7. 1:16the the keyboard on the laptop but I'm going to attempt to use the keyboard down below so there's that I've also

9. 1:36didn't realize the the World Series on last night people were like the baseball games on I'm like who gives a [ __ ] I'm
10. 1:42like oh it's the World Series [ __ ] I forgot what month we were in uh so I got that going on so uh four
11. 1:50to one diamond backs are up four to one in the I don't know fourth fifth third something like that uh maybe it's more
12. 1:57I'm not really paying too much attention to it um got some I just there's a lot going on many of you don't even know who I am

15. 2:25oh look see I'm I'm I'm so used to putting my hand up on the computer it's going to take me a while it's going to
16. 2:32be good but anyway we'll go make some images um I'll answer your questions so the way this works is be not afraid I
17. 2:38love that that's super cool I want to make I want to have uh Herod um because he's got this new Laura that does these
18. 2:45really cool images we should make some custom these custom stickers for the channel so we should talk about what to
19. 2:51put in there cuz those those things are super cool I think we can do some fun stuff there um but look how cute this is
20. 2:58I think Ted made this one look cute little AI learning lab all right so the way this works is um you give up your Saturday
21. 3:13night you join me I act like an idiot for three hours I do what I can to teach what I can I'll answer AI questions I'll
22. 3:22wax poetic about the future of work the future of AI um I'll do my best to demystify this stuff and yeah custom
23. 3:32stickers I know I well I don't quite know how to do those yet so we got to figure that out but but this is this is
24. 3:38a solvable problem learning how to use Tik Tok is a solvable problem you know I've never done it before but I know it can be
25. 3:49done so the other thing that we'll do is if you're brand new to this stuff and you're like but Kyle I don't
26. 3:57know where to start I'm just a newbie I'm not very technical everyone's going to think I'm weird if I do AI [ __ ] we'll
27. 4:03get you started we'll we'll calm we'll calm the waters a little bit if you're afraid of this stuff you do not need to
28. 4:10be a technologist in fact um I have a degree in acting now uh I have been a tech entrepreneur for a bunch of years so my
29. 4:21current gig is I'm the founder and CEO of a company called storyvine which is an automated video storytelling platform and um
30. 4:30you know I've started lots of companies I also started a company in the mid90s called agency.com which was one of the
31. 4:35early digital agencies and why I bring that up is the early days of the worldwide web and the early days of this
32. 4:42generative AI stuff very very similar vilar vilar uh I also think I'm going to need to go change my shirt I can't read the comments on
33. 4:54it good Heavens now I have no comments D audio visual television production Jennifer L are you in audio
34. 5:07video television production or you're marveling at the quality of audio video television production on this Tik Tok
35. 5:14Channel I know it's impressive I don't like to brag but you know when you got it you got it the uh the the the network
36. 5:23people have been calling but I you know I don't want to lower myself to their standards okay so I'm going to change my

50. 8:11do I start oh that's the other thing I did look how clean that screen is I cleaned all the water the fingerprints
51. 8:16off my screen cuz cuz I love you all and I had a moment of add productivity um have you heard of autogen if you have how significant do
52. 8:30you believe autonomous agents will be yeah uh I have heard of it I think autonomous agents are going to be all
53. 8:38the rage in 2024 I think they're going to be huge and um we're we're already starting to see some hints of that
54. 8:47behavior in chat GPT if you have played with Advanced Data analysis or if you've played with DOI there is prompting going
55. 8:57on without you having to do prompting so it is starting to prompt itself so there's hints of that already um I'll
56. 9:03talk about that in a sec but before we get into more advanced stuff if you're just brand new to generative AI if
57. 9:11you're like but Kyle I don't know where to start what do I do what site's the best just go to the one that's in yellow chat
58. 9:17gbt chat. open.com they're the ones that started this whole mess November 30th of last year we're coming up on the
59. 9:24one-year anniversary of the launch of chat gbt um I think that will Mark a seminal moment in history an inflection point
60. 9:33where everything um after that point was not the same and uh anyone who's in this channel that comes here regularly I got
61. 9:42I got it my first Tom Arnold of the evening thank you for Christopher Ramsey I haven't got I haven't gotten a
62. 9:48Rosie O'Donnell in a while so so I'll take the I'll take the Tom Arnolds um but yeah I'm I'm I'm Tom Arnold and I know AI
63. 10:03um but uh but yeah but chat GPT is the one the one to start playing with just go there and start playing if you don't
64. 10:09know at all what to do you can go to that that URL down at the bottom there prompt. chat um that's kind of a little
65. 10:15primer on how to talk to these things and it gives you some some starting points with prompts um it's pretty good
66. 10:22little document and that'll get you started but just go there and start asking it anything um it it kind of will
67. 10:29look on its surface like a Google search box um but it is way more than a than a fancy Google and um I was in Rosie's
68. 10:39feet and told her she looks like Kyle Shannon that's the perfect that's oh my God I listen I think it's important that
69. 10:49that rather than you know saying I look like a celebrity we should really let the celebrities know that they look like
70. 10:56me I like it I think it's solid you know enough of them being on top you know I'm a celebrity in my own mind um all right so other things to
71. 11:10look at here these these four um large language models Chachi PT Claude Bard and Bing these are kind of the big four
72. 11:18I call this the adult table um Chachi PT in my opinion is the one you should spend most of your time on however
73. 11:26Claude is is a really good alternative one of the things Claude does that chat GPT can't is it's got a really large
74. 11:34what they call a context window basically just means it's got a large memory you can put a really large
75. 11:40document in Claude and it can read it so for example if you've written a novel and it's like a 50,000-word novel you
76. 11:47can put it into CLA and have it write the last chapter for you uh and and it just will because it can it's got it can
77. 11:55do about 75,000 words in its in its memory compared to chat GPT which right now can do about 3,000 words right so
78. 12:02it's significantly bigger memory and then Bard and Bing are both connected to the internet Bard is from Google it's
79. 12:09pretty good but not great it's pretty good at coding and then um they're about to launch a thing called Gemini that's going to make it
80. 12:19amazing and apparently that was supposed to happen in the month of October which we're we're almost at the end of so it
81. 12:25might be might be next week as a possibility let's see I am a something dog trainer wait the could whoever just
82. 12:32pinned the dog trainer thing uh repin it cuz I lost it I lost it lost it lost it oh wait got to go to my other

84. 13:02here's kind of the next four down I'm Mando dog trainer I AIO dog trainer I want clients to be able to ask basic questions based on my

87. 13:31ask basic questions based on your ideology is mandio a place or a dog training ideology and I'm not I'm not joking I actually don't
88. 13:43know um let's go to chat GPT and ask hm
89. 14:01is mondio a dog training philosophy or a location and I know I could ask walking blue but we have cat [Laughter]
90. 14:15gbt oh it's a dog sport it's not a philosophy man mondioring is an internationally recognized protection sport for
91. 14:27dogs where's my mouse where's my mouse look I'm not I'm not reaching in front of the camera anymore people this is a change this is a
92. 14:41change um dogs are tested in three areas obedience agility and protection competitions are structured in such a
93. 14:48way that exercises may change okay cool all right so I'm going to show you I'm going to show you for the AI Salon what's the

99. 15:51create a Persona yeah so I'm going to I'm going to show you we're going to walk through this walking walking blue
100. 15:59and and I'm actually going to use chat gbt here to help do this so so I just asked what what mondio was
101. 16:06manding is is shorten mondio is a dog sport it's not a philosophy or location okay so here's what I'm going to do I'm going to
102. 16:15say please act as a mondio expert and I want you to create a Persona of yourself and what your expertise
103. 16:34is see I just reached into the cam into the camera lens there okay I'm going to say stop generating it's not quite what I
104. 16:51wanted I don't want you to create a fictitious character I just want a description of someone who's expert at this and what their expertise
105. 17:04is and by the way what I'm using there to to talk to my Mac is just normal accessibility stuff um on the Mac so I'm
106. 17:13not I'm not using that's not anything within um chat
107. 17:27gbt I want a resource for owners to get instant answers to basic questions when I can't do it yep we're going to get
108. 17:40there walking blue so so what I'm going to teach you what I'm doing right now is I'm in chat GPT kind of creating this
109. 17:47Persona um and then I'm going to also uh have it uh give a little bit about how it should respond when someone someone's
110. 17:57talking to it it's missing the point missing the point how well let me just show you how to do it and then you can you can do this on
111. 18:07your own thank you Clint Copperhead I appreciate that level 20 for Clint fantastic I'm tell him what he's won you could make money
112. 18:15with okay so so let me just let me just do it here without without it being you know fully correct oh that's Ford
113. 18:25mondio it totally it totally got it wrong it got okay hang on no you gave me expertise wait no you gave me expertise about a
114. 18:39car I want m o n d IO o as the as the persona's expertise just make
115. 18:57it a single paragraph with all without all of the extra sections here's a condensed description amandio
116. 19:13expert years of hands-on experience they put us extensive knowledge and training techniques okay um now if I were to create a bot
117. 19:28that were to answer questions about mondio I need to have the bot respond in a certain way so what I'd like you to
118. 19:38create is a prompt that I'll put in the bot that starts with act as a mandio trainer and when someone asks a
119. 19:48question respond with a certain set of rules my God is it missing the spelling of that m o n d i o let's see
120. 20:03this prompt act as a mondio mondioring trainer when answering questions always prioritize the safety of both dogs and
121. 20:12handlers emphasize the importance of positive reinforcement highlight so this is this is where you'd put in
122. 20:20your um you know your philosophy your things address queries with patience and ensure The Inquirer feels understood
123. 20:27draw upon real world examples stay updated okay so I'm going to take this I'm just going to copy this and I'm going to show
124. 20:38you how we're going to how we're going to go play so right now I'm on chat GPT now I'm going to flip over to a new site called
125. 20:48po and so this is po so PO is kind of like chaty PT except po has something about it that's that's really special where you can create a bot
126. 20:59and publish that bot and you can even monetize it they they just added monetization to these bots so you can
127. 21:06you can charge for these now from what I understand I haven't set one up I've built a bunch of these things but what
128. 21:12we're going to do the the way this works is so you can go play with other people's Bots and in fact I wonder let's let's go to
129. 21:22explore and see if there's there's cooking AI learning professional advice funny games travel Sports utilities
130. 21:32programming and I guess professional might be the way to do this oh search for Bots let's see m o n d i
131. 21:43o okay there's no mandio bot in there that's that's a good sign so yours will be unique but I'm going to put in dog dogs
132. 21:59just trying to see if there's any Bots from dog trainers let me put in dog training dog training dog trainer
133. 22:13AI all right so here we have a bot a dog training assistant designed to give dog owners the necessary knowledge and tools

136. 22:38it's a cliche he attacks the male as it's being put through the slot and all of our mail is constantly shredded what do I do that is not a
137. 22:53lie I did not make that up um here are suggestion seek professional help okay so there's a bot in here but we're going to create a
138. 23:07bot and so when when you go create bot here you can put in a picture so you can put in a picture of your dog or yourself
139. 23:14and then um you name the bot so I'm just going to put um you know uh let's see I train
140. 23:31dogs and then we're going to select so so you put in a prompt and so I'm going to paste in that prompt that we
141. 23:41made encourage a deep bond and then I'm going to say um I'll leave it like that I'll just leave it where it is act as a
142. 23:49mandio trainer and then there's there's our rules so you can make your own rules up so this this could be your philosophy
143. 23:55here right um You can you can decide whether or not you want to show The Prompt in the bot so I'm going to turn
144. 24:01that off cuz we don't want to show The Prompt we don't want to show the secret sauce um then let's see where's the
145. 24:13model oh the Bas spot so the base spot right here is which model it is so I would go to gp4 but you could use other ones in fact let
146. 24:23me make this bigger so we can all see it so here are the different models um chat GPT and Claude instant are both very
147. 24:39fast chat GPT 4 just gives better answers and then we're going to say greeting message so I'll say my name is walking blue and I am an
148. 24:55expert mondio trainer in the spot is here to serve as your guide when I'm not available ask any questions you want about training
149. 25:08and let me know if this doesn't give you what you need and then we're going to change this to
150. 25:23Mondo and let's see so we'll say this bot will answer any questions you have about training your
151. 25:41dog all right make bot publicly available yes monetization so this is new visit visit creators in the menu and
152. 25:51you can monetize it and then here's your little preview so one thing we might want to do here let's let's take this to the next level

154. 26:14doll3 which is the image generation tool is there a way to override chat chbt is there a way to override what chat GPT may
155. 26:25offer I don't know what you mean by that you can write whatever you want in the bot that we're creating oh is there a way to make it
156. 26:34like super specific like it's a it's only going to answer what you want it to answer I don't you'll have to experiment
157. 26:38with that um without do you could do that with programming but I'm just trying to give you a quick way that you
158. 26:45could you could create this bot tonight like right now um so I'm going to go create an image for this so let's do um image of
159. 27:01um trainer and his I don't know if it's his dog um oops I said fog dog
160. 27:19closeup meaning create the answers that I want the client to hear yeah you can well so what you can put into the um
161. 27:30what you can put into that bot description I just had where where what I put in there were kind of generic
162. 27:35things like you know say the dog is safe you can put in specific things for it to say but what you can't control is what
163. 27:42people are asking if you just want to do a thing where they can sort of pick from a list of questions um then then you C then you
164. 27:50could do that but um you kind of lose the spontaneity of being able to ask at anything thing so I'm going to say copy
165. 27:59do I want copy image there no I want to save it so I'm going to save this image as let's see dog desktop
166. 28:15save and then I'm going to hop back over to PO and we're going to go add an image up here at the top so I'm going to go to my desktop and
167. 28:26get my little dog picture and there it is there there's our little dude and dog trainer and so now I'm going to create the bot so this is I

173. 29:32this however it's highly recommended that you get a full health checkup it's worth mentioning that while mixed breed
174. 29:38this actually you know large thing um let's see uh let's [Music] go what is the first skill that you will train my dog to
175. 29:55do I train dogs come on I train dogs what are you doing what are you going to do with my
176. 30:14dog can you create a philosophy with my answers yeah so so that's what unable to reach post let me just retry this and see if it it

178. 30:32so so walking blue you can type in anything you want in here so all right when mon earing training first thing we'll have it do is sit down
179. 30:43just like it so now it's writing the answers of what it's going to train the dog okay so let me start that conversation
180. 30:50over so I'm going to go back to the um settings and in this prompt right where what I what I had chat GPT right was so I had it right you
181. 31:05know act as a mondioring trainer when answering questions always prioritize safety emphasize the importance of
182. 31:12positive reinforcement right so here's the rules this is where you would type in your philosophy so you'd basically say My
183. 31:21Philosophy with this is all of the following things when responding to someone's questions about this be sure
184. 31:28to you know be sure to incorporate my PO has overloaded took me to Bard po has overload it took you to Bard
185. 31:38that's really weird try it again just go to po.com itrain dogs it should work um but yeah so basically you just
186. 31:50you just put your philosophy in here and then you know at the end you say um let's let's see how would we do
187. 31:58this these are my philosophies and please make sure that you incorporate them into the answers if they are
188. 32:11applicable or something like that right and so so this prompt will tell the bot how to behave so this is where you'd put
189. 32:20in your philosophy so it's your Bot you can do anything you want with it and so I would just keep experimenting with it
190. 32:26so what you'll do is you'll put in a prompt you'll have it start doing you know you you can start playing with it
191. 32:32immediately look at the answers if it's not giving you the answers that you want you go back in and change the rules and
192. 32:38say you know never do this always do this things like that so you can absolutely do it what's what's rough
193. 32:44about creating bots so historically if you wanted to create a bot what you'd have to do is you would essentially have
194. 32:51to anticipate all of the things that people might ask and you would have to write all of the different answers for
195. 32:56them and then it's just a a big giant logic tree if they ask this then answer this if they ask this then answer that
196. 33:04and it's and it was incredibly timec consuming what the power of large language models is is they've got a ton
197. 33:11of this knowledge in there already so what you can do is just put in your philosophy here and say make sure that
198. 33:17when you're answering the questions filter It Through My Philosophy but then people can ask anything they want and
199. 33:23this bot will provide good answers you could even put something in there if they ask something not related to dogs
200. 33:29or this particular kind of training just tell them that you're a you know you're a bot that that focus on focuses on this
201. 33:36specific thing and to get back on track basically all right so that's that I hope that helps all right the advantage of a bot to a
202. 33:47business owner to see the questions people ask or to provide service oh is it um the one thing that I don't know
203. 33:57about Poots is if you've got access to all the to your Bot usage and what people ask open po faster with our new desktop
204. 34:10app okay I'm not interested in that so here's my bots so now I've got I trained dogs Yay see all the chats with this bot oh yeah
205. 34:25look now I don't know if that's just my chats with

208. 35:08yeah I don't know I don't know that that would be something to look into to see if there's if there's if you can look at
209. 35:13you know what people have asked that are not you it's possible anyway there you go all right that should get youell in
210. 35:21up and running you only see your oh you only see your chats okay all right so at some point po might get
211. 35:29there the other thing you can play with is there's a site called zappier where you can make your own Bots and I know
212. 35:33with zappier you can definitely write things into a spreadsheet into a database so you could get that sort of
213. 35:40information all right that was a little rabbit hole there so hope that hope that was helpful let's get back to let's get
214. 35:47back to this stuff um so um I was talking about if you want to get started with this stuff where do you start start
215. 35:54with chat BT um Claude art and Bing are also big and important um piie is a really interesting one um because it's designed
216. 36:06to be a conversational bot by the way it is 7:1 um diamond backs in the World Series um PO is the one we just went over
217. 36:17that's the one where you can make Bots and then perplexity is a good kind of research thing the the conversational
218. 36:23bot with pi is really interesting let me let me pull it up here so I've got Pi it's just like a a normal
219. 36:34um like chatbot just like chat gbt but in the lower right hand corner is this little phone icon if I click it or tap it oh
220. 36:49wait hang on I've got my volume down I smell a plot twist spill the tea what's up hey who's uh winning in the Arizona
221. 37:02Diamondbacks game right now and what's the [Music] score the Diamondbacks are leading the
222. 37:17game with a score of 56 in the seventh inning against the Texas Rangers the game is shaping up to be quite the
223. 37:25nailbiter with both teams putting up a good fight Gabriel Moreno of the Diamondbacks hit a solo home run in the
224. 37:32fourth inning while Mitch Garver of the Rangers got his team on the board with a run in the fifth inning this game is
225. 37:39going to be a close one so buckle up and enjoy the ride I'm pretty sure you were talking about last night's game tonight's

230. 38:25initially um but that's all the IOS app of piie it's it it very much is going to represent the future of these things Kyle
231. 38:35as as Matthew Perry your friends what oh wait Kyle oh ask about Matthew Perry your friends yeah it should know it I know he just passed
232. 38:45which is really sad have you heard any news about Matthew Perry from Friends [Music]
233. 39:01Matthew Perry who played the iconic character Chandler Bing on the hit show Friends tragically passed away at the
234. 39:06age of 54 according to several news outlets it's reported that he was found unresponsive in a hot so so yes and and
235. 39:17so now Pi's been connected to the internet for a while but they just made another announcement about it about it
236. 39:24being connected to the internet I have a feeling they they dramatically increase the speed or something like that so the
237. 39:30fact that it's it's able to go you know go out search the internet get relevant information take that relevant
238. 39:38information send it back to a large language Model turn that into conversational chat synthesize that and
239. 39:45answer your question in about a second and a half is absolutely remarkable um I know I know it's very sad is it just it just happened the
240. 39:54Matthew Perry thing so so that's actually really good um a really good example of of um you know that thing being truly connected to the
241. 40:06internet so it having a conversation with pi is something I would just encourage you to do because it's it's just it's just not like any
242. 40:18other it's not like Siri and Alexa at all you can talk to it about anything you can have it create a game you can
243. 40:25ask it about news you can you can have it teach you things you can um you know ask about books you haven't read or or
244. 40:33movies you haven't seen um it it does sometimes hallucinate but they all do um but but it's really worth worth looking
245. 40:42at um okay for image creation take a take a screenshot of this one so Dolly 3 is now built into chat GPT I think the
246. 40:5220 bucks a month for chat GPT plus is an absolute bargain right now the amount of features you get in it are staggeringly
247. 40:59good um Mid journey is still the best in terms of sophistication of art but it's really really close right now and I got
248. 41:08to say that creating images within dolli 3 is a GameChanger it's you don't like mid Journey you have to go to Discord Be

253. 42:00yesterday um Google announced they're putting $2 billion in it so so that's really interesting to me because you now
254. 42:08have two major Cloud providers right you have AWS on Amazon and you've got Google Cloud so one's putting in two billion
255. 42:17one's putting in four billion which cloud is this thing going to live on I don't know and and you know maybe it it
256. 42:22means that um you know both of them are vying to buy this so so the company behind Claud is a company called
257. 42:31anthropic and it's um found its Founders are exop AI people right so this team is the team that helped create gpt3 which
258. 42:43is you know what chat GPT was built on right initially um so so these are two major competitors so you've got
259. 42:51Microsoft and open Ai and now you've got AWS Amazon and Google making major investments into Claud so so these are
260. 43:00going to be really interesting um AWS is humongus or hug mongus humongous yeah exactly um Apple purportedly spent
261. 43:13$22.4 billion on R&D this year the bulk of that spending was on generative AI from from what the Rumor Mill says
262. 43:25um apple is going to be a major player in this space but what I what I predict is that they won't necessarily call it
263. 43:36AI um notice that when they launched their Vision Pro goggles they didn't use the word metaverse once they also didn't use the term AI
264. 43:47once they redefined the categoria spatial Computing they talked about this new R1 chip in The Vision Pro go Les
265. 43:56which stands for reality one and what it is is a massively powerful machine learning um processing chip so you're
266. 44:05going to be able to do massive amounts of machine learning on device on Apple devices um I upload an image into chat
267. 44:13GPT and ask it to describe then I ask Di and Firefly to create it yep it's great way to play with those things yep so
268. 44:21Christopher Ramsey I'll I'll show that that's that's a really good m Siri died down um I'll uh I'll I'll play with that uh in a second here
269. 44:32um but Apple's going to be a major player in this I think where Apple's going to be big is with autonomous
270. 44:38agents someone earlier asked about autonomous agents so autonomous agents right now you go to chat GPT and you ask
271. 44:44it a question and it gives you an answer but if you have played with um uh Advanced Data analysis with chat
272. 44:53GPT you tell it hey could you please go look at this file that I just uploaded and tell me about the data in it and it
273. 45:02starts prompting itself and it starts writing its own python code and executing its own python code you basically just sit back and watch it
274. 45:12same with Dolly 3 where you say hey um you know I'm thinking about putting together a logo for this kind of
275. 45:21business can you give me four different ideas and then it goes off and it writes it own prompts and then it generates the
276. 45:27images for you so those are two examples right now you can play with today that are kind of a hint of where this stuff
277. 45:35is going so now imagine you know on your Apple device you you they have whatever the equivalent of Siri is if they're
278. 45:43going to change Siri out and you say you know hey I I want to go to Mexico in the next three months can you go find me
279. 45:51prices and then if they're good if they're under this amount just buy me the best ticket and it will know your
280. 45:58preferences and it will just go off and take action on your behalf whatever you've given it permission for and it
281. 46:03will just go book your tickets and then it'll come back and say okay I got those tickets here they are and you're like oh
282. 46:09no um you booked them for 6:00 in the morning I I can't go until the afternoon on that day can you change those out
283. 46:15sure thing boss off it'll go and do that thing can I build a team of autonomous agents um right now there there are tools like autog GPT
284. 46:26and and um some of the stuff you can do with Lang chain and and um there's one called Baby AGI there there's a bunch of
285. 46:35them out there that you could you could start to play with that yes they're not great um within the chat within the open AI
286. 46:45API there's a thing called actions So within the open AI API you could build basically a chatbot that does take
287. 46:53actions so it's in the documentation right now to be able to make your own autonomous agents so the answer is
288. 47:00yes if the question is can you do that easily right now without coding the answer is no but the infrastructure for it's there

306. 49:37video it's expensive right now so you'd be better off installing and learning the stable diffusion stuff where you can
307. 49:43do some video things um Visa allows you to generate kind of scripted video montages where where it sticks um stock video together

330. 53:24full of people who are learning this stuff in real time and sharing what they're learning in real time that's
331. 53:31what this Channel's about so so let me go I want to go talk to you about the the values of the salon because it's
332. 53:38it's really important I'm going to I'm going to read the um the kind of mission statement about who we are and what we
333. 53:49do so ai ai Salon is a ragtag group of Misfits Nar do Wells and miscreant who have gathered to explore the Uncharted
334. 53:59Wilderness of generative AI where everyone from entrepreneurs to Educators from healthcare workers to creatives and everyone in
335. 54:08between generative AI right now is so new and so raw that no one is an expert at it there are experts at machine learning and
336. 54:18AI but this generative AI stuff chat GPT the image generation tools the music generation tools all stuff we're talking
337. 54:25about build a website with a prompt right all that stuff is all brand new and it's going to transform everything
338. 54:31and the whole idea of the salon is we want to find people that want to be on this journey that want to be on this
339. 54:37adventure that are that are ready to get curious about it and excited to get curious about it and so with that you
340. 54:45know we put together this group and we've got six values and these values are really important because the thing
341. 54:51about values is you know it's it's really easy to go here's our values values is really important but but values are very much how we want
342. 54:59everyone to behave so if you resonate with these this is a community for you if you don't that's cool this isn't like
343. 55:06if you want something just more geeky or whatever it might be so so the first of the values is generosity and and it's
344. 55:12you know it's the first one for a reason we want people to be generous this is not a time to be stingy with your
345. 55:17knowledge as we're all learning stuff it's it's imperative to to share it with other people because because everyone's
346. 55:27trying to figure this out and there's there's so much opportunity right now it's not like if you share with someone
347. 55:33some crazy prompt you came up with that's going to like cut into your Revenue in the future no that prompt is
348. 55:40going to be irrelevant a month or two from now cuz some new text's going to come out that that you don't need it
349. 55:46anymore so so like everything's shifting right now so be generous um exploration we want people that are excited to
350. 55:52explore and and and are digging in and trying stuff and seeing if they can break it and breaking it and doing things right
351. 55:59collaboration this is one of the things I'm most excited about in the salon right now is there are a lot of of
352. 56:06people discovering one another and going hey I like how you think or I like how you talk or whatever it is and they're
353. 56:12starting projects together that's a big part of the part of the uh part of the thing um inclusion um people are coming from every every
354. 56:26discipline some of the most um some of the people that I know that are doing the most interesting work in generative
355. 56:33AI right now do not have a tech background um Claire who's in the community has been doing amazing stuff with art and she's a
356. 56:43nurse and we've got people who started out as engineers and are now doing music or doing video um Herod who's who's the
357. 56:51one teaching all the video he was an engineer and he decided he wanted to be become an AI artist and did that so
358. 56:56people are coming from all over the place last one's empathy everyone right now is dealing with kind of the existential nature of
359. 57:07these tools that oh my God what if this replaces my job what if what if my job is irrelevant what do I do how do I like
360. 57:15you know Hollywood told me the robots are going to kill us is that true are these evil things that are going to kill
361. 57:21us so as you talk about this stuff as you start exploring it and you're being generous with what you're putting out
362. 57:28there um people are going to be scared and just have empathy for that so how can we join so how you join is and I think I'm missing one of
363. 57:39our values one two three four five I'm missing one of the values I'll have to put it in there I forget which one it is
364. 57:48generosity huh okay well whatever um you join the salon go to the salon. and there's there's a bunch of links there it's a link tree and the

385. 1:00:34ground floor if you think you're behind you're not um the repetition of the lives to be extremely inspiring and

604. 1:35:48coding it's dramatically better at all theu stuff you ask it to do why is that GPT 3.5 is what's is is what they
605. 1:35:59call a 175 billion parameter model so it's a single model that's got 175 billion parameters in it it doesn't
606. 1:36:08matter what those are it's just a lot it's it knows a lot basically gp4 is 1.8 trillion and it's actually 10
607. 1:36:20different 180 million parameter models kind of stitched together they call it um something of experts I forget what the m is it's Moe
608. 1:36:34but basically when you ask a question of chat GPT 4 it looks at these multiple models one's been trained on coding
609. 1:36:42one's been trained on mathematics one's been they're trained on different expertises and so when you ask it a
610. 1:36:48question it figures out which of these 10 models can best answer your question and then it kind of amalgamates the [ __ ]
611. 1:36:54together it's just an incredibly deeper more sophisticated tool okay uh many of experts a many of experts no it's not
612. 1:37:03many of experts oh wait maybe we can ask Chad gbt what doese stand for in the context of a large language model system where is my

971. 2:40:17could there's this whole sort of technical Gauntlet you have to go through and then you take the time to
972. 2:40:23learn all that [ __ ] and then you realize oh [ __ ] I'm not talented or like I can't draw or you know um when did you first discover the

986. 2:42:49you're making stuff what you're making isn't so good okay it's not that great it's it's trying to be good it has
987. 2:42:56ambition to good but it's not quite that good but your taste the thing that got you into the game you're your taste is
988. 2:43:01still killer and your taste is good enough that you can tell that what you're making is kind of a disappointment to you you know what I
989. 2:43:07mean a lot of people never get past that phase a lot of people at that point they quit yep and the thing I I would just
990. 2:43:13like say to you with all my heart is that most everybody I know who does interesting creative work they went
991. 2:43:20through a phase of years where they had really good taste they could tell what they were making wasn't as good as they
992. 2:43:25wanted it to be they knew it felt short it didn't have this special thing that we wanted it to have and the thing I
993. 2:43:32would say to you is everybody goes through that and for you to go through it if you're going through it right now
994. 2:43:36if you're just getting out of that phase you got to know it's totally normal and the most important possible thing you
995. 2:43:41could do is do a lot of work do a huge volume of work put your yourself on a deadline so that every week or every
996. 2:43:47month you know you're going to finish one story because it's only by actually going through a volume of work that
997. 2:43:52you're actually going to C catch up and close that Gap and your the work you're making will be as good as your Ambitions
998. 2:43:59in my case like I I took longer to figure out how to do this than anybody I've ever met it takes a while it's going to take
999. 2:44:09you a while it's normal to take a while and you just have to fight your way through that okay um I want to go back to one spot
1000. 2:44:20here in Creative work they went through a phase of years where they had really good taste they could tell
1001. 2:44:27what who does interesting creative work they went through a phase of years went through a phase of years so if you've ever tried to do a
1002. 2:44:42new thing and this is this is Malcolm gladwell's 10,000 hours right from from outliers that to to gain some level of
1003. 2:44:55expertise you have to put in your 10,000 hours I think the 10,000 hour rule is dead there are some things maybe things
1004. 2:45:05that require physical dexterity where that's still there but with all this knowledge work and all this creative work if I
1005. 2:45:16spent a month intensely focused in the data analysis tool in GPT I could probably be decently world class at data
1006. 2:45:31analysis with with these images with uh I can't start the poll cuz cuz there's a a pinned image as soon as that that goes away I
1007. 2:45:47will start the poll there you go um with Ali we can be making images right now just by like whether You've
1008. 2:45:57Got Talent or not you can just take stupid ideas out of this conversation and turn them into these things that are
1009. 2:46:06that are good that are that that actually passed this Ira Glass test what are the implications of that that we as human beings are shifting
1010. 2:46:16from a mode where we have to spend years suffering having better taste than our ability to generate [ __ ] and all of a
1011. 2:46:28sudden overnight we can now generate things that meet or exceed our taste holy [ __ ] holy
1012. 2:46:44[ __ ] I hate writing but I'm over seven chapters into a book there you go [Laughter] Joker the implications Herod the
1013. 2:46:58implications are we can do what we actually enjoy what if rather than us entering a dystopian era where the robots are going to kill
1014. 2:47:09us what if we're entering an era where we can actually do the things that we enjoy well how do we get paid for that I
1015. 2:47:22don't know I don't know what work looks like I don't know what businesses look like at all because I think everything
1016. 2:47:30changes I think these kind of communities I think communities of individuals collaborating sharing [ __ ]

1020. 2:48:08plausible 3 to 5e technology like what I just described I want to do something completely out of the realm of my
1021. 2:48:18expertise but I always wanted to make a flying car well now you can or you'll be able to what if things got
1022. 2:48:30better what if these tools weren't just giving us more productivity so we could be a more efficient Cog in the wheel or in the machine
1023. 2:48:46what if they actually freed us from that machine what if these tools became the things that became the cogs
1024. 2:48:57in the machine and free us up to as Herod put it do what we really want to do what would we do it would probably
1025. 2:49:06look a lot different than what we're all doing today like I feel like I'm lucky on that front cuz I'm an entrepreneur and I'm 11
1026. 2:49:15years into a company that you know I wanted to start like I feel that's like of of all of the grind and and pain in
1027. 2:49:22the ass of running your own company at least what you can say is you're doing something that you intended
1028. 2:49:30to do right and I feel like that's a massive privilege what if more of us could do that more regularly 9010 rule used to be 90%
1029. 2:49:43figuring out how and 10% creative now that's reversed Source Camp that's [ __ ] huge that's [ __ ] huge n 90% used to be the figuring it

1039. 2:51:46all but I've successfully written a functional python application so it it sort of helped me Learn Python but it did the
1040. 2:52:01work I will issue everyone an inheritance of forgiveness money and teach you all how to slowly gain Traction in the
1041. 2:52:12marketplace hm I don't know what an inheritance of forgiveness money means are we here you can make money

1100. 3:03:05and then that comes back and then you take that dream analysis and maybe you turn that into some image prompts and
1101. 3:03:11you send that to open AI to generate some images and send that back and then you assemble all of them into an HTML
1102. 3:03:20email which chat GPT could write the HTML for that email and it'll send you an email so at night you wake up your phone there's
1103. 3:03:31your Google form you hit the little microphone button you talk your dream into it hit the submit button and go back to
1104. 3:03:38sleep you'd freak out if one day you came into your office and they were standing there oh we were all standing there road
