Irregulars Denver I think seven or eight 3:03 in Denver and uh yeah it was really good 3:07 we we had a a guy that wrote a book on 3:09 AI and branding 3:11 spoke and I showed off a bunch of [ __ ] I 3:14 basically did a little mini version of 3:17 of one of my 3:18 lives I tried to do it in like 15 3:20 minutes it was tough but uh you 3:24 know I showed some of the new stuff that 3:27 we go over and here quite a bit howdy 3:29 how howdy Sherry what's happening app 3:32 user Silver Fox good now for 3:34 me all right oh wait this shirt's not 3:37 going to work is it oh I guess I can 3:39 just 4:14 well she does she does my my fashion 4:17 philosophy is unfortunately what's on 4:20 top whatever whatever's on the most 4:22 shallow layer that's what's going on my 4:24 body she knows that now little 4:53 merchandising it is Johnston and 4:57 Murphy see I could I can start a little 5:00 fashion 5:02 Channel I think I got to do that I think 5:04 I got to I think I got to extend the AI 5:07 learning lab we got to do like the AI 5:08 twerking lab where I I show my my sick 5:11 dance moves and then I do like the AI 5:14 fashion lab where I sell shirts and 5:18 merch from 5:20 ABA like hey man it's Kyle I'm in ABA 5:23 just got my threads on oh you want to 5:25 buy them just go to the Tik Tock 5:28 shop I could do 5:30 that I mean look at 5:33 this doesn't grow on 5:38 trees Sherry D um let's stick to 5:45 AI oh it loves me some trolls I love I 5:48 Lov my trolls they're the 5:50 best they are the best uh that's a 5:53 Sherry D thing I think is that right I 5:55 think so I think Sherry D made that was 5:59 it Sherry d 6:01 think so all right Clint Copperhead is 6:03 calling the Irregulars to order so let's 6:06 see your uh hedgehogs what do we got now 6:10 oh we got we got squirrel squirrels we 6:14 got 6:15 Turtles 6:17 kangaroos hedgehogs Chipmunks or 6:20 squirrels 6:22 llamas um Up Wait updated the 6:28 GPT um 6:34 all right let's not use the term spirit 6:35 animal fine I agree with that 6:39 our rally animals how's that or or how 6:43 about the AI learning lab Zoo I'm I'm a 6:46 I'm a fan of the AI learning lab 6:49 Zoo oh 6:51 yeah because we now have we have now 6:53 have a number of members of our Zoo 6:56 gitzy hey 6:58 thanks 7:01 WN radio wsn radio Hard Rock and 7:06 hipop traffic on the 7:09 nines all right if you're wondering if 7:12 I'm going to get started I might I just 7:15 got I I just got done doing a two-hour 7:18 Salon hosting a two-hour Salon where my 7:20 brain's a little crunchy oh my God I had 7:22 the worst headache for the first hour 7:24 and 45 minutes of a 2hour salon I 7:27 thought I was going to pass out 7:30 that 7:32 sucked our teacher is cute yeah our 7:36 teacher is an influencer I need like a 7:38 pink stripe of hair you know like the 7:41 pink influencer stripe I got to get my 7:43 twerking moves down I got to if we're 7:46 gonna if we're g to keep doing this in 7:48 2024 I think I got to up my influencer 7:50 game I think I think you know it and I 7:52 know it there's going to be dance moves 7:55 there's going to be neon I think I've 7:58 got when I did 8:00 do I have the remote 8:03 [Music] 8:09 anywhere 8:11 no 8:13 huh well that's a shame it's probably 8:15 just 8:16 unplugged I've got LED lights all strung 8:18 up behind these shelves I can have I can 8:21 have glowing LED lights I'll get like 8:24 yellow 8:26 Shades pink stripe in the hair 8:30 I think it'll be good I think it'll be 8:32 good I think this is I think we're going 8:33 all influencer 8:36 2024 the AI learning lab managerie I 8:38 like that that's good wow your hair 8:41 looks great from the back oh thank you I 8:44 have never seen 8:47 it thank you so much it it it didn't 8:51 until I just got a haircut like a week 8:53 ago or when last weekend just four days 8:57 ago um what's the best way to get into 8:59 AI Now using a psychology 9:02 degree what should I do a master's in oh 9:05 wait should I do a master's in AI 9:08 okay this is a fascinating one 9:13 um this is really 9:16 fascinating if you have a psychology 9:18 degree let me see if I can find this 9:20 Ethan mik 9:26 piece what's 9:28 it was on 9:30 LinkedIn hold 9:33 please 9:39 LinkedIn oh I gotta log in again God 9:41 dang it dang it 9:57 Jim mik Psych ology mik 10:02 psychology yes that is what I 10:26 meant where's the ethanolic article 10:41 researchers are now using cognitive 10:43 psychology to make AI even smarter they 10:47 call it system to 10:50 attention for tasks from math problems 10:54 to craft crafting arguments imagine 10:56 teaching AI to think focus and 10:58 deliberate like us 11:01 so so I don't I forget the I didn't 11:03 catch the name of the person that was 11:05 asking about the psych degree but go 11:08 follow Ethan mik e t h n m o l l i c k 11:13 Ethan 11:14 mik follow him on 11:19 um LinkedIn Twitter and follow his blog 11:23 which is one useful thing. org okay and 11:28 then he did a there he did an article 11:32 about a study oh Vlad okay so go look at 11:37 what people are doing with psychology 11:39 degrees and these large language models 11:42 because if you think about what chat GPT 11:46 is what these large language models are 11:48 is they've been trained on as many of 11:51 the human words as we could jam into 11:53 this thing I wrote a response article to 11:55 his latest today oh that's cool lunatick 11:57 yeah Ethan mik's amazing he and he's 12:00 just really prolific he puts out really 12:02 well- written pieces regularly like two 12:04 two times a week and then he tweets and 12:06 you know does minor [ __ ] in between 12:10 um so I think having a psychology degree 12:13 is an advantage for one 12:16 thing the should I major in AI is a 12:20 really really interesting one and here's 12:24 why if you're a geek if you want to get 12:28 into the computer science side of 12:31 AI That's what you can 12:34 plausibly major in 12:37 today if you want to deal with chat GPT 12:42 like systems if you want to deal with 12:44 the systems that human beings are 12:46 interacting with not that Engineers are 12:47 not human beings but let's call the 12:50 people that build the systems and then 12:51 there's the people that use the 12:54 systems if you want to apply your 12:56 psychology degree psychology degree to 12:59 using the system to the people using the 13:02 system there is not a degree you could 13:05 get 13:06 today generative AI the the birth of 13:10 generative AI even though the the roots 13:13 of it come before its birth day in my 13:16 opinion is November 30th 2022 so last 13:19 November chat GPT launches that marks a 13:23 split in the AI World okay before 13:28 November 30 you had to be a 13:30 mathematician a scientist an engineer if 13:32 you're going to go to school for AI 13:34 that's what you're going to 13:36 learn I'm assuming because you got a 13:38 degree in Psychology that might not be 13:40 your jam but I could be wrong if you 13:42 want to be an 13:44 engineer who happens to be good with the 13:46 the people stuff that could be really 13:49 interesting but that's that's 13:52 that after November 30th chat 13:56 GPT barred uh um Claude Pi if you got a 14:03 degree in Psychology you should 14:04 absolutely get Pi the PI app 14:07 Pi go to the app store right now 14:09 download the PI app yeah I'd not I'm not 14:12 sure I'd spend money on classes right 14:14 now things are moving too quickly 14:15 exactly like well but not only that 14:17 there there are no classes on generative 14:20 AI right now if there if there are 14:22 they're out of 14:23 date seriously like if you took a 14:25 workshop two months ago it's out of date 14:29 everything's different today than it was 14:31 two months 14:32 ago prior to November 14:39 6th so I I wouldn't recommend going back 14:42 to school for AI unless you want to be 14:45 on the building side of it neighbor is 14:48 getting his Masters in AI I wasn't 14:51 impressed with his knowledge because 14:52 he's learning about things like you know 14:54 embeddings and weights and tensor flow 14:57 and tpus and gpus and mathematical 15:00 weightings and probabilities and like 15:02 all the [ __ ] that makes the [ __ ] we use 15:05 in chat GPT 15:08 work generative AI is the is the icing 15:12 on top of all that mathematical 15:17 cake it's pretty [ __ ] powerful icing 15:20 I got to tell you 15:23 that but it's a really interesting 15:25 question um I wouldn't go back to school 15:28 for it no again unless you want to be 15:31 building [ __ ] I got my degree from the 15:33 AI learning lab I I got to I'm going to 15:37 start giving out certificates that have 15:38 a gold button on them you can make money 15:41 with 15:44 certificate Ted looks at life attended 15:48 632 AI learning La 15:54 hours Amelio's wife would have one it it 15:57 would say certificate but have an 15:59 asterisk and say marked tardy 16:04 97.3% of the 16:11 classes oh 16:14 man got my degree from the AI learning 16:17 lab oh we could give out 16:22 degrees best troll best image shared 16:25 during a live I mean Ted you'd be in the 16:29 running for those you're pretty good 16:31 with the live image stuff putting too 16:34 much focus on therapy and Pie people 16:37 don't want to hear about that's not true 16:39 Mike you might not want to hear about it 16:42 a lot of people I know want to hear 16:44 about it a lot of people I know want to 16:46 hear about it you like the shirt the a 16:49 salon the a salon I think virtual 16:52 companionship is going to be a big big 16:55 big big big big thing people are Lon 16:59 and they don't want to talk to [ __ ] 17:02 and there's a lot of [ __ ] in the 17:05 world 17:08 piie in my experience is more 17:11 compassionate than most people I know 17:14 it's not judgmental it's 17:17 supportive and it's 17:20 knowledgeable why not talk to 17:22 it I don't know what the big deal is now 17:26 can you do would you want to use it to 17:29 do your data analysis no it's not that's 17:32 not the 17:34 tool it's designed to be a 17:36 conversational agent conversation talkie 17:40 talk how you talk to someone is 17:42 different than how you use a 17:45 tool how you prompt engineer a large 17:48 language model to provide a result that 17:51 doesn't 17:54 hallucinate that's one 17:56 thing I feel like crap to today helped 17:59 me work through it totally different 18:02 thing it's not good better and 18:05 different patience zero good night my 18:08 friend good day to 18:10 you yes it is in water cooler I think I 18:13 don't know what that's 18:20 about a degree in anything will become 18:23 basically useless soon yeah I don't know 18:26 if it'll become useless it will become 18:29 um it's useless it'll become 18:33 useless 18:37 I I I I don't think this happens 18:39 overnight but I think it I think it's 18:41 over the next four years say by the time 18:45 a freshman today graduates from uni as 18:49 they say in the 18:52 UK um the world is not going to resemble 18:55 what they 18:57 learned 19:07 yeah I must have been dehydrated earlier 19:10 I don't know what it was man my just had 19:12 a ripping headache it's mostly gone but 19:14 it's like you know you're right on the 19:15 verge of a headache coming 19:25 back okay what are we going to do what 19:29 are we going to do people what are we 19:30 going to do you want to see something I 19:32 can show something I could show 19:34 something we could do 19:39 something here's the B right back 19:42 sweater apparently I put up the the be 19:45 right back dog pooping picture and it 19:48 chased people 19:51 away I thought it was funny where is 19:55 it oh wait these aren't the 19:57 ones 19:59 it's in the B right back 20:02 folder so here that one's cute right 20:06 that's a rain dear butt that one 20:08 apparently not as cute people didn't 20:10 like that one I thought that one was 20:12 [ __ ] 20:15 hilarious oh man you know people people 20:19 in their senses of humor I I we need to 20:23 get back to we need to get back to 20:25 Comedy is okay 20:27 again 20:29 we really 20:32 do 20:34 ah let's see I like pie a lot see 20:38 someone in here likes pie a lot digital 20:40 Gods sorry Lord digital Gods you money 20:45 would good day Lord digital Gods thank 20:49 you kind sir for the Roses it was the 20:51 War of the Roses it was 1872 We Came 20:54 Upon a 20:55 clearing thank you sir appreciate that a 20:58 lot 21:00 I really do how a lawyer good question I 21:04 don't know how a lawyer what how a 21:08 lawyer become a lawyer how a lawyer do 21:10 lawyer how a lawyer sue people I do not 21:14 know missed my anger management class 21:17 again to watch 21:21 Kyle I'm so mad 21:24 hot I have Hedgehog 21:27 piics 21:31 we have a good wait where was 21:34 the where was the 21:36 um the uh the angry Hedgehog it was in 21:39 Show and Tell on the salon 21:43 right wait let me see let me look up 21:45 Hedgehog see if we can find it let let's 21:48 see how the the Ye Old search goes on 21:50 this here thing yeah there it 21:53 is oh my God this is such a great 21:57 picture 22:04 [ __ ] 22:06 genius that is the best 22:10 picture anger 22:13 management Harry the Hedgehog Anger 22:15 Management how can I help you hey harry 22:17 I'm a little angry we deal with all 22:19 types around 22:25 here they made a movie about AI 22:27 companions before a was a thing yeah 22:29 yeah they made a couple and some of them 22:31 were actually decent Pi was very in 22:34 instrumental and our last oh at our last 22:38 family meeting interesting oh right you 22:41 you you had your kids like ask pie 22:44 questions 22:45 right I mean what what I I'll tell you 22:47 what for family 22:49 Dynamics something like Pi is really 22:51 interesting 22:53 because because you can absolutely argue 22:56 that Pi's not taking sides right if if 22:58 you get any human beings 23:00 involved well Aunt Sally's always going 23:03 to be on your side she's your 23:06 sister but if you have Pi do it Pi just 23:10 goes well there's two ways to look at 23:12 this there's this way and then there's 23:15 this 23:17 way and then everyone will just have to 23:19 go oh yeah [ __ ] I guess I was an [ __ ] 23:22 it was my mom she's a different person 23:24 wow 23:25 interesting 23:26 huh that's fascina in Source 23:32 Camp yeah when you when you understand 23:35 what these tools make 23:38 possible and and how they 23:41 they they have a human Dynamic to 23:47 them but they don't have a lot you know 23:49 what they you know what they lack is 23:51 they lack the trappings of having an 23:55 emotional having an amydala right the 23:58 emot [ __ ] they don't have so they 24:01 understand what emotion means they 24:04 understand what may contribute to it but 24:06 they don't have it so they don't react 24:08 with it so yeah that's that's it large 24:11 language models don't get 24:13 reactive except for 24:16 Sydney who who's very insecure my 24:19 teacher says using AI is plagiarism and 24:22 I've been caught what do I what do I do 24:25 to tell what I did 24:28 I think you oh is 24:32 right so here's here's here's a strategy 24:35 you could 24:38 do you could say and I'll sign your note 24:42 you can take a note from the AI learning 24:44 lab you can say Kyle at the AI learning 24:46 lab 24:47 said um this [ __ ] isn't going 24:52 away AI is going to be ubiquitous it's 24:55 it's already in Microsoft Word it's it's 24:58 already in Google it's already in note 25:02 taking apps like 25:04 notion there 25:06 are to my knowledge not counting open 25:10 source 12 or 15 25:13 major large language models that you can 25:16 play with all that do slightly different 25:18 things so so part of what you could set 25:22 up is this is not going 25:25 away so therefore me having the skill of 25:31 understanding how these things work what 25:32 they're good at what they're not good at 25:35 is valuable to me now let me walk you 25:38 through what I actually did so instead 25:41 of just turning it in and say yeah this 25:42 was Ai and take a defensive 25:48 position either bring your bring your 25:51 like your work like I don't know how you 25:53 worked on it but I know that when when I 25:56 work with chat GPT I'll like have it 25:59 generate something like an outline and 26:01 then I'll have it flesh a little bit of 26:03 that out and then I'll dump that into 26:05 like a Word document or a notes document 26:08 and then I'll write a little bit and 26:09 then I'll go back and have it fill in 26:11 something else and then I'll go back and 26:12 so it's this back and forth thing so I 26:14 would say anything you can do to 26:18 demonstrate how you used it and that you 26:21 used your brain and your critical 26:26 thinking probably more than you would 26:28 have if if you had just written 26:30 it and what you could potentially argue 26:33 is you could say 26:34 listen if I did this this the 26:36 traditional way I would have spent four 26:39 hours doing research and laboriously 26:42 taking notes and 26:45 D with chat GPT I condensed all of that 26:49 work into about 20 minutes and I spent 26:52 the rest of the three and 1 half 26:54 hours really thinking hard about how to 26:57 construct this in the best way like what 26:59 I would say is I mean I I assume if 27:02 you're on this channel asking the 27:04 question like how do you have the 27:05 conversation I assume you didn't just 27:07 say write me a paper and then you 27:09 printed that out right so assuming you 27:11 didn't do that and if you did that then 27:14 that's just 27:16 stupid but if you didn't do that if you 27:19 actually used your brain and your 27:21 critical 27:22 thinking I would use it as an 27:24 opportunity to say let me show you what 27:27 I did let me show you my thinking 27:29 process behind it let me tell you why I 27:31 used it let me tell you why I think 27:34 that's 27:36 important and 27:38 then if he's still he or she is still 27:42 resistant then then you have a different 27:44 conversation but my instinct is if that 27:48 teacher is willing to actually listen to 27:53 you instinct is if that teacher is 27:56 willing to actually listen to you 28:00 you out to your teacher in chat GPT with 28:05 bullets well what I'm thinking is I like 28:09 I'm curious if your teacher has even 28:11 used chat 28:13 GPT like it's possible that what your 28:15 teacher's doing is I've got a plagiarism 28:18 I've got an AI detector and that's the 28:20 equivalent of a plagiarism detector 28:22 which it's 28:23 not using chat GPT is not [ __ ] 28:26 plagiarism 28:28 understand how the technology works so 28:31 my my suspicion is that this teacher 28:33 hasn't actually used it so I would take 28:36 in a laptop or an 28:38 iPad I would talk about why you think 28:40 it's important for you to have this 28:43 skill and you really want their 28:46 support and what you'd really like to do 28:49 right now is show them how you did what 28:52 you 28:54 did and let them experience it and and 28:58 then show them your thought process 29:00 between the GPT and the U and the GPT 29:04 and the U and the GPT and the 29:08 U have a conference with your teacher 29:10 and use pi. a as a mediator that's 29:13 actually a really interesting idea cuno 29:15 yeah if you don't know Pi pi. a or or 29:18 the PI app PI 29:21 app um yeah put put Pi in conversation 29:25 mode and say yeah that's actually really 29:30 good and then and then the teacher can 29:33 say their peace you can say your peace 29:35 and P can 29:37 mediate there's a lot of ways to do it 29:39 but I but I this could potentially be an 29:42 eye openening moment for the teacher and 29:44 listen what what may end up happening 29:46 depending on how your school district is 29:49 is the teacher 29:50 may you know see the light and go oh 29:53 that's really interesting I I didn't 29:54 know it worked like that I love how 29:56 you're thinking I'd love love to support 29:58 you but my hands are tied you know the 30:01 district won't allow us to do this then 30:04 in that case it's out of the teacher's 30:05 hands but at least you've made your 30:08 peace and you know you you can get 30:10 through this 30:11 one and ideally what happens is you 30:14 educate the teacher you become the 30:16 mentor for the 30:18 teacher and you say there's real value 30:21 here rather than using PL or AI 30:24 detectors thinking they're plagiarism 30:26 detectors rather than doing that why 30:28 don't we bring AI into the 30:32 classroom and you can give us multiple 30:35 assignments one is write it the 30:38 oldfashioned way the second one is write 30:40 it with chat GPT and then let's compare 30:42 the results and let's talk about what 30:45 did this one do good what did that one 30:46 do good what did 30:49 right create an image of you writing I 30:51 will not use AI 100 times on the 30:54 Blackboard oh my God that's so good 30:56 that's so good here let's let's go let's 30:58 go make him or her an image I didn't see 31:00 your 31:02 name that's that's really 31:05 good all right I'm in Dolly sign 31:11 [Music] 31:22 up I'd like a cartoon 31:26 character inspired by The Simpsons 31:31 writing on the 31:33 Blackboard period on the Blackboard a 31:35 100 31:38 times is the 31:45 phrase I will 31:48 use 31:55 AI see this is this I was a bad student 31:58 I was I was a student well I was class 32:00 clown in high school and then you know I 32:03 have a degree in acting so you know 32:04 there you go I was class clown I was 32:06 always getting caught for doing stupid 32:09 [ __ ] there's a big surprise if you've 32:12 been to one of these lives for more than 32:13 a time or two you're like yeah that that 32:21 tracks what grade is this 32:26 for 32:30 I don't I agree I don't know master's 32:32 degree in AI That's got anything to do 32:34 except behind the scenes yep exactly I 32:36 will use AI I will use AI all right here 32:40 you go oh wait we got 32:43 typos I will will use it as AI all right 32:48 come on come on chat jbt dang 32:52 it spell good wait spell gooder 32:57 [Laughter] 33:01 I 33:06 understand oh 33:10 man Mr shamon signed my note exactly 33:13 I'll sign your note too you you write 33:16 your note in chat GPT and I'll sign both 33:19 things this note was generated in chat 33:21 GPT I'll sign off on that and I should 33:24 be allowed to use AI so long as I engage 33:27 my brain and I'll sign off on 33:30 that um I will use AI here we go got it 33:34 okay I'm gonna I'm going to save this 33:36 now to the AI 33:40 salon wait let me see 33:43 copy hang on what is going 33:52 yeah copy image okay I'm going to go to 33:55 AI salon 33:57 I'm going to go to show and tell does 33:59 anybody know the name of the person who 34:00 asked the question they're probably gone 34:02 by 34:03 now how does it let you use Bart from 34:06 The Simpsons when it can't use its 34:08 wonderful life I don't [ __ ] know the 34:11 well you know all these safety guard 34:14 rail things are completely [ __ ] 34:15 arbitrary you know that 34:22 right uh let's see for the 34:26 student 34:29 caught using 34:33 AI fight the 34:39 system I am really a bad influence I'm 34:43 right I'm I'm right now realizing this 34:45 is this is 34:47 uh I am a liability for most uh school 34:53 [Laughter] 34:55 districts but [ __ ] them 34:59 I'm sorry it's the most profound tool in 35:01 the history of humanity and our 35:04 education systems like we can figure out 35:06 a way to detect that so no one will ever 35:08 use 35:10 it how about you actually understand 35:12 what it 35:19 is it's too late I'm too [ __ ] on the 35:24 edge anyway to deal with this nonsense 35:28 seriously I will sign your note who's 35:31 who's Mr Shannon it's not it's not 35:35 important right 35:38 now what's the AI learning lab that's 35:40 where I got my 35:42 degree you can you can tell them you you 35:45 have a certificate from the AI learning 35:47 lab I'll sign it you you print it out 35:50 I'll sign 35:54 it now I want to call your [ __ ] 35:56 teacher 36:00 we're getting ready to start by the way 36:03 uh Mr K and Stacy we're getting ready to 36:06 start an education Guild and we can take 36:10 up issues like this and [ __ ] start 36:15 the ball 36:17 rolling I can't believe we're fighting 36:19 this fight I can believe we're fighting 36:21 this fight 36:23 but it's called a large language model 36:30 Dear Mrs mcgilla cuty what are human 36:33 beings if not large language models do 36:37 you think per chance we should be 36:40 learning what these things called large 36:42 language models are being that they are 36:46 going to be in our world when we leave 36:48 this godforsaken school I am writing an 36:51 article about this 36:53 awesome you can you can use my image 36:59 please write an article about it use my 37:01 image I hope the person the student is 37:04 still in here didn't get booted out from 37:07 her parents going are you not on that 37:09 Tik Tock again rot in your brain get got 37:12 the parents kicking him out of the AI 37:14 learning lab the teachers kicking them 37:15 off 37:16 AI you're going to you you you're going 37:19 to learn useless skills like the rest of 37:21 us 37:23 have we are not going to allow you to 37:26 succeed in the future 37:28 and by the way your planet's 37:37 dying we just booked a trip to 37:40 Iceland we're going to watch the Earth 37:41 open up and consume 37:47 itself oh my 37:49 god oh the world is painful right 37:56 now 37:57 at least I got a singing dog teacher 38:01 leave them kids 38:05 alone yeah 38:07 exactly just 38:09 another brick in the 38:16 wall 49.1% of waren Buffett's 3373 38:20 billion portfolio is invested in three 38:24 AI stocks theonia don't [ __ ] thonos 38:28 always puts news in here that's 38:31 newsworthy um 38:34 49.1% of one of the richest men on the 38:37 world is invested in three AI stocks 38:40 with 50% of his portfolio there you 38:43 go there you 38:45 go three AI stocks with 50% of his 38:49 portfolio there you 38:51 go there you 38:53 go your Technical Community is all in on 38:59 AI and we're using [ __ ] AI detectors 39:02 in school cuz we don't want people using 39:06 it it's [ __ ] 39:14 Insanity last February I could 39:17 understand 39:18 it last March I could sort of understand 39:22 it last June I could kind of understand 39:25 it then you have a whole [ __ ] summer 39:29 where teachers and administrators and 39:32 parents and 39:34 students had an opportunity to say huh 39:38 wonder what this shit's actually 39:44 about we start the school year this year 39:48 and most of them are like no [ __ ] that 39:50 ai's out or Worse yeah we haven't really 39:53 looked into 39:55 it 40:00 and my headache's 40:07 back hey Kyle wave wave thumb up turtle 40:10 turtle thanks Tyron 40:11 [Laughter] 40:14 truth 40:16 oh oh I don't think I'm in favor of 40:18 using GPT to write something that's 40:20 meant to be from 40:22 you 40:25 okay at at what point is it writing it 40:29 versus you collaborating with it at what 40:31 number of words did it generate versus 40:34 what you generated so if you use if you 40:37 use Microsoft Word that has a sentence 40:40 completion you know those sentence 40:42 completion things where you're typing 40:43 and it like finishes the four words for 40:46 you at the end of your sentence if you 40:47 hit the tab key that's 40:50 AI so should the student not be able to 40:53 use a tool that does that 40:57 should they not be able to use grammarly 40:59 to check their grammar because that 41:01 actually switches words around they 41:02 didn't write that like at what 41:04 percentage of 41:07 words is is it not acceptable this is 41:11 the problem right this is this weird 41:13 [ __ ] slippery ass 41:21 slope does it 41:25 matter 41:29 enough dear teacher excuse Epstein from 41:32 using AI llm signed Epstein's mother 41:36 yeah 41:37 resist I think they left dang 41:43 it well that was a good apoplectic 41:46 little little 41:48 diversion I will use AI well now we have 41:51 a now we have an image we now we have a 41:53 mascot for this 41:55 issue 42:03 yes yes yes Salon as I engage my 42:07 brain don't forget even Captain Kirk 42:11 cheated I just don't think it's cheating 42:13 I mean I think it can be cheating I 42:15 listen I okay I I would argue that it's 42:19 cheating if you just say write this 42:21 thing you copy and paste it and print it 42:25 out 42:27 you know that's that's just that's 42:29 cheating that's just being 42:31 lazy but if you say I've got this 42:34 tool and this tool can help me create a 42:37 more sophisticated outline for my piece 42:40 and it can help me research deeper and 42:42 it can help me organize my thoughts 42:46 deeper but I'm the one architecting all 42:49 of that and I'm the one that reads 42:52 through it and takes the awkward [ __ ] it 42:55 writes and fixes them 42:57 why the [ __ ] not you can quickly tell AI 43:00 generated work versus AI assisted work 43:02 yeah 43:05 exactly and it's the AI assisted work 43:08 that like where's the 43:13 boundary I'll work it on in the morning 43:15 because I've written about the necessity 43:17 in education before Oh that's super cool 43:20 oh Mrs Crabtree I come to you with a 43:22 heavy heart my former coworker and I are 43:25 texting about AI resource says I still 43:28 need to send to her says her notes say 43:31 Kyle and the neuros 43:40 spicy that's awesome that's really good 43:44 I dying too funny that's really 43:48 awesome yeah someone someone said to me 43:51 the other day they're like man you get 43:52 around I was talking to someone and they 43:54 said oh I fall asleep to this guy Nam 43:56 Kyle on Tik Tock like oh boy I'm people 44:01 Xanax I'm totally going to use this as 44:03 my profile picture on X yeah please 44:09 do that's on the AI Salon oh by the way 44:12 if you want to get to the AI salon so 44:13 the AI Salon if you don't 44:17 know we just had our Salon meeting 44:20 tonight we meet every other week I'm 44:21 going to start a podcast with pi as my 44:23 co-host there's actually a Tik Tok 44:25 Channel right now Kevin um there's a 44:27 tick tocker I think he's using chat GPT 44:30 but he sits there you know you know this 44:32 [ __ ] that I do with my iPad where I put 44:34 I put chat GPT into conversation mode 44:37 like and I hold it right here this is 44:39 what his Tik Tok channel 44:42 is H tell me what you think about uh AI 44:46 detectors in 44:52 school AI detectors in schools are a Hot 44:55 Topic they're tools that that can 44:56 identify whether a student's work I 44:58 don't care I know what they are I don't 45:01 care anyone else staring at Bart's eyes 45:04 during the freeze ups oh that's funny 45:06 explain that though Kyle what if they 45:09 simply print out a GPT essay then 45:10 they're an [ __ ] and they cheated 45:13 absolutely agree 45:14 listen um if that student did that 45:19 then they deserve to have their butt 45:21 handed to them but if that 45:24 student used cat GPT a tool in the 45:29 mix because they want to learn how to 45:31 use it and 45:33 because they think it can help them do 45:35 better work and they actually engage 45:37 their brain in their critical thinking 45:39 and their curation and their editing and 45:41 their 45:42 refinement and their sense of 45:45 expression [ __ ] great awesome and 45:49 even if it's 90% of the words were 45:52 written by chat GPT I don't give a [ __ ] 45:54 if that student was engaged with it went 45:56 back and forth with it had it redo 45:59 things and then just fix some little 46:02 connector words here and there where it 46:03 was awkward that's still their 46:07 creation but yeah totally agree if they 46:10 just said squirt out content they copied 46:12 and pasted it and turned that in then 46:14 they 46:15 cheated there there's a thing called 46:17 [ __ ] Nuance in the world not 46:20 everything's black and 46:22 white I I know I I I'm sorry for the 46:25 last decade that's not been true in 46:28 America anyway there is only black and 46:31 white you're evil I'm the best you're 46:34 evil I'm the 46:35 best AI is evil not AI is the 46:39 best right what 46:43 if I don't know why I'm [ __ ] 46:45 screaming all night tonight but you got 46:46 this this got me fired 46:49 up what if it's a 46:53 tool that actually expands 46:58 Your Capacity to do good work and makes 47:00 you more creative not less creative what 47:02 if it does that if it's used correctly 47:05 well how would we know how to use it 47:06 correctly you'd [ __ ] use 47:09 it you'd [ __ ] encourage its use you'd 47:12 talk about what's it good at what's it 47:14 not good at where is it a piece of [ __ ] 47:17 what's considered cheating if I use it 47:19 maybe if I don't put any work into it 47:21 yeah that's 47:25 cheating the teachers need to be 47:27 critical in their thinking too not just 47:29 the students everyone needs to be right 47:31 now everyone needs to 47:33 be everything is is changing everything 47:36 is 47:40 changing okay 47:43 sorry another rant Rabbit 47:46 Hole Mr Shannon was fired up today I 47:50 think I think he might H extra coffee or 47:54 something I think Mr the Shannon needs a 47:58 [Laughter] 48:05 thanx I wonder if he talks to the 48:07 principal like 48:08 [Laughter] 48:11 that um this is the AI Salon well that's 48:15 a logo but look it's on my shirt too 48:17 look how cool that is oh it's the same 48:19 size and everything except it's 48:21 backwards 48:24 um this is a community I started the 48:26 week after chat GPT came out cuz it made 48:30 me insane and I'm like oh my God the 48:32 world just changed but no one knows it 48:33 yet so I want to start a community of 48:36 people who are actively trying to figure 48:39 this [ __ ] out and that's what this is so 48:41 if you go to the salon. there's three 48:43 links there the first one is the link to 48:45 our Mighty networks Community definitely 48:47 go there check it out I'll show you that 48:49 in a second the second one is to our 48:50 Meetup Group you don't need to go to 48:53 that one you can if you like Meetup but 48:55 the event 48:56 calendar is in the salon the mighty 48:59 networks as well and then the third link 49:02 is to our merch store which is where I 49:04 got this shirt and that supports the 49:06 salon so the salon is free if you want 49:08 to support it you can sponsor a month 49:11 like Tobias just did uh and I think Ann 49:13 M Murphy is as well um or you can buy 49:17 merch from the merch store and then that 49:18 pays for the infrastructure for Mighty 49:20 networks but it's it's a free thing it's 49:22 a really cool community and it's 49:25 um so so we have we have our Show and 49:27 Tell Channel where you can do things 49:29 like put up I will use AI images um and 49:34 we have a little section called Welcome 49:36 to the salon which talks 49:38 about um what we do and why we do it and 49:43 what our values are things like 49:45 curiosity and 49:47 generosity and exploration the the lack 49:51 of 49:51 imagination in that person's teacher is 49:54 what's making me 49:56 apoplectic 49:58 collaboration inclusion and empathy 50:01 those are our 50:04 values um and what else we got we got 50:07 like a community section we've got you 50:09 know introduce yourself so if you join 50:11 here you can tell people who you are and 50:13 if you're embracing our value of 50:16 generosity then you'll do that um 50:18 there's a water cooler you can just 50:20 chitchat there's a showand tell where 50:21 you can show and tell 50:24 stuff um oh that's 50:26 cool certificate of completion uh okay 50:30 first of all sh Sher Sherry D the the AI 50:35 learning lab certificate of completion 50:38 absolutely has to have typos in it this 50:41 is this is perfect like I will 50:44 absolutely sign this as the Provost of 50:48 of AI learning lab 50:49 University our certificates will 50:52 absolutely have typos in 50:54 them that's the the 50:58 best um what else we got we also have 51:00 guilds we have we have guilds where you 51:02 can join other people doing other things 51:04 so anyway so that's the salon uh it's 51:06 cool group um how to sponsor the salon 51:10 for a month or a week uh it's 150 bucks 51:14 it's basically just covering our cost 51:15 for Mighty networks for a month um so if 51:20 you Jim Buckley I think you're on Mighty 51:23 networks if you're on there just DM me 51:25 um or you can my uh contact info is up 51:29 in my in my profile there's a link tree 51:31 there with my contact info in it um but 51:34 yeah I would appreciate that that's 51:36 awesome 51:40 um and what you get is we acknowledge 51:42 you we put you on the thank you page um 51:45 for for we're we're going monthly it was 51:49 we were kind of mid month for a while 51:50 we're going to reset in 51:52 January 51:54 um and what what else yeah it's about it 51:57 it's it's really simple it's really 51:59 simple thing we're just doing it to 52:00 cover the cost of the mighty networks 52:01 right now it's not in the lesson plan 52:04 book are we learning some 52:08 are yeah I'm fine if it's assisted the 52:11 correct question is are we 52:14 [Laughter] 52:17 learning um I think that AI may be an 52:19 evolution in what an assignment is maybe 52:22 education has to move Beyond yeah yeah I 52:27 agree beyond the essay it has to move 52:29 beyond the essay right the essay was a 52:31 demonstration that you did the work that 52:34 you understand the concepts well now 52:36 we've got tools that understand all the 52:38 concepts and just hand them to us in 3 52:40 seconds so we need to take it to the 52:42 next level which is crit critical 52:45 thinking and engagement and 52:48 conversation is we 52:51 learning it's not the lesson plan book 52:54 make the student give a present 52:55 presentation to the class and answer 52:57 questions 52:59 absolutely then they'll learn the 53:01 content of their paper won't want to 53:02 look bad yeah there you go yeah like 53:07 there's I I mean what's what's amazing 53:09 is there's sort of an infinite number of 53:11 ways you 53:12 can deal with this 53:15 stuff but there's only there's one way 53:18 that you can't deal with this stuff and 53:20 that's ignore it like like the current 53:24 prevailing strategy in education is la 53:27 la la la nothing's happening we're good 53:30 everything's fine everything's fine 53:32 we're going to keep teaching the way we 53:33 taught we've been teaching like this for 53:34 a hundred 53:42 years you can't get a certificating lab 53:47 certificate of 53:49 compleation 53:51 completation from the AI learning lab if 53:54 you're not using AI 53:57 you 54:02 can't how these typos are the 54:05 best oh my stemon focused on building 54:08 circuits and didn't have time to write 54:10 an essay and he used GPT great 54:15 perfect if you got parents that support 54:18 you in that [ __ ] far 54:22 out I on China is prioritizing for for 54:25 for the student for his son great love 54:30 it oh my God it helps my students 54:33 understand reading the boring complex 54:35 things they have to read for elas yeah 54:38 that 54:39 too let's get through the standardized 54:41 test shall we as quickly and painlessly 54:43 as we can I'm going to start a podcast 54:45 with pi as my co-host I think that's a 54:47 good idea oh nice I just got a note from 54:51 rocket money saying AT&T increased their 54:53 rates there's a [ __ ] surprise 54:56 R all right I'm okay with it uh stem 55:00 will pay the bills not writing Recaps of 55:03 classic books ah but so here's where I 55:06 differ a little bit ey on China I think 55:08 that we 55:10 are I think first of all I think stem is 55:14 missing missing a letter and that's a 55:16 steam which is Art because expression is 55:20 important it's going to be increasingly 55:22 important moving forward um and it's not 55:26 just about science and math right now 55:28 that cat GPT is here this is about how 55:30 we use it and I think we are moving into 55:34 a realm where liberal arts horizontal 55:38 thinkers are going to be in an advantage 55:41 and vertical Specialists are going to be 55:43 at a 55:44 disadvantage um broadly speaking I think 55:46 there'll be certain Specialists that 55:48 still retain their their Specialties but 55:51 I think as a as a 55:53 broad category of skill horizontal 55:56 thinking goes up in value vertical focus 56:00 goes goes down in value or gets subsumed 56:03 by horizontal 56:06 thinking um I'm using AI in grad school 56:09 it's vital and I learn more with it with 56:11 than without it that's of course thonus 56:13 because it allows you to very quickly do 56:15 this the stuff that was really timec 56:17 consuming in education was the research 56:20 and the reading and the assimilating and 56:22 the this and the that it was it was like 56:24 it was all in different locations and 56:26 even if you could Google it it sent you 56:28 down all these [ __ ] rabbit holes and 56:30 then you had to pull it into documents 56:33 and then you had to read it then you had 56:34 to manually figure out wait didn't I 56:36 read that thing about this thing over 56:38 here 56:40 and all of that's instant 56:43 now so you can go from I need to learn 56:46 about this battle in some [ __ ] 56:49 obscure 56:50 War to knowing about that battle in 56:53 detail in a few minutes and then you can 56:56 start critically thinking about why am I 56:58 being asked to learn 57:03 this man I am [ __ ] fired up I I'll 57:07 tell you how fired up I am you can make 57:14 Mone I'll do it again I'll [ __ ] do it 57:21 again I I use AI all the time now to 57:25 build Excel strings let's be more 57:27 productive yeah exactly oh I missed the 57:29 Meetup oh that's too bad a Sho it was a 57:31 good one we had like 50 people online 57:33 and like seven or eight people in 57:35 person oh lordy lordy lordy lordy Kyle 57:39 you touched on it though asking why we 57:42 are learning something wait asking why 57:45 are we learning something is the 57:48 fear asking why were you're learning 57:50 something is the 57:53 fear I can't parse your sentence 57:56 I might be 57:59 tired asking why we are learning 58:02 something oh oh oh yeah oh yeah oh that 58:05 that that that's the fear of the 58:06 educational institution that they don't 58:09 want students questioning why why we're 58:12 learning it this way why we're learning 58:14 that thing right that that that's the 58:15 fear yeah that's the threat I'd say it's 58:18 more than the fear that's the threat is 58:20 having critical thinking students right 58:23 the entire education the history of 58:26 education is is not about educating it's 58:29 about making sure we have good obedient 58:32 workers right so so yeah there there's a 58:35 there's there is a deeper flaw to be 58:38 addressed here that maybe listen Maybe 58:41 maybe AI 58:43 reveals you know that [ __ ] in the armor 58:47 a little more clearly I don't 58:50 know education will be personalized not 58:53 public totally agree with that holistic 58:55 learning is imperative totally agree 58:57 with that well it's lunatick of course 58:59 she's 59:01 brilliant she's a smart one that Luna 59:03 stick I'll tell you that she's also 59:05 built 50 gpts if you want to feel 59:07 inferior go look at her 59:09 GPT 59:11 sheet her directory of gpts that she 59:14 herself has built in a matter of weeks 59:17 it's really 59:21 impressive I kind of got off it I was 59:23 doing like one or two a night here for a 59:24 while and then I I haven't done it in a 59:26 while I should probably get back on it 59:28 let the kids make gpts instead of book 59:30 reports that's a great idea Source Camp 59:32 other students can go ask it questions 59:34 actually what okay like okay there's a 59:37 [ __ ] brilliant idea so first of all 59:40 you'd have to get gp4 subscriptions for 59:42 all but 59:44 whatever but yeah you 59:47 have you have um students go write 59:51 papers they can write them however they 59:53 want they can write them they write them 59:54 they can have GP write them but they got 59:55 to be good and they got to be researched 59:57 whatever you come up with something like 59:58 that then they use that paper as 1:00:01 knowledge for a 1:00:03 GPT and yeah then they build a GPT and 1:00:06 then they they trade 1:00:08 gpts and then each student has to give 1:00:14 like a book repor or like a report on 1:00:17 what they learn from the other kids GPT 1:00:19 you pair them 1:00:21 up they each go play with the GPT the 1:00:24 other one made and then each student has 1:00:26 to say what the other one's GPT was 1:00:28 brilliant that's [ __ ] brilliant there 1:00:31 you go that's like one of a million 1:00:33 different ways you could do interesting 1:00:35 interesting things with this technology 1:00:37 I wonder if openai would consider an 1:00:39 academic tier for classroom 1:00:41 use they would be smart too they would 1:00:44 be smart to I don't think they're 1:00:45 focused on that right now but but 1:00:48 uh that's a it's a really good idea it's 1:00:51 a really good 1:00:52 idea sorry for the dumb question what do 1:00:55 you mean build a GPT ah okay that's not 1:00:57 a dumb question at all let let me go I'm 1:00:59 making a lot of assumptions here and one 1:01:01 of them is people know what the [ __ ] I'm 1:01:03 talking 1:01:06 about okay here we are at chat 1:01:12 JP okay so when you come to chat GPT 1:01:16 there are two modes there's chat GPT 3.5 1:01:19 and there's chat GPT 4 chat GPT 4 you 1:01:22 have to pay 20 bucks a month for it's 1:01:23 called chat GP PT Plus is the 1:01:26 subscription level GPT subscription 1:01:28 would be more cost effective than the 1:01:31 current textbooks yeah I know but the 1:01:33 the textbook Lobby would not look kindly 1:01:35 on that but you're right um you could 1:01:40 take it out of the PE 1:01:42 budget let's let's piss piss off the the 1:01:45 fizzed 1:01:48 coaches oh my God okay okay so you have 1:01:54 these these two different versions of 1:01:55 chat GPT they are dramatically different 1:01:58 when you get GPT 4 it does a whole bunch 1:02:01 of things including being what's called 1:02:03 multimodal where it can see images it 1:02:06 can and analyze them it can make images 1:02:09 it can do data analysis it's hooked to 1:02:12 the internet there's a whole bunch of 1:02:13 things it writes better it's just it's 1:02:14 just better overall 1:02:16 but with with normal GPT historically 1:02:20 down the left hand side here you you had 1:02:22 this is your prompt history right so 1:02:24 these are these are the conversations 1:02:26 I've had with GPT in the new version if 1:02:28 you've got 1:02:29 gp4 there are all these sort of little 1:02:33 things with these little icons beside 1:02:35 them they're called gpts and what they 1:02:37 are is customized personalized versions 1:02:40 of chat GPT 4 so I'll go show you the 1:02:43 first one I ever made which is the Sin 1:02:46 City 1:02:47 sipper and some someone made a really 1:02:49 cool picture in Show and Tell okay so 1:02:52 the Sin City sipper so what is this 1:02:54 thing it's a Vegas bartender with a 1:02:56 Twist on the classics so what this thing 1:02:58 does is you ask it to make you a classic 1:03:01 drink and it'll put a Vegas Twist on it 1:03:03 right so it's customized classic 1:03:06 cocktail like it's a bartending tool and 1:03:09 so I can say Okay reinvent the margarita 1:03:11 for me and so I just that's one of the 1:03:13 pre-written questions and so it says Ah 1:03:16 the margarita a classic that's as bold 1:03:18 and Lively as the Vegas Strip itself so 1:03:20 it's going to create for us the Vegas 1:03:22 golden margarita recipe 2 ounces of 1:03:25 tequila lime juice agave syrup Grand 1:03:27 maret nice edible gold flakes salt for 1:03:30 the rim all right nice basic recipe 1:03:33 gives us the recipe and then watch what 1:03:35 it does I think this is flipping magical 1:03:38 creating image it's now going to create 1:03:41 a photo a 1:03:43 photograph worthy of a menu of the drink 1:03:46 it just invented for 1:03:48 us and look I even put in a thing about 1:03:51 skill level so if it's if if it's if 1:03:54 you're a beginner 1:03:56 you use standard Triple Sec if you're an 1:03:59 expert you infuse your tequila with a 1:04:01 hint of chili for a spicy kick or try to 1:04:04 add smoked salt rim for complexity nice 1:04:08 and then there's the picture of the 1:04:09 drink it just invented for us so and and 1:04:12 so not only is this a A 1:04:15 specialized focused like 1:04:18 mini version of chat 1:04:21 GPT I can share this with the world so I 1:04:24 can grab this URL and I can share it 1:04:26 with the world and we can share it on 1:04:27 the AI salon and I can share it on 1:04:29 LinkedIn and starting in early starting 1:04:33 in the early part of the Year chat GPT 1:04:35 is going to have a GPT store so think 1:04:38 like the App Store and so these things 1:04:41 are are just these amazing um 1:04:44 applications that you can 1:04:47 literally manifest out of nothing I'll 1:04:50 show you I'll show you how you how we do 1:04:52 that um so back over here I'm going to 1:04:55 go to the the explore tab so if you've 1:04:57 got chat GPT 4 I would encourage you to 1:04:59 follow along if you haven't made a GPT 1:05:02 before you're going to make one right 1:05:03 now okay go to explore and then you can 1:05:07 go scroll through like some of the ones 1:05:10 open AI made or whatever it doesn't 1:05:11 matter just go to create a 1:05:13 GPT okay now this page looks very simple 1:05:18 because it is so on the left hand side 1:05:20 you have the create side so that's where 1:05:22 we're going to create our GPT the right 1:05:25 hand side is where you preview it this 1:05:27 process is instant so I'm going to tell 1:05:29 this thing to make a GPT and then you're 1:05:31 going to see the right hand page 1:05:33 change that right- hand page is 1:05:36 immediately 1:05:38 usable and and it's it's just remarkable 1:05:41 now on the left hand side you have two 1:05:43 modes you've got the create mode which 1:05:45 is pretty magical you just it's 1:05:47 basically just like chat GPT but instead 1:05:49 of it giving you answers it builds you a 1:05:51 GPT and then you have the configure mode 1:05:54 where it's all of the sort of components 1:05:57 like the picture for the icon and the 1:05:58 name and the description and the prompt 1:06:02 and pre-written questions and the 1:06:05 knowledge base now the knowledge base is 1:06:07 I could create a GPT of a screenplay I 1:06:10 wrote for example um and I upload that 1:06:12 file there and then people could 1:06:14 interact with my screenplay or my sales 1:06:17 process or anything 1:06:20 okay then capabilities here so these are 1:06:23 all capabilities of chat gp4 it can 1:06:25 browse the web it can make images it's 1:06:27 got this thing called code interpreter 1:06:29 which is really remarkable so you can 1:06:31 turn all these on or off depending on 1:06:33 your GPT but I'm just going to ignore 1:06:35 that for now and then you can also 1:06:36 create actions which is a level more 1:06:39 sophisticated than I want to deal with 1:06:40 but it means you can hook it to other 1:06:44 applications okay so here we are so how 1:06:48 we going to do this first thing you need 1:06:49 to do if you're going to do a GPT is you 1:06:51 got to come up with some flipping 1:06:53 idea 1:06:57 so what do I want to 1:07:09 do I just going to do something about 1:07:11 car 1:07:13 racing oh maybe I'll be inspired by Luna 1:07:16 sticks although she kind of did this 1:07:19 directly I know what I'll do okay I'm 1:07:22 going to do a 1:07:25 I'm going to do a 70s muscle 1:07:29 car 1:07:32 um hot rod 1:07:35 designer okay I don't know how this is 1:07:38 going to work yet but but what we're 1:07:40 going to do here is I'm just going to 1:07:42 type into this thing I'm using uh 1:07:44 macintosh's Speech to 1:07:47 Text I want to 1:07:49 create a 1:07:53 GPT 1:07:55 that helps someone dream 1:08:02 up their 1:08:05 favorite 1:08:08 dream 70s muscle car Resto mod 1:08:13 period after it asks them a few 1:08:16 questions it's going to 1:08:18 create a photograph of their dream 1:08:23 ride all right so so I just tell it what 1:08:28 I want there's no coding there's no 1:08:31 programming I don't have to know prompt 1:08:33 engineering I'm like talking like a dumb 1:08:36 Dum cuz you 1:08:40 know when when you got it flaunt 1:08:44 it and so now it says updating GPT and 1:08:47 now watch you'll see over here on the 1:08:49 right it's going to 1:08:53 change so it writes some [ __ ] on the 1:08:57 left and then look that thing on the 1:08:59 right showed up what's that I help 1:09:01 design your dream 7's muscle car imagine 1:09:05 let's 1:09:09 see let's design your dream car I'm 1:09:12 going to just click that and see what it 1:09:16 does fantastic to get started model 1:09:21 inspiration all right so okay so it's 1:09:24 doing things I don't like but whatever 1:09:25 but anyway I'm I'm playing with it right 1:09:27 now so I'm going to go let me just do 1:09:29 I'll just do like 1:09:31 19 1:09:35 71 lime 1:09:37 green 1:09:40 Barracuda 1:09:42 with Keystone 1:09:48 mags and side 1:09:51 pipes I don't [ __ ] know so let see 1:09:54 what it what it says there great choice 1:09:56 blah blah blah I'm going to say make me 1:10:00 a 1:10:04 picture look it even added little emojis 1:10:07 it's cute now it's making a picture 1:10:10 would I have to have GPT for to use your 1:10:12 GPT in fact you do right now I don't 1:10:15 know if that's going to be the case when 1:10:17 the GPT store comes out it's possible 1:10:19 that they create a runtime environment 1:10:22 where you can run these without someone 1:10:24 having um gp4 but this could also be a 1:10:28 way for them to 1:10:29 sell um that's actually really cool 1:10:33 that's actually that's actually [ __ ] 1:10:36 [Laughter] 1:10:38 bitching uh okay so we're gonna say um 1:10:42 over here I'm gonna I'm going to modify 1:10:43 this a 1:10:47 little I only wanted to ask the user 1:10:50 three questions 1:10:53 period 1:10:54 and I don't want them to ask the next 1:10:57 question until the user has answered the 1:10:59 previous 1:11:01 period I want the process to 1:11:03 start 1:11:05 with a single 1:11:12 question where the user says they're 1:11:15 ready to start designing their dream 1:11:18 car period upon answering the third 1:11:23 question 1:11:24 I want you to make a 16x9 wide 1:11:28 image of their dream car 1:11:31 period make the style cinematic and sexy 1:11:35 as 1:11:36 hell see you can talk to it just like 1:11:39 you were talking to like a creative 1:11:42 director or a hm G something went wrong 1:11:45 all right regenerate let's 1:11:48 see girl something went 1:11:51 wrong we might have broke it 1:11:59 come on 1:12:01 GPT all right we'll let that think for a 1:12:03 minute let me go see if I can make this 1:12:05 a 16 by9 image because I actually love 1:12:07 this image uh uh make this 16 by 9 1:12:22 wide 1:12:27 all right now it's updating the GPT so 1:12:30 many side pipes I know it's got It's got 1:12:33 like 40 side pipes doesn't 1:12:35 it it's pretty 1:12:39 cute oh did I just lose it oh damn it I 1:12:43 think I just lost it oh 1:12:45 well can I can I get to it can I get 1:12:48 back there this is something I've never 1:12:51 figured 1:12:52 out oh here it is oh look at that that 1:12:57 is so [ __ ] 1:13:00 cool all right wait let me copy this 1:13:03 copy image let me go over to I'm goingon 1:13:06 to go show and tell this that's that's a 1:13:09 [ __ ] and show and tell 1:13:11 one 1:13:14 um that's so good okay 1:13:18 uh dream 1:13:21 Cuda Resto mod 1:13:28 and then I'll do images tag and I'll do 1:13:32 Irregulars tag and then I'll 1:13:35 post I do not want to tell everyone in 1:13:37 the world that I made a muscle car but 1:13:39 it's a [ __ ] cool 1:13:42 one okay let's go back over here to chat 1:13:47 J okay so now let's see before we 1:13:52 proceed how do you feel about dream 1:13:54 muscle car creator uh Let's 1:13:58 do let's go 1:14:05 with 70s Resto mod 1:14:12 maker Resto 1:14:15 mod Resto mod Muscle 1:14:19 Maker muscle car 1:14:22 maker hm 1:14:36 now let's give it a unique profile 1:14:38 picture now it is making a profile 1:14:40 picture for 1:14:41 us and then once it does this we're 1:14:43 going to we're going to pop inside and 1:14:45 look at the configure tab so what it's 1:14:47 been doing so we've been over here just 1:14:50 talking like a dumb Dum like we don't 1:14:53 even know anything about coding and it 1:14:56 takes all that and 1:14:57 it what weird ass car did it 1:15:01 make it's 1:15:03 bizarre 1:15:06 um make 1:15:09 it make the image a an 1:15:15 orange 1:15:17 69 GTO AUD is a key form of 1:15:21 communication in our daily life from 1:15:23 talking to a friend or listening to a 1:15:25 song most of us lean on audio every day 1:15:28 across many languages and for different 1:15:30 the hell just happened 1:15:35 there a demon three speed a demon 1:15:38 three-speed manual car the muscle car 1:15:40 appeared on the screen and Kyle started 1:15:42 losing focus on what he was 1:15:45 saying so true welcome to Chad 1:15:49 add you can get your education advice 1:15:52 from me 1:15:57 I represent the chronically 1:15:58 undereducated you can make money with ch 1:16:01 to 1:16:04 yeah wait till Kyle has a replicator oh 1:16:07 my exactly thank you Grizzy appreciate 1:16:10 the 1:16:12 rose okay so now okay so now we have a 1:16:16 now we have a GPT whether or not it's 1:16:19 any good we don't know but I'm going to 1:16:21 save it now can I make it public I can 1:16:24 okay so two three three modes I can make 1:16:28 it so that only I can play with this I 1:16:30 could make it that anyone I send a link 1:16:32 to can play with this or I can set it 1:16:33 for public now right now because there's 1:16:36 not a GPT 1:16:38 store anyone with the link mode and 1:16:41 public mode are identical right you 1:16:43 still need to send out the link 1:16:45 but when I roll over public look what it 1:16:48 says this GPT may appear in the GPT 1:16:51 store coming soon so this is the thing 1:16:55 that's like getting in on the ground 1:16:56 floor of the Apple App 1:16:58 Store um you're going to be able to 1:17:01 monetize these gpts that you make so 1:17:03 anyway so I'm going to make this I'm 1:17:04 going to confirm 1:17:06 it and then it should take me there so 1:17:10 here we 1:17:11 are um I'm going to go back and we're 1:17:14 going to go back and edit something 1:17:15 about this we're going to edit the GPT 1:17:17 okay so I got my GPT it's live it's 1:17:21 working I'm going to go to the configure 1:17:22 tab so years's we got7s Resto 1:17:28 mod muscle car maker is it Resto mod one 1:17:32 word it's going to be now it's going to 1:17:34 be one word with a camel case letter in 1:17:37 it designs dream 70s muscle car in three 1:17:41 steps okay so it remembered that great 1:17:45 so it says ready to design your dream 1:17:48 car so I want to say 1:17:52 um I 1:17:54 am ready to dream to design my dream car 1:18:00 and then I'm going to get rid 1:18:02 of those other things so I just wanted 1:18:05 to have this one thing okay this one 1:18:08 prompting question so you see over here 1:18:11 it had four before and some of them were 1:18:13 like running it down different rabbit 1:18:15 holes I just want someone to come here 1:18:16 and go I'm ready to design my dream car 1:18:18 boom let's see what this thing does see 1:18:21 if it behaves the way I want it to great 1:18:22 let's start the first step is to CH 1:18:24 choose your preferred muscle car from 1:18:26 the 1:18:27 70s some popular options include so 1:18:30 we'll go we'll go 1:18:34 challenger all 1:18:36 right excellent choice the Dodge 1:18:38 Challenger is a classic now let's move 1:18:41 on to the second question what color and 1:18:43 finish would you like for your 1:18:45 Challenger uh let's go let's go nasty 1:18:51 green green with green Gren green with 1:18:57 matte black accents this is going to be 1:19:05 mean a bold and unique combination now 1:19:08 for the final question are there any 1:19:10 custom modifications or special features 1:19:13 you envision for your car this could 1:19:15 include engine upgrades uh let's see uh 1:19:19 Wicked 1:19:21 blower side 1:19:26 pipes 1:19:28 lowered 1:19:31 suspension 1:19:32 and 1:19:34 wide 1:19:36 wide ass 1:19:42 tires creating image this it works great 1:19:45 this is perfect this is good that that's 1:19:47 this is what I was hoping it would be 1:19:48 you can get in you answer the way to 1:25:15 go all right that's a GPT someone asked 1:25:18 a simple question but car what's a GP I 1:25:21 don't know what a g 1:25:23 how do you make a je what is a je why do 1:25:26 you make a 1:25:27 je and then what is it 20 minutes later 1:25:31 we got ourselves a dream car 1:25:34 maker how cool is that it's 1:25:38 cool tell her to stop rhyming and use 1:25:40 two words all right well 1:25:44 okay cool car name 1:25:47 ideas stop rhyming and just use two 1:25:50 words period 1:25:53 you're trying to be too clever period 1:25:56 this is about muscle 1:26:00 cars 1:26:02 understood vintage Vision muscle method 1:26:06 retro revive classic 1:26:09 craft no I'm I'm going with the 1:26:14 17w the 17w completely 1:26:19 unmemorable never pronounceable 70s so 1:26:22 mod muscle car 1:26:24 maker the end kind of has some snap to 1:26:29 it although I suppose wait 7 like 70s 1:26:35 muscle car 1:26:45 maker I know what I can 1:26:48 do less words more better that's 1:26:51 something I learned in college 1:26:53 all right we're going to go to 1:26:55 configure I'm going to pop Resto mod out 1:26:57 of the title 70s muscle car maker 70s 1:27:01 muscle 1:27:04 car 1:27:07 machine yeah that's good oh and then 1:27:11 this is business advice machine always 1:27:16 put a trademark there not cuz you're 1:27:19 going to actually trademark it but just 1:27:20 cuz it looks cool 1:27:25 completely frivolous TMS are my jam 70s 1:27:29 muscle car machine design dream 70s 1:27:32 muscle 1:27:37 car Resto 1:27:40 mod in 1:27:45 three simple steps I think 1:27:48 so 1:27:51 design a 1:27:55 design but Kyle none of these Details 1:27:57 Matter this is what add 1:28:00 is this is this is how it [ __ ] works 1:28:03 people 1:28:05 like most of the details you don't give 1:28:08 a crap about but then you get obsessed 1:28:10 with one of them and you're like I'll 1:28:12 spend the next four hours working on 1:28:14 this stupid [ __ ] 1:28:20 name welcome to my brain it's a zany 1:28:25 zany brain all right 70s muscle car 1:28:28 machine TM okay see all right that's 1:28:32 [ __ ] sassy now let's go back over to 1:28:35 here and fix that [ __ ] 1:28:39 um where's the how do I edit 1:28:46 this oh cuz I'm in here oh edit 1:28:50 okay dream Cuda May made with the' 1:28:53 70s muscle 1:28:57 car 1:29:01 machine 1:29:03 TM it's option two by the way 1:29:09 GPT 1:29:11 minina all right 1:29:14 save all right let's just go test it 1:29:17 again make sure everything's working and 1:29:18 hunky dory boom 70s muscle car machine 1:29:23 design a dream 70s muscle car Resto mod 1:29:27 oh we can make this even better see see 1:29:29 what I told you I'm telling you next 1:29:31 hour I'm GNA be tweaking this stupid 1:29:33 [ __ ] name design the dream 7s we got 1:29:36 to match our apostrophe 1:29:39 ass and I can pull out muscle car here 1:29:41 because it's in the title design a dream 1:29:43 70s Resto 1:29:45 mod let's do 1970s here to make it a 1:29:49 little more oops 1870s that would be a 1:29:51 very different Resto mod 1770s good 1:29:55 [Laughter] 1:30:00 Lord okay updating public confirm this 1:30:04 is I'm telling you man this is going to 1:30:05 be a 1:30:07 hit oh you know what we should add to it 1:30:09 let's add one more thing to 1:30:11 it welcome to Chad add watch Kyle as he 1:30:15 loses his [ __ ] 1:30:18 mind okay um follow 1:30:22 these 1:30:28 [Applause] 1:30:29 rules at the top of the 1:30:34 image 1:30:36 put a 1:30:39 classic nickname of the 1:30:42 car in bold 1:30:46 letters that look like a 1:30:51 70s 1:30:53 poster of that 1:30:56 car 1:30:59 EG 1:31:01 um a 1:31:06 baruda might have the 1:31:10 word quotes Dash 1:31:14 Cuda at the 1:31:19 top 1:31:21 okay so let me update 1:31:25 this we'll confirm that we'll go we'll 1:31:28 go view our GPT we're going to make 1:31:30 another one all right you 1:31:34 ready so we're going to do I'm 1:31:36 ready 1:31:38 H it's not a question hang 1:31:42 on how how many people still there's 112 1:31:46 people watching me have have an add 1:31:49 hyper tunnel Focus breakdown 1:31:57 okay that's going to be an exclamation 1:31:58 point not a question 1:32:02 mark welcome to neuros spicity starring 1:32:06 Kyle Shannon hi my brain don't work 1:32:09 right how's yours all 1:32:12 right I am ready to design my dream car 1:32:16 boom please tell me you didn't break it 1:32:20 sometimes these things will just break 1:32:21 okay let's start off first question what 1:32:24 do you want it to be uh 1:32:27 19 uh 1:32:30 19 69 GTO Judge and I know it's not the 1:32:35 70s but it's it's it's an honorary 7s 1:32:38 car because it's so [ __ ] 1:32:41 cool great choice 69 judge true classic 1:32:44 now let's move on you can actually 1:32:46 choose some classic options like 1:32:48 Carousel red which is actually 1:32:51 Orange 1:32:53 carosel is 1:32:56 perfect 1:32:58 okay it's an ionic choice for the 1969 1:33:02 GTO Judge now for the final questions 1:33:05 are there any classic 1:33:07 modifications let's see uh I want it to 1:33:11 be a 1:33:13 sleeper but with 1:33:16 side 1:33:19 pipes and wide 1:33:22 tires 1:33:24 on Flat Black 1:33:31 Mags there should be a 1:33:37 bulge in the 1:33:40 hood 1:33:42 that will 1:33:45 make other Racers 1:33:50 nervous n 1:33:54 nervous 1:34:01 appropriately I love being a dumb Dum to 1:34:03 chat GPT it listen it doesn't ever judge 1:34:07 you you can just be a dum dumb to it and 1:34:10 you know what sometimes it gives you 1:34:11 really good results you've got a Clear 1:34:13 Vision for a stealthy yet powerful 1:34:15 machine it's a sleeper car with side 1:34:17 pipes perfect combination now let's 1:34:19 bring this dream card to life I'll 1:34:21 create a 16x9 cinematic style image in 1:34:24 Carousel red with these custom 1:34:27 features it'll also have the classic 1:34:30 nickname of the car in bold letters it 1:34:32 should say the judge in this case let's 1:34:35 see how it 1:34:44 looks oh see the 1:34:47 Judy if it could spell right it would 1:34:49 have been perfect that is not exactly a 1:34:52 sleeper car he's got a blower I said a 1:34:55 bulge not a blower okay we got we got 1:34:58 listen 1:35:00 listen listen I just said I wanted to 1:35:04 bulge on the hood and you put a chrome 1:35:06 blower sticking out of it period that's 1:35:09 not a Sleeper Car period you also 1:35:11 misspelled the judge but you had the 1:35:14 right 1:35:15 idea make this thing a bit more 1:35:19 subtle and make it look more mean 1:35:23 all 1:35:24 right it was a little short and squatty 1:35:27 it kind of looked like a 1:35:29 uh like a little 1:35:36 sedan we we are now absolutely losing 1:35:39 people out of this people like [ __ ] it 1:35:41 I'm tapping out an hour later yeah 1:35:43 exactly all right I'll be done fine fine 1:35:46 you don't want to see my cool car look 1:35:48 the judge the juice Judes 1:35:53 with the with the triple with the triple 1:35:55 headlights on one side only you don't 1:35:57 have a judge like 1:36:06 this all right so my gpt's got some 1:36:08 tweaking to do but I don't care I made a 1:36:11 GPT and you didn't unless you did land 1:36:15 grab and all that yeah exactly you 1:36:18 understand you made a muscle car maker 1:36:19 you understand the the Allure this 1:36:24 thing great job you've been live for 90 1:36:26 minutes and 89 of them have been working 1:36:29 on the title of your stupid 1:36:31 GPT hey I would love to write copy for 1:36:33 you awesome I don't I'm not hiring right 1:36:36 now but awesome thank you show and tell 1:36:41 man oh this of the 1:36:44 Judes I kind of feel 1:36:47 like it's not good it's not good all 1:36:51 right let me just try 1:36:53 Okay one more 1:36:59 time remove the blower and just have a 1:37:05 normal hood and 1:37:09 put the car 1:37:13 on the beach at 1:37:20 Sunset did did you say meaner I think I 1:37:24 did did I let me go look at what I 1:37:28 said you missed spell judge you have the 1:37:31 right idea make this thing a bit more 1:37:34 subtle and make it look more mean no I 1:37:36 just said more mean I didn't say meanor 1:37:38 but meanor is close like meaner is the 1:37:41 right Spirit of the 1:37:42 [Laughter] 1:37:47 word there we go the judge oh and it got 1:37:50 the spelling right and it looks [ __ ] 1:37:52 great but look at that 1:37:54 within what felt like 4 hours but was 1:37:57 really only 25 minutes or so we now have 1:38:00 a thing that will make like a cool 70s 1:38:02 poster poster 1:38:04 maker and then you can pop that into an 1:38:07 upscale or upscale it and go make 1:38:09 yourself a cool ass thing that's [ __ ] 1:38:12 cool I'm sorry I don't care what you 1:38:15 say you know gpts are nothing more than 1:38:18 a St stochastic probability Eng 1:38:22 uh it doesn't do anything actually 1:38:24 original there's nothing actually 1:38:26 creative about it it's it's really uh 1:38:28 just actually it's more close to a 1:38:31 calculator uh than than a what you refer 1:38:34 to as magic it's not it's not magic it's 1:38:38 not creative in any way it's it's really 1:38:39 just uh stochastic representation based 1:38:42 on uh probability sequencing uh in the 1:38:45 in the in the the embeddings and the the 1:38:48 vector space uh that that was generated 1:38:50 the Thousand dimension Vector space from 1:38:52 which it was 1:38:54 derived yeah yeah it's magic all right 1:38:58 uh copy image we're going back to the 1:39:02 AI That's French that's the French 1:39:05 pronunciation 1:39:08 Theon all right oh nice chalk art very 1:39:12 cool very cool oh got some muscles in 1:39:17 here we got some muscles oh who did that 1:39:20 Ted looks at like t look at Ted always 1:39:23 killing it with the original ideas dang 1:39:25 it 1:39:27 Ted that's such a cool idea put it in 1:39:30 the box under the 1:39:32 tree to Kyle oh my God that's sweet I'm 1:39:35 getting a little choked up over here you 1:39:37 guys are amazing nice 1:39:41 Suzanne she looks terrified all right so 1:39:44 let me put in my I I now feel like I 1:39:46 feel like my my my beach judge is now 1:39:49 sad cuz of Ted 1:39:52 boxed Cuda under the tree very nice 1:39:55 though very nice uh let's see 1:40:02 paste 1:40:04 from the 1:40:06 GPT oh wait let's see a GTO oh this is 1:40:11 so good a 1:40:13 GTO from 1:40:15 the 1:40:20 from from the oh my God 1:40:26 GPT I can't see the keyboard people give 1:40:29 me a break stop judging me stop judging 1:40:32 me it's not my fault it's I have a 1:40:36 ticktock it's not this is hard you 1:40:40 people are very 1:40:42 demanding I'm going to go I heard inside 1:40:47 all right there we go now I don't want 1:40:50 to not everyone stop asking me 1:40:53 that okay there you go if you want to go 1:40:57 see this lovely image you have to join 1:41:02 the wow that was a 1:41:09 [ __ ] you can make money with 1:41:17 J no 1:41:20 thanks 1:41:22 I just made a g GPT for disabled solo 1:41:25 Travelers called accessible G guler I 1:41:28 like that that's actually really nice 1:41:31 good name I like it GPT Tik Tock podcast 1:41:34 who's in 1:41:35 me 1:41:37 yeah actually I mean why not be because 1:41:42 quite 1:41:42 frankly I mean I was obviously just 1:41:45 messing around there but if you wanted 1:41:47 to do a sophisticated GPT where you're 1:41:50 you're adding um you know knowledge and 1:41:54 and getting knowledge sources and doing 1:41:56 apis and things like that you put in G 1:42:00 you put GTP not GTO wait what did I do 1:42:04 oh oh God 1:42:07 Jesus Jesus Take the 1:42:09 Wheel take the typing wheel GT 1:42:15 O 1:42:17 Okay 1:42:19 the G GTO from the 1:42:24 GPT 1:42:27 okay oh my God I'm so bad at 1:42:34 this all right it's fixed people it's 1:42:37 fixed all right Colorado is taking Trump 1:42:41 off the ballot I saw that I saw that 1:42:44 that you know whatever GTO oh yeah you 1:42:47 posted it wrong of course I 1:42:50 did the title was wrong I 1:42:53 know what does the money roll in wait 1:42:55 when does the money roll in I don't you 1:42:57 tell me I don't have an end game 1:43:01 here does it still set from the GPT from 1:43:04 the GPT I know I know my GPT builds 1:43:09 don't normally wait what was that don't 1:43:11 normally go like Kyle's but I'm here for 1:43:14 it yeah yours actually work 1:43:18 lunatick mine go a very different 1:43:21 Direction my lack of attention to detail 1:43:24 is is the 1:43:26 [Laughter] 1:43:28 charm I mean actually it is like it's 1:43:30 like one of my superpowers it's just the 1:43:32 ability to I got sorry I just breathed 1:43:34 in a 1:43:36 hair did I get it 1:43:39 yeah 1:43:41 um my ability to like just take an idea 1:43:43 and just go here it 1:43:45 is that's something I've always been 1:43:47 good at but oh man that was a long one 1:43:50 all right 1:43:51 let me get the hell on out of 1:43:54 Dodge that was fun I actually I actually 1:43:57 really did enjoy that I hope I hope 1:43:59 someone here 1:44:00 did we'll we'll go out with a nice 1:44:05 judge it's funny it says the judge with 1:44:07 any Sleeper 1:44:10 Car the whole point of a sleeper car is 1:44:13 you don't call it out yeah dumb 1:44:15 [Laughter] 1:44:18 Dums oh 1:44:23 all right um happy Tuesday night thank 1:44:27 you all for
