5:48 making me cry cuz I miss my father 5:50 [Music] 5:52 Channel my Tik Tok has just turned into 5:56 a torrent of tear-jerking videos of 6:02 essentially Millennials it seems like 6:04 Millennials between I don't know 25 and 6:07 [Music] 6:09 40 they're just like Tim Walls reminds 6:12 me of my dad that I lost 6:15 to the magga 6:18 movement it's very 6:21 moving it's so nice to 6:25 have like the last two weeks there's 6:27 just been like some [ __ ] joy in the 6:29 world again 6:32 [Music] 6:40 this pleas I can rest my poor 6:46 [Music] 6:48 head gather my thoughts in sweet 6:53 [Music] 6:56 silence the busiest place where the 7:00 feelings on 7:02 [Music] 7:04 dead from an over exposure to 7:09 vience and here this place I can slowly 7:13 face the only one I truly can 7:18 know these are tears from a long time 7:22 ago got these tears from a long time ago 7:28 I need to cry 30 Years 7:32 also these are tears from a long 7:39 time 7:41 [Music] 7:47 [Applause] 7:51 [Music] 7:54 go perfect ending champ perfect ending 7:58 perfect 8:01 I put this little dude up there this 8:03 little 8:04 picture cuz he's kind of joyous got that 8:07 uh what's his name uh the filmmaker the 8:11 weird one that makes films like that uh 8:15 [ __ ] brain anyway um welcome to the 8:18 AI learning 8:19 lab probably be a little short tonight 8:22 cuz I had an AI Salon tonight Wes 8:23 Anderson thank 8:28 you it was kind of a joyful 8:31 image I think that was kind of 8:35 the the the term that was coined at the 8:40 uh Wallace Waltz roll 8:43 out he said 8:45 that he likes her cuz she's brought a 8:47 sense of Joy back to this 8:51 conversation so if Obama was hope 8:54 Harris's joy that 8:57 works cuz uh 9:00 whatever it's been 12 years of [ __ ] 9:02 cynicism and 9:04 War like internal 9:06 War culture War I'm [ __ ] tired of it 9:11 and my glasses broke see my little tape 9:13 here like a [ __ ] 9:15 nerd like right before ready to come on 9:18 the arm just goes 9:19 [Laughter] 9:25 flunk we're on a short Runway tonight 9:28 double tap oh oh man how's everybody 9:31 doing good to see yall if you miss the 9:34 AI Salon 9:38 tonight the [ __ ] are you doing with your 9:40 life was a really good 9:43 [Music] 9:48 one we had um the community manager from 9:52 LTX 9:53 studio um or the the you know the 9:56 company that owns LTX Studio 10:01 came and 10:02 spoke showed off some of the new stuff 10:05 talked about some of what's coming to 10:08 LTX Studio which sounds actually pretty 10:10 exciting that tool gets better and 10:12 better I'm impressed with that I'm 10:13 impressed he was [ __ ] 10:16 impressive he's a community manager so 10:18 I'm kind of expecting a community 10:20 manager to be like yeah I got you know I 10:24 did social media for an ad Agency for a 10:26 year and now I'm doing this this guy had 10:28 a master's in 10:30 Masters in or no he's going for a 10:33 masters in like product design or 10:36 human Design Systems thinking some [ __ ] 10:39 like that I don't know anyway he was 10:40 really impressive 10:43 nvo and he called in from 10:47 [Music] 10:49 Israel 10:51 and for anyone who was at the AI 10:55 Salon I asked at the end I said Hey 10:57 listen if anyone is at the in this 11:00 meeting tonight and they don't have 11:02 access to LTX Studio could you hook us 11:05 up and he didn't hesitate and he's like 11:08 yeah send me an email with all the names 11:10 of people who want a license and I'll 11:12 send you back codes to get 11:15 in so you should have been there should 11:18 have [ __ ] been there Brandon was 11:26 [Music] 11:28 there so that was 11:30 cool and then 11:34 um we had we had a gentleman named Jason 11:39 M Allen you may or may not 11:42 know but you kind of know him so let me 11:45 go see you'll find something 11:49 here I'm like totally paranoid my 11:51 glasses are just going to fall off my 11:53 face cuz they're probably going to fall 11:55 off my face I didn't do a very good tape 11:57 job I just did it right before I came on 12:01 okay that a [ __ ] train 12:04 wreck 12:06 Jason 12:10 M 12:23 Allan so you remember oh [ __ ] I don't 12:27 have a New York Times subscription godam 12:29 damn 12:30 it 12:33 this this article's been out for [ __ ] 12:36 years I shouldn't have to it shouldn't 12:37 be behind a payroll 12:41 wall I'm 12:47 exhausted let's go to 12:49 images more than one way to skin this 12:51 cat okay remember this remember this 12:58 image oh no I can't see 13:03 it it's unbelievable it is 13:06 unbelievable can I see that 13:14 one okay that 13:18 image remember that 13:20 image if you don't remember that 13:25 image this 13:28 was the pieces is 13:34 called it's that let's see teatra DOA 13:40 spatial the space the the Space Opera 13:44 the theatrical space Space Opera theater 13:47 or something like 13:48 that 13:51 so he he made this piece of art he 13:55 entered it 13:57 into um an art contest at the Colorado 14:00 State 14:01 Fair and it 14:05 won and then they found out it 14:11 was oh I'll okay forever hooked I'll 14:14 talk about that and it was um it was AI 14:17 art and the entire art community lost 14:20 their [ __ ] and started attacking him and 14:23 you know did that for a year year and a 14:25 half they're still kind of doing it he 14:26 got death 14:28 threats people were encouraging him to 14:31 take care of himself and not be on the 14:35 [Music] 14:36 planet so he went from this really 14:38 joyous moment of hey I won this 14:43 contest to 14:45 [Music] 14:47 uh becoming the poster child for is AI 14:53 art that's a that's a bit of a that's a 14:56 bit of a cross to bear that's a really 14:58 bad version of that that picture by the 15:00 way what they take that with a 15:04 [ __ ] disposable film 15:08 camera let's 15:15 [Music] 15:21 see there it is with its Blue 15:24 Ribbon oh my God advertising on websites 15:28 it could we be done with the entire 15:30 [ __ ] advertising 15:33 industry good 15:36 [Laughter] 15:40 Lord 15:42 anyway he spoke tonight and 15:47 was actually quite moving it was funny 15:50 when I talked to him I talked to him 15:52 this 15:53 afternoon about you know coming 15:56 on and it it was like the first thing he 15:59 said to me was he was like he was like 16:02 if I come off a little defensive that's 16:04 cuz I'm a little 16:06 defensive cuz he's been being attacked 16:09 for like two years for making this 16:10 actually really beautiful piece of 16:12 art and it wasn't just this piece of art 16:15 it was many pieces of Art and it was 680 16:18 prompts and it was a lot of work and a 16:20 lot of curation and a lot of 16:22 modification and three 16:27 different no I don't want my news 16:29 summarized each day could you stop 16:31 interrupting my talk you [ __ ] sales 16:35 funnel 16:37 morons well you know if they sit on a 16:39 page for 38 seconds we found 16:42 statistically that if they're on the 16:44 page for 38 seconds they've stopped 16:46 paying attention but they're still in 16:47 front of their computers so what we're 16:49 going to go ahead and do is we're going 16:51 to just pop up what we call an 16:53 interstial that would be an interruptive 16:55 experience that the end user would for 16:58 some reason think that they are having 17:00 some sort of stroke out event where they 17:02 see a flash of light and look up to say 17:05 am I going to my maker and what they 17:07 realize is oh we could sell them 17:10 something at that moment and have them 17:12 subscribe so so that wouldn't happen 17:14 again so that's our recommendation is 17:16 the 38 second 17:18 interstitial yes we we recommend 17:22 completely uding a said article the 17:25 content underneath it is a is you know 17:29 not as relevant at that 38 second mark 17:32 because they have of course stopped 17:33 paying 17:37 attention that guy needs to be 17:41 fired okay I'm sorry what was I saying 17:44 you know what you know what 17:48 people this is not 17:50 add this is just being observant in the 17:53 world and the world is [ __ ] annoying 18:06 ah sorry where was I uh Jason 18:10 Allen 18:12 um and 18:14 so Jason because this work got all sorts 18:17 of you know Kudos and death threats and 18:20 all that sort of 18:21 stuff this is his work and he wanted to 18:24 protect it and so he tried to protect it 18:26 with the 18:27 copyright office the copyright office 18:30 said um uh Dear Mr Allen uh we cordially 18:34 invite you to go on ahead and go [ __ ] 18:36 yourself if that's if that's good with 18:38 you we're going to go on ahead and say 18:40 no you can't copyright that you can't 18:43 copyright art that that the robot 18:47 made and then he appealed it and they 18:50 said well after further considerations 18:52 uh we would cordially invite you to once 18:55 again go on ahead and go [ __ ] 18:57 yourself and then there was the second 19:00 and last appeal at the copyright office 19:04 and they said uh as we stated before Mr 19:06 Allen uh we think you're a fine person 19:08 and all we just don't think you're a 19:09 fine artist so we're going to cordially 19:11 invite you to go on ahead for the third 19:13 time and the final time go [ __ ] 19:17 yourself and 19:20 so he is now engaged a lawyer and he's 19:23 going to appeals court and he was you 19:26 know telling us his whole story and it 19:28 was amazing and so one of the things 19:30 that we're going to do at the AI Salon 19:33 is is we're going to take a 19:35 position on this particular issue cuz it 19:38 is it really is quite 19:41 important and and you know when you 19:43 heard this guy and the amount of work 19:45 that he put into this work 19:48 and and to be kind of summarily just 19:53 [ __ ] [ __ ] slapped by the art 19:55 community like Beyond [ __ ] SLA just 19:58 sort of cast at from the art 20:02 community you know and his point is this 20:05 [ __ ] isn't going away this is not 20:08 fundamentally different than a digital 20:09 camera right what is the human input on 20:12 a digital camera 20:14 this right on a traditional camera I 20:18 guess on a traditional camera you have 20:19 to you have to unwind the uh the first 3 20:22 Ines of film and close the camera back 20:25 and then do 20:27 this but the digital camera it's been 20:29 reduced to just 20:31 this and so somehow the copyright office 20:35 has sort of 20:36 [Music] 20:38 missed 20:40 the basic understanding of basic 20:43 technology that's already covered by 20:45 [ __ ] copyright 20:47 law very interested in learning more 20:50 yeah lunar stick I'll get you the uh I 20:51 should have the video now soon as this 20:53 is over I'll get the video and I'll send 20:55 it to you um his talk was really 20:57 interesting and I mean he's he's super 21:00 passionate about the case he's got he's 21:03 educated about the cases that that have 21:05 come before on copyright and how um he 21:09 didn't feel like strategically they did 21:11 the right thing and he's he feel he's 21:14 really confident he's got a good 21:15 strategy here and and now it goes to the 21:17 courts this is going above the copyright 21:19 office so this could go you know court 21:22 number one the appeals court and then 21:23 the Supreme Court so this could if it 21:26 doesn't go well could end up running all 21:29 the way to the Supreme Court which is 21:30 fascinating please tell me about flux I 21:33 saw Vicky's comparison wow just trying 21:35 to sign up hey Mary Mary uh flux is 21:40 so anywhere where you can find that you 21:43 have access that is using the flux model 21:46 go ahead and find it I don't the the one 21:48 that I have access to is called ever 21:51 art. and I think I signed up to it some 21:54 time ago cuz now they don't they don't 21:56 have a free version of it I I for some 21:59 reason had 500 credits in it um or 500 22:03 image Generations so um I don't know 22:06 where to get flux you can also if you 22:08 want to geek out and install it as open 22:11 source you can use a thing called 22:14 Pinocchio there's some tutorials out 22:17 there but I haven't done that yet either 22:21 cuz I'm a Los baby why don't you sue 22:26 me millions of duct tape a Millions for 22:29 a duct tape banana on a wall and this is 22:32 not art yeah 22:35 exactly and you know I mean you know 22:37 what he was talking about 22:39 was he had a whole concept for this 22:42 right there was a whole this is like 22:43 there's there's this long narrative of 22:46 what led him he didn't just go to Mid 22:48 journey and go make me a piece of 22:50 Renaissance looking art with a hole in 22:53 it he did 684 prompts and you know 22:58 that's four images for each prompt in 23:00 mid Journey right so whatever that is 23:04 2500 images to end up with the two or 23:08 three that he submitted to the to the 23:10 competition 23:11 right or maybe he just submitted one I 23:14 don't [ __ ] 23:15 know 23:20 um so 23:23 anyway so that that was the second 23:26 speaker we had tonight it was just it 23:27 was a really good night 23:32 and if you're wondering well what the 23:33 hell are you talking about there 23:35 boy that's not 23:37 it that's 23:39 it if you go to the salon. that's our 23:42 website if you scroll down there's a 23:44 little button that says our community 23:46 and the one to the left of it says come 23:47 to our meetings tonight was the meeting 23:50 so on the first Tuesday of the month we 23:52 have what's called AI Salon 23:55 presents and that was tonight and that's 23:57 where we have speaker we usually just 23:58 have one we had two 24:00 tonight I don't know if kath is on the 24:02 call but whoever found Jason he was a he 24:05 was a he was a great great speaker 24:08 actually both of them were neevo nvo was 24:10 really really impressive too um the 24:14 third Tuesday of the month is called the 24:16 AI Salon meet and greet and that's where 24:20 you can come meet like the people that 24:22 hang out here and the people that are 24:24 part of the AI salon and get to know 24:26 them and talk about what you're up to in 24:28 the world and what you need what you 24:30 need help on things like 24:31 [Music] 24:34 that this Salon was so important it 24:37 really was I felt the same way Cosmic 24:39 lover I felt like like like as it was 24:42 happening I'm like holy [ __ ] like this 24:45 is this is important and that story's 24:49 kind of been forgotten and he's got a 24:51 really good strategy to maybe like snap 24:54 the [ __ ] copyright office out of 24:56 their 24:57 [ __ ] you know 25:01 it's new technology it can't be art if 25:04 it's new technology you know it took 27 25:07 years to acknowledge uh photographs as 25:14 copyrightable 27 years all you do is 25:18 push a 25:19 button and here's the 25:22 exact the 25:24 exact same 25:26 [ __ ] thing a slightly different 25:28 technology it doesn't have a physical 25:32 lens but you write a prompt you push a 25:35 button it generates 25:40 [Music] 25:42 something I mean part of his argument is 25:45 mid Journey didn't prompt 25:48 itself mid Journey didn't come up with 25:50 that mid Journey didn't have the concept 25:53 of a a theatrical Space Opera 26:03 Jason Allen 26:05 did that by definition is human 26:10 contribution so 26:12 anyway that was cool that was really 26:15 cool well I hijacked another networking 26:18 event tonight pulled out those parlor 26:20 tricks nice Source Camp just out there 26:23 killing it art doesn't generate art wait 26:25 what does that say art doesn't generate 26:27 art yeah yeah 26:34 [Music] 26:36 exactly before I left I heard five 26:39 separate conversations about Ai and chat 26:40 GPT Mission [ __ ] accomplished Source 26:44 Camp is a really good example of someone 26:46 generously 26:47 leading she's at a meeting someone says 26:50 something she's like hey you guys played 26:52 with AI at all oh no we're really afraid 26:54 of AI oh you shouldn't be here check 26:56 this out oh [ __ ] I can do that oh my god 26:59 really oh I didn't even know huh what 27:03 you know you know what Bob at the office 27:06 he was talking about AI the other day 27:08 and he was like it's really impressive 27:10 and I was like yeah well whatever yeah I 27:12 mean you know so so Chili's on a 27:14 Thursday the the the poppers special at 27:17 Chili's is is pretty impressive but I 27:19 wouldn't I wouldn't go there every 27:20 Thursday you know what I mean so uh I'm 27:22 not going to try AI just yet so but that 27:26 wow it I didn't real Bob must to be on 27:29 to something there fantastic well I I'll 27:31 have to check that 27:33 out and Source Camp just talks to them 27:36 like they're 27:40 [Applause] 27:43 [Music] 27:52 people ah wait where was that uh 27:56 Danielle 27:59 I got my mother-in-law to finally try 28:01 chat GPT I don't think she's ever going 28:03 to use Google again that here's the 28:05 thing about [ __ ] AI if all if if 28:08 someone actually uses it if they 28:10 actually try 28:13 it they're they're like oh 28:16 [ __ ] it's it's that 28:22 good is that tape on your glasses or you 28:25 just happy to see me windows boom all right so this is going 32:42 to so this glyph was made by Matt wolf 32:47 and if you don't know what a glyph is I 32:49 didn't either 32:51 yesterday it is it's kind of like a 32:53 hugging face spaces where some geek has 32:56 done the work of putting an open source 32:58 model together for you so if you go to 33:02 the AI Salon Community go to the 33:04 Irregulars Channel scroll down until you 33:07 see this 33:08 graphic and then in the comments click 33:11 on George Washington's 33:13 nose and then that will take you to this 33:17 glyphy 33:19 mington that's pretty [ __ ] 33:22 solid definitely a Resto mod it didn't 33:25 make the mistake like they they usually 33:27 make with these things where the 33:29 abandoned factory makes the car look all 33:31 [ __ ] 33:32 up that's not bad sunlight is definitely 33:35 streaming Through the 33:37 Windows it's got an AMC Javelin front 33:41 end 33:43 a challenger 33:45 asend I don't know what this 33:48 is that's that's at least three 33:50 different muscle cars from the 70s 33:54 [Laughter] 33:59 oh man 34:02 [Music] 34:19 um do I need to unmute anyone it looks 34:22 like someone might be muted do I need to 34:23 unmute someone or can you guys handle it 34:28 refresh and make another you can make 34:31 300 a day wow cool does it save them 34:34 though I guess you probably have to 34:35 download them don't 34:38 you or do I have an account here is this 34:41 my account that's my 34:45 account 34:50 feed yeah that's not my feed that's just 34:52 a feed 34:59 oh look there's an Irregulars I didn't 35:01 hey I Salon meeting today 35:18 nice some puppies George 35:22 Washington the guy shoving ice cream up 35:24 his 35:26 nose now that's the a I we've come to 35:29 know and love just slightly [ __ ] 35:32 weird slightly [ __ ] weird images hey 35:36 this is a tasty ice cream let me give it 35:38 a sniff oh 35:40 yeah can you smell the 35:46 raspberry what do you mean it's Skittles 35:48 flavored it's scratch and sniff ice 35:50 cream are you 35:52 kidding those are Matt Wolf's oh that's 35:54 cool well thank you Matt wolf for 35:56 setting up this glyph for us 35:59 us awesome awesome awesome all right so 36:02 here's what you should 36:04 do go oh no one is muted okay cool tell 36:07 me it's not webp actually you know what 36:09 that's a great that's a great thing can 36:12 I where's my 36:13 image 36:15 download let's see what this thing 36:17 actually is 36:19 jpeg 36:22 jpeg you know what's nice about jpeg it 36:24 [ __ ] 36:26 works yeah but technically it's not as 36:29 efficient it's a there's there because 36:31 of the compression algorithm you see 36:33 understand there there well there are 36:34 two things that happen depending on the 36:35 scale of the compression uh you have 36:37 what are called compression artifacts 36:38 the artifacts you've probably seen them 36:40 on C certain images especially in 36:42 gradations you you'll see uh blocks some 36:45 some call them pixel clusters there are 36:47 number of things that they call them we 36:49 we just call them artifacts we we 36:50 generally recognize what an artifact is 36:53 within the J jpeg format what what we 36:57 propose however uh the the PNG format is 37:00 perfectly acceptable it's it's just it's 37:01 not as efficient so what what we propose 37:04 is a new format called Web P web web p 37:07 is a it's a it's a format very similar 37:10 to jpeg without the artifacts very 37:12 similar to the PNG with the with more of 37:16 a what what we call an efficiency uh 37:19 ratio what what what I can say is this 37:22 we're we're going to roll out the webp 37:24 format to 222% of software on the 37:28 internet over the next 5 37:30 years well what about the other 78% of 37:33 software well well we're hoping over the 37:36 the next 13 decades that that the 37:39 adoption of the the the new webp format 37:42 uh will be U Universal uh of course you 37:46 know things take time this is a protocol 37:48 level change so so you're saying 78% of 37:52 websites won't work with the stupid 37:54 [ __ ] format well technically it it it 37:56 will work fine if they if they up the 37:58 update their drivers and and and and 38:00 change the the software and the 38:01 ingestion 38:08 protocols I just 38:11 Engineers okay here's what you need you 38:14 need a Gen X [ __ ] on your 38:18 team okay okay you need someone like me 38:23 who's fed up with life who's just 38:25 [ __ ] had it 38:28 and and smart enough to understand what 38:30 the [ __ ] you're talking about and then 38:33 when you say the words out of your food 38:36 hole that gen xer will go 38:40 uh have you thought that through there 38:45 Skippy referring to me as Skippy as you 38:48 I would consider that somewhat somewhat 38:50 triggering I mean it's it's not it's not 38:51 it's not disparaging of course but but 38:53 there there was some some tone some 38:55 attitude in the 39:00 you you need that you need a gen xer 39:02 call and you Skippy 39:06 questioning what you're 39:10 inventing because if there is no 39:13 noticeable difference to the end user 39:15 who [ __ ] cares well technically the 39:19 the uh the server companies care because 39:20 the cost of storage is 39:24 a tense Tuesday 39:29 [Music] 39:30 triggering 39:31 [Music] 39:43 [Music] 39:52 Tuesday Kyle make something with words I 39:56 don't know what you mean Danielle oh 39:58 make something with words cuz it's flux 40:00 yes good idea looking for a man in 40:04 finance trust fund 65 blue eyes or is it 40:09 65 trust fund blue eyes no trust fund 65 40:13 blue eyes um where is that thing I went 40:19 to is this it no 40:22 is this it yes sort of maybe no 40:31 oh my God I'm such a tool I have too 40:34 many tabs open 40:37 people all right make something with 40:40 words okay let's 40:47 see a magazine quality photograph 40:54 [Music] 40:58 of a kitchen 41:00 island with a black 41:03 granite countertop 41:06 period sitting on the 41:09 countertop is an old piece of 41:13 parchment and on the piece of parchment 41:16 it 41:20 says Declaration of AI optimism 41:24 [Music] 41:30 below the handwritten 41:33 headline are 41:35 some unreadable paragraphs and at the 41:38 bottom of the page there are three 41:43 signatures play 41:45 first mindfully 41:49 create and generously lead 42:04 create got to put these in quote marks 42:10 people if you don't put them in quote 42:12 marks it won't know where the words 42:16 are play 42:18 first quote mindfully 42:20 create 42:25 quotes quotes 42:31 quote quote let's see parchment says AI 42:37 optimism wait oh declaration Declaration 42:40 of AI optimism 43:04 on a table 43:06 card near the 43:10 parchment are the 43:14 words AI 43:19 salon on 43:25 a on a 43:32 table 43:36 tent all right there we go let's make 43:39 that that's good enough all right that 43:41 might be too much laughing out loud I it 43:43 might be that's listen this is this is 43:45 why you play just play just try to okay 43:47 here's a lesson if you're new to this AI 43:49 [ __ ] and you're like he seems to be 43:52 making this up as he's going along yeah 43:54 I'm making it up as I go along 43:57 I one of the joys of add is you can't 44:01 remember [ __ ] you did before um but also 44:04 because of that look if it sort of did 44:07 it Declaration of AI optimism that's 44:10 actually pretty good 44:13 damn does it say it doesn't say play 44:16 mindfully 44:17 create play first we just don't have 44:21 generously lead maybe it's somewhere 44:22 down here Declaration of and then it 44:26 says a oh wait Declaration of AI maybe 44:29 optimism is right there that's pretty 44:31 [ __ ] 44:32 good it's the AI teil 44:37 Salon you know teil Tail's awesome have 44:41 you met 44:42 tail ttail is the 44:46 best yeah this model is pretty 44:52 impressive I mean I just 44:59 do do you all realize that we now live 45:02 in a world where you can just ask for 45:05 [ __ ] and it makes 45:07 it you can just ask for it to make a 45:10 computer program and it makes a computer 45:14 program I saw the coolest one today I 45:17 think I saved 45:20 it but we could try to go go recreate it 45:23 if you want check this out so this is my 45:26 little mic my 45:30 mind 45:32 thingy which one was 45:39 it cling cling cling cling oh I got to 45:43 re reload this I 45:45 think cling cling cling 45:58 what the [ __ ] am I 46:03 singing oh my God now I'm singing War 46:06 war 46:18 songs I can't find it damn it okay uh 46:21 let's 46:23 see was it Matt wolf or was it Ethan 46:26 mullik I think it was Ethan mullik let's 46:28 go to Twitter I've got too many tabs 46:30 open people I know you've told me this 46:32 before but that's not that's not 46:34 important right 46:36 now e t h 46:44 an 46:55 M it wasn't him dang it 46:59 all right so it was 47:02 clae color 47:12 [Music] 47:17 grid 47:19 [ __ ] 47:21 um CLA what's 47:24 Claud um what you call it 47:28 Claud 47:33 artifacts mid 47:37 Journey it'll make sense when I find it 47:40 if I find 47:42 it shut 47:44 [Music] 47:49 up I can't find the post I was looking 47:53 for that makes me a little all cranky 47:57 [Laughter] 47:59 oh that was good the uh open letter to 48:01 advertisers from Elon 48:03 Musk his quote we tried peace for two 48:06 years now it's War he's pissed that 48:08 advertisers aren't advertising on his 48:11 platform that he made hostile to 48:14 advertisers uh Elon I'm pretty sure they 48:17 call that the uh what was it called the 48:19 free 48:20 market douche 48:25 nozzle it's one of my one of my uh rules 48:28 in life don't be a douche life it's much 48:33 easier the tech capabilities or flux are 48:36 absolutely unmatched burn it all down 48:38 nice in 48:40 neon I'll see if I can find 48:43 this thing let me just look for 48:46 Claude 48:49 claw. A 49:02 does he always sing like this it's a 49:04 little Annoying and he's scrolling so 49:07 fast I'm getting seasick I don't like 49:10 this who told me to come to this channel 49:13 I would you tell me to come here I 49:15 haven't learned a thing what are his 49:17 qualifications I don't think he has any 49:20 he 49:21 seems well he seems pleasant but he was 49:23 a little moist and why would he have 49:25 tape on his glasses I don't know 49:27 understand this channel maybe I'm just 49:29 too 49:34 old all right 49:38 let's let's go let me try to go recreate 49:42 what I what I saw uh 49:48 okay I don't even quite know how to ask 49:50 for it but that's okay the point I was 49:53 trying to make earlier we have this new 49:54 thing called Claude well it's been 49:56 around for a while but they made it 49:58 better and so we're going to make a 50:01 new a new thing and we're going to 50:05 say 50:06 generate an 50:09 application that 50:14 creates 50:16 a 50:18 monochromatic color palette of different 50:22 shades from fully saturated 50:27 to nearly 50:32 white period there should be 10 50:36 swatches in the pallet that is created 50:39 as a single 50:41 image 50:43 period and there should be a 50:46 large set of dice at the top 50:49 center of the window that is the button 50:53 to create a new color palette 51:01 so if you didn't know about Claude and 51:05 this thing called 51:07 artifacts so I just asked it to make me 51:09 a color palette generator I don't know 51:11 if this will work this this was sort of 51:13 the thing that I saw it did 51:15 look [ __ ] crazy and then you just hit 51:18 the 51:19 dice it's not working oh yeah it is so 51:23 it's giv us the hex 51:26 codes the percentage 51:29 of something transparency I guess so 51:33 that's probably zero is you know fully 51:38 saturated okay now watch this 51:43 copy wait how do I get this image is 51:45 this an image oh it's not an 51:48 image 51:52 um um 51:58 rather than draw 52:04 it 52:06 drawing 52:09 the swatches of the color 52:13 palette using 52:17 HTML 52:22 generate and display a PNG image 52:33 instead this this might [ __ ] it up that 52:35 we'll see what's nice is I can go back 52:38 there's different versions so this is 52:40 version two so if I [ __ ] it up we'll 52:42 go back okay I could actually use this 52:44 please post it somewhere okay I'll do 52:46 that now is this now an image did it 52:49 make this an image it did okay so now 52:52 okay it still works 52:54 okay okay anyone 52:57 anyone if you're new to 53:01 AI did you see what I just 53:04 did I used what is the equivalent of 53:08 third 53:09 grade Mastery of the English 53:14 language to ask for what 53:18 is second grade 53:21 level product 53:25 description and and then I said oh and 53:28 stick a dice button at the top and it 53:30 did and I and I said have it generate a 53:33 pallet now watch what you can do with 53:35 this this is [ __ ] 53:37 Bonkers now is it I wonder if 53:42 it's oh it looks like it pre-generated 53:45 those okay let's so we're going to go 53:46 fix 53:47 that hang on get rid of 53:53 that okay we're off to a good start 53:57 however it looks like you 54:02 pre-generated a set of colors that are 54:06 fixed and I want it to 54:10 be truly 54:14 random whenever the user clicks the dice 54:17 button 54:19 period so 54:22 generate the Swatch 54:25 image from the unique 54:28 value you 54:30 pick from the RGB color 54:34 space in real 54:38 time let's see what it 54:41 says I apologize for the confusion 54:44 you're absolutely 54:46 right all right so now it's doing math 54:48 instead 54:51 of pre doing 54:53 it all right there's a thing I actually 54:56 like this best 54:58 doom doom doom okay now we're getting 55:00 all sorts of different colors good nice 55:04 okay oh [ __ ] I should be able to go back 55:07 too I should be able to save it well 55:10 anyway let me show you what we can do 55:11 here so I'll go find a color palette 55:14 that we 55:23 like I'm picky what can I say 55:28 ah that was good okay I'll pick this one 55:29 all 55:30 right so I'm going to rightclick this 55:33 I'm going to copy the 55:34 image now I'm going to go to Mid 55:37 Journey check this [ __ ] 55:40 out 55:43 um can I paste 55:46 this yeah so I pasted that gradient 55:51 there and then I'm going to select this 55:53 middle thing which is Style 55:57 and then I'm going to say um 56:01 1970s muscle car in an abandoned 56:07 Factory and so what this bad boy is 56:10 going to do 56:23 now is not work 56:27 damn it it was it was going so good 56:32 people let's see there it 56:35 is do this oh I got to do the puzzle 56:38 piece yeah here we go did I do it I'm 56:41 such a 56:42 master okay I'm going do that and I'll 56:46 do uh let's see 56:52 um abstract landscape 56:57 I'm going to go Dash 57:02 Dash style weight 57:07 1,000 57:13 okay in theory what that should do is 57:16 use that color palette for abstract 57:20 landscape it's not doing it I don't know 57:22 what I'm doing wrong 57:31 H all right well whatever but the other 57:35 thing was 57:38 cool shut up okay so wait we're gonna 57:41 we're going to fix this one One More 57:45 Level okay this is looking great the 57:48 functionality is working as expected 57:50 period now I'd like to 57:54 add some interface it items 57:59 below the 58:01 Swatch 58:03 period there's a left Arrow to allow you 58:07 to go to the previous Swatch and a right 58:11 arrow to allow you to go to the next 58:14 Swatch and in between them is a save 58:20 button that when clicked will prompt you 58:23 to name the pallet 58:28 and it will save it to a library of user 58:32 saved pallets 58:37 period the button to access the saved 58:40 pallets should be at the top of the app 58:43 next to the dice 58:49 button all right fantastic Bob tell him 58:53 what he's 58:54 one uh 58:56 he hasn't really want anything we don't 58:58 have any budget and uh this isn't a game 59:02 show 59:06 [Music] 59:13 right left Arrow we shall see 59:15 application client side error dang 59:20 it what happened I've updated it State 59:24 Management 59:29 I got a client side exception error can 59:31 you please fix 59:39 this hey mods which tool is this 59:43 claw. and the the thing that I that over 59:46 here on the right that's writing all the 59:47 code and just making an app that I can 59:50 use is called artifacts and it's a it's 59:54 it's an experimental feature you have to 59:55 turn on in your preferences but you can 59:58 only turn it on you only have access to 1:00:00 this 1:00:01 if um if you if it's a you've got a paid 1:00:16 account it says there 1:00:19 are unsupported 1:00:21 libraries called Next SL dynamic 1:00:31 you're right I made an incorrect 1:00:33 assumption about the environment let's 1:00:35 modify the component to work without 1:00:37 nextjs specific features we'll use a 1:00:40 different approach to handle clientside 1:00:42 rendering and dynamic Imports thanks Bob 1:00:45 tell them what they've 1:00:47 won I I would this they they haven't 1:00:50 they I keep saying this they they 1:00:52 haven't won any there there are no 1:00:54 prizes 1:00:57 well I guess my presence is enough then 1:00:58 it's prize enough all right we're not 1:01:00 we're done we're done I'm going to go 1:01:02 publish the one that 1:01:05 worked the nice thing about generative 1:01:07 AI is it can make you an app like this 1:01:10 the bad thing about it is when you try 1:01:11 to actually make something 1:01:13 real so I'm going to publish this 1:01:16 publish and copy 1:01:20 link copy link and then I'm going to go 1:01:23 to the 1:01:24 a oh you know what else I'm going to do 1:01:26 I'm going to go back here wait no I'm 1:01:27 not wait wait wait for 1:01:32 it so I am going 1:01:34 to make a 1:01:51 screenshot Okay so we've made 1:01:54 that now we're going to go to the I fell 1:01:58 that's 1:01:59 French and we're going to put in there's 1:02:02 the URL of our our little app but we're 1:02:06 going to get rid of that preview window 1:02:09 we're going to add our own 1:02:20 preview look at that and then I'm going 1:02:22 to I'm going to do some marketing here 1:02:31 um 1:02:33 the color palet 1:02:37 arama 1:02:42 application programmed expertly by 1:02:45 Master engineer comma Kyle Shannon comma 1:02:50 who definitely got his masters from MIT 1:02:55 and Stamford 1:02:57 simultaneously in software 1:03:01 engineering and 1:03:03 development along 1:03:05 with user experience and user interface 1:03:11 phds from 1:03:13 Ry 1:03:16 period he's definitely not making this 1:03:19 up he definitely knows how to 1:03:23 program period I mean look how good this 1:03:26 is 1:03:38 period now I got some qualifications 1:03:43 [ __ ] what are your qualifications go 1:03:45 look at my application I 1:03:47 wrote you ever made a pallet 1:03:54 generator color palet Oram 1:03:57 oh 1:03:58 yeah what's this say I don't have a paid 1:04:02 account 1:04:03 oh okay Vicky just said you don't need a 1:04:06 paid account to use artifacts so let's 1:04:09 go show you how to turn it on that's 1:04:11 really cool I I was not recommending it 1:04:13 as much so the wait the color palette oh 1:04:16 I spelled this wrong let me let me hang 1:04:19 on 1:04:20 people when you do something like the 1:04:23 color palet orama color 1:04:32 pallet 1:04:33 Dash o 1:04:36 dash 1:04:39 Rama oops 1:04:50 Rama let me just make sure that this 1:04:52 English sounds good because it's 1:04:54 important that people understand how 1:04:56 qualified I am the color palet orama 1:04:59 application programmed expertly by 1:05:01 Master engineer Kyle Shannon who 1:05:03 definitely got his masters from MIT and 1:05:06 Stamford simultaneously in software 1:05:08 engineering and development along with 1:05:10 user experience and user interface phds 1:05:13 from Riz not just Riz 1:05:17 rzd rzd stands for people anybody come 1:05:23 on Rhode Island School of Design come 1:05:26 come on people 1:05:29 rzd he's definitely not making this up 1:05:32 he definitely knows how to program I 1:05:33 mean look how good this is that's 1:05:36 perfect that's [ __ ] perfect all 1:05:39 right that's how you get a PhD in user 1:05:44 experience that's how you get a masters 1:05:47 from MIT and a 1:05:50 masters from Stanford 1:05:53 simultaneously in software engineering 1:05:56 in you think that shit's easy yeah you 1:05:59 just go to Claude and say make me 1:06:03 [ __ ] what website is this this website 1:06:07 is uh the mighty networks of the this is 1:06:10 the AI Salon community so if you go to 1:06:12 the salon. Lord digital Gods thank you 1:06:16 sir 1:06:18 um this is uh a community of AI 1:06:22 optimists and and neru Wells that like 1:06:25 to play with AI 1:06:27 as I just 1:06:28 did 1:06:30 unexp tooling 1:06:34 around we are teaching AI sarcasm we're 1:06:38 testing its ability to detect 1:06:44 it um and then this site where we 1:06:48 actually generated a functional a fully 1:06:52 functional color palet generator it's 1:06:55 monochromatic 1:07:00 it doesn't have to be oh you know what 1:07:02 we could do let's try this this will be 1:07:03 easier than the other logic I was trying 1:07:05 to 1:07:05 add let's create a toggle 1:07:10 switch between 1:07:12 monochromatic and random colors 1:07:32 color 1:07:37 theory 1:07:39 sets like complimentary Etc 1:07:46 period and rather than tall swatches 1:07:49 that go from left to 1:07:52 right let's make it a 4x4 grid 1:08:03 period at the 1:08:06 bottom of each 1:08:08 color should be the hex 1:08:12 code for that 1:08:18 color all right let's see if we can get 1:08:20 this to 1:08:23 work oh thank you Vicki okay I'll do 1:08:25 that 1:08:26 okay so let's let's let this do this and 1:08:28 then I'll teach you how to turn on 1:08:31 artifacts that's a good catch Vicki that 1:08:34 that was not a paid 1:08:44 feature so you could argue that the 1:08:47 little application that we make here is 1:08:48 relatively simple and you'd be right it 1:08:51 didn't work whatever all right so we'll 1:08:53 just go back to the one that worked 1:08:57 there's the one that worked um you could 1:08:59 argue that this is simple it's quite 1:09:00 simple but if I go look at the 1:09:03 code like you know you need to know how 1:09:06 to code to do something like 1:09:09 this 1:09:12 and now you 1:09:17 don't what what this what this points to 1:09:20 for 1:09:22 me is it's a a term that I used 1:09:26 I don't know nine months 1:09:28 ago is kind of rearing it rearing its 1:09:31 head back up for me which is the idea of 1:09:34 casual Excellence or casual programming 1:09:37 you know how there's casual gaming 1:09:39 remember the whole casual gaming 1:09:41 movement in the early 2000s where when 1:09:43 when the iPhone came out or the mid two 1:09:46 the 2010s um when the iPhone came out 1:09:49 all these silly games like Angry Birds 1:09:51 and things like created a whole new 1:09:53 category of casual gaming 1:09:56 um I think I think we're moving into an 1:09:58 area of casual software development 1:10:02 where people can just make 1:10:04 really stupidly small stupidly random 1:10:08 pieces of software by just asking for 1:10:10 them and the systems are going to create 1:10:12 that this is going to get more and more 1:10:15 and more sophisticated the fact that 1:10:17 we've got this tool this functional 1:10:20 before we've hit you know open ai's next 1:10:23 big GPT 5 AGI [ __ ] moment whenever 1:10:26 that's going to come 2025 maybe 1:10:29 now this is here right 1:10:32 now earthquake in California oh crap 1:10:36 that's not 1:10:41 good is it a big one 1:10:45 Danielle hope you're 1:10:48 okay um 1:10:53 oh oh I didn't Vicki I didn't do the I 1:10:57 didn't do the thing welcome to Chad add 1:11:00 okay if you want to turn on artifacts if 1:11:03 you want to we just had a big earthquake 1:11:05 still going oh 1:11:06 crap all right well please keep checking 1:11:08 in Danielle hopefully your power doesn't 1:11:10 go 1:11:11 out 1:11:14 um you go to your 1:11:19 name and then in the name there's this 1:11:22 thing that says feature preview you 1:11:25 click on that and that'll take you to 1:11:27 this page that's got one thing you can 1:11:29 turn on and it's artifacts and you turn 1:11:31 it 1:11:32 on why they don't that why they don't 1:11:35 default that to on is beyond me but I 1:11:38 guess it's a safety thing just because 1:11:41 the this is in preview it preview mode 1:11:44 it's preview software so they want you 1:11:47 to you know opt into using a potentially 1:11:50 shitty piece of software but when you 1:11:52 turn that on that's all you have to do 1:11:54 you don't have to think about it if you 1:11:56 would ask it to do something complicated 1:11:58 like make you a dashboard an interactive 1:12:01 dashboard from a CSV file or have it 1:12:04 make you a color palet generator it it 1:12:06 just spins up this separate window off 1:12:08 to the side okay does cloud artifacts 1:12:11 only code in python or does it do any 1:12:13 program it does more than just python so 1:12:17 uh let's say 1:12:24 um what are the options for different 1:12:26 programming languages I could create 1:12:28 this app in and still run it in the 1:12:31 browser 1:12:41 window JavaScript 1:12:43 typescript Dart 1:12:49 Elm scala.js 1:12:53 I don't know any of these [ __ ] things 1:12:57 Dart with flutter for the web um let's 1:13:01 try rewriting it using 1:13:08 Dart 1:13:11 certainly all right Dart color palette 1:13:15 generator I don't know if that's 1:13:18 Dart cuz I did not get a master's from 1:13:22 mm or 1:13:24 Stanford I got a I got a fine arts 1:13:26 degree from [ __ ] Penn State in 1:13:32 acting oh I guess it can't run it here 1:13:35 yeah it can write the code but you got 1:13:36 to go run it somewhere 1:13:38 else create a new okay to run this Dart 1:13:42 code set up a new flutter development 1:13:44 environment create a new flutter project 1:13:46 replace the contents of your main do 1:13:49 Dart file with code run the app using 1:13:52 flutters web compiler we 1:13:58 pen state or state pen 1:14:00 exactly oh 1:14:04 man that's what lets you act act like a 1:14:07 smart guy exactly that's what taught me 1:14:09 how to be a smart 1:14:14 ass I've been using it for JS I only 1:14:16 entered now what's the website for this 1:14:18 AI this is claw. this is this is uh sort 1:14:22 of the the new chat GPT 1:14:26 well no it is a is it is a standing chat 1:14:29 GPT competitor they've been competitors 1:14:31 for a while but their latest version 1:14:33 Claud 3.5 sonnet which is their middle 1:14:36 model Opus hasn't come out yet um the 1:14:40 3.5 Sonet is really good it's good at 1:14:43 writing it's good at tables it's good at 1:14:47 coding and it's got this thing called 1:14:48 artifacts where it just generates [ __ ] 1:14:51 in that window so it's quite good um 1:14:56 it is not connected to the internet 1:14:59 which is a big pain in the ass but it's 1:15:01 still very very 1:15:03 good and all I did was I asked it to 1:15:06 make a last 1:15:11 updated can I go 1:15:19 [Music] 1:15:20 back I think I lost my well it's 1:15:22 published it's over here um 1:15:41 so we have this published 1:15:43 application that generates different 1:15:45 monochromatic color palettes 1:15:48 [Laughter] 1:15:58 he sounds a little touched is he touched 1:16:01 is he okay is everything okay does do he 1:16:04 did he take his medication or did he 1:16:06 take too much 1:16:13 medication all right let's look up 1:16:15 California 1:16:17 earthquake cuz Danielle said big and now 1:16:19 someone else just said yeah that was a 1:16:21 Shaker 1:16:23 Califor a 1:16:28 earth 1:16:34 quake 1:16:37 5.7 1:16:40 5.1 2 seconds ago 5.1 near Lamont 1:16:46 California magnitude 5.1 190 mil South 1:16:51 wait 190 miles from Bakersfield 1:16:57 boom 5.7 on 1:17:12 Google oh 1:17:15 sorry I could have showed you that but I 1:17:17 would rather have you look up my 1:17:20 nose why are we looking up his nose this 1:17:23 is awkward 1:17:25 I didn't really want to get to KN him 1:17:26 this well I've heard of ASMR but this is 1:17:30 ridiculous is he going to 1:17:39 twerk don't forget to hydrate 1:17:42 people and it's a fine nose sir thank 1:17:44 you very much it's you know I did all 1:17:47 right I got the German you know the 1:17:50 German I got German Heritage so well I 1:17:54 would have a jawline if I didn't fill it 1:17:56 with fat but you 1:17:58 [Laughter] 1:18:02 know I like Oreos what am I I cannot lie 1:18:07 I cannot lie hey Kyle what would you 1:18:09 recommend for creating a 1:18:12 metaverse I would recommend 1:18:16 waiting 1:18:18 because here's the thing about 1:18:22 metaverses right now in Unreal Engine 1:18:26 they're creating this these procedural I 1:18:29 think they're called procedural or I 1:18:30 forget what they're called but the 1:18:32 dynamically generated um I think they're 1:18:35 called 1:18:36 procedural scenes where you can like 1:18:38 create a scene and then you can just 1:18:39 drop like a cliff in the scene and it'll 1:18:42 dynamically sort of incorporate into the 1:18:45 scene 1:18:46 smoothly and so they're creating all 1:18:48 these modules an Unreal Engine and then 1:18:50 they're building on top of that 1:18:53 generative AI interface 1:18:55 so we're going to be able to within a 1:19:00 year just say I want to be in the Mojave 1:19:04 Desert in 1:19:08 2077 in an 1:19:10 arena you know F pitting slaves against 1:19:15 one another and it'll just and then 1:19:17 you'll be able to enter that 1:19:20 so my the the the idea of 1:19:26 taking the time and expense and just 1:19:30 mental fortitude to create a world and 1:19:33 create all the objects in it when you're 1:19:35 going to be able to dynamically do that 1:19:37 in not too long I created an AI image 1:19:41 upscaler amazing Gavin biddy in in 1:19:44 Claude AI That's great might be worth 1:19:49 mentioning I didn't know 1:19:53 that the new GPT 4 1:19:55 is so Brandon Brandon coming in here 1:19:58 dropping some heat dropping some 1:20:02 knowledge says might be worth mentioning 1:20:04 open AI quietly released a new model 1:20:07 today they also there's two things they 1:20:09 they did today there's another thing 1:20:11 they did that's pretty good which I'll 1:20:12 talk about in a second the GPT 40 is 1:20:16 slightly better and 50% cheaper than the 1:20:19 old one so I assume this means they 1:20:21 dropped this model in the in the 1:20:24 development environment in in the chat 1:20:26 gbt 1:20:27 playground right now it's only a tad 1:20:30 below sonit 3.5 on livebench wow okay 1:20:34 cool awesome um okay so new model so so 1:20:39 some things are dropping from open 1:20:42 AI 1:20:44 um the other thing open AI dropped 1:20:47 [Music] 1:20:51 today is structured output 1:21:00 open 1:21:05 AI is this 1:21:12 it wait eight hours 1:21:20 ago the desktop app for Mac OS now gives 1:21:23 you side by side 1:21:25 access to chat 1:21:29 GPT use option 1:21:32 space and open a companion 1:21:36 window which stays in front so you can 1:21:38 use it more easily option space option 1:21:43 space 1:21:48 um 1:21:50 what do you 1:21:53 see question question 1:22:06 mark hey chat jpt are you the old chat 1:22:09 GPT are you the new chat 1:22:15 GPT response count to response title 1:22:20 on7 all right see hey Kyle I'm based on 1:22:23 the GPT 4 1:22:25 um I don't quite know what they just 1:22:28 announced 1:22:46 here I don't know what that is I I don't 1:22:49 [ __ ] care it's not it's not 1:22:51 great um where's the thing it must been 1:22:55 a Sam mman 1:22:56 announcement uh 1:22:59 at 1:23:05 Sama AI is cool I 1:23:08 guess this thing by very popular demand 1:23:13 structured outputs in the 1:23:17 API and so 1:23:20 having sort of manually done this for 1:23:24 the we built this this cool app for 1:23:26 Story vine that ingests a video and then 1:23:30 makes a bunch of outputs from it and we 1:23:33 did we 1:23:34 we formatted those outputs using 1:23:38 Json 1:23:40 and models now reliably adhere to 1:23:43 developer Supply Json schemas so we've 1:23:46 got we've got an A data object for 1:23:49 schemas in our programming thing so we 1:23:52 can now hook right into this I think I 1:23:55 have our engineer looking at it but 1:23:57 anyway last year on dev day we we 1:23:58 introduced Json mode a useful building 1:24:00 block while Json mode improves model 1:24:04 reliability it does not guarantee the 1:24:06 model's response will conform to a 1:24:09 particular schema today we're 1:24:11 introducing structured outputs in the 1:24:13 API so it it will adhere to that schema 1:24:16 so basically what that means is your 1:24:18 programmers can set a set of you know 1:24:21 parameters or variables so so you can 1:24:24 say hey I always want to create a title 1:24:26 object and I always want to create a 1:24:28 description object and I always want to 1:24:30 create a URL object and then I always 1:24:32 want to create a description of the URL 1:24:34 object and 1:24:35 then when you ask for [ __ ] out of the 1:24:39 the open AI system it will respond with 1:24:43 those objects every time not randomly or 1:24:46 when it feels like it so that's cool if 1:24:50 you're a developer that's a big deal 1:24:52 that's good that's good people 1:24:56 that's 1:24:57 good that means that will make my 1:25:03 homework is that open AI yes that's open 1:25:07 AI oh 1:25:09 L I'm sleepy all right I think I'm going 1:25:12 to get out of here nose Kyle we're 1:25:13 looking up your nose again I know 1:25:16 [Laughter] 1:25:21 whatever yeah I should probably probably 1:25:23 probably trim my nose hair as f going to 1:25:25 be that close to the camera might want 1:25:27 to might want to do some some 1:25:36 manscaping oh good 1:25:40 lord 1:25:48 listen you can make money with 1:25:56 oh good lord you know there was a time 1:25:58 where we thought we were going to make 1:25:59 money with chat gbt but 1:26:02 then Sam Walman forgot he was a research 1:26:04 lab not a consumer product company 1:26:07 forgot how to forgot how to launch 1:26:09 products because they've never had to do 1:26:11 that 1:26:13 before Oh man all right 1:26:27 okay let's see it's 10:26 I'm going to 1:26:30 get out of here you people on the East 1:26:31 Coast go to bed uh you people on the 1:26:34 west coast smoke a bowl well maybe go 1:26:38 pick up the lamp that fell off the table 1:26:39 in the family room cuz your 1:26:42 earthquake hope you're all 1:26:45 okay all right you can sell nose hair 1:26:47 trimmers on the tict Tock shop that's 1:26:49 actually good I'll just go in close and 1:26:51 go see 1:26:52 this see how embarrassing that 1:26:55 is imagine you had a huge Tik Tok 1:26:58 following and you stuck your nose up to 1:27:01 the camera like 1:27:03 this the new laser powered nose hair 1:27:07 trimmer from the Tik Tock shop is just 1:27:09 what the doctor 1:27:10 ordered I'm not a doctor but I got a 1:27:13 diploma from chat 1:27:15 GPT picked up a new subscriber tton 1:27:18 scare thank you so 1:27:21 much fan [ __ ] fastic thank thank you 1:27:24 for subscribing that means a lot it 1:27:26 means a lot I really do appreciate it um 1:27:30 all right I'm going to get out of here 1:27:33 so as we talked about earlier if you 1:27:36 were not at the AI Salon tonight you 1:27:38 missed out on getting a free free access 1:27:41 to LTX 1:27:43 Studio those were that were at the at 1:27:45 the 1:27:47 salon we had we had the community 1:27:50 manager from LTX Studio came and spoke 1:27:53 showed off some new [ __ ] told us new 1:27:55 things that are 1:27:56 coming and then I asked him if we could 1:27:59 get anyone that was on the call access 1:28:01 to LTX Studio life's tough tough or 1:28:03 you're stupid and he said 1:28:06 yes he said give me your emails Vicky 1:28:09 gathered them all up she shuttled them 1:28:12 off to him and those people are going to 1:28:15 get access to LTX studio just for 1:28:17 showing up and it's 1:28:20 free so go to there that's our website 1:28:23 and scroll down down and you'll see two 1:28:25 buttons at the top one is join the 1:28:27 community you should join the community 1:28:28 and the other one is come to our [ __ ] 1:28:30 meetings first and third Tuesdays of the 1:28:33 month are the meetings all 1:28:36 right win oh Winston is the new 1:28:38 subscriber Winston thank you so 1:28:40 much and and you sent a star you're 1:28:43 amazing Winston thank you so much that's 1:28:45 very generous I really appreciate that 1:28:47 really appreciate that 1:28:49 awesome um okay so how you can support 1:28:54 the channel you can subscribe like 1:28:56 Winston just did that's awesome you can 1:28:58 give gifts the gifty things that's fine 1:29:02 um follow my channel would be 1:29:07 swell show up 1:29:10 here when nightly I'm here five nights a 1:29:14 week I've gone the traditional route 1:29:16 Monday through Friday take weekends 1:29:20 off but I'm here five nights a week 1:29:23 starting around 8:00 p.m. Mountain like 1:29:25 tonight we had a salon so I was a little 1:29:30 late and just come hang 1:29:35 out hang out with the 1:29:39 Irregulars 1:29:41 and I may accidentally teach you 1:29:44 something you may accidentally learn 1:29:46 something you will likely learn things 1:29:48 from the others that are interacting in 1:29:51 here 1:29:52 um you will occasionally be 1:29:57 entertained but that's not guaranteed 1:30:00 the level of entertainment here is is 1:30:03 sort of similar to the level of accurate 1:30:05 answers you get from chat 1:30:09 GPT it could be 1:30:12 entertaining but it's generally just 1:30:17 not I think I'm funny I think I'm 1:30:22 funny um 1:30:25 so anyway so thank you IR regulars thank 1:30:26 you mods for doing a bang up oh sign up 1:30:29 for the newsletter oh that's the other 1:30:30 thing at the at the AI Salon um I think 1:30:33 it's down toward the bottom there's a 1:30:35 sign up for the newsletter button we've 1:30:37 got a newsletter which talks about 1:30:39 what's going on at the salon Brandon and 1:30:41 Vicky uh put together the first issue 1:30:44 the first issue of the AI Salon 1:30:46 newsletter went out I think yesterday 1:30:48 right Vicki something like that oh and 1:30:50 there's the series also if you want to 1:30:52 support the uh Salon in one of these 1:30:55 Corners is the series that says 1:30:57 underhyped that's a video series I put 1:31:00 together if you're trying to get your 1:31:01 head around this AI stuff um pick up 1:31:04 pick up that it's like 17 or 18 videos 1:31:07 where I'm just talking about how chat 1:31:09 GPT works and how diffusion image models 1:31:11 work and why they're significant and how 1:31:14 AI is GPT for 1:32:25 airline tickets down down thumbs down 1:32:30 yeah the Bob H these tools do not have 1:32:33 what what they would call agentic 1:32:35 Behavior what you might be able to do 1:32:38 with chat GPT or even piie is get prices 1:32:41 for tickets but if you want it to 1:32:43 actually do 1:32:45 something if you want to take the time 1:32:47 to learn how to add API access into a 1:32:50 custom GPT you can do that um 1:32:54 I've personally chosen to ignore that 1:32:57 feature until they make it 1:33:00 easier anything that looks and feels 1:33:02 like actual engineering to
