8:16 of um they used to have what were called
8:20 conversation starters where it was like
8:22 you know write me a blog post you know
8:24 tell me a joke whatever whatever they
8:26 were now they have these colored buttons
8:29 and they also have the chat bar in the
8:31 center of the screen um if you zoom in
8:34 on the screen it actually goes back to
8:36 the responsive design they haven't
8:38 updated it so if you zoom in on the
8:41 screen it actually goes back to the old
8:42 responsive design where the the chat box
8:45 is at the bottom so I kind of like the
8:47 chat box in the middle that's nice
8:49 that's directly competing with Google
8:51 and apparently uh I saw today that chat
8:54 GPT was going to um was was supposed to
8:56 release um search GPT T their their
9:00 search engine um
9:04 sometime last week I think and they
9:06 chose not to do it so we might get it
9:08 this this week so it looks like we're
9:10 going to get something from chat GPT
9:12 soon maybe after the election who knows
9:15 um but each one of these now kind of
9:18 represents these are some of the
9:20 different features that chat GPT has so
9:25 you can create images right and says
9:27 create an image of my pet create an
9:28 image for my website
9:30 create an image made of felt okay so
9:33 we'll just click on that and let's see
9:36 can you create an image that looks like
9:37 it's made of felt I'm going for a crafty
9:39 textured

9:57 lovely and you can go in and edit did
9:58 you know you can edit chat GPT they've

11:19 and you've got gp4 the Legacy model um
11:22 gp4 with canvas is pretty slick let me
11:24 show you that so we'll come in here and

13:32 has already got them and then I can also
13:33 add emojis so let's just say I want to

14:18 chat so this was the felt craft for
14:20 sales so now I'm going to

14:48 origami and so there's that and so you
14:51 can switch back and forth between them
14:53 so that's pretty slick so there's the

14:58 so canvas is pretty slick lick and then
15:00 you can just close it and go back to
15:01 kind of a normal kind of chat and then
15:03 you can pop these back out into their
15:05 canvas modes you can go back in time
15:08 they've got some sort of you know
15:10 version tracking in here pretty slick so
15:12 that's that
15:15 um we'll do a new chat
15:18 here um 01 preview and 01 mini these are
15:21 the reasoning engines these are not
15:23 connected to the internet you can't do
15:26 dolly3 image generation you can't upload
15:28 files to them but they do this really
15:31 long thinking if you've got complicated
15:34 you know things you want to create or
15:37 problems you want to solve try those
15:39 they're just a very different tool um
15:41 and then here's the new search function
15:43 in the right here next to New chat is
15:46 this search thing pops up a little
15:49 window and I I know that for the embrace
15:52 the Jank book that I'm working on I know
15:55 that the robot style had the word
15:57 whimsical in it and I could never find
15:59 that prompt but if I type in
16:05 Whimsical let's

16:14 see quantum
16:20 mechanics Whimsical robot
16:22 watercolor that's it so that's my thing
16:25 that I this was Pro this probably nine
16:27 months old so so I've got error loading

24:00 it write code to analyze the data right
24:02 so it's doing the same thing chat GPT
24:04 does I noticed there might be some
24:06 issues with data parsing let me modify
24:08 the
24:09 analysis to handle the data more
24:16 carefully I find that this craps out a
24:19 bit let's see I see there are some
24:21 issues with the data parsing so now it's
24:24 going to do it in react it's going to do
24:26 it in the in the artifacts window so if
24:28 you haven't seen
24:29 Claude do artifacts before it's now
24:31 writing code over here and it'll it'll
24:34 actually um display whatever it's
24:37 writing here in a in a web view to the
24:39 right so I can keep chatting to the left
24:42 and interacting to the right so that's
24:43 very similar to um chat JP's canvas that
24:47 they just
24:48 launched these two are going head
24:50 to-head Claude to my dismay and
24:53 amazement is still not connected to the
24:56 internet which I find staggering
25:00 and it looks like all of these charts
25:01 and graphs are not displaying so I can
25:04 go um looks like your charts aren't
25:22 displaying what it say let me fix the
25:24 visualization by making a few
25:26 adjustments to ensure the data is
25:27 properly loaded and
25:30 displayed and by the way if you've never
25:33 seen these things do this it's
25:36 mind-blowing that it's just writing code
25:38 like this would be a great way to learn
25:40 code actually right tell it to do
25:41 something and then just look at how it's
25:43 doing it right it's putting these in
25:46 divs it's got x-axis y AIS [ __ ] going on
25:50 right there's some

29:27 around is it's like all of the tools can

29:32 things and so so it almost doesn't
29:36 matter which tool you pick it's just
29:38 kind of like what tool is good for what
29:40 you want to
29:41 do um how are these yeah they're
29:46 interesting now I did I did high high uh
29:49 High weirdness and high stylization here
29:52 so let me
29:54 turn those down
29:58 and now now we should get something
30:00 that's pretty close to what it started
30:04 with if if you if you don't play a lot
30:07 with mid Journey there's it's it's
30:12 weird one of the things that I'm finding
30:15 with all these tools is depending on how
30:17 your brain works the way my brain
30:20 works um I sort of figure out a way to
30:24 get it to do something decently
30:26 predictable and then I just follow that
30:28 workflow over and over again I tend not
30:30 to learn all of the features of the tool
30:33 um unless it's doing something that I
30:35 can't quite like if it's not quite
30:38 giving me what I need then I'll Explore
30:40 More um but but I tend to just you know
30:44 do [ __ ] that makes sense to me based on
30:47 you know how I learned to use it the
30:48 first time it's not a great way to use
30:50 software but whatever those kind of
30:55 interesting all right um and I want to
30:58 show you something else there but let me

35:09 could go find them but it's that's a
35:11 pain in the ass but I can grab just this
35:13 little low reses 72 DPI
35:17 image of me see how it's soft and
35:20 blurry and then I can go click on the 16
35:23 by9
35:25 thing and I can
35:30 you know move this stuff up

45:44 existential risk then that's a very
45:46 specific thing that needs to be
45:48 addressed that's a safety issue that
45:50 needs to be addressed but just because
45:52 it's going to change something just
45:54 because it's going to become better than
45:56 us
