24. 5:09more power because individuals are going to be be able to do a lot more and if individuals can do a lot more then they can start to act like
25. 5:23companies and how do you make business as a sole proprietorship or two or three person company you need to have a network you
26. 5:35need to have a circle of influence a sphere of influence you need to be trusted because here's here's the thing
27. 5:42if the AI can do most of the Tactical work which in three years the AI is going to be able to do most of the
28. 5:49Tactical work what are people going to hire you for trust relationships your thinking your makeup so you got to start building
29. 6:04those relationships now so that's what this channel is and that's what's happening the people that are hanging
30. 6:10out on this channel here and on the Discord for the AI Salon they're starting to build those networks in real time while they're learning
31. 6:20Ai and so there are small Circles of influence starting to overlap and they're growing together and yeah I do think that's the future of

57. 12:05so a little bit about my background I'm an entrepreneur started I don't know dozen companies or so and in the
58. 12:16mid90s I started one of the first digital agencies and so I got to experience what it's like to be at the very
59. 12:27beginning of a technological change that's going to change the world and I didn't think I'd see it again in my lifetime
60. 12:37lifetime are we really alive isn't it just a simulation and then this AI stuff came along
61. 12:53and I immediately knew this is one of those and so I started making videos and then I started doing these lives and
62. 13:08then these lives have kind of take taken on a life of their own and they've turned into a community that operates here and it
63. 13:15operates at the AI Salon which is the the you know community that I'm I'm a part of and I think it's really important I
64. 13:27think it's important for people people to understand their mortality get it and understand Ai and understand what it makes possible and
65. 13:45understand what's coming and understand what's changing and there's no way to understand that from the outside and so I just want as many
66. 13:57people as possible getting Cur curious about this stuff and and playing with it and that's it that's it that's it so
67. 14:07listen you might be wondering what do I do where do I start oh Kyle please tell

71. 15:08talking about it like that you haven't go there and really start playing like play like play like you're on a
72. 15:15playground like you're trying to discover something like get curious one of the the first values of the AI Salon is
73. 15:25curiosity so we want people that are curious so so if you're not curious in this day and age you're missing a lot so get curious go to chat.
74. 15:38open.com and ask it to do [ __ ] try to stump it try to stump it go try to stump chat GPT ask it about something obscure that only you know
75. 15:50about and see how close it gets it'll surprise you your chats are so in insightful do you do recordings of these I do in
76. 16:07fact the YouTube channel is UM at AI learninglab dtt as in Tik Tok and that's the the channel for uh the Youtube channel where I put
77. 16:22all of the recordings of these and you'll even most of the videos there have titles descriptions and chapters
78. 16:29um all of those chapters are done with Claude so the second of these large language models that I talk about is
79. 16:35Claude these two are the biggies right now that I use but Bard and Bing are they're not going anywhere Bard's
80. 16:42probably going to get really good I thought Google was going to release Gemini in October but today's the last
81. 16:49day of October and it didn't happen so we'll see we will see do you ever think gen AI H do you think gen AI has become a
82. 17:01household term yet not even close not even close so let's see let me turn that around
83. 17:16ha no I don't think gen AI so so there was a McKenzie study that came out last week um somewhere between 80 and 90% of
84. 17:31people do not use chat GPT at all like 80% this ain't a household word we're early we're early if you're on this
85. 17:46channel and you're still sitting here with me acting like an idiot well that says more about you than it does about
86. 17:52me but you're way ahead of the game and it's going to serve you well I think it's my personal opinion that anyone that gets curious
87. 18:04that gets AI literate in the next 18 months it has got so much opportunity that people that sit on the sidelines don't have so much
88. 18:16opportunity like unknowable amounts of opportunity how I don't know what's it look like I don't know I don't think it
89. 18:23looks like your current job probably even if you end up staying in your same company if you're the first one to get
90. 18:32AI literate and you start making a name for yourself oh yeah Sher Sherry does that oh oh Chris does that oh yeah no
91. 18:41yeah Jim does that Jim Jim knows about AI he talks about it all the time he's kind of insufferable I don't like talking to
92. 18:48Jim how do you define AI literacy Cindy B yob B nice name I like it um so so important question
93. 19:02Cindy for me AI literacy is not about are you an engineer that understands machine learning and embeddings and
94. 19:12Vector space and the mathematics of AI we're coming up on the one-year anniversary the oneyear anniversary of
95. 19:22chat gbt November 30th is the oneye anniversary so from the way I look at this stuff one year is how old this industry is now
96. 19:36you're like but Kyle ai's been around for decades yep it has just like in the mid 90s the internet had been around for decades and
97. 19:45then Tim burner Lee invents the worldwide web and it changes everything why because instead of it being for researchers and
98. 19:57scientists and engineers to type command lines the rest of us could just click on hyperlinks and if you just click on
99. 20:06hyperlinks you don't need to be an engineer or a scientist or a researcher that's what chat GPT is so what I talk
100. 20:14about being AI literate I'm talking about being literate about chat gbt large language models image generation
101. 20:24tools if you if you're curious about this stuff you will have noticed that in the past month chat gbt went from being
102. 20:32a text thing where you had to no prompting to being a multimodal magic machine that can see images can hear words can say words can
103. 20:49make images can program code can analyze data and that was in the last four weeks all that showed up so
104. 21:04right now being AI literates being curious and adventurous and talking about it talking about it well what do you mean talk about
105. 21:17it well nobody around me likes it talk about it anyway they're going to think I'm weird [ __ ] them but Kyle I'm getting black Ed with
106. 21:28AI and chat GPT stuff now you mean there's [Laughter] more yeah there's more to come Clint we we've this this we have barely
107. 21:45started we've barely started 80% of the people don't use chat GPT ever 80% so let's assume half of them haven't even heard of
108. 22:00it so what's that 40% no it's um I don't know yeah probably 35 40% of the people haven't even heard of cat
109. 22:16GPT and it's likely going to profoundly impact their future and possibly their job they haven't heard of
110. 22:26it and people that hang out here every night the Irregulars oh they are irregular they're irregular they all went through the same
111. 22:39cycle they went through the same cycle I did why this channel exist it's I'm just like I just need to get this [ __ ] out of my
112. 22:47head and then I started sharing it with people and like oh that was really cool I I'm going to go try that now I'm
113. 22:54scared this is scary right yeah it's scary like scarier than Halloween scary and then they come back 3 days
114. 23:03later and like Kyle guess what I did that thing and it was really scary but then it got really fun and now look what
115. 23:10I'm doing I'm like holy [ __ ] go tell people about it and they come back a week later hey Kyle I told people about
116. 23:19it guess what they thought I was a [ __ ] weirdo cool then a month later they come back hey Kyle guess what what
117. 23:28you know those people that thought I was a weirdo they just asked me to give a webinar on AI so these people are are are working through the
118. 23:43uncomfortableness of becoming AI literate AI literate is right now just means you're curious enough to kind of
119. 23:52know what these tools are and where the boundaries are I know people who know what it is but won't try it they are fearful for
120. 24:02some reason just just me and the trees I love your name by the way and you've been in here before so thanks for coming
121. 24:08back um here's why they're fearful I I think there's a lot of there's a lot of layers to this so so the first place I would go if I were you
122. 24:19is empathy go to empathy um and don't try to convince them like no one in a place of fear is ever going to listen to anything you say
123. 24:31about how awesome chat GPT is they won't they're scared for a lot of reasons they're scared cuz Hollywood
124. 24:38told them the robots are going to kill us they're scared because some of their friends feel like they're in a cult like
125. 24:46look at those eyes thank you very much they're scared because for the past 20 or 30 years what they've heard is if you want to be in
126. 24:58artificial intelligence and machine learning you have to be a [ __ ] genius that went to Stanford oh I wish I could quit
127. 25:04you I wish I could quit you they're scared because their friend that was a copywriter just lost their job because
128. 25:15their boss said we only need two people now instead of 10 because of AI and they're afraid that it might be coming for their job
129. 25:24next they're scared because they don't think they're technical enough they don't think they're smart enough they don't think
130. 25:36they're they think they're already behind and they're not Sher bear thank you very much a the gummies so
131. 25:44sweet they're afraid they can't catch up but here's the reality it's just like a Google search box chat GPT is just like a Google search box

135. 26:24can and it's that kind of curiosity and that kind of exploration that's why ion China is going to be in a meeting someday where

359. 1:09:04um there are a lot of different ways you can make Bots you can program your own you can learn programming you can use a
360. 1:09:12tool like zapier which does automations and one of the things that they've added over the summer was a was a thing called
361. 1:09:20uh interfaces I think it's called and one of the interfaces is a bot interface so you can basically make your own website that's a
362. 1:09:29chatbot and then what can you do with that well you can give you can do this with chat GPT with custom instructions or you can use a
363. 1:09:38tool like Po which has a bot maker and so PO is a big infrastructure of lots and lots of bots that people have made I
364. 1:09:46need a graph created with an aim line to enter bi-weekly data throughout the year to measure progress um if it's something that
365. 1:09:57simple you could probably just do that in a spreadsheet and have chat GPT tell you how to set that up in the
366. 1:10:03spreadsheet and if it requires any VB code or anything like that it'll probably just write it for you um or you
367. 1:10:10could use Advanced Data analysis Shauna um where you upload a CSV file to advanc data analysis and just ask it to

379. 1:12:20to play with those you can play with all these here and they've even got some of these some of the fancier ones from the
380. 1:12:27open source Community like solar and mistl um and then if you scroll down here's popular Bots think out loud photo magic Microsoft
381. 1:12:38PowerPoint Photoshop Guru so here's a bot that's a Photoshop expert say like um uh let's see what's the difference between
382. 1:12:55doing a filter on a layer and doing it on an adjustment layer uh uh excellent question when you apply a filter directly on the layer it
383. 1:13:05affects the pixels on that specific layer only you're basically making so you know this understands Photoshop cool
