43. 8:23which is 11 and 1/2 years old and does not use it does not primarily use AI to do what it does um we figured out how to do it the

49. 9:43early days of the worldwide web and the parallels that I'm seeing with this here AI stuff are insane it's crazy it's crazy crazy crazy
50. 9:54share a day how howy violence violence against burgers exactly you know burgers were cows once too I feel
51. 10:06triggered they did studies that showed the potatoes have emotions are you going to eat those fries could I have
52. 10:17some all right so here's what we'll do got a few folks in here welcome um if you are new to this generative AI stuff you if you were
53. 10:28scrolling along and you were like uh uh is that Tom Arnold or Rosie O'Donnell who is that uh and you just stumbled in
54. 10:36here and you're like oh God this is about AI I got to learn [ __ ] I'm not technical I hate this who are you what
55. 10:44are your qualifications if you're anywhere in that neighborhood welcome you don't need to be technical with this stuff you can be the the uh
56. 10:53the the popular press would make it seem that you have to be a full-on [ __ ] rocket scientist now listen if you want
57. 11:00to actually make AI then yeah be a [ __ ] rocket scientist you know go work on tpus at Google like Pate who's
58. 11:10in here a lot um but if you just want to use these tools that's what this channel is about right so so the inflection
59. 11:17point that started on November 30th 2022 which is the launch of chat GPT for me that marks the the the moment when the
60. 11:29AI industry kind of begins or or kind of splits right where prior to that moment you just had to be you know a scientist
61. 11:37an engineer a a programmer a mathematician after that moment you can be anyone right people are using chat GPT to write books for their kids
62. 11:49personalized books for their kids they're using it to do project plans for their business right so if you're if
63. 11:55you're in this camp and you've never played with this stuff what I want you to [Music] do is I want you to go right

69. 12:56know it's amazing um you know know I grew up I grew up in in a generation that lived a good chunk of my life
70. 13:05without the internet and then a good chunk of my life with it and it always blew my mind that there were kids that
71. 13:10grew up where it was always there it was always on and you know anyone that's kind of five or under you know right now
72. 13:19is going to grow up their entire life with generative Ai and whatever the hell it becomes right it's just going to get
73. 13:26more and more and more you know fast and fluid and magical um we're we're going to be those old people going and in my day you actually
74. 13:36had to launch this thing called Photoshop and you had to had to push pixels around the screen you did it with
75. 13:43a shovel and a and a rake and a and if you if you were well off and really knew how to use Photoshop you could use a
76. 13:50Toro lawn tractor to to to mow those pixels down oh what's a what's a lawn tractor uh right we don't have Lawns anymore
77. 14:01anyway we're going to be those people in my day oh man okay so I'll go through so get ready to do some screenshotting so
78. 14:16if if you're new to the channel here I'm going to I'm going to walk through four or five slides that I'm not going to
79. 14:20explain a bunch of stuff because there's so much stuff what I'm about to show you these are all sites and AI tools that I
80. 14:27think are worth you spending time on right now if you want to learn this AI stuff if you want to get curious about
81. 14:34it so this is the adults tables these are the big four chat jbt Bard Claude and Bing the the notable thing I'll talk
82. 14:42about here is Claude you can put really long posts in right you can take a whole 50,000-word novel and either paste it
83. 14:49into Claude or upload it to Claude and then start interacting with that novel it'll read the whole novel and you could
84. 14:55write a synopsis or you could write a I don't know the first scene of a screenplay adaptation for it or have it
85. 15:02do some copy editing doesn't matter it's really good for that okay the kids table is pi um labs. perplexity which is
86. 15:12meta llama 2 models someone earlier said why you know why are you ignoring llama I don't know why that was said but
87. 15:20that's llama right there and then pose good for image generation you got Dolly 3 which is amazing I'll probably demo that some
88. 15:30tonight you got mid journey I also might demo just to show the difference between having to work in Discord and
89. 15:37not um ideogram cool interesting can do text on the images uh Firefly from Adobe is safe for corporate work and getting
90. 15:48better and better all the time they just added um generative drawing inside Adobe Illustrator which is it's pretty solid
91. 15:57it's well no it's not pretty solid it's janky it's janky like all the tools it's janky but you can describe an icon and
92. 16:06it'll make an icon right an illustrator um which is which is pretty amazing um these are your video tools essentially
93. 16:14or voice translation tools so Runway ml will do um uh text to video image to video there's there's another one I
94. 16:25think I might swap out runway for for uh p ABS uh which one does your taxes there are probably some that do your taxes you
95. 16:34could probably also use code interpreter inside chat GPT um to read tax documents and do analysis on them but I don't I don't
96. 16:45know let me let me show you one other thing that might be good for you to go find something go to futurepedia doio I
97. 16:52went there today they there's more than 5,000 AI tools there I would look up Financial tools there's probably
98. 16:59something that does your taxes in there is my guess um with the tax stuff I would still double or triple check it with an
99. 17:09accountant if you're relying on AI because the AI stuff's just so uh so unreliable right now it's all janky um
100. 17:17so that's that and then these three guys Ethan mik David Shapiro and Paul rater are people I strongly suggest you should
101. 17:24follow Ethan molik Wharton business school Professor brilliant post sunl LED in all the time post on Twitter all the
102. 17:30time has that blog um David Shapiro mad genius fourth Industrial Revolution AGI open- Source dude will will make you feel intellectually
103. 17:44puny and then Paul rer nice guy been at this generative AI stuff around marketing for like five years now which
104. 17:52is astounding cuz I've only been aware of it for like 3 years and he started the marketing AI Institute 5 years ago
105. 17:59so the dude is on top of it um and just really thoughtfully it does a weekly uh podcast that I listen to every week one
106. 18:07of the things people um often ask me is but Kyle how do you keep up with this stuff I just told you go to the Twitter
107. 18:15follow cool people find these people follow them and then follow who they follow that's a good trick for making your Twitter suck

137. 23:24um look at 11 labs for The Voice synthesis stuff um I think the um the film making within canva right now the ability to generate
138. 23:39video canva has incorporated Runway ml into canva tools so I think you can with your with your canva subscription you
139. 23:49can do runway ml things without having a separate Runway ml subscription um so anyway any who in here so what are your
140. 24:05qualifications we would like to know sir sir sir yes what are your qualifications um best basic AI for

143. 24:36chat GPT is the best one to start with Prague is on the dream list I got to tell you I'm I've I've traveled a fair amount um
144. 24:46I don't enjoy traveling a lot um Prague was [ __ ] amazing like it's got you know har har Potter castles like
145. 24:59castles that that you expect dragons to fly out of them actually our Tech team is based in um one of those castles the
146. 25:07the offices are actually in one of the churches that's one of those big giant crazy ass cathedrals in the in the Town Square
147. 25:16um but it's it's just an amazing like the people are super friendly um it's it's um you know super welcoming like
148. 25:28super ancient and super modern at the same time which which throws you because it's ancient in the way like when you go
149. 25:36to Disney World and you're like oh this is based on some Castle somewhere and then in Prague you're like this is
150. 25:42like like it's like you're in Disney World but you're like oh no these are the real things like this is where they
151. 25:49got those ideas it's like wow there it's it's an amazing place I loved it I loved it I would absolutely go back to Prague
152. 25:57and in that in fact I think I will I'm working on a project right now for one of our Pharma clients and I might need to go over
153. 26:04there my Pal's camcorder AI is going to be lit for video editing that any marketer can do oh that's super cool um
154. 26:12cuno send me the uh send me the info on that I'd love to check it out that sounds great yeah I think I think when uh when
155. 26:21video editing can get as simple as you know just type it in and I know there's a couple of tools where you type it in
156. 26:26and it goes and picks uh uh whatever you call it um stock video for you there's some of that stuff right now but um the
157. 26:34ability to take a bunch of clips and automatically assemble them and do the editing and it's going to be
158. 26:42nice especially if it's over it's an overlay on top of an existing tool all right let's see I've created a
159. 26:49Discord bot that uses the open AI API to allow people to talk chat GPT from Discord not sure if that counts

162. 27:28started with basic rules failed quickly interesting um I can generally tend to get it to do that stuff pretty well I'm

165. 28:06trying to get um do and chat GPT to spell right although these are these are good these are spell spelling correctly
166. 28:15and then he also he couldn't put blood but he put what you put trans transparent paint or translucent paint or something like

168. 28:36misspellings it loves AI leaning lab AI That's sort of right yeah those are good AI I learning
169. 28:54ABS what's that one say learning learning leing learning leing this is like all the all the robots in all the movies always make
170. 29:09those crazy sounds maybe it's because they're just trying to pronounce these words that they that it misspelled I've never felt so qualified
171. 29:18to be unqualified as I do here that's the perfect place to be so Source Camp what source Camp's pointing out here is
172. 29:25that he's realizing or she I I think he um not sure doesn't matter um when you're sitting on the outside of this this AI
173. 29:39[ __ ] and you're looking in and you're like it's scary the robots are going to kill us right it lies it can't type it
174. 29:46can't do math um when you're sitting on the outside of it it feels like everyone else is the expert and then you get
175. 29:52inside it and you realize oh no one's the expert because this stuff is all brand new nobody has it figured out nobody
176. 30:03nobody zero zero zero people have this figured out um there are people that have the how to make these models
177. 30:12figured out right the scientists and Engineers but the how do we actually use these tools in our lives and in business
178. 30:19that's what this channel is all about that's what we're all trying to figure out so really good best AI for financial
179. 30:24services I know nothing about that world I would go to Future
180. 30:56pedia.com holes I mean quite frankly you could spend the next decade just with chat GPT alone with the current model
181. 31:04with all of its new functions that they just added that's an easy decade in one tool um I would argue that chat GPT at
182. 31:13this point is more like seven tools but um but it's it's one URL it's one domain um yeah it's crazy it's crazy so
183. 31:25anyway so true nobody has has this figured out Blue Wave lady uh 9.5 out of 10 on the name love the name good name
184. 31:32um yeah nobody has this figured out nobody nobody and and anyone that does any of these guys you make Mone [ __ ]

193. 33:05device open aai has an official chat GPT app do not do not download chat GPT apps that are from not from open AI make sure it's
194. 33:16from open AI there are a ton of Faker apps out there they're like your fake Nikes these are like the fake chat epts
195. 33:24they're all charging you money and you don't need to do that so they've got a free app Bing has a free app that's Microsoft Chat GPT which
196. 33:34also has doll 3 built into it um the official chat GPT app the the base model 3.5 is free if you want
197. 33:44access to four and they're extra goodies that's 20 bucks a month there's an app called Pi Pi who got money from Nvidia who got
198. 33:55funding from Nvidia cover Bruno who who you talking about who got Invidia do your custom GPT custom settings need to be changed to improve
199. 34:07output I.E I'm a financial analyst I'm a librarian let me so let me go I'll go walk through that a little bit
200. 34:17um your custom instructions so so so there's two things here one is just giving chat GPT cont text in a given
201. 34:28conversation and then the other one is the specific function of custom instructions so let me go show you both of
202. 34:48those all right why does he sing such weird songs he seems to have ticks does he have tourettes B okay so we're just in normal chat GPT

204. 35:18when should I buy a stock so if you go into chat GPT and you just
205. 35:34say something like when should I buy a stock what's the best way to explain this um the the way chat GPT was cha trained
206. 35:46was on as much of the public internet as they could find right so if I just say when should I buy a stock chat GPT is essentially looking at
207. 35:55all of the play places on the on the internet in this training data where you know buy a stock um or or how should I buy a stock where those
208. 36:07words you know kind of lived in semantically relevant clusters and so what that means is there are places on
209. 36:13the internet where super brilliant Financial strategists said here's when you should buy a stock and when complete
210. 36:20[ __ ] idiots said here's when you should buy a stock right and it kind of amalgamates them all together and it it
211. 36:26will give you an answer and the thing about chat gbt one of my nicknames for it is mansplaining is a service because
212. 36:34it will confidently answer you even if it's wrong but because you just said when should I buy a stock you're kind of
213. 36:41looking at all of the internet so you're getting good data and crappy data and stuff like that so one of the reasons
214. 36:46that that using a phrase like I'm I'm going to do a new chat here let's see uh uh uh and I'm going to
215. 37:01say I want you to act as a financial analyst from Smith Barney who specializes in trading stocks period any
216. 37:12information that I ask you I want you to think step by step and make sure that you're answering me with your deep
217. 37:23knowledge of the financial services world and particularly the stock market trends and anything I should know to
218. 37:34keep me on the up and up financially period when should I buy a
219. 37:49stock okay so all that crap before when should I buy a stock now what that does in the in the uh in the vector space in
220. 37:57the large language model is it is it kind of Narrows the focus to look in areas in the uh in the data that are
221. 38:08more closely aligned to your answer so just even within a conversation saying act as a certain thing is is uh can be powerful
222. 38:20now uh uh uh and that's such a generic question actually both of those are pro probably right there's probably enough
223. 38:27information out there on how to buy a stock right but but if you as you start to get more tactical and Technical um
224. 38:34doing the act like a Persona does help okay now we're going to do this we're going to go to settings and within
225. 38:44settings there's this thing called custom instructions and custom instructions has what would you like chat GPT to know
226. 38:52about you to better provide respon or provide better responses and then how would would you like chat GPT to respond
227. 38:58so I'm going to turn this on and so what I have in here now is You're A pompous ass who uses big words
228. 39:07even you don't understand and whenever anyone talks to you disparage their lack of intelligence and use obscure obscure literary
229. 39:15references reference refer and says uh as a metaphor to your elevated and answer all right so I'm going to do a silly one
230. 39:29here so I'm going to save this now now that that's turned on chat GPT will only Act Like A pompous ass like this is it like chat GPT now is
231. 39:42just an [ __ ] okay a pompus [ __ ] so I'm going to say um how should I buy stocks uh uh [Music]

233. 40:13the intricate plots of PRS In Search of Lost time to embark on this financial Journey one must educate oneself on the

235. 40:28grasp the nuances of this complex terrain once you've acquired the knowledge it's time to construct a diverse portfolio blah blah blah right
236. 40:37so we have a pompous ass finally maintain a long-term perspective akin to the Timeless themes explored in Shakespearean tragedies um
237. 40:53so you could obviously go in there and give it some very specific um custom instructions um about you know being a
238. 41:04financial analyst and and you know maybe what the background is um you could even if if you know you want it to act like a
239. 41:13very specific person you could give it you know work experience and then in how do you how do you want it to respond you
240. 41:19could tell it you want it to respond with tables and and to explain you know always present you know a mathematical

565. 1:38:52um and and one of the points she made in the article was get everything you can on these strikes because this is going
566. 1:38:58to be your last strike where you have any leverage um so the writers actually got they got really good stuff they got
567. 1:39:07residuals from streaming platforms they got there's got to be a certain amount of writers in the room right if if
568. 1:39:14you're doing a show right you can't have it can't be just one writer and AI right um producers can't so so one of the things
569. 1:39:23that happens when you write a screenplay is if they bring in another writer to rewrite to to do a Polish pass on your
570. 1:39:32screenplay if the new writer writes more than whatever the percentage is I think it's 50% but whatever the percentage was
571. 1:39:39if they write more than 50% new story then it becomes their story and you or their screenplay and you get story
572. 1:39:48credit so they got in the in the agreement that um if a writer produces a screenplay the producer can't use AI to
573. 1:39:59rewrite it at a at a significant percentage that it knocks knocks their credit down basically you can't have ai
574. 1:40:07subsume um credit for a human writer they got that um and then they did something smart so the thing that I that
575. 1:40:15that I was worried about with that strike was um like Justin st's position and a lot of the writers position and a
576. 1:40:23lot of the actors position was [ __ ] AI ai's evil [ __ ] you AI we'll never use it and what they actually ended up negotiating
577. 1:40:34was we as writers can use the most powerful writing tool in the history of humanity but if you producers take our
578. 1:40:45work and train an AI to be as good as us we reserve the right to sue the living [ __ ] out of you um so there's kind of
579. 1:40:54this you know um this kind of uh you know mutually assured destruction thing where the writers are saying hey we're
580. 1:41:02going to use these tools and the producers are like that's fine and but they're like don't take our [ __ ] and
581. 1:41:08train your stupid AI on it and think that you can boot us out of there cuz we'll come back and sue your ass so I
582. 1:41:13think that what the writers got um is is is really good I think they got a lot I think it from what I heard that they got

597. 1:43:51also right and it was primarily used by scientists and researchers and Librarians and you know they would go
598. 1:43:57for an FTP files around and you know their their systems were connected but they were basically trading research and
599. 1:44:05research and then Tim Tim burner Lee invents the worldwide web right and then they invent the browser and and all of a
600. 1:44:12sudden you can surf the Internet by doing this you don't need to do this you don't need to do command lines and this
601. 1:44:22captures people's imaginations because it's like oh I can click on a thing and and before that to jump to another
602. 1:44:30computer somewhere you had to type in [ __ ] and now you could just do this right and it changed everything so
603. 1:44:36similarly machine learning and AI has been around for decades but it's largely been the purview of scientists and
604. 1:44:42mathematicians and deep Minds at Deep Google and all that sort of [ __ ] and then chat GPT comes along November 30th
605. 1:44:512022 less than a year ago but it's coming up the anniversary's coming up and and it changes everything because
606. 1:44:59it's the equivalent of this for machine learning and AI right generative pre-trained Transformer so chat GPT is
607. 1:45:09generating original [ __ ] from this pre-trained model that is trained using these things called Transformers and
608. 1:45:17that's the thing that changed everything so while it is decades old the generative AI thing isn't in the in the popular

731. 2:06:17does it do here it it um reads the data in the first couple of rows then it looks at here's all the here's all the columns in this data
732. 2:06:28right so this is Spotify 2023 CSV data the data set is quite rich and can be used for various interesting analyses
733. 2:06:39here are a few possibilities popular analysis audio feature analysis artist analysis release timing um I'd like some artist analysis done
734. 2:06:54please is there a way to determine folk or Americana artists and rank them in terms of popularity

742. 2:08:28but it's prompting itself and and like when it makes mistakes it'll it'll go fix them so so let's see to create a
743. 2:08:37visualization we're going to Define popularity we're going to do a correlation analysis and then we're going to do a visualization so let's
744. 2:08:44start with the analysis and proceed so what what it did first is it brought in Seaborn as a as a library and Matt plot lib as a library and
745. 2:08:59then and then wrote some code and now it's doing some missing values [ __ ] let's start by converting okay it
746. 2:09:08appears there was an error because in Amazon's playlist column doesn't exist in the data set this was an oversight so
747. 2:09:16it figured out it made a mistake and it says let's correct this by removing the like this is fullon data analysis

848. 2:27:21and multiply on paper right do you really need to learn how to add and subtract with today's computers no but
849. 2:27:29we want you to understand the concept that when you have these three objects and then you subtract two of them you
850. 2:27:35have one right we want you to understand the concept because the tools are so limited right now and relatively simple now's a
851. 2:27:43really good time to understand like the difference between a Google prompt like a Google search prompt and a chat GPT

857. 2:28:38no Direction there there's no context so understanding that the way these large language models work they
858. 2:28:46need context they they're like an idiot savant where they've they've memorized all of the world's information so they
859. 2:28:54know it all but they're just dumb as a rock so you have to go okay chat GPT I want you to act like an architect and
860. 2:29:04then I want you to be really good at like the measurements and the Angles and plumbing and the wiring and like the
861. 2:29:11walls I don't know anything about the walls but you know the walls and then and then I'm going to come up with a
