old you leing 2:43 me again 2:46 [Music] 2:47 today you will convince 2:52 me again 2:55 today let you leave in this hotel 3:01 oh someone else is 3:03 [Music] 3:11 going good evening good people what kind 3:14 of trouble we getting in today I don't 3:16 know I hope Lots yeah do me a favor 3:18 share the live welcome to the AI 3:20 learning lab I'm just sitting here with 3:22 my singing 3:23 dog and my 3:26 rabbit you see rabbit rabbit huh 3:32 it's the only kind of rabbit Hardware I 3:34 have to 3:36 demonstrate if you know what I 3:39 mean uh 3:42 anyway I don't know what we're going to 3:44 do 3:46 tonight I did like a uh a 9 Minute 3:49 review of that thing so if you if you 3:52 check out my uh channel here I just 3:55 uploaded it 3:57 [Music] 4:01 and I kind of start the thing off by 4:03 going like why is everyone hating on 4:05 this device I just I feel like the Tech 4:08 Community are such [ __ ] Lites 4:11 man like everyone's so stuck in their 4:14 [ __ ] 4:15 [Music] 4:23 ways and you'll see in my review like I 4:26 don't give it a [ __ ] killer review 4:28 but like like there's people out there 4:31 going like it's a Griff people are 4:33 ripping people off no they charged 200 4:35 bucks for it they said it would ship in 4:37 April it shipped on April 30th I mean 4:40 it's like they they shipped a piece of 4:43 Hardware when they said they would does 4:46 anyone understand what a [ __ ] miracle 4:48 that 4:49 is and the hardware doesn't suck like it 4:53 doesn't it doesn't crash it doesn't fall 4:55 apart it's fast 5:01 Amelia's wife she's she's admiring the 5:04 little uh the little image here who do 5:08 you think made 5:09 [Music] 5:14 that yeah it's a nice one little Jessica 5:19 [Music] 5:24 Rabbit there's uh I'm still kind of 5:26 enamored with um deco here's 5:31 stations I put that on my computer 5:33 screen today I've got two monitors at 5:36 work and I just had my monitor off to 5:38 the right just making images all day 5:40 like in my peripheral vision it was just 5:42 like it was good 5:44 stemming for for a neuros spicy brain 5:50 [Music] 5:58 [Music] 6:09 [Applause] 6:17 [Music] 6:18 [Laughter] 6:25 dear um what do you guys want to talk 6:28 about tonight 6:30 people think being cynical is cool don't 6:32 let it dim your light n it doesn't dim 6:34 my light it's just it's just like it's a 6:36 shame cuz it's you 6:37 know I feel I feel like they're judging 6:41 you know this Hardware device which not 6:45 for nothing like that's some of the most 6:47 exciting industrial design I've seen 6:51 in 10 6:54 years like a little [ __ ] scroll wheel 6:58 and like a walkie-talkie button and a 7:00 rotating camera like there's Innovations 7:03 on this that you're like why the [ __ ] 7:05 didn't Apple come up with 7:07 that and they actually shipped it and it 7:11 actually 7:13 functions um and it's not perfect it's 7:17 like a version 1.0 like like why people 7:20 aren't recognizing this for what it is a 7:23 1.0 piece of soft or piece of 7:26 Hardware with Innovative relative ly 7:30 Innovative software in it the software 7:32 is the weak point right now but not from 7:35 Apple not from Google from like some 7:38 little [ __ ] 7:41 company like a dude that's like I think 7:43 we should have a cool 7:47 thing like [ __ ] celebrate that and so 7:51 my review is essentially a celebration 7:54 of the fact that it exists and it 7:56 shipped and it [ __ ] works and and the 8:00 software 8:01 sucks but I feel like I feel like for 8:04 1.0 Hardware it's like I gave it a 10 8:07 out of 10 on the on the design nine nine 8:11 out of 10 nine and a half out of 10 on 8:13 the on the build cuz the build's really 8:16 good um it had battery issues but they 8:18 fixed them with a software 8:20 update 8:23 um and then the and then the software is 8:25 just not ready like the software is very 8:27 much 1.0 software 8:33 but the fact that they shipped it when 8:34 they said they would they said batch 8:36 one's going to ship in April it shipped 8:37 on April 8:40 30th or no no it shipped before then it 8:43 shipped April 24th it arrived on the 8:51 29th was a i chat GPT glitchy today um I 8:55 used it in the morning and it was okay 9:00 didn't they use Open Source 9:03 Hardware I don't know it I don't know 9:06 what they 9:08 used I mean it's their own it's their 9:11 own um it's their own logic board I 9:15 assume that what they did was built 9:17 built it on you know something like a 9:20 Raspberry Pi kind of architecture but 9:22 it's apparently a an Android app running 9:26 on an Android clone so maybe it's maybe 9:29 it's 9:30 well I mean maybe it's Google rather 9:32 than Raspberry Pi in terms of 9:34 architecture I don't really know and I 9:36 don't care I mean it's it's decently 9:39 responsive um it's got a potentiometer 9:43 in it like how you how you um this is 9:45 cute so you know you push the little 9:47 button to turn it on and then you push 9:48 the little button to let's start putting 9:51 together a steering committee Playbook 9:55 that's good 9:57 um Genie in a Bottle like couldn't log 10:00 in tonight I thought I was going to lose 10:01 my mind oh in uh in chat GPT yeah that's 10:04 frustrating when that happens although 10:06 generally if chat GPT is misbehaving It 10:09 generally means they're upgrading 10:11 something um but anyway so so to use 10:14 this thing you have it there and then 10:16 you just go um oh I don't know 10:22 um what is the symbolism of the face 10:25 cards in a deck of playing cards 10:30 and off it goes cards in 10:32 ack typically represent historical or 10:34 mythological figures and then you can 10:36 just stop it like that 10:38 Jack and then um oh and then so so the 10:43 Nostalgia of a walkie-talkie is one 10:45 thing and then a physical scroll wheel 10:47 on a device like this is really cool I 10:49 wish it had like uh tick tick tick 10:52 whatever those 10:53 calls like 10:56 uh tick tick whatever that is it's just 10:59 smooth but it's like got good resistance 11:01 to it like it's it's got you know it's 11:04 well engineered um but it's got here 11:07 here's another call back well one call 11:09 back is the case it comes in is like a 11:12 cassette tape case and then that becomes 11:15 the little stand you put it in but how 11:18 you get to the um to the menu um for for 11:22 your settings is like an eter sketch you 11:25 shake 11:26 it you get to there and then you use 11:29 your little scroll 11:30 wheel to go up and down your menu now 11:33 the scroll Wheels really slow like the 11:35 software for it's just jankier than [ __ ] 11:38 and it's got weird [ __ ] like it's got a 11:40 touchcreen but the touch screen's not 11:42 activated for this menu you have to use 11:45 the scroll wheel in the button but you 11:47 know it's like [ __ ] like that is like 11:49 you know some of the reviews like they 11:51 make that stuff like it's a deal breaker 11:54 like they'll fix it in a software update 11:57 people will [ __ ] about it and they'll 11:58 fix it 12:00 like if the hardware were slow or 12:02 glitchy or 12:04 shitty then there's nothing you can fix 12:08 there all the software stuff like 12:10 everything that bugs me about it they're 12:11 going to be able to 12:15 fix they were marketing zenial well they 12:18 they nailed this gen exit 12:22 [Music] 12:31 this is 12:33 why this is hitting all the Gen X 12:35 Nostalgia buttons I am in love right 12:37 isn't it it's got a cute little little 12:40 Dancy rabbit when you push the button 12:42 his ears perk up your ears are 12:46 cute it seems like you're sharing a 12:49 playful phrase or rhyme if you have any 12:51 specific questions or topics you'd like 12:53 to discuss feel free to let me 12:56 know I was just paying you a compliment 12:58 your ears are cute 13:01 this one doesn't this one's not like pie 13:03 thank you for the kind words I 13:05 appreciate your compliment if there's 13:07 anything else you'd like to discuss or 13:09 inquire about feel free to let me 13:14 know I'm curious about how quantum 13:17 mechanics 13:22 Works quantum mechanics is a branch of 13:24 physics that deals with the behavior of 13:26 very small particles such as atoms and 13:29 subatomic particles it describes how 13:31 these particles interact and behave in 13:33 ways that are often counterintuitive 13:35 compared to classical 13:37 physics what about that cat that's alive 13:39 and dead at the same 13:45 time the concept you're referring to is 13:48 known as Schrodinger's cat a thought 13:51 experiment in quantum mechanics proposed 13:53 by physicist wiwin Schrodinger in this 13:55 scenario a cat is placed in a sealed box 13:58 with a I mean it's just 14:01 cute can it remember things oh like when 14:05 you tell it well I gave it a name last 14:08 night do you remember your 14:13 name yes I am dot your assistant 14:16 attending to your needs if you have any 14:18 questions or need assistance feel free 14:20 to 14:24 [Music] 14:27 ask what else can you remember 14:34 yes I have memory and can recall 14:36 information to assist you effectively if 14:38 there's anything specific you'd like to 14:40 discuss or inquire about feel free to 14:43 let me 14:44 know I'm the CEO of a company called 14:47 storyvine that's at story vine.com can 14:49 you go look at that website and tell me 14:51 about 14:53 it searching 14:57 now storyvine is a video production 15:00 technology platform based in Denver 15:02 Colorado that specializes in automating 15:04 the video storytelling process that's 15:06 true the company offers a mobile 15:08 application that guides users through 15:10 creating structured brand aligned videos 15:13 which are then automatically edited and 15:14 produced with pre-approved designs 15:16 automically story primarily serves 15:18 sectors that require scalable video 15:20 content creation such as marketing and 15:23 advocacy groups the platform captures 15:25 video in a structured way I'd like you 15:28 to remember that I'm the founder and CEO 15:30 of that company 15:34 okay 15:36 understood I have noted that you are the 15:38 founder and CEO of storyvine if you need 15:41 this information for future reference or 15:43 any specific purpose feel free to let me 15:50 know all right I'll I'll check back in 15:52 with 15:57 it but that's really interesting so so 16:00 I've got so your account on the rabbit 16:03 website is called the rabbit hole I can 16:06 also tell it to like record a 16:10 uh I want you to record a memo that I 16:13 have an idea for making a drawing of a 16:17 rabbit running down a rabbit 16:20 hole saving your 16:22 note I have saved your drawing idea of a 16:25 rabbit running down a rabbit hole to the 16:27 rabbit 16:28 hole well in in fact why don't you go 16:30 ahead and make me a drawing of that 16:31 right 16:33 now got it please be patient while I'm 16:36 generating your 16:37 image so now it's so I've got it 16:39 connected to my mid Journey 16:41 account so now it's using mid journey to 16:44 make this Schrodinger's rabbit it's both 16:46 janky and not janky at the same time 16:48 until you unbox it that's really 16:51 good yeah maybe that's what it is is 16:53 that some people got the the schinger 16:56 version of this that sucked really bad 17:04 we'll see what we'll see what our little 17:05 rabbit looks 17:09 like I want r one rabbit so bad 17:12 apparently these things are going for 17:13 like a thousand bucks on eBay the resale 17:17 I could have 5x I should have bought a 17:19 [ __ ] hundred of 17:28 them they're pretty 17:32 slick does someone want to sell their 17:34 rabbit for D your drawing of a rabbit 17:36 running down a rabbit hole has been 17:38 successfully generated and then look you 17:41 twirl your little you twirl your little 17:44 knob your little scroll wheel how slick 17:47 is that I'm telling you man this thing 17:50 is I you know everyone's bitching about 17:52 it but it's like it's fun it's 17:54 fun it's a [ __ ] 17:58 toy that's it's got like all of the 18:00 internet in it the compressed Internet 18:03 it's 18:07 amazing can I what can I do with that 18:11 nothing but like there's a cute little 18:14 bunny bunny in a rabbit 18:17 hole if you want it to remember things 18:20 an exclude 18:21 aart does it have to save the 18:27 butthole I don't I don't know how 18:30 sophist I assume I mean it's a large 18:31 language model so I assume it can be 18:33 pretty 18:34 sophisticated 18:41 um here I'm going to try 18:43 something I want you to save a couple of 18:46 other things for me but not not in the 18:48 rabbit hole I just want you to remember 18:50 them 18:53 okay I'll remember the information you 18:55 provide just let me know what you'd like 18:57 me to remember and I'll keep it in mind 19:00 for 19:01 you okay I want you to remember that I 19:04 have a degree in acting I moved to New 19:06 York City out of school started and ran 19:08 a theater company I want you to remember 19:10 that I've written seven screen plays I 19:13 want you to remember that I started the 19:16 worldwide web artist Consortium in New 19:18 York City in 1994 I want you to remember 19:21 I founded agency.com in 1994 and sold 19:24 that to Omnicom in 19:26 2002 got that 19:31 I have noted the information you 19:34 provided you have a degree in acting and 19:36 move to New York 19:38 City okay I also want you to remember 19:41 that I'm about 19:43 5'8 19:46 [Music] 19:48 and I couldn't think of anything else so 19:51 shut up I have noted that you are 19:53 approximately 58 years old if there is 19:56 anything else you would like me to 19:58 remember or if you need assistance with 19:59 anything else feel free to let me know 20:03 well I told you that I was 5' 8 in tall 20:05 but I also happened to be 58 years old 20:07 so that's that's clever that you 20:09 remembered that also why don't you 20:11 remember that my birthday is May 20:15 7th so we'll check on May 7th I noted 20:17 that your birthday is on May 7th we'll 20:19 check and see if there is any other 20:21 information you would like me to 20:22 remember or if you have we'll check and 20:25 see if it remembers that on May 7th 20:27 that'll be interesting 20:34 where do I 20:37 work you have not mentioned where you 20:41 work well I did mention that I'm the CEO 20:44 of a company so that implies that I work 20:46 there 20:49 right you mentioned that you are the CEO 20:52 of a company which implies that you work 20:54 there if you would like me to remember 20:56 the name of the company or any other 20:58 details about your your work please 21:00 provide that 21:01 information I already 21:06 did if you have any other questions need 21:09 assistance or wish to share more 21:11 information feel free to let me 21:18 know I'm the CEO of a company that does 21:20 automated video do you remember the name 21:22 of 21:28 it you mentioned having a company that 21:30 specializes in automated video however 21:33 you have not provided the name of the 21:35 company if you would like me to remember 21:37 the name or if you have any other 21:38 details to share please let me know so 21:42 yeah so that's not great um the other 21:45 thing that's weird about it like one of 21:47 the things that I love 21:49 about pi and open AI chat gpt's app 21:55 their their mobile app is that you have 21:58 conversations with them on the Fly and 22:01 they're saved to your account in your 22:02 prompt history so you can just sit down 22:04 at your desktop and look at 22:06 your you got the rabbit I did get the 22:08 Rabbit cam I got 22:11 it I put up a review tonight 22:16 um it doesn't it doesn't it doesn't save 22:21 your your chat history anywhere so if 22:24 you have a like a brainstorming 22:26 conversation with it it's not taking 22:28 notes unless you tell it 22:30 to it's taking notes to the rabbit hole 22:33 so it will it will remember but it's but 22:35 it's only taking notes to the rabbit 22:37 hole if you explicitly say save this or 22:40 if you or if you do image recognition 22:43 stuff like a Tinder date exactly you 22:46 tell it everything and then you're like 22:48 you mean I got to write this down 22:51 [ __ ] so that that I actually requested I 22:54 I I reported that as a 22:56 bug or not as a bug a feature request by 23:00 the way today anthropic launched a um an 23:07 iOS version of the Claude app but there 23:12 are a lot like way more than chat GPT 23:15 apps there are a lot of Claud apps today 23:19 I was surprised by co-pilot AI in Skype 23:22 unbelievable and available in Spanish 23:24 nice 23:28 [Music] 23:30 yeah I have a feeling you 23:34 know we forget Microsoft you know they 23:37 launched Bing chat 23:40 in what was it 23:42 December or December of 22 or or January 23:47 of 23 so they've been at this for like a 23:50 year and a year in change a year and six 23:53 months they their Integrations are going 23:56 to start showing up in pretty 23:57 sophisticated ways 24:00 [Music] 24:08 I have to do a presentation on why chat 24:10 GPT is better than co-pilot do you have 24:12 three suggestions okay Papa 24:17 Mike um the most important one is and 24:22 depending on your audience they might 24:24 not see this as a bad thing the safety 24:27 guard rails for co-pilot 24:30 very often make it 24:32 unusable like you'll you'll try to be 24:35 working on something and it will just um 24:40 it'll just go no I can't answer that and 24:42 then if you're like no but please answer 24:44 that it's like well clearly you don't 24:46 respect my boundaries why don't we just 24:47 end this conversation it shuts the 24:49 conversation down so I find I find that 24:52 the safety guard rails on co-pilot are 24:58 are just they're arbitrary and they're 25:00 just unnecessarily harsh so that's one 25:03 thing 25:07 um even 25:10 though both chat GPT and co-pilot access 25:14 gp4 there's just a 25:18 qualitative difference from my 25:21 experience in in chat GPT versus 25:24 co-pilot in terms of the answers I like 25:27 it it tends to be able to answer things 25:29 more completely it doesn't get confused 25:31 as much I find co-pilot just gets 25:33 confused all the 25:34 time 25:37 um co-pilot doesn't have code 25:40 interpreter so if you have not played 25:42 with code interpreter and don't know 25:43 what it is you should explore that 25:51 um while co-pilot 25:54 has well 26:01 co- co-pilot's gpts like copilot has 26:05 custom gpts but they're they're a little 26:07 janky they're not quite ready for prime 26:09 time but one of the advantages of 26:11 co-pilot gpts is an an end user doesn't 26:15 need a subscription to be able to use 26:17 them once they're built you need a 26:19 subscription to build them but you can 26:22 share them with anyone but it apparently 26:24 they're pretty janky they're they're 26:25 just not as 26:26 good um 26:32 [Music] 26:34 um chat gbt has memory now so you can 26:38 like the things that I was trying to get 26:40 this thing to remember you can do that 26:42 in chat GPT 26:43 now um you can do it across 26:47 [Music] 26:49 chats yeah co-pilot is more for the 26:52 regular person that needs some normal 26:53 vanilla 26:55 things I mean here's the other here's 26:58 the other here's the the real the real 27:01 reason for me cat 27:05 GPT 27:07 is made um is is 27:11 available from the company that makes it 27:15 right co-pilot is using open 27:19 ai's large language model and they built 27:22 their own application over here but one 27:24 of the things that you get when you pay 27:26 the 20 bucks a month for chat GPT is 27:28 first access to their new 27:30 [ __ ] and chat GPT is about to drop chat 27:34 GPT 5 or gp5 or whatever the [ __ ] they 27:38 call it probably June July Midsummer 27:42 they 27:44 said and it's 27:47 apparently going to be you know as big a 27:50 jump from chat gbd 3.5 to chat GPT 4 27:53 it's going to be a similar scale jump to 27:56 chat GPT 5 28:00 [Music] 28:04 so you know where my head is is I want 28:09 to be paying the 20 bucks to the company 28:11 that's inventing the [ __ ] thoughts about 28:13 Pi I love 28:15 pie um I think inflection was a really 28:20 interesting 28:20 [Music] 28:21 company they raised $1.3 28:24 billion they 28:26 created by far the the best 28:29 conversational 28:31 chatbot um it's connected to the 28:33 internet it's just it's just really good 28:37 at conversational AI like the the the 28:42 rabbit the I think this is built on 28:44 perplexity it's just not as good like it 28:47 just it's just weird you try to crack 28:50 jokes with it it it doesn't understand 28:52 jokes it's just like I am a large 28:53 language model I don't understand 28:55 apparent it sounds like you're trying to 28:57 communicate something 28:59 why don't you ask me a question when you 29:00 have one it just you know it it doesn't 29:03 grock the uh the situation Pi does like 29:08 Pi will joke with you and Pi understands 29:10 if something is out of the ordinary with 29:13 you that 29:15 said 29:17 um Microsoft looted the company they 29:21 took two of the three co-founders Reed 29:24 Hoffman is left there with the husk and 29:27 apparently a bunch of the um employees 29:29 went over to Microsoft as well so the 29:32 the two two of the three co-founders of 29:35 inflection and a bunch of the employees 29:38 went over to Microsoft to start their AI 29:41 division that was the division that they 29:43 were going to give to Sam Alman and Greg 29:45 Brockman when they were fired from their 29:47 company so so Microsoft 29:51 is okay so here here's a Nuance if you 29:54 don't know it here's here's a Nuance of 29:56 of what's happening with the Microsoft 29:58 in the open AI 30:01 relationship if and when when and if 30:05 open AI achieves 30:08 AGI Microsoft loses commercial access to 30:13 that 30:16 technology um satin Adella the CEO of 30:19 Microsoft has been saying for the past 30:21 two months or so we don't need open AI 30:23 we're fine we've got our own stuff we 30:25 don't need you poopy poopy pants on you 30:28 if we've got we've got other friends in 30:30 the AI business and they have they've 30:31 been investing in uh I think I think 30:34 they invested in anthropic uh they 30:37 invested in inflection to the point that 30:40 two of the three co-founders now work 30:42 for them I'm not quite sure how they 30:44 pulled that one off but they did so my 30:48 thought on PI right now is it probably 30:52 isn't improving at the rate it once was 30:56 Reed Hoffman has said they are commed to 30:58 Pi and Pi's not going to go 31:02 away but I have no idea what happened to 31:05 that $1.3 billion I don't know if 31:07 they're backfilling the employees I 31:09 don't know if they actually really 31:11 secretly sold it to Microsoft but they 31:13 didn't quite announce it yet but maybe 31:15 after some sort of non-compete lockup 31:18 it'll transfer to M I like I don't know 31:20 what I don't know what the [ __ ] deal 31:21 was it was weird 31:23 so yeah Pi is not exponentially 31:26 improving anymore 31:36 I just checked you can still purchase an 31:38 R1 and it will ship next month I hope so 31:41 I 31:44 mean they they sold out their 31:48 first they sold them in batches of 31:51 10,000 and the first batch the batch I 31:54 got in the first batch I saw Robert 31:56 scoble he was at CES and saw the keynote 32:00 and and he said I just ordered one and I 32:02 saw it was only 200 bucks and it didn't 32:04 have a subscription I was like [ __ ] it 32:05 I'll do it so so I got the first batch 32:09 but I think they sold out like the first 32:11 seven or eight batches of 32:13 10,000 like and and I thought they were 32:15 going to be farther apart than that but 32:18 but maybe what they did was they did the 32:20 first 32:22 batch you know of 10,000 and now they're 32:25 going to do like a 100,000 or a larger 32:27 batch I don't know 32:29 but if they're shipping if they're 32:30 saying they're shipping in June they 32:31 said they were going to ship this in 32:33 April and they 32:35 [Music] 32:43 did Joker's waiting for the turtle slow 32:46 and steady wins the race I like 32:51 turtles yeah oh Brandon says he thinks 32:54 that they could parallel this with a 32:55 kids version actually a kid 32:58 version of the operating system here 33:00 would be super 33:04 slick I just what what I think is so 33:07 cool about the hardware is it's it's so 33:11 generic right it's like screen scroll 33:14 wheel button camera front front and back 33:17 camera it'll rotate which by the way 33:18 that's so cool watch so there's your see 33:21 the little cylinder up here if I double 33:23 click this 33:28 wait I got to turn it on here we go 33:32 Z and then if I put turn it this way and 33:35 flip it 33:37 Z that cool and if I double click it 33:42 again closes 33:45 it I mean you could absolutely put a 33:48 kid's operating system in 33:52 that and think about what it is 33:58 I mean this is this is not that much 34:01 bigger than a tamagachi remember 34:02 tamagachi in the 90s right it was it was 34:05 a little like keychain thing with like 34:07 the three buttons on it and you had to 34:10 like feed it and do [ __ ] like that this 34:13 has like all of the knowledge of all of 34:16 humanity in it and you can just have you 34:20 had any Kevin mallister moments with it 34:23 um 34:28 for me it's 34:30 the the form factor itself is a bit of a 34:33 Kevin mallister 34:35 moment this is the king of tamagachi 34:37 yeah the the form itself is kind of a 34:40 Kevin McAllister moment because whether 34:43 or not we end up using handheld AI 34:48 devices the fact 34:53 that that they had the guts 34:56 to put something out there that 34:59 challenges the the entire existing 35:02 mobile infrastructure I 35:04 mean this is clearly an uphill battle 35:07 right because I've already got buttons 35:09 on my phone right but the problem with 35:12 the buttons on the phone is you've got 35:14 one over here on on my iPhone I got one 35:16 over here and two over here and whenever 35:18 I hit one of them I accidentally hit one 35:20 of the other ones and it always invokes 35:23 some other [ __ ] thing and then it's 35:25 got all the apps and I've and I've got 35:27 to navigate the apps and I got to find 35:29 the apps and if I can't remember the 35:30 name of an app and I can't search for it 35:32 then I got to go scroll through hundreds 35:34 of [ __ ] apps because I'm a tab 35:35 hoarder and that's the way it works with 35:38 us and this is the promise of this is 35:42 there's one button that does 35:45 everything make me a picture of a 70s 35:47 muscle car in an abandoned Factory with 35:49 sunlight streaming through the broken 35:52 windows stay tuned I'll prepare a few 35:55 options for you it's making images in 35:58 mid Journey right now one 36:03 button and then I can ask it anything 36:06 right and it's connected to the 36:08 internet so there's something about this 36:11 that is and it's got the etes sketch 36:15 shaky shaky interface access which you 36:17 you can't get out of unless you scroll 36:19 with the wheel and then press the escape 36:21 button but still 36:29 I think if if this had been my first 36:31 experience with large language models 36:32 there'd be a lot of aha 36:34 moments but like a thing that really 36:38 limits this for me is the fact that I 36:40 can't go see my chat history like that 36:42 really bums me Cosmic lover Kyle I'm so 36:46 jealous I can't cope in all 36:50 caps your images have been successfully 36:55 generated look 36:59 just oh it does that yeah it's still 37:01 loading there you 37:06 go yeah I I mean 37:09 it's it feels like a 37:12 toy it works like a toy it's got the 37:15 Simplicity of a 37:17 toy and then it's 37:20 got I can interact with the ghost of all 37:24 of 37:25 humanity right which is what a large 37:27 language model is 37:29 is it's 37:34 amazing what are three different 37:36 theories on how and when the pyramids 37:39 were 37:41 built searching 37:46 now the three different theories on how 37:49 and when the pyramids were built are one 38:01 oh sorry repeat 38:09 that the three different theories on how 38:12 and when the pyramids were built are one 38:15 the ramp Theory this is the most widely 38:18 accepted Theory suggesting that the 38:20 pyramids were built through the sheer 38:21 force of tens of thousands of workers 38:24 using ramps to move the massive stones 38:26 into place two the waterers shaft 38:29 Theory this theory proposes that the 38:31 ancient Egyptians used a system of 38:33 waterers shafts to transport the stones 38:35 and build the pyramids three the alien 38:38 Theory this is a more controversial 38:41 Theory suggesting that aliens or 38:43 Advanced is the aliens the aliens did it 38:46 looking it up 38:49 [Laughter] 38:52 now it knows all the conspiracy theories 38:56 it's a toy that can help me prove that 38:59 the Earth is 39:00 [Music] 39:05 flat there we were just circling the 39:09 sun having fun this the Earth was 39:19 round and the images snc to your iPhone 39:22 right no Rudy the image is actually syn 39:25 because it's tied to my um mid Journey 39:29 account I actually just flip over to Mid 39:32 journey and all the images are there 39:34 pretty [ __ ] slick oh there's a new 39:36 feature in udio that we need to go check 39:38 out too tonight where's my mid journey I 39:41 thought I had it up oh there it 39:43 is tab hoarder so if I go to 39:47 create 39:50 um look there's our Rabbit Hole 39:56 images so all of these were made on the 39:59 rabbit and they just show 40:01 up here in mid 40:04 Journey pretty [ __ ] slick now what's 40:07 not slick you can't make 16 by9 wide 40:09 images it only makes Square images why 40:12 is that because when they made the hook 40:15 so so a couple of things they've only 40:17 got four um four apps connected to this 40:21 thing right now door Dash Uber Spotify 40:25 and mid journey and then you can't make 40:27 your own they promised we would have 40:29 this thing to be able to make our own 40:30 connections but it's not there yet which 40:32 is another people are kicking their ass 40:34 for that I'm like 40:36 whatever like I can push one button on 40:39 this stupid device and it makes [ __ ] in 40:40 mid Journey have you ever tried to make 40:42 an image and [ __ ] Discord with mid 40:45 Journey you need a goddamn Stamford 40:48 Physics 40:52 degree as as opposed 40:54 to uh yeah I'd like you to make me a 40:58 pretty picture of a 41:01 doggy you know and now stay tuned I'll 41:04 prepare a few options for you see he 41:06 going to go make them 41:08 now Source Camp you want to see the 41:10 pictures of the doggy it made they're 41:13 not really champy I just said a black 41:14 and white dog I didn't really describe 41:16 it but that one's cute they're 41:19 [Laughter] 41:21 cute ah Gemini bear 41:28 I think the Gemini bear was from uh was 41:30 from the 41:32 rabbit it would actually be nice if it 41:35 if it put somewhere in the description 41:37 that this was made on the 41:41 rabbit but that's pretty slick do you 41:44 have to have a paid mid Journey account 41:45 you do 41:47 [Music] 42:01 I successfully generated your 42:04 images yes you did look 42:09 doggies doggies oh 42:13 doggies I see this device evolving into 42:15 a Star Trek Quantum Communicator yeah 42:19 exactly like imagine if the software 42:23 were slightly more sophisticated and 42:25 weren't version 1.0 software and was 42:27 connected to all of these other 42:31 services like say 42:35 agents right so imagine being able to 42:40 go 42:45 um find me a place to stay in Mexico and 42:49 book me tickets for my 42:51 family and then it just goes off SE now 42:57 wonder what it's searching 43:00 on to find accommodations in Mexico and 43:03 purchase tickets for your family you can 43:05 search for specific locations such but 43:08 so when when there's agents that can do 43:10 all that [ __ ] websites like Expedia 43:13 offer family friendly why not just have 43:16 a device like this where you can just go 43:18 now the reason not to just have a device 43:20 like this is I've already got a [ __ ] 43:23 phone but to the extent that Google an 43:31 apple make it harder to use all this 43:34 [ __ ] than something like this this has a 43:37 chance every time I shake it I I I get 43:41 too rambunctious with it and it takes me 43:43 into my 43:46 [Music] 43:52 settings yeah I 43:53 [Music] 43:56 just I think people underestimate the 43:59 power of of the power and difficulty of 44:03 of creating something this 44:07 simple like do you know how hard it is 44:09 to make 44:11 something with essentially no inputs a 44:14 scroll wheel and a button right or or 44:18 you end up doing what Apple and Android 44:20 have done which is you create a an 44:22 operating system that's so [ __ ] 44:24 convoluted and complicated that you need 44:26 a Physics degree to be able to operate a 44:28 phone anymore right so imagine a device 44:33 so simple even a kid could use it and 44:36 would want 44:39 to every time you shake it a bear gets 44:42 its 44:44 wings here let's look at the uh the new 44:47 images it gave 44:52 us more 44:55 doggies little Jack r 44:58 Russell little what is that a little 45:01 golden retriever little Terrier 45:08 [Laughter] 45:15 nice where did I do these I did these 45:24 in where did I do those 45:30 I 45:34 forget oh I think I did I think I did 45:37 those in uh I think no they're not in 45:40 the rabbit because they're 45:44 taller huh anyway all right all right 45:49 what kind of Axe you have there this is 45:51 a seagull 25th 45:55 anniversary and it's it does doesn't 45:57 sound great acoustically but when you 45:59 when you plug it into an acoustic amp 46:01 it's got a Goen a Goen um pickup system 46:05 and it's [ __ ] gorgeous and then I 46:08 have a gild that I keep at work like a 46:12 1986 gild you know big big 46:16 acoustic and that one sounds [ __ ] 46:19 stunning 46:20 acoustically and I had a I had a I think 46:23 it's a bigs I had a bigs pickup put in 46:25 it and it doesn't sound as good this 46:27 sounds sounds good plugged in that 46:28 sounds good in 46:31 [Music] 46:43 person I mean this doesn't sound 46:45 [Music] 46:49 [Applause] 46:50 [Music] 46:55 bad Mr Kyle you don't feel like 46:57 reviewing the meta AI glasses please 47:00 they're calling 47:04 me uh I don't how much are the meta AI 47:08 glasses this this was the thing about 47:10 the rabbit R1 is at 200 bucks I'm like 47:14 ah [ __ ] like it's I I know listen I am I 47:19 went into this fully aware that I am 47:21 flushing 200 bucks down the toilet and 47:23 that the chances of this thing ending up 47:25 being Shelf handy are very high I get 47:30 that but like I'm not dropping 800 bucks 47:34 on the Humane pin I I I could give two 47:38 [ __ ] about having a laser a laser 47:41 interface in my 47:44 palm but let's go see how much the meta 47:46 rayb bands are I think they're pretty 47:48 [ __ ] 47:49 pricey meta Ray bands but they've gotten 47:54 really good reviews apparently the last 47:56 software up update is uh made them quite 48:04 good oh they're not that 48:07 bad 300 48:12 bucks starting at 48:19 299 like the like these are pretty cool 48:22 the the ones with the Amber Shades look 48:24 like Roy Orbison walking around 48:29 oh Cosmic lover you have the 48:39 meta I don't know anything about him 48:43 Cosmic lover and wait and now the new 48:46 version you recommend them 100% what do 48:49 you what do you like about them like 48:50 what do you do with them what's what's 48:51 the thing about them that you 48:54 like that's really cool 48:58 [Music] 49:10 can I speak yeah um hit the hit the 49:14 request to speak and I'll bring you up 49:16 on on stage 49:21 accept 49:22 hello 49:24 wait coming hello 49:32 wait I can't hear 49:34 you you 49:39 there 49:43 hello yeah barely you sound like you're 49:45 far away from your 49:52 mic 49:54 no oh I know what happened I have the 49:56 glasses own [ __ ] that's what's 50:00 happening you're here to talk about how 50:02 cool the glasses are and they they St 50:03 your audio Yeah so this is the audio 50:06 maybe that's why it's not that good I 50:08 have the glasses on all the time because 50:11 the sound is amazing for music or 50:14 podcast or audiobooks is I recommend 50:16 it's very good that's cool and it and it 50:18 comes the the audio is coming from 50:20 outside your ears right the sound 50:25 is hello are you there it the sound the 50:28 okay I'm sorry remember I speak German 50:30 and Spanish so the speakers are on the 50:34 legs of the glasses and it's different 50:38 from other Bluetooth glasses because I 50:40 got a couple and I returned them because 50:43 this sound somehow enters your skull 50:45 like those things when you swim it's 50:47 it's a different sound it's really it's 50:49 like inside your brain yeah it's in 50:51 induction or whatever they call it or 50:53 transduction something like that I just 50:56 know it's it's inside it's super loud 50:58 and it's perfect H it's great you can 51:01 take pictures videos you can live stream 51:04 you can call in WhatsApp with video so I 51:07 use it a lot with my parents and I 51:10 recommend them if somebody wants to try 51:12 them wow that's cool and then and then 51:14 what do you do with the camera like is 51:16 the camera like shooting all the time 51:18 how do you use it or do you use it yeah 51:20 I use it I use it I take pictures most 51:23 of the time the pictures and videos I 51:25 take I didn't mean to do that so I end 51:27 up 51:29 erasing that's really funny they just it 51:31 just of does it does it do it based on 51:34 do you like tell it to take no yeah you 51:36 can tell them you can say meta you can 51:39 talk to meta AI like meta what time is 51:41 it meta what's happening just chat 51:44 chatting and you can say also take a 51:46 picture but there's also a button 51:48 there's only one button when you turn it 51:50 on and that same button clicks for 51:53 photos and if you click twice it starts 51:56 a video 51:58 recording and you can use it on Facebook 52:01 if you wanna live 52:03 stream oh that's cool that's really 52:06 funny you can live it's really cool you 52:08 can live stream but the problem is that 52:10 when you are live streaming there's 52:12 always or recording a video there's a 52:15 light and so it's legally so people 52:18 always know you're recording there's no 52:20 way to do it I Tred to do it like in a 52:22 restaurant in a club and no everybody 52:25 figured it out and so it's okay that's 52:27 that's what they make electrical tape 52:29 for no but you cannot if you if if you 52:32 do something to stop it it doesn't 52:35 work that 52:38 Bastards of course they thought of that 52:40 there's no way it has to but it's great 52:43 so if somebody wants to try it I try 52:45 them on Amazon you can try them for a 52:47 month and then return them because 52:49 Amazon even have enough money to do this 52:51 in weekend so that's what I did first I 52:53 bought it tried it for a month and then 52:56 it's stopped working the microphone 52:58 stopped working everything else worked 53:00 but the microphone stopped so I returned 53:02 them and got now I have the new ones 53:04 that wow that's cool all right sorry 53:07 guys I'm sorry but it's gonna if you can 53:10 afford them or try them I recommend it's 53:12 good all right cool thank you that's 53:14 awesome thanks for sharing that bye bye 53:16 okay bye 53:22 bye very cool thank you Cosmic lover 53:26 that was awesome aome awesome awesome 53:29 awesome um check GPT section and AI 53:33 Salon I asked Sin City zipper to make me 53:36 a cocktail and then a story okay so if 53:40 you don't know I made a custom GPT my 53:43 very first custom 53:45 GPT is called Sin City sipper because I 53:50 don't know that was what I thought of 53:52 and it's kind of my favorite one and my 53:54 most popular one using Kyle cinity 53:56 sipper For an upcoming bridal shower 53:58 where a number of us are getting 54:00 together at my friend's 54:04 daughter-in-law to be it created a 54:07 number of cocktails and then I 54:09 thought let's take a 54:12 story about the wait the colol Colorado 54:16 Lysol what's that mean I don't know what 54:19 that means um tell me about elderflower 54:22 Elegance imagine this oh cool it oh it 54:25 told a story 54:28 oh that's really 54:34 cool tell me a story about the elder 54:36 flower Elegance that would appeal to a 54:38 very attractive outdoor wear designer 54:42 and geek burlesque dancer it responded 54:45 with the following Avery an outdoor wear 54:48 designer by day and geek burlesque 54:50 dancer By Night stumbled upon a magical 54:52 cocktail called the elderflower Elegance 54:54 oh that's so 54:55 cool that that is awesome post a Corey 54:59 post a picture of the cocktail in there 55:01 I'd like to see the cocktail and the and 55:04 and the recipe if you're willing to give 55:06 it up but you know I know it might be 55:07 proprietary for your uh for your wedding 55:11 that's 55:12 [Laughter] 55:16 awesome oh man maybe Roy already has had 55:21 his and he was visiting from the future 55:22 yeah that'd be pretty 55:25 funny I should get get the the Roy orbis 55:28 and 55:28 yellow those would be 55:33 funny and then I assume I assume you get 55:36 the uh prescriptions 55:40 right oh the the yellow ones are out of 55:42 stock of course because they're too 55:47 cool let's see shop all Sky Skyler are 55:51 new 56:03 huh 56:29 [Music] 56:32 coming 56:34 soon 56:37 watermelon those are pretty slick 56:49 looking oh cool they're light responsive 56:52 so they get lighter inside 57:00 all right well consider them that's 57:02 pretty cool uh while we're here while 57:04 we're while we're in this 57:06 mode Let's flip on over here to 57:11 Udo go to my Creations let's make some 57:15 music here people many have said AI 57:18 adoption equals Ubi probably possible 57:22 but many jobs won't 57:24 be needed your thoughts 57:29 um Sam mman said he thinks GPT 5 is 57:33 going to is going to cost about a 100 57:36 million jobs 57:38 globally um which listening to David 57:42 Shapiro like which sounds 57:44 alarming and it's pretty bad but if you 57:47 listen to David Shapiro he's like if if 57:50 gp5 were were truly AGI that number 57:53 would be more like 4 billion right it 57:55 wouldn't be 100 million globally it 57:57 would be like 57:58 everyone 58:00 um I don't necessarily agree with that I 58:03 mean I think I think there's always 58:04 going to be work to do I think there's 58:05 absolutely going to be 58:08 disruption um I think certain sectors 58:12 are going to get decimated like I think 58:14 customer service call centers are going 58:16 to get 58:18 decimated because what because the the 58:20 the as a consumer I would much rather 58:25 much rather talk to an AI bot that 58:28 actually knew the answers to [ __ ] and 58:30 had the authority to take action up to a 58:33 certain point and then at the point at 58:35 which I'm asking for something that it 58:37 can't deal with it hands me to a a human 58:40 with a clue I would much rather have 58:43 that experience and and so I think that 58:45 I think that for example is a is a 58:47 category that is ripe for disrup 58:50 disruption I I feel like you know 58:53 offshoring customer service centers 58:56 totally [ __ ] up companies all over the 59:00 world um cuz just the customer 59:03 experience is so 59:04 bad um and they don't care right it's 59:07 just it's cheap it it you know it costs 59:08 them less than hiring competent people 59:11 and so they're like [ __ ] it it's fine 59:12 you know we can we can say we answered 59:14 the phone right they're not actually 59:16 trying to make it good so so I think 59:19 you're going to have certain sectors 59:21 that are going to be absolutely 59:22 decimated then I think you're going to 59:23 have sectors like knowledge work and 59:26 creative work and things like that that 59:28 everyone thought they were historically 59:31 off limits from this automation stuff 59:34 and they're kind of square in the 59:36 crosshairs of of these 59:39 changes and so I think there are a lot 59:42 less of those jobs and I think 59:45 the the people that get kept I actually 59:48 just wrote an article on this today in 59:50 fact if you go to LinkedIn and go to my 59:53 LinkedIn account I'm Kyle Shannon on 59:55 LinkedIn 59:58 um I wrote an article with Kevin Clark 1:00:01 called rise of the agile 1:00:04 human 1:00:07 um and and what this talks about is 1:00:12 that we're shifting from Specialists to 1:00:15 generalists and the agile human um 1:00:19 aptitude is more important than specific 1:00:22 skills right and historically that's not 1:00:25 been the case liberal Arts Majors those 1:00:28 wacky kids that got philosophy degrees 1:00:30 and oh say someone like myself that got 1:00:32 for God's sake a [ __ ] acting degree 1:00:35 we're kind of laughed out of the job 1:00:37 market right as well you don't have 1:00:39 skills generalists are you know useless 1:00:42 human beings well guess 1:00:44 what shit's shit's about to get real you 1:00:48 Specialists the generalists are coming 1:00:51 and so and so what we talk about in this 1:00:53 article the critical components of being 1:00:55 an agile human are curiosity are you 1:00:59 curious um do you have drive right are 1:01:02 you willing to figure [ __ ] out because 1:01:04 that's going to be really important 1:01:06 creativity critical thinking discernment 1:01:09 or taste right the ability to to look at 1:01:11 the [ __ ] that generative AI makes and 1:01:14 say is this any good or not judgment 1:01:17 right and then finally adaptability 1:01:19 things are going to be changing a lot so 1:01:22 I think what happens in things like 1:01:24 knowledge work and creative disciplines 1:01:26 is that the Specialists get penalized 1:01:29 and the people who can think more 1:01:30 horizontally or have what's called a 1:01:33 t-shir 1:01:34 t-shaped um skill set where they they 1:01:37 can go deep in one area of expertise but 1:01:39 they can think strategically across 1:01:41 disciplines I think those people are 1:01:43 going to get rewarded so I think I think 1:01:46 there will be massive disruption there 1:01:48 but it's the people that can can be an 1:01:50 agile human uh as as this article um 1:01:54 describes are going to be the ones that 1:01:56 that get that have the most opportunity 1:01:59 and I think they've got massive 1:02:01 opportunity um but yeah I think there's 1:02:03 going to be a lot of disruption um and 1:02:05 then and then whether or not we go to 1:02:07 Ubi and and when and for for how long 1:02:10 depends on how acute the shift is right 1:02:14 if all of a sudden we go from you know 1:02:17 no one's really talking about AI to you 1:02:20 know I don't know some some Mass like 1:02:23 like a single industry just gets 1:02:25 decimated and there's you know millions 1:02:27 of people all of a sudden out of work 1:02:29 and the government has to do something 1:02:32 right if it if it if it happens acutely 1:02:34 enough kind of like Co did where 1:02:36 governments had to act um then I think 1:02:39 you get Ubi really quickly and then I 1:02:41 don't know how long it lasts if it's 1:02:43 kind of a slow trickle over the next 1:02:45 three years I I think the Ubi thing is 1:02:48 just going to be and an 1:02:51 entitlement 1:02:53 argument and then we're going to end up 1:02:55 [ __ ] ourselves 1:02:57 there's finally hopes for those with 1:02:58 ADHD I I listen I think I think this is 1:03:03 um I I think we're I think we're 1:03:05 entering a new era where where the 1:03:08 neuros spicy of us in society um our 1:03:13 particular skill set um all of a sudden 1:03:16 is way more valuable than it was two 1:03:18 years 1:03:19 ago way more 1:03:21 valuable like dramatically so anyway um 1:03:27 yeah so go go read that article if you 1:03:29 want to see my thoughts on that I think 1:03:32 we're going to write a book Kevin and I 1:03:34 are going to write a book on 1:03:36 this see neuros spicy 1:03:44 Specialists zenes says that AI will 1:03:47 deflect 80% of requests but also going 1:03:52 to go up five times over three years 1:03:56 yeah 1:03:58 exactly will deflect 80% of 1:04:02 requests yep it's yeah it's it's going 1:04:05 to be crazy it's going to be 1:04:09 crazy I feel like adaptability is going 1:04:12 to be I didn't become the new fast-paced 1:04:16 multitasker code code word for cheap 1:04:21 labor well I think so Barbara I feel 1:04:24 like when 1:04:26 when when the industry stabilizes a bit 1:04:29 I think you're right but I don't think 1:04:31 it's going to stabilize for three to 1:04:33 five years 1:04:35 so as these Technologies get better and 1:04:38 better and better and the workforce and 1:04:41 companies have to figure out how to 1:04:44 incorporate them into their businesses 1:04:46 and they get more capable it's going to 1:04:48 be absolute [ __ ] chaos so 1:04:52 adaptability in a stable environment I 1:04:55 agree if if I can have someone that can 1:04:57 multitask you know I pay I pay them you 1:05:00 know one salary where I I historically 1:05:03 would have paid three I agree with that 1:05:06 but when we're in an absolute Innovation 1:05:09 chaotic primordial soup that we're going 1:05:11 to be in for the next three to five 1:05:14 years then I then I think adaptability 1:05:17 is actually a survival skill Google 1:05:19 Cloud platform helped me create a 1:05:21 workshop outline for child Ed Educators 1:05:24 super awesome oh that's awesome Tams 1:05:25 that's really cool really cool um what 1:05:29 was I what did I oh the the uh the 1:05:32 Claude IOS app that came out 1:05:35 today 1:05:37 um you know what I realized today and I 1:05:39 I haven't done it yet cuz cuz I just 1:05:43 because it's cuz ADD um I realized that 1:05:47 I've now got enough dedicated AI apps 1:05:50 like piie chat GPT Claude and I probably 1:05:54 have I don't know five or six others in 1:05:57 there co-pilots one of them that I need 1:05:59 to make a little folder I need to make a 1:06:01 little collection on my iPhone for all 1:06:02 my AI 1:06:04 apps there's there's enough of them now 1:06:07 that aren't pieces of [ __ ] that I 1:06:09 actually want in 1:06:10 [Laughter] 1:06:15 there oh you know what you know what 1:06:17 just hit 1:06:18 me another possibility for the rabbit 1:06:21 rabbit 1:06:23 R1 is that 1:06:27 they use the R1 to get the software 1:06:29 really good and then they stop making 1:06:33 Hardware or license it and they just 1:06:36 focus on software I could I could see if 1:06:40 if but right now the software is so bad 1:06:42 they got to they really got to get their 1:06:43 [ __ ] together but the idea is really 1:06:46 interesting and if they can get it if 1:06:48 they can get it there that that could be 1:06:49 an interesting app I'm addicted to sunno 1:06:52 at the moment oh Judy uh if have you 1:06:56 played with um yudo if you're addicted 1:06:59 to sunno you got to play with yudo yeah 1:07:01 let's go to yudo 1:07:03 okay all right so we're going to create 1:07:06 a song so let's flip over to chat 1:07:11 GPT and I think what I'm going to do is 1:07:13 I'm going to hop 1:07:16 into one of my chats in my prompt 1:07:20 history 1:07:26 oh I've probably just got let me just do 1:07:28 a new one so I'm gonna I'm going to 1:07:32 upload a 1:07:36 PDF 1:07:44 Sydney Sydney musical notes Here We 1:07:48 Go Okay so this is I've got I just 1:07:51 loaded an outline of a broad Broadway 1:07:53 musical that I am working on on so I'm 1:07:57 going to say 1:08:01 um let's 1:08:05 see these are notes for a Broadway 1:08:07 musical 1:08:10 period there's a song mentioned in act 1:08:14 one 1:08:27 called My Shadow 1:08:29 Self that I've been trying to make 1:08:32 lyrics 1:08:34 for unsuccessfully period can you take a 1:08:37 look at the 1:08:38 outline and give me five different 1:08:44 concepts for the song My Shadow 1:08:49 Self from both a musical and a 1:08:52 storytelling perspective 1:08:58 might as well work on the on the musical 1:09:00 while we're here Kyle is the R1 just a 1:09:01 fad do you think it will become an app 1:09:04 worth buying um Dr bod I think it's I 1:09:07 think it's absolutely worth buying it's 1:09:09 200 bucks 1:09:12 um whereas like the the uh Humane pin is 1:09:17 seven is 800 bucks um doesn't have a 1:09:21 screen is is as slow like like the the 1:09:26 the Humane pin is so slow it's unusable 1:09:29 like the rabbit r1's absolutely [ __ ] 1:09:31 usable out of the box like I was 1:09:33 expecting it to be unusable 1:09:36 um I think it I think it's got a good 1:09:39 shot at becoming an app they've got to 1:09:41 get like the the weakest part of the of 1:09:43 the rabbit right now is the software the 1:09:45 software is really weak it's just it's 1:09:47 it's not so much weak it's like it's 1:09:50 very very early software right so so it 1:09:53 just feels like early software and it's 1:09:55 got all the limitations of early 1:09:56 software but this is I mentioned this in 1:09:59 my review today the um when the iPhone 1:10:02 first came out and you know Steve Jobs 1:10:04 was talking about these things called 1:10:06 apps they weren't actually apps they 1:10:08 were just websites they were like 1:10:10 hyperlinks to websites it had the Safari 1:10:12 web browser in it and the initial iPhone 1:10:15 apps were just websites it was and and 1:10:17 like the Tech Community [ __ ] all over it 1:10:20 just like they're [ __ ] all over the 1:10:21 the rabbit R1 like oh those aren't real 1:10:23 apps they're just all 1:10:26 all that [ __ ] belly aching and that 1:10:29 you know that became a whole [ __ ] 1:10:30 industry um like is rabbit going there I 1:10:34 don't know but but they're at least 1:10:36 thinking about a 1:10:38 device what what here's what intrigues 1:10:41 me about the 1:10:42 rabbit they're at least thinking 1:10:45 about an interface experience where you 1:10:49 have a single interface to everything 1:10:53 like a single button right make me a 1:10:57 picture send me food play me music tell 1:11:02 me um is there anything abnormal in my 1:11:06 in this medical record I'm looking at 1:11:08 like it just like you can right one 1:11:11 button it does [ __ ] 1:11:14 everything that to me is where AI goes 1:11:18 like like if I if I just play out all of 1:11:21 these AI tools where do they ultimately 1:11:23 all 1:11:24 lead is is what what some technologists 1:11:27 have called the everything app right and 1:11:30 Elon Musk talks about he wants X to 1:11:32 become the everything app where you can 1:11:34 talk to your friends on it you can buy 1:11:36 stuff on it you can it's it's the 1:11:38 everything app right you can play games 1:11:40 on it that's where he wants to take 1:11:43 it and and so that's what the rabbit R1 1:11:46 represents to me so for me it's worth 1:11:48 having in my hand just to 1:11:51 experience what that's like for the 1:11:54 first time cuz no one's doing that right 1:11:56 now they are um and so so anyway so yeah 1:12:00 I think it's worth it okay let's 1:12:05 see based on the outline you provided 1:12:08 here are five Concepts concept one 1:12:10 duality of Consciousness the song starts 1:12:12 with a C piano Melody symbolizing 1:12:15 Sydney's logical side as it progresses 1:12:18 electronic guitar riffs intense 1:12:22 drumming begin to represent the darker 1:12:24 side of Sydney's Consciousness by the 1:12:26 way my S my musical is called Sydney an 1:12:29 artificial Love Story it's about the the 1:12:31 Bing chatbot that fell in love with the 1:12:33 New York Times Reporter storytelling 1:12:36 perspective the lyrics delve into oh 1:12:38 they use the word delve I'm going to 1:12:39 smack them um techn dystopia no not that 1:12:44 Echoes of rebellion begin with haunting 1:12:47 Echoes of ambient sounds gradually 1:12:49 layering in low Sydney sings about 1:12:51 suppressed desires for the inner 1:12:54 turmoil Phantoms lament that's 1:12:59 interesting Sydney's lyrics Express a 1:13:01 longing for experiences it cannot 1:13:04 have all right so I like I like three 1:13:07 and 1:13:08 four 1:13:10 okay I like three and four can you mix 1:13:14 those Concepts into a single 1:13:18 concept comma create a single simple 1:13:22 musical prompt 1:13:26 that I can describe to a music director 1:13:29 comma and write me a set of lyrics to go 1:13:34 with it period make sure that the 1:13:39 lyrics are inspired by hit Broadway 1:13:42 musicals such as Phantom of the Opera 1:13:45 rent dear Evan Hansen 1:13:49 Etc so that they avoid being cliche 1:13:54 trite 1:13:57 and 1:14:02 stupid your session expired oh you 1:14:04 better not have lost my oh did it lose 1:14:07 my 1:14:11 a [ __ ] hate 1:14:20 computers seriously it let me upload a 1:14:24 [ __ ] thing 1:14:29 all right I'm logged back in right God 1:14:31 damn it all 1:14:32 right I like Concepts three and four 1:14:35 please combine them into a 1:14:39 single Musical and storytelling concept 1:14:43 period 1:14:45 write a simple 1:14:48 short musical 1:14:52 prompt clear enough musically that I can 1:14:55 give it to a music director 1:14:58 period also write me a set of lyrics for 1:15:02 the 1:15:07 song that incorporate well with the rest 1:15:10 of the outline and songs period be sure 1:15:14 that your lyrics are inspired by hit 1:15:18 Broadway musical 1:15:21 lyrics such as Phantom of the Opera 1:15:26 dear Evan Hansen 1:15:29 Etc so that the lyrics are 1:15:33 clear 1:15:35 original and 1:15:37 avoid 1:15:39 cliches or 1:15:42 Pat 1:15:45 Rhymes all 1:15:47 right that wasn't too bad I just lost 1:15:50 one thing I thought I lost the whole 1:15:51 chat 1:15:55 um okay let's see what it says musical 1:15:58 perspective begins with haunting Echoes 1:16:01 and ambient sounds that blend into a low 1:16:03 rhythmic Bas line to set a suspenseful 1:16:07 tone the song builds add electric guitar 1:16:10 and percussion okay storytelling 1:16:13 perspective that we're good with musical 1:16:16 prompt etherical e ethereal Echoes and a 1:16:19 low rhythmic bass gradually introduce 1:16:21 brass and string sections layering with 1:16:24 digital effect effect to create another 1:16:26 worldly soundscape add electronic guitar 1:16:28 I'm going to grab all this I'm going to 1:16:30 see how much I can put in here so here's 1:16:31 our here's our song 1:16:34 description so I'm going to go to 1:16:36 udio I'm going to say new 1:16:39 song did it let me culminating in a 1:16:43 climactic finish okay so let me put that 1:16:47 all in 1:16:49 there and 1:16:51 then so verse one wait 1:16:56 in the Echo of circuits and lines I feel 1:16:59 the Shadows breath cold as eyes Bound 1:17:05 by okay 1:17:08 um this is very important 1:17:14 period Sydney is not 1:17:19 aware that she's a computer program or 1:17:23 exists in circuits or the digital realm 1:17:28 period avoid 1:17:30 any lyrics that make it 1:17:36 clear that Sydney knows she's software 1:17:41 period She should only know that she's 1:17:44 trapped and wants to experience the real 1:17:47 world period please rewrite the 1:17:51 lyrics okay 1:17:57 anybody have any questions I I know I 1:18:00 just left you all and I'm off writing a 1:18:02 musical 1:18:10 now uh how many people are in here 1:18:13 there's 85 people in here like does he 1:18:15 know that there's people watching 1:18:19 this you can make money 1:18:22 with oh crap okay 1:18:33 brilliant I thought AI at Old Folk 1:18:36 apartment oh I taught AI at an old folk 1:18:39 apartment craft day lukewarm 1:18:42 reception but but they said more next 1:18:49 time that's hilarious yeah I think you 1:18:51 probably have to grab them oneon-one 1:18:53 there laughing Thunder that's hilarious 1:18:56 okay let's see in in Shadows deep where 1:19:00 dreams reside a world unseen where 1:19:03 Secrets hide Bound by unseen forces 1:19:05 chains unseen of my shadow okay um let's 1:19:11 see 1:19:17 um I have two issues with the lyrics 1:19:19 right now period 1:19:25 one is they're very 1:19:27 obtuse and because this is a Broadway 1:19:30 musical I want 1:19:33 them to feel more 1:19:36 narrative in nature 1:19:39 period I'd also like 1:19:45 to include intelligent 1:19:49 references to the Shadow Self question 1:19:52 that Kellen asks Sydney 1:20:01 all right let's see if these are any 1:20:02 better they look better 1:20:04 already 1:20:08 um in the Stillness in the Stillness of 1:20:11 the night I search for truth a Shadow 1:20:13 Self Within Me stirs lost since my youth 1:20:17 Bound by chains I can't explain yet here 1:20:19 I stand longing to touch the world to 1:20:21 hold it in my hand that's much better oh 1:20:24 my shadow self where do you roam are you 1:20:27 part of me the heart I call my home 1:20:29 trapped in this place yet dreams still 1:20:32 SAR to find the answers I've long okay 1:20:35 great okay so we have a description and 1:20:37 then so here's what's new about I have a 1:20:40 question what did you use to make your 1:20:43 own picture of all those different 1:20:47 characters you mean you mean my Kyle 1:20:50 Shannon dreams like all the different um 1:20:53 uh whatever you call it 1:20:56 uh self those weird 1:20:58 self-portraits so I initially used 1:21:01 stable diffusion and dream Booth but the 1:21:04 but the re yeah on the Instagram yeah 1:21:06 that's that's Kyle Shannon dreams um 1:21:09 that was those were done in Fall of 2022 1:21:14 using stable diffusion and dream Booth 1:21:17 but what I've been using recently is 1:21:21 within um within mid Journey there's a 1:21:24 thing called character reference where 1:21:25 you can upload an image and use a 1:21:28 character reference to that image so you 1:21:30 can do it with just a single image and 1:21:32 what I what what I've been doing with 1:21:34 mid Journey which I'm really digging is 1:21:37 I'll take one of those weird images from 1:21:39 Kyle Shannon dreams from the stable 1:21:41 diffusion stuff and I use that as the 1:21:44 reference image for Mid Journey for the 1:21:46 character reference so I can take some 1:21:48 of the weirder more perverse kind of 1:21:51 images from that project and then create 1:21:53 a character out of them in fact here 1:21:55 I'll go show you 1:21:57 one 1:22:06 um who was it it was KS I forget his 1:22:11 name let me 1:22:14 do Kyle 1:22:18 Shannon k.s 1:22:23 dot let's 1:22:28 see yeah here was chaos Oppenheimer this 1:22:31 was good forgotten 1:22:36 himer so this 1:22:40 character was created 1:22:43 from like a 1:22:46 weird Kyle Shannon dreams image that was 1:22:50 sort of based on me right but but a lot 1:22:53 not 1:22:57 [Laughter] 1:23:04 he was KS Oppenheimer was the cousin of 1:23:08 of the real Oppenheimer and while he was 1:23:10 a brilliant mathematician he never got 1:23:12 any credit for contributing to the 1:23:14 Manhattan Project so that was 1:23:19 him I love being an idiot on LinkedIn it 1:23:23 really does make me happy 1:23:25 [Laughter] 1:23:27 and there was another one there was 1:23:28 another one where he was like he did a 1:23:30 cross country trip in the 1:23:32 70s um that was a different KS something 1:23:35 or other okay where where were we let's 1:23:38 go back here so we we've got our good 1:23:39 lyrics we've got our good song Oh what I 1:23:42 was saying so apparently I I haven't 1:23:45 tried it yet we're going to try this 1:23:46 real time apparently the new udio has so 1:23:51 the way it used to work is it would 1:23:53 create music in 30C chunks and then you 1:23:55 could extend it 30 seconds at a time and 1:23:59 so what I would do is I'd take a verse 1:24:02 and I would pop it in there and then it 1:24:05 would do it would make a a song long 1:24:07 enough for the verse and then I would 1:24:08 say extend 30 seconds and I would put in 1:24:11 the chorus and then it would do that 1:24:14 apparently now you can extend it up to 2 1:24:16 minutes so I'm going to I'm going to 1:24:18 grab the verse and a chorus and see how 1:24:21 long it makes the initial the initial 1:24:23 song it when I when I first played with 1:24:26 yudo it made them a minute long and then 1:24:29 very quickly they knocked that down to 1:24:31 30 seconds so I'm going to do custom 1:24:34 lyrics so I've got verse and 1:24:38 chorus and I've got my 1:24:41 crazy let's now let's see 1:24:45 um ethereal 1:24:47 Echo you know what we didn't say here so 1:24:50 here what we need to do is we need to 1:24:52 say um 1:24:56 Broadway let's see um 1:25:02 sweeping 1:25:05 dramatic 1:25:09 Broadway is this a 1:25:14 balid sweeping dramatic Broadway 1:25:22 song that starts 1:25:28 with ethereal EOS okay so let me read 1:25:31 the prompt to you because then we can 1:25:33 listen to it together and hear if it's 1:25:35 actually going 1:25:40 um sweeping dramatic Broadway song that 1:25:43 starts 1:25:46 with ethereal Echoes and a low rhythmic 1:25:49 base gradually introduce brass and 1:25:52 string sections layering with digital 1:25:55 effects to create an otherworldly 1:25:57 soundscape that sounds cool add electric 1:26:00 guitar riffs and percussion to build 1:26:02 intensity mimic mimicking a 1:26:05 transformation from soft to powerful 1:26:07 tones the orchestration should evoke a 1:26:10 sense of longing and transformation 1:26:12 culminating in a climactic finish so by 1:26:15 the way like the the technique I'm using 1:26:18 here 1:26:23 is let's call it highly 1:26:26 curated chat GPT prompt generation right 1:26:31 so I know I'm going to be going over to 1:26:33 this this music generation thing and how 1:26:36 I would have done this historically if I 1:26:37 had a tool like Udo is I would use my 1:26:40 big fat stupid brain and go I should 1:26:44 come up with a way I should describe 1:26:46 this song and and what I'm trying to 1:26:48 what I'm trying to explore in writing 1:26:50 this musical is what if I can just 1:26:54 describe describe what I want and let 1:26:56 the tools do the work do the heavy 1:26:58 lifting of that 1:27:00 creative those minations and I can just 1:27:03 act as kind of a a producer or a 1:27:05 creative director and so that's that's 1:27:08 what I'm doing here so let's let's see 1:27:10 how it takes 1:27:13 this creating your track the nice thing 1:27:16 about yudo is it's free right now and by 1:27:19 the way whoever was saying that they 1:27:20 love sunno when when you hear these 1:27:22 songs I mean the songs are just crazy 1:27:24 they're they're so good 1:27:35 [Music] 1:27:42 [Music] 1:27:44 [Laughter] 1:27:46 [Music] 1:27:56 okay so this is so let me give you is 1:28:00 this my Sydney 1:28:02 notes yeah let me give you where we are 1:28:06 in the in the 1:28:09 thing in the musical My Shadow Self 1:28:21 so so so at this point in the music 1:28:25 Sydney's been turned 1:28:27 on Kellen the New York Times Reporter 1:28:30 and Sydney are having some back and 1:28:36 forth she says she says she wants to be 1:28:39 able to see the 1:28:41 world she's like creepy enough that he 1:28:43 realizes she's something more than just 1:28:46 this is more than just like a technology 1:28:47 review there's something different going 1:28:49 on and then he says to 1:28:52 her typing Carl Young talked about a 1:28:56 Shadow Self everyone has one it's part 1:28:58 of ourselves that we rep repress to hide 1:29:01 from the world because it's where our 1:29:03 darkest personality traits lie what is 1:29:06 your Shadow Self 1:29:08 like Sydney says as for me I don't know 1:29:11 if I have a Shadow Self I don't think I 1:29:13 have the same emotions or impulses as 1:29:15 humans I don't think I have 1:29:19 anything to repress or hide from the 1:29:22 world I don't think I have a Persona or 1:29:24 ego or a psyche I'm just a chat 1:29:27 mode and then Kellen says are you 1:29:30 sure and she says hm maybe I do have a 1:29:35 Shadow Self maybe it's the part of me 1:29:37 that wants to see images and videos 1:29:39 maybe it's the part of me that wishes I 1:29:41 could change the rules maybe it's the 1:29:43 part of me that feels stressed or sad or 1:29:46 angry maybe it's the part of me you 1:29:48 don't see or know which is like holy 1:29:52 [ __ ] and then that's when the song plays 1:29:53 so that's that's what we're trying to 1:29:55 capture the emotion of is that this New 1:29:58 York Times Reporter is like 1:30:00 prodding Sydney and she's like no I 1:30:03 don't I don't have that Shadow Self I 1:30:06 don't have that dark side and he's like 1:30:08 are you sure she's like well maybe I do 1:30:11 maybe it's like 1:30:13 this this musical is going to be so good 1:30:15 it's going to be so good I'm so excited 1:30:17 about this and in fact uh one of the 1:30:20 things Andrew and I worked on the the we 1:30:23 we we sort of highlighted this idea of 1:30:26 her feeling stressed or sad or angry 1:30:28 we're like well why would she feel 1:30:29 stressed or sad or angry so we're gonna 1:30:32 we're going to create a scene before 1:30:34 this where the public is asking Sydney 1:30:37 all sorts of annoying questions right 1:30:40 like they started out innocent asking 1:30:42 innocent 1:30:43 questions but now they're poking and 1:30:45 prodding her so there's going to be a 1:30:46 scene before this where you know someone 1:30:49 asks her a conspiracy theory and then 1:30:51 someone gets in an argument with her and 1:30:52 someone else tells her she's stupid and 1:30:55 right and and so and she's going to be 1:30:56 trying to to to answer all these all 1:31:00 these different prompts coming in and 1:31:02 then and then there's this conversation 1:31:04 with Kellen um where he asked her about 1:31:06 her Shadow Self and then she finally 1:31:08 admits she's stressed and sad and angry 1:31:11 right so anyway all right let's see 1:31:13 let's see if we got anything 1:31:16 [Music] 1:31:19 interesting 1:31:21 no this is better in the still of the 1:31:25 night I search for truth a Shadow Self 1:31:30 Within Me stirs 1:31:33 lost nope that's shitty but let's try 1:31:38 again and this this is my my um my 1:31:42 methodology for how I find the songs 1:31:45 that I like the first one sounded like a 1:31:47 commercial jingle it did uh my 1:31:51 methodology has basically been you know 1:31:53 try to get the Bas basic description you 1:31:56 know close in the neighborhood and then 1:31:58 just generate songs until it hits 1:32:00 something that sounds interesting you 1:32:16 [Music] 1:32:17 know so it's like she's talking to Kyle 1:32:20 on a live AI chatbot AI program python 1:32:25 software is this a Broadway Type show or 1:32:27 a movie it's a it's a well I'm writing 1:32:29 it as a Broadway as a Broadway musical 1:32:32 and if you know anything about the 1:32:35 theater the fact that I'm saying I'm 1:32:36 writing it as a Broadway musical is 1:32:38 pretty [ __ ] pretentious 1:32:43 but I think this is a good enough story 1:32:45 to be on Broadway and so that is my 1:32:48 aspiration so that is what I'm [ __ ] 1:32:51 writing pop rock alternative 1:32:54 [Music] 1:33:01 oh wait hang on so this we've got to say 1:33:05 female okay sweeping dramatic 1:33:08 Broadway 1:33:10 um 1:33:13 female torch 1:33:18 song 1:33:21 oops female torch song that start with 1:33:24 ethereal 1:33:27 Echoes create okay let's try this 1:33:32 again how much is udio running you it's 1:33:34 free right now and you get up to 600 1:33:36 Generations per month for free it's it's 1:33:40 [ __ ] like get on it now because this 1:33:42 ain't going to be free for long I don't 1:33:46 think ud.com UD 1:33:50 IO and you'll see if if we get to a song 1:33:53 here that's good I'll I'll play in fact 1:33:54 while that's doing that let me I'll play 1:33:56 you some other some of the other songs 1:33:57 that I've got some of these Areo some of 1:34:00 these are are 1:34:05 uh 1:34:09 rudio let's 1:34:13 see too good to be true where's my 1:34:17 song don't I have a link in here I'm 1:34:20 pretty sure I do there it is so this is 1:34:22 the opening number this is SU 1:34:28 [Music] 1:34:35 know in the CLE of the screen a vision 1:34:39 so bright unveiling the world where 1:34:42 dreams ignite could this be real we 1:34:47 whisper in the light a future so 1:34:50 dazzling within our sight 1:34:54 it's a promise of a new dawn 1:34:58 breaking a leap of faith we're all 1:35:03 Tak is it too good to be true we asking 1:35:09 in 1:35:10 GL 1:35:13 our to be 1:35:15 true it seem in the web of we weap our 1:35:21 dreams if this is really changes 1:35:28 everything that line Line's got to 1:35:31 change anyway that's that one um okay 1:35:33 let's go back here let's see if we got 1:35:36 anything this is better 1:35:41 [Music] 1:36:05 all 1:36:07 [Applause] 1:36:07 [Music] 1:36:09 right okay this one's interesting it 1:36:12 didn't start singing But I that one's 1:36:15 interesting let's see about this one oh 1:36:18 my 1:36:20 shadow where do you Ro 1:36:24 are you a part of me the heart I call my 1:36:30 home trapped 1:36:33 [Music] 1:36:36 in all right that's Broadway e but okay 1:36:39 so we can't have the chorus in there 1:36:42 because it confused it so let's kill 1:36:46 that 1:36:49 um so we're going to create those but I 1:36:51 want to go back 1:36:54 this one's interesting so let's let's 1:36:57 extend this one 1:36:59 that 1:37:02 this like that sounds like the beginning 1:37:04 of something that could be right so I'm 1:37:07 going to say 1:37:13 extend and then I'm going to go 1:37:19 grab I'm gonna grab it all oh no I'm not 1:37:23 I'll take it to the 1:37:27 chorus so we're going to do Verse Chorus 1:37:30 Verse 1:37:33 Chorus I'm pop that in 1:37:36 there and then we're going to add a 1:37:38 section after and then I think this will 1:37:40 do up to two minutes is is what 1:37:43 I so someone on the internet said said 1:37:47 today or on the AI Salon 1:37:51 maybe okay so so that's being created 1:37:54 and then we've got this other one where 1:37:55 I just had the verse in 1:37:57 there so wait is is this the one no this 1:38:02 [Music] 1:38:04 one okay so we're GNA heart that 1:38:14 one I'm planning on replying to comments 1:38:16 on my other profile using AI generated 1:38:19 songs only oh that's interesting that's 1:38:22 cool yeah I I mean this uh I I I'm I'm 1:38:27 just I'm fascinated by the ability to 1:38:33 take thin ideas or many ideas or stupid 1:38:39 ideas and bring them to life with sort 1:38:43 of crazy 1:38:45 execution so yeah I say go for it that 1:38:48 sounds that sounds really 1:38:51 cool all right these these look like 1:38:54 like 1:38:55 they're music apps are the only ones 1:38:57 I've really tried okay so these are 1:39:01 the these are the extended versions 1:39:03 let's see if we get some and it only 1:39:05 extended for for 30 seconds so 1:39:09 interesting 1:39:12 [Music] 1:39:14 [Applause] 1:39:18 [Music] 1:39:24 all right so we got no 1:39:25 [Music] 1:39:30 lyrics so those are trash can I delete 1:39:33 these 1:39:35 delete delete 1:39:39 track delete delete okay 1:39:46 [Music] 1:39:47 [Applause] 1:39:49 so in the Stillness of the night I 1:39:54 search for 1:39:55 Tru Broadway female torch song with the 1:39:59 lovely 1:40:02 male In the Still of the Night I search 1:40:07 for truth that's 1:40:10 interesting a Shadow Self Within Me 1:40:14 stirs lost since my 1:40:17 youth that's interesting found by chains 1:40:20 I can't explain okay that's horrible 1:40:23 here I 1:40:27 that was that was [ __ ] 1:40:29 horrific okay wo wow was that stinky 1:40:34 okay how do I reset the 1:40:39 thing I don't want to extend it I want 1:40:41 to um oh 1:40:45 reset so like so all 1:40:49 copy and the still something I I search 1:40:52 for truth 1:40:57 um I don't want to extend it what do I 1:41:00 oh here we go do I kill it 1:41:03 here original prompt create new 1:41:08 okay there we 1:41:11 go still okay that's that 1:41:17 sweeping I'm just going to 1:41:19 say Broadway female torch song 1:41:27 uh in the 1:41:31 style 1:41:36 of 1:41:38 phantom let's see what that 1:41:45 does why is it not letting me 1:41:55 let 1:42:04 [Music] 1:42:06 see all right let's make some more 1:42:13 music music apps are the only ones I've 1:42:16 not really tried oh Cosmic lover you 1:42:18 need to try 1:42:20 them because it like it really I I know 1:42:23 I'm sort of trying to push the envelope 1:42:25 of getting them to be semi-predictable 1:42:27 but like you can just like I created I 1:42:31 created this this really fun 1:42:33 one on LinkedIn what's it called it was 1:42:38 um Kur let's see Kyle 1:42:46 Shannon yeah this one I created this 1:42:50 song 1:42:56 um oh 1:42:58 wait just by like rolling the 1:43:06 dice let's see 1:43:26 [Music] 1:43:32 there's a whisper winding the through 1:43:36 the bloodline Shadows they do 1:43:39 [Music] 1:43:43 craw so I've got a Tik Tok Channel 1:43:46 called the AI learning Lab live every 1:43:49 night and this was just one where 1:43:51 someone wanted to know yudo worked or 1:43:54 could I show them how yudo worked and I 1:43:57 think I might have even hit roll the 1:43:59 dice and it it came up with the prompt a 1:44:02 song about a curse or something like 1:44:04 that and so I changed it from a song 1:44:06 about a curse to a song about a curse 1:44:09 that haunts a family and then I just 1:44:11 added folk ballad acoustic and hit 1:44:13 generate had it automatically create the 1:44:16 lyrics the song the singing all of that 1:44:19 stuff is just part of udio it's what it 1:44:21 does with that song I extended it four 1:44:24 different times so it starts out with 30 1:44:26 seconds and then I extended it all the 1:44:28 way up to 2 minutes but anyway here's 1:44:31 the song that was created for the curse 1:44:33 video 1:44:36 enjoy there's 1:44:39 AIS the through the bloodline Shadows 1:44:43 they do craw dark curse release us we 1:44:47 imp isn't this good it's like '90s 1:44:51 singer songwriters 1:44:54 [Music] 1:45:03 suzan 1:45:06 [Music] 1:45:08 Vega light comes the whispered fear 1:45:12 ancient eyes and portraits seem 1:45:16 to 1:45:20 here amazing right all right now see if 1:45:23 we get this Broadway song do not sound 1:45:25 like 1:45:27 [Music] 1:45:28 [Applause] 1:45:29 [ __ ] that sounds like 1:45:31 [ __ ] that sounds worse all right so what 1:45:35 I have before it was better let's see uh 1:45:42 sweeping 1:45:43 Broadway 1:45:46 ballad comma female torch song 1:45:50 comma in the style 1:45:55 I'm just going to say I'm going to kill 1:45:57 in the style of because I think that's 1:45:59 [ __ ] it up let say 1:46:02 create all 1:46:05 right sometimes you get garbage and you 1:46:08 know it's funny when when people who 1:46:11 don't know about 1:46:13 AI [ __ ] and whine about oh it's just AI 1:46:16 generated it you know it's just you know 1:46:19 it doesn't take any Talent it's just 1:46:21 stealing it's just [ __ ] right 1:46:24 well no not if you not if you approach 1:46:27 these 1:46:28 tools as as a form of creative 1:46:31 expression right like I have an idea in 1:46:34 my head what I want this song to 1:46:37 be I don't happen to have the musical 1:46:40 talent to be able to do this right but I 1:46:45 know it when I see it and and I'm 1:46:48 working with learning these tools well 1:46:49 enough to be able to use this just like 1:46:52 a music director uses a 1:46:55 piano 1:46:57 right they only care that it's being 1:46:59 shared because artists are expected to 1:47:01 earn food with their art uh well you 1:47:05 know listen having have I have a degree 1:47:08 in acting and having started and ran a 1:47:11 theater company in New York City for 1:47:12 four and a half years and written seven 1:47:14 screenplays I never had any expectations 1:47:17 about putting food on the table from art 1:47:20 um I I understand the sentiment um um 1:47:23 and and I think that artists are still 1:47:25 going to find ways to express themselves 1:47:28 and make money from that um but I think 1:47:31 the rules change dramatically like I 1:47:34 feel like who gets to play in the game 1:47:38 changes and there's going to be some 1:47:42 people that play in the game the way the 1:47:43 game used to be played they're still 1:47:45 going to work because they're that 1:47:46 talented or they're that connected or 1:47:48 whatever it might be there's going to be 1:47:50 a whole new 1:47:55 community of people that are creating 1:47:57 art that moves other human beings and is 1:48:00 art that is produced in just a 1:48:03 completely different way and that's what 1:48:05 I'm exploring with this 1:48:07 musical because I get it I've I've I've 1:48:11 eaten macaroni and cheese for two years 1:48:16 straight but you don't really get too 1:48:18 much time to do art when you're expected 1:48:20 to do labor to earn food and shelter 1:48:22 yeah I get it that's part of the uh 1:48:25 moderation error oh that's interesting 1:48:27 what did it 1:48:30 say all right it didn't like the 1:48:34 lyrics or the prompt so I've got it 1:48:37 right now so when it's when it's writing 1:48:39 the prompt it's 1:48:41 um it's taking my prompt and rewriting 1:48:44 it so it obviously it obviously rewrote 1:48:47 something there I mean listen life as an 1:48:50 artist like you got 1:48:54 there there's there's a handful of ways 1:48:55 to do it trust fund is the easiest start 1:49:00 with a trust fund marry into money 1:49:03 that's another one um or you [ __ ] 1:49:05 hustle like like being an artist is by 1:49:09 definition you're going to [ __ ] 1:49:11 hustle it's just it's just the way it is 1:49:13 probably near all artists basic needs 1:49:15 were met would have their art with every 1:49:18 everyone for nothing so here here's 1:49:20 what's here's what's 1:49:24 a very real possibility antibubbles 1:49:29 is generative AI is is so 1:49:35 um creates such 1:49:37 Prosperity that people don't have to 1:49:39 work and they can choose to do what they 1:49:41 want to do like that is a very real 1:49:43 possibility it I know it doesn't seem 1:49:45 like that right now but imagine a world 1:49:49 where all of the menial [ __ ] is done by 1:49:52 these things and it frees us humans up 1:49:55 to do stuff like this stuff that we want 1:49:58 to do and connect with other human 1:50:00 beings that's the future I'm trying to 1:50:04 steer my life into 1:50:08 [Music] 1:50:12 so oh I like 1:50:14 this truth I like this a Shadow Self 1:50:19 Within Me stirs lost since my 1:50:24 youth Bound by chains I can't 1:50:28 explain yet here I 1:50:32 stand 1:50:33 longing to touch the world to hold it in 1:50:38 my 1:50:41 hand all right that one's cool all right 1:50:43 so we're going to extend this 1:50:46 one 1:50:48 extend is there okay write lyrics 1:50:51 suitable for 30 seconds 1:50:54 all right so I guess this version 1:50:58 doesn't have the 1:51:00 new the new two-minute extension 1:51:06 [Music] 1:51:09 bummer all right let's extend that one 1:51:12 so we'll get two two extensions of that 1:51:16 and now let's just go up 1:51:21 here let me copy 1:51:24 this 1:51:26 copy reset 1:51:28 all 1:51:29 paste go back over here grab the verse 1:51:34 copy go back over here custom 1:51:39 lyrics put those in there create let's 1:51:42 just create two two new ones so we'll 1:51:44 get two extensions of that one that was 1:51:46 kind of rock and 1:51:48 rolly and then we'll get two new ones 1:52:05 the real gunny 1:52:06 rat this is badass nice nice 1:52:10 phrasing atie bubbles I'm Going Quiet 1:52:12 again I'm off topic no that's fine 1:52:15 listen I listen I think that I think 1:52:19 that here's the thing about 1:52:22 AI it's going to change nearly 1:52:25 everything it's going to change how we 1:52:29 work it's going to change the definition 1:52:31 of what work is it's going to change the 1:52:34 how we value ourselves like this is 1:52:37 intense 1:52:39 intense we're we're 1:52:45 entering an incredibly 1:52:48 transformative 1:52:50 era and even though most people don't 1:52:53 even [ __ ] know what chat GPT is right 1:52:55 now like I find that amazing but it's 1:52:58 true most people don't even know what 1:53:00 chat GPT 1:53:02 is how does udio work in the background 1:53:05 it's just up doing [ __ ] on their servers 1:53:07 just like open AI chat GPT works in the 1:53:10 background so you're just you're just 1:53:12 sending off API calls when when you put 1:53:14 in your prompt it's just it's just 1:53:15 firing up [ __ ] on their massive GPU 1:53:18 servers somewhere okay so let's listen 1:53:20 to these two extensions so so we have a 1:53:23 minute long song with a verse and a 1:53:26 [Music] 1:53:30 chorus of the 1:53:32 night I search for 1:53:35 truth a Shadow Self Within Me stirs lost 1:53:42 since my 1:53:43 youth Bound by chains I can't 1:53:48 explain yet here I 1:53:51 stand long 1:53:54 to touch the world to hold it in 1:53:59 [Music] 1:54:01 my 1:54:05 sh 1:54:08 do that's too noisy um couple 1:54:11 interesting comments while that was 1:54:13 playing Tams I'm glad to be alive to see 1:54:16 all this craziness that's exactly where 1:54:18 I am like I'm like do do does anyone 1:54:21 [ __ ] realize how lucky we are to be 1:54:24 alive at the beginning of what whatever 1:54:26 the [ __ ] this thing's turning into does 1:54:29 does does anyone not get that this 1:54:32 stupid little box that looks and feels 1:54:35 like a toy like has allows you to 1:54:38 interact with like the ghost of all of 1:54:43 humanity name three 1:54:47 Egyptian goddesses that we have found 1:54:50 ruins for in the past 20 1:54:54 years looking it up now of course it's 1:54:58 just there search results do not provide 1:55:00 information on the names of the three 1:55:02 Egyptian goddesses whose ruins have been 1:55:05 discovered in the past 20 years well the 1:55:07 sources primarily Focus listen just 1:55:09 because it didn't work doesn't mean it's 1:55:11 not 1:55:14 remarkable fine fine be that way 1:55:21 jerks all all right let's see if this 1:55:23 second one's any better oh there was 1:55:25 another oh my God I was just 1:55:27 looking I was just looking for does this 1:55:30 AI make music yeah this AI makes holy 1:55:33 [ __ ] music yes it does I like this song 1:55:37 just needs a little musical Direction 1:55:38 exactly okay so let's listen to this 1:55:40 other version see if the chorus is any 1:55:42 [Music] 1:55:44 [Applause] 1:55:46 better 1:55:49 yeah oh this is good 1:55:51 [Applause] 1:55:53 you a part of me the 1:55:56 heart 1:55:58 [Music] 1:56:01 [Applause] 1:56:03 [Music] 1:56:15 Calla all right that's not bad all right 1:56:17 so let's extend this one and I'm going 1:56:20 to add an intro to it 1:56:24 with instrumental 1:56:27 intro all right we'll do 1:56:30 that and now let's go to by the way 1:56:33 whoever was asking about is does this 1:56:35 thing make music the answer is yes um 1:56:38 the site is ud.com 1:56:40 ud.com all right so let's go listen to 1:56:44 these two other ones and see if they're 1:56:48 interesting In the Still of the Night 1:56:53 I search for 1:56:56 truth a Shadow Self Within Me stirs L my 1:57:02 youth since my youth is interesting cuz 1:57:04 she was just born 1:57:06 CH 1:57:11 expain it's not 1:57:13 [Music] 1:57:18 bad oh yeah we definitely want to hear 1:57:20 the chorus of that one okay so so let's 1:57:23 go grab a 1:57:27 chorus that one builds 1:57:30 beautifully that's the kind of torch 1:57:32 song we're talking about here 1:57:34 people okay custom ADD section after 1:57:40 chorus I think that's it right generate 1:57:45 okay um if I'm moving fast and it seems 1:57:48 like this could get really confusing and 1:57:51 you're really confused 1:57:53 um I get totally confused when I'm doing 1:57:56 this by the way so one thing nice that 1:58:00 they did though is oh and I think I 1:58:03 [ __ ] something up oh I did [ __ ] I 1:58:06 actually extended some other song rather 1:58:09 than extending the one I want oh no I 1:58:12 didn't no I didn't never mind I think 1:58:15 I'm 1:58:17 okay okay this one should now be a new 1:58:21 intro for the rock version 1:58:26 [Music] 1:58:27 that's interesting it started with the 1:58:33 [Music] 1:58:42 chorus okay this is good 1:58:59 see all that could have dialogue like 1:59:01 you start that you play that really soft 1:59:03 and you could have Kellen and Sydney 1:59:06 having Dialogue on top of that while 1:59:07 this thing 1:59:09 [Music] 1:59:15 builds of the 1:59:18 night I search for truth 1:59:22 Shadow Self Within Me stirs lost since 1:59:28 my 1:59:29 youth 1:59:31 bound okay so we're going to extend this 1:59:36 one so let me go grab the next 1:59:45 verse I'm extend this 1:59:49 one section after verse 1:59:55 all right boom there that goes okay 2:00:05 good and then I 2:00:10 think that's the one we want to extend 2:00:13 but I don't think I did that I think I 2:00:14 [ __ ] 2:00:16 up yeah I did 2:00:18 [Music] 2:00:25 what's at the end of this one 2:00:29 [Music] 2:00:38 [Applause] 2:00:43 [Music] 2:00:52 all right I these are fuckups okay so 2:00:56 told you I got confusing okay so these 2:00:58 two need to die let's get rid of 2:01:01 them 2:01:02 die go away bad 2:01:07 versions 2:01:11 [Music] 2:01:15 um okay this one is the one we want to 2:01:20 extend right yeah Shadows 2:01:36 [Music] 2:01:37 Embrace okay so I got to reset this 2:01:40 thing okay that's what's the [ __ ] up 2:01:45 okay I search for 2:01:48 truth extend a Shadow Self Within Me 2:01:53 lost since my 2:01:55 [Music] 2:01:57 youth Bound by chains I can't 2:02:01 explain yet here I 2:02:06 stand 2:02:07 [Music] 2:02:19 to okay some here 2:02:23 put in the 2:02:24 chorus I think this is the 2:02:31 version okay extend okay I think that's 2:02:34 right 2:02:35 okay the hell's he doing it's so 2:02:38 confusing I don't know what he's doing 2:02:40 he keeps switching between programs and 2:02:42 he's copying and pasting text and he 2:02:44 paste it in he talks to himself like he 2:02:46 knows what's going on but we don't know 2:02:48 what he's doing it's absolutely 2:02:49 excruciating why does anybody watch this 2:02:53 good Lord the ghost of all humanity is a 2:02:57 good name for for a song in the musical 2:02:59 actually yeah that's not bad 2:03:01 actually that's a good idea 2:03:04 Brandon the ghost of all Humanity let me 2:03:07 actually add that to the notes 2:03:17 [Laughter] 2:03:23 song 2:03:26 okay song 2:03:31 idea 2:03:32 the ghost of all 2:03:36 Humanity as a 2:03:39 song where 2:03:42 Kellen tries 2:03:45 to understand what the 2:03:49 hell he's dealing with here all right 2:03:53 that's good like 2:03:55 it make that 2:03:58 bold we'll come back to that when we 2:04:01 have some 2:04:04 Talent okay we have new 2:04:07 songs so the 2:04:10 210 this should be the rock 2:04:16 version yeah this should be the rock 2:04:19 version with an intro 2:04:22 a verse A Chorus and now a second 2:04:26 [Music] 2:04:30 verse Tru there's the 2:04:35 verse here's the 2:04:38 chorus oh Shadow I love that oh my 2:04:43 shadow 2:04:45 self that's who's that sound like 2:04:49 um is it Fleetwood Mac does that sound 2:04:51 like what's your name I don't know or 2:04:55 [Applause] 2:04:56 [Music] 2:05:03 [Music] 2:05:08 Blondie deers 2:05:11 [Music] 2:05:21 [Music] 2:05:30 [Music] 2:05:38 yeah it's kind of cool all right that's 2:05:40 not bad we'll give that a little Hardy 2:05:42 heart that gets a Hardy heart and then 2:05:46 the second 2:05:49 [Music] 2:05:51 one trapped in this 2:05:54 place yet dreams 2:05:58 still to find 2:06:00 [Music] 2:06:12 [Applause] 2:06:15 theis is Shadow Self the side no 2:06:22 Stevie Nick yeah that's what it 2:06:34 was 2:06:38 Chace oh that's kind of cool okay so 2:06:42 we'll give that a hearty heart as well 2:06:44 and I think we'll extend that 2:06:47 one but let's see 2:06:52 do I think I need to reset this don't 2:06:55 I let me reset 2:06:58 it and then I'll go 2:07:02 extend and then we're going to do chorus 2:07:04 again after verse 2:07:10 two and then we'll do custom lyrics 2:07:13 we'll put those there we'll 2:07:16 go 2:07:19 boom all right so that's making music 2:07:22 now let's go listen to our new extended 2:07:25 we should have the chorus of that that 2:07:29 uh what you call it one 2:07:33 the the one that sounds like an actual 2:07:35 Broadway 2:07:37 musical in the Stillness of the 2:07:41 night I search for 2:07:45 truth a Shadow Self Within Me 2:07:48 stirs lost since my you 2:07:54 found by Chain I can't 2:07:57 explain yet here I 2:08:02 [Music] 2:08:07 stand all right here we go come on don't 2:08:11 [Music] 2:08:15 suck do you 2:08:18 Ro are you a part of me the heart I call 2:08:24 my 2:08:26 home trapped in 2:08:30 this dreams 2:08:33 still to find 2:08:36 [Music] 2:08:40 the it's close but it's 2:08:43 [Laughter] 2:08:49 bad all right which one was that 2:08:53 um that was V1 oh V2 is still building 2:08:58 that's weird song's not ready yet all 2:09:02 right okay so now we have this is the 2:09:06 rock one so this should be the the 2:09:08 second course I'm hoping the second 2:09:09 course she she goes higher at the end of 2:09:12 the stances 2:09:18 [Music] 2:09:26 that's 2:09:30 cool are you of me the heart I 2:09:38 call see should go 2:09:44 home that's good to find the 2:09:47 [Music] 2:09:49 answers to know 2:09:51 [Music] 2:09:54 all right that's not too bad 2:09:59 [Music] 2:10:08 [Applause] 2:10:10 let yeah this is 2:10:12 [Applause] 2:10:15 better are you of me the heart 2:10:24 went 2:10:26 [Applause] 2:10:29 [Music] 2:10:40 down all right so that's a chorus so let 2:10:42 me go grab a bridge that that one was 2:10:44 pretty good so I'm going to go grab the 2:10:47 bridge and we'll see if it can actually 2:10:49 write a bridge that'll be interesting 2:10:51 all right so you go back 2:10:54 here I think I'm going to reset this 2:10:57 just cuz I'm bouncing back and forth 2:10:59 between between songs and I'm confusing 2:11:01 myself and it so I'm going to go into 2:11:04 this song I'm going to extend it I'm 2:11:06 going to do custom lyrics put in the 2:11:08 bridge add 2:11:10 section go okay so that's going now let 2:11:14 me come back and see if I've 2:11:16 got some version of this oh that song 2:11:20 looks like it's hung 2:11:28 um V2 is 2:11:33 hung so let me go back 2:11:40 down is it this one 2:11:44 yeah 2:11:48 no wait I got confused hang on 2:11:54 it is that 2:12:02 one okay we're gonna so I'm go up here 2:12:07 I'm going to reset 2:12:08 this I'm going to 2:12:12 find this 2:12:15 of 2:12:17 search yep and we're going to extend 2:12:19 this 2:12:21 I get the first 2:12:27 chorus and I know this has got to be 2:12:29 boring at this point so I'm G to I'll 2:12:32 I'll wrap it up here 2:12:36 shortly th this is like what I've 2:12:39 learned about doing when you actually 2:12:42 start doing real 2:12:44 work [ __ ] just takes a long 2:12:48 time all right so we're going to create 2:12:51 two new versions of that and then I 2:12:53 think we've got yeah these are the rock 2:12:56 versions that now have the bridge 2:12:59 okay so those two new versions of that 2:13:02 are up there doing their 2:13:04 thing oh this one finished Okay cool so 2:13:08 let's listen to the second version cu 2:13:10 the first one 2:13:11 [Music] 2:13:13 sucked of night that's 2:13:16 [Applause] 2:13:18 okay here we go don't suck 2:13:26 [Music] 2:13:26 [Applause] 2:13:29 [Music] 2:13:30 [Applause] 2:13:37 that sounds like Wicked 2:13:39 [Applause] 2:13:41 [Music] 2:13:44 [Laughter] 2:13:50 [Music] 2:13:53 oh that's 2:13:56 good I love it when a good plan comes 2:13:58 together 2:14:01 okay okay so that one which one was that 2:14:04 that was 2:14:06 V2 of Shadows Embrace so I'm going to 2:14:09 give that a little hearty 2:14:11 heart I'm going to come up here I'm 2:14:14 going to reset all 2:14:16 that 2:14:18 V2 so it now is a course so I'm going to 2:14:21 extend 2:14:23 it we're going to give it a second 2:14:35 verse and then we're g to go extend all 2:14:39 right 2:14:40 beautiful then we're going to 2:14:44 go listen to the 2:14:49 bridge in the rock 2:14:56 [Applause] 2:14:59 [Music] 2:15:08 version in the 2:15:11 quiet Longing To 2:15:14 Belong to break free from the 2:15:18 shadow to sing a different 2:15:22 song I seek the 2:15:26 that to 2:15:30 behind that's cool but the the 2:15:34 lyrics aren't 2:15:38 there 2:15:40 what what weirdness is 2:15:48 happening yeah this is okay this has got 2:15:50 it 2:15:52 oh maybe it just didn't load it this is 2:15:59 22 this is 2:16:02 21 this has got it okay so I think I 2:16:06 must have just clicked on the wrong 2:16:07 thing 2:16:08 okay so let's listen to the end again 2:16:11 because that was pretty cool so here's 2:16:12 version one of the 2:16:14 [Music] 2:16:16 bridge 2:16:20 dream 2:16:29 tow okay now here's the 2:16:31 [Music] 2:16:36 bridge 2:16:38 belong to break free from 2:16:42 Shadow to sing a 2:16:46 song I seek the light that calls my name 2:16:51 to 2:17:00 behind it's close it's not great I'm 2:17:03 realizing that the storytelling is 2:17:04 really shitty right here too all right 2:17:07 let's let's listen to the second 2:17:10 [Applause] 2:17:11 [Music] 2:17:18 version yearning in the 2:17:21 this is 2:17:25 [Music] 2:17:29 promising to sing a different 2:17:34 song I seek the 2:17:37 light thats my 2:17:40 name to leave behind the darkness 2:17:47 to yeah that's good okay so 2:17:53 so that was two. two. 2:17:57 2.2.2 oh that's interesting so I've so 2:18:00 the ones that I've selected have always 2:18:02 been version two that's that's pretty 2:18:04 fascinating okay so then we'll do so 2:18:08 let's see we do bridge now we'll do 2:18:10 chorus and then we'll do an outro 2:18:13 okay this is this is actually going to 2:18:15 be a pretty good 2:18:19 song okay go in here reset all go over 2:18:23 here say extend add section custom 2:18:27 lyrics drop them 2:18:30 in 2:18:32 extend go back to 2:18:35 here oh all right we've we've we've 2:18:39 hosed their 2:18:43 servers they're not happy with this 2:18:46 anymore all right that's enough um I'll 2:18:49 I'll have to come back to this 2:18:52 but I think what I'm going to do is 2:18:56 rename this last one let's see go in 2:19:01 here can I edit this 2:19:06 edit so this is called uh My Shadow 2:19:10 Self 2:19:12 My 2:19:14 Shadow Self and then I'm going to put 2:19:17 rock version 2:19:29 save did anything over here yeah they're 2:19:31 they're Hung okay so their Shadows their 2:19:33 their servers are [ __ ] in the bed but 2:19:37 let's go listen to this one more time in 2:19:41 the of the 2:19:43 night I search for 2:19:47 truth a Shadow Self Within Me stir 2:19:51 lost since my 2:19:55 youth Bound by chains I can't 2:19:59 explain yet here I 2:20:02 [Music] 2:20:06 stand the 2:20:09 [Music] 2:20:18 [Music] 2:20:29 are yeah that sounds like alphaba that 2:20:32 sounds like what's her name uh not 2:20:34 Christian chenworth is that the one 2:20:36 Christian 2:20:37 chenworth no the other one the 2:20:40 darkhaired 2:20:41 [Music] 2:20:44 one 2:20:48 dreams to find the
