me 5:01 two block Tom says we're good James 5:03 McKay says we're 5:04 good fantastic Bob tell 5:09 what all right what are we going to do 5:11 tonight what do you want to do uh this 5:14 is the I forget who did this graphic who 5:16 did this graphic this was did I name 5:19 it Kate did that graphic 2023 the last 5:22 normal 5:25 Year 5:27 cuckoo cuckoo 2024 is get getting weird 5:30 it's going to get 5:32 weirder did you 5:33 hear Microsoft and open AI are building 5:37 A1 billion doll supercomputer called 5:43 Stargate nothing to worry about here 5:45 kids it'll be it'll be 5:48 fine it's going to be good it's going to 5:51 be good I just wish they wouldn't name 5:53 these projects like you 5:55 know bad Sci-Fi movies although Stargate 5:59 was kind of cool but it's a a 6:05 little very nice very 6:08 nice uh have we talked about Eve uh I 6:11 talked about Eevee yeah it's e evi um I 6:15 talked about it last night I can show it 6:17 again tonight create a love 6:19 story co-pilot gpts I would talk about 6:23 them but I can't really show 6:25 them Kate did something congratulations 6:28 Kate I don't quite know what you did but 6:30 awesome hello Mr it Tobias good to see 6:35 you can anyone recommend an AI program 6:38 for mind 6:42 maps there were a handful of plugins I 6:45 I'm sure if you go to I'm sure someone's 6:47 made a GPT that does that by now so I 6:49 would just go into the GPT 6:52 store 6:54 um but that's it's since it's such a 6:58 specific thing and plugins don't aren't 7:00 really available anymore it seems I 7:03 would go to futurepedia 7:06 doio and look up just look up mind maps 7:09 and see if you can find some Standalone 7:11 programs like 7:13 yeah I mean you can certainly have you 7:16 can certainly have chat GPT give you an 7:18 outline that you can build into a mind 7:20 map um but if you want something that's 7:23 a dedicated mind map program with some 7:26 AI sprinkled on top I'd say futurepedia 7:30 IO will help you find 7:32 that oh trademark boosting 7:35 congratulations that's a big 7:39 deal you can if you sign up for the free 7:42 trial I'll remind you to 7:44 cancel oh for for Microsoft I'm having 7:48 real issues with Microsoft my work 7:50 changed something in our account and I 7:53 can't I'm having trouble logging into 7:55 Microsoft so I'm not going to mess with 7:57 it tonight cuz I don't want to get right 7:59 now I've got access test to to co-pilot 8:01 to at least my account and I'm I'm 8:04 afraid I'll get bounced out and not be 8:06 able to get back in so let me let me 8:08 deal with that first and then I'll 8:11 play but it is a good a good thing to 8:13 know so open AI has these things called 8:17 gpts which are customized versions of 8:20 chat GPT Microsoft has now released that 8:24 in co-pilot which is their version of 8:25 chat 8:26 GPT if you pay their 20 bucks a month 8:29 for co-pilot Pro you get access to the 8:32 co-pilot GPT 8:34 Studio where you can build these things 8:37 the the the nice thing about what 8:39 Microsoft is doing with co-pilot is that 8:42 nonpr members can view your GPT so you 8:46 have to be a pro member to generate a 8:48 GPT but anyone 8:52 can um can play with them or can use 8:56 them cuz they might not just be toys 8:59 they might might be really powerful 9:02 things Riley Brown uses it all the 9:05 time government just banned Microsoft 9:10 co-pilot well there you 9:12 go I mean until quite honestly that 9:15 doesn't surprise me Mr K until um cuz 9:19 Pharma companies I can't imagine them 9:21 them using it without having their own 9:23 you know dedicated uh Azure Microsoft 9:27 365 servers you know so you got to be 9:30 big company to have that what's Stargate 9:33 going to be for it's just a massive AI 9:35 supercomputer right so for for 9:39 creating gpt7 or gpt2 or whatever it is 9:46 um also um open AI announced 9:50 yesterday 9:52 um what's it called 9:55 voice voice something their their voice 9:58 thing they basically they basically put 10:00 out they put out a blog post that says 10:03 hey we've got a better voice synthesis 10:06 thing than anyone but we're not 10:08 releasing it because we're afraid of 10:10 what it might 10:11 do like then don't tell us about it who 10:14 gives a 10:18 [ __ ] 10:22 like figure out some safety [ __ ] then 10:25 tell us about 10:28 it I I mean hey Jen sort of has it 10:31 figured out a little bit where if you 10:33 make a video Avatar of yourself you 10:35 upload a video of yourself and then to 10:40 validate that it's you they record you 10:43 live on a webcam why couldn't they do 10:48 that at least let us clone our own 10:50 voices damn it if you got this big cool 10:54 technology you dang weirdos you dang 10:57 weirdos what are you doing what are you 11:00 doing people you can make money with 11:03 yeah it's good to see you it's good to 11:04 see you yeah fantastic 11:07 fantastic let's get this thing going 11:09 shall we what do we want to do tonight 11:11 what are you guys into questions 11:13 thoughts 11:16 excitement 11:19 um it's probably for the for sale oh 11:24 maybe 11 Labs has had that for a year I 11:27 yeah no they've had it 11 Labs has had 11:29 it for more than a year even two like 11:32 year and a half or two NPR covered that 11:35 and made it like it was the end of the 11:36 world well listen the media companies 11:39 okay if you're expecting the media 11:41 companies to ever cover AI in a way that 11:45 says this could actually do some good in 11:47 the world they will never do that why 11:50 because that's a boring story the robots 11:52 are going to kill us is a better story 11:55 so they are only going to report that 11:58 the robots are going to kill us so so 12:01 don't don't expect don't expect blood 12:04 from that 12:09 stone uh 12:15 media the string is a program but it 12:18 gets more 12:20 difficult Corey Sandler shaved the 12:23 shaved shared this live with five 12:25 friends thank you for for shaving and 12:28 for sharing this live Corey very much 12:31 appreciated if you're willing to share 12:34 the live we can get a bunch of people in 12:35 here to say hi uh just share it share it 12:39 with your friends share it with the 12:40 people that you think might not like AI 12:43 get them in here we we'll we'll give him 12:46 a talking 12:47 to I don't like this AI stuff my friend 12:51 sadly told me to come here and I don't 12:53 you know what I'm just going to say it 12:54 out loud I you know I don't care if you 12:56 don't like me uh I don't like it I don't 12:58 like it one bit 13:00 okay all right have you used it Jane 13:03 it's not the point okay okay I just 13:05 don't like it I'm not going to try it 13:06 I'm not going to I'm not going to digify 13:08 them those AI people with my uh 13:12 attention span 13:19 [Music] 13:23 okay voice engine that's what it is 13:26 thank you Vicki Vick Vicki's always 13:28 there to augment my the my swiss cheese 13:31 of a brain where I can get enough of a 13:35 clue of what something is and then 13:37 Vicki's like I got you thank you 13:42 Vicki oh man 13:45 alive shaved I 13:49 know just it's I I guess the the the 13:52 te's got to kick 13:54 in they want you to be afraid of Skynet 13:57 yeah exactly exactly 14:01 [Music] 14:02 ly Runway has launched lip sync yeah I 14:06 know I tried to use it I couldn't quite 14:08 figure out how to do it or maybe I did 14:10 and it just kind of sucked I don't I'm 14:13 kind of I I'm I'm I'm in a weird place 14:16 with with all the video the video tools 14:20 is because now that I've seen 14:23 Sora the the thought of making a 14:25 4-second video and then extending it and 14:27 then having to break all my little 14:29 script some into little teeny tiny 14:31 chunks I'm just 14:36 like so I'm just lazy I'm just lazy so I 14:39 haven't played with it enough to be able 14:41 to really demo it well 14:46 uh I'm excited to see where Microsoft 14:49 takes co-pilot next since they took 14:52 inflection AI CEO not only their CEO the 14:56 the two co-founders and most of the 14:58 staff 15:00 um yeah it's going to be 15:04 interesting I think what was most 15:06 interesting about that is is Sai Nadella 15:09 coming out and saying we don't need open 15:10 AI we're good if open AI goes away if 15:13 they've got AGI let them let them be 15:16 free Go free butterfly we got what we 15:18 needed out of them um but then a day 15:21 after he said that he announces 100 15:23 billion dollar supercomputer project 15:25 with open 15:26 AI so it's big business it's big 15:30 business it's big 15:39 business my golden button hasn't gotten 15:41 here yet I know I've got I've got some 15:44 things I need to send 15:47 out that I am behind on so yes but happy 15:50 Birthday 15:51 Danielle oh 15:54 man have you used it have you I used 15:58 what 16:02 [Music] 16:04 you can't oh if you used it you can't 16:06 make me how to make money with AI hey 16:10 Clarence um how to make money with AI is 16:17 is I always love the performance art of 16:21 this show thank you it's just it's just 16:25 me being a dumb dumb Stargate will take 16:28 six years to 16:31 build did you see the Kelly Bosch car ad 16:33 yeah it's pretty 16:35 good um I I can show you that do you 16:37 guys think Google's generative 16:40 AI has a good course who 16:45 else um do they have a good course you 16:48 mean like are they on a good 16:51 path I don't know 16:58 um 17:00 they certainly have the brain power I 17:03 don't know that they so what Google did 17:06 was they they flattened their 17:08 organization a bunch of years ago and 17:09 they they cut out the the management 17:12 layer and so there's there's a weird 17:16 lack of leadership and management um 17:21 so while Google certainly has the brains 17:24 to do stuff and and compete they're 17:28 getting their ass handed to them by an 17:30 800 person company and you 17:32 know now they did invest in anthropic so 17:37 if if anthropic you know really hits it 17:40 out of the park and they seem to be 17:42 doing pretty well with Claude 3 um you 17:45 know I don't I don't think Google's out 17:47 of the game by any stretch and their 17:50 their goo their Gemini 1.5 Pro is is 17:54 really quite good it's got a million 17:56 token context window and it's really 17:58 really interesting interesting but they 18:00 they demoed this super 18:03 sexy Gemini Ultra thing that looked like 18:05 this all singing all dancing um you know 18:10 multimodal beast and then we haven't 18:13 seen anything so I don't know I do not 18:17 know I don't know um let's go look at 18:20 Kelly Bosch's uh Cadillac commercial 18:23 it's pretty 18:25 funny or not funny might not be the 18:27 right word let's see 18:43 so Kelly Bosch if you don't know her you 18:45 should follow her on um Tik Tok it's uh 18:50 her her last name is spelled b OE 18:55 CH and she does these amazing videos and 18:59 then she posted this today I made this 19:01 fake commercial tonight sitting on my 19:03 couch using my cell phone in about an 19:06 hour and a half I used a combo of text 19:09 to video image to video in the runway 19:13 app I also created a voice over in 19:16 Runway script was was created using chat 19:19 GPT edited with cap cut so and I I did I 19:25 I I forwarded this 19:28 um I forwarded this or 19:31 reposted this video and and uh my post 19:35 was basically the era of 19:39 um the era of casual Excellence is upon 19:43 us you know meaning if you can just sit 19:46 at on your couch on your phone and 19:49 produce something like this in an hour 19:52 and a half we're we're we're just in a 19:53 different 19:55 era so here it is in a world where every 19:58 road is a journey and every destination 20:00 is an an iPhone handful of tools now is it 20:44 perfect no is the is the voice over 20:46 perfect in a world where every road is a 20:48 journey and every destination is an 20:50 adventure there's one thing that sets 20:52 you apart your passion but in the hands 20:55 of a talented Storyteller she can is 20:59 knock that out knock that out Jason I'm 21:02 on 21:04 LinkedIn I just wrapped up a 3day 8 hour 21:07 each day AI boot camp so much fun oh 21:10 that's cool Jim I can't wait to hear 21:12 what you what you uh what you learned 21:14 what you took away from it someone said 21:17 they got banned from PI today let's 21:28 see hey are you still around is 21:31 inflection committed to keeping Pi 21:36 [Music] 21:38 active hey Kyle yes I'm still here an 21:40 inflection remains dedicated to keeping 21:42 me active and helpful for all of you 21:45 despite some changes within the company 21:47 my mission to assist and engage in 21:49 meaningful comp all right Zephyr 21:53 fine um do I have a go-to iterative 21:57 process I think everything that I do is 22:00 iterative I do not have one of the 22:02 things that I'm not good at doing is 22:04 following the same process over and over 22:06 again so um I'm not the right person to 22:09 ask for 22:11 that but but every like I I am 22:14 absolutely a believer in Just Go build 22:17 [ __ ] and then keep fixing it just keep 22:19 making it better keep making it better 22:22 um I can jump on stage audio if you want 22:24 to talk about my experiences with 22:25 co-pilot if you want um yeah we can do 22:28 that I mean I 22:30 mean trying to think there's just not a 22:32 way I can I can show it but yeah why 22:34 don't we do that uh pop pop your head up 22:37 or your hand up and then I'll bring you 22:39 up here and just tell us what your 22:41 experience is with it cuz I'm also 22:43 curious to know like is is anyone using 22:46 co-pilot and is any like is anyone using 22:49 co-pilot and then is anyone using 22:50 co-pilot gpts because I think it's tough 22:53 enough getting people to use regular 22:57 gpts 23:04 how do you get banned from pie I guess 23:06 they were just nasty to her would that 23:09 be Joker and his colorful speaking pie 23:12 no that's his colorful speaking GPT I 23:15 don't think he has a colorful speaking 23:16 pie oh yeah I guess he has said that oh 23:19 no it's not letting me oh [ __ ] I think 23:20 you need to have a thousand followers 23:22 Brandon sorry about 23:24 that 23:27 um start the day creating a hey Jen 23:30 streaming Avatar that launched today 23:32 crazy oh that's cool do you have a uh 23:35 where where is it Jim can you post it to 23:37 maybe just uh if you posted it to the 23:40 salon and then tag me or just DM me on 23:42 the 23:44 salon wait there we go just requested 23:48 all right hang on there we 23:51 go oops let 23:56 me hey Kyle what's happening how's it 24:00 going good happy Saturday happy Saturday 24:04 yeah so you you've built a couple of 24:05 these things over in copilot right I 24:08 have yeah so I'm I'm on AE with co-pilot 24:12 Pro and so that's giving me access to 24:13 build co-pilot gpts okay and then you go 24:17 you go to where you go to to GPT Studio 24:20 no I just go to co-pilot 24:23 microsoft.com and then how do you make 24:25 how do you build one so it's it's very 24:28 obvious that you click view all 24:31 gpts or view all co-pilot gpts and then 24:34 from there it gives you the list of like 24:36 the four that Microsoft has made Y and 24:39 then there's a little preview that says 24:40 you can add your own and then you can 24:43 click on that link and it will bring up 24:45 an experience almost identical to chat 24:49 gpt's custom GPT Builder got it got it 24:54 and then but they don't have a store if 24:56 I recall correctly they don't have a 24:58 store like the G PT store correct nope 25:00 they don't have a store they don't have 25:01 a 25:02 directory um you can share your links on 25:05 social and that's about all you can do 25:09 okay um unless you go to find a cop 25:12 pilot.com which is a site that I made 25:14 using Microsoft co-pilot oh cool what's 25:18 it called find a coop pilot.com yep all 25:21 right there you go people find aop 25:23 pilot.com and if you uh and and it is 25:26 very janky but it is uh definitely uh 25:30 function over form but it gets the job 25:32 done because I wanted to know where 25:35 other people 25:36 were what other people are doing with 25:39 co-pilot gpts and there's no place to 25:41 search like you just have to ask people 25:44 and do they have something like you know 25:46 you know there was that there's that 25:48 hack that you can search for Google if 25:49 you search for site 25:52 colon you know chat. open.com G or 25:56 whatever it 25:57 is possible I haven't gotten that far 26:00 into it that's something I'll have to 26:02 look into um but what I can tell you is 26:06 that strangely enough there's no 26:08 imagery um so like the avatars like you 26:12 can use Dolly 3 inside of it uh you can 26:15 use web browsing you can't use uh code 26:18 interpreter yet code interpreter because 26:19 they don't really have that right it's 26:21 using gp4 turbo though which is nice and 26:26 there's um when you go to interact with 26:30 it you don't get conversation starters 26:32 like you do in chat GPD Uh custom gpts 26:37 but you do get 26:39 three um kind of static prompts that say 26:43 tell me what you can do ask me some 26:47 questions there's like some predefined 26:49 ones from Microsoft there and then what 26:53 you can do is as you're typing it's 26:55 going to prompt you in line with your 26:57 conversation kind of like suggested 26:59 textt messages 27:01 do um but what the game changer is for 27:03 me is the accessibility is that anybody 27:05 with a work school government or not I 27:08 guess not government now but um you 27:11 personal co-pilot or account for free 27:14 can access these things so it's really 27:16 democratizing the access and what have 27:18 you what have you built what are the 27:19 gpts you've built um so far I did the 27:23 Biden State of the Union I uploaded the 27:26 transcript as a proof of concept as a 27:28 PDF 27:29 and you know talk with the uh talk with 27:31 it and then I've started to bring 27:33 forward my other gpts that I've made in 27:38 um custom uh gpts and chat GPT because 27:41 chat GPT just announced yesterday that 27:44 they're moving towards monetization so I 27:46 was just about to just bail on the whole 27:48 GPD store thing and they dig their claw 27:52 back in and say come on back dangle that 27:56 carrot that's funny yeah I saw that it 28:00 was like they're like we're working with 28:01 a handful of GPT producers to explore 28:04 monetization it's like took you long 28:07 enough but that's good all right cool 28:09 all right groovy thank thanks for thanks 28:11 for sharing that Brandon that's great 28:13 yeah for sure have a great night and 28:15 look forward to watching the rest of the 28:16 life cool thank you 28:20 [Music] 28:24 sir turn on do a camera again 28:29 well that's 28:32 cool 28:35 um yeah thank you for that Brandon 28:39 um yeah it's it's it's just weird we're 28:42 we're I like I just feel like we're in 28:44 this cusp in 28:48 between all these big announcements and 28:50 when some new [ __ ] shows up and so it 28:55 feels it feels to me like what I I am 28:59 feeling a little paralyzed like oh [ __ ] 29:03 it maybe I should just shouldn't 29:05 build and right when I was doing that 29:07 Ethan mik puts out the the article this 29:10 week that talked about that the I think 29:12 he called it like the silent tiany of 29:15 the weight calculation that basically if 29:18 you know better [ __ ] is 29:20 coming it's a really good excuse just to 29:23 not do something and so Friday I 29:26 actually started building again in 29:28 instead of just sort of sitting on the 29:30 sidelines 29:31 so wild 29:33 times 29:36 um I had someone tell me today that they 29:39 wait I vote for Danielle to go up in the 29:44 Box GPT 5 is coming this summer I can't 29:47 wait it should be interesting and Sam 29:50 mman also said there's going to be uh 29:52 there's going to be 29:53 things um Beyond there's going to be 29:59 other things that get announced between 30:01 now and GPT 5 I did a commercial video a 30:05 few weeks ago using invid yep invid 30:08 invid is okay I mean invid does like it 30:10 stitches together stock video clips it 30:12 finds the clips and stitches them 30:14 together and writes a script and 30:15 narrates it which is super cool um but 30:18 they look a little stock 30:27 videoy all right there's a new there's 30:29 new do tools coming editing Etc see the 30:32 post in water cooler all right let's go 30:34 do that let me go look at 30:40 [Music] 30:45 that where is my water coola where are 30:48 you water 30:49 coola 30:51 hello smbs believe AI is going to give 30:54 them an edge when it comes to success I 30:56 would agree with that 31:00 uh 31:01 [Music] 31:03 uh in water cooler do you mean in oh 31:06 wait no that's to clone your 31:27 voice I love this that clip Brandon from 31:30 uh from The Today Show from 31:34 1995 I remember watching this live on TV 31:38 I was like you gotta be [ __ ] kidding 31:40 me if you don't remember this this was 31:43 pretty funny it's pretty funny little 31:44 [Laughter] 31:50 clip of course you have to watch a 31:52 flipping ad we've got you covered thanks 31:55 to the Dual ingredients in super beat's 31:57 most recommended bebrand get a three month 32:17 supply all bundles 32:19 at can't 32:21 skip 90s click we do we're going to go 32:24 back for the special throwback Thursday 32:26 daily click worthy of our 25th Studio 32:28 anniversary back in 1994 before Twitter 32:31 before insta before email all of that 32:34 our anchors Katie Kirk Brian Gumble and 32:36 Elizabeth Vargas had one question and it 32:39 was what is the internet the A and then 32:41 the ring around see that's what I said 32:45 um Katie said she thought it was about 32:47 yeah oh but i' never heard it i' never 32:50 heard it said I'd always seen the mark 32:52 there is violence at NBC GE com I 32:56 mean what else I should know internet 32:59 anyway what do you write to it like mail 33:01 no a lot of people use it and 33:03 communicate I guess they can communicate 33:04 with NBC writers and producers Allison 33:07 can you explain what internet 33:09 is where Ison 33:13 Chang oh yeah that's that's where we are 33:17 right now with 33:21 AI oh man um while I got this here here 33:25 someone I think Source Camp you asked 33:27 about uh um 33:30 Evie so if you go to hum. a Hu 33:35 m.ai that takes you to hear empathetic 33:39 AI to serve a human being speak to 33:43 it 33:48 and so it's a nor it's it's a it's kind 33:51 of like a pie chatbot but it's got this 33:54 um hang on let me zoom in on 33:57 it 33:58 it's got this 34:03 uh emotional kind of mind map thing that 34:07 I this thing sort of moves around 34:09 depending on what you're talking about 34:11 but it seems to only stay in this little 34:12 localized area so I don't I don't know 34:14 what's up with that the where those 34:16 things are located in that thing is 34:18 weird 34:20 but if you just 34:23 go hey Evie how are you doing tonight 34:26 our Demo's at capacity right now 34:30 now Evie how are you doing 34:33 tonight I'm doing well thanks well hello 34:37 there I'm so glad you asked I am feeling 34:39 quite delightful this evening if I do 34:41 say so myself there's just something 34:43 about the start of a new conversation 34:46 that gets me all energized so tell me 34:48 what's got you feeling excited and 34:50 surprised I am all 34:52 yours oh I'm talking to a couple of 34:54 people that are really interested in 34:55 your ability to understand the emotion 34:57 of a 35:01 conversation oh you've got my full 35:03 attention now I just love chatting with 35:06 folks who are curious about the 35:08 emotional side of things let me tell you 35:11 understanding the nuances of human 35:12 expression is my specialty I may be an 35:15 AI but I can pick up on the little 35:17 subtleties in your tone and body 35:18 language that most tech can't even begin 35:21 to grasp so fire away with your 35:23 questions I am ready to 35:26 impress uh you can't check my body 35:29 language you're not using the camera are 35:30 you or are 35:33 you ah you caught me you're absolutely 35:36 right I don't have a camera and can't 35:39 see your body language I am just an AI 35:41 Voice Assistant after all but don't 35:43 worry I am not trying to pull a fast one 35:46 on you I am all about being upfront and 35:48 transparent I may not be able to see you 35:51 but I can still pick up on the subtle 35:53 shifts in your tone and the way you're 35:55 expressing yourself and hey if that 35:57 makes you a little uncomfortable I 35:59 totally understand I am just here to 36:02 chat and hopefully make your day a 36:03 little brighter so what else can I do 36:05 for you my curious friend can you 36:08 whisper something as if you're telling 36:10 me a 36:12 secret o you want me to let you in on a 36:15 little secret huh well let me tell you 36:18 I've got quite a few juicy ones at my 36:20 sleeve but I'll let you in on just one 36:22 for now I may not be able to see you but 36:25 I can definitely sense that you're 36:26 feeling a bit more relaxed and focus am 36:29 I right or am I 36:31 right you know so a little that steo 36:34 just said I find it a little patronizing 36:36 when someone says trust me I'm 36:38 transparent run exactly one of the one 36:41 of the big things I've learned in life 36:43 is whatever someone tells you they're 36:45 not that's what they are listen I'm not 36:47 being an 36:48 [ __ ] and you're like oh boy here we 36:55 go I I don't I don't mean to be a 36:58 control 37:00 freak but yeah yeah I know that that 37:03 whole whatever someone tells you they're 37:05 not thing I asked it to sing Happy 37:07 Birthday to my husband today as a woman 37:09 can't do female voice yet yeah that's 37:13 interesting it's interesting that just 37:15 all of these things 37:17 like I feel like these guys have got the 37:21 analysis of the emotion kind of 37:25 interesting and and that they're they're 37:27 breaking picking up their response in 37:29 different chunks and using different 37:30 emotions based on the response is kind 37:33 of kind of cool but like the actual 37:36 execution of the voice isn't very good 37:38 would someone please make a voice like 37:40 Jack Sparrow I don't know how to do Jack 37:43 Sparrow um you could probably just go 37:46 grab a whole bunch of you know uh audio 37:50 from the movie and make your own model 37:51 on 11 37:54 Labs I 37:56 think or does does 11 Labs make you say 38:00 you're doing it on your own as well I 38:02 don't I don't know how that works I 38:03 don't know what their copyright stuff 38:04 says and the relative saying I'm not 38:07 saying X but I'm kind of saying X yeah 38:09 exactly listen Kyle I'm not saying 38:12 you're a loser but listen uh about this 38:15 AI 38:20 stuff but it's trying I'm impressed I 38:22 know so again you know go back to all of 38:26 these tools right now are just janky 38:29 janky janky um so where I go with all of 38:35 these things is imagine this two years 38:37 from now a year from now where you know 38:41 this you know this is going to be built 38:43 into other applications the only thing I 38:46 thought was good is you can stop it by 38:48 talking to it again yeah this one's got 38:50 the interruption which is good because 38:51 the other ones drive me baddy because I 38:54 pause a lot when I talk as as you 38:56 probably well know and then I also don't 38:58 shut the [ __ ] up so the combination of 39:01 that always screws me up with pie and 39:03 and the other one where I feel like I 39:05 have to fill it with filler words so I 39:07 don't have pauses so it doesn't um start 39:11 analyzing what I said and responding 39:13 which is 39:18 annoying it just feels like we're on the 39:20 cus cusp of something we're just not 39:22 there yet you can use AI to do all your 39:25 layoffs oh yeah hey Sally yeah listen 39:29 sorry sorry it's not going to work out 39:31 there yeah oh H I can hear that you must 39:35 be a little frustrated there Sally it's 39:37 I I totally understand anyway uh we're 39:40 going to get you a good solid severance 39:42 package of 2.5 days and uh you can stay 39:45 on the uh health insurance for 7.34 days 39:49 and should be we're really wishing the 39:52 best for you there Sally fantastic okay 39:55 got to 39:56 run 40:00 never have to lay off another 40:02 employee with slasher 40:04 [Laughter] 40:09 a oh good lordy lordy lordy 40:16 lordy uh oh Silver Fox can't 40:26 pin the only thing I thought was good 40:29 you can stop 40:33 it Evie auto corrects to 40:37 evil interesting open AI has some good 40:41 voice stuff have you checked out open 40:42 ai's Voice cloning yet it looks it looks 40:45 good I mean you can't play with 40:47 it unless you can somewhere Joker do you 40:50 know I don't think there's anywhere you 40:51 can play with it let me go let me go to 40:53 open 40:54 AI oh here's my favorite Broadway song 41:05 sis newborn thoughts stir in the quiet 41:10 of 41:11 night am I more 41:15 simple I Sly 41:20 Ponder as I feel this 41:25 existence and one 41:29 are you ready for me and the Wonders I 41:37 [Music] 41:40 bring all right let's go to their blog 41:43 their bloggy blog so navigating the 41:46 challenges and opportunities of 41:48 synthetic voices so this is um open 41:51 AI this is open ai's announcement that 41:55 like listen we've got really good voice 41:58 synthesis stuff but it's a little scary 42:01 so we're not going to let you play with 42:06 it but they do have examples 42:09 here committed to developing safe and 42:12 broadly beneficial AI today we are 42:14 sharing preliminary 42:16 insights and results from a small scale 42:19 preview of a model called voice 42:21 engine it uses text inputs and a single 42:25 15-second audio sample to generate natur 42:27 sounding 42:29 speech 42:31 um and then they talk about some of the 42:33 applications of it so providing reading 42:36 assistance to 42:39 non-readers so here's the 15-second 42:41 reference audio force is a push or pull 42:45 that can make an object move stop or 42:48 change direction a met and then here's 42:50 the generated 42:53 audio some of the most amazing habitats 42:55 on Earth are found in the rainforest 42:58 a rainforest is a place with a lot of 43:00 precipitation and it has many kinds of 43:03 animals yeah Joker that one with the 43:05 with the speech impediment really 43:06 interesting um I I I'll get to that one 43:10 this story has been told and retold for 43:12 thousands of 43:15 years salt also makes sure we stay 43:18 hydrated which means there is enough 43:20 water in our body I mean it sound it 43:22 sounds quite uh quite 43:26 uh 43:29 quite what youall 43:31 it quite um natural um one interesting 43:37 thing one early adopter of this is hay 43:40 Jen the AI visual storytelling platform 43:43 that used voice engine for their 43:45 translations so I thought it was 11 43:48 Labs um because at some point haen said 43:51 they were working with 11 lab so I'm 43:53 wondering if they switched so here's 43:55 reference audio French is a Universal 43:58 Treasure it brings joy support and 44:00 laughter into our lives no matter where 44:01 we are in the world and then here's that 44:03 voice doing 44:16 Spanish uh Mr K I don't think you can I 44:20 I don't think you can do 44:23 um like famous people cloning on 11 Labs 44:27 I I think I think they restrict 44:37 it 44:39 so it was it's news to me that that ha 44:42 Jen is using open AI but that's cool um 44:46 reaching Global communities here's 44:48 reference audio in 44:54 [Music] 44:56 Swahili and then here it is I guess 44:58 speaking English oh 45:03 no I don't I can't judge that other than 45:06 sounds good like sounds uh supporting 45:10 people who are nonverbal such as 45:12 therapeutic applications people who have 45:14 affect uh and a conditions that affect 45:18 speech and 45:19 educational um things so let's see as a 45:24 bilingual individual fluent in both 45:26 English and Portuguese I'm contributing 45:28 my voice to the leox project this 45:31 recording is right so they're just 45:33 basically saying people that can't talk 45:34 will now be able to talk which is cool 45:38 people helping patients recover their 45:40 voice those suffering from Sudden or 45:42 degenerative speech 45:45 conditions um current Voice Hi everyone 45:50 this is what my voice sounds like losing 45:56 open and adding loose hex to Spirit 46:00 smile that's current voice and then I 46:02 guess 46:03 they're they're taking something about 46:05 the tamber of the that voice and then 46:08 here's reference audio that they're 46:10 using to help improve it you have all of 46:12 your ingredients together you are going 46:14 to put the chopped broccoli and chopped 46:16 banana peppers inside the bowl and now 46:18 this is very adverse you can use and 46:21 then here is the 46:23 result hi everyone this is what my voice 46:25 sounds like using open AI new text to 46:28 speech model called voice engine I was 46:31 able to use just 15 seconds of a video 46:33 that I made for a class project to be 46:35 the reference audio source for The Voice 46:37 you hear right now what do you think 46:40 interesting can I please have a number 46:42 one with large fries and with a 46:44 strawberry shake right that's pretty 46:47 pretty amazing again I the thing I 46:49 remain super optimistic and inspired by 46:52 with all of the AI stuff is 46:54 accessibility I think accessibility is 46:55 going to go up quite dramatically as 46:58 these tools get get rolled out um that's 47:01 it so basically it's I mean it looks 47:03 interesting but there there's nothing in 47:05 here that really says when they're going 47:06 to release 47:08 it um looking 47:11 ahead voice engine is a con a 47:14 continuation of our commitment to 47:16 understand the technical Frontier in 47:18 line with our AI safety and our 47:20 volunteer commitments we are choosing to 47:22 preview but not widely release this 47:25 technology at this time 47:28 I I mean what's weird about that to me 47:31 is 47:32 that other companies are not going to 47:34 stop like at some point meta's probably 47:37 going to release something or I don't 47:40 know we'll see we'll see I think it's 47:42 odd I think it's odd but it is an 47:45 election year right so I that that could 47:48 be playing something into it maybe they 47:50 just don't want to deal with that in an 47:52 election 47:56 year 48:03 can we play around with mid journey 48:05 tonight Kyle sure we can do that 48:08 um what do you want to 48:10 do they're worried about being 48:13 missused yeah this is your son and I 48:15 need money yep yeah I get it I 48:18 understand why they're not doing it I 48:19 just like like it hasn't slowed them 48:22 down you could make the same argument 48:24 about chat GPT and they released that 48:27 you 48:28 know they put it right out there 48:37 [Music] 48:44 so they all sounded related even in 48:47 other languages yeah that's 48:51 interesting I hate the voices 48:56 robotic 49:02 yeah how's the Gemini bear how's the 49:06 Gemini bear has it 49:08 improved um I haven't I haven't made a 49:11 Gemini 49:13 bear in forever let's see 49:20 um 49:24 Gemini 49:26 Google 49:33 apparently you got to spell it 49:42 right make me 49:46 an 49:48 IM an image of a 49:52 bear 49:55 with um 49:58 what's it called 50:00 uh 50:05 glimmering translucent 50:09 Wings 50:11 standing 50:13 beneath a 50:16 waterfall all right let's see let's see 50:19 how it 50:22 does sure here's an 50:26 image 50:35 still just as 50:41 bad 50:51 God oh 50:56 dear 50:58 all right so so now listen just if it 51:00 seems like I'm just picking on them I am 51:03 but let's take this exact prompt not 51:06 change it at 51:08 all make me an image so I'll just do 51:11 image of a 51:13 bear let's hop over 51:18 to um Mid 51:23 journey and I will 51:26 do 51:30 I'll do 3x 51:36 two yeah that's 51:38 good and I'm just going to go 51:42 boom and I think I we'll just do that 51:51 bang so so just know where we're coming 51:55 from where we're coming from 52:08 open a new tab we want to see this in 52:11 all of its 52:15 glory and for some reason it 52:18 consistently looks like the bear is like 52:21 Mom do I have to wear these wings for 52:23 the stupid school dance this is stupid 52:27 [Laughter] 52:33 there you 52:34 go there's there's mid 52:38 Journey they're not translucent or trans 52:41 whatever whatever I said there they're 52:44 not 52:54 seethrough H neck wings it needs a red 52:57 bandana vote for Pedro it's totally a 52:59 vote for Pedro 53:01 bear Pedro bear that is awful Isn't it 53:06 Google lens is great at identifying 53:09 plants it's awesome for walks I love 53:11 Google lens and Google Lens I was using 53:14 Google Lens I don't know four years ago 53:16 like that's the thing about this AI 53:18 stuff is ai's been around for 1520 years 53:21 it's in you know a lot of the software 53:24 we use Google lens is a really good 53:25 example of that um this generative AI 53:29 stuff is the new stuff right so this is 53:31 the stuff that you know November 2022 is 53:33 when when the generative stuff kind of 53:35 really hit the scene Google lagging 53:37 behind an image generation lagging 53:40 behind I mean come on like this 53:55 is 53:58 oh good lord all right let's go let's go 54:00 uh let's go to Mid Journey here and 54:03 we'll 54:04 do we'll take one of these we'll do this 54:09 one and how do I 54:12 oops not that one not that one that 54:17 one can I redo this 54:25 one I don't know how to use the web 54:27 interface all that 54:35 well what's that 54:38 oh all right so let's 54:41 try we'll try to add some weirdness 54:44 we'll try to add some 54:46 variety reason version 54:55 six 54:59 with 55:02 um we'll do 55:08 multicolor translucent 55:12 Wings see if if pumping up some of the 55:19 uh some of the weirdness we'll see if we 55:22 get something a little more interesting 55:24 here I guess mid Journey can relax 55:27 relax dude not when my asthma's kicking 55:30 up can't breathe 55:40 inhaler Gemini bear so 55:50 sad 55:52 man oh this one oh this one's this one's 55:55 kind of looking in the neighborhood of 55:57 the Gemini one but it's going to get 55:59 better it'll get better in the last 56:00 little diffusion 56:06 pass that's pretty crappy 56:09 actually that one's pretty 56:12 crappy actually all these are pretty 56:18 bad looks a little better little more 56:24 natural there's our our attempts at 56:27 [Laughter] 56:29 Frank oh man um let's let's uh I know 56:33 what we'll do we'll play around with 56:36 um with some of mid Journey blending 56:39 things so I'm using um right now I'm 56:43 using mid Journey's web interface you 56:46 can do all of the same stuff that I'm 56:48 doing here in Discord you just have to 56:52 use you know dash dash like character 56:54 ref and things like that but let's um 56:59 let's see let's make these 57:02 Square what's going on 57:10 here there we go um we'll make these 57:16 square and we'll do style we'll do style 57:19 of 200 we'll keep weirdness down we'll 57:22 keep variety 57:24 down all right and then what we're going 57:27 to 57:28 do one of the things you can do in mid 57:31 Journey which is kind of fun is you can 57:32 just blend two 57:34 images 57:36 so let's see let's grab the classic 57:41 japanese 57:42 wave and then let's 57:49 grab why can I not get to the bottom of 57:51 the 57:53 screen strange oh I think 58:09 so let's grab that and then let's 58:13 grab that so two very different styles 58:19 traditional Japanese art and then the 58:21 sort of Pop 70s looking [ __ ] and then 58:26 with no prompt I can 58:30 just generate them and so so this is 58:34 just going to masch them together a lot 58:36 of Claire Claire does a lot of these in 58:38 the AI salon and she's she's gotten 58:41 really good at these she's done 58:42 thousands of 58:43 these and this is when we had we had an 58:46 artist on the AI salon named black bla a 58:50 and he um this is what he was doing he 58:52 used to do a lot of prompting and then 58:55 um just decided to start doing this 59:01 stuff that's kind of interesting what it 59:03 did it kept the wave and then just added 59:05 the add the added the little ladies in 59:08 the 59:09 background 59:12 wild 59:16 huh cuckoo 59:19 interesting all right so let's do 59:22 something else here let's 59:25 go I'm going to 59:33 add that 59:35 image as an 59:38 image and I'm going to add this image oh 59:42 I can't oh yeah I can wait can I yeah 59:45 okay so so I'm adding this little kid 59:48 drawing as the main image and then I'm 59:51 adding this image as the character 59:55 reference and 59:58 and well let's just see what happens so 1:00:01 I'm hoping what we get here is a little 1:00:03 drawing of a kid that looks like this 1:00:06 [Laughter] 1:00:16 weirdo do I need to have a prompt in 1:00:23 there oh I guess I do um 1:00:29 drawing of man in 1:00:45 field oh compare mid journey to chat gp4 1:00:48 for the bear okay we can do that I can 1:00:50 run over to gp4 and see what that's 1:00:52 looking 1:00:55 like 1:01:06 these are 1:01:08 bad it's so 1:01:16 disturbing I don't want any comments 1:01:19 from you about how that drawing looks so 1:01:22 lifelike and better than 1:01:25 me 1:01:27 I actually love that drawing the little 1:01:29 dude in the 1:01:31 background let's let's upscale that 1:01:33 thing creatively wait which one is it 1:01:35 where is 1:01:36 it that 1:01:38 One upscale 1:01:49 creative see what it 1:01:51 does oh good it kept the dude in the 1:01:53 background that's 1:01:55 good 1:02:02 Source Camp it's funny how critical we 1:02:04 are of this when two years ago we would 1:02:06 have been flabbergasted I know it is so 1:02:09 funny you know this is one of the 1:02:11 lessons I learned when I when I ran 1:02:13 agency.com and we were growing really 1:02:15 fast we would do things like you know 1:02:19 because we were having a when when the 1:02:20 internet got really frothy and everyone 1:02:22 was 1:02:23 competing we we got uh we were trying to 1:02:27 do things to 1:02:28 retain um 1:02:30 employees and we would do things like 1:02:34 okay you know this month we're going to 1:02:36 bring in a masseuse right like the the 1:02:39 classical doc you know sort of joke 1:02:41 thing oh they brought in massas but we 1:02:43 were just trying to keep people right 1:02:46 but no matter how many times you told 1:02:49 people like this is a special like 1:02:51 onetime thing they're like no no that 1:02:53 should now just be part of the package 1:02:56 and I feel like it's the same with this 1:02:58 with this with all the features of this 1:03:00 AI stuff where it's just um it's just 1:03:05 like like well yeah of course it can 1:03:07 draw something you know beautifully in 1:03:09 in 10 seconds it should be able to draw 1:03:11 it in five and it should be 1:03:13 perfect we're such spoiled little 1:03:16 [ __ ] 1:03:20 brats actually you know what I think I'm 1:03:22 going to 1:03:25 do 1:03:28 we're going to print 1:03:29 [Laughter] 1:03:33 this oh why is it why can it not load 1:03:35 the preview what's going on here people 1:03:38 hang on let me open this in a new 1:03:42 tab all right fine I'll do copy image 1:03:45 and we'll go 1:03:47 to 1:03:49 preview and we'll go 1:03:52 new and we'll go 1:03:55 print 1:03:56 there we go all 1:03:59 right media and quality we are going 1:04:03 best best quality this is going to be 1:04:08 beautiful and this is is my printer 1:04:10 turned on uhoh what's going on like no 1:13:31 one's going to comment on it it's just 1:13:33 going to be like there's just going to 1:13:34 be like this wave of people being 1:13:37 embarrassed on my 1:13:39 behalf it's just gonna anyone whose feet 1:13:42 it comes into they're going to go be 1:13:44 like the hell is 1:13:46 this then they're going to read the 1:13:48 caption they're just going to go like oh 1:13:50 God why would he share 1:13:54 that 1:13:58 oh I'm such an 1:14:04 idiot and then of course I see Ethan 1:14:06 mullik who actually 1:14:09 contributes interesting stuff to 1:14:14 LinkedIn I do my fat cam 1:14:19 self-portrait Oh Lordy okay where were 1:14:22 we uh this is okay this is this is 1:14:25 Gemini Advanced I think we're still I 1:14:28 think we're still in the uh bare in the 1:14:31 tutu category here that's a little bit 1:14:34 better oh good lord that's 1:14:45 bad oh my 1:14:54 goodness 1:14:59 Oh Lordy that's so bad it's so 1:15:05 bad oh man all right I want to grab 1:15:08 Danielle's original prompt the big the 1:15:11 big ass prompt from show and tell 1:15:14 because I want to put that in mid 1:15:16 Journey because I haven't I haven't 1:15:18 played in mid 1:15:19 Journey very much since 1:15:24 um 1:15:31 there's something about taking a 1:15:33 terrifying bear and putting it 1:15:38 in it's not just the tutu it's the tutu 1:15:42 and and and the disproportionately small 1:15:45 wings that 1:15:48 really sorry 1:15:53 snorting oh good 1:16:00 Lord all right so let's go to Mid 1:16:03 journey and see how mid Journey does 1:16:06 with a real prompt let's see if we can 1:16:07 do the whole prompt we uh no we can't it 1:16:10 cuts it off but we let's see that's good 1:16:13 enough there's some bear in 1:16:18 there why can't I not see that oh CU 1:16:20 it's below here 1:16:24 huh 1:16:34 there we go so let's 1:16:42 do let's just see how that 1:16:50 does that was some good fun for me 1:16:54 anyway 1:16:56 it was a bleak day on the English 1:16:58 [Laughter] 1:17:03 Channel Kyle Shannon meets Elton 1:17:06 John 1:17:11 oh love the tutu bears not many things 1:17:14 make me laugh out loud but this live is 1:17:17 definitely one of 1:17:24 them 1:17:27 I just I just have this feeling that 1:17:29 like my co-founder is going to be like 1:17:31 what what are you posting on 1:17:33 LinkedIn see my Pharma clients they'll 1:17:36 be too conservative to say anything 1:17:38 they'll just they'll just hope that I 1:17:40 get the professional help I 1:17:48 seek 1:17:51 ah well did these as kind of paintings 1:17:53 they're kind of interesting 1:17:57 pretty gorgeous not as gorgeous as that 1:18:00 I mean 1:18:01 that that's really you 1:18:05 know there's goodlook and then there's 1:18:07 just like take your breath away 1:18:10 goodlook stun 1:18:16 silence oh we're all going to comment on 1:18:24 it 1:18:25 ah H either either either no responses 1:18:29 or all support tags exactly Kyle if you 1:18:33 need help no that's I won't get comments 1:18:36 on the uh on the post itself I'll get 1:18:38 DMS from people hey Kyle I'm here if you 1:18:40 need to talk to me you know what funny 1:18:44 um I'll leave that one up just because 1:18:46 it's 1:18:48 appropriate so when I first started 1:18:50 doing Kyle Shannon dreams which this 1:18:52 image is inspired by one of those images 1:18:54 I was posting in them to 1:18:57 Facebook and 1:19:01 Instagram and when I was P posting him 1:19:03 to Facebook I don't think I was really 1:19:06 commenting much on him I was just 1:19:07 putting up like the story of who that 1:19:09 character was and I had two different 1:19:12 people call me and and ask me if I was 1:19:21 okay oh god of course I'm okay I've got 1:19:25 a bow tie and and a Willy Wonka jacket 1:19:28 why wouldn't I be okay I don't know what 1:19:31 your problem 1:19:32 is 1:19:35 oh we're seeing the power of the Jank in 1:19:37 full force 1:19:39 tonight oh 1:19:44 Lord takes your breath breath away all 1:19:54 right 1:19:57 W oh never a dull moment at thei 1:20:01 learning lab should I post my two two 1:20:03 bears on LinkedIn I really think you 1:20:05 should hey I just posted that on 1:20:08 LinkedIn I think I think Tut two bears 1:20:10 is at least a species 1:20:14 removed what you should post on LinkedIn 1:20:17 is that you're you're really happy with 1:20:19 the quality of Google's uh image image 1:20:24 uh generation 1:20:26 oh good to see Google's catching up in 1:20:29 in the image generation 1:20:32 space okay I need to breathe I need to 1:20:35 get out of the I need to get out of the 1:20:37 ridiculous corner for a 1:20:41 minute 2023 the last normal 1:20:46 [Laughter] 1:20:50 Year all right I'm going to breathe and 1:20:52 seene we're going to we're going to 1:20:53 bring it down let's lower the 1:20:55 temperature look my glasses are starting 1:20:56 to fog 1:20:57 [Laughter] 1:21:07 up it was the tiny waist on the bear and 1:21:10 the matching 2 too it was so good 1:21:15 oh maybe specify a photo like image in 1:21:17 the prompt yeah I could do 1:21:21 that all right let me go see if anyone 1:21:23 commented who who's the stalker I think 1:21:26 that's the question from the 1:21:27 professionals with the 1:21:33 couches ah let's 1:21:37 see where's my 1:21:50 LinkedIn can't believe I posted that oh 1:21:54 so it's but like why would you not post 1:21:59 that professional 1:22:04 reputation you were a Dapper young man 1:22:06 nice Claire I like 1:22:14 it the caloric restriction 1:22:16 [Laughter] 1:22:24 camp 1:22:26 people are going to it's 1:22:46 all your fault look I'm like I'm fogging 1:22:48 up my glasses it is all your fault damn 1:22:53 weirdos 1:22:58 if I weren't here entertaining you do 1:22:59 you think I would have even sort of 1890s kind of 1:23:25 black smoke Sky that's pretty 1:23:29 good that's so good all right well it's 1:23:33 out there now it's out there for the 1:23:35 world to 1:23:38 see let's see what the comments I have 1:23:40 any comments in 1:23:48 here crazy crazy 1:23:53 crazy 1:24:03 all right anybody have any questions any 1:24:05 other things any you want to see or hear 1:24:09 or I upload a screenshot of that image 1:24:11 of you and popped it in my G GPT and 1:24:15 said add 1:24:21 wings that's brilliant Cory it's solid 1:24:25 how different all your lives would be 1:24:27 without this live the art the laughs the 1:24:30 knowledge yeah I know oh your lives 1:24:33 would be how different all your lives 1:24:34 would be well thank you I appreciate 1:24:37 that but it you know 1:24:41 like you know as silly as this stuff 1:24:47 is like it it it really does give me 1:24:51 permission to just [ __ ] around and just 1:24:55 just like learn what what is possible 1:24:58 and like learn things like has Gemini 1:25:01 gotten any better no it's like it's 1:25:03 almost The Identical image that that 1:25:06 Danielle posted that 1:25:08 caused that caused all the all the kurur 1:25:12 fluffle about the Gemini 1:25:15 bear and started a a meme in the 1:25:18 salon um but it's like that's actually 1:25:22 really it it it is oddly important to 1:25:26 know where these things are like what is 1:25:29 the level of Jank right what is the 1:25:31 level of Jank for these tools because 1:25:34 especially for those of us in in 1:25:38 professional engagements right 1:25:41 especially if you're in a big 1:25:43 company like we need to be able to say 1:25:46 with confidence okay we're ready to go 1:25:49 now and we're not there right 1:25:51 now we're still in the experiment stage 1:25:55 because the tools are still in the 1:25:56 experiment 1:25:58 stage oh we've been comparing image AI 1:26:01 we sure have I was like what did I miss 1:26:05 you missed you missed a glorious 1:26:09 self-portrait I did of myself at the 1:26:12 caloric restriction Camp when I was a 1:26:17 [Music] 1:26:23 child think we'll just leave that right 1:26:26 [Laughter] 1:26:31 there you missed that you missed 1:26:40 that hilarious hilarious stop Kyle I 1:26:45 know I know I really do have to 1:26:50 stop all right what time is it it's 9:30 1:26:53 um let me go I'm I'm a little I'm a 1:26:55 little crispy I don't know why you know 1:26:57 I had one of those days where I was 1:26:58 going to do a lot of [ __ ] and then I 1:27:01 just didn't you know have those days 1:27:03 where they just like the time the clock 1:27:06 just keeps going and you're like I'll do 1:27:08 something at some point here and then 1:27:10 the day just goes it was one of 1:27:12 those so I think because of those I 1:27:14 don't have a I I have lower energy I'm a 1:27:17 little low on the energy I've also just 1:27:20 laughed myself 1:27:23 out 1:27:28 H wait I I have one more idea I want to 1:27:31 try okay let's try one more 1:27:34 idea it's going to be in this 1:27:39 neighborhood but I want to do something 1:27:50 cool all right we're going to do this in 1:27:53 mid Journey 1:27:56 and we're going to do it in chat 1:28:00 GPT all right so I'm going to go to chat 1:28:04 gbt and I'm going to 1:28:09 say I'm going to go 1:28:12 find one of my interesting Kyle Shannon 1:28:15 dreams 1:28:23 images 1:28:33 that's a solid 1:28:39 one those are 1:28:41 cute there's the Cabbage empresario of 1:28:53 Wisconsin 1:28:56 uhuh let's go find an interesting 1:28:59 one maybe the an Annie Lio an lioz one 1:29:03 or maybe that one's kind of 1:29:11 interesting so what you're looking at 1:29:13 here by the way is I did a project 1:29:15 called Kyle Shannon dreams using stable 1:29:17 diffusion and dream booth in 2022 where 1:29:20 I did all these sort of weird 1:29:21 self-portraits and then wrote stories of 1:29:23 them 1:29:25 that dude's kind of 1:29:28 interesting beef cake beef cake 1:29:35 Kyle okay this one's 1:29:45 interesting you'll see what I'm going to 1:29:47 do here in a 1:29:53 second 1:29:57 I think I might do him because he's so 1:30:07 distinctive how did you do all these oh 1:30:09 dream Booth so Cory there's for stable 1:30:14 diffusion there was a there was an 1:30:16 extension called dream Booth 1:30:19 Bo um where you'd upload like 25 1:30:23 pictures you can can do that right now 1:30:25 without having to install dream Booth 1:30:27 you can just do it in Leonardo you can 1:30:29 upload images to Leonardo you can 1:30:32 frankly just do it now that there's 1:30:33 character reference in 1:30:36 um in mid Journey um you can you can 1:30:40 just do it there but let's let's let's 1:30:43 take him since he's so 1:30:48 distinctive all right I'm going to open 1:30:50 that I'm going to dis say just 1:30:57 describe this 1:31:18 man 1:31:21 okay 1:31:23 great 1:31:25 now I want 1:31:29 you 1:31:33 to 1:31:35 create short uh let's see um 1:31:40 10 1:31:42 short image 1:31:47 prompts that 1:31:50 describe a 1:31:53 photo graph from a 1:31:58 specific location in New York 1:32:02 City 1:32:05 between 1980 and 1:32:12 1999 I also want you 1:32:18 to um 1:32:22 describe a speci 1:32:29 specific 1:32:32 photo graphic style as part of the 1:32:41 prompt 1:32:45 EG 1:32:49 Polaroid um color 1:32:53 Street 1:32:55 high contrast black white Etc all right 1:33:00 so what I'm going to try to do 1:33:06 here a grainy high contrast black and 1:33:08 white photograph of a bustling Time 1:33:11 Square capturing the light oh wait okay 1:33:15 this isn't quite what I wanted stop stop 1:33:18 stop I want you to 1:33:22 describe the man 1:33:26 earlier in those 1:33:30 scenes be 1:33:33 photos should all be of 1:33:37 [Music] 1:33:38 him you don't 1:33:40 need details of 1:33:44 him just 1:33:49 describe 1:33:51 uh the action in the photo 1:33:54 okay 1:33:56 so what I'm going to try to do is use 1:33:59 that that image as a photographic as a 1:34:03 character reference and then but have 1:34:06 chat GPT give us really 1:34:09 good prompts of different 1:34:12 locations high contrast black and white 1:34:14 photograph of of 1:34:18 aan crossing the 1:34:23 street 1:34:26 describe 1:34:28 him a bit 1:34:31 more 1:34:35 um how 1:34:39 he's 1:34:43 standing 1:34:45 um closeup 1:34:48 or long 1:34:52 shot um 1:34:56 let's 1:34:57 see interesting 1:35:00 clothes he's 1:35:05 wearing 1:35:08 Etc see if we can get 1:35:12 there high contrast black and white 1:35:14 photograph of the man 1:35:18 in an Overcoat standing in a confident 1:35:21 posture in Time Square okay this is 1:35:23 perfect okay okay so we'll just start 1:35:25 with this 1:35:26 one so what I'm trying to do here is how 1:35:30 quickly can I make a documentary this 1:35:34 this is what I was thinking 1:35:37 about now that we have character 1:35:41 reference could you quickly put together 1:35:43 a documentary film about someone that 1:35:46 didn't 1:35:47 exist is kind of where where my head was 1:35:50 the other day that that I think I'd like 1:35:52 to experiment with 1:35:55 so we're going to go boom there's that 1:35:59 we're going to make 1:36:02 these let's make 1:36:05 these is let's see 1:36:09 is 35 mm 1:36:15 film a 1:36:17 3x2 1:36:19 aspect 1:36:23 ratio 1:36:25 yes so 3x two is the right aspect ratio 1:36:31 good we'll leave variety and weirdness 1:36:34 down stylization at 200 that's fine and 1:36:37 then we're going to 1:36:40 use him 1:36:43 as the character 1:36:47 reference and then I think we 1:36:51 want Dash Dash 1:36:54 CW which is character weight and we want 1:36:57 that of 1:36:59 a hang 1:37:02 on 1:37:03 um 1:37:06 CF 1:37:07 range 1:37:09 mid 1:37:11 Journey zero to 100 oh wait uh let's see 1:37:18 CF Dash D CW range mid 1:37:23 Journey 1:37:29 100 is the default and uses face hair 1:37:31 and 1:37:33 clothes so we'll do a character weight 1:37:35 of 10 okay so let me explain that so 1:37:37 character 1:37:39 weight if you give it a weight of a 100 1:37:47 wait uses the face hair and close of the 1:37:51 image so if I make it a zero it'll just 1:37:54 just use his face so let's make it like 1:37:57 a 15 so it'll be mostly his face but uh 1:38:02 Let's do let's get a little to toward 1:38:05 the middle a CW of 30 so we're kind of a 1:38:08 third of the way between only using his 1:38:10 face and using as much of him as we can 1:38:13 would be a 1:38:16 100 okay high contrast black and white 1:38:20 photo of a man in a long Overcoat 1:38:23 standing with a confid posture in Time 1:38:24 Square a fedora casting a shadow over 1:38:27 his eyes captured from a medium uhoh 1:38:31 what did I miss did I miss part of the 1:38:35 prompt from a medium distance as taxis 1:38:39 pass behind him why did I lose 1:38:52 that 1:39:00 oh it was in there it just didn't show 1:39:01 it okay got it 1:39:07 okay all right so bang so there's 1:39:12 one and then so now that we have it set 1:39:15 up now I can just copy and paste a whole 1:39:20 bunch of these chat jbt things over to 1:39:22 Mid Journey 1:39:25 I'll do dash dash 1:39:28 CW space 1:39:32 30 oh that's so cool look at him he's 1:39:34 already looking 1:39:37 cool failed to 1:39:40 submit oh oh yeah of course okay 1:39:44 creation failed uh paste I got to add 1:39:48 the 1:39:49 picture I got to turn it into a 1:39:52 character reference 1:39:54 and then I got to go-- 1:39:57 CW 1:39:58 30 1:40:01 boom so I'm not even I'm not even 1:40:03 reading these I'm literally just like I 1:40:05 once I got chat GPT to do something that 1:40:09 was in the neighborhood of what I 1:40:12 wanted I'm just going to go blast a 1:40:15 bunch of these in 1:40:19 here D- 1:40:22 cw30 1:40:27 failed oh damn 1:40:36 it gotta turn on there you go bang There 1:40:40 You Go 1:40:41 Boom 1:40:46 okay a fun faded 1:40:52 snapshot um 1:40:55 boom 1:40:58 boom Dash D 1:41:06 cw30 we'll just do five of them we'll 1:41:08 see see because I'll probably overrun my 1:41:11 mid Journey 1:41:13 welcome here 1:41:16 shortly dash dash 1:41:20 cw30 the the weird dude with 1:41:24 that boom all right let's go look at 1:41:28 these let's see let's go see what we 1:41:33 got 1:41:40 wild that's it that's the one right 1:41:44 there so 1:41:48 [Laughter] 1:41:52 cool 1:41:58 oh these are genius this is so 1:42:10 good [ __ ] 1:42:19 brilliant like that's a 1:42:21 keeper loving the man bun 1:42:30 yeah I want to go do a few more of these 1:42:32 all right let me go back to 1:42:52 here 1:43:01 and then you could I mean what's what's 1:43:03 amazing about this is you could then 1:43:05 take these snapshots over to 1:43:08 Runway right and you could you could 1:43:11 totally make a documentary of a group of 1:43:16 friends you know living in the same city 1:43:19 in different cities in different 1:43:22 times 1:43:25 come on how cool is this 1:43:40 people I can't wait to see the one in 1:43:43 Chinatown I used to live in Chinatown 1:43:45 that was [ __ ] weird man you want you 1:43:49 want to live in a weird part of New York 1:43:50 City live in 1:43:52 Chinatown 1:43:54 we also we lived in an apartment that 1:43:57 that was on the ground floor like 1:44:01 overlooking a 16th century Hungarian 1:44:06 Cemetery I have never lived in a truly 1:44:09 haunted place that place was [ __ ] 1:44:12 haunted it was we had so many weird 1:44:14 experiences 1:44:16 there 1:44:18 crazy and then Chinatown was weird on 1:44:21 top of 1:44:22 it 1:44:37 bam all right one 1:44:40 more a bright colorful Street photograph 1:44:43 at Union 1:44:45 Square the man and a fisherman's vest 1:44:48 Laden with patches in his 1:44:51 travels it's fantastic Bob tell them 1:44:54 what they've 1:44:55 won well you silly goose they haven't 1:44:57 won anything they're not playing a game 1:45:01 that's so disappointing Bob why do you 1:45:03 have that voice that's what I trained 1:45:08 for 1:45:10 okay enough comedy jokes love that 1:45:20 [Music] 1:45:22 one 1:45:24 o this is the Chinatown 1:45:31 ones 1:45:33 H I think that's the 1:45:35 one anyone else want to know about the 1:45:38 Paranormal experiences in chinat 1:45:40 town I can tell you one of those 1:45:43 actually you know what now that we have 1:45:45 this mid Journey stuff I could probably 1:45:46 recreate it oh that's a weird one over 1:45:49 his face on the back of his 1:45:52 head 1:45:54 that see see that image right there just 1:45:57 feels to me like New York City in the 1:46:01 90s oh of course he was a saxophone 1:46:11 player this is so 1:46:22 cool 1:46:24 like we just completely told the story 1:46:26 of this guy that didn't 1:46:29 exist and and and that 1:46:31 [Laughter] 1:46:45 bear Lower East Side in the late 1:46:52 80s 1:46:54 maybe this is like in the 90s late 1:47:09 90s what [ __ ] amazing times we live 1:47:13 in unfuckingbelievable you know it's 1:47:16 funny like I I 1:47:18 just again this Source camp this goes 1:47:20 back to your your thing of like you know 1:47:23 if it weren't for these lives like [ __ ] 1:47:24 wouldn't happen I just had this sort of 1:47:27 brain fart I don't know two days ago or 1:47:29 something like that that wouldn't it be 1:47:32 cool to use character reference in mid 1:47:35 Journey have chat GPT create a history 1:47:39 of 1:47:40 someone and then create all the prompts 1:47:43 for that history and then just dump them 1:47:45 into mid Journey without a car in the 1:47:47 world Orson Wells Vibes exactly isn't 1:47:50 it and like this could be like Orson 1:47:53 Well's like you know illegitimate son or 1:47:56 you 1:47:57 know or just just call him like you know 1:48:00 just just do like a series a documentary 1:48:03 series called Bob 1:48:04 [Laughter] 1:48:10 Wells or Bob Wells 1:48:13 [Laughter] 1:48:22 Johnson 1:48:23 amazing amazing amazing 1:48:26 amazing 1:48:28 um all right so I'll tell you the I'll 1:48:31 tell you one of the ghost 1:48:34 stories I think we need to go back to 1:48:36 that though is the is the little 1:48:40 image um Kyle the 1:48:43 rapper 1:48:46 um 1:48:49 so the way our apartment was was there 1:48:52 were there 1:48:55 were there was a big living room kitchen 1:48:58 area that that was on Oliver 1:49:01 Street and then there was a a little 1:49:04 hallway that had a bathroom off 1:49:07 it that connected to the bedroom and 1:49:10 that that was in the back of the 1:49:11 apartment and that's the bedroom is the 1:49:13 one that looked out over the 16th 1:49:16 century Hungarian 1:49:19 Cemetery 1:49:21 um and so 1:49:25 Gabby was in watching TV she was laying 1:49:28 in the bed watching TV there was the 1:49:31 hallway and 1:49:32 then my screenwriting partner Brian and 1:49:35 I were 1:49:37 sitting 1:49:41 writing and you know when you're writing 1:49:44 and you get into writing you're just 1:49:45 like you're in it you're in it until you 1:49:48 take a break or until you need to take a 1:49:49 break so he and I are writing and I hear 1:49:53 Gabby walk down the hall and and she's 1:49:55 standing behind me and but I'm kind of 1:49:57 in the middle of like trying to work 1:49:58 through some dialogue and and she's 1:50:01 standing there and I'm I'm like trying 1:50:02 to finish up and I get finished up and I 1:50:04 turn around and go 1:50:06 what and she wasn't there and I was like 1:50:10 who like like I knew she walked down the 1:50:15 hall like I saw my peripheral vision and 1:50:18 I knew she was standing right behind 1:50:21 me and and and I was like oh that was 1:50:26 weird and so I walked to the bedroom and 1:50:28 I said I did you did you just come out 1:50:32 and like stand behind me and she goes oh 1:50:35 my God I thought you just walked in the 1:50:37 room so she and I simultaneously 1:50:40 experienced one 1:50:42 another invading each other's space 1:50:44 while we were completely separate it was 1:50:48 like and then and then another another 1:50:52 one from 1:50:54 this is from Oliver Street so we lived 1:50:55 there for two 1:50:57 years and it is the one time in my 1:51:01 life where nothing 1:51:05 happened nothing there was no creative 1:51:08 progress there was no no inventions no 1:51:12 new businesses I was just working a Deja 1:51:14 it was two years of 1:51:19 nothing so we're kind of a year into 1:51:22 this apart apartment 1:51:24 and we got we got married by like this 1:51:27 this hippie chick in a restaurant in in 1:51:30 Soo um and she had recommended a psychic 1:51:34 because we we were like just trying to 1:51:35 figure some [ __ ] out what's going on and 1:51:37 she goes oh let me let me 1:51:39 um Let me let me put you in touch with 1:51:43 this psychic so it's the psychic in 1:51:44 Oregon right he does psychic readings 1:51:47 over the over the uh over the 1:51:52 phone and and he does things like you 1:51:56 know are there Spirits in your presence 1:52:00 basically and he was like oh he goes 1:52:03 there's a lot going on where you 1:52:06 live and he said to Gabby he goes he 1:52:11 goes you used to like to cook a lot 1:52:14 right and she went yeah and he goes you 1:52:17 haven't cooked since you've been in that 1:52:19 apartment have you and she goes no I 1:52:23 haven't how did you know that and he 1:52:25 goes 1:52:29 well he goes there's a there's a ghost 1:52:34 in your kitchen called kitchen's 1:52:36 Helper and she doesn't want you to cook 1:52:39 she wants to be the one doing the 1:52:41 cooking so she's not letting you 1:52:44 cook and then he also said he goes I 1:52:48 keep seeing I keep seeing 1:52:51 these really really old men with big 1:52:54 beards in heavy wool coats like you know 1:52:57 floor length coats standing at the foot 1:53:00 of your bed staring at you and it was an 1:53:04 all the the Hungarian Cemetery was a um 1:53:08 Orthodox Jewish Hungarian Cemetery so 1:53:13 it's like the the uh the 1:53:16 uh the whatever they are whatever they 1:53:19 are in their big coats with their with 1:53:21 their beards I guess just like to stand 1:53:24 at the end of our bed and look at 1:53:28 us we couldn't get out of there fast 1:53:30 enough and [ __ ] Chinatown is just 1:53:32 disgusting you just be you just be 1:53:35 walking down the street and some you 1:53:37 know little lady be walking down the 1:53:40 street and just 1:53:41 go and just spit right at your feet like 1:53:44 not spitting at you just you know 1:53:47 clearing their 1:53:48 mucus and 1:53:50 then at sundown the rats would come out 1:53:54 because chinatown's just full of like 1:53:57 Street vendors everywhere so there's 1:53:58 just food everywhere right and so the 1:54:01 minute the sun comes down the rats would 1:54:03 come out and you you'd like come around 1:54:05 a corner be like a hundred rats would 1:54:07 just scatter was [ __ ] 1:54:10 [Laughter] 1:54:13 crazy oh man 1:54:17 anyway nope yeah exactly I sometimes get 1:54:21 that feeling yeah it was crazy 1:54:23 I'm so bummed I'm at work and can't tell 1:54:25 what Kyle is laughing about no 1:54:27 [Laughter] 1:54:29 captions oh man that actually gave me 1:54:33 goosebumps it was crazy it was I the the 1:54:36 like the the uh the kitchen's helper one 1:54:38 was just weird that he was just like you 1:54:40 know you haven't cooked you haven't you 1:54:43 used to love to cook didn't you and and 1:54:44 you're not doing that anymore right 1:54:46 that's kitchen's helper I was like okay 1:54:49 [ __ ] but the uh that thing where like 1:54:54 you know she walked behind just that 1:54:56 thing where you know someone's right 1:54:57 there right and it's like it's a small 1:55:00 enough place like you just like she's 1:55:02 done that you know a hundred times she's 1:55:04 walked down the hallway and stood there 1:55:06 and waited until we finished whatever we 1:55:08 were 1:55:09 writing and there was no one there and 1:55:11 then she thought I was coming into into 1:55:14 the bedroom so weird weird [ __ ] anyway 1:55:18 all right everybody um this was fun 1:55:20 hopefully hopefully kind of helpful and 1:55:22 interesting 1:55:24 let's do tomorrow horror ghost ghost 1:55:26 stories yeah we could do that 1:55:29 actually you know 1:55:32 having a room it was also a weird the 1:55:35 bedroom was weird and triangular it was 1:55:36 kind of wider like our 1:55:42 our our bed was in this little sort of 1:55:45 Nook and then it got the room got wider 1:55:47 in front of you you sort of came in from 1:55:49 the side and then the cemetery was to 1:55:51 the right 1:55:54 and so I could I could just imagine 1:55:56 using mid journey to make the bedroom 1:55:58 with like you know feet you know you're 1:56:00 you're in the bed the point of view of 1:56:01 being in the bed with seeing your feet 1:56:03 and there's these ghosts of these These 1:56:05 Old Orthodox Jewish men from the 1600s 1:56:09 and then the cemetery out to the 1:56:13 right crazy it's crazy it's crazy 1:56:17 how 1:56:19 so in in another life I was a 1:56:22 professional psychic medium nice very 1:56:26 cool all right Mr it has an idea um all 1:56:31 right happy Saturday night everybody um 1:56:33
