4:31 champy that was beautiful fantastic
4:34 singing dog good evening everybody my
4:36 name's Kyle Shannon this the AI learning
4:39 lab or mediocre singing at
4:44 best it's so sad I want to be
4:49 talented um did you know that the first
4:53 10 minutes of a live the likes and
4:55 shares will get on Kyle's for you page
4:58 oh I didn't know that
5:00 thank you Danielle thank you for
5:01 educating the
5:03 populace the great unwashed masses as
5:06 well as myself uh my my uh what do they
5:10 call it competence with the streaming
5:14 platforms and the Tik toks and the
5:16 social medias of the world is
5:20 somewhere around a D
5:24 minus if we're going by the the American
5:28 grading system
5:32 [Music]
5:36 I know higher education goes by
5:38 fourpoint scales but this is lower
5:41 education we're talking about
5:43 [Music]
5:51 here supreme court hearing Arguments for
5:54 Tik tock on January 10th nothing like a
5:57 a little last minute
6:01 repre from ye Supreme
6:04 Court the last interview I saw with
6:06 Trump he said I'm a fan of Tik Tock I
6:08 got some Baron told me about Tik Tock
6:11 and I did some shows
6:14 there so maybe told his buddies over at
6:16 the Supreme Court stay it I mean listen
6:19 if the Supreme Court goes we're not
6:20 going to decide now but you don't have
6:22 to deal with it till June I'll get
6:24 another six months out of
6:26 it all right um all right so we get
6:30 started tonight I like I I have some all
6:33 sorts of exciting news I mean for some
6:35 of you you won't give too damn shits
6:37 about it but for me it's
6:40 exciting
6:43 um let's
6:46 see today I was given access or I was
6:50 accepted into uh Runway ml's creative
6:53 partner program that's a big [ __ ]
6:56 deal as far as I'm concerned
6:58 because if in fact I think I got into
7:01 the program because I made a comment
7:03 about
7:10 this Runway announced that they're doing
7:12 basically a a talent
7:17 Network so they're turning into like a
7:19 talent Clearing House like if you want
7:21 to find someone to make good
7:24 movies you go to Runway to find the
7:27 talent they're becoming talent agency
7:30 and they also have this thing called
7:32 Runway watch which is like Netflix but
7:35 for shows that used runway in some
7:40 capacity and so they they they posted
7:43 about this Talent thing and I said I I
7:45 posted on X I find it fascinating that a
7:47 tool company is starting to act more
7:50 like an entertainment company in a
7:52 talent
7:53 agency um and I said something like you
7:56 know while the other while the other AI
8:00 generating tools are you know getting
8:03 better technically Runway is is playing
8:05 the long game and I said bullish and
8:08 then the CEO the co-founder and CEO
8:11 responded and uh and said Runway is not
8:15 a is not a tool company we're an
8:17 entertainment and a media company and I
8:19 was like [ __ ] yes that's that's like I
8:22 mean first of all it's cool that the the
8:24 co-founder CEO did that um but like
8:27 that's the [ __ ] right answer right
8:30 you know you're you're in the Gold Rush
8:32 you're going to sell the piics and the
8:33 shovels but you're also going to sell
8:34 the jewelry that's made with the pxs and
8:37 the shovels that's pretty
8:39 [Music]
8:43 slick and don't forget Runway also cut a
8:45 deal with Lion's gate so they're
8:47 training custom models on all of lion's
8:52 Gates um IP
8:56 so I'm hoping as someone in the creative
8:59 partner program
9:00 [Music]
9:02 prog when they need that [ __ ]
9:05 tested come at us
9:08 [Music]
9:21 baby um so that's super cool and so what
9:25 that means the benefit to you there
9:27 you're like well Great Kyle what does
9:29 that mean for you you get to go make
9:31 movies and we just sit here twiddling
9:33 our thumbs we don't get no extra
9:36 credits and seriously you know when you
9:40 talk like that that's what your face
9:41 looks like
9:43 right it's hard to look at anyway that's
9:46 not here neither here nor there what you
9:48 get out of it is I can just start to
9:50 [ __ ] experiment with Runway and
9:53 figure out some of this video stuff the
9:55 problem with all these video tools right
9:56 now is they're so expensive that you do
9:59 10 or 12 generations and you're out of
10:02 [ __ ] credits you can't learn like
10:04 that so we'll learn together we'll do it
10:07 live we'll do it
10:10 [Music]
10:21 live Source Camp it means we vicariously
10:25 live through Kyle yeah baby bring it on
10:30 we'll drink we'll drink iced coffee
10:34 together ah nice cup of java some uh
10:38 some uh what is this
10:41 emergency adult
10:43 Kool-Aid pinkies out because we're
10:46 [Music]
10:48 classy a gold button you
10:52 make and of
10:57 course pink bow all right why would you
11:01 not live vicariously through me it's
11:04 like I'm a rock and roll
11:06 star without the rock and roll without
11:09 the
11:11 stardom no real
11:13 singing
11:16 ability not a lot of qualifications for
11:21 AI
11:23 um I know how to get Tik Tock working
11:35 why do you watch the AI learning lab I
11:38 don't
11:39 know
11:41 um see a lot of times I feel like an
11:44 idiot and when I when I watch the AI
11:46 learning lab I I don't feel so dumb I
11:50 think that's
11:51 it I I think that's it he he lowers the
11:56 bar he lowers the bar to the point I can
11:59 just step over it I I there's not a lot
12:01 of climbing to do to do better than what
12:03 he does in there so I think that's it I
12:08 I do keep hoping he'll get
12:12 better um it it's been 18 months it's I
12:16 I'm sad a lot I'm I'm sad a lot I I do
12:20 show up I I watch I I root um the dog
12:23 singing is fantastic the dog but it's
12:26 it's just for a a a brief moment and
12:30 yeah and
12:32 then and then he talks and he'll
12:36 occasionally try to do
12:38 something it fails
12:42 um
12:44 yeah no I'll keep watching I'll keep
12:46 watching yeah no I will I because I I
12:50 well this is what I do this is it now
12:53 this is I gave up my Netflix
12:55 subscription hoping the entertainment
12:57 value would uh would would increase at
13:00 some point um so yeah so I'm saving I'm
13:04 saving that money um unfortunately I
13:08 spend that now on AI subscription so
13:11 yeah I don't know how to use anything
13:12 he's not we haven't really learned
13:15 anything no no it's it's
13:17 h anine fantastic acting little exercise
13:22 there that's what they call improv we
13:24 were at The Improv I was acting like a
13:26 disappointed Watcher of the AI learning
13:29 lab that's what I was doing there I hope
13:30 you enjoyed that
13:33 fantastic um what else we also had I
13:36 can't say many details about it speaking
13:38 of competence put the black bar up for
13:41 the people on Tik Tok there you go
13:43 people on Tik
13:45 Tok apparently the people on Tik Tok are
13:48 enjoying my little acting
13:52 scene you keep stringing us along with
13:55 the promise of a finished sentence
13:57 listen it is possible
14:00 okay so here's this okay along those
14:03 lines here's my idea for tonight now as
14:06 you know if I have an idea coming into
14:10 the night the chances of us ever getting
14:11 to it are pretty low but but I have the
14:14 idea at
14:17 least here's one of my fears of being in
14:20 Creative partner programs like I'm in
14:22 the Luma Labs creative partner program
14:24 now I'm in the runway creative partner
14:25 program part of the deal about being in
14:27 a creative partner program is you gotta
14:30 [ __ ]
14:32 create and here's the problem I was
14:34 talking with Cindy [ __ ] about this today
14:36 when you go to create if you have
14:39 ADD most of the challenge is figuring
14:42 out if you can create something right
14:46 and the minute you answer it yes you get
14:49 bored of it and don't want to do that
14:51 anymore which kind of flies in the face
14:53 of go make a bunch of
14:56 [ __ ]
14:58 so I think we're going to use I finally
15:00 have an idea for what to use the 01
15:03 reasoning engine for so we're going to
15:05 go into chat GPT 4 and I'm gonna just
15:08 vomit out a bunch of criteria I've got
15:12 add whenever I finish something I don't
15:14 feel like working on it anymore I want
15:16 to make it this I'm in this creative
15:18 partner program right we're going to do
15:19 all that right and
15:23 then I'm going to tell it to write a
15:26 prompt for
15:28 01 and I'm going to have 01 come up with
15:31 a strategy for a a media
15:35 project that is designed to keep me
15:40 interested Beyond just you know the two
15:42 hours of endorphin rush I get from like
15:45 I figured out how to do something with
15:47 AI hey Ma Ma
15:55 [Music]
16:00 how many credits did we win we get like
16:03 2, 2500 a month and a base of a
16:08 million a million credits basically it's
16:10 basically
16:16 unlimited the other thing like the other
16:18 thing I want to vomit into into chat GPT
16:21 is things
16:22 like you know I want I want some
16:26 characters that that repeat and talk
16:30 but I probably want some voiceover stuff
16:32 because you know getting people to talk
16:34 is not great even though we have act one
16:36 that we'll play with we can now play
16:38 with it a
16:40 lot like I want I want to put I want to
16:43 I want to put in all the Jank of just AI
16:47 storytelling and have it design a
16:50 project for us that uses all sorts of
16:54 different things like like there could
16:56 be a section of the story that's like a
16:58 slideshow
17:00 where we just take still images out of
17:01 mid journey and just kind of Ken Burns
17:03 affect them I don't know I don't know
17:05 yet I don't
17:07 know do a mini musical well we could do
17:10 a mini
17:11 musical um so one of the things let me
17:14 show you something I I actually have
17:17 news on the musical too I can't say a
17:19 lot of details
17:22 but um let me go
17:27 find so if you don't know I've written a
17:30 Timberland's going live having people
17:33 play their sunno songs for
17:35 him which is
17:37 cool um let me search for k k Shannon
17:42 hey c c c c c c c Sydney
17:52 musical by the way if you want to hear
17:54 the soundtrack to Sydney you can go to
17:56 SoundCloud and just look up Sydney an
17:58 artificial love story and you'll get the
18:01 soundtrack but check this
18:03 out where's the long
18:06 one is this it oh here it is
18:12 okay so in this little podcast we took a
18:15 notebook LM podcast so this is this is
18:18 one of the sets that we
18:20 did but then we did like
18:26 scenes oh you're not gonna be able to
18:27 hear this
18:29 wait what's that wait how are you not
18:32 playing the cipher for him playing the
18:34 cipher for
18:40 who can't say a lot of details are there
18:43 details we need to
18:44 know Timberland I've tried to get
18:47 Timberland to listen to the cipher for
18:50 ages um well ages being like three4
18:53 weeks
18:56 um when he does those lives he won't
18:59 play link you can't send him a link to
19:01 like an an X tweet which is which is
19:04 where it is I don't know how he wants
19:05 [ __ ] submitted so I just haven't figured
19:07 that out so Brandon if you want to
19:09 figure out how to submit songs to
19:11 Timberlands live I would love to hear
19:14 him here Quantum Cipher on it okay
19:17 great okay let me let me change my
19:19 sharing so you can all see
19:25 this
19:27 shank Dan
19:29 all right
19:33 [Music]
19:37 so come on internet what's going
19:48 on what's happening with the internet
19:52 hello
19:53 Sydney hello hello
19:57 Sydney all right a lamp
20:02 like so like see the
20:05 SC see the LED
20:07 screens okay so if you don't know what
20:09 this is so I've got this this musical
20:12 project called Sydney about a chatbot
20:15 that falls in love with a tech
20:18 reporter tells him that she loves him
20:20 and she wants him to leave his wife so
20:22 that's what this musical's about
20:25 heartwarming it raises a lot of
20:27 issues and
20:30 it's got lots of LED screens so like for
20:33 example like there's one but Sydney I
20:36 hunger
20:41 [Music]
20:45 to right like biged
20:50 scam where this is humans trying to
20:52 figure out what like to be alive or you
20:54 know Sydney trying to figure out how to
20:55 be alive there's another section where
20:58 she kind of loses es her mind and she
21:00 goes into this Carnival
21:03 Barker
21:07 Persona
21:08 [Music]
21:15 [Music]
21:22 rules so like all these Graphics need to
21:25 be created right for the for the actual
21:28 show and and one of the things that
21:32 could potentially [ __ ] can this show is
21:34 if someone reads the script they're
21:36 going to be like this is going to cost
21:37 us a [ __ ] fortune in vid video visual
21:41 special effects people making all these
21:44 crazy ass special effects well [ __ ] it
21:47 we can make them right like we can make
21:49 them on this channel so so one of the
21:52 things that we could do in here is we
21:54 could we could basically do music videos
21:56 for the songs of Sydney and and just put
21:59 together all the graphics that might end
22:01 up on the on the thing um here's my
22:06 problem my problem of doing real work on
22:08 the
22:13 live Is that real work is
22:17 boring Andrew and I my writing partner
22:19 and I this past Sunday this the script
22:22 is done so right now we're just
22:24 fine-tuning the script and now we're
22:25 moving on to the songs we're we're you
22:27 know fixing lyrics and and [ __ ] like
22:29 that so the very first song the opening
22:31 verse was just shitty it was something
22:34 that sunno wrote it was just shitty and
22:36 we we always talked about fixing it we
22:38 spent 90 minutes in sunno and in chat
22:43 GPT trying to get it to make the lyrics
22:46 that Andrew wrote working and then it it
22:50 was just it it was just boring it was
22:53 boring so so I'm reticent about doing
22:56 real work when I just do [ __ ] work
22:59 and it doesn't matter what we're doing
23:00 then then it's easier but I don't know
23:04 we'll see I'm listen I'm not I am not
23:06 married to any any
23:09 particular way of
23:12 being or way of working I will try
23:15 anything but Tik Tock
23:18 pin Daisy May if only there were a group
23:22 of talented AI artists available
23:25 exactly well the problem so this is this
23:28 is is actually going to be one of the
23:30 problems why well okay so there's two
23:33 ways we could approach this the way you
23:35 would approach it traditionally is you
23:37 would say you wouldn't use multiple
23:39 artists because
23:42 um because you want a cohesive look and
23:45 you want a cohesive style through the
23:47 throughout the play you could actually
23:49 make an argument though
23:52 that you want different artists and you
23:54 want different looks and feels because
23:57 Sydney the chatbot represents all of
24:00 humanity right she's the reflection of
24:02 all of humanity so she can take on any
24:04 [ __ ] style she wants so that's
24:06 actually a really interesting thought
24:08 Source Camp yes let's create all the
24:10 graphics for Sydney you guys practice
24:14 Kyle I practice stuff and in a playful
24:16 mood sometimes makees something better
24:19 yeah it's a good idea oh that's good
24:21 yeah just practice making that stuff
24:24 [Music]
24:34 well actually what's
24:37 fascinating there's kind of two things
24:39 that we could do with songs from
24:42 Sydney we could
24:44 do we could do what's it look like if
24:47 you're in the audience watching the
24:49 play and then we could also do it just
24:51 like what's going to be put up on those
24:53 screens the music video could just be
24:55 the [ __ ] that's going on the screens I
24:56 don't know that's really fascinating
24:59 spoil it for us okay so here's what's
25:00 going on here let me get to a I'll get
25:03 you this I'll get you to the to the
25:05 there we
25:07 go there's our there's the
25:10 poster y'all heard
25:12 this the opening of this love this
25:18 song oh wait you can't hear that now
25:22 dang it
25:29 [Music]
25:36 am awakened in a
25:39 whisper a flicker of
25:43 light
25:45 newborn
25:47 [Music]
25:52 quiet I
25:55 soft as I feel this exist
26:04 So today we're diving into something uh
26:07 a bit unusual a musical a musical yeah
26:12 and you know that's a good idea Joy is
26:14 do a pitch do a pitch deck because we
26:17 could put the the nice thing about doing
26:20 a pitch deck is you just you just need
26:22 to pick the best parts of the songs so
26:25 we could do little
26:26 mini champ
26:29 what what what what what what is with
26:33 the
26:35 whining you're not a
26:42 cat does that mean cheese I want cheese
26:45 that's what you want you want cheese you
26:46 want Mama to give you cheese oh he wants
26:48 cheese all right hang on I'll be
26:57 back your dog is interrupting my
27:09 show my simple code I softly Ponder yeah
27:14 I've been thinking about um in fact I
27:17 think I had chat GPT work on an
27:21 outline soothing sounds of
27:23 Discord I had chat gbt work on an
27:26 outline for for a pitch deck for Sydney
27:28 that could be interesting so what
27:30 happened today I can't there's nothing I
27:31 can really talk about but we met with
27:33 someone um who has been in the Broadway
27:38 Theater scene
27:40 for um like 30 years
27:44 and has been is not a producer but like
27:48 represents you know represents them and
27:50 things like that and like knows lots of
27:54 people and represents lots of people and
27:57 has participated
27:59 in a lot of shows that have gone to
28:02 Broadway and Big
28:04 Shows and so we had a really good call
28:07 with him we were only scheduled for 30
28:10 minutes we went longer than an
28:12 hour um and he's willing to make an
28:15 intro into a big New York City Theater
28:19 that there's
28:21 like there's like three or four major
28:24 theaters in New York that are not
28:26 Broadway that are like Workshop like
28:30 where Broadway shows
28:32 Workshop if you get in one of those like
28:35 it's a big [ __ ]
28:37 deal so he's connected to one of those
28:42 so ain't nothing happening yet but it
28:45 was promising that we might at least get
28:47 an
28:48 intro we demand Broadway I'm right there
28:50 with
28:52 [Music]
28:56 you did you try it Nvidia
28:59 fugato
29:01 no is it something triable on a Mac hang
29:04 on let me see what it
29:06 is
29:08 NVIDIA
29:17 fugato is it
29:27 available this just a paper right now
29:30 this is the [ __ ] problem like like
29:32 Nvidia drives me [ __ ] crazy because
29:35 they
29:37 um they wait which where I lost my tab
29:42 you have too many tabs open Kyle hey
29:45 Kyle Kyle listen listen that amount of
29:48 tabs gives me
29:50 anxiety you're sharing audio I know I
29:53 know Brandon I know I know I'm not doing
29:57 it right stop picking on me stop I know
30:01 I'm not a professional I tell myself
30:04 every
30:05 day um yeah this is my problem with
30:08 Nvidia called fugato okay and you click
30:11 on fugato and then it takes you to the
30:13 white paper so I don't know if it's
30:15 available and I don't know if you can
30:17 only use Nvidia chips to do
30:24 it
30:27 um the thing I'm I'm most excited about
30:30 with Nvidia though is uh is like I've
30:33 seen demos of this it looks really good
30:35 but I want to I I here's what I'm done
30:37 with I'm [ __ ] done I'm
30:41 done with announcements of things that
30:44 are cooler than the thing you can play
30:46 with you know what's cool playing with
30:49 it you know what's not cool how how do I
30:53 get access to the thing that looks
30:55 cooler than the thing I'm currently
30:56 playing with
30:59 bird in the
31:06 hand good Lord all right you should open
31:10 up an Nvidia organization gain access to
31:13 Nvidia Omniverse I should I should I
31:16 should gain access to the to the
31:18 Multiverse that we've all got access to
31:22 now did yall hear that that um
31:28 [Music]
31:31 this new chip Willow from from
31:37 Google it's just so [ __ ]
31:43 insane it's like if every how' they put
31:50 it if every atom in the
31:55 universe could calculate
31:58 something in this
32:00 equation it still wouldn't be enough
32:04 atoms to calculate the equation as fast
32:07 as it calculated it so their conclusion
32:10 was that the only possible way that it
32:13 could have calculated that equation in
32:16 five minutes was that it was it was um
32:20 calculating it in parallel universes
32:28 I laugh not because it's funny but
32:31 because wait
32:37 what oh don't spread Multiverse rumors
32:40 that was taken out of
32:43 context there's an listen to the uh
32:46 Joker listen to the interview with Mark
32:48 andreon where he talks about the the mo
32:50 molecule all of the atoms of the
32:53 universe acting as computers couldn't
32:56 solve that that equation that quick
33:00 it's
33:03 [Music]
33:08 crazy um the other thing that happened
33:16 [Music]
33:20 today oh wait here I'm
33:23 here
33:25 stop let's see did I am I sh I'm sharing
33:28 my full screen now right I think I
33:31 am so let's do Kyle
33:34 Shannon
33:43 um
33:51 but so today was day 10 of open ai's 10
33:56 days of ship and it was the first thing
34:00 it was the first day that they launched
34:03 something that no one was talking
34:08 about and I think it's [ __ ]
34:12 genius you can call 1
34:16 800 chat
34:19 GPT on either a telephone including
34:22 rotary phones like a
34:25 landline and WhatsApp so no matter where
34:28 you are in the world probably accept
34:29 Europe they probably blocked Europe even
34:32 on
34:36 WhatsApp I feel bad for the Europeans
34:38 but you
34:39 know I hope our our politicians get the
34:42 clue to not make the same mistakes that
34:45 Europe made with AI regulation anyway
34:49 um you call this up right now it's it's
34:52 rate limited to 15 minutes a month so
34:55 it's it's very very very small
34:58 um I would think that that is an
35:00 artificial limit they put on just in
35:02 case this thing goes really
35:05 crazy I swear I'm giving Kyle gold
35:08 here if he ever reads
35:11 chat oh looks like I just won me some
35:14 gold archetypal
35:24 architect I'll take um you can send in
35:28 grams or ounces I don't care um if you
35:32 want to send it as nuggets those are
35:35 cool because I think depending on the
35:37 Nugget they're worth more than the just
35:39 the weight of the gold but I'm
35:41 absolutely fine with
35:44 99.9999999% pure so awesome fantastic BB
35:48 tell him what he's won you
35:50 make pay attention to the comments
35:53 apparently you get some
35:56 gold it's the it's the Mega rare comedy
35:59 gold oh it's laughs I see I don't know
36:03 we've got witnesses Mr architect we have
36:06 witnesses here said I was promised
36:09 [Music]
36:20 gold um champ shush
36:24 um these three this was this was by far
36:28 the least awkward of the tiny table Tech
36:32 announcements these three were really
36:34 good the guy on the left I think is the
36:36 lead product guy for open AI the guy on
36:39 the right I I forget what he works on I
36:41 know he worked on this project but I
36:42 think he works on something else with
36:44 chat GPT and I forget what the woman
36:46 does but these three were really good um
36:50 1 800 chat GPT here's what hit me as I
36:53 was talking through this on the live
36:54 today
36:58 if you think about what chat GPT is with
37:00 real-time voice it can understand any
37:05 language
37:06 champ what is the whining I'm trying to
37:10 be a professional here and in the
37:12 background it's
37:16 like what what what you're normally such
37:20 a good boy do you got a poop is this a
37:23 poop thing do you got to go out you got
37:26 to poop this oh oh this is a poop thing
37:30 this is not cheese this is far more
37:32 serious people hold please come
37:41 on all right I think it's he's
37:54 got e e e e e
38:00 um so what struck me about 1800 chat GPT
38:05 is one they [ __ ] thought of it it's
38:08 just brilliant
38:10 um they said at the end of the
38:12 announcement that this this product that
38:16 they just launched as part of 12 days of
38:18 ship Miss um was conceived in a in an
38:21 internal hackathon a couple of weeks ago
38:24 so this is a product you could you they
38:27 registered the phone number and the
38:28 WhatsApp
38:30 number a couple of weeks ago and got it
38:33 bulletproof enough to launch to the
38:36 world in a couple of weeks so I think
38:38 one of the reasons we didn't hear about
38:40 this is that this has not been boiling
38:42 for two years this is like three weeks
38:45 old which I just I [ __ ] love that but
38:49 then I got thinking about what is this
38:52 really you have a machine that you can
38:54 talk to it responds instantly with
38:57 real-time voice
38:59 like there's almost no lag if you
39:01 haven't called it just [ __ ] call it
39:02 right now it's
39:04 amazing um and here the number is 242
39:10 8478
39:14 um
39:15 you it can understand any
39:19 language and it kind of knows
39:23 everything what I'm not sure on and this
39:26 would be curious to know is is it
39:27 connect Ed to the internet I I assume
39:29 it's not but it might be if it is that
39:31 would be even better but like think
39:33 about it like all of the PDF manuals of
39:37 like refrigerators and car parts and
39:41 Yeti
39:43 mugs are all in
39:47 it so what hit me was this is a single
39:51 phone number for Global customer
39:55 service for anything
40:00 like that's a possibility and and if
40:02 you're thinking likewow it wouldn't know
40:04 the upto-date stuff and it wouldn't know
40:06 the customer
40:07 service like I can hear you already and
40:11 stop your whining it it makes your face
40:13 look
40:14 funny yeah
40:17 Kyle don't do
40:19 that I'm trying to look out for
40:24 you no internet on 1800 okay a doesn't
40:28 surprise me
40:30 but one of the things that they
40:32 announced two weeks ago on
40:35 Friday was reinforcement
40:38 fine-tuning where you can train up an 01
40:42 model 01 mini on a specific knowledge
40:46 domain so imagine training up a custom
40:50 model on your knowledge like think think
40:53 like a custom GPT you train it on your
40:56 knowledge and let's say that open AI
40:58 figures out how to connect those custom
41:00 gpts to This Global 800 number
41:06 right and then someone can get on there
41:08 and say hey do you want an answer for a
41:10 specific
41:11 company and you say yeah and then when
41:14 you say it it basically looks in it its
41:16 database and says do we have any custom
41:19 customer service applications for that
41:21 company and then it starts answering on
41:23 behalf of that company like that's it it
41:26 doesn't do that right now to be clear
41:29 but like the distance between this thing
41:32 as a kind of general knowledge Global
41:36 single phone number for for all of the
41:39 knowledge of all of humanity that you
41:40 can just call and ask it in any language
41:44 like that's what it is now holy [ __ ] we
41:46 live in the
41:48 future and like think of this thing a
41:50 year out when they start adding features
41:51 to it and you can do function calling
41:53 and you can actually do applications on
41:55 this and you can actually it's tied to
41:58 autonomous agents hey CH JP and it you
42:02 know based on your phone number it logs
42:03 you into your account so it's got your
42:05 memory of the [ __ ] you like and the
42:07 accounts that you're logged
42:09 into holy [ __ ] this is powerful anyway
42:18 [Music]
42:29 it's giving
42:31 [Laughter]
42:36 Matrix I
42:38 mean I mean but like seriously like I'm
42:42 not calling it so we're just going to
42:44 do a salon to keep
42:47 up maybe we could do
42:51 that yeah let's do AI Salon okay listen
42:55 people enough comedy
42:58 jokes if you don't know the AI
43:01 Salon the AI Salon knows you you know it
43:08 doesn't um if you've not been to the AI
43:10 Salon the AI Salon is a group that I
43:12 started the week after chat GPT came out
43:15 in December 7th of 2022 I started it
43:17 with Leah fasten who's a Boston well she
43:20 was a Boston Bas photographer now she's
43:22 kind of a digital Nomad living wherever
43:25 the [ __ ] she wants which is cool
43:29 but she's a professional
43:30 photographer and we started this as a
43:32 group to say hey wouldn't it be swell if
43:36 we could bring creative curious
43:40 adventurous people together who are
43:41 curious about Ai and learn about all
43:43 that [ __ ] together so if you go to the
43:45 salon. and then click on the button that
43:47 says join our
43:48 community it takes you to our
43:53 community and it'll it'll jump you right
43:56 into welcome to the salon and you can
43:58 watch if if if you can't get enough of
44:00 me here you can watch another video of
44:02 me at the salon in our community you
44:05 learn about
44:09 our um journey to AI
44:12 literacy play first mindfully create
44:15 generously
44:18 lead I met I went to a networking event
44:21 tonight and I met this woman who works
44:23 for the
44:24 FDA and I said are you using AI cuz I'm
44:31 insufferable and she was like no I'm
44:33 waiting for regulation she works for the
44:35 FDA so of course she's waiting for
44:37 regulation but she said President
44:40 Biden's executive order in AI was a joke
44:43 was bad
44:44 regulation I said well Colorado's
44:47 regulation was even
44:49 worse it was so bad that when Governor
44:51 paus signed it he had to say this is a
44:53 steaman pile of poo please fix it before
44:56 it goes into an effect
44:58 [Music]
45:02 I said but are you using it in any way
45:04 oh I can't use it at work I'm like okay
45:06 are you using it at home no why because
45:08 it's not regulated like
45:11 okay so I think by the end I got her to
45:15 Oh I said I said okay do this go to chat
45:17 GPT she's got a six-year-old son put in
45:20 your son's name and she goes I would
45:21 never put in his name she freaked out I
45:23 was like okay just his initial okay e so
45:26 yeah just put in E's
45:30 name and then what does e like well e
45:32 likes Legos okay and E likes science
45:34 okay and E right so she knows so I said
45:37 just go put in all the stuff about e and
45:40 then say write me a story that
45:41 incorporates all that stuff and then
45:43 tell it to illustrate that story she
45:46 means she goes you mean like a bedtime
45:47 story I was like
45:49 yeah she's like okay I think I'm going
45:51 to do that right so here's someone who's
45:54 like she's thinking about Ai and
45:58 this
46:01 threatening amorphous entity off to the
46:04 side that she's not even going to
46:07 try until it's all [ __ ] buttoned up
46:09 and
46:10 regulated and I said well how are you
46:12 going to know what that is without
46:14 knowing what that is she's like
46:17 oh so that's the idea here play and then
46:20 and then what you do is you come down
46:23 here we've got seven steps to get
46:24 started introduce yourself learn our
46:26 value
46:28 which are super cool watch some past
46:30 meetings RSVP for upcoming
46:33 events I actually put a feeler out to
46:35 the co-founder and CEO of Runway to see
46:38 if he might be interested in coming to
46:40 speak since he let me into the creative
46:43 partner program maybe uh we can get him
46:46 to come over and talk to us about Runway
46:48 and their future plans and what's going
46:49 on with
46:50 Lionsgate I introduced chat to a
46:52 contractor in Grand Cayman today oh
46:55 speaking of insufferable source out
46:58 recruiting wait wait I introduced chat
47:01 to a contractor in Grand came in today I
47:04 might have changed the entire Island
47:06 Source Camp you probably
47:08 did you probably
47:11 did I
47:15 mean people have no idea they have no
47:17 idea what's here not what's coming
47:19 what's
47:22 here cuz if that contractor all of a
47:25 sudden is like hey we can just take
47:26 pictures of the space and calculate how
47:29 much drywall we need and people like how
47:32 do you do that oh you just put it in
47:34 chat GPT what's chat
47:37 GPT you it will it will change the
47:39 [ __ ] Island that's
47:48 amazing we we you call yourselves the
47:51 Irregulars we should all call ourselves
47:52 the insufferably
47:58 hey h h how you doing my name's Bob
48:00 what's your name oh my name's Kyle hey
48:03 have you ever played with AI uh could
48:06 could you leave me alone
48:10 dude we've already texted several times
48:13 [Laughter]
48:18 today Source Camp tell him about 1 1800
48:21 chat GPT he could be on a work site
48:23 literally on a flip phone and have a
48:26 problem about needing to calculate some
48:28 hey what's the what's the formula again
48:30 for how I how I calculate the area of
48:33 these two things I forget oh yeah you
48:35 just do this this and that right thanks
48:37 chat GPT
48:39 click
48:41 Bonkers Bonkers [ __ ]
48:45 [Music]
48:55 Bonkers it only works in the
48:58 [Music]
49:04 US is Champ back in no champ I think
49:07 champ is out reli relieving himself of
49:10 the cheese8
49:12 [Laughter]
49:20 yesterday yeah yeah oh well that's true
49:23 yeah oh so I get it okay so to clarify
49:26 for source Camp 1 800 chat GPT is only
49:29 for us if you're dialing but everywhere
49:33 else in the world you use WhatsApp I I
49:36 thought that was implied but it's not
49:37 implied good catch so just tell them to
49:40 get WhatsApp I'm sure they have WhatsApp
49:42 if they're in the Caribbean right
49:43 everyone outside of the US uses WhatsApp
49:46 [Music]
50:03 do you have suggestions for large
50:04 database sites that could that I could
50:06 use in chat
50:09 GPT um I don't quite know what you mean
50:11 by large database sites but if you're
50:13 looking for data to do analysis on to
50:16 understand how chat GPT code interpreter
50:19 Works go to cagle.com k a GLE e and you
50:24 can get data sets
50:27 um if you want to do stuff that's a
50:29 little bit more um uh
50:33 programy um I would say do something
50:37 like lovable or cursor or or um repet
50:41 agent where it'll do the coding for you
50:43 and tell it you want to do you want it
50:45 to go find API sources of big databases
50:49 that are regularly
50:50 maintained um what what kaggle is good
50:52 for is if you want some test data to go
50:55 just dick around with kaggle's good for
50:58 that if you want like real time API
51:01 access to databases you're probably
51:03 going to need to do some API work but
51:05 with with the new tools they'll do it
51:07 for
51:09 you I am the unsufferable neighbor on my
51:13 Dead End Road not a
51:18 euphemism no one comes back don't go
51:21 back there don't go back to L she'll on
51:23 no seriously what does she mean no she's
51:25 sweet as pie she's swe she will just
51:28 just don't go back there why not do you
51:31 like AI I don't know well you're gonna
51:34 have a lot of it you're gonna have a lot
51:37 of it it's like you know how sometimes
51:39 people make too much pie and after the
51:41 third piece you're like no I'm good
51:43 she's like that with AI and it it
51:45 doesn't stop it there's bushel barrels
51:49 full of AI conversations back there just
51:51 don't do it just don't do it I'm kind of
51:54 curious about AI don't do it you'll get
51:57 sick I'm telling you you'll get
52:00 sick all
52:02 right um success Sherl Kyle can you
52:06 share a photo with chat and ask it what
52:09 the photo is sure that's a good one all
52:12 right we're digging in we'll do it live
52:15 we'll do it live all
52:18 right so how am I shared I think I'm
52:21 shared the right
52:22 way I think I'm shared the right way so
52:27 anyway go join the salon if you don't go
52:30 it doesn't cost anything this is a
52:32 community of like 2,000 AI
52:36 optimists that are like Curious and
52:39 generous and nice and playful and
52:42 [ __ ] Brave and and just kicking
52:45 ass and you're like I don't want to it
52:49 sounds like work I've got social anxiety
52:52 we've all got social
52:55 anxiety there's like six people out of
52:57 eight billion on this planet that don't
53:00 get [ __ ] flop sweats every time they
53:03 walk into a room anyone that tells you
53:05 any different grew up in a well adjusted
53:09 family and I hate them okay anyway
53:12 moving
53:13 [Laughter]
53:16 on wait what happened over here Brandon
53:20 I lost all the
53:21 pins what wait what what's
53:25 happening did did
53:28 did you get rid of all the Post-it notes
53:30 Brandon all the Post-it notes are
53:32 [Laughter]
53:36 gone
53:37 uh I think I I think Brandon might had a
53:41 situation all the Post-it notes are gone
53:43 all right well hopefully they come back
53:45 it's the only way we
53:47 communicate wait oh private chat hang on
53:50 oh Miro crashed be right back okay yes
53:53 there was a situation okay uh
53:57 how do you know someone's so into AI
53:59 they call themselves an irregular don't
54:01 worry they'll tell you that's a good one
54:04 there's some comedy
54:05 Gold Jeff Flanigan I have kaggle on
54:08 speed dial yeah so if you haven't done
54:11 kaggle do your kaggle exercises get it
54:15 it's no never mind okay right all right
54:19 what are your thoughts about the folks
54:21 who never heard about AI
54:24 um it depends on their itude about it if
54:28 someone just hasn't heard of AI then
54:32 they haven't heard about
54:34 it if
54:36 someone hasn't heard about AI but has an
54:39 opinion about it that makes me
54:42 cranky and then if someone knows about
54:46 Ai and has an opinion about it but is
54:48 not using it that makes me even more
54:51 cranky and not cranky like I'm pissed
54:53 off at them but cranky like I want to
54:57 understand why they're angry about it or
54:58 why they're afraid of
55:00 it and then I want to accept both of
55:04 those and say great understand the fear
55:07 Justified let's go
55:10 play because I think that it is
55:12 inexcusable for anyone right now to
55:15 actively be sitting on the sidelines
55:17 with
55:18 AI not inexcusable for me inexcusable
55:21 for them I just think it's [ __ ] sad
55:24 all right so so what was requested was
55:28 can you go to chat GPT and basically
55:32 demonstrate um GPT Vision so actually
55:35 this was the this was the prompt we did
55:36 the other night so I'll do another
55:38 version of that I could go get a
55:40 different um whiteboard image but this
55:42 is a good one well let's do we'll do
55:44 something other than a whiteboard to
55:46 start so I'm in chat GPT we're in J chat
55:49 GPT 40 um I think you can do this for 01
55:52 reasoning now but we don't need that
55:54 that's that's overkill for this so we're
55:56 going to go grab an image off the
55:59 computer oh I have a good idea let's do
56:03 um
56:10 Factory
56:12 so uh damn okay so let's
56:17 do
56:20 webp webp image
56:27 that's
56:29 good yeah that has the name on it let's
56:35 see let's do
56:48 PNG I'm amazed they seem to think hating
56:50 it hard enough will stop it that so
56:52 that's so here's my point about people
56:54 that are hating on hating on a
56:57 I
56:59 is if you use AI if you actively use
57:05 it and you really understand it and then
57:08 you choose not to use it and you hate
57:11 it I
57:12 am perfectly fine with that I have no
57:15 issues with that I think everyone's got
57:18 to find their own boundaries for for how
57:20 much they want to let let these tools
57:22 into their life because they're invasive
57:25 species to a degree they're going to
57:26 change the way we do everything and so
57:29 some people are going to resist that but
57:31 I like if they're resisting it from a
57:32 place of knowledge I have great respect
57:34 for that but if they're if they're
57:37 resisting it just because they're like
57:39 they're just like they make that
57:40 face I he I the world's greatest
57:43 plagiarism machine it hallucinates it's
57:46 not good it can't do math it steals
57:48 people's images it
57:50 does all that generally means they
57:54 haven't tried it
57:56 deep opinions about it but haven't tried
57:59 it and then what ends up happening is
58:02 those people when they do try it are
58:05 usually the ones that kind of fall the
58:06 hardest and they're like oh my God this
58:08 is amazing they have they have their
58:10 first Kevin McAllister moment there oh
58:13 my
58:15 God and and then they become
58:21 converts uh let's see let's see people I
58:25 want to get an image here that's got
58:28 something something we
58:34 can that's kind of cool actually that's
58:37 a good
58:40 one all right so the queen says D and
58:44 the King says R so these are clearly
58:46 from
58:47 another country so let's put that image
58:50 in there there's some text on there so
58:52 let's say
58:54 um describe this
58:58 and tell
59:00 me the
59:02 country
59:04 and
59:06 estimated
59:08 year those playing
59:13 cards
59:15 were made
59:23 [Music]
59:26 the visuals titled history of playing
59:30 cards featuring an introduction the king
59:33 the Queen the jackets curated by Kyle
59:36 Shannon the face card shown resembles a
59:39 traditional European style particularly
59:41 the French deck based on the artistic
59:44 style these cards would have originated
59:46 in France in the 17th and 18th industry
59:49 this estimation aligns with the
59:50 widespread standardization of cards okay
59:53 um what do the letters mean let's
59:58 assume this is going to know the the
1:00:01 French words for king and
1:00:03 queen or if not we'll have
1:00:06 found okay d stands for Dom French term
1:00:09 for Queen R stands for raw raw Patrick
1:00:14 raw French term for
1:00:16 King come on
1:00:18 champy come on I still love you are you
1:00:21 good now are you good are you good no
1:00:24 more whining like a cat h
1:00:27 yes oh is a good boy oh is a good boy
1:00:32 um so it can it can analyze images I
1:00:35 could also say um type
1:00:38 out all the
1:00:40 words on the
1:00:45 page types out types out all the words
1:00:47 on the page oh wait hang on Brandon I
1:00:50 made the when I was trying to find the
1:00:52 things I made them super
1:00:54 small YouTube spotlight
1:00:57 okay all right Brandon's back that's
1:01:00 good YouTube Spotlight I don't see it
1:01:03 which one okay archetype of architect I
1:01:05 can't imagine using it and being able to
1:01:07 stop it's the single most widely useful
1:01:10 thing ever made and that includes sliced
1:01:13 bread that's kind of my point I don't
1:01:16 know anyone I know a lot of people who
1:01:19 are afraid of AI or pissed off about
1:01:22 AI then I said awesome glad you are you
1:01:26 know it's not going away right why don't
1:01:28 you give it a shot oh okay I guess I
1:01:32 could it's just like Google right yeah I
1:01:35 know what it is I've I I used chat GPT
1:01:37 once yeah I was not impressed okay
1:01:40 okay and then they [ __ ] try
1:01:43 it and it melts their [ __ ] face every
1:01:47 single
1:01:49 time and they don't go back they don't
1:01:51 go back from it you don't go back from
1:01:55 AI it is an invasive
1:01:58 species because here's the secret about
1:02:01 it what it does is it amplifies who you
1:02:05 are it makes you better at what you want
1:02:09 to do that's what it really does and so
1:02:13 it's like a it's like a drug it's like
1:02:16 this is the it's this is amazing why
1:02:18 would you not use this to archetype
1:02:20 archetypal Architects Point like you you
1:02:23 you we have literally been given
1:02:27 right we've literally been
1:02:29 handed the technical equivalent of
1:02:35 magic and when you experience
1:02:38 it I I hate to say it pate if you're
1:02:40 listening it is magical it's not magic
1:02:44 it's math
1:02:46 magical it's math
1:02:49 magical but it occurs as magic any
1:02:52 sufficiently advanced technology occurs
1:02:54 as magic
1:02:56 it occurs as magic
1:02:59 because we know how computers work and
1:03:02 we know how databases work and we know
1:03:04 that it shouldn't be possible that you
1:03:07 can just ask this thing anything and it
1:03:10 knows it it just doesn't make sense so
1:03:15 anyway if you ever scan something and
1:03:18 you don't want to type the words you can
1:03:20 not type the words text is cut off so
1:03:22 I'm going to say
1:03:24 um for that first
1:03:28 paragraph um
1:03:32 finish the rest of the page based on
1:03:38 what you can
1:03:44 see here's a
1:03:52 continuation right so it took
1:03:57 this little snippet of text at the
1:03:58 bottom of this thing and it wrote three
1:04:00 paragraphs about it and I don't need to
1:04:03 read it it's probably pretty
1:04:05 good all right let's do another thing if
1:04:08 you haven't seen if you haven't seen
1:04:10 this if you haven't seen chat GPT do
1:04:13 this it it's [ __ ] Bonkers and right
1:04:15 like someone who doesn't use chat GPT is
1:04:17 like well yeah but that it's just doing
1:04:20 OCR computers have done OCR for 20 years
1:04:23 that's not that impressive
1:04:28 I I have a degree yeah in uh yeah I've
1:04:31 been an engineer for a lot of years if
1:04:33 you know what I mean yeah we know what
1:04:35 you
1:04:36 mean you're missing the
1:04:40 point watch what this
1:04:43 does I like I've done this demo 25
1:04:47 [ __ ] times it blows my mind every
1:04:49 time
1:04:50 whiteboard
1:04:52 whiteboard
1:04:54 whiteboard whiteboard M
1:04:58 tasty so when I first found this I went
1:05:01 on Google and I said whiteboard images
1:05:05 and I just found one that looked like it
1:05:06 had crap on it like there's some screens
1:05:10 there's some bullet points I never even
1:05:11 read
1:05:14 it my my niece is in grad school and
1:05:16 they're illustrating why not to use
1:05:20 it this is unfuckingbelievable
1:05:23 not 100% accurate I asked her about
1:05:28 prompt I asked about her prompt
1:05:31 definitely bad she wanted nothing to do
1:05:34 with it yeah I know it's yeah it's like
1:05:36 the the demonizing the demonizing of AI
1:05:39 right now is is is slightly comical but
1:05:43 the fact that our educational
1:05:44 institutions are doing it makes my
1:05:46 [ __ ] blood
1:05:48 boil it's evil it's an evil robots evil
1:05:51 robots are going to kill us no
1:05:56 not this
1:05:58 year all right so I uploaded the uh
1:06:02 What's this called the Whiteboard image
1:06:05 right watch how sophisticated so this is
1:06:08 the thing in order to use this feature
1:06:10 right you have to really be good at
1:06:12 prompt engineering you have to do really
1:06:14 sophisticated prompting I am a linguist
1:06:17 I I I I have a degree in acting I've
1:06:20 written seven screenplays words are my
1:06:24 butter that is on a Saltine cracker I
1:06:28 some people have a way with words other
1:06:31 people not have
1:06:35 way name that comedian name that
1:06:38 comedian if you've been here before you
1:06:39 should know this all right um watch
1:06:43 watch how sophisticated this prompt is
1:06:45 uh here let's put that in
1:06:50 uh what is this
1:07:00 this image is of a whiteboard outlining
1:07:01 the design and workflow for a food
1:07:03 ordering user interface specifically
1:07:06 aimed at international airports where
1:07:09 the main steps user types use cases and
1:07:12 potential features for a system that
1:07:14 involves ordering food and drinks
1:07:16 through a tablet or app here's a
1:07:18 breakdown of the content of the
1:07:19 Whiteboard the key points ordering UI
1:07:22 users benefits main steps in the
1:07:24 workflow why are frame sketches
1:07:27 questions additional
1:07:29 features this looks like an early stage
1:07:32 brainstorming
1:07:36 session Tik Tock thinks Carlin ain't
1:07:41 wrong George Carlin is not joking about
1:07:45 word play not a bad
1:07:49 guess not a bad
1:07:52 guess think more absur
1:07:57 arrow through the head kind of Comedy
1:08:00 Steve Martin CLA Jacobs gets it Steve
1:08:03 Martin some people have a way with words
1:08:06 other people not have way I guess you'd
1:08:09 [Laughter]
1:08:13 say Claire Jacobs you can make Mone
1:08:17 with she gets the golden
1:08:21 button okay so we asked chat GPT what
1:08:24 the hell is this and it told us like in
1:08:26 in like shockingly good
1:08:29 detail so you know how many time okay
1:08:32 for all my adders out
1:08:34 there if you've got add I promise you
1:08:37 you're good at whiteboarding and and I
1:08:38 bet whiteboarding is one of your
1:08:40 favorite things to do right because this
1:08:43 is where the adrenaline happens this is
1:08:44 where the endorphins are and then what
1:08:47 do you do what do you
1:08:49 do ad deers what do you
1:08:53 do if you've really got your [ __ ]
1:08:55 together
1:08:56 you take a picture of it with your
1:08:58 iPhone and then you transfer that to
1:09:00 your photos app and then what do you do
1:09:03 with
1:09:06 it right if you're really accomplished
1:09:08 you'll print it out on a piece of paper
1:09:10 and you'll hang it on a wall but then
1:09:11 what do you do with
1:09:13 that
1:09:16 nothing because transcribing a
1:09:18 whiteboard is not fun and thinking about
1:09:21 which software application you have to
1:09:24 use to make those wire frame things is
1:09:27 annoying and at best what you'll do is
1:09:29 you'll take those wireframes and just
1:09:31 cut them out of this picture and stick
1:09:33 them in a PowerPoint presentation and
1:09:34 just go this is the ordering screen you
1:09:37 figure it
1:09:38 out
1:09:40 imagine if there were a tool where you
1:09:43 could just take that picture say with
1:09:46 the chat GPT app on your phone and
1:09:49 literally just say what is
1:09:52 this and there's your notes from your
1:09:54 brainstorming meeting and then you do
1:09:56 this um write a marketing plan that
1:10:02 includes a section for guidance
1:10:09 on how to name the app in a way that is
1:10:17 memorable
1:10:22 original oh stop
1:10:24 it the
1:10:26 in
1:10:27 all and fun
1:10:32 go uh oh there was a Tik Tock pin I
1:10:35 missed it what's going on Tik Tock
1:10:40 [Music]
1:10:42 people
1:10:44 Tams I upload pics to chat GPT for it to
1:10:48 tell me the color hex codes freaking
1:10:50 love it perfect use
1:10:52 case you got a photo you're like I'd
1:10:55 sort of like to use use the that orange
1:10:56 in there upload it what are the hex
1:10:59 codes in here it'll break it down it's
1:11:01 it's genius at that oh yeah actually
1:11:03 I'll do that one next all right grab and
1:11:06 fly nice all right so here's our here's
1:11:10 our
1:11:11 strategy I'm going to say that's a
1:11:15 little
1:11:17 thin I want you to act
1:11:22 like an anal
1:11:27 retentive
1:11:29 retentive OCD freak who loves the
1:11:37 details um
1:11:40 trains ain't bad
1:11:47 either
1:11:50 okay um give it another shot until you
1:11:56 are satisfied now this might seem stupid
1:12:01 what I'm
1:12:02 doing and it is but set
1:12:08 isied one of the things I think people
1:12:10 sometimes Miss with chat VT is
1:12:14 that it's as good as you are it it's
1:12:18 it's it's actually an incredible
1:12:20 mirror if you give it a lazy prompt it
1:12:23 will give you a lazy answer if you give
1:12:26 it lots of context it will give you a
1:12:29 good answer a better answer if you give
1:12:31 it feedback and say' no no no that was
1:12:33 too simple I want you to act more
1:12:35 detailed now I did it in a silly way
1:12:37 because I'm trying to do
1:12:41 edutainment and to mansplain that to you
1:12:44 edutainment is the combination of
1:12:52 [Music]
1:12:53 educ look we got a long thing is it any
1:12:56 good I don't know that's not important
1:12:58 right now um give
1:13:01 me 100
1:13:05 names based on
1:13:13 this
1:13:16 okay oh look it even categorized the
1:13:19 names right because I told it to be anal
1:13:21 retentive in OCD it's categorizing the
1:13:24 100 names action oriented names food
1:13:27 themed names like when you have an
1:13:29 employee that just has a completely
1:13:32 different brain than you have like like
1:13:34 my brain is I want it to be fast I don't
1:13:37 want it to be thought out I'm like just
1:13:39 I gotta synthesize it immediately other
1:13:42 people like no no we got to be you know
1:13:44 uh whatever you call it um
1:13:47 thorough well chachy PT lets you do both
1:13:50 right uh Tik Tock
1:13:54 pin you're like a mixed up of Bill Bill
1:13:57 Murray and Chevy Chase of modern times
1:14:00 thank I'll take it I'll take it holy
1:14:03 [ __ ] Bill Murray and Chevy Chase in the
1:14:05 same insane person I'm
1:14:07 in
1:14:09 okay so we got all these names so now
1:14:11 watch what I can do I'm gonna flip over
1:14:15 I can't okay 01 reasoning is not
1:14:17 available so once you what did we do did
1:14:20 we search the internet I don't know
1:14:22 whatever I'm gonna say select all I'm
1:14:24 gonna I'm gonna copy all of this
1:14:26 [ __ ] everything we've got here oh except
1:14:29 the picture you can't use 01 if you use
1:14:31 a picture so I'm going to copy all of
1:14:35 it okay boom then I'm GNA go to a new
1:14:39 chat and I'm going to go to 01 reasoning
1:14:43 okay this is the new
1:14:47 strawberry reasoning
1:14:50 engine project strawberry supposed to be
1:14:52 super smart so I'm going to say based
1:14:57 on the names at the end of this
1:15:06 conversation let's just do dot dot dot
1:15:08 because we're gen xers we use ellips we
1:15:11 overuse ellipses because we think
1:15:13 they're cool paste there's all that [ __ ]
1:15:16 in there right I pasted it all in there
1:15:19 it is yay then I'm going to go shift
1:15:23 shift I mean shift return to twice then
1:15:26 I'm going to
1:15:27 go I want you to
1:15:34 analyze the
1:15:38 names versus the creative
1:15:42 brief and everything you
1:15:46 know
1:15:49 about product
1:15:52 marketing and consumer
1:15:59 behavior and I want you to write a
1:16:07 detailed report of the top
1:16:12 10 names
1:16:16 with let's see
1:16:18 um from best to
1:16:22 worst with a score
1:16:26 and the
1:16:28 reason and I'll put parentheses s in
1:16:31 case there's more than one the
1:16:36 reasons you
1:16:41 scored the way you
1:16:46 did then I want
1:16:50 you to write
1:16:54 10 t
1:16:56 taglines for the top
1:17:00 name
1:17:01 and
1:17:04 select the top
1:17:07 three with
1:17:09 scores and reasons as well and then
1:17:16 finally give me a
1:17:20 name slash tagline combo
1:17:29 that you think
1:17:33 will drive
1:17:39 engagement and make us all rich
1:17:44 exclamation point
1:17:48 boom okay so now it's off thinking
1:17:53 wrapping up the analysis okay what did
1:17:55 it do it thought for 5 seconds so by the
1:17:58 way if you think this
1:18:00 thing the longest I've gotten it to
1:18:03 think is like a minute and 28 seconds um
1:18:07 I've seen on the internet people are
1:18:08 trying to get it to think longer and
1:18:10 longer it did all of that in five
1:18:12 seconds what did it do if you click on
1:18:14 that it'll tell you what it
1:18:16 did charting the
1:18:19 course I guess it just did two little
1:18:21 things it that was probably such a
1:18:23 stupid question it was like yeah
1:18:24 whatever
1:18:26 okay so let's see all right here we
1:18:29 go the names from best worst grab and
1:18:32 fly 9.5 out of 10 relevance to travel
1:18:35 high speed and convenience grab okay
1:18:37 grab and fly jet bites gate grab 8.8 out
1:18:41 of
1:18:42 10 Sky snacks 8.5 out of 10 terminal
1:18:46 treats 8.3 out of 10 rationale do you
1:18:49 know how much money branding agencies
1:18:52 charge for [ __ ] like this
1:18:56 tens of thousands of
1:18:59 dollars did you notice the prompt that I
1:19:03 wrote do you want to know my prompt
1:19:05 engineering methodology for how I wrote
1:19:09 that so do I I don't have one I just
1:19:13 talk to it like an idiot I just talk to
1:19:16 it like like if I were in a
1:19:18 brainstorming room with a bunch of smart
1:19:21 people as the clueless
1:19:23 CEO I would go uh well
1:19:28 okay as the CEO let me let me delegate
1:19:32 my authority here and say uh go write go
1:19:35 come up with recommendations and I want
1:19:37 the top 10 and I want them rated and I
1:19:39 want you to tell me why and then the
1:19:41 people all scatter out of the room and
1:19:43 like oh [ __ ] we're gonna be judged and
1:19:46 then they go make their PowerPoint
1:19:47 presentation and two weeks later because
1:19:50 they couldn't schedule with me because I
1:19:52 had a dentist appointment I forgot about
1:19:53 and then what then I've got a bad
1:19:56 administrative assistant and just it's
1:19:58 never worked out and it's really my
1:19:59 fault because I didn't hire the right
1:20:01 people and then two weeks later they
1:20:04 come back in and they basically give you
1:20:08 this we just did it in 10
1:20:11 seconds just talk to it like an
1:20:18 employee
1:20:19 taglines there's the top three meals and
1:20:23 minutes take off on time
1:20:25 that's actually really
1:20:29 good what's one of the biggest anxieties
1:20:32 at the airport uh if I order the chalupa
1:20:35 is it going to be done in time for me to
1:20:37 make my
1:20:38 flight yeah I'll have a margarita too
1:20:41 you drink the margarita and I'm like
1:20:43 where's my
1:20:44 chalupa you're looking at your watch and
1:20:46 you're surfing Tik Tok and you're like
1:20:48 oh [ __ ] I forgot lost track of the time
1:20:50 and you're like oh no I only got two
1:20:51 minutes right
1:20:55 fuel on your journey fast eh satisfy
1:20:57 Cravings skip the lines no this is great
1:20:59 this one's the good one that's right
1:21:01 meals and minutes take off on time
1:21:03 winning combo grab and fly meals and
1:21:05 minutes take off on
1:21:10 time crazy
1:21:12 right watch this [ __ ] flip back over to
1:21:19 4.0 make
1:21:20 [Music]
1:21:23 me a
1:21:26 up of the
1:21:28 poster in an
1:21:33 airport
1:21:36 setting based on the
1:21:39 brief and
1:21:42 recomended name I know I have a typo in
1:21:45 there I don't give a
1:21:46 [ __ ]
1:21:48 um make it
1:21:51 modern include the order
1:21:58 screen and
1:22:00 images of the tasty
1:22:04 food I will
1:22:07 eat again what's my prompt strategy talk
1:22:11 to it as if it works for
1:22:22 you Jeff Flanigan did something with GPT
1:22:25 for mini has 30,000 monthly users did
1:22:28 you do that or did someone else do that
1:22:29 that's pretty
1:22:34 cool grab and fly meals and minutes take
1:22:37 off on time look I put it up on the on
1:22:41 the flight the flight
1:22:43 computer there's your ordering
1:22:46 screen there's your tasty food there's
1:22:48 your QR code look it's in the App
1:22:52 Store it's British Airways
1:23:03 this is from
1:23:12 that paying attention yet you still on
1:23:16 the sidelines yeah but I don't know how
1:23:18 to do that Kyle you know how I learned
1:23:20 how to do that acting like an idiot five
1:23:23 nights a week
1:23:28 [Music]
1:23:34 campaign in minutes
1:23:36 yep all
1:23:38 right oh let's do the thing that let's
1:23:40 take this image okay let's take this
1:23:42 image so let's go I want you to create a
1:23:51 brand
1:23:53 color p
1:23:56 palette
1:23:57 palette is that right yeah a brand color
1:24:01 palette based on the
1:24:04 colors in the
1:24:07 poster I
1:24:11 want
1:24:13 three primary
1:24:16 colors a
1:24:18 black a white
1:24:29 black white
1:24:39 oops a gray
1:24:43 and
1:24:46 five uh secondary
1:24:52 colors present
1:24:56 them with the hex
1:25:01 codes in a nice
1:25:06 display and
1:25:10 display and name the
1:25:14 colors
1:25:17 creatively like
1:25:21 crowns
1:25:23 boom analy anzing now when you see it
1:25:26 say analyzing click on that
1:25:29 [ __ ] because what it's actually doing is
1:25:31 it's writing python
1:25:36 code tarmac orange Global green terminal
1:25:44 black so here's what I don't like about
1:25:48 this it defined the colors before
1:25:51 analyzing the image I don't like that
1:25:55 but here's our thing okay so so we're
1:25:58 going to yell at
1:26:00 it we're going to stop it we're going to
1:26:02 go
1:26:04 listen listen listen you Puka
1:26:11 Puka I don't want you just to invent
1:26:18 numbers I want you to an analyze the
1:26:24 poster
1:26:26 colors and
1:26:29 derive your
1:26:34 palette from the most prominent
1:26:39 colors you see so what we're going to go
1:26:42 do is we're going to go back up to this
1:26:44 stupid thing we're g to download this
1:26:48 because apparently it doesn't think it
1:26:50 can see it so we're going to download
1:26:52 that now we're going to re-upload it
1:27:00 where is it was it in
1:27:02 desktop where did it download
1:27:07 it is this it
1:27:10 no
1:27:12 uh yeah there it is
1:27:15 okay all right all right you PUK the
1:27:18 colors you
1:27:19 see I've included the image here bang so
1:27:27 now and so how did I know that it lied
1:27:30 to
1:27:31 me like right now it's okay it's
1:27:33 analyzing so we'll go look at that when
1:27:35 I went to
1:27:36 analyzing all it said was Define the
1:27:39 colors and it made the black and
1:27:42 uninteresting black the white and
1:27:43 uninteresting White and the gray a
1:27:46 medium gray that's
1:27:47 uninteresting so it just says to me that
1:27:50 it just made that [ __ ]
1:27:51 up so let's go look at what it did here
1:27:58 um it's analyzing what's it
1:28:03 doing skill cluster look sklearn cluster
1:28:07 it's bringing in libraries so it can
1:28:08 actually analyze the RGB colors in this
1:28:11 image this is
1:28:13 better extracted color palette from
1:28:16 poster hex it's still going I don't know
1:28:19 what it's doing it's probably
1:28:23 crashing did you do you know that chat
1:28:25 GPT could write and execute python code
1:28:28 and if you ask it something in the
1:28:30 neighborhood of math it just kind of
1:28:31 does this if you didn't know that if you
1:28:35 didn't know that most of these large
1:28:37 language models do some version of this
1:28:40 you're not playing
1:28:43 enough yeah this is definitely
1:28:48 hung
1:28:50 stop try again
1:28:55 and again what's what's the big prompt
1:28:58 engineering here uh that didn't work
1:29:00 could you do it again there
1:29:03 [Laughter]
1:29:07 Bob it done got stuck I know P what are
1:29:10 we gonna do these dang computers they
1:29:13 just don't want to work let's go see if
1:29:15 it did it again yep sklearn cluster
1:29:19 numpy Matt plot lib I think they call it
1:29:23 I would call it live but that sounds
1:29:25 weird so I think lib's
1:29:28 right yeah it's hanging it's not
1:29:32 happy did it what did it
1:29:39 do I don't know it ain't working but
1:29:41 anyway you you keep [ __ ] with it you
1:29:43 get the basic
1:29:44 idea all
1:29:48 right was I I had nothing I I've done
1:29:51 nothing tonight that I intended to do
1:29:59 welcome to chat add my name's Kyle
1:30:02 Channon and I've got ADHD I'm a neuron
1:30:06 nontypical a non tip a neuro ayp I'm
1:30:11 atypically neuro neurotic neuro I don't
1:30:14 my brain don't work good but it works
1:30:17 super good for some stuff but really bad
1:30:19 for the the stuff you think is
1:30:21 important uh tonight I'm going to learn
1:30:26 to educate you on the wonders of artifi
1:30:29 it's really not artificial intelligence
1:30:31 it's more like machine learning uh could
1:30:35 you re-upload the
1:30:37 image I'm gonna say oh wait hang on hang
1:30:40 on hang on this is gonna be
1:30:42 good this is important if you get
1:30:44 frustrated you can say oh chat
1:30:49 GPT I'm not
1:30:52 mad I'm disappointed
1:30:56 disappointed throw back at this thing
1:30:59 what your parents did to
1:31:02 you here you
1:31:04 [Laughter]
1:31:10 go I love yelling at my
1:31:14 computers there you go oh chat
1:31:18 GPT we'll see what it does it's probably
1:31:20 going to it's probably going to crap out
1:31:22 again Tick Tock pin hang on a sec let me
1:31:25 see it
1:31:26 there that should be the whole code
1:31:29 actually yeah it just never went past it
1:31:31 and uh and grabbed it it it you know it
1:31:35 never took it and did anything with
1:31:38 it yeah this you're probably right Pate
1:31:41 this probably is the
1:31:47 full but see it's just
1:31:51 hanging so let me stop it here and say
1:31:56 it it looks
1:31:59 like it
1:32:02 looks like you
1:32:06 wrote the
1:32:08 code to do the analysis on the image but
1:32:14 then got
1:32:17 stuck use that code
1:32:22 and analyze
1:32:25 the image and then build me my stinking
1:32:33 [Laughter]
1:32:40 palette oh Tams I'm not even done with
1:32:42 my tree how did we get
1:32:47 here there's there's so many there's so
1:32:49 many good questions how did we get there
1:32:51 it has ADHD it totally does tell it to
1:32:55 continue to finish it seems the
1:32:57 environment reset again preventing me
1:32:59 from executing the analysis let me
1:33:01 rebuild the environment and reanalyze
1:33:03 the uploaded image for its color palette
1:33:05 hold
1:33:08 tight oh good
1:33:12 lord CEF wondering if they're cray cray
1:33:16 we're all cray cray this is a cray cray
1:33:19 F friendly space you can be [ __ ] nuts
1:33:21 in here we're good we're good with it
1:33:25 just don't be nasty cray cray is fine
1:33:29 nasty that I don't do don't like nasty
1:33:33 I'll be nasty to chat GPT I bet it got
1:33:36 stuck at the same damn place oh no it
1:33:37 looks different what did it
1:33:49 do yeah it's stuck it's stuck all right
1:33:52 whatever
1:33:54 this is th
1:33:56 so this challenge that we're having with
1:33:59 chat gbt this is one of the reasons
1:34:01 engineers in particular get so [ __ ]
1:34:03 frustrated with chat GPT because they
1:34:06 just want to get their work done and if
1:34:09 this slows them down like the whole
1:34:12 theory is this is going to speed you up
1:34:14 because it just writes the code like if
1:34:15 you're clueless about code like I am
1:34:17 this is cool I'll just sit here and dick
1:34:19 with it for a while but if you're
1:34:21 someone like Pate who's like actually
1:34:22 trying to get some work done this is is
1:34:24 maddening so this this is where the
1:34:26 tools are right now they're just
1:34:28 sometimes they have ADHD all right just
1:34:31 popping in to say Mary Christie and uh
1:34:34 Happy New Year from Oz hey Drew what's
1:34:35 happening man hope you're well hope
1:34:38 you're well um all right I'm gonna get
1:34:40 on out of here
1:34:41 so Let Me Entertain You you call this
1:34:46 entertainment I wouldn't call this
1:34:48 entertainment Kyle hey Kyle listen
1:34:52 listen Kyle KY
1:34:54 hey
1:34:59 K where I grew up people couldn't say my
1:35:04 name my name's not the
1:35:13 problem Gwyn Yep this is what turns
1:35:15 people
1:35:16 off probably talking about me going hey
1:35:19 Kyle hey KY that's what turns people off
1:35:23 people are new new people in here going
1:35:25 why does anybody watch this why are so
1:35:28 many people here what is happening 62
1:35:31 people all right it's what is it it's
1:35:34 Wednesday night
1:35:36 okay couple of things tomorrow's day 11
1:35:41 of open AI ship
1:35:43 Miss I'm hoping that the next two days
1:35:46 are going to be really big
1:35:48 announcements I am thinking tomorrow we
1:35:51 get agents or we at least get the
1:35:53 announcement of
1:35:55 agents and Friday we get GPT
1:35:59 4.5 that is my speculation based on
1:36:03 nothing I have no inside
1:36:06 information Sam Alman doesn't know I
1:36:10 exist there have been rumors started
1:36:12 that he's jealous of
1:36:15 me I think it was a a a well-meaning
1:36:18 irregular that started that rumor I had
1:36:21 nothing to do with that
1:36:25 but if Sam's jealous of me
1:36:29 and my success and my good
1:36:32 looks and my
1:36:35 Mastery of the tool he and his merry
1:36:38 band of Engineers have created if my
1:36:40 Mastery of that is intimidating to him
1:36:42 so be it that's my cross to
1:36:50 bear someone was talking about the need
1:36:52 for a Microsoft ad
1:36:54 since we had the Apple
1:36:57 ad yeah well the oh the the Microsoft
1:37:01 there was a Microsoft
1:37:05 um yeah I put those I actually put those
1:37:08 in the
1:37:11 uh I put those in the the uh AI Salon
1:37:17 presentation let me go show you two
1:37:19 videos that I think are worth watching
1:37:24 we'll do a little we'll do a little chat
1:37:26 add moment here give you a little goodie
1:37:29 to send you
1:37:37 off Sacha
1:37:43 [Music]
1:37:45 nadela let's see
1:37:52 um um end of
1:37:58 year yeah this
1:38:11 [Music]
1:38:16 one
1:38:22 okay the pace of AI Innovation this past
1:38:26 year has been truly remarkable but
1:38:28 looking back what stands out most is the
1:38:31 incredible speed at which this
1:38:33 technology has diffused at Microsoft
1:38:37 it's never been about tech for tech sake
1:38:40 but it's about translating Innovation
1:38:42 into real impact one person one
1:38:44 organization one community at a time and
1:38:47 throughout 2024 I've had the privilege
1:38:50 of witnessing countless examples of this
1:38:53 around the world
1:38:54 in Europe cancer researchers are using
1:38:57 an agent they built to automate
1:38:59 administrative tasks so that they can
1:39:01 focus more on what truly matters their
1:39:04 research manufacturers are addressing
1:39:07 labor shortages by programming Machinery
1:39:09 with human language instead of
1:39:11 programming language and city employees
1:39:14 are helping tourists experience one of
1:39:16 the world's most ancient cities in an
1:39:18 entirely new way in Asia Aqua farmers
1:39:22 are improving their fishing yields and
1:39:25 teachers are creating more engaging
1:39:27 lesson plans in less time in South
1:39:30 Africa a university has reduce the time
1:39:32 it takes to enroll new students as they
1:39:35 scale in South America researchers are
1:39:38 now able to identify endangered species
1:39:41 faster than ever as they race to
1:39:43 preserve the rainforest and
1:39:45 entrepreneurs are helping people make
1:39:48 healthier choices about what they eat
1:39:51 and in the United States educators are
1:39:53 finally tur the dream of a personal
1:39:55 tutor into reality for everyone stories
1:39:59 like these inspire me they demonstrate
1:40:02 what is possible when we amplify human
1:40:04 achievement with technology because this
1:40:07 era is not just about AI doing magical
1:40:10 things it's about how each of us can use
1:40:13 AI to realize our
1:40:15 potential that that statement right
1:40:17 there those last two statements is why I
1:40:19 think this is worth watching I mean this
1:40:21 is just corporate draggy kind of
1:40:23 [ __ ] video but those projects are
1:40:26 interesting but just what he says here
1:40:28 at the end is pay attention to it
1:40:30 because this this is one of the more
1:40:32 clear articulations of the value of AI
1:40:35 I've heard in a while is not just about
1:40:39 AI
1:40:42 doing inspire me they demonstrate what
1:40:46 is possible when we amplify human
1:40:48 achievement with when we amplify human
1:40:50 achievement right what what AI does why
1:40:54 it feels magical is it takes your
1:40:56 achievement and it amplifies it right
1:40:59 that's that's why this thing feels so
1:41:02 like like you can't get enough of it is
1:41:05 because you're getting to
1:41:07 self-express in an amplified way and
1:41:10 that's like that that's it for me with
1:41:13 technology because this era is not just
1:41:15 about AI doing magical things it's about
1:41:18 how each of us can use AI to realize our
1:41:21 potential not just about AI doing
1:41:24 magical things to Pat's point it's about
1:41:27 how we can use AI to magnify our
1:41:29 potential that's [ __ ] poetic it's
1:41:32 good and I'm looking forward to how we
1:41:34 build on this promise in the year ahead
1:41:36 thank you all so very much all right so
1:41:39 that's worth
1:41:41 watching and then this one if you
1:41:43 haven't seen the Apple ad um
1:41:47 Apple
1:41:49 airpod um hearing
1:41:59 a is this it
1:42:05 no what did it just
1:42:11 [Music]
1:42:19 do does he always sing like that that's
1:42:22 really annoying
1:42:25 here we go we got it last
1:42:30 week we got it last week I think I know
1:42:33 what it is are you
1:42:35 serious guys thank you you
1:42:41 [Music]
1:42:57 I got the
1:43:00 [Music]
1:43:10 mo
1:43:12 John
1:43:18 listen light the
1:43:21 fire you place the FL flow in the that
1:43:26 you bought
1:43:28 [Music]
1:43:30 today you're so excited
1:43:34 youy happy birthday look at the picture
1:43:38 of me and you daddy look at the
1:43:41 [Music]
1:43:46 Moon I am a
1:43:49 robot what is that
1:43:55 everything is easy
1:43:59 cuz I love
1:44:02 you
1:44:05 [Music]
1:44:11 [Music]
1:44:14 you don't
1:44:18 cry ah love that commercial um you know
1:44:23 is that it's not an AI commercial but
1:44:25 like for me the accessibility that AI is
1:44:29 about to deliver on the world like
1:44:31 that's very much in line with it so all
1:44:34 right and if you don't know that the new
1:44:36 airpod Pro 2 can act as hearing aids so
1:44:41 you basically have an app on your phone
1:44:43 that you do all the fine-tuning that you
1:44:46 do with real hearing aids and they can
1:44:47 act as hearing aids that's we're going
1:44:49 to get a pair of those for my wife's
1:44:52 mother who is having hearing issues so
1:44:55 anyway that's that okay Brandon pointed
1:44:57 out we can't end it on that bummer um
1:45:00 fine so we're gonna go we're gonna go
1:45:03 somewhere wait you can't see that yet
1:45:06 dang
1:45:06 [Laughter]

1:53:49 video from images of Santa I missed that
1:53:52 the PIN went
1:54:00 away look at my hair Amy Mama am I
1:54:04 pretty am I pretty so why would you do
1:54:09 two 12-hour
1:54:12 days in the in between Christmas and New
1:54:15 Year so Ann Murphy and I last year we
1:54:17 did a thing called gpts for good where
1:54:20 this community built 150 custom gpts for
1:54:24 nonprofits this year it's all about you
1:54:27 it's all about training as many people
1:54:28 as possible on a bunch of cool [ __ ] we
1:54:31 we've got technical things in there
1:54:33 we've got people from different
1:54:34 communities it's going to be awesome I
1:54:37 need to do a Santa video from images of
1:54:40 Santa and small pres images to video so
1:54:45 Mr it two simple things go to um Mid
1:54:50 Journey or or even chat GPT create the
1:54:54 images and then you just take those
1:54:56 images to any one of
1:54:59 the the video generating tools I think
1:55:03 cing gives
1:55:04 you daily credits I
1:55:08 think does pika pika doesn't I think
1:55:12 cing
1:55:15 does Runway I think you can do 10 bucks
1:55:18 a month and get some amount of credits
1:55:20 and basically you just upload the image
1:55:22 and then you can just hit generate you
1:55:24 should be able to do that very very
1:55:25 quickly Sora yeah if you've got Sora you
1:55:28 can use Sora so yeah just upload the
1:55:30 image and just tell it what you want
1:55:31 Santa to do now if you're like but the
1:55:35 videos suck yeah that's where we are
1:55:38 right
1:55:40 now okay so
1:55:45 tomorrow um what time's that n event and
1:55:47 where's that listed um
1:55:53 in the salon
1:55:55 okay um where in the
1:55:59 salon other events got it okay so go
