33. 8:28feature on election day that doesn't that that seems stupid they leaked they leaked 01 the non- preview version of 01 was leaked last

40. 10:07what's going on in the industry right now and in the industry what's the industry the industry's the [ __ ] I talk about is
41. 10:16generative AI so that's like chat jpt Claude perplexity all that [ __ ] and then it's all the image generation tools music generation
42. 10:24tools video generation tools um so there's there's a lot out there right now and and even with that the industry is
43. 10:39still in this weird sort of what's open AI going to do holding pattern it's a real pain in the ass like like Claude
44. 10:483.5 Haiku launched today and it's apparently better than Claude 3.5 non like the the old version of 3.5 but
45. 10:59way cheaper and um and then open AI sort of leaked their version of 01 that's got vision and and is the real version of the tool
46. 11:12um and I it doesn't seem like it was on purpose it doesn't seem like it was a marketing stunt but that happened last week um
47. 11:25and one of the guys David Shapiro that that I tell you all to follow he quit AI about three weeks ago he just goes we
48. 11:35we're essentially you know my prediction about hitting AGI is essentially done you know o 01 is essentially you know
49. 11:44the shitty ver version of AGI and it's just going to get better from here on out and we've dealt with the safety [ __ ]
50. 11:50and and everything's going to be fine I I quit and he deleted all the content from his YouTube channel and then in the
51. 11:57past two weeks all he's been talking about his AI um and and what he talked what he talked about in a a Twitter post over the weekend
52. 12:09was he's basically done building the tools of AI and now he just wants to talk about how we use it and what we use
53. 12:17it for and why we use it and how it's going to change work and how it's going to affect people that's what we've been
54. 12:22talking about here for two years right and so so and and that's been I've been talking a lot lately about this weird
55. 12:32existential crisis I'm having about what do I talk about on this channel because I feel like like a lot of the other ticktockers
56. 12:46and YouTubers that I used to love their content a lot of them are still talking about tools and I just find myself not giving a
57. 12:57[ __ ] about the tools because there's so many of them and there's and they're so capable that like you can literally just throw a dart at
58. 13:10them and if you put in a weekend you'll be doing remarkable work right like it I get that there's a need to do basic
59. 13:21you know here's how to use chat GPT stuff but I feel the the more important stuff to talk about is how is this going to affect our jobs
60. 13:32when when we get agents that can reason and they can do our work for us what do we do and that I don't know
61. 13:42that I don't know I do not have a good answer for that so strawberry man claiming to be Sam Alman yeah I saw that um I saw actually
62. 13:56someone shared with me a video that um strawberry man is some American dude in Berlin forget his name not

77. 17:06mods so so if you don't know if you're new here a lot of the people that show up here um to the Channel show up here
78. 17:14night after night after night and starting about two weeks ago Tik Tok booted me off the platform and we
79. 17:20started experimenting with streaming on Twitter or yeah Twitter and streaming on YouTube because I didn't have access to
80. 17:28Tik Tok for a while and people seem to like it so I'm I'm going to give it the gippers try to actually shift to the
81. 17:37primary stream being on YouTube um but what it's meant is it's meant chaos like the mods haven't really known
82. 17:45what to do or where to go and and all that sort of stuff so anyway so uh we we at least have the beginnings of the mods
83. 17:54getting back on back on track you know knowing what to do um I also want to shout out Brandon who is my producer now
84. 18:03on streamyard so all of the mess ups that I did last week because I was trying to control everything he's gonna
85. 18:10actually be doing the switching so thank you Brandon for that um and so and but thank you all mods for your patience
86. 18:17because I know it's been a little bit of chaos um Brandon pointed out to me as before we were going live tonight that this is
87. 18:25the AI learning lab and what do you do in Labs you experiment and so all this new streaming stuff different channels is an experiment
88. 18:34so hopefully you bear with me and this isn't too painful um but it is new to me so if I seem a little a little off [Music]

90. 19:10question um possible possible I okay here's the thing I have
91. 19:26spent two years coming up this month I started my Tik Tok Channel end of November or early December um Ive spent two years building that
92. 19:42channel and it is possible that the the legislation that the US government passed on Tik Tock says that as of
93. 19:50January 19th if they have not followed whatever rules or whatever the [ __ ] they were supposed to do they're banned so it
94. 19:58is possible that Tik Tok um goes away from this country um I only had about 400 followers on um on
95. 20:13YouTube and that's now up to 500 because I think a bunch of people from Tik Tok came over and and subscribed there so
96. 20:19thank you for doing that I need to get that to a thousand before I can do any any of the sort of business kind of
97. 20:25stuff on it um so that's my goal for the next month and a half has build that up I could start twitch but I'll be
98. 20:32starting literally from a standing start on Twitch um at least with YouTube I had you know I've got you know 400 hours of
99. 20:39500 hours of content um for my Tik Tok lives on there um I don't mind starting over but it's it's a lot so so I don't
100. 20:50know it's possible it's possible so uh we'll we'll we'll figure it out we will figure it out chaos theory in practice this is totally chaos

106. 22:04stream that's where we're going live how about a Clapper feed yeah exactly where do you prefer us to watch um probably
107. 22:19YouTube I I'm thinking of YouTube as the ultimate destination because that's where the recordings are going to get stored
108. 22:27however X is about to change their algorithm and apparently they're going to be prioritizing lives so I've got a
109. 22:35decent following on X I've got like 2700 followers on X um I feel like YouTube is a decently stagnated channel in fact David Shapiro
110. 22:49who deleted all of his YouTube content um has been over on X for a month and um he said the engage M there is through the
111. 23:00roof um so again I don't know this is all an experiment but I would say I would say the place to the place to
112. 23:07watch the stream is whichever platform you're more comfortable with um the like the YouTube lives are
113. 23:15pretty good they have the comments going down the side um any comments you make I can see them Brandon can see them he'll
114. 23:22pin things to screen as he sees things so if you've got questions for me um or comments or projects that you're working
115. 23:28on that you want to talk about or if there are things that you want to see when I when I shut down the uh whatever

157. 32:34tocom elections and you type in your ZIP code that's my ZIP code it just automatically pulls up you know all of the people you have
158. 32:49to vote for information about them sources about them um it even does things like am I am I in yeah it even does things like um like
159. 33:04you know amendment I Amendment J Amendment K so it's got all of the different little amendments every one of
160. 33:10them you can go into it generates content about it what a yes vote means a yes vote on Amendment K would result in either
161. 33:19deadlines for certain election filings and a publication of ballot me measures in newspapers specifically it would do
162. 33:26this do that if you've ever tried to find like even just find me a voting guide for my thing you can generally
163. 33:33find them but they're sometimes janky there're sometimes out of date there're sometimes you know incomplete and you know this is
164. 33:42explaining it like the difference between an AI search and a Google search is the Google search says you [ __ ] deal with
165. 33:52it you [ __ ] figure it out be like hey hey yeah hey there I'm Google and uh I have all the information but I'm not
166. 34:02going to give you all of it I'm just going to point you to it then you go figure it out okay okay okay oh hey by
167. 34:08the way most of the things I'm GNA point you to is just SEO hacked [ __ ] websites that lead to some sort of sales funnel hope you enjoy

191. 38:36charts and graphs in PDFs in addition to text PDFs are greater than or less than a 100 pages are supported okay great so

331. 1:05:29to assuming that these things get to perfect like like right now I'm working on this musical and it's the amount of human
332. 1:05:46work the amount of human work that us humans are having to put into this musical is significantly higher than I
333. 1:05:54thought it would be right AI can get us to 80% but that last 20% is really more like 80% because you just want to get it
334. 1:06:02right you want to get the story right you want to get the songs right the AI song generators are kind of like eh you
335. 1:06:08know the writing tools are kind of like eh sometimes it does it perfectly and you're like oh great I can do it all
336. 1:06:14with this and then you try to do it and it [ __ ] everything up you're like oh God I gotta go manually edit all this [ __ ] it created
337. 1:06:22right that said the AI like my experience in doing this Channel and my experience in working with people in the AI Salon which by the
338. 1:06:33way let's put that up on screen as a matter of fact if you have not joined the AI Salon

340. 1:07:04go my experience with people in the AI Salon Community is that the thing that AI really does well and I think the reason people get
341. 1:07:18so excited and when people have their Kevin mallister moment they're oh my God I didn't know I could do that
342. 1:07:27it allows you to get ideas out of your head incredibly quickly and the minute you get it out of your head and you can see it
343. 1:07:35objectively you can judge it you can curate it you can refine it you can throw it out you can say oh my God that's the best idea I've ever
344. 1:07:44had and so it's this Humanity amplifier and it's and because the tools are imperfect it's like rather than exploring one idea over the
345. 1:07:58course of a week or two now I'm exploring 30 ideas or 50 or a 100 and it's just exhilarating it still requires us to do
346. 1:08:09a lot of the work now the the question of so I think it's more than just if if if these tools get perfect or if they
347. 1:08:18have a level of per Perfection to them it's really what we're about to see so in in open AIS um five levels of AGI so AGI you know
348. 1:08:33stands for artificial general intelligence that's the point at which these machines become as good or better
349. 1:08:40than most of us at most jobs at doing the jobs not just being able to do certain tasks within a job but actually
350. 1:08:48doing the jobs and so the five levels are chatbots which that we've had for two years level two AGI is reasoning so the 01
351. 1:08:58preview model which is this really crappy sort of proof of concept that in a lot of cases is solving problems at PhD levels that exists
352. 1:09:10now um anthropic just launched autonomous agents in the form of computer use where it can use your computer can surf the Internet and click
353. 1:09:21on things and fill in forms those three are the hardest and they're all kind of here in shitty versions like the chat Bots have gotten
354. 1:09:30really good but they're still janky the reasoning stuff is primarily just with open AI right now um I think
355. 1:09:39an open source thing came out that kind of replicates it I know David Shapiro was working on one of those called
356. 1:09:46raspberry because they did project strawberry the agents we haven't seen the agent from open AI yet but I suspect that we may see that
357. 1:09:55you know if not before the end of the year early in 2025 and then you've got innovators and inventors and you've got
358. 1:10:03organizations so those are the five innovators are really just combinations of these three and organizations are
359. 1:10:10combinations of innovators right so so the hardest three are the three that we've effectively solved in
360. 1:10:222024 so it's not just that these things are going to get be able to write a good musical for us it's they're going to be
361. 1:10:29able to write a good musical for us and then go pitch it to producers and get it financed and book a theater do all this
362. 1:10:39stuff right like now how how soon is it from where we are until these machines are just doing [ __ ] for us I don't know
363. 1:10:49um three years five years but some you know on two hands countable number of years years at that point do we go into sort of existential
364. 1:11:01weirdness because these things are so far beyond our capacity that we just treat them like some other species and
365. 1:11:11we're over here like ants just sort of dancing and playing guitar maybe maybe dancing and playing guitar becomes the
366. 1:11:19real valuable thing in society because the machines are off doing all the [ __ ] we used to do I don't I don't know it's

415. 1:19:32using that thing that scares me or not that's the only purpose of it they'll argue that it's plagiarism
416. 1:19:40and [ __ ] like that but it's not really that it's just that they're afraid of it and this is like this happened when
417. 1:19:45digital cameras came out this happened when calculators came out this happened when computers came out this happened
418. 1:19:50when steam engines came out this happened when the printing press came out this happened when the autom Loom came
419. 1:19:57out there's always this fear of this thing my experience and and the experience I've seen with people that
420. 1:20:06use AI critically like with critical thinking is that the AI isn't doing everything the AI is is helping you
421. 1:20:19articulate an idea and it's maybe helping you organize your thoughts and it's putting together an outline and it
422. 1:20:24might even be writing the first draft but in the end you're the one putting your name on it and putting it in the
423. 1:20:33world and if I look at the musical that I'm working on with the exception of the songs that right now all live in they
424. 1:20:39were all produced by suo or udio but at some point here really shortly we're going to bring on a music director
425. 1:20:46that's G to take all those songs and and evolve them and they're still going to be those songs but they're now not going
426. 1:20:53to be just created by AI they're going to be co-created with humans and same with the story and same with the
427. 1:21:00characters and same with all of it so the musical that I'm working on right now today I I literally couldn't
428. 1:21:11tell you where the boundary is between what was created with AI and what was created by a human it it's completely
429. 1:21:21intermingled and there's no other technology that that requires us to disclose that we use it you know no one says to
430. 1:21:34you um which word processor did you use when you wrote this did you use spell check did you use grammarly because if
431. 1:21:45you used grammarly then I know the robots are are the reason I can read this no one asks that but they're asking about AI
432. 1:21:56so if you're putting your name on it that should be enough this is the thing I wrote this is the thing I'm putting
433. 1:22:03into the world do you like it and if you did something shitty like shitty quality or if you did something shitty like just took the
434. 1:22:13output of an AI That's inaccurate and put it in the world and stuck your name on it like that lawyer did when he
