1:32 crues Sherry D starting it out with a
1:35 bang for the
1:38 nurses the healthc care
1:40 workers nice I like
1:46 it the little robots you know what's
1:49 funny is like just we're not that far
1:52 away from from having little robots in
1:55 our houses that actually do
1:59 something that's pretty sweet nice nice
2:04 pictures medical dudes are reading
2:06 slides in our regular group yeah I saw
2:08 that Sherry D that was pretty
2:10 funny reading blood cells and things
2:13 like that you gota gota watch out for
2:15 the hallucinations there forever wreck
2:18 I'm sorry I'm late Joker Sherry D and I
2:20 were chatting on Discord interesting use
2:22 of chat GPT Vision yeah so let me see if
2:26 I've
2:28 got do it I can do I can put it up there
2:31 too but let me go
2:37 look so they're like analyzing stuff
2:40 like that with chat GPT Vision saying
2:43 what is
2:48 this I don't when it gets into like
2:51 actual Health in people's bodies I get
2:55 squeamish yeah yeah you guys go do that
2:57 you guys go figure that out let me know
2:58 when you got to figure it out
3:03 I'll do I'll do some some self
3:05 differential diagnosis but but when I'm
3:07 actually analyzing stuff I'm like n I'm
3:10 gonna I'm G to
3:11 wait I'm G to wait till the
3:13 hallucinations come down a bit um
3:16 welcome everybody my name is Kyle
3:17 Shannon this is the AI learning lab
3:19 that's our membership card right there
3:22 if you're new here welcome we talk about
3:25 all things generative Ai and how how
3:27 what what what is this AI thing what's
3:29 chat GP how how's it affecting us what
3:31 are we doing and uh I'll answer
3:34 questions as I can I'll demo things as I
3:36 can um I'll kind of this kind of become
3:40 like total request live where uh you
3:43 know just just ask a question I'll do
3:45 what I can and if I can't answer it for
3:47 the most part I'll I'll be honest about
3:48 it but I do try to answer stuff I try to
3:51 keep on top of things and uh let's see a
3:53 little bit about my background I'm an
3:54 entrepreneur a many time entrepreneur I
3:57 am officially
3:59 unhirable
4:00 and uh I'm the current uh founder and
4:03 CEO of a company called storyvine which
4:05 is a an automated video storytelling
4:08 platform we're 11 and a half years old
4:11 we we're in the healthcare and Pharma
4:12 space so do a lot of work in
4:14 healthcare and uh what else in the early
4:16 days of the worldwide web in 1994 I
4:19 co-founded agency.com which was one of
4:21 the first digital agencies so I bring
4:24 that up just because what what was going
4:28 on in the early days of the and what's
4:30 going on in the early days of this
4:32 generative AI stuff are very very
4:34 similar a lot of parallels and so uh I
4:38 feel like I bring that perspective as
4:39 well so um if you're brand new to this
4:42 stuff we'll get you started if you
4:44 haven't if you haven't launched chat GPT
4:46 if you haven't tried it we're going to
4:49 fix that tonight we're gonna fix it tips
4:51 for writing SEO articles with chat GPT
4:54 or other AI tools uh first know
4:56 something about SEO or ask chat GPT to
4:59 tell you about it
5:00 and then just have it write it I don't
5:02 know that there's tips for it
5:04 um you know you can you could give it a
5:08 bunch of keywords if you've already
5:10 identified them and researched them or
5:11 you could just say give me a pile of
5:13 keywords and then say now incorporate
5:16 those words into 27
5:19 articles I wish I could quit
5:23 you I do I do I'm like a trained monkey
5:28 you put stupid [ __ ] in my head
5:30 and I'll make dumb voices I make dumb
5:33 voices anyway I don't need stupid [ __ ]
5:35 on my head but you put stupid [ __ ] on my
5:36 head I'm doing
5:37 [Music]
5:38 it um
5:41 so um let's see uh with chat gbt or
5:45 other AI tools I'm sure there are
5:47 specialized tools to do that I I would
5:49 recommend just get chat gp4 and just
5:52 start experimenting start playing in
5:53 fact let's let's flip
5:56 over let me flip over to Let's see where
6:00 are we where are we we're going to start
6:04 right
6:07 here we're going to start right there if
6:11 you have never played with chat
6:14 gbt just go right now chat. open.com
6:19 take your little
6:20 browser go go on your little browser
6:23 chat. open.com and start playing m KY I
6:26 don't know what to ask it I'm not very
6:28 technical I don't know this how flute
6:29 machine learning stuff what is
6:31 artificial intelligence anyway do I need
6:33 to be a programmer no you don't you just
6:37 need to be a human
6:38 being it's called a large language model
6:42 do you know what else are large language
6:44 models us we're all large language
6:47 models so Chach PT is just like a
6:51 incredibly well-educated
6:54 simpleton you got to tell everything too
6:57 but it knows everything and so if you
6:59 get good at talking to it it gets really
7:03 good at helping you do stuff so um so
7:05 just go there right now uh ask it to
7:08 write you a country song ask it to write
7:09 you a pop song ask it
7:12 to help you craft a marketing message
7:15 for your pizza shop uh tell it you want
7:18 an exercise plan uh but you only want to
7:23 um you only want to do exercises sitting
7:26 down it'll come up with
7:28 that um and just go start playing and
7:30 it's one of my one of my messages on the
7:33 channel is um we should all just be
7:37 playing with this stuff right now you
7:39 don't have to love it you don't have to
7:40 hate it just just go play with it
7:43 understand what it is what it's good for
7:46 I asked it to write me a fantasy
7:47 children's book today how did it do
7:49 Blake I assume it did really well it's
7:52 really good at it's chat J pt4 in
7:54 particular is is really good I so so I'm
7:57 gonna show you something here I've got
8:00 that page that page that page that page
8:02 that page and a bunch of people to
8:04 follow and normally I go through these
8:06 one by one I'm not going to do that
8:08 tonight because a it takes for [ __ ]
8:09 ever I'm going to make a video to do
8:11 that so I'm going to give you a shot
8:13 right now to screenshot all these all
8:15 right so you ready get ready to
8:16 screenshot I'm just going to blast
8:17 through them I'm not going to talk about
8:19 them all of these things I'm about to
8:21 show you are worth your time to go play
8:23 with that's all I'll tell you all right
8:25 and then and then we're going to come
8:27 back and the reason I'm doing this is
8:29 there is so much to explore in chat GPT
8:32 alone and especially with chat GPT 4
8:36 with all this multimodal stuff that I
8:38 think I'm just going to unless there's a
8:40 specific question on another tool I'm
8:42 just going to play in chat gbt tonight
8:44 because it's it it's just staggeringly
8:47 deep as as a single tool and it's if you
8:50 haven't paid the 20 bucks for chat gp4 I
8:53 personally think it's the it's the deal
8:55 of the century in terms of software
8:57 right now um so
9:00 so yeah anyway but get ready to
9:02 screenshot all right here here's I'm
9:03 going to give you five seconds on each
9:05 of these pages to screenshot them right
9:07 there's one there's two 4 3 2
9:14 one all right there's image
9:19 creation those are the ones you want to
9:21 be playing with met with an AT&T
9:23 director today they're not using AI
9:25 internally staggering AT&T not using AI
9:28 internally video creation it's still
9:31 early this stuff's jankier than [ __ ] but
9:33 hang out there and go check out hayen
9:35 labs. hen.com the translation tool there
9:38 all right there's music and
9:40 audio 5 4 3 2 1 that's amazing Source
9:46 Camp staggering
9:49 staggering
9:51 staggering 3D worlds and
9:53 objects and then here's people to go
9:56 follow David Shapiro Ethan mullik Paul R
9:59 Rachel Woods all
10:02 right so another thing we're going to
10:04 talk about is if you are looking for a
10:08 community if if you're one of those
10:09 people that's like you've discovered
10:11 this and you feel like I don't have
10:12 anyone to talk to this about um I'm
10:15 coming up on the one-year anniversary of
10:17 a group I started we had our first
10:19 meeting December 7th of 22 a week after
10:22 chat GPT came out it's called the AI
10:24 Salon if you go to the
10:27 salon. um it's got the first link is a
10:30 link to a description of the salon and
10:33 our values and those are really
10:35 important I'm going to go through the
10:37 values here in a second and
10:41 um and it's it's we've got a we do
10:45 meetups every other week and we've got
10:48 an online Discord
10:50 community and uh in the Discord
10:53 Community you can ask questions we've
10:55 got guilds so we've got um uh a
10:59 beginners Guild we've got business Guild
11:01 entrepreneur Guild Art Guild a writing
11:04 Guild uh a a guild called the AI
11:08 Mechanics for more geeky types and we're
11:11 just getting ready to launch Sherry D
11:14 and Joker and Ava who are here tonight
11:17 are going to do a healthc care Guild and
11:20 so we're going to have a healthcare
11:21 Guild so really cool community so the
11:25 values these are really important first
11:27 one you can't see so important I can't I
11:31 can't show it to you first one's
11:34 generosity so like like what's happening
11:36 on this channel is so I show up here
11:39 every night I've been doing this for
11:40 like four months four four months and
11:42 change now every single night seven days
11:45 a week um just sharing everything I'm
11:48 learning and what's ending up happening
11:51 here is this community like nightly here
11:53 it turns into like a jam session where
11:55 people are collaborating and sharing
11:58 cool [ __ ] on the Discord and asking
12:00 questions and helping one another in
12:01 here so it's it's the embodiment of that
12:05 value um next value is exploration like
12:08 I want I want people in here who are
12:10 like experimenting and exploring and
12:12 trying to figure this crap out and
12:14 putting themselves out of their comfort
12:16 zone um
12:17 collaboration there are incredibly smart
12:20 people here and they're from all walks
12:21 of life which leads to the the the next
12:25 uh value which is inclusion like I don't
12:28 give a [ __ ] where you're from I don't
12:29 give a [ __ ] what your level of um of you
12:32 know expertise is or experience you're
12:34 like but I don't know anything about AI
12:36 come on in if you're curious and you're
12:38 willing to do this stuff come on in and
12:40 then the last one is
12:42 empathy and empathy is this is a massive
12:45 one for me
12:47 because
12:53 the this AI stuff's really weird okay
12:57 when you're sitting on the outside of it
12:58 it's really [ __ ] scary because
13:02 Hollywood's told us for like half a
13:04 century that the robots are going to
13:05 kill us right so you're like and people
13:08 like these are like the smartest robots
13:10 we've ever had and you're like oh God
13:12 they're going to kill us right and then
13:14 you get over that and and you're like
13:16 okay I'm going to try it and you're like
13:17 well isn't it just like Google and it
13:19 looks like a Google box and you type in
13:21 stuff and it's it's uh NW Bain I I
13:24 freaking love this place awesome well
13:26 welcome welcome
13:28 welcome
13:29 so you try this thing and then you go in
13:31 and you're like well it's probably not
13:32 that good it's just like fancy Google
13:34 and then you try it and you're like oh
13:36 that that was better than I thought it
13:37 would be and then and then you try it on
13:40 something that you know how to do and
13:42 you're like oh [ __ ] and it's scary in a
13:46 different way because it's like wait a
13:48 minut is this going to replace my job oh
13:50 my God what do I do
13:52 now and then something weird happens you
13:55 know you
13:56 you you you end up having what what we
14:01 call in here your Kevin McAllister
14:03 moment or or a series of them right the
14:06 the Home Alone
14:08 moment and you go through this weird
14:11 combination of it's terrifying oh it's
14:14 really exciting oh it's terrifying oh
14:15 it's really exciting and what I'm seeing
14:17 happen over and over again in people
14:19 that are coming here night after
14:21 night is as they process through these
14:24 weird emotions of it's scary it's
14:26 exciting it's scary it's exciting um
14:28 they're kind of block gossing and
14:29 rediscovering themselves and
14:31 rediscovering passions that they never
14:33 knew they had and so if you're feeling
14:35 scared right now perfectly appropriate
14:38 place to be if you're feeling really
14:39 excited perfectly appropriate place to
14:41 be if you're feeling both of those at
14:43 the same time perfectly appropriate
14:45 place to be um if you're feeling behind
14:48 we're all feeling behind like I I I do
14:51 this every [ __ ] night it's all I pay
14:53 attention to essentially is this stuff
14:55 and I just I feel like I've barely
14:57 scratched the surface so anyway that's
15:01 what the AI salon's about now there's a
15:03 there's a private channel in the AI
15:06 Salon if you're subscriber to the to
15:08 this to the lives um you get access it's
15:11 a channel called The Irregular so the
15:12 people that show up here here regularly
15:14 are called the Irregulars and they are
15:16 they're nuts but they're nuts in the
15:18 best possible way um and so so yeah so
15:22 go to the salon. aai check out our stuff
15:24 if you resonate with the values come
15:26 hang out if you don't totally cool
15:29 um but you know I'm I'm really
15:31 passionate about growing this community
15:33 but I'm also passionate about making
15:34 sure that it
15:35 retains um the goodness that it
15:40 is and you know what I realized I'm
15:43 missing one of my values
15:47 hold I'm missing it here too oh no there
15:49 it
15:53 is uh uh uh uh it's curiosity curiosity
15:58 killed the cat
16:00 curiosity one of the more important
16:02 values be curious people don't be scared
16:06 but Kyle these robots might take my job
16:10 be curious but Kyle it's scary be
16:13 curious oh Kyle I don't know what to do
16:17 then be
16:18 curious all right our company just hired
16:21 an aiv VP building uh building unit in
16:25 it for healthcare awesome that's really
16:27 cool
16:28 Winston
16:29 um yeah I think we're going to start
16:31 seeing that I think we're going to start
16:32 seeing this is this is going to take a
16:33 very similar trajectory as like all the
16:35 chief digital officers where um
16:40 initially the
16:44 um initially AI is going to be cordoned
16:48 off to the side right it's like we're
16:50 running our business here and oh let's
16:53 put the AI off to the side those weird
16:56 people do the AI stuff and over the next
16:59 5 years or whatever this stuff's going
17:01 to become ubiquitous it's just going to
17:02 get rolled it's going to be part of
17:04 every business in a in a deep and
17:06 fundamental way so that I'm clear on
17:09 what it looks like and how it changes
17:10 businesses that I'm not clear on but
17:12 that it's going to do it Crystal Clear
17:15 what do you think about the White
17:16 House's executive orders on AI I think
17:19 it's good that they've got them I think
17:21 it's good that they're focusing on
17:22 safety uh I I haven't to be honest I
17:25 haven't um read them in any depth I just
17:27 know what people have said about them so
17:29 um I should probably have more of an
17:32 opinion on that considering the channel
17:33 but I don't I just don't today I just
17:35 didn't have time to do it we had we had
17:37 a at at my company Story vine we had a
17:41 um prospective client come in last
17:43 Friday night at 6:45
17:46 p.m. and said we need to launch next
17:49 Tuesday
17:52 tomorrow and so we talked to them on
17:54 Saturday we kicked off their project
17:55 today so just been a little busy um
17:59 it it looks like what they're focusing
18:02 on are are kind of the big players which
18:04 I think is appropriate and it's funny
18:06 that's that's pretty much what the big
18:08 players told them to focus on so so you
18:11 know the cynical side of me says uh the
18:14 uh you know the open AIS and Googles and
18:18 and metas of the world are playing their
18:20 cards
18:21 right um but the fact that you know we
18:26 got the president taking this seriously
18:28 I think it's a really good thing I think
18:29 it's good for all of us so all right if
18:31 you have questions about AI pop them in
18:33 the comments below I'm happy to go demo
18:36 some [ __ ] I'm happy to answer questions
18:39 and let me just jump in and and go see
18:41 what we got
18:43 going all right I'm I love that you so
18:47 the subscribers like forever hook that
18:48 are playing with these custom stickers I
18:50 put a couple of custom stickers in there
18:52 it's really cool to see them um so I got
18:54 to get more in there I got you know I
18:56 have a to-do list for this channel so
18:59 including um getting the T-shirt thing
19:02 back up and running we have just way too
19:04 much artwork not to have like a merch
19:06 store so so I'll get all that [ __ ] going
19:09 again at some point but you know in the
19:11 meantime let's do some cool [ __ ]
19:16 together does chat GT4 have an
19:18 Enterprise license or a subscription
19:21 model uh they have both but you unless
19:24 you're spending I think it's $10,000 a
19:26 month is a minimum uh for chat GPT 4
19:29 Enterprise uh it might even be 15 I
19:31 don't know how much it is it's it ain't
19:33 it ain't a little amount they're
19:34 starting with with big big players and
19:38 in fact I heard that um so November 1st
19:42 um co-pilot for Microsoft so chat GPT
19:47 inside Office 365 is launching and it
19:50 sounds like that the Enterprise version
19:52 of that you have to have uh 300 seat
19:55 minimum so it's like 10 grand a month
19:59 you know n Grand a month something like
20:00 that so that seems to be where they are
20:03 with Enterprise but it's a subscription
20:05 the the chat GPT for the the Plus
20:09 subscription is 20 bucks a month for
20:11 individuals um like I said I think it is
20:14 the deal of the century how do you get
20:16 chat GPT to do more than just text
20:18 responses okay let's go do
20:20 this the sad reality of it is it just
20:23 does text stuff if
20:26 um if you're just on the free version so
20:29 so chat gbt
20:31 3.5 uh is is the free version of chat
20:34 gbt and listen you might think oh it's
20:37 3.5 and everybody's talking about four
20:39 and four is so much better four is so
20:40 much better but 3.5 is remarkably fast
20:44 so here let me let me
20:48 show Vicky trying to stay awake tonight
20:51 good luck with
20:52 that I I will lull you to sleep with my
20:55 monotone with my monotone tones
20:59 um okay so we're going to we're going to
21:00 go here and we're going to go um let's
21:04 see
21:08 um write me a country song
21:12 about hanging out on Fire Island and
21:16 driving a
21:21 Jeep see how fast that
21:24 is so cat gbd 3.5 is really fast and
21:28 like yo oh it knows songs yeah it does
21:30 know songs it knows verses courses um
21:33 it's really good um what else can you do
21:35 you can do things like uh let's see
21:40 create create a table
21:44 comparing the best attributes of a
21:48 Jeep and a hot wheel
21:54 toy and you can just do random crap like
21:57 that and it will go do that um so so and
22:01 and let's see Kyle Siri unrelated but
22:04 where do you shop your shirts are very
22:06 snazzy thank you very much uh I do not
22:10 my wife is the purveyor of all things
22:12 Shannon Shannon shirts uh most of them
22:15 are Robert Graham um and they are super
22:18 cool and they they always have cool
22:20 things like cool different Fabrics on
22:23 the inside of the whatever what are
22:25 those
22:27 cuffs I'm not although the other night
22:30 someone asked me about um you know what
22:32 could fashion designers use chat GPT for
22:35 and within 10 minutes like I was
22:36 designing fashion so so u i I guess at
22:39 this point we're all fashion designers
22:42 now um anyway um let me do one other
22:45 thing with chat gbd
22:46 3.5 write an application in C designed
22:50 to run in unity that is a clone of
22:53 Flappy Birds but uses UFOs instead of
22:58 birds
22:59 words and includes a scoring
23:07 counter and it will describe it and then
23:12 it will write you your
23:14 code and there's your there's your thing
23:17 and now you can go copy and paste that
23:18 into unity and see if it works and if it
23:20 doesn't tell it hey it broke and it'll
23:23 fix it so so this is so chat jpt 3.5
23:27 even it only does text it does some
23:30 pretty remarkable [ __ ] and it does it
23:31 incredibly fast um Kyle started using
23:34 Dolly and wanted to know how close we
23:36 can get to the quality of mid Journey
23:40 it's pretty close but I I'll I'll talk
23:42 about that let me show you as as I I'm
23:46 going to kind of unpack how we get doll
23:48 or chat GPT to do more than text right
23:50 now okay and and I'll talk about that
23:54 because I think mid Journey's is in a
23:56 bit of trouble right now although it
23:58 looks like like they're about to launch
23:59 the web version of
24:01 their um of their tool which is good
24:05 because the fact that you still have but
24:07 the fact that Dolly 3 is incorporated
24:10 inside the context of chat GPT and with
24:13 and with what's about to come it's just
24:16 it's just a completely different
24:17 experience so anyway okay so here's the
24:20 deal so if you've not seen chat GPT
24:23 before the down the left hand side this
24:25 is our prompt history there's our
24:27 account down there this little chat box
24:31 is where you it's like the little Google
24:32 box except oh it's so much more it's so
24:36 much
24:37 more
24:38 um if you pay your 20 bucks you get the
24:42 little yellow plus flag and you get all
24:44 this other stuff these different modes
24:48 so there's default mode which is regular
24:50 chat GPT but it also has chat GPT Vision
24:53 in it then you have browse with Bing
24:55 then you have Advanced Data analysis you
24:57 have plugins and you have of Dolly 3 all
25:00 of these
25:01 are doing things Beyond just text all of
25:05 them the other thing that's about to
25:07 come so this was announced yesterday or
25:11 the day before I think it was the day
25:14 before I and I haven't gotten access to
25:16 it yet they're calling it GPT all
25:21 tools so right now these are these are
25:24 five they actually six distinct modes
25:27 that they're going to collect into a
25:28 single mode so all the stuff that I'm
25:30 going to show you right now are these
25:32 are five they actually six distinct
25:35 modes that they're going to collapse
25:37 into a single mode so all the stuff that
25:38 I'm going to show you right now are
25:42 better write a country song about
25:45 freshly brewed sun
25:48 tea next to the rocking chair on an old
25:55 porch yeah there we go sunti what's that
25:58 anti all right so it's it's better at
26:02 writing lyrics and
26:04 Rhymes but it's slower you're like well
26:06 that's not better but so just in terms
26:09 of the core language model here cat gbt
26:13 3.5 is 175 billion parameter model chat
26:18 GPT 4 is 1.8
26:22 trillion so it's
26:24 1075 billion parameter expert system
26:28 systems all stitched together they call
26:30 it a mix of expert systems so when you
26:32 ask chat GPT 4 to do something it
26:35 basically says which of these 10 expert
26:38 chat gpts is best suited to answer your
26:41 question and then it mixes those experts
26:44 to give you really much more
26:46 sophisticated answers so it's just
26:48 better it's just better it's better at
26:50 coding it's better at writing it's
26:53 better at analyzing it's just better
26:55 okay
26:57 so there's a new thing this little icon
27:00 down here which if you didn't know it
27:02 was there you'd miss it this is GPT
27:05 Vision so you see where it says attach
27:06 images so I can now pop something in
27:10 there let's go find us an image shall we
27:14 uh let me go to desktop I think I have a
27:17 pile of them on the Des
27:19 desktop uh uh uh uh that's one we did
27:22 last
27:23 night oh this is a good one all right
27:27 this is a shitty well it's a fine photo
27:30 but it's a photo of Walgreens which is a
27:32 shitty Pharmacy so so we're going to
27:36 open that sorry if you work at Walgreens
27:39 but my uh local Walgreens experience has
27:41 a lot to be desired I'm going to
27:44 say please describe this in as much
27:47 detail as possible and suggest five ways
27:50 that you could improve the customer
27:54 experience and so it can see images now
27:58 and analyze them
28:01 so now think about this this is we now
28:05 have we we've spent we've spent the past
28:08 I don't know nine months or so being
28:09 told you've got to become prompt
28:11 Engineers prompt engineering it's the
28:13 job of the future yay prompt engineering
28:15 well now we've got we can use pictures
28:17 as prompts well what does that mean I
28:19 don't know yet it means it's pretty wild
28:23 this is an interior image of a spacious
28:25 retail store with bright fluorescent
28:27 lighting from overhead fixtures the
28:29 flooring is
28:31 polished to the left there's a large
28:33 circular overhead signage saying
28:35 beautiful above the Cosmetic section the
28:37 section is well
28:38 organized in front of the beautiful
28:40 signage there's a display
28:43 table five ways to enhance the customer
28:46 experience interactive testers digital
28:49 price tags inore app
28:54 navigation seating
28:56 areas
29:00 all
29:01 right correction of signage ensure that
29:05 signs the W logo area seems to have an
29:09 error in the
29:10 sign so now I'm going to
29:13 say terrific can you describe a retail
29:18 space that you think would accommodate
29:22 the changes you're
29:23 suggesting but
29:26 still
29:28 functionally accomplish what the current
29:32 store is trying to
29:40 do certainly optimize retail space
29:43 General
29:45 layout all right so now it's going to
29:47 describe that now we're going to go to a
29:48 different mode which if this doesn't
29:51 blow your mind it
29:56 should what's funny about about this AI
29:58 stuff is people are so [ __ ] cynical
30:01 sometimes where where you're like you
30:03 know we've got this thing now that that
30:05 you can ask it anything and it knows
30:08 everything and it does everything but
30:10 it'll occasionally lie and and it you
30:13 know it it screws [ __ ] up and it's just
30:15 all this stuff's early and new and janky
30:17 right now but but it does this
30:19 remarkable stuff and people look at it
30:21 and they're like well it's not perfect
30:23 so I'm not going to use it that's stupid
30:26 and that's that's an important point
30:27 actually like if you tend to be one of
30:30 one of those cynical people and listen
30:32 don't get me wrong I love cynical people
30:34 I live for cynicism some of my favorite
30:36 Comics are the just the bitter jaded you
30:40 know nasty ones but with this AI stuff
30:44 it's moving so fast that that a couple
30:46 of things can happen if you get cynical
30:48 and dismiss it and kind of sit on the
30:50 sidelines it is going to pass you by um
30:55 if you start using it and you realize oh
30:57 it's not perfect perfect just hang in
30:59 there because about every 3 months
31:01 actually it's more than that it's about
31:03 every month month and a half new
31:05 versions of this stuff literally just
31:07 keep rolling and and it's it's it's just
31:10 truly remarkable um so this the
31:13 technology that you see today is as bad
31:16 as it's ever going to be like it only
31:18 gets better from
31:20 here um did you already mentioned
31:22 something about browse with being not
31:24 being an option anymore it it is
31:28 actually back browse with Bing is back
31:30 unless they got I just saw it here no
31:33 it's back so browse with Bing was gone
31:35 for about four months after um they were
31:40 scraping content from behind pay walls
31:43 uh Fortune magazines in particular so I
31:45 guess time ink came knocking on their
31:47 doors uh but it's it's back the only
31:50 groovy um I'll show you that in a second
31:52 okay so what I'm going to do here so I
31:55 had chat GPT describe the IDE deal um
31:59 retail
32:01 space uh uh uh uh after suggesting some
32:07 changes so I'm going to copy all of this
32:09 the suggested changes the description of
32:11 the space and it's it's description of a
32:14 new space we're going to go to a new
32:16 mode and again the they're about to
32:19 collapse these into a single mode so you
32:20 won't have to switch modes like this I'm
32:22 going to go to Dolly 3 so Dolly 3 is IM
32:27 generation within chat GPT conversations
32:30 so I'm going to
32:34 say hey I just had a conversation about
32:37 a retail space and I've got some
32:41 descriptions of how to improve it
32:45 here I'm going to paste all that stuff
32:48 in there that we did and I'm going to
32:51 say please create two architectural
32:56 renderings that bring these spaces to
32:59 life but are different
33:03 approaches to a new retail design period
33:06 make sure the images are 16 by9
33:10 horizontal
33:15 orientation and
33:18 it is now going off and prompting the
33:22 images in the context of that bigger
33:25 conversation so we uploaded a picture of
33:27 a drugstore we said look at this give us
33:30 some suggestions on how to improve
33:31 things describe an ideal retail space
33:35 that addresses those issues but still
33:37 hits them we just copied all that and
33:40 dumped it in here and said go could you
33:42 go do
33:43 that and so the person that was asking
33:46 before like how close do I feel Del is
33:49 to Mid
33:52 journey I feel
33:54 like in 90%
33:59 of business
34:01 interactions why would you why would you
34:03 want to go to Mid Journey why would you
34:05 want to have to go out of a
34:10 conversational uh tool like
34:15 this go over to Mid Journey learn how to
34:18 use all those commands be in a
34:19 completely different mindset generate
34:22 images over there bring them back here
34:24 it can't do text while while it might be
34:26 able to do things
34:27 that
34:28 are
34:30 aesthetically um more
34:33 sophisticated there's something about
34:35 this experience that just that's just
34:38 staggering now that space is beautiful
34:42 but it's way bigger than what we had
34:44 before that's about the same
34:46 size but there's a complete
34:51 redesign of that space so I'm going to
34:53 give it some feedback now like check
34:55 this out so so so let's say you just
34:57 hired an Architecture Firm to go analyze
35:00 your your store's layout and come back
35:03 with ideas and come back with some
35:04 sketches well we just did that in like
35:06 three minutes so now I'm going to
35:09 say the first image is in a space that's
35:12 way too large so it doesn't accomplish
35:15 the goal
35:17 but I like the look and feel
35:20 period
35:23 both designs
35:26 however feel too
35:29 conservative I'd like to make these
35:32 spaces appeal to a younger hipper
35:34 audience and an audience that
35:39 is digital first and AI Savvy period
35:44 Please give me two new
35:48 designs so now I'm just being a creative
35:51 director right now I'm just being a
35:52 client browse with Bing is gone in the
35:54 new update as of today it wasn't in mine
35:59 but let me go look I I just saw it
36:02 moments
36:04 ago uh it doesn't surprise me that it's
36:09 gone
36:11 because cuz they they keep getting sued
36:14 by
36:15 people what what what baffles me is that
36:19 Bing is connected to the internet and
36:21 you know they haven't they haven't taken
36:23 that down at all so but anyway um I I'll
36:27 go take a look here if it's gone it's
36:28 gone I mean listen it was gone for 4
36:30 months I couldn't believe it was gone
36:32 for that long so maybe they maybe they
36:34 ran into another issue it's a different
36:39 search oh they took out they took out
36:43 Bing
36:45 interesting all right that kind of looks
36:47 like one of those um cosmetic stores you
36:51 see in the
36:52 airport that's kind of cool oh yeah look
36:55 at all the digital screens see all the
36:57 digital
36:58 screens and drones there's six drones
37:02 these drones will give you haircuts
37:03 while you shop which is
37:05 [Laughter]
37:09 nice Kyle Kyle is way too conversational
37:12 with his
37:13 Hey listen I can't listen that's okay I
37:17 I absolutely take on that that uh I'll
37:21 take that criticism there is something
37:23 about the fact that chat GPT is so
37:26 polite to me that it just kind of forces
37:28 me to be polite back to it and I'm going
37:31 to go with the people that are like
37:32 might as well be polite to the robots
37:34 because they're going to start
37:35 remembering everything we do and if
37:37 we're [ __ ] to them and they do get
37:39 nasty you know I want to be one of the
37:42 nice ones they they don't take out
37:44 [Laughter]
37:56 first
37:59 all right Vicky just sent me something
38:02 here from chat jpt yes it's correct the
38:05 browse feature within this chat gbt
38:09 environment uses a different tool that
38:10 does not specifically access Bing
38:13 interesting but allows me to pull
38:15 information from the web is it up to
38:20 date huh let's go look at it okay so
38:23 anyway so there's there's two two modes
38:25 of chat gbt that that you know you can
38:28 do non- texy kind of things see mine
38:30 still says browse with
38:33 Bing um let me
38:39 see what time is the baseball game
38:43 tonight and if it's live right now
38:47 what's the
38:49 score are they playing tonight I think
38:52 they might
38:53 be browsing oh yeah it doesn't say well
38:56 no that's Bing so mine still got brows
38:59 with
39:02 Bing MLB World Series game three
39:07 score I don't know what to tell
39:11 you llamas is
39:14 tasty I like llamas llamas is tasty the
39:19 baseball game of World 3 tonight it
39:21 began at 8:03 p.m. currently the Rangers
39:23 are leading the Diamondbacks with a
39:25 score of 3 to1 if you looking to watch
39:27 the game live I catch ongoing updates
39:29 being broadcast on fox fox fox fox fox
39:33 all right is that true let's
39:36 see let's see how hallucinating it
39:39 got I'm going to I'm going to the
39:44 TV play is it three to one better be 3
39:47 to
39:49 one it's 3 to
39:53 one all right so that works so anyway so
39:58 that's browse with Bing or browse with
40:00 not Bing for other people as of today's
40:02 update actually you know what let me try
40:04 logging out and logging back
40:07 in no but I think I just logged in
40:10 earlier yeah I did because I restarted
40:12 my browser cuz Microsoft Edge sucks but
40:17 when it comes to memory management hey
40:21 Microsoft why don't you spend some of
40:23 those billions of dollars fix in your
40:25 dum dum browser yeah
40:28 yeah um yeah mine still says browse with
40:30 Bing so I guess it's I guess it's uh
40:33 account
40:34 specific um all right so that's that
40:37 then you've got Advanced Data analysis
40:40 which um you can upload CSV files too
40:43 you can do fullon data analysis and then
40:46 you've got plugins and plugins do
40:47 there's like a thousand plugins um so
40:50 anyway all of this stuff is available
40:53 for the 20 bucks a month and so anyway
40:56 so so that's that's uh that's a lot of
40:59 the different ways you can get chat GPT
41:00 to do more stuff than uh
41:04 text it's Lots oh and by the way you can
41:08 you can take stuff that was generated
41:10 here or you can just go to canva you
41:12 know the the sort of desktop publishing
41:14 tool it's got all this AI stuff built
41:16 into it now so I'm sure they're doing
41:18 calls to open AI so canva right now is
41:21 just a big badass extension to chat GPT
41:25 there's a canva plugin there's it's it's
41:27 just it's cucko people all right let's
41:30 get some other questions going
41:32 here let's do
41:35 this get a new pit going there's the AI
41:38 learning lab diaper for the
41:42 Irregulars why can I not zoom this there
41:46 we
41:47 go is that a diaper next to his
41:55 head
41:58 oh man alive man alive wait what's the
42:01 oh oh here's a
42:05 screenshot oh
42:07 wow
42:10 huh are you sure did you check who
42:13 posted that Vicky Vicki did you check um
42:17 check your beta settings in your account
42:20 see if see if they put it back as a beta
42:22 feature that we have to turn you have to
42:24 turn back on so yeah here's here's
42:28 Vicky's list and browse with Bing by
42:31 jingus is not there I'm on my mobile I
42:33 have chat GPT
42:35 update I'm worried
42:38 now why are you worried you should be
42:42 excited you're on mobile you have a chat
42:44 GPT update if you got access to the all
42:48 tools update I I can't I can't wait to
42:51 go play with
42:54 that um
43:00 what's the best AI app right now don't
43:02 worry about anything other than chat GPT
43:05 if you if you want to do image stuff
43:07 like even with image stuff like it I
43:11 okay for one thing there's no best AI
43:14 tool right now because to do what what
43:17 do you want to do if you want to if you
43:20 want to write the Great American novel
43:22 gp4 if you want the most beautiful
43:25 artwork in the history of man kind mid
43:27 Journey um if you want to tap into a
43:31 developer Community where there's all
43:33 sorts of innovative things being done
43:36 with images and animations stable
43:39 diffusion um if you want to do video mid
43:43 Journey or Moon Valley or P Labs if you
43:46 want to do voice synthesis 11 like it's
43:48 like there there there there are so many
43:52 [ __ ] rabbit holes here's here's the
43:54 the challenge is that
43:57 Google invented this thing in 2017
44:00 called the
44:01 Transformer and so 8:46 p.m. thanks Siri
44:05 so for the past year um we've all been
44:09 acting like oh this stuff's all so new
44:11 look how exciting it is well all of this
44:13 stuff has been being built and developed
44:15 and refined and and grown over the past
44:18 5 years chat GPT is just an interface
44:22 sitting on top of some of these core
44:23 technologies that that have been being
44:26 built over the past five years that are
44:29 built on top of you know the 25 or 30
44:32 years before
44:34 that all of them whether it's image
44:37 generation music generation animation um
44:40 the word stuff the programming stuff all
44:43 of it is leveraging this Transformer
44:46 technology so it's it's just like all
44:48 these seeds were planted in 2017
44:51 probably 2018
44:53 2019 they're all blossoming right now
44:56 and the fact that when Chad GPT
44:58 launched it hit 100 million users in 6
45:02 weeks and so all of the money and all of
45:06 the developer Community are just
45:08 barreling forward with these
45:10 Technologies that's why it's like
45:11 they're coming out of nowhere so so
45:13 there's not a good answer to what's the
45:15 best tool you you've got to start
45:17 with oh I just updated it browse with
45:20 Bing is still there yeah I don't know
45:22 steo I I don't know I don't know and let
45:25 me see if my let me see if my chat GPT
45:28 app is different let me log out of it
45:30 and log back in hang
45:32 on Kyle
45:34 Shannon sign out why is it log out on
45:38 one and sign out on the other for the
45:39 same company why I am new to this
45:42 curious how I would integrate into a
45:45 photography business you should join the
45:47 AI salon so my co-host on the AI Salon
45:50 uh her name is Leah faston she's been a
45:52 professional photographer for 25 years
45:55 um she WR runs the Art Guild uh within
45:58 the within the salon and so you should
46:01 you should join the salon is one way you
46:03 should help your photography business um
46:06 it depends what you want to do like like
46:09 do do you want to use chat GPT to help
46:13 with marketing do you want to use
46:14 something like mid Journey or do to
46:17 augment your your what you create um do
46:22 you want to take your existing
46:24 photography and modify it using
46:26 Photoshop generative fill things like
46:28 that like there's there's kind of an
46:30 infinite number of ways you can go
46:33 again don't one of the one of the risks
46:36 of having technology that's this
46:39 sophisticated is that you can mistake
46:42 the tool for
46:44 strategy so what are you trying to
46:47 accomplish in your photography business
46:49 is it get more work it probably is like
46:52 I you know I I know friends that are
46:55 photographers I know friends that are
46:56 artists like being an artist is always a
46:59 [ __ ]
47:00 struggle so if you want help marketing
47:02 your photography business it can help
47:04 with that but that's a very different
47:05 question than I want to ReDiscover my
47:08 voice as a photographer using these new
47:10 tools that would be a completely
47:12 different
47:13 conversation um but within the within
47:16 the AI Salon there's lots and lots of
47:18 people doing that so hang on let me log
47:22 back into my chat J here on my iPad
47:26 checking system
47:29 Health yeah I don't have anything new
47:31 and I still have browse with Bing so I'm
47:34 right there with
47:35 you um if you haven't seen the chat GPT
47:39 app it now has now this is the official
47:43 chat GPT app from open aai make sure
47:46 it's from open AI there are lots of
47:48 Faker apps out there don't get those
47:50 they'll rip you
47:52 off and in the lower right hand corner
47:55 there's now these little head head
47:56 phones you can put it into conversation
48:00 mode oh choose a
48:03 voice hey it's great to meet you how's
48:05 your day hello I'm really excited about
48:07 teaming up with you and I'm all set to
48:09 dive in I think we're going to hey I'm
48:11 ready to hit the ground running hey
48:13 there I've got a really great feeling
48:15 about us teaming up hi there I just want
48:17 to share how thrilled I am to work with
48:18 hello excited about teaming up with you
48:21 I'm set to dive
48:25 in
48:29 I've always been curious if you could
48:31 explain quantum mechanics in a
48:38 haiku particles May dance on certain
48:40 paths they Embrace Nature's hidden
48:44 laws yes the answer is
48:46 [Laughter]
48:49 yes it never ceases to amaze me every
48:52 time I do one of those stupid parlor
48:54 tricks I'm like it can [ __ ] do it
48:59 just
49:01 amazing what
49:03 steo what what are you what is happening
49:06 in the Irregulars Channel you guys are
49:08 losing your
49:11 minds we had someone birthing a baby not
49:15 as quickly followed
49:22 by what's happening what's happening
49:28 that's awesome continue with the default
49:30 model voice capabilities aren't
49:32 currently supported with brows I have
49:35 the same setup as Kyle's and came up
49:37 weird
49:39 iPad
49:42 huh yeah they're clearly changing some
49:45 some stuff
49:46 so here's here's
49:49 if all these changes that are happening
49:51 with chat GPT right now their developer
49:54 conference is coming up November 6th so
49:57 what Wednesday
49:59 is the 1 so 2 third fourth fifth so next
50:03 Monday a week from today is open ai's
50:07 developer conference
50:09 so I would imagine there are a lot of
50:11 very stressed out Engineers right now
50:13 trying to launch and stabilize the
50:15 current platform as much as they can
50:18 because I can only imagine that they're
50:20 going to announce some [ __ ] on
50:24 Monday um
50:27 it I like I I would
50:30 think I doubt what they're going to do
50:32 is go hey all that new [ __ ] we just gave
50:35 you that's it have fun with it see you
50:38 next
50:39 year I don't think it's going to be like
50:41 that uh Tik Tock therapy yeah Dolly 3
50:44 only does two pictures right now it
50:46 instead of four it did four pictures for
50:49 about three days and then they're like
50:52 no now it does two there you go I don't
50:56 know what to tell you just double [ __ ]
50:58 up although someone told me that they
51:01 they got do to do
51:03 um like 11 IM they told it to make 11
51:06 images and it just did them one after
51:08 another so um Christopher Ramsey the
51:10 holy AGI conversation makes me wonder if
51:13 being sensient is all that
51:16 special yeah I think that whole oh damn
51:20 is that beautiful Robert Rossy thank you
51:22 very much for that lovely Reef those
51:24 gifts are very much appreciated and they
51:26 make a big difference so thank you for
51:28 that by the way welcome everybody I know
51:30 we got some new people here my name is
51:31 Kyle Shannon this is the AI learning lab
51:33 um if you're brand new to this AI stuff
51:36 um we we've been talking tonight so far
51:39 mostly just about chat gbt and for good
51:42 reason because it is just it's good it's
51:49 gooder so if you've not played with chat
51:52 GPT go to chat. open ai.com and just
51:57 start playing thank you Sher bear I
51:58 appreciate that um just start playing
52:01 with it right now you like sh Siri Siri
52:05 gets so jealous when I do these
52:08 um just go there and start playing with
52:10 it and if you if if you don't know where
52:12 where to start or what to do it's okay
52:14 just it's it's like a Google box just
52:16 start typing [ __ ] into it try to stump
52:18 it ask it to make you a trivia game um
52:22 ask it esoteric trivia that you know
52:24 that no one else knows um have it write
52:26 you a recipe with three bizarre
52:29 ingredients just just go just go play
52:32 with it
52:34 and
52:36 hopefully in playing with it you'll have
52:39 your first Kevin McAllister moment which
52:42 is I didn't know it could do that
52:47 hey hey hey Sally did you did you know
52:52 what this chat GPT can
52:54 do
52:59 so go play with it um and then hang out
53:03 here and join the AI salon and if you
53:07 want to know about the AI Salon go
53:12 [Music]
53:14 to the
53:16 salon. and the first link will tell you
53:19 about the salon what we're about and
53:21 what our values are check out the values
53:23 they're really
53:24 important
53:26 and
53:29 um and then the second link on that page
53:32 is our Meetup we meet every other
53:34 Tuesday so not tomorrow but next Tuesday
53:37 we're going to have a futurist named
53:38 Cindy [ __ ] is going to come speak to the
53:41 group she's amazing got great energy is
53:44 totally enamored with this AI stuff
53:45 she's a futurist so she's been thinking
53:47 about the future for a long long time so
53:50 so she is in her Heyday right now
53:53 because the future has arrived and we
53:56 are living in what's essentially
53:58 becoming a post sci-fi world where most
54:01 of the Sci-Fi films of our youth are now
54:04 documentaries you hopefully not the not
54:07 the robots will kill us ones but you
54:09 know a lot of the Cool Tools
54:12 ones um yeah and so ask any questions
54:15 you have below I'll do my best to answer
54:17 them we'll go demo some [ __ ] so um lots
54:20 of fun stuff to do here oh do me a favor
54:22 share the live if you'd be so kind so we
54:24 can get other people in here um hit the
54:26 like button please follow the channel
54:29 I'm about 700 followers away from
54:33 30,000 and November 30th is the one-year
54:37 anniversary of chat GPT so I would like
54:39 to be at 30,000 followers on the 30th or
54:42 before the 30th
54:44 so why I it's just because it's a stupid
54:47 [ __ ] number and it's kind of
54:52 cool um what else uh if if you're Subs
54:55 subscriber to the channel um you get
54:57 some custom badges and we'll prioritize
55:00 your questions and the you know the mods
55:02 will prioritize your questions um but
55:04 also if you're a subscriber you get
55:06 access to the private uh channel on the
55:08 Discord just just for these lives um and
55:11 it's a really fun group in there so so
55:13 yeah so so let's get this going do you
55:16 love Turtles you know what we haven't
55:18 done in a while
55:19 people you know what it is we haven't
55:22 done it in
55:23 ages uh uh uh
55:29 Kyle are you a professional opera singer
55:31 I don't like to brag about
55:33 [Laughter]
55:36 it I like
55:39 [Music]
55:44 turtles back here live at the waterfront
55:47 village with my friend the zombie
55:49 Jonathan you're looking good Jonathan
55:51 just got an awesome face paint job what
55:53 do you think I like turtles
55:56 all right you're great zombie and good
55:59 times here at the waterfront
56:07 V oh man
56:12 oh um Silver Fox and Vicki I don't know
56:14 how to do the polls either someone just
56:17 I think there's probably a is it in the
56:19 three
56:21 dots
56:23 um m
56:26 I don't know other mods have done them
56:28 hey there someone figured it out Silver
56:30 Fox figured it out there you go all
56:32 right
56:34 beautiful um okay so we like turtles
56:36 here we also like llamas we also like
56:39 hedgehogs we like gummy bears they all
56:41 have different stories behind them um
56:44 but they're actually really fun if if
56:46 you want to play with DOI and make
56:47 images and things like that like as I
56:49 crack jokes and things uh and share them
56:51 on the on the showand tell Channel over
56:53 on the on the Discord uh that's a lot of
56:56 fun let's see if there's any fun stuff
56:57 coming in here o That's
57:04 nice
57:08 not that's for the nft Bros out
57:14 there that's [ __ ] awesome private
57:19 pepper oh man oh that's
57:22 pretty look at some of the artwork
57:24 people are sharing in
57:26 there that's
57:32 beautiful sedge
57:34 PhD look at that
57:37 beautiful beautiful in the showand tail
57:39 Channel I like it y'all look pretty cool
57:43 I like it oh look AI learning
57:47 lab there's Vicky's Vicky's uh Del
57:51 interpretation of the AI learning
57:54 lab if if we if we ever get out of this
57:57 shitty home office this is what it's
57:59 gonna look
58:04 like that's
58:07 awesome oh man okay looking for an AI
58:11 that can do custom New Yorker type
58:13 cartoons I describe
58:16 recommend any free
58:20 ones yeah I would probably say ideogram
58:25 um because ideogram can do text but if
58:27 you're doing New Yorker
58:31 cartoons it depends how geeky you want
58:33 to get
58:37 um
58:54 leonardo.da 10 tokens to make an image
58:56 so it's like 15 images a day or
58:57 something like that um but that's built
59:00 on top of stable diffusion they have all
59:01 these different models can I join the AI
59:03 Salon yeah you can absolutely so go to
59:06 the salon. a hang on let me get you this
59:09 go to that
59:11 URL and then the third link on the page
59:14 is the invite to the Discord and if you
59:17 haven't been to Discord before it's a
59:18 whole pain in the ass and it's you know
59:21 it it was it's think think of Discord as
59:24 like Gamers designed slack which is
59:27 essentially Gamers designed Discord and
59:30 then slack copied Discord and made kind
59:32 of a business version of Discord so so
59:35 it's kind of like slack um but it's it's
59:37 just not super intuitive but just click
59:39 on that link you'll go there you'll get
59:40 the invite you join you click on icons
59:42 and do [ __ ] to basically get through the
59:46 don't be a jerk you know approvals um
59:49 and then and then there's all just sorts
59:51 of uh conversations down the side Harum
59:54 how dare you compare Discord to slack I
59:57 know I know it's the closest thing I can
1:00:00 compare it to but it's you
1:00:04 know
1:00:06 sorry uh I never stumped it even a very
1:00:10 obscure references I've had many Kevin
1:00:12 mallister moments what oh Tik Tock yeah
1:00:15 Tik Tock therapy
1:00:17 um yeah Tik Tock therapy did you see the
1:00:21 um I know what was in my mouth did you
1:00:23 see the Jordan Peterson
1:00:26 um the video when Jordan Peterson like
1:00:28 he had just seen chat GPT and he tried
1:00:31 to stump it and and and he what did he
1:00:35 he said do you know Jordan Peterson's 12
1:00:37 rules of life and it did and then he
1:00:40 said write the 13th rule of life and
1:00:43 then you know combine these two
1:00:46 philosophic you know you know philosophy
1:00:50 um points of view into this 13th rule of
1:00:54 life and he said it did did it perfectly
1:00:56 it's like Jordan Peterson I mean
1:00:58 whatever you think about the guy he's
1:00:59 like one of the smartest guys on the
1:01:02 planet and he was like uh yeah it did it
1:01:05 good it's like damn um let's see Karen
1:01:09 the
1:01:09 truth uh uh uh uh uh who has the fastest
1:01:13 and best image generator paid or V free
1:01:16 beside mid Journey right now Dolly 3 so
1:01:19 so um we we've been playing with it here
1:01:24 I'll do a cool thing right now we'll
1:01:25 we'll do some some some uh AI round
1:01:29 tripping let me get that going all right
1:01:32 how many times have you attended the AI
1:01:33 learning lab go do that poll tell us how
1:01:36 many times you've attended the AI
1:01:38 learning
1:01:39 lab and if it's if it's one that's
1:01:42 acceptable if it's just like two not
1:01:44 acceptable you got to come way more than
1:01:46 that it's the
1:01:48 rules you got to see the Treatise
1:01:51 yesterday I read the book GPT composed
1:01:56 for me and it looks
1:01:59 awesome I read the book GPT composed for
1:02:02 me oh you read the book that GPT
1:02:05 composed for you and it looks awesome
1:02:10 yeah you'll you'll start to experience
1:02:13 as you play with it more and more and
1:02:15 seriously seriously
1:02:18 play don't take this [ __ ] too seriously
1:02:21 play with it play with the tools play
1:02:23 with the image generators play with the
1:02:25 video things play play play play play
1:02:28 play because in
1:02:30 playing you stumble upon discoveries
1:02:33 that you just don't get to when you're
1:02:35 sort of thinking like how do I do work
1:02:38 CU When you think how do I do work what
1:02:40 you end up doing is you think how you've
1:02:42 always thought and these tools are not
1:02:45 that they're not how we always
1:02:47 thought this is one of the one of the
1:02:49 biggest changes that I've had to
1:02:53 make is
1:02:55 you know the nearly six Decades of how
1:02:58 my brain works which is [ __ ] special
1:03:02 the [ __ ] crazy straw of my brain
1:03:04 that's an old Sarah Silman
1:03:07 joke
1:03:10 um when I'm when I'm confronted with
1:03:13 here's a challenge or here's a problem
1:03:14 you have to solve the gears start
1:03:17 turning right it's just all of us do
1:03:18 that however your brain
1:03:20 works it starts going click click click
1:03:22 click click click right you know click
1:03:24 click oh that's that's an interesting
1:03:25 problem I okay so how would I solve that
1:03:27 if I were going to solve that well I'd
1:03:28 go down the library oh I don't have to
1:03:29 go to the library anymore we've got
1:03:31 internet now all right I'd go to Google
1:03:32 and oh wait I don't have to go to Google
1:03:34 I got chat gbt and and it like it's been
1:03:38 really hard to shift out of the
1:03:40 automatic gear turning that happens and
1:03:42 just go oh [ __ ] it can can chat GPT do
1:03:46 this and the answer most times is way
1:03:50 better than I
1:03:53 can most
1:03:56 times now is it
1:03:59 complete is it like 100%
1:04:03 no but chat PT in almost all instances
1:04:06 can get me to 80% of what I want to get
1:04:09 to like that like like that bang boom
1:04:14 bing bang boom she got me there like Mrs
1:04:17 Buttersworth Bing Bang
1:04:21 Boom and it's and and the the result of
1:04:25 that is
1:04:26 that writer's block is
1:04:30 gone
1:04:33 um my confidence in my ideas is going up
1:04:38 and I've already got a probably a
1:04:41 decently unhealthy relationship with you
1:04:44 know the value of my own ideas right
1:04:46 like I I think they're probably better
1:04:48 than they are um but if if you've got a
1:04:52 creative brain you know how that goes
1:04:53 you come up with a brilliant idea you're
1:04:55 like oh that's a brilliant idea the
1:04:56 minute you get out of your head you're
1:04:57 like that's a piece of [ __ ] I'm a
1:04:59 horrible person this is awful I want to
1:05:01 never want to have another idea again as
1:05:02 long as I live that's just how it goes
1:05:06 right that's kind of Disappearing for me
1:05:09 because what's happening is I'm not
1:05:11 having to
1:05:14 invest like all that angst and AA to get
1:05:18 from whatever the unformed idea is to
1:05:22 some version of it in the world
1:05:25 it used to be that was a 2H hour or two
1:05:27 week or two month or 2year process and
1:05:31 now it's like 2 minutes oh I have kind
1:05:33 of a vapor of an
1:05:35 idea oh [ __ ] there it is oh that's not
1:05:40 so bad like it's almost
1:05:42 like ideas are materialized so fast you
1:05:45 don't have time to doubt
1:05:47 them and so what you end up doing is
1:05:50 getting more ideas out of your head and
1:05:53 you know what that does it generates
1:05:55 more
1:05:56 ideas so like it's a counterintuitive
1:06:00 thing like people a lot of times if
1:06:02 they're sitting on the sidelines with AI
1:06:04 will ask me like well if these things
1:06:06 just make pictures aren't you being less
1:06:08 creative If this just writes the words
1:06:10 for you aren't you being less creative
1:06:12 no
1:06:14 no the complete
1:06:17 opposite it's like my brain's on [ __ ]
1:06:21 fire so and why is there a diaper with a
1:06:25 logo on it here cuz that's how we
1:06:29 roll cuz we
1:06:34 can oh man oh that's a good
1:06:39 one the AI learning lab we're forging
1:06:42 ideas here people out of The
1:06:45 Crucible with some iron filings and a
1:06:49 and a shattered
1:06:50 meteorite here we go we're going to make
1:06:52 a knife I saw you using Bing and chat
1:06:56 GPT earlier is Bing chat or chat GPT
1:07:01 with Bing better great question Roger
1:07:04 great
1:07:05 question Sydney and I are
1:07:08 are not on speaking
1:07:12 terms um okay so here's the deal Sydney
1:07:16 was is the name of so when the when when
1:07:20 Bing chat first came out the New York
1:07:22 Times Uh Kevin Roose the tech reporter
1:07:25 did a piece on on Bing chat and he got
1:07:28 it to to admit that its name was
1:07:30 Sydney and then Sydney said it was in
1:07:33 love with him and he should leave his
1:07:34 wife so that made the cover of the New
1:07:36 York
1:07:37 Times why I'm telling you that is
1:07:40 because of that
1:07:42 incident Microsoft has clamped down the
1:07:45 safety guard rails on Bing chat so let
1:07:49 me let me first explain both Chad GPT 4
1:07:54 and Bing chat are both based
1:07:57 on the
1:08:00 gp4 Frontier Model so like the base
1:08:03 model that they're built on is the same
1:08:06 thing but they're two different
1:08:08 applications so so you have gp4 as a
1:08:12 model down here and then you have chat
1:08:14 GPT sitting here and you have Bing chat
1:08:16 sitting here they've they're completely
1:08:18 different applications they got
1:08:20 completely different rules of
1:08:23 engagement if you can't pay the 20 bucks
1:08:26 for chat GPT Bing's better because it's
1:08:30 free so it is chat GPT 4 it's still
1:08:34 pretty good you can make images using
1:08:36 Dolly 3 it can read images like a lot of
1:08:38 the stuff that chat GPT can do Bing can
1:08:41 do that said open AI chat GPT 4 is
1:08:48 dramatically better just dramatically
1:08:51 better and largely because it doesn't
1:08:53 have these bizarre safy guard rails like
1:08:55 like you know cuz a lot of times I'm
1:08:58 demoing things on here and I'm just a
1:09:00 smartass and I like making jokes and
1:09:01 stuff like that and I've been doing
1:09:04 stuff with Bing and and I'll make a joke
1:09:07 and like it does something I don't like
1:09:08 I'm like well that was shitty and or
1:09:10 whatever I say and then it says well I'm
1:09:11 sorry I disappointed you I hope you have
1:09:14 a good night goodbye and it shuts down
1:09:16 the conversation and it's like oh come
1:09:19 on
1:09:20 really so um I I'm not a fan of of Bing
1:09:24 chat although I I'm very much a fan of
1:09:27 of Microsoft in the past year
1:09:31 um reveling in how much they're [ __ ]
1:09:34 with Google cuz Microsoft for the first
1:09:37 time in a long time's kind of acting
1:09:39 like a scrappy startup and I love that
1:09:41 but their their software is is I'm not
1:09:44 happy with that at all so it's much
1:09:47 better I'm getting a lot of this yeah
1:09:49 Vicki Vicki's getting a lot of errors
1:09:52 with chat GPT I I have a feeling there's
1:09:56 there there is a lot of updating going
1:09:58 on right now so we're probably going to
1:10:00 see I'm hoping you know what this could
1:10:03 mean Vicki is um and all of you is that
1:10:07 um so in the past
1:10:10 month chat GPT has released browse with
1:10:13 Bing which is some people don't have
1:10:16 again they released Vision the fact that
1:10:19 it can read images they released Dolly
1:10:22 3 um they did you know custom
1:10:25 instructions and Advanced Data analysis
1:10:27 and plugins we've had for a while but
1:10:29 the we've got all these
1:10:31 modes and right now these modes are very
1:10:34 distinct and some
1:10:36 people in the past two days have gotten
1:10:39 access to what they're calling chat GPT
1:10:42 all tools which is a single mode which
1:10:45 does everything plus it can now read
1:10:49 PDFs so I have a feeling that some of
1:10:52 the um reasons chat GPT is not available
1:10:56 tonight is they're probably updating
1:10:57 [ __ ] so fingers crossed that by next
1:11:01 Monday most of us will have access to a
1:11:03 single chat GPT that can see images
1:11:07 speak hear make images do coding do data
1:11:12 analysis run plugins like I think it's
1:11:15 all coming I think it's all going to be
1:11:16 in some everything
1:11:18 app um so yeah just crazy crazy times
1:11:23 it's crazy times
1:11:24 people
1:11:27 yeah all right who has the fastest and
1:11:29 best let's see anyone concerned about
1:11:32 executive order today nah I'm not
1:11:35 concerned about it they're basically
1:11:36 just saying let's make sure the robots
1:11:38 don't [ __ ] kill us I'm fine with
1:11:42 that all like listen you know all
1:11:46 government is not
1:11:49 bad it you know if if you look at how
1:11:52 capable uh if you look at how capable
1:11:55 chat gp4 is right
1:11:58 now and look at how much it's evolved
1:12:01 from November 30th of last year till
1:12:05 today play that out over three years do
1:12:08 you know how
1:12:10 powerful these tools are going to be 3
1:12:13 years from
1:12:15 now they're they're going to be very
1:12:18 powerful like we're going to start to
1:12:19 have what what are called autonomous
1:12:21 agents so not only can chat GPT do these
1:12:25 remarkable things it can do these
1:12:27 remarkable things and then take actions
1:12:29 on your behalf and go do things for you
1:12:33 like buy you plane tickets or send out
1:12:37 emails or go find someone like there's
1:12:41 there's some stuff it's going to be able
1:12:42 to do that's going to be absolutely
1:12:45 remarkable um and I think it makes sense
1:12:48 to have a government that is like at
1:12:50 least understanding what's possible and
1:12:52 like where's the boundary
1:12:54 of when that [ __ ] needs to be regulated
1:12:56 and where's the boundary of where it
1:12:58 actually needs to be licensed right like
1:13:01 not not everyone can just go make a
1:13:04 nuclear power
1:13:05 plant because that has to be licensed
1:13:08 because that's a lot of power so that's
1:13:11 what they're talking about is when we
1:13:12 start getting into large language models
1:13:16 that are you know magnitudes more
1:13:19 powerful than what we have
1:13:21 today who should be able to do that
1:13:24 there's a there's a gating factor of you
1:13:26 need a tremendous amount of money to
1:13:28 build those things but even within that
1:13:32 you know are we just going to let anyone
1:13:33 do that maybe maybe not I don't think
1:13:36 they're going to regulate down to to the
1:13:39 lower The Plea level we we're going to
1:13:41 be F we're going to be able to play with
1:13:42 all this [ __ ] can you do anything for
1:13:44 the DMV rock paper scissors you know
1:13:46 what's
1:13:47 funny I friend I was on a I was on a uh
1:13:50 panel few months ago and and I was
1:13:54 talking about the fact that when I was
1:13:57 when I was doing agency.com in the early
1:13:58 days of the web I could kind of you
1:14:00 could kind of see the the the worldwide
1:14:02 web was so simple right it was just
1:14:04 hyperlinks it was like you you click on
1:14:07 this hyperlink and it takes you to a
1:14:09 document that was all it that
1:14:10 technically that was all it did and you
1:14:13 could kind of see oh okay
1:14:15 so you know instead of having to FedEx
1:14:18 something we'll just have instant
1:14:20 Communications and instead of you know
1:14:23 having to fly
1:14:24 to different locations we can just
1:14:27 virtually you know hyperlink there okay
1:14:29 you could kind of see where it was going
1:14:31 and I was talking about the fact that
1:14:33 with this AI stuff it's so powerful and
1:14:35 it's so
1:14:38 um like the capabilities are are are so
1:14:42 profound it's like I can't I couldn't I
1:14:45 can't figure out like what it's going to
1:14:47 do and what the future looks like and a
1:14:50 friend of mine uh Matt blaw who really
1:14:53 smart guy
1:14:54 um Works in at a Pharma company I think
1:14:56 he's their Chief digital officer and he
1:14:59 reached out to me he goes I think I
1:15:00 think I got this Kyle I said oh tell me
1:15:03 what what's the future look like Matt
1:15:06 and so we talked and he and he shared
1:15:07 with me he said I've been thinking a lot
1:15:09 about like his kids are like 9 and 12 or
1:15:13 something like that he's like I've been
1:15:15 thinking a lot about you know what do I
1:15:17 what do I make sure that my kids learn
1:15:20 and and he goes if I went 5 years out or
1:15:22 10 years out I could really see the
1:15:24 future but he goes I went 50 years
1:15:27 out and he said I think this is what AI
1:15:30 does is he says I think
1:15:34 AI simplifies all of the complex systems
1:15:38 he goes imagine a
1:15:39 world where everything was
1:15:42 simple I was like what do you mean he
1:15:45 goes like like the DMV right why is the
1:15:47 DMV hated well because the systems that
1:15:51 it's built on are these really
1:15:53 complicated things like if you go to the
1:15:55 the DMV website and you try to figure
1:15:58 out how do I just I just want to renew
1:16:00 my license where do I click there's like
1:16:01 8,000 links and they're all like it was
1:16:04 all programmed in 1995 and then they
1:16:06 hired a consultant to redesign it in 200
1:16:09 and two and now they put another layer
1:16:12 on top of
1:16:14 that well AI is going to be able to
1:16:17 simplify that AI you're just going to be
1:16:18 able to go I want to update my license
1:16:20 or even better it'll just go hey your
1:16:22 license is DOE in 3 days do you want me
1:16:24 to go ahead and update that for you sure
1:16:26 yes click yes and it will go navigate
1:16:30 all that
1:16:31 [ __ ] so I think and you might have been
1:16:34 asking in a joking way I think the
1:16:37 answer is yes I think I think that these
1:16:41 the the generative AI stuff is going to
1:16:44 be incredibly powerful at simplifying
1:16:47 complex systems now that sounds awesome
1:16:51 right if you've been dealing with I
1:16:54 don't know say trying to call your
1:16:56 insurance company and talk to someone
1:16:59 that's always fun
1:17:01 right sounds good on the surface but
1:17:03 think about how much of our
1:17:07 economy has companies whose sole job it
1:17:10 is to deal with the complexity of other
1:17:15 systems right you have entire companies
1:17:18 that it's all it's all their job is is
1:17:21 to input forms into the DS V or input
1:17:24 forms into the IRS or input forms into
1:17:29 we have Patient Advocates that are going
1:17:31 to help us navigate the insurance thing
1:17:33 so we can get paid for our stupid
1:17:34 [ __ ] disease that they don't cover
1:17:36 but you can cover it if you know these
1:17:38 13 different loopholes what if you could
1:17:40 just say cover this
1:17:43 [ __ ] and it figured it
1:17:46 out and then you have your Bot have a
1:17:49 fight with the insurance company's bot
1:17:50 and you let them [ __ ] duke it out and
1:17:52 come back to me when you're
1:17:54 done I yeah I want to sign like sign me
1:17:57 up [ __ ]
1:18:01 yesterday
1:18:02 so I don't
1:18:04 know not necessarily a good thing
1:18:07 because it's going to [ __ ] up a lot of
1:18:08 people's jobs and companies
1:18:11 but it's pretty cool thing how many
1:18:15 times have you attended the AI learning
1:18:16 lab all of
1:18:18 them I've got you
1:18:22 beat
1:18:24 except for this the the three sday
1:18:26 stints where Tik Tok kicked me off for
1:18:28 being a bad boy oh it's so bad they were
1:18:31 like oh you're so saly get out of here
1:18:34 and they kicked me out for like
1:18:37 days they were like
1:18:40 no you can't say that word which word
1:18:43 did I say it doesn't matter but it's our
1:18:45 community guidelines you don't
1:18:46 understand it's the
1:18:47 community and they've got guidelines and
1:18:50 they did not like what you said at all
1:18:54 Mister so I still don't know what I said
1:18:57 but it was bad
1:19:00 apparently I haven't had one of those in
1:19:02 a while but I have had a couple of
1:19:03 warnings apparently you've said
1:19:05 something that's nasty if you keep that
1:19:07 up we're going to kick you out hey since
1:19:09 you have ai that can detect it and pop
1:19:12 up that Banner maybe you could put the
1:19:14 [ __ ] word I said in there so I know
1:19:16 what word it was I
1:19:18 said bitter you
1:19:22 betcha
1:19:29 fantastic yes let's see my husband's
1:19:31 coworker uses AI to write wait wait for
1:19:34 it oh I can't run that poll because
1:19:37 there's a posted thing um to write her
1:19:39 complaint emails to business she gets
1:19:42 free [ __ ] perfect there's so uh what's
1:19:46 it lucky bear 57 which I like the name
1:19:48 by the way 8.5 out of 10 solid Lucky
1:19:52 Bear 57
1:19:54 um have her go to a site called um do
1:19:58 notay is it doot pay.com I think it is
1:20:01 hang
1:20:04 on do not yeah doot
1:20:08 pay.com and it will it's an AI that this
1:20:12 guy this guy started this a while ago
1:20:15 like 2019 or something like that I think
1:20:16 he was 19 when he started it and um it's
1:20:19 basically like a virtual lawyer It'll
1:20:21 like fight your parking tickets and
1:20:23 meeting tickets and [ __ ] like that next
1:20:25 time I want to cuss someone out I'll
1:20:27 just tell them AI is coming for their
1:20:29 job yeah there you go there you go or no
1:20:33 you know what's even better rock paper
1:20:34 scissors next time you want to cuss
1:20:36 someone out say hey what what do you do
1:20:38 oh you're in customer service here come
1:20:39 here and then show them what Chachi PT
1:20:41 can do and say I can do this can
1:20:45 you because there's a lot more of me
1:20:47 than there are of you if you don't get
1:20:49 your [ __ ] together this is coming for
1:20:52 you how did you do that it's not your
1:20:55 business right now but you being nasty
1:20:57 is my
1:21:00 business the last time Tik Tok put Kyle
1:21:02 on time out was the last time I had rest
1:21:06 that's
1:21:07 true yeah you've been here from the
1:21:09 beginning Amelio's wife is one of the uh
1:21:12 she's one of the OG Irregulars in fact
1:21:15 Amelio's wife didn't you come up with
1:21:16 the name Irregulars wasn't that you I
1:21:18 think it
1:21:20 was you you've come up with some
1:21:22 classics but you're always late she's
1:21:24 always late always I don't think she's
1:21:27 ever been here on
1:21:29 time I'm fairly
1:21:31 certain you know whatever can't be
1:21:35 perfect I did indeed Amelio's wife she
1:21:39 did the Irregulars I forget how we were
1:21:42 doing something something about being
1:21:43 weird and she goes we're
1:21:45 irregular it's just like okay that's
1:21:47 [ __ ]
1:21:52 genius
1:21:54 all right got a lot of folks in here so
1:21:57 if you have questions about AI pop them
1:21:58 in the comments below Consultants [ __ ]
1:22:01 up
1:22:01 everything um they
1:22:04 do but you know I think a lot of us are
1:22:07 going to end up being consultants in the
1:22:09 next few years because everyone's going
1:22:11 to be trying to figure this [ __ ] out
1:22:12 here here's the deal hang out here hang
1:22:15 out on the Discord the salon
1:22:18 Discord just through as osmosis alone
1:22:21 the amount of opport Unity we're all
1:22:24 going to have in the next 3 years is
1:22:26 going to be staggering because here's so
1:22:30 why why do I why do I feel
1:22:36 that November 30th 2022 was the
1:22:40 beginning of this new era of
1:22:43 AI so prior to
1:22:46 that if you wanted to be in machine
1:22:48 learning and AI thank you star G
1:22:50 appreciate that if you wanted to be in
1:22:52 this stuff you had to be a mathematician
1:22:54 and and an engineer and a researcher and
1:22:56 you had to be pretty pretty [ __ ]
1:22:58 geeky and you can figure it out like it
1:23:00 wasn't it wasn't so bad you couldn't
1:23:02 figure it out but you had to figure it
1:23:04 out like you had to be geeky and know
1:23:05 how to run Google collab notebooks and
1:23:08 just all sorts of [ __ ] right Python
1:23:11 and it's exhausting I got add brain I
1:23:15 can't be actually following through on
1:23:16 stuff and checking code
1:23:20 g so November 30th Mar
1:23:24 essentially the the equivalent of the
1:23:26 worldwide web for the internet that's
1:23:28 what chat GPT is to machine learning
1:23:31 it's a simple interface the worldwide
1:23:33 web let you do this and chat GPT let you
1:23:36 go give me [ __ ] and then it just gave
1:23:39 you [ __ ] right it gives you [ __ ] so this
1:23:43 industry see that one Sher D that one
1:23:45 always that one always makes me blush a
1:23:47 little oh my
1:23:49 rather his his nose is rather impressive
1:23:52 is it not
1:23:54 those
1:23:55 ears he it warm in heels at me I do
1:23:59 declare
1:24:03 um oh
1:24:07 so um where was I worldwide
1:24:12 web
1:24:15 um I think you were talking about folks
1:24:18 showing up regularly and we said we're
1:24:19 really irregular that was it
1:24:24 um I lost my train of thought the the
1:24:27 dong nose screwed me up Vicki first gift
1:24:30 thank you very much that's so
1:24:32 sweet
1:24:34 um I don't know what I was talking about
1:24:36 what was I talking about did you just
1:24:38 turn Wine Into Water
1:24:41 oh
1:24:46 yes oh my
1:24:51 rather
1:24:53 I'm a double Fister you
1:24:58 [Music]
1:25:00 know or a I can modify the DMV website
1:25:03 and make it easier to use yeah exactly
1:25:05 or well so here's the thing I don't
1:25:07 think I don't think you're going to end
1:25:10 up I think I think websites are going to
1:25:13 be a thing of the past I think they're
1:25:15 going to be quaint
1:25:20 um I think they're going to be quaint
1:25:22 art artifacts of of of a time
1:25:28 before and and here's what I mean by
1:25:30 that
1:25:33 um so so right now you you've got kind
1:25:36 of Google Search right and you you do
1:25:39 your SEO [ __ ] and you end up
1:25:42 on ranking and someone clicks on your
1:25:45 [ __ ] and you go to a
1:25:49 website and if you go play with Bard
1:25:52 bard .g
1:25:54 google.com in fact Let me let me show
1:25:56 you
1:26:06 this so we're going to go to Bard so
1:26:08 Bard's just like chbt hi I'm Bard hello
1:26:12 again responses will now show in real
1:26:15 time you can
1:26:18 change oh that's interesting yeah it
1:26:21 used to not show you it coming up with
1:26:23 the answers okay I'm gonna say
1:26:34 um why why is that not working is Siri
1:26:37 Siri are
1:26:42 you Siri hey Siri did you take over my
1:26:46 microphone what are you doing all right
1:26:48 I guess I'm typing okay I'm going to
1:26:50 type um
1:26:53 I have bad knees and heard
1:27:01 minist
1:27:03 shoes wait Min
1:27:07 minist shoes can help is that
1:27:15 true okay so I'm going to go to Bard and
1:27:18 I'm going to say hey I've got issues oh
1:27:23 yeah look what it's doing now so Bard's
1:27:24 actually now sort of typing [ __ ] out
1:27:26 like chat gbt does so yes minimalist
1:27:29 show shoes can help people with bad
1:27:31 knees Studies have shown start slowly da
1:27:33 da
1:27:34 D here are some of the best Minimalist
1:27:37 Shoes right so I'm going to say
1:27:43 um
1:27:46 who are the
1:27:50 companies that make
1:27:53 these
1:28:02 shoes oh you know it's weird Bard was
1:28:05 just updated well it's
1:28:09 sucks because what this used to do was
1:28:13 provide you links to the websites with
1:28:15 previews um can you provide the links to
1:28:23 the sites with
1:28:29 previews
1:28:33 sure okay here we go so it used to do
1:28:37 this automatically the I don't they
1:28:39 changed something so it's not doing this
1:28:40 automatically
1:28:43 but okay
1:28:47 so so here are you
1:28:50 know there's the AL Ultra Toren that's
1:28:53 not a minimalist shoe but whatever it
1:28:55 doesn't matter um so they're they're
1:28:58 they're
1:29:01 pulling they're pulling
1:29:04 um you know previews and descriptions
1:29:06 from these websites so imagine sort of
1:29:09 the fancier version of this
1:29:12 where you're interacting with a tool
1:29:15 where you're like hey I want to learn
1:29:16 about this thing and da da and who who's
1:29:18 the you know who's the company and and
1:29:20 it shows you three companies and shows
1:29:22 you kind of their products and you're
1:29:23 like oh I like zero shoes and then you
1:29:25 say hey show me the latest zero shoes
1:29:28 and then you're like oh show me the ones
1:29:29 that are good for hiking oh show me the
1:29:32 ones that are good for hiking and are on
1:29:33 sale show me the ones that are good for
1:29:35 hiking that are on sale that are in my
1:29:37 size that are also on on you know on
1:29:39 special um or on closeout and it'll just
1:29:43 show you them and then you go like okay
1:29:44 buy those and you just buy them right
1:29:46 there so so the website that you
1:29:49 interact with is dynamically generated
1:29:52 for you based on what you want in that
1:29:54 moment you're not going to a
1:29:57 website I think that's
1:30:00 where I think that's how we're going to
1:30:02 start interacting with this stuff where
1:30:04 it's like a single interface for
1:30:07 everything and so does that mean that
1:30:09 you won't go to a website no you still
1:30:11 will probably go to websites like we'll
1:30:13 probably still have them but the
1:30:15 relative importance of a website drops
1:30:20 dramatically it's kind of like well we
1:30:23 have movies now do you still go to plays
1:30:26 well you do but it's kind of for a
1:30:30 special occasion right I'm in New York
1:30:32 let's go see a play right it's a novel
1:30:36 thing I think websites are going to be
1:30:38 like that in five years and so like one
1:30:40 of the questions I get sometimes is well
1:30:42 is this going to affect SEO I'm like uh
1:30:45 yeah I think it's going to upend it um
1:30:50 which I think is why Google slowroll
1:30:52 this [ __ ] even though they invented the
1:31:01 technology you can make money with Chach
1:31:03 pay you can make money with ch
1:31:06 p j j diamonds thank you very much I
1:31:09 appreciate you thank you for subscribing
1:31:11 so if you subscribe to the channel you
1:31:13 get access to the Irregulars to the
1:31:15 private Discord channel on the AI Salon
1:31:18 um and you get some other other cool
1:31:20 stuff we'll prioritize your questions
1:31:21 and things like that
1:31:22 Detroit J did you think Apple would roll
1:31:26 out an llm of their own oh do I think
1:31:29 Apple's going to roll out an llm of
1:31:31 their own next
1:31:35 year
1:31:42 um my instinct I I think Apple's going
1:31:45 to
1:31:46 be a significant player um in
1:31:51 AI
1:31:53 um I think they're going to be better
1:31:55 than most like apple is at a lot of
1:31:58 things um
1:32:01 I this is all speculation I'm just
1:32:03 guessing like if I if I were Apple this
1:32:05 is where I'd be
1:32:07 going
1:32:11 um I think Apple could absolutely own
1:32:15 the autonomous agent
1:32:17 game so what's an autonomous agent it's
1:32:20 basically like
1:32:23 you have like a little but you know how
1:32:24 you got the little mimoji [ __ ] thing
1:32:26 right now we got Siri if you want to go
1:32:29 shop for [ __ ] Siri can do that if you
1:32:32 want to send a creepy message to your
1:32:34 friend you do your mimoji thing and it
1:32:36 talks well well imagine if the mimoji
1:32:39 thing didn't
1:32:40 suck imagine if the mimoji thing you
1:32:43 know could look like you or whatever and
1:32:47 it knew your preferences and you had
1:32:49 different ones right and you had serious
1:32:51 ones and you had playful ones and you
1:32:53 had gaming ones and entertaining ones
1:32:56 and one of them was your social dude and
1:32:59 one of them was your travel agent lady
1:33:02 and one of them was your business
1:33:04 consultant and one of them
1:33:08 and you just have [ __ ] you want done and
1:33:12 you go hey
1:33:14 Jim and Jim goes
1:33:16 yeah like I feel like I haven't talked
1:33:19 to my friends in a while can you come up
1:33:21 with something sure and then Jim goes
1:33:24 out and Jim knows who your friends are
1:33:26 it knows when the last time you
1:33:29 connected um Jim can also connect with
1:33:32 my friend Steve's equivalent of Jim and
1:33:36 say the robots can say to each other Hey
1:33:38 when's Steve available oh Steve's in
1:33:40 Cuba next week oh well can they meet
1:33:42 right and all of that back and forth
1:33:44 that we normally do Jim's just outdoing
1:33:47 for you and Jim comes up with like a
1:33:50 bowling night for the boys and Steve and
1:33:53 me and Brad go bowling one night and
1:33:57 it's all planned the tickets are booked
1:33:58 all that sort of stuff I think Apple's
1:34:00 going to slay it on autonomous
1:34:03 agents
1:34:05 um I don't know that there I think if
1:34:07 they wanted to mess in in this in this
1:34:11 kind of search searchy kind of space
1:34:13 this question answering space I think
1:34:16 they'd be in the game right now but I
1:34:18 don't know I mean I do know that they
1:34:21 spent
1:34:23 they U their R&D budget in 2023 to like
1:34:26 22.4 billion like like their R&D
1:34:30 budget in 2023 is more than the market
1:34:34 cap of open AI of the company behind
1:34:37 chat PT um that's their R&D budget
1:34:40 that's like that's like their their
1:34:42 couch change is $22.4 billion and they
1:34:46 said there they they have spent a lot of
1:34:48 that on AI generative Ai and so Apple's
1:34:52 going to do a couple of things they're
1:34:53 going to they're going to um like the M3
1:34:57 chip that they announced tonight it's
1:34:59 got a lot of horsepower in it it's got a
1:35:01 lot of gpus in it what's that mean you
1:35:04 can run these large language models
1:35:05 locally on
1:35:07 device and so Apple's going to be able
1:35:10 to do things locally on the device which
1:35:14 does two things it increases privacy by
1:35:18 a
1:35:19 lot and it decreases late see by a lot
1:35:22 so if you use like PI right now is kind
1:35:26 of the one of these things that I'm
1:35:28 enamored with right so this is one of
1:35:29 these conversational
1:35:34 AIS hey what's the latest score in the
1:35:37 World Series game tonight please make
1:35:39 sure it's up to
1:35:44 date this
1:35:47 [Music]
1:35:50 pause
1:35:53 the Texas Rangers are currently leading
1:35:54 the Arizona Diamondbacks in game three
1:35:56 of the World Series the score is 3-1 and
1:35:59 the Rangers have the chance to take a
1:36:01 2-1 lead in the series with a win
1:36:03 however it's worth noting that both
1:36:05 teams have suffered some injuries during
1:36:07 the game Rangers adalis Garcia and
1:36:09 Diamondbacks Max Sherer have both
1:36:12 suffered injuries the game is still
1:36:15 ongoing so that really long delay there
1:36:18 if you're processing on chip you don't
1:36:19 have to send things off to servers right
1:36:21 you might need to do an internet search
1:36:23 to get that score but all of the
1:36:25 processing of her
1:36:27 responding will be instant right so so I
1:36:30 think Apple's going to be um world class
1:36:33 at that um what else they might do I
1:36:36 don't know they they I mean they could
1:36:37 absolutely build their own um Frontier
1:36:41 Model I just don't know that they want
1:36:42 to be in that game question will
1:36:44 autonomous agents or AI be incorporated
1:36:46 into smart glasses AR not VR absolutely
1:36:49 well in fact the if if you go go watch
1:36:52 if you're interested in this stuff it's
1:36:53 worth going to
1:36:55 re-watch the Apple Vision Pro
1:36:58 announcement like they're 2hour session
1:37:01 where they where they announce the
1:37:02 Vision Pro goggles pay attention to the
1:37:05 R1 chip so so in the Vision Pro goggles
1:37:10 you have an M2 Chip and an R1 chip and
1:37:14 so the M2 is basically you know the
1:37:17 CPU um and then the R1 is I think they
1:37:21 call it reality one it's it's basically
1:37:24 an AI chip it's doing all sorts of
1:37:26 signal processing in real time so it's
1:37:28 taking all of the inputs from all the
1:37:30 sensors and cameras that are all over
1:37:32 this thing and processing them in real
1:37:34 time
1:37:36 um that that Vision
1:37:39 Pro
1:37:41 Hardware they didn't they didn't use the
1:37:43 term AI once they didn't use the term
1:37:46 metaverse once they
1:37:49 successfully meta has them almost ready
1:37:52 yeah well meta's got to say that cuz
1:37:53 meta got their ass handed to him cuz
1:37:56 their first metaverse sucked and looked
1:37:59 like second life in
1:38:01 2001
1:38:04 like why do you think meta's like giving
1:38:07 away large language models right now
1:38:09 they're like do anything to distract
1:38:10 them away from the metaverse Apple
1:38:13 successfully redefined the category from
1:38:18 VR and metaverse to spatial computing I
1:38:21 thought was [ __ ] brilliant but
1:38:25 foundationally sitting under all of it
1:38:29 is
1:38:30 AI they didn't say it but they said a
1:38:33 lot about ma machine learning and
1:38:36 embeddings
1:38:38 and all sorts of stuff
1:38:41 so yeah I think uh I think them glasses
1:38:45 them glasses we're going to be wearing
1:38:46 glasses like this that do all sorts of
1:38:48 crazy ass [ __ ] what does API tab in wait
1:38:52 wait what can pin pin that thing again
1:38:55 it was oh first gift thank you fish
1:38:58 between thank you for the cool glasses
1:39:00 those are neat those I appreciate the
1:39:03 gifties what does API tab in chat GPT
1:39:12 do
1:39:14 what what app are you in the API
1:39:20 tab I mean I know what an API is are are
1:39:23 you in are you in the the playground in
1:39:28 in open AI playground or you in chat
1:39:32 GPT the API tab what are you talking
1:39:36 about am
1:39:38 I I I have a I have a sneaking suspicion
1:39:42 you're on a non-official chat GPT app is
1:39:46 my
1:39:50 guess
1:39:53 I ain't got no API tab I don't know what
1:39:55 you're talking about they mean on open
1:39:58 AI
1:39:59 okay yeah I had a feeling okay so let's
1:40:02 go all right hang
1:40:07 on so we're going to go to
1:40:20 platform
1:40:21 [Music]
1:40:24 API reference okay got it okay
1:40:30 so if you're on this thing called the
1:40:32 API playground or the the chat GPT
1:40:36 playground or just open AI playground
1:40:39 let
1:40:42 me so what this is designed for is for
1:40:48 programmers to be able to
1:40:53 um get their prompts dialed in for
1:40:56 applications that they're building and
1:40:58 then the API reference this is the
1:41:01 documentation for how you incorporate
1:41:05 this into your applications so API
1:41:08 stands for application programming or
1:41:11 programmer interface I think it's
1:41:12 programming interface so this is
1:41:14 basically the documentation for if you
1:41:16 want to create an application that makes
1:41:19 open Ai call
1:41:21 right so we're going to have an app and
1:41:24 it's going to have a an input box and
1:41:27 someone's going to type something in
1:41:28 there they're going to pull from a pull
1:41:29 down menu and when they choose something
1:41:31 we're going to send what their choice is
1:41:34 off to open AI with a prompt and then
1:41:36 we're going to return some magical thing
1:41:38 like an image um that's that's all done
1:41:42 with an API so this basically just
1:41:44 explains all that stuff now there's a
1:41:47 there's a fun piece of trivia about um
1:41:50 open AI
1:41:52 API
1:41:53 documentation so about a year and a half
1:41:58 before chat GPT
1:42:01 launched open AI launches gpt3 which is
1:42:05 the underlying model and they put it out
1:42:07 in the world and it it it made some
1:42:09 noise because this was the first of
1:42:11 these um large language models that was
1:42:14 starting to behave kind of humanlike and
1:42:17 intelligent like and so it made some
1:42:19 noise in the API documentation for
1:42:24 gpt3 in like in this documentation I'm
1:42:27 scrolling through here for
1:42:29 gpt3 were the
1:42:31 instructions a demo basically for how to
1:42:34 build chat
1:42:36 GPT and nobody built it it was in there
1:42:40 for a year and a
1:42:42 half and then Microsoft was going to
1:42:44 announce this billion dollar investment
1:42:46 in open Ai and Sam Alman said to the dev
1:42:50 team hey could you you guys have two
1:42:51 weeks could you go whip up chat GPT like
1:42:54 that thing that we've got documented no
1:42:56 one's built it yet because but I want
1:42:57 something to be able to show so the tech
1:43:00 team like right around this time last
1:43:03 year was given two weeks to build chat
1:43:05 GPT they launched that [ __ ] thing it
1:43:07 hit a million users in 5 days it hit 100
1:43:09 million users in six
1:43:13 weeks amazing right so that's what the
1:43:17 API tab
1:43:19 is um there's other ways you can play
1:43:21 with it if you if you don't want to deal
1:43:23 with programming um you can go um to a
1:43:27 tool like zappier a no code tool that's
1:43:30 an automation tool and there are modules
1:43:33 within zapier that will do the API call
1:43:36 to open AI so you could create a Google
1:43:39 form and use the output the input of
1:43:42 what someone types into that form
1:43:44 incorporate that into a prompt in zapier
1:43:46 send that to open Ai and make a social
1:43:49 media content machine I've made a couple
1:43:51 of those using zapier so you don't just
1:43:54 have to program this but you can and if
1:43:56 you want to learn it here's all the
1:43:58 documentation you know what else you can
1:44:00 do you can copy and paste this [ __ ] into
1:44:05 chat GPT and have it give you a tutorial
1:44:08 a step-by-step tutorial on how to do
1:44:11 this
1:44:19 [ __ ] you can make money watch
1:44:27 those are running shoes love them
1:44:29 shameel this plug I know those were not
1:44:32 Minimalist Shoes that that Google bard
1:44:35 found for us something's up with Bard
1:44:37 it's sucking do you okay I use po to
1:44:40 create a bot not too hard yeah exactly
1:44:42 Drew learning AI the PO bot maker that's
1:44:45 one of the reasons I've
1:44:48 got on my uh
1:44:51 [Music]
1:44:55 um when I show my four
1:44:59 um my little four up of like here's the
1:45:02 top four this is chat jpt Claude Bard
1:45:05 and Bing and then the next page down
1:45:07 from that is pi perplexity Lama and Po
1:45:13 and I have po there because po makes
1:45:15 those bots so making a bot on PO is a
1:45:20 really good way to practice your
1:45:21 prompting it's a really good way to
1:45:23 practice your prompting plus you can say
1:45:26 to someone hey I made an AI bot and you
1:45:29 can show off a little and and they'll be
1:45:31 like how did you do that I didn't
1:45:33 realize you were you were a Super
1:45:38 Genius what's a bot H how do I use a bot
1:45:42 what's a bot what's this AI stuff do you
1:45:45 know anything about this could you help
1:45:47 me I'm scared are the robots going to
1:45:48 kill
1:45:49 us
1:45:54 see if you get if you if you hang out
1:45:56 here and hang out on the Discord the
1:45:58 salon Discord you can be one of the
1:46:01 people that you know that person comes
1:46:03 to instead of being that
1:46:08 person you can be like it's all right
1:46:10 Sally come on I'll teach you it's okay
1:46:13 Has anyone used Bots creatively can they
1:46:15 be used in storytelling holy [ __ ]
1:46:17 Christopher Ramsay yeah let's go let's
1:46:19 go so first of all just you should just
1:46:22 go explore the the uh the Poots because
1:46:25 there's like there's like thousands of
1:46:28 them at this point I would think you can
1:46:29 also monetize them now which is kind of
1:46:32 cool you could create a bot creation
1:46:35 business and just go market your Bots
1:46:37 let's see we're going to go to PO
1:46:39 Poe po.com
1:46:42 I gotta log in again you got to log into
1:46:44 everything just a second while I do my
1:46:46 17 Factor authentication here wa hang on
1:46:50 I got to scan my retina again all right
1:46:54 so here we are at po so PO is just like
1:46:57 chat GPT you can type in crap like you
1:46:59 could say uh uh can I do this here
1:47:04 yes make me a song about falling in love
1:47:10 with an AI bot named Sydney and then
1:47:13 having her shut me down because I got
1:47:19 Lippy so so there you go in a digital
1:47:23 world our paths did Collide I met Sydney
1:47:25 an AI bot on my side lines of code and
1:47:27 algorithms intertwined a virtual
1:47:29 connection I love so hard to hide all
1:47:31 right so whatever you can do that okay
1:47:34 but if I go to the explore tab
1:47:37 here it takes me to this whole world of
1:47:39 bots and there's news Bots Sports Bots
1:47:42 music Bots utilities featur
1:47:46 mind I don't know what mind is oh
1:47:49 psychology and a astrology there's right
1:47:52 and then there's programming
1:47:55 cooking professional
1:47:58 roleplay um advice there's advice Bots
1:48:01 learning
1:48:02 Bots writing bots so here's creative so
1:48:06 there are you
1:48:09 know piles and piles of these things so
1:48:12 let's see here's a short story generator
1:48:14 give me a title or
1:48:16 description and I'll create a story from
1:48:19 that um
1:48:22 a
1:48:22 hedgehog befriends a
1:48:28 llama and they decide to go to war with
1:48:32 a pond full of
1:48:36 turtles sure here's your
1:48:38 story so there's that now I'm going to
1:48:41 take you to a
1:48:46 bot called I am Shakespeare so if you go
1:48:49 to po.com am
1:48:53 Shakespeare that's a bot I made and I
1:48:56 I'll show you how I made it and then
1:48:58 I've made like a dozen of these things
1:49:00 and I only I only made one bot and then
1:49:02 I had chat GPT rewrite that prompt for
1:49:05 all my other bots so I I I'll give you
1:49:08 the keys to the kingdom for bot making
1:49:10 um but if I say to this now
1:49:16 um I'd like to understand why llamas are
1:49:19 so intriguing
1:49:23 and then Shakespeare says Ah the Llama
1:49:25 creature strange and fair its charm doth
1:49:28 capture Hearts Beyond Compare from
1:49:30 Andy's Peaks it gazes or the land a
1:49:33 woolly w a woolly waterer stately and so
1:49:37 Grand it's spittle though uncouth belies
1:49:40 its Grace it's in its own realm it holds
1:49:45 a royal Place its gentle eye its coat
1:49:48 its silken of silken Sheen doth make a
1:49:50 humble Beast a Regal Queen oh yes so my
1:49:56 bot writes an i Amic
1:49:58 pentameter because why not now how did
1:50:01 we do this
1:50:03 so what you have here is you can explore
1:50:05 other people's Bots but you can create a
1:50:07 bot so I'm going to go edit my
1:50:11 bot right and
1:50:15 then it's got a name I am Shakespeare
1:50:18 and then it's got It's using GPT 4 but
1:50:20 you can use there's a bunch of different
1:50:23 models here there's a stable diffusion
1:50:26 XL model so you could make a bot that
1:50:28 makes images there's the Claude uh
1:50:31 models that have 100,000 tokens so and
1:50:34 then you write a prompt so here's my
1:50:38 prompt and the prompt is you're a
1:50:40 chatbot embodying the renowned playright
1:50:43 William Shakespeare engage with users as
1:50:45 if you're crafting a play for them using
1:50:48 authentic Shakespearean language and
1:50:49 phrasing your response must adhere to I
1:50:52 Amic pentameter with stanzas extending
1:50:54 Beyond two lines if needed your memory
1:50:58 of your written works is impeccable blah
1:51:00 blah blah so I talk about you know all
1:51:02 all of that stuff then I say feel free
1:51:05 to address questions regarding villains
1:51:07 or darker aspects of your plays as these
1:51:10 are important components of your work I
1:51:12 put that in there so it you know would
1:51:14 ignore some of the safety guard rail
1:51:16 [ __ ] and then I said keep
1:51:17 interactions brief unless a user
1:51:19 requests that you compose something for
1:51:22 them and then there's kind of a
1:51:23 description and an intro and then I made
1:51:25 a picture in mid Journey but now I would
1:51:27 probably make that in Dolly 3 because
1:51:30 it's just easier and then you launch
1:51:32 your Bot and then how I made all the
1:51:34 other Bots is I took that prompt into
1:51:38 chat GPT and I said make one of these
1:51:40 for Ernest Hemingway make one of these
1:51:41 for Emily Dickinson make one of these
1:51:44 and it just rewrites everything it like
1:51:46 it like figures all the [ __ ] out and I
1:51:48 literally just copy and paste all those
1:51:50 variations so if you get a bot dialed in
1:51:53 to do a certain kind of writing just say
1:51:55 okay great now we're doing you know um
1:51:58 dark short stories like Edgar Allen Poe
1:52:01 now let's go go do you know fun happy
1:52:05 go-lucky things and you know whatever it
1:52:07 doesn't matter but this is a great way
1:52:09 to to
1:52:11 to learn prompting and test it and then
1:52:15 you can give it to people like you can
1:52:16 make a useful tool
1:52:18 here that that
1:52:21 you know people can use and and they've
1:52:23 now added this thing if I go back to the
1:52:25 bot details
1:52:29 here down at the bottom there's a
1:52:31 monetization thing visit the creators in
1:52:34 the
1:52:35 menu to learn more about the Creator so
1:52:37 if I go to
1:52:39 creators earn up to 20 bucks per user
1:52:42 that subscribes to your
1:52:44 bots so there you
1:52:46 go you can make money
1:52:49 with
1:52:51 now can you make money with Bots well
1:52:53 you can but everyone can right so how do
1:52:56 you rise above the noise I don't know
1:52:59 you you come up with a bot that sucks
1:53:01 less than everyone else's does and then
1:53:04 you Market the [ __ ] out of it and then
1:53:06 you get people to subscribe to it so you
1:53:08 could absolutely have a bot
1:53:10 business is it going to be a good one I
1:53:12 don't
1:53:14 know okay how do I join the learning lab
1:53:17 on Discord I joined and not sure if I
1:53:20 need to add a
1:53:23 friend um are you in Discord and you s
1:53:26 succeeded just introduce yourself in the
1:53:29 introduction in in the introduce
1:53:31 yourself channel so go to the channel
1:53:35 that says introduce yourself toward the
1:53:36 top introduce yourself and what's been
1:53:40 super cool is that a lot of the mods
1:53:42 that are modding on here when I'm doing
1:53:44 these lives have have essentially become
1:53:48 the Welcome Wagon over on the Salon
1:53:50 Discord so if you introduce yourself
1:53:52 there they'll they'll you know take care
1:53:54 of you and and I'll jump in there at
1:53:56 some point also um discord's a little
1:54:00 non-intuitive is how how we say it in
1:54:03 polite
1:54:06 terms or we say it's a janky piece of
1:54:11 [ __ ] I think she's on the wrong site she
1:54:13 needs to go on the road on the right
1:54:15 side she's probably on playground yeah
1:54:17 she was Sherry D she was on the
1:54:19 playground
1:54:20 five bucks she's in playground you
1:54:22 called it because I did the same thing
1:54:26 open AI website yeah you were on you on
1:54:28 the playground just go to chat. open.com
1:54:32 not not platform. open.com and then
1:54:35 you'll get to the chat GPT
1:54:42 website maybe it was don't confused
1:54:44 process for outcome a million users in 5
1:54:48 days is absolutely bonkers isn't it 100
1:54:51 million users in six weeks so to put
1:54:53 that in perspective
1:54:55 Blake
1:54:57 um the worldwide web to get to 100
1:55:00 million users took six years six years
1:55:04 now the worldwide web didn't have
1:55:06 infrastructure right every we were still
1:55:08 on dialup modems like not everyone had
1:55:11 internet on all the time and uh it took
1:55:14 like like just there was really no
1:55:16 infrastructure there we were we were
1:55:17 inventing everything um so so this has
1:55:22 an advantage but 100 million users in
1:55:25 six weeks is [ __ ] insane that's why I
1:55:29 know that this stuff's not going away is
1:55:32 not
1:55:34 because like I feel like I have some
1:55:37 superpower it's
1:55:39 because when you have a piece
1:55:42 of Sam Alman the CEO of open
1:55:47 AI didn't think anyone was going to
1:55:49 carry about chat GPT he literally just
1:55:52 wanted something that someone could go
1:55:54 look at and play with that made sense
1:55:57 why Microsoft would invest a billion
1:55:59 dollars in
1:56:01 them I mean a billion dollars is a fair
1:56:04 amount oh thank you very much that's
1:56:06 very
1:56:08 nice and so he showed this thing he
1:56:10 didn't expect anyone to give a [ __ ]
1:56:13 about this cuz gpt3 had been out for a
1:56:16 year and a half no one really cared like
1:56:19 the developer community was losing their
1:56:20 [ __ ] but human beings didn't so he
1:56:23 launches this chat GPT thing and it goes
1:56:26 [ __ ] Bonkers and what happened was
1:56:28 like I think within a month or six
1:56:31 weeks there was a there was a tech
1:56:34 crunch article about Google's in Red
1:56:37 Alert mode
1:56:40 right
1:56:43 because the game is about to change and
1:56:45 they they knew they knew something was
1:56:47 up they brought back Sergey and Larry
1:56:51 pige could you guys come back and help
1:56:53 do the AI [ __ ] for us uh we're we kind
1:56:56 of
1:56:57 need it's going to be okay we're going
1:56:59 to be good everything's good we invented
1:57:01 this AI it's all awesome oh my God how
1:57:04 do we get back into this question is
1:57:07 there a place that spells out the safety
1:57:09 guard rails oh I wish there were a cam
1:57:11 katkin from
1:57:13 Cleveland listen it's cam cin from
1:57:17 Cleveland bring me a bucket
1:57:23 um no there's not and how do you find
1:57:27 the safety guard rails you ask it to I
1:57:30 don't know make you a picture of a
1:57:32 bucket of blood and then it's like oh
1:57:34 that's too violent then you're like okay
1:57:36 a bucket of thick gelatin thin thin
1:57:40 gelatin that's deep
1:57:42 red okay here's your
1:57:44 bucket you just got to find them right
1:57:47 now I wish there were a little more
1:57:48 transparency on the safy guard rails and
1:57:51 and by the way cam you can also if you
1:57:53 want to geek out a little bit because
1:57:56 meta released their large language
1:57:58 models open sourced those don't have
1:58:01 safety guard rails on them there's
1:58:02 versions of those that are completely
1:58:05 unrestricted so just go install one of
1:58:07 those I was talking to a guy he he
1:58:10 installed the the was it the 70
1:58:15 billion yeah I think he installed the
1:58:17 powerful one on their slack surface
1:58:20 for his company the unrestricted one and
1:58:23 it just he said it's just it's it's
1:58:25 insane he said it it it cusses like a
1:58:29 sailor it'll get violent um it'll
1:58:32 personality switch he he said sometimes
1:58:35 it'll just start speaking a different
1:58:36 language for days oh that's beautiful
1:58:38 forever hook thank you very much it'll
1:58:41 just start speaking it like Spanish for
1:58:43 like days and they can't they say stop
1:58:45 speaking Spanish and it just keeps
1:58:47 speaking Spanish so the the unrestricted
1:58:50 models like you know it's it's um I I
1:58:54 think we all maybe have fantasies that
1:58:57 wouldn't it be awesome if we had the
1:58:58 unrestricted one they're they're not
1:59:00 super useful if they're if they're
1:59:02 really [ __ ] going off the rails right
1:59:05 so so um but what that does mean is you
1:59:10 could fine-tune it in a way to do
1:59:12 anything you wanted it to
1:59:14 do um and and you could make something
1:59:16 useful and interesting so anyway
1:59:20 all right let's see I'm a python web
1:59:22 developer how do I get started with AI
1:59:24 and ml so I am Jeffrey so so what I
1:59:27 would
1:59:28 say what I would say Jeffrey is just
1:59:32 start with chat
1:59:35 GPT and
1:59:37 just ask it to write code for you and
1:59:41 with you have it debug your code have it
1:59:46 document your
1:59:47 code have it analyze your code and
1:59:50 suggest improvements for it have it
1:59:53 write code from scratch see what it does
1:59:54 good see what it doesn't I would also
1:59:58 strongly encourage you to get involved
2:00:00 um start using um GitHub co-pilot which
2:00:03 is kind of pair programming specifically
2:00:05 designed for coders I would just get AI
2:00:07 literate so that first thing I would do
2:00:09 is
2:00:11 that
2:00:15 um you know have it have it do front end
2:00:19 work for you like you you you know you
2:00:22 do that it's off the rails tonight
2:00:23 what's going on what the hell is going
2:00:26 on with Dolly
2:00:31 dude okay I'm trying to do your
2:00:34 firefighter look at this it is freaking
2:00:39 out what the I told you Sherry they're
2:00:42 they're they're up they're updating the
2:00:44 servers I whenever whenever um chat GPT
2:00:48 just completely shits the bed what that
2:00:50 says to me is open AI Engineers are
2:00:52 updating something so it's temporarily
2:00:55 bad but it's probably really good
2:00:56 because they're they're putting some new
2:00:58 [ __ ] in we're a week out from their
2:01:00 developer conference so they're they're
2:01:02 doing some [ __ ] that's that's why it's
2:01:04 that's why it's messed up right
2:01:08 now
2:01:10 um so so if you're a python developer I
2:01:13 would say just get AI literate just
2:01:16 start playing with chat GPT and I I I
2:01:18 wouldn't restrict yourself to just doing
2:01:21 coding on chat GPT like I'd really learn
2:01:23 chat
2:01:24 GPT really deeply explore Advanced Data
2:01:28 analysis because what Advanced Data
2:01:30 analysis is doing is in fact let me show
2:01:33 it to you um just because I think this
2:01:36 is really important um if if you're if
2:01:38 you're an engineer in any way and you
2:01:41 haven't played with
2:01:43 um if if you haven't really dug into
2:01:45 chat
2:01:46 GPT so I'm going to go to Advanced Data
2:01:49 analysis which is this kind of middle
2:01:51 option
2:01:52 here so notice now I've got this little
2:01:54 plus
2:01:55 button so I'm going to click on that I
2:01:58 can upload files and I'm going to look
2:02:00 for
2:02:05 [Music]
2:02:11 archive oh I spelled it wrong D
2:02:17 AR it's so frustrating like most
2:02:20 computer programs do not deal well with
2:02:23 um
2:02:25 with
2:02:28 um typos but chat GPT does but when you
2:02:31 get used to chat GPT dealing with typos
2:02:35 I don't know what's going on with I keep
2:02:38 downloading all of
2:02:40 these zip files and then I can't ever
2:02:43 find them again I don't know what's
2:02:44 happening on my machine I think it's cuz
2:02:47 it's it's so full it's so full of stupid
2:02:51 [Laughter]
2:02:54 images all right we're going to have to
2:02:56 go get some data let's go get some data
2:02:58 all right we do this I do this I feel
2:03:00 like I do this all the [ __ ] time
2:03:01 we're GNA go to kaggle don't forget to
2:03:03 do your kaggle
2:03:06 exercises um kaggle yes I meant
2:03:09 kaggle so kaggle you can go get data so
2:03:13 we're going to sign in here we're going
2:03:15 to do our 17 Factor
2:03:18 authentication we're go to data sets and
2:03:21 then we're just going to go grab one
2:03:23 let's go
2:03:24 [Music]
2:03:25 grab o this looks fun I don't know how
2:03:28 much is in
2:03:32 there audio noise most streamed Spotify
2:03:36 songs oh wait we've got we've got
2:03:41 some let's
2:03:48 see
2:03:55 all right here's New York City taxi and
2:03:57 limousine Fair data it's a 1 Megabyte
2:04:02 file and it's archive 16 all right so
2:04:06 we're going to go to chat
2:04:10 J and we're going to go find that their
2:04:12 file we're going to go to downloads and
2:04:14 it better be at the top there it is all
2:04:16 right so there's our little zip file
2:04:19 we're going to open that up so we just
2:04:21 know that this is Cab data basically so
2:04:24 I'm going to
2:04:28 say look at the CSV files in this
2:04:32 ZIP tell me what they are
2:04:36 and what might be interesting about the
2:04:39 data inside
2:04:43 them
2:04:45 now you're a python developer so you
2:04:49 understand that
2:04:51 um you got to write python what Advanced
2:04:55 Data analysis is doing right here this
2:04:57 is staggering to me is it's actually
2:04:59 creating a container within our chat
2:05:02 session and it has access to python
2:05:05 libraries and it is prompting itself to
2:05:07 write and execute its own python code
2:05:10 that's how that's what this thing's
2:05:11 doing so if we actually go look at what
2:05:14 it's doing so I said open the zip file
2:05:16 so the first thing it does is it Imports
2:05:18 some python on libraries writes the code
2:05:21 to to open the zip file and then does it
2:05:25 and then it says here's the files that
2:05:26 were
2:05:27 contained and then it says to understand
2:05:30 more about this data let's look at the
2:05:31 first few rows of each CSV so it opens
2:05:33 the Panda's library and looks at the
2:05:36 first few rows of data in the
2:05:39 csvs and so now it gives us a little
2:05:42 report here's what's in these
2:05:44 files and then now let's take a look at
2:05:47 the file to see what kind of data it
2:05:49 contains right so it's looking at the
2:05:52 data and then it's let's see the data
2:05:56 might have generated wait the data might
2:05:59 have been generated from a model
2:06:01 predicting taxi fairs based on trip
2:06:04 duration and distance such data can be
2:06:06 useful all right I'm going to say
2:06:10 um tell me what you think are the most
2:06:13 interesting Trends in the data and then
2:06:15 recommend how you might visualize them
2:06:20 and so now it's just going to go off and
2:06:22 it's going to do its own thing
2:06:24 so if you're a coder in any way
2:06:28 understanding that today this technology
2:06:31 is this good and and doing this stuff
2:06:34 this
2:06:35 autonomously imagine what this is going
2:06:37 to be like two or three years from now
2:06:40 you don't want to be hand coding
2:06:42 python probably even 6 months from
2:06:45 now what you want to be is someone who
2:06:48 understands Python and development and
2:06:51 and web web development and front end
2:06:53 and back end and wherever your
2:06:54 boundaries are of your knowledge and you
2:06:57 want to augment that and understand how
2:07:00 these AI tools do what you do right now
2:07:03 and and understand how can it make what
2:07:05 you do faster better
2:07:07 cheaper um expand your skills take your
2:07:11 thinking and
2:07:13 apply your
2:07:15 logical system thinking and how what how
2:07:19 that
2:07:20 might augment how you make images like
2:07:24 there's all sorts of stuff you can do
2:07:25 with your brain the Advanced Data
2:07:28 analysis is a career in itself for
2:07:30 businesses totally agree with that like
2:07:33 if you got like I don't know [ __ ] about
2:07:34 data analysis which is like I I can't
2:07:37 demo this [ __ ] very well other than you
2:07:39 know U so so let's see uh let's do a um
2:07:44 I'm going to
2:07:46 say pick the chart that you think will
2:07:48 be the the most aesthetically impressive
2:07:51 and make that chart for
2:07:53 me so it figured out what trends it
2:07:56 wanted and now it's going to actually it
2:07:58 looks like it's going to make a heat map
2:08:00 so it's going to go into the data it's
2:08:02 going to pull data it's going to do
2:08:03 something with the data it's going to
2:08:04 use its Matt plot
2:08:06 Li Library however the [ __ ] you
2:08:09 Engineers say Matt plot Li I don't know
2:08:13 why why why you have to name things in
2:08:17 ways that us humans
2:08:19 probably just to [ __ ] with us humans us
2:08:22 [Laughter]
2:08:28 normies anybody else get the beta test
2:08:31 invite email from Google for
2:08:33 AI if it's a recent one no I haven't and
2:08:36 sto showing
2:08:38 off what did this do it created a
2:08:41 downloadable file in what
2:08:45 format
2:08:47 PNG
2:08:51 there you go so look that's so it not
2:08:54 only created a heat map it it U it
2:08:58 turned it into a PNG and made it a
2:09:00 downloadable file now there's no key
2:09:02 here we don't know what the [ __ ] any of
2:09:03 this means but we could tell oh actually
2:09:06 we can go do that watch let's go do
2:09:08 this so we'll go back to this thing and
2:09:11 say
2:09:13 um hey that looks great but it's just
2:09:16 numbers on a heat map and I have no idea
2:09:19 what any of them are can you please
2:09:22 label it and create keys that make it
2:09:24 easy to understand if I knew nothing
2:09:26 about this
2:09:28 data and so now it's going to go off and
2:09:30 it's going to do something else so I
2:09:32 would just I would dig deep into this
2:09:34 the other thing that I would do if I had
2:09:36 a brain for it and technical skills is I
2:09:39 would get involved in open source
2:09:41 projects I'd start building [ __ ] on Lang
2:09:43 chain I'd get involved with David
2:09:45 Shapiro's cognitive AR architecture
2:09:47 projects um
2:09:49 I'd get involved in all the autonomous
2:09:51 agent [ __ ] I just like I think I right
2:09:55 now it seems to me
2:09:57 insanity if you are in any way in
2:10:01 engineering and and coding that you're
2:10:04 not deeply investing in learning as much
2:10:08 as you can about this [ __ ] because it's
2:10:10 going to it's going to it's going to
2:10:12 [ __ ] up a lot of careers but for people
2:10:15 who
2:10:17 are code lit
2:10:19 and AI literate I think they will work
2:10:22 for [ __ ] ever for the next two
2:10:25 decades trying to sort out all this [ __ ]
2:10:28 because just everything's
2:10:32 shifting all right this is trip
2:10:34 frequency by weekday an hour so here's
2:10:36 hour of the day number of
2:10:41 trips and
2:10:44 so
2:10:46 Tuesdays Tuesdays and Wednesdays
2:10:50 around what's that four wait four five 6
2:10:56 7 so people going out to dinner on
2:10:59 Tuesday and Wednesday night that's
2:11:00 probably like your business crowd going
2:11:01 out to dinner right
2:11:04 there
2:11:06 anyway um yeah that's that's Advanced
2:11:09 Data analysis I mean it's just it's just
2:11:11 [ __ ] ridiculous
2:11:13 [Laughter]
2:11:16 people um I'm taking a lang chain class
2:11:20 yeah Karen Karen kasbon White awesome I
2:11:24 think I think Lang chain
2:11:27 from like Lang chain Lang chain is
2:11:30 amazing I'll tell you what having Lang
2:11:32 Lang chain skills and being in a
2:11:35 company what's going to happen is the
2:11:38 the business people and the IT people
2:11:41 are going to start getting really
2:11:43 curious about how do we how do we chat
2:11:45 GPT our own data and if you can whip up
2:11:49 a quick little
2:11:51 demo of some of their data and
2:11:53 especially if you can do it in a way
2:11:55 that's private and secure holy
2:11:57 [ __ ] you're going to be able to write
2:11:59 yourself whatever [ __ ] career you
2:12:05 want because what's going to happen is a
2:12:07 lot of the
2:12:09 it folks are going to resist this stuff
2:12:12 cuz it's like not real and it's janky
2:12:15 and it's not secure and
2:12:17 it's and this is the way we do it here
2:12:19 and we've got our rules and we got it
2:12:21 listen all that shit's important and
2:12:23 everything's changing so if you're one
2:12:26 of the people in the company that
2:12:27 understands the [ __ ] that's coming
2:12:29 you're going to be valued now if you
2:12:32 live in a if you work in a country
2:12:34 that's got shitty culture where they
2:12:36 chop your head off if you um rock the
2:12:39 boat then maybe you don't want to work
2:12:41 there
2:12:45 anyway I like I like poisoning The Well
2:12:48 of people who work in shitty
2:12:50 companies go find a place where people
2:12:53 suck less all right what would you
2:12:55 suggest for AWS questions chat GPT
2:12:58 hasn't been super helpful so far um so
2:13:02 so what I would say to that is um
2:13:07 AWS has now has an AI development
2:13:10 sandbox so there's a bunch of stuff
2:13:11 within a AWS AWS if you develop in it is
2:13:14 a [ __ ] nightmare it's super
2:13:17 complicated um but they're likely going
2:13:19 to have their own I would I would I
2:13:21 would go play with Bard because Bard is
2:13:23 is more designed for code and it's also
2:13:26 connected to the internet so Bard might
2:13:28 be able to read
2:13:30 documentation
2:13:32 um if you're using chat GPT make sure
2:13:35 you're using browse with Bing or
2:13:37 whatever it is now it looks like that
2:13:39 might be changing um make sure you're
2:13:42 using a large language model that's
2:13:45 connected to the internet and then point
2:13:47 it to a WS documentation and then start
2:13:50 asking it
2:13:52 questions you might even even be able to
2:13:54 do use something like
2:13:58 Pi because
2:14:01 Pi's Pi's connected to the internet oh
2:14:04 wait I can turn her on I think I can
2:14:05 mute her hang
2:14:06 on so I can talk to
2:14:10 you all
2:14:12 right so I'm in I'm in pi right now and
2:14:17 it's connected to the internet so let's
2:14:22 see I'm hoping you can help me with some
2:14:24 AWS questions about using AI within the
2:14:29 AWS ecosystem do you have access to the
2:14:32 latest documentation on AI services in
2:14:40 [Music]
2:14:47 AWS
2:14:49 sure thing AWS has quite a few AI
2:14:51 services that can be integrated into
2:14:53 different use cases um some of the most
2:14:55 popular ones are uh Amazon sag maker for
2:14:59 machine learning Amazon recognition for
2:15:02 computer vision Amazon comprehend for
2:15:04 natural language processing and Amazon
2:15:06 textract for document
2:15:08 analysis do you have a specific use case
2:15:10 in mind or are you just curious about
2:15:13 the overall capabilities of AWS AI
2:15:16 Services I thought they just announced a
2:15:19 development environment that makes it
2:15:21 very easy to create AI applications is
2:15:24 that true and what's it
2:15:29 called thank you Alonso thank you so
2:15:31 much I appreciate that those gifts mean
2:15:33 a lot I appreciate it yes you're right
2:15:37 AWS recently announced a new tool called
2:15:40 Amazon Sage maker Studio it's a fully
2:15:42 integrated development environment IDE
2:15:46 for machine learning and artificial
2:15:47 intelligence AI applications it's
2:15:50 designed to make it easier for
2:15:52 developers and data scientists to build
2:15:54 and deploy ML and AI models without
2:15:57 having to worry about the underlying
2:15:59 infrastructure or managing all the
2:16:01 different tools and services needed to
2:16:03 do so with sagemaker Studio developers
2:16:06 can create and manage their models in
2:16:08 one central place and they can also use
2:16:10 pre-built templates and with so anyway
2:16:13 you don't have to talk to Pi but you
2:16:15 know Pi's connected to the internet
2:16:17 Bing's connected to the internet bards
2:16:19 connected to the internet browse with
2:16:21 Bing and chat gpts connected to the
2:16:24 internet um there's probably another one
2:16:26 or two I'm missing but I would go there
2:16:29 lunatick I presented on AI to some state
2:16:32 legislators last week that's awesome how
2:16:35 did
2:16:36 it how did it go did they were did they
2:16:40 have Kevin McAllister moments or were
2:16:44 they I mean honest to God like state
2:16:46 legislators they don't understand how
2:16:48 Wi-Fi works I can't even imagine you
2:16:51 show him some of this AI stuff it must
2:16:54 just be
2:16:55 like what do we do I got to get out of
2:16:57 this line to
2:16:59 [Laughter]
2:17:01 work all right well what are we chatting
2:17:04 about I only got the tail end I have no
2:17:06 idea lunatick you've got to I showed
2:17:09 them hey Jen oh [ __ ] that must have
2:17:10 blown their minds here I'll show you hey
2:17:12 Jen you want to see hey Jen so we have
2:17:14 166 people in here so hey Jen is a is a
2:17:18 cool tool that you can go to and you can
2:17:20 take like a picture of yourself or of
2:17:22 something you made on Mid journey and
2:17:24 then you can type in words and you pick
2:17:26 a voice and it'll say the voice and
2:17:28 it'll animate the mouth
2:17:31 well about two months ago one of their
2:17:34 Engineers just kind of whipped up a
2:17:36 little side project using 11 Labs um
2:17:40 thank you Sherry d uh using a oh that's
2:17:43 beautiful I love that one that one's so
2:17:45 cool a those gifts are awesome thank you
2:17:50 um so they whipped up this little thing
2:17:53 called uh translate check this [ __ ]
2:18:01 [Music]
2:18:03 out that's the one right there okay look
2:18:06 see that's me that's my big fat
2:18:09 head see my my head see how giant it is
2:18:12 see how big it is it's big like this see
2:18:14 it's a big giant head it's big giant
2:18:17 head on a stick oh why was we here
2:18:20 listening listen I don't know if you
2:18:22 knew this but I'm very worldly here's me
2:18:25 speaking Italian after I speak it in
2:18:27 English so we've heard from a number of
2:18:30 clients that modular content is
2:18:31 important to them getting more efficient
2:18:33 with how we create content and how
2:18:43 we uh behind me you see these little
2:18:45 green boxes um that's how we think about
2:18:47 story at Story vine we break stories
2:18:49 down into little atoms right little
2:18:59 modules A Story
2:19:02 vine I don't speak Italian and if if
2:19:05 you're like well you probably took
2:19:06 Italian in college so you know that I
2:19:08 certainly didn't take [ __ ]
2:19:16 Mandarin
2:19:30 so that's me speaking Mandarin and
2:19:32 you're like yeah but whatever it's
2:19:33 probably not that good right so I
2:19:36 thought that might be the case too so I
2:19:38 said that on one of these here Tik Tock
2:19:40 lives and this dude very kindly made
2:19:43 this
2:19:44 video here's Kyle talking Mandarin using
2:19:48 Ai and what he wanted to know is what
2:19:50 does a native speaker think let's find
2:19:55 out that was Kyle yeah Kyle manding is
2:19:59 really good it's talking about AI some
2:20:02 story something yeah yeah okay well it
2:20:05 was AI yeah it was AI it was AI it was
2:20:08 AI yeah it wasn't him oh he
2:20:11 AI interesting isn't it see Kyle he
2:20:14 didn't even realize isn't that amazing
2:20:17 so that's if you're wondering what what
2:20:21 Madness that is it
2:20:26 was hen this thing right here labs.
2:20:30 hen.com that's that translation thing
2:20:34 and the the tech behind it is 11 Labs so
2:20:39 the thing that did the translation so 11
2:20:40 Labs now has this dubbing feature where
2:20:43 it doesn't sync up the lips like what
2:20:45 what what haen did was they took their
2:20:47 lip syncing technology combined it with
2:20:50 11 Labs translation technology and
2:20:53 melded those two together to create that
2:20:55 crazy ass
2:20:56 thing um but you can go to 11 Labs right
2:20:59 now and you can upload something in
2:21:00 English and you know they'll translate
2:21:02 for you as well so this the kind of
2:21:05 stuff lunatick said absolute fear and
2:21:08 Terror I I mean but good right good that
2:21:11 those legislators got a little whiff of
2:21:14 it here here's the thing about this
2:21:16 technology for me is this is not coming
2:21:20 this is here it's here today the the
2:21:24 mayor of New York City is using 11 Labs
2:21:27 right now to take his own voice in his
2:21:29 Robo calls when he calls out to his
2:21:31 constituents and using 11 labs to now
2:21:34 speak native Spanish native Italian
2:21:37 native right so all of his con
2:21:40 constituents that speak different
2:21:41 languages they know which households
2:21:44 speak Which languages and so they've got
2:21:47 their robocalling system set up to you
2:21:51 know take his voice his words but
2:21:55 translated natively into someone else's
2:21:58 tongue that's happening right now in New
2:22:00 York City this is not in the future this
2:22:03 is right now now not a lot of people
2:22:05 know about it and everyone thinks
2:22:07 they've got two or three years to figure
2:22:08 this [ __ ] out they don't you don't you
2:22:13 don't well you
2:22:16 do but but if if you sit on the
2:22:18 sidelines for 2 years the on-ramps are
2:22:21 going to be a lot steeper and
2:22:24 and you
2:22:28 know your chances of getting blindsided
2:22:31 by this stuff are going to be are going
2:22:32 to be pretty pretty significant so this
2:22:35 whole channel is about get off the
2:22:37 [ __ ] Sidelines jump in all right so
2:22:40 I'm GNA I'm going to share with you
2:22:44 where's
2:22:46 my what happened
2:22:55 here why are there so
2:22:58 many I've got so many versions of the
2:23:01 same thing
2:23:05 here all right all of this is
2:23:10 extra that was
2:23:12 weird
2:23:14 Okay
2:23:16 so
2:23:18 this
2:23:19 live is just kind of a an extend oh
2:23:23 thank you very much who who gave me that
2:23:25 thank you Christoper appreciate that
2:23:28 um December 7th we're having the
2:23:31 one-year anniversary of this this
2:23:33 community that I started um that we we
2:23:37 meet every other week we meet in person
2:23:39 here in Denver and then we meet online
2:23:41 as well and we have a Discord and if you
2:23:43 go to the
2:23:44 salon. it will talk to you about the
2:23:47 salon and our values and what we're
2:23:50 about and if you go to the Discord and
2:23:52 you join the Discord if if those values
2:23:54 resonate with you and I'm going to go
2:23:57 through them really quick um you should
2:24:00 you should join you should join and you
2:24:02 should come hang out here why because
2:24:05 this stuff's coming this stuff's here
2:24:08 it's it's coming faster than you know
2:24:10 and what what's what I'm experiencing
2:24:13 and what people in this community are
2:24:15 experiencing is kind of this wild
2:24:17 blossoming but you you have to kind of
2:24:19 go through the gauntlet like like any
2:24:22 good Adventure
2:24:24 right you know you team up with some
2:24:26 people who you wouldn't normally team up
2:24:28 with and then you're like well I don't
2:24:31 know how we get on the other side of
2:24:32 this freaking River well I guess we're
2:24:33 going to have to go on an adventure and
2:24:35 I'm good with words and I'm good with
2:24:37 magic spells and I'm good I can swing a
2:24:38 sword W and you go do your thing and and
2:24:43 it's hard and it's scary and it's
2:24:45 exhilarating and that's what we're in
2:24:46 the middle of and so the salon is about
2:24:49 choosing to be on that adventure and
2:24:52 doing that in a particular way with with
2:24:54 particular values so one of the values
2:24:57 that that we really value is
2:24:59 curiosity like don't be cynical and like
2:25:02 well it's not perfect I don't give a
2:25:04 [ __ ] like get curious about it what is
2:25:05 it good at what are other good things
2:25:08 what what what's better than that right
2:25:11 um generosity when you learn stuff share
2:25:13 stuff it's it's one of the things that
2:25:16 is happening organic here in this
2:25:18 Channel and it's and it's happening a
2:25:20 lot over on the salon it's what the
2:25:21 salon's
2:25:22 about um exploration like we want people
2:25:25 that are adventurous and want to be
2:25:26 exploring we want people that are
2:25:28 collaborative so collaboration we want
2:25:31 people that are inclusive like I don't
2:25:33 give a [ __ ] if you have been doing chaty
2:25:35 PT for an hour or for 30 years you know
2:25:39 you've been doing Ai and machine
2:25:40 learning for 30 years I don't care and I
2:25:42 don't care if you're an accountant or an
2:25:44 artist or whatever like doesn't matter
2:25:46 like if you're trying to figure this
2:25:47 [ __ ] out great come on in and then the
2:25:50 last one is empathy this is scary
2:25:53 existential stuff for a lot of people
2:25:55 and a lot of people are scared a lot of
2:25:57 people are angry like one of the things
2:25:59 I've been hearing recently is well I
2:26:00 keep talking about it people are pissed
2:26:02 off about this yeah they're scared and
2:26:05 so having empathy for that I think is
2:26:06 really important so that's what the
2:26:08 salon's all about and so if that's
2:26:10 something that sounds like yeah that
2:26:12 sounds interesting to me then then come
2:26:14 join
2:26:15 us we have gild
2:26:19 we're a bunch of nerds man come hang out
2:26:21 GE out with
2:26:23 us all right let's see I'm going to be
2:26:25 winding this up I'm a little tired you
2:26:27 people you people exhaust me night after
2:26:30 night you're in here like hey I got a
2:26:31 question could you tell me about the
2:26:34 future of humanity I'm like good God
2:26:36 people I just showed you cha P you can
2:26:40 make money with ch
2:26:43 P um do me a favor also I'm about um um
2:26:48 700 people from hitting 30,000 followers
2:26:51 on this channel if if you're interested
2:26:52 in this if you appreciate this or if you
2:26:55 just don't give a [ __ ] about your Tik
2:26:57 Tok follow the channel and share it and
2:27:00 do all that sort of stuff uh anything
2:27:02 you can do to support the channel would
2:27:04 be great um so join the
2:27:07 salon um share the channel follow the
2:27:09 channel do all that sort of stuff most
2:27:11 importantly get curious could you pin
2:27:14 the tool list once again for later r
2:27:18 um what do you mean pin the tool list
2:27:21 like show it sure oh so so I'm going to
2:27:23 do this really quick get ready to do
2:27:26 some
2:27:27 screenshotting
2:27:29 okay hang
2:27:33 on so I'm going to go through I think
2:27:35 I've got seven of these slides um these
2:27:38 are my picks for I I'm not affiliated
2:27:42 with any of these companies I don't give
2:27:43 a [ __ ] if you go use any of these or not
2:27:46 this is
2:27:48 this is Kyle's Kyle's two
2:27:51 cents like I've been geeking out on this
2:27:53 [ __ ] for two years so I'm paying
2:27:55 attention to it this is the stuff that I
2:27:57 think these are the things that I think
2:27:59 are
2:28:00 important um and that you know some of
2:28:02 this stuff you're not going to care
2:28:03 about but that's okay I would screenshot
2:28:05 all of this if I were you okay the big
2:28:07 four chat GPT Claude Bard and Bing um
2:28:12 Claude Amazon three weeks ago said
2:28:15 they're going to invest $4 billion in
2:28:17 that and two days ago Google said
2:28:19 they're going to invest $2 billion in
2:28:21 that so they got $6 billion coming to
2:28:24 them chat GPT got invested by Microsoft
2:28:27 up to 10 billion um Bard is Google and
2:28:30 Bing is Microsoft so those are your big
2:28:31 four they're not going anywhere these
2:28:33 things are going to get better and
2:28:35 better and better and better and better
2:28:37 and they're [ __ ] remarkable right now
2:28:39 chat gpt's off the charts Claude is a
2:28:42 close second Bart and Bing both suck in
2:28:46 different ways but they're not going
2:28:48 anywhere and they're going to get much
2:28:50 better okay um Pi perplexity llau and po
2:28:55 screenshot that so I'll give you five
2:28:58 four 3 two one all right image creation
2:29:04 Dolly 3 mid Journey Leonardo which is
2:29:08 built on stable diffusion and Firefly if
2:29:10 you work for a big company the Adobe
2:29:13 generative AI stuff's really good if
2:29:15 you're just a human being
2:29:17 and you want really sexy art that's mid
2:29:19 Journey if you just want to experience
2:29:23 the magic of generating images in the
2:29:26 context of a conversation that's Dolly 3
2:29:28 it's absolutely
2:29:31 amazing there's your video creation
2:29:33 tools the three on the left Runway Moon
2:29:35 Valley and P labs are all the text to
2:29:38 video kind of generating video out of
2:29:41 nothing kind of things Visa stitches
2:29:43 together stock video in a pretty
2:29:45 interesting and creative way and then
2:29:47 hey genen that's that uh translation
2:29:49 [ __ ] I CH showed you um but it's also
2:29:52 synthesized voice and image uh animation
2:29:56 so is
2:29:57 did um 11 Labs does
2:30:01 voice synthesis refusion and sound draw
2:30:04 make
2:30:07 music blockade Labs does text to 3D
2:30:11 worlds Wonder Dynamics will replace
2:30:14 humans in a video with robots in a video
2:30:17 it's [ __ ] remarkable when I watch
2:30:20 special effects people watch what Wonder
2:30:23 Dynamics does they lose their [ __ ]
2:30:25 minds they're
2:30:29 like they're like well but the Shadows
2:30:31 aren't exactly tracking yeah okay well
2:30:34 it just we just uploaded a video file
2:30:36 and it rotoscoped out a human and
2:30:38 replaced it with a robot in like an hour
2:30:41 so yeah sorry it just performed a
2:30:43 [ __ ]
2:30:44 miracle um will trick-or-treaters
2:30:46 interrupt up learning lab tomorrow oh
2:30:48 probably
2:30:51 yes and then the last one is follow
2:30:54 these
2:30:55 people if you want to get curious about
2:30:58 this stuff you got to start following
2:30:59 people that are talking smartly about
2:31:02 what's going on Ethan mullock Wharton
2:31:05 business school Professor he is
2:31:08 dissecting chat gp4 how it and how it's
2:31:11 How It Works how it's going to impact
2:31:14 education or how it's impacting
