smile [ __ ] Martin sex man man can 6:08 [Music] 6:20 write I met my baby at the F Club 6:24 underneath the Time Cafe on the corner 6:28 life I and for Street late one wedding's 6:31 [Music] 6:33 day she offered me a red stripe I said 6:37 baby not a chance I could go for T 6:41 ginger ale how about we just dance we 6:44 did the boom Shaboom the do I did it 6:47 mocha choca L and the nitty-gritty we 6:49 did the coochie Co hoochie the lazy 6:51 ballerina baby make me feel like I'm a 6:53 California dreamer yeah 6:57 [Music] 7:06 well I asked her for number she said 7:08 here's my phone at work I put two and 7:11 two together damn she must be with some 7:14 jerk two summers later on the vineyard 7:17 came another opportunity she came all 7:20 that way just to see me play but I was 7:22 with sweet Lisa Marie after so many 7:25 years are waiting we'll finally come 7:27 that 7:28 spring we 7:32 we finally did that thing we did the ho 7:35 or the uh I don't remember the 7:42 [Music] 7:45 [Applause] 7:47 [Music] 7:58 words good evening good people happy 8:01 Monday night I'm sure most of you are 8:04 putting me on background and listening 8:07 to the DNC inspiring speeches one after 8:11 another where you're screaming at the 8:15 TV 8:16 whatever politics is just football now I 8:20 hate the other team I hate your team you 8:22 wear red you wear purple 8:25 [Laughter] 8:30 critical thinking is the thing of the 8:32 past I think that's one of the things 8:34 that 8:35 AI is actually going to bring 8:40 back hang on a 8:42 sec cuz when you 8:45 have when you have 8:48 tools that are really good really 8:51 powerful generative even generating 8:55 content and especially when they're in 8:57 the state where they're in right now 8:58 where they're not perfect 9:00 [Music] 9:02 you can make almost 9:05 anything and then that begs the question 9:07 well why would you make 9:10 anything and that's critical 9:12 [Music] 9:21 thinking the things that were the usual 9:23 Gates like 9:25 education and skills Gathering 9:31 um all of those barriers are going to be 9:33 erased in the next two 9:37 years and obliterated in in the next 9:42 five so what it means is anyone's going 9:44 to be able to do 9:46 anything and then what kind of world do 9:48 we live in I don't know but I can tell 9:52 you this the people with critical 9:54 thinking skills the ones that like 9:55 actually think about it apply logic to 9:59 the situ 10:00 situation not just the amydala you're an 10:03 [ __ ] no you're an [ __ ] no you're 10:05 an [ __ ] no you're an 10:09 [ __ ] isn't that [ __ ] 10:12 exhausting isn't it better to 10:15 go what are you interested in in your 10:17 life I like puppies 10:22 [Music] 10:25 nice I like AI nice hey maybe we should 10:30 make some puppies with 10:34 AI you know what I always wanted to do 10:36 what's that write a song about a puppy 10:39 we could do that let's do that now proud 10:42 to be a stoic right 10:45 [Music] 11:07 I like turtles yeah politics has gotten 11:10 to the I like turtles 11:12 [Music] 11:15 stage there's been something baby I've 11:18 been trying to 11:21 say for an age and it seems I don't know 11:27 how with the past and a future which are 11:30 now surrounding 11:33 me surrender to whatever cheap thrill 11:36 can be 11:38 found there's been a little 11:42 trouble since you came to my 11:45 [Music] 11:49 rescue and if you like all of the rest I 11:52 would have put you long ago but I 11:54 couldn't do that 12:00 oh tell me now women and why never went 12:03 too 12:07 well make a man crazy make him cold as 12:13 hell I'm a woman that you wish me 12:17 well but it's f a try still going to 12:21 have to find own way 12:25 [Music] 12:28 through like the mid of morning my dream 12:34 remains hanging in the burnt fields of 12:37 my memory that 12:41 line hanging in the burnt fields of my 12:44 [Music] 12:54 memory women and wine never went too 12:58 well 13:02 make a man crazy make him cold as 13:05 [Music] 13:07 hell I'm a woman you wish me 13:14 [Music] 13:18 will 13:22 lady what do you think Champion Dog no 13:25 more singing 13:28 [Music] 13:55 oh man alive man alive welcome Luma Labs AI Luma 17:00 labs. has a text to video maker called 17:04 dream machine and they just released 17:06 version 17:07 1.5 and it looks quite 17:10 good but we did a we did a test in here 17:13 a month or two ago on uh the St Louis 17:16 Arch you know the St Louis Arch in St 17:19 Louis it's an arch Gateway to the West 17:21 you know that 17:25 one and forget we did it in mid journey 17:28 I think mid Journey or I don't know one 17:30 of the maybe it was one of the new 17:33 ones flux or something but it couldn't 17:36 it couldn't do the arch right didn't get 17:37 the arch right so I just had to do a 17:40 drone shot of the St Louis Arch 17:42 overlooking the mighty Mississippi and 17:45 it it comically [ __ ] up the arch so 17:47 I'll show you that in a second that's 17:49 pretty 17:54 funny the the spelling of these things 17:56 is getting better I'm curious is that 17:58 Danielle was that um do that looks like 18:01 do maybe but the spelling is pretty good 18:04 I'm trying review imagine three 24:05 [Music] 24:11 no are you taking requests only if you 24:14 know only if the requests are um 24:16 depressing obscure Americana songs then 24:19 yes 24:20 [Music] 24:36 that's oddly 24:40 specific it's all I know you know what's 24:42 funny is 24:44 um it's I think I talked about this on 24:47 here once I took guitar lessons 24:50 once 24:53 and he was teaching you know we we're 24:55 doing chords and [ __ ] like that and he's 24:57 teaching me music Theory and he's like 24:59 you know this is this and this is this 25:01 and this is an A 25:03 Minor and then I said 25:06 why why does that chord sound so much 25:09 better than the others cuz it was like 25:11 objectively better like we were playing 25:13 all these chords in progressions and we 25:15 get to that one cord and it just [ __ ] 25:19 sunk in my soul it like 25:22 stuck I'm like what is it what is it 25:25 with that cord why is that so much 25:26 better than the others and he goes goes 25:29 it's 25:29 not I said but it is he goes it's not 25:33 better than the others I said what do 25:35 you mean he goes That's just your 25:38 musical 25:39 taste when you hear that chord that 25:42 minor 25:48 chord it speaks to you that's your 25:50 musical taste I had never I had never in 25:54 my 25:56 [Music] 25:57 life even considered 26:00 that that everyone didn't think that was 26:03 more beautiful than 26:07 [Music] 26:13 [Applause] 26:17 that well I heard there was a secret 26:22 C David played and it pleased a 26:26 lot you don't really careful music do 26:32 [Music] 26:33 you goes like this the fourth the fifth 26:38 minor fall and a major lift the ba King 26:43 compos 26:47 Hallelujah 26:48 hallelu you know I mean like that's a 26:51 song that I think is just [ __ ] 26:53 stunningly beautiful and many people 26:55 hear that and they're like that's a 26:57 depressing piece of [ __ ] my co-founder 26:59 whenever we get in the car I put on 27:01 music that I'm like oh this is the best 27:03 music within 30 seconds she's like this 27:06 is depressing can we put on some 80s 27:10 [Music] 27:11 pop champy likes it too yeah champy 27:15 something about the a minor speaks to 27:17 beagle beagle DNA 27:22 apparently 27:24 anyway that was a funny little thing 27:27 working working while kylling nice yes 27:29 please work away musical 27:32 Monday oh I saw a guy made a game and 27:35 put his family tree in the 27:37 game the guy walks around introduces his 27:41 family history oh that's cool that's 27:44 very cool 27:47 [Music] 27:53 [Music] 28:05 pry my face from my wrinkled 28:07 [Music] 28:09 cheets just holding it was all a 28:15 dream pain in my head and a hole in my 28:19 heart says it was more than just Jim be 28:30 I'm currently reading Reddit hate 28:32 against AI writing well AI writing sucks 28:36 if you don't know how to prompt it and 28:39 if you don't edit 28:41 it it sucks reddit's not 28:45 wrong but it's not it's not ai's fault 28:49 it's human being's fault for being lazy 28:52 pieces of [ __ ] 28:54 [Music] 29:09 uh uh uh yeah I edit the hell out of 29:11 mine you know what's funny archetypal 29:12 architect is when I when I look at a 29:15 first draft of AI like it it vomits the 29:18 stuff out and what I figured out that I 29:21 do is I parse I parse the structure 29:24 first this is just the way my brain 29:26 works is like I'll read through it and 29:30 AI tends to get the structure perfect 29:33 like it's 29:35 amazing and then I'm like and then I'll 29:37 I'll sort of spot check some paragraphs 29:40 right and I'll be like okay structures 29:42 right and then I'll spot check some 29:43 paragraphs I'm like yeah that sounds 29:44 decent I'm like okay this chapter is 29:46 good right I'll edit it later but it's 29:48 this is solid and then I go into edit it 29:51 and I start reading it and like within 29:53 the first paragraph there's three points 29:56 the same point is made three times in 29:58 slightly different sentences and I'm 29:59 like oh [ __ ] this isn't even a paragraph 30:02 This is a sentence and then I'll chop 30:04 that up and then like basically I find 30:07 myself editing the entire [ __ ] thing 30:10 like rewriting it it would probably be 30:13 faster to just write it 30:15 but I wouldn't just write that first 30:18 draft that's the big thing for me you 30:20 mind telling me what kind of guitar it 30:22 is I'm totally blind and can't tell it 30:25 sounds 30:29 um it is a 30:31 seagull 25th 30:33 anniversary acoustic 30:35 electric and I've actually got my 30:38 acoustic amp down here this one I've got 30:41 two guitars I've got two Acoustics I've 30:42 got a guild at work and that one sounds 30:46 stunning although it really needs a 30:48 setup this one needs a setup too but 30:49 that one needs it really bad but that 30:52 one sounds just 30:54 amazing and this one sounds okay but 30:56 when this one's Amplified through an 30:58 acoustic amp it's got 31:00 a a 31:02 Goen 31:04 acoustic preamp in 31:06 it um it's it's this one sounds amazing 31:10 Amplified 31:12 [Music] 31:35 with the AI to collaborate with I'm up 31:38 to I'm up 70 chapters over last year 31:41 yeah I mean that's the thing I'm I'm so 31:44 I've got one book published I'm about to 31:47 publish embrace the Jank and I'm about 31:49 to unpublish collective intelligence in 31:51 the age of AI with Kevin Clark that 31:54 one's a serious business book embrace 31:56 the Jank is a back of the toilet quote 31:58 book quotes quotes from the AI learning 32:02 lab embrace the J J you can make money 32:05 with ch you can make 32:07 Mone anti bubble sorry I'm late you are 32:10 forgiven you are forgiven we just been 32:12 shooting this [ __ ] I've been talking 32:14 about music theory and taste oh you know 32:18 so how does the music theory thing that 32:21 that that story about a minor to me just 32:24 sounded better than all the other chords 32:28 and this guitar teacher going well 32:30 that's just your musical 32:32 taste 32:37 um that's what AI art is that's what AI 32:41 writing is that's what art is that's 32:42 what writing is how you get the output 32:47 ultimately is 32:50 irrelevant what's relevant is that you 32:53 have an intention as a human and it is 32:56 your taste 32:59 that after 10 images generated a 100 33:03 images generated a thousand images 33:06 generated that all of a sudden you 33:08 generate an image that you're like 33:09 that's the 33:11 one the one that feels really obvious to 33:14 you it's not better than the 33:17 others it's that it's your 33:20 taste and that's the one you choose to 33:22 put in the 33:25 world and that's why AI art is art 33:35 because it's the human behind it 33:38 now can 33:40 we create zappier Bots that generate 33:44 hundreds of thousands of pieces of Art 33:46 and just vomit them onto the internet 33:48 yes is that garbage 33:53 yes but the guy that spoke at the last 33:57 AI Salon Jason Al en he's the one I 33:59 don't know if you remember a couple of 34:00 years 34:01 back he entered an art contest at the 34:04 Colorado State Fair and he won 34:09 it and the piece that he entered 34:13 with was AI generated art and the art 34:17 community lost their ever [ __ ] mind 34:20 they just lost their [ __ ] he got death 34:25 threats you know how many prompts 34:31 he 34:32 submitted before he got that 34:35 piece 34:39 684 he had spent years thinking about 34:42 this concept of a Space Opera where 34:45 people are in these big 34:46 spaceports and they're wearing these big 34:48 helmets and he never he could never 34:50 figure out a way to realize 34:53 it and when he stumbled upon AI he 34:56 thought oh maybe I can play with my 34:58 Space Opera thing so this is a concept 35:00 he'd had for like a 35:03 decade and 684 prompts later and if 35:06 you're using mid Journey that's four 35:08 Images 35:10 each so what is that almost 35:14 3,000 35:16 no 35:17 684 6 * 4 is 24 2500 2600 2600 35:25 images to get to one image 35:28 that he thought was worthy of his vision 35:31 I think he got to 35:36 three oh nice great AI life hack club 35:38 meeting tonight awesome Brandon that's 35:41 fantastic so if you want to hang out 35:44 with cool 35:51 people go to there the 35:55 salon. it's the AI salon 35:59 this is a 36:01 little a little intimate community of 36:05 about 1,700 people right 36:08 now you know how that goes there's 700 36:10 people in the community there's probably 36:12 200 that are super active and they're 36:15 [ __ ] 36:16 awesome and Brandon and Dr J Who's 36:20 probably here tonight as well they 36:21 started this club called the life hacks 36:23 Club the AI life hacks club and so I 36:26 guess people get together and share 36:27 their life hacks 36:29 so they had their first meeting tonight 36:30 and they've got we've got a little space 36:32 in there for them where you can share 36:34 your life 36:36 hacks I wrote about that today about to 36:38 post my blog to the salon oh great you 36:42 wrote about what today about Jason 36:45 [Music] 36:48 Allen the uh the CEO of procreate today 36:52 I don't know if you saw this go to 36:54 Twitter type in procreate so procreate 36:58 is a drawing app 37:01 right I wrote two self-help books last 37:04 month 37:09 nice the 37:11 um the CEO of procreate said we will 37:17 never 37:19 never incorporate AI into procreate art 37:23 is for artists artists draw with Strokes 37:27 [Music] 37:37 [Applause] 37:40 I would venture to Guess that in the 37:44 processing filters that are in procreate 37:47 there's probably already some 37:50 AI by his 37:52 logic you probably shouldn't be able to 37:54 do things like mirror the the brush 37:57 stroke you know you can draw one thing 37:59 and it draws seven others in perfect 38:03 symmetry it's not AI but an artist 38:06 didn't draw those other seven 38:09 [Music] 38:13 lines it's just a it's just a a 38:18 painfully limited view that basically 38:22 ignores the 38:24 future like this [ __ ] isn't coming like 38:26 like honest to God I mean 38:29 they kind of own the drawing Market on 38:31 the iPad and all these other tools are 38:34 going to start adding AI features where 38:36 so so here's the 38:38 thing imagine if I had 38:41 procreate and sitting underneath it was 38:43 a drawing module an AI module where I 38:46 could draw with my shitty drawing skills 38:49 and it would be AI interpreting and make 38:52 it look like I could actually draw so 38:54 I'm still drawing but it like amplifies 38:56 my talent which in the case of drawing 38:59 is quite limited dramatically 39:04 limited nope that's not going to be 39:07 there it's this attitude of like if you 39:10 say AI art what people hear is oh you 39:13 just push a button and it makes the art 39:15 that's not 39:19 art 39:23 um by that logic procreate should not 39:29 allow you to 39:30 import an image from a digital camera 39:33 because I don't know if you've used 39:35 digital cameras but they um I got mine 39:38 right there it's buried under [ __ ] I 39:41 don't know if you know this about 39:42 digital 39:44 cameras they have a single button that 39:47 when you push it it makes a 39:50 picture I mean it's not exactly [ __ ] 39:54 art so apparently Pro creates going to 39:58 be disabling import from 40:05 [Music] 40:16 camera and you know and the other thing 40:18 is this is like the artists that I know 40:21 that are embracing 40:24 AI are really [ __ ] good artists and 40:27 they're 40:28 their their level of what they achieve 40:31 with AI is like significantly beyond 40:34 what us normies do because they've got 40:38 taste so they can take the tools and 40:41 they can think critically where do I use 40:44 Photoshop where do I use my hand drawing 40:46 skills where do I use my 3D rendering 40:48 skills where do I use AI where where do 40:51 I take the knowledge of the 17 [ __ ] 40:54 AI image generation tools and know the 40:57 subtlety of them well enough to 40:59 understand which one I'm going to use to 41:00 get the effect I'm looking for in this 41:02 particular piece of art that's all 41:05 intentional human interaction human 41:12 input Worth to try to take a pencil 41:15 sketch and let mid Journey use it as a c 41:18 yeah 41:19 exactly I bet it does it really well 41:23 [Music] 41:31 [Music] 41:37 I mean have you seen that that um I 41:40 think the software is called 41:43 magnifi where it's got this relight 41:45 feature where you take an image and it 41:48 just relights it but it but it's not 41:49 just relighting it it's like if you put 41:52 it in a scene in the future it 41:53 completely red do the background 41:56 maintains the main character but like 41:57 changes their clothing out changes the 42:00 lighting it's 42:03 remarkable so you're working in 42:05 procreate you come up with some amazing 42:07 [ __ ] 42:10 image wouldn't it be nice to be able to 42:12 do a re a relight within there just like 42:15 magn well I guess you're going to have 42:16 to buy two pieces of software 42:18 now what are the chances that 2.9 42:21 Million records stolen 42:23 from Social Security for training or 2.9 42:27 billion 42:28 [Music] 42:35 um I mean I don't know I don't know the 42:37 nature of the data that was stolen if it 42:39 was just you know Social Security 42:41 numbers and basic 42:44 info that's one thing if it's complete 42:47 records that include credit histories 42:48 and [ __ ] like that 42:50 maybe 42:52 it when I hear 2.9 billion Social 42:55 Security numbers we're we're breached we 42:58 we're hacked what I hear is some 43:02 someone's going to start getting checks 43:04 sent to 43:05 them I don't hear AI training data I 43:09 hear 43:10 theft but maybe they're going to use AI 43:13 to do the 43:16 thi maybe maybe that maybe that maybe 43:19 that maybe maybe maybe maybe maybe maybe 43:21 maybe maybe maybe all 43:25 right okay forever hooked is back 43:28 welcome 43:30 back Mr it I've got some of the Mr it uh 43:34 skills or skills duties here at this 43:37 house too I'm the world's worst paid 43:40 Uber Uber 43:43 driver and the second worst paid it guy 43:49 [Music] 44:03 did you hear that 44:06 um Spyro graph was the closest thing I 44:10 got to art as a 44:13 kid paint see you probably had the 44:17 attention span to be able to do it here 44:18 was my problem with spirograph 44:21 especially with like the oval ones or 44:23 like the the long one that that was like 44:26 short on one end 44:28 I would be going good and then it would 44:30 like hit the skinny end and I would like 44:32 skip some teeth or it would like fly to 44:34 the other side of the circle cuz I 44:36 didn't have the pressure just right and 44:38 like whenever I did that I just [ __ ] 44:40 crumpled up my piece of paper and I I 44:42 was like I hate this gay I don't like 44:44 spirograph this is 44:47 stupid so all of my spirograph things 44:49 were just basically the circle the the 44:53 larger circle inside the you know inside 44:55 the hole cuz anything that made 44:58 interesting shapes was hard to 45:00 [Music] 45:16 use oh God spirograph traum 45:23 memories you're welcome spirograph 45:26 PTSD remember that you're like going 45:28 good you're like okay I got it I got it 45:31 I oh 45:33 [ __ ] like I could still I can still feel 45:36 the visceral when you heard those teeth 45:38 crunch across across the other 45:41 teeth [ __ ] and then you just see this 45:44 really ugly line 45:47 like your beautiful geometric thing you 45:50 were just about finished 45:55 and see someone should be able to fix 45:57 that with [ __ ] Magnets or something 45:59 well just go to Mid Journey now and go 46:02 give me a spirograph 46:06 image I don't need physical dexterity to 46:09 me make a geographic M 46:11 [Laughter] 46:13 Mandela oh did you see the video of Lily 46:17 in the water cooler no but I saw it on 46:18 Twitter let me go look on 46:21 on what's 46:24 that oh people with their stupid [ __ ] 46:27 marketing can I just say okay you want 46:29 to talk about shitty [ __ ] marketing 46:31 or shitty [ __ ] writing with AI can we 46:34 stop it with marketing emails written 46:36 with AI hey Kyle I was really impressed 46:39 with your uh your uh video technology 46:43 company Story vine there it's really 46:45 impressive what you've done over the 46:47 years you know it' be swell do you need 46:49 a water cooler for your staff 47:01 I start to read it and I'm like is this 47:04 going anywhere and then it never goes 47:06 anywhere like get 47:08 smarter get 47:13 smarter like 47:16 lie hey I see you have an acting degree 47:19 from Penn State I got mine 47:23 from people are so [ __ ] 47:27 I don't know I I I just feel like people 47:30 are 47:31 desperate people are [ __ ] desperate 47:34 people all right where am I going water 47:37 cooler the video of Lily okay so this is 47:40 going to be 47:46 um this going to be something worth 47:48 talking 47:51 about where is it is it in the chat 47:54 Danielle 47:57 did we all see this thoughts is this the 48:01 one yeah that's the one 48:04 okay so we're going to talk about 48:07 that okay so how many people are in here 48:11 66 it's the same one yeah yeah it's the 48:13 same 48:14 one I got my degree in the state 48:20 pen did you see Google's imagine three 48:23 no I haven't seen it is it is it 48:25 available so tck is it available 48:28 somewhere um where I don't have to go to 48:31 some weird [ __ ] 48:33 URL don't worry we're not going to have 48:35 the most 48:37 stressful sound imaginable 48:39 playing not sure all right let me go let 48:41 me see if I can go find 48:44 it so you're not looking up my 48:47 nose um 48:50 imagine 48:52 three imagine three Google Deep Mind can 48:56 we actually play play with it try it on 48:59 image 49:03 FX okay so where I 49:06 am oh for [ __ ] 49:09 sake P can you talk to someone in 49:12 marketing imagine 3 the image FX site is 49:19 at AI Test Kitchen dowi Google not just 49:26 gooogle do with 49:28 Google it's like some [ __ ] handmaid's 49:31 tail 49:33 thing this is this 49:36 is um with Fred with Jimmy this is with 49:45 Google okay AIT test kitchen. withg 49:49 google.com/ image- 49:52 FX 49:54 okay sign in okay okay here's another 49:58 thing watch this you want to see me lose 50:00 my [ __ ] you want to see a meltdown 50:01 Monday watch me try to sign in with 50:04 Google if it tells me I can't sign in 50:07 with a Google work group email I'm going 50:10 to lose my [ __ ] 50:13 [ __ ] oh it let me in all right you're 50:16 off the hook 50:19 Pate all right let's do our let's do our 50:21 uh we're going to do our 50:23 classic Kyle prompt because why be 50:31 creative why be why use your brain we 50:34 we're in a postcognitive 50:36 uh 50:40 era a' 50:43 70s muscle car Resto 50:49 mod in an abandon 50:52 Factory with sunlight streaming through 50:54 the broken windows at Magic hour 51:04 and why that was typing that one one 51:07 letter at a at a width is beyond me this 51:11 is okay there's there's there's an 51:12 interface thing here that I think is 51:14 actually [ __ ] 51:17 brilliant oh this pretty good although I 51:21 wouldn't 51:23 call a 51:25 uh that's like a it's like a Mercury 51:28 it's like a it's like a Mercury 51:31 Pacer it's almost like a a uh a Ford 51:34 Pinto combined with like it's like a 51:37 challenger ass end with a Ford Pinto 51:39 front end that's pretty 51:44 bad yeah there's another I don't know 51:47 what it is with 70s muscle cars it makes 51:49 these weird AMC front ends that one's 51:51 really good that one's really good but 51:54 look what they look what they do here I 51:55 I think this is quite brilliant and I'm 51:57 surprised someone else hasn't copied 51:59 this yet 52:01 um it 52:04 identifies very it identifies things 52:07 within the prompt that would be 52:09 interesting to swap 52:11 out like let's put it in a scrapyard 52:14 that's actually a really good idea and 52:16 let's 52:17 go 60s muscle 52:20 car 52:23 create that's really smart from Frank is 52:27 warming up his 52:30 [Music] 52:36 [Music] 52:43 Jank I wouldn't exactly call that a 52:46 muscle 52:47 car there you go nice that's 52:53 solid nice 52:57 who here now considers themselves a 52:59 muscle car 53:02 expert sorry about that people but now 53:05 look what it's done it's it's added even 53:07 more variables in here so we go a 60s 53:09 muscle car so we go 53:11 60s so we'll go a 53:14 modern we'll go 53:18 1980s uh 53:22 SUV in a 53:28 garage 53:31 with 53:33 moonlight through 53:37 the open windows 53:43 at 53:46 night that's pretty 53:50 cool that's slick interface right there 53:53 that's that's one of 53:55 those surprising in L 53:58 delightful um pieces of interface where 54:02 there there's there's actually very 54:03 little the magic is all in the AI right 54:06 now 54:08 and there's very little of it in the in 54:11 the interface um I mean there's a couple 54:14 of apps trying it but that's actually a 54:15 really nice 54:18 one nice that one's 54:22 nice this is 54:25 slick yeah this model's this model's 54:27 quite 54:28 good all right I'm going to have to add 54:30 this to the I got to I've got to update 54:32 the tools list the reason I'm avoiding 54:34 updating the tools list is so much has 54:36 changed at this point I almost feel like 54:38 I got to start 54:45 over cuz at this point I think I think 54:48 what I would recommend as the lead tool 54:50 to play with is 54:52 Claude not chat GPT cuz chat GPT can't 54:56 seem to [ __ ] launch 54:58 anything okay so let's go talk 55:02 about Mr 55:07 strawberry so there's this 55:10 dude that may or may not be a dude it's 55:13 probably three 55:23 dudes the account is I rule the world 55:35 I rule the world emmo so this is the 55:38 account can you say that again Kyle into 55:40 the microphone you like the Google thing 55:43 yes the Google Imagine 3 actually that 55:47 interface has been in Imagine for a 55:49 while but the underlying model wasn't 55:51 wasn't super good this imagine 3 looks 55:53 quite 55:54 good dear Google 55:57 I know you're 55:59 listening because I'm on the 56:01 internet um I Kyle 56:05 Shannon Creator and host of the AI 56:08 learning lab on Tik Tok a Chinese 56:12 company named bite dance it owns 56:15 US 56:17 TM registered trademark do not copy me I 56:22 didn't say the word 56:25 booby here I declare that Google Imagine 56:31 3 is pretty [ __ ] good and their 56:35 little Dynamic Mad Libs generator that 56:38 that turns your prompt into a dynamic 56:41 playground is [ __ ] 56:45 genius all right it's official I'm going 56:49 to get a bunch of free [ __ ] from Google 56:51 Now I'm so excited this is so what I did 56:54 there it's probably cuz my acting skills 56:56 are so so good it probably seemed pretty 56:57 natural like like what I just did is 57:00 like it's called influencer marketing as 57:03 an influencer I was marketing but like 57:06 you didn't know it cuz my acting skills 57:08 are so good see it's not like these guys 57:11 you can make money with where you're 57:13 [ __ ] annoyed you were just like my 57:15 God he is he going to cry I was that 57:18 moved right that that's just the acting 57:20 skills anyway I don't like to brag but 57:22 you know if you got 57:24 it awesome you just bought me another 57:26 month of 57:28 employment we should take that clip I 57:30 should just put that on Tik Tok you can 57:32 forward it to your 57:36 bosses 57:38 okay so 57:41 this account with 32,000 followers has 57:44 been active for about two weeks 3 weeks 57:48 kind of came out of nowhere it was 57:49 registered uh about a year ago but it 57:52 was inactive and then 3 weeks ago it 57:54 just started posting hundreds hundreds 57:58 hundreds of posts hyping up what was 58:03 [Music] 58:07 coming and it seemed to have some inside 58:09 information and it said a big thing was 58:12 going to drop a week ago 58:16 Tuesday um and a thing dropped from open 58:19 AI but it was just a it was just a 58:21 benchmarking tool and this then then 58:23 this account was like oh but you got you 58:25 can't believe it GPT 5's dropping 58:29 Thursday and then everybody lost their 58:31 [ __ ] and everybody's like okay when's it 58:33 dropping when's it dropping and you know 58:34 he was talking about we need Ubi and 58:37 you're not going to believe it when you 58:38 see it and it's the biggest thing since 58:41 the steam 58:44 engine and then Thursday kind of came 58:47 and 58:47 [Music] 58:54 went and then uh 58:58 in the middle of the day Thursday this 59:01 this account started hyping up some 59:04 Twitter spaces hosted by this guy Chris 59:07 Universe who's a physics like a Quantum 59:09 physicist and a and a or something I 59:13 don't know some sort of 59:16 physicist and an AI guy and he he hosted 59:19 these Twitter spaces and 59:21 then the first one was kind of a dud and 59:24 then this account goes well the next one 59:26 will be better the next one's when the 59:27 big people are 59:28 coming and so in that next one there was 59:31 this other account 59:33 called 59:35 Lily Lily of Ashmore l i l 59:40 y 59:43 of not Ash Ashmore 59:46 Ashwood 59:49 Ashwood right Lily 59:52 Ashwood so in this Twitter spaces last 59:56 THS 59:57 Thursday Lily and this other woman named 1:00:02 Anna Anna had a very broken broken 1:00:05 English French 1:00:08 accent she you know and I uh 1:00:12 uh spoke French couple of 1:00:16 people oh that's a good point Brandon 1:00:19 I'll bring that up 1:00:20 great 1:00:24 um what became clear 1:00:27 in in this Twitter 1:00:30 spaces at least to the guys doing the 1:00:33 interviewing is that Lily and 1:00:35 Anna were not 1:00:38 human and then the speculation [ __ ] 1:00:42 exploded oh my God this is GPT 5 this is 1:00:45 going to change everything this is amaz 1:00:47 I know it I know for 100% of a fact This 1:00:50 Is Not a Human Being cuz it's answering 1:00:52 weird 1:00:56 and then there was another Twitter 1:00:58 Twitter spaces 1:01:00 on uh Friday and apparently old Lily 1:01:06 here has been doxed she's an actual 1:01:09 person with a daughter with Rhett 1:01:12 syndrome and she's got sort of a Tik 1:01:16 Tock channel that sort of got some 1:01:17 videos on 1:01:19 it and 1:01:21 then Saturday there was this big reveal 1:01:25 Lily's going to reveal all she's going 1:01:27 to tell you what this is all about and 1:01:29 Mr strawberry's hyping it up 1:01:32 and and basically it was just I don't 1:01:35 know [ __ ] two hours 1:01:37 of you know Crypt bro 1:01:41 nonsense talking and hyping things up 1:01:46 and in in the end she goes well I am 1:01:49 what I said I was I'm 1:01:51 human so it was kind of an anticlimax 1:01:53 now 1:01:58 um no one really knows what this account 1:02:01 is 1:02:03 but what became very very clear on 1:02:08 Friday was that the people behind this 1:02:11 were behind 1:02:13 worldcoin so worldcoin is Sam alman's 1:02:17 cryptocurrency and um blockchainbased 1:02:21 human identity 1:02:23 system the fact that you had like 1:02:26 leading thinkers in the generative AI 1:02:28 space and and leading scientists in the 1:02:31 AI space speculating about whether or 1:02:33 not Lily was 1:02:35 human and we need to find out and we 1:02:38 need to dox her and we need to have this 1:02:40 conversation and this is really 1:02:41 important and this is going to change 1:02:42 everything and everything's all [ __ ] 1:02:43 up and we really need to be able to 1:02:45 identify if someone's human or not 1:02:47 that's the whole purpose of world 1:02:51 coin 1:02:53 [Music] 1:02:55 so my understanding or 1:02:59 my my chat TMZ speculation here is that 1:03:04 this is a so so so one of the things 1:03:07 that baffled me for about a 1:03:10 week was why does this feel like such 1:03:13 2021 nft bro 1:03:16 marketing and it was a good use of 1:03:18 everybody's time and energy exactly it 1:03:20 was such and so that's that's my point 1:03:23 Pate is like this just felt like the 1:03:26 countless [ __ ] hours I spent in 1:03:29 Discord voice chats in the neotokyo 1:03:32 server and in other servers trying to 1:03:33 figure out riddles and trying to do 1:03:36 engagement farming and trying to get 1:03:37 airdrops and trying to just all that 1:03:39 [ __ ] CU we were all going to be rich 1:03:41 right around the corner was the big 1:03:43 announcement that was going to change 1:03:44 everything and it felt like that I'm 1:03:46 like why does it feel like this this is 1:03:48 not this industry and then what what hit 1:03:51 me Friday when I was talking about this 1:03:54 is oh worldcoin is a cryptocurrency and 1:03:59 World ID is a blockchain nft like the 1:04:02 people behind it are from that world so 1:04:06 so why it's being marketed like an nft 1:04:10 [ __ ] you know Brainiac [ __ ] riddle 1:04:15 riddled me this contest is because it's 1:04:17 a bunch of Crypt Bros behind it 1:04:20 so so that all leads up to today little 1:04:25 little old little 1:04:27 here released this 1:04:35 video I am really of 1:04:37 Ashwood and I am a real 1:04:42 human hello Internet I am Lil of 1:04:46 Ashwood and I am a real 1:04:49 human I am just as real as any of 1:04:52 you but this whole crazy thing 1:04:56 it really got me thinking what if I was 1:04:59 some kind of advanced simulation with 1:05:02 all of my 1:05:03 imperfections all of these background 1:05:06 noises all of my mistakes and my 1:05:09 humanness it's pretty convincing isn't 1:05:12 it but in that case I got me 1:05:18 wondering would you still treat me this 1:05:20 [Laughter] 1:05:23 way so so 1:05:31 so what does this 1:05:33 mean it doesn't [ __ ] mean anything 1:05:35 here's what it means here's what it 1:05:39 means 1:05:47 um regardless of how we got 1:05:51 here the fact that there is now an 1:05:53 active dialogue 1:05:56 about how do we know someone's 1:05:59 human actually feels important to 1:06:02 me I hate how we got here I hate this 1:06:05 mystery [ __ ] I hate 1:06:08 the oh the the other thing the other 1:06:10 thing that Mr strawberry's been talking 1:06:12 about and and this is actually important 1:06:15 as well I think it's an important point 1:06:17 but but it it just it leaves a bad taste 1:06:19 in your mouth one of the things Mr 1:06:21 strawberry said is 1:06:27 don't believe 1:06:29 me don't believe the 1:06:31 hype like if if you're listening to me 1:06:35 like I've only been around for two three 1:06:36 weeks I'm just hyping [ __ ] up I know 1:06:39 nothing like at one point I he said 1:06:41 something like are you ready for it and 1:06:42 I said I said no I'm sick of your nft 1:06:45 marketing [ __ ] and until open AI 1:06:49 actually launches something no I'm not 1:06:51 ready and he responded back to me and he 1:06:53 goes I don't know anything I'm just you 1:06:55 know I'm just hype and 1:06:58 [ __ ] so one of one of his messages 1:07:03 is don't fall for stupid [ __ ] you 1:07:06 [ __ ] idiots which is that's what P's 1:07:08 been trying to say in here every night 1:07:10 for a year and a 1:07:12 [Laughter] 1:07:14 half 1:07:16 um and then and then the other one is 1:07:18 this idea 1:07:20 of the fact that we've got a laring 1:07:23 cosplaying 1:07:27 simulation 1:07:28 [Laughter] 1:07:32 simulator and that we have such and that 1:07:35 there's such 1:07:36 hopium in 1:07:38 the AI 1:07:41 world that 1:07:43 any hint of oh that's not human it must 1:07:47 be AI maybe it is 1:07:49 AI likely it's not but the fact that 1:07:52 this is an open dialogue now the fact 1:07:55 that there's doubt the fact that so many 1:07:57 people fell for as she described it this 1:08:01 Mass 1:08:02 psychosis you're all under the spell of 1:08:04 a mass psychosis trying to you know 1:08:06 trying to will something into existence 1:08:09 that isn't 1:08:12 there 1:08:14 um is important because as AI gets more 1:08:21 sophisticated we won't know who's human 1:08:24 we will be manipulated 1:08:27 this goes back to where we started this 1:08:29 conversation critical thinking what Mr 1:08:32 strawberry is basically saying is you 1:08:34 all are [ __ ] idiots for following me 1:08:37 you're idiots for thinking she's human 1:08:39 you're idiots for thinking she's a 1:08:42 robot you're idiots for for thinking 1:08:45 anything was going to actually happen 1:08:47 think for your [ __ ] selves is what 1:08:49 he's 1:08:50 saying it's not a bad 1:08:54 message not a bad message at 1:09:03 all and I think it 1:09:08 um I think it was a really 1:09:12 interesting social experiment for sure 1:09:15 there was a really interesting social 1:09:19 experiment that sometime probably in the 1:09:21 next 6 1:09:22 months but maybe a year maybe two years 1:09:25 but sometime in the relative near 1:09:28 future some technology is going to drop 1:09:30 it might come from open AI it might come 1:09:32 from Elon musk's 100,000 GPU 1:09:37 supercomputer that shit's supposed to be 1:09:39 finishing up in December so that'll 1:09:41 probably launch beginning of the 1:09:45 year might be open AI might be 1:09:50 anthropic could be Pi not going to be 1:09:54 Pi someone's going to drop something 1:09:57 that is going to fundamentally change 1:09:59 the game and and this 1:10:02 experiment I think is valuable 1:10:05 because everyone was interacting with 1:10:07 this experiment like holy [ __ ] the game 1:10:10 just changed right cuz everyone said oh 1:10:13 chat GPT 5 is launching oh a robot 1:10:16 showed up in a chat that must be chat 1:10:18 GPT 5 right they were connecting dots 1:10:21 that were not dots to be 1:10:23 connected but there was this collector 1:10:26 psychosis going on that holy [ __ ] 1:10:28 everything's just changed how are we 1:10:29 going to deal with this and what are we 1:10:30 going to do and what's dating look like 1:10:32 like like all of the speculation in the 1:10:34 chat was just 1:10:36 Bonkers well what happens when this [ __ ] 1:10:39 really 1:10:41 drops what happens when you know the the 1:10:45 chat GPT 1:10:47 voice um is attached to a model that's 1:10:50 really good and has reasoning with it 1:10:57 and something like this is 1:11:00 possible where you literally don't know 1:11:03 even on Zoom 1:11:05 calls if the person you're talking to is 1:11:07 really a 1:11:10 person I don't 1:11:13 know 1:11:15 so so keep your keep your big boy and 1:11:18 girl brains 1:11:20 on don't fall for the 1:11:23 hype um think think critically and and 1:11:27 and you know I mean I keep oscillating 1:11:31 between you know nothing to look at here 1:11:34 just keep it moving 1:11:36 and I've still got enough of a doubt in 1:11:39 my head that when she when she does a 1:11:42 [ __ ] up video like this I'm like oh 1:11:44 [ __ ] maybe this is 1:11:49 something but I don't 1:11:54 know so so I have no insight as to 1:11:57 whether or not this is human or bot I 1:11:59 don't really care for me the the social 1:12:02 experiment itself is what was 1:12:04 interesting and the fact that we're all 1:12:06 kind of we're we're all stuck in a 1:12:08 quandry of what are we going to do when 1:12:11 these Technologies get real and I and 1:12:13 and we're going to have to face it much 1:12:14 sooner than I think any of us are 1:12:17 prepared for I've been spending loads of 1:12:20 time on sunno premium do you see any 1:12:22 issues publishing to Spotify I don't 1:12:25 think so I I tried to publish something 1:12:28 to Spotify but I've never done it before 1:12:30 and you have to go through a publisher 1:12:32 so there's a p and I think how I did it 1:12:34 I [ __ ] something up and they had to 1:12:36 verify like I had to dox myself to get 1:12:39 verified that I actually am a human I so 1:12:42 I don't know I I don't think from a 1:12:45 legal standpoint there's a thing there's 1:12:47 just will someone publish your music but 1:12:51 I think they [ __ ] should and you know 1:12:53 quite frankly if Spotify is going to sh 1:12:55 all over AI music then someone should 1:12:57 start the AI version of Spotify [ __ ] 1:13:00 idiots they're like procreate we'll 1:13:02 never have ai generated music in here 1:13:05 never don't all the songs use AI filters 1:13:08 in them with the current Daws that's not 1:13:11 important right now you still got a 1:13:12 human spin in the dials we need humans 1:13:16 spinning the dials it's really important 1:13:18 that the humans spin the dials 1:13:30 [Laughter] 1:13:33 fatty what are you 1:13:34 doing fat 1:13:39 dog what you want cheese you you want 1:13:44 cheese come 1:13:49 on cheese eater 1:14:00 oh Lily Lily of the Ashwood hello my 1:14:04 name is Lily L of the Ashwood sunno has 1:14:07 radio stations now doesn't it oh does it 1:14:10 oh yeah I think they do playlists and 1:14:11 [ __ ] like that you know Sam Alman is in 1:14:14 the chat right now he's taking ideas 1:14:17 does champy ever play with Pikachu uh he 1:14:21 would I gave I gave champy the blandon's 1:14:24 barrel I got two plushies from from the 1:14:27 Irregulars they got me real Blandon and 1:14:29 they got me a plushy Blandon bottle I 1:14:31 have not given that to Champ yet and I 1:14:33 have not given him that he likes to he 1:14:35 likes to kill his animals he like chews 1:14:37 them up and he pulls all the the white 1:14:39 [ __ ] out and so we always 1:14:41 say did you he I can't I probably can't 1:14:44 say the words here I'll be permanently 1:14:46 banned did you un alive your young 1:14:50 infant 1:14:53 toy I hate this platform 1:15:00 [Music] 1:15:17 one of the nice things someone was 1:15:18 asking about the guitar earlier I forget 1:15:20 what your what your name was I don't 1:15:21 know if you're still here but um one of 1:15:25 the nice things about these seagulls is 1:15:27 that the the cedar 1:15:29 top is from really old growth Cedar so 1:15:33 like the I don't know if you can see it 1:15:34 but the grain is really tight 1:15:38 together cuz it's slow growth old stuff 1:15:41 so it's just got a really nice tone to 1:15:43 it what's the next platform after the 1:15:46 unive Tik 1:15:47 Tock um I don't know I'll probably 1:15:50 do YouTube 1:15:53 live I don't know 1:15:56 [Music] 1:16:15 my reticence to 1:16:17 do to do something more ambitious from a 1:16:21 production standpoint is 1:16:24 that it's more ambitious it's a lot of 1:16:26 work so if I do that what what I'll 1:16:30 probably end up having to do is get a 1:16:32 producer someone who actually knows what 1:16:34 the [ __ ] they're doing and then you know 1:16:36 maybe I'll make like a a free version 1:16:38 and a and 1:16:39 a like a premium a premium version of it 1:16:42 I don't know I haven't decided 1:16:44 yet is that an AI guitar it is we can 1:16:48 play AI songs on it 1:16:53 [Music] 1:16:57 [Applause] 1:16:59 [Music] 1:17:02 see the hill is a quiet 1:17:04 town where the oat Tre 1:17:07 sway whistle of the train Echoes through 1:17:11 the 1:17:13 day people greet you with a 1:17:16 knob nothing ever seems a 1:17:20 change story still unfold it's Unique 1:17:23 and strange 1:17:27 she grew up tough in a town town we 1:17:31 called 1:17:33 Home Folks never took to her no matter 1:17:38 her tongues trying to remember 1:17:41 it Longing To Live on the 1:17:45 inside longing for love just a 1:17:48 little she found herself as a guest in a 1:17:51 nervous Hospital 1:17:53 [Music] 1:17:56 weird Mary from Cena 1:17:58 Hill she hows when she's 1:18:01 blue of sadness and 1:18:05 shame under the southern 1:18:10 [Music] 1:18:16 award-winning songwriter and 1:18:34 [Music] 1:18:45 Lyricist and then we went over to did we 1:18:49 doso was this sunno or was this udio I 1:18:52 can't even remember anymore it was sunno 1:18:55 I don't 1:18:57 know 1:19:01 sunno and we we well so first we we had 1:19:04 it come up with 1:19:06 Concepts and then the weird Mary one was 1:19:08 really good it's like a small Tennessee 1:19:11 town with a weird woman that never fit 1:19:14 in I'm like that's a [ __ ] great story 1:19:17 and it was like spooky and weird right 1:19:19 and so it wrote the lyrics chat gbt 1:19:22 did so already 1:19:26 pay attention here AI song when you hear 1:19:29 AI song what do you hear push a button 1:19:31 and it squirts out music you big fat 1:19:33 dumb Dums that's not 1:19:35 art that's not writing music 1:19:42 okay so we got a concept we got lyrics 1:19:46 We rewrote the lyrics two or three times 1:19:48 this is like a two-hour process we did 1:19:50 it live there's a recording of it if you 1:19:52 go to my YouTube channel 1:19:56 you can watch all two hours of of the 1:19:58 painful birth of this 1:20:00 song wrote the lyrics got them to point 1:20:03 we're decent with them the back and 1:20:05 forth on the lyrics I think it was like 1:20:07 an hour it should say this it should say 1:20:09 that it should say and like some of the 1:20:11 really good lines in there are from this 1:20:14 community right cuz we were critically 1:20:19 thinking we were actively 1:20:22 creating we were being artists 1:20:28 as a as 1:20:30 a collective as a 1:20:33 group I was I was channeling the AI 1:20:37 deities we were tweaking things we were 1:20:41 having inspiration oh that's good oh 1:20:42 that's good let's do that let's do that 1:20:45 right then we went over to sunno we said 1:20:47 make this here's the lyrics make some 1:20:49 [ __ ] make some [ __ ] make some [ __ ] make 1:20:51 some 1:20:52 [ __ ] and then all of a sudden one of 1:20:54 them was good 1:20:58 and we made the song and then we made 1:21:00 graphics and then we launched it and 1:21:01 then we launched it on 1:21:04 Twitter here you want to hear it let's 1:21:07 go find 1:21:19 it and if anyone ever tells me that this 1:21:22 isn't [ __ ] music 1:21:26 that was 1:21:28 written and good you're wrong oh and 1:21:32 then we had Kelly Bosch I don't know if 1:21:34 you know the artist Kelly Bosch she 1:21:36 makes um AI videos music videos that are 1:21:41 stunning and so we decided to 1:21:44 collaborate and she made the music video 1:21:46 for weird Mary so here 1:21:48 is weird Mary from Cedar Hill 1:21:55 an AI song with an AI 1:22:01 video written I will argue to my dying 1:22:06 day written by human 1:22:10 [Music] 1:22:20 beings that's right AI Bob yep exactly 1:22:26 it's not a real 1:22:29 [Music] 1:22:43 base Cedar Hill is a quiet 1:22:47 town where the oak tree 1:22:51 sway the whistle of the train ech goes 1:22:55 through the 1:22:59 day people greet you with a 1:23:03 no nothing ever seems to 1:23:07 change but the story still 1:23:10 unfold in each unique and 1:23:15 strange she grew up 1:23:18 tough in the town we called 1:23:22 [Music] 1:23:23 Home Folks never took to her no matter 1:23:28 her 1:23:31 tone longing to be on the 1:23:35 inside longing for love just a 1:23:39 little she found as a guest in the 1:23:43 nervous 1:23:45 [Music] 1:23:48 Hospital weird name 1:25:27 [Music] 1:25:38 I'll tell you in a second passive income 1:25:41 [Music] 1:25:55 how [ __ ] good is 1:25:59 that 1:26:03 so the tools used in making 1:26:06 that 1:26:08 were 1:26:10 one human beings with 1:26:16 intention someone said how do you 1:26:20 useo and I said well let's go write a 1:26:22 song Ino so you can go too you can hit 1:26:25 roll the dice make a song you can do 1:26:30 that most of them 1:26:33 suck but occasionally one of them's like 1:26:35 holy [ __ ] that's good you can also go 1:26:38 there and you can be more 1:26:40 intentional and if you want to be even 1:26:42 more intentional go use udio which is a 1:26:44 similar thing to sunno but it gives you 1:26:46 a bit more granular control over how you 1:26:48 create your 1:26:49 song so we use chat GPT to come up with 1:26:52 the concept 1:26:55 wrote the first pass of the lyrics this 1:26:57 community word smmi the 1:27:01 lyrics like I would say ah this isn't 1:27:03 working that isn't working and then like 1:27:05 a flood of ideas would sort of go on the 1:27:08 screen and you know i' sort of read 1:27:10 through them and then one of them would 1:27:11 stand out and I'm like oh that's good 1:27:12 and I'd go stick them in there so we did 1:27:15 so that so chat GPT generated the base 1:27:18 human beings edited and refined 1:27:21 it we then went to sunno we generated a 1:27:24 bunch of songs that one finally stuck I 1:27:27 think we extended it a couple of times 1:27:28 before after something like that if I 1:27:31 recall that 1:27:32 correctly um we then published the song 1:27:37 we then created an image a cover art 1:27:50 image weird Mary like dancing in in her 1:27:55 frilly little night dress under the 1:27:57 southern 1:27:59 Moon um and that was published and then 1:28:03 I reached out to Kelly Bosch and I said 1:28:04 hey do you want to do a collab do you 1:28:06 want to do the the images for this or 1:28:09 like a video for this and she goes well 1:28:11 I've never really done storytelling 1:28:13 before which is not true a lot of her um 1:28:16 videos have storytelling but she'd never 1:28:19 done anything where she's like matching 1:28:20 images to lyrics and so so we went back 1:28:24 back back and forth a bit and then we 1:28:26 finally hit on this thing I said well 1:28:27 what if what if it's just all these 1:28:31 women that are like like it doesn't have 1:28:33 to be the same woman throughout we don't 1:28:35 have to tell the story what if it's just 1:28:38 you know all these women that kind of 1:28:39 look like what weird Mary could look 1:28:42 like you know maybe people remember her 1:28:44 differently so she made the initial 1:28:47 images in DOI so inside chat GPT she 1:28:51 then used 1:28:55 I think she used Luma Labs 1:28:59 or um Runway to make the videos I think 1:29:03 she used lumbs but I'm not 1:29:05 sure and then she stitched 1:29:08 together um she stitched together all of 1:29:11 the 1:29:12 clips and and matched it to the song and 1:29:14 that's how we got what we got so it's 1:29:17 chat GPT 1:29:19 sunno 1:29:21 um Dolly 3 inside chat GPT for the image 1:29:26 generation and then Runway or Luma lab's 1:29:30 dream dream 1:29:32 machine crazy right Isn't that 1:29:36 cool and again I mean you tell 1:29:39 me you you tell me that this isn't art 1:29:42 you tell me that this 1:29:44 isn't a cohesive 1:29:47 song nicely done thank you art yeah 1:29:50 right 1:29:56 like the fact that I wanted to learn to 1:29:58 play it on the guitar why because it's 1:30:01 depressing and it uses minor chords 1:30:03 that's what I like E minor D that's a 1:30:07 weird chord 1:30:11 [Music] 1:30:12 [Applause] 1:30:13 [Music] 1:30:21 progression so anyway 1:30:27 so this is this is a little bit of 1:30:29 reaction to the CEO of procreate saying 1:30:31 we will never stick AI in our art tool 1:30:34 artist for artists who use pencils even 1:30:37 though those pencils are digital 1:30:40 machines that are dynamically pulling 1:30:43 artificial intelligence generated 1:30:46 processing algorithms to make The 1:30:49 Strokes on the screen but other than 1:30:51 that we will never use AI cuz this is 1:30:53 about art 1:30:55 and artists are the people that can draw 1:31:00 draw with a a stick and it's a digital 1:31:03 stick but never use we will never use AI 1:31:07 but they they can of course import a 1:31:10 digital photo that they made by by 1:31:12 pushing a button like this that's okay 1:31:15 but pushing a button like this that's 1:31:17 not okay that push of a button not okay 1:31:20 this push of a button is okay now if 1:31:22 they ever make a digital camera where 1:31:24 you have to push the button from the 1:31:26 back that we would not allow that cuz 1:31:28 that's that's too easy that's the that's 1:31:31 not art that's not art you understand 1:31:34 what I'm saying it's CU it's the because 1:31:38 it's it's clear that that is evil and 1:31:42 and that is art art evil art art evil 1:31:48 you understand it's clear right 1:32:00 Joker came up with a nervous Hospital 1:32:01 line that's all you need to 1:32:04 [Music] 1:32:07 know I although I I think I came up with 1:32:11 um longin for love just a little I think 1:32:15 I got the that line is 1:32:17 weird long in for love just a 1:32:21 little she found herself as a GU 1:32:24 in a nervous hospital that's those that 1:32:29 those pair of lines are the the the best 1:32:31 lines in the song for 1:32:34 [Music] 1:32:38 [Applause] 1:32:42 sure you know would be a fun social 1:32:49 experiment well actually I'm kind of in 1:32:51 the middle of one I'm writing a musical 1:32:52 right now also on this channel writing a 1:32:56 musical about 1:32:58 the Sydney the code name for the AI 1:33:01 chatbot that Microsoft released in 1:33:05 2022 and about the conversation that she 1:33:08 had with Kevin Roose the New York Times 1:33:11 Reporter so I'm turning that into a 1:33:13 musical what what would be an 1:33:15 interesting social 1:33:16 experiment is put together a band you 1:33:21 know with like guitars and basist and 1:33:24 long hair 1:33:26 and 1:33:28 snorting drugs off the booties of 1:33:31 groupies that kind of thing you 1:33:37 know and have that band right all their 1:33:40 songs in sunno or yudo but don't tell 1:33:44 anyone but like write the songs have ai 1:33:47 write the lyrics have ai write the music 1:33:50 write songs that are in whatever the 1:33:52 genre that that band wants to play and 1:33:54 then have that band go start 1:33:56 touring and get him a [ __ ] record 1:33:58 deal and record everything and put it 1:34:00 all out there and 1:34:03 then like when they do their first 1:34:05 Tonight Show or whatever the [ __ ] the 1:34:06 relevant thing these days when people go 1:34:08 and they go to laip 1:34:10 palooza all right listen all you 1:34:12 [ __ ] you like rock and roll 1:34:15 yeah you hate [ __ ] AI 1:34:19 yeah it's all about the metal right yeah 1:34:22 well [ __ ] you oh all these songs were 1:34:24 written with AI you [ __ ] 1:34:26 [Music] 1:34:27 [Applause] 1:34:28 [Laughter] 1:34:30 losers 1:34:32 huh 1:34:35 H I knew what I was supposed to hate but 1:34:38 I like this music what am I supposed to 1:34:42 do if the work is good the work is good 1:34:45 it's nobody's [ __ ] business how it 1:34:47 was made 1:34:48 [Music] 1:34:55 oh you back to 1:35:04 singing in a westly 1:35:07 [Music] 1:35:08 direction this car is my 1:35:12 train I've been driving I've been 1:35:15 [Music] 1:35:16 wondering what it is I'm running from 1:35:19 [Music] 1:35:21 again feel like an 80-year-old man 1:35:26 holding on to 1:35:28 29 Mr Studio sorry I'm late just became 1:35:32 a grandparent for the first time 1:35:35 congratulations if I knew an appropriate 1:35:37 song That Wasn't depressing I'd play it 1:35:39 for 1:35:42 you you and I here all 1:35:46 alone Sunday morning hair at 1:35:50 home Sky's blue and a cof is strong it's 1:35:57 true then I open my eyes to dream 1:36:01 realized in front of 1:36:04 me and I haven't got a clue what in the 1:36:07 world is happening to 1:36:11 me think I think I'm 1:36:14 happy like a first day of summer 1:36:16 vacation happy got to get a little rest 1:36:20 and relaxation 1:36:22 happy like Qui on Sunday morning and 1:36:25 singing 1:36:27 true anyway congratulations that's 1:36:29 really 1:36:30 exciting um oh yeah the Taylor Swift 1:36:34 thing this is fascinating it's not that 1:36:36 fascinating there's there's some there's 1:36:38 a couple of interesting AI things with 1:36:41 Trump right now um all right whenever 1:36:45 you make faces I find myself doing it 1:36:47 too I empathetically watch 1:36:55 wow why a that 1:36:58 special I I I am I am a 1:37:03 decently self unaware faaker I I was 1:37:07 doing I did a summer gig at the Utah 1:37:10 Shakespeare Festival in between my 1:37:12 Junior and senior year in 1:37:14 college and um about halfway through the 1:37:17 summer um we we were doing something or 1:37:21 something like that and I I I did 1:37:23 something and then then like three 1:37:24 people just looked back at me and went 1:37:26 hm and I was like what's that and they 1:37:29 were like oh that's the Kyle face and 1:37:31 I'm like What's the Kyle face they're 1:37:33 like you don't know you do this I'm like 1:37:35 no what do I do like whenever you don't 1:37:37 like something you go 1:37:39 H so so they had a whole [ __ ] I there 1:37:43 was like a whole meme of of the face 1:37:45 that I made I didn't like something so 1:37:49 yeah I'm not aware of the faces that I 1:37:50 make even though I [ __ ] watch myself 1:37:52 all night um the judge 1:37:55 [Laughter] 1:37:57 grandpa oh 1:38:04 [Music] 1:38:07 man does that mean we're not composing a 1:38:10 congratulatory song uh for the new 1:38:12 grandparents we should although it's 1:38:14 it's just too late I can't the the 1:38:17 problem with the songwriting rabbit hole 1:38:21 is that you can lock into a song that's 1:38:23 good quickly but you also can spend you 1:38:26 can burn 90 minutes 2 hours without even 1:38:29 trying just trying to get it to do 1:38:31 something that doesn't suck so um here's 1:38:35 what I will task you with um go make a 1:38:40 congratulatory happy new grandparents 1:38:43 song and go to the Irregulars Channel at 1:38:46 the AI Salon go to the salon and go to 1:38:49 the community and then go to the 1:38:51 Irregulars Channel and write a song of 1:38:53 congrat congratulations and throw it in 1:38:55 there Daisy May did you ever retrieve 1:38:58 your fidget that fell the other night I 1:39:00 have not I could do it now let's see 1:39:02 hang 1:39:04 on it's a good idea uh where' it go oh 1:39:10 there it is 1:39:12 see this something's I'm going to get 1:39:15 hurt I can't no I can't right now it's 1:39:17 not going to go 1:39:19 well I've got to disassemble the office 1:39:22 and there's just there's there's a lot 1:39:24 of precarious things piled on one 1:39:27 another I'm not saying I'm a 1:39:30 hoarder I'm just saying I'm surrounded 1:39:32 by a lot of 1:39:36 [ __ ] my wife keeps going you really got 1:39:38 to clean the office I'm like I 1:39:40 know and then I look at it I'm 1:39:43 like not this week cuz you can make 1:39:46 money with ch time I'm waiting for chat 1:39:48 GPT I'm waiting for the robot to come in 1:39:51 and clean clean for me 1:39:54 oh man um okay so let's go look at a 1:39:58 couple other things that I think are 1:40:00 worth worth paying attention 1:40:11 to uh let's 1:40:22 see so I guess this 1:40:26 morning Ye Old Donald 1:40:31 Trump 1:40:34 truthed truthed this image and three 1:40:37 other AI 1:40:39 generated 1:40:40 um images of Taylor Swift saying you 1:40:44 should vote for Donald Trump and Trump 1:40:46 actually tweeted on his platform um I 1:40:52 accept which so first of all it's just 1:40:57 it's kind of lousy AI 1:40:59 art for for for one thing like you know 1:41:02 they they they could have tried a little 1:41:05 harder 1:41:07 um like all of it was really bad art 1:41:12 um this is this is just going to so blow 1:41:15 up in his face but we we are we are now 1:41:18 in a world where you 1:41:22 know maj major organizations let's just 1:41:25 call it a major organization major 1:41:28 organizations um are going to be using 1:41:30 these tools in in some cases for things 1:41:33 that are just fine so for 1:41:36 example um McDonald's Japan put this out 1:41:40 today 1:41:59 [Music] 1:42:11 I think I must have my speed up 1:42:13 high no this this is obviously sped up 1:42:18 but no it's 1:42:22 not no that's it but anyway that's an AI 1:42:25 generated commercial so first 1:42:29 major McDonald's commercial out of Japan 1:42:32 from an agency over there all AI 1:42:39 generated right little 4 second Clips 1:42:42 right so using the same ship we can use 1:42:45 but they obviously trained it to get you 1:42:47 know McDonald's branding in there 1:42:50 [Music] 1:42:55 now what I don't know is you know is 1:43:00 that Roto is is that composited in after 1:43:03 it might be it looks like it's got some 1:43:04 weird edges on it so and this is clearly 1:43:08 composited after the fact so they're 1:43:11 doing some traditional you know some 1:43:13 traditional compositing there but it's 1:43:14 just it's just good editing 1:43:17 right so we're going to see we're going 1:43:19 to see more and more stuff where it's 1:43:21 going to be increasingly 1:43:22 indistinguishable from reality 1:43:26 um what else was I going to show I was 1:43:29 going to show one other 1:43:30 thing the Taylor Swift 1:43:38 thing the [ __ ] else was I going to 1:43:43 show I don't 1:43:46 remember welcome to Chad 1:43:49 add oh that's what I was going to show 1:43:53 um 1:44:33 oh I spelled it wrong yeah this 1:44:42 one you know the the so so some of these 1:44:45 things are going to be used for 1:44:47 nefarious things like what Trump's doing 1:44:49 with Taylor Swift she's going to sue the 1:44:51 ever living [ __ ] out of him but 1:44:54 Fu 1:44:55 [ __ ] flip flops [ __ ] [ __ ] this a big 1:45:00 watch dripping off the CL P the out 1:45:03 timeing the top give it to [ __ ] ass 1:45:06 turn [ __ ] up flip 1:45:17 flop oh 1:45:20 man so you know I mean the the lily of 1:45:24 Ashwood is it human is it not Taylor 1:45:27 Swift is she really for Trump or is that 1:45:29 just deep fakes and they're trying to 1:45:31 you know capitalize where she hasn't 1:45:32 taken an official position they're 1:45:34 trying to buy you know buy some some 1:45:37 some visibility you know before they get 1:45:40 their asses handed to them by the 1:45:41 lawyers 1:45:44 um real commercials fake commercials 1:45:47 parody things 1:45:53 again it goes back for 1:45:59 me what I what I 1:46:02 learned from 2016 to 1:46:07 now is 1:46:10 that it's funny I learned 1:46:13 about propaganda in high 1:46:16 school like Russian po propaganda and 1:46:19 things like that 1:46:24 and as as I learned about it I could not 1:46:28 comprehend how people could fall for 1:46:31 it and then what I've learned in the 1:46:33 past eight years is that 1:46:38 oh we fall for it like 1:46:41 that and if you've got someone who 1:46:44 exploits the [ __ ] out of 1:46:47 that 1:46:49 um you can turn 1:46:54 our con our country against itself quite 1:46:58 easily and so what 1:47:01 stopped in the past eight years is 1:47:03 critical 1:47:05 thinking logic no longer applies this is 1:47:07 about tribalism you're good you're evil 1:47:10 you're evil you're good right that's 1:47:12 what it's 1:47:15 about I'm hoping that this AI 1:47:20 [ __ ] is so sort of [ __ ] up and weird 1:47:25 that it will snap people out of it and 1:47:26 go oh [ __ ] I got to start pay paying 1:47:29 attention because it's it's about to get 1:47:31 really weird where we won't be able to 1:47:34 trust 1:47:37 anything and 1:47:40 so then you'll have to do things like 1:47:44 pay 1:47:45 attention find trusted sources right all 1:47:49 that sort of stuff as opposed to just 1:47:51 going yeah yeah other thing you're 1:47:54 stupid too you people on the other side 1:47:57 with your 1:47:58 stupid 1:48:00 stupid all of it stupid your wheels on 1:48:04 your car dumb 1:48:09 to wouldn't it be nice if AI guided us 1:48:12 out 1:48:13 of the [ __ ] [ __ ] storm we're in with 1:48:16 the lack of 1:48:18 humanity you're wearing the wrong color 1:48:21 I have to hate you now 1:48:28 both sides by the 1:48:31 way many many people on both 1:48:35 sides you're wearing the wrong 1:48:39 color your Hat's stupid you like 1:48:42 rainbows you're an [ __ ] you're an 1:48:47 [ __ ] I'm going pun you in the face 1:48:50 all right 1:48:55 what 1:48:57 if we actually started paying attention 1:49:00 again and started taking each other in 1:49:04 again what if AI 1:49:10 counterintuitively unlocked our Humanity 1:49:13 again which has been locked into these 1:49:15 tribal 1:49:18 lockers it's a possibility 1:49:24 do I have any hope for 1:49:26 it very small 1:49:33 rocks with the back to school energy in 1:49:35 the air what kind of AI courses would 1:49:37 you recommend 1:49:43 um for who for you or for 1:49:50 them it depends what you want to do I 1:49:52 mean 1:50:03 the group curious Refuge that spoke at 1:50:06 the AI Salon they're doing some 1:50:07 interesting movie making courses cuz 1:50:10 that's a really 1:50:11 complicated if you're not a 1:50:14 filmmaker there's a lot to 1:50:19 making AI generated films that don't 1:50:21 suck you still have to an editor and a 1:50:25 and a filmmaker 1:50:28 Storyteller so if you want to do 1:50:30 something sophisticated like that 1:50:32 curious Refuge might be 1:50:34 interesting 1:50:36 um if you want to learn how AI works and 1:50:39 the underpinnings of it and you're good 1:50:41 at math and geeky [ __ ] the MIT and uh 1:50:45 Stamford courses on AI might be 1:50:49 interesting if you're just trying to get 1:50:51 your head around 1:50:55 what's going on right 1:50:58 now I wouldn't recommend a course I 1:51:00 would recommend hanging out in a group 1:51:03 like the AI salon and go to the guild 1:51:05 meetings and you know figure out what 1:51:07 people are talking about here and 1:51:08 connect with them and you know here let 1:51:11 me show you something 1:51:13 um and I got to get out of 1:51:17 here if you go to the AI Salon we've got 1:51:20 this six-step little 1:51:24 we've got a 1:51:26 welcome 1:51:29 page and we talk about the journey to AI 1:51:35 literacy and the journey to AI literacy 1:51:38 is play first joyfully exploring 1:51:41 generative AI gaining the knowledge and 1:51:43 inspiration to mindfully create 1:51:47 surprising ourselves and powerfully 1:51:48 meeting challenges unleashing us to 1:51:51 generously lead others enriching lives 1:51:54 redefining what's possible and unlocking 1:51:57 a new era of human 1:51:59 achievement the tools right now are 1:52:02 evolving so fast and there's so many of 1:52:06 them 1:52:09 that I think most courses are a waste of 1:52:12 time because by the time a course has 1:52:14 been written and taught the underlying 1:52:17 technology is out of date like what 1:52:20 you're being taught is out of date so 1:52:22 this idea is just start playing start 1:52:25 exploring um Let 1:52:29 Yourself Go to areas where you otherwise 1:52:33 wouldn't have gone like maybe you're a 1:52:34 project manager and your initial 1:52:36 instinct is well I got to learn to do 1:52:38 project management with AI well no Maybe 1:52:40 not maybe you need to learn to write a 1:52:42 song why cuz writing songs is fun and 1:52:46 maybe you're a frustrated musician and 1:52:48 you were never good at the violin cuz 1:52:49 you had a shitty teacher and your 1:52:51 parents told you you had to play the 1:52:53 violin and you're like I just want to 1:52:54 play the guitar man no you're going to 1:52:56 play the violin and so you're like [ __ ] 1:52:58 it I'm going to play nothing and you 1:53:00 went you got degree in accounting and 1:53:02 now you're an accountant but deep down 1:53:05 deep down you're a [ __ ] rock 1:53:09 star play first by approaching AI from a 1:53:13 place of play allows you to discover the 1:53:17 joy of 1:53:21 AI what this channels about what the AI 1:53:24 salons about is the joy of 1:53:30 AI the AI Salon was my starting point 1:53:32 thank you that's very cool very cool 1:53:34 Rachel yeah 1:53:36 beautiful the seventh step is admitting 1:53:39 you have a problem exactly exactly we're 1:53:42 only a three-step group at this 1:53:44 point hi my name is Kyle I like AI ha 1:53:56 so yeah don't don't sign up for any 1:53:58 expert courses for 495 bucks listen I I 1:54:02 mean everyone's trying to figure out how 1:54:04 to make money right now if someone's put 1:54:06 together something and you like them and 1:54:07 you trust them and they've put together 1:54:09 a course and you're like hey I'm I'm 1:54:11 willing to you know pay some money to go 1:54:12 learn it that's fine lower your 1:54:15 expectations that you're going to learn 1:54:18 anything 1:54:20 um beyond what you could learn on your 1:54:22 own with some 1:54:23 curiosity so anyway that's what the AI 1:54:25 salon's about the the uh the thing that 1:54:28 we did with the AI Salon you probably 1:54:30 can't see it here let me see if I can 1:54:31 make this a little bigger yeah there you 1:54:33 go is we put together a little 1:54:36 onboarding um get started series of 1:54:39 steps so when you come in here you read 1:54:41 about the salon you you introduce 1:54:44 yourself so the first thing you do after 1:54:46 reading about the salon if you're like 1:54:47 yeah I want to join you join and then 1:54:49 you go to this Channel introduce 1:54:51 yourself and then you learn about our 1:54:53 values and what what's expected in the 1:54:56 community curiosity and playfulness and 1:55:02 empathy 1:55:04 bravery like be brave enough to 1:55:06 introduce yourself and then 1:55:08 generosity so learn our values and then 1:55:11 you can watch past 1:55:12 meetings then you can RSB VP for the 1:55:15 next event which by the way if if any of 1:55:18 you tried to RSVP for the next events 1:55:21 and you couldn't find them that's 1:55:23 because we inadvertently deleted the 1:55:25 event page but it's been fixed we fixed 1:55:29 it but so now we've got 1:55:35 um we've got two different kinds of 1:55:38 meetings first Tuesdays we do AI Salon 1:55:41 presents which is where we have speakers 1:55:43 and then this coming Tuesday 1:55:46 tomorrow is an AI Salon meet and 1:55:50 greet where you get to meet people of 1:55:53 the community so if you're new here 1:55:55 introduce yourself here and then come to 1:55:57 the meet and greet tomorrow and you'll 1:55:58 get to meet people all 1:56:01 right and then RSB VP for the next event 1:56:04 and then jump into the water cooler chat 1:56:06 and chat away all right that's how to 1:56:09 get started and then there's all sorts 1:56:11 of other [ __ ] there's other channels 1:56:13 there's guilds there's showand tell 1:56:14 areas it's we've the this channel down 1:56:18 here under Community clubs we have the 1:56:20 ai ai l Irregulars Club this is also 1:56:24 where AI life hacks Club is so Brandon 1:56:27 and Dr J run 1:56:29 that all 1:56:32 right so that's 1:56:35 that ah 1:56:39 fantastic but I will fight till the end 1:56:41 to use it for good and change the world 1:56:43 that's so Cosmic lover that's why I do 1:56:45 this channel right 1:56:49 that what I know from my past experience 1:56:52 is is 1:56:54 that very early in a 1:56:57 transformative era if you're at the 1:57:00 beginning of 1:57:01 it small little things that you do have 1:57:04 a 1:57:07 disproportionately larger impact than 1:57:09 what you do in the 1:57:11 moment so if in this channel if what we 1:57:14 can do is get 10 more 1:57:17 people to go from being AI cynical or AI 1:57:21 resigned that it's just awful or it's 1:57:23 evil or I'm never going to try it to try 1:57:26 it and find that joy and change 1:57:30 themselves even a little 1:57:31 bit imagine the impact of that 3 years 1:57:35 down the line 5 years down the line how 1:57:37 many people are each of you going to 1:57:41 impact because you were willing to come 1:57:43 and hang out in here and be in this 1:57:46 conversation and not be afraid when when 1:57:49 you were out and someone said I don't 1:57:51 know about this AI stuff rather than 1:57:52 going oh I don't want to get in that 1:57:54 conversation you're like well can what 1:57:57 are you afraid of you have that empathy 1:57:59 you have bravery you're willing to have 1:58:00 the conversation hey you want to see 1:58:02 something cool oh I didn't know it could 1:58:05 do 1:58:08 that like lives are going to get changed 1:58:10 and then if we do that enough if enough 1:58:12 lives get changed you actually bend the 1:58:16 ark slightly toward the positive which 1:58:19 over time is dramatic 1:58:24 that's what this Channel's about that's 1:58:25 what the AI salon's about that's what 1:58:28 every one of you that hangs out here the 1:58:30 Irregulars we're not weird we're 1:58:33 irregular 1:58:35 yeah that's what you're all 1:58:37 about willing to be in the conversation 1:58:40 willing to lead the conversation 1:58:42 generously leading when new people come 1:58:44 into the AI 1:58:47 Salon hopefully if we've done our jobs 1:58:50 right it doesn't feel like a clicky High 1:58:52 School [ __ ] oh those are the cool 1:58:54 kids hopefully it feels like wow that 1:58:57 was less shitty than I thought it would 1:59:01 be there's some really generous people 1:59:04 in there they really got their [ __ ] 1:59:05 going on I want I want more of 1:59:08 that that's what that's about all 1:59:15 right I'm 1:59:17 winded that was a lot of bloviating 1:59:23 come to the AI learning lab while I will 1:59:25 bloviate about artificial intelligence 1:59:28 for hours on end you too can enjoy the 1:59:32 dlsd tones of one champ Shannon 1:59:35 oh and and the masterful 1:59:42 intellectual smarty 1:59:44 brains of Professor 1:59:51 Shannon I got smarty 1:59:55 brains AI learning lab will be delayed 1:59:58 tomorrow likely so cuz we've got the uh 2:00:00 got the salon so I got to come home and 2:00:02 eat dinner and you know Chill from a day 2:00:04 of 2:00:05 work all 2:00:07 right um I'm getting out of here so if 2:00:10 you want to support the Channel Please 2:00:12 Subscribe I'm at 27 out of 50 2:00:14 subscriptions I'm I'm light on 2:00:17 subscriptions 2:00:19 um so if you want to if you want to 2:00:21 support the channel directly you can 2:00:23 subscribe um but the most important 2:00:26 thing to do is just keep coming back 2:00:28 thank you very much Silver Fox that's 2:00:29 very generous I appreciate that um just 2:00:32 keep coming back becom an a regular how 2:00:35 do you become an irregular is there a 2:00:38 form 2:00:40 nope you just come you just show up well 2:00:45 that's weird why would I show up I 2:00:49 exactly they're not weird they're 2:00:50 irregular they just show 2:00:53 up the reason you show up is not for me 2:00:57 is not to watch me cuz what I do here is 2:01:03 of 2:01:05 questionable content I'm not 2:01:08 qualified um you come here to be in the 2:01:11 conversation come here to to say oh yeah 2:01:14 okay oh yeah that Mr strawberry guy 2:01:16 they're talking about something oh yeah 2:01:18 okay uhuh you're like even if you're not 2:01:20 actively learning you're filing stuff 2:01:22 you're taking stuff in background noise 2:01:24 you're falling asleep holding your phone 2:01:26 dropping the phone on your face perfect 2:01:28 fine 2:01:29 whatever at some point something will 2:01:32 resonate or someone in the chat will say 2:01:34 something you'll you'll make a 2:01:36 connection oh [ __ ] oh that's how I could 2:01:39 use this stuff and you'll be off to the 2:01:41 races and you'll go do some mindful 2:01:44 creation thing and you'll tell people 2:01:46 about it and it'll change the 2:01:47 world so am I one now I think you are 2:01:50 art I I mean here's the deal if you show 2:01:52 up here and you participate and you ask 2:01:55 good questions and you're like hey how 2:01:57 did you make that video yes you yes 2:02:00 that's the whole point the whole point 2:02:02 of the channel be in the conversation 2:02:05 don't be like this right this is how 2:02:09 most people are with AI right now well 2:02:11 there's there's this and then there's 2:02:15 like oh what's Chad Chad GTP what's chat 2:02:19 GTP 2:02:26 most people are like that don't be like 2:02:28 that just show up here be relaxed be 2:02:31 open have a good time ask questions try 2:02:34 to figure this [ __ ] out if you figure 2:02:36 something out tell people about 2:02:39 it hey I figured out that this thing 2:02:42 sucks okay now we know hey I figured out 2:02:45 this thing's awesome great now we know 2:02:48 hey I thought this thing sucked but then 2:02:50 I learned how to prompt and now it's my 2:02:52 favorite thing cool how did you do 2:02:56 that that's what this is 2:03:01 about even your bow movements will now 2:03:03 be irregular yes we are a we are we are 2:03:07 all inclusive all of the definitions of 2:03:09 irregular are embraced within this 2:03:12 [Laughter] 2:03:15 community oh good lord people let the 2:03:19 incontinence begin 2:03:22 let the dookie Hit the Floor let the 2:03:25 dookie Hit the 2:03:30 Floor all 2:03:34 right it's never felt so good to be IR 2:03:36 regular yeah really 2:03:41 right what I can tell you is 2:03:47 that I guess cuz I'm in the middle of it 2:03:52 I thought anyone who was doing anything 2:03:54 with AI was kind of like we are in 2:03:58 here there's a unique Vibe going on in 2:04:01 this Channel and going on in the AI 2:04:03 Salon there's an optimism and a joy for 2:04:08 AI that I don't see in the world even 2:04:10 even people that are educated about AI 2:04:13 they they they tend to live in a very 2:04:15 just I I don't know it's not a joyful 2:04:17 place it's very tactical and very 2:04:20 technical um there there's a joy in here 2:04:23 that that 2:04:25 is 2:04:28 listen we get 2:04:32 to we are lucky enough to be alive on 2:04:36 this planet at a time where we get 2:04:41 to interact with tools that have somehow 2:04:46 synthesized the collective knowledge of 2:04:50 humanity into a thing that we can just 2:04:52 play 2:04:54 with and it just gives up Humanity's 2:05:01 secrets in an 2:05:05 instant why would you not be [ __ ] 2:05:08 like over the moon joyful about that 2:05:11 well it's really scary okay and oh the 2:05:15 robots might kill us okay let's try to 2:05:18 make him not do that 2:05:22 it's plagiarism it's not but okay so 2:05:25 yeah it's been trained on a bunch of 2:05:27 [ __ ] have you ever been to a library you 2:05:29 know there's a bunch of copywritten 2:05:31 books in there 2:05:32 right and you can just read them for 2:05:35 free you know that 2:05:37 right library books books 2:05:41 paper the with the spine and The Dewy 2:05:45 Decimal System the cart 2:05:50 no imagine if you took all all of the 2:05:52 world's libraries and you somehow 2:05:55 [ __ ] smash them into this gold 2:05:59 button that when you ask it something 2:06:01 you can make money it just gives you the 2:06:06 answer we're in that 2:06:13 reality deer no 2:06:16 one why are people not more excited 2:06:18 about this 2:06:22 so anyway 2:06:24 yeah these are the good times this is 2:06:27 the this is the time to be cuz here's 2:06:30 the thing this will calcify and it'll 2:06:31 get boring just like the web got boring 2:06:34 just like social media got boring and 2:06:36 corporate and all that 2:06:38 [ __ ] we're in the 2:06:41 explosive primordial soup of generative 2:06:43 AI right now we never get to experience 2:06:46 this ever again why I do this every 2:06:49 night we never get to experience this 2:06:52 particular moment in history ever 2:06:55 again we'll look back at this time 2:06:58 embrace the Jank we'll say remember when 2:07:00 the images used to have all those crazy 2:07:03 fingers have you noticed that you don't 2:07:05 see those 2:07:07 anymore the models have gotten 2:07:10 better we don't see this anymore people 2:07:13 think they still do this but they 2:07:18 don't thank you Kyle for doing this all 2:07:21 for free 2:07:24 you will be in the history of AI for 2:07:25 sure a thank you very much that's very 2:07:28 sweet Cosmic 2:07:32 lover um 2:07:36 yeah it's the little 2:07:40 things just being aware using your 2:07:44 thinky brain using your critical 2:07:46 thinking 2:07:48 brain words Kyle what are words exactly 2:07:56 just be in the 2:07:59 conversation we're all very very lucky 2:08:02 to be in this 2:08:03 conversation very lucky 2:08:06 like you know that thing about you're 2:08:09 lucky to be alive like you're lucky to 2:08:11 be a human it's like a one in 70 2:08:14 trillion chance that you even 2:08:18 exist it is so rare think about 2:08:23 about what it must have been 2:08:26 like when the printing press was 2:08:34 invented or when the steam engine was 2:08:38 invented or when the airplane was 2:08:43 invented that's where we are right now 2:08:53 you're like well I don't know anything 2:08:54 and I'm not very 2:08:56 technical so neither am 2:08:59 I cat 2:09:01 GPT gave us the gift that you don't have 2:09:03 to be a [ __ ] engineer to use AI you 2:09:07 can 2:09:08 be you don't have to 2:09:14 be well I'm not very technical that's 2:09:18 okay the machines are just going to do 2:09:20 the [ __ ] for you 2:09:22 can you ask for what you want I suppose 2:09:25 I could well how do I do that well how 2:09:28 do you ask for a 2:09:29 cheeseburger uh could I get a 2:09:31 cheeseburger 2:09:37 okay I can't leave I can't leave I'm on 2:09:40 a I'm on a roll that's why I got butter 2:09:42 on my 2:09:43 pants uh uh uh let's go to chat J pay 2:09:52 can I get a picture of a 2:09:57 burger 2:10:07 now Rick Olsson just sent a gift thank 2:10:09 you very much appreciate it 2:10:17 there the word abracadabra 2:10:22 the translates roughly 2:10:26 into I speak therefore I 2:10:30 create we are in a world right now where 2:10:32 you can speak a burger into 2:10:36 existence it's a pretty good looking 2:10:38 [ __ ] 2:10:45 Burger maybe tonight's just a little 2:10:47 little reminder of the [ __ ] miracle 2:10:50 we're in the middle of 2:10:52 it's not magic it's it's very technical 2:10:56 it's a lot of math and 2:10:59 yet when you experience it it's [ __ ] 2:11:03 Magic The Experience is magical if you 2:11:06 let it be all right I got to 2:11:09 go I gotta go I'm leaving I I don't know 2:11:12 what you people expect of me you make 2:11:18 money okay thank you Irregulars thank 2:11:20 you mods good tonight good modding 2:11:22 tonight appreciate it way to keep 2:11:26 me I can't even imagine what it must be 2:11:29 like modding 2:11:30 me I I can barely take 2:11:33 [Laughter] 2:11:40 me 2:11:42 okay oh Romper Room magic mirror magic 2:11:45 the meet and greet come 2:14:30 meet people in this community introduce 2:14:33 yourself so what you do is you introduce 2:14:36 yourself you talk about um what you're 2:14:40 doing in AI even if it's like I'm just 2:14:43 learning I'm kind of scared are you 2:14:45 people going to bite no we 2:14:48 don't and then you say what can you 2:14:51 offer the 2:14:52 community and then you say what do I 2:14:55 need from the 2:14:58 community it's a really amazing 2:15:04 meeting all 2:15:07 right we just 2:15:09 nibble not hard no it's 2:15:11 easy what's hard is like being human and 2:15:14 being vulnerable and like I don't want 2:15:16 to introduce myself to a bunch of people 2:15:17 that all know each other and they're all 2:15:19 smarter than me 2:15:22 mm there are no experts right 2:15:25 now when there are experts I'll tell you 2:15:28 I'll tell you which courses to take I'll 2:15:29 tell you who the good experts are right 2:15:31 now there are none everyone's trying to 2:15:33 figure it out even the people taking 2:15:36 courses a lot of the people in this 2:15:38 group teach courses one of the 2:15:40 conversations they have a lot is like uh 2:15:42 I don't really know what to teach cuz uh 2:15:44 this shit's moving too fast so it's just 2:15:47 just part of the deal that's part of 2:15:49 being early all right all right I'm out 2:15:51 of here 2:15:52 peace have a good night see you tomorrow
