Description
So much to see. So little time.
In this AI Learning Lab session, Kyle explores several AI tools and platforms, focusing on image generation and 3D world creation. He begins by examining Meta's new smart glasses and their less-than-successful demo, highlighting the challenges of live demonstrations with cutting-edge technology. Kyle then delves into the world of AI music, discussing the surprising case of AI artist Zia Monae's multi-million dollar record deal. He touches upon other trending AI topics, including Anthropic's recent performance issues and Elon Musk's hype around Grok 5 potentially achieving AGI.
Kyle experiments with Gemini's Nano Banana for image generation, comparing its speed and coherence with other models like ChatGPT's image generator. He showcases the newly added style search feature in Midjourney, demonstrating its potential for creative inspiration and efficient style exploration. Finally, Kyle explores Worldlabs.ai, a platform for creating explorable 3D worlds from images. He generates several 3D environments, showcasing the platform's capabilities while also acknowledging its current limitations, such as the lack of collision detection. He predicts that artists will soon leverage these unique digital spaces for creative projects.

0:01 All right, I think we're I think we're 0:02 good now. Hi, welcome. This is the AI 0:06 learning lab. You've missed some 0:07 singing. You've missed me fake talking 0:10 about ice machines. And now you're 0:12 caught up. 0:16 Oh, man. All right. So, I think we're 0:18 good. I think we're back back to where 0:20 we need to be. Um 0:23 Steo or uh Mr. or Lord Digital God's 0:26 going to be all confused. What? What 0:28 happened to the opening of that of that 0:30 episode? I don't know. 0:33 I clicked the wrong button, man. 0:35 Um, 0:41 all right. Here's what we're going to 0:42 do. I You know what? 0:46 I think what I want to do, 0:54 let's just go. Why am I not sharing? Oh, 0:57 add the stage. 1:00 I'm just going to go to the Twitter to 1:03 the X the X the Twitter the Twitter X 1:07 and I'm going to scroll because there 1:10 there were some things that were 1:11 interesting 1:13 but not enough that that I was like 1:15 really like ah we got to I that seems 1:17 really amazing. So maybe there's 1:20 something and I just missed it. 1:22 K's doing vibe coding. 1:28 I don't know what that is. I don't care. 1:30 Meta's got these new glasses here. Let's 1:32 We'll watch the video. You can see this, 1:35 right? 1:43 [Music] 1:52 [Music] 1:59 [Music] 2:09 All right, let's watch Mark Zuckerberg. 2:12 Um, Zuckerberg 2:14 demo. Let's watch Mark Zuckerberg fail 2:18 fail in his demo. 2:25 >> WhatsApp video call. 2:26 >> There we go. 2:28 >> Um, 2:29 >> okay. Here we go. 2:32 Let's Let's uh let's enjoy a 2:35 billionaire's misery while his while his 2:38 glasses don't work. 2:40 >> WhatsApp video call. There we go. Uh oh. 2:45 Well, I What's happened though? 2:52 That's too bad. Um I don't know what 2:53 happened. Um 2:57 maybe Bos can try calling me again. 3:04 All right. Well, I got a missed video 3:05 call. Oh, wait. Silverf Fox, you lost me 3:08 on YouTube because I went I I I streamed 3:11 to the wrong channel. 3:13 Volume on the 3:16 This should be good. 3:20 I should be sharing it, right? Hang on. 3:21 Let me Let me reshare. 3:26 He was just quiet. Well, he's 3:27 Zuckerberg. He's He's got that weird 3:29 quiet thing. 3:34 Um anyway, Silverf Fox, um I was on uh 3:38 AI Salon for about 10 minutes. Well, 3:40 like for the whole 15 minutes and then I 3:43 just went over to AI learning lab. So 3:44 it's at learning lab-ai. 3:48 Um 3:50 how is he this old and hasn't figured 3:52 out his hair? 3:57 Although I'm one of the last call. All 3:59 right, I'm just going to pick that up 4:01 with my uh my neural band. 4:06 This is uh you know, it happens. 4:13 >> Yeah, let's uh What do you think? Let's 4:14 just go ahead and 4:17 >> WhatsApp video call. 4:20 >> Uh let's go for a fourth. 4:23 [Music] 4:30 All right, try it again. I keep on 4:32 messing this up. 4:36 And if not, then we'll go for the less 4:39 fun out option. Okay. 4:44 >> I don't know what to tell you guys. All 4:46 right. Um 4:49 but um 4:53 I shouldn't laugh. 4:55 I do danger selling all the time. It is 4:58 terrifying when you're doing danger 4:59 selling and [ __ ] doesn't go right. 5:02 Apparently they had two failed demos 5:04 today. 5:06 Feeling really bad for the Meta OS team. 5:09 H that's rough. Okay, new uh we're 5:12 making my mind. We're making our Android 5:15 members happy. 5:17 Improved note takingaking on my mind. 5:21 Has human scaling hit a wall? 5:25 All right. I don't know 5:34 if you ever wonder like how I find the 5:36 stuff to talk about. It's it's generally 5:39 this, right? It's generally, 5:42 you know, looking, you know, you have to 5:44 kind of scroll past the 10 wild things 5:47 about, you know, chat just GPT just 5:50 changed the game. 10 wild examples. 5:54 You got to skip past those, but they 5:56 catch you because they're they're 5:58 written to catch you. And then you just 6:00 got to kind of look at who's doing the 6:02 who's doing the posting and 6:06 and if you see something come up more 6:08 than once. 6:12 Three new features that ship today. 6:14 Switch by goo. Stitch by Google. 6:18 I don't know what that is. I don't care. 6:21 Tik Tok pin president AI. When are these 6:25 people going to learn not to do live 6:27 demos with cutting edge technology? 6:29 Yeah, I mean that's the problem. It's 6:31 the it's the the reason we have cool 6:34 technology is that entrepreneurs tend to 6:37 be optimists, right? And it's because if 6:39 you weren't, why would you put yourself 6:40 through the [ __ ] misery of starting a 6:43 company and growing it and trying to 6:45 innovate and things like that? 6:48 Because they want to show their cool 6:49 stuff. It like I remember this in the 6:51 90s distinctly like you'd build 6:53 something you're like, "Oh, come here. 6:54 Let me show you something." And then, 6:56 you know, you go to show it and your 6:58 dialup modem would disconnect and you're 7:00 like, "It'll come. It'll come. It's 7:02 going to be so cool." And like 15 7:03 minutes later you're like, "No, 7:04 seriously, it's going to be so cool." 7:06 And like a web page loads and they're 7:08 like, "Oh, yeah. 7:13 It's just the way it is, man." 7:16 Um, 7:19 the 2026 OLED MacBook Pro is expected to 7:23 feature a touchscreen display. All 7:26 right, that's interesting. I think Steve 7:28 Jobs would roll in his grave on that 7:30 one. Uh, yeah, we're we're going to go 7:32 play with World Labs. Um, 7:36 actually, what we're going to do first 7:38 is we're going to go to Gemini and then 7:40 Nano Banana and then World Labs. We're 7:42 gonna go play. 7:46 Um. 7:49 Oh, 7:55 you got to be [ __ ] kidding me. AI 7:58 artist Zia Monae just signed a 8:01 multi-million dollar record deal after 8:03 breaking into the charts. 8:06 So, an AI 8:11 is this real? Billboard Pro, I guess it 8:13 is. 8:21 Last week, a team of record label 8:23 executives took a Zoom meeting with a 8:26 littleknown R&B artist. 8:34 I hope they think they signed a real 8:36 person. Oh my god. 8:41 It's just crazy. 8:45 Anthropic go has a strict policy. 8:49 Oh, yeah. Anthropic admitted or or did a 8:52 a thing on why their technology failed 8:55 for the past month. 8:59 Um Elon Musk said yesterday 9:04 he thinks that Gro 5 could be AGI, but 9:09 you know that's just him marketing and 9:13 throwing hype out there. 9:19 100 chats for college. 9:21 Yeah, there's nothing really interesting 9:23 here, is there? 9:30 Oh, this is a thing that might be worth 9:32 looking at. Um, let's go check this. 9:36 Is this chat GPT? No, 9:46 there's a new Sunno remix contest. I saw 9:49 a top 25 uh a top 25 list from that last 9:53 one. Brandon, 10:00 let me reload this. 10:09 No, I don't see it here. 10:12 Apparently, is it here? No. 10:16 Apparently, um, chat GPT is getting a 10:19 new default, um, where you can you can 10:23 choose how long the model thinks because 10:26 they're they're like, "People have been 10:27 complaining how long this thing thinks, 10:29 and so we're going to default it to a 10:31 shorter length, which probably saves 10:34 them money. Stop trying to explain your 10:36 vision and show it. Your ideas are out 10:39 of this world." 10:40 >> On Gor 7, Zorp, we have dignity. 10:42 >> Relax. You're thinking like a Gorpian. 10:45 You just have to translate. The problem 10:47 isn't the concept. It's the visuals. 10:51 >> This is what appeals to humans. 10:55 >> Wow. Humans are such primitive 10:58 creatures. 11:00 >> Message from the hive mind. Video 11:02 approved. Bonus nutrient paste rations 11:04 have been allocated. 11:06 >> I like Hedra. That's an ad for Hedra. 11:12 My name was not on it. No. 11:16 the remix contest. 11:18 They don't like esoteric heady [ __ ] 11:25 Uh 11:34 there's the Raven thing. 11:53 The Verge. I regret to inform you that 11:55 Meta's new smart glasses are the best 11:57 I've ever tried. 11:59 Tik Tok question. 12:02 Is so is Dolly a thing of the past? 12:07 That's an interesting question. Mary 12:09 Mary um 12:12 I don't know um 12:20 as I recall 12:23 Dolly was a standalone image model. 12:26 Well it was not standalone that you 12:29 called it from within chat GPT but 12:31 technically it was a it was a standalone 12:34 image model as a model. 12:37 the new image gen model that's inside 12:40 chatgbt 12:41 is like chat GBT50 is a multimodal model 12:47 um and then they can turn on the 12:49 thinking capability or not so when 12:50 you're generating images you're 12:52 generating them within the model itself 12:55 um so yeah I would think that doll is a 12:57 thing of the past 12:59 um but you know like like I don't I 13:03 don't know that there's a that there's a 13:05 difference why what's I'm curious what 13:07 questions about 13:10 I know Kyle suggested ideoggram for 13:13 faster images. Well, actually, so let's 13:15 go um take a look at 13:20 um where's my Gemini? 13:24 I went to Billboard Gemini 13:28 gemini.google.com. Let me share this 13:30 tab. Um if you want fast images, go to 13:33 Gemini. So, uh, Nano Banana in Gemini, I 13:37 would say at this point, is probably 13:39 better than Chat GPT's image gen. So, 13:42 chat GPT's image gen is good if you want 13:45 prompt coherence, but Nano Banano is 13:48 pretty good at it. Um, and it's really 13:50 fast. So, if I do, um, I don't know, a 14:01 little old lady 14:04 little old lady um surfing 14:10 surfing 14:12 a tsunami 14:15 at sunset. 14:21 Generating image. 14:35 Well, so now it's proving me wrong. 14:38 Here's an image. Like once it gets it 14:40 there, it's like bang, 4 seconds or 14:41 whatever. Um, that's cute. I'll say make 14:46 it photo realistic. 14:59 I hate slow image production. 15:04 Yeah, I I get it. This is This is really 15:06 fast. The other thing about Nano Banana 15:08 like Okay, see there it couldn't like 15:11 there's a weird thing with Nano Banana 15:13 where sometimes it just ignores what you 15:15 say. Let me see. Uh, make make uh her a 15:23 young man. 15:40 Do you know about Ask Sage? I recently 15:42 got access to it at work. I don't. 15:46 All right. There's a dude surfing the 15:49 tsunami. 15:51 He looks mighty fresh. Wait, does he 15:54 have boobs? I think I gave him boobs. I 15:58 took the little old lady boobs and put 16:00 them on the dude. 16:11 Um, 16:13 wait. One thing that I heard. Wait, 16:15 where 16:17 do we do it here? 16:25 I heard there's a 16:28 the nano banana is not necessarily the 16:31 place you generate the image. It's where 16:32 you edit the image. I don't know. I 16:34 don't know. Um, nanobanana is weird, but 16:37 it's but it's fast and it's quite good. 16:40 Um, okay. Okay. So, so let's do this. 16:41 What we're going to do is we're going to 16:42 say, um, 16:46 I want you to 16:49 describe 16:53 10 different 16:56 fictitious 16:58 locations. 17:00 That would be a great 17:04 place to explore a 3D world. 17:11 Um 17:15 as well as the 17:18 place slash building 17:22 also 17:24 describe 17:26 a unique 17:31 look and feel 17:34 for that place 17:38 as well as the face there. 17:42 Um, these 17:45 descriptions 17:46 should be 17:50 Oh, I know what I wanted to try like 17:52 image prompts. 17:55 There's a new um 18:01 there's a new talk talk instead of 18:03 typing thing that came out today. It's 18:05 called like typely or type free or 18:09 something like that. 18:11 The luminina labyrinth. 18:15 The sunken citadel of Aearos. 18:19 A lost city submerged. Unique look and 18:22 feel. 18:28 Steampunk inspired paradise. 18:32 Typeless. Yeah, typeless. 18:35 because I think I 18:39 typeless.com. 18:43 All right, we'll come back to that. 18:44 Download for Mac. 18:47 All right, thank you. The Whisperwood, 18:51 the floating aisles of whatever. Um, 18:55 let's say I don't want these all to be 19:01 fantasy. 19:03 I want some to be 19:06 cinematic, 19:09 urban, 19:12 um, 19:16 etc. All right, let's see what it does. 19:20 Your vision of a diverse range of 3D 19:22 worlds is a fantastic one. 19:26 Blending unique genres like fantasy, 19:28 cinematic, and urban settings can create 19:31 truly unique and immersive experiences. 19:34 All right. The neon nexus, the worn out 19:37 west. 19:40 The buildings are weathered. Okay. 19:46 So, I'm going to copy this one. I'm 19:47 going to go aspect. So, here's a tip. If 19:51 you're on uh where are we? Gemini. 19:56 And you want to do a nano banana aspect 19:57 ratio 20:00 aspect ratio equals quote 16 colon 9 20:08 and then I'm going to just paste in that 20:10 description and see what it does. Let's 20:12 see if it makes us our image. Those are 20:15 some excellent concepts. I can continue. 20:17 Uh let's see. Let me switch to nano 20:20 banana. Make me that image. 20:27 [Music] 20:34 Generating the image. 20:40 Bam. Wait, why did it give us two? 20:45 Just give me the western 20:51 image. 20:59 President, when doing prompts, I usually 21:01 ask chat GPT to help me with a JSON 21:04 prompt. Yeah, that can help. I'm just 21:06 being lazy. 21:08 [Music] 21:12 All right, this is kind of cool. But why 21:15 did it? 21:22 This is exhausting. 21:28 Your vision of a 3D world is 21:33 Oh, did I paste in everything? 21:38 Oh, I I posted in two different things. 21:41 That was the problem. 21:43 All right, let me go let me go grab the 21:46 west one again. 21:48 The worn out west. 21:53 Okay, 21:55 copy. Let's do a new chat. We're going 21:57 to do nano banana 22:00 and do aspect 22:02 ratio 22:04 equals 22:06 uh 16 col 9 22:10 16 col 9 22:14 and then paste in my prompt and then 22:17 let's make this Okay. 22:38 Why did it make it? 22:43 Is it in the description? 22:57 Put us at street level and make the 23:04 image 16 by9 23:09 aspect ratio. 23:24 I may have to bail and go to midjourney. 23:27 See if I can get it to actually produce 23:28 something. 23:35 All right. Well, let's Oh, I know what 23:37 we can do. Okay. I'm going to download 23:39 that image. Downloading full size. 23:45 And now I'm going to share different so 23:48 you can see. 23:58 Okay. 24:00 Going to go here. Gonna go 24:04 screenshot. 24:13 Oh, wait. It wasn't a screenshot, was 24:15 it? It was a download. 24:17 Okay. So, now what we're going to do, 24:21 so we're just going to cut a 16 by9 out 24:23 of this thing. 24:26 Son of a [ __ ] 24:28 More than one way to skin this cat. All 24:31 right, 24:34 that's about 16 by9. tools, crop, 24:39 save, 24:42 black bar. Okay. 24:46 So, now let's go back here. Now, we're 24:49 going to go to this thing. Okay. So, 24:51 where I am right now, if you're still 24:53 with me, how many people are still here? 24:55 There's 30 people here. I'm sorry for 24:57 the lack of communication. I was just 24:59 trying to get Gemini to do to make us 25:02 kind of a cool image. 25:04 So the site that we're at right now is 25:06 marble mbbr.worldlabs.ai. 25:12 So worldlabs.ai 25:15 is the main site. marble.worldlabs 25:18 is this new 25:21 um model maker. Okay. 25:24 Yeah. Marble and then it's slashcreate 25:27 will take you to the interface we're at 25:29 right now. 25:30 And so I'm going to upload my image that 25:34 I just made that everyone's so super 25:37 excited about. There it is. 25:41 And then we're going to say generate. 25:46 And then I think what I'm going to do, 25:48 am I sharing my screen? I am. Right. I 25:50 think what I'm going to do is I'm going 25:51 to go to meta. 25:54 I'm going to do marble.create. 25:59 create. 26:03 I'm going to upload that same image 26:07 and I'm going to switch the model. So, 26:09 they've got a they've got a mini model 26:12 which takes about 40 seconds. And so, 26:15 that's the one we'll go look at. And 26:16 then they've got this plus model which 26:19 is 26:21 higher quality model, longer spaces, 26:23 estimated 10-minute generation. 26:26 So, I'm going to fire that one off, too. 26:29 Error while creating world probably 26:32 because 26:38 world generation completed. Oh, okay. 26:43 All right. So, it's generating that one. 26:45 Okay. So, here's 26:50 here's the world we just created. 26:59 That's pretty cool. 27:02 Now, my my input image was pretty low 27:05 fidelity, so I guess that's why we're 27:07 getting some like weird distortions, 27:11 but like that's pretty [ __ ] cool. 27:16 We just went under the world. 27:19 Oh, can I go up? I bet I can. If I go 27:23 No. 27:26 No. 27:28 [Music] 27:32 Oops. I lost myself. 27:47 I wish I were better at gaming. 27:50 Download. 27:52 Go forward. 27:56 [ __ ] Completely lost. Wait, let me go 27:59 back out. Come back in. 28:03 But I Yeah, I should be able to turn 28:05 around. Oh, look. There's a big old 28:06 dinosaur. So, it like made ship behind 28:08 us, too. This is cool. Can I go into 28:11 here? Probably not. 28:14 No. 28:23 Oh, that's pretty creepy, 28:26 huh? 28:28 So, this if if you remember, I I'm 28:30 pretty sure it's this company. 28:33 They were making these 3D these sort of 28:36 spherical. You could take an image and 28:38 it would turn it into like this image 28:40 sphere. And it looks like they've 28:42 stitched a bunch of them together. Like 28:44 I don't quite know how they're doing 28:45 this, but I think that's what it is. 28:54 Huh. 29:07 Huh. All right. Well, there you go. And 29:11 then we'll come back to that one. That's 29:13 That's going to take 10 minutes. We'll 29:14 see if that one's any better. Maybe 29:15 Maybe it'll be better. Maybe it won't. 29:18 Um, wow, that's trippy. I was just there 29:22 and yeah, it's gy 29:24 totally out of my stratosphere. 29:27 What's this site? So, this site is 29:29 worldlabs.ai. 29:33 Nah. N I'm not 29:37 not into it. 29:39 Um 29:43 um I'm gonna I'm gonna go back to 29:46 something. We'll we'll come back to 29:48 this. I want to go to 29:51 Midjourney. I want to show you something 29:52 new on MidJourney. Um I continue to be 29:56 enamored by Midjourney. So, MidJourney 29:58 now has if you if you go to the explore 30:00 page on Mid or the the explore tab on 30:03 MidJourney where it defaults is a list 30:06 of images, but then up here in the upper 30:10 right um there's this thing called 30:12 styles and you can go to styles. And so 30:14 now these are all style references that 30:17 like here's top ones of the day, here's 30:21 hot ones, 30:23 here's random ones. 30:27 Um, 30:29 but I saw something today that's really 30:31 cool. The the search the search bar 30:34 works for these. So, if you don't know 30:36 what a style references in Mid Journey, 30:38 like see this green style sort of here. 30:40 I could go uh we'll do we'll do a 30:43 a thing of let's see um 30:47 candy store 30:51 and then 30:54 let's see. Yeah, you you click on the 30:56 little the little text icon when you 30:59 roll over that style and it adds the 31:00 style reference to your image generation 31:04 and you make that image and now it's 31:06 going to use that that style reference. 31:08 But a really cool thing that you can do 31:10 now is you can search for attributes and 31:13 it'll find you styles that have those 31:15 attributes. So, if I wanted to find like 31:17 black and white styles, I can just type 31:18 in BW 31:22 and then here's all these black and 31:24 white style references, 31:28 which is super cool. Or I could put in 31:30 um I don't know, sunsets 31:34 or sunset, 31:36 and there's a bunch of sunset looking 31:38 things. Or I could put in 31:41 um 31:42 geo geometric 31:49 and there's a bunch of geometric stuff. 31:52 And then and then you can literally just 31:54 go like super quickly ideulate and fly 31:58 through a bunch of different styles 32:01 until you get something you like. Isn't 32:03 that cool? 32:05 Like here's a cool geometric black and 32:07 white one. So, let me try that one. 32:11 So, I'll do what did I say? Candy store. 32:13 Right. So, we'll do candy store. 32:19 And then we'll go look at our look at 32:21 our images. And so, here's that green 32:23 one 32:25 that we were just looking at. And it 32:28 made a cool 32:34 candy store. 32:37 Like actually I love the style of these 32:39 images. These are cool. 32:41 In fact, 32:47 huh? So cool. 32:56 Let me show you some other [ __ ] While 32:58 that's rendering, I'll show you some 32:59 other things I did today. 33:03 I did. So, so one of my producer Brandon 33:07 I got to go doom scroll. Hey Ann Murphy, 33:11 are you waiting for me to notice you? 33:19 Um um by the way, so Ann Murphy's here. 33:22 If you if you um if you are a woman in 33:26 AI, you should go to the create 33:28 conference. Go to sheleadsai.ai. AI and 33:32 check out the create conference. It's in 33:34 Salt Lake City from October 11th to 33:36 October 14th. Um the AI salons's a big 33:40 supporter of it. Um see this this woman 33:43 here skateboarding? That's that's what 33:46 the create conference is going to be 33:48 like. You're going to be like flying 33:50 across the planes on a cloudy day. It's 33:53 going to be awesome. 33:55 Um 33:57 what about candy stripers? Remember 33:59 those? Yeah, I do actually. That's 34:01 funny. Um, so go check out 34:03 sheleadsai.ai. 34:05 Um, 34:08 also, um, mark on your calendars 34:11 December 26th and December 27th, Ann 34:15 Murphy and I are going to do AI 34:17 Festivus, which we did last year with 34 34:21 speakers over 24 hours, the weekend 34:24 between Christmas and New Year's, and 34:27 it's going to be amazing. So, start 34:30 planning now to make excuses why you 34:33 don't want to be with your family for 24 34:34 hours. 34:39 I got a work thing. Sorry. Hey, sorry. I 34:42 got a work thing. You're going to hang 34:44 out with those AI people, aren't you? 34:47 Shut up. 34:51 All 34:55 right, 34:58 pop on up here and Murphy. 35:09 [Music] 35:17 Oh, these are beautiful. Look at these 35:19 what we just made. 35:21 Oops. What did I do? 35:26 Candy store. Love that one. Holy [ __ ] 35:30 That's cool. 35:33 Like, and that's something I never would 35:34 have found, right? 35:37 I think she's doom scrolling somewhere. 35:39 We lost her. We lost the Ann Murphy. 35:46 Um, let's go back out and do some more 35:48 styles until Ann shows up. We'll just go 35:50 play. Um, oh, that's a cool one. Okay, 35:53 so we'll do try style. So, here's the 35:55 here's the other thing. If if you roll 35:58 over the upper right hand corner of any 36:01 one of these styles, it says try style. 36:04 And what that does is it basically 36:06 reloads your last prompt and your last 36:09 settings with the new style reference. 36:11 And so, you can go through and you can 36:13 just really quickly 36:16 find stuff you like. Let's do uh that 36:19 that one's cool, too. Oh, that one looks 36:22 like candy. All right, so there's three. 36:26 All right, so let's go look for um 36:30 curves. 36:33 Look, I I mean, how beautiful is that? 36:34 Tik Tok question. 36:37 Is there any do not Wait, what? Hang on. 36:44 Is there any do not pay? 36:47 Oh, is there any free uh nano banana? 36:52 I don't know. 36:54 Uh probably. I know. I saw a thing today 36:58 that said they were giving away 60 nano 37:01 banana 37:03 generations. 37:07 I don't know. 37:09 I should know that. Sorry that I don't. 37:16 Oh, that one's cool. That one's cool. 37:20 The problem with these style things is 37:22 it's like crack. It's like you just blow 37:24 through your your render credits. 37:30 All right, let's do something. Oh, you 37:32 know what? I want blueprint. 37:34 Blueprint. 37:37 Oh, these are cool. 37:46 That's it. 37:48 I guess they're I guess they're hand 37:50 curating these things. 38:03 Wow, that's so cool. 38:07 Oh, you know what we should do? 38:11 Let's take this thing. 38:15 Um, 38:17 let's download this 38:19 and then we're going to go back to the 38:22 world thingy. Oh. Oh, we have our we 38:24 have our 38:28 our uh our other world was created. 38:31 Okay, let's let's turn this into an 38:33 explorable world. We'll do this with the 38:36 mini one. generate. 38:38 We'll go to our worlds. Let's go into 38:40 here. 38:46 I need that one. Where do I go? Which 38:48 one do you need? 38:52 Hi. What are we in? So, Corey Sandler 38:54 Pottery, we're in um we're we're jumping 38:58 back and forth between Nano Banana 39:01 Gemini.google.com google.com 39:04 um midjourney and now we're at this 39:06 thing called worldlabs.ai 39:10 um which creates these 3D worlds that 39:13 you can explore. So this is the this is 39:15 the plus model that took 10 minutes to 39:18 render. 39:19 So it's pretty good. 39:22 Let's turn around and go back the other 39:24 direction. Uh the dinosaur is weird 39:27 here. 39:35 Yeah, you go under the world. It's It's 39:37 very strange. 39:39 So, they don't have anything resembling 39:41 collision detection or anything. 39:51 Um, there's no up and down. Wait. 39:54 Controls. Okay. Wait. Forward, left. 39:56 Okay. Move up. Space. Ah, move down 40:00 control. 40:03 Okay. 40:06 So now I can move forward. 40:13 Space moves me up. 40:20 Yeah, that's crazy. 40:22 It's all sorts of [ __ ] up. 40:28 But you know, 40:46 Huh. 40:48 Very strange. Very strange. 40:54 How far can I go? 41:03 Can I just keep going into the void? 41:08 Yeah. 41:13 I I'll tell you you you want to know 41:15 something that's going to happen? See 41:16 all this weirdness right here? 41:19 What's going to happen is artists are 41:22 going to discover this and they're going 41:23 to exploit these these weird worlds. 41:28 They're going to create weird weird ass 41:31 worlds and movies that are like, you 41:34 know, living on the edges of what was 41:36 created. 41:41 The exploration of the gauian splat. 41:45 Gonna be some new art project. 41:47 [Laughter] 41:51 Windows 95 called it wants it screen 41:53 saver back. Exactly. 41:56 Um 41:58 that wasn't in blazing saddles. Um 42:01 that's kind of cool. All right, let's go 42:02 look at our other world we just created. 42:04 Generating world. Oh, is it still going? 42:06 No. Here we go. 42:09 Z. Come on. 42:17 Cool. 42:19 Oh, I like this. Wow. Go into the Go 42:23 into the depths of nothingness. 42:32 [Music] 42:34 So wait, this was Yeah, this was the 42:36 picture. 42:39 Oops. 42:44 Can I slide 42:48 controls? How do you slide left? 42:53 Decrease POV. 42:57 Oh, that's interesting. 43:00 Go right, go left. Oh, a Oh, a ASD. 43:03 Yeah. Okay. 43:05 So, so normal gaming controls 43:08 and then mouse to mouse to twirl. 43:12 All right. 43:15 Fascinating. 43:18 That just goes into nothingness, 43:22 huh? 43:24 Trippier than [ __ ] man. 43:31 Are you all making [ __ ] You should be 43:33 making [ __ ] If you're not playing 43:34 along, 43:36 you should be playing along. 43:55 So, this is fascinating. Like, so right 43:57 now what they're doing is they're I 44:00 don't quite know what they're doing. 44:00 They're not making 3D objects. Certainly 44:06 when they start combining this [ __ ] with 44:08 3D object generation, like each of these 44:11 people becomes an object automatically, 44:14 but then they put it in one of these 44:16 weirdass splatty worlds. 44:21 I'm guessing two years. Two years until 44:24 we have decent 3D world generation, but 44:27 it could be sooner than that. 44:29 Huh. Fascinating. 44:32 All right. It's like KPT Bryce. I 44:35 remember Bryce side hustle. Mimi 44:38 Kai KPT Kai's power tools. Who knew? Who 44:41 knew that piece of trivia? Kai Krauss. 44:45 Kai Krauss the madman. 44:49 Um Tom, I'm doing leak code exercises 44:52 while listening. Perfect. 44:55 The whole point of this channel is 44:57 exactly what you're doing, Tom. Just be 44:59 in the conversation. You be doing leak 45:02 code [ __ ] Someone else is making songs. 45:04 Someone else is making their lost in 45:06 midjourney styles. I'm just bumbling 45:10 through [ __ ] horribly right now, which 45:14 you're welcome. 45:17 Um, but yeah, that's that's exactly what 45:20 that's the whole point of this is just 45:22 be in the conversation. Just be playing. 45:25 Look how cool these are. Wow. Let's turn 45:28 one of these into a world. Oh, look at 45:29 this. 45:31 Oh, we're going [ __ ] psychedelic 45:33 people. 45:35 Which one? I think this one. Right. 45:38 Yeah. 45:40 Right. Nice 45:43 download. But I also like this one. This 45:46 olden timey illustration with the old 45:48 lady. Let's do this one. All right. 45:51 Download. All right. Let's go back to 45:53 Oh, am I not sharing? No, I'm sharing. 45:54 I'm good. I thought I was a loser for a 45:57 minute there. But you are a loser. Shoot 45:59 up. 46:01 Um, how do I get back 46:04 like that? Okay. Go to create. Upload an 46:07 image. 46:11 Beautiful. We're going to generate that 46:12 world. 46:14 We're going to go back. We're going to 46:15 upload the next image. 46:18 We're going to generate that world. 46:21 We go back to Mid Journey. 46:24 We go look at what else we created. 46:28 How cool are these things? 46:33 So, if you're wondering if you're if 46:35 you're wondering what the what the uh 46:38 the little recipe that I'm using here 46:40 is, it's basically like a single word 46:43 prompt like I put this afternoon. I was 46:45 playing with the word skater. This is 46:48 candy store. Um it can be anything. It 46:52 can be a longer prompt, but what I'm 46:54 experimenting with is a simple word and 46:57 then just lots of different styles 47:02 to see if the styles inspire something, 47:04 inspire some idea. 47:10 Wow. 47:13 Like like look at this. Actually, you 47:15 know what? Let's I want to make that 47:17 world. 47:20 Does does this not feel like some sort 47:22 of high concept 47:25 Moroc or Monaco kind of candy store, 47:30 right? Or Vegas kind of candy store. 47:33 Like if you're an interior designer 47:36 or any kind of designer, why would you 47:39 not be just look at this thing 47:43 to inspire a design for some sort of 47:46 building or some sort of 47:48 table or bar? 47:52 Why would you not be in here [ __ ] 47:54 247? 47:56 How cool is this? Damn. 48:00 And then if you find anything you like, 48:03 you've got the style reference. So, so 48:05 in the prompt itself, you've got the 48:07 style reference you used. So, you can 48:09 run down any one of these rabbit holes 48:11 you want. 48:18 Another cool one. Another cool one. This 48:20 is part of the blueprint. 48:23 Look at that, Wandy. 48:27 That's amazing. 48:38 [ __ ] bonkers. 48:44 All right, let's go find some more 48:46 styles. Um, 48:49 I like this one. So, let's do let's do 48:52 let's do leaves. 48:56 Leaves. 49:01 Let's do 49:03 jungle. 49:06 Oh, look at these. These are cool. Okay, 49:08 try that style. 49:11 I think I want to do something other 49:12 than candy store. Let Let me go to the 49:14 create page for a minute. Let me grab 49:16 that same 49:18 style reference. And then I'm going to 49:20 do I want to do um 49:30 intense 49:33 stare, 49:36 which should give us faces, but we'll 49:38 see. 49:40 Intense stair. So, now I'm going back 49:42 out to explore 49:44 and we'll do let's do um 49:50 hair. 49:53 Well, that gives us a bunch of anime 49:55 stuff. That's interesting, huh? Crazy. 49:59 All right, so let's do um face. 50:05 So, these are more like traditional 50:07 illustrations. Fascinating. 50:13 Oh, it just hit me that these midjourney 50:15 styles, they all have face, landscape, 50:18 still life, and then if you click on one 50:22 face, landscape, still life, 50:26 other still life, spherical thing, 50:28 cottage, 50:29 little animal, and then something else. 50:33 So, they all follow that same Oh, that's 50:36 cool. 50:38 fantasy animal. Let's This is probably 50:40 fantasy animal, fantasy building, 50:45 you know, uh portrait. 50:47 Uh I don't know, whatever. House on a in 50:51 a place or place in a place kind of 50:53 place. Huh. Fascinating. 50:58 Fascinating. Fascinating. Fascinating. 51:00 Let's do Let's do um rainbow 51:06 because it's candy store. 51:12 Let's do Skittles. 51:16 That's actually Let's do C. Oh, that's 51:18 cool. Look at those colors. 51:21 Let's do candy as a as a style search. 51:28 Try this style. Try this style. 51:33 Oh, these are cool. These are going to 51:35 be good. Try this style. Oh, but we're 51:38 not doing candy store anymore. We're 51:39 doing intense stare. That's fascinating. 51:42 All right, we'll see what we get. 51:48 That one's cool. 51:58 I'll tell you what, I go back to my my 52:01 early agency days 52:04 when I was doing desktop publishing in 52:06 the late 80s and early 90s. 52:10 All the creative directors and all the 52:11 art directors had these books, these 52:14 really thick books that they would get 52:16 when they'd go to conferences and things 52:18 like that of 52:22 illustrators and and ads that were 52:24 created and things like that that they 52:25 would use for inspiration and they would 52:28 they would go copy them on photocopers 52:31 and 52:32 and this is like that on steroids. It's 52:35 [ __ ] crazy. 52:40 because you just instantly go from, "Oh, 52:42 this is inspiring." to turn that into an 52:45 image for me. 52:51 All right, here's our intense stairs. 52:56 That was cool. 53:07 Like that's a crazy ass style that just 53:10 gives you like these super intense, 53:13 weirdly not realistic 53:16 cartoony characters. That's cool. 53:26 That's groovy. 53:43 Yeah, I think that's a that's a bad 53:45 prompt. I like the the weirder ones. 53:47 Let's do observe. 53:51 Observe is the new prompt. And then 53:54 we'll do 53:57 that style reference. 54:00 We'll go back to explore and we'll go 54:03 let's go um faded. 54:08 Oh, this one's cool. Try that style. 54:15 Wow, Bryce, I used that back in the day. 54:17 I know. Unreal Engine is free to 54:20 download and use for most purposes. Yep. 54:26 I use Bryce and KPT2 54:29 Candyland 54:31 Nano Banana free at AI Studio. That's 54:33 the one. That was the one that I saw 54:35 today. AI studio. They give you 60 free 54:39 generations, I think, just for signing 54:41 up, which is smart. That's smart for 54:45 them. Oh, let's do Polaroid. 54:48 Polaroid. 54:50 Polaroid. 54:54 Wow, this is so cool. 54:59 Try that style. Try that style. 55:06 Try that style. 55:09 The light leaks 55:18 crazy. Um, let's do um 55:22 film. 55:25 H 55:27 Oh, cinema. Let's do cinema. 55:30 Cinema. Are you going to the cinema? 55:36 Yeah, these are great. Look at these. 55:40 Copy style or try style. 55:46 This little faded looking thing. 55:49 That one's really cool. This one's 55:51 really cool. 55:55 So, the prompt now is Oh, I've got 12 55:57 things rendering. It's going to crap out 55:59 on me here shortly. 56:03 That one's cool. That one's cool. 56:11 Honest to God, man, you could you could 56:14 just get so lost in 56:20 in just discovering a low battery. You 56:22 got to plug in my phony phone. It's 56:25 about to go. 56:27 You can just get so lost in this whole, 56:31 you know, exploring all this latent 56:33 space. 56:35 H 56:38 just [ __ ] crazy. 56:41 All right, so here's observe. Oh, that's 56:44 beautiful. 56:46 God damn. Love that. 57:02 Wow. Taking a picture of the eye on the 57:05 wall. 57:07 That's so cool. 57:20 [Laughter] 57:51 That's trippy. 58:09 [ __ ] crazy. 58:43 Wild. All right, let's go back to this 58:45 thing. Let's go look at our worlds. 58:51 Where's our worlds? Did it not make our 58:52 worlds? 58:55 No, it didn't. Why? Oh, maybe I'm out of 58:59 credits. 59:03 Marble oneplus mini 59:11 like okay let's make that one generate 59:15 error while creating world retry error 59:18 while creating world 59:20 reload 59:24 oh refill credits Yeah. 59:35 Oh, join our Discord community and get 59:38 free credits. 59:40 All right, I might do that. 59:43 Well, that was fun while it lasted. 59:48 I'm a little seduced by midjourney, got 59:51 to be honest. 59:56 There's just something about it. 59:58 Typeless. Um, yeah. Let me go install 1:00:01 it. I had to do something. I tried to 1:00:04 install it at work and it wasn't it 1:00:06 wasn't super 1:00:09 intuitive or whatever. Let me see if I 1:00:12 install it here. If it just installs 1:00:21 [Music] 1:00:28 type list. 1:00:32 It sure would be nice if this just 1:00:34 worked. 1:00:37 Continue with Google. Oh, this is what I 1:00:39 had problems with. The Google 1:00:40 authentication was [ __ ] up. 1:00:43 Typless will open automatically when you 1:00:46 log in. Okay, that's fine. 1:00:49 Download for free. Continue with Google. 1:00:56 Yeah, this this is what happened to me 1:00:57 at work. It's I'm in this endless 1:01:00 authentication loop. 1:01:06 Anybody knows how to get out of that 1:01:07 [ __ ] Let me know. 1:01:11 But what is it when it works?
