Description

On October 17, 2023 I hosted a live session on TikTok where I demonstrated multiple new AI capabilities now available in ChatGPT through its $20/month subscription offering. The 90-minute jam-packed session covered Vision, natural language browsing, data analysis, dall-e image generation, and more. I was blown away by how these new features allow anyone to tap into previously unaccessible superpowers. The pace of advancement in AI continues to accelerate faster than most people realize. If you want to understand the art of the possible with AI today, this session is a must-watch. #ai #chatgpt #conversationalai 00:25 - Trying out DALL-E 3 Image Generation 00:58 - New AI advancements with emotional reactions 07:34 - Leveraging ChatGPT prompts for expert personas 15:12 - Kids table AI tools for beginners 29:25 - Crafting prompts and the future of prompt engineering 43:50 - Analyzing data sets with Advanced Data Analysis 50:25 - Google's new Style Drop paper showing image generation 1:13:20 - Turning ChatGPT text into voice and video 1:24:02 - Using AI to make personalized books for kids 1:38:43 - Impact of AI on the writer's strike 1:51:52 - Interpreting dreams with the help of AI 01:54:25 - Using ChatGPT to analyze dreams 02:13:20 - Turning text into video with Anthropic's Claude and D-ID 02:21:27 - Google's new Gemini model to compete with ChatGPT 02:31:16 - OpenAI potentially achieving artificial general intelligence 2:37:58 - Recommended AI tools to follow and experiment with

0:59 hey everybody what's
1:02 happening I was just it looks like
1:03 Sherry D got kicked out of dolly or Bing
1:06 or
1:09 something these [ __ ] temperamental
1:11 robots with their with their sensitive
1:14 feelings like are we seriously in a
1:16 place where even the the robots are
1:18 triggered is that what's happening
1:20 you're early I am I'm I'm uh I'm
1:22 actually right on
1:26 time I saw that cuz she yelled at them
1:29 well that was like when I told I told
1:30 Bing that her images she made were
1:32 shitty she she was
1:34 like I'm sorry if I disappointed you
1:40 goodbye oh man welcome
1:43 everybody all
1:45 right pile of Irregulars in here Silver
1:48 Fox what's happening Dr J it's
1:55 Claire oh Claire from Discord Dr J got
1:59 it
2:01 cool you're you're killing it look what
2:04 Claire's doing on
2:10 um
2:12 cool mid Journey work just like slaying
2:16 it using blend
2:18 modes so I guess you've been working
2:21 with Leah in the in the Art Guild right
2:23 so cool so cool what you're what you're
2:26 doing I don't know I'm impressed I'm
2:28 digging it I
2:30 idea
2:32 of sort of group
2:36 participation AI generation as
2:39 entertainment there's something about
2:40 this that's really fun really
2:42 interesting and as as more people are
2:44 doing it I'm also if if anyone so let's
2:47 let's get started here and I'll talk
2:48 about some stuff but um yeah so I've
2:52 having a lot of fun in here the past few
2:54 nights as as like images are all over
2:56 the place this is one of the fun ones
2:58 that who did this one
3:05 one I'm putting all these images up that
3:07 I didn't make it's like at some point
3:09 someone's going to go you know stop
3:11 being a jerk and stealing my artwork
3:13 man you big fat dum
3:17 dum where is Show and Tell There It
3:21 Is This
3:28 was oh the Internet is slow tonight am I
3:32 all janky am I am I all
3:36 Frozen or am I good hey Nancy what's
3:40 happening
3:44 welcome Silver Fox shared with more than
3:46 five friends willing to be called a
3:48 weirdo I like it it's a solid
3:57 move trying to find this image who made
4:00 this image here it is private pepper
4:04 pepper pepper made that image Isn't that
4:06 cool all right how do we add a node to
4:09 AVL tree uh I don't know that's beyond
4:12 my my pay grade I am not um super
4:14 technical although if you join the AI
4:17 Salon which I'll talk about in a second
4:20 there's a um Guild within the AI Salon
4:23 called AI mechanics where they're
4:26 talking about that geeky stuff so you
4:28 can go in there and and do it I only
4:31 paused once okay
4:33 absolutely everyone Irregulars and Milds
4:36 present
4:39 to thank you Clint
4:42 Copperhead I still want to call you
4:44 Clint Copperfield you want to be M
4:46 magician
4:59 mugician
5:01 chat GPT gives step-by-step instructions
5:04 to transition a community from Discord
5:06 to Mighty oh that's cool Ted looks at
5:08 life all right awesome awesome yeah so
5:12 so right now the AI Salon is on
5:16 Discord and we had a guild leaders
5:19 meeting today and um one of the guild
5:21 leaders Bradley the guy that's head of
5:23 the entrepreneur Guild said um check out
5:27 Mighty networks and showed us what he'd
5:29 set up pretty quick like in a day and it
5:32 looks like it does a lot of the stuff
5:34 that
5:36 uh uh that that Discord sucks at so it's
5:41 pretty exciting Franco uh panista can
5:44 you write code in Python can I
5:46 personally or can I do it with Chad j
5:49 because with Chad j you
5:52 can uh in fact my first my first real
5:56 Epiphany with chat GPT was I wrote a um
6:00 like in 90 minutes never having having
6:02 written a line of python I wrote a
6:04 python application uh complete with
6:07 calls to open AI I made a social media
6:10 maker machine I called it why are all
6:13 the llamas left why are the llamas left
6:15 out uh left out of what my the stuff
6:19 that I talk about speaking of Jank
6:22 here's a website called civit
6:24 AI that hosts all the custom models for
6:27 stable diffusion and it's always broken
6:29 so I made them this home of a
6:32 Jank Herod that's [ __ ]
6:40 great we're we're uh we're
6:42 single-handedly on the AI learning lab
6:44 we're single-handedly bringing janky
6:46 back into the ver
6:48 vernacular J gbt it's janky but it's
6:53 good civid AI home of the
6:58 Jank janky you betch you you can make
7:01 money
7:04 with all right everyone uh welcome so do
7:07 me a favor share the live if you're
7:08 willing tap the screen uh follow the
7:10 channel if you want to to get uh AI
7:14 content um I'm going to walk you through
7:16 how to get started with all this stuff
7:18 here shortly and uh my name is Kyle
7:21 Shannon I'm an entrepreneur and a the AI
7:24 llama lab llamas is tasty by the way you
7:29 can't tell
7:30 uh Dolly 3 that wait what did
7:35 I what did I do oh I was in
7:39 gp4 and said llamas is tasty and I
7:42 wanted to make an image of tasty llamas
7:45 and it didn't like that it say some
7:47 people think of llamas as pets and if
7:49 you call them tasty then that seems like
7:51 it's violence against pets and we don't
7:53 condone that um
7:57 anyway uh we also nicknamed this Channel
8:00 well I didn't the Irregulars did uh chat
8:03 add uh because of my
8:09 condition don't we all have a [ __ ]
8:11 Condition it's just a
8:14 condition
8:15 um but but anyway yeah I'm an
8:18 entrepreneur I'm the founder and CEO of
8:20 a company called storyvine which is an
8:21 automated video storytelling platform
8:24 which is 11 and 1/2 years old and does
8:26 not use it does not primarily use AI to
8:28 do what it does
8:30 um we figured out how to do it the
8:32 oldfashioned way with XML thank you
8:35 thank you very much uh XML and FFM
8:39 Peg um champ what are you growling
8:45 at I'll be
8:47 back what what what what what what are
8:52 you doing what are you doing who's out
8:54 there who's out there there's no one out
8:58 there you doing
9:08 weirdo [ __ ] weird
9:10 dog oh my God I love this
9:14 graphic sh AI home of the
9:19 Jank so good U what was I saying uh
9:23 entrepreneur Story vine making [ __ ] with
9:26 XML yeah
9:28 that um
9:30 and I've been uh I've been a Founder for
9:34 many many years many companies and uh I
9:37 was a founder of agency.com back in the
9:39 mid90s um which is one of the first
9:41 digital agencies so I was there for the
9:43 early days of the worldwide web and the
9:46 parallels that I'm seeing with this here
9:49 AI stuff are
9:51 insane it's crazy it's crazy crazy crazy
9:55 share a day how howy violence violence
9:58 against burgers
10:01 exactly you know burgers were cows once
10:04 too I feel
10:07 triggered they did studies that showed
10:09 the potatoes have emotions are you going
10:12 to eat those
10:13 fries could I have
10:18 some all right so here's what we'll do
10:21 got a few folks in here
10:24 welcome um if you are new to this
10:26 generative AI stuff you if you were
10:28 scrolling along and you were like uh uh
10:32 is that Tom Arnold or Rosie O'Donnell
10:34 who is that uh and you just stumbled in
10:37 here and you're like oh God this is
10:38 about AI I got to learn [ __ ] I'm not
10:41 technical I hate this who are you what
10:44 are your qualifications if you're
10:46 anywhere in that neighborhood
10:48 welcome you don't need to be technical
10:50 with this stuff you can be the the uh
10:53 the the popular press would make it seem
10:56 that you have to be a full-on [ __ ]
10:58 rocket scientist now listen if you want
11:01 to actually make AI then yeah be a
11:05 [ __ ] rocket scientist you know go
11:08 work on tpus at Google like Pate who's
11:10 in here a lot um but if you just want to
11:14 use these tools that's what this channel
11:15 is about right so so the inflection
11:18 point that started on November 30th
11:20 2022 which is the launch of chat GPT for
11:24 me that marks the the the moment when
11:29 the
11:30 AI industry kind of begins or or kind of
11:32 splits right where prior to that moment
11:34 you just had to be you know a scientist
11:37 an engineer a a programmer a
11:41 mathematician after that moment you can
11:43 be anyone right people are using chat
11:47 GPT to write books for their kids
11:49 personalized books for their kids
11:51 they're using it to do project plans for
11:52 their business right so if you're if
11:55 you're in this camp and you've never
11:57 played with this stuff what I want you
11:59 to
12:05 [Music]
12:08 do is I want you to go right
12:12 there chat. open.com go there right now
12:16 go there go there go there go there go
12:20 there go go go go there all right and
12:25 just start playing but Kyle what do I
12:27 do type something into the box it
12:31 doesn't matter what ask it to do
12:34 something for you say um I have a I have
12:37 a stinky dog named Larry and I want you
12:39 to write a country song for Larry and it
12:41 will it'll like bang knock it out or or
12:45 you know whatever I was taking uh I was
12:48 talking to my 5-year-old daughter about
12:49 AI today also about Dolly 3 oh that's
12:52 really interesting Brandon
12:54 jet yeah boy can you imagine I mean you
12:57 know it's amazing um you know know I
12:59 grew up I grew up in in a generation
13:03 that lived a good chunk of my life
13:06 without the internet and then a good
13:07 chunk of my life with it and it always
13:09 blew my mind that there were kids that
13:10 grew up where it was always there it was
13:13 always on and you know anyone that's
13:16 kind of five or under you know right now
13:20 is going to grow up their entire life
13:22 with generative Ai and whatever the hell
13:24 it becomes right it's just going to get
13:26 more and more and more you know fast and
13:29 fluid and
13:31 magical
13:32 um we're we're going to be those old
13:35 people going and in my day you actually
13:37 had to launch this thing called
13:38 Photoshop and you had to had to push
13:41 pixels around the screen you did it with
13:44 a shovel and a and a rake and a and if
13:47 you if you were well off and really knew
13:49 how to use Photoshop you could use a
13:50 Toro lawn tractor to to to mow those
13:53 pixels
13:55 down oh what's a what's a lawn tractor
13:58 uh right we don't have Lawns anymore
14:02 anyway we're going to be those people in
14:05 my
14:08 day oh man okay so I'll go through so
14:14 get ready to do some screenshotting so
14:16 if if you're new to the channel here I'm
14:18 going to I'm going to walk through four
14:19 or five slides that I'm not going to
14:20 explain a bunch of stuff because there's
14:22 so much stuff what I'm about to show you
14:24 these are all sites and AI tools that I
14:28 think are worth you spending time on
14:31 right now if you want to learn this AI
14:33 stuff if you want to get curious about
14:34 it so this is the adults tables these
14:37 are the big four chat jbt Bard Claude
14:40 and Bing the the notable thing I'll talk
14:42 about here is Claude you can put really
14:44 long posts in right you can take a whole
14:47 50,000-word novel and either paste it
14:50 into Claude or upload it to Claude and
14:52 then start interacting with that novel
14:54 it'll read the whole novel and you could
14:56 write a synopsis or you could write a I
14:58 don't know the first scene of a
15:00 screenplay adaptation for it or have it
15:02 do some copy editing doesn't matter it's
15:05 really good for that okay the kids
15:09 table is pi um labs. perplexity which is
15:13 meta llama 2 models someone earlier said
15:15 why you know why are you ignoring llama
15:18 I don't know why that was said but
15:21 that's llama right there and then pose
15:23 good for image
15:25 generation you got Dolly 3 which is
15:28 amazing I'll probably demo that some
15:30 tonight you got mid journey I also might
15:33 demo just to show the difference between
15:36 having to work in Discord and
15:38 not um ideogram cool interesting can do
15:41 text on the images uh Firefly from Adobe
15:46 is safe for corporate work and getting
15:48 better and better all the time they just
15:51 added um generative drawing inside Adobe
15:55 Illustrator which is it's pretty solid
15:58 it's well no it's not pretty solid it's
16:00 janky it's janky like all the tools it's
16:03 janky but you can describe an icon and
16:06 it'll make an icon right an illustrator
16:09 um which is which is pretty amazing um
16:11 these are your video tools essentially
16:14 or voice translation tools so Runway ml
16:18 will do um uh text to video image to
16:23 video there's there's another one I
16:25 think I might swap out runway for for uh
16:28 p ABS uh which one does your taxes there
16:32 are probably some that do your taxes you
16:35 could probably also use code interpreter
16:37 inside chat
16:38 GPT um to read tax documents and do
16:43 analysis on them but I don't I don't
16:45 know let me let me show you one other
16:47 thing that might be good for you to go
16:50 find something go to futurepedia doio I
16:53 went there today they there's more than
16:54 5,000 AI tools there I would look up
16:57 Financial tools there's probably
16:59 something that does your taxes in there
17:01 is my guess
17:04 um with the tax stuff I would still
17:07 double or triple check it with an
17:09 accountant if you're relying on AI
17:11 because the AI stuff's just so uh so
17:14 unreliable right now it's all janky um
17:17 so that's that and then these three guys
17:19 Ethan mik David Shapiro and Paul rater
17:22 are people I strongly suggest you should
17:24 follow Ethan molik Wharton business
17:26 school Professor brilliant post sunl LED
17:29 in all the time post on Twitter all the
17:30 time has that blog um David Shapiro mad
17:34 genius fourth Industrial Revolution AGI
17:38 open- Source dude will will make you
17:41 feel intellectually
17:45 puny and then Paul rer nice guy been at
17:49 this generative AI stuff around
17:50 marketing for like five years now which
17:53 is astounding cuz I've only been aware
17:55 of it for like 3 years and he started
17:57 the marketing AI Institute 5 years ago
17:59 so the dude is on top of it um and just
18:03 really thoughtfully it does a weekly uh
18:05 podcast that I listen to every week one
18:07 of the things people um often ask me is
18:10 but Kyle how do you keep up with this
18:12 stuff I just told you go to the Twitter
18:15 follow cool people find these people
18:18 follow them and then follow who they
18:20 follow that's a good trick for making
18:22 your Twitter suck
18:24 less um and then the AI Salon um go
18:28 there and and uh there's a Meetup we
18:30 meet every other Tuesday so next Tuesday
18:33 is our next meeting week from tonight
18:35 and there's a Discord the link for the
18:37 Discord there I think is broken there's
18:39 also a link to the Discord in this
18:41 Channel's link tree so if you want to
18:43 join the salon or go check it out go
18:45 there and yeah that's about that so the
18:48 way this works here in AI learning lab
18:50 is uh you just post in your comments you
18:54 just post comments in like hey Kyle tell
18:56 me about that AI thing or what do you
18:58 think think about this or so and so made
19:00 something with AI now somebody's suing
19:02 them what do you think about that Kyle
19:04 hey Kyle Kyle Kyle so just ask me [ __ ]
19:07 and then I'll try to answer it and do
19:09 you always make those annoying voices
19:14 yep so you're an idiot yeah mhm exactly
19:20 well what are your
19:22 qualifications interesting question very
19:25 interesting question let's see I've got
19:28 graphic for
19:34 that sir I demand to know what are your
19:40 qualifications well my qualifications
19:42 for what I would
19:43 ask well you're running a Tik Tock
19:47 Channel called the AI learning lab and
19:49 you seem rather elderly what are your
19:52 qualifications for Tik Tok oh I have
19:55 none okay fine but uh you know
19:58 artificial intelligence and machine
20:00 learning uh algorithms then nope don't
20:03 know them either okay rather uh carrying
20:07 on uh what do you do here who are why
20:10 are you
20:12 here marketing Institute podcast is
20:15 excellent yeah it's really good it's
20:17 just really down to earth I mean the
20:19 thing about the marketing AI Institute
20:22 podcast Mike kaput and Paul rater are
20:26 the hosts on it um
20:29 is they're just very down toe right like
20:32 that's part of what I try to do here is
20:34 I mean here I do down toe and funny
20:36 hopefully I attempt to be funny um um
20:40 but those those guys are just like like
20:42 here's the three big things that
20:43 happened this week and then Paul kind of
20:45 does commentary on him and Mike kind of
20:46 prods him and it it's just good
20:49 thoughtful stuff and and you know he's
20:52 quite aware that you know these tools
20:56 are not great um but they're as bad as
21:00 they're ever going to be and um he's
21:03 very aware that most people in business
21:05 right now are willfully ignoring this
21:09 [ __ ] um especially in Senior
21:11 Management
21:13 and I don't know it's just good it's
21:15 good best AI tools for film making um I
21:19 don't know a ton Pika
21:22 Pik Runway ml are the two biggies right
21:26 now um there's a there's one I'm doing a
21:30 a workshop tomorrow night on Advanced AI
21:32 stuff there's one called Wonder is it
21:34 Wonder Dynamics I think it's Wonder
21:38 Dynamics wonder
21:41 wonder
21:43 Dynamics is that
21:45 it Wonder
21:48 Dynamics yeah this is
21:55 insane yeah Wonder studio so you go go
21:58 to wonder
22:04 Studio I think I signed up with Google
22:07 here let me see let me see if I
22:21 did
22:27 oops
22:29 so see that weird walking pig this was
22:31 just a piece of video I took in Prague
22:34 when I was over visiting our Tech team
22:36 that was just someone walking toward
22:37 toward the camera and so you put it into
22:40 Wonder Dynamics Wonder studio and it
22:44 replaces human beings like you pick a
22:46 human being in the scene and it'll
22:48 replace it they've got like 20 robots
22:49 you can choose from and it just it does
22:52 like all the rotoscoping or whatever
22:54 whatever the hell they're doing I mean
22:55 they're doing it with AI obviously not
22:57 rotoscoping
22:59 but like there's a little animated
23:04 dude so I only did you know 7 Seconds of
23:07 it but look at
23:08 [Music]
23:12 that all
23:15 [Music]
23:17 right crazy right so that's that so I
23:20 would do I I would look at those two
23:24 um look at 11 labs for The Voice
23:27 synthesis stuff
23:32 um I think the um the film making within
23:37 canva right now the ability to generate
23:40 video canva has incorporated Runway ml
23:44 into canva tools so I think you can with
23:47 your with your canva subscription you
23:50 can do runway ml things without having a
23:52 separate Runway ml
23:54 subscription um so
23:56 anyway any who
23:59 in
24:02 here so what are your
24:05 qualifications we would like to
24:08 know sir sir sir yes what are your
24:16 qualifications um best basic AI for
24:20 Learners happy Aussie girl welcome I
24:23 guess it's afternoon there is it
24:25 afternoon there morning I don't know
24:26 when is it it's probably morning because
24:30 it's like 13 hours right
24:33 um let's go back to my little tools here
24:36 chat GPT is the best one to start with
24:39 Prague is on the dream list I got to
24:41 tell you
24:43 I'm I've I've traveled a fair amount um
24:46 I don't enjoy traveling a lot
24:51 um Prague was [ __ ] amazing like it's
24:56 got you know har har Potter castles like
25:00 castles that that you expect dragons to
25:02 fly out of them actually our Tech team
25:04 is based in um one of those castles the
25:08 the offices are actually in one of the
25:09 churches that's one of those big giant
25:11 crazy ass cathedrals in the in the Town
25:14 Square
25:16 um but it's it's just an amazing like
25:20 the people are super friendly um it's
25:24 it's um you know super welcoming like
25:28 super ancient and super modern at the
25:31 same time which which throws you because
25:34 it's ancient in the way like when you go
25:36 to Disney World and you're like oh this
25:38 is based on some Castle somewhere and
25:40 then in Prague you're like this is
25:43 like like it's like you're in Disney
25:46 World but you're like oh no these are
25:48 the real things like this is where they
25:50 got those ideas it's like wow there it's
25:53 it's an amazing place I loved it I loved
25:55 it I would absolutely go back to Prague
25:58 and in that in fact I think I will I'm
26:00 working on a project right now for one
26:02 of our Pharma clients and I might need
26:04 to go over
26:05 there my Pal's camcorder AI is going to
26:08 be lit for video editing that any
26:10 marketer can do oh that's super cool um
26:13 cuno send me the uh send me the info on
26:15 that I'd love to check it out that
26:17 sounds
26:18 great yeah I think I think when uh when
26:21 video editing can get as simple as you
26:23 know just type it in and I know there's
26:25 a couple of tools where you type it in
26:26 and it goes and picks uh uh whatever you
26:29 call it um stock video for you there's
26:32 some of that stuff right now but um the
26:35 ability to take a bunch of clips and
26:37 automatically assemble them and do the
26:39 editing and it's going to be
26:42 nice especially if it's over it's an
26:44 overlay on top of an existing
26:47 tool all right let's see I've created a
26:50 Discord bot that uses the open AI API to
26:52 allow people to talk chat GPT from
26:55 Discord not sure if that counts
27:04 all right let's see let's let's get to
27:06 the question shall
27:14 we all right welcome
27:19 everyone best AI tool for film making we
27:22 just did tried to SK wait tried to make
27:26 a schedule for a summer camp using GPT
27:28 started with basic rules failed
27:31 quickly
27:33 interesting um I can generally tend to
27:37 get it to do that stuff pretty well I'm
27:39 curious did you how much back and forth
27:41 did you go with it help text
27:45 secrets in D3 I posted my fails and show
27:48 and tell oh good okay
27:52 um where are you where are your
27:55 fails oh yeah oh yeah
27:58 yeah those are fun um
28:02 here this was this was uh Tobias try
28:07 trying to get um do and chat GPT to
28:11 spell right although these are these are
28:13 good these are spell spelling correctly
28:16 and then he also he couldn't put blood
28:18 but he put what you put trans
28:19 transparent paint or translucent paint
28:21 or something like
28:22 that yeah learning lab that's right
28:26 oops
28:34 these These are the
28:36 misspellings it loves AI leaning
28:42 lab AI That's sort of
28:46 right yeah those are
28:49 good AI I learning
28:54 ABS what's that one say learning
28:58 learning
29:00 leing learning
29:05 leing this is like all the all the
29:07 robots in all the movies always make
29:09 those crazy sounds maybe it's because
29:11 they're just trying to pronounce these
29:13 words that they that it
29:16 misspelled I've never felt so qualified
29:18 to be unqualified as I do here that's
29:20 the perfect place to be so Source Camp
29:23 what source Camp's pointing out here is
29:25 that he's realizing or she I I think he
29:29 um not sure doesn't
29:30 matter
29:35 um when you're sitting on the outside of
29:37 this this AI
29:40 [ __ ] and you're looking in and you're
29:41 like it's scary the robots are going to
29:44 kill us right it lies it can't type it
29:46 can't do math um when you're sitting on
29:49 the outside of it it feels like everyone
29:51 else is the expert and then you get
29:52 inside it and you realize oh no one's
29:55 the expert because this stuff is all
29:58 brand
29:59 new nobody has it figured out nobody
30:03 nobody zero zero zero people have this
30:07 figured out um there are people that
30:10 have the how to make these models
30:13 figured out right the scientists and
30:14 Engineers but the how do we actually use
30:16 these tools in our lives and in business
30:19 that's what this channel is all about
30:21 that's what we're all trying to figure
30:22 out so really good best AI for financial
30:25 services I know nothing about that world
30:27 I would go to Future
30:56 pedia.com holes I mean quite frankly you
30:59 could spend the next decade just with
31:02 chat GPT alone with the current model
31:05 with all of its new functions that they
31:07 just added that's an easy decade in one
31:11 tool um I would argue that chat GPT at
31:14 this point is more like seven tools but
31:17 um but it's it's one URL it's one
31:21 domain um yeah it's crazy it's crazy so
31:25 anyway so true nobody has has this
31:27 figured out Blue Wave lady uh 9.5 out of
31:30 10 on the name love the name good name
31:33 um yeah nobody has this figured out
31:35 nobody nobody and and anyone that does
31:37 any of these guys you make
31:40 Mone [ __ ]
31:42 them they're just trying to get your
31:45 money to buy their stupid course on how
31:48 you can make money with chat GPT if they
31:50 were making money with chat GPT they
31:52 wouldn't have a course on how to make
31:54 money with Chachi P do you get it
31:59 it's like all of those getrich quick
32:01 schemes I'll teach you how to be rich
32:04 then why are you selling [ __ ] about how
32:06 to get rich why do you need the money
32:09 [Laughter]
32:16 [ __ ] see I am still a firm believer
32:20 that we can apply logic to the situation
32:22 and things will get better I know that
32:25 the past decade of politics we've gone a
32:27 completely other direction where where
32:30 sanity and logic don't apply I get that
32:34 I get that that's the world we live in
32:35 now I'm still [ __ ]
32:41 clinging it's going to be okay
32:47 people what's the best free chat GPT to
32:50 download well you don't need to download
32:53 it
32:56 um I don't know what you mean to
32:58 download so chat GPT you just go to
33:02 chat. open.com if you're talking about
33:04 on your mobile
33:05 device open aai has an official chat GPT
33:09 app do
33:11 not do not download chat GPT apps that
33:14 are from not from open AI make sure it's
33:17 from open AI there are a ton of Faker
33:20 apps out there they're like your fake
33:22 Nikes these are like the fake chat epts
33:25 they're all charging you money and you
33:27 don't need to do that
33:29 so they've got a free app Bing has a
33:32 free app that's Microsoft Chat GPT which
33:35 also has doll 3 built into
33:37 it um the official chat GPT app the the
33:41 base model 3.5 is free if you want
33:44 access to four and they're extra goodies
33:46 that's 20 bucks a month there's an app
33:49 called Pi
33:52 Pi who got money from Nvidia who got
33:55 funding from Nvidia cover
33:57 Bruno who who you talking about who got
34:02 Invidia do your custom GPT custom
34:06 settings need to be changed to improve
34:08 output I.E I'm a financial analyst I'm a
34:13 librarian let me so let me go I'll go
34:15 walk through that a little bit
34:18 um your custom instructions so so so
34:22 there's two things here one is just
34:25 giving chat GPT cont text in a given
34:29 conversation and then the other one is
34:30 the specific function of custom
34:32 instructions so let me go show you both
34:34 of
34:49 those all right why does he sing such
34:52 weird songs he seems to have ticks does
34:55 he have
34:56 tourettes
35:00 B okay so we're just in normal chat GPT
35:04 I I'll do chat gp4 here
35:08 um all right if I say
35:17 um
35:19 when should I buy a
35:26 stock
35:29 so if you go into chat GPT and you just
35:34 say something like when should I buy a
35:37 stock what's the best way to explain
35:39 this
35:41 um the the way chat GPT was cha trained
35:46 was on as much of the public internet as
35:48 they could find right so if I just say
35:51 when should I buy a
35:53 stock chat GPT is essentially looking at
35:56 all of the play places on
35:58 the on the internet in this training
36:01 data where you know buy a stock um or or
36:05 how should I buy a stock where those
36:07 words you know kind of lived in
36:09 semantically relevant clusters and so
36:12 what that means is there are places on
36:14 the internet where super brilliant
36:16 Financial strategists said here's when
36:18 you should buy a stock and when complete
36:21 [ __ ] idiots said here's when you
36:22 should buy a stock right and it kind of
36:25 amalgamates them all together and it it
36:26 will give you an answer and the thing
36:28 about chat gbt one of my nicknames for
36:31 it is mansplaining is a service because
36:34 it will confidently answer you even if
36:36 it's wrong but because you just said
36:40 when should I buy a stock you're kind of
36:42 looking at all of the internet so you're
36:43 getting good data and crappy data and
36:45 stuff like that so one of the reasons
36:47 that that using a phrase like I'm I'm
36:49 going to do a new chat
36:53 here let's see uh uh uh
36:57 and I'm going to
37:02 say I want you to act as a financial
37:05 analyst from Smith Barney who
37:07 specializes in trading stocks
37:11 period any
37:12 information that I ask you I want you to
37:17 think step by step and make sure that
37:21 you're answering me with your deep
37:23 knowledge of the financial services
37:26 world and particularly the stock market
37:30 trends and anything I should know to
37:34 keep me on the up and up financially
37:40 period when should I buy a
37:49 stock okay so all that crap before when
37:52 should I buy a stock now what that does
37:55 in the in the uh in the vector space in
37:58 the large language model is it is it
38:01 kind of Narrows the focus to look in
38:05 areas in the uh in the data that are
38:08 more closely aligned to your answer so
38:11 just even within a conversation saying
38:15 act as a certain thing is is uh can be
38:18 powerful
38:21 now uh uh uh and that's such a generic
38:24 question actually both of those are pro
38:26 probably right there's probably enough
38:27 information out there on how to buy a
38:29 stock right but but if you as you start
38:31 to get more tactical and Technical um
38:34 doing the act like a Persona does help
38:37 okay now we're going to do this we're
38:40 going to go to
38:42 settings and within
38:44 settings there's this thing called
38:46 custom
38:48 instructions and custom instructions has
38:51 what would you like chat GPT to know
38:52 about you to better provide respon or
38:55 provide better responses and then how
38:56 would would you like chat GPT to respond
38:59 so I'm going to turn this
39:01 on and so what I have in here now is
39:05 You're A pompous ass who uses big words
39:07 even you don't understand and whenever
39:10 anyone talks to you disparage their lack
39:12 of intelligence and use obscure obscure
39:14 literary
39:15 references reference refer and says uh
39:21 as a
39:23 metaphor to your elevated and answer all
39:28 right so I'm going to do a silly one
39:30 here so I'm going to save this
39:32 now now that that's turned on chat GPT
39:36 will only Act Like A pompous
39:39 ass like this is it like chat GPT now is
39:43 just an [ __ ] okay a pompus [ __ ] so
39:45 I'm going to say
39:49 um how should I buy
39:53 stocks uh
39:55 uh
39:57 [Music]
40:07 let's see let's see what our pump us ass
40:09 did investing in stocks requires a
40:11 thoughtful approach much like navigating
40:13 the intricate plots of PRS In Search of
40:17 Lost time to embark on this financial
40:20 Journey one must educate oneself on the
40:22 fundamentals of the stock market
40:24 consider reading books on investing or
40:27 guidance from a financial adviser to
40:28 grasp the nuances of this complex
40:31 terrain once you've acquired the
40:33 knowledge it's time to construct a
40:34 diverse portfolio blah blah blah right
40:37 so we have a pompous
40:40 ass finally maintain a long-term
40:43 perspective akin to the Timeless themes
40:46 explored in Shakespearean
40:50 tragedies um
40:53 so you could obviously go in there and
40:56 give it some very specific um custom
41:02 instructions um about you know being a
41:05 financial analyst and and you know maybe
41:07 what the background is um you could even
41:11 if if you know you want it to act like a
41:13 very specific person you could give it
41:15 you know work experience and then in how
41:17 do you how do you want it to respond you
41:19 could tell it you want it to respond
41:21 with tables and and to explain you know
41:24 always present you know a mathematical
41:27 formula and explain it or something like
41:29 that and then it will just always be
41:32 there the challenge with custom
41:34 instructions is that there's only one in
41:37 in chat GPT
41:39 so I could imagine writing dozens of
41:42 these and having like a library of these
41:44 custom instructions but you you don't
41:46 have the ability to save them within
41:48 chat GPT right now right that gets back
41:50 to all of these tools are juny pieces of
41:52 [ __ ] right now this should absolutely be
41:54 a tool where you can do you know dozens
41:56 of of these things within the tool
41:57 itself but you can't my problem with um
42:02 with custom instructions is in in here
42:04 on my lives I do stupid things like this
42:06 one Be A pompous ass um and then I
42:09 forget to turn them off so so I I'll be
42:12 I'll be in chat GPT going wait why is
42:14 this this is weird why is this talking
42:16 like this I'm like oh because I told it
42:19 to I told it to act like an idiot and it
42:22 is so
42:24 anyway all right let's see that's
42:28 hilarious Ted looks at life behind the
42:31 scenes of the dolly 3 spelling engine oh
42:34 wait you can't see it hang
42:39 on that's [ __ ]
42:42 awesome and and look like one of the
42:44 letters is even like not a complete B
42:47 where is it right there it's like a
42:49 janked out
42:52 D that's
42:55 awesome um wow wow wow a Marcel Prost
42:59 reference I've actually read his
43:04 stuff oh chat GPT dozens of my
43:07 colleagues are likely making bedtime
43:09 stories in chat GPT for their kids
43:10 tonight oh how did it go cuno did you
43:14 blow their [ __ ]
43:15 minds oh that's so cool that's so cool
43:19 so cuno works for big company and had a
43:22 uh a big AI show int like like we're in
43:25 the show int face of AI right now like
43:28 people are like what's it do and you go
43:30 in and you show them stuff and like oh
43:32 my
43:33 God they have Kevin how many Kevin
43:36 mallister moments did you have that's
43:39 awesome that's so
43:44 cool I remember back in the old days
43:47 September when future pedia only had 200
43:50 200 items in it I know I know future
43:53 pedia was just like this it was just
43:55 like this dumb thing and it was like oh
43:57 you know it's making they're they're
43:58 adding a dozen things a week and now
44:00 it's
44:02 5,000 5,000 mostly pieces of [ __ ] but
44:09 whatever welcome everybody this the AI
44:11 learning lab if you have questions or
44:13 comments about AI pop them in the
44:14 comments below I'll do my best to answer
44:16 them I'll demo stuff um it might be fun
44:19 we'll we'll do a little do a little
44:21 round of uh chat add it's a game show
44:24 where you can make money with
44:27 time um I'm just going to pop into um
44:31 chat
44:32 gbt and just like a radio call-in show
44:35 you can make
44:36 requests you know here here's uh here's
44:40 Muskrat Love for Sally and her uh broken
44:46 heart camcorder AI my Pal's company they
44:49 won a grant from Invidia oh cool oh
44:51 that's super cool let me go look at
44:55 it
44:59 cam
45:00 quarter
45:02 AI hey you remember in
45:09 here oh that's a rough name okay here we
45:12 go AI video AI driven video editing for
45:20 marketers modular and versatile grab
45:23 your spot in the beta hell yes I will
45:27 sign up for the beta go to camcorder AI
45:30 people and sign up for it I'm pretty
45:33 sure I just installed malware on my
45:38 computer just click on it you don't need
45:41 to read the terms of service I'm sure
45:43 your bank account will be
45:50 fine Kyle just seems to sign up for
45:52 stuff it doesn't seem very
45:54 responsible they have several imposters
45:57 so not which oh not sure which one is
45:58 theirs that one sounded like uh like
46:01 theirs but I've got the AI L learning
46:04 lab which is an impostor so I understand
46:07 the impostor thing plus I've got
46:09 impostor syndrome who to
46:12 guess all
46:18 right what tools are out there that take
46:21 text from chat GPT and convert it to
46:24 audio or even video all right let's go
46:27 do that let's go do that let's go right
46:30 now
46:33 um new
46:35 chat okay here we are in chat
46:41 J so we're going to start with we we
46:44 want to make a marketing script right we
46:46 want to make a something now let's make
46:48 something less boring than that
46:54 um you are a famous
46:57 Off Broadway playright and you're going
46:59 to help me create a compelling opening
47:04 to my marketing
47:05 message that has a dramatic flare as if
47:09 opening a Tony award-winning
47:12 play do you understand your
47:22 mission oh wait do I still have on
47:30 custom instructions I don't think I do I
47:32 it was too close to my pompus ass guy
47:34 ladies and gentlemen gather around for
47:35 tonight as we embark on
47:37 a
47:41 okay now you're talking more like a
47:43 circus Barker than an Off Broadway
47:46 playright why don't we get a little more
47:48 s
47:50 serious
47:55 like
47:59 Pinter all
48:01 [Laughter]
48:05 right of course let's take a more
48:07 serious pinteresque approach in the
48:09 dimly lit room the silence hangs okay
48:12 this is good so let's see in the dimly
48:15 lit room the silence hangs heavy
48:17 pregnant with anticipation a single
48:19 Spotlight pierces the darkness revealing
48:21 not a grand spectacle but a solitary
48:23 figure standing in the precipice of
48:25 innovation
48:26 all right this is this is actually good
48:28 it's good and annoying right so let's
48:30 just grab we'll grab two paragraphs here
48:33 so so you write whatever you write you
48:34 go to chat GPT you do your master promp
48:37 thing you're like oh my God I got chat
48:39 GPT to give me the biggest thing but now
48:40 I got to turn it into stuff and I don't
48:42 like to talk on camera that's weird
48:45 fine you get over it I'll tell you what
48:48 if you go live on Tik Tok three hours a
48:51 night for four months straight you get
48:52 over it quick the acting degree doesn't
48:55 hurt either so okay so now what we're
48:58 going to do where we going to go we'll
48:59 go to there's a bunch of tools you can
49:01 do this with
49:09 um all right we're going to go to we're
49:13 going to go to two tools here's what
49:15 we're going to do here's what we're
49:17 going to do we're going to go the first
49:18 tool is called 11
49:21 labs and there was an article today
49:23 about the New York city mayor is is
49:26 using 11 labs this technology he's
49:29 taking recordings of himself speaking
49:31 English and using 11 labs to turn
49:34 himself into speaking Spanish and French
49:37 and you know all the different languages
49:40 and putting it in a robocar and they're
49:42 robocalling you know households that
49:44 they know speak certain languages and
49:46 the mayor is calling people up and
49:49 speaking their native language using
49:51 this technology it's amazing Okay
49:55 so I'm gonna do two things here where is
49:58 my
50:00 mouse my screen is a little hang on you
50:02 know what I'm gonna do no Kyle
50:06 what please tell us we're dying to
50:10 understand what obscure little setting
50:12 you're going to change so so so it's
50:14 easier for you to see with your old
50:16 ancient old man eyes I'm going to make
50:19 my pixels bigger so I can find
50:22 my my thank you Brock thank you for for
50:26 for supporting my my aging retinas okay
50:31 so we're in 11 Labs I I've already
50:33 created some models so one of the things
50:35 you can do here is you can do I think
50:37 they call it an instant clone so you can
50:40 you can up upload um audio of yourselft
50:44 talkinging and it basically makes a
50:45 model of your voice so I'll do a couple
50:47 of things here one is I'm going to pick
50:49 something that's not me we'll do a
50:52 classy British mature woman's voice
50:54 reading this
51:01 script in the dimly lit room the silence
51:04 hangs heavy pregnant with anticipation a
51:07 single Spotlight pierces the darkness
51:09 revealing not a grand spectacle but a
51:11 solitary yep fine okay so that's her
51:14 awesome so we're going to download
51:17 that and then we're going to go back and
51:19 I've got two different versions of what
51:22 I did I've got Pixar bright and Pixar
51:25 normal and so um Pixar bright I kind of
51:30 talk like this like I was in a Pixar
51:31 movie and I was talking fast so I had
51:34 this sort of elevated thing and then
51:35 Pixar normal was me just trying to talk
51:37 like this so I'll grab Pixar bright
51:39 since it's a little brighter a little
51:40 different than me just blabbing and so
51:43 we'll generate
51:47 that in the dimly lit room the silence
51:50 hangs heavy pregnant with anticipation a
51:53 single Spotlight pierces the darkness
51:56 revealing not a grand spectacle but a
51:58 solitary figure standing at the so we'll
52:00 go download this so now we got British
52:03 chick and we got sort of
52:06 Kyle sort of sort of younger is Kyle
52:09 that sort of sounds humanish but not
52:11 quite really and then we're going to go
52:13 to a tool called D- ID that previous
52:15 tool was 11 Labs now we're going to go
52:17 to D-
52:19 id.com
52:21 digital
52:24 identity and we're going to log in let's
52:28 log in let's do it shall we folks start
52:30 Fe TR log in log in why they hide to log
52:34 in Eddie why you was your Dicky in the
52:38 sink I got an ice cream and you can't
52:42 have
52:47 n
52:51 bam okay so now I'm logged
52:54 in so now I can go create a
52:57 video
53:02 um and it's going to take us into a
53:04 little studio and so I can pick
53:09 different characters so let me go find a
53:13 character oh that's a premium presenter
53:17 oh these are all premiums down here here
53:19 we go okay this is good perfect so that
53:23 sort of looks like our British British
53:24 person right
53:26 and so I can either um use some of their
53:30 synthesized voices they have in here but
53:32 we just made that synthesized voice over
53:33 in 11 lab so we're going to upload our
53:39 file and so I am going to drag is this
53:41 her in the dimly yep so I'm going to
53:44 drag her in the dimly lit room the
53:46 silence hangs heavy pregnant with
53:48 anticipation what happened there a
53:50 single Spotlight pierces the darkness
53:52 revealing not a grand
53:54 spectacle that was weird
53:59 weird in
54:01 the all right so now we uploaded
54:05 that and so we got we got our little
54:07 audio there and we do generate
54:11 video
54:13 and let's
54:17 go and so that's going to do that so
54:19 while that's doing that we'll go create
54:20 another
54:22 video so we'll go grab the Pixar
54:27 which that was that that was what that
54:28 was intended
54:30 for
54:33 and we're going to go
54:36 upload in the
54:40 dimly and then we're going to say
54:42 generate
54:47 video and
54:48 now these things should be done
54:51 relatively quickly this site's pretty
54:54 quick Da what is this called this site
54:57 is called
54:58 D- creative reality studio so there's
55:02 another one called haen that is probably
55:06 um worth exploring because haen does um
55:11 video translations that are [ __ ]
55:13 mind-blowing in fact while these render
55:16 let me go show you the
55:18 haen this this is [ __ ] nuts this is
55:22 nuts people it's crazy I tell you it's
55:24 so where is my mouth oh my goodness all
55:29 right so this is a slide from a uh from
55:33 a talk I just
55:35 gave
55:37 oops it was not what so we've heard from
55:39 a number of clients that modular content
55:42 is important to them getting more
55:43 efficient with how we create content and
55:45 how we leverage
55:53 content behind me you see the these
55:55 little green boxes um that's how we
55:57 think about stories at Story vine we
55:59 break stories down into little atoms
56:01 right little
56:10 modules Vine I Story vine I don't say
56:14 Story vine like that I'm an ugly
56:17 American that doesn't know Italian I
56:18 certainly don't know
56:21 [Music]
56:24 Mandarin
56:47 all right so that's that and then you're
56:48 like but Kyle is that really Mandarin is
56:50 that really a good translation I don't
56:52 know let's ask someone that knows Kyle
56:55 talking Mandarin using I'll and what he
56:58 wanted to know is what does a native
57:00 speaker think let's find
57:01 [Music]
57:05 out that was Kyle yeah Kyle manding is
57:09 really good he talking about the AI some
57:12 story something yeah okay well it was AI
57:15 yeah it was AI it was AI it was AI yeah
57:18 it wasn't him oh he's AI yes yeah
57:21 interesting isn't it see Kyle he didn't
57:24 even realize
57:42 all right my battery was about to
57:45 die hold
57:47 please hold please all right so wasn't
57:50 that amazing um pronoun pronunciation
57:54 check I don't know what that said
57:58 um so let's go watch these things so so
58:02 here's so okay so the translation I just
58:05 showed that was a that's a company
58:07 called haen h y
58:09 geen and if you go to labs. hen.com that
58:14 takes you to that language translation
58:15 tool um it's pretty remarkable okay so
58:19 now these
58:21 things in the dimly lit room the silence
58:24 hangs heavy pregnant with anticipation a
58:27 single Spotlight pierces the darkness
58:29 revealing not a grand spectacle but a
58:32 solitary figure standing at the
58:34 precipice of
58:35 innovation as the first words echo
58:37 through the void they are not spoken
58:39 lightly they carry the weight of purpose
58:42 the gravity of a mission in a world
58:44 driven by chaos and noise we offer you a
58:46 respite a sanctuary of clarity a res the
58:49 essence of our message is distilled to
58:51 its purest form there there was a good
58:54 uh that that was a good pronunciation
58:56 check for ever hooked and then here's me
58:59 with my silly little Pixar voice in the
59:01 dimly lit room the silence hangs heavy
59:04 pregnant hey look and wearing the same
59:06 shirt a single Spotlight pierces the
59:08 darkness revealing not a grand spectacle
59:10 but a solitary figure standing at the
59:13 precipice of innovation as the first
59:15 words echo through the void they are not
59:17 spoken lightly they carry the weight of
59:20 purpose the gravity of a mission in a
59:22 world driven by chaos and Noise we offer
59:25 you a respit a sanctuary of clarity
59:28 where the essence of our message is
59:30 distilled to its purest
59:32 form all right so that's how you do that
59:35 stuff so yeah you can go from chat GPT
59:38 to an animated Voice without having to
59:41 so that could be a photograph of you it
59:43 could be something you do in mid Journey
59:45 this is exactly what I was looking for
59:47 thanks perfect that's great I had a
59:49 feeling I knew what you
59:54 wanted
1:00:01 all
1:00:14 right oh I hope everything's okay
1:00:16 sherber I just I see the responses to
1:00:18 you I didn't see the original thing but
1:00:21 but glad you're here hang out have fun
1:00:24 laugh
1:00:26 I'll keep acting
1:00:27 [Music]
1:00:28 stupid I hope everything's okay though
1:00:32 all right what's going on there
1:00:35 okay things going good there very
1:00:39 nice this is
1:00:43 cool that's beautiful although the as
1:00:47 Herod pointed out the the sleeveless
1:00:50 suit is a little
1:00:52 weird My Robot muscles are so so big I
1:00:55 just ripped the sleeves
1:00:58 off um Kyle how did you make the
1:01:01 Pixar like image of yourself I'll go
1:01:05 let's just go make one now uh wait how
1:01:07 did I do it did I do
1:01:11 it I think yeah I'll show you how I did
1:01:14 it I'm trying
1:01:18 try the brain I'm trying to remember how
1:01:21 I did it I think I did it mid
1:01:23 journey I think I did it in mid journey
1:01:26 and then I I think I uploaded a picture
1:01:28 of my fat face hang on let's let's go
1:01:36 play um let's see uh Slash imagine oh no
1:01:40 that's not what I need to do I need to
1:01:42 go
1:01:43 plus okay oh by the way so where so
1:01:47 where I am and what I'm doing but Kyle
1:01:49 what are you doing um I'm in a place
1:01:52 called Discord which is a bad and evil
1:01:54 place place that was made by Gamers for
1:01:56 gamers and so unfortunately mid Journey
1:02:00 decided that this is the best place that
1:02:02 we should be making images with command
1:02:03 line interfaces um or or instructions um
1:02:08 so all of these little dots down the
1:02:10 side these are different Discord servers
1:02:12 I'm a member of the one I'm in is the AI
1:02:14 Salon the one that that uh I'm showing
1:02:16 images from on my iPad these are the
1:02:19 little conversation channels and one of
1:02:21 them in our server is called mid Journey
1:02:23 if you go to the mid Journey Channel
1:02:24 there's newbie channels and things like
1:02:26 that where you can make images but you
1:02:28 can make them at the AI Salon as well so
1:02:30 we're going to go in there and then this
1:02:32 is where you make images and you're like
1:02:34 that's kind of cool what are all those
1:02:36 letters why are they all the same and so
1:02:39 here's a bunch of
1:02:40 pictures so I'm pretty sure how I did
1:02:43 the picture of me was I did upload a
1:02:49 file and then I went and found a picture
1:02:51 of me Kyle let's see
1:03:00 [Music]
1:03:27 I'll be right with you it's going to be
1:03:28 really good though it's GNA be so good
1:03:31 you're gonna be like oh Kyle that was so
1:03:32 cool Kyle is awesome you're still good
1:03:37 that's
1:03:38 fantastic contains
1:03:43 512 here we
1:03:53 go all right
1:03:55 that's let's see let's get one that's
1:03:58 not totally horrifically
1:04:01 embarrassing my stepmom hey
1:04:05 Cassy you can make money with
1:04:10 ch oh that was that was I was I was
1:04:13 packing on some some Co pounds there
1:04:16 that was that was three years into Co
1:04:18 look at that
1:04:23 hair
1:04:25 oh man these are these are this was not
1:04:27 a happy time this this was a little too
1:04:31 long in the uh that one's good all right
1:04:33 so we gonna upload that it really
1:04:35 doesn't
1:04:39 matter okay so there I am and so what
1:04:43 I'm going to do now is I'm going to
1:04:46 um control click this image is that
1:04:53 uploaded
1:04:57 it's not uploaded
1:05:05 uh okay now it's uploaded okay so I'm
1:05:09 going to rightclick the image so
1:05:11 basically all I did was I dragged it
1:05:12 into the chat box and hit return and
1:05:14 that uploaded it so now I'm going to
1:05:16 rightclick it and say copy link
1:05:19 okay and then I'm going to do slash
1:05:21 imagine which is how you make images in
1:05:23 mid Journey
1:05:25 why are you tying typing command
1:05:27 lines because that's how they want you
1:05:30 to do it and then I'm going to paste in
1:05:32 that URL so so the first part of this
1:05:35 prompt is my image and then I'm going to
1:05:39 say
1:05:43 um a young
1:05:52 man in his home office Smiles for the
1:05:57 camera in Pixar Animation
1:06:03 style and then I'm going to make it and
1:06:05 I think this is how I did
1:06:13 it and and mid Journey doesn't judge
1:06:15 like I put a young man in there it
1:06:17 doesn't go but you're an old
1:06:18 [Laughter]
1:06:21 man and I think I did like like I don't
1:06:25 know 50 of these things before I found
1:06:28 one that was kind of the right like I
1:06:29 wanted a certain kind of thing but you
1:06:31 can already see you can already start to
1:06:33 see that it's it's it's in the in the
1:06:36 right neighborhood
1:06:38 right isn't that
1:06:45 slick
1:06:51 bam that dude's fun although looks a
1:06:54 little
1:06:56 scared let's do variations of two okay
1:06:58 so if you haven't seen mid Journey
1:07:00 before so I just did uploaded an image
1:07:02 use that as the first part of the image
1:07:04 prompt then said a young man in his home
1:07:06 office Smiles for the camera in a Pixar
1:07:10 Animation um and now you've got these U1
1:07:13 through 4 V1 through 4 and this little
1:07:15 twirly thing so twirly thing is I hate
1:07:17 all of them redo them all um the U's
1:07:20 mean upscale 1 2 3 4 and the v's mean
1:07:23 give me Vari of 1 2 3 4 why is this the
1:07:28 interface cuz Geeks
1:07:32 okay you're like but Kyle that doesn't
1:07:34 make any sense exactly so we'll do I
1:07:38 like this one for variations so I'm
1:07:39 going to do V3 and that's going to give
1:07:41 me variations based on that image and
1:07:44 then hopefully we'll have one here
1:07:46 that's decent and we'll what what I'll
1:07:48 do is I'll I'll take this over to did
1:07:50 and and we'll we'll generate a talkie
1:07:53 version of this new version of
1:07:58 me and maybe I'll even do a synthesized
1:08:00 voice from D-
1:08:11 ID um are all of these pays so this is
1:08:14 from I'm a librarian are all of these
1:08:17 paid or free that you just used here's
1:08:19 the the challenge with all the
1:08:21 multimedia stuff 11 Labs is paid and not
1:08:25 cheap did is paid and not cheap I have
1:08:28 Runway ml it's paid and not cheap heyen
1:08:32 is paid and not cheap so they're they're
1:08:35 all pretty
1:08:36 expensive
1:08:40 um they all look scared but that's okay
1:08:42 we'll upscale number one
1:08:44 here um I think some of these have like
1:08:48 hey genen gives you two credits for the
1:08:51 translation thing so if you just want to
1:08:53 do a test like for your company um but
1:08:56 hen ends up being I think it's $2 a
1:08:59 minute so hen is using 11 labs for The
1:09:03 Voice synthesis on the back end and then
1:09:05 they're using their own proprietary
1:09:07 mouth syncing technology kind of like
1:09:09 did has here um to sync sync the mouth
1:09:13 in those translation things um anyway
1:09:16 there's me it's cute we're going to grab
1:09:19 it or no we'll we'll save it we'll save
1:09:23 image so we'll just save that to
1:09:26 downloads is fine we'll head back over
1:09:28 to
1:09:29 D- we'll go create
1:09:33 video and now I'm going to add and we're
1:09:36 going to go find that image I just
1:09:41 made right
1:09:43 there boom and it
1:09:48 comes and then we're going to select
1:09:50 that so there I am and I think I can
1:09:53 probably
1:09:57 leaving I could make it the whole size
1:10:00 of this
1:10:06 thing that's a little too
1:10:10 close that's all right we we'll make a
1:10:12 disturbingly close one
1:10:16 um that's not what I wanted okay so let
1:10:18 me go back to chat
1:10:21 JP and get our little script where is
1:10:25 it there's our
1:10:30 script we'll grab a different part of
1:10:32 the script we'll do a little longer one
1:10:35 too bang okay and then we'll go back to
1:10:42 did and we're going to pop that in
1:10:45 there and let's
1:10:48 see let's do South African
1:10:52 English and we'll do
1:10:55 Luke and then I'm going to say generate
1:11:05 video wait wait I just got here how are
1:11:07 we doing this please I love these in
1:11:10 your other account um oh thanks I am so
1:11:15 what I did Corey was I
1:11:20 went so what I just did was I went to
1:11:23 Mid joury so someone asked how I made
1:11:25 the Pixar version of myself so I went to
1:11:28 Mid journey I uploaded a photograph of
1:11:30 myself I then said a young man standing
1:11:33 in his home office a Pixar Animation or
1:11:36 something like that and then it made
1:11:38 those and then I picked one of those now
1:11:41 I'm in D-
1:11:42 ID where I uploaded that image and
1:11:46 selected one of their pre you know
1:11:49 pre-selected synth voices so this won't
1:11:51 be my voice this is going to be some
1:11:53 South African dude named
1:11:57 Luke and uh and yeah this will turn into
1:12:00 a video here here's one that I did
1:12:03 before we got in here this is one where
1:12:04 I used 11 labs for the audio in the
1:12:08 dimly lit room the silence a model of me
1:12:10 pregnant with anticipation a single
1:12:13 Spotlight pierces the darkness revealing
1:12:15 not a
1:12:16 grand one thing I did notice about these
1:12:19 tools room the silence hangs heavy with
1:12:22 anticipation singles the the the mouth
1:12:26 like the detail on the mouth when you
1:12:28 start with the image when they do this
1:12:30 synthesis that moves the mouth it gets
1:12:32 really mushy from a from a uh just a
1:12:36 Clarity standpoint so if you're picky
1:12:39 about about details like that in your
1:12:42 video these tools are going to piss you
1:12:45 off but you know
1:12:48 tough um you know my my my thought on a
1:12:52 lot of these to tools is that they you
1:12:54 know while they're while they're janky
1:12:56 you know don't forget they're performing
1:13:00 Miracles you know like six months ago
1:13:03 none of this was possible and now we can
1:13:06 just upload something pick a voice and
1:13:08 have it talk it we don't even have to
1:13:09 write it we can just say write me a
1:13:11 script on blah Green Acres is a place to
1:13:16 be AI learning lab is a place to be Chad
1:13:20 GPT is aive for
1:13:22 me
1:13:26 um by the way everyone if you're here
1:13:28 welcome I know this seems like Silly
1:13:30 Season and as much as we have fun in
1:13:33 here playing with AI just just [ __ ]
1:13:36 around with it is is one of the best
1:13:38 ways that I know to learn this stuff and
1:13:41 what's possible about it have fun with
1:13:43 it I'm the the phrase that I've come up
1:13:45 with that that kind of describes this
1:13:48 play that I'm I'm doing with AI is what
1:13:50 I'm calling lateral play meaning there's
1:13:54 there's things that I'm really good at
1:13:56 and things I've been trained on and you
1:13:58 know things as a CEO of a company and
1:14:01 and an entrepreneur that are my
1:14:03 day-to-day job and then a lot of this AI
1:14:05 stuff I'm playing out in the periphery
1:14:07 of my talents and and sometimes I'm
1:14:09 playing in so far in the periphery of my
1:14:12 talents it's in areas where I've got
1:14:13 zero Talent right and that's what I'm
1:14:16 calling lateral play so lateral play is
1:14:18 all the stuff out to the sides that even
1:14:20 if you're just playing with it what
1:14:22 you're doing is you're learning what's
1:14:24 possible you're learning what the
1:14:25 boundaries of this stuff are and then
1:14:27 and what invariably happens with me is
1:14:30 I'll be in work and a client will say
1:14:32 hey I'm trying to figure this problem
1:14:34 out and I'll go holy [ __ ] I just did
1:14:36 some version of that yesterday when I
1:14:38 was just [ __ ] around so so that's
1:14:41 kind of the stuff we're doing here and
1:14:43 and uh and having fun with it so if
1:14:45 you'd be so kind um share the live even
1:14:48 if people think you're weird cuz you're
1:14:49 sharing something about AI tough let
1:14:52 them deal with it um and and follow the
1:14:54 channel follow my channel hop out and go
1:14:57 follow this this guy is my God he's
1:14:59 awesome he's I've never seen anything
1:15:01 like this right because you
1:15:04 know this is just not normal I'm neuros
1:15:08 spicy uh as many of the people are that
1:15:10 are in here regularly thank you Craig
1:15:13 appreciate that um I don't know why this
1:15:15 is taking so long but it's bugging me
1:15:18 come on man come on man make it here's
1:15:22 another one we did room the silence
1:15:24 hangs heavy pregnant with
1:15:26 anticipation a single Spotlight pierces
1:15:29 the darkness revealing not a grand
1:15:40 spectacle oh there's lots of images oh
1:15:43 here we'll look at we'll look at images
1:15:45 in the meantime when that comes back
1:15:48 here's here's some of the things the
1:15:49 Irregulars are are putting in
1:15:52 uh
1:15:54 AI learning lab express
1:15:56 lane that's
1:15:57 [Laughter]
1:16:00 great yeah by the way when did we all
1:16:03 get hired to be grocery store checkout
1:16:06 people I know that's a Bill Bird joke
1:16:08 but
1:16:08 seriously what's up ungrounded that's
1:16:19 great we have a fun janky
1:16:22 time it's a janky good time oh
1:16:27 yeah that's actually really cool who did
1:16:29 that one Sherry D killing
1:16:33 it Green Acres has the place to be all
1:16:36 right so some of the inside jokes here
1:16:38 I'll explain to you uh llamas cuz of
1:16:41 llama too llamas is tasty and then
1:16:44 hedgehogs that's cuz um when when
1:16:49 um open AI did their announcement for
1:16:53 Dolly 3 the the the little video example
1:16:56 they had had a hedgehog in it and then I
1:16:59 assume that's from a turtle that's M uh
1:17:02 I like turtles although that looks like
1:17:04 Yoda but we got Turtles down here from
1:17:07 the I like turtles kid and then the
1:17:09 green zombie eyes are because of the
1:17:10 zombie so lot of lot of inside jokes
1:17:13 here but that's pretty groovy lots of
1:17:16 neuros spicy folks on Tik Tok do group
1:17:19 folding laundry folding we we mess
1:17:22 around with a
1:17:32 the group laundry
1:17:34 folding okay all right you Irregulars
1:17:37 let's get some let's get some laundry
1:17:39 folding images shall we I think it's
1:17:45 important all right okay I thought that
1:17:47 that might have been an interface issue
1:17:49 and um Mid
1:17:52 journey is the first words echo through
1:17:54 the void they are not spoken lightly
1:17:57 they carry the weight of purpose the
1:17:59 gravity of a mission in a world driven
1:18:01 by chaos and noise we offer you a respit
1:18:04 a sanctuary of clarity where the essence
1:18:06 of our message is distilled to its
1:18:07 purest form corn other grand gestures
1:18:10 and Theatrical
1:18:11 flourishes in their place a stark and
1:18:14 unyielding honesty we do not promise
1:18:16 Miracles or Utopias but a path forward a
1:18:19 promise to navigate the Labyrinth of
1:18:21 uncertainty with unwavering
1:18:22 determination I mean do you does it does
1:18:26 it compute with any of you like it
1:18:28 computes with me that like when I was a
1:18:31 kid and I learned about like oh I want
1:18:33 to do animation and then you learn how
1:18:35 to do animation and like you have to
1:18:37 draw not one picture but 24 pictures per
1:18:43 second and if you have an add brain like
1:18:46 mine you're like you get through halfway
1:18:47 through the first picture you're like oh
1:18:49 [ __ ] this I can't do this and and now we
1:18:52 just like can do it it like the the the
1:18:57 um what I what I'm sort of been the
1:19:00 phrase that's been popping popping in my
1:19:02 head lately around this whole idea is
1:19:05 the democratization of specialization
1:19:08 that there's all these specialty skills
1:19:10 that that people went to school for
1:19:12 years for that all of a sudden now we
1:19:14 just get to have all of us all of us get
1:19:18 to have all the skills to some degree
1:19:20 right is that thing anywhere near a
1:19:23 Pixar Animation no will it be five years
1:19:27 from now yeah it might be three years
1:19:28 from
1:19:29 now um but right
1:19:32 now like I can be a Pixar animator good
1:19:35 enough to do
1:19:38 something and then if I'm if I've got
1:19:40 talkie skills I can record my own voice
1:19:43 and if I don't I can just have chat GPT
1:19:45 write the script you know did or 11 Labs
1:19:49 do the voice mid Journey do the image
1:19:52 and I you could make a whole you know
1:19:55 movie for your kid in in over a
1:19:58 weekend I mean holy crap people good
1:20:02 good
1:20:04 lord it's crazy it's just
1:20:08 crazy telling you telling you this is
1:20:11 not normal but it's not
1:20:14 bad everyone's like but the but the
1:20:16 robots are going to kill us no well they
1:20:22 might
1:20:25 they might but that's not really your
1:20:28 concern right
1:20:32 now all
1:20:34 right all right some comments were
1:20:37 filtered to protect the community's
1:20:38 experience are you trolls in here saying
1:20:40 the bad
1:20:44 words or is it some gen xers like me who
1:20:47 forgot to turn off their Millennial
1:20:52 filter I feel so triggered I know it's
1:20:58 crazy all right what's something
1:21:01 affordable for us little guys um for
1:21:04 that for all of that animation [ __ ] the
1:21:06 things that are
1:21:08 affordable so there's a lot of free
1:21:10 stuff like the stable diffusion's got
1:21:12 some animation stuff it does and and um
1:21:16 called I forget what it's
1:21:18 called H whatever it doesn't matter um a
1:21:22 lot of the open source projects like if
1:21:24 you if you can if you can geek out a
1:21:25 little bit there's a lot of free stuff
1:21:27 out there um these things that just make
1:21:29 it easy to sort of patch all these
1:21:31 models together like like did just did
1:21:33 and like 11 Labs is doing um those
1:21:36 require those require some money so not
1:21:40 a ton
1:21:41 unfortunately um I think even canva
1:21:44 canvas's got Runway ml's video generator
1:21:48 uh incorporated into it now um but you
1:21:50 have to I think the minimum there is 15
1:21:52 bucks a month
1:21:54 um so but but quite frankly just if if
1:21:57 you're just trying to deal with the with
1:21:59 the free stuff use Bing bing.com and
1:22:03 bing.com create will do the image
1:22:05 generation that's
1:22:06 gp4 and um Dolly 3 for free so that was
1:22:12 the exact reason why I asked wait what
1:22:15 was that laundry folding on Discord oh
1:22:18 okay let me go
1:22:18 [Laughter]
1:22:22 look
1:22:25 oh these are good
1:22:27 okay this
1:22:31 is when you have a monkey do your
1:22:34 laundry that's really
1:22:36 good
1:22:42 um uh that was the exact reason I asked
1:22:45 I want to make a movie for my kids L
1:22:47 best use of AI well you want to know
1:22:49 what's really for me right now you know
1:22:51 what's fun what's funny um alt Sams is
1:22:55 or wait at oh wait at ATL Sams so I
1:23:00 guess it's Atlanta Sams is my guest um
1:23:04 was your chat gbt
1:23:08 here it was a fine fall day and that's
1:23:11 when I chose
1:23:13 Bounty
1:23:15 um you said the UN alive word did I am I
1:23:19 not allowed to say that well I guess
1:23:21 we'll find out if they shut the handle
1:23:23 down for 7
1:23:24 days it's it's exhausting I yeah well
1:23:28 whatever okay um let's see what was I
1:23:33 talking about we were talking
1:23:35 about these
1:23:38 things
1:23:40 oh the making oh the making kids
1:23:44 things making stuff for your kids with
1:23:46 chat gbt Sam ultman was just interviewed
1:23:49 at the I think it was at the zappier
1:23:52 annual conference the developers
1:23:53 conference for zapier and Sam Alman was
1:23:56 there and was interviewed and and the
1:23:59 interviewer asked him what's been the
1:24:01 most surprising thing about how people
1:24:03 are using chat GPT and he said like the
1:24:07 Staggering amount of people making
1:24:09 personalized books for their kids like
1:24:12 projects for kids where the parents are
1:24:14 like doing these really cool projects I
1:24:16 think it's so cool that of all the
1:24:18 things he's he's like surprised and
1:24:19 excited about it's that one and cuz it's
1:24:22 [ __ ]
1:24:23 magic It's
1:24:26 Magic it's just magic and and you know
1:24:29 that that thing that I just showed you
1:24:31 alt Sams is or Atlanta Sams is um you
1:24:36 know you could upload picture of the kid
1:24:38 picture of you know yourself your wife
1:24:40 whoever significant other and turn them
1:24:43 into Pixar things and then you could
1:24:45 have them running in a yard or you could
1:24:48 and and oh here's here's another thing
1:24:49 I'll show you
1:24:51 okay welcome to Chad add let's go show
1:24:54 you one other thing you can do since
1:24:56 you're making a movie I hope your AI
1:24:59 condensed video sees the interesting
1:25:01 content in my
1:25:03 last comment I hope your AI condensed
1:25:06 videos sees the interesting content in
1:25:09 my last
1:25:11 comment I missed it
1:25:14 Clint so I don't know what you talking
1:25:20 about Kyle is right it's a bounty
1:25:25 commercial exactly um I guess Yoda's the
1:25:28 turtle um let's go I'll go back to Mid
1:25:32 Journey I'll make a picture of like me
1:25:36 on a bike R like riding on a tricycle
1:25:40 and then we'll go over to Runway ML and
1:25:44 we'll turn that image into a a video all
1:25:47 right so let's go let's go do
1:25:51 that
1:25:55 [Music]
1:26:06 M okay so I'm back in mid Journey so I'm
1:26:08 going to do slash
1:26:12 imagine and then I'm going to paste in
1:26:14 that's the URL to the photo of me right
1:26:17 so I uploaded that lovely photo which
1:26:21 could could be used in a in a of law
1:26:23 apparently and then you know we did The
1:26:26 Prompt that we did a little closeup
1:26:27 there but now I'm going to do that and
1:26:28 I'm going to do
1:26:31 um let's
1:26:35 see a young man rides a bike down a
1:26:39 Suburban street where the houses look
1:26:42 like
1:26:45 1950s birthday
1:26:49 cakes in a Pixar Animation Style
1:26:54 style all right so now hopefully we can
1:26:57 get a little bit of a zoom out of me on
1:26:59 a
1:27:15 [Music]
1:27:19 bike oh no
1:27:25 that's not good cuz we got to zoom
1:27:33 out copy and I'm going to do another
1:27:35 thing here all right so we're going to
1:27:36 do slash imagine that was wrong so I'm
1:27:39 going to do um I'm going to do
1:27:44 um uh medium shot no that's a medium
1:27:47 shot so we want to do
1:27:51 um action
1:27:54 shot of a young
1:27:58 man riding a
1:28:03 bike and then in a Pixar Animation style
1:28:06 and at the end I'm going to put
1:28:08 um--
1:28:10 AR space 16 colon 9 and so that's going
1:28:15 to give me a 16 by9 aspect ratio for
1:28:19 this image cuz we're going to make a
1:28:21 video so why don't we make it like vide
1:28:22 shaped reality Defender raises $15
1:28:25 million to detect text video and image
1:28:29 deep fakes oh that's
1:28:33 interesting yeah they'll probably be
1:28:35 able to do that
1:28:37 but I don't think that's the solution
1:28:40 the the the Deep fake people are are
1:28:43 just going to keep building stuff that's
1:28:46 around the oh you know what the problem
1:28:47 with this is I know no Kyle what's the
1:28:49 problem the problem is I used a photo
1:28:52 that was a closeup as the source image
1:28:54 that's the problem all right whatever
1:28:56 we'll you know what we'll just grab one
1:28:57 of these and we'll we'll go over to Mid
1:28:59 or to uh Runway and we'll turn one of
1:29:01 these into a
1:29:06 video and these don't even look like
1:29:08 Pixar animations anymore do
1:29:13 they these are bad these are really
1:29:16 [Laughter]
1:29:19 bad oh good lord all right well we'll go
1:29:23 grab something else anyway so with a
1:29:24 better picture you could do an action
1:29:26 shot let me see if I can find another
1:29:28 image to go steal
1:29:30 here um oh you know what maybe I've got
1:29:33 one I've got
1:29:41 one we'll grab one of the Irregulars
1:29:43 images here and we'll go make it into a
1:29:47 video
1:29:49 uh I don't know if that one will animate
1:29:54 [Laughter]
1:30:01 there's a good one this is good and
1:30:02 disturbing Sherry D we're going to turn
1:30:05 this into a movie this is going to give
1:30:06 people nightmares
1:30:11 tonight all right this is very very good
1:30:13 all right we're gonna go here we're
1:30:15 gonna save it all right so now we're
1:30:18 going to go to Runway
1:30:20 ML and I think it's studio. runwayml is
1:30:24 that right
1:30:26 studio.
1:30:28 Runway nope dang it app. runwayml yeah
1:30:33 app. runwayml okay so we're going to go
1:30:36 to app a. Runway ml.com
1:30:41 and we're going to log in with our
1:30:43 little
1:30:47 account um and we're going to start with
1:30:51 an image
1:30:53 and then I'm going to drag and drop an
1:30:54 image there which is that creepy image
1:30:57 that Sherry D made is so creepy but it's
1:31:01 good it's Halloween people lighten up so
1:31:04 so we're using images of be's above
1:31:06 himself and apparently his little
1:31:11 buddy two large men with
1:31:14 eyeballs all
1:31:16 right and so that's interpolate so you
1:31:19 you can grab the settings here so this
1:31:21 is General motion so I'm going to
1:31:23 increase this to like seven cuz we want
1:31:25 I want more Motion in here oops sorry
1:31:29 and then um I think this is panning so
1:31:34 let's
1:31:35 do do I want to go up or
1:31:39 down we want them going
1:31:43 down so we want to pan up yeah so let's
1:31:48 pan
1:31:49 up okay save and now we're going to
1:31:52 generate
1:31:53 boom and so Runway ml now is going to
1:31:57 take that image and it's going to turn
1:31:59 it into 4 seconds of video and then
1:32:02 after it generates the 4 seconds of
1:32:04 video you can actually extend it um four
1:32:07 times you you can get up to 18 seconds
1:32:10 of video so you could absolutely
1:32:12 storyboard a project in mid Journey get
1:32:16 get all of your components of your story
1:32:18 get them in some version of good and
1:32:20 then bring them over here to run way and
1:32:23 and uh pop them in
1:32:26 here
1:32:28 so pretty cool
1:32:33 stuff all right our video's
1:32:36 done let me do that this is very
1:32:41 [Laughter]
1:32:51 disturbing
1:33:01 so
1:33:01 [Laughter]
1:33:06 good all right this is the this is the
1:33:09 future we asked for it's here it
1:33:13 came Amazon your Future's been delivered
1:33:16 oh my God it's creepy take it away oh
1:33:18 I'm sorry we can't uninvent this man
1:33:21 once you for and this is
1:33:30 yours you can make money
1:33:36 with oh never a dull
1:33:41 moment
1:33:43 um
1:33:47 yeah Dad is 89 this stuff is blowing his
1:33:50 mind I I just I feel feel like anyone
1:33:54 anyone that sees this stuff that that
1:33:56 looks beyond you know beyond the surface
1:33:58 of this stuff I I don't know how you
1:34:00 cannot have your mind blown I mean I I
1:34:03 talk about this [ __ ] every flipping
1:34:06 night and as you can imagine I'm also
1:34:09 insufferable during the day hey Kyle how
1:34:12 are you doing have I told you about AI
1:34:15 yeah Kyle can I tell you
1:34:19 more and it still blows my mind it's
1:34:23 just it's unbelievable how can someone
1:34:24 create their own group in Discord and
1:34:26 still use mid journey I forget how to do
1:34:29 that Brandon just go to uh just go to
1:34:31 YouTube and look it up it's a specific
1:34:34 thing you have to do you do a thing then
1:34:35 you install the server or you go to Mid
1:34:37 journey and I don't know it's some
1:34:40 sequence of 17 obscure steps that some
1:34:43 geek made a video about on
1:34:45 YouTube um but yeah if you if you want
1:34:49 to not do what I did and like up upload
1:34:52 my real photo into a public forum on Mid
1:34:55 Journey what you have to do is sort of
1:34:56 create your own thread and then generate
1:34:59 images within it I just forget exactly
1:35:00 how to do it cuz you
1:35:03 know lack of
1:35:06 discipline no prefrontal cortex function
1:35:09 [Laughter]
1:35:15 whatever I can't believe I used to spend
1:35:17 time watching Hulu at
1:35:20 night
1:35:26 the residuals from Tik Tok are going to
1:35:27 be fantastic Bob tell him what he's won
1:35:30 you can make money
1:35:34 with oh my God Hulu's gotten so
1:35:37 expensive too we we like got rid of our
1:35:39 cable [ __ ] and did the you know we'll
1:35:41 just do streaming because it's cheaper
1:35:43 it's not cheaper anymore it's all the
1:35:45 same all the like capitalism like all
1:35:49 the prices like normalize right they all
1:35:51 just [ __ ] collude they go to their
1:35:53 annual conference where they have booths
1:35:55 and you know Booth babes smoking
1:35:58 cigars and they're like what are you
1:36:00 charging Bob I don't know we're charging
1:36:02 89 bucks this year oh all right you went
1:36:03 up to 89 huh I think we're going to go
1:36:05 to 99 I'll tell you what we're up to
1:36:08 119 all right I like the sound of that
1:36:11 119 let's get those profits going
1:36:15 boys tired of it plus they didn't pay
1:36:19 residuals to any of the actors or the
1:36:20 writers at least the writers got that in
1:36:22 their uh contract
1:36:26 negotiations
1:36:29 um it's great to be able to cancel
1:36:31 Netflix Hulu Disney all of them are
1:36:35 gone that's awesome um instead of a
1:36:39 still image I don't know what that was
1:36:41 in reference to new book shows how AI
1:36:43 can revolutionize book promotions and
1:36:46 profitability absolutely I kept watching
1:36:49 Hulu but cut out eating dinner Hulu for
1:36:52 us all the it's it's like
1:36:56 every every 17 minutes it just pauses
1:37:01 and you get the little twirly ball and
1:37:03 you're like really really we we this is
1:37:05 where we are with our technology it's
1:37:08 2023 we we've got we've got tools that
1:37:11 are literally making movies for us
1:37:13 dynamically and you can't get the your
1:37:15 [ __ ] little show to
1:37:16 stream every night every 17
1:37:20 minutes my eyes are a little dry my eyes
1:37:23 are a little dry people I don't know
1:37:26 what's going on oh I know I'm not
1:37:28 drinking any
1:37:29 water I'm a little
1:37:35 parched all
1:37:37 right great job you've gone live for 90
1:37:40 minutes don't forget to take a
1:37:42 break that's cute no no we don't we're
1:37:46 we're professionals we don't take breaks
1:37:49 there's no crying in baseball
1:37:53 softball baseball baseball softball
1:37:55 baseball I don't
1:37:57 remember
1:38:06 baseball it's a book that
1:38:08 tells how to
1:38:12 ring how to ring Kyle's golden Button
1:38:15 Man mid Journey Discord interface just
1:38:17 looks like AOL dialup I know it does
1:38:20 doesn't it thoughts on ai's impact on
1:38:22 the strikes um
1:38:25 well
1:38:30 um Justine baitman wrote a really good
1:38:34 piece that's Jason Batman's sister used
1:38:36 to be an actress now she's a producer
1:38:38 and a director and like Wicked [ __ ]
1:38:40 smart really knows computer stuff so she
1:38:42 wrote this piece for The Hollywood
1:38:45 Reporter that talked about um AI quite
1:38:50 intelligently
1:38:52 um and and one of the points she made in
1:38:54 the article was get everything you can
1:38:57 on these strikes because this is going
1:38:59 to be your last strike where you have
1:39:00 any
1:39:02 leverage um so the writers actually got
1:39:06 they got really good stuff they got
1:39:07 residuals from streaming platforms they
1:39:10 got there's got to be a certain amount
1:39:12 of writers in the room right if if
1:39:14 you're doing a show right you can't have
1:39:16 it can't be just one writer and AI right
1:39:20 um
1:39:22 producers can't so so one of the things
1:39:24 that happens when you write a screenplay
1:39:26 is if they bring in another writer to
1:39:29 rewrite to to do a Polish pass on your
1:39:33 screenplay if the new writer writes more
1:39:35 than whatever the percentage is I think
1:39:37 it's 50% but whatever the percentage was
1:39:40 if they write more than 50% new story
1:39:43 then it becomes their story and you or
1:39:47 their screenplay and you get story
1:39:49 credit so they got in the in the
1:39:52 agreement that um if a writer produces a
1:39:57 screenplay the producer can't use AI to
1:40:00 rewrite it at a at a significant
1:40:02 percentage that it knocks knocks their
1:40:04 credit down basically you can't have ai
1:40:07 subsume um credit for a human writer
1:40:10 they got that um and then they did
1:40:13 something smart so the thing that I that
1:40:16 that I was worried about with that
1:40:18 strike was um like Justin st's position
1:40:22 and a lot of the writers position and a
1:40:24 lot of the actors position was [ __ ] AI
1:40:26 ai's evil [ __ ] you
1:40:29 AI we'll never use it and what they
1:40:32 actually ended up negotiating
1:40:35 was we as writers can use the most
1:40:39 powerful writing tool in the history of
1:40:42 humanity but if you producers take our
1:40:46 work and train an AI to be as good as us
1:40:49 we reserve the right to sue the living
1:40:51 [ __ ] out of you um so there's kind of
1:40:54 this you know um this kind of uh you
1:40:58 know mutually assured destruction thing
1:41:01 where the writers are saying hey we're
1:41:03 going to use these tools and the
1:41:04 producers are like that's fine and but
1:41:06 they're like don't take our [ __ ] and
1:41:08 train your stupid AI on it and think
1:41:10 that you can boot us out of there cuz
1:41:12 we'll come back and sue your ass so I
1:41:14 think that what the writers got um is is
1:41:17 is really good I think they got a lot I
1:41:19 think it from what I heard that they got
1:41:21 more than you know what they expected to
1:41:24 get um so that's really good um I don't
1:41:28 know the status of the SAG strike I
1:41:29 think they're still striking and and uh
1:41:33 you know hopefully they'll get something
1:41:34 similar so so the role of AI played it
1:41:37 played a significant role I think
1:41:38 because this AI
1:41:40 stuff it's so clear to anyone who uses
1:41:44 chat GPT that its writing skills are so
1:41:48 [ __ ] remarkable that even if it's not
1:41:50 human quality now it's going to be
1:41:52 pretty shortly right it's not going to
1:41:54 be long so so the fact that they got you
1:41:58 know I don't know how long the contract
1:41:59 is but the fact that they got that in
1:42:01 the contract for some amount of years is
1:42:03 is pretty significant so it's good good
1:42:06 question cognizant and Vine systems
1:42:10 announced strategic Partnerships to
1:42:11 advance generative AI capabilities
1:42:15 interesting what's vioni I've never
1:42:17 heard of
1:42:20 that uh uh uh uh
1:42:26 viai
1:42:31 systems the mindes behind the machines
1:42:34 Dr sanay rajer
1:42:38 gopalan fite
1:42:41 systems what do they do what do you do V
1:42:46 oh F oh hey
1:42:47 Mark oh
1:42:50 hi
1:42:53 Advanced generative AI
1:43:04 capabilities yeah it's one of those I
1:43:06 guess they're who we
1:43:08 are we're a human centered AI platform
1:43:12 and Products
1:43:15 Company oh I guess I I I guess it's a
1:43:18 tech consulting company so they teamed
1:43:20 up with cogn so cognizant has a clue
1:43:23 about this generative AI stuff that
1:43:25 makes sense all right interesting AI is
1:43:28 decades old yeah Smiley so that's it's a
1:43:31 really good point
1:43:32 so so one of the things I talk
1:43:35 about I compare what's going on right
1:43:38 now with
1:43:39 AI has has strong strong parallels to
1:43:43 what um went on in the early days of the
1:43:46 worldwide web so in the mid90s the
1:43:50 internet had been around for decades
1:43:51 also right and it was primarily used by
1:43:54 scientists and researchers and
1:43:55 Librarians and you know they would go
1:43:57 for an FTP files around and you know
1:44:00 their their systems were connected but
1:44:02 they were basically trading research and
1:44:05 research and then Tim Tim burner Lee
1:44:08 invents the worldwide web right and then
1:44:11 they invent the browser and and all of a
1:44:13 sudden you can surf the Internet by
1:44:16 doing
1:44:17 this you don't need to do this you don't
1:44:20 need to do command lines and this
1:44:23 captures people's imaginations because
1:44:25 it's like oh I can click on a thing and
1:44:28 and before that to jump to another
1:44:30 computer somewhere you had to type in
1:44:32 [ __ ] and now you could just do this
1:44:33 right and it changed everything so
1:44:36 similarly machine learning and AI has
1:44:39 been around for decades but it's largely
1:44:41 been the purview of scientists and
1:44:42 mathematicians and deep Minds at Deep
1:44:46 Google and all that sort of [ __ ] and
1:44:49 then chat GPT comes along November 30th
1:44:52 2022 less than a year ago but it's
1:44:54 coming up the anniversary's coming up
1:44:57 and and it changes everything because
1:45:00 it's the equivalent of this for machine
1:45:02 learning and AI right generative
1:45:05 pre-trained Transformer so chat GPT is
1:45:10 generating original [ __ ] from this
1:45:12 pre-trained model that is trained using
1:45:15 these things called Transformers and
1:45:17 that's the thing that changed everything
1:45:19 so while it is decades old
1:45:21 the generative AI thing
1:45:25 isn't in the in the popular
1:45:29 culture and that's what this channel is
1:45:31 about so there you go there you
1:45:35 go
1:45:37 uh I told the guy at FedEx Kinkos about
1:45:40 chat the other day it was a 30 minute
1:45:42 conversation that's that's one of the
1:45:44 one of the downsides of sharing all this
1:45:46 [ __ ] with people is uh about every like
1:45:50 what what I find I kind of find right
1:45:52 now it's kind of like this I'll bring up
1:45:56 Ai and out of 10
1:45:59 people two people just dismiss it out of
1:46:03 hand some people in the middle kind of
1:46:05 listen and kind of plate me and just
1:46:08 roll their eyes and then there's like
1:46:10 two two two out of the 10 are just like
1:46:13 tell me more let's call can you show me
1:46:17 something I want to see it
1:46:19 now or I'll show something they're like
1:46:21 oh I've been thinking about playing with
1:46:23 that what does it actually do and then
1:46:24 I'll show them something I'll be like oh
1:46:26 my God can it do some other things I'm
1:46:28 like yeah here look at this oh my
1:46:31 God those are the fun
1:46:37 ones I kept watching Hulu but cut out
1:46:39 eating dinner uh uh uh uh
1:46:43 uhuh uh we did that one um filevine
1:46:48 announces new AI powered legal intake
1:46:51 tool leads AI by lead docket
1:46:54 sounds perfect use
1:46:57 case just upload your [ __ ] here um maybe
1:47:01 we should go do a little chat GPT
1:47:05 stuff my new dat wait new data suggests
1:47:08 it and Security leaders are ignorant of
1:47:10 generative AI threats that doesn't
1:47:12 surprise me at all actually you know
1:47:14 what's really interesting Thelonius
1:47:17 is you know there's that Ethan mik piece
1:47:21 um dis uh detecting the secret cyborgs
1:47:24 that talks
1:47:25 about you've got subcultures within
1:47:29 companies that are getting AI
1:47:32 literate and a lot of times they're not
1:47:34 in the it group so you've got an IT
1:47:37 group over here that's maybe not paying
1:47:39 attention to this [ __ ] you have some
1:47:41 marketers or some you know some people
1:47:43 playing with J chat gbt that are getting
1:47:47 AI literate with it and probably
1:47:49 understand the privacy and security
1:47:51 risks better than the IT people do and
1:47:54 they're starting to understand the
1:47:55 business use cases of it so interesting
1:47:57 interesting stuff cuno after my
1:48:00 presentation today I now have three
1:48:02 folks buying me lunch to pick my brain
1:48:05 [ __ ] awesome secret cyborgs I suspect
1:48:10 so cuno works for a big company and she
1:48:12 did a big um AI education thing for for
1:48:15 a group today so three people buying you
1:48:17 lunch this is I'm telling you here's the
1:48:20 deal if you're in here and you're not
1:48:21 playing with this [ __ ] go
1:48:25 [Laughter]
1:48:31 to go to there chat. open.com just go
1:48:36 there right now if you have not played
1:48:38 with chat GPT that's the official
1:48:40 website I'm not affiliated with it in
1:48:43 any way I don't give a [ __ ] if you go
1:48:45 there or not but you should go there now
1:48:47 like not I'll get you tomorrow
1:48:51 I'm not very
1:48:53 technical no not if you're in here if
1:48:56 you're in here listening to me making
1:48:57 ass of myself go there go there right
1:49:00 now and make an ass of yourself but I'm
1:49:03 not very smart it's
1:49:04 okay let's go go go go go go all
1:49:11 right and just ask it [ __ ] tell it to
1:49:15 write your poem tell it to write your
1:49:16 song Tell it to doesn't matter anything
1:49:20 and Watch what it does try to stump it
1:49:22 go there with some of your deep obscure
1:49:24 knowledge you still remember from
1:49:26 college and try to stump
1:49:30 it and then your second mission should
1:49:34 you choose to accept it start talking to
1:49:37 people about what you're learning what
1:49:39 did it do good what did it not do good
1:49:42 um where was your mind blown where did
1:49:45 it disappoint
1:49:46 you start telling people about it who
1:49:49 well who should I tell what if they
1:49:50 think I'm weird tell them
1:49:53 anyway cuz what's happening like what's
1:49:56 happening with cuno is she's now
1:49:59 establishing herself as a thought leader
1:50:02 within her
1:50:03 company and as this stuff starts
1:50:05 percolating more and more it's going to
1:50:07 be like a bloop bloop bloop it's going
1:50:10 to get up to the Sea suite and someone
1:50:12 up there is going to go I need to know
1:50:13 about this a ey
1:50:16 [ __ ] well anybody know about this oh
1:50:20 yeah we just we just had a workshop the
1:50:22 other day in fact I went out to lunch
1:50:24 with with this woman and and uh she'll
1:50:26 uh she'll get you up to speed all right
1:50:28 get her in here I want to
1:50:37 Pronto now do all CEOs of Fortune 500
1:50:40 companies sound like that
1:50:49 yes in fact they
1:50:53 do I'm going as the singularity for
1:50:56 Halloween that's
1:50:59 brilliant I answered a Medicare AI Robo
1:51:03 call today and it fooled me no
1:51:06 [ __ ] wow did you oh was that was Sher
1:51:10 bear was that in response to um to the
1:51:14 thing I said about the New York city
1:51:16 mayor doing Robo calls he he he
1:51:19 translated his voice with 11
1:51:22 Labs um and is is doing rooc calls to
1:51:27 people in the city in their native
1:51:28 languages I think it's actually
1:51:30 brilliant I wrote like a little thought
1:51:32 starter on LinkedIn I'm like is it deep
1:51:34 faking if you do it to yourself like if
1:51:37 I take you know the image of me speaking
1:51:40 Italian and put it out there that's not
1:51:41 a deep fake is
1:51:43 it isn't that just me saying yeah I said
1:51:46 this but now I'm saying it in Italian
1:51:48 but I don't know interesting as ask me
1:51:50 about the Curiosity experiment I did
1:51:52 yesterday Source Camp what about the ex
1:51:56 curiosity experiment did you do
1:52:01 yesterday um big blue was AI NPCs in
1:52:05 games that don't do repeated predictable
1:52:07 things are AI yep lots of lots of AI out
1:52:10 there there's so much that that's
1:52:12 already embedded in what we do I bet
1:52:14 debt collection agencies are loving AI
1:52:18 yep I put a sign out at saying ask me
1:52:21 about chat GP not one single person
1:52:26 [ __ ] Source Camp keep doing that and
1:52:29 have your camera
1:52:31 running you should I'll tell you what
1:52:33 you should either do that as Tik Tok
1:52:34 lives or you should do the the funny
1:52:37 interactions as videos that would be a
1:52:39 hit I don't know if you do Tik Tok or
1:52:41 whatever but um that's a that's BR like
1:52:45 that's a brilliant brilliant thing love
1:52:48 it like and keep doing it it I love that
1:52:51 it you know that's that's the free hugs
1:52:53 meme
1:52:54 right ask me about
1:52:57 chbt I think I think the sign you should
1:53:00 have out there is you can make money
1:53:02 with and let him come over and then you
1:53:04 know sucker him in with if you can make
1:53:07 money with cat gbt and then and then
1:53:10 tell them tell them what's really going
1:53:13 on hey man how do I make money with cat
1:53:17 GPT it's been an hour oh I'll get to
1:53:19 that just just right after can I show
1:53:20 you one more
1:53:27 thing that's that's the other thing like
1:53:31 you know how much do you need to know to
1:53:33 tell other people about this like this
1:53:37 much like I know this much it's like you
1:53:42 know there's this much to
1:53:45 know nobody knows anything right now so
1:53:48 like honestly if you can log into chat
1:53:52 GPT and kind of understand what the
1:53:54 different modes are in fact why don't we
1:53:56 go since since there's a a pile of new
1:53:58 people in here it looks
1:54:01 like let's let me jump over to chat GPT
1:54:03 and show you what's going on
1:54:07 here because there's a lot there's a lot
1:54:11 in
1:54:12 it and a lot of people that I know that
1:54:15 use chat gbt
1:54:18 don't necessarily know what's in it now
1:54:21 okay so this is chat GPT let me close
1:54:26 this so down the left hand side you've
1:54:28 got this is my prompt
1:54:31 history and then over here these are
1:54:33 just some ideas you can click on if you
1:54:34 can't think of anything to say you just
1:54:36 click on those they're just whatever
1:54:38 they're fine they're they're for people
1:54:41 that don't want to engage their brain
1:54:43 but I I would strongly encourage you
1:54:45 start start engaging your curiosity
1:54:49 knuckle but by the way Irregulars I
1:54:52 think curiosity knuckle is one of those
1:54:54 things that we need to figure out what
1:54:55 it looks
1:55:01 like I don't know where that phrase came
1:55:04 from I've never heard it before but I
1:55:06 definitely think that you should engage
1:55:09 your curiosity knuckle with this chat
1:55:11 GPT [ __ ] okay so then you've got chat
1:55:15 GPT 3.5 and chat GPT 4 now you would
1:55:19 think at least if you think the way I do
1:55:21 that if you've got chat GPT 4 available
1:55:23 why would you ever use chat GPT 3.5 well
1:55:26 one reason is it's really [ __ ] fast
1:55:29 so if I go down here and I go
1:55:34 um write me an epic poem in I Amic
1:55:38 pentameter about a llama a hedgehog a
1:55:42 turtle and a
1:55:44 zomie who are on a
1:55:47 quest to
1:55:52 find the tastiest soup in all of the
1:55:58 land boom boom boom boom boom bing bang
1:56:02 boom she got me
1:56:06 there she got me there like the at
1:56:10 train in the lands were tals of old or
1:56:14 of retold a llama Hedgehog Turtle Brave
1:56:17 and Bold with zombie cursed by Fate's
1:56:20 Relentless hand set forth to seek the
1:56:23 tastiest soup in the
1:56:26 land all right so chat gbt 3.5 is fast
1:56:30 okay
1:56:32 now chat gbt
1:56:35 4 if you don't have access to do it will
1:56:38 be coming but it's starting to roll out
1:56:41 pretty wide at this point but basically
1:56:43 you've got five different modes of chat
1:56:45 GPT I think it is personally a bizarre
1:56:51 ux travesty that these are five
1:56:53 different modes and they're they're it's
1:56:55 not just smart enough to like
1:56:57 dynamically switch between them but
1:56:58 whatever I'm sure it's a safety thing if
1:57:01 you can't see these so so the way you
1:57:03 get access to these is you pay your 20
1:57:05 bucks to to get the chat GPT plus flag
1:57:08 and then you get access to these if you
1:57:10 paid your 20 bucks and can't see all
1:57:12 this you need to turn them on so how do
1:57:13 you do that you come into your settings
1:57:16 and you go settings and beta and then
1:57:18 you go to Beta features and you turn
1:57:20 that [ __ ] on Bing Bing Bang
1:57:24 Boom she got me there like the A
1:57:27 train all
1:57:29 right and now you've got them available
1:57:32 all right so the first one default is
1:57:34 just normal chat
1:57:36 GPT and from a writing quality
1:57:40 standpoint gp4 is like staggeringly
1:57:44 better than GPT 3.5 it's just better in
1:57:47 in in just almost every way it can code
1:57:50 it can do all sorts of [ __ ] in fact uh
1:57:52 uh let's see um write me a python
1:57:57 application that is a clone of the
1:58:01 classic asteroids video
1:58:04 game that I can
1:58:06 play
1:58:09 in a web
1:58:15 browser I don't know why it's
1:58:17 capitalizing all my stuff
1:58:20 so this is actually going pretty fast
1:58:23 tonight so not so it described what it's
1:58:26 going to build and now it's writing the
1:58:28 python code so if you haven't seen chat
1:58:29 GPT write code it
1:58:32 codes you know what the nice thing about
1:58:34 code is you can actually see if it works
1:58:36 go over to replic copy and paste this
1:58:38 [ __ ] into it and see if it works um and
1:58:41 is it brilliant code no but the fact
1:58:44 that I don't have to learn a line of
1:58:46 python and it just does this is just
1:58:50 stagger okay so that's just
1:58:53 that so now I'm going to do a new chat
1:58:55 we're going to come back we're going to
1:58:56 stay in default and I'm going to show
1:58:58 you something here see
1:59:00 this what's that Kyle hey Kyle what that
1:59:04 what that that is GPT Vision GPT can now
1:59:09 see so here's a
1:59:13 whiteboard I just got this off the
1:59:16 internet um it's asserting dominance
1:59:18 Kyle um this is a uh we we went through
1:59:22 this the other night it's a it's a
1:59:24 design for an airport food ordering
1:59:29 system or something like that okay so
1:59:31 it's just it's just a whiteboard right
1:59:32 and it's it's not
1:59:35 particularly um well done but but
1:59:38 decent and so now I can say um please
1:59:42 analyze this
1:59:44 application
1:59:46 and write me the code framework
1:59:50 for the main landing
1:59:54 page where you order
2:00:00 food so it's now going to go read the
2:00:04 Whiteboard and it's going to read the
2:00:06 designs of the screens and then it's
2:00:08 going to describe to me what it's going
2:00:10 to
2:00:12 do let's break down the main landing
2:00:14 page as depicted in your sketches
2:00:17 welcome
2:00:18 section all
2:00:20 right menu
2:00:34 section all right this is slow enough
2:00:36 that I'm just going to stop it but it'll
2:00:38 keep going and then it'll it'll start to
2:00:40 write you HTML for your
2:00:42 page um so that's that mode that so that
2:00:46 that's just
2:00:48 default right then you got browse with
2:00:50 Bing so then we can do things
2:00:52 like what live acoustic music might I be
2:00:58 able to see in Denver this
2:01:00 weekend and can you also make sure that
2:01:03 you include a small review of the
2:01:07 artists that you
2:01:14 find it's really weird that it's making
2:01:17 these all caps I think that must be
2:01:18 something to do with my uh I I think I
2:01:21 think the browser's quite frankly um its
2:01:24 memor is blowing out so so it's now
2:01:26 browsing the internet so it's looking
2:01:28 for live acoustic music near Denver it's
2:01:31 reading Denver this weekend in some
2:01:33 whatever that website
2:01:35 is so this this new browse with Bing
2:01:38 feature is really cool it shows you all
2:01:39 this stuff clicking on songkick.com
2:01:42 reading Denver this weekend so it's
2:01:44 going back and forth between this
2:01:46 article and something else going
2:01:48 back
2:01:50 right how cool is this so it's off doing
2:01:52 the web searching so this is an example
2:01:55 of a an autonomous agent right so it's
2:01:58 taking action based on I gave it an
2:02:02 imperative and it's sort of figuring out
2:02:04 where to go figuring out what to
2:02:13 do Dan burn Artist review reading Dan
2:02:16 burn Wikipedia right so apparently Dan
2:02:19 burn is playing this
2:02:23 weekend someone just said motherly
2:02:25 advice Dolly 3 is great via chat gp4
2:02:29 yeah I'll show it to you it's it's
2:02:30 staggeringly good it's staggeringly
2:02:35 [Music]
2:02:43 good water
2:02:48 break
2:02:53 you are awesome man it's still oh Molly
2:02:56 tuttle's playing this weekend that's
2:02:57 cool she's
2:03:06 great Christ Christina vain Artist
2:03:11 review and then you're like but Kyle
2:03:13 this is so much slower than a Google
2:03:15 search yeah except with a Google search
2:03:18 I have to sift through
2:03:20 422 sites that have been SEO injected to
2:03:23 serve me up ads rather than give me the
2:03:25 information that I want so so the amount
2:03:28 of time I spend is the same the
2:03:31 Curiosity knuckle oh I like it as a book
2:03:33 that's a great idea so Dan
2:03:36 burn at Five Points live on October 21st
2:03:40 which is in the future that's great Dan
2:03:43 is a well-regarded American guitarist
2:03:45 singer songwriter who's been compared to
2:03:47 the likes of Dylan Springsteen do due to
2:03:49 to his prolific songwriting and folk
2:03:51 rock sound nice Perpetual Mo motion at
2:03:54 the Mercury Cafe a Duo consisting of
2:03:58 violinist Josie quick and guitarist Tom
2:04:00 Carino the pair has six albums together
2:04:03 showcasing their exuberant exuberant and
2:04:06 exotic music influenced by cultures
2:04:09 around the world Molly Tuttle and
2:04:11 Christina vain that would be one I'd be
2:04:12 interested in
2:04:15 seeing so anyway that's that one that's
2:04:18 browse with B so it's no longer limited
2:04:22 to um September
2:04:25 2022
2:04:27 anymore then we've got Advanced Data
2:04:30 analysis this is another one that's just
2:04:33 [ __ ] insane so we're going to click
2:04:34 on this we're going to go to I'm going
2:04:38 to go find a zip
2:04:42 file let me see where do I have a zip
2:04:44 file I must have in
2:04:46 downloads uh uh uh uh uh uh archive 14
2:04:50 zip okay so these these archives like
2:04:55 the reason it's 14 is I keep going to
2:04:57 kaggle which is a place where you can
2:04:58 get data and so I get them just to do
2:05:02 these demos so sitting inside chat GPT
2:05:05 now is a ZIP file of some CSV or
2:05:08 multiple
2:05:09 csvs please take a look inside this ZIP
2:05:13 period there are one or more
2:05:16 csvs and I'd like you to help me
2:05:18 understand
2:05:20 what the data is in them comma what
2:05:23 might be interesting about that data
2:05:25 comma and how you might analyze it in a
2:05:28 way that brings it to life for
2:05:33 me now watch what this does I
2:05:36 mean so so what's actually happening
2:05:39 here is this is called Advanced Data
2:05:42 analysis the mode and it's creating
2:05:45 what's called a container So within your
2:05:47 chat session is a container that kind of
2:05:50 acts like a mini kind of computer where
2:05:52 it can actually run and execute code and
2:05:54 it's got its own little file system in
2:05:57 this sort of
2:05:58 temporary holding pen within your chat
2:06:01 session but it can it can write and
2:06:04 execute its own python code so if you
2:06:07 look here it it Imports the Panda's
2:06:11 Library looks at the
2:06:13 CSV looks what's in it and then what
2:06:17 does it do here it
2:06:19 it um reads the data in the first couple
2:06:23 of rows then it looks at here's all the
2:06:26 here's all the columns in this data
2:06:28 right so this is
2:06:30 Spotify 2023 CSV
2:06:34 data the data set is quite rich and can
2:06:37 be used for various interesting analyses
2:06:39 here are a few possibilities popular
2:06:42 analysis audio feature analysis artist
2:06:45 analysis release
2:06:47 timing um
2:06:52 I'd like some artist analysis done
2:06:55 please is there a way to determine folk
2:06:59 or Americana artists
2:07:03 and rank them in terms of
2:07:08 popularity
2:07:10 and
2:07:18 tempo
2:07:20 oh it doesn't have a genre column artist
2:07:29 identification yeah given the data set
2:07:31 never
2:07:32 mind that's okay we don't need to do
2:07:36 genre identification why don't you pick
2:07:39 an interesting
2:07:41 Trend analyze it and create a stunningly
2:07:47 beautiful visualization for
2:07:51 me and so now it'll go do
2:07:55 that and again this is an example of
2:07:59 what what we will increasing
2:08:01 increasingly call agents or or an
2:08:04 autonomous agent where you just kind of
2:08:06 give the computer a goal and it will
2:08:09 prompt itself to go take action and do
2:08:12 other things right now the actions that
2:08:14 are taking that it's taking are sort of
2:08:16 contained within this little container
2:08:19 in this chat session so it can it can
2:08:20 write and execute python code but it's
2:08:22 not going out to the internet and doing
2:08:24 that it's all sort of self-contained
2:08:26 with this in this little world of data
2:08:29 but it's prompting itself and and like
2:08:32 when it makes mistakes it'll it'll go
2:08:34 fix them so so let's see to create a
2:08:37 visualization we're going to Define
2:08:39 popularity we're going to do a
2:08:40 correlation analysis and then we're
2:08:42 going to do a visualization so let's
2:08:44 start with the analysis and
2:08:47 proceed so what what it did first is it
2:08:50 brought in Seaborn as a as a library and
2:08:54 Matt plot lib as a
2:08:57 library and
2:08:59 then and then wrote some code and now
2:09:02 it's doing some missing values
2:09:06 [ __ ] let's start by converting okay it
2:09:09 appears there was an error because in
2:09:11 Amazon's playlist column doesn't exist
2:09:13 in the data set this was an oversight so
2:09:16 it figured out it made a mistake and it
2:09:19 says let's correct this by removing the
2:09:21 like this is fullon data analysis
2:09:25 full-on data analysis and I don't I
2:09:28 don't know [ __ ] about data analysis at
2:09:31 all imagine if you knew what you were
2:09:33 doing with data and you could come in
2:09:35 here and do all sorts of crazy ass stuff
2:09:39 it can also export um CSV files and Word
2:09:46 Documents all right the missing value
2:09:48 vales in streams and in dieser playlists
2:09:51 columns have been successfully filled
2:09:53 with
2:09:54 zeros now that we have a clean and
2:09:57 complete data set so it cleaned up its
2:09:59 own data if you've ever tried to do
2:10:01 anything with data what you know about
2:10:03 it is it's always a pain in the ass so
2:10:06 here's a correlation between popularity
2:10:08 and audio
2:10:13 features so there's little clusters
2:10:16 around veilance and
2:10:22 energy danceability energy veilance then
2:10:25 it explains what all these terms
2:10:29 mean so that's Advanced Data analysis
2:10:33 then you have
2:10:35 plugins so it says no plugins
2:10:39 enabled so I can install lots and lots
2:10:41 of plugins let me do that um and in any
2:10:46 given chat session I can enable up to
2:10:49 three of
2:10:50 them so here here's one called prompt
2:10:53 perfect so this is this is a good
2:10:55 example nice simple one so I can type in
2:11:01 um tell me about quantum
2:11:06 mechanics oh wait and then I think what
2:11:10 you what do you do here hang
2:11:13 on yeah okay if I start if I start my
2:11:16 prompt with the word perfect
2:11:20 and then say tell me about quantum
2:11:25 mechanics oh authorization I guess that
2:11:28 plugin's dead this one of the problem
2:11:30 with plugins a lot of the plugins are
2:11:31 pieces of crap so I think that one's
2:11:33 dead let me try another one here's hey
2:11:36 Jen let's
2:11:38 see text a video tool turn any text into
2:11:42 videos
2:11:44 um please make a
2:11:47 video
2:11:49 about a
2:11:54 turtle
2:11:55 um singing for
2:11:59 supper let's see what this does I
2:12:01 haven't played with this ha Jen thing in
2:12:03 a
2:12:05 while so let's let's actually go look at
2:12:07 what it's doing text once upon a time in
2:12:10 a quiet little so it wrote I said make a
2:12:13 thing about a turtle singing for its
2:12:14 supper it wrote once upon a time in a
2:12:17 quiet little p there was so it's using
2:12:19 chat GPT to write the script and then
2:12:22 it's going over to hey
2:12:24 Jen uh using their plugin to make this
2:12:27 thing and then it here's the link to the
2:12:29 video so now we're going to go over
2:12:32 here and your video is being generated
2:12:34 it's 10%
2:12:36 generated wild and we'll come we'll come
2:12:39 back to that and look at it all right so
2:12:42 that's plugins so plugins and there's
2:12:43 there's like a thousand of them and you
2:12:45 know most of them are crap but there's
2:12:47 there's really interesting ones in there
2:12:48 you can go play with okay the last mode
2:12:51 this is all chat GPT all of this is chat
2:12:54 GPT this is the best $20 deal in the
2:12:57 like in the history of $20 a month
2:13:01 subscriptions so now we've got Dolly 3
2:13:04 so what we're going to do now is we're
2:13:05 going to
2:13:07 go I want you to act as a an
2:13:09 award-winning creative director for a
2:13:12 major Ad Agency and help me come up with
2:13:16 advertising campaigns for a glossy
2:13:22 magazine for my company that
2:13:31 makes Hedgehog hair
2:13:34 clippers
2:13:40 period before we make any visualizations
2:13:43 I want you to give
2:13:46 me five Concepts
2:13:49 for what the print ad might look
2:13:59 [Laughter]
2:14:12 like all right so what did it come up
2:14:15 with
2:14:17 here the the aristocratic Hedgehog
2:14:21 hog Adventure ready Salon day at home
2:14:25 evolution of grooming all right let's do
2:14:27 evolution of grooming all
2:14:30 right I like evolution of grooming can
2:14:33 you now
2:14:34 create a creative
2:14:40 brief where you have complete creative
2:14:43 control and write the brief in such a
2:14:46 way that the art director ctor is going
2:14:49 to know
2:14:50 exactly how to make the image for this
2:14:56 ad and so now it's going to write us a
2:14:58 creative brief and
2:15:02 so what I'm not doing here is writing a
2:15:04 prompt right what I'm doing here is like
2:15:06 what what you would normally do in chat
2:15:08 GPT if you kind of wanted to come up
2:15:09 with some Concepts and typically what
2:15:11 you do is you you probably wouldn't even
2:15:13 go to this level right you'd probably
2:15:15 just jump over to Mid Journey or stay
2:15:18 diffusion or whichever is the tool of
2:15:19 your choice and you'd start writing
2:15:21 prompts about a specific image but
2:15:23 that's not what we're doing here we
2:15:25 we're like collaborating with this thing
2:15:28 to come up with a creative
2:15:30 brief and then all right with this
2:15:33 detailed brief the art director so let's
2:15:35 see what it came up with let's see if
2:15:36 it's any
2:15:38 good objective to showcase the
2:15:40 progression of Hedgehog grooming tools
2:15:42 over the ages emphasizing the
2:15:45 superiority and modernity of our
2:15:48 Hedgehog hair clippers target audience
2:15:50 Hedgehog owners and enthusiasts who are
2:15:52 seeking the best grooming tools for
2:15:54 their pets tone and feel educational
2:15:57 nostalgic nostalgic yet futuristic okay
2:15:59 great so this is this is like typical
2:16:01 creative brief territory visual elements
2:16:05 background a parchment or vintage paper
2:16:07 timeline a horizontal line running from
2:16:09 left to right
2:16:12 um ancient medieval Industrial Age
2:16:15 modern so there's going to be four ages
2:16:16 on this thing the lighting is going to
2:16:18 be soft and
2:16:19 ambient um copy elements the header bold
2:16:24 elegant font stating the evolution of
2:16:26 grooming from Stone Age Simplicity to
2:16:29 Modern
2:16:30 Mastery colors key takeaways
2:16:35 okay now use that brief to create a
2:16:41 landscape
2:16:43 oriented magazine ad worthy of
2:16:49 of GQ
2:16:54 magazine and that's it and now it is
2:16:58 writing the prompts and it will generate
2:17:01 the images India now has AI news anchors
2:17:05 yeah they've had those for for a while I
2:17:07 think they're using some of these uh I
2:17:09 think they might be using did or haen I
2:17:12 think they're using haen as I recall for
2:17:15 the uh for the virtual news anchors
2:17:19 it's crazy it this is all just crazy
2:17:21 people this is all just crazy I don't
2:17:24 know if you knew this but this is all of
2:17:25 this that I'm doing all of this that I'm
2:17:28 doing all of it all of it is just chat
2:17:31 gp4 the 20 bucks a month you get all
2:17:34 these features
2:17:36 now three weeks ago chat GPT was just
2:17:40 words and now it can it can see it can
2:17:47 hear it can talk it can make images it
2:17:52 can execute write and execute
2:17:55 code it's got all the plugins that can
2:17:57 do a bunch of other
2:18:00 [ __ ] and then there's our magazine ad
2:18:04 for Hedgehog
2:18:09 grooming the evolution of grooming
2:18:14 grooming
2:18:17 gran you know and it followed the
2:18:19 creative brief I mean this was
2:18:20 essentially the creative brief it didn't
2:18:22 quite get you know the
2:18:25 four the four areas
2:18:28 but I wasn't even trying right and if
2:18:32 you wanted to fix this you could you
2:18:34 could just say you know actually we can
2:18:36 we can try that we can
2:18:39 say these are cute but I'd like four
2:18:44 distinct sections from left to right a
2:18:48 section representing each of the
2:18:51 eras
2:18:53 period the thing I didn't tell you about
2:18:56 the new grooming tool is that it uses
2:19:00 lasers instead of Steel so make sure
2:19:04 that the fourth section is
2:19:08 futuristic and shows a
2:19:12 laser trimming the Hedgehog
2:19:16 hair
2:19:19 but again
2:19:21 like if I were working with an art
2:19:23 director and they brought me that and I
2:19:24 said well the brief said there should be
2:19:26 four sections and you didn't do four
2:19:27 sections you can just tell that person
2:19:30 go make four sections and you missed the
2:19:32 laser thing did you not read you never
2:19:35 told me that oh right I'm an [ __ ] get
2:19:38 [Laughter]
2:19:42 out oh man alive man man man man man
2:19:48 we'll see what we do see if we get
2:19:50 anything better
2:19:52 [Music]
2:19:53 here submit Lottery winning strategies
2:19:57 yep it would be very good at that shout
2:19:59 out to everyone here in the lab we are
2:20:01 literally the 1% learning how to get
2:20:05 ahead it's
2:20:06 true it's it's true Nexus the a hub UK
2:20:10 government investing in the water sector
2:20:12 oh this is cool it still didn't quite do
2:20:15 four eras but this is this is actually
2:20:18 slick right you got well the Stone Age
2:20:21 shouldn't have scissors in it but you
2:20:22 can Photoshop those out and then you got
2:20:25 the scissor era and then you got the
2:20:26 Clipper era and now you got some sort of
2:20:28 laser ass thing look there's there's
2:20:31 four four four things and then it's just
2:20:36 like I that's not trimming a hedgehog
2:20:39 that is pretty much the aliens are
2:20:41 invading Manhattan but you get the
2:20:45 idea there we go that that finally hit
2:20:49 the mark in some way it's not trimming
2:20:51 the hair it's trimming the nose hair of
2:20:53 the of the
2:20:55 Hedgehog but but just cuckoo isn't it so
2:20:59 that's chat
2:21:00 GPT that's chat
2:21:03 jpt I was today years old when I
2:21:05 realized there is a hedgehog Emoji in my
2:21:12 life that's
2:21:16 awesome oh beam him up trimming the city
2:21:20 of Hedgehog exactly New York Times how
2:21:22 AI increased the graduation rate at John
2:21:25 J College by 32 points
2:21:28 interesting
2:21:30 wow all right
2:21:35 kidos Source Camp
2:21:38 FS let's see if you could only
2:21:42 use Bard or chat oh what would I
2:21:46 use h
2:21:48 H it's a good question
2:21:53 so I have them together on my on my list
2:21:56 as the top two I have chat GPT here and
2:21:59 I have Bard
2:22:01 here Bard right now is nowhere close to
2:22:06 chat GPT not anywhere close but the
2:22:09 reason I have it number two in my list
2:22:12 is
2:22:14 because
2:22:16 um
2:22:19 they're about to release this thing
2:22:20 called
2:22:21 Gemini so Gemini is the internal name of
2:22:24 whatever their next large language model
2:22:26 is they're claiming it's going to be
2:22:28 five times better than chat
2:22:31 gp4 I don't buy it I don't believe yeah
2:22:35 yeah forever hooked thank you for the
2:22:38 glasses um but even if it's as good as
2:22:42 chat
2:22:44 gp4 it's going to be amazing and it's
2:22:46 also going to be multim
2:22:48 and some of the visual um the visual
2:22:52 stuff that Google has released in papers
2:22:55 over the over the summer is really quite
2:22:58 remarkable go look up a paper called
2:23:00 style drop that Google put out it's
2:23:04 insane it's
2:23:06 insane Silver Fox and folks that's Kyle
2:23:10 tell your
2:23:11 friends you can make money
2:23:15 with uh yeah welcome here everybody
2:23:17 looks like we have a bunch of new people
2:23:19 if you'd be willing share the live and
2:23:21 and go follow my channel and all that
2:23:23 happy horse [ __ ] um so I think that Bard
2:23:29 is going to be really really good and
2:23:31 then we're going to have two
2:23:34 two
2:23:36 major tools that can do almost anything
2:23:41 and there's there's okay so so want to
2:23:43 hear another rumor want to hear another
2:23:46 rumor open AI right now so so open AI
2:23:51 has a big developer conference on
2:23:53 November 6th we're we're at October 16th
2:23:56 today is that
2:23:58 right
2:24:00 um they're going to announce some [ __ ]
2:24:03 at their big developer conference
2:24:06 right and they've just released like
2:24:10 these five new features within chat GPT
2:24:13 they do and the browse with Bing came
2:24:16 back and
2:24:18 vision and they rolled out custom
2:24:21 instructions and right they renamed code
2:24:26 interpreter to advanc data
2:24:29 analysis you would think that that kind
2:24:32 of stuff is stuff that they would
2:24:33 announce at their developer conference
2:24:35 right if it was the new stuff it's not
2:24:37 the new stuff the stuff that they're
2:24:39 giving us right now is the [ __ ] that
2:24:41 they've been testing all
2:24:43 summer the new
2:24:46 [ __ ] apparent apparently there's there's
2:24:48 something within open AI right now
2:24:50 called arus a r r i k a i
2:24:55 think that is supposed to be like the
2:24:58 next
2:25:00 thing so so you got all this [ __ ] that
2:25:03 open AI just put out that I I still
2:25:05 can't get my head around all of like not
2:25:07 not even all of what you can do I can't
2:25:09 get my head
2:25:10 around the the thinnest layer of
2:25:13 possibility of what you can do with chat
2:25:15 GPT right now and and then Google is
2:25:18 going to try to preempt the open aai
2:25:20 developer conference so sometime between
2:25:22 now and November 6th I would assume
2:25:24 we're going to see Gemini sometime in
2:25:27 October and then November 6th happens
2:25:30 and we're going to see whatever the [ __ ]
2:25:32 new thing that open AI is going to tell
2:25:34 us we'll see mid 2024 and it's it's
2:25:37 going to be insane and then November
2:25:40 1st 5 days before the open AI conference
2:25:44 Microsoft is releasing co-pilot into
2:25:46 office 36 65 so you're going to have
2:25:48 chat gp4 inside Microsoft Office right
2:25:53 word excel um PowerPoint um Outlook all
2:25:58 that [ __ ] is going to have chat gbt
2:26:01 integrated inside it and connected
2:26:05 together I know champ I know you want to
2:26:09 go out what do you want to do come
2:26:16 on
2:26:22 I
2:26:24 mean how are we supposed to keep up with
2:26:26 this people it's
2:26:30 exhausting it's really
2:26:33 exhausting all right do you think prompt
2:26:35 engineering writing will be a future
2:26:37 career so J silow um it's a great
2:26:41 question I think it's very very
2:26:43 important right
2:26:46 now to learn it
2:26:50 and not because I think you're going to
2:26:52 need it all that
2:26:54 much if if you're a developer if you're
2:26:57 an engineer and you're working on
2:26:58 backend stuff I think you're going to
2:27:00 need to know prompting but even then I
2:27:02 think we're going to get prompt
2:27:04 development tools that are going to get
2:27:06 incredibly sophisticated so I don't
2:27:09 think it's a long-term requirement but I
2:27:12 think
2:27:13 that learning prompting right now is
2:27:17 kind of the equivalent of why we still
2:27:18 learn how to add and subtract and divide
2:27:21 and multiply on paper right do you
2:27:25 really need to learn how to add and
2:27:26 subtract with today's computers no but
2:27:30 we want you to understand the concept
2:27:32 that when you have these three objects
2:27:33 and then you subtract two of them you
2:27:36 have one right we want you to understand
2:27:37 the
2:27:38 concept because the tools are so limited
2:27:41 right now and relatively simple now's a
2:27:44 really good time to understand like the
2:27:47 difference between a Google prompt like
2:27:51 a Google search prompt and a chat GPT
2:27:54 prompt are night and day it's the same
2:27:57 open box right but when you what Google
2:28:01 has taught us over the years is just put
2:28:03 in the minimum amount of words that that
2:28:06 are that are keyw wordy enough for us to
2:28:09 search on because you if you over
2:28:11 populate a Google search it just it you
2:28:14 get back garbage right so they've taught
2:28:16 us minimal input if you put minimal
2:28:20 input into chat GPT you get back [ __ ]
2:28:22 you get back high
2:28:24 hallucination generic [ __ ] and that's
2:28:27 one of the reasons that people
2:28:29 sour to chat GPT early is they put in
2:28:33 like write me a poem and it writes a
2:28:35 shitty poem because there's no there's
2:28:38 no Direction there there's no
2:28:41 context so understanding that the way
2:28:45 these large language models work they
2:28:47 need context they they're like an idiot
2:28:49 savant where they've they've memorized
2:28:52 all of the world's information so they
2:28:54 know it all but they're just dumb as a
2:28:58 rock so you have to go okay chat GPT I
2:29:02 want you to act like an architect and
2:29:05 then I want you to be really good at
2:29:07 like the measurements and the Angles and
2:29:09 plumbing and the wiring and like the
2:29:11 walls I don't know anything about the
2:29:12 walls but you know the walls and then
2:29:16 and then I'm going to come up with a
2:29:17 house idea and I want you to help me
2:29:18 come up with a house idea and you tell
2:29:21 it all this [ __ ] and then you say could
2:29:24 you come up with a concept for my living
2:29:26 room and it will and it'll be
2:29:29 good so like understanding that it is a
2:29:33 fundamentally different thing that's
2:29:35 happening I think is really important
2:29:37 right now because for the next 18 months
2:29:41 you're going to need to have some skills
2:29:42 to be able to navigate these different
2:29:44 tools and then what's going to happen is
2:29:46 just like some of the stuff I showed in
2:29:48 chat gbt here it's going to start
2:29:50 prompting itself and when it starts
2:29:52 prompting itself then you just need to
2:29:53 kind of give it
2:29:55 directions so
2:29:58 um the the a lot of the hype around you
2:30:01 know prompt Engineers are going to make
2:30:03 $900,000 a
2:30:05 year I don't think PE I don't think
2:30:07 companies are going to need prompt
2:30:09 Engineers I think they're going to need
2:30:11 AI literate people who have lots of
2:30:13 different kinds of skills but almost all
2:30:15 of those skills are critical thinking
2:30:16 skills s because the Tactical execution
2:30:19 is going to be done increasingly by
2:30:23 AI so what's left horizontal thinking
2:30:26 and critical thinking is what chat GPT
2:30:29 gave me any good I don't know let me
2:30:31 analyze it let me think about it here's
2:30:33 what we're trying to do as a business
2:30:34 here's what it gave me is that any good
2:30:37 that's
2:30:40 this open AI dropped work on new araus
2:30:45 AI model in rare
2:30:48 setback wait open AI dropped
2:30:52 work in rare setback I don't know what
2:30:56 that means tonius that's a weird
2:30:57 headline what's the setback I don't know
2:31:00 what dropped work
2:31:04 means
2:31:06 um there was some someone said someone
2:31:10 said um in an interview with Sam wman um
2:31:13 the other day there was some rumor that
2:31:14 like open AI has cracked AGI
2:31:17 and Sam Alman said calm down
2:31:20 people I don't think they're close to
2:31:22 AGI but uh I don't know what racus is
2:31:25 but we I mean I like I don't know
2:31:27 anything other than people have been
2:31:28 sort of talking about it but they're
2:31:30 probably going to announce something on
2:31:31 November 6th that's more than the [ __ ]
2:31:33 we've seen creating safe AGI that
2:31:36 benefits all of humanity that we're
2:31:38 going to need to do why is Tobias muted
2:31:41 I don't
2:31:42 know he shouldn't be muted did somebody
2:31:44 mute
2:31:45 Tobias
2:31:47 Dum Dums I'll go unmute him hang
2:31:54 on he shouldn't be muted hang
2:31:57 on oh thank you for the hearty
2:32:01 Hearts where do I go
2:32:07 settings
2:32:10 moderators I don't have Tobias
2:32:13 in in as a moderator we should
2:32:22 all right Tobias is now in as a
2:32:24 moderator how do
2:32:26 I hang
2:32:35 [Music]
2:32:40 on that is open ai's new mission
2:32:42 statement oh yeah the oh the AGI thing
2:32:45 yeah
2:32:48 oracus is their effort to approach AGI
2:32:50 brings a wide range of AI capabilities
2:32:52 yep have you gotten access to Google's
2:32:54 image generator I see all the articles
2:32:57 about it but can't use it I haven't yet
2:32:59 no if it's anything like style drop let
2:33:01 me let me show you a style drop th this
2:33:03 paper was amazing and I don't know where
2:33:05 this is I don't know why it's not out
2:33:07 but maybe it's part of
2:33:11 Gemini um style drop Google
2:33:19 [Music]
2:33:27 [Music]
2:33:33 I want the actual paper
2:33:35 people where is it where is it where are
2:33:40 you is this
2:33:45 it whoa whoa whoa whoa
2:33:49 whoa nope that might be it but I don't
2:33:52 know how to look for it
2:33:57 [Music]
2:34:00 here style drop
2:34:03 Google oh here we go this
2:34:08 it yes okay so check this
2:34:15 out
2:34:17 this is just amazing
2:34:19 okay so you upload this
2:34:24 image and so it's a kid's drawing right
2:34:27 on wrinkly paper with with crappy
2:34:29 watercolors and all of
2:34:32 these are just prompts right so a banana
2:34:36 in that style a penguin in that style an
2:34:39 F1 race car in that style okay so so
2:34:42 what they do here is they they keep the
2:34:45 prompts the same and we can just flip
2:34:47 through these different styles so
2:34:50 uploading a single
2:34:52 image like pay attention to the hat and
2:34:55 the Moose well actually the like this
2:34:57 row right here and just watch how
2:35:01 stylistically
2:35:02 different this thing makes these things
2:35:04 based on on the source
2:35:07 image so there's Starry Starry KN right
2:35:09 look at that hat like that's totally Van
2:35:15 Go
2:35:22 and this is like that 90s icon style
2:35:24 remember this style like look at the
2:35:26 Moose like like that's totally spot-on
2:35:28 in that style so's the
2:35:30 car right it's not in 3/4 view anymore
2:35:33 it's profile like these are all in
2:35:35 profile they're really simple right and
2:35:38 look at that look at that one look at
2:35:40 the hat like look at that look
2:35:43 there I mean this stuff's amazing look
2:35:46 at the
2:35:49 stickers open AI scrapped a racus launch
2:35:52 after the model didn't run as
2:35:54 efficiently as they thought oh
2:35:55 interesting all right so maybe um even
2:35:59 pinned I'm jumping up and down nothing
2:36:00 can be
2:36:07 done
2:36:09 um didn't run as efficiently as they
2:36:12 expected oh that's interesting they
2:36:13 scrapped it all right so maybe November
2:36:15 6th won't be as exciting as I thought
2:36:17 but anyway this is style drop so if
2:36:19 anything even remotely like this is in
2:36:23 Gemini
2:36:25 then you know open AI has some major
2:36:28 [ __ ] competition cuz this is Google
2:36:30 like Google has been embarrassed for for
2:36:34 the past year cuz the the chat jpt thing
2:36:37 blew up so hard and they invented this
2:36:39 [ __ ] and every time they made a release
2:36:43 of something it was
2:36:44 crap their current Bard is not crap
2:36:47 their current Bard's actually pretty
2:36:49 good so it's gotten a lot better over
2:36:51 the year but it's like it's not anywhere
2:36:53 near the neighborhood of
2:36:55 gp4
2:36:58 so yeah style drop yeah that was style
2:37:01 drop so it's not out yet that I know oh
2:37:05 I could use that for modding icon packs
2:37:07 for my phone yep exactly exactly exactly
2:37:12 exactly welcome everybody sherar thank
2:37:14 you very much welcome uh to the lab I
2:37:17 know there's a lot of new people here my
2:37:18 name's Kyle Shannon this is the AI
2:37:20 learning lab I've been at this for like
2:37:21 three hours tonight so if my voice is
2:37:23 sounding crispy and I look exhausted
2:37:26 it's cuz my voice is crispy and I'm
2:37:32 exhausted you can make money
2:37:36 with um yeah so if you have questions
2:37:39 feel free to pop them in the comments
2:37:41 below I'm actually going to go show a
2:37:43 couple of things here just uh cuz it's
2:37:46 it's
2:37:47 important it's
2:37:50 important so the first one is if you
2:37:53 have not played with chat GPT just go
2:37:55 there right now go to chat. open.com and
2:37:59 start playing play until you have your
2:38:01 Kevin McAllister moment which is
2:38:04 this remember home
2:38:06 alone everyone that plays with this that
2:38:09 I have you know in introduced to this in
2:38:12 some way or reintroduced to it has that
2:38:15 moment and once you have that moment
2:38:17 it's like red pill Matrix [ __ ] where you
2:38:20 can't unsee it you can't unlearn it and
2:38:22 you realize that the world will never be
2:38:25 the same here's the thing about these
2:38:27 tools the world has completely changed
2:38:30 but most people don't know it yet that's
2:38:32 that's happened like this is past tense
2:38:36 but most people don't know it
2:38:37 yet but go play with that until you have
2:38:40 that moment and and and and then you
2:38:43 enter the rabbit hole that you can't
2:38:45 escape um the other thing is um if
2:38:48 you're interested in joining a community
2:38:50 of
2:38:51 weirdos Miss cran and Nero Wells um join
2:38:55 the AI salon so we meet every other week
2:38:57 we meet physically here in Denver and
2:38:59 then we meet um
2:39:02 online every other week so next Tuesday
2:39:05 is our next meeting and we have an
2:39:07 online Discord server if the if the link
2:39:09 to that Discord is broken there you can
2:39:12 also there's a link to to the Discord in
2:39:14 my profile uh link
2:39:18 tree um but go there and you can ask
2:39:20 questions you can hang out with us and
2:39:22 and geek out we we started guilds three
2:39:25 weeks ago so we've got an Art Guild a
2:39:27 writing Guild a business Guild an
2:39:30 entrepreneur Guild and an ai101 Guild
2:39:32 and then we just added AI mechanics so
2:39:35 getting under the hood of AI so we now
2:39:37 have six
2:39:39 guilds
2:39:41 um and uh yeah go do that go do that and
2:39:45 by the story Vine down there that's my
2:39:47 company that's that's my
2:39:49 company and what else uh subscribe to
2:39:53 the channel follow me follow me follow
2:39:55 me follow me do you remember Oddworld
2:39:58 that was a great
2:39:59 game follow
2:40:07 me a muted Ninja Turtle that's pretty
2:40:15 funny
2:40:21 [Music]
2:40:24 I loved Oddworld cam katkin from
2:40:26 Cleveland wasn't Oddworld the best like
2:40:28 the sound effects on it and just the
2:40:31 farts and the hilarity um check to see
2:40:33 us she see if Tobias is muted please how
2:40:37 do
2:40:39 I I don't know how to find
2:40:43 him old guy trying to learn Tik tock
2:40:47 we got a problem people 135 oh here we
2:40:49 go oh that's top viewers well Tobias
2:40:52 should certainly be in top
2:40:58 viewers why can I not search this come
2:41:01 on Tick
2:41:09 Tock this AI does not seem to Earth
2:41:13 shaking from what you showed I must be
2:41:15 missing something something I don't know
2:41:17 which AI you're talking about and I
2:41:19 don't know what you're trying to do
2:41:20 Troy if you give me a little more detail
2:41:24 I mean listen it might not be Earth
2:41:26 shaking
2:41:28 um I don't know what you're trying to
2:41:36 do you might be used to things being
2:41:39 able to write you a business plan in 20
2:41:42 seconds it's
2:41:44 possible
2:41:47 wait there's Tobias can i h no let's see
2:41:52 uh hang on let me go see if I can find
2:41:54 Tobias in here can I click on a user
2:42:05 yes oh he's muted of course I'm not
2:42:07 going to be able to find him in the
2:42:08 comments he's muted who muted
2:42:11 Tobias you evil
2:42:14 people why did mods even pin Choice
2:42:17 comment not necessary that's okay I
2:42:19 don't mind
2:42:21 that I don't mind whatever the comments
2:42:23 are I don't mind them um but I do mind
2:42:26 that Tobias is muted so I'm trying to
2:42:30 find how I do that anyone do you know
2:42:32 how I fix this
2:42:34 [ __ ] my brain froze like Mitch McConnell
2:42:37 the first time I logged into chat gbt
2:42:40 yeah exactly you're like oh this is just
2:42:44 like
2:42:47 exactly show us the list of sites again
2:42:50 please
2:42:55 okay all right so get ready to
2:42:58 screenshot I'm going to get out of here
2:42:59 soon so this is the last time I'm going
2:43:01 to do this tonight so this is my list of
2:43:05 um this is my list of [ __ ] you should
2:43:08 pay attention to and this is not um I'm
2:43:10 not partnered with these any of these
2:43:14 like this I don't if you go to these not
2:43:16 it it's no skin off my back these are
2:43:18 this is kind of the order that I'm pay
2:43:20 paying attention to this stuff in so
2:43:21 this is generally an order of of
2:43:24 preference but for the most part for
2:43:26 each of these little tables so these are
2:43:28 the top four open Ai and Bard Bard's
2:43:30 about to get really good open AI is
2:43:32 already staggeringly good worth the 20
2:43:35 bucks um this is free right now Claude
2:43:39 is really good you can do super long
2:43:41 prompts there and Bing is free but the
2:43:44 safety guard rails are so bad that it's
2:43:46 it's annoying it's it's just annoying um
2:43:49 this is the kids table so pie and go get
2:43:52 the IOS app of Pi and put it in
2:43:55 conversation mode it's really good at if
2:43:57 you want to have a conversation with an
2:43:58 Internet connected large language model
2:44:01 this thing's wild um perplexity doai and
2:44:05 labs. perplexity doai worth your time
2:44:08 Tobias wait not trying to be rude at all
2:44:11 my apologies you weren't you weren't
2:44:12 rude Troy at all I just just be more
2:44:14 just be more um specific about what
2:44:17 you're trying to do and what wasn't good
2:44:19 um there's champy did you go out did you
2:44:22 go out good boy yes um and po.com is
2:44:26 kind of fun
2:44:29 um let's see
2:44:33 um um for image generation screenshot
2:44:36 this so bing.com create um that's Bing's
2:44:41 version of Dolly 3 but Dolly 3 is also
2:44:44 being rolled into to chat gp4 it's being
2:44:47 rolled out for anyone who's a plus
2:44:48 member if you don't have it yet it'll be
2:44:50 coming it's it's coming soon mid journey
2:44:52 is really good for artists but you have
2:44:55 to do it in Discord and it's a pain in
2:44:57 the ass and now that Do's gotten so good
2:44:59 and depending on what happens with
2:45:01 Google I think mid Journey's in trouble
2:45:03 from a competition standpoint um
2:45:05 ideogram good but fading um Adobe really
2:45:10 good and getting stronger they are
2:45:11 aggressively going after generative Ai
2:45:13 and they're doing it in an ethical way
2:45:15 in a really smart way I think what
2:45:17 adobe's up to is really
2:45:19 smart moving pictures videos Runway ml
2:45:23 Runway ml is now embedded in canva so if
2:45:27 you use the video generation tool in
2:45:30 canva that's actually Runway ml's
2:45:32 technology hey Jen's video translation
2:45:35 is
2:45:36 mindblowing Skybox blad labs.com is
2:45:41 really impressive although not all that
2:45:44 technically interesting
2:45:46 yet but but really beautiful you can
2:45:48 make 3D worlds that you can spin around
2:45:50 just it's text to 3D world it's really
2:45:54 interesting um and then the final little
2:45:56 bit those are the tools that I play with
2:45:59 regularly there are like 5,000 more
2:46:02 tools at futur
2:46:14 pedia.com Rachel woods with the AI
2:46:17 exchange who's also worth following I
2:46:19 think I need to put her on the list
2:46:21 because these are three three white
2:46:24 guys there's plenty of us um so Rachel
2:46:28 Woods on Tik Tok the AI exchange is
2:46:30 someone you should follow she's wicked
2:46:32 smart and is doing kind of AI applied to
2:46:35 business in a in a in a quite smart way
2:46:38 and she does workshops and all sorts of
2:46:40 happy horse [ __ ] like that all right so
2:46:43 those are the those are the big things
2:46:45 um and then the AI Salon the salon. a is
2:46:48 the URL um join that join us follow
2:46:54 me cool right yay you did it
2:46:59 yay all right let's
2:47:05 see do you have anything with mid
2:47:07 journey I don't know what you mean do I
2:47:09 have anything with mid Journey yes he
2:47:11 does have stuff with mid Journey all the
2:47:13 time oh like do I do stuff in mid
2:47:14 Journey yeah
2:47:16 yeah I
2:47:17 [Music]
2:47:19 do psychic medium thank you for the
2:47:22 cruises very very nice I do appreciate
2:47:25 it I appreciate it
2:47:29 quietly this is all just me sitting here
2:47:33 night after night in the lab but Kyle it
2:47:36 looks like a janky home office you
2:47:44 think
2:47:47 do you have links to whichever of these
2:47:50 have Android apps I don't I don't I'm an
2:47:54 iOS guy
2:47:56 um the the the Android app world is just
2:48:01 beyond me because there's so many Faker
2:48:03 [ __ ] you know scam apps on Android
2:48:06 it's one of the but although Apple's got
2:48:08 a bunch of them too I there's just no
2:48:10 good way to deal with that first hour
2:48:13 tonight was all mid Journey practically
2:48:14 yeah we did spend a lot of time on Mid
2:48:16 journey tonight um I use free open AI
2:48:19 nice very
2:48:21 good um I don't see any reason to pay
2:48:26 what does it do so psychic medium so I
2:48:30 just went through
2:48:32 so so free chat GPT is good it's good
2:48:35 and fast 3.5 is good but I just I I went
2:48:38 through you must have come on just right
2:48:40 after I did it
2:48:41 um chat gp4 if you pay the 20 bucks for
2:48:45 plus you get access to all the new [ __ ]
2:48:48 but they just released browse with Bing
2:48:51 Vision so you can upload images and it
2:48:53 can read and an analyze um
2:48:58 images Advanced Data analysis plugins
2:49:01 and Dolly 3 all of those are available
2:49:04 only within chat GPT plus it it's like
2:49:08 the best deal for for for a technology
2:49:12 subscription what you get with those
2:49:14 different modes is staggering to me um
2:49:17 it's it's Way Beyond it's multimodal
2:49:19 right you can make images you can read
2:49:22 images you can you know analyze
2:49:25 spreadsheets and it's anyway so I didn't
2:49:30 used to recommend paying the 20 bucks to
2:49:32 open AI but now I do because it's
2:49:35 there's just there's nothing out there
2:49:36 even close to it right now my bedtime
2:49:39 reminder got to got to go to bed my my
2:49:43 iOS is yelling at me um I use for my
2:49:47 dreams are there any code completion
2:49:50 tools that are run locally so as not to
2:49:53 leak my proprietary code ye uh there's
2:49:57 what's it called open open
2:50:01 interpreter is out there right now but I
2:50:04 but I think it's only doing um code
2:50:07 interpreting at at a system level I just
2:50:10 go look up open interpreter so that's
2:50:12 something that you install on your
2:50:14 machine but I think it's just
2:50:20 running go look at open open interpreter
2:50:24 cuz I think open interpreter is one that
2:50:26 does that kind of code interpretation
2:50:29 stuff
2:50:33 um okay thank you for explaining I'm 60
2:50:36 and new to it and use it for
2:50:37 interpretation of my dreams oh yeah yeah
2:50:41 um so another thing that you might want
2:50:45 to play around with psychic medium is
2:50:49 um go check out Claude
2:50:52 claw. because it can do really long
2:50:55 documents so if you've ever been in chat
2:50:57 gbt and you try to give it a document
2:50:59 and it's like I can't deal with this
2:51:01 it's too long it's I just I'm a listen I
2:51:04 didn't train for a marathon okay so um
2:51:09 Claude can take like 50,000 words as in
2:51:13 the prompt so if you have any really
2:51:14 long documents or a whole series of
2:51:16 dreams that you want to put in you can
2:51:18 do that in Claude um Claude has a free
2:51:21 version as well they just kind of rate
2:51:23 limit you if you're doing a bunch of
2:51:24 long searches
2:51:27 um but I'll tell you what if you're
2:51:30 doing dream
2:51:31 interpreting this could be good you
2:51:33 could either if if you ever draw images
2:51:36 from your dreams the vision could
2:51:40 interpret you know your your drawings uh
2:51:44 or if you have clients drawings um but
2:51:47 also you could take your dreams and put
2:51:50 it in do actually let's go do that let's
2:51:53 go do
2:51:54 that this going to be fun all right
2:51:56 psychic medium here's so you want to
2:51:59 know why you should pay the 20
2:52:01 bucks here's why all right so so here's
2:52:05 all these different modes I was talking
2:52:07 about right so you got your default mode
2:52:08 that's the one with vision in it so if
2:52:10 you go to default you can upload an
2:52:12 image and it'll see it this is connected
2:52:14 to the internet that's that data
2:52:15 analysis thing plugins or plugins
2:52:18 they're Whatever Dolly 3 so I'm going to
2:52:20 I'm in Dolly 3 mode so I'm going to
2:52:25 say you are an expert dream
2:52:30 analyst and I want you to help
2:52:33 [Music]
2:52:35 me understand my dreams and once we have
2:52:38 a good sense of what's going on I want
2:52:41 you to help me visualize them period I
2:52:44 had a dream
2:52:46 last
2:52:47 night that I was in a rowboat in a small
2:52:51 Muddy
2:52:54 Pond on a moonlit
2:52:57 night and I was rowing away from the
2:53:02 shore and as I pulled on the ores I
2:53:06 noticed that the flat part of the boat
2:53:09 was facing in the direction I was rowing
2:53:13 towards and
2:53:16 the water piled up behind the boat as I
2:53:19 pulled the
2:53:21 OES and the muddy water of the pond
2:53:24 swallowed me up and I knew I had
2:53:33 drowned then I woke up in a
2:53:42 panic what does it mean
2:53:51 Robo and pond Robo can symbolize
2:53:54 personal
2:53:55 effort using your own Str strength to
2:53:58 navigate life rowing in the wrong
2:54:00 direction the fact that the flat part of
2:54:02 the boat was facing in the wrong
2:54:04 direction suggests a sense of resistance
2:54:07 or going against the natural order of
2:54:09 things this could imply that you feel
2:54:10 you're working against the flow in some
2:54:12 part of your life water piling up and
2:54:14 drowning water in dreams often
2:54:16 symbolizes emotions blah blah blah blah
2:54:18 blah waking up in a panic okay so pretty
2:54:21 cool now look now would you like me to
2:54:24 create a visualization of this dream for
2:54:27 you yes and make it dark and
2:54:30 Moody
2:54:33 and make it landscape
2:54:39 orientation and so now it's going to go
2:54:41 bring that crap to Life we'll see how it
2:54:45 does be interesting to see cuz that it's
2:54:48 a fairly
2:54:49 mundane Dream from a visual perspective
2:54:52 but we'll see what it does it's off
2:54:54 writing image prompts right now right
2:54:56 it's it didn't take exactly what we
2:54:58 talked about up there but it's taking
2:55:01 all of that so so this is generating
2:55:03 images in the context of a
2:55:05 conversation it's insane well we'll see
2:55:09 how good it
2:55:13 is
2:55:22 that's
2:55:26 creepy these boats don't have a flat
2:55:29 back
2:55:33 end so I'm going to
2:55:39 say those robow boats don't have a flat
2:55:42 back end and the image should be of the
2:55:46 water piling up and
2:55:49 subsuming the robo and the
2:55:56 person we try one more
2:55:59 here the flat part of the boat uh you
2:56:02 know in a rowboat well you may not they
2:56:04 they have a flat the transom where you
2:56:06 put where you attach the motor it's flat
2:56:09 so if you're rowing against that the
2:56:10 water piles up against it that was a
2:56:13 real dream I had in college I was I was
2:56:15 like I was like burning all nighters for
2:56:20 like like a week and a half in a
2:56:24 row I just wasn't getting enough sleep I
2:56:26 was really stressed and uh that was a
2:56:29 dream like it was the most it was the
2:56:31 most literal dream I'd ever had was just
2:56:34 clear that it was like like oh I know
2:56:36 exactly what's going on
2:56:39 here yeah that's it see the the flat
2:56:42 part of the boat but I was in the middle
2:56:44 thing I was
2:56:48 rowing yeah that's
2:56:53 right that's still the wrong boat like
2:56:55 these are
2:56:57 ocean these are like dingies from Big
2:57:00 Ships that's that's more of the row
2:57:02 booat it was it was even smaller than
2:57:04 that but
2:57:06 anyway cool cool huh so there's
2:57:10 something there I think that's worth 20
2:57:12 bucks a
2:57:13 month
2:57:19 [Music]
2:57:22 that's wild wow yeah exactly isn't it
2:57:24 psychic medium it's just
2:57:26 like it's like come
2:57:30 on the the other thing psychic medium
2:57:32 that you can't know unless you play with
2:57:35 it
2:57:37 is the language Nuance of GPT 4 versus
2:57:43 GPT 3.5 is like it's it's not even in
2:57:47 the same neighborhood so even though 3.5
2:57:49 is really really good four is on another
2:57:52 level and just like from a mathematical
2:57:56 standpoint um GPT 3.5 is 175 billion
2:58:00 parameters and you're like what are
2:58:02 parameters doesn't [ __ ]
2:58:04 matter um GPT 4 is 1.8 trillion so it's
2:58:09 like 11 times
2:58:12 more [ __ ]
2:58:15 and and gp4 is also this thing
2:58:19 called
2:58:22 um something of experts um it's
2:58:26 basically eight different models I think
2:58:29 it's eight eight or eight or
2:58:31 10 so so so GPT 3.5 is like one massive
2:58:36 model that's 175 billion parameters and
2:58:38 then gp4 is like 10 180 billion
2:58:43 parameter models that are each like one
2:58:45 specializes in programming one
2:58:48 specializes in whatever literature like
2:58:50 I don't know what the 10 experts are but
2:58:52 when you do your prompt gp4 is like
2:58:56 going to like the
2:58:58 best core models to bring you your
2:59:01 answer so it's wild it's just crazy so
2:59:05 anyway um yeah but listen here's the
2:59:09 deal if thank you very much if um if 3.5
2:59:13 is doing you fine you don't need to
2:59:14 change anything but you know there's
2:59:16 some there's some other [ __ ] you can
2:59:18 play with that might be fun for your
2:59:20 business what short cut is your
2:59:22 microphone speech to text please it's
2:59:24 just on on a Mac it's it's function five
2:59:27 it's the one with the little microphone
2:59:29 on it I think you have to turn it on in
2:59:32 accessibility um ah thanks ain't a boat
2:59:36 person um the flat part of the boat that
2:59:40 really happened to me wow that's
2:59:42 terrifying it's [ __ ] scary it was it
2:59:46 was really scary cuz I was pulling and I
2:59:47 was like okay I'm getting there and I
2:59:49 was pulling away from Shore and then it
2:59:50 just
2:59:51 went and the water
2:59:54 went around me it's
2:59:57 crazy
2:59:58 um all right psychic medium needs to
3:00:01 explore go explore Denise
3:00:04 Lee do it you'll have fun I predict
3:00:09 you'll have fun um all right everyone
