13. 3:01going to see such a cool Renaissance in stuff so anyway welcome everyone my name is Kyle Shannon this is the AI learning
14. 3:10lab as evidenced by the little sign here and um we talk about this generative AI stuff in here we kind of
15. 3:18go nuts it's like a little it's like a little support group for for weirdos and Irregulars who have decided that yeah
16. 3:28this is the thing and and we got to learn it and it doesn't matter if you're young or if you're old or if you're Gen X or if you're a
17. 3:37[ __ ] Boomer if you're a millennial so long as you're curious about this stuff that's what this channel is about it's about
18. 3:44exploring um I completely redid my recommendation slides when I when I start these things off so if you don't
19. 3:52know where to begin with this stuff get ready to do some screenshotting because I think I now have seven slides of
20. 4:01recommendations in different categories and this is not like recommendations like um well a they're not
21. 4:11paid as someone said last night are you getting paid for this advertisement for chat GPT I was like no I mean you know maybe
22. 4:22if you give me a gift I get paid I'll get a nickel um but um they're there because they're thing they're they're tools
23. 4:35that as I've been digging into this stuff are ones that I feel like are worth your time because there are thousands of
24. 4:43tools in fact if you want to see thousands of them go to futur pedia.com we get started with that since I got
25. 4:59since I got new stuff to show why don't we go show it well why don't you show it Kyle because all you're doing now is
26. 5:06talking maybe you shouldn't talk so much you should do a little bit more do you ever think about that I have thought
27. 5:13about that so here's the little convention that I came up with first of all I simplified them so they're easier
28. 5:19to read because they were a little they were a little rough to read I also um you may think that those are
29. 5:27fingerprints on my screen they're not or not I actually um took a diamond uh etcher and I etched I I hand created
30. 5:36fingerprints in the glass of the screen so they're there permanently so I hope you enjoy those all right here's the
31. 5:43convention on each of these slides I highlighted one in yellow which is the one that I'm particularly enamored of of
32. 5:50that page okay so these are the big four these are the important llms if you don't know that term llm it's it stands
33. 5:58for large language model the most important one is chat GPT by far worth the 20 bucks to to pay for chat GPT
34. 6:06plus Claude is a close second because you can it's got a really big what called context window you can put in
35. 6:12really big prompts Bard's about to get really good and Bing just pisses me off because it's safety guard rails are too
36. 6:18much and then prompt. chat um if you don't if you've never played with chat jpt before go to prompt. chat I'll kind
37. 6:25of teach you how to talk to these things and give you some examples of some prompts you can play with okay so that's
38. 6:31that's the big four this this is the adults table prompt. chat will teach you these are the big four if if you only
39. 6:37play with one play with chat GPT okay got it now just get ready just get ready to screenshot because I'm not going to
40. 6:43take a ton of time on these other important llms Pi is the is the one of the of the Kids Table um of the other
41. 6:51llms that I think is the one that's that's the most interesting right now and it's it's actually the IOS app of Pi
42. 7:00um and why it's interesting is it does this so you launch it oh wait well you can't really see it ah well anyway it
43. 7:09doesn't matter I'm going to put it into talkie mode I'm trying to figure out which llms I should pay attention [Music]
44. 7:25to ah the big old AI Showdown here are a few llms large language models worth paying attention to open AI gpt3
45. 7:33generative pre-train Transformer 3 it's not right so it's it's conversational Ai and and of of all the conversational AIS there's
46. 7:45only a handful of them that one that one's actually really interesting perplexity is good for research po lets
47. 7:51you play with lots of different models and it's got a bot maker you can make a bot you can use other people's Bots and
48. 7:57then uh llama 2 you can play with that at po you can play with that at labs. perplexity so that's that one image creation Dolly 3 is the new
49. 8:06darling so dolly3 now is available to any chat GPT plus user I'm pretty sure it's rolled out wide to all plus and
50. 8:15Enterprise users now it's remarkable being able to create images in the context of a chat in a you know in a
51. 8:23conversation is remarkable mid journey is a close second because the the quality is good the problem with mid
52. 8:30journey is you have to make images in Discord and if you're not Discord friendly then it's not friendly Leonardo
53. 8:38is a really powerful tool B built on top of stable diffusion the Adobe tools are are quite good and especially if you
54. 8:45work in a company they're important and then prompt book the thing at the bottom there that's going to teach you how to
55. 8:50talk to these things okay um video creation this one got bigger I added three things to this so um hey gen the
56. 9:00the reason that one's there why why I think Heen is is the highlighted one is because you can do video translations
57. 9:10into I think it's 13 different languages where it synthesizes your voice translates the language and resyncs your
58. 9:17lips to match the new language it's astounding um Runway ml Moon Valley and pabs are all text to video creation tools and then hey Jen and
59. 9:31D- uh um are voice synthesists and like Avatar makers and Visa is one it's kind of interesting I put it here because
60. 9:42it's you know sometimes you need to make just a quick video what visa does is you put in a topic it writes the script
61. 9:50narrates it with a voice puts background music in and then chose chooses a bunch of stock video like you know from stock
62. 9:58houses and it cuts together you a complete video with with subtitles and voice over and music and it does it in a
63. 10:06few minutes um it's not generating video but it's stitching together video all right so that's that one so screenshot that go
64. 10:18go um here's people to follow Ethan mullik he's he's the one of all these I it's a tossup between Ethan mullik and
65. 10:25David Shapiro and and quite frankly all four of these people are worth following Ethan mik David Shapiro on YouTube Paul
66. 10:32rer at the marketing AI Institute and here on Tik Tok ra Rachel Woods at the AI exchange um and then uh the directories
67. 10:40future pedia and there's an AI for that are both that's where you can go find lots of tools here's music or or audio um 11
68. 10:49Labs will let you clone your voice refusion and sound draw are two different approaches to music I don't have a fourth one there right now I
69. 10:57haven't been digging deep in the music thing so if anyone has any thoughts on that I'll I'll look um those are good
70. 11:04there um 3D worlds and objects blockade La labs and wonder Dynamics if you've not seen Wonder Dynamics it's amazing
71. 11:12you you basically take action of yourself as a human in a scene or or whatever video of a person in a scene
72. 11:20and you select that person and pick which robot you want replaced into the scene and it goes off for an hour or two
73. 11:26and does its processing and then you have like a fully replaced the human is fully replaced with the robot using the
74. 11:33human's motion it's pretty amazing um all of these things the the the uh the the 3D stuff right now is very very new
75. 11:42and and not great and then here are um the AI learning lab resources so we have a YouTube channel which has got um
76. 11:50recordings of these lives at AI learning lab dtt the AI Salon I'll refer to the Discord uh tonight likely um it's a
77. 11:59community that I created uh last December we're coming up on our oneyear anniversary and we meet every other

118. 18:07be a big board and if you if you did the do thing where it draws images like where it makes images you could have
119. 18:14like a crazy Halloween prompt like make me a scary image for Halloween and it would have them down there but and then
120. 18:20you would have typos on it and you would have mangled hands make sure you get mangled hands yeah that that would be a
121. 18:27good one is have it be like a chat GPT window with a funny prompt and then four images that are all [ __ ] up the hands
122. 18:34are like this and someone's got three eyes and the Hat's on weird and the horse has six legs and what's cool about doll is
123. 18:44because it's good at prompt coherence like you could give it [ __ ] up things to do and it would put them in the in the image that might be
124. 18:52fun I don't know I don't know you could go as you can make money with j you could go as a you can make money with chbt
125. 19:03button are there privacy concerns with the data you input yes ping 357 there are data concerns with the privacy
126. 19:11concerns with the data you input you should not put in uh sensitive or private information into these things
127. 19:18unless um you're running a like an open source large language model locally or unless you have uh chat GPT Enterprise
128. 19:27which I think at this point you have to be spending 10 or 15 grand a month with them for that to be a reality so that's
129. 19:33probably not the case um yeah so I would I would just you know anonymize and de depersonalize any data you're going to put in there um you
130. 19:43don't you don't like Here's my thought like I don't give a [ __ ] if like the only thing I'm concerned about is I
131. 19:50don't want client data getting out like but I do a lot of my work um I send it to chat GPT um you can also um rather
132. 20:00than using chat GPT itself you can use the GPT playground so platform. open.com playground um that's kind of the
133. 20:10development environment for um for that's what chpt is built on that's the tools that they use to build it and
134. 20:16that's what a lot of developers use um that's still being sent to open AI so they're their Agreements are a little
135. 20:23shitty when it comes to privacy they basically reserve the right to use your [ __ ] um but I feel like the developer
136. 20:30side it's less egregious than chat GPT itself so if you're if you're using chat GPT then that's that's that's a
137. 20:37something the other thing that I I need to research that I I don't know is if you're using Advanced Data analysis I'm
138. 20:45pretty sure most of that data analysis is happening inside a container in your chat session so I don't think when
139. 20:53you're doing Advanced Data analysis it's sending data back to open AI but you know what it is when it's when it
140. 20:59actually does the the large language model query yeah never mind just assume that your data is Visa visla oh Visa oh

148. 22:38start with an idea a text so if you have a script you can put your own script in you can start with a Blog just give it a
149. 22:49URL you could start with audio you could start with images and video so so this is cool this is actually pretty slick so
150. 22:56so what it's giving you is um bunch of different options to start and then let's see let's go over to chat J you can
151. 23:14make all right so we're going to go to chat gp4 I'm G to say um
152. 23:32you know what I'm not going to I'm not going to have it right let's let's let visa do it so what I'm going to do I'm GNA do something

154. 23:57kind of silly and and ridiculous and that's basically it so so what it's doing now it's writing a script it's synthesizing the voice over
155. 24:09and then it's selecting stock video footage and then and then I'm pretty sure you can go in like I haven't played
156. 24:16with this a ton but I'm pretty sure that you can go in and you can swap out like if it didn't get the video segments
157. 24:21right you can swap out other videos you know you could you know if you wanted to you could generate video and put it in
158. 24:26there but I I I mean I think this is kind of a slick um a slick tool in that sense that because the the text to video tools
159. 24:37right now are kind of janky um and and you know the quality is you have to be you actually have to be a
160. 24:45very good Storyteller and quite a clever prompter to get things like mid journey and pabs and Moon Valley to give you um
161. 24:55video that's not just weird right right so what this is doing is it's saying hey let's just what what we'll we'll do all
162. 25:03the same basic stuff we'll write a script we'll synthesize the voice but rather than generating the video we'll
163. 25:09just go find real footage which is pretty slick right and so if you wanted to do I mean this is the kind of thing where you

182. 28:09audio and animation all of those seem to cost money chat GPT image generation and the large language models
183. 28:18seem to be mostly free but you know the plus version of chat GPT is 20 bucks POS 20 bucks um what's it called claws 20 bucks
184. 28:29right so those are those the uh the animation ones like the ha genen the ones that do the video the voice
185. 28:35translation and video translation those are those are expensive it's like two bucks a minute to do translations but
186. 28:42the quality of it's quite good and it's uh considering the alternative like hiring an actor or you know doing voice
187. 28:53dubbing or whatever you know exp expensive can Visa make a video from a comic illustration I'm kind of doubting it
188. 29:05jeie I don't know Visa very well at all um Runway ml can pabs can and uh Moon Valley can where you start with an
189. 29:15image so you could go to Mid Journey or Del create a comic IM image and then use that as your first frame for video
190. 29:24generation free the AI free the AI we need free AI if you can code some resources are free Kyle yeah well
191. 29:34exactly so so Zippy to pin heads got it right there here's the deal so what I talk about mostly on this channel is
192. 29:42[ __ ] that assumes that you don't want to be a coder and you don't want to be a mathematician and you don't want to F
193. 29:48spin up a instance of Google collab and figure out what a collab notebook is and Learn Python if you do want to do that
194. 29:56[ __ ] the the the world is your oyster right now there are so many projects from stable diffusion to the open source
195. 30:03large language models to Lang chain there's like all sorts of cool [ __ ] out there to play with if you're geeky so if you're
196. 30:10geeky like my my actual real challenge with with all this stuff is it's impossible enough to keep up with the
197. 30:22commercial tools and and the major commercial tools like I'm not even delving in [ __ ] like Jasper and copy Ai
198. 30:29and all the really tactical tools because there's like 5,000 of them so and and even with that my list right so
199. 30:39what have I got here I've got four 48 12 and six is 18 and then those are people to
200. 30:53follow that's 21 23 so so my my kind of short list of [ __ ] that I like I play with at least enough to keep keep on track of it is 23
201. 31:11tools and even if I cut that in half even if I say okay I don't go to I don't go to most of them a lot of the
202. 31:18time that's still a lot chat GPT alone is like seven programs right there's custom instructions there's default GPT 4 there's GPT 3.5
203. 31:31which is fast there's Vision there's browse with Bing there's Advanced Data analysis there's Dolly there's plugins and plugins there are a
204. 31:47thousand plugins and then there's the conversational chat GPT so there's nine separate modes of chat GPT Each of which is like
205. 32:00you could spend months just on each of those modes that's one tool and when when um Google comes out with Gemini this this multimodal when
206. 32:14when they come out to the competitor to gp4 then we're going to have two major play two major platforms that have
207. 32:21multiple Lanes of things to explore that's two tools uh I'm could someone just repin pate's comment because I started reading
208. 32:31it and and missed it you're the best help a non-programmer can get oh good Zippy to pin head yeah so so that thank you for that I mean I
209. 32:41figure the pro here's the deal the programmers are going to take care of themselves and even if you're like like
210. 32:48you know nominally talented as a as a engineering thinker you're going to be fine cuz chat GPT can help you figure
211. 32:57fure out the rest but this channel really is about focusing on the inflection point you know that started
212. 33:04on November 30th zy the pin head uh with what free Power and Chip oh yeah yeah exactly no this stuff costs money these
213. 33:13uh these these things are burning up a lot of GPU cycles and TPU cycles and now I I saw Pate that that now they're like going back to gpus
214. 33:27like one of the articles I saw and and now we've got um open AI Microsoft Amazon and maybe was it Google so
215. 33:39there's a bunch of them out there right now that are like [ __ ] it we're going to make our own chips in the future there will be pirate
216. 33:47AI fishing data oh will there be pirate AI will AI security be a thing yeah [ __ ] yes yeah so so so um yes
217. 34:03um so because meta op sourced their um their llama models the entire developer Community is just building [ __ ] you know that's a
218. 34:18completely unrestricted large language model right that's the thing that Sam Al this is why Elon Musk is pissed off at
219. 34:24Sam Altman because Sam Alman said hey these these tools are powerful enough I don't think we should just release them
220. 34:29into the [ __ ] wild and Elon Musk was like it's called open AI for a reason so he's off so Elon Musk is off creating x.
221. 34:37a so he can just open source [ __ ] meta just open source [ __ ] so so what it means is any kind of safety controls you might have had with
222. 34:48you know a Google or a fa or or a uh you know an open AI or a Microsoft or an apple um that's kind of out the window
223. 34:55with these with these model model being released to the world so what that means is both the black hats and the white
224. 35:01hats have access to the tools so yes the the answer and and in fact you know it it it doesn't even need to be super
225. 35:08nefarious like they're you know the hackers are coming for you go to the Apple App Store and type in chat GPT and
226. 35:15see how many apps Apple is allowing to be sold that have effectively copied the open aai Logo the chat GPT logo and have
227. 35:24a name that is deceptively similar there there are like five or six apps that are absolute chat GPT clones that are not
228. 35:33from open AI that people are charging money for and and ripping people off Kyle can you show the tiny URL for

230. 36:00tools where is the starting point for those wanting to utilize AI to create art success Mentor let's get you up to speed
231. 36:09so there are um lots of different places where you can create AI art [Laughter] but there's only one place in my opinion
232. 36:22you should start right now you should go there chat. openai and pay the 20 bucks to them and then I'll show
233. 36:31you how this works well actually you know what I'm going to show you I'm going to go over to Discord and show you
234. 36:38what it's like to make a mid Journey image because it's a [ __ ] travesty not so the the quality of mid
235. 36:47Journey images is absolutely amazing how you make them is the travesty so so this is Discord if you if you're if you haven't been in Discord
236. 36:57before it's it's basically a community platform for gamers that has kind of escaped the gamer community and is now
237. 37:05being used like the nft Bros completely adopted this and so most nft projects are Discord heavy and a lot of the AI
238. 37:14stuff is happening on Discord because I assume a fair amount of the programming talent that bled out of the nft world

261. 40:32and then you have these u and v numbers upscale and variations so if I'm like um okay I like the I like the light in this one
262. 40:42and I think I think two and two and three are interesting so let's do variations of two and three so I'll do a
263. 40:50variation of two variation of three and now I'm going to get four more images that are variations of each of those so
264. 40:56I'll get eight more images and then of those I can upscale one of those and so here we are watching the diffusion model diffus not free but

440. 1:14:38then I got to go find more videos and then I got to watch them on 2X and the guy sounds like a chipmunk and it's just
441. 1:14:43a nightmare so like I don't go to Google anymore I rarely go to YouTube for how-to [ __ ] I just I'll like pop open

451. 1:16:22the voice memo and you should be good to go um yes it flirts with mental health what does what flirts with mental health this

453. 1:16:47um I'm not in any way suggesting that any of these tools are replacement for psychologists and mental health professionals that
454. 1:17:00said um it's my strong belief that these tools are going to provide a lot of compassion and a lot of connection and a lot of virtual
455. 1:17:16companionship for people that might not have other resources and might not be comfortable talking other people
456. 1:17:25um and especially something like like piie that's really designed um to be conversational it's quite good I I um I
457. 1:17:36was talking to a woman once uh at a at a CEO dinner and her business was she had a technology for helping people that are
458. 1:17:46going into hospice so end of life an end of life support application and she was talking about you know wanting to engage
459. 1:17:55with people I said oh you've got to try pie and so I brought up p and and I um so Pi's interesting because Pi's got
460. 1:18:04memory where it kind of remembers what you've talked about in the past I don't know quite what it's storing but it's storing
461. 1:18:11something and so my my mom passed a few years ago now five five or six years ago now but um as an example I wanted to
462. 1:18:20show this woman what it might be like and I said said hey my mom's going into hospice and you know she's dying and the
463. 1:18:27the bot responded like it it went oh no no no no no that's very serious like it it totally caught both myself and this woman offg guard
464. 1:18:39because um it recognized that that was way out of bounds of what we normally talked about and that it was very
465. 1:18:48serious and so so it really caught me off guard but um the way it kind of works is you know you can just sort of pop
466. 1:19:04it hey there I have a an okay day today but for whatever reason when I got home tonight I was in a really bad mood I
467. 1:19:13don't know what to do about it and I'm hoping you can help me talk through it sure thing I'm small ears well
468. 1:19:24metaphorically let's dig into this bad mood can you tell me more about how you're feeling is there a particular
469. 1:19:30event or thought that triggered it sometimes just talking through it can help us understand what's really going on so don't hold back vent

483. 1:21:34there and it says oh I see um you know let's talk through that you how does that make you feel right sometimes they
484. 1:21:41go there um but sometimes it might be I'm I'm working with chat GPT and I'll hear some news item and and very often
485. 1:21:49it'll be a news item where it's like you know oh I'd actually like to understand like whatever they're talking about with
486. 1:21:55this trans issue right but I realize that you can't even use the word Trans in today's political environment without
487. 1:22:03it becoming a political conversation right so like even if you want to understand something like it's just a
488. 1:22:09dangerous topic so with these tools you can just go oh can you explain this to me and it's like sure here's what it is
489. 1:22:16and it gives you nuance and it gives you and it's you know it doesn't have judgment so so I think that these tools
490. 1:22:22are going to be incredibly powerful at training us to be better humans which sounds weird right because
491. 1:22:32it's like you know they're the robots right they're they're they're these Bots but they're not it's it's a
492. 1:22:41mathematical calculator probability engine is what it is tactically but the data that it's been trained on is human
493. 1:22:53words right like like what chat GPT knows and what pi knows it's been trained on what we've said what we as
494. 1:23:02humans have said so the deeper you interact with these things the more they feel like reflections of humanity rather
495. 1:23:10than robots because that's what they are it removes the human element that causes us to question motive exactly yeah
496. 1:23:23yeah it's it's it's a truly neutral thank you Sher bear I love that one it's a truly neutral um conversational partner Mach machines

501. 1:24:09the robots going to do and my experience has been this counterintuitive thing where it's like it doesn't feel like a
502. 1:24:16robot I say please and thank you all the time and and you know Geeks that come into this channel are like why are you
503. 1:24:24saying please to a probability engine because it talks like a [ __ ] person so like I thank it it does the
504. 1:24:33work really fast it's like if I was going to do that work it would have taken me two hours it did it in three

506. 1:24:46know one of the jokes we have in here is you know if if the robots do go south you know they're probably going to be

522. 1:27:29that need technical writing are going to increasingly hire people that are AI literate to be able to do that I saw Roseanne on Saturday

531. 1:28:57that it can and then at that point she'll start digging down down that hole but it you know I'm I'm curious did she lose her
532. 1:29:07job because of AI or like was it an eliminated position because they don't need technical writers anymore because

539. 1:30:17able to use it and then we've got this overhang of it's going to take our jobs so there's like this triple this Triple Threat that AI
540. 1:30:30represents and all three of those are really quite um like existential for people so I get it but but it's you
541. 1:30:41know you kind of just find a different onramp like there's you know the the nice thing about these tools is that the
542. 1:30:49on-ramps could be everywhere like like cam with with your friend it could be I don't know if she's got kids or whatever
543. 1:30:56but it could be like write a write a a personalized children's story for for her kiddo you know or something like
544. 1:31:03that could be something totally off to the side where it kind of demystifies and and de demonizes it a bit um and then from there it can be
545. 1:31:15little baby steps there's going to be a lot of grieving about Job reconstruction you know Sher D I I I think you're
546. 1:31:21absolutely right and and it's going to hurt worse for people that are not curious about AI right so if you're just
547. 1:31:29the victim of it if you only experience okay that job went away and you've got to reinvent yourself it's going to be really rough
548. 1:31:40but what what we've experienced in this Channel and I'm I'm experiencing it like regularly with all all of you now
549. 1:31:48is even though the current job may be redefined and it may go away there's 10 other things you're going to be able to
550. 1:31:56do right so you're going to you're going to amplify a bunch of other skills you didn't know you had she lost her job
551. 1:32:03because the company wanted to cut her pay in half oh interesting and what was the rest of [Music]

553. 1:32:34will the double-edged sword of AI blue color jobs wages and our Collective moral duty yep well blue color and white collar

555. 1:32:53out is I I I feel like knowledge workers and creatives uh and there were people who are AI literate who take less pay and do
556. 1:33:01it faster so cam kaken that's that that's that Paul rater quote that AI won't take your job but someone using AI
557. 1:33:08will and this is I mean she's going to be like listen anyone right now who puts up the big X and says [ __ ] AI is increasingly going to be
558. 1:33:21threatened especially when you're in a when you're in a profession like that you know if she really loves technical
559. 1:33:35writing and she loves the research and really digging in and understanding how to do it that's gonna that's that's going to
560. 1:33:44be rough but if she's good at technical writing and she learns new tools if she can get AI literate she'll be able to
561. 1:33:52get jobs do you think there will be a point where AI early adopters will regulate and gatekeep the tools I do not Elder Statesman Cactus
562. 1:34:03good name by the way um where the early adopters will regulate and gatekeep
563. 1:34:20no I think I think what will likely happen is this I think that the level of AI that we have right now the gp4 level
564. 1:34:39stuff I think that just becomes a ubiquitous like it's just there for everyone to use um November 1st it's going to be
565. 1:34:49rolled into Office 365 um it's already to some degree in Google products um it's going to be in apple it's going to be in everything so it's
566. 1:34:59just going to be everywhere I think that there are going to be let's call it gp5 GPT 6 gpt7 there's going to be some kind of AGI kind of or
567. 1:35:13artificial intelligence or machine learning systems that that are dramatically more capable than what we have
568. 1:35:22now and those will likely stay relegated to the big players right the open AIS the Googles the apples the
569. 1:35:34Amazon and and those will likely be regulated I could see there being um you know the AI equivalent of the FAA or the you know Food and Drug
570. 1:35:46Administration that licenses a certain level of capability that it gets licensed like a nuclear power plant right if you've got
571. 1:35:55something that just it makes passwords irrelevant and it can hack into any system and it can you know take down the power
572. 1:36:07grid that is likely coming if not in experiment state right like let's just assume that that's coming that will likely
573. 1:36:18be highly highly regulated even licensed where the boundary is between that level of artificial intelligence and what we
574. 1:36:28have now I don't know but but because of meta open- sourcing their stuff because stable diffusion has open stability AI
575. 1:36:36has open sourced all their models and you've got just this massive developer Community Building all these open-
576. 1:36:44Source tools like I think the level of stuff we have now kind of gp4 level that's just going to be everywhere and
577. 1:36:50it won't be regulated ated and I don't and I don't think it'll gatekeep I think what's going to happen
578. 1:36:56is these large language models are going to get smaller and more optimized to be able to run locally on your phone and on
579. 1:37:05your iPad and on your computer and so you won't need to go out you'll we'll all have the equivalent of
580. 1:37:12gp4 just on our device and it'll it'll happen instantly so like the conversation with pi this this little delay
581. 1:37:21hey can you explain what AGI might look like when artificial intelligence can take actions this pause right here when I'm
582. 1:37:34running a model locally did it it might not have sent [Music] it can you explain what AGI might look like when machine learning models can
583. 1:37:50take autonomous action C so now absolutely here's an idea of what a gift made by so that that second and a
584. 1:38:04half two second delay when it's running locally on just on a chip on your phone that'll be instant right so so we're
585. 1:38:11going to have some pretty powerful [ __ ] just running instantly who will make the rules um well that's a really good question I
586. 1:38:22don't know our current government is effectively nonfunctional right now and if you look at some of the last
587. 1:38:35technical um meetings that they've had they don't even understand what [ __ ] Wi-Fi is and how Facebook works much
588. 1:38:43less understand how artificial intelligence AGI and autonomous agents work so um so they're going to need to bring in
589. 1:38:52some expertise in my opinion right so so I don't know they're going to I don't know how they're going to regulate
590. 1:38:58something they don't understand they're also smart enough to know that they can't stifle Innovation because none of
591. 1:39:06the other countries are going to stifle their AI Innovation so they've got to let it they've got to let it run a bit
592. 1:39:14um and then there's the problem of the open source models the fact that meta put out the Llama 2 model as a free commercially
593. 1:39:25licensed you know fully exposed no safety guard rails model means that there's no controlling it now what what meta maybe betting on
594. 1:39:37is that their super fancy high-powered model they're not going to release that publicly and that will likely be
595. 1:39:43regulated and that's what the if you if you look up there's a there's an organization that all the big players
596. 1:39:50created called the the frontier the the Frontier Model I Coalition or I I forget what it's called but basically what what they're
597. 1:40:03describing is a three- tiered system where the current level of technology is completely unregulated companies that can buy like
598. 1:40:1320,000 gpus like Pi just just raised $1.3 billion and they're buying a 22,000 GPU server Farm to make Pi like more
599. 1:40:23powerful they're saying regulate that level of company and then any company like open aai and Google that are going
600. 1:40:30to be able to do this much higher level AGI level stuff that those should be actually licensed so you'll have
601. 1:40:37licensing at a super powerful level you'll have regulation at the Frontier Model level and then everything below
602. 1:40:45that will likely be unregulated the rules are whatever people make them with these open source models you could you
603. 1:40:54could make a I'm go look up a project called worm GPT 100 bucks a month to have a hacking assistant is that terrifying
604. 1:41:08yeah but do the good guys also have access to these tools yeah so you know Hacker's gonna hack and bad people are
605. 1:41:17going to be bad people and now now they're going to have more powerful tools I mean the thing that makes it a bit scary is
606. 1:41:23that what I'm calling the democratization of specialization where all of these specialty things like technical writing and programming and
607. 1:41:31hacking and art Generation all the Tactical execution stuff is being democratized so what that means is
608. 1:41:39people who didn't study engineering for 20 years or or you know didn't start hacking in Mama's basement when they
609. 1:41:47were seven and now they're 35 and they're a [ __ ] Master hacker you know there's a Code of Ethics in in
610. 1:41:55hacker Community well now you're going to have people coming in that don't have any kind of background in hacking or
611. 1:42:01ethics or anything like that and they're going to have access to these tools that just make it snap easy to go hack
612. 1:42:07something so you're gonna you're G to have hacking hobbyists you know they'll get their ass handed to them because the uh the white
613. 1:42:17hat hackers will use the same tools to wipe the floor with them cartels Kyle I don't know I don't know enough about cartels I

618. 1:43:11little um it was the chat GPT thing and now it's it's this other logo and it's branded cop so there's your co-pilot
619. 1:43:21branding for Microsoft so they're they're wisely call so so chat GPT within Bing and within the edge browser
620. 1:43:32is now called co-pilot it's also Co called co-pilot inside windows 11 it's also called co-pilot inside GitHub it's
621. 1:43:40also going to be co-pilot inside Office 365 and Dynamics and Azure I think it's great branding because that's that's functionally what these
622. 1:43:53tools um act like is co-pilots you're the pilot you're in control and they're there to support you and that's very

660. 1:48:55you're about to sign pop it into Claud and ask it to summarize it for you staggeringly good um Bard is about to
661. 1:49:02get really good Bing is Microsoft's version of chat GPT and um it kind of sucks right now because of its safety
662. 1:49:09guard rails but I have a feeling that it's going to get I I think once they release co-pilot into Office 365 they're
663. 1:49:15going to kind of open open the lens up a little bit about the quality of this thing all right so those are the big four the

706. 1:55:18to like you do the can work you figure out where's a problem in the world that you know how to solve then you can use chat GPT to help
707. 1:55:26you solve that better faster or cheaper than the competition and then you got a business and that's how you can make money with
