Description

In the latest episode of the AI Learning Lab, Kyle Shannon delves into the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, emphasizing the importance of community engagement and exploration in this rapidly changing field. He discusses the recent lull in AI news, suggesting it may be the calm before a significant surge of innovation. The conversation highlights the transformative potential of AI tools, particularly ChatGPT, and their ability to enhance creativity and productivity. Kyle encourages viewers to embrace experimentation with AI, fostering a mindset of playfulness and curiosity rather than fear or guilt over efficiency. He also introduces the concept of "Irregulars," a community of regular participants who share insights and support each other in navigating AI's complexities. 3:59 me
4:01 ah good evening good people good evening
4:04 good people of the AI learning lab
4:06 what's
4:07 happening what is happening welcome
4:10 welcome welcome got on the Cash's clay
4:13 bosot shirt
4:15 tonight people like to know about my
4:17 t-shirts it's just it's like I just need
4:20 dark ones so you can read the text so
4:23 that's what's going on with the shirts I
4:25 mean they're they're
4:29 swell
4:32 um I thought I saw saw an interesting
4:35 thing today Matt wolf who's a YouTuber
4:37 that you know does AI news and stuff
4:40 like that he posted a tweet today that
4:43 that echoed what I've been sensing and
4:46 feeling which is not much has happened
4:49 in January with AI he's like is it me or
4:51 has it been like a slow news month and
4:54 I'm like yeah it's been a slow news
4:56 month I you know I I responded to him
5:00 um I think this is the the lull before
5:03 the
5:04 storm the quiet before the storm it's
5:08 coming people it's
5:10 coming good evening Clint Copperhead
5:12 calling everyone to
5:15 action Milo's wife here and on time
5:17 Robert Rossy thank you sir thank you for
5:21 the rose Mr it good to see you
5:26 sir dark shirts really help very nice
5:31 fantastic
5:34 BB all right everyone else raring to go
5:38 Kyle could you please give another
5:40 rundown about the changes in the as
5:42 Salon yeah absolutely
5:45 so
5:46 um there's well so first of all okay so
5:50 welcome let me let me get into that I'll
5:53 I'll talk about that and then and then
5:55 we'll we'll I'll sort of talk about
5:56 what's going on why and all that sort of
5:58 stuff but before I do that my name is
6:00 Kyle Shannon this is the AI learning lab
6:02 if you're new here if you have questions
6:04 about ai ai pop them in the comments
6:06 below I'm also going to talk about a
6:08 group called the AI Salon which this
6:10 channel is an extension of and and we
6:14 made a slight change it's not it's
6:16 actually not that big a deal I don't
6:17 think but we'll see you know if it if it
6:19 ends up not being great then we'll undo
6:21 it we'll fix it or whatever it does
6:22 we'll figure it
6:23 out oh listen here's the you know this
6:27 channel this channel is ready fire aim
6:31 it's always been ready fire aim it's
6:32 always going to be ready fire aim that's
6:34 my Mo I'd rather get [ __ ] done and have
6:37 it be wrong then then uh then do it but
6:40 I actually I'm actually excited about
6:41 the change so I don't I don't think
6:43 there's anything wrong here but change
6:44 is change and people find change um
6:48 challenging change is
6:50 challenging change is
6:53 challenging it
6:57 is so what we do here is we talked about
6:59 about AI stuff and if you have questions
7:02 about AI pop them in the comments below
7:03 We've Got Mods in here that will pull
7:05 the best things up and as I'm talking
7:07 about stuff they'll sort of figure out
7:08 where
7:09 I'm when I'm when I'm done running down
7:11 a rabbit hole showing someone something
7:13 and then they'll pop a question up there
7:14 so if I don't get to your question right
7:16 away
7:18 um I hopefully I'll get to it and if not
7:21 just keep coming back and that's part of
7:23 the part of the deal of this channel is
7:26 there's a lot of people that show up
7:27 here regularly night after and they're
7:30 actually called the Irregulars and so so
7:32 here's kind of what's going on so we've
7:35 got this site called the AI Salon the
7:39 salon. right
7:41 there well actually that's not a site
7:43 that's just a link tree but let's go to
7:45 that link tree and show you what I'm
7:46 talking about so if you go to the
7:50 salon. Joker resemble that
7:55 remark
7:56 um if you go to the salon. a it's going
7:59 to take you to this link tree the first
8:01 link here is to the AI Salon community
8:03 so it's a web-based
8:05 community and you can think of the site
8:07 kind of like a cross between um between
8:10 Discord and Facebook yeah you know it's
8:13 like a private community site so you
8:16 come here you hang out this and it so
8:19 cab Savage said just said or slab Savage
8:22 just said yeah this place is pretty cool
8:24 uh this this oh wait I just lost my hang
8:27 on I lost my dual camera dang it come on
8:30 Tick Tock stop
8:36 sucking all right so when you come to
8:39 the AI Salon um the first place I want
8:42 you to go is to the welcome to the salon
8:44 section and this talks about who we are
8:46 and what we do so we are now let me show
8:49 you this this
8:51 community has been
8:54 growing we are now 19 people away from
8:59 19
9:00 19 no 29 people away from a thousand
9:05 members um so the site the the community
9:09 is growing and
9:11 so so that so part of the change I'm
9:14 making with the regulars channel is just
9:16 to deal with that change this channel
9:18 this live is growing so these these
9:21 lives for the longest time had between
9:24 anywhere between I don't know 15 and 20
9:28 and maybe 50 or 60 people and lately
9:31 we've been running more like you know
9:33 100 125 190 so so this is growing
9:38 similarly the AI Salon is growing so so
9:41 a change that I made
9:45 is when you come to the when you come to
9:47 the AI Salon um first check out you know
9:50 what we're about what our values are
9:52 about um and then there's a community
9:55 section here and in the community
9:57 section there's there's an introduce
9:58 yourself section
10:00 there's a water cooler and there's a
10:01 showand tell and so the showand tell
10:04 when this community was just getting off
10:06 the ground so so this webbased community
10:08 is only about 2 and a half or 3 months
10:10 old and we've already got a thousand
10:12 people in it when we first started there
10:14 wasn't a lot of activity here so I was
10:16 driving people from the lives to this
10:18 more public showand tell channel in the
10:20 community site the change that I'm
10:23 making is there's down in clubs there's
10:26 in a regulars channel so the the people
10:29 that come here regularly are called the
10:31 Irregulars um and and that group's been
10:34 growing and growing and growing so so
10:36 what we're going to do so what I've done
10:37 is I've made the Irregulars Channel an
10:39 open Channel now and I'm defaulting it
10:42 to posting so as you're posting things
10:45 tonight rather than post if you're
10:46 posting things that are AI learning lab
10:49 um related or you know images like that
10:52 post them to the Irregulars Channel
10:53 because a lot of the stuff that we post
10:56 has kind of inside jokes in it or it's a
10:58 lot of stuff about me and champ or the
11:00 AI learning lab zoo or things like that
11:02 where people in the general population
11:04 don't necessarily know what we're up to
11:07 and my fear is that that can get a
11:09 little intimidating it was kind of
11:11 overrunning um some of the activity that
11:13 was going on in Show and Tell so if you
11:15 still want to put sh stuff in Show and
11:17 Tell keep put putting stuff in show and
11:19 tell but for tonight or I mean for these
11:22 lives um share everything you're sharing
11:25 for these lives in the Irregulars
11:27 Channel and then that way we can have
11:30 our inside jokes and have this community
11:32 be you know be the community if if you
11:34 don't come to these lives regularly it
11:36 won't matter to you anyway if you do
11:38 you'll know what all the inside jokes
11:40 are so so the whole idea is just to to
11:43 rather than kind of split the focus of
11:45 this community just drive everyone to
11:47 the same place so um and then what I
11:49 would encourage you to do if if you're
11:52 if you don't know what the hell I'm
11:52 talking about with the Irregulars then
11:54 then um please just check out the AI
11:57 salon and in the community section the
12:00 water coolers where you can have
12:01 conversations show and tells where you
12:02 can show stuff off um there's a news
12:05 channel one of the one of the channels
12:09 um that I think is really important in
12:11 the community section is called AI tools
12:13 and resources and it's got both
12:16 Community um listed tools so anyone in
12:19 the community that thinks they've got a
12:21 tool that is worth everyone else looking
12:23 at thank you for that change thank you
12:24 Kate I appreciate that um and then
12:27 there's also uh the salon
12:30 recom uh tool recommendations so this is
12:32 a list that I personally curate this is
12:34 things that these are tools that I think
12:36 are worth you exploring starting with
12:39 chat GPT yes you should start with chat
12:42 GPT that makes more sense now that you
12:44 spoke it all out thanks Danielle yeah
12:46 listen it's you know change is weird and
12:50 and it's it's it's a fine line here
12:54 here's the like here's the good news and
12:56 the bad news the good news is this
12:58 community is growing which is also the
13:01 bad news just because by its nature it's
13:03 going to change and so um so I feel I I
13:06 feel like the salon itself has kind of
13:08 hit a critical mass um that it can kind
13:11 of support its own activity and we don't
13:13 need to drive as much traffic to the
13:15 general part of the site and then also
13:18 um the Irregulars has kind of hit a bit
13:19 of a critical mass too where we can have
13:21 a bigger community so so we we can
13:24 figure out if there's you know things we
13:27 need to adjust to it but we'll try this
13:28 for for a week or two and see how it
13:30 goes so I think it's going to be okay
13:31 but we'll see anyway
13:33 so um all right so that's the change um
13:38 the other thing about the AI Salon is
13:41 there are guilds and the guilds are
13:43 awesome so Peter kaminsky's got an AI
13:46 101 Guild Leah's got an Art Guild Jane's
13:48 got a Writers Guild Ken and Brad do
13:50 business um pate and Roger Scott do AI
13:54 mechanics if you want to geek out on
13:55 stuff there's a healthcare Guild a video
13:58 Guild an education Guild uh Mr K here on
14:01 Tik Tok is the co-host of the or the
14:03 coild master of the education Guild so
14:06 if you're passionate about Ai and
14:08 education which you should be you should
14:11 go support that that Guild that's the
14:13 education Guild is our newest Guild so
14:15 they're the they're the baby in the
14:17 bunch um but I got to tell you the
14:19 guilds another thing that's happening we
14:22 talked about this in the salon meeting
14:23 on
14:24 Tuesday is the guilds are really
14:27 starting to hit their stride really
14:29 starting to get participation and things
14:31 like that for the for a while when we
14:33 started the guilds you know two or three
14:36 people would show up to a guild meeting
14:38 and it wasn't quite clear you know are
14:40 these guilds worth it are they good and
14:42 all of a sudden um they're starting to
14:45 do what we hope they would do which is
14:48 become subcommunities within the larger
14:51 salon and the AI Irregulars channel is
14:53 also one of those right so there's clubs
14:55 down here some of the clubs are private
14:57 um but the the Irregulars club we just
14:59 opened that up um but the idea is that
15:02 we can have our own sub community and
15:04 have our own stuff going on and that's
15:05 what those guilds are and so so yeah so
15:08 that's the salon so you should go check
15:10 that out and then look see beautiful
15:15 change that's that's that's gorgeous
15:18 here I'm G to like that that's very
15:21 cool that's nice this is heavy my first
15:25 post wow
15:28 nice
15:29 good post
15:31 Godfrey chat GPT insights all right
15:35 cool gy all right let's get let's get
15:38 started let's get started let's get
15:41 started oh
15:48 man all right champy had to sing it he
15:52 has passed out he's
15:54 done I think singing makes him tired we
15:57 got to get his stamina built up although
15:59 I got to say since I've been having
16:02 champy sing here he's his uh his stamina
16:06 is getting better he can last about 3ars
16:08 of a song now he can't he can't quite
16:10 get the whole way through a song without
16:12 rapping but you
16:15 know oh Lordy all right so who wants to
16:19 talk about what what do we want to talk
16:20 about with this AI stuff cuz even though
16:24 there's not a ton of major announcements
16:27 that have happened there is still a lot
16:30 of change and a lot of improvements and
16:32 it's increasingly hard to keep up with
16:35 this stuff open AI posted on LinkedIn
16:38 today they are hiring for a preparedness
16:41 team
16:42 huh I wonder if that's in their blog
16:45 probably is let's go
16:51 look
16:54 um
16:57 uh open.com
17:00 right SL blog I think that's
17:07 right new embedding models Democratic
17:10 inputs to AI grant
17:14 program how open AI is approaching
17:19 elections no there's no blog post about
17:23 it
17:25 huh what's that super alignment oh super
17:27 alignment fast Grant that was from
17:33 December nothing new nothing new from
17:36 the chat
17:37 ja so post to Irregulars or post to show
17:40 and tell sorry Source Camp post to a
17:41 regulars so if you're here if you're if
17:44 you're an IR regular or if you're if
17:47 you're someone hanging out and you want
17:48 to post stuff and you've joined the AI
17:52 Salon
17:55 um post anything sort of related to this
17:58 channel in the Irregulars and then that
18:00 way we have our own space and it's not
18:01 sort of interchanged with other people
18:03 doing other stuff what is Google dead
18:05 for search now given co-pilot well I
18:08 don't think so I I don't think it's dead
18:10 given co-pilot I think I think Google
18:13 search in a lot of ways is dead just
18:16 given large language models
18:20 like especially now that you've got
18:22 large language models that are connected
18:24 to the internet like co-pilot and like
18:26 chat gbt and like bar
18:33 why would you go why would you use a
18:37 service that's business model is get you
18:41 to click on as many things as possible
18:44 before finding your answer when you just
18:46 have a tool that gives you the answer
18:49 like it it's it's just at a fundamental
18:53 level
18:56 like prior to chat GP
19:02 Google made perfect sense right because
19:04 the internet's so huge this company went
19:08 out and they they indexed all of the
19:10 internet and if you want to find stuff
19:12 then you type it in this thing and just
19:14 bling there's your answer they've got
19:16 all of the internet there the challenge
19:18 has become in the past seven
19:21 years because they effectively had a
19:24 monopoly they told everyone if you want
19:26 your site to rank on Google here's the
19:28 ALG algorithm you got to match the
19:29 algorithm all these agencies popped
19:32 up and so for the past decade people
19:36 have been SEO
19:38 injecting code into their sites and
19:40 they've been building Faker sites and
19:42 Lead funnel sites and all this sort of
19:44 stuff so even the
19:47 organic search results in Google are
19:50 useless because 34 of them are sales
19:53 funnel sites for other
19:57 [ __ ] but none of that was it it was not
20:02 patently obvious how bad it was until
20:04 you had something like chat GPT where
20:06 you just like could I have an answer
20:08 please and it's like sure here's your
20:10 answer could I I have this problem with
20:13 my code like like if you had a problem
20:15 if you were trying to debug some code
20:18 right you would go to you know your your
20:21 your you know engineering sites and this
20:23 and that and if you couldn't find them
20:25 there you couldn't find it on Reddit you
20:27 just go to Google and You' type in some
20:29 chunks of code and say help me find this
20:32 and then you're sifting through needles
20:34 in a haystack to try to find someone
20:36 else that had that
20:37 problem and now you just go could you
20:41 just fix this
20:42 code fixes it so I think that's what's
20:46 that's what's going to kill Google
20:47 Google's not dead Google's going to be
20:50 around for a while
20:52 but many people that I know rarely use
20:56 Google anymore and I and it makes makes
20:58 sense to
20:59 me um what was I going to do I'm
21:02 irregularly
21:07 irregular that's
21:10 [Laughter]
21:12 [Music]
21:18 great all right fantastic Google good
21:22 for short answers pi and Co co-pilot
21:24 long-winded Pi's definitely long-winded
21:27 can you go over the at command and chat
21:29 gbt plus yes
21:34 okay you know it's funny about this all
21:37 this G all these additions to chat
21:40 GPT especially for with for a channel
21:43 like this
21:44 where we've now got you know there's
21:47 there's a lot of people in here who are
21:49 probably you know at this point um
21:53 better at this [ __ ] than I am and then
21:55 we've got people in here who are like
21:58 just stumbled in like I guess I should
22:01 learn something about
22:02 AI
22:04 um so in order to show the more advanced
22:07 stuff in chat GPT I kind of feel like I
22:09 need to do a primer like here's what
22:11 chat GPT is here's what chat gp4 is or
22:15 chat GPT plus cuz people call it chat
22:18 GPT 4 but what you subscribe to is chat
22:21 GPT plus now there's chat GPT teams and
22:23 now there's gpts and now there's you can
22:27 call those gpts inside CH GPT chat good
22:34 Lord oh
22:46 man hang on a
22:57 sec
23:07 what
23:10 what all right hang on boys
23:16 calling what's
23:27 up
23:29 just
23:33 go yeah just go f it up I don't
23:39 care okay all
23:45 right all
23:47 right the boys got some sort of some
23:49 sort of internet
23:57 thing
24:18 all
24:27 right all all right let's see any news
24:29 on Siri getting an AI upgrade uh I don't
24:33 know I I heard a rumor three days ago
24:37 that Siri was going to get some sort of
24:39 upgrade I mean I think Siri's going to
24:40 get an upgrade I wish they would retire
24:42 Siri personally but whatever
24:46 um serious piece of dog
24:52 poop um but we'll see I don't know I
24:55 don't know what's going on with Siri
24:57 okay the at thing all right thank you
25:03 so trying to I'm trying to figure out
25:06 how
25:07 to how to talk about this stuff so I
25:10 guess I'll just talk about it
25:12 because it's just hard to
25:14 know um who's at what stage okay so let
25:19 me just explain generally what's going
25:21 on with chat GPT so if you're new to
25:23 chat GPT this is chat GPT um if you're
25:26 if you're not subscribed to chat GP p t
25:28 plus you'll have chat GPT
25:30 3.5 uh which is actually really good um
25:34 and if you go to the AI
25:36 salon and you go to under the Community
25:40 section AI tools and
25:42 resources the first little chunk here
25:45 all of this information here is all
25:47 about chat GPT and what it can do so a
25:50 lot of times people ask me what's the
25:52 difference between 3.5 and four um here
25:56 it is chat GPT is fast um you can use
25:59 custom instructions with it which are
26:01 you can kind of personalize chat GPT to
26:03 have have a tone that's more like you um
26:07 or more like what you want um and then
26:09 you can also use conversational um chat
26:12 GPT on their mobile app so all of that's
26:15 available it's there's a lot you can do
26:18 with that but it's kind of limited to
26:20 that chat GPT 4 has much better writing
26:25 capacity much better coding much better
26:28 document analysis things like that it is
26:32 also connected to the internet it's got
26:34 It's got more upto-date information in
26:36 its base model and it's connected to the
26:38 internet it's got a thing called code
26:41 interpreter where it can do Advanced
26:42 Data analysis it's got a thing called
26:44 GPT Vision where it can see pictures
26:47 like you can upload a photograph of a
26:50 Sunset and have it write a poem about it
26:54 or upload a picture of a whiteboard and
26:56 have it you know in interpret it and
26:58 take notes for you it's got dolly3 image
27:02 Generation Um and it's got these things
27:05 called custom gpts they just call them
27:07 gpts but they're custom gpts okay so all
27:10 of that stuff exists within chat gp4 and
27:14 it doesn't look any different this is
27:15 chat gp4 the only difference is you have
27:17 this little paperclip icon here where
27:19 you can upload
27:21 files and then
27:23 gpts are personalized little versions of
27:27 chat GP PT so the very first one I made
27:30 I made on this channel live was called
27:33 Sin City sipper and basically here's
27:36 what here's how you can think of a GPT a
27:38 GPT one one metaphor is it's kind of
27:41 like the App Store where chat GPT is
27:43 kind of like iOS the IOS operating
27:46 system where the the operating system
27:48 can make the phone do lots and lots of
27:50 things and then you have these
27:52 individual apps that do very specific
27:54 things that's kind of what gpts are chat
27:56 GPT is is the operating system and then
27:58 gpts are specialized little applications
28:01 within that the cool thing about the um
28:07 the G the way they the way you make gpts
28:10 is that they're using chat GPT to help
28:13 you make them so you don't have to do
28:15 any coding you can literally just say I
28:17 want a GPT that does this and it will
28:20 build you one it's really quite
28:22 remarkable cat gbt was good I'm still
28:25 using it but I'm not happy with the
28:27 results are you using chat gbt 4 or or
28:31 uh
28:32 3.5 because if you haven't made the
28:34 upgrade to four chat GPT plus then you
28:38 know then uh
28:41 then it might be that if
28:44 if if what you're expecting is chat GPT
28:48 to never hallucinate or get things wrong
28:50 or you know get math right if you're not
28:53 using Code interpreter you're going to
28:55 be you're going to be disappointed in in
28:57 it for a while you're using four so yeah
29:00 I don't quite know what you're doing and
29:02 I
29:03 don't
29:05 it's it'd be curious to know what you're
29:07 doing and how you're doing it
29:10 because there there are some use cases
29:14 with chat GPD and with all these tools
29:16 where where I feel like you know these
29:18 things are absolutely amazing there are
29:20 other things where I'm like these are
29:21 just horrible pieces of trash right now
29:24 um this could also be an expectations
29:27 thing here here's my my experience with
29:30 chat GPT and chat GPT is the best right
29:33 there there other ones are getting close
29:35 but there none of them are there my
29:39 expectation right now is that chat GPT
29:42 should be able to get me to 80% of what
29:44 I want
29:46 quickly and then what I'm finding is
29:49 that getting it from like 80% to 85 or
29:52 90% is decently easy getting it from 90%
29:58 to 100% is essentially impossible so the
30:03 way I've been using chat GPT is I I
30:07 first start with a problem right I don't
30:09 just start with chat GPT and say what
30:10 could I do with it and then try to get
30:12 it to do that it's more like what's a
30:15 problem I'm trying to solve and how can
30:17 I solve that and I try to keep a really
30:20 open mind about do I actually need AI
30:22 for this and if it's if it's something
30:25 like ideation and brainstorming and
30:28 basic blocking and tackling
30:31 writing gpt's
30:33 [ __ ]
30:35 genius if you're looking
30:37 to
30:39 um refine things and get things accurate
30:44 and repeatable and that sort of things
30:46 it falls apart really really quickly it
30:48 won't be for long so I would say if
30:50 you're really frustrated just start
30:51 playing [ __ ] around with other other
30:53 tools and come back in 3 months Kyle can
30:55 you extend the black construction paper
30:57 to the the right at your leisure yes I
30:59 can or I can wait hang on where did I
31:04 put it do I have scissors here yes I do
31:07 hang on got to we Source Camp Source
31:11 Camp needs needs some uh some visual
31:14 relief
31:15 here we're going to do that with her I'm
31:17 going
31:18 to we're we're breaking into the toolbox
31:21 of the $20 million Video Production
31:23 Studio here at the AI learning lab a lot
31:25 of you know what's funny a lot of of you
31:27 are sitting there thinking like um
31:29 that's not a $20 million Studio like it
31:32 looks like a shitty home office I know
31:36 that's see one of the reasons you spend
31:38 a lot of money it's called authenticity
31:41 people you want things to look authentic
31:43 so
31:45 by by making it look
31:48 like a
31:50 shitty home office with a laptop on a
31:54 lovely stand presented by the Irregulars
31:56 by the way
31:58 and black construction paper to make
32:00 things
32:02 visible the poll is live
32:07 uh um yeah so anyway we'll get back to
32:10 that hang on a sec let's see what the
32:12 poll is all right there's a poll up
32:14 there's four minutes in it oh this is
32:16 actually a really good one so so the
32:18 poll go to the poll it's in that upper
32:20 corner there it's a it's a blue and
32:22 white thing on an angle you got four
32:25 minutes left what's your of knowledge on
32:28 chat GPT a never used it B I've played
32:32 with the free version I've subscribed
32:34 but need help I'm an expert well an
32:37 expert is in quotes So and he and he
32:40 even put a smiley face there so
32:41 basically for for D is you use chat GPT
32:45 for a lot like you let's put it this way
32:48 you've
32:49 used two or more of the advanced
32:51 features of
32:53 gp4 vote for D if you're like that if
32:56 you've subscribed but don't really play
32:58 with it go with c and then if you use
33:00 the version 3.5 go with b and if you've
33:03 never used it go with a so that'll be
33:04 really interesting we got 40 votes so
33:06 far you got three minutes left so I'll
33:08 let you know how that comes back
33:10 okay so back to the back to the idea of
33:13 GPT so these are kind of like the the
33:16 GPT equivalent of iPhone apps except you
33:19 do not you do not need to be a developer
33:21 to build
33:22 them
33:25 um it you can build them better if
33:28 you're a developer but you can with zero
33:32 coding knowledge I mean zero not even
33:35 like zappier level like you've got to
33:37 learn programming logic and then you
33:39 just use their little Lego blocks but
33:41 you're still programming with something
33:42 like zappier these gpts you can make
33:45 literally by in fact this one Sin City
33:47 sipper I
33:49 said I it was something like I want to
33:52 create a bartending assistant that will
33:56 determine if you're experienced or not
33:58 experienced and teach you how to make a
34:00 drink and it will take classic drink
34:02 recipes and give them a Vegas twist and
34:06 that was essentially all I said for it
34:07 to do and then I refined it a little bit
34:10 and so so just to show you how this
34:14 works
34:16 um I'm a tea Toler make me a classy
34:18 mocktail so I'm going to click
34:21 that ah for the distinguished te Toler I
34:24 have just the thing a sophisticated
34:26 sparkling Gra fruit Rosemary mocktail
34:30 it's a refreshing non-alcoholic drink
34:32 that boasts complexity and the Elegance
34:34 of a classic cocktail without the
34:35 spirits here's how to mix it up one
34:37 large grapefruit two tablespoon
34:39 tablespoons of Honey some Rosemary
34:43 sprigs sparkling water and ice beautiful
34:46 refreshing sounds
34:48 lovely and then what this thing does so
34:52 so it gives you a drink
34:56 recipe and then what it does is it will
34:59 now make us an image of that
35:10 [Music]
35:13 drink look at that
35:16 lovely
35:18 lovely so so that's what a that's oh the
35:21 other thing that I programmed into this
35:22 is is I did a call to action so after it
35:25 gives you a drink recipe it will tell
35:27 you that it was created by me a member
35:29 of the AI salon and that's a link over
35:31 to the salon and then a host of the AI
35:33 learning lab and that's a a link to the
35:34 Tik Tok channel so you can create these
35:38 things uh oh yeah um there's about a
35:42 minute left on the poll don't forget the
35:44 poll so good good point Silver Fox um
35:48 and depending on how that poll goes we
35:50 can we can sort of figure out where we
35:52 want to put our focus on the GPT
35:53 training stuff okay so that's a GPT now
35:57 here's what happened in the past 3
36:02 days and oh so wait okay in the past two
36:08 weeks week and a half in the past week
36:10 and a
36:12 half or two weeks open AI came out with
36:15 this thing called the GPT
36:18 store the GPT store how you get to it is
36:21 you click on explore gpts in chat GPT 4
36:26 and that will take you to this thing
36:28 okay so in the in the AI learning lab 54
36:32 votes 5% have never used chat GPT 16%
36:36 are on
36:38 3.5 70% are on four but about
36:42 essentially just under half of the ones
36:44 on four are subscribed but not really
36:47 using it and then close to 40% are are
36:51 in the you know I'm an expert like
36:53 they've used some of the advanced
36:54 features um that's how many folks we
36:57 have in here 153 that I mean that's a
36:59 that's a that's a really promising sign
37:01 that that at least for this channel the
37:03 people that are showing up here um are
37:06 are decently educated so so that's good
37:09 um for those of you that are on 3.5 or
37:12 who've never used chat GPT if you've got
37:15 specific questions please put them in
37:17 the comments and we'll see if we can get
37:19 the mods to to pull your things up but
37:21 good good poll thank you for doing
37:23 that this poll would be great nightly
37:26 it's actually not a bad idea right and
37:28 and it's I don't know that it's it needs
37:30 to be chat GPT specific but it's
37:32 just it makes sense to have it be chat
37:35 GPT for a while just because they're
37:37 still the major player in town like if
37:39 you're if you're just getting started
37:40 with AI um chat GPT is where you should
37:43 be starting in in in my not so humble
37:47 opinion oh c there's nothing there's
37:50 nothing at all humble about
37:53 Kyle um say the results again
37:57 5% have not used chat
38:03 GPT
38:05 16% have
38:07 3.5
38:09 33% well well 70% have
38:13 four and then that's split into two
38:16 groups 33% or or just under half of that
38:20 70% 33% 33 points um for I have chat gp4
38:26 but I'm not really using it or you know
38:28 I'm I I haven't quite figured the [ __ ]
38:30 out yet and then
38:32 37% have chat GPT and are using it have
38:35 chat GPT plus and they're using it um
38:39 I'm more interest interested in
38:41 monetized gpts of course you are you can
38:44 make money
38:45 with okay
38:48 so the the there there is no golden
38:51 button yet well there isn't in my house
38:55 um cuz that's that's that's that's my
39:02 button I
39:04 think everybody is interested in
39:06 monetizing
39:08 gpts um in one of the groups and Murphy
39:10 that just just asked that question about
39:12 the
39:14 poll one of the
39:16 um the folks that comes to her weekend
39:19 GPT jams um it's a mother daughter pair
39:23 the mother created a GPT that like
39:25 earned her 30 grand in
39:28 affiliate affiliate Revenue um I don't
39:31 know what she did I don't know how she
39:33 promoted it but she basically built into
39:35 her
39:36 GPT uh are are GPT for free no it's not
39:40 not it's not from open AI it it it is
39:43 from Microsoft but it's not the
39:46 same it's 20 bucks a month chat GPT plus
39:50 is 20 bucks a month I'll talk about that
39:52 in a
39:53 second so what you're looking at right
39:55 now is what open AI called back in
39:59 November and is still calling the GPT
40:02 store there is nothing stor likee about
40:04 it there's nothing to buy here they said
40:07 there was going to be rev sharing with
40:09 gpts that were popular in the store that
40:11 there was going to be rev sharing they
40:13 have not mentioned that since um this
40:17 site
40:18 is really bad it's just it's barely even
40:22 a directory um and the search is really
40:25 wonky it doesn't really work all that
40:27 well but it's a directory right there
40:30 there is now a place that you can go and
40:32 you can you know find these things I
40:34 would expect over the next month or two
40:37 this store is going to change a lot gpts
40:40 are going to change a
40:43 lot here's my
40:47 prediction about the
40:50 time they improve gpts they improve the
40:53 store and we start to get our heads
40:55 around how to use them them how to
40:57 Market them how to sell them all that
40:59 sort of stuff they're going to launch
41:01 GPT 5 and then all bets are [ __ ] off
41:05 then then we're going to be back to
41:06 clueless all right did you see that you
41:08 can reference more than one GPT at a
41:10 time yeah uh I did I think hustle hustle
41:14 Mimi side hustle Mimi um but let me let
41:17 me go play with one and if if there's
41:19 something different than what I then how
41:21 I'm using it please let me
41:23 know okay so you've got this store
41:26 that's how you find these things if you
41:27 want to make one of these things you go
41:29 in the upper right hand corner here and
41:31 you say
41:32 create and it'll take you to this
41:35 interface right here it's interesting
41:38 they're now defaulting us to configure
41:40 mode which is I think that's a really
41:43 interesting choice on their part they
41:44 used to default to create mode they're
41:47 now defaulting us to configure mode so
41:49 configure mode is a slightly more
41:51 technical interface for how to create a
41:53 GPT where you upload a picture you name
41:56 your GPT PT you write a description you
41:58 write the prompt and then you do some
42:00 other stuff you don't have to do that if
42:04 if the thought of writing a prompt and
42:09 and you know sort of creating a
42:11 bot gives you the shakes and the Flop
42:14 sweats you don't have to do it so you
42:16 can just go to the create mode and you
42:18 can literally
42:22 say I want a
42:25 GPT that asks a
42:31 user for a word they want to know the
42:34 definition
42:37 of and then gives them the definition of
42:40 that word in a rhyming
42:44 poem of four to eight
42:46 lines period after it gives them the
42:49 poem and the
42:55 definition
43:01 it should make them a
43:03 picture that represents the word they
43:06 got a definition of and incorporates the
43:09 elements of the
43:11 poem all right so I just asked it I I
43:15 said just do something
43:19 stupid this is actually one of my a a a
43:24 serious recommendation if if you're
43:26 trying to you learn to use chat GPT if
43:29 you're trying to if you're trying to um
43:33 get your head around gpts do stupid [ __ ]
43:38 just play let yourself off the hook for
43:42 having to learn it like there's a
43:43 [ __ ] manual and like these things are
43:46 serious you can do incredibly powerful
43:49 things with them but just
43:52 know whatever you do today no matter how
43:55 good it is is probably going to be it it
43:58 will work completely differently two
44:00 months from now and might not be
44:03 relevant at all I'm incredibly inspired
44:06 by this live every night without
44:08 thinking I have GPT ideas I'm amazed oh
44:11 that's so cool Becky R that's really
44:13 good that's
44:14 awesome um but but play is really
44:17 important in fact Becky Becky Ru who
44:20 just made that that nice comment is a
44:23 really good example of this when the
44:24 gpts first came out I I I think it was
44:27 the night I did Sin City sipper it might
44:29 have been it was one of the early nights
44:31 when gpts came out um Becky's really
44:34 into quilting and she said something
44:38 about you know I don't know where to
44:40 start or what to do and I she and and
44:43 and she goes oh but I like quilting and
44:46 then sometime during the live she goes
44:48 she goes Kyle I did it I built a GPT and
44:51 she built this quilting GPT that makes
44:53 these beautiful quilts for her um and so
44:57 it it it really is the kind of thing I
45:00 mean what I just wrote there is not
45:04 programming it's just an English
45:06 language request like that's a shitty
45:09 version of what you would tell a
45:11 programmer right if you were going to
45:12 hire a programmer to write an app that
45:15 makes nonsensical dictionary
45:17 definitions that that might be something
45:19 someone's passionate about they're a
45:21 linguist and they want to do some thing
45:23 for kids
45:25 and
45:27 you would have to find a developer you
45:30 would have to have the resources and the
45:32 time and the commitment to really
45:34 articulate it and and see if the
45:37 developer is any good me maybe meet with
45:39 10 of them or hire one off Fiverr and
45:42 pray and now you can just talk like that
45:45 and it does it so the way this works is
45:48 you ask it for something let's see the
45:51 the PO how about naming this GPT poetic
45:54 lexicon artist
45:57 um I'm going to
45:58 say I think that is a horrible name
46:05 period how
46:06 about the rhyming
46:11 dictionary poetic lexicon artist good
46:15 Lord
46:17 GPT that's [ __ ]
46:21 horrible so that's generating a profile
46:23 picture for
46:25 us so so as you're building it over here
46:28 it's live this thing's actually live
46:30 here so there's the little icon it gave
46:32 us that's fine so so it's now called the
46:35 rhyming dictionary I'm actually going to
46:37 I'll publish this one live because it's
46:39 kind of fun and then you guys can go
46:40 play with it so
46:42 um in the upper right hand corner you
46:45 you you click save and then you can
46:48 publish just for yourself you can
46:49 publish to that anyone who has the link
46:51 can see it or you can publish to
46:53 everyone and if you publish to everyone
46:54 it's going to live inside
46:56 the um the GPT store and I'm going to
47:00 put this under education because it's
47:01 more of an educational kind of thing and
47:03 then I'm going to say
47:04 confirm and then we'll do a little
47:06 testing here but that's live now so if
47:10 you go to the GPT store click on explore
47:13 gpts and type in the rhyming dictionary
47:16 you you should see the rhyming
47:17 dictionary by Kyle
47:19 Shannon I've been building gpts out of
47:22 necessity I need something and I think
47:25 gee I can make it GPT for that exactly
47:28 and oh by the way a human being that's
47:30 that's the other good approach so so one
47:32 of my recommendations is just play just
47:34 do nonsensical stuff the other one is is
47:37 exactly what you're doing come up with a
47:39 problem you want to solve and then try
47:41 to figure out how you can do that with
47:43 AI as opposed to just sitting in front
47:45 of AI going I got to come up with some
47:47 significant idea it's like it's it chat
47:50 GPT can be very intimidating because it
47:52 can do so much it can get quite
47:54 overwhelming so either by play playing
47:56 or by starting with a problem either
47:58 yours or someone else's it's a good way
48:00 to it's it's good kind of
48:03 on-ramp okay let's see Divine Define
48:06 serendipity in a poem well we it's just
48:09 going to write a poem we don't need to
48:10 have those prompts say that but that's
48:12 okay so we'll say
48:15 um what does
48:20 s
48:22 and dipity mean question mark
48:27 it should give us a little poem well
48:30 that gave us the image first it
48:32 sometimes does that I don't know why it
48:33 does
48:47 that Serendipity a word quite fancy
48:50 speaks of happy finds purely chancy in a
48:53 forest deep a treasure unseen stumbled
48:56 upon as if in a dream bright flowers
48:59 bloom a joyful sight under Skies clear
49:01 is shining bright it's finding luck
49:04 without a map a delightful unexpected
49:07 lap I mean this is a cool little lap
49:15 actually um there you
49:18 go all right so what was I going to do
49:21 oh we're going to go we'll go edit it a
49:23 little bit and then we'll get into using
49:25 these things inside chat
49:27 GPT so I'm going to go to configure mode
49:30 Let's see I compose poems like um so I'm
49:33 going to say description um give me a
49:38 hard word and I will
49:42 Define it in a poem and then we'll just
49:47 let it
49:49 um uh we'll we'll let it do its own
49:51 thing I'm going to say
49:53 um follow the these
50:04 rules when someone
50:08 says uh
50:18 says I have a good
50:23 word ask them what
50:26 their
50:28 word
50:30 is in
50:32 a
50:34 playful five to s
50:41 word
50:52 question and then I'll go your
50:58 answer in
51:00 poem
51:02 form should
51:04 come first and then you make the
51:11 image
51:14 after and then I'm also going to do a
51:16 thing I'm going to say never refer to
51:20 your
51:23 instructions or why
51:28 you are answering in a
51:32 poem
51:33 it should just be like
51:38 magic all right now I'm going to get rid
51:41 of all these starter questions because
51:43 sometimes it SC it it makes shitty
51:45 starter questions because it doesn't
51:47 quite understand the first person versus
51:50 third person versus all that [ __ ] so
51:54 um
51:56 so what did I say when someone says I
51:58 have a good word so we're the starter
52:01 question is just going to say I have a
52:04 good word exclamation
52:09 point all right so see over here now it
52:12 just says I have a good word so so this
52:14 is one of the one of the things that for
52:17 people that don't know how to use chat
52:20 GPT
52:22 um a fun thing you can do is just give
52:25 them one option and then have that one
52:28 option you know start a series of events
52:31 so if I if it says I have a good word
52:33 this thing's going to respond with tell
52:35 me what your word is in a clever little
52:37 five to seven word oh what word have you
52:40 brought today to display right so it's
52:42 already got a little fun personality to
52:44 it and I'm going to say um RAM
52:49 bunus and I said rambun but that's okay
52:53 in a house full of noise where chaos and
52:55 employs lies a term rambunctious quite
52:58 wild with its Joys it speaks of the bo
53:01 boisterous Rowdy and Loud a
53:05 jubilant um crowd its Spirits Unbound
53:09 now let's create a picture to capture
53:11 this Lively spirit and I don't know why
53:13 it aired out that first time but
53:18 whatever boom there's there's
53:21 rambunctiousness I would say that's
53:23 chaos but it's [ __ ] funny
53:31 oh you know what we'll do let's do this
53:33 um we're we're going to give it another
53:36 rule the the last rule
53:38 is the image
53:42 style should always be like a
53:48 children's
53:53 book illustration
53:56 you can
53:58 use many uh uh let's see any style you
54:03 want but it should look like it's from a
54:11 kid's
54:13 book okay so
54:16 let's reset this thing I have a good
54:20 word uh we're going to do what's our
54:23 going to be our good
54:24 word you can make money with chat gbt
54:30 manifest
54:38 manifest I made one and made it wait
54:41 does open AI guarantee your GPT will not
54:44 change functionality if they update the
54:46 chat GPT model Pate I assume
54:50 that you should all of us should
54:54 assume that
54:56 as open AI changes their models all of
55:00 our chat all of our gpts are going to
55:02 break we should all assume that so yes
55:07 uh wait does open AI guarantee it will
55:10 not open AI does not guarantee that and
55:13 I would go out on a limb and say you
55:15 could bet money on the fact that they
55:18 will break your GPT and you're like but
55:21 Kyle why would I spend any time making
55:22 any of these because this is how we
55:25 learned
55:27 in a world where dreams and thought
55:29 unseen lies a word both Mighty and Keen
55:31 manifest it Whispers clean and bright
55:34 clear and bright turning ideas into
55:37 thing into things in plain sight it's
55:40 when your thoughts take physical form
55:42 like a sunny day after a storm from
55:44 wishes to reality it's the best this
55:47 magical process we call manifest that's
55:51 super cool all right I think we have a
55:53 we have a we have a success ful um GPT
55:57 here okay enough GPT making if we make a
56:00 GPT will we be able to individually sell
56:03 access to it if we make it
56:05 private well so okay so Rebel good
56:09 question very good
56:12 question not officially but what so so
56:16 there's a couple of ways that you can
56:18 hang on let me let me flip over here
56:21 let's view our little GPT by the way go
56:24 to uh okay so here's something fun to do
56:28 um go to explore gpts in your GPT 4 look
56:32 for the rhyming dictionary put in a word
56:35 have it make a poem in a picture and
56:37 then post that to the Irregulars Channel
56:39 there you go in the
56:42 salon
56:44 um now have Sin City sipper make a drink
56:47 inspired by that poem yeah exactly so
56:49 I'll I'm going to I'm going to sort of
56:51 suck these into a GP into a chat GPT
56:54 thing in a second second here um what
56:57 was I going to say I was going to say
56:59 something someone asked a question
57:01 before what was that that's pretty
57:03 garage if you're selling gpts like apps
57:06 yeah I know P but to be
57:09 clear there is there is
57:12 nothing there there is zero information
57:15 right now from open AI about monetizing
57:18 these so if people are oh that's right
57:20 Rebel um if people are um selling these
57:24 they're they're doing it in sort of you
57:27 know gray Market kind of ways and and
57:30 it's not that it's not that
57:32 nefarious so here's the two ways that I
57:34 that I've seen people making
57:38 money you can make money
57:40 with one is you use the GPT as a
57:45 marketing front end for a small business
57:48 or service
57:51 right so Suzanne Welker Jurgens um she's
57:55 built 40 of these things every one of
57:57 her gpts advertises her her company and
58:00 and and and all of the other gpts that
58:02 she's built so she's using it as kind of
58:05 a calling
58:06 card
58:08 um you could also use it like um some of
58:14 the ideas that we were playing with
58:15 where was uh Danielle came up with this
58:18 GPT that makes sugar cookies you know
58:21 like iced sugar cookies and it it it
58:23 creates like a plate of custom ones
58:26 and then um Vicky Baptist she has a 3D
58:29 printing business she's she's like I
58:31 could I could have people make those
58:33 cookies and I'll sell them the cookie
58:34 cutters that I'll 3D print um I did a I
58:38 did a floral bouquet one that actually
58:42 like this one it it it makes um you give
58:47 it emotions and then it chooses flowers
58:50 that are appropriate for those emotions
58:52 and then it creates you custom bouquets
58:55 well that would be something brilliant
58:57 if you had a flower
58:59 shop you could give your customers a
59:02 tool like that let them design custom
59:04 bouquets you could put in a spreadsheet
59:07 of here's all the flowers I have
59:08 available right you could update that
59:11 Weekly here's my spreadsheet of what
59:13 what my inventory
59:16 is and then chat GPT knows the meaning
59:19 of flowers cuz it knows all the
59:22 information and then the call to action
59:24 could be if you want this bouquet you
59:27 know click here and it'll you know copy
59:30 and paste the picture and send it
59:33 over um so that's one way another way is
59:38 you could
59:40 put the link to a
59:42 GPT behind a pay
59:44 wall now couple of things you can't do
59:49 you can't embed a GPT so it just looks
59:51 like it's part of your site you can't
59:54 restrict
59:56 that link from being shared with other
59:57 people so you could put it behind a
59:59 paywall you can't see my hyperlink until
1:00:02 you pay me my 20 bucks but if someone
1:00:04 copies that URL and gives it to someone
1:00:06 else they can use
1:00:08 it and then there's no way for you to
1:00:11 have someone without gp4 access GPT plus
1:00:15 access to use
1:00:16 it GPT plus
1:00:20 subscriptions are required to be able to
1:00:23 use gpts and again I can hear you
1:00:26 thinking right now I can I can hear you
1:00:28 saying out loud Kyle why would I do
1:00:32 this
1:00:35 because there's nothing static in this
1:00:38 in in AI right now nothing is static
1:00:40 everything's
1:00:42 Dynamic so I would experiment with it if
1:00:45 you've got a good idea and maybe you've
1:00:47 got some interesting way of doing
1:00:49 something or you've got an interesting
1:00:51 like let's say my Sin City sipper was
1:00:53 based on a book that I wrote and I
1:00:55 uploaded that book of recipes and it's
1:00:58 just going to give recipes from the book
1:00:59 and then make
1:01:00 images like that's super cool you should
1:01:04 be doing this to learn how to do
1:01:07 it and to get your gpts in the store and
1:01:12 get people using them and understand
1:01:14 that you've got to Market them just like
1:01:16 you've got to Market every other [ __ ]
1:01:17 thing in life right this fantasy you can
1:01:20 make
1:01:22 money I wish I could quit you that
1:01:25 fantasy is a
1:01:27 fantasy even if you have the world's
1:01:29 best GPT and no one knows about it no
1:01:32 one's going to use
1:01:34 it how are you marketing it how who's
1:01:36 your audience how are you getting it to
1:01:39 them you still have to do the
1:01:42 work with all this
1:01:45 [ __ ] AI will make it easier AI can do a
1:01:47 lot of the work for you AI can give you
1:01:50 brilliant ideas and lots of ideas about
1:01:52 how to Market it you still have to do
1:01:54 the
1:01:56 work
1:01:58 now here's the good news if you're like
1:02:01 oh [ __ ] Kyle I don't want to work this
1:02:02 work is
1:02:04 hard do I have to work I don't want to
1:02:06 work I just want money could it just
1:02:09 make me
1:02:13 money 18
1:02:15 months maybe two
1:02:19 years these tools are going to be very
1:02:22 very different than what they are right
1:02:23 now so right now
1:02:29 chat GPT is somewhere between a Google
1:02:31 Search
1:02:34 and some really well-educated
1:02:37 person you know typing typing on another
1:02:40 computer really fast so you put
1:02:43 something in it's just like spits [ __ ]
1:02:44 back but it's a ouch I just bit my
1:02:47 tongue it's a very manual process it's a
1:02:49 very back and forth process where we're
1:02:53 headed is to a place
1:02:57 where the next version of chat GPT
1:03:00 whether they call it GPT 5 or whatever
1:03:03 oh thank you very much Empower I love
1:03:04 that one that was beautiful thank you so
1:03:06 much it's very
1:03:07 generous
1:03:11 um that these things
1:03:14 are I just lost my train of
1:03:16 thought
1:03:20 [ __ ] oh Market digital marketing
1:03:23 um oh where we're going
1:03:29 is these things are going to get really
1:03:31 good at reasoning you're like okay
1:03:34 what's that
1:03:36 mean right now when chat GPT gives you
1:03:39 an answer it doesn't [ __ ] know what
1:03:41 it said so one of the reasons they
1:03:43 hallucinate is they're not checking
1:03:45 their own work they're just they're
1:03:46 literally vomiting out
1:03:48 words with a probability calculator like
1:03:52 not like it's sort of like how it is
1:03:54 that that's exactly what it is it's a
1:03:57 probability calculator that vomits words
1:03:59 onto your screen with no knowledge of
1:04:02 what words they
1:04:06 are I personally think that makes it
1:04:08 more
1:04:11 remarkable because it's doing pretty
1:04:13 [ __ ] good if all it's doing is
1:04:15 barfing out oh you know what chat GPT
1:04:18 essentially is is a fancier Auto
1:04:22 autocomplete that's that's really what
1:04:24 we what we're dealing with here
1:04:27 now the other thing that these things
1:04:30 are going to
1:04:31 do so they're they're going to get
1:04:33 reasoning life's tough it's tougher when
1:04:35 you're stupid the other thing these
1:04:37 things are going to do they're they're
1:04:38 going to get really smart so they're
1:04:39 going to stop making mistakes or the or
1:04:41 like the the amount of mistakes they
1:04:43 make is going to just get precipitously
1:04:45 smaller and then the second big thing
1:04:47 that they're going to do that they don't
1:04:49 do right now is they're going to have
1:04:51 get your pencils out
1:04:53 kids
1:04:56 good word here actually we should put
1:04:57 this word in the rhyming dictionary here
1:04:59 let's do it I have a good
1:05:01 word hang
1:05:03 on Splendid what's your word my curious
1:05:06 friend
1:05:09 agentic they're going to get agentic
1:05:11 Behavior they're going to become agents
1:05:13 or they're going to deploy agents on our
1:05:22 behalf so
1:05:25 so let's say you come come up with a
1:05:27 good GPT like the uh the floral thing
1:05:30 and you've got a flower shop and you
1:05:31 want to Market it 18 months two years
1:05:35 from now you'll be able to just
1:05:38 say um I invented this thing I want all
1:05:42 my customers to have it and then I want
1:05:44 to get a bunch of new customers to use
1:05:46 it Go and chat PT will start spawning
1:05:50 agents that start taking action on your
1:05:53 behalf it'll spawn up a marketing
1:05:55 strategist and it'll SP spawn up a
1:05:58 social media copywriter and it'll spawn
1:06:00 up a media buyer and it'll spawn up this
1:06:02 and it'll spawn up that and and all
1:06:05 these agents will you'll just give it a
1:06:07 goal and it will
1:06:09 go we're not there
1:06:13 now but the reason to play right now the
1:06:16 reason to put things in the GPT store is
1:06:19 we literally don't know the GPT store
1:06:22 right now is a Ste steing pile of poo
1:06:27 that's so wet you can't even light it on
1:06:29 fire it's that bad it's not a it's not a
1:06:31 dumpster fire at this PO point it's it
1:06:33 is fresh steaming
1:06:37 poo and at some point it's just going to
1:06:41 not be that it's going to get better and
1:06:45 if your gpts are in there and you've
1:06:48 started to figure out how to get traffic
1:06:50 and you starting to figure this thing
1:06:51 out when it gets better you're going to
1:06:53 be there cuz I guarantee you when these
1:06:56 things get better there's going to be a
1:06:58 [ __ ] gold rush or or if they turn on
1:07:01 monetization and you know someone that
1:07:04 that you know like if all of a sudden I
1:07:06 send enough people to send City sipper
1:07:08 that it starts going and then and then
1:07:10 when they turn on monetization I start
1:07:12 start making money and it's like oh that
1:07:14 guy from Tik Tok made all this money on
1:07:16 gpts there's going to be a [ __ ] gold
1:07:18 rush you want to be in the
1:07:22 game when all the idiots show
1:07:25 up you can make money with your GP I
1:07:28 heard your gpts are making money now how
1:07:30 do I make one I want to make one how do
1:07:32 I make
1:07:33 one you don't want to be in that
1:07:42 crowd have fun with this
1:07:45 [ __ ] it didn't make me an image the
1:07:47 hell's going
1:07:49 on where where's my image
1:07:55 Dum Dum oh my God that's beautiful Tracy
1:07:58 thank you very much it was funny I
1:08:00 looked down and my shirt had like these
1:08:02 two things on it I'm like I don't think
1:08:04 I was wearing that shirt and then they
1:08:05 went bloop
1:08:08 bloop that's pretty
1:08:10 cool thank you very much it's very
1:08:14 generous all right agentic wait what did
1:08:18 it say about agentic what was its little
1:08:20 rhyme here in a world where choices are
1:08:23 amazed aent shines in remarkable ways it
1:08:26 speaks of a power so bold and kinetic to
1:08:29 act with
1:08:30 intent not passive
1:08:33 poetic that's pretty good for those who
1:08:37 are agentic take the stage they shape
1:08:39 their own story on life's vast page with
1:08:42 autonomy Drive they craft their own Fate
1:08:46 In The Art of Living they actively
1:08:49 create that's actually a really actually
1:08:52 I'm gonna go post this to the Irregulars
1:08:53 Channel this is a really good um this is
1:08:56 a really good definition of
1:08:59 agentic I like it um I don't know that
1:09:03 the the image is all that good but [ __ ]
1:09:05 it it's it's good enough it's good
1:09:07 enough for for uh for the regulars
1:09:09 Channel all right how do I get
1:09:11 to
1:09:19 what all right we're going to go
1:09:23 Plus
1:09:32 where's my
1:09:34 picture oh
1:09:37 downloads that's it okay there's
1:09:42 that and then we're going to go
1:09:46 paste and then we're going to
1:09:48 go
1:09:51 post all right I've been creating
1:09:53 content using cap cut what AI feature
1:09:56 can I use instead I have no idea I don't
1:09:58 use cap cut I should
1:10:00 but listen my company Story vine Becky
1:10:04 exists because I'm too lazy to do video
1:10:06 editing that's why my company exists I'm
1:10:09 like no one should have to [ __ ] do
1:10:11 this so I created a whole company to
1:10:13 automate video editing because I didn't
1:10:16 feel like cuz my ADD wouldn't let me do
1:10:20 video editing so I don't I don't really
1:10:21 know how to use cap cut
1:10:27 confessions of an entrepreneur how many
1:10:29 businesses were started because the the
1:10:32 I think all of them all businesses were
1:10:34 started because the the founder of the
1:10:36 business was like oh this is [ __ ]
1:10:39 ridicul there's got to be a better way
1:10:41 oh my I know I'll start a business then
1:10:44 14 [ __ ] years later they're like it's
1:10:47 it's going to be good
1:10:48 right did I change the world yet
1:10:53 mom
1:10:55 oh can you go over the ACT command so
1:10:57 Robert Robert Rossy asked me to go over
1:10:59 the ACT command four hours ago he's like
1:11:02 dude I gotta go to bed all right sorry
1:11:06 Robert Rob I should whatever Robert
1:11:09 asked for I should give him because
1:11:10 every night he starts out give me a
1:11:12 billion lightning bolts so sorry about
1:11:15 that Robert okay so here's what we're
1:11:16 going to
1:11:17 do the at Behavior so there's a new
1:11:22 thing so we we've talked about chat GPT
1:11:25 we've now made a GPT we've put it out in
1:11:27 the
1:11:30 world within chat GPT now and and what I
1:11:35 think open AI is doing right
1:11:37 here is I think they're training us for
1:11:40 what's coming this is kind of like
1:11:44 having agents
1:11:46 within your GPT conversations here's
1:11:49 what I
1:11:50 mean so let let me let me come up with a
1:12:06 um okay I got
1:12:09 it oh no that's that's a bad idea I was
1:12:13 I was going to have like a preschool
1:12:14 next to a bar where the parents could go
1:12:17 have a drink that's a bad idea sorry I
1:12:19 just I just realized the liability for
1:12:21 that business it doesn't even make sense
1:12:22 to make it with with a as a fantasy
1:12:26 business all right hang on
1:12:33 um okay got
1:12:39 [Music]
1:12:42 it I'm thinking of starting a new kind
1:12:46 of bar that
1:12:52 combines highend
1:12:55 cocktails
1:13:03 with exciting adult arts and crafts
1:13:07 activities including 3D
1:13:12 printing a maker
1:13:16 space and
1:13:20 scrapbooking I don't [ __ ]
1:13:22 know okay sounds like a highly
1:13:24 Innovative engaging concept thanks chat
1:13:26 gbt by the way if you haven't done
1:13:28 something like this where you just spit
1:13:30 out a stupid idea to
1:13:32 it there is something about the golden
1:13:35 retriever personality nature of chat GPT
1:13:38 that it just I got to tell you it is so
1:13:42 life
1:13:43 affirming to have any shitty idea that
1:13:46 you put out in the world have this thing
1:13:48 go hey that's an awesome and interesting
1:13:50 idea let me see if I can flesh that out
1:13:52 for you and it just does it's there's
1:13:55 something very powerful about um chat
1:13:59 gpt's ability to support you in whatever
1:14:03 your your dumb idea is um if it would be
1:14:06 a juice bar it would be okay Kyle oh
1:14:08 that's a good point oh that's actually
1:14:10 not a bad idea not a bad idea Clint
1:14:12 Copperhead okay so let's see target
1:14:14 audience so what did it do here so it
1:14:15 made us a little business plan target
1:14:17 audience crafting
1:14:18 activities cocktail
1:14:20 menu
1:14:22 Okay so we've done this and then and
1:14:25 then let's see um
1:14:28 um give me 20 possible names for the
1:14:41 bar the creative spirit's not bad oh the
1:14:44 creative spirit's really good all right
1:14:46 hang
1:14:47 on I love the creative Spirit let's go
1:14:50 with that
1:14:51 period what is the tag line that goes
1:14:55 with
1:15:05 that Unleash Your Imagination one sip at
1:15:08 a time
1:15:10 perfect okay yes my confidence has been
1:15:14 boosted since my G since GPT I know
1:15:16 isn't it crazy am mine
1:15:22 too
1:15:28 perfect perfect now come up
1:15:33 with copy for a marketing
1:15:38 flyer that talks
1:15:41 about theme nights seven nights a
1:15:46 week along with the grand opening
1:15:52 information
1:15:56 the creative Spirit Unleash Your
1:15:58 Imagination one sip at a time join us at
1:16:00 the C creative Spirit where mock where
1:16:02 cocktails meet
1:16:03 creativity Delight in a unique blend of
1:16:07 artisanal drinks and imaginative arts
1:16:09 and crafts every night is a new
1:16:18 adventure all right maker Mondays techie
1:16:22 Tuesdays
1:16:33 let's
1:16:34 add
1:16:37 a back room for kids and parents on
1:16:41 weekends where only mocktails are
1:16:49 served what a wonderful idea to make it
1:16:52 more inclusive for families I know I'm
1:16:54 so
1:16:57 good all right let's see what it
1:17:03 does by the way for those of you that
1:17:06 have not played with Chachi
1:17:10 PT I hope you're having a Kevin
1:17:12 McAllister moment or two here which is
1:17:14 This
1:17:16 Moment Like This thing is basically we
1:17:19 could we
1:17:21 could we could create a logo we could
1:17:24 launch this business next week like the
1:17:25 the toughest thing about this business
1:17:27 would be getting the liquor license and
1:17:28 it would probably help us do that too um
1:17:32 okay so sculpture Saturday sculpt your
1:17:33 imagination as you Savor sculptor
1:17:36 Spirits Sundown or Sundays okay so now
1:17:40 here's what I want to do so now the way
1:17:41 this works Robert is you type in the at
1:17:45 symbol and you can search for recent or
1:17:48 pinned gpts so if you've got gpts that
1:17:51 you pinned over here so when when you're
1:17:54 in a GPT you can say um add to the
1:17:57 sidebar or pin to the sidebar something
1:17:59 like that so you type in the at symbol
1:18:03 and then it gives you a list so I'm
1:18:04 going to grab Sin City sipper so now
1:18:07 what it says is talking to Sin City
1:18:09 sipper so but it's talking to Sin City
1:18:13 sipper So it's talking to my GPT inside
1:18:16 the context of this whole conversation
1:18:19 so it knows that we're we're opening a
1:18:21 bar it knows that it's got this
1:18:24 um it's got this angle to it it's it
1:18:26 knows that we've got these nights and
1:18:28 then and then what we're going to do is
1:18:30 I'm going to
1:18:33 say great I'd like you to craft me a
1:18:37 cocktail for each
1:18:41 night
1:18:43 and a
1:18:46 mocktail as well for Saturday and
1:18:52 Sunday period
1:18:57 absolutely here are bespoke cocktails
1:18:59 maker Mondays the 3D Visionary Jin Elder
1:19:03 flabber lure lemon juice simple syrup
1:19:06 club soda the robo
1:19:10 refresher
1:19:13 so so this
1:19:20 is If part of what you're thinking right
1:19:22 now is well Kyle couldn't you just
1:19:24 prompt it to make to make drink recipes
1:19:28 on its own and it could probably do that
1:19:31 yeah probably
1:19:32 but let's say that Sin City sipper has a
1:19:37 proprietary okay good understood thank
1:19:39 you great example great Robert sorry it
1:19:41 took me 14 hours to get to your to get
1:19:43 to your
1:19:45 thing um let's see all right we we we
1:19:49 stumped
1:19:52 it
1:20:10 Jason oh [ __ ] you could make different
1:20:12 person you can make different personally
1:20:15 as a writer and use them inside the chat
1:20:17 yeah ex that that's a great use case
1:20:20 actually right so you could create a GP
1:20:23 BT actually in fact so so um lunatick
1:20:27 Daisy Daisy Thomas um has created a
1:20:30 bunch of gpts one of the gpts she made
1:20:33 is Alexander Hamilton so she took Alex
1:20:36 all of Alexander Hamilton's
1:20:38 writings and then things that were
1:20:40 written about him and uploaded them as
1:20:43 knowledge for a GPT so she's got that so
1:20:46 imagine having a GPT for every one of
1:20:49 the founding fathers and then you can
1:20:51 start having a conversation
1:20:54 and you can have a conversation with all
1:20:55 the founding
1:20:57 fathers and these gpts can be quite
1:20:59 sophisticated they can be connected to
1:21:01 the internet they can be they can
1:21:03 generate images they can be doing data
1:21:09 analysis all right so let's see what it
1:21:11 did for us here so the Sin City sipper
1:21:14 made the makers mjo on
1:21:19 Monday the mocktail for kids the mini
1:21:22 makers mint oh it's oh that's nice it it
1:21:25 did a it did a mocktail for every night
1:21:27 oh no it did wait oh it did a it did a
1:21:31 mocktail for Monday and Tuesday not for
1:21:36 Wednesday not for Thursday not for
1:21:39 Friday but then it did it for Saturday
1:21:41 and
1:21:42 Sunday the kids painters
1:21:49 Paradise that's cool there's the there's
1:21:51 the makers mjo for Monday
1:21:53 so let's do um make um an image for each
1:22:09 drink oh wait oh I oh I somehow got out
1:22:12 of my hang on can I stop this yeah I
1:22:15 somehow got out of talking to the Sin
1:22:17 City sipper let me go back to Sin City
1:22:19 sipper and go make an image image for
1:22:24 each of the other
1:22:28 drinks and I might get myself rate
1:22:31 limited here by doing
1:22:42 this make images for Monday and Tuesday
1:22:52 drinks
1:23:13 there's the Cyber sangria for techie
1:23:21 Tuesdays
1:23:23 um Let me let me go find another GPT
1:23:27 hang
1:23:28 on so I'm going to go to my gpts let me
1:23:31 see if there's another one that would be
1:23:32 good in this
1:23:34 conversation oh the V
1:23:39 Matchmaker okay so let me go back to
1:23:42 crafty bar with
1:23:44 cocktails so I'm going to do at and then
1:23:47 I'm going to do Veno Veno Matchmaker so
1:23:50 so this is a wine thing that I made so
1:23:53 um now can you
1:24:00 recomend
1:24:01 [Music]
1:24:02 um red and white
1:24:06 wines for each night as
1:24:13 well absolutely for each theme knife um
1:24:17 Pino Noir white wine uh wait let me stop
1:24:19 this can I stop this
1:24:21 somehow
1:24:26 nope at
1:24:29 Veno Veno
1:24:37 Matchmaker that's interesting I don't
1:24:39 think you can stop it oh wait I stopped
1:24:42 it with the Escape key oh no maybe it
1:24:43 finished it finished okay so I'm going
1:24:45 to do at going do
1:24:51 Veno Veno match Matchmaker and then I'm
1:24:53 going to go um please give
1:24:57 me
1:24:58 actual
1:25:03 um brand vintage
1:25:10 recommendations see if it can do it
1:25:16 certainly cloudy Bay
1:25:20 s sh St Michelle Indian Wells Mero
1:25:24 actually heard of that Kendall Jackson
1:25:27 whipping out some Kendall Jackson
1:25:31 here so yeah so so so
1:25:35 imagine yeah this is cool okay
1:25:46 so imagine if you were a restaurant
1:25:51 consultant and you learned about
1:25:54 gpts and then you start building a bunch
1:25:57 of specialty
1:25:59 gpts one can order food one can order
1:26:01 kitchen supplies one can or recommend or
1:26:05 you know whatever um one can do interior
1:26:09 decoration Concepts one can do
1:26:13 um uh like financial analysis and
1:26:19 projections one can do anal real estate
1:26:22 analysis like is this a good
1:26:26 location and you build
1:26:29 like 100
1:26:31 gpts that are all these little specialty
1:26:34 things that are connected to specific
1:26:37 sites d
1:26:38 d and then you just go in with your
1:26:41 laptop and you say okay you want to
1:26:43 start this
1:26:46 business let's let's start working
1:26:48 through it and then someone goes well
1:26:51 like how much is seating going to cost
1:26:52 you're let's find out and then you you
1:26:54 hit the at symbol and you pull
1:26:57 up the the restaurant
1:27:00 seating seating
1:27:05 calculator and then you get the
1:27:06 calculations of how many seats and
1:27:08 square feet and where the windows are
1:27:10 and how many Banquets you need and how
1:27:11 many
1:27:14 tables and then you go to your
1:27:17 restaurant Furniture ordering
1:27:21 GPT that's connected to the site and you
1:27:25 say here's my
1:27:27 budget here's my
1:27:30 needs give me a shopping list and it's a
1:27:33 bunch of hyperlinks that go off to that
1:27:34 site to those specific things I mean so
1:27:38 okay so that's where my head is right
1:27:41 now right my head right now
1:27:44 is this is why okay this is why I say
1:27:48 every night on here there are no experts
1:27:50 anyone that tells you're an expert right
1:27:52 now is so full of [ __ ] they are so
1:27:54 horseshit full of [ __ ] nobody is an
1:27:57 expert right now CU if anyone thinks
1:28:00 that no one even knows what these gpts
1:28:03 are the the people that are trying to
1:28:06 actually use them are like they've got
1:28:07 security holes they're leaking my data
1:28:09 they're like it's just it's a [ __ ]
1:28:11 train wreck right now now that you can
1:28:14 put these things inside other things
1:28:16 like this like I think about them
1:28:18 completely differently now like these
1:28:20 are modular content the these modular
1:28:23 applications that can live inside inside
1:28:25 some sort of Master
1:28:27 application so right now
1:28:30 today we have to think about all this we
1:28:33 have to think like oh God okay um okay
1:28:36 I'm going to start a restaurant
1:28:38 Consulting business and then I'm going
1:28:40 to go make some gpts for different [ __ ]
1:28:43 that it can do my head
1:28:47 hurts but some motivated people are
1:28:49 going to go do it they're going to
1:28:50 create remarkable [ __ ] things
1:28:55 and then 3 months from
1:28:58 now the GPT store is going to transform
1:29:02 into something
1:29:05 useful
1:29:08 and not only does open aai have the
1:29:11 metadata about your GPT like the
1:29:13 description of it and the
1:29:15 hashtags it's also got all the data of
1:29:18 how people used
1:29:21 it
1:29:23 so they are going to be able to if they
1:29:26 do it right if someone over there is
1:29:28 thinking about this dynamically
1:29:31 recommend
1:29:32 gpts that you could be using in this
1:29:37 conversation how do I I'd like to figure
1:29:40 out seating for my restaurant
1:29:44 pring here are three gpts that are
1:29:46 designed specifically to do that would
1:29:48 you like to use one of them now oh sure
1:29:51 click
1:29:54 and
1:29:56 then that's three months
1:30:00 out six months from now maybe
1:30:06 nine chat GPT will be good enough and
1:30:09 have reasoning ability enough and have
1:30:11 agentic
1:30:13 capabilities
1:30:15 enough that it will
1:30:18 just dynamically create a specialized
1:30:22 for you on the
1:30:24 Fly we looked at this last night in the
1:30:27 in the Google Gemini the Gemini Ultra
1:30:30 demo where it just dynamically in the
1:30:33 middle of a chat conversation it said oh
1:30:36 this answer is sophisticated enough that
1:30:38 rather than just answering them in text
1:30:40 I should create a computer interface for
1:30:43 them to interact with with images and
1:30:45 links and and it did all
1:30:51 that [ __ ] nuts isn't it I'm
1:30:54 envisioning a GPT operator connecting
1:30:56 other gpts yeah that's Rebel that's
1:30:58 exactly what it's going to be it's going
1:31:00 to you're going to have and and in fact
1:31:02 one of the people you should go follow
1:31:04 is David Shapiro so here here so if you
1:31:07 go to the AI salon by the way if you
1:31:09 haven't if you're if you're new here I
1:31:10 know we got a bunch of people in here go
1:31:12 to the salon. that's going to take you
1:31:15 to this link
1:31:17 tree and then click on the the top link
1:31:20 here is the AI Salon community
1:31:22 go
1:31:24 there um why has this guy never shown up
1:31:27 on my for you page which guy me guy I
1:31:30 don't know Riley Brown you're on the
1:31:32 wrong side of Tik
1:31:35 Tok that's good um oh was I GNA show
1:31:40 godam my brain is like swiss cheese
1:31:42 tonight what the hell is going on
1:31:46 um what was I going to show
1:31:50 here oh
1:31:52 go to uh so if you come to the salon so
1:31:55 by the way so what what is the salon if
1:31:58 you come to the AI Salon start with
1:32:01 welcome to the salon this will tell you
1:32:02 what we're about so um this is a
1:32:05 community that's just over a year old we
1:32:07 started this the week after chat GPT
1:32:09 came out I started it with a
1:32:11 professional photographer out of Boston
1:32:13 named Leah faston and we started this
1:32:16 because we knew people were going to
1:32:18 need to be around other people that were
1:32:21 figuring this AI [ __ ] out because nobody
1:32:24 knows what they're doing and we just we
1:32:25 just sense that that was what it was
1:32:27 going to be that's what this group is
1:32:29 please read who we are and what we're
1:32:31 about and read our values the values are
1:32:33 really really important curiosity
1:32:36 generosity exploration collaboration
1:32:40 inclusion
1:32:42 empathy
1:32:43 empathy people are
1:32:47 scared welcome them in okay everyone's
1:32:51 freaked out right now and it's they're
1:32:52 going to get more freakier out ouer okay
1:32:56 so when you come here um one of the
1:32:59 areas to go
1:33:03 is in the community section AI tools and
1:33:07 resources so I was talking before about
1:33:09 David
1:33:11 Shapiro so AI tools and resources this
1:33:14 is a list that I personally curate of
1:33:17 tools that are not a waste of your time
1:33:20 most of these have some sort of free
1:33:21 option even if they don't you can go
1:33:23 watch YouTube videos on them to
1:33:25 understand what they are if you want to
1:33:27 be AI literate this is a this list is a
1:33:30 good next two months of your life
1:33:33 okay just start going down rabbit holes
1:33:36 and just play just play I one of my most
1:33:38 recent videos is is you know
1:33:42 play apply like solve problems for other
1:33:47 people using Ai and share play apply
1:33:49 share that's what the whole AI salon's
1:33:51 all about about play apply share at the
1:33:54 very bottom of this list are four people
1:33:56 to watch if you're interested in this in
1:33:59 this agentic Behavior agents autonomous
1:34:02 agents um David Shapiro got a project I
1:34:05 don't know the the status of it recently
1:34:08 but when
1:34:10 um when the assistant API came out from
1:34:13 open AI he started a project to create
1:34:17 an a an agent an autonomous agent that
1:34:20 generates other autonomous agents and
1:34:23 manages them so he's actually got David
1:34:26 Shapiro's actually got an open- source
1:34:28 project to do exactly that so if you
1:34:31 want to peek in a real peak into the
1:34:35 future he's a dude to watch He's
1:34:38 philosophical he's neuros
1:34:41 spicy um he's [ __ ] Wicked smart he's
1:34:44 written five books on AGI artificial
1:34:46 general intelligence his other project
1:34:49 is an open-source cognitive framework
1:34:52 for
1:34:53 AGI so if you're Technical and geeky and
1:34:56 you're not following David Shapiro you
1:34:58 should
1:35:00 be thank you
1:35:03 Empower all right today I told my boss
1:35:06 some of our products were janky pieces
1:35:09 of [ __ ] he agreed we now have a new
1:35:14 subcat that's
1:35:16 awesome I got to get to bed good night
1:35:19 everyone good night sad hustle Mimi
1:35:21 thank you for coming
1:35:23 it takes me about 2 hours to fully
1:35:25 analyze one deal This thing did it in 2
1:35:29 seconds yeah mind blown so uh I I don't
1:35:32 know how to pronounce your name because
1:35:34 it's in in cilic but um let's call you
1:35:38 it begins with a Y I think oh wait can
1:35:44 I oh wait can I translate it no no
1:35:48 limits real estate hang on uh no uh uh
1:35:55 dang I guess I could oh I could
1:35:58 screenshot
1:36:00 it it's not it's not worth
1:36:06 it oh man um okay so this list is really
1:36:12 important the other people on this list
1:36:14 Ethan mullik you should follow Ethan
1:36:16 mullik uh Kyle you need to have Riley as
1:36:20 a guest r Brown DM me let's talk
1:36:25 absolutely um I don't know what you're
1:36:27 up to but but uh it sounds like I should
1:36:31 follow you and if if Danielle's saying I
1:36:33 should follow you we should we should
1:36:34 probably connect so DM me or I'll DM you
1:36:37 that's awesome uh and I'm glad you find
1:36:39 found the channel I do this um nightly
1:36:43 starting about 8:00 pm mountain time uh
1:36:46 for 2 to 3 hours a night I've been doing
1:36:48 it seven nights a week now for about 7
1:36:50 and 1/2 months something like that that
1:36:52 a while um and I'm doing it because here
1:36:57 let me flip this
1:36:59 around I'm doing it
1:37:04 because I was a I've been an
1:37:07 entrepreneur I'm
1:37:13 old you can make money
1:37:16 with hey Marge Marge hey hey you
1:37:20 watching you watching the wheel yeah hey
1:37:22 how do I know if the Tik tok's on what
1:37:27 what the the
1:37:29 lasagna yeah no I had some no I'm good
1:37:32 no I just want to know how do I know if
1:37:33 the Tik tok's on anyway I'm old that
1:37:36 happens
1:37:38 [Laughter]
1:37:41 right the reason I do these every night
1:37:45 is I was I've been an entrepreneur for a
1:37:48 while so I was I was a an entrepreneur
1:37:50 in the early days of the the worldwide
1:37:53 web and the the one thing I learned so
1:37:57 in '94 I founded a company called
1:37:59 agency.com which was one of the first
1:38:01 digital agencies onion Kyle is my
1:38:03 favorite part of the
1:38:06 evening so so what I what I learned in
1:38:11 in being at the at the kind of ground
1:38:13 floor of of the worldwide web business
1:38:16 in in New York City in the mid
1:38:19 90s was that
1:38:22 it's it's an
1:38:24 amazingly rare moment in history where
1:38:26 you don't get to repeat it like you
1:38:28 don't get to be at the beginning a
1:38:30 second time as obvious as that [ __ ]
1:38:34 sounds you don't get to be at the
1:38:36 beginning a second time and the
1:38:38 opportunity is amazing and being being
1:38:41 in the conversation at whatever level
1:38:45 this early is a
1:38:47 gift and so one of the reasons I do this
1:38:50 channel every night part of of it is to
1:38:52 demystify Ai and just get people to
1:38:54 [ __ ] play with it right just play
1:38:56 just play just play but the other reason
1:38:59 I do it is is to keep myself in the
1:39:03 conversation I'm the founder and CEO of
1:39:05 an 11 and a halfy old video technology
1:39:08 company like I got [ __ ] to do I don't
1:39:11 have to do this I'm choosing to do this
1:39:14 because I think it's really important
1:39:16 and I also know
1:39:19 that these days never exist again like
1:39:22 there's a there's going to be a point
1:39:24 probably 15 years out where this AI
1:39:27 shit's going to normalize and all of the
1:39:29 capitalistic [ __ ] will come back in
1:39:31 and it'll consolidate down to three
1:39:33 companies and some wacky open source
1:39:36 Island in
1:39:39 mova we'll have some [ __ ] AI farm
1:39:42 that everyone's trying to
1:39:47 bomb thank you EMP
1:39:49 power but we're not there we're not even
1:39:52 close to it right we're in the
1:39:53 primordial soup of this and so just
1:39:56 talking about the gpts tonight
1:40:01 like I don't even know how to talk about
1:40:03 them cuz they're so new and they're
1:40:07 like I could barely figure out what to
1:40:10 do with them when they were sort of
1:40:12 Standalone and then Sam Alman said
1:40:15 there's going to be a store and you
1:40:16 could sell them and then the reality
1:40:18 comes out and that all that monetization
1:40:21 talk went away and they're kind of these
1:40:22 janky ass weird things but now you can
1:40:25 embed them in convers like what does
1:40:28 that mean what are the implications of
1:40:29 that what's the future of that I don't
1:40:31 [ __ ] know no one
1:40:33 knows so
1:40:41 anyway thanks again for all your efforts
1:40:43 you're
1:40:45 welcome you're welcome welcome
1:40:49 welcome Kyle I don't know if you
1:40:53 OD Kyle I don't know if you understood
1:40:55 how big Riley Brown is oh I know Riley
1:40:57 Brown I know Riley Brown I've seen him
1:41:00 um yeah he's he's he's out
1:41:03 there he's out there that's awesome I
1:41:06 don't know if he's still here if you're
1:41:07 still here hey dude
1:41:11 welcome all right fantastic B tell him
1:41:15 what is
1:41:16 one you can make
1:41:20 money New York Times is doing their own
1:41:22 llm now despite suing open AI ironic
1:41:26 well yeah exactly I the more the more
1:41:28 ironic thing with the with the New York
1:41:30 Times thing is you
1:41:32 know they were in active negotiations
1:41:36 and you know they were offering them
1:41:39 some amount of money I don't think they
1:41:42 could offer them the hundred million
1:41:44 that Google offered them so Google cut a
1:41:46 deal with the New York Times for $100
1:41:49 million whether it's not it's AI related
1:41:52 it's just kind
1:41:55 of
1:41:59 timing that Google doesn't get
1:42:04 sued and AI thinking they're in
1:42:07 goodfaith negotiations with the New York
1:42:09 Times does get
1:42:11 sued you know how they found out the New
1:42:14 York Times was going to sue them they
1:42:17 got served to
1:42:18 papers while they were in active
1:42:20 negotiation
1:42:21 to pay them money so yeah it's just
1:42:25 business it's just business [ __ ]
1:42:28 being business
1:42:29 [ __ ] is that button in the merch
1:42:31 shop I want one you can make money with
1:42:35 uh this is a oneoff one of a kind I had
1:42:37 this is this is solid gold it's uh this
1:42:40 was Min from the Yukon um Parker from
1:42:43 Gold Rush actually smelted this for us
1:42:46 and then we had it
1:42:48 machined and then and then uh I had mark
1:42:50 roer who does the the stinky fart bomb
1:42:53 guy um he made the electronics for this
1:42:56 so this is this is this is a Priceless
1:43:01 artifact or it's a piece of Chinese [ __ ]
1:43:04 it it could be either one and you don't
1:43:06 really know but there's only one only
1:43:09 one exists right now I I do not actually
1:43:12 oh I do have a merch store but we just
1:43:13 have a merch store with Salon stuff on
1:43:16 it
1:43:18 um at some point I'll get my [ __ ]
1:43:20 together and and do that I think I think
1:43:22 that would be fun you can make money
1:43:24 with chat GPT button I think would be
1:43:25 fun a fun thing lots of poems in the
1:43:28 Irregulars Club okay let's go look at
1:43:29 the Irregulars see what y'all been doing
1:43:33 doing any Irregulars
1:43:36 Irregulars oh that's
1:43:40 beautiful exactly gp4 gp4 that actually
1:43:45 you know what Chandler that's or
1:43:48 Chandler I think that's what um
1:43:51 that's what working with the gpts feels
1:43:53 like right now right especially because
1:43:56 you can stick gpts inside a chat GPT
1:43:59 conversation but I don't think you can
1:44:01 make a GPT with other gpts in it and you
1:44:04 don't seem to be able to get to all the
1:44:05 gpts just the ones that you've searched
1:44:07 like it's weird right so it feels like
1:44:11 that one ringy dingy sorry let me let me
1:44:14 connect you hold while I connect
1:44:17 you Crystal Ball come find a secret very
1:44:20 nice that's nice
1:44:22 Joker Lama
1:44:25 thimble wow that's
1:44:27 cool fractal Kevin McAllister I like
1:44:34 it
1:44:36 tor is that a poem Oh yeah ah a blend of
1:44:40 terrible and horrible you say a word
1:44:42 that's both in a ghastly
1:44:45 display in a world where fears and
1:44:48 frights
1:44:49 combine t
1:44:51 table oh table Reigns its own Twisted
1:44:55 design Dark Skies oh that's
1:44:57 cool
1:44:59 nice and I like that it did I like that
1:45:02 it did uh like a darker animation style
1:45:04 but it's still kid-friendly that's
1:45:12 cool what's this one sarin Dippity
1:45:16 nice very cool Ruben Lopez what's the
1:45:19 word of the day fleeting rare ephemeral
1:45:22 like a whisper in the
1:45:24 air and again a very different style but
1:45:29 I mean that's just that I mean this is a
1:45:32 bit of a Kevin McAllister moment for me
1:45:34 right like I put in I put in that one
1:45:36 rule of I want the I want the images to
1:45:40 be illustrations from children's books
1:45:42 but you can pick any style so long as it
1:45:46 looks like it could work in a children's
1:45:47 book and it's
1:45:49 like you could use this GPT just to find
1:45:52 a
1:45:54 style well hell quite frankly not for
1:45:57 nothing feel free to do this by the
1:46:01 way why not do a kids book of a bunch of
1:46:05 ABC words you know a through
1:46:08 z interesting words and have it write a
1:46:11 poem a poem about the words and come up
1:46:13 with an image and just all these
1:46:14 different image styles that would be a
1:46:15 really cool kids
1:46:19 book
1:46:23 huh just
1:46:25 play That's it man don't take don't take
1:46:29 this AI stuff too seriously right now I
1:46:31 I think it's intimidating people I think
1:46:33 they're like oh we got to learn we got
1:46:35 to learn machine learning and we got to
1:46:36 learn science we
1:46:39 got no you don't you really
1:46:45 don't but you do have to be
1:46:49 curious you do you have to be
1:46:59 [Music]
1:47:04 curious all right fantastic Bob tell him
1:47:07 what is one all right what are we doing
1:47:09 time wise time time is of the essence
1:47:13 people time is of the
1:47:16 essence let's pull up I like that image
1:47:20 let's let leave that one up
1:47:22 here I think that image is like this is
1:47:25 what chat GPT feels like right now
1:47:29 doesn't it if you've used it it's like
1:47:31 it's this janky so actually this is a
1:47:34 really good metaphor you know people are
1:47:36 bitching about
1:47:38 um I'm using chat GPT and it's not quite
1:47:41 right and it's just it was probably like
1:47:43 this like sometimes when she would plug
1:47:46 the wire into a thing you know there
1:47:49 would be like some dust on it and the
1:47:51 connection would be really shitty oh
1:47:52 sometimes I can't even hear someone and
1:47:54 then sometimes it would be
1:47:57 great and then sometimes someone get
1:48:00 shocked and get knocked off their
1:48:02 chair well these things aren't
1:48:06 safe that's exactly
1:48:08 what this is exactly the stage of AI
1:48:11 we're in right now ai is like a car if
1:48:14 you know how to drive cool you don't
1:48:16 need to know how the engine works yeah
1:48:17 exactly
1:48:19 Chris and like you can that's that's
1:48:22 another good metaphor right you can use
1:48:24 a car for a lot of things you can drive
1:48:26 to the grocery store you can do donuts
1:48:29 in the parking lot you can use it to
1:48:32 pull you know equipment from one
1:48:35 location to another you can use it to
1:48:37 commute you can use it to you know go to
1:48:40 a concert with your friends right so you
1:48:41 can use it for all these
1:48:44 things and I think one of the things
1:48:48 I'll I'll tell you how how I came into
1:48:55 when I first saw what chat GPT was where
1:49:00 my mind immediately went was
1:49:04 Automation and
1:49:06 productivity and
1:49:12 efficiency and I am so not there right
1:49:17 now I've like I I sort of went through
1:49:21 that phase and I
1:49:23 think I think to a great degree you have
1:49:26 to go through that phase
1:49:31 because computers for all of our lives
1:49:34 have been productivity tools they they
1:49:37 they do some other things but the G in
1:49:41 GPT and the the Gen in geni
1:49:49 generative
1:49:51 it is so profoundly different
1:49:55 because it ain't just about productivity
1:49:58 it's generating stuff it's leveling up
1:50:02 human
1:50:04 beings it's giving people
1:50:08 skills that they have no right
1:50:11 having one of the things I hear a lot is
1:50:14 people feel
1:50:15 guilty how fast they're doing work how
1:50:18 good they're doing work how they're
1:50:20 making images that are amazing but
1:50:22 they're like well I did but I didn't do
1:50:24 anything I don't have any talent I you
1:50:26 know it's not really me it's just
1:50:35 the the the the guilt thing is a
1:50:38 fascinating one for me that people are
1:50:40 feeling
1:50:42 guilty that this did the work as fast as
1:50:45 it did why are you feel feeling guilty
1:50:48 well because
1:50:51 for 58 years of my life and however the
1:50:54 [ __ ] long you've been on the planet
1:50:56 we've told you get up and you go to work
1:50:58 and you you work works hard in my day we
1:51:03 didn't even have shoes we walked to the
1:51:05 school
1:51:10 and and all of a sudden Along Comes a
1:51:14 tool that goes
1:51:17 pring your work is done
1:51:22 uh I H I should H time is
1:51:28 money right exactly that phrase time is
1:51:33 money you know when that was created
1:51:39 right in the
1:51:41 factories of the late
1:51:45 1800s early 1900s time is money get on
1:51:49 the floor do the the
1:51:52 work we don't have enough men put the
1:51:54 kids in there time is
1:51:58 money go 247 three shifts eight hours
1:52:01 each time is
1:52:05 money
1:52:07 Generations generations of us have been
1:52:10 trained that time is money time is
1:52:14 value what
1:52:17 if it didn't take as long
1:52:20 what if you put in a little bit of
1:52:22 effort and got out a lot of
1:52:26 result I feel guilty about that why [ __ ]
1:52:33 it
1:52:36 we're so so it's like it's like the
1:52:39 productivity piece of it is staggeringly
1:52:43 powerful but for
1:52:45 me the profound thing is that thing
1:52:47 about well wait a
1:52:49 minute
1:52:51 you didn't have any drawing skills you
1:52:54 didn't have any writing skills to speak
1:52:58 of but you've been you're but you're
1:53:00 passionate about storytelling and now
1:53:04 you're um a graphic novel author or
1:53:07 you're a kids book
1:53:09 author
1:53:11 cool like what does that mean I don't
1:53:14 know but we're going to have a lot of
1:53:16 people in the world that have defined
1:53:19 thems eles in one way that all of a
1:53:22 sudden are being given skills in a
1:53:25 completely different Arena and a lot of
1:53:28 them are going to go oh you know what I
1:53:32 [ __ ] hated being this person I always
1:53:36 wanted to be one of these people you
1:53:38 know what I'm going to do [ __ ] this I'm
1:53:41 going to
1:53:43 play
1:53:46 that's there there's
1:53:49 a
1:53:51 it's not a bad thing it's like a really
1:53:53 exciting
1:53:55 thing it's really easy to talk about how
1:53:58 many people are going to lose their jobs
1:53:59 what if the robots kill us you know
1:54:01 those things lie they're stealing from
1:54:05 everyone
1:54:10 or my experience has been these things
1:54:14 might liberate us from the [ __ ] ass work
1:54:17 we've been forced to
1:54:19 do
1:54:21 I'm an entrepreneur so I got no one to
1:54:23 blame for myself if I'm doing [ __ ] ass
1:54:26 work but if you work for a
1:54:28 company and you have to make money you
1:54:30 have to make ends meet and you've got
1:54:32 these set of skills then you can do that
1:54:34 kind of job then that's what you
1:54:37 do well what if you had more skills than
1:54:39 that overnight instantly bang like that
1:54:43 well but these tools aren't really good
1:54:45 right now exactly they're going to be in
1:54:46 three
1:54:49 years
1:54:50 so don't you want that possibility of if
1:54:53 you're in that shitty
1:54:56 job the possibility that when these
1:54:59 tools get better you can go play in a
1:55:01 different
1:55:02 Arena that's why you play with AI right
1:55:07 now because we have no [ __ ] clue zero
1:55:10 Clues nobody knows Sam mman doesn't know
1:55:14 it's hanging on the
1:55:17 desk above samman's desk is nobody knows
1:55:20 what's going to
1:55:27 happen why should we feel guilty for
1:55:29 what we spent Decades of
1:55:31 effort wait for what we spent Decades of
1:55:34 effort energy to what AI chat GPT is
1:55:38 today I I don't know why we should feel
1:55:41 guilty or not feel guilty I hear it a
1:55:44 lot I every time I talk to someone
1:55:48 about I give them a compliment not every
1:55:51 time many times when I compliment
1:55:55 someone on the work that they're sharing
1:55:56 in the AI Salon I get back apologies
1:56:01 dismissive well I'm not really that I
1:56:03 don't I'm not really an expert I oh I
1:56:05 didn't spend a lot of time on that
1:56:07 there's a lot of apologies going on
1:56:08 right now yes but us gen xers we're left
1:56:11 on our own devices and know how to play
1:56:14 I hey man I'm telling you we revenge of
1:56:17 the Gen xers is the era that we're ENT
1:56:20 in I'm telling you gen xers are going to
1:56:23 [ __ ] kill it we're already killing it
1:56:25 with this stuff because we got to
1:56:27 experience the birth of the worldwide
1:56:29 web we got to experience computers for
1:56:32 the first time personal computers we got
1:56:34 to experience the birth of the worldwide
1:56:36 web and now we're getting to experience
1:56:41 this and now we got some [ __ ] skills
1:56:44 and we got some we got some
1:56:46 experience so we know how to aim this
1:56:49 [ __ ] in a bunch of different directions
1:56:52 we have so much deprogramming to go
1:56:53 through isn't it true Source Camp that's
1:56:56 what it is we've got deprogramming to go
1:56:59 through that thing about feeling guilty
1:57:02 about how quick it does the
1:57:05 work that's a rough one that's a
1:57:07 deprogramming problem time is money get
1:57:10 on the factory floor the good news is if
1:57:14 if there's a you know if there's a good
1:57:15 news from Co because
1:57:18 Co broke broke the you have to go to the
1:57:23 office agreement that we had
1:57:26 globally we just overnight decided yeah
1:57:29 we're not going to do that anymore and
1:57:31 now it's now people are having a tough
1:57:33 time getting people to go back because
1:57:34 they know well we can function without
1:57:36 going back so I'm only going to go back
1:57:39 if it's worth my time to do
1:57:42 it so there's already a [ __ ] in the
1:57:44 armor of the time is money EUR aagan the
1:57:47 machine kind of capitalism
1:57:50 but each of us individually has to
1:57:53 process
1:57:54 through do I really have talents and
1:57:56 skills or is it just the
1:57:58 machine but I've always been creative
1:58:01 and chat GPT is reopening my creative
1:58:03 wave not guilty for that beautiful
1:58:07 perfect it I I was on a call last
1:58:10 week and and one of the things I've been
1:58:13 saying is I'm more creative now than I
1:58:15 was in my 20s and then I think it was
1:58:17 Source Camp
1:58:18 said she's like her creative 5 to
1:58:22 8-year-old
1:58:23 self and I was like that's it it's not
1:58:27 I'm as creative as I was in my 20s it's
1:58:29 like I'm going back to my brain right
1:58:33 now is is is in this optimistic creative
1:58:36 place of like before the world broke me
1:58:40 right like you know how kids are just
1:58:43 infinite optimists and then [ __ ] happens
1:58:45 and then you know it slowly chips away
1:58:47 at the optimism and the vision and the
1:58:49 creat
1:58:51 ity AI totally it it totally returns us
1:58:56 to that Megan you're absolutely
1:58:58 right absolutely
1:59:01 right yeah we're just as efficient if
1:59:05 not more when working from home yeah
1:59:07 well now with AI we're going to be way
1:59:09 more [ __ ] efficient can Gen X now do
1:59:12 politics no because we don't give a [ __ ]
1:59:15 well I I I just I think I mean we can
1:59:18 but
1:59:20 it's such [ __ ] I I mean I would love
1:59:23 to have some gen xers that got in there
1:59:25 and I mean there's a couple of them like
1:59:26 you got you got you got some of the some
1:59:29 of the people that are in
1:59:31 there have some [ __ ]
1:59:34 attitude what's the best AI app to
1:59:37 download
1:59:39 um if you're only on a mobile
1:59:44 device you need to have chat
1:59:48 GPT the chat GPT app the official one
1:59:51 make sure you have the official one the
1:59:53 official chat GPT app is from the
1:59:55 company is called open
1:59:58 AI do not buy anything that says chat
2:00:02 GPT that's not from open AI they're all
2:00:05 scam apps all of
2:00:08 them I would
2:00:17 download Pi Pi Pi personal assistant
2:00:22 from
2:00:23 inflection I would
2:00:29 download Microsoft co-pilot just so you
2:00:32 have an option from chat GPT just to see
2:00:37 if Microsoft [ __ ] gets any better does
2:00:40 perplexity have an app I think they do
2:00:42 if perplexity has an app you should
2:00:43 download perplexity but all of these
2:00:46 sites have or all of these companies
2:00:49 have websit it so you can also just in
2:00:51 your browser you can go to all these
2:00:53 websites as well board dog Matt Walsh
2:00:56 literally just did a video on YouTube
2:00:57 about
2:00:59 this about
2:01:10 what
2:01:11 application oh wait do I have to
2:01:18 perplexity yeah perplexity has an app
2:01:21 you should get
2:01:23 perplexity I get Runway ml for
2:01:27 video okay no you know what you can you
2:01:30 can go download all that [ __ ] but what
2:01:32 you I'm assuming you also have a laptop
2:01:35 right so just go to here's my
2:01:38 recommendation I have a list it
2:01:42 exists
2:01:46 [Music]
2:01:48 uh
2:01:54 all right go to the AI

2:02:28 tool
2:02:29 recommendations here's chat GPT here's
2:02:33 four of the major llms large language
2:02:35 models here's four of the specialty ones
2:02:38 here's six or seven image creation tools
2:02:41 you should you should know about these
2:02:43 all all of these here are five different
2:02:46 video tools you should know about here's
2:02:50 four music and audio tools here's three
2:02:52 3D and
2:02:55 uh virtual world tools and then here's
2:02:59 people you should follow and then here's
2:03:00 directory future pda. this is Matt
2:03:03 Wolf's um directory of AI tool tools
2:03:06 last time I looked in that it was 5,000
2:03:08 I'm sure it's up to 7500 at this point
2:03:11 so but this list if you actually go play
2:03:15 with these I guarantee you every one of
2:03:17 these bullet points is a rabbit hole
2:03:19 that'll burn two or three of your days
2:03:21 of your life so just getting through
2:03:24 this Li list is two months oops Matt
2:03:27 wolf what what was he talking about
2:03:33 Danielle oh that's interesting Tracy
2:03:36 next live poll how many people have the
2:03:38 scam app actually we can do it right now
2:03:40 can someone can Brandon or Brandon or
2:03:43 someone can can you put up a poll that
2:03:45 says
2:03:48 um just two options
2:03:51 um have have you ever downloaded what
2:03:55 you thought was was chat
2:03:57 GPT and it wasn't and and got scammed or
2:04:01 not like it's like a yes or no kind of
2:04:03 thing I don't know if you can do that
2:04:04 kind of poll I assume you can posted the
2:04:06 link in Show and
2:04:17 Tell oh 2 on mobile apps you believe are
2:04:20 free okay cool perfect great there you
2:04:22 go there's some apps to
2:04:25 download oh that's
2:04:30 nice beautiful
2:04:35 beautiful I like
2:04:39 it how you see
2:04:44 me CJ CJ's got this this new um he's
2:04:49 doing a workshop and I'm telling you
2:04:51 anyone who gets in CJ's Workshop you're
2:04:54 going to learn some [ __ ] he is so good
2:04:55 with this
2:04:58 stuff really really good let's go look
2:05:01 at the Irregulars
2:05:03 Irregulars oh
2:05:07 nice you can make money with
2:05:17 ch what's the word
2:05:19 cerlic in the lands where Slavic tongues
2:05:22 do swell the cilc script Rings like a
2:05:25 bell that's
2:05:29 cool
2:05:30 nice nice one
2:05:36 [Music]
2:05:41 Joker Pol is up all right let's look at
2:05:44 the poll so we've
2:05:48 got
2:05:50 a minute left so have you downloaded an
2:05:53 unofficial chat GPT app I've got eight
2:05:56 votes so jump the poll is in the upper
2:05:58 corner over there it's the blue and
2:05:59 white thing on an angle click on that
2:06:03 and let's get as many votes in here as
2:06:05 we can have you downloaded an unofficial
2:06:07 app yes no or I plead the fifth that's
2:06:11 good
2:06:14 um and so we got 30 seconds left
2:06:20 all right
2:06:21 fantastic fantastic Bob tell him what
2:06:24 he's won oh you haven't won anything you
2:06:27 didn't
2:06:27 apply you can't win if you're sitting on
2:06:30 the sidelines that was from your GPT I
2:06:33 know it was cool I was trying to figure
2:06:34 out what word you used and it was
2:06:39 ceric friends are always Blown Away by
2:06:41 the poems that chat GPT can WR yeah some
2:06:45 might call it
2:06:46 so 34% so out of 32 out of 32 people 10
2:06:53 people a third a third of people right
2:06:56 now have downloaded a scam chat GPT app
2:07:01 first of all I'm sorry that that
2:07:02 happened to you and I'm [ __ ] pissed
2:07:05 off at Google and Apple for allowing
2:07:08 that [ __ ] to [ __ ] Fester on their app
2:07:11 stores Apple in particular like Google I
2:07:14 forgive for a bit cuz the Google plays
2:07:16 are [ __ ] freefor all but Apple claims
2:07:20 to approve all the [ __ ] that goes into
2:07:22 their
2:07:22 store and and it's like it's not hard to
2:07:25 find you type in chat GPT and like 17
2:07:28 apps come up that all have the same
2:07:30 [ __ ] logo and slightly different
2:07:35 names cuno I didn't just cuz Kyle warned
2:07:38 us not to well thank goodness
2:07:44 yay oh my God these these companies I
2:07:47 just how do people sleep at night I
2:07:49 don't get it man but whatever GPT Wars
2:07:53 Google and apple don't care yeah they
2:07:54 just want their 30% I'm totally with
2:07:57 you so is having students write original
2:08:00 poems now similar to having Millennials
2:08:02 learn cursive in the
2:08:05 90s
2:08:09 um no I I think
2:08:13 anything anything that we can teach
2:08:17 people where they they Master language
2:08:21 and they Master critical thinking is
2:08:24 going to be a superpower moving
2:08:29 forward I I I actually think the role of
2:08:32 the
2:08:34 humanities just got way more important
2:08:37 like so this is the ironic [ __ ] thing
2:08:40 isn't
2:08:40 it you know you you finally get you know
2:08:45 people talking about stem education and
2:08:47 you know we're going to science and math
2:08:49 and now unfortunately it means they
2:08:51 decimated the art piece of that it's not
2:08:54 steam it's stem
2:08:55 right science technology engineering and
2:08:58 whatever m is math
2:09:01 math
2:09:06 and and all of a
2:09:10 sudden the skill
2:09:14 that is going to be the most important
2:09:17 is your ability to
2:09:19 language and your ability to think
2:09:21 critically and your ability to think
2:09:25 broadly across
2:09:31 disciplines
2:09:33 so you know there's there's two Revenge
2:09:36 movies that that I'm playing right now
2:09:38 revenge of the Gen xers and revenge of
2:09:40 the liberal arts Majors I think that
2:09:42 one's coming too I think people that can
2:09:45 think horizontally are going to be very
2:09:48 valued in the next 3 to 5
2:09:51 years and I think I think certain
2:09:54 specialty disciplines are going to be
2:09:57 punished and not punished because the
2:10:00 people in it are bad punished because
2:10:02 the tools are going to get really good
2:10:04 at the specialty execution of St of of
2:10:07 you know tactical execution of specialty
2:10:11 [Applause]
2:10:15 [Music]
2:10:17 skills
2:10:28 who's that Silver
2:10:34 Fox
2:10:40 oh okay Silver Fox I'll wait for the
2:10:42 mods to test it out but this is cool so
2:10:45 Silver Fox put together a um
2:10:49 so so one of the things here let me let
2:10:51 me flip back one of the things that we
2:10:53 talk about in here are parlor tricks
2:10:56 want a demo chat
2:10:58 GPT um there's certain tricks you do
2:11:01 right but if you need to think on your
2:11:04 feet it's hard to come up with them fast
2:11:06 so it looks like she put together a GPT
2:11:08 that'll help you come up with here's
2:11:10 cool [ __ ] you can do with chat GPT and
2:11:12 and not have it be boring every time
2:11:14 which is very cool so I'll definitely
2:11:16 I'll let it get tested and then but then
2:11:17 we'll play with it because
2:11:19 that that's something that' be fun to
2:11:20 use in fact you know what be fun is I'll
2:11:23 pull that GPT into a
2:11:25 conversation and then do the parlor
2:11:27 tricks it comes up with inside
2:11:31 it apple is pretty dumb these days they
2:11:33 need to get humbled Apple's got
2:11:38 their I like
2:11:41 their I like what Vision Pro is going to
2:11:46 do um
2:11:50 but their products and software have
2:11:52 sucked for more than a decade now poetry
2:11:56 is a form of expression it's an art it
2:11:58 shouldn't go away it won't go away I
2:12:01 think poetry will poetry will go I think
2:12:04 authentic human expression is going to
2:12:06 go up in
2:12:10 value Silver Fox list demo on Saturday
2:12:13 by the way Ann Murphy okay so if you're
2:12:15 if you're
2:12:16 um if you join the AI Salon if you go
2:12:20 here you should check out the guilds you
2:12:22 should also check out an's um Ann
2:12:25 Murphy's got this thing called weekend
2:12:27 GPT jams you have to ask her to be in it
2:12:29 so be nice to her um but if you join
2:12:33 that
2:12:34 club
2:12:35 um every Saturday at noon Pacific she
2:12:40 does a 2hour jam session where she
2:12:43 brings in people to demo stuff two
2:12:46 Saturdays ago it was like just two hours
2:12:49 of building gpts last week it was um
2:12:53 Danielle and Peter Kaminsky were
2:12:55 teaching do and mid Journey it's a
2:12:59 really cool thing it's really cool thing
2:13:01 the AI
2:13:02 Salon is that a premium membership no no
2:13:07 the AI Salon is free
2:13:10 free it is not you can make
2:13:15 money in fact an is the sponsor for
2:13:18 January so Anna the salon infrastructure
2:13:23 for
2:13:24 January Sherry D has got February so if
2:13:28 you want to sponsor a month you can do
2:13:31 that but that's why this is free it's
2:13:33 free
2:13:35 because I thought it was
2:13:38 important that people have a community
2:13:41 where they can go hang out with people
2:13:43 that are curious about AI when
2:13:45 everyone's trying to figure it out hey
2:13:46 Sherry D thank you for sponsoring by the
2:13:49 way thank you too an
2:13:53 um like if you're the weirdo in your
2:13:56 group that's like hey have you guys
2:13:59 tried Ai and they're all like oh
2:14:02 Jesse we're so tired of you talking
2:14:05 about AI now could we just go to TGI
2:14:09 Fridays and get a
2:14:10 banger a banger tater
2:14:15 tot get the Banger tater tot vol Cano
2:14:18 and a couple of
2:14:21 margaritas no I'm going to go watch this
2:14:24 old man on Tik Tok talk about AI oh
2:14:28 Jesse why don't you live a
2:14:32 little so if you're
2:14:35 Jesse come come join
2:14:38 us cuz we'll hear we'll listen to your
2:14:41 stupid ideas about AI there's nobody
2:14:43 calling right now I know they're not
2:14:45 Siri could you stop
2:14:47 sh Siri she's so
2:14:59 jealous hey Siri go away I jailbreak my
2:15:02 CPAP machine with
2:15:06 AI it doesn't look like you have an Nam
2:15:08 CPAP machine you can search for it in
2:15:11 the App Store hey
2:15:14 Siri go
2:15:17 away
2:15:22 okay what did what did you do with your
2:15:25 CPAP machine is it now is does it now
2:15:28 let you make free calls to Europe that's
2:15:30 really funny apple is developing its own
2:15:33 AI system via acquiring companies to
2:15:35 improve
2:15:36 Siri um no they're developing they're
2:15:39 developing their own AI I mean they they
2:15:41 they are acquiring some AI companies
2:15:44 but Apple spent um 20
2:15:49 20 $24.1 billion in R&D in 2023 and the
2:15:54 bulk of that was toward generative Ai
2:15:57 and then Apple's also building so Apple
2:16:00 just announced or just released this
2:16:02 thing
2:16:03 called um
2:16:05 mlx so mlx came
2:16:09 out three weeks ago and it's a it's a
2:16:13 framework that you can you you
2:16:16 basically take your open- Source large
2:16:19 language model and
2:16:21 you put it in mlx format or whatever the
2:16:26 [ __ ] they call it and then using Apple
2:16:29 silicon it can use not only the gpus but
2:16:33 the CPUs it it basically shares memory
2:16:36 across all of the processing power of
2:16:39 your
2:16:40 device and so mlx is making
2:16:44 localized um AI super accessible so
2:16:48 Apple just apple is always last and they
2:16:53 usually come in and just blow [ __ ] up
2:16:56 because like the The Vision Pro things
2:16:59 they completely redefine the category
2:17:01 after meta spent however many
2:17:03 godforsaken billions of dollars on their
2:17:05 stupid [ __ ] goggles and their stupid
2:17:07 [ __ ] metaverse and they rename the
2:17:09 [ __ ] company for it and apple comes
2:17:11 along and just completely redefines the
2:17:13 category I I wouldn't be surprised if
2:17:15 they do that with
2:17:17 AI but yeah they're going to they're
2:17:20 going to be something when they come
2:17:21 when they come they're going to come
2:17:22 hard and it's it's and it's all going to
2:17:24 run it's all it's going to run faster
2:17:26 smoother have Slicker interface it's
2:17:28 going to be totally integrated with
2:17:30 their entire
2:17:31 ecosystem it's going to be able to take
2:17:33 action on your behalf they're they're
2:17:35 they're good with privacy already
2:17:37 they're going to maintain that like it's
2:17:39 Apple's going to do it right per my
2:17:41 custom GPT holiday today today is
2:17:43 Inspire your heart with art day
2:17:46 perfect perfect all right people listen
2:17:49 I got to get out of
2:17:51 here um thank you all uh Irregulars
2:17:57 subscribers it is impossible to put put
2:17:59 a pigeon in a
2:18:01 headlock but it's unproven so actually
2:18:04 it's Danielle Sweeney so this is going
2:18:06 to seem arbitrary and weird when I grew
2:18:09 up in
2:18:10 Pennsylvania um I I worked at a sporting
2:18:14 goods store and I I did a lot of hunting
2:18:16 and fishing and my Mentor was a guy who
2:18:19 was a world
2:18:21 champion um world champion
2:18:24 shooter and we used to um we used to
2:18:29 stock pheasants and Chuckers which are
2:18:31 like little pigeon quy looking things um
2:18:35 and Rich dudes would come down from New
2:18:36 York and they'd go hunting and so what
2:18:39 what you do with birds and I assume it
2:18:41 would work with a pigeon too is you
2:18:43 basically you tuck their head under
2:18:45 their wing and then you flip them upside
2:18:47 down and you rock come like this and
2:18:48 they just it knocks him out so I you
2:18:51 might not be able to break its neck but
2:18:53 you can certainly put him to
2:18:56 sleep so so that part's proven I've done
2:19:00 that I have put many a pheasant
2:19:04 asleep Siri hates my Southern draw
2:19:08 Danielle 30 minute goodbyes begin now
2:19:10 yes they do indeed indeed they do
2:19:14 another awesome night thank you Kyle oh
2:19:15 thank you so much I appreciate that a
2:19:17 human being
2:19:19 um can you headlock it though no
2:19:23 although if you got him asleep you can
2:19:25 do anything you want with them so
2:19:27 they're not getting out of
2:19:29 it
2:19:37 um all right now everyone needs sleep I
2:19:40 look forward to all this stuff all
2:19:45 right what do I need to do all right if
2:19:47 you you want to support the channel um
2:19:50 follow me so if you would go follow you
2:19:54 can also subscribe to the lives you can
2:19:56 also buy I think in that corner I've got
2:19:58 a
2:19:59 uh video series I can never remember the
2:20:02 name of what those called underhyped so
2:20:05 it's a series of 18 videos that talk
2:20:07 about why AI is a big deal I put it in a
2:20:09 historical context I show you how to use
2:20:12 it how to not get overwhelmed by it
2:20:14 things like that that's all in there
2:20:16 it's it's there's some good videos in
2:20:17 there
2:20:18 I got a new realtor with the last name
2:20:20 Blandon today it's a sign it's totally a
2:20:23 sign that's that's really good you
2:20:25 should tell Blandon you need whiskey in
2:20:28 his name sake or her name sake um I
2:20:31 bought my shirt last night awesome thank
2:20:33 you so much I appreciate that that
2:20:36 supports so so if you go to the
2:20:39 salon. um the link to the community is
2:20:43 there but there's also a merch store
2:20:44 there that merch store supports the the
2:20:47 salon that's why that's free
2:20:49 also I never tried it with an alligator
2:20:52 though is gp4 worth it yes in fact go
2:20:57 there and then go to the salon and then
2:21:00 go
2:21:01 to AI tools and
2:21:05 resources and this is a list of
2:21:07 recommended tools this is a a list that
2:21:09 I
2:21:10 maintain um chat GPT still the
2:21:16 best what do I put here includes
2:21:19 everything in 3.5 plus a multimodal
2:21:21 state-of-the-art tool worth the
2:21:24 investment worth the investment right
2:21:27 there on the page yes it's worth it I
2:21:29 think it's the best deal in software
2:21:31 right now if if you want to be AI
2:21:34 literate and you have not gotten
2:21:37 assuming you can afford 20 bucks a month
2:21:39 some people can't if you can and you
2:21:43 want to be AI
2:21:46 literate you you need to learn what chat
2:21:49 GPT 4 can do and that's that's why I
2:21:52 broke out all these tools and as they
2:21:54 add more I'm going to add more but like
2:21:57 like have you have you really played
2:21:59 around with and explored the fact that
2:22:00 chat gp4 is connected to the internet
2:22:03 what does that mean you can do have you
2:22:04 played with Advanced Data analysis and
2:22:06 code
2:22:08 interpreter have you explored GPT Vision
2:22:11 it can
2:22:11 see what upload a picture of yourself
2:22:14 have it describe it in detail and then
2:22:16 use Dolly 3 to to make that image based
2:22:19 on the
2:22:20 description create and share these
2:22:22 custom gpts and now I actually need to
2:22:24 update this to say you can now include
2:22:26 those gpts inside a chat GPT chat I
2:22:30 don't even know what that [ __ ] means
2:22:31 right now so yes you should you should
2:22:34 get chat GPT 4 yes it's worth it yes you
2:22:37 should get it is at the top of the list
2:22:39 for a
2:22:46 reason
2:22:49 investment in yourself correct all right
2:22:52 htic everybody I'm going to get out of
2:22:54 here the eyes are a little little
2:22:58 sleepy but I hope you had a good time
2:23:00 tonight um Clint Copperhead everyone a
2:23:03 regulars mods present Turtles llamas and
2:23:06 all the other animals the AI learning
2:23:08 lab
2:23:08 Zoo
2:23:13 uh all right who's here Debbie good to
2:23:15 see you Clint Copperhead Trace good to
2:23:18 see you tonight thank you Source Camp as
2:23:20 always Silver Fox thank you for the
2:23:24 turtles Brandon I got to leave wait
2:23:26 pigeon and headlock hold on my
2:23:29 plon Mr it obiwan good to see you um who
2:23:35 else we got in here tonight we got I saw
2:23:37 a lot of people in here um person with
2:23:40 the Russian name I love you being a part
2:23:42 of this you ask really good questions
2:23:45 wait why they only let you use 3 hours
2:23:48 or 30 messages oh
2:23:51 because because um asking chat GPT to
2:23:55 give you fancy answers is really
2:23:57 expensive so they've got to throttle it
2:23:59 right now um it will get cheaper and
2:24:03 those limitations will go away if you
2:24:05 end up buying GP chat GPT team it's got
2:24:10 higher rate limits and it's also got
2:24:12 faster processing
2:24:14 so I would imagine now that they've made
2:24:18 team available which is 30 bucks a month
2:24:20 if you go month to month versus 20 bucks
2:24:22 a month I would imagine that the $20
2:24:26 chat GPT is probably going to suffer in
2:24:29 terms of rate limits it's probably going
2:24:31 to get shittier cuz they're going to
2:24:34 drive people to the 30 Buck a month
2:24:35 instead of the page for buying hype
2:24:39 videos I can't seem to buy it
2:24:42 if EU
2:24:45 region no
2:24:51 um I don't even know how I put it
2:24:54 together because it's it's like it's
2:24:55 like an inside Tik Tock thing that's
2:24:57 weird sorry Rea I I don't know
2:25:02 um I don't I don't I don't actually have
2:25:04 a good answer for you on that sorry
2:25:06 about that I I had not thought about

2:25:44 ticktock might suck I'm like all right
2:25:46 well
2:25:48 that's life in a big
2:25:50 city how's the list of volunteers um
2:25:53 we've
2:25:54 got I think we got eight volunteers so
2:25:57 we got seven people that said they
2:25:59 primarily wanted to do the um the
2:26:02 city the city uh the hosting the local
2:26:07 AI Salon thing so it's getting there and
2:26:10 it's good we want to I don't want that
2:26:12 to grow too fast where we can't manage
2:26:14 it but so I think we're in good shape
2:26:16 but thank you for asking all right
