7:51 um in Pennsylvania streams called a
7:54 helgramite and then it I think it's got
7:58 a like a a molting period of two years I
8:01 think it's long so it lives in the
8:03 Stream for two years and they're like
8:04 big sort of gray nasty bugs with
8:08 pinchers and you know people fish with
8:10 them as bait but when those things hatch
8:13 they turn into these things called
8:14 Dobson flies which are you know kind of
8:19 in this neighborhood of
8:23 size
8:24 and when they hatch they they they hatch
8:28 and they fly up in trees
8:30 and then when the sun sets um they they
8:33 fly upstream and then they you know I
8:37 guess have sex in the air whatever bugs
8:39 do when they're flying upstream and then
8:42 they fall in the water where they were
8:43 born basically lay eggs and die right
8:46 but when they're
8:48 flying it's dark and and they fly like
8:51 bats they're like really erratic and so
8:54 so if you're in the middle of a stream
8:56 you just see what you think is a bat and
8:58 then all of a sudden you get quat a big
9:01 giant bug just like Lambs on your face
9:03 and was like trying to figure out what
9:05 the hell just happened they're like
9:06 walking around on your face and you're
9:07 like

9:15 terrifying oh man I have might have
9:18 nightmares about those
9:20 things went from Bugs to bats I was
9:23 driving we were driving back we had a
9:25 Country House in Pennsylvania we were
9:26 driving back one night and I saw a
9:29 Dobson fly like walking up the a pillar
9:31 the little arm you know and I noticed it
9:34 starting to crawl across the windshield
9:36 they said I said honey you're about to
9:38 see a really big bug I need you not to
9:40 scream so I wrecked the car and I just
9:43 slowly pulled over and this thing walked
9:46 across they're nasty they're big old
9:48 nasty things they're harmless but you
9:51 know a face full of bug when it's just
9:54 getting dark out it's a little freaky

11:58 a really curious dilemma like what what

12:02 allow people to do and I I suppose it's
12:04 going to be that we start out more
12:06 simply and then we work our way we work

12:13 so today was day seven of open AI ship

12:20 um projects where you can upload files
12:25 you can give it a custom prompt like a
12:28 system prompt and then you can include
12:30 multiple chats in this project and then
12:34 you can have a
12:35 prompt in the project that takes all of
12:38 that other information into account
12:40 which is really
12:41 fascinating um how you add chats into
12:46 the
12:48 project I
12:51 like how come it I I have this uncanny
12:54 ability when when it when when I get a
12:57 new release of something the first thing
12:59 I want to try is always the thing that
13:01 doesn't exist or or that's that's the
13:04 one thing that's got a bug in it I I am
13:08 I have an uncanny record of finding a
13:10 bug within five minutes of
13:12 testing and it's always the thing that I
13:14 think is the most obvious and the
13:16 engineers are like oh we didn't that
13:18 seems to be an edge case I'm like it's
13:20 not an edge case I'm not an edge case

16:04 a URL but a hack I figured out is you
16:10 can add a prompt you can add a chat that
16:13 has a URL in
16:15 it aren't I clever so I did a chat where
16:20 I said you know here's here's
16:22 documentation for Luma Labs dream
16:24 machine best practices now come up with
16:27 a prompt writer so I did a chat that's a
16:29 prompt writing
16:32 chat
16:34 um and then I could upload files I could
16:37 upload custom instructions so the custom
16:39 instructions might be

16:51 Storyteller and when I ask
16:55 for
16:57 narratives and
17:01 clip

22:20 project where you start out you give it
22:22 a prompt and it makes a pile of images
22:25 and then you can take any of those
22:26 images and turn them into um um into uh
22:32 videos but you can also just iterate on
22:34 the images like when you make a prompt
22:36 it gives you it turns it into like this
22:38 Mad Libs kind of thing and so you just
22:42 you know I want resilient looking
22:44 soldiers and they're ready instead of
22:46 ready for battle they're ready for a
22:48 skirmish and instead of soldiers well n
22:52 not revolutionaries we'll keep it
22:54 soldiers and now we'll make them look
22:57 undaunted
22:59 and so this is a way to just really
23:01 quickly come up with a bunch of uh a
23:04 bunch of
23:09 ideas and then any one of these you can
23:12 say make this a
23:14 video and you can give it no prompt or
23:17 some
23:18 prompt and then it'll make a video for
23:21 you so that's lumabs lumabs is pretty
23:23 cool all right um so back to

34:30 real [ __ ] up thing so after two years
34:34 of me complaining I I went personally to
34:36 Sam alman's house and and that's why

34:44 two years I've been asking for the
34:46 ability to search previous chats so you
34:48 can do that now right so I can go in
34:51 here and I can search for

36:58 name of a a prompt that says add to
37:02 project and then you have another model
37:06 that searches for the name of of
37:12 chats how do you not connect those dots
37:16 literal dots how do you not go oh we
37:19 should be able to add them from here too
37:22 I assume it's because things are
37:24 compartmentalized but they're a
37:25 relatively small company it shouldn't be
37:27 that bad yet

39:10 got people all hot and bothered about

58:17 used um yeah I I just went through it a
58:20 bit Jeff but it's basically think of uh
58:23 a chat GPT project as almost identical
58:27 to a chat GPT um a custom
58:30 GPT where you have three basic inputs
58:33 you've got a system prompt where you can
58:36 tell it to act a certain way you've got
58:39 files that you can upload and then
58:41 you've got chats that you can include so
58:44 think of it kind of like a smart folder
58:46 where you can take previous Chats on a
58:48 particular topic throw them in the in
58:51 the folder in the project and then you
58:54 could upload files to it like maybe
58:56 you're working on a book so you put the
58:57 book manuscript there as a file and then
58:59 you have a system prompt and then
59:01 basically you can just start chatting
59:03 with everything that's in that project
59:06 um it's pretty slick but it's it's early
59:08 days it it it it's clearly a new feature
59:11 that is
59:12 incomplete

2:00:59 AI she's like made a commitment that
