22:59 on weekends and do it in six
23:02 months while I'm running a business
23:05 while I'm doing live AI shows while I'm
23:07 doing this while I'm doing
23:10 that there's an absolute mental
23:14 gearshift that
23:17 that if you wanna if you want to really
23:20 take advantage of
23:26 AI um what's
23:29 this like an AA meeting this is like
23:31 you've you've got to accept that you are
23:34 the
23:35 bottleneck that you're not the brilliant
23:38 one what you can do is be the one
23:41 brilliant enough to tell it what to do
23:45 and then let it go make a hundred
23:46 [ __ ] things or a thousand things or
23:49 do like not just a a Broadway musical
23:52 but also do it as a series of music
23:55 videos and also do it as a children's
23:57 book and also do it as all that sort of
23:59 stuff right did you use AI with that
24:02 script yeah in fact so so a big part of
24:07 um what Sydney's about I mean what what
24:12 what this musical is about wait where is
24:14 it where where's my camera um wait oh
24:19 there it is oh except you can't see it
24:21 on oh because I don't have it there well
24:23 I'm holding it up to most of the people
24:26 what Sydney is about is about human
24:29 human relationships with AI and so yeah
24:32 we the the initial song that inspired
24:36 this musical came from sunno the I think
24:40 I think it was on the live that I
24:42 actually started the outline of the
24:43 script I knew what I wanted the elements
24:45 of the story to be um I spent
24:51 probably a month just with myself and AI
24:55 writing songs in sunno in yudo and
24:58 putting into this form and then I asked
25:01 Andrew to help me and then he and I have
25:02 been collaborating on it for six months
25:04 to get the the book in
25:06 Order um while we're doing additional
25:09 songs and things like that and putting
25:11 together marketing materials um so yeah
25:14 it's it's Chuck full of AI but it's like
25:18 if you were to ask me what percentage of
25:20 this play at this point is
25:23 AI for the book itself probably
25:27 10% for the songs right now
25:31 probably 80% the rest is like us mucking
25:35 with the lyrics and really mucking with
25:36 the songs and and editing them and sunno
25:39 and things like that and by the time we
25:41 get to workshops we'll have a music
25:43 director involved so that'll probably be
25:45 down to more like 50 or
25:47 60% um and quite frankly I don't care
25:52 where the bound like I don't care what
25:53 that percentage is yeah we you like this
25:58 this project would not even exist in the
26:00 world I would never have considered I
26:03 haven't thought about writing something
26:05 for the theater in 2 years I moved to
26:09 New York City out of school I ran I
26:11 started and ran a theater company for
26:12 four and a half years I wrote seven
26:14 screenplays I was fully committed to a
26:16 life in the Arts then I got tired of
26:18 being poor and I started a company and
26:19 then I started another one and I started
26:20 another one so I've for the last 25
26:22 years I've been you know starting and
26:24 running
26:25 companies and had it not been for AI the
26:28 idea for this wouldn't have existed the
26:31 ability for me to write a song that was
26:34 good enough that I went huh that sounds
26:36 like the end of the First Act of a
26:38 Broadway musical holy [ __ ] this needs to
26:40 be a musical like it it would not have
26:44 existed the idea of
26:47 it had it not been for AI so yeah

36:29 ideas go into mid Journey or go into
36:31 sunno and just generate 100 ideas and
36:34 then spend an hour curating it spend an
36:39 hour going like okay I love these I like
36:42 the colors in this one but I like this
36:44 concept okay let me go mix these in fact
36:47 let me grab this and this and we'll use
36:49 those as input images like you can use
36:52 this as a starting off point
36:55 to come up with lots of sexy ideas it's
36:59 a really really interesting I like that
37:01 term bulk
37:03 creativity is day five going to be the
37:06 gold the gold ring of chat G of GPT 5
37:09 we'll see we'll see uh Sam Alman said
37:12 that the 12 days some are going to be
37:14 stocking stuffers right so that might
37:16 just be like um advanced voice can now
37:19 use the internet might be a stocking
37:21 stuffer gp5 would be a big present 01 um
37:26 not preview that's connected Ed you know

37:30 voice attached to it would be a big deal
37:34 launching operators their agent

38:39 launched yet so that' be Dolly 4 if they
38:41 call it that I would think they might
38:44 not call it that because I think it's a
38:45 very different I think how it generates
38:47 images is very different but I don't
38:48 know longer memory would be a huge one
38:52 um realtime Vision so that's you can
38:55 turn on the camera while
38:59 uh while I guess while
39:03 40 is oh no while you're in voice while

1:39:41 he's got this acting studio and he he he

1:39:55 me and so he introduced me to one of his
1:39:58 students um who's a Broadway actress and
1:40:00 so I met with her today and she's like
1:40:02 she's I she feels like the perfect
1:40:04 person to know right now because she's
1:40:07 she's been in four Broadway shows all
1:40:09 four of them started as a workshop and
1:40:12 then evolved into a Broadway show and
1:40:14 she went with all four of them four out
1:40:16 of four she wasn't replaced on the
1:40:18 journey to Broadway so that's a good
1:40:20 sign um and so we talked for like an
1:40:22 hour and hit it off and um she knows a
1:40:26 lot of people and so we're going to put
1:40:28 together um a workshop and try to get a
1:40:32 music director and try to get producers
1:40:34 and all that sort of [ __ ] so and that's
1:40:37 that's in New York city so we're just
1:40:39 gonna [ __ ] go for it rather than
1:40:41 start in a regional theater and try to
1:40:42 work our way way up like [ __ ] it why not

2:04:38 thought oh maybe I should do that and
2:04:39 that was what gave me the idea to go
2:04:41 make the lyrics and I said let me try to
2:04:43 do some like deger types from the Civil
2:04:46 War brought to life funny YouTube
2:04:48 comment do you ever do you ever sleep
2:04:52 I I don't sleep enough but I don't need
2:04:54 a lot of sleep so um but
2:04:58 anyway so you can so what you do is you
2:05:01 promp like this was the initial set of
2:05:03 prompts and then it gives you four
2:05:05 Images I wanted I wanted people shocked
2:05:07 in battle and it made them kind of
2:05:09 comically bad they're they're like all
2:05:12 of their expressions are just really bad
2:05:15 they're just all like these are
2:05:16 completely unusable shots it would be
2:05:18 this would be good for some you know
2:05:20 horror flick of the War but but you know
2:05:24 not good but but then you can very
2:05:26 quickly iterate you can turn them into
2:05:28 videos I was like you know could could
2:05:30 we make any of these usable I was like
2:05:32 nah not really um and then I just kept
2:05:35 going down and like you know that was a
2:05:37 shot I was like that's actually kind of
2:05:39 interesting so we turned that into a
2:05:41 video um and then you know just kept
2:05:43 rolling and rolling and rolling and I
2:05:45 did all of these shots there's probably
2:05:49 40 or 50 shots in that final video
2:05:52 there's probably I don't know 200 images
2:05:54 and 100 videos that I made to be able to
2:05:58 grab those 40 shots um so anyway yeah it
2:06:01 allows you to really really quickly
2:06:02 ideate but so interface makes a
