45. 9:15much um let me go see let me go to LinkedIn see what David Shapiro said because I thought what he wrote was actually
46. 9:23spoton I got to do this I'm going to have to go away and do my 17 Factor authentication hold please all right here's here's something do you
47. 9:35guys have this this anxiety so um so in the new in the new 17 Factor authentication where it's like um go to
48. 9:46your phone and then you go to your phone and it pops up a screen that it's like yes let me in no that's not me I have a
49. 9:53similar anxiety with with that thing as I do when someone's approaching the elevator and I go to hit the the doors
50. 9:59open button and I can't decipher the the icons on the buttons fast enough to know which one's open and which one's closed
51. 10:07and if you hit the wrong one you're going to close it in their face I have a similar kind of anxiety when the thing
52. 10:13comes up about yes that's me no that's not me what if I hit the wrong one I'll be banned forever it's really funny it's
53. 10:20just [ __ ] modern technology man it's just uh just wacky just wacky I someone's got to read design the elevator open and closed door Arrow
54. 10:32things because if you can take 38 seconds to decipher them you can figure out which one's which but when someone's
55. 10:41coming at you and you're like hold it I'll get this for you and then you're like oh [ __ ] what do I do like like they just it's just all

62. 12:23said here it is as much as I want to give open AI the benefit of the out they continuously disappoint in the most
63. 12:31boneheaded ways I went to check on my gpts which I shared publicly they shared both my full legal name as well as my
64. 12:39personal email address open AI what the actual hell do you have any Consultants with the slightest inkling of privacy
65. 12:48and safety I have been forced to delete all of my gpts from their store for a company constantly touting that they
66. 12:55want to align AGI with human values they don't seem to understand the most basic value of privacy my response to it was the
67. 13:05transition from research lab to Consumer software company has got to be a beast but these basic security issues combined
68. 13:12with the incompleteness of the GPT store is disappointing indeed open AI has to get their crap together they're going to
69. 13:18destroy the massive Goodwill they've built over the past year so yeah yeah this listen this is what happens man
70. 13:26when you when you put yourself in the uh in the public sphere um it's you you you get it's it's just like at the crafts
71. 13:38table you sort up or you're down you're up or you're down and uh you got to keep it going man cuz cuz people you can lose
72. 13:47trust really really fast if it's if this stuff stays too janky for too long they they'll lose customers and what it what what it really
73. 13:56does is it um it opens a door for Google and apple and and anyone else that wants to come in claw right anthropic anthropic is a
74. 14:10bunch of EX open AI people that didn't like the way they were doing you know safety and Alignment that went off to do their own
75. 14:21thing if they had their marketing hats on over at anthropic they would be trolling open AI right now but suppose
76. 14:29they want to be on good graces with them but they should go if you want a company that actually cares about safety and privacy come to
77. 14:36us so wild so what do you recommend to people who have set up public gpts um I don't know I mean I don't I don't know the details of
78. 14:52they shared both my full legal name as well as as my personal email address I don't know what that actually means like
79. 14:59did he jailbreak it and they shared it did they share it through like some hyperlink that you could just hyperlink
80. 15:05to it so I don't know I don't know enough about the details um I have always said if you're going to put a GPT
81. 15:11out there you should assume that anything that you put in it is um is fair game right is is that can be gotten
82. 15:18to very very easily you shouldn't put private information you shouldn't put proprietary information you should be
83. 15:24put stuff stuff out there that you'd be cool with if if it were available publicly that's that's been my
84. 15:31contention contention from the beginning what he's talking about about them sharing full legal name and personal
85. 15:37email address that's like a security [ __ ] that's a different thing so I guess he went and he you know and he
86. 15:44unshared all of his things I would say he he has enough of a following that they will probably plug that hole pretty
87. 15:52quick so if you're not comfortable go turn off your gpts and then turn them on when they say something about it when
88. 15:59someone sends feedback it gives you their email oh that's interesting yeah like like like I said man this we are
89. 16:14witnessing we're witnessing the the struggles of transitioning from a from a research lab to a consumer company um and it's p
90. 16:28painful it's painful to watch it's painful on the product side and it's painful on the safety side so and I
91. 16:35think he's got a good point like for a company that's touting trust us with the future of humanity um maybe they could
92. 16:42get a little tighter on the security with emails and such search in GPT store is whack 2 they've tweaked it again now
93. 16:49and you can barely find barely find what you're looking for Suzanne like it was horrible before they tweaked it and made it worse oh good
94. 17:00lord like if you searched for something that you had a partial word like if you searched with the thing with the space
95. 17:08in it but the GPT was written without the space in it you couldn't find it it was it's it's pretty bad it's pretty bad
96. 17:17so births are messy things Miracles but messy yeah exactly this is this is one of those I what what's funny it's funny having
97. 17:30dealt with we we had four unrelated I think unrelated four unrelated bugs surfaced at the same time some of them
98. 17:40had to do with something the client did some of them had something to do with what we did some of them had to do with
99. 17:44just weirdness in how we're mxing together our older systems and our modern systems and and it's it's a complicated
100. 17:55mess but it's solvable but like what this what this says to me is that they've deprioritized the consumer application part of the
101. 18:10business and they've prioritized the research I think or they just have you know not the right people running this consumer
102. 18:25[ __ ] but if they've put their best Minds on super alignment and GPT 5 and qar because they stumbled onto AGI and
103. 18:37they've taken the best and brightest minds and they've dumped them on that and they said oh you you you you know
104. 18:43open AI equivalent of B players you go deal with the the uh chat GPT stuff it's possible that that's going
105. 18:52on but that seems a bit shortsighted to me like it seems to me they need to get in they need to be poaching someone from
106. 18:59Apple or some some serious you know serious company that that's got their [ __ ] together with privacy and
107. 19:08with user experience cuz it's a mess when are they going to start to revenue share on chat GPT I don't [ __ ]
108. 19:16know we assumed when they launched a thing called the GPT store one of the implications if you if you look up the
109. 19:26definition of the word store on say a powerful tool like a oh I don't know chat GPT I think it would imply that
110. 19:34it's a place of Commerce where value is exchanged and and you provide something like a swell GPT in exchange for something like oh say
111. 19:44dollars or Yen daos there's not a [ __ ] mention of rev sharing on the GPT store they should have called it the GPT s s of directory
112. 19:59[Laughter] page chat gpts in beta Microsoft co-pilot is the product well not really no I don't think that's
113. 20:14right no I I don't buy that I mean eh maybe I mean Microsoft does seem to be pulling stuff in two months after they
114. 20:28launch it at at open AI I don't know I don't know I don't know it would be a real shame for them to throw um throw the
115. 20:40brand out the window the the chat GPT brand because it's a good brand every like it's got It's got the chance of being like Xerox or
116. 20:48Kleenex GPT right a GPT is synonymous for a large language model like experience um so I don't know we'll figure figured
117. 20:59outa Kyle I'm doing very well Edson thank you very much thank you for asking I'm I'm uh I I mentioned earlier I I've
118. 21:07been bug bug smashing all day and and they were really obscure and uh overlapping and it reminded me that I
119. 21:18don't like some of our technology very much and so anyway so I'm a little I'm a little cranky I'm a little cranky yeah
120. 21:28and then you know just chat GPT needs to get their [ __ ] together like I thought I thought at this point we would have had
121. 21:35at least one major big announcement from someone that we'd be talking about some new thing and I thought it was going to be
122. 21:45the GPT store and then I was like and then we haven't heard anything there haven't been any Rumblings from
123. 21:55Google we heard the one thing from meta where Mark Zuckerberg said we're doing AGI too and we're gonna we're gonna Point
124. 22:04$22 billion worth of hardware at GP at llama 3 and then we're going to open source it so that was exciting but you
125. 22:13we can't go play with it right I want to go play with [ __ ] my dad used to ask me to Google things for him now he asked me to chat
126. 22:21GPT them exactly Lori I mean it's it's like like open AI really has established you know themselves as a a king of the
127. 22:31hill position and they're they're they're just they're just pissing it away with with shitty launches like
128. 22:38seriously it would have been it would have been better for them not to launch the the GPT store in the state it's in
129. 22:44in my opinion hold out for another 3 weeks get it right get it get it at least not horrible if you said there's
130. 22:51going to be rev sharing in it at least have a popup somewhere that says rev sharing will become make sure to get your gpts up and
131. 23:01running and hope you're good with us giving out your full full legal name and email

140. 24:48into something I think chat GPT so all three of those days were kind of they they were at least interesting in that
141. 24:54they were they were different than than other days so that that was last Saturday Sunday and Monday and I I labeled them as

164. 28:01this is a list that I curate personally and it starts out with chat GPT still the best um even though we're sort of
165. 28:08ragging on them for their their security and privacy um just in terms of the way these large language models work and
166. 28:17what they do chat GPT is still far and above anyone else um and then there's lots of other things to do here other
167. 28:24large language models image tools um video creation tools music generation tools 3D tools and then people to follow
168. 28:33in including David Shapiro who we just read his his you know [ __ ] slap of uh of open Ai and then Ethan mullik did an
169. 28:45interesting something today what did he do today I forget it was another it was another interesting post from Ethan mullik so
170. 28:58and then Paul rer had an interesting one today there's there's there's some stuff going on where if if if three of the four people
171. 29:08that I follow are are getting a little bristly a little getting their elbows out a little as as they say in the F1
172. 29:15game um something's going on there there is some sort of flux in the time space continuum um where that which probably
173. 29:25means something's about to happen I also one of the things that um one of the things that we talked about yesterday toward the end of the
174. 29:38live um if you've been using chat GPT in the past two days it is weirdly bad like it breaks a lot images aren't
175. 29:52rendering um it gives like when you do things where you kind kind of know how it answers that it's not answering them
176. 29:59like that and then if you coax it it sort of will so generally when I see that kind of behavior from chat GPT it means that
177. 30:10they're taking a bunch of their servers offline updating them and then slowly putting them back online so so one of
178. 30:20two things is happening that's what's happening and and what's today today's Thursday so it probably won't have
179. 30:27tomorrow maybe by mid next week we get some sort of major update from open AI that's a possibility or they're just doing [ __ ]
180. 30:37that's breaking things I've been telling everyone you're the number one AI rockar they should check out oh Special K thank you so much
181. 30:46thank you thank you thank you uh Rockstar well but I appreciate it um yeah so something's up something something's up with with open AI
182. 31:00now there's I've seen a bunch of screenshots recently where some of the people have like a little thing with
183. 31:06three bullet points on it that from open AI that says you know your chat GPT now has memory where where it can remember um chats across
184. 31:17sessions um it's possible that's what's coming uh but I don't know that's total speculation they need to figure out
185. 31:24their AB testing if that's the case oh P they need to figure out so much I don't know I don't know how long you've been
186. 31:30here but if you heard me I was uh I read what what David Shapiro said about open AI today and uh and I agreed with him
187. 31:39have you heard of rabbit tech device in fact I bought one of the first 10,000 and I got free perplexity for a year
188. 31:45yeah the rabbit the rabbit R1 device there's there's there's two significant rabbit Platforms in the world one of
189. 31:55them we can't talk about on this channel the other one is an AI device it cut me off after 30 minutes of use I was in the middle of a
190. 32:04presentation to a client oh that's always special yeah that's that's you know oh oh oh oh you know what else could be going on Source
191. 32:18Camp what else could be going on here is I I what I what I haven't been thinking about is the they launched chat GPT team and chat GPT
192. 32:34team they're charging 10 bucks more a month you get you get rate limited less and you get faster instances and you get 32,000
193. 32:45tokens if a significant amount of people upgraded to teams um what they might have done is actually de like reduce the capacity of
194. 32:56Chachi PT Plus capabilities and and while they increased it for chat GPT team that's another possibility yeah
195. 33:05that's really [ __ ] frustrating I was at a real life AI meeting yesterday we all run around and spoke about AI tools we
196. 33:14use how we use it how we like to do it left the whole oops left with a whole list to try oh that's awesome Suzanne that's really
197. 33:26good so um maybe you can put that I mean obviously share it share it somewhere in the in the salon but maybe you can pop
198. 33:35it in the Irregulars Channel or something like that or just just tag me in it when you post it because i' I'd

200. 33:46locally with AI Salon meetups that's a really good idea so we're going to be we're launching we're calling the the the the the salon
201. 33:57uh meetups that that are going to happen in person we're calling them the AI after hours um city so AI after hours Denver AI after hours
202. 34:11La um hosted by the AI salon and so we're going to we're going to roll out Denver this coming Tuesday and then
203. 34:19we're going to roll out all other cities either the follow two weeks after that or two weeks after that so those are
204. 34:26coming so yay that's exciting um yeah that would be really good to do in those local local events awesome awesome awesome

210. 35:22man when did they launch CET GPT 4 it was March right they launched 3.5 on in November and then it was 5 months and
211. 35:36people were kind of speculating that GPT 4 was kind of eminent in January and then it was two months later and I don't hear any of that kind
212. 35:47of buzz right now for GPT 5 I think they're working on it I think they're going to not call it GPT 5 if I if I read between the tea
213. 35:58leaves about what Sam Alman said at Davos he he twice mentioned or whatever we call it and he said I don't want to I don't
214. 36:08want there to be a chat GPT 22 so so they're probably going to come up with some name for it I I'm guessing either early summer or early

238. 41:16range like the the the pin by Humane that it got buzzed for like half a day and then everyone's like nah I don't
239. 41:25care about that that was $700 plus you needed a phone plan this is 200 bucks you don't need a subscription it's got a screen it's got
240. 41:37that bitching cool design and then like even if it sucks it's like something cool to stick on your on your shelf you
241. 41:46know it's got a cool scroll scroll wheel has never been said before well it hasn't been said in a while because everyone's taken any any

259. 44:21Journey image and then he turns that into an action that he can call by pushing his button so can say make me a
260. 44:27mid-journey image of whatever and it will know how to go use that software why didn't Apple come out with
261. 44:35that why isn't apple is normally the one that breaks their own ecosystem right Apple's the one that removed floppy
262. 44:42drives from computers Apple's the one that removed DVDs from computers Apple's the ones they they usually remove [ __ ]

279. 47:18sounds like cheap plastic it's like clack clack clack clack it sounds like Fisher Price so it definitely does not have
280. 47:26it's it's got Apple kinds of Aesthetics but it does not have apple kinds of build quality I can tell you that just
281. 47:31from just from listening to him use it um but I find it fascinating man I if if if you've never been to CES CES

283. 47:51consumer electronics companies in the world showing their latest [ __ ] and everyone was talking about AI you know
284. 47:58Sony and Samsung just all of them LG the see-through TVs all that [ __ ] and the rabbit R1 was like the clear runaway hit of the

286. 48:19cool but we saw see-through TVs at at CES 5 years ago they were just bigger and Fier so this one is actually
287. 48:27seethrough and it's a standalone piece of glass and okay like we kind of saw that right and then a lot of the AI announcements
288. 48:36were like we're going to be doing cool Ai and you know and the rabbit R R1 was just one of those things that was like
289. 48:44that's different and you know he did a little keynote video and it was a hit so so we'll see we'll see does that become
290. 48:52a new kind of device it might like I I could see see there being a form factor like that where you've got a
291. 48:58screen especially if you've got you've got like a little screen on a handheld device that's just easy to easy to

304. 50:46actions um but but it's basically macros but it's also it's it's not just macros that's not fair to them when you
305. 50:56push the button pushing the button is the equivalent of saying hey Alexa or you know the apple one uh where you
306. 51:04where you're activating it so instead of activating it by saying its name you just push the button and that activates

611. 1:45:22you'll be able to drop in there with your friends and play a game and you say Okay I want the Driving Experience of
