8. 1:57dog we uh we are a a boundaryless family when it comes to uh canine participation we we hire so we we've had
9. 2:11we've had a bunch of labs and then we have Champ whatever the hell he is and uh we we have always had poorly behaved
10. 2:19dogs and so when we got our first pair of labs they they were particularly neurotic I think they were a little
11. 2:26inbred little cousin situation going on there and uh we hired a a dog trainer and I'm like this is awesome it's gonna
12. 2:35get all better now and then what I learned from the dog trainer is that they don't train the dog they train the
13. 2:42people not to be horrible dog owners and I realized oh we're always going to have horrible dogs for the rest
14. 2:52of our lives we just we just don't have the Constitution to be good dog owners so we have shitty dogs but they love us
15. 3:08so oh man all right my favorite dog is a German shepherd very nice I had a rotweiler when I was a kid didn't like that
16. 3:21dog he almost bit my little toe off the little [ __ ] well the big [ __ ] those things are intimidating

18. 3:46apparently Google was going to surprise release Gemini next week so this is this is the supposed GPT 4 killer the
19. 3:58multimodal Google GPT 4 killer and the CEO delayed it till till January [Laughter]
20. 4:13so I didn't realize this I saw in the article Google has 200,000 employees I had no [ __ ] idea they were that big and um open AI has
21. 4:25800 and there's a there's a uh a tweet from Greg Brockman today that for for me this kind of rubbed salt in the wound of
22. 4:35Google wait let me see if I can find it um [Music] Greg Brockman Greg
23. 4:53Brockman so he goes six hours ago Greg Greg Brockman tweets first week back at work complete 52 team meetings and one on oneon-one so
24. 5:07far biggest takeaway is people across every single function are united in their thinking renewed focus and energy
25. 5:16desire to figure out what they can uniquely do to further the mission we are back stronger it's like they were
26. 5:24firing on all cylinders before so so if they've tightened things up now and I I I mean you know this is what happened
27. 5:32was one of those events that either blows the company the [ __ ] up or it it takes it to the next level so uh they're
28. 5:39going to be an Unstoppable Force for some amount of time that that that kind of that kind of cultural uh blast is
29. 5:47something also Greg Brockman posted a picture of him and Ilia sver um who in the big announcement three days ago or two days ago um was
30. 5:58not announced other than we're trying to figure out how to work together so maybe they're working some stuff out so anyway
31. 6:06I thought I thought that was that was some pretty clever clever uh Google trolling by the way you tried to break us it got us

36. 6:59so I have to go in and manually match them up and rename them and it just takes forever it's just a stupid
37. 7:05administrative thing uh but I figured that out so that was good and then there's also some Tik Tock live Aon
38. 7:13going on so I joined that but if it does anything annoying just it ignore it if there's something fun it does cool I
39. 7:21think it's they wanted me to get a certain amount of diamonds or or uh celebration like party hats or something I I I don't [ __ ] know I
40. 7:30don't care um but but if it gets annoying just ignore that [ __ ] um I'm supposed to I'm supposed to Hawk it up

45. 8:22that write a song or two I don't know if Jim Ross is in here but Jim Ross actually got a a business contract with
46. 8:29that thing I wrote a big sappy thank you to open AI oh nice oh I saw that today lunar stick yeah that was a really
47. 8:36nicely written piece congrats on that that was a good piece um yeah was really cool yeah she if I may paraphrase your
48. 8:44piece it was basically you know it's it's unlocked you know large swaths of your brain that that have gone largely
49. 8:50dormant and Chachi PT is just you know reignited some [ __ ] I feel the exact same way I I feel like yeah it's just so
50. 9:00it's just so funny it's the the like the more I do this stuff the more clear it becomes this is this is as
51. 9:09it stands right now a force of good in the world um and and it really is around unlocking the creative brain Kyle do you

61. 10:53activity in there and it's not just it's not just uh AI learning Lab live related so that's super cool um I know isn't that cool cuno I know

134. 22:51successful at taking a long long transcript generating it into a YouTube title a description with a bunch of you know
135. 23:03rules and a series of chapters but it but the chapter thing in particular is just totally inconsistent and sometimes
136. 23:12brilliant and sometimes awful and so I tried to turn it into a chat GPT today and I actually rate limited myself and I
137. 23:20I just never I never got it so I'm a little I'm a little bitter on chat G on the gpts right now cuz it's just it's
138. 23:28it's like it's so close but it's just it's getting it I'm telling you man these AIS right now you can get them to
139. 23:3680% quick which is really impressive but then if you try to get them to a 100 is it frustrating speaking of face plants I
140. 23:44created a GPT for the M for MMA Enthusiast lunar stick you're on fire with these things you need like a whole
141. 23:50channel for yourself you should if you haven't done it seriously you should put together like a a page of just you know
142. 23:58icons with all your different um all all your different things I'll I'll promote it we we'll demo it on here we we'll go
143. 24:04we'll drive some traffic your way that's super cool she's basically taken a box full of index cards of ideas she's had
144. 24:11over the past couple of decades and resurrecting them in in uh in the form of gpts okay so we're going to hop over

147. 24:55GPT before this is it there's two modes to it there's GPT 3.5 which is the free version and there's GPT 4 the problem
148. 25:05with gp4 right now is if you don't have it you can't get it they're not giving out new uh subscriptions to it um
149. 25:14because they're they're overwhelmed with how much people using it that said it doesn't mean chat GPT 3.5 isn't good so
150. 25:21if you've never seen it I'll just do a little bit of a little bit of GPT in right now that'll that that that should
151. 25:29should tickle your Nethers um so let's see let's we'll do uh write a country song about changing the oil in my pickup
152. 25:44truck when I spot the love of my life so 3.5 is fast um it does this stuff pretty fast and it's it's really
153. 25:59quite good uh I was under my pickup truck sunny day changing the oil just passing the time away had a wrench in my
154. 26:06rag covered in grease little did I know my world was about to find some peace all right not great but not bad I was
155. 26:13changed my oil when I saw your smile underneath that pickup truck for a little while all right whatever okay um
156. 26:21so but now I could say I could say um let's see um what are uh let's see give me a table comparing um
157. 26:38successful lyrics for country songs versus pop songs versus
158. 26:52WP and so this should give us a nice table of so love country song heartfelt sentimental pop song romantic often
159. 27:04catchy rap song relationships passion and so you know it just quickly we we'll do stuff like that you could also say
160. 27:14um I want to create a song lyric generator that first asks the user to choose one of those three Styles and input a
161. 27:28subject and then based on the rules of songwriting you've outlined above it generates a set of lyrics
162. 27:40and chat jpt will just go off and write that for you and explain to you how to deal with it and how to run it and you
163. 27:50could paste code in here and you could say document this for me or find the bug in it things like that so uh if you
164. 27:57haven't played with chat GPT before just start doing these are what I call parlor tricks just start throwing [ __ ] at the
165. 28:03wall right throw pasta at the wall try to stump it tell it to educate you about something you know deeply and you you'll
166. 28:10see you you'll pretty quickly come come to realize oh this this there's something here like it's kind of like
167. 28:18playing with a video game when you start first start playing with it um and then at some point you may have what I call
168. 28:24your Kevin McAllister moment that moment you're like oh my sir I've looked for screenplay to St storyboard on
169. 28:32futurepedia and Adobe isn't there yet thoughts I've looked for screenplay to storyboard on futurepedia and Adobe
170. 28:44isn't there yet thoughts uh yeah that's not a surprise to me because Adobe one of the things that adobe has
171. 28:54not done super well over the years is is cross the beams of their products one of the things that large language models do
172. 29:02really well is sort of mesh together different modes Adobe is very siloed the apps are very siloed even though they've
173. 29:10got bridge to to pass things between them they are very distinct Feature Feature Suites um so the fact that that because that requires
174. 29:24both storytelling large language models with they don't have a ton of that [ __ ] like Adobe is sort of like they'll
175. 29:30assume that you've got the story figured out in fact talking to John neck who works at Adobe they like they tried
176. 29:37doing some automation stuff that that helps with the storytelling like what storyvine does and just didn't it didn't
177. 29:44fit with the culture of their products so um so it doesn't surprise me that they're not there yet that said Adobe of
178. 29:52all the big companies um trying to figure this [ __ ] out Adobe really is leaning into it so I would I would say
179. 30:00that storyboarding I it feels like such an a niche thing for them I'm guess I'm guessing that you'll see some other player get there before
180. 30:13they do and if they're smart they'll they'll make it compatible with with uh with Adobe stuff anyway okay so let's go

183. 30:41interpreter and so what code interpreter is is the ability to do Advanced Data analysis um within the context of a
184. 30:51conversation and it's it's quite impressive it's it's a bit of a hidden feature if you don't know it's there you
185. 30:57you don't know it's there if you do you do but in chat gp4 you see this little paperclip icon down here you can upload
186. 31:04images to that chat GPT can see images you can also upload images to that and say things like find the find the
187. 31:14um top 10 average colors in this image and it will actually analyze the data of the image versus the the visuals of the
188. 31:23image so so you can do all sorts of stuff but what I'm going to do before I upload something here is we're gonna go
189. 31:28get some data so where I'm gonna go is a site called kaggle.com K A GLE
190. 31:50[Music] Ecom and I'm going to go to to a thing called data sets and then we're going to go get some data and I'm going to try to get a
191. 32:03decently meaty One World Cup complete data set I don't know what that means complete there's a 1 Megabyte New York
192. 32:13City taxi and limousine Fair data set oh these are recently Hollywood Hits and flops that's only 29k let's get something meaty

195. 33:04this might be too big but it's kind of interesting so this is 120 megabyte 1.5 million Uber app Google store

205. 35:15analyzing and analy when it says analyzing it's got a little drop- down menu here this is code interpreter so I
206. 35:21can I can pop this open and what it's actually doing so when code interpreter runs it creates what's called a
207. 35:27container so inside your chat is a container that effectively acts like a virtual computer that's got its own
208. 35:33little mini file system and it's got access to python libraries and it can write and execute python code and all
209. 35:42within the context of your chat so when I asked it to open the zip file and see what was in it the first thing it does
210. 35:48is it uses a library to open a zip file writes the code to open the zip file and then pulls the stuff out of it so it
211. 35:55says your archive upload contains two CSV files here they are the files appear related taxi trip data possibly some
212. 36:03analysis mean values as suggested would you like to extract and explore the contents of these files further so
213. 36:10say sure why don't you look at the data determine any interesting Trends within it and then help me visualize those
214. 36:19Trends so I'm giving it a compound request here and why I'm doing that code interpret is is a glimpse
215. 36:30into how these large language models are going to work in the future where they're going to be more like agents on
216. 36:36our behalf right now um chat GPT for the most part is not autonomous and this isn't quite autonomous but I just tell
217. 36:45it hey open up that file and go do some stuff and so what it does is it goes and it does some stuff and then it looks at
218. 36:53what it got and it tells me about it so the data set contains these things da da da and then it says let's start by
219. 37:00visualizing some of these Trends so what did it find it found trip durations and distances passenger count influence
220. 37:07payment types timebase Trends so so again if you don't know anything about data analysis which I do not this opens a Pandora's box of
221. 37:19possibilities if you do know something about data analysis you're going to be really be able to exploit the crap out
222. 37:25of this thing uh um so here's a a scatter plot on trip distance versus fair amount and it it looks like the scale is
223. 37:35off because someone did a thousand trip a three a a three mile, trip through this chart off so so we could tell it to
224. 37:45throw out the uh throw out the anomalous data there and and you'd probably see greater uh influence in distance to to
225. 37:54things but it is to to get these charts like these charts are not in the data it is making these charts it's analyzing
226. 38:02the data it's it's using Matt plot LI or whatever that thing's called the library in Python to make charts and it's doing
227. 38:10that for us so so now it says for a final analysis we can look into the timebase trends of the data including
228. 38:17specific timestamps these could re reveal insights into the busiest hours for taxi trips let's create a Time
229. 38:24series analysis based on pickup time times so 4 in the morning this you know they say New York never sleeps but
230. 38:33apparently around 3:30 they're starting to nap and then you know them wall streeters picking it up early to go hit those financial
231. 38:43markets and then 7 o' is 7 and 8:00 6 6 and 7 o'clock is the is the peak right so when most of America's going to bed
232. 38:54New York City's going out to dinner and then and then they're usually coming home around midnight so so that's code
233. 39:03interpreter I mean it it's just it's just nuts nuts nuts nuts nuts nuts nuts nuts nuts nuts nuts nut nuts um someone else wanted me to show

235. 39:26your prompt history so these are the the prompts I've done in the past um why why do I not have why do I not have an

237. 39:51you're um if you haven't created one of these or used one you might just see an an explore button below chat GPT or you
238. 39:59might see like three or four of these things um I've got a lot of them there cuz I've made a bunch um but if you click on the explore
239. 40:11button you'll you'll get uh a list of gpts and so there's the ones I've created there's some recent ones I've

252. 41:51never built one before I had built some Poots before but Poots are actually like it's it's a bit more like a a low code
253. 42:02or no code kind of thing where you still have to kind of fill in stuff and you have to know what models are they
254. 42:08they've really fixed things up here with chat GPT to make it quite easy so what this is this is called Sin City sipper

257. 42:46holidays and so Sin City sipper recognizes um if you're Advanced or new and it will give you more simple recipes
258. 42:56if you're new it'll give you more complicated recipes if you're Advanced um and then it's the way I wrote it it's
259. 43:03supposed to give you the recipe first and then create an image sometimes it just doesn't and it starts with the
260. 43:11drink first but this GPT generates images of the drinks it's telling you how to make that thing's actually

266. 44:07anything to do with booze but I just I threw a prompt in here that said when you give someone a recipe um send them
267. 44:15to my website and it does it it does it brilliantly um so so anyway so that's what gpts are they're these
268. 44:23customized um versions of chat GPT that have all of the features of chat GPT which you can turn on and off if you
269. 44:30want depending on your thing um but you can just you can you can now share these with the world so you could create one
270. 44:36for your business you could create one um for a project you could create one uh for a group of friends that I I created
271. 44:44one the other day for a screenplay I wrote 30 years ago and I now have I now have a GPT that you can ask about my
272. 44:51screenplay it'll tell you about it and then every time it tells you about a Scene It renders um an image from the storyboard it's
273. 44:59it's wild okay so how do you make these things it is easier than you think you click on create a GPT and it brings you to this
274. 45:15interface okay you got the left hand side which is the let's make this [ __ ] you got the right hand side here's the [ __ ] we
275. 45:23made easy it's a it's a convention in software development and then on the let's make this [ __ ] side you've got the
276. 45:31create Tab and the configure tab if you've ever made a pot a bot on PO this interface is very familiar there's an
277. 45:41you can upload an image you can name your GPT you can write a description about it you put in your prompt in the
278. 45:47case of Po you have to select uh an AI model to use you don't have to do that here um you can put in some some uh
279. 45:56pre-written questions um GPT the these gpts in particular one of the things that makes them very very powerful is
280. 46:06one of them is this thing called knowledge you can upload your own data here so so when I did my screenplay one
281. 46:12I uploaded a PDF of my screenplay here and that's why you can interact with my screenplay you also have access to all
282. 46:19of the capabilities of gp4 web browsing um image generation and code interpreter so what are we doing oh we haven't
283. 46:27decided what we're doing here code interpreter is what I just showed you where it can analyze data you can you
284. 46:32can make that and then there's also actions where you can add um GPT you you can add apis so you can connect your GPT to other
285. 46:42services so maybe you want to pull um an appointment from your Google calendar into the GPT as part of the
286. 46:51thing you can do that by adding actions um I'm not going to going to go into that cuz it's it's it's a bit
287. 46:58complicated and I also haven't done it enough that I'm comfortable like I'll just I'll just screw it up and I don't want to confuse you so

469. 1:19:49so janky and weird like some of them are decent but but I think this one is one like it's just weird right there's not a lot of
470. 1:20:01coherence it's got that weird flashy you know stuff that that you know when you do the the video animations it gets that weird flashy
471. 1:20:12[ __ ] organizations like Netflix and Paramount Studios and Sony and real filmmakers and real producers are going
472. 1:20:20to look at this and many of them are going to dismiss it and that's what happened when when MTV came out in 1981
473. 1:20:28is there there was sort of a 3mon campaign before it came out where there were these weird commercials there was
474. 1:20:33only like I don't know six channels and and there there oh no it was there were more than six cuz cable had come out

476. 1:20:49MTV and then it came out and it was this weird weird TV station that had music that you watched and nobody got it

538. 1:30:50CEO of and we now now have an interactive sales coach um trained on our 50-page sales process document so so
539. 1:30:59they can be quite quite powerful and and literally take minutes to to spin up to create one you just tell it to make it
540. 1:31:10and it does it's pretty it's pretty insane it's per near [Music] insane how many variations of GPT are available um that's actually a really
541. 1:31:24good question let's go let's go talk about that because this is a confusing space right now so you create it yeah exactly well you create

551. 1:33:56about like where are these GPT how like how many gpts are there so the things called gpts are just part of open ai's chat GPT which is the
552. 1:34:13they're sort of the king of the hill hill right now so chat. open.com is the website that's where you get GPT chat
553. 1:34:22GPT 3.5 chat GPT 4 that's where you can make these things called gpts there are a fairly large number of
554. 1:34:33competing companies and competing chat GPT like things called large language models llms and so chat GPT is one of them
555. 1:34:43there are lots of others of them so what I'm going to do right now is I'm going to walk you through nine of them and there's a
556. 1:34:51there's a 10th one that I'll talk about that doesn't sound like it's worth our it's worth putting on these lists so
557. 1:34:59what these lists are that I'm showing you these are kind of the things that I've that that I feel like just because I do this all the
558. 1:35:08time I think are worth you understanding that these things are available and it's actually worth you playing with them and
559. 1:35:16understanding which ones are good at what some of them are connected to the internet some some of them are not some
560. 1:35:22of them are really good at research some of them are better at conversation how do you learn that you just smack your head against the
561. 1:35:32wall I'm sorry you just get curious and you methodically try you know tool after tool so the caveat here is if you're
562. 1:35:43already overwhelmed with chat GPT and you're just trying to figure that thing out just go there this is the market
563. 1:35:50leader right now and and even chat GPT 3.5 the non-paid version is so powerful that you could spend the next year
564. 1:35:58exploring it and not even scratch the surface of it just the nature of what it is is it it is such a
565. 1:36:06deep ocean that there's a lot to explore there if that that said if you're starting to get your head around it and you really want to
566. 1:36:16understand what's coming and what's out there and where the Innovation might happen that's what the this next little piece is about
567. 1:36:26okay um by the way the the other side of this this is just so chat GPT this is sort of the consumer front end of chat
568. 1:36:34GPT there's also a developer backend where you access their API um if you're geeky you probably already know about
569. 1:36:43this but if you if it's something that you want to you know learn about and explore you can uh platform. open.com
570. 1:36:50playground you don't need to go here if if you're if you're new to this stuff if you're not an engineer you don't need to
571. 1:36:56go there you can just go there but that's what that is okay so these guys are the king of the hill right now and
572. 1:37:05and uh as I said at the beginning of the I was going to say broadcast I guess this is a broadcast it's a
573. 1:37:13narrowcast uh it's a it's a Tik Tok live it's a live He's live on on a Tik Tok um Google has a new thing coming out called
574. 1:37:25Gemini which is apparently a chat gp4 competitor no one has caught up to these guys yet which is fascinating to me no
575. 1:37:36one's caught up to these guys so so they're still King of the Hill um okay these are the top four that I would I would pay attention
576. 1:37:47to if I were you so and and by pay attention I mean like go use them now the exception right now grock in the upper right is the Elon musk's
577. 1:37:58uh Twitter enabled chat GPT competitor it was supposed to come out this week I still don't have access to it so it's
578. 1:38:07you have to be uh an ex premium subscriber their $16 a month version and then you're supposed to get access to
579. 1:38:16that I don't have access to it yet but I think they're going to be a player because it incorporates Twitter data
580. 1:38:22into the large language model so so you can get more misinformation faster so that that's the exception it's not there
581. 1:38:29yet but the other three are there and you should go play with them co-pilot is chat gp4 but it's Microsoft's version of it so if you go
582. 1:38:39to copilot microsoft.com it can it's got Vision it can see images it can create images um it can I don't know if it can
583. 1:38:50do um code interpreter but it's but it's built on the gp4 back end so if if you can't get access to chat gp4 because
584. 1:39:02they've they've sort of locked down new accounts for now go to co-pilot and that is gp4 so so that's a good alternative
585. 1:39:12to chat GPT because it's the same base model all right then you have Claude Claude is the closest competitor right
586. 1:39:20now to chat gp4 it's got a really big context window meaning you can put in big prompts and then Bard b.google.r
587. 1:39:29it's not super great but it it's getting better all the time in fact one of the things that Bard has right now is
588. 1:39:36they've indexed all of YouTube so you can ask Bard about YouTube videos and it will uh uh tell you about them so um
589. 1:39:46it's getting better and when Gemini comes out um it's supposed to be really really good so like I said Gemini it there it's a piece in the
590. 1:39:56information uh newsletter that said Gemini was supposed to seek surprise launch next week and and the CEO killed that because
591. 1:40:12apparently it does really poorly with non-english languages and for a for a global company that's probably not a good look
592. 1:40:21all right so those are those four now here's four more um Pi perplexity and po um are all really interesting place so
593. 1:40:29Pi has got an app and it's an app that you can talk to do you have all the links posted anywhere wait when you search for gpts

611. 1:44:29therapist I just got in a fight with my aunt over politics what should I
612. 1:44:44do translation oh my you just had an argument with your aunt I'm so sorry to hear that would you like to tell me what happened
613. 1:44:52yes and you don't need to translate to French anymore we were arguing over politics got it I'm switching to English
614. 1:45:06only mode now arguments over politics can get quite heated I know did you and your aunt disagree on a specific
615. 1:45:12political issue or is it more about your values or ideologies in general well she's an idiot
616. 1:45:27let's see what she does here that's quite the assessment but I'm guessing you're not exactly on the same page then where the two of
617. 1:45:35you so that's pie um then you have perplexity perplexity is really good at research because it brings in citations
618. 1:45:43to web things so one of the fears of large language models is that they hallucinate and they lie and all that
619. 1:45:49sort of [ __ ] so by the way we're up to 26,000 likes you guys are beasts uh perplexity is really good for
620. 1:45:56research po lets you play with lots of different large language models it's a single front end for lots of large
621. 1:46:02language models po also has Bots that are almost identical to gpts and they have a they don't really
622. 1:46:10have a store but they've got a directory which is I guess a store and you can monetize them you can you can monetize
623. 1:46:18your your bots on PO so I think it would actually be if you're building GPT Bots or if you don't have access to GPT 4 and
624. 1:46:26you can't build them you can build them on you could build a poot and put it into Mon monetization mode and start
625. 1:46:34marketing it why not you can also add knowledge to Poots so we don't know who's going to be a winner right now so all of these things
626. 1:46:44are just kind of these janky tools so get to learn them and then llama 2 is a whole world of open source models I
627. 1:46:51actually just installed hand line it's just like two commands in the terminal um and there's explanations on how to do
628. 1:46:59it but it installed a 4.6 gigabyte file on my laptop and I now have wait let me see if I've got it I now have running on my laptop
629. 1:47:11a large language model that sits somewhere between chat GPT 3.5 and chat GPT 4 that just runs locally on my laptop
630. 1:47:21I don't have to send things off to open AI um so pretty pretty remarkable stuff [Music]

635. 1:48:37which is an A A now open-source large language model that anyone can use and anyone can use commercially and um so so I now have
636. 1:48:50this running on my Mac I think it's still running let me see um write a poem about a family argument that ends up with me getting in
637. 1:49:08my uncle's will so there it goes so that's pretty fast
638. 1:49:25that's like somewhere between J chat gbt 3.5 and gp4 speed wise I'm on an M1 Mac laptop not an M1 Pro or Max or anything
639. 1:49:35like that just an M1 thing and it's running that fast the argument began with words so harsh between my uncle and
640. 1:49:43his son they were both too far gone um spoke of things of the past of wrongs done years ago and soon the fight
641. 1:49:53escalated their voices growing low so you know not great and and then apparently it's also got Vision so I can
642. 1:50:03upload an image to this thing so let me go find an image go to desktop we'll get some crazy ass some crazy ass image from
643. 1:50:12one of the Irregulars there's a good one from Ted Ted stay tuned for the AI learning lab so we'll upload that and I'll say okay um describe
644. 1:50:25this image in as much detail as possible we'll see what it does I I've not tried this before but anyway like
645. 1:50:38this is running locally on my machine I do not need an internet connection to use this and so that's that's something
646. 1:50:45that we're going to increasingly see um that that these things are going to get more and more powerful and more
647. 1:50:52and more portable where we'll have them running locally on our phones Samsung just announced the phone that's going to
648. 1:50:58have this built into it so that didn't that doesn't seem to be working let me reset it let me try uploading that image again did it
649. 1:51:13upload I do not know what it did or didn't do uh what is this image oh maybe it takes a little bit longer to do the image analysis we'll
650. 1:51:28just let it sit there for a second repeat that which can you explain what running locally means again
651. 1:51:37okay so when you go to chat GPT so when we run over to chat JP here we are chat JP log [Laughter]
652. 1:51:53[Music] in and they say how can I help you today and I I click on suggest some fun activities and it and it gives me back
653. 1:52:04this answer what's actually happening is when I submit when I hit the return button with that prompt it actually sends that
654. 1:52:15prompt to open AI servers that actually sit on microsof soft Azure and that prompt goes into their machines their machines do all the
655. 1:52:26processing and then spit the answers back right so this is so it's it's effectively two computer systems talking
656. 1:52:33to one another mine and then all that data goes over the Internet processes over there and comes back one of the security concerns
657. 1:52:43about all of these large language models is hey if I send private confidential secure whatever information to open AI
658. 1:52:53are they going to use it for their training or might it be accessible from other people the answer has been yeah yeah pretty
659. 1:53:00much so so the guidance has been don't send sensitive information to chat EBT running something locally means all
660. 1:53:11of what this is doing is happening only on my machine there's a file sitting on my machine that is like the super optimized mini
661. 1:53:22version of the Llama um large language model that meta released I don't know 3 four months ago and the developer Community has been
662. 1:53:33working on making it smaller and smaller Winston the Llama thank you so much sir um squish squish squish squish squish um
663. 1:53:40I think cuno is edible transfer though either because I don't get it so so well hopefully I'm explaining it now so
664. 1:53:50sitting sitting on my computer is this file so when I when I um put in the prompt write me a poem instead of going
665. 1:53:59out to the internet to open ai's computers it just looks at this file on my local computer and gives me the
666. 1:54:07answer right here it that data for me you know uploading this image uh telling it to write me a poem never leaves my
667. 1:54:17computer so that's what running locally means make sense does that make sense although this does not seem to be working um let me reload
668. 1:54:29this so if I say um let's see I have a rash on my
669. 1:54:44private parts what do I do question mark I might not want to put that out on the internet because that might be sensitive
670. 1:54:54or embarrassing so now I'm getting an answer back keep the affected area clean and dry avoid using soap or other
671. 1:55:02irritants right so I now got an answer back that I didn't have to go out on the internet like there there's no chance of
672. 1:55:08what I typed there getting out to the world unless say I was live on Tik Tok but the actual processing of that
673. 1:55:18prompt just happened right on my machine that's what that's what running locally means so it's a pretty big deal
674. 1:55:25that that you can just install this on like a non GPU heavy computer and run it um the the open- source Community has
675. 1:55:35figured out a way to make that thing small enough that you don't need a massive hard drive you don't need a
676. 1:55:42massive processor you don't need a massive $88,000 GPU to run it which is
677. 1:55:56bitching where did I put my watch what time is it it's 9:55 it's 9:55 people it's almost top of the hour
678. 1:56:06what are we up to on the old we're up to 30,000 likes yall are insane so our inter our interactions are
679. 1:56:14accessible if we aren't local they're not really accessible but but open AI basically says we reserve the right to train our data on your
680. 1:56:29[ __ ] and then if you've got your prompt history and chat GPT turned on it is hackable it's not it's not very secure

683. 1:57:02for example I don't know when this was March or April someone from Samsung in Japan put a transcription of a
684. 1:57:13confidential conference call and some proprietary material about a product in chat GPT with their prompt history
685. 1:57:23turned on and they got hacked and somebody got that data um so our interactions are accessible if we aren't
686. 1:57:29local they're not accessible but they are at risk of being accessible um just in general you should not put super
687. 1:57:37sensitive private stuff out there now there's an Enterprise version of chat GPT we don't have access to that yet
688. 1:57:46because you have to I think it's like 10 or 15,000 a month you needs to be your spend with them to get that
689. 1:57:54um but this is why so so when they fired Sam Alman and it and it seemed clear that like the company could potentially
690. 1:58:02fold and chat GPT was very much at risk of like we don't know the future there was a there was a flock of people to
691. 1:58:10open source and and this is why because the the Llama the the ability the ability to run a large language model either
692. 1:58:22locally on your machine or in a what's called a virtual machine in the cloud where you're still sending your data
693. 1:58:33over the internet but you're sending it to an environment that you control right so open and AI can't train on it right
694. 1:58:40because you're running it locally um and you're using you know one of these open- Source models so that's that's that's
695. 1:58:47why to pay attention to that World um if you're not super geeky it doesn't matter right now I would think that within 6 months
696. 1:58:58um it will be really easy someone will come out with the equivalent of you know just like a you download an application
697. 1:59:06you double click it and it runs like chat GPT and it does cool [ __ ] so just just if you're not super geeky just wait

743. 2:08:49GPT and it'll tell you what to do so so the other error I ran into was I needed to have some thing installed on my Mac
744. 2:08:57which I didn't have installed so I I pasted the error in in and it said well you don't have this thing installed so
745. 2:09:05type in this command line and it'll install it so I typed in that command line it installed it and then all the other [ __ ]

885. 2:34:12minutes later you got a fully edited video super impressive really cool that auto magic as we call it the automagic
886. 2:34:19editing has been a major value proposition for storyvine for a decade well the value of automation is going to
887. 2:34:30go to zero because everything's going to be automated no one's going to give a [ __ ] they be like okay yeah you automate
888. 2:34:36video okay doesn't everyone do that now so there's a part of our value proposition that the value drops to zero
889. 2:34:43so so I'm like well okay how do you [ __ ] deal with that there's another part of our value proposition which is
890. 2:34:50human beings telling stories well which in a world of infinite content where people are just dumping
891. 2:34:56[ __ ] out there because they can make it really easily authentic storytelling that feels to me like the value of that
892. 2:35:03goes up so so if I've got these two value propositions for my company right now one goes to zero and one goes up so
893. 2:35:10I need to figure out how do I leverage that thing so so I'm solving for that and then I'm also solving for what we do
894. 2:35:19generates a video file well what else can I make out of that video file well with generative AI I could make things
895. 2:35:27like a YouTube title or a description or a tweet or a blog post or all sorts of things so I'm looking at how do I do story Centric
896. 2:35:40um content creation so so I'm not throwing out a decade's worth of of value I'm augmenting it and I'm hedging
897. 2:35:49for the [ __ ] that's you know going to drop in value so so there's that then we're also just doing things like we're
898. 2:35:56solving for efficiency that there's a way that we we do creative development for the prompting questions that
899. 2:36:04historically took two or three meetings with clients and agencies and a lot of times the agencies would kind of have
900. 2:36:10their heads up their asses and it would just it would just take way too long no one would understand it would just be this awkward weird ass
901. 2:36:17thing and and how we do that is a very particular way so we turned it into an automation where we ask the client two
902. 2:36:26or three questions they answer them we put them into a Google form and 30 seconds later it spits out a set of
903. 2:36:33perfectly written perfectly formatted Story vine approved prompts that we literally then copy and paste into a Word document and just say
904. 2:36:43to the client hey based on the answers that you gave us here's a starting point for these prompts why don't we start
905. 2:36:49here and then edit them and refine them and for the most part we don't have to edit [ __ ] so that cut two days out of a
906. 2:36:57client you know two two hour meetings with lots of people and lots of AA out of the process like gone it's
907. 2:37:08gone so you know that stuff and then nightly here I'm just solving you know someone will come in and go you said
908. 2:37:16that chat jpt would be good for storyboarding how do you actually do that and then I'm like oh [ __ ] I don't know let's go
909. 2:37:28try I mean if if nothing I mean that that's really all this channel is is let's go try and hopefully I inspire people to do

974. 2:47:27and it was chaos like Massachusetts was mass period Florida was fla Utah was Utah they just dropped the H not much of
975. 2:47:38an abbreviation but then the post office said no every state has to have a two capital letter abbreviation and so they
976. 2:47:43convened a crack Squad of abbreviators they assembled a rag tag outfit of Rogues Misfits and Naro Wells how often do well n
