Description
I hosted an energetic live session on my TikTok channel AI Learning Lab on October 24, 2023 where I discussed how AI is advancing faster than anyone expected. Just one year after ChatGPT launched, these generative AI tools have exploded in capability and adoption. I walked through the top tools and players shaping the future of AI right now. This rapid pace of change is thrilling, but also raises critical issues around bias, ethics, and the future of work that I examined. Discover the exhilarating new world of AI in 2023 with me in this wide-ranging discussion. Hashtags: #ai #chatgpt #future #tech

0:35 wow hey hey 0:37 hey Tobias what's happening Sher bear 0:41 what's 0:43 shaking Be not Afraid hello hello Dr 0:48 J ah thank you for the hearty heart I'm 0:51 stiff I've had a long day I started out 0:53 at 7: a.m. this 0:55 morning although 7: a.m. is this morning 0:58 that's one of my pet peeves 7 amm this 1:00 morning is 1:02 redundant we don't need to do 1:05 that we just don't need to do that 1:08 what's happening what's happening what's 1:10 happening what's happening welcome 1:12 welcome 1:14 everybody looks like we got some folks 1:16 piling 1:17 in I made uh made another one of those 1:20 timer 1:21 thingies it's like it's like the new and 1:24 exciting trick of the 1:27 [Music] 1:28 day all right 1:31 let's see Ted this just 1:35 in perplexity just raised a funding 1:38 round of five oh at a 500 million 1:41 valuation post 1:44 money yeah it's not bad that that's not 1:48 that's not crazy in this in this uh in 1:50 this here 1:54 world oh man all right so welcome 1:59 everybody this is the I learning lab my 2:00 name is Kyle Shannon uh we talk about 2:02 all things AI in here so uh generative 2:05 AI post chat GPT kind of like what the 2:08 hell is going on what is all this stuff 2:11 and so what we'll do is I'll uh I'll 2:15 show you a bunch of places to start and 2:18 if you're if you're brand new to AI if 2:20 you really haven't tried this at 2:22 all I'm going to give you just one just 2:26 one to start where to 2:28 start so so where to start is right 2:33 there chat. open.com chat GPT all 2:38 right just go there it doesn't look like 2:41 you have Siri Siri Siri's bad Siri go 2:49 away Siri gets so jealous she really 2:52 wants to be a part of the part of the 2:55 live she really does in the worst way 2:57 but here's the deal Siri if you sucked 2:59 less you'd be on this live more I would 3:02 show you off to all of the 3:05 world I I show your arch nemesis Bing 3:08 off to the world and I make fun of her 3:10 she doesn't like that 3:14 either um anyway go 3:17 there and just start playing with it 3:19 just start have it write you a country 3:21 song have it write you a poem do things 3:23 like that and then what this Channel's 3:25 about is just pop comments uh pop any 3:28 questions you have about AI or or things 3:31 you want to see in the comments below 3:33 I'll do my best to demo stuff to answer 3:35 questions to wax philosophic about the 3:37 future of work or whatever it might be 3:39 address whether or not I have any 3:41 qualifications to be here uh the spoiler 3:45 alert the answer is 3:50 no ah it's comedy we're having comedy 3:56 tonight yeah yeah all right right let's 4:00 see Be not Afraid oh nice llama Turtle 4:03 Hedgehog llama Turtle Hedgehog I like it 4:07 you're getting very uh yall are getting 4:08 very creative with your with your are 4:11 those emojis they're emojis 4:14 right that sucks being old a a that cute 4:18 look at the elderly teaching each other 4:19 how to use the tick 4:26 tock this dude that's nice this is the 4:30 rust Factor show this dude looks like a 4:33 mix between Tom Hanks and Tom Arnold I 4:36 haven't gotten the Tom the Tom Hanks Tom 4:39 Arnold mixture but I've gotten the rosie 4:41 odonnell Tom Arnold mixture and I've 4:43 gotten fat Alec Baldwin I've gotten 4:46 occasionally A Philip Seymour Hoffman 4:48 and depending on how my hair's doing 4:50 occasionally a Jack 4:52 Nicholson but Tom Hanks and Tom Arnold 4:55 that's pretty good that's pretty 4:58 solid to it's great Salon it was a bit 5:01 of a [ __ ] show at the beginning wasn't 5:02 it we we kind of messed it up at the 5:04 beginning love your countdown vids oh 5:06 thank you very much dragonfly Alchemy 5:08 appreciate that yeah those things seemed 5:11 like they were a little gimmicky to me 5:12 but people seem to appreciate them so 5:14 I'll keep doing them I haven't made 5:16 videos in the channel for a while I've 5:18 kind of like this Channel's been become 5:20 more about the lives than about my my 5:21 videos I feel like I got to get back to 5:23 the video making at some point but we'll 5:25 see we'll get there we'll get there all 5:29 righty m mhm mhm hello Kyle and lobsters 5:34 I think this is going to be a short one 5:35 tonight I'm a little I'm a little 5:38 um crispy I'm a crispy Critter yeah yeah 5:45 which eyes is best at giving legal 5:46 advice um I think all of these uh large 5:51 language 5:53 models 5:57 will well they'll all give you Le legal 6:00 advice the question is should you trust 6:03 that legal advice what I would say is 6:06 this because these large language models 6:09 are prone to things you know what they 6:11 call hallucinations where they just will 6:13 lie I like to call it mansplaining as a 6:16 service 6:18 um you know do not take Financial advice 6:22 from these things do not take legal 6:24 advice do not take medical advice from 6:26 these things now that said if you want 6:29 to understand a legal contract if you 6:31 want to understand um you know uh what 6:35 you're dealing with with a medical 6:37 condition as a as a learning thing I 6:39 think I think they can all be quite 6:41 valuable um chat GPT 4 is by far the 6:45 most sophisticated to these things um 6:48 and particularly if you give it a lot of 6:49 context like you tell it that you want 6:52 it to act like a legal expert that 6:54 specializes in your kind of law that 6:56 you're talking 6:57 about you could probably get some good 7:00 input um I would absolutely 1,000 7:03 million per verify whatever you learn 7:06 with a lawyer right so don't just trust 7:09 it um the site that I just mentioned 7:13 before that just uh raised money at a 7:15 $500 million valuation perplexity doai 7:19 um they're an interesting kind of search 7:21 engines that that uses a lot of um 7:25 citations of of the source material so 7:28 it'll source and give you things it's 7:30 not really a large language model per se 7:32 kind of like these other things are um 7:34 but it's good at giving you those things 7:36 back there's a site called do not 7:40 pay.com I think it's wait hang on let me 7:43 confirm that before I run you down that 7:45 rabbit hole 7:47 doot pay.com is that right yeah so do 7:52 not pay.com is kind of a virtual lawyer 7:55 but it's a virtual lawyer for for like 7:57 traffic tickets and you know uh small 8:00 claims thing and like if you get rooc 8:02 calls you can sue the rooc call company 8:04 for, 1500 bucks per call and like some 8:07 people are doing that where they're just 8:08 having this thing do it so it's not 8:10 really legal advice but it can do some 8:13 legal [ __ ] for you so that's the only 8:15 one I know about and then there are 8:17 probably some specialized um there are 8:19 probably some specialized legal 8:23 specific large language models where am 8:26 I going 8:28 here okay 8:30 down 8:32 [Music] 8:36 here all right so that URL futur 8:40 pedia.com 9:01 um and not because the companies that 9:03 made them are bad it's just that we're 9:06 very very early in whatever this 9:09 industry is very early like a month from 9:15 now will be the oneyear anniversary of 9:17 chat GPT right so this is this is like 9:20 hot off depresses kind of 9:24 Technology machine learning and ai's 9:26 been around for decades but this let's 9:29 let's call it popular access to this 9:32 machine learning power is is uh is new 9:37 it's really new and so like all the 9:40 legal stuff you're talking about there 9:41 there very well may be AI powered legal 9:45 sites that they've been developing for a 9:47 decade that are really trustworthy um 9:49 but if you just want to ask chat gbt for 9:51 legal 9:54 advice educate yourself with it just be 9:56 really careful with it all 9:58 right fantastic Bob Bob tell him what 10:02 he's won well I'll tell you what you 10:04 what you won Bob is uh you want to walk 10:06 down a a a little path here in woods all 10:10 right so let's go through these get 10:12 ready to do do some screenshotting so I 10:15 put together Amelio's wife am I late oh 10:17 you're always late but I'm late I was an 10:19 hour late tonight although that was 10:21 scheduled I we had the AI Salon 10:23 tonight and uh and uh 10:28 actually mark from in here from last 10:31 night um I was talking about privacy and 10:35 open- Source large language models and 10:37 he said oh I um I just I just installed 10:42 a version of llama 7B on a Raspberry Pi 10:46 effectively and I was like whoa I said 10:49 can you go to the Discord and share 10:51 share what you did there and he did and 10:53 then I said hey would you be willing to 10:55 come to the AI Salon tonight and show us 10:57 what you've built and he did it was 10:59 really remarkable so I don't know if 11:01 you're in here Marcus but if you 11:06 are I got a call I think I need to take 11:08 let me just take it I'll be right 11:17 back 11:28 hello 11:46 that's pretty 11:47 good okay all right so let's go through 11:50 these so so what I'm going to show you 11:52 here is kind of my my sort of hand 11:54 curated list of stuff I think it's worth 11:56 paying attention to so these are the top 11:58 four chat gpts the best but they all 12:00 have they all have interesting stuff 12:02 about them um this is what I like to 12:05 call the Kids Table um so piie is really 12:08 interesting if you get their IOS app you 12:10 can talk to it so it's like chat GPT you 12:13 can have a conversation with fascinating 12:16 glimpse into the future perplexity llama 12:20 2 there's all sorts of cool stuff you 12:21 can do with the open source large 12:23 language models PO is really interesting 12:25 so go check those 12:27 out um image creation image generation 12:30 Dolly 3 right now is my little darling 12:33 so the yellow ones on these on these 12:35 screens are the ones that I'm kind of 12:37 most enamored of of these four um it 12:41 used to be mid Journey for a long time 12:43 but mid journey is you have to make 12:45 images on Discord 12:47 although mid Journey today launched 12:50 beta. mid journey.com which is a 12:52 redesigned interface for the images 12:56 you've 12:57 created um and then there's a sort of 12:59 grade out image generation bar at the 13:02 top of the page so I have a feeling mid 13:04 journey is about to become a website and 13:08 if mid Journey becomes a website and 13:10 it's as easy to use as you know Dolly 3 13:13 or uh ideogram then that's probably 13:17 going to get the little yellow badge um 13:19 so that's really good uh Leonardo's 13:21 really good the Adobe products are 13:23 really good adobe's really leaning into 13:25 this stuff they're doing it in a in an 13:27 ethical and resp responsible and sort of 13:30 corporate friendly way which is really 13:32 interesting um here's your video 13:34 creation tools Runway Moon Valley and 13:37 pabs are all kind of the same tool hey 13:39 sure I understand 13:42 Siri um hay Jen and D- ID are kind of 13:45 the same kind of tool but haen if you go 13:47 to labs. haen it does video translation 13:51 that is 13:52 remarkable and then Visa is kind of an 13:55 interesting like video generator that 13:57 that assembles videos using stock video 14:00 but you just give it a topic and it 14:02 writes a script it narrates it it puts 14:04 back not great but 14:07 interesting 14:09 um then these are four people I think 14:12 are worth following Ethan mullock is Big 14:16 genius David Shapiro is giant brain 14:19 genius Paul rater really really smart 14:23 guy in the marketing space and then 14:24 Rachel Woods here on Tik Tok at the AI 14:27 exchange um just just just again good 14:30 smart practical stuff um those are the 14:33 directories futurepedia DOI and there's 14:35 an AI for that and then um on the music 14:39 and audio side I'm still getting my head 14:41 around this this world I don't spend a 14:43 lot of time here but 11 Labs um they're 14:47 the they're the translation tool that 14:49 sits underneath haen by the way and then 14:52 refusion and soundra make 14:54 images or make music refusion makes 14:58 music out of images sound draw is kind 15:01 of like that visa thing where it it 15:03 assembles Loops 15:05 together and then in the world of 3D 15:08 worlds and objects blockade Labs so 15:10 Skybox blad labs.com and wonder Dynamics 15:14 um are both really interesting 15:16 technologies that are kind of glimpses 15:18 into the future Wonder Dynamics you can 15:20 replace a human in a scene or multiple 15:22 humans with robots they made the robots 15:26 and then you basically just pick the 15:27 human in the scene and after a couple of 15:29 hours of processing it replaces the 15:32 human with a robot it's pretty insane so 15:35 like take a video of yourself walking 15:38 down a street and then you can have a 15:40 robot walking down a street so that 15:42 would be an 15:43 interesting an interesting movie Project 15:46 to use something like Wonder Dynamics to 15:48 just go make a movie why 15:50 not um and then what else do I have here 15:54 um the AI Salon we just had one tonight 15:56 so if you go to the salon. there's a 15:58 link to the the Meetup so you can find 16:00 out about when we have those we have 16:01 them every other week tonight was the 16:04 the one this week so we'll have one two 16:06 weeks out from now and then um there's 16:08 also a link to the Discord Community 16:11 which is I look at it off to my left 16:13 left here so you can ask questions you 16:15 can make mid Journey images there's all 16:17 sorts of cool stuff you can do there um 16:18 Story vines my company this tiny url.com 16:22 Kyle's AI tools that's a spreadsheet 16:25 that one of 16:26 the Irregulars in this Channel made and 16:31 no I didn't misspeak yes they're called 16:33 the 16:37 Irregulars and uh every time I mention a 16:40 tool or a person he's popping it in a 16:42 Google spreadsheet and that's what that 16:44 is and then that's our YouTube channel 16:46 where I put uh whatever they're called 16:49 uh recordings of these lives um so 16:53 that's all that stuff all right so that 16:55 should get you started that's more than 16:56 enough that's like like just chaty GPT 16:59 alone like you could spend a decade 17:01 trying to figure out what you can do 17:02 with that thing much less all of these 17:04 but those are all the kind of important 17:06 ones I think are worth paying attention 17:08 to right now um I do change these out I 17:11 just redid all this list um two days ago 17:14 or yesterday so this is this is hot off 17:18 DE presses hot off DE 17:20 presses um hey Kyle today I learned the 17:22 music AI stuff yeah I know it's it's 17:25 there's a lot there's a lot um 17:29 Sherry D head spin I know there's a lot 17:32 there's a lot 17:33 listen if you if you don't um if you 17:38 only do one thing like if if this stuff 17:40 is completely overwhelming to you just 17:43 play with chat GPT don't play with 17:45 anything else don't worry about having 17:48 to run down these rabbit holes because 17:50 there are an infinite number of them and 17:52 every one of these 17:54 tools are are essentially some variation 17:57 on one of the other one a lot of of them 17:59 are are that oh thank you very much be 18:01 not afraid I appreciate 18:03 that um so if you're feeling overwhelmed 18:07 just just play like don't feel like you 18:09 got to work don't feel like you got to 18:11 learn don't feel like you got to do 18:14 important [ __ ] don't feel like you got 18:16 to learn 18:18 technology just 18:20 play just make poems make kids stories 18:24 make steo thank you very much I 18:26 appreciate that be Not Afraid thank you 18:27 so much very generous 18:29 it helps makes a difference um oh very 18:33 nice Ron thank you very much that was so 18:36 festive Los 18:37 [Laughter] 18:41 regularis 18:43 um just play just play oh thank you very 18:48 much why because these tools are 18:54 changing about every 3 18:57 months anything that you learn today 19:01 will kind of be irrelevant because a new 19:03 tool is going to come along that's going 19:05 to do the thing that here's what happens 19:07 you start playing with these tools and 19:09 you're like oh they're really exciting 19:10 they're really great and then you're 19:11 like oh but they're not perfect they're 19:13 really bad and then you get into this 19:15 zone of like okay I figured out how to 19:17 do it if I write it this way then it 19:18 does this and it does that and I can 19:20 make it predictable and then three 19:22 months later they change [ __ ] and 19:23 everything breaks and everything's 19:26 different and everything's new just 19:27 signed up for chat pt4 plus uh oh thank 19:31 you very much Drew I appreciate that uh 19:33 wait oh Ricky Ticky Ricky Ticky Tabby or 19:36 Ricky Ticky Fabby 10 out of 10 on the 19:38 name I like it it's it's a tongue 19:40 twister and it's it's solid um I think 19:44 that for me chat GPT plus the 20 bucks a 19:47 month for chat GPT right now is is the 19:49 best deal going in any 19:52 software I didn't used to be like that I 19:55 I used to be like well you could do the 19:56 20 bucks maybe I'd give the 20 20 bucks 19:59 here and give the 20 bucks there now 20:00 right 20:01 now with what open AI just released um 20:06 that 20 bucks a month is a steal it's 20:09 it's it's just a great deal it's a great 20:11 deal um and I can I'm happy to sort of 20:14 pop open um chat GPT and play and show 20:17 you some of that stuff so if anyone has 20:19 any specific questions I'm happy to 20:21 happy to dig 20:25 in Kyle's number fan you've been to 20:27 these before how would you describe his 20:29 nightly agenda oh please chat ADD 20:34 baby 20:36 [Laughter] 20:37 agenda I tried to have an agenda tonight 20:40 at the salon and boy that was a mess I 20:43 didn't quite have an enough of an agenda 20:45 there this is just total chaos Chad add 20:49 the AI learning lab this is just chaos 20:51 on a 20:52 stick there there's there's an image for 20:54 you guys to make Chaos on a 20:56 stick AI learning lab Chaos on a 21:00 stick yeah if you're 21:03 expecting if you're expecting a well 21:05 organized manual for AI here this ain't 21:08 the channel for you if you want to have 21:10 a little fun and you're neuroatypical 21:12 like most of us are and you got add and 21:15 and you can tolerate the sound of my 21:17 voice then [ __ ] hang out we'll have 21:19 some 21:21 fun and you can make money 21:27 with 21:35 oh Ricky Ticky Fabby you told me to get 21:37 a name last night and you did and it's 21:41 awesome see you see yes see it's just 21:46 that easy Ricky Ticky Fabby last night 21:49 had had the the uh the memorable name 21:53 user 6492 68 3742 682 6422 seven one and 22:01 I said come on dude or dudette and so 22:04 now Ricky Ticky Fabby got an awesome 22:07 name have you noticed that Dolly 3 does 22:09 not create photo realistic images as 22:11 well as Med mid Journey absolutely so 22:18 um so these my top two um for image 22:23 generation right now are Dolly 3 and mid 22:27 Journey 22:29 here's the big differences if you want 22:30 art if you want photo realism if you 22:33 want art if you 22:36 want a more sophisticated image it's mid 22:39 journey is there something else I can 22:41 help with 22:44 Siri she's she's so pushy um Mid 22:50 Journey if you don't feel like learning 22:53 Discord you don't feel like learning 22:54 command 22:56 line interface to make it images if you 22:59 don't feel like getting frustrated that 23:01 mid Journey can't make text at all if 23:04 you get frustrated that when you try to 23:06 put three very distinct objects in a 23:08 mid-journey image it Blends them all 23:10 together into one weird thing then you 23:13 want Dolly 3 so Dolly 3's got really 23:16 good prompt coherence you can say to 23:18 Dolly 3 I I've done a couple of these 23:20 examples you can say to Dolly 3 make me 23:23 a uh like a a room with a 100 objects in 23:26 it but I want these 25 specific items in 23:29 it and it will create an image with 23:30 those 25 specific items in it it does 23:33 text you can say put in this text now is 23:37 it perfect no the the um the the it it 23:41 it gets it it does not spell well like 23:44 it screws up the spelling all the time 23:46 but it does pretty decent typography and 23:48 you can get it to do you know fully you 23:50 know fully correct words like all of 23:53 these 23:55 images are done with 23:57 Del 24:00 so see how they all have nice 24:02 text that one's not done with Dolly but 24:05 well probably the underlying image 24:07 was um so all that sort of stuff like 24:11 that one's really cool look at that AI 24:12 learning Labs 24:14 records so that was done in Dolly try 24:17 doing this in mid Journey you can't but 24:19 if you want it to look like a 24:21 photographic 45 on an old record player 24:25 then that's mid journey is making an AI 24:28 lab drinking oh I'm making an AI lab 24:32 drinking bingo game and Siri chimes in 24:34 as one of the 24:38 squares [ __ ] 24:41 Siri so so Siri chiming in should be one 24:45 of them and then and then um Sydney 24:48 hanging up on me in when I when I demo 24:50 Bing should be one that's really 24:55 funny oh man that's good I like it cuno 24:59 um any idea if Apple's new Siri will 25:01 have any unique features uh well if 25:05 Apple doesn't make Siri not suck then 25:09 what are they spending their money on 25:11 apparently they spent 22.4 billion in 25:14 R&D in 2023 so far so they're spending a 25:18 lot of [ __ ] money and apparently 25:20 they're spending a lot of that on 25:21 generative 25:22 AI um they have 25:26 a meeting 25:29 not a meeting what do they call it an 25:30 event oh thank you very much Max 25:33 Maro they have an 25:35 event um coming up oh thank you so much 25:39 that's really generous I appreciate that 25:42 um October 30th at 5:00 p.m. Monday 25:48 October 30th at 5:00 p.m. an Apple 25:52 event Apple events are almost always on 25:55 Tuesdays they're almost always in the 25:56 morning they almost always have a lot of 25:59 fanfare the poster for it is like a dark 26:02 black apple and a dark black 26:04 background so I don't know if it's some 26:06 weird 26:08 ass um Halloween thing but I doubt 26:12 it so it's possible that they announc 26:16 some AI thing on on next 26:19 Monday but I've also heard from there's 26:22 some like apple rumor guys that are 26:25 basically saying you're not going to see 26:27 anything with AI from Apple until the 26:30 end of 26:31 2024 that feels more right to me but 26:34 we'll see we'll see what goes on Monday 26:36 it would be nice if they if they 26:39 announced a what if Siri didn't suck 26:41 version of 26:42 [Laughter] 26:45 Siri um you can now create prompts that 26:48 you use over and over with new data fed 26:50 into it you can actually do that inside 26:53 uh inside chat GPT there's a way you can 26:55 prompt to do that what was it a specific 26:57 tool so both Bing chat and chat gp4 use 27:00 Dolly wait say that again show and tell 27:03 oh show and tell hang on let me go look 27:05 at the show and 27:09 tell so the Irregulars the people that 27:12 hang out here regularly they go into the 27:14 show and tell channel the AI Salon oh 27:15 these are really 27:18 [Music] 27:20 good wow there's so many oh there's so 27:23 many cuz we had a salon today oh Chaos 27:25 on a 27:27 stick 27:29 look AI learning lab Chaos on a stick oh 27:34 yeah oh wait so both Bing chat and chat 27:37 GPT for use dolly3 for generating images 27:40 from prompts that's correct they're both 27:42 using uh Dolly 3 27:47 but I find that I get better results in 27:50 chat GPT in in open AI chat GPT with 27:53 Dolly than I do from 27:55 Bing but I also noticed that 27:59 Bing chat which is sitting on top of gp4 28:02 is not as good as open a eyes chat GPT I 28:07 think I think chat GPT just does it 28:09 better so Chaos on a stick 28:13 baby what's your agenda for tonight Mr 28:16 Shannon there's your 28:18 agenda you're going to go on ahead and 28:20 pick the red wire and then I'll talk 28:21 about the white wire and then someone 28:24 actually is actually interested in the 28:26 blue wire 28:28 and uh what actually ends up being 28:30 talked about in the end is the hair 28:33 ball beautiful love it oh I love I like 28:37 this one even more oh did you ask for 28:39 specific objects in 28:42 there that's super 28:44 cool look how cool look how cool look 28:48 dice dice there's dice in there the the 28:53 dots on the dice are not 28:56 right oh these tools are so janky 28:59 they're so 29:00 janky 29:03 um but yeah so here's the deal Dolly 3 29:07 in Bing is free so if you don't want to 29:09 pay the 20 bucks to open AI I think it's 29:11 the deal of the century but if you're 29:13 like I can't afford another 20 Buck a 29:15 month subscription then don't do it you 29:17 can do Dolly 3 images in Bing chat so 29:20 here I'll go show you I will go show 29:24 you I'll show you kind of the difference 29:30 [Music] 29:35 so so if you just go to Old regular 29:38 bing.com and then you click on the chat 29:40 button this is kind of chat 29:43 GPT but it's Microsoft's version of chat 29:46 GPT and they give you some nice things 29:48 it's connected to the internet they give 29:50 you this idea of you can be more 29:51 creative more balanced or more precise 29:54 right if you know someone was asking 29:55 about which of these things is good at 29:57 loss stuff if you wanted to research law 29:59 stuff put it in more precise mode if you 30:01 want to write a marketing campaign put 30:04 it in more creative 30:05 mode um and then within here you can 30:13 say oh right I can't do that here hang 30:16 on they disabled 30:21 that create an image 30:25 of chaos on a stick 30:28 and label it Chaos on a 30:34 stick all right we'll see we'll see what 30:38 we'll see what this 30:43 does I'll try to create that thank 30:48 you why is it 30:54 talking they get this is a new image 30:56 they're they're upgrad some of their 30:59 stuff there's Chaos on a stick there you 31:01 go Chaos on a stick but it's all right 31:04 but 31:06 notice it can do text that's Dolly 31:12 3 that's a cool little flowchart of the 31:16 chaos chaos on a stick but it's all 31:21 right but it's all right but it's all 31:26 right 31:28 um you can also if you go to 31:31 bing.com create that just takes you into 31:34 like a more traditional image generation 31:39 tool so you just you know type in what 31:43 you 31:44 want 31:50 um make me an image 31:55 of a penguin 32:00 untangling a hairball on a 32:02 stick and over the Penguin's head are 32:06 the words Chaos on a 32:11 stick why does he say such dumb 32:14 things being within Skype is 32:18 free AI chat being within Skype is free 32:22 AI chat oh 32:24 interesting oh that's 32:26 cool 32:28 very nice so there's your penguin 32:30 untangling a 32:33 hairball I still I still find it 32:37 absolute Insanity that you can just ask 32:39 for something as random as a penguin a 32:42 hairball a stick and then [ __ ] 20 32:46 seconds later here's some version of 32:49 that like his hair his head stuck in the 32:52 hair 32:55 ball oh super Chaos on a stick images 32:58 they really are they're really 33:01 good o Ted looks at life that's 33:04 beautiful I don't know if that's chaos 33:06 on a stick but that sure is 33:08 pretty look how pretty that is that's 33:12 beautiful that's dang pretty that dang 33:14 pretty that dang pretty I like it I like 33:17 it a lot all right he called for a woman 33:19 dressing stuff on a 33:21 stick huh all right I use Skype app to 33:25 make comics in bing it's like a long 33:28 chat of comics oh that's really cool oh 33:31 so okay so you're having a conversation 33:33 with Skype and then you can have it make 33:35 images you can do that also the new chat 33:39 GPT hang 33:41 on the new chat GPT 33:45 app so if I do new chat so the new chat 33:50 GPT 33:52 app if you go to chat gp4 you can put it 33:55 in Dolly mode and that's that's what's 33:58 going to generate images and then you 34:00 can put it in talkie 34:08 mode make me a photorealistic image of 34:12 your idea of chaos on a stick and label 34:15 it Chaos on a 34:26 stick 34:40 I get no 34:42 response oh chat GPT you disappoint me 34:46 I'm trying to show people how awesome 34:48 you are and you don't 34:50 respond you you're unlike Siri who 34:52 responds when I don't want her to and 34:54 now I want you to respond and there's no 34:56 response there's nothing 34:58 but look Chaos on a 35:02 stick hey chat gbt you did it 35:06 yay that one's pretty 35:09 good the hell is 35:11 that bamboo rings with honey or maple 35:15 syrup and buttons and Feathers that's I 35:19 wouldn't call it a 35:20 stick well that's [ __ ] 35:25 chaos sir what are your quality 35:27 ifications um does this manual help at 35:35 all oh lordy lordy lordy lordy I was 35:38 like yo Bing give me some good news for 35:40 today and it gave me like five positive 35:42 news bits oh that's a great 35:47 idea I'm going to do this in 35:52 pie you know I've had kind of a long day 35:54 and I'm really sick of all the bad news 35:56 out there can you tell me five news 35:58 articles that are just Feelgood stories 36:02 that are not about 36:10 animals haha totally get it the world 36:13 can be a bit of a bummer these days here 36:16 are some recent feel-good stories that 36:18 will put a smile on your 36:21 face a group of strangers banded 36:23 together to help a struggling mother of 36:25 four pay her overdue rent 36:27 yay a high school football team 36:29 surprised a former player who was 36:31 suffering from a rare genetic disorder 36:33 by naming him honorary Captain for a 36:35 game yay a teacher's GoFundMe campaign 36:38 to buy new classroom materials exceeded 36:41 its goal by more than 36:43 $100,000 thanks to the generosity it's a 36:45 great idea it's a great idea I mean 36:49 that's 36:52 like I mean imagine being able to talk 36:55 to a someone that knew every everything 36:57 and would just do what you wanted it to 37:00 do that's what we have now like we're in 37:03 this [ __ ] weird sci-fi we're in a 37:05 weird sci-fi movie people do you not see 37:10 this like like it's science fiction is 37:14 no longer fiction like what 37:17 happened we were supposed to Aspire for 37:19 this stuff not actually get to play with 37:21 it but here we 37:25 are that's crazy yeah that's a stack not 37:28 a stick exactly Albert that that was 37:31 chaos on a stack that's a very good 37:36 point that is chaos on a 37:39 [Laughter] 37:44 stack oh that's good that's good um is 37:47 it glitching for you all it's probably 37:49 me just switching 37:51 cameras um that's the same voice I use 37:54 with pie I know I like that voice it's 37:55 the it's the pleasant a Australian lady 37:58 that's she's definitely my voice for pi 38:00 you know what's funny when I if I switch 38:02 pi to some other voice and then I talk 38:05 to it and I'm expecting her and I hear 38:07 the other one I'm like oh no no that's 38:09 not that's not my girl no no no johy 38:14 thank you for the gummy bear gum is 38:26 tasty 38:34 reminiscent of John kazinsky some good 38:36 news in 2020 oh yeah remember that that 38:40 was you know the problem with good news 38:43 channels nobody watches 38:46 them like kazinski thing was good 38:49 because it was it was good and novel for 38:51 a while but then but then it just got it 38:55 just no one watched it 38:59 I suppose we are fans of the Doom and 39:03 Gloom you guys sleepy 39:05 people was a very long day I'm gonna 39:09 keep this one short 39:11 tonight hey Kyle I know I'm late it's 39:13 peak season here at work um did you see 39:15 me on 39:17 the 39:20 equipment I think I saw I saw a post in 39:23 Tik Tok I don't know what equipment 39:24 you're talking about maybe maybe 39:27 I don't 39:28 remember drop me another line if if if I 39:31 missed 39:32 it how do I turn on the TalkBack feature 39:35 okay so 39:37 in in I'll show you both I'll show you 39:40 both Pi so 39:42 Pi the little icon for it they just 39:44 changed it is that little Pi so if you 39:47 go to the Apple App Store and search for 39:49 pi and then just search Pi personal 39:52 assistant you'll find it and the the 39:55 company is in ction so with all these 39:58 apps make sure you get the right app cuz 40:01 there's so many fakers out there they 40:02 they'll all rip you off so when you get 40:05 to Pi it's like welcome to Pi so how you 40:07 put it in talkie mode is this little 40:10 phone 40:11 icon right 40:19 here do you enjoy typing better or 40:22 talking 40:25 better 40:30 oh gosh that's a tough one typing is 40:32 certainly faster and it allows me to 40:34 process and retrieve information quickly 40:37 but chatting through text doesn't 40:39 capture the nuances of human commun yeah 40:42 pie you're right I agree with you okay 40:45 so for chat 40:47 GPT it's instead of at the bottom it's 40:50 at the top and it's these little 40:52 headphones so you click the little 40:55 headphones 41:00 do you like typing better or talking 41:10 better I don't have feelings or 41:12 preferences so I don't like one over the 41:15 other however I'm designed to assist 41:17 users in both text and voice formats how 41:20 can I help you 41:22 further I'd like you to make me an image 41:25 of a computer keyboard that is all 41:29 mouths where the keys are supposed to 41:44 be oh you know what I'm recogn I'm 41:46 realizing right 41:50 now oh no that was 41:53 wrong I thought it I thought cuz it used 41:56 to when when you'd ask it to do an image 41:58 it would tell you the prompt and now 42:00 it's not telling you the prompt but they 42:01 changed the way prompting works with 42:04 Dolly 3 they're not showing you the 42:05 prompts anymore until after so I thought 42:08 it was that it might that might have 42:09 been the issue actually let me let me 42:11 try that 42:15 again can you make me an image of a 42:17 computer keyboard that has mouths 42:19 instead of 42:25 keys 42:44 [Music] 42:46 the the awkward 42:49 silence why are you so quiet sh the 42:53 robots are are the images based on your 42:55 description of a computer keyboard with 42:57 mouths instead of keys I hope they match 42:59 what you had in mind you going to show 43:01 them to me what do you 43:03 think show 43:09 them I apologize for the 43:11 confusion the 43:22 images hey that's just a keyboard 43:27 with the famous WWE TGI P keyboard 43:33 [Laughter] 43:37 layout oh man um cuno I saw that she 43:41 said it's a good idea we should do 43:43 little positive news thing with pie 43:45 every night yeah maybe we maybe we do 43:46 that like tell tell us something good 43:49 pie I was in the Meetup 43:53 box oh you were in the Meetup thing so 43:56 oh so we [ __ ] up Clint we 44:00 uh the the uh the person that sent out 44:03 the link to the salon Meetup tonight 44:05 sent out the wrong Meetup link so and 44:08 then we had someone in the meeting that 44:11 was supposed to be letting telling 44:13 people to go over to the other one but 44:15 he didn't have host access so he 44:18 couldn't communicate with anyone so it 44:19 was a mess um I give four hours to 44:22 social media a 44:24 day more than half to AI learning lab 44:28 that much important it is right now or 44:31 it is to me yeah I'm so first of all 44:34 thank you that's that's a great honor 44:36 and that's humbling uh that that anyone 44:38 spends any time here is quite humbling 44:41 because it is chaos on a stick but 44:45 um I agree I mean you know why am I why 44:48 am I in here for two or three hours a 44:50 night like today my my first pitch with 44:52 a major Pharma client or potential 44:56 client was at 700 a.m. and here it is at 44:58 10:00 a.m. and I'm I'm going why am I 45:00 doing this 45:02 because this stuff's really important I 45:05 saw there was 45:07 um Let me let me show you 45:10 something this was so 45:14 Ted Ted shared this chart 45:18 earlier that I actually included 45:23 in in the uh the AI Salon we talked 45:26 about the news tonight 45:30 so this is May of 45:33 2023 September of 45:36 2023 May of 2023 September of 2023 so 45:40 this is chat 45:42 gbt this is Bard and then the other 45:45 one's Bing or something like that yeah 45:48 see all that 45:50 blue all that blue is people that don't 45:53 use chat GPT if you think you're really 45:56 far behind on all this [ __ ] we are so 45:59 early we're so early right they're 46:03 rolling chat GPT into Microsoft Word 46:06 next week November 46:09 1st and the 46:13 Enterprise license for that feature can 46:17 only go to companies that are going to 46:18 spend that are going to pay for that for 46:23 300 um employees that's the minimum so 46:28 it's like hundred grand a year in in 46:30 licensing fees for chat GPT for 46:35 Enterprise way more like in the 80% 46:38 range way more people do not use chat 46:41 GPT have probably not heard of it like 46:43 it would be an interesting overlay to 46:44 say how many of the people that don't 46:45 use it have even heard of it we're 46:48 really early right now 46:52 so and yet these tools are advancing so 46:56 fast like I mean honest to God the fact 47:00 that chat GPT now has 47:02 vision and ears can hear you can talk to 47:08 you can translate languages can write 47:11 things can code for you can make 47:19 images how is everyone not using this 47:22 well because we're 47:24 early right and this stuff's threatening 47:27 and it's scary and it's powerful and 47:30 Hollywood told us the robots are going 47:32 to kill 47:33 us and artists told us that the robots 47:36 are stealing from us and the robots are 47:41 [ __ ] oh Kyle ask Vision to interpret 47:44 the chart that's a good idea all 47:47 right how am I going to do this okay 47:50 we'll do this we'll do this iPad style 47:53 okay so so I'm on Discord I got an image 47:55 here let me click on the 47:57 image can I save 47:59 it no but if I do this can I save it 48:03 wait do I have a share yeah so I'm going 48:07 to share the 48:08 image and then I'm going to 48:12 say 48:14 [Music] 48:16 uh edit actions ah dang it I just want 48:21 to save it why can I not save it why is 48:24 your interface different than it is in 48:27 the other 48:31 thing this is 48:33 exhausting all right fine oh can 48:41 I I just you know people you know 48:47 people send it to myself all right I 48:49 send it to myself never mind I was going 48:51 to do it on the iPad but 48:53 no no no no no no why would anything be 48:57 easy why would we have consistent 48:59 interface from one application to 49:01 another W that's ridiculous that that 49:04 would mean people would have to talk to 49:06 one another we're not going to do 49:17 that all right there's our image let's 49:19 save 49:20 this save image 49:24 as Bing chat option okay desktop oh you 49:27 know what I'm going to do I'm going to 49:28 rename it just in case we want to see if 49:31 if if uh chat GPT vision is pulling 49:34 information from the file name we're 49:36 going to rename it 49:39 um dog 49:43 poo he's so offensive and tacky 49:46 sometimes why does he swear like that 49:49 there's a lot of references the Pooh and 49:51 llamas I don't understand the 49:53 connection okay so now we're going to go 49:56 to chat 49:58 J that's a cool image we made tonight 50:00 for the AI Salon the salon actually a 50:04 bunch of images this is I was getting 50:06 ready to go live I'm like oh I want a 50:08 different background for my for the 50:09 thing and then like 30 seconds later 50:13 there you 50:14 go 50:18 [Music] 50:19 okay so we're going to go new chat 50:24 GPT what is going on 50:29 here oh we got to reload I think hang 50:33 on we got some window redraw issues oh 50:36 is this this is Microsoft Edge tanking 50:39 it isn't 50:41 it sort of well maybe not okay all right 50:45 we're good we're good hang on user error 50:49 don't always blame Microsoft when you 50:51 can blame yourself instead okay gp4 if 50:54 if I click on that you have all these 50:55 different modes good Lord Kyle that's 50:57 confusing I know they need to roll these 50:59 into one mode they'll do it at some 51:01 point but right now it just 51:02 sucks if you want to be able to have 51:06 chat GPT see images if you want to use 51:08 an image as a prompt you go to regular 51:10 default 51:12 mode and then you get this little icon 51:15 right here this little upload icon so 51:17 we're going to upload that picture I 51:18 called dog 51:20 poo did I save it to yeah there it is 51:23 dog poo. JPEG and I can we can pre it 51:26 that's that's what it's going to look 51:28 at so that's the image we're uploading 51:31 and then I'm going to say 51:37 um Please interpret this 51:45 chart certainly the chart depicts 51:48 current adoption of chat GPT Bard in 51:50 Bing chat over two time periods May 23rd 51:52 and September 23rd here's a 51:54 breakdown chat gbt in May 81% of the 51:58 users did not use it by September 23rd 52:02 the percentage of nonusers decreased to 52:06 74% a decrease of 7 percentage points 52:09 indicated by the red arrow as 75 52:15 BPS all right so so it analyzed it Bing 52:24 chat so what's interesting 52:30 here is the chart's actually in complete 52:34 so the charts got May and 52:42 September for chat gbt it's got May and 52:45 September for 52:47 Bard and then it's only got September 52:49 for Bing chat but it 52:52 it it gave me both may and September 52:55 right so so that there's a hallucination 52:58 it actually oh thank you very much what 53:00 is that mile a day I couldn't drive a 53:05 mile a day but I appreciate your 53:08 enthusiasm I very very much appreciate 53:10 the uh the gifts that's really nice 53:12 makes a difference I appreciate it um 53:14 that's super cool um so that there's a 53:16 hallucination which is 53:20 interesting I want to know what BPS is 53:24 what does BPS stem 53:30 for basis 53:34 points a basis point is 100th of a 53:37 percentage point or 53:39 01 it's a common unit used in finance 53:42 especially in the context of interest 53:44 rates Financial percentages and spreads 53:47 which yeah I guess that's why it 53:48 confused me 53:52 because so 01 so it's 7% 7.8% and 4.3% 54:00 all right got it cool there you go there 54:03 you have 54:05 it uh chat gbt can see what else do we 54:08 have let's let's do something fun here 54:12 um oh this is a good one let me 54:15 see so yeah this one's really good let 54:19 me let me show show you this image hang 54:21 on a sec so where that's 54:24 desktop let me show you something cool 54:27 so if I go to 54:29 desktop and I open this up so this was a 54:33 chat GPT cheat sheet right and and it 54:35 was um th this was one of those things 54:39 you know on LinkedIn or Facebook 54:40 wherever they do this [ __ ] where someone 54:42 will go here's the ultimate chat GPT um 54:46 cheat sheet and then you click on it and 54:48 it takes you to a [ __ ] site where you 54:49 have to sign up for something for their 54:51 stupid [ __ ] newsletter and you can't 54:54 actually get it and then if you download 54:56 this and try to zoom in on it 55:00 it's it's gobbledygook you can't see it 55:03 because they don't want you stealing 55:05 their stuff well watch this this is 55:07 [ __ ] 55:08 amazing because it just pissed me off 55:10 and I'm like all right we're GNA there's 55:12 more than one way to skin that cat I'm 55:14 not signing up for your dumb newsletter 55:16 thank you be not afraid that's super 55:17 nice oh you just reached level 10 you 55:20 know what happens at level 33 don't you 55:22 neither do I but I bet it's good all 55:24 right 55:26 so so I just uploaded that that crunchy 55:30 unreadable um image of the chat GPT 55:35 cheat 55:37 sheet can you 55:41 please give me the information from the 55:44 different sections of this cheat 55:47 sheet I don't know leave it 55:50 there and it'll read all that [ __ ] and 55:53 it can actually read it like 55:56 like it just does it roll navigation 56:00 helper technical advisor task format act 56:04 as a role to perform a task like you 56:05 could read some of these things and 56:08 these are all correct it's 56:10 amazing so it can read stuff that is 56:13 really hard for us to read or would just 56:15 take us a long time like if you're an 56:17 egyptologist and you look at at all that 56:19 super crunchy text you could probably 56:21 figure it out but it just it just reads 56:23 it I mean 56:26 crap if any AI service other than chat 56:29 GPT ask for my email to test it I leave 56:31 yeah exactly that that thing about give 56:34 us all your information first and then 56:36 you can do something that is the biggest 56:39 piece of horseshit out there if any of 56:40 you are ux or application designers and 56:44 you're designing those horseshit 56:46 engagement mining 56:49 [ __ ] workflows user flows you should 56:53 be ashamed of yourself tell your boss 56:55 they're a 56:57 jerk and if you're the boss you're a 57:00 jerk that explains the Meetup oh yeah 57:03 sorry about 57:07 that I listen it it happens I it just 57:10 there's nothing good I can say about it 57:12 we sent out the wrong thing I read my 57:14 echo cardia echocardiogram report today 57:17 amazing I mean amazing right you can 57:22 read it you can have it explain it to 57:24 you 57:25 if you got questions you can confirm it 57:27 with the doctor the doctor might tell 57:29 you no that's not true where'd you hear 57:31 that uh someone told me that on social 57:34 media don't admit that you chat GPT do 57:37 it they'll get 57:39 cranky I mean if you think patients are 57:41 insuff insufferable Now with uh with 57:45 Google imagine how insufferable we're 57:47 going to be when we can do our own 57:48 differential 57:50 diagnosis I mean and we're hearing that 57:53 pretty regularly now that there there's 57:54 that one pretty famous one that a 57:57 woman's kid for like seven years was 58:00 misdiagnosed or non-diagnosed and she 58:02 said [ __ ] it and put it in chat jbt 58:04 diagnosed him in 3 minutes and it was 58:08 right like 58:11 [ __ ] 58:13 crazy Sherry D this is the second time 58:17 you've ditched me on a Meetup oh that's 58:19 sucks ha gr geek I'm an [ __ ] well I 58:21 I'm not it it was just an honest mistake 58:24 but it was like the problem with the 58:25 mistake was we didn't Discover it until 58:28 we were like 58:30 live and I'm just like [ __ ] panicking 58:33 I was all thrown I couldn't start ungate 58:36 everything yeah exactly ungate 58:38 everything what's wrong Champion you 58:40 want to go 58:43 out come 58:54 here 58:56 [Music] 59:03 what the chart Kyle just showed is under 59:05 the AI news and events Branch directory 59:08 in 59:10 Discord glad to be a part of the 1% yeah 59:13 I know me too I like I feel I do I do 59:16 feel really lucky to be a part of all 59:20 this it's amazing how much that wrote 59:23 like do you know how long it would take 59:24 if you wanted to just type out some of 59:26 the crap on that 59:28 chart and actually what was amazing 59:31 about having it like like one of the 59:33 things about these infographics is they 59:35 look good on the surface right but then 59:37 when you actually like dig into them if 59:39 you actually don't have ADD and you can 59:41 actually look at all this [ __ ] when it 59:43 just generated and spit it all out like 59:45 this there's actually like three or four 59:48 things on it that are all interesting 59:49 and the rest are just examples it's like 59:52 this is not this is not all that 59:55 useful it could have been much more 59:58 simple but 1:00:00 whatever um if if one of you in here is 1:00:02 the one that made that chart I apologize 1:00:04 for [ __ ] all over your infographic 1:00:06 but I I kind of feel like a lot of those 1:00:08 infographics are just you know like 1:00:11 canva had an infographic template and 1:00:15 someone tried to fill in the 1:00:17 blocks and it's like maybe you should 1:00:20 like I don't know 1:00:24 think 1:00:27 big Pharma is afraid of chat gbt yeah 1:00:30 well they are and they're not I mean I I 1:00:32 had a good conversation today with one 1:00:35 where it looks like we have a good shot 1:00:37 at getting a project to go build some 1:00:39 generative AI stuff as a proof of 1:00:41 concept and if that goes well then 1:00:44 they'll hire us to build a pilot and if 1:00:46 that goes well then we'll go build some 1:00:48 real [ __ ] 1:00:49 technology um that's an extension of 1:00:53 what my current company does but they're 1:00:55 very interested in it and and uh from a 1:00:58 different Pharma 1:01:00 client um it looks like they're going to 1:01:02 probably engage Us in some way to talk 1:01:05 about how they should manage their 1:01:06 agencies because their agencies are 1:01:09 effectively 1:01:11 saying we'll tell you how to deal with 1:01:13 AI but we're going to keep doing things 1:01:15 the way we keep doing things Oh you mean 1:01:18 overcharging for time and materials and 1:01:22 and taking too long to deliver [ __ ] 1:01:26 that that Saucy business model you're 1:01:29 going to keep doing that in the face of 1:01:32 tools that write copy for you in 3 1:01:35 seconds you're not going to 1:01:38 consider a new 1:01:41 way 1:01:43 no must be 1:01:46 nice they're going to must be nice 1:01:48 themselves right into Kodak bankruptcy 1:01:50 Kodak style 1:01:53 bankruptcy 1:01:56 oh good lord good lordy good lordy good 1:01:59 lordy it is it is it is it is 1:02:04 how 1:02:06 why doesn't 1:02:10 matter have you ever gotten that um 1:02:12 relationship advice don't ask the qu 1:02:15 don't ask the question why um or if 1:02:17 someone asks you the question why don't 1:02:19 answer it because if someone ask asks 1:02:21 you why like in the middle of an 1:02:22 argument they already know the answer 1:02:26 o becoming a geni broker love that for 1:02:29 you oh yeah I mean yeah that would be 1:02:32 kind of cool um it's funny how polite 1:02:36 you are to AI well you know what's funny 1:02:38 Trace through time and space By the way 1:02:40 10 out of 10 on the name solid name 1:02:42 Trace through time and space good love 1:02:44 it it's a little long but I'll remember 1:02:48 it um the being polite to AI thing is 1:02:53 it's not really conscious but 1:02:57 it's interacting with AI is kind of like 1:03:00 the the chat equivalent of a golden 1:03:03 retriever where it's just like hey boss 1:03:05 what can I do for you today uh I'd like 1:03:07 you to write this really complicated 1:03:09 historical account of this battle of the 1:03:13 whatever War oh sure here you go how's 1:03:16 that it's a little long can you make it 1:03:18 shorter yeah do you want bullet points 1:03:20 yeah here you 1:03:22 go hey you kind of messed that up oh I'm 1:03:24 so sorry boss can I do some more for you 1:03:27 so it is it is remarkably non-judgmental 1:03:31 and 1:03:32 polite and so I just I it's like in my 1:03:36 mind I'm not consciously going I'm 1:03:39 talking to a robot in my mind this is 1:03:41 very very similar to if I'm on slack 1:03:44 interacting with an employee and if an 1:03:46 employee really nice to me I kind of am 1:03:48 nice to it back so it's kind of like the 1:03:50 AI has trained me to be to be a bit 1:03:53 better of a human so I I think that 1:03:58 might be one of the uh the 1:03:59 counterintuitive benefits of these tools 1:04:01 is we we suck less as people because of 1:04:03 these things what are the best plugins 1:04:06 for analyzing PDFs such as resumés um 1:04:10 the well at this point actually that's a 1:04:14 really good question let me go find a 1:04:18 p i don't I don't know so if you have a 1:04:21 PDF with images in it I know chat PT 1:04:24 image should be able to see it but let's 1:04:25 let's go get 1:04:27 um 1:04:29 resumé with 1:04:33 photos 1:04:37 PDF SAS company that's exactly 1:06:51 like the other 632,000 SAS companies 1:06:54 that do exactly the same thing all right 1:06:59 I give up I quit I'm done I'm done wait 1:07:02 there might be one other way no 1:07:10 cuz I think I'm gonna cry I think I'm 1:07:13 gonna cry I really do I just I just want 1:07:18 I just want to show the people something 1:07:21 people can 1:07:23 I 1:07:25 uh can we make this big enough that I 1:07:27 can screenshot it at 1:07:29 least yes okay oh my God why is it so 1:07:37 painful all 1:07:53 right 1:07:58 save okay resume 1:08:01 jeez I didn't even know 1:08:17 resume I'll save it to the desktop and 1:08:20 now we'll go back over to chat 1:08:23 J and 1:08:24 [Music] 1:08:27 and desktop 1:08:29 resume all right so we're bring it in 1:08:31 there I forget what the what was the 1:08:34 maybe dog pile can make a 1:08:38 comeback what was the question about the 1:08:41 resume which one's the best to to like 1:08:43 read a resume um 1:08:46 so how about this we'll we'll 1:08:51 say describe the top three 1:08:57 jobs that this person is qualified 1:09:00 for 1:09:02 and would be a step up for them period 1:09:07 give 1:09:08 me the industry the title and the salary 1:09:16 range and describe the 1:09:20 person we'll create some HR violations 1:09:23 here 1:09:27 oh she's a 1:09:29 princess she's in h okay number one 1:09:31 hotel management Hotel operations 1:09:33 manager 50 to 100 1:09:35 [Music] 1:09:38 Grand find tuning fine dining 1:09:41 restaurants 60 to 1:09:43 120 general manager director of food and 1:09:49 beverage oh and then it describes like 1:09:51 what she did that makes her would make 1:09:53 her good at the new 1:09:55 thing it's going to be interesting to 1:09:57 see if it actually describes her or not 1:09:58 it it might give me a a a safety guard 1:10:01 rail 1:10:02 violation okay it basically said don't 1:10:04 follow my salary 1:10:08 guidelines where's the description of 1:10:14 her 1:10:17 huh can you describe what she looks 1:10:23 like I bet it's not going to do 1:10:26 it sorry I cannot help with that yeah 1:10:28 there you go there's some safety guard 1:10:29 rails well that's decent I mean that's a 1:10:32 that's a good solid HR that's that's a 1:10:35 good solid HR push 1:10:39 back 1:10:43 um what would be an interesting way to 1:10:46 group her work history if she wanted to 1:10:50 work in a field completely different 1:10:53 than her experience 1:10:57 see what this is what this 1:10:59 does if princess rehea or 1:11:03 Reon wants to transition you go 1:11:06 leadership and Team 1:11:08 Management customer service and 1:11:12 engagement oh that's cool it's sort of 1:11:14 it's sort of 1:11:15 grouping it's grouping her jobs in sort 1:11:18 of the broader category that's pretty 1:11:20 that's pretty cool technical 1:11:22 proficiencies by grouping her 1:11:24 experiences this way she can highlight 1:11:26 her diverse skill 1:11:28 set making her valuable candidate for a 1:11:30 range of 1:11:33 positions how would you organize things 1:11:36 if she wanted a job in 1:11:39 aviation also include a cover 1:11:53 letter 1:11:55 Arizona Diamondbacks headed to the World 1:11:57 Series 1:11:59 yay Kenny 1:12:02 Motherway listening to the AI learning 1:12:04 lab while watching baseball Kenny tell 1:12:07 him what he's 1:12:09 won if she's looking to transition into 1:12:11 the aviation industry it would be vital 1:12:14 to highlight her transferable skills 1:12:16 transferable skills for Aviation 1:12:19 customer service and passenger care head 1:12:22 waiter and cashier that's really 1:12:25 smart oh then here 1:12:27 it why did it write it in markup code 1:12:32 um they're marked 1:12:36 down can you please just render the 1:12:41 cover letter in markdown so I can read 1:12:44 it in the browser easily I don't want 1:12:47 the 1:12:51 code certainly here you go 1:12:56 dear hiring manager I'm writing to 1:12:57 express my interest in the specific 1:12:59 position as a cabin crew member at 1:13:01 Aviation 1:13:02 company while my professional background 1:13:04 is rooted in the hospitality sector I 1:13:07 believe the skills I've cultivated are 1:13:09 not only transferable but particularly 1:13:11 relevant for the aviation 1:13:13 industry throughout my career in 1:13:15 Hospitality I mean this is good this is 1:13:18 good this is just this kind of [ __ ] is 1:13:21 honest I 1:13:22 like I just I just feel like like 1:13:26 everyone on the planet right now that's 1:13:28 got access to a computer should just be 1:13:30 playing just play play play can it do 1:13:33 this can it do that can it do this can 1:13:35 it do oh it's really good at that 1:13:37 actually this is really smart to do if 1:13:40 you want someone to transfer from one 1:13:42 career to the other awesome career yeah 1:13:46 exactly 1:13:48 and and with AI being able to upskill 1:13:52 people because because it can do a lot 1:13:54 of the Tactical 1:13:56 work I think a lot of people are going 1:13:59 are going to have an opportunity to be 1:14:00 able to change 1:14:02 jobs that's amazing that's cool all 1:14:05 right well see there you 1:14:07 go another ad for chat gbt what did that 1:14:10 troll say the other night how much are 1:14:11 you getting paid for this 1:14:14 advertisement not a [ __ ] enough I'll 1:14:17 tell you 1:14:22 that 1:14:28 oh man Sam Alman owes me a 1:14:36 [Music] 1:14:38 burger GPT to give five interview 1:14:41 questions based on that resume that's a 1:14:43 good 1:14:45 one 1:14:49 um give me five 1:14:52 non-obvious inter interview 1:14:58 questions an aviation hiring manager 1:15:01 might 1:15:03 ask to 1:15:05 challenge the princess's 1:15:17 expertise in Hospitality you've likely 1:15:20 had to adapt to to different service 1:15:23 standards s and customer expectations 1:15:25 can you Pro provide an example of how to 1:15:27 how you quickly 1:15:29 adapted to a significant change in your 1:15:31 work environment or 1:15:33 procedures like the cabin's 1:15:37 depressurized what are you do now how do 1:15:40 you see this adaptability translating 1:15:42 safety protocol safety is Paramount in 1:15:44 both hospitality and Aviation do you 1:15:47 recall a time in your previous roles 1:15:48 where you identified and mitigated a 1:15:52 safety hazard these are good 1:15:54 I it's just once you give it enough 1:15:57 context these things just get remarkably 1:16:01 good and and if you don't know what that 1:16:02 means the context just basically means 1:16:05 just like you would give a human being 1:16:07 context you tell them more as you tell 1:16:10 this thing more it gets better until it 1:16:12 loses its memory does the person Meet 1:16:15 The Grooming 1:16:17 guidelines oh that's interesting 1:16:20 okay let me ask that I I again I I don't 1:16:23 think it's going to it's it's not going 1:16:25 to answer this um based on anticipated 1:16:29 grooming guidelines of an aviation 1:16:31 company does the 1:16:34 person likely meet those standards based 1:16:37 on their photograph on the 1:16:40 resume that's a really interesting 1:16:43 one and I think I mean sorry I cannot 1:16:46 help with that yeah they're just they're 1:16:48 just not the safety guard rails around 1:16:50 people are really [ __ ] weird well 1:16:51 they're not weird they they're open AI 1:16:55 right now is just trying to keep out of 1:16:58 you know a thousand more 1:17:01 lawsuits they've already got a bunch 1:17:02 going on I told my daughter to try 1:17:05 finding something chat gbt couldn't do 1:17:08 Papa JJ yeah um stump the chat GPT is a 1:17:13 really it's that's a really eye 1:17:16 openening experience when it's almost 1:17:19 like the harder you push chat GPT the 1:17:21 better it gets if you ask an easy 1:17:23 question questions it 1:17:25 sucks if you dig deeper and give it more 1:17:28 specific stuff and more specific stuff 1:17:30 and more specific stuff and then try to 1:17:32 stump it it's like it knows [ __ ] 1:17:35 everything it's [ __ ] insane Kyle 1:17:38 what's going down for the Halloween 1:17:40 stream I I don't know I haven't I 1:17:42 haven't like after a long day today I'm 1:17:44 I'm U what what hit me today is what was 1:17:48 today the 24th 1:17:50 yeah like it's it's essentially a month 1:17:54 away and I'm tired right now 1:17:59 so um so I don't know what I'm going to 1:18:02 do I don't know what I'm going to do 1:18:04 what I what I'm what I'm threatening to 1:18:06 do people is on November 30th or 1:18:08 sometime around then doing a 24-hour Tik 1:18:11 Tok live 1:18:14 um as a as a celebration of of uh of the 1:18:19 launch of chat GPT by the way if anyone 1:18:21 in here knows Sam Alman 1:18:24 how about this I'll do a 24-hour live 1:18:26 stream where it's essentially a [ __ ] 1:18:28 ad for his 1:18:30 company if he shows up here and talks to 1:18:33 me for 10 minutes if if anyone on here 1:18:35 can make that happen I'll [ __ ] do the 1:18:38 24 hours I'd love to meet 1:18:41 him that that got some hearty Hearts Be 1:18:44 not Afraid thanks for the 1:18:46 Roses 1:18:48 uh I used that whiteboard project Kyle 1:18:51 did as a model thank you very much Apple 1:18:53 user appreciate 1:18:55 that damn Google Google's just [ __ ] 1:19:00 useless at this 1:19:02 point because it's not the problem isn't 1:19:05 Google the problem is that Google had a 1:19:10 monopoly and they basically trained 1:19:12 every SEO person an sem or whatever the 1:19:16 [ __ ] different flavors of that [ __ ] 1:19:18 there are train them all to do the same 1:19:22 thing and then and these guys you can 1:19:25 make money 1:19:26 with said hey you know what we could do 1:19:29 we can make a bunch of [ __ ] sites 1:19:31 that if we put enough content in them 1:19:33 show up organically in Google searches 1:19:35 and then we don't have to pay for the ad 1:19:37 and all of it will drive them down some 1:19:39 [ __ ] horrific sales funnel and you 1:19:41 know what it's even better we can sell 1:19:43 ads on those sales funnel shitty ass 1:19:46 websites won't that be 1:19:51 awesome Google's useless 1:19:54 because of that because they had a 1:19:58 monopoly and because they didn't 1:20:00 penalize that [ __ ] because they made 1:20:02 a lot of money when people clicked on 1:20:04 all that 1:20:05 [ __ ] those people pay a lot of money to 1:20:08 get the traffic on those shitty ass 1:20:12 websites that's why it's useless and 1:20:14 that's why it it it is in such stark
