5:27 you make business as a sole
5:31 proprietorship or two or three person
5:33 company you need to have a network you
5:35 need to have a circle of influence a
5:38 sphere of influence you need to be
5:39 trusted because here's here's the thing
5:42 if the AI can do most of the Tactical
5:46 work which in three years the AI is
5:48 going to be able to do most of the
5:49 Tactical work what are people going to
5:51 hire you for
5:54 trust
5:56 relationships your
5:58 thinking your
6:03 makeup so you got to start building
6:05 those relationships now so that's what
6:07 this channel is and that's what's
6:09 happening the people that are hanging
6:10 out on this channel here and on the

6:17 networks in real time while they're

12:09 background I'm an
12:11 entrepreneur started I don't know dozen
12:14 companies or so and in the
12:17 mid90s I started one of the first
12:19 digital agencies and so I got to
12:23 experience what it's like to be at the
12:26 very
12:28 beginning of a technological change
12:31 that's going to change the
12:33 world and I didn't think I'd see it
12:35 again in my lifetime
12:38 lifetime are we really alive isn't it
12:41 just a
12:44 simulation and then this AI stuff came
12:47 along
12:54 and I immediately knew this is one of
12:58 those and
13:00 so I started making videos and then I
13:04 started doing these
13:06 lives and
13:08 then these lives have kind of take taken
13:11 on a life of their own and they've
13:12 turned into a
13:14 community that operates here and it
13:16 operates at the AI Salon which is the
13:19 the you know community that I'm I'm a
13:23 part
13:25 of and I think it's really important I
13:28 think it's important for people people
13:29 to
13:31 understand their
13:33 mortality get
13:35 it
13:38 and understand Ai and
13:41 understand what it makes possible and
13:45 understand what's coming and understand
13:48 what's
13:50 changing and there's no way to
13:52 understand that from the
13:55 outside and so I just want as many
13:57 people as possible getting Cur curious
13:59 about this stuff and and playing with
14:02 it and that's
14:04 it that's it that's it so

15:57 gets it'll surprise you your chats are

16:15 dtt as in Tik Tok and that's the the
16:18 channel
16:19 for uh the Youtube channel where I put
16:22 all of the recordings of these and
16:24 you'll even most of the videos there
16:26 have titles descriptions and chapters
16:29 um all of those chapters are done with
16:31 Claude so the second of these large
16:34 language models that I talk about is
16:36 Claude these two are the biggies right
16:37 now that I use but Bard and Bing are
16:41 they're not going anywhere Bard's
16:43 probably going to get really good I
16:45 thought Google was going to release
16:46 Gemini in October but today's the last
16:50 day of October and it didn't happen so
16:52 we'll
16:54 see we will see do you ever think gen AI
16:59 H do you think gen AI has become a
17:02 household term yet not even close not
17:05 even
17:06 close
17:08 so let's see let me turn that
17:15 around
17:17 ha no I don't think gen AI so so there
17:21 was a McKenzie study that came out last
17:25 week
17:27 um
17:29 somewhere between 80 and 90% of
17:32 people do not use chat GPT at
17:37 all like
17:40 80% this ain't a household word we're
17:43 early we're early if you're on this
17:46 channel and you're still sitting here
17:48 with me acting like an idiot well that
17:51 says more about you than it does about
17:53 me but you're way ahead of the
17:56 game and it's going to serve you well I
17:59 think it's my personal
18:01 opinion that anyone that gets curious
18:05 that gets AI literate in the next 18
18:09 months it has got so much opportunity
18:13 that people that sit on the sidelines
18:15 don't have so much
18:17 opportunity like unknowable amounts of
18:20 opportunity how I don't know what's it
18:22 look like I don't know I don't think it
18:24 looks like your current job
18:27 probably
18:29 even if you end up staying in your same
18:31 company if you're the first one to get
18:33 AI literate and you start making a name
18:34 for yourself oh yeah Sher Sherry does

18:41 yeah Jim does that Jim Jim knows about
18:44 AI he talks about it all the time he's
18:45 kind of insufferable I don't like

19:02 Cindy for me AI literacy is not about
19:07 are you an engineer that understands
19:09 machine learning and embeddings and
19:12 Vector space and the mathematics of
19:17 AI we're coming up on the one-year
19:19 anniversary the oneyear anniversary of
19:23 chat gbt November 30th is the oneye
19:26 anniversary so from the way I look at
19:29 this stuff one
19:33 year is how old this industry is now
19:36 you're like but Kyle ai's been around
19:38 for decades yep it
19:40 has just like in the mid 90s the
19:43 internet had been around for decades and
19:45 then Tim burner Lee invents the
19:47 worldwide
19:49 web
19:51 and it changes everything why because
19:55 instead of it being for researchers and
19:57 scientists and engineers to type command
19:59 lines the rest of us could just click on
20:04 hyperlinks and if you just click on
20:06 hyperlinks you don't need to be an
20:09 engineer or a scientist or a researcher
20:12 that's what chat GPT is so what I talk
20:15 about being AI literate I'm talking
20:17 about being literate
20:19 about chat gbt large language models
20:22 image generation
20:25 tools if you if you're curious about
20:27 this stuff you will have noticed that in
20:30 the past month chat gbt went from being
20:33 a text thing where you had to no
20:36 prompting to being a
20:40 multimodal magic
20:43 machine that can see
20:45 images can hear words can say words can
20:50 make images can program code can analyze
20:57 data and that was in the
21:00 last four weeks all that showed up so
21:04 right now being AI literates being
21:06 curious and adventurous and talking
21:09 about
21:11 it talking about
21:13 it well what do you mean talk about
21:17 it well nobody around me likes it talk
21:22 about it anyway they're going to think
21:24 I'm weird [ __ ]
21:26 them but Kyle I'm getting black Ed with
21:29 AI and chat GPT stuff now you mean
21:31 there's

21:46 started we've barely started 80% of the
21:48 people don't use chat GPT
21:53 ever
21:56 80% so let's assume half of them haven't
21:58 even heard of

22:10 know yeah probably 35 40% of the
22:13 people haven't even heard of cat
22:17 GPT and it's likely going to profoundly
22:20 impact their
22:22 future and possibly their
22:24 job they haven't heard of
22:27 it and people that hang out here every
22:29 night the Irregulars oh they are

22:37 irregular they all went through the same
22:39 cycle they went through the same cycle I
22:41 did why this channel exist it's I'm just
22:43 like I just need to get this [ __ ] out of

22:47 head and then I started sharing it with
22:49 people and like oh that was really cool
22:52 I I'm going to go try that now I'm
22:54 scared this is scary right yeah it's

23:19 it guess what they thought I was a

23:23 cool then a month later they come back

23:29 you know those people that thought I was
23:30 a weirdo they just asked me to give a
23:32 webinar on
23:36 AI so these people are are
23:41 are working through the
23:43 uncomfortableness of becoming AI
23:47 literate AI literate is right now just
23:50 means you're curious enough to kind of
23:53 know what these tools are and where the
23:55 boundaries
23:56 are I know people who know what it is
24:00 but won't try it they are fearful for
24:03 some reason just just me and the trees I
24:05 love your name by the way and you've
24:06 been in here before so thanks for coming

24:13 fearful I I think there's a lot of
24:16 there's a lot of layers to this so so
24:18 the first place I would go if I were you
24:19 is empathy go to
24:21 empathy um and don't try to convince
24:25 them
24:26 like no one in a place of fear is ever
24:30 going to listen to anything you say
24:32 about how awesome chat GPT is they
24:35 won't they're scared for a lot of
24:37 reasons they're scared cuz Hollywood
24:38 told them the robots are going to kill
24:41 us they're scared because some of their
24:44 friends feel like they're in a cult like
24:47 look at those eyes thank you very
24:51 much they're scared because for the past
24:55 20 or 30 years what they've heard is if
24:57 you want to be in
24:58 artificial intelligence and machine
25:00 learning you have to be a [ __ ] genius
25:02 that went to Stanford oh I wish I could
25:04 quit

25:08 you they're scared
25:11 because their friend that was a
25:13 copywriter just lost their job because
25:16 their boss said we only need two people
25:18 now instead of 10 because of AI and
25:21 they're afraid that it might be coming
25:22 for their job
25:24 next they're scared because
25:29 they don't think they're technical
25:30 enough they don't think they're smart
25:31 enough they don't think
25:37 they're they think they're already
25:39 behind and they're not Sher bear thank

1:08:49 really a chatbot it's kind of like an

1:08:59 that you can talk to it and you can ask

1:09:05 um there are a lot of different ways you
1:09:07 can make Bots you can program your own
1:09:10 you can learn programming you can use a
1:09:12 tool like zapier which does automations
1:09:16 and one of the things that they've added
1:09:17 over the summer was a was a thing called
1:09:21 uh interfaces I think it's called and
1:09:23 one of the interfaces is a bot interface
1:09:26 so you can basically make your own
1:09:28 website that's a
1:09:30 chatbot and then what can you do with
