chat gbt 5 by July 15 I 3:33 heard but we also heard that we were 3:36 going to have realtime voice in coming 3:39 [Music] 3:40 weeks and that was more than a coming 3:43 month 3:49 ago Sammy better get his [ __ ] 3:52 together you know I'll tell you 3:56 what Sam Alman 4:00 he decided to get all petty and pretend 4:03 like he didn't know who I 4:05 was and look at him 4:08 [Music] 4:12 now you don't cross the Irregulars you 4:15 just don't do it 4:18 Sam technically the weeks are still 4:20 coming it's a good 4:24 [Music] 4:28 point our little Ilia sver song got no 4:31 traction on Twitter I don't know how to 4:33 use 4:34 Twitter it's almost like I'm an old guy 4:37 trying to use technology 4:41 [Music] 5:24 why do rock rock rock stars always do 5:27 this I don't 5:29 know feels 5:32 good guess you're getting your arm out 5:34 of the way of the music you got to let 5:35 it ring 5:37 out take that 5:42 [Music] 5:45 Arena Mr it I'm a sunno addict looks 5:49 like the music labels are suing sunno 5:51 and yud we knew that was 5:55 coming I called this a year 5:58 ago what did I say a year year ago 6:04 people people would ask is it stealing 6:08 okay Mr Mr Smarty Pants that knows 6:10 everything about AR artificial 6:12 intelligence who has a degree in acting 6:14 yeah like like you know anything anyway 6:18 uh so yeah tell me what's GNA so is it 6:20 stealing it so these to they're just 6:22 stealing right it's it's the world's 6:24 largest plagiarism 6:25 machine and what I told you back then 6:28 was first stop talking like that it's 6:30 disturbing the people around you 6:34 second the next 20 6:37 years the [ __ ] IP attorneys are going 6:40 to make a 6:42 fortune I told you a year ago that the 6:46 IP 6:47 attorneys had yacht brochures that they 6:51 were leafing through trying to figure 6:53 out what what they were going to name 6:55 their second yacht 6:58 [Music] 7:01 cuz the music industry is like we'll pay 7:03 anything stop these tools stop progress 7:07 stop it don't let them take away our 7:12 [Music] 7:15 industry you have to pay to use Twitter 7:17 I do [ __ ] pay to use Twitter and they 7:20 still don't show my [ __ ] 7:26 [Music] 7:45 P Katy Perry's new song sounds AI 7:48 made can you sing Shaggy song I don't 7:51 think 7:53 so I can sing 30 years of Tears by John 7:56 hayatt or blue telescope 7:59 [Music] 8:10 BL 8:12 uh I don't remember the beginning of the 8:15 words guess I can't sing blue telescope 8:23 [Music] 8:30 [Applause] 8:30 [Music] 8:34 I don't remember the words cuz this 8:35 brain she's 8:37 old I need 8:41 AI I 8:42 [Music] 8:45 uh right before I came on so there's so 8:49 uh 8:51 anthropic said hey funny thing Sam Sam 8:56 you know how you said you were going to 8:58 launch all your cool [ __ ] and 9:00 didn't we'll we we you just [ __ ] take 9:04 a break we'll we'll take it from 9:06 here so they launched version 9:10 3.5 of 9:13 Sonet which is their middle model okay 9:16 so how do 9:18 we so Google had three different models 9:20 it was Gemini Nano 9:23 Gemini Pro and Gemini 9:26 Ultra and then they launched them all 9:29 and was disappointing cuz it wasn't what 9:31 they 9:32 promised and then they came out with 9:35 Gemini 1.5 Pro the middle 9:39 model was better than the bigger model 9:42 and we haven't heard [ __ ] about the 9:43 bigger model nothing they just ignored 9:47 it they pretended like we didn't 9:49 Ultra you mean Ultram man from the 80s 9:52 we I doesn't doesn't ring a 9:57 bell it's it's here on your site you can 10:00 go to oh that yeah no that's not 10:03 this so that's how Google was so now in 10:07 thropic they have three models as well 10:10 they had Haiku the Teeny one cute Sonet 10:14 like Shakespearean son it ah and then 10:17 Opus Grand Opus so they just 10:22 launched 10:24 Claude Sonet 10:27 3.5 and it is 10:30 outperforming gp4 Omni fairly 10:34 significantly on many of the benchmarks 10:38 and I just went and played with 10:40 it 10:43 and it's it's 10:46 a here's here's my problem I'm getting 10:48 cynical 10:50 people it should have been a Kevin 10:52 mallister 10:54 moment um but I just went like oh it can 10:59 do that 11:03 now so I'll show you what I discovered 11:06 or what I tried and there's there's all 11:08 sorts of Twitter posts on people trying 11:10 things going um this is fairly [ __ ] 11:13 remarkable 11:14 [Music] 11:45 [Applause] 11:47 [Music] 11:50 do they have new Corpus data for Sona 11:52 Sonet I have no [ __ ] idea what they 11:55 did we can go look we'll go look at 11:57 there I'm sure there's a a release on 12:00 their website 12:08 somewhere and I didn't really get a 12:10 chance to look at the news all that 12:12 completely today I mean my version of 12:16 looking at the news completely is to 12:17 just Doom scroll through Twitter for 12:20 three 12:21 hours but in Doom scrolling through 12:24 Twitter for 3 hours you can you can see 12:26 the [ __ ] that repeats um and I didn't do 12:28 enough of that so maybe we'll do some 12:31 that I might update the tools list on 12:34 the salon cuz it's it's now getting 12:35 painfully out of 12:37 [Music] 12:42 date I was writing up a report what did 12:45 I miss nothing 12:47 [Music] 12:54 yet thanks I invest in three of these AI 12:58 products and I'd like to know 13:01 if they've updated anthropic indeed they 13:03 have Detroit J 13:06 Holden and it looks like it's [ __ ] 13:09 [Music] 13:16 remarkable we'll go play with it 13:26 [Music] 13:33 my kid wants to know if you can sing the 13:35 Gummy Bear song I I don't know the gummy 13:37 bear song was that one that we made with 13:40 AI the only one only only what is with 13:45 my 13:50 tongue the only AI 13:53 song that I know is 13:57 [Music] 14:09 see the hills quiet 14:12 town where the old trees 14:16 sway whistle of the train echo through 14:20 the 14:22 day people GRE you with a 14:26 KN nothing ever seems to change 14:30 stor still 14:32 unfold each unique and 14:34 [Music] 14:58 strange all right all right enough 15:01 comedy 15:02 jokes name that comedian you gen xers if 15:05 you can't name that comedian and you're 15:07 my 15:08 age what did you do with your 15:13 life my punk Pals made a cyber 15:17 truck with what with with 15:23 Claude oh look at Danielle sharing the 15:25 live she's sharing the love by sharing 15:27 the live share the love people 15:30 share the love by sharing the 15:36 live Tang Story vine logo is getting in 15:39 the way of reading isn't it okay 15:43 um what do we want to do what do we want 15:45 to do what do we want to do do do do do 15:49 when is chat GP going to turn to Skynet 15:52 July 15th is the announcement of gp5 I 15:57 think cuz I saw one tweet on 16:00 it welcome to chat 16:02 TMZ we'll report the news as if it's 16:05 news just because we read it on the 16:09 internet well it's on the internet must 16:11 be 16:12 [Laughter] 16:14 true cybertruck hate song to the tune of 16:17 gummy bear song that's 16:19 awesome I don't know the gummy bear song 16:21 should I know the gummy bear song well 16:23 see now if it's terrible you're going to 16:25 make me go listen to it and that's on 16:27 you 16:30 [Music] 16:35 YouTube Gummy Bear song oh 16:44 boy this it the [ __ ] is 16:56 this oh I think Tim Hernandez wants to 16:59 repres in us but he doesn't share our 17:00 values on gun safy Tim Hernandez with 17:03 his divisive politics are standing in 17:05 the way of progress I met this dude oh 17:08 I'm a gummy bear yes I'm a gummy bear oh 17:12 I'm a yummy tummy luy gummy bear I'm a 17:17 bear a gummy bear oh I'm 17:20 a sing gummy bear oh 17:27 [Music] 17:36 [Music] 17:43 oh that's not the one that's not the 17:46 one I don't know I don't know 17:51 this all right let's 17:53 see the official gummy bar Channel 18:01 all right I won't I uh gummy bear song 18:05 Just Kids Dance is this it oh I'm a 18:08 gummy bear yes I'm a gummy bear oh a 18:12 yummy tummy gummy 18:15 bear you know what you know 18:19 what everyone's bitching about AI music 18:22 it's not good music a human wrote this 18:26 you tell me AI couldn't do better than 18:28 that 18:32 humans are overrated 18:35 people 18:36 people all 18:38 right here's what we're going to 18:41 do where where am I what am I looking at 18:44 here you are looking 18:46 at when you see the splattered bug 18:50 logo you know you're at claw moving on 18:54 carrying on 18:56 exactly all 18:57 right so 19:00 let's restart this reload this page how 19:04 do I get back out do I go here 19:11 okay getting started generate a recipe 19:15 from a 19:16 dish recommend style improvements 19:18 extract text from 19:21 images all right 19:29 one of the questions I get a 19:33 lot is 19:36 heck C does open AI win long term uh not 19:42 if they don't get their [ __ ] together 19:44 they're they're losing credibility right 19:46 now on 19:50 um for a while they were launching they 19:53 they were just you know dramatically 19:56 better than 19:57 everyone and then everyone started 19:59 catching up and they've shown a bunch of 20:01 [ __ ] for the past 6 months and not 20:05 delivered much they sort of delivered 20:08 gp4 Omni but not 20:11 really 20:13 and I would say 20:16 that more than anything right now they 20:20 are they're they're being very shitty at 20:23 the pr game 20:29 they're just they're just not like when 20:32 you run a business if you say we're 20:34 going to release something in the coming 20:36 weeks and then you just don't say [ __ ] 20:40 for a month and a half two 20:44 months then everyone starts to assign 20:47 your behavior to you if you say hey we 20:49 were red team testing and we found some 20:52 [ __ ] and we're fixing it it's going to 20:54 be a couple of more weeks people be like 20:56 oh cool they're working on it we're 20:58 excited yay but when they don't say 21:00 anything it lets everyone's imaginations 21:03 go to the dark place and meanwhile their 21:06 competitors are just like hey how about 21:08 we go take you 21:11 out when were they good at the pr 21:14 game they were good at the pr game when 21:16 they were 21:17 delivering when they were when they were 21:19 delivering 21:22 products you know they launched chat GPT 21:26 in November 21:29 it went to 100 million users in 6 weeks 21:31 and then in March they launched GPT 4 21:34 right so they they were they were 21:36 quickly delivering we need to 21:38 collectively be the marketing and PR arm 21:41 of open AI That's essentially what this 21:43 channel was for for you know the first 21:45 nine months because that there wasn't 21:47 much else to talk 21:49 about all right 21:53 anyway what we're looking at here is the 21:55 new cloud 22:00 um 22:02 because what this is is the Sonet 22:08 model everyone has access to this so 22:11 this is a 22:13 better like AI noow yeah exactly this is 22:18 this is better than gp4 Omni at the 22:23 stuff it's good 22:24 at um for everyone so just like GPT for 22:29 omni's available for everyone this is 22:30 available for everyone we assume that 22:33 their Opus model is going to be good but 22:37 we don't 22:38 know all right so watch 22:51 this make me a space invader 22:56 clone that uses different emojis for 22:59 each row of the 23:02 monsters and a turtle for 23:06 the spaceship at the 23:10 bottom 23:14 period we'll just go with 23:24 that okay 23:27 now so there it's writing code which is 23:30 cool but notice they they created this 23:32 new window that's a development 23:38 environment let's see oh wait 23:41 sorry make it 23:46 playable in the 23:55 browser so it's writing the code in this 23:59 little window so you can comment over 24:04 here it's writing all the 24:10 code like this is not a minimal amount 24:13 of code there's all that 24:18 [ __ ] 24:19 what why is it not running in the 24:25 browser oh 24:29 I 24:30 want to be able to test 24:35 it here in 24:44 the programming 24:55 pain I did this right before I came on 24:57 here so I know this [ __ ] works 25:00 but anyway it's writing lots of code 25:02 which if you don't know code it doesn't 25:03 [ __ ] matter oh yeah claw. a is where 25:05 I 25:14 am I'm going to start 25:20 over make me a space invader clone that 25:24 uses different Emoji monsters for the 25:27 different rows 25:30 coming 25:31 down period and a turtle for the 25:34 spaceship 25:36 period I want to be able to test the 25:38 game right here in the 25:41 browser without going to any other 25:55 environment oh I was saying before 25:57 people ask me should I learn coding 26:01 um I don't think we're that far from a 26:04 time where a lot of code can just be 26:09 run can just be generated like 26:14 this uh okay it's not working it was 26:17 working but there it is there's our 26:20 space in Invaders game I'll say uh the 26:25 bullets don't work 26:32 work 26:36 period they just stay at the bottom of 26:40 the screen instead of flying up period 26:43 and the monsters are not moving left and 26:45 right and advancing 26:48 downward 26:50 period also the space 26:53 bar isn't making the bullets go 27:05 so this is this is how we're going to 27:07 decode learn how to fix code yeah yeah 27:10 yeah I 27:15 could I know how to fix code if it's 27:22 basic yeah 27:29 use left right arrows okay so here there 27:32 he's moving that look there goes the 27:35 thing 27:36 boom we got a this is a functional Space 27:39 Invaders 27:46 game okay you're not Space Invaders you 27:49 couldn't fire that many bullets so so we 27:53 got to we got to fix some logic there 27:55 you can clear the board pretty easy 27:59 thank you Daniel I appreciate 28:10 that all 28:14 the Jensen hang I heard him most 28:16 recently say parents don't let your kids 28:18 grow up to 28:19 be coders 28:23 yeah he also said he hopes their kids 28:26 fail which I think was pretty pretty 28:28 kind of cool cool 28:33 um let's see what else this can do so 28:35 anyway it can code um I tried doing 28:38 something with vision earlier and it did 28:40 not seem 28:41 happy and I don't know let's see what do 28:45 we got 28:54 here yeah see how it's not previewing 28:56 the image here so something's 28:59 something's broken with this I wonder if 29:01 I've got a cash issue hang on let 29:19 me learn how to debug code 29:35 Cloud hello 29:37 Cloud oh look see now it's better there 29:40 it can see the thing it can see the 29:42 image it remembered my image that's 29:44 interesting okay um what are we going to 29:46 do with this let's 29:49 say 29:56 make asky 30:01 art from this image and 30:06 use 30:08 colors as 30:11 well let's see what that 30:22 does Claude model version not found 30:35 huh it said it can't make asky 30:47 art hm can you 30:53 show 30:55 asky characters 30:58 that will look like the 31:11 image nope 31:14 what it's telling me how to do it it's 31:18 not doing it all right well that was a 31:20 fail let me try another 31:25 upload we try our old TR trusty see 31:28 whiteboard 31:35 [Music] 31:47 whiteboard create a functional prototype 31:50 of this 31:51 app that I can test in the development 31:55 window without using any other 31:57 development environment 31:59 based on this 32:14 whiteboard yeah it's this is failing 32:17 some 32:18 something something is not right 32:20 something's not happy with this thing 32:22 all right 32:23 scrip let's go look at I want to go I 32:26 want to go look at news I want to go see 32:28 what's going on I think there's stuff 32:31 going on what's going on here ppal 32:40 payal there's miror 32:47 Mora oh everyone's pissed off that open 32:49 AI gave access so open AI apparently 32:52 gave access to unrestricted gp4 to the 32:56 government we launched 48 hours hours 32:58 ago I don't know what that's about I 33:00 don't know what that's about I don't 33:12 care mid Journey announcement new 33:15 features for style reference and new 33:17 model personalization 33:19 blending that's kind of cool more people 33:22 pissed off at Mira moradi she's bad at 33:25 the pr games there she's she's one of 33:27 the reason they've got PR issues they 33:30 had that whole thing where that reporter 33:32 said Do You Train anything on YouTube 33:34 and it turned into a whole meme of her 33:35 making the face 33:38 like I don't really know how to answer 33:45 that all right announcing Hermes 33:48 2 all 33:54 right AI movie premieres mirror moraes 33:57 and 33:59 hole finally watched a movie about 34:03 AI all right maybe there's nothing big 34:06 here where's all the anthropic [ __ ] 34:09 let's go why am I not seeing the 34:10 anthropic stuff come on 34:14 people Claude 3.5 Sonet is really really 34:18 really good at code yeah that my point 34:20 is we're the the coding stuff by the end 34:23 of the year apparently Microsoft is 34:25 working on a new GitHub sort of coding 34:28 killer amazing thing um I think coding 34:31 by the end of the year is going to be 34:33 quite 34:34 remarkable 34:43 um Matthew Burman Claude 3.5 Sonet is 34:47 now the best model I've tested congrats 34:49 to the 34:51 team Anna we're living in an 34:53 unbelievable times this is a new world 35:01 upscaler makes her look plastic but 35:04 whatever oh yeah this these are the the 35:07 benchmarks 35:09 so here's GPT 4 35:14 Omni so graduate level 35:18 reasoning GPT 35:20 453 Claud 3.5 Sonet the the thing about 35:24 3.5 Sonet don't forget gp4 Omni is a big 35:28 model I don't know how many well gp4 was 35:32 1.8 trillion 35:35 parameters I think gp4 Omni is less than 35:38 that so let's say 35:40 it's some amount of 35:43 billion but the Claude 3.5 Sonet is the 35:46 smaller model so the smaller model is 35:49 performing better than GPT 4's biggest 35:52 model undergraduate level knowledge 35:55 they're about the same 35:59 code gp4 is at 36:02 90% claud's at 36:05 92 math multilingual math it's a point 36:10 higher reasoning over text it's 4 Points 36:15 higher mixed 36:19 evaluations looks like it's 36:20 significantly higher than anything 36:22 there's not a score there for 36:25 Omni not as good at math and better at 36:28 grade school math so 36:31 anyway there you 36:34 go that's 36:39 funny malc 36:42 Dron what's he saying's just say 36:44 immersive entertainment or experiences 36:46 and you know and I think VR AR is one 36:48 version of that but also just like 36:50 immersive worlds um on traditional 36:52 screens um the intersection of that and 36:55 then and then and then the intersection 36:56 with with with AI know we're we're doing 36:58 a lot of work in AI a lot of work in 36:59 gaming a lot of work in media so I I 37:01 spend a lot a fair amount of time 37:02 talking to folks in gaming you know 37:03 thinking about Ai and games I spent also 37:05 a fair amount of time in in um talking 37:07 to people in like the entertainment 37:08 industry about like Ai and movies and 37:10 you know TV and things like that of 37:11 course that's you know quite controversi 37:13 all right listen finish a 37:18 sentence said Chad 37:20 add uh hey Jen we're excited to announce 37:24 our $60 million series a there you go 37:28 maybe they can get their [ __ ] together 37:30 and get their products 37:35 we we're we're putting together a 37:37 product that's relying on haen and they 37:41 said it was going to be a $110,000 37:44 minimum to get API access and get a 37:48 security whatever a baa thing and then 37:52 we went to to engage it and they're like 37:55 oh yeah no you can't make any changes to 37:57 the legal contract that that would cost 38:01 you $30,000 minimum so they're just kind 38:03 of making up pricing as they're going so 38:05 I hope they get their [ __ ] 38:06 together they need a marketing person 38:09 there uh uh uh uh uh uh text to speeech 38:12 model let's see is it good a pot of tea 38:16 helps to pass the evening 38:25 nope oh that's cool 38:29 Dynamic inspection of bridges 38:36 cracks 38:38 huh that's 38:46 cool all right there's nothing big going 38:49 on I was full oh that's cool who did 38:52 that f-zero nice I'm thrilled to present 38:55 my latest video this looks cool that means Luma AI what did they 41:31 say 41:33 anything 41:52 no that's a good idea let's try that do 41:56 new 41:59 um make 42:03 an 42:10 8bit 42:12 um pixel art 42:18 of oh I got got it a' 70s muscle car 42:27 dirty dare dirty 42:30 dare so it's generating 42:33 code bam there's a 70s muscle car oh 42:40 [Laughter] 42:45 yeah you know what's funny about 42:49 about what what some of the examples are 42:52 here is like these used to be the 42:53 programming examples when when they were 42:56 first teaching programming back in the 42:58 in the 70s and ' 80s when I was learning 43:01 basic and stuff like that you'd do stuff 43:03 like this but you would have to manually 43:05 you know you'd have to manually code 43:06 this so I can switch back over to code 43:08 view it's like here's your X and Y 43:11 coordinates here's your width here's 43:13 your height and there's your color right 43:15 like there's one line of code right 43:18 there that's one of those 43:20 blocks and now it just makes it and but 43:23 the examples are let's see um let me see 43:27 this I'll say 43:28 say that looks like poo 43:31 poo why don't you make 43:34 8bit dog poo 43:39 poo let's see if it does 43:55 it ah 44:00 that's pretty 44:01 [Laughter] 44:06 fantastic this was my childhood the 44:08 Atari 2600 you come back from the video 44:11 game art you go to the 44:14 mall you'd go to the 44:17 mall you go to the arcade you'd play 44:21 these awesome video games and then you'd 44:23 beg your mother to buy you the Atari 44:25 2600 cartridge of whatever 44:28 Atlantis and the packaging was beautiful 44:32 and you get home and this is what you'd 44:33 see on your [ __ ] TV 44:36 screen there's nothing like the arcades 44:40 you you kids today with your home video 44:43 games that are is is as good arcades 44:45 don't even exist 44:50 anymore that was my 44:54 childhood you spoiled Bratz 44:57 all 44:58 [Music] 45:01 right let's see suggest product 45:04 descriptions transcribe handwritten 45:05 notes understand complex 45:09 equations just crazy we are in crazy 45:12 times 45:14 people here's an Asteroids game I 45:17 made let's see can 45:21 I uh rebuild game 45:35 this was simple Asteroids game with 45:37 animal 45:48 [Music] 45:50 shapes look at all the code this is 45:52 writing this is stunning 46:06 wh how do I oh yeah I can move this is 46:10 this is a real flipping Asteroids 46:15 game 46:17 unbelievable 46:20 unbelievable this is this is the little 46:22 Kevin 46:24 mallister let's see um all right let me 46:27 I'm going to change the spaceship 46:32 shape right now the ship is just a 46:36 triangle period can you make it look 46:39 more like a 46:40 spaceship with a clear front and a clear 46:44 back period when I move fire should come 46:47 out the back period when I shoot the 46:50 bullet should come out the front 46:55 period i i I got to tell you it 46:59 is I I the fact that we that we are in 47:04 the middle of 47:06 transitioning 47:07 from um having to write code to write 47:11 code to just say no could you make it 47:14 suck less could you I want it to look 47:16 more like a ship right now it's a 47:18 triangle and it makes me 47:21 sad yeah it doesn't have any Collision 47:23 detection right now but we'll fix 47:26 that share it please in the Irregulars 47:29 if you wish you knew you wait wait huh 47:32 share it please in Irregulars if you 47:35 wish you know we want everything you can 47:39 give us okay I'll do that oh that's cool 47:41 look the the ship is now very ship 47:43 [Applause] 47:46 likee oh that's cool right oh and it 47:49 made fire look at that good Lord 47:57 I I still got it I still got it this is 47:59 my 48:01 game oh yeah oh 48:10 [Music] 48:11 [Laughter] 48:15 yeah it's crazy that's crazy it's K I'll 48:20 tell you K it's 48:22 C it's CRA all right I'm gonna share 48:26 this in 48:32 Irregulars in the Irregulars Channel 48:35 you're like but Kyle what is this 48:37 irregular you speak of I do not know 48:40 nothing I know nothing of what you talk 48:43 about oh hey markco 48:45 hi 48:47 um this is the Irregulars Channel hello 48:51 ooh that is gorgeous Danielle very nice 48:55 I like it I like it a lot I think we 48:59 will use that one tomorrow there's 49:03 Ilia all right there 49:10 is let's see we'll put a little thing 49:13 here 49:15 AI 49:18 learning lab 49:21 Asteroids game yeah you can go look at 49:24 my I mean the prompt I used here 49:28 is not very 49:32 much I just talked words I just said 49:36 make a game that's sort of like a 49:39 game make it have animal 49:42 shapes let's see let's go back here 49:44 let's let's go 49:49 um okay this is 49:52 good but we have some issues period 49:58 the asteroids are moving too fast for 50:01 the first level and there are too many 50:03 of them period also when the spaceship 50:07 shoots one they should break into 50:09 smaller 50:11 pieces period also there is no Collision 50:15 detection with the 50:18 ship 50:21 period all 50:25 right yeah I mean like this is debugging 50:30 by I just talked the words Cloud's new 50:33 AI campaign hey Bob did you learn 50:36 programming uh yeah how'd you do 50:41 that uh I just talked the 50:46 words you can make money 50:57 add sound effects slight color when a 51:01 hit connects yep that's good okay that's 51:04 good oh a game oh look it did game over 51:07 it did Collision detection PR press 51:10 space to restart holy [ __ ] that's 51:14 amazing space right 51:20 okay oh it did it 51:25 nice a 51:28 oh this is bringing me back okay 51:34 um great this is looking perfect 51:43 period we need to add sound 51:48 effects 51:53 with repetitive background music like 51:56 The original 51:58 game Thruster 52:00 sounds shooting 52:02 sounds and explosion sounds 52:07 period and 52:09 when the spaceship gets hit by an 52:11 asteroid it should make 52:14 a bad 52:20 sound he just I I I just talked the 52:25 words here watch 52:30 certainly adding sound effects would be 52:32 fantastic and then just it's going to go 52:35 squirt out some code squirt out some 52:38 code going to squirt out some code then 52:40 you'll be playing your game in the 52:42 browser the game in the 52:47 browser and three lives oh yeah we got 52:49 to have three lives good 52:52 point uhoh 53:00 uncut error uncut reference 53:04 error uh 53:07 Claude it seems there's an uncaught 53:10 error 53:12 period reference error in nit is not 53:25 defined I olizee for the oversight 53:28 you're right there's an error in the 53:29 code let's identify and fix this 53:34 issue now we can be gaming desires just 53:37 via talking commands 53:39 amazing yeah exactly I'm kind of Blown 53:43 Away I know Otto I I'm the same way 53:46 where like I'm that's what I was saying 53:50 like as I'm doing this there's a part of 53:53 me that's like this is not even possible 53:55 and there's a part of me that's kind of 53:59 normalized that these tools are are just 54:02 going to 54:07 get they're going to get well this this 54:09 is already significantly 54:12 Beyond significantly beyond my 54:14 capabilities as a 54:16 coder significantly Beyond 54:24 it I apologize for the over 54:34 site the screen is just black you broke 54:37 the game 54:39 period Please unbreak the 54:48 game to make this game work which 54:51 platform do you have it 54:52 on nothing this is just a development 54:55 environment I told it 54:57 I told it I wanted it to make a 55:00 game 55:02 that worked in the browser without 55:04 having to go anywhere 55:07 else so could I use this to make an app 55:09 ID I've had for a few years 55:13 yes 55:15 yes wait oh see now we're back 55:20 to so that's interesting so this is kind 55:23 of cool down here you got versions so I 55:25 can go back versions that's the broken 55:27 one that's the one with the error this 55:29 is the last one that 55:31 worked all 55:35 right okay I want you to go back to 55:38 version three period which was the last 55:41 version that worked correctly period and 55:44 add the sound effects to that 55:46 period be sure that it works 55:50 before presenting it as a testable game 55:58 shank dink Kang I apologize for the 56:00 confusion you're right we should go back 56:02 to a working version and carefully add 56:03 the sound 56:07 effects can it make it Angry Birds let's 56:10 see you know the joke about the clown 56:12 that says but sir I'm a I'm a 56:16 pagi that's me with 56:20 AI thanks this is the pro version this 56:23 is I don't know what this is the pro 56:26 version is in reference to but this is 56:28 not the pro version Oh this is this is 56:30 similar to the pro version of Gemini yes 56:33 that's 56:34 correct this is the middle version of 56:36 Claude which means everyone has access 56:38 to 56:40 this and by the way this side by side 56:43 view that's a feature you have to turn 56:45 on it's an experimental feature but boy 56:47 is it 56:55 cool cl's response was limited to hit 56:58 them 57:00 ah okay so I the reason the game's not 57:04 working now adding the sound uh rate 57:07 limited us 57:12 out okay it looks like adding the sound 57:20 effects generated too much code to work 57:24 with your current limitations period 57:27 so 57:28 let's not do all of the sound effects 57:32 but maybe just the shooting 57:38 sound see what it 57:43 does I mean it's just amazing like you 57:45 know if e key equals Arrow left then 57:48 ship. rotation minus 57:52 point1 it's just amazing it's like 58:07 crazy middle version of Claude is 3.5 58:11 and is free correct if you go to claw. 58:14 right now this is the version you play 58:16 with so this is better than I'll give it 58:20 a try informative Channel thank you very 58:22 much this is better than 58:26 gp4 on a lot of areas and code is one of 58:30 them where it's it's much better error 58:33 error load shooting sound type error 58:35 failed to 58:36 fetch oh but we do have a really nice 58:40 looking space ship 58:43 now oh and I like the little shapes it's 58:50 doing that's really cool lives 58:54 three so cool 58:59 unbelievable let's go 59:01 uh let me let me do a new a new 59:22 thing I want you to act 59:28 as an Innovative game 59:42 designer and designed me a 59:48 game which has 59:51 the trigger 59:54 Twitchy enjoyment 59:57 of 1:00:00 asteroids but teaches the concept of 1:00:03 quantum mechanics 1:00:05 visually 1:00:10 period it should start simply and get 1:00:13 more sophisticated at each level 1:00:20 period you should also give it a fun 1:00:24 name 1:00:28 and have a title splash 1:00:34 screen 1:00:36 M all 1:00:47 right I've created a game 1:00:50 design document for Quantum asteroids 1:00:53 wave function collapse would you like me 1:00:56 to elaborate on specific part of the 1:00:58 game design um I'm going to 1:01:00 say I'd like you to build 1:01:03 it and make it playable in the test 1:01:07 window 1:01:11 period I 1:01:14 understand 1:01:15 generating 1:01:19 boom asteroid of browser is cool but is 1:01:21 there a more useful thing you can do 1:01:24 I've found it unreliable reliable well 1:01:27 all this stuff right now is unreliable 1:01:29 this is use the arrow keys to 1:01:33 move space to collapse wave 1:01:48 functions I don't know what I'm doing 1:02:02 specifically as a front-end 1:02:04 developer yeah with with with all of 1:02:06 these AI things right now 1:02:13 um they can get you to about 1:02:19 80% 1:02:21 and damn it the speech to text thing is 1:02:24 always staying on um 1:02:27 it can get you to about 80% and then 1:02:29 like if you want to build stuff that's 1:02:30 real you got to you've got to build the 1:02:32 the other 1:02:34 20% this feels to me like this probably 1:02:37 goes to 1:02:40 85% or if if if before it was at 70% now 1:02:43 it's at 1:02:45 80% so and this is just going to keep 1:02:47 getting better and better and better I 1:02:49 don't know what I'm doing is the war cry 1:02:52 of all people playing with AI 1:02:57 so true it's good for things like 1:03:00 boilerplate code and common library or 1:03:02 language yeah yeah this is right now but 1:03:05 same with with creative writing same 1:03:07 with business writing like all of this 1:03:09 stuff right now if you try to use the 1:03:12 [ __ ] that chat GPT writes like you have 1:03:15 it write a LinkedIn post if you just 1:03:17 copy and paste that [ __ ] it's 1:03:19 horrible but you can you you can get 1:03:23 better at manipulating your prompts and 1:03:25 man ulating your workflows to get better 1:03:28 and better versions of it same with the 1:03:31 code this to me takes a Next Step Up 1:03:35 where it's writing longer chunks of code 1:03:37 without [ __ ] the bed and it's 1:03:39 actually 1:03:40 creating a development environment where 1:03:42 you can just play and test right in here 1:03:46 um there are other tools that do that 1:03:49 but not not it you know at the sort of 1:03:52 chat 1:03:54 gbt kind of level thing so so big deal 1:03:57 so I would go I would go play play play 1:03:59 play play first he is showing demos that 1:04:03 anyone could do Kyle I have an idea what 1:04:05 if you gave it a picture and told it to 1:04:07 make a 1:04:08 game based on the pick yeah we can try 1:04:11 that 1:04:15 um although the picture upload stuff has 1:04:17 been 1:04:21 wonky me go my desktop 1:04:26 oh that's a good one play first 1:04:28 mindfully create generously lead okay 1:04:31 great we'll open that 1:04:35 up upload docks okay it's in 1:04:45 there I'd like you to make a 1:04:50 game based on this image 1:04:57 that has three 1:04:59 levels based on the words on the banner 1:05:06 period so on the banner it says play 1:05:09 first there look there it said the 1:05:11 themes on the banner play first 1:05:13 mindfully create generously lead now 1:05:15 it's creating a game design document 1:05:26 the game concept Mountain ad Mountain 1:05:29 Adventure captures the essence of the 1:05:32 image and the three fa phrases on the 1:05:34 banner it's designed as a Cooperative 1:05:36 multiplayer experience that progresses 1:05:39 through the three distinct levels each 1:05:41 focusing on a different aspect of 1:05:43 community building and personal growth 1:05:45 this is so cool the game starts with 1:05:47 exploration and connection building in 1:05:50 play first moves to sustain sustainable 1:05:52 creation and crafting and mindfully 1:05:55 create and culminates in community 1:05:57 leadership and event organization in 1:05:59 generously lead throughout the game 1:06:01 players are encouraged to work together 1:06:03 Embrace diversity make choices so it got 1:06:06 the Embrace diversity from the picture 1:06:08 that's kind of cool make choices that 1:06:11 benefit both the community and the 1:06:13 environment the vibrant Mountain setting 1:06:15 and diverse cast of characters would you 1:06:17 like me to expand um okay so let's 1:06:21 [Applause] 1:06:24 see can you make a playable demo of the 1:06:30 game that I can test in the development 1:06:33 window without having to go anywhere 1:06:36 else 1:06:38 period which by the way if if you want 1:06:41 to like really do the do testing and 1:06:43 things like that just tell it to write 1:06:45 the code in Python and use a python 1:06:48 environment like repet where you can run 1:06:50 the python 1:06:53 code I understand you'd like a playable 1:06:57 game all right so it's doing that so 1:07:00 it's got buttons and 1:07:06 cards application client side error the 1:07:09 browser 1:07:10 console see the browser 1:07:14 console um it 1:07:20 crashed I 1:07:23 apologize try a simpler version that 1:07:25 should be more 1:07:27 stable I'll create a basic demo without 1:07:29 relying on external UI 1:07:33 components welcome to Mountain 1:07:38 Adventure oh okay I 1:07:41 see click on gather 1:07:47 wood gather 1:07:49 food gather wood wood Stone food 1:08:02 not enough energy wait to 1:08:07 recharge all right it's kind of crap 1:08:11 but it's a 1:08:13 game oh nine messages remaining until 1:08:16 12:00 a.m. I'm about to get rate limited 1:08:17 out here people um let's see what else 1:08:21 we could do stting not a new 1:08:24 chat oh and it just crashed 1:08:27 interesting yeah this 1:08:30 is all right I'm going to get out of 1:08:32 here cuz this is it's 1:08:35 just I have a I have a feeling their 1:08:37 servers are just completely 1:08:39 overwhelmed I only use Gemini for 1:08:41 anything work related but much better 1:08:44 it's much better at at the more 1:08:47 technical stuff in my opinion yeah have 1:08:50 you played with uh the new the new Claud 1:08:52 Pate I'm curious I'm curious how this is 1:08:56 it's Oregon Trail oh I see cool 1:09:02 nice Sharon I'm blonde so not too hard 1:09:05 to 1:09:08 do this is kind of blowing my mind I 1:09:11 know this is so what this channel is 1:09:15 about is you 1:09:17 know just playing with AI long 1:09:21 enough I feel that every every human 1:09:24 being on Earth 1:09:26 deserves to play with AI long enough to 1:09:28 have their first Kevin McAllister 1:09:32 moment cuz once you have one you're like 1:09:35 H [ __ ] how do I keep up with this and 1:09:38 then you realize you can't and it's 1:09:39 completely exhausting and then and then 1:09:42 you realize these tools aren't perfect 1:09:44 but these tools oh first gift thank you 1:09:46 very much Robert I appreciate that a lot 1:09:48 forever hooked I'm here to complain and 1:09:50 be pedantic I also occasionally answer 1:09:53 questions yeah don't don't don't fear 1:09:56 Pate Pate is one of us um he's just he's 1:09:59 you know he's 1:10:01 special this is a this is a uh a neuros 1:10:04 spicy Channel um we're neuros spicy 1:10:08 friendly in here because I I honestly 1:10:13 believe that 1:10:15 um this is a self- selecting channel 1:10:19 that neurotypical people I don't think 1:10:22 could last 5 minutes in here cuz I don't 1:10:24 [ __ ] finish sent sentences I like 1:10:27 start 1:10:29 out I start I'm like here I'm going to 1:10:31 tell you the news and like an hour later 1:10:34 I I'm like what was I going to say and 1:10:36 someone will type in weren't you going 1:10:37 to tell us about the news I was like 1:10:40 ah I've got 1:10:42 it normal people can't handle that kind 1:10:45 of non-agenda 1:10:46 [Laughter] 1:10:48 nerd virgin people like yeah this makes 1:10:51 sense to me yeah I can follow the train 1:10:54 [Laughter] 1:10:57 Lord digital Gods I love the variety it 1:11:00 never gets boring thank you Rachel 1:11:02 Sparkles that is very nice of 1:11:05 you the hair is about to go south 1:11:08 so you 1:11:12 know they don't call it the AI salon for 1:11:15 nothing N I haven't messed around with 1:11:17 Claude regarding deep dives into 1:11:19 technical AI things it might be worth 1:11:21 playing with cuz it it looks like it's 1:11:23 it looks like it's doing code pretty 1:11:25 damn well and it's you know similar to I 1:11:28 was saying this I think it was before 1:11:29 you got here Pate 1:11:32 um the Gemini 1:11:35 Pro 1 point or yeah 1.5 version was 1:11:40 better than the Gemini Ultra one version 1:11:42 and then 1.5 Ultra never came out this 1:11:45 appears to be the same kind of thing 1:11:47 with Claude where this is the the Sonet 1:11:50 sized version the the you know the 1:11:52 normal sized version the middle one 1:11:56 and it's at 3.5 and it's better than 1:11:58 chat 1:11:59 gp4 so um we assume they're going to 1:12:02 come out with the fancy version at some 1:12:04 point in the future I just had Sonet 1:12:06 make me a word processor that saves docs 1:12:09 and Doc X format and 1:12:13 RTF amazing I I want to try that damn it 1:12:17 all right that's a good idea all right 1:12:20 Kyle you donate your time and knowledge 1:12:22 and it's much appreciated thank you oh I 1:12:24 appreciate that very much 1:12:26 I appreciate that I you know I I 1:12:29 wouldn't say I donate it um I certainly 1:12:32 don't make any 1:12:34 money so it's I I put in a lot of time 1:12:38 but I get a lot of value out of doing 1:12:41 this and and the the thing the the most 1:12:45 important thing I get out of this is I 1:12:47 mean one is just the community here is 1:12:48 awesome so there's great people and 1:12:50 making good friends and and even 1:12:52 professional connections that are that 1:12:54 are pretty deep 1:12:57 um what this channel does most for me 1:13:00 and and what I intend it for you is that 1:13:04 it keeps me in the AI 1:13:07 conversation this stuff is exhausting 1:13:10 it's exhausting to keep up with it's 1:13:12 exhausting to learn and if I weren't 1:13:16 doing this I would let three or four or 1:13:19 five months pass in between paying 1:13:21 attention to it and by doing this every 1:13:24 night that doesn't happen I'm I'm like 1:13:27 on on top of it as the stuff comes out 1:13:29 and I just that feels really important 1:13:31 to me so that's what the channel is but 1:13:33 I appreciate the kind words okay so 1:13:36 let's 1:13:38 see 1:13:43 um yeah let's just 1:13:51 do I want you to create me 1:13:55 a notet taking app that has word 1:13:58 processor features built into 1:14:02 it 1:14:04 and a note saving system that allows me 1:14:08 to navigate my notes 1:14:12 period all the basic functions should be 1:14:15 there 1:14:16 period I should also be able to export a 1:14:20 note as a text file a PDF a Word 1:14:24 document 1:14:28 or 1:14:29 as a static 1:14:32 image of the text 1:14:36 period we'll see we'll see what it does 1:14:39 this is my far favorite part of the day 1:14:41 I'm going to hop on everyone here is so 1:14:42 great and Kyle is the best oh thank you 1:14:45 heidish I I really appreciate that and I 1:14:48 agree like 1:14:50 I this 1:14:52 channel like every one of these nightly 1:14:55 Jam CS it's like the what's going on in 1:14:58 the comments is a whole 1:15:00 separate thing than what I'm doing and 1:15:03 and it's it's this cool Jam your last 1:15:05 comment shows how much I love the 1:15:08 channel due to the fact that I'm not 1:15:10 neuros spicy wow steo that's amazing 1:15:14 thank you you're you're amazing here 1:15:17 okay let's 1:15:19 see application side 1:15:23 error it broke 1:15:26 [Laughter] 1:15:30 I love being able to because this is 1:15:32 what I say to my developers they're 1:15:34 they're like you know okay your 1:15:36 application's done and I'm like it broke 1:15:38 and they're like well it shouldn't and 1:15:41 I'm like well it 1:15:44 did they're like can you replicate it 1:15:47 I'm like yeah when I try to run it it 1:15:53 won't what see the browser 1:16:01 console what did it 1:16:03 do without more 1:16:12 information it's a client side exception 1:16:15 error period it's said to see the 1:16:18 browser console period can you please 1:16:20 analyze the code and find out what went 1:16:22 wrong and fix it period I need to take 1:16:25 some notes and need an application to 1:16:28 take my notes in because a really good 1:16:31 one doesn't exist so I want you to write 1:16:33 it right now period I know you can do it 1:16:36 period you're the best Claude period 1:16:38 you're seriously the best man period 1:16:42 you're like such a good coder that I 1:16:44 know you can fix it period man yeah man 1:16:51 cool all right sometimes you got to give 1:16:54 it encouragement 1:16:55 people I appreciate your enthusi 1:16:58 enthusiasm and confidence in my 1:17:00 abilities let's take a closer look at 1:17:03 the code all right let 1:17:14 see when I I mean when I first had oh 1:17:20 look note title um Jims 1:17:27 toe 1:17:31 toes 1:17:33 Jim had really crusty 1:17:36 toes period but he went to a lady who 1:17:40 had little 1:17:41 fish in a 1:17:43 bowl at the bottom of a chair period and 1:17:47 he put his 1:17:48 feet in the water with the fish period 1:17:52 and they ate all the Crusty off period 1:17:55 humans are weird 1:17:59 period save oh look there's Jim's toes 1:18:03 oh that's so cool new 1:18:05 note 1:18:09 um Bob's 1:18:12 Apple Bob's 1:18:16 Apple Bob had an 1:18:19 apple and it was sweet and red and Bob 1:18:25 took a bite out of it and there was a 1:18:28 worm in it and he thought 1:18:33 drat I was excited to eat an apple and 1:18:37 now I'm eating a worm period 1:18:41 hey this worm is pretty 1:18:44 tasty 1:18:46 period save go back to Jim's 1:18:50 toes this is 1:18:52 amazing search notes okay I'm going to 1:18:55 search 1:18:57 oops um 1:19:01 fish it's even got a search function in 1:19:05 it Kyle's mind and pattern of thought 1:19:09 never cease to amaze 1:19:19 me hey if you can't have fun with this 1:19:22 [ __ ] okay so we got to go back here um 1:19:26 great it's now 1:19:28 functional 1:19:31 great great it's now functional period 1:19:35 but the buttons at the bottom of the 1:19:37 screen are too big and overlap one 1:19:40 another can you please 1:19:43 adjust the ux so it is more 1:19:47 aesthetically pleasing 1:19:49 period by the way has anyone ever told 1:19:52 you you're awwesome question mark 1:19:55 [Laughter] 1:19:58 thank you for the kind words I'm glad to 1:20:01 hear the app is now functional let's 1:20:02 improve the UI and make it more 1:20:04 aesthetically pleasing especially the 1:20:06 buttons at the bottom of the screen oh 1:20:08 so 1:20:10 exciting oh please show it save a PDF 1:20:14 okay I 1:20:17 will this is 1:20:21 unbelievable there it is okay we can at 1:20:23 least see all these things now 1:20:29 all right let's 1:20:32 see 1:20:35 um Sally's 1:20:40 earwig one 1:20:42 night one night Sally was sleeping and 1:20:46 she heard a loud crashing and she 1:20:48 thought there was a train coming through 1:20:50 apartment wall period when she opened 1:20:53 her eyes there was nothing there 1:20:55 period but she still heard the train 1:20:58 period and then she realized there was a 1:21:02 bug in her ear 1:21:06 period that actually happened to my wife 1:21:08 in New York 1:21:10 City uh save okay and then we're going 1:21:14 to go save as 1:21:17 PDF that didn't work save his image 1:21:21 no okay 1:21:23 so the the save 1:21:26 buttons don't seem functional right now 1:21:30 period they should 1:21:32 call a system 1:21:36 level 1:21:39 finder model to save the file to the 1:21:43 local hard drive 1:21:47 period I apologize for the confusion 1:21:50 you're seem right that the save 1:21:52 functionality isn't fully implemented 1:22:03 sample inputting data checking to see if 1:22:06 it's exporting 1:22:08 properly 1:22:10 sh g g gang oh text Json HTML that's 1:22:16 interesting 1:22:20 um 1:22:21 Jessica's map 1:22:29 Jessica was nice period Jessica was part 1:22:33 of the Gen 1:22:34 Z 1:22:37 generation 1:22:43 period once Jessica's 1:22:47 daddy told her that she should learn how 1:22:49 to read a map and she said but Daddy 1:22:53 you're a dumb dumb 1:22:55 I've got Google 1:22:57 period and then one day Google was down 1:23:02 and Jessica was lost period She sure 1:23:05 wished she would have listened to her 1:23:07 daddy way back in those map folding days 1:23:14 period save all right Jessica's map is 1:23:16 in there let's save this out as text 1:23:20 file nothing all right not there anyway 1:23:25 uh let's do one more 1:23:30 thing the file 1:23:34 saving features are still not there and 1:23:37 you changed the file types from what I 1:23:39 originally requested period that is the 1:23:42 sign of a bad programmer period or 1:23:46 someone who doesn't listen period I know 1:23:48 you definitely listen period I'd just 1:23:51 like you to pay more attention period I 1:23:54 think it's a good good way for you to 1:23:55 improve who you are as an employee and 1:23:58 how you contribute to the organization 1:24:02 period as always you're awesome period 1:24:06 oh and by the way can we add in some 1:24:09 formatting tools like bold an underline 1:24:12 an 1:24:13 italic 1:24:15 period and maybe write a line Center a 1:24:19 line and left a line period oh and let's 1:24:22 add bullet points as a formatting option 1:24:26 as well period you know like a word 1:24:29 processor period you know 1:24:33 [Laughter] 1:24:39 period I don't even understand what Kyle 1:24:42 just said to try to get Claud to do 1:24:45 something different well I you know I 1:24:49 know enough about programming that I can 1:24:51 at least talk it I I do this all day 1:24:53 with my developers so I I understand 1:24:56 coding enough to be a pain in the ass 1:25:00 client look there's our formatting 1:25:05 [ __ ] 1:25:14 um and then if we go this one and we 1:25:17 click on Center it centered it this is 1:25:19 unfuckingbelievable 1:25:20 people I mean I I don't know 1:25:26 you know all those um underline that's 1:25:30 underline let's make this one bold 1:25:34 bold let's make all of it 1:25:39 italic it it went back to these file 1:25:42 formats so we're going to save that 1:25:45 those things are still unfunctional th 1:25:48 this we would probably have to actually 1:25:50 learn a little bit about coding 1:25:55 this is [ __ ] 1:25:57 Bonkers it really 1:26:01 is react component Noe app with word 1:26:09 processor let's make these bullet 1:26:13 points oh that didn't 1:26:17 work 1:26:22 no the bullet point 1:26:25 function doesn't work as expected 1:26:34 period you're right I appreciate you 1:26:37 pointing that out 1:27:10 [Music] 1:27:12 oh wait hang on something's wrong here 1:27:20 wait I would like to 1:27:23 order whoa 1:27:26 that was freaky what the [ __ ] 1:27:30 was 1:27:33 I 1:27:35 hi Siri 1:27:39 I 1:27:41 would like to order yeah this is weird 1:27:54 well 1:27:58 [Music] 1:28:00 anyway highlight 1:28:03 these y bullets still don't 1:28:08 work 1:28:11 underline 1:28:13 bold metallic all right well that's 1:28:17 pretty [ __ ] 1:28:18 incredible pretty [ __ ] incredible 1:28:28 whoever made the comment about you know 1:28:30 you didn't even understand how I said 1:28:32 something the th the thing 1:28:35 about the thing about having a tool 1:28:37 that's this capable with something like 1:28:41 coding is that it's not only good at 1:28:43 coding it's good at explaining the 1:28:46 concepts of 1:28:47 coding so rather than just jumping in 1:28:50 and saying make me an app that does this 1:28:52 you could jump in and say I'm going to 1:28:54 have you write me an application but 1:28:56 before we get to there I want you to 1:28:59 teach me about how coding works and what 1:29:02 what are the terminologies and you know 1:29:04 what are the concepts I need to 1:29:06 know and then here's the kind of thing I 1:29:09 want to do and I want you to recommend 1:29:12 what language I should use and what 1:29:15 tools I should use if any other than you 1:29:18 right like it can walk you through all 1:29:20 that if you want to get into coding 1:29:21 without coding I mean 1:29:27 you witnessed that and whoever said it I 1:29:30 forget sorry I forget who said that they 1:29:33 made the word process that I'm like oh I 1:29:35 want to go make one of those 1:29:38 like come up with an app idea and just 1:29:42 have it do it and the first thing it's 1:29:43 going to create is going to be basic and 1:29:45 ugly and then just keep going in and say 1:29:47 I want it to do this I want it to do 1:29:49 that I want it to do 1:29:51 that can you save it well yeah all the 1:29:53 codes right here 1:29:55 here I guess it's 1:29:57 react let me 1:30:04 ask what is this coded in and how would 1:30:08 I use it outside of the development 1:30:22 environment the code is written in react 1:30:24 a popular JavaScript library for 1:30:26 building user interfaces here's a 1:30:28 breakdown of how you would use it 1:30:29 outside of this environment technology 1:30:32 stack development to production build 1:30:34 the application you would typically use 1:30:37 a tool like create react app or 1:30:40 nextjs run a build 1:30:44 command npm run build or yarn build to 1:30:48 create optimized production files 1:30:50 deployment the built files usually in a 1:30:53 build or disc folder can be deployed to 1:30:56 a web server or Cloud hosting service so 1:31:00 this is this is explaining how to deal 1:31:03 with the 1:31:09 code I just had Sonet make oh oh it was 1:31:12 Detroit J Holden yeah that's right thank 1:31:13 you thank you for repinning that um yeah 1:31:15 Detroit J like 1:31:18 that's it's just [ __ ] 1:31:21 Bonkers and again 1:31:25 I'm not a coder so I'm going to do 1:31:27 stupid [ __ ] here and I'm also going to 1:31:28 be more impressed with it than I should 1:31:30 be right because I'm not a coder but if 1:31:33 you are a coder you'll be able to use 1:31:36 this tool on a different level because 1:31:38 you'll be able to see oh it's doing how 1:31:41 it's approaching this is not the way I 1:31:43 would approach it so you can then say to 1:31:45 Claude do it the way I want it done and 1:31:48 it would go okay sure I'll do it your 1:31:50 way and then you'll say no I want this 1:31:52 as modular components not as a 1:31:55 monolithic block of code okay and it'll 1:31:58 break it into modules or whatever you 1:32:00 know so it's like all this stuff like if 1:32:02 you're really good with illustration 1:32:04 you're going to be good at things like 1:32:05 mid Journey if you're really good at 1:32:07 writing you're going to be good at you 1:32:09 know recognizing shitty writing When You 1:32:12 See 1:32:13 It dunkaroo great lesson tools on Google 1:32:17 for free 1:32:20 awesome nothing is wrong Kyle your 1:32:22 program is working as it should as it 1:32:24 should 1:32:26 be I want to learn to code but hate 1:32:29 coding me too I've got add I can't 1:32:33 honest to God when it was writing all 1:32:35 that code like when chbt writes code it 1:32:38 writes like a chunk like this big and 1:32:39 I'm like I could parse it and I could 1:32:42 see it and 1:32:44 right that was writing so much code it 1:32:46 was giving me anxiety I'm like uh if I 1:32:49 actually wanted to have to read that and 1:32:51 understand it that would suck but you 1:32:52 don't have to now you could say to 1:32:54 Claude or chat 1:32:56 GPT um document this code explain it to 1:33:00 me explain what's happening and and 1:33:02 comment the code actually I've got I've 1:33:04 got one all right there's our preview 1:33:06 I've got one um message remaining until 1:33:11 until midnight so here's what I'm going 1:33:13 to 1:33:16 do I want you to document the 1:33:22 code comprehensively 1:33:25 so I can easily glance through it and 1:33:28 understand what the different sections 1:33:30 are and what the codes doing in that 1:33:32 section 1:33:34 period And I probably didn't even need 1:33:36 to say that much I could probably just 1:33:39 say wait did I say document no not 1:33:42 document the code I want you 1:33:44 to 1:33:47 um comment the 1:33:52 code okay here we go boom documenting 1:33:56 the code would have written an external 1:33:57 document this should rewrite the 1:34:05 code let me see if I can see 1:34:09 it sync the text editor with the value 1:34:13 prop apply formatting to the selected 1:34:16 text handle changes in the content 1:34:21 editor editable content area 1:34:25 reusable button 1:34:27 component yeah so this has gone through 1:34:31 so I don't have I don't have any I'm I'm 1:34:32 out of I can't do anything else here so 1:34:34 it it didn't do it as comprehensively as 1:34:36 I wanted but it it did it like it's 1:34:38 every one of these select the note for 1:34:40 editing create a new blank 1:34:43 note right 1:34:45 so this this would be a really good way 1:34:47 to learn 1:34:48 code right to learn the concepts of 1:34:51 coding have it write some code 1:34:54 oh this would be a great idea okay 1:34:56 here's an idea could I run a created 1:35:00 game from Claude and then paste the code 1:35:02 into Google's collab 2 yeah you could 1:35:04 absolutely do that you could put it in 1:35:06 repet you could put it in um any any 1:35:08 sort of runtime 1:35:10 environment um this is just code that 1:35:13 runs like normal code so yeah they're 1:35:15 just running it right now they're 1:35:17 running it in in this react 1:35:19 component 1:35:21 um a fun a fun project to 1:35:27 do would be to tell it to create the 1:35:30 application that you want get the 1:35:32 application working decently well and 1:35:35 then have it give you a 1:35:38 tutorial on how it wrote the code and 1:35:41 how it thought about each of the 1:35:42 components of the code and show you the 1:35:45 code examples and tell you what it 1:35:48 did and like tell it you wanted to 1:35:51 explain very basic programming Concepts 1:35:54 like variables or what you know just say 1:35:57 I I want you to use the code you just 1:35:59 wrote as the examples and and teach me 1:36:03 what you did and how you thought about 1:36:04 it that would be a pretty cool little 1:36:07 little 1:36:08 diddy about it that would be a pretty 1:36:11 cool little little 1:36:16 diddy yeah I like it I like it people 1:36:21 all right this was this was a bit of a 1:36:23 geeky rabbit hole cuz we're doing coding 1:36:25 coding doesn't play well on screen but 1:36:28 it I mean it was kind of cool just 1:36:29 watching it write code and then up came 1:36:32 the application ready to 1:36:34 playy pretty remarkable stuff 1:36:38 so chat GPT better get their [ __ ] 1:36:41 together I posted a link in water cooler 1:36:44 for training oh that's a awesome Detroit 1:36:46 Jay Holden okay so what he's talking 1:36:48 about if you're new 1:36:52 here when we talk about the Irregulars 1:36:55 Channel and the water cooler and things 1:36:57 like that that's 1:37:00 all 1:37:04 at that's not the 1:37:06 right uh uh 1:37:09 [Music] 1:37:12 uh well you can go there go to AIS 1:37:15 salon. 1:37:19 mn. and that's the AI salon 1:37:24 is just a cool place where people can 1:37:27 hang out and talk about AI I feel super 1:37:30 smart just sitting in on a conversation 1:37:33 about 1:37:39 coding oh 1:37:41 man Well's funny you know it's 1:37:45 like one of the values of the AI Salon 1:37:48 is 1:37:50 curiosity and I'm very curious about how 1:37:54 this [ __ ] works I know I like I have 1:37:57 accepted that I don't have the brain to 1:37:58 be able to do it now I do because of 1:38:02 AI I one of the things one of the 1:38:05 biggest things that I see AI providing 1:38:07 in the world 1:38:11 is 1:38:12 accessibility for all of our 1:38:16 shortcomings like I've got ADHD I don't 1:38:19 have the attention span to do 1:38:21 coding but I understand coding and I 1:38:24 like thinking logically like I I like I 1:38:27 like the problem solving that coding 1:38:30 requires but I just like doing it at a 1:38:32 high 1:38:33 level now I've got tools rather than 1:38:36 having to work with someone I understand 1:38:38 it enough to know what to ask for oh you 1:38:41 want to know about how programming and 1:38:43 Hardware 1:38:46 works I 1:38:49 I well for the [ __ ] I want to build I do 1:38:54 and and you know quite frankly 1:38:56 for understanding how generative AI 1:38:58 worked yeah like I I did want to know 1:39:00 that in fact the the lesson pain that 1:39:02 you gave on when I asked the question 1:39:05 wait what's the difference between a CPU 1:39:07 a GPU and a 1:39:10 TPU and then you explained it in a clear 1:39:13 enough way that I could I could grock it 1:39:15 I could get ah okay now I get why why 1:39:17 you would use those different 1:39:21 things so yeah I like him understanding 1:39:24 that stuff so having that kind of 1:39:26 curiosity now that now that we have the 1:39:29 the tool that understands everything in 1:39:32 the universe just get curious about 1:39:34 [ __ ] 1:39:36 anything and then have it be 1:39:39 there have it have it teach you how to 1:39:41 do that and when we get real time the 1:39:44 real time 1:39:46 voice where you're just going to be able 1:39:48 to have a window up on your computer 1:39:50 that can see everything on your screen 1:39:53 and then you can just say like I like I 1:39:55 do here where I'm talking with the the 1:39:57 voice [ __ ] I can just go wait why is 1:40:01 that thing purple and it'll go oh you're 1:40:04 right that shouldn't be purple that 1:40:05 should be blue let me fix 1:40:10 that could we make the little Sprites in 1:40:13 this game look more like that thing in 1:40:15 the screenshot up there oh 1:40:19 sure can you make it faster sure 1:40:24 what happened to the salon. a I 1:40:26 obviously just have the wrong uh 1:40:28 presentation 1:40:29 [Laughter] 1:40:40 open this 1:40:43 isn't I'm totally confused oh there it 1:40:48 is there's the salon. 1:40:51 a that's that's the one I want you to go 1:40:54 look at cuz that one has this has the 1:40:56 merch store on 1:40:58 it and that's also like I like using 1:41:01 this one just 1:41:02 because there's sometimes I want to show 1:41:04 I want to add other links to this page 1:41:07 so this just a link 1:41:09 tree the salon. 1:41:12 a don't we have a cool 1:41:15 logo I love that 1:41:20 logo a salon 1:41:23 see it's an A and then it's a road and 1:41:27 then it's a dude and it's a moon over 1:41:31 the road and it's a mount it's a it's 1:41:32 like the um from Close Encounters the 1:41:36 Little Mountain where the where the UFO 1:41:38 thing it's all of those it's 1:41:40 everything and it's a 1:41:44 pH did you already talk about chat GPT 5 1:41:47 what's new about it uh no they did they 1:41:52 announce that [ __ ] I think they just 1:41:54 said it's coming July 15th someone said 1:41:56 that I saw a single tweet about it let 1:41:58 me go look and see if I can find 1:42:00 anything more on 1:42:04 it let's go g chat 1:42:09 JP 1:42:12 five CH j five 1:42:50 at the trajectory of 1:43:08 n there's nothing there's nothing 1:43:11 nothing people nothing nothing 1:43:16 nothing all right 1:43:21 people tapping thank thank you Mr it I 1:43:24 appreciate that thank you for all the 1:43:26 hearty Hearts people you're up to 13,000 1:43:28 if you're if you're wagering at 1:43:30 home um by the way all the people 1:43:35 tapping there's three ways that you can 1:43:38 tap one is 1:43:41 preferred you can tap the oldfashioned 1:43:43 way and that's to get a 1:43:46 digit and and tap and if you want to get 1:43:51 ambitious double tap 1:43:55 this will cause carpel tunnel 1:43:57 syndrome and for older people like a lot 1:44:01 of 1:44:02 us it can be pretty 1:44:05 painful that's method one method two you 1:44:09 go to 1:44:10 Amazon and you search for autot 1:44:15 Tapper and then you stick this thing on 1:44:18 your phone and it goes 1:44:21 g you could do that 1:44:24 method 1:44:26 two method three and this is the 1:44:29 preferred method pioneered in Australia 1:44:33 by 1:44:35 steo you get your 1:44:37 grandchildren to tap on the screen for 1:44:40 you so you're watching the Tik Tock just 1:44:43 drinking a beer punching a kangaroo or 1:44:46 whatever you do down 1:44:48 there and you're like hey Mary Maddie 1:44:52 come on over 1:44:56 start 1:44:57 tapping she's like but grandpa I don't 1:45:00 want to start 1:45:03 tapping Grandpa my hand hurts keep 1:45:06 tapping use your other hand Grandpa my 1:45:09 hand can I stop you can't 1:45:11 stop get your grandkids or your kids to 1:45:16 do the tapping for you this is the 1:45:18 preferred 1:45:19 method we're teaching them discipline 1:45:25 it's called structure people it's so 1:45:30 valuable 1:45:31 and tell them it's a 1:45:36 competition and they shouldn't win all 1:45:38 that 1:45:39 often came in second again it's my 1:45:42 grandpa my hand hurts I want to 1:45:49 win all 1:45:50 right I installed the AI salon app but 1:45:53 it requires precise location for some 1:45:56 silly reason the AI salon 1:45:59 app it's just a website you oh oh it's 1:46:03 it the mighty networks's 1:46:05 app yeah it requires your location so 1:46:08 that so one of the things that Mighty 1:46:10 networks does so a couple of things 1:46:11 about the AI Salon one it's free let me 1:46:14 get the the thing back up 1:46:16 there one it's 1:46:20 free the other thing about the AI Salon 1:46:23 the way Mighty networks works and the 1:46:25 and and something we strongly encourage 1:46:27 is we want people to use their real name 1:46:30 and you know put your picture in there 1:46:32 because connecting in community is going 1:46:35 to be important for the future of work 1:46:37 your work my work all of our 1:46:41 work so one of the things that Mighty 1:46:43 networks does is it want it understands 1:46:45 your location so it can find other 1:46:48 people in the salon near you there's 1:46:50 views within Mighty networks where you 1:46:52 can say find people near me and it gives 1:46:54 you a whole little map it's really cool 1:46:57 there's also like things like find 1:46:58 people that have similar interests 1:47:00 there's a thing that's just like here's 1:47:01 people that are similar to me it's 1:47:03 pretty 1:47:04 slick so that's why it's asking for your 1:47:07 location um double tap is also a zombie 1:47:10 movie title name it totally is autot 1:47:13 Tapper is is that like the chat gbt 1:47:15 button you can make money 1:47:20 exactly all right I got to get out of 1:47:21 here people um 1:47:23 um that was kind of 1:47:26 cool I I am I am personally struck and 1:47:31 disappointed with 1:47:35 myself 1:47:39 in that I didn't have a bigger reaction 1:47:42 to Claude writing and executing 1:47:45 code at that 1:47:51 level I feel feel like I feel like I've 1:47:54 gotten a little 1:47:58 too you know what it 1:48:01 is you you can't you can't ever be 1:48:04 innocent 1:48:06 again so I feel like I feel like I'm I'm 1:48:13 AI I'm I'm AI educated enough to be like 1:48:17 well yeah of course it writes code and 1:48:20 executes it like that of course it does 1:48:22 it's a 1:48:25 so I'm turning into a smarmy AI 1:48:31 [ __ ] I got to get back to beginner's 1:48:33 mind somehow I'm like oh my God it R 1:48:37 cold it's amazing look oh my god did you 1:48:39 know I could do 1:48:41 that I missed that 1:48:44 me now I'm just like oh yeah sure yeah 1:48:48 it does 1:48:49 that it understands and simulates 1:48:52 reality 1:48:53 it's the actual Hol 1:48:57 deck that's what this Channel's turning 1:49:00 into I'm sorry I failed 1:49:03 you I failed you all right get back to 1:49:08 your childish enthusiasm for this [ __ ] 1:49:10 people don't be like me it will hit you 1:49:13 your brain can't process what it saw 1:49:15 just yet you'll wake at 3 up 3:00 a.m. 1:49:17 in the morning yeah that's 1:49:18 true in a cold sweat that's really funny 1:49:23 um all right do me a favor there's 80 1:49:25 people in here first of all thanks for 1:49:27 hanging out that's really cool um follow 1:49:30 my channel if you 1:49:31 don't why it doesn't really matter this 1:49:35 is what I learned about Tik 1:49:37 Tok I've got 36,000 followers and 1:49:42 apparently like I'm it's I'm just it's 1:49:44 just sinking in now how Tik Tok 1:49:48 works all of the content you produce is 1:49:53 um the algorithm is for 1:49:56 interest not your social network so the 1:50:00 fact that you follow me I don't think it 1:50:02 does 1:50:04 anything I put out content and then it 1:50:07 doesn't go to you all it just goes out 1:50:09 there they show it to 100 people and 1:50:11 they're like did the hundred people give 1:50:13 a [ __ ] and if they didn't then they 1:50:15 don't show it to any more people and if 1:50:17 they did then it goes to 200 then it 1:50:19 goes to 500 then it goes to a th000 then 1:50:21 it goes to 2,000 1:50:27 which is 1:50:28 why all of the videos I make from now on 1:50:31 and the lives I'm going to do in a 1:50:38 manini who would not be interested in 1:50:42 [Laughter] 1:50:47 that Rachel Sparkles thank you as always 1:50:50 fun to learn here thank you so much AI 1:50:53 is so underhyped I agree and by the way 1:50:55 in the corner is a video series called 1:50:59 underhyped uh which is a series of 1:51:01 videos I made talking about why AI is a 1:51:03 bigger deal than than uh people think it 1:51:06 is uh so if you want to pick that 1:51:08 up am I spoiled yes I am completely 1:51:11 spoiled I love what I learned tonight 1:51:13 can't wait to try it yeah please go go 1:51:15 play with Claude it's it looks like it's 1:51:17 overloaded right now the servers are a 1:51:19 bit janky um and I would imagine that 1:51:21 it's going to it's going to improve over 1:51:23 the next week or so just cuz that's how 1:51:25 these things always 1:51:26 work 1:51:27 um all right 25k I can sleep now oh you 1:51:31 guys are 1:51:32 awesome all right I'm out of here thanks 1:51:35 uh Irregulars thank you mods um thank 1:51:38 you subscribers thank you just thank you 1:51:40 everyone thank you for everyone who 1:51:41 shows up here and let's do a little 1:51:43 Romper Room magic mirror I see Joey I 1:51:46 see Firefly Teton skier Lord digital 1:51:49 Gods 1:51:51 Allan uh 1:51:55 Brandon thank you so much for everything 1:51:57 sir event so we'll we'll 1:52:13 save that for special events the 1:52:16 manini man Kyle 1:52:19 Keeny Total Wellness with Steven thought 1:52:22 the man was funny Danielle was like 1:52:26 no Rachel Sparkles laughing Cosmic lover 1:52:31 laughing it's comedy abound with Kyle 1:52:34 and a 1:52:35 bikini is he wearing a 1:52:40 speedo what what what are we in Greece 1:52:44 what's going on 1:52:51 here oh 1:52:54 I'll I'll spare you I won't do it it 1:52:59 listen if I want if I want to grow if I 1:53:02 want to tap into the interest graft I 1:53:04 got to come up with ways right I guess 1:53:07 this is why I got to go 1:53:10 to that's why those idiots do 1:53:15 that algorithm hackers see I'm of the 1:53:20 old school the the old school 1:53:23 Antiquated ineffective mode of like I'll 1:53:26 just make content that I think's 1:53:31 good no you gotta you can make 1:53:36 money all right everybody um thanks all 1:53:40 tomorrow's Friday Friday night date 1:53:43 night I've got an event tomorrow night 1:53:46 so I've got a Colorado companies to 1:53:51 watch dinner 1:53:53 where they announced the winners we won 1:53:55 last year or the year before for uh for 1:53:58 Story vine and and as an 1:54:01 alumni I I'm going to go to that so 1:54:03 it'll probably be 9:00 tomorrow night 1:54:05 all right and then uh yeah so I'll see 1:54:08 you tomorrow peace out everybody thanks 1:54:10 for all your time I appreciate it a lot 1:54:12 bye
