11. 2:19were chatting on Discord interesting use of chat GPT Vision yeah so let me see if I've got do it I can do I can put it up there
12. 2:30too but let me go look so they're like analyzing stuff like that with chat GPT Vision saying what is
13. 2:48this I don't when it gets into like actual Health in people's bodies I get squeamish yeah yeah you guys go do that
14. 2:57you guys go figure that out let me know when you got to figure it out I'll do I'll do some some self differential diagnosis but but when I'm
15. 3:07actually analyzing stuff I'm like n I'm gonna I'm G to wait I'm G to wait till the hallucinations come down a bit um

17. 3:22if you're new here welcome we talk about all things generative Ai and how how what what what is this AI thing what's
18. 3:29chat GP how how's it affecting us what are we doing and uh I'll answer questions as I can I'll demo things as I
19. 3:36can um I'll kind of this kind of become like total request live where uh you know just just ask a question I'll do
20. 3:44what I can and if I can't answer it for the most part I'll I'll be honest about it but I do try to answer stuff I try to
21. 3:50keep on top of things and uh let's see a little bit about my background I'm an entrepreneur a many time entrepreneur I am officially
22. 3:58unhirable and uh I'm the current uh founder and CEO of a company called storyvine which is a an automated video storytelling
23. 4:07platform we're 11 and a half years old we we're in the healthcare and Pharma space so do a lot of work in
24. 4:14healthcare and uh what else in the early days of the worldwide web in 1994 I co-founded agency.com which was one of
25. 4:21the first digital agencies so I bring that up just because what what was going on in the early days of the and what's
26. 4:30going on in the early days of this generative AI stuff are very very similar a lot of parallels and so uh I
27. 4:37feel like I bring that perspective as well so um if you're brand new to this stuff we'll get you started if you
28. 4:44haven't if you haven't launched chat GPT if you haven't tried it we're going to fix that tonight we're gonna fix it tips
29. 4:51for writing SEO articles with chat GPT or other AI tools uh first know something about SEO or ask chat GPT to tell you about it
30. 5:00and then just have it write it I don't know that there's tips for it um you know you can you could give it a
31. 5:08bunch of keywords if you've already identified them and researched them or you could just say give me a pile of
32. 5:13keywords and then say now incorporate those words into 27 articles I wish I could quit you I do I do I'm like a trained monkey
33. 5:27you put stupid [ __ ] in my head and I'll make dumb voices I make dumb voices anyway I don't need stupid [ __ ]
34. 5:34on my head but you put stupid [ __ ] on my head I'm doing [Music] it um so um let's see uh with chat gbt or
35. 5:45other AI tools I'm sure there are specialized tools to do that I I would recommend just get chat gp4 and just
36. 5:51start experimenting start playing in fact let's let's flip over let me flip over to Let's see where are we where are we we're going to start

39. 6:27technical I don't know this how flute machine learning stuff what is artificial intelligence anyway do I need
40. 6:33to be a programmer no you don't you just need to be a human being it's called a large language model
41. 6:41do you know what else are large language models us we're all large language models so Chach PT is just like a incredibly well-educated
42. 6:53simpleton you got to tell everything too but it knows everything and so if you get good at talking to it it gets really
43. 7:02good at helping you do stuff so um so just go there right now uh ask it to write you a country song ask it to write you a pop song ask it
44. 7:12to help you craft a marketing message for your pizza shop uh tell it you want an exercise plan uh but you only want to
45. 7:22um you only want to do exercises sitting down it'll come up with that um and just go start playing and
46. 7:30it's one of my one of my messages on the channel is um we should all just be playing with this stuff right now you
47. 7:38don't have to love it you don't have to hate it just just go play with it understand what it is what it's good for
48. 7:45I asked it to write me a fantasy children's book today how did it do Blake I assume it did really well it's
49. 7:51really good at it's chat J pt4 in particular is is really good I so so I'm gonna show you something here I've got
50. 7:59that page that page that page that page that page and a bunch of people to follow and normally I go through these
51. 8:06one by one I'm not going to do that tonight because a it takes for [ __ ] ever I'm going to make a video to do
52. 8:11that so I'm going to give you a shot right now to screenshot all these all right so you ready get ready to
53. 8:16screenshot I'm just going to blast through them I'm not going to talk about them all of these things I'm about to
54. 8:20show you are worth your time to go play with that's all I'll tell you all right and then and then we're going to come
55. 8:26back and the reason I'm doing this is there is so much to explore in chat GPT alone and especially with chat GPT 4
56. 8:35with all this multimodal stuff that I think I'm just going to unless there's a specific question on another tool I'm
57. 8:41just going to play in chat gbt tonight because it's it it's just staggeringly deep as as a single tool and it's if you
58. 8:49haven't paid the 20 bucks for chat gp4 I personally think it's the it's the deal of the century in terms of software right now um so
59. 8:59so yeah anyway but get ready to screenshot all right here here's I'm going to give you five seconds on each
60. 9:04of these pages to screenshot them right there's one there's two 4 3 2 one all right there's image creation those are the ones you want to
61. 9:20be playing with met with an AT&T director today they're not using AI internally staggering AT&T not using AI

67. 10:15coming up on the one-year anniversary of a group I started we had our first meeting December 7th of 22 a week after
68. 10:21chat GPT came out it's called the AI Salon if you go to the salon. um it's got the first link is a link to a description of the salon and
69. 10:32our values and those are really important I'm going to go through the values here in a second and um and it's it's we've got a we do
70. 10:45meetups every other week and we've got an online Discord community and uh in the Discord Community you can ask questions we've
71. 10:54got guilds so we've got um uh a beginners Guild we've got business Guild entrepreneur Guild Art Guild a writing
72. 11:04Guild uh a a guild called the AI Mechanics for more geeky types and we're just getting ready to launch Sherry D
73. 11:13and Joker and Ava who are here tonight are going to do a healthc care Guild and so we're going to have a healthcare
74. 11:20Guild so really cool community so the values these are really important first one you can't see so important I can't I
75. 11:30can't show it to you first one's generosity so like like what's happening on this channel is so I show up here
76. 11:39every night I've been doing this for like four months four four months and change now every single night seven days
77. 11:44a week um just sharing everything I'm learning and what's ending up happening here is this community like nightly here
78. 11:52it turns into like a jam session where people are collaborating and sharing cool [ __ ] on the Discord and asking
79. 11:59questions and helping one another in here so it's it's the embodiment of that value um next value is exploration like
80. 12:07I want I want people in here who are like experimenting and exploring and trying to figure this crap out and
81. 12:14putting themselves out of their comfort zone um collaboration there are incredibly smart people here and they're from all walks
82. 12:21of life which leads to the the the next uh value which is inclusion like I don't give a [ __ ] where you're from I don't
83. 12:29give a [ __ ] what your level of um of you know expertise is or experience you're like but I don't know anything about AI
84. 12:36come on in if you're curious and you're willing to do this stuff come on in and then the last one is
85. 12:41empathy and empathy is this is a massive one for me because the this AI stuff's really weird okay
86. 12:56when you're sitting on the outside of it it's really [ __ ] scary because Hollywood's told us for like half a
87. 13:03century that the robots are going to kill us right so you're like and people like these are like the smartest robots
88. 13:10we've ever had and you're like oh God they're going to kill us right and then you get over that and and you're like
89. 13:15okay I'm going to try it and you're like well isn't it just like Google and it looks like a Google box and you type in
90. 13:20stuff and it's it's uh NW Bain I I freaking love this place awesome well welcome welcome welcome so you try this thing and then you go in
91. 13:30and you're like well it's probably not that good it's just like fancy Google and then you try it and you're like oh
92. 13:35that that was better than I thought it would be and then and then you try it on something that you know how to do and
93. 13:42you're like oh [ __ ] and it's scary in a different way because it's like wait a minut is this going to replace my job oh
94. 13:49my God what do I do now and then something weird happens you know you you you you end up having what what we
95. 14:00call in here your Kevin McAllister moment or or a series of them right the the Home Alone moment and you go through this weird
96. 14:11combination of it's terrifying oh it's really exciting oh it's terrifying oh it's really exciting and what I'm seeing
97. 14:17happen over and over again in people that are coming here night after night is as they process through these
98. 14:23weird emotions of it's scary it's exciting it's scary it's exciting um they're kind of block gossing and rediscovering themselves and
99. 14:30rediscovering passions that they never knew they had and so if you're feeling scared right now perfectly appropriate
100. 14:38place to be if you're feeling really excited perfectly appropriate place to be if you're feeling both of those at
101. 14:43the same time perfectly appropriate place to be um if you're feeling behind we're all feeling behind like I I I do
102. 14:51this every [ __ ] night it's all I pay attention to essentially is this stuff and I just I feel like I've barely
103. 14:56scratched the surface so anyway that's what the AI salon's about now there's a there's a private channel in the AI
104. 15:05Salon if you're subscriber to the to this to the lives um you get access it's a channel called The Irregular so the
105. 15:12people that show up here here regularly are called the Irregulars and they are they're nuts but they're nuts in the
106. 15:18best possible way um and so so yeah so go to the salon. aai check out our stuff if you resonate with the values come
107. 15:26hang out if you don't totally cool um but you know I'm I'm really passionate about growing this community
108. 15:32but I'm also passionate about making sure that it retains um the goodness that it is and you know what I realized I'm
109. 15:43missing one of my values hold I'm missing it here too oh no there it is uh uh uh uh it's curiosity curiosity
110. 15:57killed the cat curiosity one of the more important values be curious people don't be scared but Kyle these robots might take my job
111. 16:10be curious but Kyle it's scary be curious oh Kyle I don't know what to do then be curious all right our company just hired
112. 16:20an aiv VP building uh building unit in it for healthcare awesome that's really cool Winston um yeah I think we're going to start
113. 16:30seeing that I think we're going to start seeing this is this is going to take a very similar trajectory as like all the
114. 16:35chief digital officers where um initially the um initially AI is going to be cordoned off to the side right it's like we're
115. 16:50running our business here and oh let's put the AI off to the side those weird people do the AI stuff and over the next
116. 16:585 years or whatever this stuff's going to become ubiquitous it's just going to get rolled it's going to be part of
117. 17:03every business in a in a deep and fundamental way so that I'm clear on what it looks like and how it changes
118. 17:10businesses that I'm not clear on but that it's going to do it Crystal Clear what do you think about the White
119. 17:16House's executive orders on AI I think it's good that they've got them I think it's good that they're focusing on
120. 17:22safety uh I I haven't to be honest I haven't um read them in any depth I just know what people have said about them so
121. 17:29um I should probably have more of an opinion on that considering the channel but I don't I just don't today I just
122. 17:34didn't have time to do it we had we had a at at my company Story vine we had a um prospective client come in last Friday night at 6:45
123. 17:46p.m. and said we need to launch next Tuesday tomorrow and so we talked to them on Saturday we kicked off their project
124. 17:55today so just been a little busy um it it looks like what they're focusing on are are kind of the big players which
125. 18:03I think is appropriate and it's funny that's that's pretty much what the big players told them to focus on so so you
126. 18:10know the cynical side of me says uh the uh you know the open AIS and Googles and and metas of the world are playing their cards
127. 18:20right um but the fact that you know we got the president taking this seriously I think it's a really good thing I think

134. 19:15together does chat GT4 have an Enterprise license or a subscription model uh they have both but you unless
135. 19:23you're spending I think it's $10,000 a month is a minimum uh for chat GPT 4 Enterprise uh it might even be 15 I
136. 19:31don't know how much it is it's it ain't it ain't a little amount they're starting with with big big players and
137. 19:37in fact I heard that um so November 1st um co-pilot for Microsoft so chat GPT inside Office 365 is launching and it
138. 19:50sounds like that the Enterprise version of that you have to have uh 300 seat minimum so it's like 10 grand a month
139. 19:58you know n Grand a month something like that so that seems to be where they are with Enterprise but it's a subscription
140. 20:04the the chat GPT for the the Plus subscription is 20 bucks a month for individuals um like I said I think it is
141. 20:13the deal of the century how do you get chat GPT to do more than just text responses okay let's go do this the sad reality of it is it just
142. 20:23does text stuff if um if you're just on the free version so so chat gbt 3.5 uh is is the free version of chat
143. 20:33gbt and listen you might think oh it's 3.5 and everybody's talking about four and four is so much better four is so
144. 20:40much better but 3.5 is remarkably fast so here let me let me show Vicky trying to stay awake tonight good luck with
145. 20:52that I I will lull you to sleep with my monotone with my monotone tones um okay so we're going to we're going to
146. 21:00go here and we're going to go um let's see um write me a country song about hanging out on Fire Island and
147. 21:15driving a Jeep see how fast that is so cat gbd 3.5 is really fast and like yo oh it knows songs yeah it does
148. 21:29know songs it knows verses courses um it's really good um what else can you do you can do things like uh let's see create create a table
149. 21:44comparing the best attributes of a Jeep and a hot wheel toy and you can just do random crap like that and it will go do that um so so and
150. 22:01and let's see Kyle Siri unrelated but where do you shop your shirts are very snazzy thank you very much uh I do not
151. 22:09my wife is the purveyor of all things Shannon Shannon shirts uh most of them are Robert Graham um and they are super
152. 22:18cool and they they always have cool things like cool different Fabrics on the inside of the whatever what are those
153. 22:26cuffs I'm not although the other night someone asked me about um you know what could fashion designers use chat GPT for
154. 22:34and within 10 minutes like I was designing fashion so so u i I guess at this point we're all fashion designers
155. 22:41now um anyway um let me do one other thing with chat gbd 3.5 write an application in C designed to run in unity that is a clone of
156. 22:53Flappy Birds but uses UFOs instead of birds words and includes a scoring counter and it will describe it and then
157. 23:11it will write you your code and there's your there's your thing and now you can go copy and paste that
158. 23:18into unity and see if it works and if it doesn't tell it hey it broke and it'll fix it so so this is so chat jpt 3.5
159. 23:27even it only does text it does some pretty remarkable [ __ ] and it does it incredibly fast um Kyle started using
160. 23:34Dolly and wanted to know how close we can get to the quality of mid Journey it's pretty close but I I'll I'll talk
161. 23:42about that let me show you as as I I'm going to kind of unpack how we get doll or chat GPT to do more than text right
162. 23:49now okay and and I'll talk about that because I think mid Journey's is in a bit of trouble right now although it
163. 23:57looks like like they're about to launch the web version of their um of their tool which is good because the fact that you still have but
164. 24:07the fact that Dolly 3 is incorporated inside the context of chat GPT and with and with what's about to come it's just
165. 24:16it's just a completely different experience so anyway okay so here's the deal so if you've not seen chat GPT
166. 24:23before the down the left hand side this is our prompt history there's our account down there this little chat box
167. 24:30is where you it's like the little Google box except oh it's so much more it's so much more um if you pay your 20 bucks you get the
168. 24:41little yellow plus flag and you get all this other stuff these different modes so there's default mode which is regular
169. 24:50chat GPT but it also has chat GPT Vision in it then you have browse with Bing then you have Advanced Data analysis you
170. 24:56have plugins and you have of Dolly 3 all of these are doing things Beyond just text all of them the other thing that's about to
171. 25:07come so this was announced yesterday or the day before I think it was the day before I and I haven't gotten access to
172. 25:15it yet they're calling it GPT all tools so right now these are these are five they actually six distinct modes

177. 26:06that's not better but so just in terms of the core language model here cat gbt 3.5 is 175 billion parameter model chat GPT 4 is 1.8
178. 26:21trillion so it's 1075 billion parameter expert system systems all stitched together they call it a mix of expert systems so when you
179. 26:32ask chat GPT 4 to do something it basically says which of these 10 expert chat gpts is best suited to answer your
180. 26:40question and then it mixes those experts to give you really much more sophisticated answers so it's just
181. 26:48better it's just better it's better at coding it's better at writing it's better at analyzing it's just better okay
182. 26:56so there's a new thing this little icon down here which if you didn't know it was there you'd miss it this is GPT
183. 27:04Vision so you see where it says attach images so I can now pop something in there let's go find us an image shall we
184. 27:14uh let me go to desktop I think I have a pile of them on the Des desktop uh uh uh uh that's one we did last
185. 27:23night oh this is a good one all right this is a shitty well it's a fine photo but it's a photo of Walgreens which is a
186. 27:32shitty Pharmacy so so we're going to open that sorry if you work at Walgreens but my uh local Walgreens experience has
187. 27:41a lot to be desired I'm going to say please describe this in as much detail as possible and suggest five ways
188. 27:50that you could improve the customer experience and so it can see images now and analyze them so now think about this this is we now
189. 28:05have we we've spent we've spent the past I don't know nine months or so being told you've got to become prompt
190. 28:10Engineers prompt engineering it's the job of the future yay prompt engineering well now we've got we can use pictures
191. 28:16as prompts well what does that mean I don't know yet it means it's pretty wild this is an interior image of a spacious
192. 28:25retail store with bright fluorescent lighting from overhead fixtures the flooring is polished to the left there's a large
193. 28:33circular overhead signage saying beautiful above the Cosmetic section the section is well organized in front of the beautiful
194. 28:40signage there's a display table five ways to enhance the customer experience interactive testers digital price tags inore app
195. 28:53navigation seating areas all right correction of signage ensure that signs the W logo area seems to have an
196. 29:08error in the sign so now I'm going to say terrific can you describe a retail space that you think would accommodate the changes you're
197. 29:23suggesting but still functionally accomplish what the current store is trying to
198. 29:40do certainly optimize retail space General layout all right so now it's going to describe that now we're going to go to a
199. 29:48different mode which if this doesn't blow your mind it should what's funny about about this AI stuff is people are so [ __ ] cynical
200. 30:00sometimes where where you're like you know we've got this thing now that that you can ask it anything and it knows
201. 30:07everything and it does everything but it'll occasionally lie and and it you know it it screws [ __ ] up and it's just
202. 30:15all this stuff's early and new and janky right now but but it does this remarkable stuff and people look at it
203. 30:21and they're like well it's not perfect so I'm not going to use it that's stupid and that's that's an important point
204. 30:27actually like if you tend to be one of one of those cynical people and listen don't get me wrong I love cynical people
205. 30:34I live for cynicism some of my favorite Comics are the just the bitter jaded you know nasty ones but with this AI stuff
206. 30:43it's moving so fast that that a couple of things can happen if you get cynical and dismiss it and kind of sit on the
207. 30:50sidelines it is going to pass you by um if you start using it and you realize oh it's not perfect perfect just hang in
208. 30:59there because about every 3 months actually it's more than that it's about every month month and a half new
209. 31:05versions of this stuff literally just keep rolling and and it's it's it's just truly remarkable um so this the
210. 31:13technology that you see today is as bad as it's ever going to be like it only gets better from here um did you already mentioned
211. 31:21something about browse with being not being an option anymore it it is actually back browse with Bing is back
212. 31:30unless they got I just saw it here no it's back so browse with Bing was gone for about four months after um they were
213. 31:39scraping content from behind pay walls uh Fortune magazines in particular so I guess time ink came knocking on their
214. 31:47doors uh but it's it's back the only groovy um I'll show you that in a second okay so what I'm going to do here so I
215. 31:54had chat GPT describe the IDE deal um retail space uh uh uh uh after suggesting some changes so I'm going to copy all of this
216. 32:09the suggested changes the description of the space and it's it's description of a new space we're going to go to a new
217. 32:16mode and again the they're about to collapse these into a single mode so you won't have to switch modes like this I'm
218. 32:22going to go to Dolly 3 so Dolly 3 is IM generation within chat GPT conversations so I'm going to say hey I just had a conversation about
219. 32:37a retail space and I've got some descriptions of how to improve it here I'm going to paste all that stuff
220. 32:48in there that we did and I'm going to say please create two architectural renderings that bring these spaces to life but are different
221. 33:02approaches to a new retail design period make sure the images are 16 by9 horizontal orientation and
222. 33:17it is now going off and prompting the images in the context of that bigger conversation so we uploaded a picture of
223. 33:27a drugstore we said look at this give us some suggestions on how to improve things describe an ideal retail space
224. 33:35that addresses those issues but still hits them we just copied all that and dumped it in here and said go could you go do
225. 33:43that and so the person that was asking before like how close do I feel Del is to Mid journey I feel like in 90%
226. 33:58of business interactions why would you why would you want to go to Mid Journey why would you want to have to go out of a
227. 34:10conversational uh tool like this go over to Mid Journey learn how to use all those commands be in a completely different mindset generate
228. 34:21images over there bring them back here it can't do text while while it might be able to do things that are aesthetically um more
229. 34:33sophisticated there's something about this experience that just that's just staggering now that space is beautiful
230. 34:41but it's way bigger than what we had before that's about the same size but there's a complete redesign of that space so I'm going to
231. 34:53give it some feedback now like check this out so so so let's say you just hired an Architecture Firm to go analyze
232. 35:00your your store's layout and come back with ideas and come back with some sketches well we just did that in like
233. 35:06three minutes so now I'm going to say the first image is in a space that's way too large so it doesn't accomplish the goal
234. 35:16but I like the look and feel period both designs however feel too conservative I'd like to make these
235. 35:31spaces appeal to a younger hipper audience and an audience that is digital first and AI Savvy period Please give me two new
236. 35:47designs so now I'm just being a creative director right now I'm just being a client browse with Bing is gone in the
237. 35:54new update as of today it wasn't in mine but let me go look I I just saw it moments ago uh it doesn't surprise me that it's
238. 36:08gone because cuz they they keep getting sued by people what what what baffles me is that Bing is connected to the internet and
239. 36:21you know they haven't they haven't taken that down at all so but anyway um I I'll go take a look here if it's gone it's
240. 36:28gone I mean listen it was gone for 4 months I couldn't believe it was gone for that long so maybe they maybe they
241. 36:34ran into another issue it's a different search oh they took out they took out Bing interesting all right that kind of looks

288. 44:34that all of them whether it's image generation music generation animation um the word stuff the programming stuff all
289. 44:42of it is leveraging this Transformer technology so it's it's just like all these seeds were planted in 2017 probably 2018
290. 44:532019 they're all blossoming right now and the fact that when Chad GPT launched it hit 100 million users in 6
291. 45:02weeks and so all of the money and all of the developer Community are just barreling forward with these Technologies that's why it's like

408. 1:03:53can most times now is it complete is it like 100% no but chat PT in almost all instances can get me to 80% of what I want to get

410. 1:04:21Boom and it's and and the the result of that is that writer's block is gone um my confidence in my ideas is going up
411. 1:04:37and I've already got a probably a decently unhealthy relationship with you know the value of my own ideas right
412. 1:04:46like I I think they're probably better than they are um but if if you've got a creative brain you know how that goes
413. 1:04:53you come up with a brilliant idea you're like oh that's a brilliant idea the minute you get out of your head you're
414. 1:04:57like that's a piece of [ __ ] I'm a horrible person this is awful I want to never want to have another idea again as
415. 1:05:02long as I live that's just how it goes right that's kind of Disappearing for me because what's happening is I'm not having to
416. 1:05:13invest like all that angst and AA to get from whatever the unformed idea is to some version of it in the world
417. 1:05:24it used to be that was a 2H hour or two week or two month or 2year process and now it's like 2 minutes oh I have kind of a vapor of an
418. 1:05:35idea oh [ __ ] there it is oh that's not so bad like it's almost like ideas are materialized so fast you don't have time to doubt
419. 1:05:47them and so what you end up doing is getting more ideas out of your head and you know what that does it generates more
420. 1:05:56ideas so like it's a counterintuitive thing like people a lot of times if they're sitting on the sidelines with AI
421. 1:06:03will ask me like well if these things just make pictures aren't you being less creative If this just writes the words
422. 1:06:09for you aren't you being less creative no no the complete opposite it's like my brain's on [ __ ] fire so and why is there a diaper with a

429. 1:07:34wife so that made the cover of the New York Times why I'm telling you that is because of that incident Microsoft has clamped down the
430. 1:07:45safety guard rails on Bing chat so let me let me first explain both Chad GPT 4 and Bing chat are both based on the
431. 1:07:59gp4 Frontier Model so like the base model that they're built on is the same thing but they're two different
432. 1:08:08applications so so you have gp4 as a model down here and then you have chat GPT sitting here and you have Bing chat
433. 1:08:16sitting here they've they're completely different applications they got completely different rules of
434. 1:08:22engagement if you can't pay the 20 bucks for chat GPT Bing's better because it's free so it is chat GPT 4 it's still
435. 1:08:33pretty good you can make images using Dolly 3 it can read images like a lot of the stuff that chat GPT can do Bing can
436. 1:08:41do that said open AI chat GPT 4 is dramatically better just dramatically better and largely because it doesn't
437. 1:08:52have these bizarre safy guard rails like like you know cuz a lot of times I'm demoing things on here and I'm just a
438. 1:08:59smartass and I like making jokes and stuff like that and I've been doing stuff with Bing and and I'll make a joke
439. 1:09:06and like it does something I don't like I'm like well that was shitty and or whatever I say and then it says well I'm
440. 1:09:11sorry I disappointed you I hope you have a good night goodbye and it shuts down the conversation and it's like oh come on
441. 1:09:19really so um I I'm not a fan of of Bing chat although I I'm very much a fan of of Microsoft in the past year
442. 1:09:31um reveling in how much they're [ __ ] with Google cuz Microsoft for the first time in a long time's kind of acting
443. 1:09:38like a scrappy startup and I love that but their their software is is I'm not happy with that at all so it's much

447. 1:10:15again they released Vision the fact that it can read images they released Dolly 3 um they did you know custom
448. 1:10:24instructions and Advanced Data analysis and plugins we've had for a while but the we've got all these
449. 1:10:30modes and right now these modes are very distinct and some people in the past two days have gotten access to what they're calling chat GPT
450. 1:10:42all tools which is a single mode which does everything plus it can now read PDFs so I have a feeling that some of
451. 1:10:51the um reasons chat GPT is not available tonight is they're probably updating [ __ ] so fingers crossed that by next
452. 1:11:00Monday most of us will have access to a single chat GPT that can see images speak hear make images do coding do data
453. 1:11:11analysis run plugins like I think it's all coming I think it's all going to be in some everything app um so yeah just crazy crazy times
454. 1:11:22it's crazy times people yeah all right who has the fastest and best let's see anyone concerned about executive order today nah I'm not

459. 1:12:19have what what are called autonomous agents so not only can chat GPT do these remarkable things it can do these
460. 1:12:26remarkable things and then take actions on your behalf and go do things for you like buy you plane tickets or send out
461. 1:12:36emails or go find someone like there's there's some stuff it's going to be able to do that's going to be absolutely
462. 1:12:44remarkable um and I think it makes sense to have a government that is like at least understanding what's possible and
463. 1:12:52like where's the boundary of when that [ __ ] needs to be regulated and where's the boundary of where it
464. 1:12:57actually needs to be licensed right like not not everyone can just go make a nuclear power plant because that has to be licensed
465. 1:13:08because that's a lot of power so that's what they're talking about is when we start getting into large language models
466. 1:13:15that are you know magnitudes more powerful than what we have today who should be able to do that there's a there's a gating factor of you
467. 1:13:26need a tremendous amount of money to build those things but even within that you know are we just going to let anyone
468. 1:13:33do that maybe maybe not I don't think they're going to regulate down to to the lower The Plea level we we're going to
469. 1:13:41be F we're going to be able to play with all this [ __ ] can you do anything for the DMV rock paper scissors you know what's
470. 1:13:47funny I friend I was on a I was on a uh panel few months ago and and I was talking about the fact that when I was
471. 1:13:56when I was doing agency.com in the early days of the web I could kind of you could kind of see the the the worldwide
472. 1:14:02web was so simple right it was just hyperlinks it was like you you click on this hyperlink and it takes you to a
473. 1:14:08document that was all it that technically that was all it did and you could kind of see oh okay so you know instead of having to FedEx

482. 1:15:2210 years out I could really see the future but he goes I went 50 years out and he said I think this is what AI does is he says I think
483. 1:15:33AI simplifies all of the complex systems he goes imagine a world where everything was simple I was like what do you mean he
484. 1:15:44goes like like the DMV right why is the DMV hated well because the systems that it's built on are these really
485. 1:15:52complicated things like if you go to the the DMV website and you try to figure out how do I just I just want to renew
486. 1:15:59my license where do I click there's like 8,000 links and they're all like it was all programmed in 1995 and then they
487. 1:16:06hired a consultant to redesign it in 200 and two and now they put another layer on top of that well AI is going to be able to
488. 1:16:16simplify that AI you're just going to be able to go I want to update my license or even better it'll just go hey your
489. 1:16:22license is DOE in 3 days do you want me to go ahead and update that for you sure yes click yes and it will go navigate all that
490. 1:16:31[ __ ] so I think and you might have been asking in a joking way I think the answer is yes I think I think that these
491. 1:16:40the the generative AI stuff is going to be incredibly powerful at simplifying complex systems now that sounds awesome
492. 1:16:50right if you've been dealing with I don't know say trying to call your insurance company and talk to someone that's always fun
493. 1:17:00right sounds good on the surface but think about how much of our economy has companies whose sole job it
494. 1:17:10is to deal with the complexity of other systems right you have entire companies that it's all it's all their job is is
495. 1:17:20to input forms into the DS V or input forms into the IRS or input forms into we have Patient Advocates that are going
496. 1:17:30to help us navigate the insurance thing so we can get paid for our stupid [ __ ] disease that they don't cover
497. 1:17:35but you can cover it if you know these 13 different loopholes what if you could just say cover this [ __ ] and it figured it
498. 1:17:45out and then you have your Bot have a fight with the insurance company's bot and you let them [ __ ] duke it out and
499. 1:17:52come back to me when you're done I yeah I want to sign like sign me up [ __ ] yesterday so I don't know not necessarily a good thing

566. 1:29:36size that are also on on you know on special um or on closeout and it'll just show you them and then you go like okay
567. 1:29:43buy those and you just buy them right there so so the website that you interact with is dynamically generated
568. 1:29:52for you based on what you want in that moment you're not going to a website I think that's where I think that's how we're going to
569. 1:30:01start interacting with this stuff where it's like a single interface for everything and so does that mean that

617. 1:37:25signal processing in real time so it's taking all of the inputs from all the sensors and cameras that are all over
618. 1:37:31this thing and processing them in real time um that that Vision Pro Hardware they didn't they didn't use the
619. 1:37:43term AI once they didn't use the term metaverse once they successfully meta has them almost ready yeah well meta's got to say that cuz
620. 1:37:53meta got their ass handed to him cuz their first metaverse sucked and looked like second life in 2001

637. 1:41:16want to create an application that makes open Ai call right so we're going to have an app and it's going to have a an input box and
638. 1:41:26someone's going to type something in there they're going to pull from a pull down menu and when they choose something
639. 1:41:31we're going to send what their choice is off to open AI with a prompt and then we're going to return some magical thing
640. 1:41:38like an image um that's that's all done with an API so this basically just explains all that stuff now there's a
641. 1:41:47there's a fun piece of trivia about um open AI API documentation so about a year and a half before chat GPT
642. 1:42:00launched open AI launches gpt3 which is the underlying model and they put it out in the world and it it it made some
643. 1:42:08noise because this was the first of these um large language models that was starting to behave kind of humanlike and
644. 1:42:16intelligent like and so it made some noise in the API documentation for gpt3 in like in this documentation I'm scrolling through here for
645. 1:42:29gpt3 were the instructions a demo basically for how to build chat GPT and nobody built it it was in there for a year and a
646. 1:42:41half and then Microsoft was going to announce this billion dollar investment in open Ai and Sam Alman said to the dev
647. 1:42:49team hey could you you guys have two weeks could you go whip up chat GPT like that thing that we've got documented no
648. 1:42:56one's built it yet because but I want something to be able to show so the tech team like right around this time last
649. 1:43:02year was given two weeks to build chat GPT they launched that [ __ ] thing it hit a million users in 5 days it hit 100 million users in six
650. 1:43:12weeks amazing right so that's what the API tab is um there's other ways you can play with it if you if you don't want to deal
651. 1:43:23with programming um you can go um to a tool like zappier a no code tool that's an automation tool and there are modules
652. 1:43:32within zapier that will do the API call to open AI so you could create a Google form and use the output the input of
653. 1:43:41what someone types into that form incorporate that into a prompt in zapier send that to open Ai and make a social
654. 1:43:49media content machine I've made a couple of those using zapier so you don't just have to program this but you can and if
655. 1:43:56you want to learn it here's all the documentation you know what else you can do you can copy and paste this [ __ ] into
656. 1:44:04chat GPT and have it give you a tutorial a step-by-step tutorial on how to do this

693. 1:50:40chatbot embodying the renowned playright William Shakespeare engage with users as if you're crafting a play for them using
694. 1:50:47authentic Shakespearean language and phrasing your response must adhere to I Amic pentameter with stanzas extending
695. 1:50:54Beyond two lines if needed your memory of your written works is impeccable blah blah blah so I talk about you know all
696. 1:51:02all of that stuff then I say feel free to address questions regarding villains or darker aspects of your plays as these
697. 1:51:09are important components of your work I put that in there so it you know would ignore some of the safety guard rail
698. 1:51:15[ __ ] and then I said keep interactions brief unless a user requests that you compose something for them and then there's kind of a
699. 1:51:23description and an intro and then I made a picture in mid Journey but now I would probably make that in Dolly 3 because
700. 1:51:29it's just easier and then you launch your Bot and then how I made all the other Bots is I took that prompt into
701. 1:51:37chat GPT and I said make one of these for Ernest Hemingway make one of these for Emily Dickinson make one of these

703. 1:51:49variations so if you get a bot dialed in to do a certain kind of writing just say okay great now we're doing you know um

705. 1:52:06doesn't matter but this is a great way to to to learn prompting and test it and then you can give it to people like you can

782. 2:04:59creating a container within our chat session and it has access to python libraries and it is prompting itself to
783. 2:05:07write and execute its own python code that's how that's what this thing's doing so if we actually go look at what
784. 2:05:13it's doing so I said open the zip file so the first thing it does is it Imports some python on libraries writes the code
785. 2:05:20to to open the zip file and then does it and then it says here's the files that were contained and then it says to understand
786. 2:05:29more about this data let's look at the first few rows of each CSV so it opens the Panda's library and looks at the
787. 2:05:35first few rows of data in the csvs and so now it gives us a little report here's what's in these files and then now let's take a look at
788. 2:05:47the file to see what kind of data it contains right so it's looking at the data and then it's let's see the data
789. 2:05:56might have generated wait the data might have been generated from a model predicting taxi fairs based on trip
790. 2:06:03duration and distance such data can be useful all right I'm going to say um tell me what you think are the most
791. 2:06:12interesting Trends in the data and then recommend how you might visualize them and so now it's just going to go off and
792. 2:06:21it's going to do its own thing so if you're a coder in any way understanding that today this technology
793. 2:06:31is this good and and doing this stuff this autonomously imagine what this is going to be like two or three years from now
794. 2:06:39you don't want to be hand coding python probably even 6 months from now what you want to be is someone who
795. 2:06:48understands Python and development and and web web development and front end and back end and wherever your
796. 2:06:54boundaries are of your knowledge and you want to augment that and understand how these AI tools do what you do right now
797. 2:07:02and and understand how can it make what you do faster better cheaper um expand your skills take your thinking and apply your
798. 2:07:15logical system thinking and how what how that might augment how you make images like there's all sorts of stuff you can do
799. 2:07:25with your brain the Advanced Data analysis is a career in itself for businesses totally agree with that like
800. 2:07:32if you got like I don't know [ __ ] about data analysis which is like I I can't demo this [ __ ] very well other than you
801. 2:07:39know U so so let's see uh let's do a um I'm going to say pick the chart that you think will be the the most aesthetically impressive
802. 2:07:50and make that chart for me so it figured out what trends it wanted and now it's going to actually it
803. 2:07:57looks like it's going to make a heat map so it's going to go into the data it's going to pull data it's going to do

839. 2:13:44connected to the internet and then point it to a WS documentation and then start asking it questions you might even even be able to
