21. 6:09that it's a small intimate gathering tonight those are those framed bugs on the wall yes those are I guess they're

25. 7:07again some people are like bugs are beautiful other people are like ah it burns it burns

27. 7:37so I used to do a lot of fly fishing in Pennsylvania and like tie flies and stuff so I'm pretty into entomology but there's a there's an
28. 7:46insect in um in Pennsylvania streams called a helgramite and then it I think it's got a like a a molting period of two years I
29. 8:00think it's long so it lives in the Stream for two years and they're like big sort of gray nasty bugs with
30. 8:07pinchers and you know people fish with them as bait but when those things hatch they turn into these things called
31. 8:14Dobson flies which are you know kind of in this neighborhood of size and when they hatch they they they hatch and they fly up in trees
32. 8:30and then when the sun sets um they they fly upstream and then they you know I guess have sex in the air whatever bugs
33. 8:39do when they're flying upstream and then they fall in the water where they were born basically lay eggs and die right but when they're
34. 8:47flying it's dark and and they fly like bats they're like really erratic and so so if you're in the middle of a stream
35. 8:55you just see what you think is a bat and then all of a sudden you get quat a big giant bug just like Lambs on your face
36. 9:03and was like trying to figure out what the hell just happened they're like walking around on your face and you're like Ah that's
37. 9:14terrifying oh man I have might have nightmares about those things went from Bugs to bats I was driving we were driving back we had a
38. 9:24Country House in Pennsylvania we were driving back one night and I saw a Dobson fly like walking up the a pillar
39. 9:31the little arm you know and I noticed it starting to crawl across the windshield they said I said honey you're about to
40. 9:38see a really big bug I need you not to scream so I wrecked the car and I just slowly pulled over and this thing walked
41. 9:45across they're nasty they're big old nasty things they're harmless but you know a face full of bug when it's just
42. 9:54getting dark out it's a little freaky [Music] since bugs and humans are native to Earth we have relatively similar experiences on a cosmic

49. 11:44the well there's limitations on sexual stuff but not on brands or uh or uh celebrities so I don't know that's it's
50. 11:57a really curious dilemma like what what do you what do you block what do you allow people to do and I I suppose it's
51. 12:04going to be that we start out more simply and then we work our way we work our way up huh anyway um so a couple of things
52. 12:13so today was day seven of open AI ship Miss they shipped um projects where you can upload files you can give it a custom prompt like a
53. 12:27system prompt and then you can include multiple chats in this project and then you can have a prompt in the project that takes all of
54. 12:38that other information into account which is really fascinating um how you add chats into the project I
55. 12:50like how come it I I have this uncanny ability when when it when when I get a new release of something the first thing
56. 12:59I want to try is always the thing that doesn't exist or or that's that's the one thing that's got a bug in it I I am
57. 13:07I have an uncanny record of finding a bug within five minutes of testing and it's always the thing that I think is the most obvious and the
58. 13:15engineers are like oh we didn't that seems to be an edge case I'm like it's not an edge case I'm not an edge case Okay people all right

72. 15:44so so the way a so the way a project works is you give it a name um then you can add files to it you can still do all
73. 15:52the stuff like pictures and canvas and upload files um the files you can add have to be uploaded so you can't give it
74. 16:04a URL but a hack I figured out is you can add a prompt you can add a chat that has a URL in it aren't I clever so I did a chat where
75. 16:19I said you know here's here's documentation for Luma Labs dream machine best practices now come up with
76. 16:26a prompt writer so I did a chat that's a prompt writing chat um and then I could upload files I could
77. 16:36upload custom instructions so the custom instructions might be act as a video Storyteller and when I ask
78. 16:55for narratives and clip ideas um be sure to
79. 17:09provide a video prompt based [Music] on the best practices
80. 17:25chat all right so that's my system instruction so you can you can have it behave a certain way so in theory so if I go to my
81. 17:35chat at the end of it I asked it to give me 10 um 10 prompts which it did so if I go back out here if I go in
82. 17:50here and I say um give me a three scene or thre shot story

88. 19:21video well that's rendering we can go look at some other Luma lab stuff I've done this was trying to get it to do

90. 19:45Luma lab's dream machine okay so so right now if you want to make video text to video there's a whole ton of tools so
91. 19:57if you go to the AI salon and go to the the show and tell area and go to videos there's a video tools
92. 20:16Tab and so Luma laabs dream machine is one of them Luma labs. cling Pika Halo Runway uh Kaa and now Sora so sora.com
93. 20:29needs to get added to this list it's just not in there right now um and and then there are there are a
94. 20:37number of open- source ones and I think there's even two or three more commercial ones that I don't have listed
95. 20:42here there's a lot of video tools right now so Luma lab's dream machine is just one of them so I just came here because I've
96. 20:50got I got into the creative partner program uh on dream machine which is nice um means I can make I can make
97. 21:02vies uh oh what happened generation failed what was that about oh wait where oh here we go that's not a Dobson

102. 22:12interface and let me scroll to the top of this thing this one I did for a civil war project where you start out you give it
103. 22:22a prompt and it makes a pile of images and then you can take any of those images and turn them into um um into uh
104. 22:31videos but you can also just iterate on the images like when you make a prompt it gives you it turns it into like this
105. 22:38Mad Libs kind of thing and so you just you know I want resilient looking soldiers and they're ready instead of
106. 22:45ready for battle they're ready for a skirmish and instead of soldiers well n not revolutionaries we'll keep it
107. 22:54soldiers and now we'll make them look undaunted and so this is a way to just really quickly come up with a bunch of uh a bunch of
108. 23:09ideas and then any one of these you can say make this a video and you can give it no prompt or some prompt and then it'll make a video for
109. 23:20you so that's lumabs lumabs is pretty cool all right um so back to AI Tik Tock pin does it need a scientific name it
110. 23:34could it could let's see um all right so here's the Dobson fly story um what uh let's see rewrite

161. 34:10the problem but anyway I can just add any chat to a project right so I can add it to Sydney think I can even drag and drop them
162. 34:22over can I did no can I no I can't so I can drag and drop it but it doesn't add it okay but then here's the here's the
163. 34:30real [ __ ] up thing so after two years of me complaining I I went personally to Sam alman's house and and that's why
164. 34:39there's a restraining order no I didn't do that that's a joke that's comedy for two years I've been asking for the
165. 34:45ability to search previous chats so you can do that now right so I can go in here and I can search for Sydney which is
166. 34:54great so here's all my Sydney chats great Ai and Bings capabilities perfect I want to add this chat I want to add this chat to my to my
167. 35:06Sydney notebook I I you you can't now I went into this chat but there's no way there's no way
168. 35:21for me to find where this is in the leftand side and there's no way for me to add this to to a project so so adding a
169. 35:32bunch of past chats into a project in chat GPT is impossible right now unless I unless I scroll through every single
170. 35:42chat that I've done for the past two years which I've got [ __ ] hundreds of them in here I I'll put in 20 or 30
171. 35:50chats sometimes a night on on one of these things so there's just it's just impossible so wait oh I just saw the

173. 36:09knows how to do that I think everyone's really racing to be the everything up it's it's so true I I mean it it really

177. 36:43a a chat from the search window into your project like that's a thing to me okay developers out there like how does that happen that
178. 36:54you've got you you add an item to the name of a a prompt that says add to project and then you have another model
179. 37:05that searches for the name of of chats how do you not connect those dots literal dots how do you not go oh we
180. 37:19should be able to add them from here too I assume it's because things are compartmentalized but they're a
181. 37:24relatively small company it shouldn't be that bad yet oh chat GPT needs an add mode it certainly does um all right [Music]

191. 39:09got people all hot and bothered about notebook LM was this audio overview that creates a podcast and so now apparently

305. 58:57book manuscript there as a file and then you have a system prompt and then basically you can just start chatting
306. 59:02with everything that's in that project um it's pretty slick but it's it's early days it it it it's clearly a new feature that is incomplete
