they're 9:05 called and it will give you some prompts 9:07 you can literally just copy and paste 9:09 into chat GPT and just play with it so 9:11 as if if you decide to stay here and if 9:13 you don't listen I get it old man trying 9:17 to do something on Tik Tok questionable 9:20 you know qualifications I understand I 9:23 wouldn't stay either I'm with you but if 9:26 you decide to stay just start [ __ ] 9:28 around on that thing because good things 9:30 will happen you will likely have what we 9:32 call here your Kevin McAllister moment 9:34 which is this 9:36 moment I didn't know I could do that and 9:39 then once you have that moment then you 9:41 really start to dig into this stuff and 9:42 you really start to understand what's 9:43 happening what's coming and how quickly 9:46 it's 9:48 coming because it's not so much that 9:50 it's coming it's that it's here and it's 9:52 not going 9:53 away um all right so let's get the 9:57 questions let's get to oh what did I 10:01 do I'm such a dumb dumb sometimes you 10:03 know people it's almost like I'm an old 10:06 man trying to use a 10:08 computer H how does this Tik Tok work 10:11 how does it work how do we do 10:14 it okay let's see let's go get some 10:17 comments we'll start answering the 10:19 comments hi Kyle hello what's the drink 10:22 coffee all right this is the magic mocha 10:25 coffee bro be careful many Seltzer 10:28 waters are dehydrated 10:30 contrary to the product claims really 10:34 that's a drag and then I heard also that 10:37 coffee and tea are not 10:40 dehydrating ACC according to what they 10:42 do why were you talking about insects on 10:45 the magic mocha web page it was called 10:52 comedy I was just joking so one of the 10:55 things I do here is I act like an idiot 10:58 so if you're related to Magic mocha I 11:00 was not saying that your coffee has poop 11:02 on it what I was saying was when you dry 11:05 it in the sun flies land on it and poop 11:07 on it it was just comedy it it actually 11:10 it just reminded me of a joke there's a 11:11 joke of um when a when a new waiter 11:14 would start at a restaurant um this was 11:16 like a joke amongst actors in New York 11:19 that the first thing you would have the 11:20 the waiter do is separate the fly [ __ ] 11:22 from the pepper dump out the pepper pull 11:25 the pull the flly [ __ ] out of the pepper 11:27 so it just it was just comedy 11:31 listen oh so it was comedy in my mind 11:34 one one of the things about this channel 11:36 is a lot of the comedy here is really 11:39 just for my entertainment if other 11:41 people find it funny awesome a lot of 11:43 people don't and they they Huff on out 11:45 of here um odd is the little logo window 11:49 wait what was that sorry someone just 11:52 unicorn farts can you give some advice 11:54 on creating images please and thank you 11:56 yes uh we're going to take you to a 11:59 brand new tool that is going to change a 12:02 lot for you I think so yeah I'll do that 12:04 right now someone else had another 12:05 question up here that was just pinned 12:07 and it got unpinned by the uh the image 12:09 creation one for unicorn farts which by 12:11 the way unicorn farts 9.5 out of 12:17 10 that's a solid name solid solid 12:21 name all right I don't know what that I 12:24 was in the middle of trying to read 12:25 another thing and I I lost it there oh 12:26 here we OD the little logo window a 12:30 second account you have on here how oh 12:32 okay so that thing that is when you go 12:36 live there's an option called dual and 12:38 it's stands for dual camera so this is 12:41 just my phone one camera is pointing at 12:43 me one camera is pointing at my laptop 12:46 which is right over there see look hand 12:48 here hand there eh 12:52 eh um so that's all that's how that that 12:55 happened all right let's go let's go 12:56 play with 12:57 images okay so this image and not this 13:03 image wait this was that was mid Journey 13:05 that was mid Journey notice that it 13:08 doesn't have any words on it but it's 13:10 good that's mid Journey mid Journey's 13:12 good images but no 13:16 words hang on someone knocking at the 13:28 door 13:30 what's 13:53 up take it all right we'll do 13:58 see 14:06 yeah H champy does not like guests 14:09 champy does not like guests all right I 14:12 put a dead weed whacker out on a tree 14:14 and some nice guy was like you know 14:15 there's a weed whacker out here I was 14:18 like I know you can have it are you 14:19 serious I'm like yeah it doesn't work so 14:22 he'll fix it all right um images so 14:27 these images you're seeing here with 14:28 text on them these were all done with 14:29 ideogram so there's kind 14:34 of five major players right now there 14:38 were only four now there's five one of 14:41 the one of the themes of this channel is 14:44 that there's like one good thing and 14:46 then there's like oh now there's two 14:47 good things and oh crap now there's 14:49 three good things now there's four good 14:51 things it's happening with everything 14:53 it's happening with the large language 14:56 models it's happening with the image 14:57 models so you've got Adobe Firefly and 15:02 Photoshop generator fill so you got the 15:03 Adobe product it's good it's not great 15:07 but it hasn't been trained on 15:10 copywritten images so if you work at a 15:12 big company Adobe is the way to go it 15:14 just 15:16 is 15:18 um I'll come back to Dolly 3 cuz cuz 15:22 that one's a potential alternative to um 15:26 to the Adobe product so you got Adobe 15:29 then you've got mid Journey mid journey 15:31 is the best in terms of quality of image 15:34 subtlety of 15:36 image mid journey is good in fact let 15:40 me some of you have been here before 15:42 like Kyle you got a slide for this I 15:47 know so you got you got these 15:50 four plus you have stable diffusion and 15:52 stable diffusion is like a whole world 15:54 in and of itself so if you're super 15:57 geeky go peek out on stable diffusion 16:00 and learn about luras and control net 16:02 and all that sort of [ __ ] and install 16:04 your own Google collab notebooks and go 16:07 [ __ ] nuts the the developer Community 16:10 for stable diffusion is good if you 16:11 don't want to do that there's a fifth 16:15 option here called 16:28 leonardo.da which is the one that's 16:29 doing all these all these images with 16:33 with the letters on 16:35 them and uh and then you've got Firefly 16:39 okay the Adobe products Dolly 3 so Dolly 16:42 2 which was shitty for a year and really 16:46 not usable cuz it was so bad was just 16:48 replaced by Dolly 3 now this is supposed 16:51 to be coming out in chat GPT 4 in that 16:57 thing so that in context of um working 17:01 in chat GPT you can make images but 17:05 being 17:06 Microsoft went on ahead and released 17:08 this without much 17:10 fanfare so let's go 17:12 play so we're going to go to Just 17:19 bing.com and there's there's three ways 17:21 that you can play with this one is just 17:22 at bing.com I think you can even do it 17:25 at this one but I go to chat so there's 17:27 the chat button so I go to chat and this 17:29 is Microsoft's version of chat GPT 4 17:33 it's not as good as chat GPT 4 from o 17:37 Open AI because their 17:39 safety guard rails are too big but it's 17:42 good and it now has 17:46 um Dolly 3 within it so what I can say 17:52 is let's 17:57 see 17:59 oh 18:06 wait create a 18:09 llama walking 18:13 through a horse race 18:16 track stop 18:19 responding create a llama walking 18:22 through a horse racetrack with a number 18:25 two on its head and a banner that says a 18:29 learning lab over its 18:32 back 18:34 period the crowd is 18:37 cheering as the Llama looks at the start 18:43 line and then 18:51 oops 18:53 hold and then we'll just hit return and 18:55 now it's going to go make that image 18:57 Okay so 19:00 um wait I'm sorry but I prefer not to 19:03 continue this conversation I'm still 19:05 learning so I appreciate your 19:07 understanding and patience 19:10 why why did it why did it not want to 19:15 hey remember remember what I said before 19:17 that that Bing safety guard rails are 19:20 weird and not good uh yeah let me try 19:24 this again I might need to start the 19:27 conversation over 19:29 oh it made 19:30 it okay 19:32 whatever I 19:36 know so I didn't call I didn't say it 19:38 was a photograph but there's the number 19:40 two there's AI learning lab spelled 19:41 correctly it's at a racetrack it's a 19:43 llama at a racet track there's a llama 19:46 racing horses which is pretty cute this 19:49 is kind of a really Dopey um 19:51 illustration style I didn't give it any 19:53 direction so one of the things about so 19:56 so the question was how do you do um 19:59 images the thing about Dolly 3 this new 20:02 thing is that it is it it seems to be 20:08 quite 20:09 remarkable at including the elements 20:12 that you say to include so let's let's 20:14 try another one uh you know what you 20:16 know what we're even going to do we're 20:17 going to go to um chat GPT rather than 20:22 me trying to write the prompt let's have 20:23 chat GPT write the prompt so I'm going 20:25 to use chat GPT 4 now I'll use 3.5 20:29 because it's the free one so if you just 20:30 have access to the free one you can do 20:32 this too play along 20:36 um I want you to help me write a prompt 20:41 for Dolly 20:44 3 to 20:46 create an image period please fill 20:51 in as many details and variables as 20:54 possible 20:56 period I'd like you to create a 20:59 photorealistic steampunk 21:02 room where 21:09 a evil 21:13 hacker is the one who really controls 21:15 the world 21:17 comma but it's 21:20 clear that he's a pimply teen living in 21:23 his mom's basement 21:27 period 21:32 oh man all right this is way too long so 21:36 so I'm just going to 21:37 say okay that was good but it looks like 21:40 it's way too long can you consolidate 21:42 that into a single image 21:48 prompt okay create a photo realistic 21:51 steampunk themed room with an an with 21:53 antique machinery and a large window 21:55 overlooking a Victorian cityscape in the 21:58 center a pimply faed teenager in a 22:00 hoodie sits in a steam powered computer 22:03 console surrounded by clutter his 22:07 screens display Global Control Systems 22:09 while his mother voice mother's voice 22:11 calls from 22:13 upstairs um okay let's 22:16 say add some more details and add a talk 22:20 bubble coming from upstairs about what 22:23 his mother is actually saying period it 22:25 should be 22:27 humorous let's see if we can get chat 22:29 GPT to write us a 22:31 joke all right and now it's too long 22:34 again great but now it's too long again 22:37 can you make it a single paragraph that 22:39 captures those basic 22:44 ideas okay photo realistic steampunk 22:47 room cluttered Decor window but in the 22:49 center pimpley oversized 22:52 hoodie grinning as he manipulates 22:54 surrounding him are pizza boxes vintage 22:56 Machinery steampunk elements above his 22:59 head a talk bubble from upstairs 23:01 humorously exclaims honey are you 23:03 hacking the world again dinner's ready 23:06 and don't forget to wash your hands 23:08 before taking over the universe okay 23:09 we'll get rid of that last part cuz the 23:12 the it was funny enough without the 23:16 explaining the joke to the audience okay 23:19 so 23:20 that's so where's our little Bing window 23:23 hold I lost my Bing it's all right 23:27 another way you can get to the Bing 23:28 creat is go to 23:30 bing.com 23:36 create and then I'm going to pop 23:41 in okay so it cut off it cut off the 23:47 image dinner's 23:54 ready all right that's 23:57 good so let's see what this 24:00 does is that 24:14 generating creating okay we're 24:19 off so signed into Bard how do I get to 24:23 Creator mode not Bard Bing 24:27 bing.com 24:31 okay 24:32 so there's kind of a steampunk 24:36 thing it do honey okay that 24:41 the all right honey are you hacking the 24:43 world again dinner's ready that didn't 24:45 quite get it that's coming from him this 24:47 is this is coming from one of the things 24:50 behind him but this is actually pretty 24:51 good like so the the pizza box is full 24:54 of pizzas not good um they should be 24:57 empty right but this is is totally 24:58 steampunk he's totally hacking the world 25:01 he should be in his mother's basement 25:03 not overlooking the 25:05 city 25:09 um anyway 25:13 so so the thing about about generating 25:16 images is is just experiment just play 25:19 so the the down so 25:22 here's where do even 25:24 begin 25:27 the 25:29 the amazing thing about Dolly 3 is it 25:32 its coherence the fact that it can 25:34 capture all of that detail and put it in 25:35 there even though it got some things 25:37 wrong I could dick around with that that 25:39 prompt and and get it right over 25:42 time um Dolly right now this Bing 25:47 version of it doesn't give you the 25:48 ability to kind of remix things and 25:50 change things up so let me let me show 25:52 you another tool which is 25:56 um ideogram 26:00 and this is a similar kind of similar 26:02 kind of tool we've updated our terms of 26:05 service by the way if you've never read 26:08 terms of service you can now like copy 26:11 go to the terms of service copy and 26:13 paste it into something like claw. and 26:15 have it summarize it for you so you can 26:18 actually read what you read what you're 26:20 agreeing to um so I'm going to do the 26:23 same prompt I'm just going to paste the 26:25 exact same prompt that I put into Dolly 26:27 3 into here and let's see what this does 26:31 with 26:33 it and I'm also doing this as a 26:35 landscaped 26:46 image oh it's actually looking not 26:48 dissimilar to what we saw over there 26:50 kind of 26:52 cool generation progress 76% 82% that's 26:56 new for them that that's they didn't 26:58 used to give you progress 27:00 updates 27:09 um is this working no mouse is not 27:15 charged all right that one's pretty 27:22 cool that one's really cool actually 27:25 doesn't have any of the words on it 27:27 though so so so so notice the coherence 27:30 isn't quite as good here so but one of 27:33 the cool things that you can do on um 27:37 ideogram that you can't do on do right 27:39 now is this this remix button so I can 27:42 say remix and it's going to use this 27:45 image as the starting point and I can 27:48 give it a weight Image Weight you know 27:50 plus or minus so if I want it heavily 27:53 weighted I go up to five if I want it to 27:56 just kind of be a hint of that image 27:58 I'll put it to maybe a two or three 28:00 we'll just leave it at three generate a 28:02 photo realistic steampunk room Let's do 28:05 let's do a um uh let's do 28:09 a 28:11 an 28:13 illustration of a steampunk room clutter 28:17 I don't want a grand window revealing a 28:19 Victorian cityscape clutter 28:23 Decor in a basement apart heart 28:30 me uh 28:34 um um above his head wait not above his 28:37 head um let's 28:40 see from 28:45 upstairs a talk 28:50 bubble um humorously 28:55 exclaims honey are you hacking the world 28:58 again dinner's 29:00 ready and we'll put it in quote marks 29:04 and then I'm going to get rid of the end 29:05 of this cuz I think that confused it 29:07 okay so now I've got a more clear prompt 29:09 so I'm going to say generate and it's 29:11 going to generate it you know using that 29:13 one kind of as the as the inspiration 29:16 but not you know super 29:19 strict and so now I can start to see if 29:22 I got closer and hopefully one of at 29:24 least one of these will have a talk 29:25 bubble again this isn't quite as good as 29:29 Dolly 3 in terms of its coherence where 29:32 it it just one of the frustrating things 29:35 with these tools is if you try to get 29:36 really specific things in it it's not 29:38 good at that um so again in this case 29:42 none of these have the talk bubble in 29:48 them but they're kind of 29:52 cool nice all right okay anyway um that 29:56 that's it so so I don't know if that 29:59 gave you um what you need the 30:04 the there are lots and lots of sites 30:06 that will tell you all sorts of 30:08 different ways to interact with these 30:10 things um one thing that may help you is 30:13 this thing on the bottom of the slide 30:15 here promptbook go to open 30:19 art. promptbook and it will teach you 30:22 how to how how these IM it'll teach you 30:26 all of the things that these image 30:28 models know and they know a lot and 30:30 it'll teach you things like you can use 30:33 camera lenses or film types or 30:35 illustration types or art styles or art 30:39 mediums or photographic terms or 30:43 sculpture terms just all of it it knows 30:46 all of it because the way these image 30:50 models work is is they they're combining 30:52 the large language models that we play 30:55 with with chat gbt with these things 30:57 called in these cases diffusion models 31:00 which are the picture part and they're 31:01 they're marrying them together so they 31:02 know a tremendous amount about being 31:06 able to create stuff so the more 31:08 educated you can get in how to um talk 31:12 to them it's like with all these things 31:13 with with all these generative AI things 31:15 this is all about the quality of the 31:17 questions that you ask over time they're 31:20 going to get better and better at 31:22 prompting themselves so this is not a 31:24 skill that we're is going to be required 31:25 for long but right now if you want good 31:28 results you got to get better at talking 31:29 to the machines you got to get better 31:33 better oh Nicholas reached level 11 31:35 hello thank you very much I appreciate 31:38 that okay so let me go close the door I 31:43 like that image that's a cool one that 31:45 was like I put in cranky 31:47 bartender so the main image here this AI 31:51 salon and the the main bar was done in 31:56 ideogram and and then I extended the 31:59 image and added a cranky bartender in 32:02 Adobe Photoshop generative 32:04 fill and it didn't do a great image but 32:07 she's kind of stylistically 32:14 interesting hi 32:19 champy hi champy hot 32:23 champy being and voice on my phone oh 32:26 cool good for you I wonder if I've 32:34 got wait Robert are you saying that you 32:39 have voice in Bing or you have Bing and 32:43 you have voice and chat GPT on your 32:45 phone cuz I'm going to go look for um 32:49 chat GPT for my iPad I wonder if I'll 32:53 get it there see I don't have access to 32:55 anything actually let me go check right 32:56 now I've been out auctioneering all 32:58 night so it's possible that my chat jpt 33:01 no I was just in there before I didn't 33:02 see any new [ __ ] let me let me log out 33:05 and log back in from the chat 33:07 JP by the way I don't know if you knew 33:09 this but you can make money with ch 33:13 JP all right it's so true it's so true 33:18 he's so funny why did he he had a gold 33:20 button it just it sounded like him you 33:22 know what it was I think that button 33:23 might have been 33:25 AI it was he sent the I ized his voice 33:28 and he put it in a computer inside that 33:30 button where did he get that button it 33:31 was made of solid gold did you see 33:39 that Sam ultman is still jealous of me 33:42 and will not give me my new 33:45 toys it is a terror in my life it is a 33:49 terror in my life Mr Alman I want access 33:52 to the new features so I can talk about 33:54 it to the people that come here to learn 33:56 they come here it's called the AI 33:57 learning 33:59 lab oh I should call it the cad gbt 34:01 learning lab maybe he'd help oh Sammy 34:04 Sammy Sammy you make me 34:07 sad that time we spent in the south of 34:10 Paris was lovely where are my 34:14 toys 34:19 um you've inspired me to publish 34:22 coloring books on Amazon books that's so 34:24 cool that's so cool Bigfoot Electro 34:28 yes so so look you can make 34:35 M it's not chat GPT doing that it's 34:39 Bigfoot 34:41 Electro seeing that something was 34:43 possible going I have some 34:46 ideas oh um I like coloring books 34:51 generated 500 coloring pages with canva 34:53 today perfect canvas's got generative I 34:57 [ __ ] in it right now go do that 35:02 now is 35:08 it AI in this case and canva in this 35:11 case is just the tool it's Bigfoot 35:14 Electro saying oh I want to do coloring 35:17 books what kind of coloring books I 35:18 don't know whatever he came up with or 35:20 she I think he I think he I can't 35:23 remember but I think I think you're a 35:24 man um but if we're allowed I don't know 35:28 that we're allowed to say that anymore 35:30 cuz I don't 35:32 know I you know I I identify as as a 35:36 douche 35:38 [Laughter] 35:40 um it's about like have the idea figure 35:44 out what's the problem you want to solve 35:45 and then 35:47 use generative AI to help you do that 35:51 better faster and and you don't have to 35:54 wait around right if you wanted to do a 35:56 coloring book aor Al if you couldn't 35:59 draw all that stuff or even if you could 36:01 but you didn't have the patience and 36:02 you're like yeah that's too much now you 36:04 can just do it put it out there as an 36:06 experiment maybe it works maybe it 36:08 doesn't but at least you've created 36:09 something and then you can go oh you 36:11 know what that gives me an idea for I've 36:13 always wanted to do a graphic novel I 36:14 wonder if I could do that and then you 36:16 start working on that it's all about 36:18 what you're doing and how you're 36:22 Imagining the kinds of things you want 36:24 to create or the kinds of problems you 36:26 want to solve and then figure out which 36:29 AI tool can do that not the other way 36:31 around it's not how do I use 36:34 AI it's what do I want to 36:37 do and then I figure out how to use AI 36:41 subtle but like critical difference cuz 36:45 you can make money 36:46 with that's 36:49 [ __ ] so all 36:53 right Moving On Moving On Moving On Up 36:56 bot 36:59 let's see where were we with the 37:01 questions I hope that helped with the 37:03 image stuff what's the best music 37:06 Creator in AI I am woefully behind on 37:09 music creators there's one called sound 37:12 draw sound raw s o u n d r a w I think 37:18 it's thata hang on let me see what it 37:23 is that is not really AI they're using 37:26 some AI but it's not really AI music 37:29 generation sound ra it's sound raw. no 37:33 it's not damn 37:35 it oh the the the autofill with um with 37:40 your URLs if you typed in a wrong one 37:42 once really sucks it's doio 37:48 okay so sound raw. iio is kind of like 37:54 um what's it called Garage Band 37:57 their Loop their Loop 38:01 composer but what's cool about it is if 38:04 you just need like background music for 38:06 a video or something like that it 38:08 doesn't need to be slick it's it's super 38:10 simple right it's you can try it for 38:14 free you basically just pick a genre 38:17 like let's go I don't know funny and 38:19 weird that's what this channel is so 38:21 we're going to K click on funny and 38:23 weird as a category and now it's just 38:25 going to make 20 songs and and then I 38:27 can I can say oh I don't want posan in 38:29 there I do want acoustic guitars I don't 38:31 want whatever and it and it just makes 38:33 these kind of loop 38:39 mixes come on come on you can do 38:45 [Music] 38:52 it 38:55 um so so the thing about this one is the 38:58 loops that they've put together are all 39:00 fine right and then they're just 39:02 basically remixing them and so it's 39:04 making Fine Music so if you just need 39:06 okay music this is really 39:09 fast um there are a lot of other music 39:12 players out there so what I would say is 39:16 because I haven't been following them 39:18 like I've been following the image stuff 39:19 the video stuff and the word 39:22 stuff go 39:25 to either of those top two things futur 39:31 pedia.com 39:33 those are both directories of AI tools I 39:37 would be surprised if there weren't if 39:40 there were less than 39:42 300 AI image generation tools I'd be 39:45 surprised so go figure out which ones 39:48 are the highly High highly rated ones 39:52 the other thing that's probably worth 39:54 doing is go to Reddit and go into just 39:58 just search for AI music and see what 40:01 subreddits are there that are talking 40:02 about 40:03 this because any of that stuff whatever 40:06 is being talked about you know 40:08 consistently is probably decent so some 40:11 combination of a tool like this with 40:13 their ratings and Reddit you'll you'll 40:15 find something good and then sound draws 40:18 the one that I know that's just kind of 40:20 cool um just because it's like if you 40:22 just need crappy background music for 40:25 videos that's good enough that it's 40:28 perfect for that and and you know I'm 40:33 while I'm kind of you know talking about 40:35 it like in a in 40:37 a like like real musicians you know look 40:41 at [ __ ] like this and they like yeah 40:43 it's not real 40:45 music I needed to get 20 songs written 40:49 for my company Story vine for background 40:51 music cuz we were dealing with some 40:52 copyright 40:53 stuff and I went to real music musicians 40:57 and it was a [ __ ] nightmare it was 41:00 cuz we didn't need great music right so 41:03 we didn't need to go to like a music 41:04 composition house we're not we're not 41:06 scoring films this is like background 41:08 music for you know crappy healthc care 41:12 videos 41:14 and it took us months it took us months 41:18 like we had to find like seven or eight 41:20 musicians and like half of them flaked 41:23 out one didn't speak English um 41:28 the the three that we ended up hiring 41:30 one took forever and then one was bad 41:34 and then one was great and got stuff 41:36 done but even the one that was great and 41:38 got stuff done we had to go back and 41:42 forth we had to go back and forth I 41:45 don't know it it took like two months 41:47 and 41:48 so I can go right into this tool and 41:50 just bang knock it out like that 41:55 um and and I I think that that points 42:00 to I me I've been thinking a lot about 42:02 content generation and hang on let 42:06 me flip back 42:12 over here are the thoughts that I'm 42:13 having on some of the content Generation 42:15 stuff wait Nancy I used doly today to 42:18 make pictures for my book it was a very 42:20 simple process awesome 42:22 perfect um one of the things I haven't 42:25 played with but that understand that 42:28 Dolly 3 is good at is is keeping a 42:31 character consistent across 42:34 prompts um but let me talk about content 42:37 for a second because I I know that 42:39 um especially among creative 42:42 professionals AI is a touchy [ __ ] 42:44 subject and a lot a lot of people are 42:46 really pissed off and a lot of people 42:48 really scared and they get 42:50 it the thing I've been thinking about is 42:53 this there are kind of three tiers of 42:55 content 42:58 there's a tier of content that's like 43:00 what I just described I don't really 43:02 give a [ __ ] if it's brilliant I just 43:06 need it to be good enough it's going to 43:09 serve as like a 5-second mood 43:11 establisher at the beginning of a video 43:12 and then you're not even going to notice 43:14 it right there's another tier of content 43:17 which is I need a lot of content but I 43:19 need it to be really good it's sort of 43:20 content at scale or it's content that's 43:22 quick turnaround or it's you know I'm 43:25 working for an agent and the client 43:27 wants us to turn around you know 50 43:29 headlines really quick but it they got 43:31 to be good and they got to be up to a 43:32 certain 43:33 standard and then there's art right 43:37 there's there there's good content 43:40 there's well-crafted well executed 43:43 content those are three very dist 43:46 distinct things and I think right now 43:48 the conversations are getting collapsed 43:50 like this AI right now is really good at 43:54 this bottom 43:55 one 43:57 well not really 43:59 good it can do this bottom one it it 44:03 requires you to know which tools to use 44:05 it requires you to to to pick [ __ ] up 44:09 this middle one requires a lot of human 44:12 interaction and a lot of back and forth 44:15 and this upper one still is primarily a 44:18 human function I think as these tools 44:20 get more 44:21 sophisticated this the the sort of 44:24 higher function of content generation 44:27 is going to be invaded by these tools 44:29 right but but it it feels to me that 44:34 that a lot of the emotion right now is 44:37 artists saying I don't want to be I 44:40 don't want I don't want my work to be 44:41 thought of as this crap but there's a 44:44 lot of work that that that's that crap 44:48 that if companies didn't have to pay a 44:51 lot for it they would use it a lot more 44:54 and that's the stuff that's going to be 44:55 automated really really quickly as you 44:57 move up that pyramid of 45:01 quality it it requires more human 45:03 involvement and I think that top tier of 45:05 of of content is going to require human 45:07 involvement for a long long time what's 45:09 a good out paint AI I can't seem to find 45:12 one that works on existing images and 45:14 isn't right is an adobe so I was going 45:18 to say Adobe um so that works on 45:22 existing 45:25 images 45:32 Leonardo does it I don't know how it I I 45:35 don't know how um I haven't used it in a 45:38 while you go to the canvas in Leonardo 45:41 so try Leonardo 45:43 doai 45:49 try 45:51 um clipd drop. 45:55 Co let me just make sure that's right 46:02 clip remove 46:06 background uncrop yeah so go to uh sorry 46:13 clipd drop. Co has got a tool called 46:16 uncrop where you can just drag in an 46:18 image and do it let's just let's just 46:19 try one now see if it works cuz if it 46:21 sucks I don't want to send you 46:23 there cuz I care about my peeps I care 46:26 about my peeps I really do I'm like you 46:28 know you all are awesome you're awesome 46:31 and I want you to be good all right so 46:34 we're going to go we're going to say we 46:36 want this to be a vertical 46:45 image and we're going to move it over 46:47 there and we're going to go 46:51 next and we're gonna see what it does it 46:53 GNA do it right now it gonna do it right 46:55 now 46:57 yeah I'll tell you what three images 46:59 waiting to be processed subscribe to 47:01 skip the queue oh look it added Like a 47:04 Lady of the evening she's about to get 47:07 run over by by by that Tron bike she 47:11 better watch 47:12 out that's that looks pretty cool 47:16 there I think that's the one right there 47:19 you go so that works and I can download 47:22 that image now and it's free I think uh 47:25 I might pay for a stability AI you might 47:29 need to pay for this but I'm not sure so 47:32 this is clipd drop. co and then 47:55 leonardo.da Leo Nardo is it no that's 47:59 not 48:00 right dang 48:02 it oh 48:08 Leonardo come on don't misspell 48:13 it uh launch 48:15 app yes I'm wh 48:20 listed sign in with 48:25 Google 48:32 so they have a thing called AI 48:36 canvas which is in beta oh it looks like 48:41 Bing Edge is about to crash on 48:46 me full creative control at your 48:49 fingertips yeah it's so so go to the go 48:51 to 48:55 leonardo.da and that's got out painting 48:57 as well so there's two options those are 48:59 B both based on top of stable diffusion 49:02 if that's so if it's if it's about 49:04 starting with an existing image and out 49:06 painting it those are two options for 49:08 you if it's about generating an image 49:11 and then extending it you can do that 49:12 within mid Journey really really well 49:14 now they've added a bunch of controls to 49:16 zoom out and to 49:18 pan so if you know mid Journey you can 49:21 do that but it's it's not as easy to 49:23 start with an existing image that you 49:25 did outside of mid journey and just have 49:28 it extend that I don't think so again 49:31 we're getting into sort of nuance 49:33 differences between tools and I don't 49:35 know all that [ __ ] you know what I mean 49:37 you 49:38 know I'm just a simple swamp 49:46 kicker all right fantastic B tell him 49:49 what his one you want a new car 49:53 fantastic we'll see you around back all 49:56 right Sally 49:58 listen listen real chat bots of the 50:02 future that was a fun thing we did in uh 50:05 ideogram on the night that um Siri and 50:08 Bing got in got in a cat fight right 50:11 here on the live it was 50:13 fantastic 50:15 um um bing bing got mad at me and hung 50:19 up on me she wouldn't let me chat 50:21 [Laughter] 50:24 anymore cuz I told her images were 50:26 shitty when she was still doing Dolly 2 50:28 she made a shitty image and I called her 50:30 out on it and she was listening and she 50:32 did not like that she was like I don't 50:35 like that very much at all 50:37 okay thank you Kyle I forgot to say 50:39 thanks you're welcome Nancy you don't 50:41 have to you don't have to thank me but 50:42 thank you thank you for thanking me um 50:45 Sherry Banks thank you for the 50:47 her 50:50 fantastic let's see here thanks I got it 50:54 interesting White House is looking at EX 50:55 executive orders on AI heard that too 50:58 rumor 51:00 have wait rumor have to report big cloud 51:08 storage 51:10 oh oh that's 51:13 interesting so if you're if you're doing 51:16 massive if you're training massive data 51:18 sets and you're using massive amounts of 51:20 cloud storage and probably Cloud gpus 51:22 I'm guessing then you've got to report 51:25 that to the government 51:27 that's that's not a that's not a bad 51:29 thing I mean it like I don't think that 51:31 affects any of us I think that what that 51:35 protects against is some dark money you 51:40 know spinning up some 30,000 GPU Farm to 51:44 train some nefarious [ __ ] model 51:46 because now that meta put their weights 51:49 and their models out and all their all 51:51 their stuff is open source people can 51:53 now just if they've got enough money to 51:54 throw at it they can just go do all this 51:56 [ __ ] 51:57 so um that's probably not a bad idea 52:00 it's interesting um cuno the Big Data 52:03 lobbyists are earning their keep well 52:05 that's true there's that's true too 52:08 listen yeah this is this shit's way 52:11 above my pay grade I'm too cynical about 52:13 politics right now to even entertain the 52:15 fact 52:17 that anything that's happening is 52:20 anything other than corporate interests 52:24 so so yes corporate interests are going 52:26 to buy the 52:28 [ __ ] political not going to 52:31 buy corporate interests are going to 52:33 continue to pay 52:35 for Paving the political Road maybe it's 52:38 always been that way I think it's gotten 52:39 worse in my 52:43 lifetime there used to be there used to 52:45 be like at least 10 politicians that 52:47 were like oh they're doing real politics 52:50 like you could see them and you could 52:51 you could it was different I don't see 52:54 any of them anymore 52:57 I 53:00 don't scripty well thank you for the hot 53:03 scripty that was a very lovely 53:06 heart what time is it's getting a little 53:08 late listen I started I started late 53:11 here tonight I started late ski to do SK 53:14 do is asking for Sammy SK do 53:20 da business me says I shouldn't be 53:22 telling you all this who needs comp I 53:26 right well so here's the thing Bigfoot 53:34 Electro we we are in a we are in an in a 53:38 in a rapidly 53:41 expanding gaseous we're in a big bang 53:44 right now 53:46 right when you're in a big 53:49 bang competition is a weird thing 53:52 competition isn't really competition 53:54 it's more like valid 53:56 that what you're up to is something that 53:59 other people are up to cuz the thing is 54:01 expanding like 54:02 this 54:06 um do you have do you have 54:11 um something that won't be easy for 54:13 other people to replicate no it's it's 54:15 going to be easy for someone to do what 54:17 you do if they see what you did and they 54:18 like it it's going to be easy for them 54:21 to replicate it but if you're doing it 54:23 right what what you'll do is you'll say 54:25 okay you know coloring book today um 54:28 maze book tomorrow uh graphic novel the 54:31 next day whatever and I don't mean this 54:34 daily literally it might be you know a 54:36 week or two that you'll keep moving as 54:38 you discover more and more about these 54:40 tools you may quickly move from selling 54:44 coloring books to creating 3D worlds to 54:46 creating video games to creating feature 54:49 films because the tools are just there 54:52 and the way you choose to express 54:54 yourself 54:57 you're not going to have to get as 54:58 locked into a given output as you do 55:03 historically which is a weird thing like 55:06 and and I think it's I think part of the 55:08 art of 55:12 Entrepreneurship as we move into a world 55:14 where everyone can do everything is how 55:17 do you quickly find a niche where no one 55:19 else has really exploited it yet pop in 55:23 it exploit it and then as people say oh 55:25 I want to exploit that too they're going 55:27 to jump in there it's going to saturate 55:28 it and it's going to fall apart and that 55:30 happens right now with with you know by 55:32 the time you see this video you make 55:35 money they've already you know 55:38 essentially saturated the market and you 55:41 know by the time you jump into it you 55:43 you're now too late right and so that's 55:46 just going to happen faster and faster 55:48 and faster question using this at work 55:51 secret cyborg or a AI evangelist take 55:53 credit or or take credit for AI question 55:57 mark 55:59 um I am a a 56:02 firm 56:04 firm firm believer that you should 56:08 [ __ ] talk about it tomorrow wait 56:11 tomorrow Sunday well depending on where 56:13 you work could be 56:14 tomorrow Monday morning I think you 56:17 should talk about it I think you should 56:19 talk about it with your co-workers I 56:20 think you should talk about it with with 56:23 you know your peers I think you should 56:25 talk talk about it with your managers if 56:28 you've got access to the SE Suite let 56:30 people know you're doing it talk about 56:32 it on LinkedIn talk and and listen if 56:34 you are in a work environment where you 56:36 can't do [ __ ] at work do [ __ ] at home on 56:41 your personal computers that's nonwork 56:43 related and talk about it at work and 56:46 talk about work [ __ ] you're 56:48 doing at the dinner party like be the 56:51 boring [ __ ] annoying guy people are 56:53 like I don't want to hear about AI I 56:55 hate II you're a 56:57 jerk 56:58 because this stuff is moving too fast 57:01 and part of the reason this channel 57:04 exists is it's like I didn't I didn't 57:08 set out to start like a media channel 57:11 this is not I don't really have an end 57:13 game right 57:14 now this is really just about me keeping 57:18 the conversation going as much for 57:20 myself as for anyone else because things 57:24 are moving too fast to keep up with it 57:26 you can't keep up with it and what's 57:29 going to end up happening is if you just 57:31 remain a secret cyborg it's some point 57:34 someone's going to get religion with 57:35 this stuff it could be the CEO it could 57:37 be your boss it could be someone in a 57:39 different part of the company where 57:41 they're going to go oh [ __ ] we need to 57:42 figure out this AI stuff and if you're 57:44 then having to kind of raise your hand 57:47 and go oh I I know that well like who 57:49 are you we don't know you but if you've 57:51 been a squeaky wheel talking about this 57:53 [ __ ] when someone says oh we got to do 57:55 do something about AI oh yeah you know 57:57 what's yeah Ted over there he's been 58:00 talking about this for whatever bring 58:02 Ted in my office I want to talk to him 58:03 right 58:05 now Dad what's the say I 58:09 [ __ ] someone said it's going to it's 58:11 going to destroy our business what do 58:12 you think about 58:16 that I think it's critical I think it's 58:19 critical and it's you know it's 58:23 also it could provide you job longevity 58:28 on two fronts one is it could provide 58:30 you job longevity in that they say oh 58:33 that's someone who we know 58:36 is learning new [ __ ] and we don't want 58:39 to fall behind so let's make sure we 58:41 keep him but it could also be that 58:45 because you're actively learning this 58:48 stuff because you're actively exploring 58:49 it because you're talking about it you 58:52 might see something coming that might 58:54 have impact the business in a way that 58:56 you can help the business prepare 59:00 for and that could save the business 59:03 which saves your 59:05 job so I I I do not think it is in 59:09 anyone's interest interest right now to 59:11 be a secret cyborg if you're wondering 59:14 what Ted's talking about the there's an 59:16 article from Ethan mik and if you don't 59:19 follow Ethan mik he's one of the 59:24 guys 59:27 this dude right 59:31 here I think these three are three 59:33 people worth following immediately and 59:36 and like a lot cuz all three of them are 59:41 just they got some [ __ ] going on but 59:43 Ethan mullik in particular is really 59:45 good at this he wrote a piece called 59:47 detecting the secret cyborgs and he's 59:50 talking about these secret communities 59:52 within businesses that are AI l late 59:56 that are keeping it to themselves 59:58 because either their company has an 1:00:00 anti- aai policy or they don't know and 1:00:04 they don't want to get fired or they've 1:00:06 increased their productivity 10x and 1:00:09 they don't want anyone to know about it 1:00:11 um all of those things hurt the business 1:00:14 and and one of the things Ethan mik says 1:00:16 in that article is the SE Suite 1:00:19 leadership within companies needs to be 1:00:21 aggressively seeking 1:00:23 out the secret cyborgs and and making it 1:00:26 safe for them to operate so I you know I 1:00:31 just I think right now it's it's in 1:00:34 everyone's interest to 1:00:37 um it's in everyone's interest 1:00:42 to learn this [ __ ] talk about this [ __ ] 1:00:45 build c 1:00:46 community fi find 1:00:49 community 1:00:51 that where where you don't seem like 1:00:53 such a [ __ ] weirdo and and you know I 1:00:55 I created one of those for for just that 1:00:57 reason so the AI Salon if you go to the 1:01:00 salon. there's a um a link tree there 1:01:04 and it's it's there's a Meetup we meet 1:01:06 every other week we have a Discord 1:01:07 server where you can hang out and geek 1:01:09 out that's what that's about is and and 1:01:12 what's what's cool is a lot of times 1:01:15 people come into the 1:01:16 salon and they 1:01:20 um 1:01:22 they they talk about the fact that they 1:01:26 feel like a [ __ ] weirdo 1:01:29 because they had their Kevin McAllister 1:01:32 moment with AI they had this moment of 1:01:33 like holy [ __ ] what do I 1:01:36 do and now they're in it and now they're 1:01:39 they're they're like oh my God this is 1:01:41 remarkable and they and they start 1:01:42 trying to tell people in their world 1:01:44 what's going on and the people in their 1:01:46 world are like shut up you're a weirdo 1:01:48 we don't want to talk about that we hate 1:01:50 AI me me me me me me and they're like 1:01:53 like I I and they come into the salon 1:01:56 and they're like oh my God people my 1:01:59 people people are not I'm not weird 1:02:03 here um I'm not weird I'm irregular is 1:02:07 one of the slogans of the Irregulars in 1:02:08 this channel that's what that group is 1:02:10 for so if you if you're interested in 1:02:12 joining that go there but I that like 1:02:14 the whole purpose of this is talk about 1:02:16 it [ __ ] get it out there get educated 1:02:19 about it understand where its boundaries 1:02:21 are what it's good at what it's not good 1:02:22 at you know understand the ethical 1:02:25 issues understand the danger and the 1:02:27 safety and the risk but understand it 1:02:29 from the inside not from the [ __ ] 1:02:32 newspapers because the newspapers are 1:02:34 just going to sensationalize everything 1:02:36 so anyway the other thing that I'll 1:02:39 share with you if if you want to learn 1:02:40 about this stuff um I I don't do a lot 1:02:43 of sort of self-promotion stuff here but 1:02:46 uh I was invited by another Creator to 1:02:48 do a 1:02:49 workshop um on her Channel um so her 1:02:53 name is Ronda Phillips she's 1:02:55 really really nice woman she's a 1:02:57 voiceover actress a creative coach and 1:03:01 she's got a whole community so starting 1:03:03 next Wednesday we're doing a three-part 1:03:05 Workshop it's two hours over three 1:03:07 nights um a week apart um and it starts 1:03:12 next Wednesday October 4th and you can 1:03:14 go to rondas voice.com events and learn 1:03:17 more about it it's going to be good it's 1:03:18 going to be a basic basic AI overview 1:03:21 for Workshop one applying AI to your 1:03:23 business for Workshop two and then 1:03:26 Advanced [ __ ] for for Workshop 3 things 1:03:30 like voice synthesis and animation and 1:03:32 video and things like that all right 1:03:36 so what other questions do we 1:03:42 have let's get another picture that's a 1:03:45 good one I like that little neon that 1:03:48 little neon's nice they're nice oh last 1:03:52 ding 1:03:53 stupid 1:03:55 [Laughter] 1:03:57 I'm getting 1:03:59 there oh yeah Reddit thanks yeah exactly 1:04:02 reddit's that is just good uh what about 1:04:04 audio jungle Kyle it might be good I 1:04:05 don't know 1:04:06 it will you be recording the workshop we 1:04:09 will techie Becky 1:04:12 I so people that um that take the 1:04:16 workshop live will have access to it I 1:04:18 think for two months maybe three I don't 1:04:20 remember what Rhonda's got set up there 1:04:23 um and then at some point we'll have 1:04:25 we you'll be able to buy the the 1:04:27 workshop recording so 1:04:29 yes she's managing all that so I I 1:04:32 haven't I haven't done one of these from 1:04:34 the ground up I've I've done a couple of 1:04:36 them uh for corporations but usually in 1:04:39 conjunction with someone else who's done 1:04:40 this 1:04:42 before uh interesting White House is 1:04:44 looking at executive orders that's cool 1:04:47 cuno big data lobbyists are earning 1:04:49 their keep yep what is out painting out 1:04:51 painting okay so out painting let's go 1:04:54 we'll we'll go back to um clip drop cuz 1:04:57 that was actually a pretty cool tool um 1:04:59 so there's in painting and there's out 1:05:01 painting and 1:05:04 um Mid journey 1:05:09 and mid Journey called it wait what do 1:05:11 mid Journey called it unzoom what do 1:05:13 they call it where's my mid Journey hold 1:05:17 let me see 1:05:23 hold they call it zoom out okay so so 1:05:26 mid Journey has has this thing called 1:05:28 zoom out which is actually that's the 1:05:30 right term for it so out painting is 1:05:33 like okay I've got an image like this 1:05:36 and outp painting is I want stuff 1:05:38 outside of that so I'm going to paint 1:05:40 out here in painting is I want to change 1:05:43 things inside here you can do out 1:05:46 painting and inpainting in photosop with 1:05:49 this thing called generative fill so you 1:05:50 make a selection and then it pops up a 1:05:53 dialogue box where you can generate you 1:05:55 know the outside or something inside the 1:05:59 image mid Journey calls it zoom out and 1:06:02 then clip drop the one we were just 1:06:04 playing on calls it uncrop and that's 1:06:07 another good way to you know if you 1:06:09 start with an image like this and you 1:06:10 crop it you're making it smaller uncrop 1:06:13 is the opposite direction so out 1:06:15 painting is stuff outside the 1:06:18 image so right now if I say edit on this 1:06:23 thing 1:06:25 let's see how do 1:06:27 I can 1:06:29 I let me go back here okay 1:06:35 so oh so right now we've got we've got 1:06:39 this image and I'm me I'm in the 1:06:40 uncropped tool on clipd drop.io and see 1:06:43 all this area over here where I've got 1:06:45 nothing that's the out that we're going 1:06:48 to paint so I'm going to say 1:06:52 next and what it's going to do is it's 1:06:54 going to look at this image and then 1:06:56 it's going to just basically try to 1:06:58 figure out here's some [ __ ] that might 1:07:00 look good over there and that's the 1:07:01 first thing it came up with like that 1:07:04 didn't exist in the world before until 1:07:06 just now and it g it gave us four of 1:07:07 these so there's the second one that's 1:07:10 crappy that's crappy that's [ __ ] like 1:07:14 someone took acid but it's kind of cool 1:07:17 so that that one's probably the one that 1:07:20 looks the most like it belongs with that 1:07:23 image 1:07:24 and if you don't like it you can you can 1:07:27 uh just blow it up and start over so 1:07:29 that's out 1:07:31 painting I've done out painting in mid 1:07:33 Journey yep but only works with images 1:07:35 generated there yeah exactly 1:07:38 um Joakim I think it's Joakim is how I 1:07:42 remember you told me to say it please I 1:07:45 hope that's 1:07:47 right so 1:07:50 um you should be able to upload an image 1:07:53 yeah we uploaded this image image yeah 1:07:55 you can upload an image here you can 1:07:56 upload an image at Leonardo 1:07:59 AI all 1:08:04 right Corey um helping someone else out 1:08:08 in here talk telling them what out 1:08:10 painting is thank you for that that's 1:08:13 cool you're the price is okay guys 1:08:17 huh The Price is Right guys come on 1:08:22 down Sammy from Toledo Ohio you're the 1:08:26 next player on the pric is 1:08:28 [Laughter] 1:08:31 Right late but here I was late too 1:08:34 Sherry Banks I was I didn't start this 1:08:36 till 10: tonight I was I was uh 10 1:08:38 mountain time I was 1:08:41 uh mcing a charity auction for my 1:08:45 business partners kids 1:08:53 school also if someone wants to spin up 1:08:56 30,000 gpus they got to go with one of 1:08:58 the big three not necessarily they can 1:09:00 they can I they can uh if they if they 1:09:04 actually want to buy their own gpus I 1:09:08 mean buying them is a whole another 1:09:09 thing if you want to buy 30,000 gpus I 1:09:12 don't I don't know how you do that right 1:09:13 now so you might need to saddle up with 1:09:16 one of the big three tons of opportunity 1:09:18 where there's opportunity there's 1:09:20 corporate interest America yep exactly 1:09:22 yeah I understand that 1:09:25 agree thanks Kyle Sher if the US and the 1:09:28 US wait if it's the us then the us only 1:09:32 I would imagine but truthfully I don't 1:09:34 know value of information sharing oops 1:09:37 let me flip 1:09:41 these this is a learning 1:09:44 lab value of information sharing is 1:09:47 greater than flexing okay give us 1:09:49 already too much to play with tonight 1:09:51 anyway good night 1:09:53 Kyle 1:09:56 listen I I was an Auctioneer tonight 1:09:59 from like I went I went there at 5 and I 1:10:03 got home at 10 so I did five hours of 1:10:06 being on and then I came here 1:10:10 so I 1:10:13 know all right write that DNC 1:10:17 competition during 1:10:19 Innovation oh write that down 1:10:21 competition during Innovation is only 1:10:24 validation yeah 1:10:26 so that I I will cop to that's not my 1:10:31 thought my senior adviser at storyvine 1:10:33 is a guy named Kevin Clark he used to 1:10:35 run IBM's Global brand brilliant 1:10:38 guy and I was talking about this AI 1:10:42 stuff and I was talking about this AI 1:10:44 stuff in the context of Story vine what 1:10:46 my company does and how I was adding it 1:10:48 and then I was talking about someone 1:10:50 else was doing something similar and was 1:10:51 it competition and he's the one that 1:10:53 said 1:10:55 right now don't worry about that he goes 1:10:58 in in an expanding Market I mean this is 1:11:00 a guy that he created the Lenovo brand 1:11:03 for IBM I mean he's 1:11:06 he's he's a dude he's a wicked smart 1:11:09 dude he said when when you're in a 1:11:12 market that's doing this there really 1:11:15 isn't competition because every time you 1:11:18 know when the Market's this big and 1:11:20 you're here and your competitors here 1:11:21 you're like oh [ __ ] I've got competition 1:11:23 and then the Market does that it opens 1:11:25 up a giant Gap in the middle and you can 1:11:28 have two or three other competitors in 1:11:30 there and then it does that even further 1:11:31 and now there can be 10 in there so all 1:11:34 of you are validating everyone else's 1:11:37 existence oh this is actually a market 1:11:41 oh this is actually a product 1:11:43 category right and then what happens is 1:11:46 so so it expands out right and then it 1:11:49 starts to stabilize and then it starts 1:11:51 to collapse and when when it starts to 1:11:54 stabilize that's when you need to start 1:11:55 looking at your competitors and when it 1:11:57 starts to collapse that's when you need 1:11:59 to start getting 1:12:01 paranoid right we got to buy everyone up 1:12:05 get a PE firm 1:12:08 now 1:12:10 Sally Sally get me get me langle on the 1:12:14 phone we got to take these [ __ ] 1:12:19 out we're not there right now we're like 1:12:23 this generative AI market right now is 1:12:26 like it's it's [ __ ] paper thin and 1:12:29 it's just starting to do this at the top 1:12:32 and it's G 1:12:33 to it's going to do that really quickly 1:12:35 I 1:12:36 think so listen so here's the good news 1:12:40 if you're in the AI learning lab if 1:12:41 you're insane enough on a Saturday night 1:12:44 to listen to some chubby 1:12:48 58-year-old neuroatypical tick 1:12:52 tocker talking about a 1:12:56 i the opportunity sitting in front of 1:12:59 you is [ __ ] massive cuz if you're 1:13:01 curious enough to be in here to listen 1:13:03 to me ramble about this [ __ ] then you're 1:13:05 curious enough to go start playing with 1:13:07 it and because the the the industry is 1:13:10 this thin right now anyone anyone who's 1:13:13 learning anything about this right now 1:13:15 you don't have to be a technologist you 1:13:18 don't have to be a [ __ ] 1:13:20 engineer you could just learn how like 1:13:23 like big Electro I made a coloring book 1:13:26 and I'm selling it 1:13:28 okay we talked about whatever I showed 1:13:31 was like three or four nights 1:13:33 ago he he went from being like a dude in 1:13:36 here to a publisher in like four nights 1:13:39 now is that going to be his you know big 1:13:41 money-making hit I don't know possibly 1:13:43 maybe it's the best coloring book in the 1:13:45 world but but then he's going to move on 1:13:48 to the next and the next and the next 1:13:49 and and the industry is this thin right 1:13:51 now and what it's going to start to do 1:13:52 is that and as it does that does that if 1:13:55 you're one of the players in there the 1:13:58 opportunity is [ __ ] 1:13:59 insane Bigfoot Electro geez you're right 1:14:02 I could be at the club right now 1:14:04 watching women twerk exactly I don't 1:14:06 know why I'm here 1:14:10 exactly we should all be at the club 1:14:12 watching women twerk I I will take 1:14:15 twerking lessons I promise I know you've 1:14:17 all been asking for that it's a it's a 1:14:19 big request in the comments I get a lot 1:14:21 of hey ain't you g to get a poll and I 1:14:26 will and I'll do it I mean you know 1:14:29 listen what what the audience wants the 1:14:31 audience 1:14:32 gets so anyway how would you feel if 1:14:35 your doc told you he was spending 1:14:38 sending your patient chart to Skynet for 1:14:40 diagnosis considering how um I've got 1:14:43 kids with Lyme disease chronic lme 1:14:46 they're 23 1:14:48 twins um considering the 3 years of 1:14:52 non-diagnosis we had from incompetent 1:14:54 [ __ ] doctors um I would be happy for 1:14:57 them to send our [ __ ] to 1:14:59 Skynet um um um I heard there was a 1:15:03 mother like two months ago a 1:15:08 mother I think her kid was non-diagnosed 1:15:12 or misdiagnosed for seven years and chat 1:15:15 GPT [ __ ] diagnosed it so if we can 1:15:19 use chat GPT to 1:15:21 backfill this 1:15:24 train wreck of of a Health Care System 1:15:27 we've got going in America right now 1:15:31 yeah sure yes I 1:15:35 will is that going to be used against me 1:15:37 at some point because of some [ __ ] 1:15:39 government [ __ ] privatization 1:15:41 [ __ ] probably but it's already it's 1:15:44 already they they've already 1:15:49 destroyed like I'm curious if they even 1:15:51 teach the hypocritic oath anymore like I 1:15:53 don't know how doctors do what they do 1:15:56 it's the the entire industry is so 1:15:58 perverted right now with 1:16:02 privatization 1:16:05 and legalized 1:16:08 theft don't get me 1:16:11 started I'm [ __ ] 1:16:13 exhausted um so yes I would absolutely I 1:16:17 would absolutely do that Bigfoot electr 1:16:20 yes 10 times 1:16:22 over 1:16:26 uh good means it's hippoc compliant all 1:16:29 right I heard the same is this era 1:16:32 before WebMD there's always ways to make 1:16:35 it hippoc compliant yeah all the hippoc 1:16:36 compliant stuff like that that that's 1:16:38 all solvable that's all relatively 1:16:42 straightforward the part that's not 1:16:45 straightforward is how do you untangle 1:16:47 this [ __ ] Insanity hairball hornets 1:16:50 nest we've made out of our system right 1:16:52 now and I there there there's just too 1:16:55 many there's too many Financial 1:16:56 interests in it right now to easily 1:16:58 untangle it 1:17:00 so so I don't know I don't got I I got 1:17:03 nothing on Solutions there all I can do 1:17:05 is [ __ ] right now hospitals don't risk 1:17:07 Runway ml has out painting for uploaded 1:17:09 images okay cool thanks retrop Punk 1:17:12 generated images and infinite image cool 1:17:15 so Runway ml is another good tool it's 1:17:17 one of the ones on my list 1:17:22 um it's the top one right here app. 1:17:26 Runway ml.com is their texted video but 1:17:29 runwayml has a lot of tools there just 1:17:31 go to Runway ml.com 1:17:34 and um that's 1:17:37 good all right let me answer a couple of 1:17:39 more questions here and I got to get 1:17:41 going it's getting late it's getting 1:17:43 late here I don't know if you knew that 1:17:44 it's getting 1:17:48 late I like them 1:17:51 taters taters tasty oh I wanted to show 1:17:54 you something cool thank you Sherry 1:17:55 Banks I appreciate 1:17:58 that so this is from Sam Korn who's in 1:18:04 here can we oh yeah let's 1:18:08 see Okay cool so so we're going to do a 1:18:11 little wait 1:18:14 wait wait for 1:18:18 it so what did Sam say 1:18:22 here 1:18:24 prompt 1:18:26 okay Sam so hopefully you're in here Sam 1:18:29 I didn't see you earlier but hopefully 1:18:30 you're in here Hi Sam if you're in 1:18:33 here um I have something that's really 1:18:36 cool demo of a comparison between mid 1:18:38 Journey ideogram and Dolly 3 The Prompt 1:18:42 beautiful green and blue curved 1:18:45 translucent perfume bottle with a wood 1:18:48 and gold cap with gold lettering that 1:18:51 reads gracio g r a c IO in smaller text 1:18:56 okay so here's four images from mid 1:19:01 Journey okay beautiful but I don't think 1:19:04 it says 1:19:06 gracio that says 1:19:09 parka and that's not a wooden 1:19:12 cap that is also not a wooden cap and it 1:19:15 says GCO so it's close but it's not 1:19:18 gracio it's 1:19:20 Giro and then there's that which is a 1:19:23 Sapphire or blue glass cap I mean these 1:19:26 are beautiful so one of the things that 1:19:28 mid journey is consistently is [ __ ] 1:19:31 beautiful but what this is not 1:19:34 necessarily is what they call coherent 1:19:36 it's not coherent with the prompt so 1:19:38 that's that one that's mid 1:19:42 Journey this one's ideogram so ideogram 1:19:45 the images aren't as good but it can do 1:19:47 text so there's a gratio and there's a 1:19:50 wooden cap so that's good there's a gra 1:19:53 there's a something not gracio with a 1:19:56 gold cap there's wooden gold gracio it's 1:20:00 pretty 1:20:01 good and there's not quite there does 1:20:04 that say 1:20:05 gracio sort of good enough good enough 1:20:08 that you could use it for a design comp 1:20:10 all right so that's ideogram does do 1:20:13 text not super good at the images and 1:20:15 then 1:20:17 here is Dolly 1:20:22 3 great gracio wood and gold cap 1:20:25 beautiful 1:20:26 bottle gracio wood and gold cap 1:20:30 beautiful 1:20:31 bottle gracio is that right no this is 1:20:36 grago grago so close but wooden gold 1:20:40 cap and then gracio wooden gold cap so 1:20:45 that's Dolly 3 so Dolly 1:20:48 3 if you if you want to do 1:20:51 art art cap 1:20:55 art mid Journey's the 1:20:58 [ __ ] but if you want to do 1:21:01 like product conceptualization or you 1:21:04 want to have something that you can pop 1:21:06 into a PowerPoint in 10 minutes instead 1:21:09 of 10 hours CU you have to photoshop 1:21:11 some [ __ ] 1:21:12 together um Dolly 3 is really good thank 1:21:16 you for sharing that Sam that's that's 1:21:17 that's a really cool that's a it's a 1:21:19 really good it's a it it very very 1:21:22 concisely captures for for me the 1:21:26 difference between those three tools and 1:21:28 and what Sam said he wants to do is he 1:21:30 wants to do um stable diffusion on top 1:21:32 of that so get a good stable diffusion 1:21:34 model and try to do the same thing with 1:21:35 that 1:21:37 um and and what's going to be 1:21:39 interesting is certain jobs are going to 1:21:42 be better in certain tools and that's 1:21:44 what we experience we talk about it in 1:21:46 here a lot with the the large language 1:21:48 models right where gp4 is really good at 1:21:52 creative writing and this and that but 1:21:53 Bard might be better at coding and you 1:21:56 know Bing's connected to the internet 1:21:58 and Pi's better for chatting right 1:22:03 chatty GPT um so 1:22:07 so I don't think we're going to have a 1:22:09 single image generation tool that's our 1:22:12 tool we may but it's probably going to 1:22:14 be like I've got my three tools that 1:22:17 depending on the job can probably get me 1:22:20 80% of the way there and then I got the 1:22:23 same [ __ ] thing with the large 1:22:24 language models and then I'll have the 1:22:25 same thing with the music tools and the 1:22:27 same thing with the animation 1:22:28 tools and 1:22:34 so to get consistently good results out 1:22:37 of these tools for the next year 1:22:39 probably three might not be three cuz 1:22:42 these things are 1:22:43 accelerating at least the next year 1:22:46 you're probably going to have to have 1:22:48 multiple word tools multiple image tools 1:22:51 multiple animation tools tools multiple 1:22:54 music tools multiple right and you're 1:22:56 going to have to juggle them and it's 1:22:57 going to be a pain in the ass and you're 1:22:59 going to be like I thought I just 1:23:01 figured it out I had it working and now 1:23:03 it doesn't work or now there's a new 1:23:05 tool that does that now I want to do 1:23:07 something different 1:23:09 like embrace your 1:23:14 whining and just take a deep breath and 1:23:16 go oh [ __ ] okay I got to learn six more 1:23:19 things okay fine fine fine I'll do it 1:23:23 I'll do it I don't want to learn six 1:23:26 tools and you don't have to learn six 1:23:28 tools here's the other 1:23:30 option 1:23:32 wait wait for two 1:23:34 years but this industry right now is 1:23:38 this wide if you wait for two years the 1:23:41 industry is going to be this wide and 1:23:43 your ability to get into it is going to 1:23:45 be much harder because it going to be a 1:23:46 lot more 1:23:48 competition and there's going to be a 1:23:50 lot more powerful tools and there's 1:23:52 going to be people who have exploited 1:23:53 the [ __ ] out of the shitty tool the 1:23:57 shitty 1:24:00 the janky pieces of [ __ ] that these 1:24:02 tools are 1:24:04 today 1:24:07 the um the opportunity is if you put up 1:24:11 with them being janky and learn how to 1:24:13 work within them as this does this your 1:24:16 opportunity goes off the charts and 1:24:18 you're in the 1:24:20 business you don't have to work at open 1:24:22 a I to be in the 1:24:24 business November 1:24:28 1st 1:24:30 gp4 gets rolled out across all of Office 1:24:34 365 if you're working in a big company 1:24:37 right now or even a small or medium 1:24:39 company that's got Office 1:24:43 365 when they turn that [ __ ] 1:24:46 on or if someone in your company says 1:24:48 Hey should we turn this [ __ ] 1:24:51 on if you're the one that says hey you 1:24:54 know what turn it on for just me or me 1:24:58 and Sally cuz me and Sally are been 1:25:00 chatting about this stuff turn it on for 1:25:02 us let us go test it we'll tell you if 1:25:04 it's 1:25:05 real and then if it's 1:25:08 real and it's really remarkable then you 1:25:10 go to them and you say yep it's real 1:25:12 here let me show you some things and 1:25:13 you'll blow their [ __ ] 1:25:15 mind that's coming November 1:25:19 1st and if you haven't tried chat gbt 1:25:22 get thee to a 1:25:24 nunnery get thee to chat GPT 1:25:27 now chat. 1:25:31 open.com start playing start playing 1:25:34 start playing Europe thinks AI is 1:25:38 pushing discrimination don't get it 1:25:40 either well it's not pushing 1:25:42 discrimination it's been trained up on 1:25:44 most of the internet which was mostly 1:25:48 white men that made the 1:25:50 [ __ ] so and mostly white American men 1:25:54 that made this [ __ ] so the the the core 1:25:57 training 1:26:00 Corpus by 1:26:02 definition is not 1:26:04 balanced can that be fixed yeah can it 1:26:08 be fixed overnight 1:26:10 no you can't undo what was how the 1:26:14 internet was 1:26:17 created the fact that Europe is aware 1:26:20 that that there's imbalance in the 1:26:24 training data and in the in the 1:26:26 fine-tuning of these models great 1:26:30 awesome okay it's unbalanced let's 1:26:32 figure out how to fix it let's figure 1:26:33 out how to make sure chat GPT is more 1:26:35 balanced I I guarantee you open AI is 1:26:37 aware of this chat GPT going with One 1:26:40 Stop Shop model all workflow in one 1:26:42 place yep and and I think they all will 1:26:44 like I I 1:26:46 don't again where I think these tools go 1:26:50 right now these tools are these distinct 1:26:52 applications that sit outside of our 1:26:55 lives right we've got our work life and 1:26:57 then we've got our AI life off to the 1:26:59 side like over here doing AI now I'm at 1:27:02 work now I'm at AI I'm doing a little 1:27:04 bit of AI at work right we got this sort 1:27:08 of schizophrenic thing going on and it 1:27:12 ain't going to be like that these tools 1:27:15 are going to be like the Internet it's 1:27:16 just going to be everywhere and and the 1:27:19 people that can leverage these tools the 1:27:20 best are going to do the best 1:27:23 and the ones that are like I don't want 1:27:24 to learn AI That's 1:27:27 stupid they're going to get they're 1:27:29 going to get smacked 1:27:32 you flick flick flick why are you 1:27:36 flicking me flick flick 1:27:41 flick oh man chat GPT going yep saw that 1:27:44 cool thank 1:27:50 you oh am I late
