7. 1:27these other things are alternatives to that they're the guys that started all this nonsense and these guys are all either
8. 1:39competitors or investors in that um what laptop do you use I use a MacBook Pro 20 20 something
9. 1:5616 inch mid 2021 2021 mid pandemic um so if you've never played with chat GPT before you really do owe it to yourself to go there and play
10. 2:10um and then bing.com that's Microsoft's version of chat Claude is a competitor to gpt4 it's got some really interesting
11. 2:18stuff Poe lets you play with six different large language models and Bard is Google's entry into the mix and Bard's getting much much better
12. 2:29um if you know nothing about prompting you know nothing about what these tools are go to prompts.chat that thing down
13. 2:35below that'll teach you how to do that how to talk to these machines and it'll inspire you to some ideas
14. 2:42and uh yeah and as as we get people in here um just go start playing with that stuff let's see if you've got questions about

16. 3:06um I guess by DNA like I've been doing it since I was a kid some version of it or other and uh I moved to New York City out of school
17. 3:15started and ran a theater company which is very entrepreneurial because nobody wants another play so so you gotta gotta spin it up yourself
18. 3:25um then I wrote a bunch of screenplays then in the mid 90s I started one of the first digital agencies a company called agency.com and
19. 3:35one of the reasons I am like high on crack with this AI stuff is it very much reminds me of the early days of the world wide web and
20. 3:47um I had an epiphany about the World Wide Web I thought [ __ ] this is going to change everything in fact the world's
21. 3:52just changed it's just that no one knows it yet that was the Epiphany I had in 1994 is that everything was going to be
22. 3:58different and and it turns out it it did it it was one of those and this feels bigger than that and it
23. 4:06feels like it's coming faster than that so uh Matthew out it's an awesome shirt very stylish I still love you like everyone
24. 4:16loves you and yeah I you know I I love love is a strong word I think I think people May hopefully enjoy the uh enjoy

29. 4:58this stuff's actually important enough that I'm going to come here and talk about generative Ai and what you can do with
30. 5:05it and answer any questions I can and share what I'm learning and holy crap are things moving fast in this space so
31. 5:11can AI suggest Lotto numbers of course it can will they win no hey what is it your chances your chances
32. 5:21of getting struck by lightning six times and surviving or higher than winning the lotto I think it's it's some stupid
33. 5:27crazy ass stat like that but sure it can pick them just a suggestion wear darker tops hard to read the text I know I might go
34. 5:40change my shirt I thought it might be it might be okay all right I think I'll go do that let's see look at the
35. 5:55Papa okay let me go change my shirt let me go put on a darker shirt Chachi BT and Bard are both really biased yeah
36. 6:04yeah they are maybe how you prompt them is also biased but if you don't like how they're trained go to claude.ai
37. 6:14that's by a company called anthropic that uses what's called a constitutional learning model it's not human reinforced
38. 6:19learning so the bias that you uh seem to be a little fear in uh shouldn't be as bad when you've got the model that's
39. 6:32just following a set of known rules that you can either agree with or not I'll be right back I'm gonna change my shirt

49. 9:03absolutely there's a lot going on in the Denver music scene this week there are some great concerts and performances
50. 9:10happening as well as some excellent local bands and musicians playing at various venues around the city I can
51. 9:16give you a rundown of some of the highlights if you'd like are you interested in hearing about the big
52. 9:20concerts and performances or the smaller local stuff or both hmm you know never mind the music can you tell me about a local Denver company

60. 10:39and weird and there's still that that odd delay the delay is not bad it's it's probably about a second or so
61. 10:46but that's not only pulling from the large language model but it's also connected to the internet so it's pulling pulling real-time data
62. 10:54um and and that's uh inflection is the name of the company inflection Ai and they're the ones that just raised 1.3 billion dollars
63. 11:05for the series B 1.3 billion dollars but Kyle there must be a decade-old company correct oh no they're a year old 1.3 billion dollars
64. 11:19and they're probably going to raise probably another 10. they're they're looking to um build a an AI supercluster of twenty
65. 11:28thousand h100 gpus fun so um so they're not even on this list right so they probably should be on this list
66. 11:40but I'm running out of room like I ain't got room so uh Chaturbate and Bart are both really biased Merlin you should actually you
67. 11:50know I would encourage you go to prompts.chat and do what you can if if you don't if you haven't played with these things a lot
68. 11:57um I would encourage you to go to prompts.chat see if you can get them to act like um personas that are you know on the
69. 12:06other side of whatever bias you think they have um and see if you can get them to behave better um because it's it's not just part of
70. 12:15the perception is these things are just copying and pasting it's not really like that the other thing I would say is go
71. 12:19try claude.ai because it's it's trained on a constitutional learning model um and that may have a different uh
72. 12:28a different set of leanings that may be more to your liking and I think in the future what we're going to have is we're
73. 12:34going to be able to opt into different models I mean it's already starting to happen where um Bard I actually discovered something
74. 12:42about Bard I think it was on last night's live where I discovered it this morning it's now incorporating links
75. 12:48into its results with images it's actually really cool I'll show that um I think what's going to start
76. 12:54happening is we'll we'll use different models for different things so if you want a fully unbiased you know kind of
77. 13:00model then you know go play with the open source models but I think what we'll do is is we'll kind of opt into
78. 13:05different things that have different strengths moving forward um yes it's my favorite show thank you very much moon landing reel yes we

89. 15:01internet access I asked it about the Taylor Swift concert in Denver and it knew about it and I asked it do you have you know are
90. 15:08you connected to the internet and I ask it about news stories and it has news stories it still hallucinates they all
91. 15:13still hallucinate so if you don't know these things what hallucinating is is it just lies it confidence it doesn't just
92. 15:20lie it confidently answers you even if it's wrong I like to call it mansplaining as a service hi welcome to chatgpt I'm full of [ __ ]

104. 17:29like I want non-fiction business books about I don't know the future of AI or whatever and it would suggest some books and then
105. 17:36it would give me synopsis of the of the books and then I would tell it which one I liked and then we were actually having
106. 17:42a conversation about the book so it was like a reading club but I didn't have to read I could tell pie to synopsize the
107. 17:48book for me give me the the big takeaways and then anything I wanted to dig deeper on I could dig deeper on and
108. 17:55if I get bored I could just say uh give me another four books or five books or whatever and it would do that
109. 18:01um and I was doing that in the car it's it's pretty it's pretty slick it's pretty slick thing and then there's also someone brought up on
110. 18:10um last night's live or the the night before there's a site called air.ai and yeah air.ai and that is um
111. 18:23like like these these kind of bots like I just played for you um except they're making outbound sales
112. 18:30calls or they're taking inbound customer service calls which we talked about like at the beginning of the week I said
113. 18:36here's a business to start you know replace all of the phone trees with AI Bots that just answer the phone and know
114. 18:43everything about the company and can help you and you never have to be on hold again and then four days later
115. 18:50someone goes have you checked out air.ai and that's what it is and there was I saw a tick tock today where where it was
116. 18:57one of the air.ai sales people it just called the dude and he picked up and it had that weird pause in it which you
117. 19:06know for me I couldn't if someone called me and there was that pause like that I'd be like this is a [ __ ] bot click
118. 19:11uh but this guy didn't know it was a bot and it was the guy was like you know the bot was like Hey I'm so-and-so from
119. 19:17Tesla and you know are you thinking about getting a new car have you thought about a Tesla and the guy's like yeah I
120. 19:23love Tesla I'm a big fan of Elon Musk and that and and so the the whole Tick Tock video was the recording of this
121. 19:29back and forth with the bot and the guy that didn't know it was a bot and in the end the bot ends up making an
122. 19:35appointment for that guy to go test drive a Tesla at his local dealership so Goku Goku for Cocoa Puffs did you see
123. 19:46errors doing customer service for Tesla scheduled appointments oh that's what I just talked about that's funny
124. 19:51um Gen X icon what's the Gen X icon is it an X or is it just like some bitter dude bitter dude like flipping off some
125. 20:01Millennial [ __ ] you millennials Boomers can suck my ass I I don't know the Gen X icon oh yeah it's the chief generative officer hey
126. 20:12bear what's happening what stocks would you recommend I have a degree in acting don't take investing advice from me but come to these lives
127. 20:20and pay attention to the companies that I'm paying attention to and I don't know see see which ones make this list this

142. 23:09make them better is that true and why does that work so I've got a buddy that's got a minimalist running shoe company
143. 23:24and so he and I have been talking for months and months about you know what's the value of SEO and what's even the value
144. 23:32of websites if you can get all of your information in line in you know in context of something so this says there's some
145. 23:39evidence that minimalist running shoes can help improve knee pain um they're designed to provide less cushioning and support that gives more
146. 23:47feedback to the muscles okay and then it gives you know however you know see a doctor so then if I go um
147. 23:59what are some minimalist shoe companies you'd recommend check this out
148. 24:14so Google is now putting in line um so there's my buddy's company zero shoes they're putting pictures like you know website previews
149. 24:29the name of the site a description of the company so zero shoes is an American company founded in 2009 they offer a
150. 24:37variety of Minimalist Shoes if you click on it it takes you to xeroshoes.com um this is some pretty good [ __ ] Bing doesn't do this
151. 24:49Chachi BT certainly doesn't do this they disconnected it from the internet I mean it's really fascinating that you know
152. 24:57Chachi BT clearly is dealing with some corporate issues and some legal issues and some uh engineering issues with their with
153. 25:06their connectedness to the internet but Bing is just fine but Bing is adding things like the ability to read images the ability to
154. 25:15create images which Chachi PT hasn't done so Bing is starting to get a little bit better than Chachi BT Bard was a laughable joke for a long
155. 25:24time and all of a sudden it's um looking pretty good and now it added that feature which even Bing's not doing
156. 25:33and then you've got claude.ai which is um you can upload PDF files to it and start interacting with them you can
157. 25:42um it's got a hundred thousand token 100 000 token context Windows like a 75 000 word context window so you you've now
158. 25:51got major competitors in that thing I've shown before Pi you can just talk to it and it talks back so we're we're
159. 26:00entering a new phase this is clearly a new phase because if you've been coming to these lives for a bit
160. 26:05um there was only three things on this list for a month and a half two months something like that so hello Joy
161. 26:15Tyler Johnson uh Leonardo is now doing automatic whitelists oh that's great wait is now doing automatic whitelist
162. 26:23meaning if you sign up you automatically get in is that what you mean Tyler I think Saturday then Saturday Saturday
163. 26:29Night Live Weekend Update will be catchy PT PT uh I don't know what you mean Matthew should I quit my job and research this
164. 26:39for the next two years um I don't think you need to research it for the next two years I would say start playing with it tonight
165. 26:49get curious get adventurous go to these places if you haven't go to prompts.chat start generating images um you can keep your day job while
166. 26:59you're learning this stuff what I would strongly recommend is get AI literate this kind of AI um learn automations with tools like zapier
167. 27:10learn how to prompt these things learn which ones are strong at what because these have they have very different strengths now
168. 27:19um learn mid Journey learn stable diffusion Leonardo that was just mentioned um which is built on top of stable
169. 27:26diffusion if you're geeky learn Lang chain learn Auto GPT the autonomous agents are going to be a thing
170. 27:34uh uh and then yeah just start taking what you know and what you're good at what you're passionate at and figure out
171. 27:42how to do all of those things with these tools and let let these tools amplify what you want to do and then I think it'll be
172. 27:50clear what you end up doing from a job perspective and and and things like that if if you just ignore these things then
173. 27:57uh the decision may be made for you and that's one of the things I'm trying to prevent here hello Professor Sonia thank

197. 31:38um it's very much written to like you know be engaging in a in a human kind of empathetic way um it's cleverly programmed and and I
198. 31:48mean if this is the if this is the pre 1.3 billion dollar version of their tool like what's this thing gonna be when it
199. 31:58gets big I actually had a good conversation I asked that um you know are you gonna get a face are you gonna get like a talking face and it
200. 32:06said well don't you think that might be distracting sometimes I said yeah it might be distracting then we went back
201. 32:11and forth and we talked about how you could have you know different AI assistants for different roles and
202. 32:18different modes and then those you know maybe if you've got one that's talking about dating you do want to see a face
203. 32:23and interact with a person but if you're talking with one about doing your taxes you just want to hear it right or just
204. 32:29want to see the numbers and and you know hear it talking over it something like that so uh Bing is annoying to use can be these
205. 32:37these could all be annoying to use um I I would say is it annoying because um you're not sure what you're trying to do
206. 32:47with it or is it annoying because you know what you want to do and you're not getting it and then in that case
207. 32:54how are you how are you doing at learning prompting because right now you have to be pretty good at at the particular kind of English
208. 33:04language gymnastics to get these things to give you good results so bow all right what number voice are you using oh new

214. 34:18so this is going to go off and make make a world we can spin around twirl around in um

222. 35:57code interpreter at chat EBT is available for everyone but claude.ai and bard well Bart you can upload images to
223. 36:08Claude you can upload PDFs and csvs too code interpreter you can upload almost anything to Bing you can upload images to PO you can
224. 36:22upload a bunch of stuff I don't know what so so they're all now starting to get this capability of you know not only can
225. 36:30you interrogate the large language model you can start to put your stuff in there and start interacting with that
226. 36:38what is the book AI you spoke about I just joined love reading the book AI oh I was talking about Pi okay so we'll go do it here

235. 38:26is near spot on Ray Kurzweil is indeed the author of The Singularity is near when humans transcend biology
236. 38:42is a futurist and inventor who is known for his work on Art so anyway so so what hit me was because it knows books
237. 38:49because it can synopsize them like I I feel like like what if we move like no not what if we are moving into a world where I can
238. 39:04choose whether I want a linear story story or an interactive one right so I could just say I don't feel like learning
239. 39:13about books today you you go tell me some interesting ones and then I'll pick one that's interesting and then you
240. 39:18synopsize it for me and if I keep finding it interesting then I'll ask you questions about it and then you'll tell
241. 39:24me questions about it so I could I could run deep down one book and start interacting with that and learning about

492. 1:18:57probably worth it it's a full-on data analyst and and the way it works is you upload a file to it and it analyzes the
493. 1:19:05file so you can upload a big data file like a series of CSV files in a in a in a zip in a zip archive it will write the python code to open
494. 1:19:15the zip archive it'll write the python code to read all the files it will it will throw the um the data into its own data sheet and
495. 1:19:25start analyzing it it'll write code to do charts and graphs it's [ __ ] Insanity it's just I have no idea I know
496. 1:19:33nothing about data analytics but I've played with it just a little bit and it's insane so gpt4 is the best code interpreters and

519. 1:23:14a whole 40 000 word novel and have an editing session with it where it's read the whole novel and it'll give you
520. 1:23:22feedback on either specific sections or the whole thing or it'll help you reorder it you know you could go you could go in
521. 1:23:29and you could say here's a novel that I wrote and then you could say give me the outline of it then you could have it
522. 1:23:36reorder the outline change six of the different different chapters and then have it rewrite the entire novel to
523. 1:23:42match the new outline like that's the kind of thing you could do with Claude or yeah with Claude um the other thing that I like about
524. 1:23:50Claude is from a company called anthropic which has got this thing called the Constitutional learning model
525. 1:23:55which just basically it just feels like the future to me for how these um models are fine-tuned then you've got popo.com and what's cool

574. 1:32:30have it help you write descriptions of properties um have it help you pull comps if you go to um Bart is connected to the internet
575. 1:32:40Bing is connected to the internet so you can go get comps for neighborhoods have it help you write neighborhood descriptions
576. 1:32:47um have it help you write personalized emails to your prospects um have it like just like so okay let's let's flip this
