Live Stream2025-01-242:02:18216 views
Description
Day 1/30 AI DEEP DIVE
This AI Learning Lab live stream, hosted by Kyle Shannon, focuses on OpenAI's new feature, Operators. Shannon demonstrates Operators' ability to perform tasks using a web browser, such as making restaurant reservations through OpenTable, ordering groceries via Instacart, and searching for items on eBay. He emphasizes the tool's safety features, highlighting how it requests user confirmation before taking significant actions like making purchases. He also discusses the potential impact of AI agents on the future of work, suggesting that adaptability and community engagement will be crucial skills in the coming years. He encourages viewers to join the AI Salon community for support and collaboration.

Shannon also showcases the creation of a podcast using JellyPod, a platform for generating podcasts with AI-designed voices and concepts. He plays a clip from the podcast and demonstrates the process of creating a new episode, including generating a script and adding intro music. He concludes the stream by sharing a video of Operator in action, set to music generated by Sunno, and promoting upcoming events like Friday Night Date Night and AI Office Hours on LinkedIn. He encourages viewers to brainstorm potential uses for Operator.

0:07 let's do a countdown timer shall we 0:10 [Music] 0:27 [Music] 0:41 [Music] 0:55 oh 0:56 [Music] 1:04 place I can rest my 1:11 poor together my thoughts and 1:19 silence is this place where the feelings 1:27 on from over it to 1:32 silence and busy place I can slowly face 1:37 the only one I truly truly can 1:42 know these are tears from a 1:47 long got these tears from a long time 1:51 ago I need to cry years 1:56 of these are tears from a long time 2:00 [Music] 2:07 [Applause] 2:08 [Music] 2:11 well old darling Oh Darling you say unto 2:17 [Applause] 2:19 me where have you been all my 2:25 life hang on people I'll get there for 2:28 youa 2:30 have been swimming the seven sad 2:36 Seas four women have toss me 2:41 their i' P into the darker i' War them 2:47 but I didn't 2:50 know these are tears from a long time 2:55 ago got these tears from a long time ago 3:00 to cry 30 3:03 years these tears from a long 3:07 [Music] 3:09 time 3:11 [Music] 3:27 go beautiful beautiful 3:30 singing by one champ Shannon fantastic D 3:33 he's done now he's walking away Union 3:35 dog one song and out um hope you're all 3:38 well tonight 3:45 tonight tonight is day one of 30 of 30 3:51 days of deep Dives 3:54 now what does that actually mean I don't 3:57 know as Brandon pointed out to me one of 3:59 the one of the nicknames for the channel 4:01 here by by the way my name is Kyle 4:02 Shannon this is the AI learning lab 4:04 we're going to be learning some [ __ ] we 4:06 got Labs well he's not really a pure 4:08 bread it's more of a mut he's it he's 4:11 not a lab anyway this is a lab it's a 4:14 shitty home office that's it's a $0 4:17 million Production Studio made to look 4:19 like a shitty home office all of that 4:22 aside uh I'm Kyle Shannon 4:25 welcome as you can probably guess from 4:28 this intro one of the nicknames of the 4:30 channel is Chad add and uh and my my 4:33 producer Brandon there pointed out uh 4:35 there's not much more Chad addd like 4:39 than starting a one of 30day Deep dive 4:43 uh uh 4:45 concept on a Thursday with no 4:51 [Music] 4:55 notice looking forward to looking 4:57 forward to learning a lot about 4:58 operators tonight so we are going to 5:00 play with operators 5:02 tonight um operators came out tonight 5:06 the this the topic is 5:09 [Music] 5:18 operators um one of the things that that 5:21 we'll do is we'll go play with them um 5:31 I'm going to try not to go on my little 5:33 rants sometimes someone ask someone will 5:35 ask me a question like um why do you 5:39 think Chad add is worth 20 bucks and 5:41 then for 45 minutes I don't shut up I'm 5:45 gonna try not to do any of those 5:48 extraneous rants I apparently love them 5:52 but it but it kind of flies in the face 5:54 of deep diving um but this is still 5:58 chadad so there's absolutely a 6:01 possibility we never get to operators 6:03 tonight no we will it's a deep dive 6:06 we're going to get to operators so if 6:08 you're new here welcome if you're on 6:10 YouTube please subscribe and then just 6:13 put a little if you got a Post-It note 6:16 you know the ones that you put your 6:17 password on um take one of those Post-it 6:19 notes and just write on it you know 6:22 after the live uh hit play on some 6:25 YouTube videos for the AI learning lab 6:27 thanks we're trying to get our view our 6:29 view number 6:30 up now you could actually watch them but 6:34 you know that's no 6:36 fun 6:37 [Music] 6:38 um if you're over on X hello how's it 6:42 going hope you're doing well if you're 6:44 on Tik Tock you know I love you the Tik 6:46 Tok Tik tok's where this all started why 6:48 we're on all these other streams the X 6:51 and the YouTube is because uh I don't 6:53 know if you knew this the uh the uh the 6:57 uh absolutely functional 7:00 bipartisan government we have here in 7:03 the United States they they passed a law 7:06 protecting our privacy thank goodness 7:09 right um and so they they but anyway 7:12 they they they did a ban on this thing 7:14 called Tik Tock and but it's back but 7:16 it's not but it is but it's not but it's 7:18 sort of there but the algorithm's 7:20 different and everybody's all upset and 7:21 they think it's part of meta now 7:24 anyway hey ticktock we shaking if you 7:28 have questions about AI pop in the 7:30 comments below I will also uh do my best 7:35 to 7:38 monitor I will do my best to monitor 7:41 comments and Brandon and Vicky and folks 7:43 moderators will help 7:46 me 7:48 [Music] 7:56 um okay so yeah let me let me talk to 7:59 you about oper Ator so operators came 8:01 out today couple of things about them 8:03 they're only available right now to chat 8:06 GPT Pro 8:08 users I was not a chat GPT Pro user I 8:11 didn't for 8:14 me going from 01 to 01 8:19 Pro I like I'm not smart enough to use 8:22 01 8:23 well but operators are a completely 8:26 different thing operators are the 8:30 beginnings of autonomous agents and and 8:33 Cat GPT seems to have done it pretty 8:35 well uh and so we'll dig into that we'll 8:38 start playing with 8:39 them um they're only 8:42 available to Pro users that's the $200 a 8:46 month um uh subscription um is it worth 8:52 it I don't [ __ ] know it's a lot of 8:55 [ __ ] 8:57 money but I've got them and we'll start 9:01 playing with them you got to wear the 9:03 shock color for this to work I totally 9:04 got to wear the shock color for this to 9:06 work um some other interesting news from 9:10 open AI today 9:13 um in the past week or so there's been a 9:16 lot of noise about this new model out of 9:19 China called Deep seek 9:21 R1 that is outperforming uh chat gbt 9:26 01 um and a lot of people kind of losing 9:30 their minds over it well and it's free 9:33 so Sam Alman today announced that when 9:36 they launch O3 mini the new you know the 9:41 the 01 replacement the little mini 9:43 version of it uh which is about as good 9:46 as 01 uh that's going to be made 9:48 available for free users as well as plus 9:51 and pro users um which I think that's a 9:53 pretty big deal all right 9:56 [Music] 10:00 I checked deep seek and seem to like it 10:02 better yeah one of the things that I 10:05 think uh Ethan mullik posted about this 10:07 today and I was thinking the same thing 10:09 one of the things I've noticed about why 10:12 people like deep seek better one is that 10:15 it's you know it's hitting benchmarks 10:16 and things like that um but a lot of the 10:20 comments are 10:22 about how friendly it is and how it's 10:27 um how informal it is and Ethan mullik 10:30 posted about this today and I I posted I 10:33 I did it on a live here about a year ago 10:36 where it became clear to me that these 10:39 large language models have 10:41 personalities and we're going to start 10:43 to fall in love with the personalities 10:46 of the large language models not fall in 10:47 love with but but like we're going to 10:50 imprint on the way chat GPT talks to you 10:53 or the way Claude talks to you or the 10:55 way deep seek talks to you and it's not 10:57 going to be so much whether it's better 10:59 or not it's going to be like is it 11:01 better for you like do you like that 11:03 thing's personality so um so it's 11:06 possible that deep seek is just you know 11:08 Charming the pants off of everyone and 11:10 that's why they like it better but we'll 11:12 see but uh I did see 11:17 today someone got deep seek like a an 11:21 optimized version of it running on a 11:22 Raspberry Pi it looked like a souped up 11:24 Raspberry Pie it had a it had a a hat on 11:28 it or whatever the [ __ ] they call those 11:29 things an additional 11:32 board it's less clined to deliver a 11:35 lecture by way of an answer there you 11:37 [Music] 11:44 go ah the the the uh Raspberry Pi had 32 11:48 gigabytes of vram that makes 11:53 sense won't it be adorable if Tik Tock 11:55 gets banned but deep seek isn't outlawed 11:58 well I don't think they how well I guess 12:00 they could Outlaw deep seek but why 12:02 would they do 12:03 [Music] 12:05 that stranger things have happened 12:08 [Music] 12:12 [Applause] 12:13 [Music] 12:19 [Applause] 12:20 [Music] 12:24 man okay Deep 12:27 dive deep dive well I I thought when 12:32 when when are you going to start to Deep 12:33 dive I came in here I'm expecting is 12:35 this is a this is a learning lab right 12:37 are you the professor is this Are You 12:39 The Substitute Professor why would they 12:41 send in a substitute if this is the 12:43 first day of 30 30 days of Deep dive is 12:46 are you even qualified for this how 12:49 how oh my what what is this channel okay 12:53 YouTube Spotlight Jeff fenan I'm happy I 12:57 introduced my neighbors homeschool 12:59 students to chat GPT and the mom their 13:02 teacher is excited she should be [ __ ] 13:04 excited do you know how smart I feel 13:07 Matt like it used to be I was like 13:09 Google smart but now I'm like chat GPT 13:12 smart it's it's a whole different level 13:14 of smart because I can give you 13:17 commentary now not just a shitty Google 13:20 synopsis I can give you pages of why the 13:26 Mesopotamian 13:27 oligarchy ate snail 13:30 [Laughter] 13:38 oh good lord okay 13:40 so couple of things we're going to do 13:42 here tonight 13:45 um a big part of this community when 13:48 we're not live and and yucking it up 13:50 here on the on the 13:52 internets um a lot of this community 13:55 hangs out 14:00 at this place called the AI salon so if 14:02 you don't know the AI Salon go to that 14:04 URL the 14:06 salon. click on the button that says 14:08 join our 14:10 community and that's going to take 14:14 you 14:17 [Music] 14:19 to that's going to take you to the AI 14:23 Salon it's going to land you right here 14:26 on this here page there's a little 14:27 welcome video talk about how we like to 14:30 play first mindfully create and 14:32 generously lead we've got all all sorts 14:35 of cool values like curiosity and 14:38 playfulness and empathy and bravery 14:44 generosity 14:47 um and we have clubs clubs and hubs and 14:52 clubs are little private areas little 14:54 subcommunities of the salon so if you 14:57 scroll down to the bottom one one of 14:59 those clubs is called the Irregulars and 15:02 that's this group that all met here on 15:05 this live we have our own little space 15:08 and we get to hang out there and share 15:10 cool things and have chitter chat and 15:13 sometimes I'll have people build stuff 15:14 and you can dump it in there uh but but 15:17 anyway go check out the salon if you 15:18 haven't if you haven't played with the 15:20 salon or been there it's worth it couple 15:23 of things about 15:26 Community it is very very clear to me 15:29 now that 2025 is going to be the start 15:33 of the disruption that it's going to be 15:35 clear that we 15:39 have 15:41 co-workers that are not people that are 15:44 better than we are and that's going to 15:46 start in 2025 so there's going to be 15:48 some disruption I think one of the 15:50 single best ways you can hedge against 15:54 the disruption that's coming is to get 15:57 your ass into a community start being a 16:00 trusted contributing 16:03 ndy member of that 16:07 Community right because what's going to 16:10 happen is there's going to be a shift 16:12 from we hire people because they've got 16:15 skills to we hire people because we know 16:17 and trust them now I don't know how long 16:21 that transition takes I think it's 16:23 probably three to five years but it 16:25 could happen faster but it starts in 16:27 2025 so getting yourself into a 16:30 community like uh she leads AI or the AI 16:34 exchange or the AI 16:36 Salon is important and don't just be in 16:39 there lurking part of the part of the 16:41 thing we talk about this idea of 16:43 generous 16:44 leadership generously lead others 16:47 enriching lives refining what's possible 16:49 and unlocking a new era of human 16:51 achievement what that looks like 16:54 is Learn out Loud share what you're 16:57 learning you know offer to help people 16:59 people ask for help give someone else a 17:01 chance to 17:03 lead in doing that you'll build 17:05 relationships you'll also establish 17:07 yourself as someone who can get things 17:09 done and is curious and is 17:12 adaptable hyper curiosity and Hyper 17:17 adaptability are going to be the skills 17:20 starting in 2025 that get rewarded in 17:23 business hyper curiosity willing to play 17:27 willing to experiment willing to figure 17:29 it out out and Hyper adaptability okay I 17:32 just built this thing oh [ __ ] now 17:34 operators came out and it made that 17:35 useless whatever next moving on here let 17:39 me tell you what I'm 17:41 learning that ability to be nimble like 17:44 that is going to be the skill for some 17:47 time and then combine that with being in 17:49 a community of people that know you and 17:52 trust you and understand you what's 17:54 going to happen is 17:56 this bunch of people are going to get 17:58 laid off some people will be curious and 18:01 end up in groups like the AI 18:03 Salon some people in the AI Salon are 18:06 going to get really good at this [ __ ] 18:08 and they're going to get hired because 18:10 they're really good at this [ __ ] and at 18:12 some point they're going to have more 18:13 work than they know what to do with who 18:15 do you think they're going to 18:18 hire they're going to hire people from 18:20 in here I think that's one of the big 18:23 unlocks starting in 2025 so get your ass 18:26 in community all right boom see what I'm 18:29 saying you see what I'm 18:32 saying you 18:35 make um one more thing we've got to do 18:39 before we go 18:41 to um operators I'm my God is he ever 18:46 gonna shut up it's like that was like a 18:47 big ad for the AI Salon I don't even 18:49 know what the AI Salon is it probably 18:51 cost like a million 18:53 dollars no it's free it's free it's free 18:57 people um 19:00 okay 19:01 so last night we 19:05 started we we had uh we had a guy named 19:08 Pearson on who came up on the live here 19:11 with me who created this company called 19:13 jelly pod jelly pod. a and you can make 19:18 from scratch your own podcast with with 19:21 your own characters and your own uh and 19:26 your own Concepts and so last night this 19:28 is what we did we actually did a deep 19:30 dive last night so technically this is 19:32 day two of day 30 we did a deep dive on 19:35 Jelly pod and we made we made a new 19:37 podcast called what the 19:39 fact um and uh we've got here here's 19:43 I'll let you hear a little bit of this 19:44 oh I gotta change my tabs hang on gotta 19:47 change my 19:53 sharing 19:56 dang we've got a fascinating episode 19:58 ahead for you today but before we dive 20:01 into the bizarre case of an actual war 20:03 against birds of all things we need to 20:06 take a moment to thank our sponsor oh ho 20:08 here we go is it finally a bird seed 20:10 company not quite but you're close in 20:13 spirit this week we're excited to be 20:16 sponsored by the AI Salon a community of 20:19 AI optimist so anyway so those those 20:21 voices we designed those voices uh you 20:24 know with comedy in mind actually chat 20:26 GPT designed those voices we we prompted 20:29 C GPT and then it came up with some 20:31 podcast Concepts we had it analyze them 20:34 and pick the one that it thought was 20:35 most memorable this was the one that one 20:38 um so we're gonna make a new episode 20:40 tonight so let me change my sharing 20:43 again because that's how we have to do 20:44 it here because Google and apple are in 20:48 a competitive State and they don't want 20:50 to support each other's technology so it 20:53 makes us the customer 20:57 suffer if only it weren't true true 21:00 okay um so we're going to go to chat 21:04 je we're going to go get episode Three 21:08 Bananas the fruit that cloned itself to 21:11 the top I think we just grabbed the 21:13 title of this thing first 21:17 copy then we go over here to jelly 21:22 pod black 21:24 bar and I have intro music now correct 21:27 so we're going to do new episode 21:30 I'm at jelly pod. if you're wondering 21:32 where I am and what I'm 21:35 doing ready to K create your podcast 21:38 okay so we need we need the instructions 21:41 so let's go back to chat 21:49 GPT 21:52 okay so there's our our destructions 21:55 there's our 21:56 destructions add source and then we're 21:59 going to go get our URL from Wikipedia 22:02 from this event because this is about 22:04 facts people and if it's on Wikipedia 22:07 it's 22:08 true everybody knows 22:12 that 22:15 okay now don't do we do the title here I 22:18 guess we do the title after this right 22:20 create 22:37 I do have art from not from Joy from uh 22:39 from Corey Sandler I do have art from 22:41 Corey 22:42 Sandler yes I do thank you for checking 22:45 though all right so now it's it's 22:47 writing our outline I think I'm pretty 22:49 sure that's what's happening now 22:59 shwin there it is but the fact the 23:02 banana Chronicles that's not what it's 23:04 called it's called bananas the fruit 23:07 that cloned itself to the top so we're 23:09 going to go back 23:12 here go like 23:15 that what the fact I get let's 23:19 see 23:22 um let's say 23:29 remind 23:32 listeners this is 23:35 episode 23:37 three and 23:39 briefly 23:43 intoduce 23:47 yourselves um the 23:51 episode and the and our 23:57 sponsor SP 24:01 sponsor the AI 24:04 Salon Salon Salon 24:08 Salon the salon. a 24:12 okay so that's going to do that now we 24:16 don't need to add a 24:18 chapter we do need to add the picture 24:21 Okay so Corey Sandler made us our first 24:24 20 images which is super exciting if 24:27 you're on Corey you're amazing look at 24:29 all these she 24:30 made so here's the Banana episode what 24:34 the fact what the fact the fruit that 24:37 clone itself to the top all right 24:40 beautiful file too large oh 24:42 Corey dang it I have to go do production 24:47 this is just not 24:52 fair G gang gangang 24:57 gang um three ban yeah we'll do those to 24:59 the desktop we'll save it as a JPEG so 25:02 it'll Smash It Down beautiful I wonder 25:06 if it's file size or pixel size we'll 25:08 find out won't we 25:13 jenang file too large it should be less 25:16 than 500k it is was 25:19 62k must be too big okay so wait so I 25:22 got to resize this right oh 25:26 no 1024 but that's that's not that big 25:29 1024 so we'll do 25:32 768 scale 25:36 proportionately yeah duplicate is Tiff 25:39 export is jpeg I know listen I I I was 25:43 not expecting this to be such a [ __ ] 25:46 nightmare I'm I'm with 25:48 you wait where did I export 25:52 that desktop okay it's yeah fine 25:56 whatever okay let's go back over here go 25:59 back over 26:02 here this is 26:05 315k oh it wasn't 62k it was 26:08 621k this will work 26:11 okay 26:13 J G all right so we have a picture for 26:17 the episode we're going to generate the 26:21 script and then 26:27 um oh I need to intro 26:33 music why 26:37 what 26:39 generate hey what am I doing wrong first 26:42 you generate the audio then you add the 26:44 intro music but you also have to um add 26:48 episode three to your title since you 26:51 started that 26:52 Trend oh I do okay wait so I go back 26:56 here up here mhm 27:06 episode Three 27:10 Bananas all right so it's 27:13 generating it's generating the script 27:16 right now okay so now we've got a script 27:18 right okay welcome back to another juicy 27:20 episode of what the fact the podcast 27:22 that peels back the layers of the 27:24 weirdest wildest trivia on the planet 27:27 I'm Lily and I'm bust 27:29 here to prove no fact is too ripe for a 27:32 good laugh okay beautiful I like that it 27:36 drew banana puns in I know right that's 27:39 solid okay so now we're gonna generate 27:40 the audio 27:42 bang oh you know what I want to go see 27:44 is I want to go over to this 27:52 thing so if I hit reload 27:57 here I I don't 28:01 know I don't get Pocket Cast maybe I 28:04 need to create an account 28:14 [Music] 28:18 here looks like you're 28:21 using yeah I don't get it 28:25 whatever um I did we we got a talked to 28:29 Pearson Brandon the um okay so we have 28:32 we have audio 28:35 now all right now you can add your 28:38 music oh right I just almost hit publish 28:42 Drag and Drop In 28:44 Mp3 I think this should be in 28:48 downloads that's not 28:53 [Music] 28:56 it uh oh where did I put that 28:59 [Music] 29:05 Michelle 29:14 no where did you send that to me last 29:17 night your uh professional email 29:28 [Music] 29:33 that's 29:35 it okay that should be in downloads 29:39 [Music] 29:42 now what the fact push play get ready to 29:47 dive into facts that'll blow your 29:50 [Music] 29:52 mind okay 30:00 I think that's [ __ ] 30:06 hilarious audio uploaded 30:10 successfully do I need to regenerate 30:12 audio I don't think I do just publish 30:15 just hit publish right yep you mentioned 30:19 uh you mentioned that we need to tell 30:21 Pearson about a uh a bug yeah the well 30:24 the bug is if I clicked on the did I did 30:29 a post to x with the RSS feed and if I 30:32 clicked on it on the desktop it worked 30:34 if I clicked on it on the phone it took 30:37 me to a basically a file not found page 30:39 it was like it was a 30:41 broken um it was a broken RSS feed from 30:44 mobile but speaking of RSS feeds if yes 30:47 if you do create a free pocketcast 30:49 account and you log in then that the 30:53 episode will automatically be there yeah 30:57 okay but what we're going to do now is 30:59 we're going to go back to X and we're 31:01 going to publish our new podcast over on 31:03 X because why 31:05 not all 31:07 right 31:08 um coming to you live you can see all 31:12 this right live see all 31:16 that from the AI learning 31:24 lab um here is episode 31:29 three 31:33 of what 31:36 the fact get it 31:39 WTF so [ __ ] 31:42 clever all right there's that we got to 31:44 put the picture up 31:51 [Music] 31:54 here um who should we tag in here we 31:57 should tag 31:59 jelly 32:06 pod we should tag 32:10 uh 32:14 Pearson no you can give H Corey is on on 32:19 x wait what's his what's Pearson's is 32:22 Pearson right 32:28 she's Cory Sandler no 32:36 space 32:45 oops all 32:51 right what's Pearson's last 32:55 name Pearson 32:59 was it 33:06 pear I spelled it wrong 33:09 Pi p i e 33:12 r yeah that's 33:17 so there we 33:20 go toss one to Robert 33:25 scobble all right good enough 33:29 coming to you live from the a learning 33:30 lab here's episode three of I guess I'll 33:32 put this up 33:35 here what the 33:38 fact okay moving on 33:43 to so do me a favor go go to go to x if 33:46 you're on X just click on that [ __ ] if 33:50 you're not on X jump on over to X Kyle 33:53 Shannon and go share uh what the fact 33:55 let's turn this into a hit podcast 33:58 [Laughter] 34:02 well are you going to tell people that 34:03 it was made with artificial intelligence 34:06 don't you think that sort of 34:07 transparency and disclosure is important 34:13 Kyle 34:19 no I 34:21 don't all right all right people all 34:25 right let's get it going here we'll go 34:28 to chat 34:30 jp40 34:32 okay 34:33 so where do we want to begin tonight I 34:36 think what I want to do 34:38 actually is I want to go um play a 34:43 little bit of the announcement today 34:46 about operators because I think there's 34:47 some good information in there um I 34:50 don't think we'll watch the whole thing 34:53 but I think it's important 34:57 [Music] 35:00 at 35:01 Sama oh Sama Sama where are you at 35:07 s there you 35:10 are can't be messaged I don't want to 35:12 message Sam I just want to see his 35:17 post all right there we 35:22 go what is 35:24 happening at s Sam there we go 35:29 okay good Lord oh yeah he's 35:32 building this is 35:36 big you know they just announced the 35:38 $500 35:40 billion infrastructure 35:43 play this is how far they already are 35:45 into 35:48 construction that was 35:51 quick okay introduction to operators and 35:54 agents here we go all right so I've got 35:57 a I got a share 36:00 different they brought back the tiny 36:03 table from 12 days of ship Miss which is 36:05 nice it's 36:09 [Music] 36:11 exciting 36:13 sh 36:15 dang and then how's my volume let me 36:18 turn that down a little bit for the 36:19 people blackbox two yes yes 36:23 yes okay starting soon 36:31 four awkward Geeks around the world's 36:34 tiniest table the world's tiniest launch 36:40 table open AI keeping the awkward in in 36:45 in the a a put making the a into 36:50 awkward good morning we've got something 36:52 exciting for you today we're going to 36:54 launch our first agent AI agents are AI 36:57 systems that can do work for you 36:59 independently you give them a task and 37:01 they go off and do it uh we think this 37:02 is going to be a big Trend in Ai and 37:04 really impact the work people can do how 37:06 productive they can be how creative they 37:08 can be what they can accomplish we're 37:10 starting today with Operator Operator is 37:12 a system that can use a web browser uh 37:15 in this case a web browser in the cloud 37:16 to accomplish tasks that you give it and 37:18 we'll show you a demo in just a second 37:20 but it's really quite steo it's set up 37:23 in Sam's basement or Sam's mom's 37:26 basement 37:29 that's what it looks like it really is 37:32 it really just is visually so 37:36 awkward and look these three have all 37:38 been media trained okay sit there act 37:41 natural and look at the camera you're 37:43 GNA be fine just 37:48 breathe I'm sorry this is one of the 37:50 more important announcements in the 37:52 history of humanity carry 37:54 on um just like you would use a web 37:57 browser you get pixels in you can look 37:59 at a screen and control an operator can 38:00 do that and then control the keyboard 38:02 and the mouse and do all sorts of things 38:04 this is going to go live today in the 38:05 United States for pro users and it'll be 38:08 other countries soon Europe will 38:09 unfortunately take a while okay so the 38:13 the the uh the the downside of 38:15 Regulation when when your uh when your 38:18 continent decides to regulate AI too 38:20 early and can't anticipate what's coming 38:23 your Europe's laws they're not going to 38:25 get operators for so that's going to 38:26 take some time is what he said so other 38:29 countries soon um right now for the US 38:32 it is available for pro um any they said 38:36 he said coming in a couple of months for 38:38 for uh for plus users uh and we'll also 38:41 in the coming months make it available 38:42 in the coming months both the plus users 38:44 um this is an early research preview we 38:46 got a lot of improvements to do we'll 38:47 make it better we'll make it cheaper 38:49 we'll make it more widely available but 38:50 we really want to put it in people's 38:52 hands we'll also have more agents to 38:54 launch in the coming weeks and months 38:55 but uh that said we'll talk more later 38:57 later so excited just want to show you 38:59 demo I'll hand it over to Yash right 39:01 thanks Sam hi I'm Yash this is Casey 39:03 that's Reay and we work on the computer 39:05 using agent team and we're so excited to 39:07 show you operator today as Sam said 39:09 operator is an early research preview it 39:11 will do a lot of cool things it also 39:13 makes mistakes sometimes embarrassing 39:15 ones but let's let's show you what 39:17 operator can do okay so this is the 39:19 operator homepage it lives at operator. 39:22 chg.com it'll be accessible as soon as 39:24 the live stream is over um and as you 39:27 can see the interface is very similar to 39:28 chat GPD you can type in a prompt and an 39:31 operator will try to execute the task to 39:32 the best of its capability you'll also 39:34 see we have a list of Prill prompts here 39:37 these are not really meant to be 39:38 recommendations these are meant to be 39:40 things that you know to give you an idea 39:42 of what operator can do you have also 39:44 collaborated with various Brands like 39:45 open table so I wanna I want to talk 39:49 about this a bit Sam just said it a bit 39:51 and he's saying it again 39:54 here engineers in these research labs 39:58 can do can put these tools together but 40:01 they can they can really not anticipate 40:04 how all of us especially as 40:07 non-engineers and creative types and 40:10 clueless non-technical 40:12 types they're taking something that is 40:15 ostensibly incredibly Technical and 40:17 Incredibly powerful and they're making 40:20 it simple enough that anyone can use it 40:23 you you'll hear in a second they're not 40:25 using apis here this is all being done 40:28 with chat 40:30 GPT viewing looking at the web page 40:34 interpreting it and then taking actions 40:36 based on what it 40:37 sees no apis are needed so even though 40:41 they've got these deals cut with things 40:43 like open table and and things like that 40:46 to ensure a better experience I had to 40:49 do some stuff today I I had to go out 40:51 and find some clinical trials for Lyme 40:54 disease and it just went off and did it 40:56 it found clinical trials it started 40:58 applying for them things like that so um 41:01 so that's a really important part of 41:03 this so um I I just want you to keep 41:05 that in mind that 41:07 that they're not just giving lip service 41:10 to they've got to get this thing in the 41:12 hands of people who are not the people 41:13 that built it so that they can 41:16 understand how people are going to use 41:17 it so they can figure out what to make 41:19 safe um and and they've done a lot of 41:21 stuff with safety which I think is 41:23 actually quite smart we'll talk about 41:24 that all recipes tub Hub Uber thum to 41:28 dash eBay Target to make sure operator 41:31 really works well on these websites but 41:33 also we think users will find operator 41:36 Val very valuable in interacting with 41:38 these platforms so with that let's jump 41:39 in with a demo okay so I'm going to 41:41 start with something fairly simple I'm 41:43 going to use open table and say book me 41:47 a table for two at Beretta 41:51 tonight at 7 p.m. okay and so you 41:54 specifically chose Open Table yeah in 41:56 this case I'm asking operator to use 41:58 Open Table to book a table for two at 42:00 Beretta Beretta is a restaurant in San 42:02 Francisco it's great you should try it 42:03 out uh and at 7 p.m. and I could I'm I'm 42:06 using Open Table in this case but I 42:08 could have easily said just do Beretta 42:11 and it would have probably gone to 42:12 search engine figured out how to make a 42:14 reservation as well but let's see what 42:15 it does so can you explain what's 42:16 happening in this like yeah right so I'm 42:19 going to expand this a little bit so as 42:20 soon as I type in the query operator 42:23 instantiated a completely remote browser 42:25 this browser is running in the cloud 42:27 somewhere 42:28 and as you can see it's already up and 42:29 running okay so again he said 42:32 instantiated a browser in the cloud so 42:35 you're not surfing your browser you're 42:37 surfing the browser that they're running 42:39 inside operator um that's one of the 42:42 safe one of the safety layers here is 42:45 you're basically just running in this 42:46 you know relatively hermetically sealed 42:49 little little session and it can do all 42:52 of the stuff within this session but it 42:54 can't do stuff outside of that session 42:56 so it's not reaching outside of chat GPT 42:59 they've brought a web browser inside 43:00 chat GPT and my hands are of the $200 a 43:05 month can we share membership 43:06 unfortunately no keyboard I'm not typing 43:08 these things this is just the AI is 43:10 clicking around a is just clicking 43:12 around it it started this browser 43:14 session it knew where openable website 43:16 is which is open.com as you can see it's 43:18 summarized Chain of Thought here as well 43:20 which is it's gone to the URL search 43:22 okay what he's talking about here on the 43:24 left you can't really see it on Tik Tok 43:26 but on the left he's saying it's it's uh 43:29 a Chain of Thought reasoning so it's 43:32 giving itself text instructions that 43:34 it's then following um so so it 43:37 basically writes itself a plan it then 43:40 looks at the web page sees what it sees 43:42 and does enough clicking around until it 43:45 executes the first part of the plan and 43:47 then if it succeeds there then it goes 43:49 to the next part of the plan and if not 43:50 then it tries other 43:52 [ __ ] for Bera and something cool really 43:56 wait thanks Kyle that's a really good 43:58 argument against the fear that the 44:00 elites are going to try to hoard the 44:01 compute for themselves I don't know what 44:03 I 44:05 said I don't know what I said um I can't 44:08 and I can't tell if you're being 44:09 factious or not Kyle should do an interp 44:13 interpretation of what's being said in a 44:15 regulars language like an anger 44:18 interpreter from Key and 44:22 Peele happened which is for some reason 44:25 operator Open Table thought we were in 44:27 virgin 44:28 and it autocorrected itself to San 44:30 Francisco this is using so like chbd in 44:34 operator you can also give customer 44:35 instruction so I'm going to show this 44:37 really quickly here just to okay so I've 44:40 given a custom instruction that for 44:41 queries that needed I live in San 44:43 Francisco so operator right oh that's 44:45 cool so in so so operators has its own 44:49 custom instructions so I could put in 44:51 like my home address my work address you 44:54 know where I work you know whatever I 44:55 want in there that I want it to have 44:58 persistent access to I can give it that 44:59 that's pretty slick recognize that and 45:01 then autoc corrected itself to go to S 45:04 to go to veretta okay looks like 7 P.M 45:07 isn't available but you know what 7:45 45:09 is just fine so we're going to go do 45:11 that so in this case operator came back 45:13 and this is a really good example of 45:15 task delegation where operator needs 45:17 help or needs Assistance or just wants 45:19 to ask you something he'll just come 45:20 back and you answer that in practice you 45:22 wouldn't have had to watch this you 45:23 could have just let it go off while 45:24 you're doing other things then it would 45:25 come back and say hey I can't do seven 45:27 yeah and we're starting with a web app 45:28 you'll get notifications Etc when 45:31 operator moves into Mobile you'll get 45:33 mobile notifications much like 45:34 interactions we do with General apps 45:36 okay yes that's great let's do 45:39 it okay so again very uh very simple 45:43 interaction as you would have with an 45:44 assistant which is hey I found 45:46 reservation 7 p.m. wasn't available 45:48 let's do 7:45 and again you can 45:50 see um operator at this point I said 45:53 okay should I again this is 45:55 really Mr it I need to open a GoFundMe 45:59 account steo anyone want to hire a 46:01 grandkid to tap the lives only $200 a 46:08 month I know listen it it is a pain in 46:11 the ass that it's not out more broadly 46:15 and trust me I didn't want to eat $200 a 46:19 month to do this that said I actually do 46:22 think part of part of the impetus for 46:24 doing 30 days of deep 46:26 Dives is that I just I I just I can't 46:30 keep up anymore with with the the 46:33 software and I think with something like 46:35 um 46:37 operators like I I I really don't have 46:41 any idea what what's even possible with 46:43 this thing so I feel like over over a 46:46 couple of nights just digging deep into 46:48 this um maybe even exploring deeper into 46:52 tasks or deeper into you know some 46:54 creative program there's so much there 46:58 um that that it just it feels like we're 47:01 entering a new kind of era where we have 47:04 to really start exploring so I ate the 47:07 200 so we could we could collectively 47:09 learn about this stuff because I this 47:11 one to me feels feels quite significant 47:14 really good example of the confirmations 47:16 work we're going to talk about a little 47:17 bit later but you know before doing an 47:19 action which is sort of irreversible in 47:21 this case we can cancel the obviously 47:23 but again taking a critical action 47:25 operator is asking us before actually 47:27 doing it in this case I'm going to say 47:29 let's do 47:32 it okay it was pretty quick I would say 47:34 like you know 50 seconds and again we 47:36 were watching in this case ET but as Sam 47:38 said kick off off yeah him him bragging 47:41 about it being pretty quick it's it it's 47:44 not it's very slow and it's funny we'll 47:48 we'll do it in a second here 47:52 um the immediate gratification in 47:56 me wants it to be what's in my head my f 47:59 my f in my fantasy head operators are 48:03 like these slick Willy [ __ ] I'm gonna 48:05 go surf the Internet for you man I'll go 48:07 do it all do do parallel processing I'll 48:11 do 16 things at once come back and give 48:13 you some 48:14 options um I'm not ready for that like 48:18 what I realized is I was watching this 48:20 thing do this one of the things they 48:21 built into this which I think is is 48:23 really smart is that it will not take 48:27 an action that has consequences without 48:30 asking your confirmation right so you 48:33 can tell it go buy me some tickets for 48:35 the concert tonight and it will go to 48:37 the ticket thing it will find the 48:39 tickets it will then come back and say 48:41 are these seats okay is this price okay 48:45 yes um okay now I'm on the buy it page 48:49 you know maybe it asks you for credit 48:51 card information and then it comes back 48:54 are you sure you want me to do that that 48:56 feels appro to me right it feels 48:59 appropriate that it's just being like 49:01 okay okay kids you've never seen 49:04 anything like me before I'm gonna go 49:06 really slow I'm gonna make you really 49:09 comfortable what popped in my head 49:12 today was if you were around in the 49:15 early days of the worldwide web I was 49:17 there you know building websites for for 49:20 you know big big Fortune 500 companies 49:23 and there were years where the the kind 49:26 of Trope that people were talking about 49:29 is I would NE and this was on TV this 49:31 was on news broadcast I would never put 49:35 my credit card on the internet and you 49:37 know now it's commonplace right like we 49:39 figured out security we figured out all 49:42 that it reminds me very much of that 49:44 like like you know I I told my boys 49:47 about this thing and like my son Zach's 49:48 like ah that freaks me out I would never 49:51 right you know that instinct I would 49:53 never let a robot go take action on my 49:56 behalf you know 49:58 all right almost all of us figured it 50:01 out all right they said eventually it 50:03 will be less expensive and more 50:04 available yes tell operator we'll get to 50:07 we'll get to deal doing it here in a 50:09 second do we know if there's a watch 50:12 haptic or notification sound app when it 50:14 asks a question there's not that I can 50:17 tell 50:18 except that may not be true you can 50:21 enable notification so so it would be a 50:24 web notification so you'd probably you'd 50:26 probably get something that says there's 50:28 there's something going on but I don't 50:30 know if it's every time it's got a 50:33 question almost all of us 50:36 on Tik Tok pin figured it 50:39 out 50:43 um steo smartass the best security for 50:46 credit cards on the internet is not to 50:48 show it on a live 50:53 guilty go on okay so let's try something 50:57 oh unfortunately that table is no longer 50:59 available so it's going to probably go 51:00 and find Alterna time slots oh that's 51:02 kind of cool actually that's never 51:04 happened 51:05 before uh that's great let's do it15 51:09 okay while it's doing that how about we 51:11 try something a little bit more 51:13 complicated grocery yeah I love 51:15 groceries so I've been using operator to 51:17 shop all my groceries I 51:19 love this and I have been using operator 51:22 exclusively for groceries so let's I 51:24 have a shopping list here which is the 51:27 one let's see what it is eggs spinach 51:30 mushrooms chicken thighs chili 51:33 crunch okay right handwritten shopping 51:35 list so this is a picture that you're 51:37 uploading here that's exactly right and 51:39 I'm going to use insta card which is 51:41 again what we use generally can you buy 51:43 this for me 51:45 please and I'll also specify the store I 51:48 like which is well let's see if it 51:50 figures out I MP but let's see okay so 51:54 in this case again operator quickly 51:56 actually recognize using GPD for vision 51:59 capabilities to understand that the 52:01 image said egg spinach mushroom chicken 52:02 thighs and it actually knew Gus's market 52:05 and I'm yes that sounds 52:12 great cool again just like Open Table 52:15 where did I find this tutorial this is 52:17 just the uh YouTube replay of the 52:20 introduction today so if you if you 52:22 search for Sam Alman on Twitter Sama 52:24 it's like his second post is a link link 52:27 to this YouTube video introduction to 52:30 operator and 52:31 agents it instantiated a browser and 52:34 it's going to go ahead and start doing 52:37 test I'm going to expand the view and 52:39 let's see what it 52:40 does so in both of these cases you've 52:42 said what you wanted to use if you just 52:44 say buy me these groceries and don't 52:45 specify instacart what happens it will 52:47 do a search use a search engine much 52:49 like we do and it'll find you know 52:52 instag card or Gus's directly website or 52:55 whatever else is on the search engine go 52:57 through that ask you questions if it 52:58 needs clarifications and go from there 53:01 I'm curious what's happening here though 53:02 re do you want to tell us a little bit 53:03 about it so now that you've seen a bit 53:05 of operator let me talk a little about 53:07 the research behind it so operator is 53:09 based on a new model we've trained at 53:11 open AI which we're calling the computer 53:12 using agent or new model called the 53:15 computer using agent Kua for short 53:18 Kua so Kua is a model built off here 53:21 I'll come question on YouTube but how 53:24 many eggs how many Bunches of spinach is 53:26 it just guessing um yeah I think it I 53:29 think it goes out and it it you know 53:32 figures that stuff out and then it asks 53:34 them um so you can have it do tasks in 53:39 different chats at the same time you 53:44 can um 53:48 okay AI learning lab we come for the 53:51 learning we stay for Kyle's credit card 53:53 number thank you very much appreciate 53:54 that they all talk the same I check off 53:57 office filtration systems yeah they've 53:59 all got the this the Sam Alman vocal fry 54:02 don't 54:03 they how it 54:06 going hi I'm Sam 54:11 man I'm the richest man in the 54:16 world I just raised half a trillion 54:20 doll I'm sorry sorry carrying 54:23 on of GPD 40 but it's also to use and 54:27 control a computer in the same way that 54:28 humans can by you know just looking at 54:30 the screen and using a mouse and 54:31 keyboard to control it can it create a 54:34 sales funnel for a product probably well 54:37 so that was actually something that I 54:39 was thinking about is 54:42 um you could probably have it if you had 54:46 a subscription to one of those services 54:50 that tracks Amazon products every 54:53 morning you could have it go on Amazon 54:55 products pick the top five products then 54:59 have it Go Source those products from a 55:01 drop shipper then then have it um make 55:06 you a listing in Amazon and take out ads 55:09 for you I mean why 55:12 not so so yes potentially that um ocean 55:17 the technology is great it helps with 55:19 entertainment and 55:21 shopping but where should we get money 55:23 to spend if work assigned to AI sadly 55:27 it's cheaper and cheaper and faster I 55:29 don't know I mean ocean it's a great 55:32 question like the the 55:36 the the full-on proponents the engineers 55:39 the people building this what they're 55:41 saying and you know David chapiro says 55:43 this is that we're entering this age of 55:45 prosperity that these tools are going to 55:47 do all the work for us and make all the 55:50 stuff what I still can't get my head 55:53 around is how do you do that in a c 55:56 capitalist 55:57 Society 55:59 where the you know shareholders of the 56:03 corporation are going to say well keep 56:04 all that profit there's a point at which 56:07 it kills the company because no one can 56:09 buy the [ __ ] anymore I don't know how we 56:12 make that transition I have no 56:14 idea three operators simultaneous per 56:17 frostbitten okay so so frostbitten says 56:21 you can do up to three working 56:22 simultaneously it's a great question 56:24 about the money thing um here's what I 56:27 know we will figure it out right like 56:30 we're humans governments won't let 56:32 Society just collapse like we'll figure 56:35 it out um is it going to be painful 56:38 figuring it out 56:40 probably but 56:42 it's what will be interesting to see in 56:46 2025 is do these things get good enough 56:49 fast enough that there's a a smack to 56:54 the job market kind of like Co was right 56:57 Co was like bang stay home for two years 57:02 uh what we can just do that yeah you 57:04 have to oh globally oh okay and we just 57:07 did 57:09 right if on the other hand there's kind 57:12 of slow adoption and there's not a big 57:15 smack and it's just like you know 57:17 unemployment just starts doing this and 57:21 it's and it's like the B the you know 57:23 boiling the Frog if it's slow then I 57:25 think it's going to be really painful 57:27 but we'll see we'll see I don't I don't 57:29 [ __ ] know I wish I had answers for 57:31 that no worries China will open source 57:33 it and we can run it on on Nvidia digits 57:36 yeah 57:38 exactly before if you wanted to build 57:40 something like operator without uh 57:42 without Kua you'd need to use some 57:44 specialized apis for example if you 57:45 wanted your model to buy stuff from 57:47 instacart you'd need to figure out if 57:49 instacart had uh an API you need to 57:51 figure out if that so important here 57:53 he's talking about they built all this 57:55 this is not using API so you you don't 57:58 have to know programming to use this 58:00 thing this is for the for the folks that 58:03 are 58:04 um rabbit R1 junkies these things wait 58:08 where's my camera these 58:12 things the uh the rabbit R1 these had a 58:17 version of of what they've built here um 58:20 in their operating system it just they 58:23 didn't build it it it was not scalable 58:25 and not really usable but that's that's 58:27 how that thing does what it 58:28 does um it's just um open AI is kind of 58:33 open AI right now is the first one 58:35 that's cracked this um Claude has this 58:39 but you need to use apis and you need to 58:41 use programming this is not that Tik Tok 58:45 API had um they have an A AI watching 58:49 they have an AI watching the operator so 58:51 prompt injection can't be used against 58:53 it oh that's fascinating all the 58:55 functions that it needed 58:57 and you need to give you know your model 58:58 the specs to that API but you know if 59:00 your site like most other websites did 59:02 not have an API then you're out of so 59:04 this is just using screenshots no API 59:06 nothing just API yes um and that's where 59:08 Kua comes in um by teaching a model how 59:11 to use the same basic interface that we 59:13 use on a daily basis it just you know 59:15 unlocks a whole new range of uh software 59:16 that can use it was previously 59:19 inaccessible and so this is keyboard and 59:20 mouse right it's kind of using keyboard 59:22 and mouse just exactly yes um and that's 59:25 really what the cool research project is 59:26 about it's about removing one more 59:28 bottleneck in our path towards AGI and 59:30 letting our agents move around and act 59:32 in the digital world so let's make that 59:34 a little bit more concrete by looking at 59:36 this task and seeing exactly how 59:39 operator is using a computer so done it 59:42 looked like it already done but let's go 59:44 back a little bit to the top here okay 59:46 so uh I chose a random spot the first 59:49 thing that Kua does when it controls the 59:51 computer is it looks at the screenshot 59:53 so now you're seeing the maybe the 59:55 search results page for eggs in 59:57 instacart so Kua understands this it's 1:00:00 just seeing the raw pixels and after Kua 1:00:03 sees this image it decides what to do 1:00:05 next so right now it's making some inner 1:00:07 monologues and this is the summarized 1:00:09 Chain of Thought So what Kua is doing is 1:00:11 according to it you know it's selecting 1:00:12 organic eggs and adding it to the card 1:00:14 it's a reasonable thing to do um so 1:00:16 after it does this plan it then figures 1:00:18 out what the next action it should take 1:00:20 is so let's see what it does in the next 1:00:22 step okay so you see that it performed a 1:00:25 click on this add button right here 1:00:27 that's cool there's like a little it's 1:00:28 got a little video it's making a video 1:00:31 of of its of the screenshots it's taking 1:00:34 all right let's go play um any questions 1:00:36 before I dive in and start playing with 1:00:38 this I didn't even open my R1 leaving it 1:00:40 to my great-grandchildren maybe recoup 1:00:42 the cost rabbit R1 paper 1:00:47 weight I was just talking about 1:00:49 bottlenecks and AI agents workflows with 1:00:51 mine pel um 1:00:54 this assist lather step I don't know 1:00:57 what that 1:00:58 means um it's called creaky voice he's 1:01:01 trying to make us sound smart or make 1:01:02 himself sound smarter hang on I've got 1:01:04 to plug in my light I just lost my light 1:01:08 hang on people if you think this is 1:01:14 easy this is not 1:01:19 easy let's 1:01:22 see there we go okay 1:01:27 did the demo Guy log in instacart yes he 1:01:31 had logged in before so so um it's not 1:01:35 logging in for you for the most 1:01:39 part um it just goes off and does stuff 1:01:43 and then when it like like when it runs 1:01:46 into a capture it'll say hey I need you 1:01:48 to deal with the capture 900m hydration 1:01:50 reminder thank you speaking a creaky 1:01:52 voice hey hey it's Kyle 1:01:57 I'm here learning 1:02:08 la oh are we having fun yet we're diving 1:02:12 deep we're diving deep all right let's 1:02:14 go into the 1:02:16 operators let's go into the operators 1:02:19 shall we all right so you can all see my 1:02:23 screen right Tik Tock pin I'm selling my 1:02:25 rabbit to get Pro for a month there you 1:02:28 go love 1:02:31 it 1:02:33 um okay so if you're looking for 1:02:39 um operators they're not in the model 1:02:42 list they're over here on the left and 1:02:45 and it's it's interesting like they're 1:02:48 they're creating a new kind of uh 1:02:50 interface here where I don't know if you 1:02:53 recog oh [ __ ] God 1:02:57 [ __ ] hang on 1:03:00 people gotta change my sharing 1:03:03 modality thanks to corporate 1:03:06 infighting I love America yay we did it 1:03:13 yay 1:03:16 um chat GPT if you'll notice over here 1:03:19 on the left you've got chat GPT at the 1:03:21 top operator next you know below it and 1:03:25 then you've got Sora operator and Sora 1:03:28 are external website so if I click on 1:03:30 Sora it's taking me to sora.com 1:03:34 that's their video tool and if I click 1:03:38 on operator notice it's got this little 1:03:39 up arrow pointing out that's going to go 1:03:41 to operator. chat gp.com so this is a 1:03:44 different a new Standalone 1:03:47 app 1:03:50 okay 1:03:52 um all 1:03:55 right so what are we going to do let me 1:03:57 see what I've done 1:04:00 before so I did find a house cleaner I 1:04:05 found I had it find generative AI 1:04:07 outlines or headlines that was really 1:04:09 boring and really slow the drug trial 1:04:12 application I tried let's let's try 1:04:14 something 1:04:15 new let's get rid of 1:04:18 this we'll make this a bit 1:04:22 bigger um well let's go look at their 1:04:25 examples because why not so they've got 1:04:28 dining and events they've got delivery 1:04:31 they got local 1:04:33 Services Reserve an Uber find a 1:04:40 locksmith 1:04:43 travel now I wonder how they're 1:04:46 getting oh I see they're clicking on 1:04:48 this 1:04:50 thing okay so if you click on one of 1:04:52 these 1:04:54 panels then it's gonna it's going to 1:04:56 search that 1:04:58 specific 1:05:00 company I wonder if you 1:05:03 can 1:05:04 um let me get rid of this I wonder if I 1:05:08 can at something can I go 1:05:10 at 1:05:12 booking 1:05:14 no all 1:05:17 right shopping so they've got oh 1:05:21 eBay oh okay I've got an idea 1:05:26 all right let's go to the 1:05:31 Google I suppose I could do this within 1:05:33 chat GPT couldn't 1:05:37 I find me images 1:05:44 of of 1:05:46 F1 collectibles 1:05:58 oh that's that's that's pretty good 1:06:04 um yeah that's pretty good Brandon I'll 1:06:06 try that 1:06:07 okay just play with it yeah we're 1:06:09 playing with it now we're we're in we're 1:06:12 going I got to figure out what I want to 1:06:14 do with 1:06:15 it can we have it look at the weather 1:06:18 find a day where it's really cold yeah 1:06:20 we can do that but let's I want to do 1:06:22 something a little more in interesting 1:06:27 um find me images 1:06:30 of F1 1:06:40 Collectibles oh that's 1:06:49 cool all right there's ass 1:06:53 signed let's let's grab this let's 1:06:56 download we'll copy this image we'll go 1:06:59 back to operators where is my 1:07:07 operators where did I put it is this it 1:07:09 here 1:07:14 yeah okay we going to go 1:07:17 eBay I'm going to go 1:07:20 paste no I'm not damn 1:07:24 it save image as 1:07:28 um 1:07:30 F1 1:07:34 save go here to this we're g to 1:07:38 go we're GNA go 1:07:47 this H webp you can't use webp chat GPT 1:07:52 generates webp but it can't read webp 1:07:55 who 1:07:57 who did 1:07:59 this who did this to 1:08:02 us 1:08:05 why um date modified where was it 1:08:08 desktop 1:08:11 yes oh my 1:08:14 God this is [ __ ] painful you know why 1:08:17 this is called a deep dive because it 1:08:20 you've got to take four hours to convert 1:08:22 files 1:08:24 that stupid websites can't [ __ ] 1:08:29 read all right there's that so I'm going 1:08:31 to say 1:08:35 identify 1:08:40 this image 1:08:43 and go 1:08:49 find the value 1:08:52 and similar 1:08:58 um 1:09:02 objects on 1:09:07 eBay all right here we 1:09:10 go turn on notifications 1:09:15 allow allow notifications 1:09:18 there okay so 1:09:26 so it went to 1:09:27 eBay so if I click over here on the left 1:09:33 sorry hang on Tik Tock people let me 1:09:35 resize my window we'll get you we'll get 1:09:38 you taken care 1:09:40 of I don't want my Tik Tok people to be 1:09:43 all upset they're like we can't see 1:09:44 anything KY hey ky ky ky ky ky what are 1:09:49 you doing hey c 1:09:52 c I did say a bad word Mr it I'm getting 1:09:55 yelled at for saying bad words I feel 1:09:58 like Gary Gary ve [ __ ] 1:10:00 it you 1:10:03 make 1:10:06 um okay so if you click on this thing 1:10:10 over here on the left there's a little 1:10:12 drop-down menu this this is its little 1:10:14 Chain of Thought reasoning searching 1:10:17 eBay for Ferrari Collectibles searching 1:10:19 eBay for harness 1:10:21 Collectibles modifying the search for 1:10:23 Relevant Collectibles broadening the 1:10:25 search for Ferrari 1:10:29 items entering the 1:10:32 key entering the key I assume 1:10:41 means oh so wait so while that's running 1:10:44 I can go back here oh this is really 1:10:48 slick okay 1:10:59 okay so this is like a little movie this 1:11:01 is pretty cool okay so if I if I click 1:11:04 here it jumps me to this part of the 1:11:07 movie and then jump to live will take 1:11:10 you to 1:11:11 live ideas okay what's going on not 1:11:15 enough tabs open I'm a tab hoarder tab 1:11:18 hoarders unite do not judge me for my 1:11:21 tab hoarding skills I I am proud I'm 1:11:26 proud of my 1:11:27 tabs Pasha a pox on your 1:11:30 [Laughter] 1:11:33 house okay so if I go down here I can 1:11:36 grab this little thing and I can slide 1:11:38 it right and we can watch what it's 1:11:39 doing so it goes to 1:11:42 eBay so now it landed on 1:11:47 eBay now it typed in Ferrari 1:11:51 racing uh harness collectible or 1:11:53 something like that then hit enter 1:11:56 so there's the key the key 1:12:05 thing yeah this is pretty slick I love 1:12:08 that it makes this a little movie so 1:12:10 it's still 1:12:13 going let's see what it did it searched 1:12:18 for framed items now it's narrowing the 1:12:24 search yeah look at this so so like 1:12:27 here's a Charles L 1:12:30 cler Ferrari Relic it's it's like a 1:12:34 buckle from from one of his things ideas 1:12:38 on the blue sticky okay 1:12:57 keychains it's still 1:13:01 searching refining search for a framed 1:13:08 harness adjusting search for the 1:13:12 harness this is cool I mean look at all 1:13:15 this it's doing it's just [ __ ] 1:13:17 cranking 1:13:19 away and yeah we can go off now and we 1:13:22 can do another one of these right so new 1:13:25 conversation so let's go try that so so 1:13:27 we'll do this so let's do another eBay 1:13:30 one I kind of like this eBay 1:13:31 thing let's go to eBay and and we're 1:13:34 going to go 1:13:39 um help 1:13:41 me buy 1:13:43 a number one 1:13:46 Wired 1:13:50 Magazine in 1:13:52 graded um condition 1:14:03 all right so so this is going to go off 1:14:05 and do its thing now I should wait I'll 1:14:09 search for a graded copy to narrow down 1:14:11 would you let me know if you have a 1:14:12 specific budget in mind 1:14:15 um I want to see 1:14:19 my 1:14:21 options 1:14:22 balancing condition and price 1:14:30 so it asked me a little action there 1:14:32 Kyle when do you think they'll make this 1:14:34 available for 20 bucks a month he said 1:14:36 he said uh a couple of months I'm 1:14:39 guessing it it sounded like three months 1:14:43 to 1:14:44 me possible it's earlier well so one of 1:14:48 the things that that could push it 1:14:50 earlier is competition um 1:14:53 perplexity uh announced the an agent 1:14:56 today it's only available on Android 1:14:58 which um I can't I couldn't play with it 1:15:00 because of that my my Android device 1:15:03 which I do have one at work was so 1:15:05 uncharged I couldn't get it to 1:15:09 recharge was 1:15:13 bad oh man all right 1:15:16 um what's going on here 1:15:20 [Music] 1:15:27 so let's go back to so two tasks in 1:15:32 progress so here's the F1 1:15:37 stuff yeah oh that's cool so you just 1:15:39 you just flip between them so here's the 1:15:42 the Wired Magazine 1:15:48 purchase so it found 1:15:52 it issue number three 1:16:09 all right so it's doing its thing let's 1:16:12 see 1:16:15 our it determined that that was 1:16:17 Sebastian 1:16:18 vettel's thing 1:16:28 I couldn't find the exact item but I 1:16:30 found similar Ferrari F1 1:16:34 memorabilia okay so so now we're gonna 1:16:36 say this we're gonna go 1:16:41 um oh I don't have an ebay account I got 1:16:45 blocked off eBay like 15 years ago and 1:16:48 there's no way to to appeal it so 1:16:56 all right find it will find a day it 1:16:58 will be cold and order french toast 1:17:00 ingredients from crypto Joe find a day 1:17:03 it will be cold then order french toast 1:17:06 ingredients kind of cool compare and 1:17:11 contrast new front door locks and 1:17:14 features get 1:36:34 these videos might be really powerful at 1:36:36 some point okay well I don't know really 1:36:40 powerful is probably not the right word 1:36:42 but 1:36:42 really fascinating okay but let's listen 1:36:45 to our music 1:36:47 [Music] 1:37:02 wait Source cam you haven't been here 1:37:04 the whole time you don't know what we're 1:37:06 doing oh 1:37:08 no very Tom 1:37:13 Jones that's a good one all right let's 1:37:15 download that bad boy download MP3 audio 1:37:20 boom oh it's still processing hang on 1:37:23 hang on people 1:37:25 all right we'll come back to that let's 1:37:27 come back to that we're going to go full 1:37:29 screen again stop sharing there share 1:37:33 share your screen share your entire 1:37:34 screen click on that click on that now 1:37:38 we're sharing screens 1:37:42 again okay there's 1:37:45 that 1:37:51 uh um Source camp what we're doing 1:37:56 is 1:37:58 um I got 1:38:01 access I'm an idiot and so I'm paying 1:38:04 $200 a month for chat GPT so that I 1:38:07 could play with operators so we're 1:38:08 playing with operators the movie that I 1:38:11 made is an operator executing um a 1:38:14 workflow that we we we designed that was 1:38:17 uh suggested in 1:38:20 here okay so we're going to open this 1:38:26 are you seeing what I'm seeing yes all 1:38:29 right there's our there's our that and 1:38:31 then we're gonna go oops what did I do 1:38:35 all right there's that we go back here 1:38:38 can I download this yet are we still 1:38:42 processing oh come on sunno 1:38:54 all right now it's now it's 1:38:57 done right done yes done bang okay 1:39:02 there's 1:39:03 that there's that there's 1:39:07 that there's 1:39:13 downloads boom there's 1:39:17 that did we do it I think we did it did 1:39:20 we wait 1:39:22 [Music] 1:39:37 oh wait you can't hear that wait hang on 1:39:39 it's gonna be so good shut 1:39:44 up I know what I'm doing I def oh no you 1:39:48 could hear it because it's not in 1:39:51 Chrome so we're not violating anyone's 1:39:54 stupid [ __ ] patent uh oh what did I 1:39:57 do all right we're 1:39:59 [Music] 1:40:10 good you can have faster music but only 1:40:12 at the cost of the heat death of the 1:40:18 universe Detroit Jay Holden Corey 1:40:21 Sandler inspired him to work on his art 1:40:24 thank you that's the kind of thing we 1:40:26 like to [ __ ] hear in here is people 1:40:28 inspiring one another making things 1:40:30 possible generate your prompts with 1:40:32 prompts if you can't think of the words 1:40:34 do it all the time what would you 1:40:37 recommend for editing and posting 1:40:39 content GPT looks like it's come a long 1:40:42 way is this the $200 a month 1:40:45 model what I'm playing with is a very 1:40:48 specific tool that they launched today 1:40:52 called operators and it's an autonomous 1:40:54 agent that basically spins up a web 1:40:57 browser and then 1:40:58 can see the web browser and go do ship 1:41:02 for 1:41:04 you so what we're going to 1:41:06 do is we're 1:41:08 gonna uh export this video 1:41:14 as um 1:41:17 weather Dash 1:41:19 um french toast 1:41:28 I think you know what going to be 1:41:32 fun I'm GNA keep I'm going to keep 1:41:34 playing with operators probably well 1:41:36 definitely tomorrow and probably a 1:41:38 couple of days next 1:41:41 week I'm going to start paying attention 1:41:43 to what other people are doing with them 1:41:45 um I would I would also 1:41:48 request to you to think about what what 1:41:52 would be a good 1:41:55 um a good simple thing to 1:41:59 um what would be a good simple well not 1:42:02 even simple what would be a good task if 1:42:05 you could have something just go out on 1:42:07 the internet and and do [ __ ] what would 1:42:10 you have it do start thinking about that 1:42:14 because I know that we're not scratching 1:42:16 the surface right now um the question 1:42:18 about why why video is 1:42:22 because I want to be able to show people 1:42:25 what this thing does and it's cool that 1:42:28 it you get to watch 1:42:31 what what we're watching Source Camp 1:42:35 is the F the first autonomous signs of 1:42:40 AI 1:42:41 life um outs surfing the 1:42:44 internet now I know there's other ones 1:42:47 but the this is the first sort of 1:42:49 commercial like the the consumer version 1:42:52 of this tool that's that's really become 1:42:54 available everything else to this point 1:42:56 you've had to be a developer so the fact 1:42:58 that you can just export this movie 1:43:00 throw some music in it from sunno and 1:43:03 put it out on on the internet I think 1:43:05 it's kind of cool so we're gonna do that 1:43:07 so you can see this yes yes good look at 1:43:10 look at how good I am I'm so fantastic 1:43:13 all right if you're not in the IR 1:43:15 regulars Club in the salon you don't 1:43:17 know what you're missing it's so true um 1:43:20 how many people are here all right just 1:43:21 a handful looks like we've got a decent 1:43:23 amount over on X is that 1:43:26 true yeah 56 on X cool awesome all right 1:43:30 um so we're going to post this video on 1:43:33 X and I'm going to say I bit the 1:43:39 bullet 1:43:40 and have access 1:43:44 to 1:43:49 operator here is a movie 1:43:54 of an 1:43:57 operator um finding the 1:44:05 first 1:44:07 uh 1:44:09 forcasted day 1:44:11 under 1:44:13 25 is it option shift 8 just I bit the 1:45:54 bullet and now have 1:45:59 access this Proto AI life 1:46:03 form video by open 1:46:07 AI 1:46:09 music by 1:46:14 sunno 1:46:16 um idea for 1:46:21 workflow by the 1:46:25 [Laughter] 1:46:27 Irregulars we should we should I think 1:46:30 the Irregulars need to have a a Twitter 1:46:32 Channel um okay so we're gonna tag we're 1:46:36 also gonna tag at chat GPT 1:46:40 easier to read 1:47:32 colon 1:47:34 bullet finding the first forecasted day 1:47:37 under 25 degrees 1:47:45 Fahrenheit and 1:47:49 then have french toast ingredients 1:47:52 delivered the the night why don't 1:54:49 you just [ __ ] send out a reminder 1:54:51 like the night before or like three days 1:54:54 before I I you're right that is the 1:54:58 that's the right question to 1:55:01 ask so I'll send out a reminder in the 1:55:04 morning and uh come to office hours it's 1:55:07 a really cool group we'll talk about 1:55:09 this stuff we'll definitely talk about 1:55:11 uh operator operators tomorrow or 1:55:15 operator I think it's 1:55:18 operators it's got to be because you 1:55:20 have multiple operators operating 1:55:24 right anyway all 1:55:27 right ticktock pin I just to demystify 1:57:00 about AI I didn't think I'd have to be 1:57:02 teaching about food 1:57:05 consumption clearly I've got some 1:57:07 expertise in this 1:57:10 area all right 1:57:13 fantastic I think we all know what we 1:57:15 need to do first we collected animals 1:57:17 now we're collecting 1:57:18 food Kyle you just described my teens 1:57:25 Silver Fox I was talking to you I 1:57:26 all the work yeah I know 1:57:43 like oh when whenever I like as a kid 1:57:46 when I learned about how they made maple 1:57:48 syrup my initial thing was like this 1:57:50 looks like fun and then I saw how they 1:57:52 did it I'm like oh that's awful I'm like 1:57:55 I'll just buy the cheap [ __ ] 1:57:58 um way to slow drip a point Kyle here 1:58:02 here's the thing 1:58:04 um if if anything I'm wordy okay um why 1:58:09 don't you just ask chat GPT tasks to 1:58:11 tell you to do that that's good 1:58:13 Buttersworth operators Mrs Buttersworth 1:58:16 I'm I'm I'm I'm so glad I've got some shead's AI calendar 1:59:21 look how cool this thing is 1:59:34 isn't that groovy 1:59:38 bitching so I think Marisol did this art 1:59:41 I'm 1:59:42 thinking beautiful 1:59:44 right so we teamed up with she leads 1:59:48 Ai and we put on this thing called AI 1:59:50 festiv us over the holidays and and we 1:59:53 are now putting 1:59:55 together a training for 1:59:59 um AI 2:00:01 Readiness um based on a lot of what we 2:00:03 learned during Ai festivas and it was a 2:00:06 really remarkable event and um Vicki's 2:00:08 helping to put together the curriculum 2:00:11 and by help put together the curriculum 2:00:13 Vicki's putting together the 2:00:16 curriculum an and I are like yeah that 2:00:18 that's good that's 2:00:21 solid an and I the Eye Candy of the 2:00:28 operation but go check that out you can 2:00:31 sign up early um the goal is to launch 2:00:33 that training on February 1 um I think 2:00:36 we're on track for that 2:00:39 um and I think that's about it heard a 2:00:42 panel of Alzheimer's doctors speak 2:00:44 tonight asked them if they were if any 2:00:46 of them were using Ai and I'm I wonder 2:00:50 what the answer is um thank you mods 2:00:53 we're on track great awesome they are 2:00:56 but said the data was trained on data 2:00:58 they don't use oh that's fascinating 2:01:01 huh that's 2:01:03 fascinating all right uh that's it we're 2:01:05 out of here um anything else let me just 2:01:08 check comments and see if I missed 2:01:10 anything fun or 2:01:14 interesting 2:01:16 Jan way to slow drip a point Kyle by the 2:01:19 way that comment 2:01:26 if you want an example of how to 2:01:29 troll that is a perfect 2:01:31 troll it's a perfect 2:01:34 troll why on the surface it feels like a 2:01:38 compliment way to slow drip of Point
