8:34 announcements Google is a company of
8:39 Engineers largely for engineers if
8:42 you're if you're a developer like
8:44 they've got two kinds of customers
8:47 you're paying ads on their search engine
8:50 you're using their search engine so
8:52 there's the search engine customers and
8:54 then there's
8:56 developers and everyone else they don't
8:58 give a [ __ ] about so
9:01 my new strategy with Google is I'm not
9:04 going to pay attention to any of their
9:05 announcements because a lot of the stuff
9:07 they announce is like you know there's
9:09 more there's a more efficient tensor
9:11 flow algorithm in the Deep API of the
9:16 17th layer of the authentication schema
9:21 for strategic embeddings of
9:25 tokenization
9:26 bashing and you're like okay
9:30 and then you could you could if you
9:32 wanted to take that announcement over to
9:35 chat GPT and ask what the [ __ ] does this
9:38 mean but then it'll tell you and it's
9:40 like if you're a developer you would
9:42 care about this because of this one
9:44 specific problem that solves so here's
9:47 my new philosophy with Google if I see
9:50 people talking about [ __ ] that they've
9:52 released like out in the wild like on X
9:55 people are like holy [ __ ] this is
9:57 amazing which that's exactly what
9:59 happened with uh Gemini 1.5 Pro is they
10:04 announced Gemini Ultra and everyone was
10:06 like well this is a piece of [ __ ] and
10:09 then quietly a week later they announce
10:12 uh Gemini 1.5 Pro and everyone loses
10:14 their mind over it cuz it's actually
10:16 good so that's what I'm waiting for for
10:18 them so I'm not I'm not watching any of
10:20 their stupid conferences

13:50 song so they're going to have to start

13:53 they're going to have to throttle back
13:55 there how many songs they're giving away
13:57 uh before people start paying cuz they
13:58 need to get some servers up and
