13. 3:04uh, Claude, um, Fable is out. Fable is the hobbled mythos. Mythos is the model so powerful they can't give it to us. They can only give
14. 3:16it to their friends. Uh, and [clears throat] then today Dario Amade wrote uh a really uh a bizarre a bizarre little screed that
15. 3:28we're going to be talking about tonight because I think it's important. Um, we're going to talk a little bit
16. 3:34about loops. Uh, because I tal we were going to talk about loops on Monday and then didn't have time and I said, "Oh, we'll
17. 3:43do loops on Wednesday." But now we have Fable, which is this new model from Anthropic that we should go look at,
18. 3:51look at some of the outputs of some things I made. Um, talk about that a little bit. Uh, and then we need to look at this
19. 3:59piece from Dario Amade. [music] And so we'll talk a little bit about Luke. You're about halfway down Illinois.

28. 5:46about tonight is I I think that the Frontier Labs are officially at the place where they can do nothing right.
29. 5:59And not because they're doing anything wrong, but because you have the full spectrum of people [laughter]
30. 6:11um that have expectations about these frontier model companies. So that's one of the things I want to talk about
31. 6:17tonight. and Daario put out this piece tonight and like David Shapiro's all pissed off about it and other people are
32. 6:24like it doesn't go far enough and you you can't they're at a place where they can't they literally can't win. Um I
33. 6:33mean they're winning because they're they're going to you know they're they're going to um you know decide the
34. 6:40fate of humanity for the next you know 120 150 years. And if AI is good enough, we'll still be alive for that 150 years.

45. 8:19One thing I'm really excited about that we're doing is in order to keep up with what's going on with AI right now, it's actually hard to
46. 8:31start at the beginning. There's no real beginning. Um, these agentic platforms like OpenAI codeex and claude code and claude
47. 8:40co-work are really important, but they're also really complicated and there's like you have to understand a
48. 8:48bunch of nested concepts to be even even be able to understand what they're doing. And as more and more people join the AI
49. 8:58salon who are just like, well, wait, how do I start with this AI thing? So, one of the things that we're doing is we're
50. 9:03building a track um for beginners. So, once a month, I'm going to hold one of these. It'll probably be on the the
51. 9:11opposite Tuesday of the AI salon meeting is what we're thinking right now, but we're going to start it in July where
52. 9:17I'm just going to do like an, you know, an AI 101 AI learning lab. Like, you know, here's the basic tools, here's
53. 9:24what prompting is, here's how they work. Um, we're also re-releasing I did a back to basics course where I did a five-day
54. 9:32course. Um, and we're re-releasing that in the community. Um, so if you're just getting started or if you know someone
55. 9:39that's just getting started, we're going to start putting a lot of content in there so that if you come into the AI
56. 9:44salon and there's a bunch of people talking about agentic platforms and harnesses and loops and all that sort of
57. 9:50which you need to deal with if you want to be playing in the the forward- facing game. Um, that becomes a
58. 9:58little exclusionary to people that are just getting started. So that's something I'm excited that we're going to do.

65. 11:20the loop open. I told Andy what loops were. I said, "There's prompts and then there's loops." And I told her what a loop was.
66. 11:26And she goes, "Isn't that just a prompt with a bunch of prompts in it?" Like, yeah, a loop is a prompt. [laughter]
67. 11:37I saw another video about loops with a guy who finished sentences. Yeah. See, that's not going to happen here. See,
68. 11:45what happens at the AI learning lab is we start sentences, we open loops. This is about loop opening. It's just like a series of U's, right?
69. 11:57[clears throat] Good. Good. There are human beings on the planet that close loops. That's not me. I need loop closers in my life. [laughter]
70. 12:11[music] Actually, you know, you know a good way to think about loops now that I'm
71. 12:26thinking about it. Do you remember macros? In in in Mac OS they're called shortcuts. That's kind of what loops are. You
72. 12:35describe a bunch of things in a row and then you do one short little thing. Go do that thing and it'll go do a bunch of things.
73. 12:43That's what loops are. So, we'll talk about that a bit tonight. But we're going to talk about Daario Amade's letter
74. 12:50saying that uh we're moving faster than the government, so the government should slow us down. That's what he wrote today. [music]

82. 14:04none of these frontier model companies can do the right thing because everyone now gives a Uh, Firefly, got it.
