20. 5:24me the podcast with an Murphy and I I'm pushing it to the AI website not to the AI learning Lab website that's that's
21. 5:33why you couldn't find it cuz it's it's kind of a co-production of salon and she leads AI hey Danielle Brandon played that
22. 5:48recording to me of you got chat GPT advanced voice to sing to you I couldn't get mine to do it so I don't know what
23. 5:56you always seem to get stuff a little earlier than everyone everyone else I I have a feeling something's going going

38. 9:25Anora was a good film but it wasn't a it it wasn't a Best Picture film and it w best picture the budget for Anora was $6 million which for
39. 9:40movies these days that's ridiculously cheap the budget to Market Anora to win best picture was $18 million they spent three times as much
40. 9:53money marketing it just for the Oscars not like marketing it for people to see it just marketing it to Hollywood they
41. 10:01spent $18 million um marketing it to the academy it was not a good movie I thought it was a good movie but I
42. 10:10thought it was a good movie like it was good performances it was fine like it was fine it was fine it was
43. 10:18good I don't think she deserved best actress I don't think the film deserved best but it swept cuz they [ __ ] they made the investment man

55. 13:19think about Sora the the the chat GPT video maker um last March it was radical this
56. 13:35March there's a [ __ ] dozen different video things out there that are all doing interesting stuff I think pika pika Labs is the only
57. 13:46one that seems to be trying to differentiate itself with cute little pre- prompted goodies which I think is
58. 13:53smart it it at least gets people to use it and share [ __ ] on social media I think it's a smart strategy everyone
59. 13:59else is trying to be the Hollywood killer um apparently they're working on a new version of Sora that's you know
60. 14:07Sora 2.0 that doesn't suck but I don't know or advanced voice with video that would be nice Rick olssen greetings all hey Rick what's

78. 17:49coming that I'm a little like eh it doesn't really matter what we do now because the new stuff's just going to eat
79. 17:59it um which is a really bad place to be because I'm not learning right is the the longer I sit not being in whatever this is right

81. 18:31the other place I've been is I think that um I hate that Vibe coding is called Vibe coding because it feels like
82. 18:41something that's going to be stupid to say three months from now because it's kind of stupid to say now um but the
83. 18:48whole idea of being able to talk an app into existence um those tools are getting really powerful really good as
84. 18:56the large language models are getting better those tools are getting getting good so I feel like that's something I
85. 19:01should be learning I just don't have a deep amount of patience for it right now because they still kind of suck
86. 19:12but as we know as we talk about on this channel all the all the time the minute these tools start not
87. 19:22sucking the opportunity will have passed us the opportunity is right now so for as long as these tools are janky which
88. 19:30is probably a year year and a half there's a lot of opportunity and then shit's going to start accelerating and then it's just
89. 19:40going to get crazy people are going to be like oh we got to get in now then it's going to be too late um God I don't know what to do all
90. 19:56right what does remarkable mean well what what remarkable means to
91. 20:13me you could easily argue that the tools in their current state are remarkable that you can go to sunno
92. 20:20right now and have it write a song in 15 seconds that is good enough to listen to is remarkable the fact that you can
93. 20:30go to Claude 3.7 right now and just ask it to write an app and it writes an app and let you start using it within three minutes is
94. 20:43remarkable what I'm talking about is there's a difference between parlor tricks and doing work with AI I don't think there's an exception
95. 20:59I'm trying to think if there's an exception no there's not a single AI tool that I've used where when I try to use it for for
96. 21:15work right for for a for a known ending that it hasn't failed me along the way they always crap out in the last 10% last 15% last
97. 21:2920% you can demo them really well and they're really good in fact an Murphy was talking about this today she's out
98. 21:38looking at speaker uh venues for for a conference for she leads Ai and she had chat GPT teach her and her husband um
99. 21:51everything they should know about managing an event like that and so it did this really impressive list and blah
100. 21:58blah blah blah and it failed to include in the list something that they found out in real time which is if you
101. 22:08organize a big conference where people fly in from other cities and stay in hotels you as the organizer actually
102. 22:16have to book the hotel rooms in blocks ahead of time and pay up front she didn't know that chat GPT didn't tell tell her that that's a
103. 22:30perfect example of where there's just this Gap right now where when you try to do something real there's something
104. 22:37that's not quite there and that's the thing that I think is going to shift in the next year to 18 months is that we're
105. 22:44g to start to have tools that go from it couldn't quite do my job to holy [ __ ] it can do my job way better than me and
106. 22:53we're just not there yet so that's that's what it is bottle gome okay good I have the same issue struggle to 100%
107. 23:01finish things yeah exactly struggle to 100% finish things is the problem all right let's go to where's my

114. 24:10their voices are going to sound like and it creates uh hosts for you jelly pod. um I've gotten into the habit of
115. 24:20asking every chat is there anything else we've forgotten three or four times that's a good one yeah it's just it's it's
116. 24:32like that gets frustrating that the the not getting to 100% thing and listen this is I am an absolute
117. 24:48[ __ ] for bitching about this I mean it's hard to overstate how remarkable it is that any of us have been given access to tools this
118. 25:05powerful right our computers do not act like they used to act they are generating things at our request that is
119. 25:15absolutely [ __ ] remarkable the fact that I'm bitching about the fact that I've got to do a little bit of work at the end is is is
120. 25:25insane it's it's overprivileged to the point of just like it's embarrassing and that's where I am it's
121. 25:34like like if you're going to be 85% good maybe someone could make one that's 99% good and that's and so I'm just stuck in
122. 25:44the 15% right now so I'm just a whiny little [ __ ] all right um 80% is a huge Head Start no that to to be clear we are living in remarkable
123. 25:55times I mean not for nothing I have I've spent the past year refining um a musical that I want to get produced on
124. 26:05Broadway um and and the the bulk the core of the idea was done you know very very quickly within three weeks and then
125. 26:13we spent a year fixing it right and that's just where it is right now two years from now I can probably get that to
126. 26:2390% really really quick so anyway all right so that's what this is so we're going to create a new episode and then how
127. 26:31we figure out what to say is we ask chat GPT to do that for us and it did um podcast podcat

132. 27:33we do now so I'm not I'm not teaching AI anymore I'm teaching everyone to be like over opinionated [Laughter]
