18. 5:26[Music] and then hedra today hedra is one of the the video tools they hedra sort of comes in and out of of uh awareness for me
19. 5:41because for a long time they would only make Square videos uh and they've since fixed that and today they came out with a version
20. 5:48three of their um their video character model which allows you to make cartoon characters talk and so I figured we'd play with
21. 6:04that and I'm going to show you I'm going to take some twoy old images no almost three years now two and a half two and a half year old
22. 6:13images from stable defusion and we're going to kind of resurrect them in mid journey and uh turn them into something interesting I
23. 6:24think so we'll be doing a little deep diving tonight [Music] oh steo is also on X are you on LinkedIn as well

49. 12:40nuanced I had a really cool experience today so I'm in this group content Evolution and I'm the chief generative
50. 12:49officer there which is a good love that title doesn't mean much but it's a good title and uh I kind of lead the AI charge there
51. 13:03and there's a guy in that group he's been in it for year and a half two years and really really smart guy really smart
52. 13:09consultant and we've been talking about putting together this product that we're going to put out in the
53. 13:15marketplace and he asked me a question about security if he wanted to take client data and put that into a large
54. 13:22language model how would you do that I said well the safest way is to you know run it locally install it on a local machine and run it there
55. 13:32and I said there's a couple other ways you can do it you can de identify things and he said I don't know what you mean run it
56. 13:42locally and I said well you grab the large language model and depending how beefy your computer is you install the
57. 13:52large language model on your computer and then you don't have to go out to the internet to use it right you don't have
58. 13:57to go to open AI servers and you know use their shitty data agreements their data privacy agreements which suck by the
59. 14:05way and uh he was like but I I I don't get it like where's the how does it get the information I said well you install
60. 14:13the large language model on your on your local machine he goes but where does it get the date he could not get his head around the
61. 14:23fact that these insane scientists and math mathematicians have figured out a way to take the collective output of humanity
62. 14:34and compress it into a thing small enough to install on a hard drive and and like this guy's been using
63. 14:46AI for a year and a half two years and it it like I could just see the blood drain out of his face and his jaw
64. 14:53dropped open it and it wasn't so much a Kevin mallister moment as it was like this Pro profound like is that what these things
65. 15:03are I was like yeah that's what like that's why this stuff's so insane and I'm like you know within three years you're going to be able to
66. 15:15have a video model and an image model and and an audio a song model and sound effects and words and programming and 3D
67. 15:23worlds all just locally on your machine and anything you want to produce squit out it'll come that is the world we're living in right
68. 15:32now it's crazy I thought it was such a cool moment it was such a it was such an honest moment from him because he was
69. 15:44like but what do you mean install it locally I'm like you install it on your computer he goes but where does it I don't get
70. 15:53it it can't all be in there yeah it is I think probably within a
71. 16:10year there there will be commercial computers that that um are sold pre-installed with a bunch of AI models
72. 16:19in them that you just run everything locally [Music]
73. 16:40where do you download the llms from well you can go to hugging face is hugging face is sort of the big repository where
74. 16:47all those models are held um what I would do if I were you if you want to start playing around with open source
75. 16:54large language models is go to Reddit uh and just look up open source large language models and just go start
76. 17:00hanging out in some of the Reddit things and look at the pinned you know the the upvoted conversations about you know
77. 17:08what are the things people are talking about the most um and then you can have chat GPT um teach you how to do [ __ ] I had chat
78. 17:17GPT today I had to I had to do an animation that I thought I could do in iMovie and they didn't have the right
79. 17:25effect so I I'm like [ __ ] I don't know how to use I haven't used Premier Final Cut Pro in a decade and so I was like I don't know
80. 17:34how to I don't know how to do this what am I going to do and I was like I pulled out my trusty old Quinn I pulled out
81. 17:39chat GPT voice chat with the video enabled which if you haven't seen that it's [ __ ] insane um and I just pointed it to my
82. 17:47screen and I literally just had a conversation hey Quinn I want to do this kind of effect and I showed her the
83. 17:53effect and she goes oh you're just going to use this kind of effect or that kind of effect and then together she you know she's
84. 18:01like oh you go to this menu item and you go to that like it is UN inconceivable to [Laughter] me that you can have a conversation with
85. 18:12something that knows all the software it knows all the software because all the software manuals and all
86. 18:18the software blogs and all the software videos are on the internet so it's all in the training data it's amazing
87. 18:34oh is there something going on over there uh what's this say that's either a comment oh P's got a demystifying AI

114. 22:52it out probably within a month or so we'll we'll have our [ __ ] together we're not quite there yet um but it's it's a really fun format I
115. 23:01think we've we've kind of nailed you know what the show's about um we have a guest on that's kind of a half hour and
116. 23:08then we just talk about how ready are we for AI um for the first half hour and and just talk about you know not so much the tools a lot more
117. 23:19you know how you dealing with it basically and uh it's really exciting so all right cool fantastic fantastic um also did you see that we

119. 23:41fun so some of you may have seen this video before or this image before and a lot of the the video tools that
120. 23:58have lip syncing capabilities they fail when it comes to cartoony kind of images and even something like this they don't do really
121. 24:08well hedra today h e d a hedra doai came out with a new model called character 3 and it can do characters cartoons so check this
122. 24:21out I don't know what do you think you like it I like it what do you think I mean that's pretty damn good I don't
123. 24:32know what do you think you like it I like it what do you think pretty damn good um so I figured what we might do is
124. 24:42resurrect some old Kyle Shannon dreams photos use mid journey to expand them bring them to life um then maybe what we'll do is
125. 24:54we'll go over there's a new audio tool that that Brandon showed us called fish. audio that looks really good normally
126. 25:06normally a lot of the things Brandon brings me I'm like ah whatever not great whatever Brandon but not tonight tonight I think
127. 25:16he nailed it he brought us a good one um all right Quinn a I sound like oh is quen quen 2.1 yeah quen 2.1 uh like
128. 25:27all of the quen models are from Alibaba and there's a I think they have a video model I think they have a large language
129. 25:36model but they have they have a couple of them if you go to chat. quen doai or chat. ken.com not sure which one it is
130. 25:51um oh I mentioned half of pate's thing well I love sunos well sunos sunos is for music this fish. audio thing is for text to uh yeah text
131. 26:04to speech and and you can clone your own voice so what we're going to do is we're going to go make an image then we're
132. 26:10going to clone my voice write some scripty stuff turn it into audio then have that audio Drive animations like this
133. 26:20one all right tabs and black bar okay beautiful there's that all right fantastic cap cut is great on audio

137. 27:14lets you run open source models on your local hard drive right um I think that's what it is is that what it is I don't I
138. 27:23tend not to mess with the open source models just because they change too fast and they're pain in the asked to install
139. 27:28and uninstall you actually have to to to in my opinion to truly play with open source you have to have a functional
140. 27:41prefrontal cortex so if you have ADHD here's the problem with having ADHD in the open source world you see an open
141. 27:50source model you get all excited you figure out oh I've got to install Ama or whatever GPT or I have to spin a Google
142. 27:58collab notebook and you do your hyperfocus deep dive thing and you go install all this [ __ ] and then you play
143. 28:06with it and you're like ah I don't really care but now you've got this like you know 465 gigabyte [ __ ] file installed on
144. 28:16your machine that ate up all your hard drive you're like I don't feel like uninstalling it so you just let it there
145. 28:22and then it just ruins your life but if you don't have ADHD and and can actually follow through on keeping track
146. 28:32of [ __ ] you've installed on your computer if you if if like if one of your things is Inbox zero and you take
147. 28:39great pride in tidiness digital tidiness you might you might be good with the open source world if like me
148. 28:47you're a tab hoarder and you've got more than a 100,000 unopened emails you're probably not going to do

150. 29:03filled up her other one with crap but Vicky's actually she's a she's a sleeper she must have some some some

157. 30:10wake up at 3:30 in the morning with an idea I'd wake up at 3:30 and be like I gotta do this thing and I jump into a
158. 30:16large language model or a image model and do something all right I can only through follow through if I don't have to come back to it and

161. 30:47made in like September October of 2022 so it's a while ago and they're so they're very low resolution they're not
162. 30:58super super great but they're but they're fun and interesting and there's there's a big Library here so like there's a good

178. 34:40mid Journey prompts and then and then I was just on my phone copying and pasting from mid Journey or from chat GPT into
179. 34:47mid Journey trying to get double exposure photos I got some interesting stuff that one's kind of cool
180. 35:06there's a disturbing one these were these were interesting ideas but they're just too janky and weird kind of cool he's got like cracked
181. 35:17plaster on his forehead but it was kind of cool making art while while I was in Galleries and some of it's I mean most
182. 35:32of it's not art most of it's just crap but there's ideas in here that are worth exploring like that that was one of them
183. 35:40I thought was kind of cool that one is composition compositionally a mess but kind of interesting anyway okay so we're in mid
184. 35:53journey and you know lots and lots of lots and lots of pit es I did a cool one this one thought that one was pretty cool
185. 36:05it's like a bird nest a skull skull made out of a bird nest thought that was pretty sweet but we're going to hop into edit

187. 36:23our images I think I'll grab the cartoony one this one and then this can now be the basis of us doing some stuff so I'm going to I'm

281. 56:26a lot 25,000 words or so if it's 32,000 tokens um and it kind of selectively chooses what it throws into your memory
282. 56:37like you'll type something like a lot of times on here I'll type like you know I'm a space kid at you know at a you
283. 56:44know in a cartoon and it'll say saving memory and I'm like no I don't want that to be in my memory so it's just kind of
284. 56:52selectively chucking stuff in there that it thinks is interesting so it's actually not a bad idea to go in there
285. 56:58and if there's [ __ ] in there that you don't want it to think you know is in its memory about you you can delete it
286. 57:04so I would encourage doing that I there there's no real reason to um throw out old chats but if you want to go through
287. 57:14and throw out useless ones you can um what is useful is you can take old chats of similar topics and you can throw them into a
288. 57:24project so you can take mult multiple old chats so this is kind of like notebook LM where you can take historical chats from chat GPT throw
289. 57:33them into what's called a project and then you can chat with all those chats which is I think pretty smart pretty pretty slick that's
