17. 4:28150 50 Grand a year for college graduates in 1994 or 1996 or 7 I thought that was stupid $10 to20 million for a four-year
18. 4:43contract nuts it's nuts nuts nuts um let's go look let's see did it check the latest
19. 4:58news yeah the news isn't isn't caught up as much as the Twitter so the Twitter we've got Rowan Chang so Rowan Chang says the
20. 5:12staff at open AI set up an ultimatum for the entire board to resign and allow Sam Alman and Greg to return by 5:00 p.m or
21. 5:20else they quit and join Sam in his new company it's 6 it's 624 now um yeah so apparently mic moft sadan
22. 5:30Adella the CEO of Microsoft said he'll back Sam whatever his decision is I guarantee you because Microsoft didn't
23. 5:37know this was coming I guarantee you um that uh Microsoft was pissed Microsoft's got their entire the the future of their company
24. 5:52is completely intertwined with open AI right now and they didn't invest in the technology I mean that was was part of it they invested in
25. 6:03Sam all right hang on one sec um As the World Turns exactly we've
26. 6:20got we've got this image from uh from yeah this is what's happening this from being Not Afraid is that the
27. 6:38best never a d moment here in AI land AI land yeah I went a little early cuz uh when I when I saw this when when I saw
28. 6:47this tweet from from Rowan TW Rowan Chang uh that the entire staff basically threaten to quit if the board didn't
29. 6:55resign by 5:00 p.m. today they said they'd go a wherever he went it's just crazy um and then what's what's that
30. 7:06woman's name from yesterday is it Katie who else had who had the Scoops yesterday the plot
31. 7:28thickens the entire board could resign as soon as this weekend it looks like the board pissed off the wrong investors
32. 7:35in with the completely blindsided move so what what's so what's fascinating about this is I think the board is made
33. 7:42up was made up mostly of researchers right who want to take this slower and then you have Greg and Sam who want to
34. 7:50take this faster they want to commercialize it and then you got Microsoft that wants to commercialize it
35. 7:55so what the board did was they said and and one of the other rumors that was going around I think it might have been
36. 8:00Rowan changen that did it no it wasn't it was someone else one of the other rumors was that the reason Ilia did the power
37. 8:09move was that he suspected that they they hit AGI artificial general intelligence about a month ago and IL
38. 8:19Ilia would be the one that understands that they've hit it and so there could be something with that but it sounds like everyone on the
39. 8:30planet hated this move and if your big investors are like no we're not going to we're not going to back this board then the board's in
40. 8:42trouble oh this is the this is the best from Matt truck Sam mman returning to open AI after a day is like Ste Steve
41. 8:50Jobs returning to Apple after 12 years but for the Tik Tock generation oh man now the attakus thing or whatever
42. 9:05the hell that was called that was a that was a flop they shut that down because there ain't no AI happening
43. 9:11today um I've been on the side of hostile takeover and founder firings many times it's not over no it's not
44. 9:18over I mean well especially espe listen you cannot Blindside [ __ ] Microsoft right not not when they've met a made a
45. 9:27bet this big and I don't even mean the money the the 10 billion for them is you know that's that's mostly in compute
46. 9:33right that's that's going to be sunk cost the the the the their the thing that they can't risk is open AI falling apart when they've
47. 9:46got this Tech rolled into every piece of software that they've created this is this the stakes here what's what's
48. 9:53staggering is you know it's these it's these you know these six people people and you know four of them decided hey
49. 10:01you know hey you know what we should do let's boot these guys there are potentially trillions of dollars at
50. 10:08stake like like it is just amazing how like like the scale of this and imagine like let's assume I I assume you know
51. 10:16there there's enough reporting here let's assume this is happening imagine the [ __ ] leverage that Alman has
52. 10:23right now cuz I guarantee you you know he probably had 10 billion offers and 20 billion offers and $50 billion offers
53. 10:33and he said he needed a100 billion to do AGI I guarantee you there's an investor group out there that c that put a
54. 10:40hundred billion doll offer on his table like so so for them to pull him back like he has absolutely zero obligation
55. 10:50to go back unless it's on his exact terms like his leverage right now is through the [ __ ] roof it's CA it's CA Papa oh hey Mar hi so

84. 16:25Hardware that's why Sam's been on a fundraiser mission in the Middle East huh well that could tie that could
85. 16:36tie tie together with the rumor that that uh that they hit AGI a month or so ago and why Ilia there's something
86. 16:47there's definitely something up AGI first second after creation was firing his creator yeah exactly um ask

137. 24:44people behind chat GPT got fired yesterday after growing the company to 90 billion in valuation in a year Well
138. 24:52in 5 years whatever it's been but but you know grew it to 90 billion in Valu ation they dumped his ass yesterday well
139. 25:00apparently they're in talks to bring him back but if you and and it's it's it's caused caused quite the C fuffle in all
140. 25:09of techland so if you have not played with chat GPT go there right now chat. open.com and just start playing with it
141. 25:17also sign up for the wait list to get gp4 they closed new uh subscriptions to chat gp4 and I assumed until yesterday they were
142. 25:30working on upping their server capacity and then as of yesterday they're working on trying to keep their company from imploding
143. 25:39um let's see looks like we got some new people that just joined fantastic please uh if you do join the

148. 26:24mean there are literally thousands probably 10,000 or more API or AI tools at this point and with uh with the gpts
149. 26:33being released from open AI if you haven't heard of those they're personalized versions of of chat GPT
150. 26:39that open AI made really easy to make um there are probably 50,000 of those at this at this point um people are just
151. 26:47cranking those things out um but the things I'm going to show you are things that you should also be aware of even
152. 26:53though chat GPT right now is got all the the uh light on it um Claude is a competitor from a bunch of exop AI people grock is Elon musk's uh
153. 27:05coming uh probably chat GPT 3.5 competitor but it's connected to Twitter data so that could be interesting Bing
154. 27:13is from Microsoft oh I should actually change that Bing has now changed to hang on let's do this right now we're going to do this real time
155. 27:22people we don't mess around here at the AI learning lab if we got wrong information wa f it so this is now called
156. 27:31co-pilot and it is now at a different URL it's at uh copilot
157. 27:47microsoft.com and then copy and paste and and then we're going to come in here I'm going to go here I'm here I'm
158. 28:03here all right so it's now called co-pilot so if you go to co-pilot microsoft.com that's essentially a free Standalone GPT 4
159. 28:17powered um like chat GPT like tool now because it's Microsoft the safety guard rails on it are pretty strict and so you
160. 28:29can't be mean to it and and it doesn't always do what you want it to do but it's free so that's so so these are kind
161. 28:36of the big four that are not chat GPT right now um Bard was supposed to get this thing called Gemini which was
162. 28:45supposed to beat chat GPT 4 but they just delayed the release of that until at least the first quarter so
163. 28:55apparently Google not have it so ready all right and then prompt. chat if you really are just struggling to figure out

170. 30:16chat GPT it's wild um I had the issue yesterday not being able to pin yeah I don't know what's going on you know um
171. 30:24Tik Tok for the past week or so it's it's just been forced quitting on me in the middle of lives with like nothing
172. 30:31happening it just quits so I don't know what's going on it's it's probably just an unstable version of the of the app um
173. 30:39perplexity is really good for research llama 2 is meta open source models you can play with them at labs. perplexity
174. 30:46doai and then po so PO is really interesting Po's from a company called quora you you may have heard of quora it
175. 30:54was like a question and answer site for for decades and then they made po which is their their chatbot and you can use
176. 31:04lots of different models there and you can make Bots there and uh Adam D'Angelo who's quara's CEO is also on the board of open Ai and
177. 31:19Adam and Ilia and two other women on the board were the four that voted out Sam Alman and Greg Brockman
178. 31:27yesterday so po po is in the middle of all this Intrigue um so it's going to be interesting to see what happens um so
179. 31:36that's those okay now um image creation here's kind of the big for Dolly 3 is inside of chat GPT it's also inside of
180. 31:45Microsoft co-pilot mid journe is the best if you want to do art Leonardo's the best if you want to do like you know
181. 31:52if you like the cockpit of a 747 and want to do lots of switches and dials that's Leonardo it's but it's it's well
182. 31:58done that's sitting on top of stable diffusion um or you can go play with stable diffusion if if you're geeky uh
183. 32:04but this is the web a web front end for stable diffusion and then Firefly is if you work for a big company Firefly's
184. 32:13data has not been trained on any copywritten images so this is kind Firefly is kind of the safest of of
185. 32:21these things um I should start demoing that more I haven't been demoing it and someone pointed that out the other it's
186. 32:27a good point because a lot of people are going to be using Adobe products and they're and they're actually they're
187. 32:32they're listen you're not going to get quality as good as Dolly 3 or mid Journey right now but it's getting
188. 32:38better and better and better and they just released a new model which is apparently quite good uh so that's image Generation
189. 32:45video the three on the left Runway ml Moon Valley and P Labs um are all kind of the same thing um Runway apparently now has
190. 32:57release but I couldn't see it I didn't I didn't see it but they've released this thing called motion brush so you can
191. 33:03create you can take a still image and then you can paint over the object that you want it to animate and it so if you
192. 33:12paint over a boat it'll make the boat move if you paint over clouds it'll make the clouds move um so Runway ml is about
193. 33:20to get really really really good um and then Heen you should go to labs. gen.com and play with with their video translate tool because it's
194. 33:30remarkable um music and audio you got 11 Labs if you want to synthesize your own voice that's good sunno um will write you a song
195. 33:43lyrics make the music and sing the lyrics for you it'll com create a complete song It's a verse and a chorus it's
196. 33:50not um it's not it's not a complete song but you get a verse in a chorus you know fully composed with lyrics with the
197. 33:57person singing and it does two versions of each song so it's pretty outrageous and they give you five songs a day for
198. 34:03free so the unpaid version you can do five songs a day and then refusion and sound draw are also both music
199. 34:10generation tools uh refusion I think does lyrics I think it does sound draw is just uh more like uh it's a it's like
200. 34:20a loop uh composer but it does it with AI so it does it really quick and it's a good intuitive interface um 3D objects
201. 34:28and worlds you got blockade Labs Wonder Dynamics and Luma AI I forget what Luma is but uh it's cool it was cool enough I
202. 34:36put it in here one night uh and then here's people you should follow Ethan mullik uh is Wharton business school

241. 40:50Ilia or Ilia loses a board seat and I don't know if he'd stay around since this was kind of his cou so so he probably
242. 41:01goes and but but then I mean if if Sam comes back he's going to have a blank check to do whatever the [ __ ] he wants
243. 41:11so so I think Ilia was serving as breakes for Sam's gas pedal and that's I think that's what this about their board can just go play
