2:02 I've never seen the beginning this is
2:05 it it just goes downhill from here it
2:09 starts out slow it starts out slow and
2:11 then just just over three hours just AI
2:16 LL allergies oh that's pretty good
2:18 that's pretty good Tobias AI learning
2:21 lab bergies that's good that's solid let
2:25 see it's it's just comedy all the time
2:27 in here this is this is look at this
2:29 this is nice this is the that's the 1978
2:33 Sears robot carpet salesman sweep they
2:36 call
2:39 that you get me through the end of my
2:42 work shift often awesome that's great
2:44 Ethan do not work just hang here this
2:48 work is for the birds all this all this
2:51 AI stuff's going to take care of the
2:52 work we just got to get through the next
2:54 three years and let it turn into the
2:56 autonomous agents that David Shapiro is
2:59 working on right now
3:01 then everything's going to be fine what
3:02 t-shirt looks nice it's a Johnny
3:05 Cupcakes uh
3:07 delera uh what's it called something Del
3:10 Mara the you know the skull thing from
3:13 Mexico except it's cupcakes Johnny
3:15 Cupcakes from
3:18 [Laughter]
3:21 La I think it says Johnny Cupcakes
3:23 somewhere I think on the
3:25 back hey hey steo with Shake oh wow we
3:28 got a lot of people in here welcome
3:29 everybody all right we can get this
3:31 party started we can do it we can get it
3:35 going my name is Kyle Shannon this is
3:37 the AI learning lab or the AI Saloon or
3:41 the AI Salon doesn't really
3:43 matter we're just hanging
3:47 out we're hanging out we're building
3:50 Community
3:52 we're
3:55 collectively trying to figure this [ __ ]
3:58 out but Kyle what is it it I just came
4:01 in here cuz you look like Tom Arnold I
4:03 was like why is Tom Arnold talking about
4:05 AI I don't get
4:09 it cuz you
4:11 know can't just talk about
4:15 Roseanne what did I miss you have missed
4:20 nothing you have you have missed
4:23 absolutely nothing you there's nothing
4:26 happening here there's nothing at all
4:29 nothing is happen happening you can make
4:31 money with oh my something is happening
4:34 something is happening very golden
4:39 button ah for the tardies like myself
4:41 Irregulars mods present totos
4:45 llamas all right let's
4:48 see s Sergeant Schultz that was that was
4:52 pretty close to Sergeant Schultz I I
4:53 hadn't put two and two together but yeah
4:56 that was a little Hogan's Heroes
4:59 action
5:04 Hogan oh where are we at here we're just
5:06 getting started we're just getting
5:08 started I'm going to I'm going to do a
5:09 little getting everyone up to speed so
5:12 if you're brand new to generative AI I'm
5:14 going to tell you where to start
5:16 and I don't think I'm going to do the
5:18 big long list right away because it
5:19 takes for [ __ ] ever
5:21 and chat GPT in the past week has
5:26 become in my opinion the only thing you
5:29 should be paying attention to for the
5:30 next month or
5:33 two because nothing else is even close
5:35 to
5:36 it it's completely changed like
5:40 completely you're like but it still
5:42 looks like the Google search box what's
5:44 different about it
5:46 everything um and so we're going to
5:49 start there then I'm going to tell you
5:51 about the AI Salon not the AI Saloon
5:53 that's a very different
5:55 establishment and then uh and then we'll
5:57 get in my company is looking to enter
6:01 looking at an enter oh an Enterprise
6:03 license oh that's cool ion China nice
6:06 yeah I I if you work at a place that can
6:08 do uh chat GPT Enterprise that's kind of
6:11 the best of it where you get to do all
6:12 that stuff and be confident that your
6:14 data is
6:16 safe oh oh l i was a uh I was at a
6:21 networking event tonight and I had a
6:22 couple of glasses of Veno so I'm a
6:25 little sleepy cuz what happens is when
6:28 you hit a certain age like like there's
6:30 a certain age where you just drink and
6:33 then you're just a [ __ ] idiot and
6:35 then and then you drink and then you
6:38 start to get hung over and you realize I
6:40 can't drink that much but you still
6:42 enjoy it and then you hit your 40s and
6:44 and by the time you hit your 50s you
6:46 drink you're just like I'm a little
6:48 sleepy and don't feel
6:50 good what could it be oh I had a
6:54 wine it's
6:57 just what's AI Saloon
7:02 a saloon where we go that's where we go
7:04 after the AI AA
7:09 meetings oh lordy lordy lordy all right
7:12 so let's let's let's get in here um okay
7:17 if you are brand new to the chat JPay
7:22 T this is where you're going to go this
7:25 is where you're going to go it's the
7:27 only place you need to go there's lots
7:29 of other stuff to play with but right
7:31 now in my opinion you can ignore the
7:33 [ __ ] on the bottom this was just a list
7:35 of like all of the bullet points on both
7:37 of those columns were all the [ __ ] that
7:39 open AI announced on Monday and then and
7:42 launched it all they launched all this
7:43 this week they they meant to launch it
7:46 on Monday but they were delayed and
7:47 launched it like Wednesday so open AI is
7:51 slaying
7:58 it
8:01 what Sam is
8:03 overwhelmed what's going on with Sam oh
8:06 Sam we are pausing new chat GPT plus
8:10 signups for a bit The Surge in usage
8:14 post Dev day has exceeded our
8:17 capacity when did he do this did he just
8:19 do
8:23 this November 14th is that
8:27 today yes
8:30 at 8:10 p.m. holy [ __ ] this just
8:34 happened all right well folks if you
8:37 didn't get cat GPT plus that
8:41 sucks I told you I told you anyone who
8:44 could afford 20 bucks a month and didn't
8:46 get it was being foolish we exploded the
8:48 app we did I I'll tell you what I have a
8:51 feeling this this channel the little um
8:54 GPT building parties we've had and like
8:56 all the images that we're generating for
8:59 the Discord I think we're contributing
9:01 we got some Cycles going in here people
9:05 um anyway if you're new to chat GPT even
9:08 if you can't get into the 20 bucks if
9:10 they're pausing that right now if you
9:12 can get it like buy it right now but go
9:14 to chat. opena a.com and just start
9:17 playing okay just start playing but K I
9:20 don't know what playing means I'm not
9:22 very technical I don't know if you knew
9:24 this Kyle but some of us in here don't
9:26 have computer science degrees we're not
9:28 mathematicians from
9:30 Stanford should I tell
9:33 him I have a degree in
9:35 acting for me it's
9:38 taitas and the holidays Tequila Rose
9:42 great eggnog oh it's the Tequilas not
9:44 the teas I thought it was the
9:51 teas um all right so go there so so
9:54 here's what else we're going to talk
9:55 about um this probably a little
9:57 premature but that's okay
10:00 because so the AI the AI learning lab
10:03 here is part of a larger thing called
10:06 the AI salon and the AI Salon is a
10:08 community I started about a year ago so
10:11 December 5th is our one-year anniversary
10:14 next Tuesday so not tonight but a week
10:17 from tonight is one of our bi-weekly
10:20 meetings so we meet every other
10:22 week how is chat GPT plus working on the
10:25 phone gave us gave up computers nine go
10:29 years ago do I need to get get one no
10:34 you don't mathas you can just go to the
10:38 um so there's two ways to use chat GPT
10:41 on the
10:41 phone you can download the chat GPT app
10:45 make sure you get the one from open AI
10:48 don't get one from any other company
10:50 because they're all Faker apps that are
10:51 just going to charge you money for [ __ ]
10:53 you can get for free basically so the
10:57 chat GPT official app app from open AI
11:00 is worth getting because that app you
11:04 can put into conversation mode where you
11:06 can just talk to it so that's one
11:09 thing the other thing is on the phone
11:12 you can just open your Safari browser or
11:14 your Chrome browser and just go to chat.
11:17 open.com the site is simple enough that
11:20 it's actually really functional on
11:22 mobile the good thing about the
11:26 difference between doing it through a
11:29 browser and doing it through the app is
11:31 that on the browser you can actually
11:33 make your own gpts so Becky Rue who's in
11:36 here she's the one that that made those
11:38 really cool quilt images a couple of
11:40 weeks back and two nights ago on her
11:42 phone she made a
11:44 GPT uh of like a quilting GPT and she
11:48 was super excited about it she she was
11:50 like I'm a pretty big deal now so yeah
11:52 you can do that anyway the salon go to
11:54 the salon. thank you very much Matias um
11:59 click on the first link that talks about
12:01 what the salon's about and our values go
12:03 read those values the whole idea is
12:05 we're choosing to be on this AI
12:07 adventure together and I want to find
12:09 people that are curious and adventurous
12:11 and generous willing to share what you
12:14 learn and and you know inclusive and
12:18 collaborative and
12:21 empathetic and if those values resonate
12:24 with you great then this is a community
12:26 for you for you and if not if you're
12:28 like a you're a bunch of May pambi thies
12:30 great that's it's just not for you then
12:32 so I want to grow this community but I
12:35 want to grow it with Integrity so go
12:37 check those out and then the next link
12:39 down is our Discord so we have a Discord
12:41 where you can go in if you if you're a
12:43 subscriber to this channel you can get
12:45 into the private Irregulars Channel who
12:47 are the Irregulars the Irregulars are
12:49 people that just show up here night
12:51 after night after night you don't have
12:52 to subscribe uh but if you do subscribe
12:54 you get automatic uh access to that to
12:57 that private Channel otherwise you just
12:58 got to hang out here a lot and earn
13:02 it um and but the but the the salon's
13:06 great and the Discord there's there's
13:08 different guilds and Guild there's like
13:10 a a starter Guild and there's a writing
13:12 Guild and Art Guild and it's it's really
13:15 cool and pretty soon we're going to be
13:17 moving to Mighty networks but but go
13:19 join the Discord and then the third link
13:21 is to the meetups so we meet every other
13:24 Tuesday and next Tuesday is the one it's
13:27 not that blocked I just got Plus okay
13:29 good Mitch yeah I would say listen go to
13:32 chat go to chat. open.com right now if
13:35 you can get plus now I'd get it because
13:37 Alman just just made that
13:42 announcement that that they're going to
13:45 they're going to knock down the
13:48 old yeah that's from him we're pausing
13:50 new chat GPT Sign Plus signups so yeah
13:55 so if you can get it get it does custom
13:57 GPT support API access yes it does Omar
14:00 ghoul it's not super easy but um there's
14:03 a couple of videos now on YouTube about
14:06 um hooking up zappier API access or
14:10 actions they call them in the
14:12 gpts um you can hook up Zapp zapier and
14:16 once you hook up
14:17 zapier the configuration's a [ __ ] but
14:20 once you get it configured you can use
14:22 like the
14:23 4,000 zappier calls inside your
14:28 actions um I've had a couple of really
14:31 cool business ideas today with these
14:33 gpts the these things are amazing so we
14:35 can play with those so anyway go to the
14:38 salon do that and then and then let's go
14:40 play so so the way this works is uh if
14:43 you have questions about AI pop in the
14:44 comments below if you've got comments or
14:48 if you want to share something like hey
14:49 I talked about Ai and my my boss told me
14:52 I can't ever talk about that again or I
14:55 talked about Ai and my boss said uh
14:57 we're going to make you the VP of AI
14:59 like I want to hear it all I want to
15:00 hear what's going on um chat. open.com
15:04 we're going to log in here when we get
15:07 started and I can do I'll take this
15:09 conversation wherever the hell you want
15:11 to take it this is free
15:13 form the the nick one of the nicknames
15:16 for the channel is
15:17 chadad I'll bounce around here like a
15:20 firecracker and a tin
15:23 can that's not even a saying and if it
15:25 were a saying it wouldn't last because
15:27 it's not funny or interesting
15:30 how do I switch careers from
15:31 telecommunications to AI engineering uh
15:34 just start building build build build
15:39 build droy droy D do droy D do droy D
15:45 Doo I'm G to give you an a nine out of
15:48 10 on the name I'd give you a 10 but it
15:51 it it's making my tongue hurt drewy
15:55 DD it's solid it's a solid name wait why
15:59 do you have an a for your icon but your
16:03 name is drewy dedo shouldn't it be a
16:06 d oh God it's you just dropped to an
16:09 eight eight out of 10 when you're able
16:13 we talk about the
16:17 3.5 doable Biz apps right now with
16:23 Gen can we talk about the three to five
16:27 doable Biz opportunities cuno what do
16:29 you mean like which which ones shut up
16:34 Siri she she's so nosy I'm talking to
16:38 cuno now not you Siri
16:41 um which ideas are you talking about are
16:44 you just talking about ideas in general
16:45 like like what are some things you could
16:46 do to to start businesses around it I
16:49 I'm happy to take it
16:51 anywhere um the ones you mentioned oh oh
16:56 you want me to give up my secrets my
16:59 billion dooll
17:03 [Applause]
17:06 ideas they take and they take and they
17:09 take for deployment in a
17:12 marketing wait for deployment in a
17:15 company marketing
17:17 coms
17:19 um let's
17:23 [Laughter]
17:27 see
17:29 I'm
17:31 hiding I'm hiding
17:34 people let's see what Biz
17:39 ideas so so I had a Biz
17:43 idea
17:44 today that I think's a good one and
17:47 what's cool about it is it's like anyone
17:49 like I don't mind giving it up anyone
17:50 can do it well anyone with content okay
17:55 so so I've got a buddy and this buddy
18:00 does like seminars it doesn't matter
18:03 what they're on he'll do like a two-hour
18:07 seminar
18:09 and he'll hop on the the zoom call and
18:12 he does like a 45 minute
18:14 presentation and then he does Q&A and
18:17 then he coaches and they do like a
18:18 series of
18:19 these and so Peter Kaminsky from the AI
18:24 Salon the other night shared that he
18:30 he made a GPT and if you don't know what
18:32 gpts are we we'll go make
18:35 one he he made a GPT of a single
18:38 conference
18:39 call so there were six people on a
18:41 conference call and he took the
18:43 transcript of that conference call and
18:45 he turned it into a GPT so you could ask
18:47 the GPT about the notes of the
18:49 conference call and he gave it to the
18:51 six people from the conference call how
18:53 old are you your hair looks good thank
18:55 you y y langma uh I am 50
18:59 I appreciate that it's the secret is in
19:02 the three two pays I I have to hand
19:04 weave together to get that
19:06 look
19:10 um
19:12 so so that was a bit of a revelation for
19:15 me because about 6 months ago someone I
19:18 think on the Twitter or maybe on the Tik
19:20 Tok I heard someone talking about the
19:22 idea
19:24 of these generative tools are going to
19:27 get so good that you're going to be be
19:29 able to talk an app into
19:32 existence right I need an app that
19:35 does and that just landed in our laps
19:39 four days ago last Wednesday I got
19:44 it and and you can literally talk an app
19:48 into existence and so
19:50 the for essentially no money right for
19:53 your 20 Buck a month fee and you can
19:55 share it with the world or you can share
19:56 it with a handful of people and and so
19:58 the business idea
20:00 was you could
20:03 take oh yeah that's what I'm talking
20:06 about um thank you for ever hooked
20:11 um you could take a guy like this guy
20:14 that does these seminars and these Q&A
20:16 sessions that he charges for and you can
20:19 scale him he could do those when he's
20:23 not there right so you watch the Youtube
20:25 video of the 45 minute presentation and
20:29 then you're given access to the Q&A tool
20:32 for that session and you could do a Q&A
20:34 tool for each
20:36 session and then you could put one
20:38 together for the whole for the whole
20:44 shebang and so I think that could be a
20:46 business I think that could
20:48 be if you're an
20:52 agency it's something that you could
20:54 offer to your
20:57 clients like come up with a whole
20:59 workflow of every time you have a
21:03 meeting you hit this record button
21:06 Everybody Talks they all do their thing
21:10 and then I'm going to we're going to
21:11 build you custom interactive things that
21:15 you can interact with
21:19 and that that was just an
21:22 idea trying to think what other ones I
21:24 had there was one I there's one I want
21:26 don't want to talk about cuz it was
21:27 decently proprietary with this dude same
21:34 dude you know what I'll share with you I
21:36 know what I'll share with you I'll share
21:37 part of a workshop I gave by the way if
21:39 you work for a big company and you want
21:42 to do workshops on AI like educate a
21:45 team or if you want to do a deep dive on
21:47 chat GPT for a team let me know because
21:50 I do do
21:51 workshops
21:54 and let me see I got to find it and
21:59 Launchpad Workshop this is
22:05 it I'm going to give you some gold here
22:07 people I'll give it to you for free
22:10 we're going to give it to you for free
22:12 people is this it is this
22:15 it
22:24 yes
22:27 okay
22:28 [Laughter]
22:33 [Music]
22:42 [Music]
22:44 [Applause]
22:49 [Music]
22:54 I'm going to give you what I think is is
22:56 a secret unlock
23:04 all right and here's where this came
23:05 from
23:07 so a lot of people in the creative
23:10 Community are [ __ ] pissed
23:14 off Kyle Kyle the AI learning lab guy
23:18 Bill NY entrance that's good I like it
23:21 that's solid what about GPT for a
23:24 Facebook group to find info easier than
23:26 trying to search absolutely random
23:29 thoughts exactly that's exactly right by
23:31 the way thank you for being a subscriber
23:34 um yes exactly that like like okay so so
23:40 hold pause on what's on screen for a
23:45 second if if gpts are easy enough to
23:48 produce that you can whip one up in 10
23:50 minutes essentially you could whip up a
23:53 GPT probably faster than you could write
23:57 up an email summarizing a
24:00 meeting so if that's the
24:06 case and there's a desire like if people
24:08 actually want to do it and use it check
24:11 that
24:13 first you could totally transform the
24:15 way you you deal with
24:22 meetings and if you're using the GPT IOS
24:26 app that you can talk to
24:29 you could do a meeting at
24:31 5:00 and by the time you get out to your
24:34 car someone will have presented you a
24:36 GPT here's the GPT of that meeting and
24:39 then you put your phone in in voice mode
24:42 and then you just talk on the way home
24:44 you talk to the meeting you talk to the
24:47 notes of the meeting all right what were
24:49 my takeaways again didn't Sally say
24:52 something about goals for next quarter
24:55 oh right ah damn it okay you know yeah I
25:00 I just this idea for me of informal app
25:03 development is it's really big it's it's
25:06 almost like think smaller don't think
25:08 big don't think like I can make millions
25:11 we'll have billions in Revenue well no
25:13 no think
25:14 small think of what if you make a a GPT
25:17 applications that's the equivalent of
25:19 like a small bag of chips I'm just going
25:22 to have a few chips I'll just snack them
25:24 down in between in between meetings
25:27 here all right creative process and
25:30 creative product what the [ __ ] is that
25:31 about here's here's the
25:33 deal I'm going to give you five
25:35 different
25:37 modes of working with AI and I think I
25:41 think I think this is really solid but
25:43 you know you tell
25:45 me so the creative Community a lot of
25:48 them are really pissed off right now
25:51 they think their shit's being stolen the
25:53 SAG actors right now for whatever reason
25:56 sag did not get that
25:59 a what's it called a not a a not a
26:08 character whatever they call talent in a
26:11 movie they did not get in the SAG
26:13 contract that that thing has to be
26:17 human so they basically gave up that
26:20 humans are required to be in
26:23 movies wga got it for writers rooms so I
26:28 don't know what sag was doing but they I
26:29 think they [ __ ] up there's a bunch of
26:30 actors pissed
26:32 off and then there's other there's other
26:34 artists particularly illustrators people
26:37 have been illustrators for 20 or 30
26:39 years that where their job is their
26:41 livelihood is really threatened I can
26:42 see why they're pissed
26:44 off but the problem is they're cutting
26:48 off their nose to spite their face
26:50 okay because they're like AI is evil I'm
26:53 not going to use it and they're only
26:54 looking at the creative product this
26:57 thing right
26:58 so if you're an illustrator maybe using
27:01 Dolly your mid journey is you know evil
27:04 for you and you're like [ __ ] that [ __ ]
27:05 I'm not going to use
27:07 it but I'm going to give you five modes
27:10 because I think that no matter what your
27:11 position is on AI champ what is up what
27:16 are you whimpering about oh you want out
27:19 oh you smell muffins I know what's going
27:23 on he wants
27:27 muffins
27:34 somebody made blueberry muffins and the
27:36 dog was
27:37 all okay all right so I'm going to give
27:40 you five modes and what this will allow
27:42 you to do is is to
27:45 compartmentalize different ways of
27:47 thinking about using AI there might be
27:48 some areas in your life where you choose
27:50 not to do it you say hey I'm an artist
27:52 I'm not going to make you know
27:54 Commercial Art that that competes with
27:57 what I do
27:59 but there's four other modes that you
28:00 could potentially use okay so these two
28:03 will you play slide by the Google dolls
28:06 if I knew
28:08 it um so creative process and creative
28:12 product creative process is things
28:16 like um idea
28:18 Generation Um research and
28:21 inspiration like so like brainstorming
28:23 research um technique enhancement so in
28:26 that case like voice action
28:28 script interpretation so creative
28:32 process is like all the stuff that you
28:35 do before you start building [ __ ] right
28:38 all right creative product is like the
28:42 stuff like you know artwork uh a Blog
28:46 article um Workshop development logo
28:50 creation you know uh creative
28:53 self-portraits right so so doing the
28:55 work itself so when it comes to sort of
28:57 ort of creative output there's creative
29:00 process and creative product and then
29:02 similarly you've got business process
29:05 and business output so if you're working
29:08 in a company that's got high privacy
29:11 High protected we can't do anything
29:13 that's going to you know risk anything
29:15 the business output side might be
29:17 something you don't do we're you know
29:18 we're not going to do anything for
29:20 clients we're not going to do client
29:21 work with chat gbt but you might do
29:23 internal work with chat gbt like hey
29:26 let's summarize the the the the call we
29:29 just had let's make you know writing
29:32 response emails a lot uh simpler let's
29:35 make sales you know sales stuff a lot
29:39 more
29:43 um
29:46 here now champ wants back in he wants
29:48 out and now he wants back
29:51 in
29:53 um so business process things like
29:55 marketing plans things like um contract
29:58 reviews
30:00 automation business product he's a pain
30:04 in the ass he just wants water he wanted
30:06 water but I think he wants I'm G to give
30:08 him some Chicken Treats all
30:11 right
30:13 um uh output things like uh you know
30:18 visual identity uh testimonials and
30:20 reviews actual client work uh thing
30:23 things like that and then the third or
30:25 the fifth so you got creative process
30:28 creative product you got business
30:30 process business product your business
30:32 output and then the fifth category is
30:34 personal activities make yourself a meal
30:37 plan make yourself a uh you know a uh
30:42 exercise thing do do a project plan for
30:45 the church social right do do anything
30:49 that that's for yours personally so if
30:52 there's areas where you feel like well I
30:54 can't use AI because blank don't let
30:56 that shut down the whole thing figure
30:58 out places you can use it because it can
31:01 help you in all these different areas
31:03 all right is mrman going to start taking
31:06 away stuff from our membership I doubt
31:08 it Genie in a Bottle I doubt it because
31:11 just just evidenced by how they've
31:14 behaved to this point um they've been
31:17 giving us more and more stuff the one
31:18 exception to that rule is Dolly 3 images
31:22 started by giving you four and then it
31:24 dropped to two and now it's down to one
31:27 so they have taken that away but it's
31:29 still making images I don't think
31:30 they'll they'll get rid of it Al
31:32 together um and I think all of the all
31:34 of the throttling right now is um is uh
31:38 temporary they're just they're just
31:39 trying to spin up capacity like like at
31:42 this point they've got a 100 million
31:45 weekly active users and it sounds like
31:49 it sounds like the activity of those 100
31:51 million users went up as well as the
31:54 number of users went up so their servers
31:56 are just heaving heaving and
32:00 hoing so anyway I you know I hope that
32:05 that helps the sort of thinking about
32:07 GPT in these different modes in your
32:10 life we had an issue while signing in oh
32:14 did you well Mr Sam Alman I just told
32:18 everyone you weren't going to take their
32:20 toys
32:22 away all right fine okay Sam is redeemed
32:26 I had an absolute B today with chat gp4
32:29 we filled filed five complaints on
32:32 Amazon's delivery something delivery app
32:35 or delivery something there's a loophole
32:38 for
32:39 that uh uh Champ's like
32:45 Dad yeah Champ's like Dad when when you
32:48 make a GPT I can use let's talk we'll
32:51 talk champ lay down what are you doing
32:54 why are you being weird champy champy
32:58 hey why are you being weird what are you
33:01 staring at what are you staring at is
33:04 there a ghost in there are you looking
33:06 at a ghost no yeah come to
33:11 Daddy yeah you weirdo lay down go lay
33:16 down all right how about a GPT trained
33:19 on the World building materials of my
33:23 novel is that
33:25 Wise Guy knocked my gate down and
33:28 mangled it he kept driving oh that's no
33:32 fun
33:34 Nancy
33:36 um how about a GPT trained on the World
33:39 building materials of my novel is
33:42 that
33:44 wise um Milo I think so so long as you
33:48 don't um publish it you can keep it for
33:51 yourself
33:52 privately one of the
33:55 um one of the prompts that I would build
33:58 into the GPT is tell them not to use
34:01 your data for training and they'll and
34:03 they'll turn that switch off on the back
34:06 end had my 13-year-old building gpts
34:09 today and he created some interesting
34:11 things in reference to anime oh that's
34:15 cool yeah my guys my guys will probably
34:17 do that oh you know what I can probably
34:18 do with my guys because they're going to
34:21 Japan I think in the
34:23 summer yeah maybe I'll have them build
34:27 some gpts that that they can use there
34:30 or something like that I don't know
34:31 that's an interesting
34:36 idea and we can go make gpts and stuff
34:39 we can do whatever the hell you want to
34:40 do in here
34:48 [Music]
34:56 people
35:02 Joker want me to make one to talk to
35:04 dogs well he loves like for him it's
35:07 minor it's minor guitar chords you want
35:09 to hear him lose his
35:14 [Music]
35:26 mind
35:31 [Music]
35:38 you're a [ __ ] nutcase you know that
35:41 you know that you're a
35:42 nut you're a nut a minor baby a minor
35:47 gets him every time actually any
35:50 guitar and he's and lately likes brass
35:53 he likes brass ensembles when when we
35:55 listen to the national anthems on F1
35:57 races that gets him going
36:00 too oh
36:04 man Builder profile not working
36:07 really let's
36:11 see systems Builder
36:24 profile I it's it's there
36:28 they might have moved it check in your
36:30 check in your settings CU I've got it in
36:32 the last little slot there in my
36:35 settings it seems to be working but I
36:37 didn't try saving anything I haven't I
36:39 haven't verified a domain yet I don't
36:41 quite get the domain thing right now I'd
36:43 like a GPT that creates images using my
36:46 many photographs as a source
36:49 yeah no I don't no not right now so the
36:55 way the way GPT Vision Works and the way
36:58 do works are not like the way mid
37:02 journey and stable diffusion can take
37:06 images as sources they're it's it's a
37:08 different
37:10 thing
37:15 so so what you could potentially do so
37:19 somebody somebody created a GPT called
37:21 the super prompter which is it's a
37:24 clever name um and what the super
37:26 prompter does does is you upload an
37:28 image to it and then he's got it so that
37:31 it describes the image in a very
37:33 specific way and then has DOI recreate
37:36 it so you could do something like that
37:38 where there everything's kind of
37:40 inspired by your
37:43 images
37:45 but yeah I just I don't think it would
37:48 be a
37:49 good I don't think it would give you
37:51 what you're expecting if you want to if
37:53 you want to create a model based on your
37:56 photographs here let me go show you
37:57 something I where I would go if if you
38:00 want to do a photograph like that I
38:02 wouldn't do it as a GPT I would go to
38:04 unless you're geeky if you're geeky go
38:06 to stable diffusion but if you're not
38:08 geeky go to
38:26 leonardo.da
38:28 let me sign in
38:30 here let me sign
38:35 [Music]
38:43 in oh I got sign in with
38:56 Google
38:58 oh my God they keep changing these
39:01 interfaces everything's always different
39:04 okay so when you're at
39:07 Leonardo there's an area called training
39:10 and data sets let me make this bigger so
39:14 you can see it this area called training
39:15 and data sets and then right below it is
39:17 fine-tuned models so if you go into
39:20 training and data sets you can make your
39:22 own like here's two models I made of my
39:25 giant fat face and then here's two mod
39:28 or here's a model that I made of some
39:30 photography some of my cloud Sky
39:32 photography so if I say edit data set
39:35 here's all the these are all the
39:36 photographs I uploaded and so this is a
39:39 model based on my
39:42 thing B based on my photographs that I
39:45 can use so now if I come back over here
39:47 to this little thing and go to
39:49 fine-tuned
39:52 models I can go to my models and there
39:56 is
39:59 the cloud one and now I can generate
40:02 with this model right so I think I think
40:05 that's an image that I generated from
40:07 this I don't think that's a photo I took
40:08 I think that's one I generated but like
40:11 there's an actual hint right like I I
40:13 don't quite remember if I actually
40:14 photographed that or not and so I can go
40:19 um generate with this model and then I
40:21 could say and and basically what I have
40:23 to type in is a Kyle Shannon Sky using
40:27 that model and if I do that if I
40:33 go a Kyle Shannon
40:36 Sky
40:39 of Three Rivers in
40:43 Pittsburgh at
40:46 Sunset and so I'll generate that and
40:49 that
40:50 should give us a nice pretty a nice
40:53 pretty thing so if I were you if you're
40:55 looking to do image based on your
40:57 photographs I'd probably go to
40:58 Leonardo's training if you if you if
41:01 you're geeky and want to do stable
41:03 diffusion I'd go explore all the control
41:05 net stuff because then you can start to
41:06 get really particular about how you
41:09 control all that so look at these look
41:11 at these images I mean these are very
41:13 much like you know not only the
41:15 photographs I take but my editing style
41:18 for the for the you know how I do things
41:21 in
41:23 Lightroom like these are the lighting
41:26 conditions I like I mean these are the I
41:29 basically wait until the clouds [ __ ]
41:31 light on fire like
41:34 that I mean there you go so cool right
41:39 all right all right all right people you
41:42 know you don't you don't always need to
41:45 use AI you don't always need to use
41:48 whatever is the latest and shiniest chat
41:49 GPT is certainly the latest and shiniest
41:51 right
41:52 now
41:55 um what I haven't played around with
41:57 what you might be able to do is it might
42:00 be cool to do something like a
42:01 photography
42:03 catalog that it could it could pull
42:06 images up from a catalog or links or
42:08 something like that I don't quite know
42:10 that all right all right people what do
42:14 we want to do what do we want to do
42:16 today what are we going to do every AI
42:19 news story today is about YouTube I've
42:22 never seen that oh interesting well
42:24 there it sounds like they they're
42:26 they're pre-release a bunch of AI tools
42:29 I mean quite
42:32 frankly so so here's what could be
42:35 happening
42:38 thonus total speculation I'm going out
42:40 on a speculation limb
42:42 here um Google Gemini the new
42:47 replacement for Palm 2 the thing the
42:49 engine that sits underneath
42:51 Bard Google Gemini is
42:53 supposedly really [ __ ] powerful like
42:57 better than gp4 powerful which I'll
43:00 believe it when I see it but even if
43:02 it's the same as gp4 or even in the
43:04 neighborhood of
43:06 gp4 it's apparently
43:09 multimodal I would bet some very good
43:12 money that that model's been trained on
43:14 YouTube
43:16 data and so it's very possible that the
43:21 new tools that we're seeing in YouTube
43:23 are being built on top of Gemini and
43:25 when they release Gemini it's going to
43:27 have some YouTube integration that's
43:29 probably going to melt some faces
43:30 because if I trained a whole model on
43:33 all of
43:35 YouTube I've got the distribution
43:38 platform so we could we could make you
43:42 could you could basically do with chat
43:44 GPT what you do with chat GPT but get
43:46 video
43:48 results and and get and get like you
43:52 know go find all the places where Kyle
43:54 Shannon talked about
43:57 uh
43:58 Microsoft and it would go it would go
44:00 give me a list of video clips that I
44:02 could just click on and it would just
44:03 automatically hop meat to that those
44:05 exact spots right think about replacing
44:08 the entire interface with YouTube with a
44:10 chat GPT like thing can chat gp4 build a
44:13 website absolutely
44:15 can absolutely can rock paper
44:19 scissors um let's
44:25 see
44:27 I want you to act like a web
44:31 designer who specializes in corporate
44:35 websites and write the copy for a
44:40 website
44:43 about booming quarterly
44:49 results you're like well that's just the
44:52 copy yeah yeah I
44:55 know
44:57 great can you now um give me a
45:01 webflow
45:03 compatible page with CSS styling that
45:07 will make that look good and
45:18 professional so yes it can and then you
45:21 can copy that and paste it there or you
45:22 could go get an existing page and put it
45:24 there now that said
45:29 you may not need to use AI to make a
45:31 website right there there are tools that
45:32 will do it but there's also just like
45:34 you know website building tools like
45:37 Squarespace where you can just go if you
45:39 just need to do like a basic website
45:41 with e-commerce just go pick a template
45:43 have chat jpt write all your content and
45:45 just paste it into the template so so
45:48 one of one of my
45:51 uh one of my thoughts on this stuff is
45:54 don't get seduced in into thinking that
45:58 AI is a strategy AI is just another tool
46:02 just another tool so figure out the
46:04 problem you want to solve first and then
46:06 ask what's the best tool to solve it and
46:09 if it's AI if there's a really good
46:10 reason to use AI to build your website
46:13 go for it if you just want to do it as a
46:15 learning experience where you're like
46:17 hey that's cool like when I when I first
46:20 started playing with chat gbt I did an
46:23 email thing that I was going to put in
46:25 uh
46:28 MailChimp I was GNA be like monkey
46:31 monkey what is it
46:33 MailChimp um and it just did it in plain
46:36 text and I didn't I forgot how to do
46:38 HTML because I haven't done it in 30
46:40 years and so I said oh can you make this
46:42 pretty for an HTML email and it just it
46:45 just did and then I and then I looked at
46:47 it in the template previewer and I
46:49 didn't like what it was and I said okay
46:51 change this to yellow or change this to
46:53 Orange make that line longer make that
46:55 thing more more bold use a sansera font
46:58 and it was just just changed all the
47:00 code and then it like within 5 minutes I
47:02 had it done so yeah you can absolutely
47:04 do that but use the tools that are best
47:06 for the job isn't chat gp5 GOI supposed
47:10 to be all about video 2 coming early
47:13 2024 yeah random thoughts by TK I saw I
47:16 saw a video with synthesized Sam Alman
47:20 in it talking about GPT 5 doing video
47:23 coming early in
47:25 2024 I I have suspicions that that was
47:28 real I don't think that was real now if
47:31 you've seen something that was real and
47:33 was from them and says that great but
47:36 the last time Alman was
47:38 interviewed like three weeks ago and
47:41 someone asked him about GPT 5 he said
47:43 we're not working on GPT 5 now do I
47:47 believe him no I think that's a Croc of
47:49 [ __ ] I think of course they're working
47:50 on GPT 5 but is it going to be ready I I
47:53 mean if you think about it November 6th
47:57 they
47:58 release true multimodal gp4 128,000
48:03 context window
48:05 gpts a massive upgrade to the API
48:10 infrastructure and then in two months
48:12 they're going to turn around and release
48:14 GPT 5 I don't see
48:17 [Laughter]
48:23 it
48:25 Joker
48:26 Joker I we talked about needing to make
48:28 champy a GPT Joker went and made a GPT
48:32 called champ Whisperer I think we got to
48:35 use it should I should I use it oh it's
48:38 got a very cute icon
48:40 too should I use it
48:44 um with the talki
48:49 bits hang on they've got a weird they've
48:53 got a weird bug in their URLs have you
48:55 all noticed Noti
48:57 this when you click when you click on
49:00 the URL for one of these gpts it takes
49:02 you to a page that says sign up but like
49:06 if you're already signed up and then if
49:08 if you click on the go to the app it
49:09 takes you to the app but it doesn't take
49:11 you to the page they got to fix that
49:16 [ __ ] visit
49:23 site log in
49:29 [Music]
49:44 a
49:46 crap anyway it's not really
49:49 working not your your thing joker I'm
49:52 sure is working fine but me being able
49:54 to get to it cuz
49:56 H just Google just 17 Factor
49:59 authentication to me out of
50:02 it I'm done I just read today that they
50:04 are indeed working on GPT 5 okay good
50:07 yeah that doesn't surprise me GPT 3.5 or
50:10 four Joe 4903 gp4 go get it now if you
50:14 can afford the 20 bucks a month go get
50:15 it now they're about to shut that [ __ ]
50:17 down for some amount of time CU too many
50:19 people are using
50:22 it it is beyond worth it I think if you
50:25 can afford the 20 bucks a month I think
50:27 it is foolish right now to not have gp4
50:30 and not be playing with this stuff a lot
50:33 where can I create my own AI okay well
50:35 let's go make one now
50:37 far
50:39 hello good day to you sir good day to
50:43 you may I inquire while you're here who
50:47 may I ask are you my name is
50:51 far H
50:53 rather do you have a surname no it's
50:57 far h
50:59 fine what do you expect
51:01 to accomplish out of this
51:04 engagement I would like to
51:07 pass None Shall
51:11 Pass but I am
51:13 far I could have written for M python if
51:17 I were English and
51:21 older and funny looks Arn everything
51:26 all right
51:27 so you go to chat
51:31 GPT and you're probably going to see
51:34 something like this down at the bottom
51:36 you'll see your prompt history which
51:38 you've probably seen
51:39 before in the upper leftand corner
51:41 there's GPT 4 and GPT 3.5 3.5 is what
51:44 you get if you don't pay for it if you
51:47 need things generated really quickly
51:49 even if you pay for four excuse me even
51:52 if you pay for four 3.5 is good to use
51:54 if you want stuff fast cuz it's much
51:57 faster but switch to GPT
52:00 4 and then so you've got your normal
52:04 chat GPT and that this is it here with
52:06 your little prompty
52:09 questions how can I help you today so
52:11 that's normal chat GPT although it's way
52:13 more than normal chat GPT because they
52:15 now have this giant paperclip right
52:19 here and you can upload anything to that
52:23 PDF files images um CSV files Word
52:27 documents
52:29 anything f is a long long way to run
52:32 that's good
52:35 Ted it's
52:38 comedy oh that's cute
52:43 Ted it says put me in Sam gp5 that's
52:48 really
52:51 good
52:52 um so so even though that looks just
52:55 like an innocuous little regular chat
52:58 gbt it is a completely different thing
53:00 than it was a week ago okay now if you
53:04 go over here to the left you got all
53:05 these little circles below chat GPT and
53:08 I got a lot of them well what are these
53:10 well these are gpts so these are
53:12 personalized
53:14 customized versions of chat
53:17 gp4 so I'm going to go to Sin City
53:19 sipper which is the very first GPT that
53:21 I made on the first night here fa got
53:23 access to chat GPT for folks in his
53:26 country they don't have access f is
53:28 heroic wow that's super cool that's
53:31 super cool
53:32 cuno um yeah I would imagine if you if
53:36 if you're sort of doing some VPN magic
53:38 and you got access to chat GPT I bet
53:40 it's pretty good curious on General
53:42 steps on how to integrate open AI custom
53:45 GPS to external websites right now it's
53:47 kind of shitty front end um I think the
53:51 only way right now um Decepticon is
53:56 um is to just link link to a link to a
54:00 GPT and you could maybe toss it in an
54:03 iframe or whatever the equivalent of ey
54:05 frames are these days I don't know how
54:06 old
54:08 my my uh HTML knowledge is it's it's
54:12 well I know it's old but but I think if
54:14 frames still exist but so you could
54:17 potentially pop it in an iframe but but
54:19 maybe not even that
54:23 so gpts right now are like 6 days old so
54:27 I will I would think that they will give
54:31 us the ability to copy an embed link you
54:34 know when you share these things it's
54:36 just not there yet so I would say just
54:39 hold your horses on that or if you
54:41 really need it integrated then go build
54:43 an assistant using the API because the
54:46 the assistant API for for chat GPT is
54:48 essentially identical to how you build a
54:51 GPT okay so here's a GPT called since
54:55 City sipper and so I can
54:58 say I want a nice hot
55:01 TDY for the holidays but it's for
55:05 Thanksgiving not Christmas so can you
55:08 make something that's appropriate for
55:10 that
55:12 [Music]
55:12 [Laughter]
55:17 holiday a Thanksgiving themed hot ttty
55:19 an excellent choice for the holiday
55:21 Thanksgiving hot ttty recipe bourbon
55:23 honey lemon juice pumpkin
55:27 spice a few cranberries and a slice of
55:30 orange yeah it's not bad and then it
55:33 tells you how to make it so so what this
55:35 does is it generates um Vegas twists on
55:40 classic Cocktails so it tells you how to
55:42 do it and then it will generate an image
55:44 of the cocktail so now it's going to go
55:46 do it can I upload images for GPT to
55:48 create an advert for me yes you can and
55:52 I can show you how to do
55:53 that all right so so there's our little
55:56 hot toddy looks lovely where's my mousy
56:00 mouse look at that lovely it's lovely I
56:04 have a drink that right
56:06 now Jim Jim will you bring me my hot toy
56:12 please yes rather M tasty more
56:19 orange all
56:21 right love all you sounds of music fans
56:25 of music
56:30 fans uh so a needle pulling a thread
56:33 okay anyway back to
56:36 this so that's a
56:38 GPT and how do you make them okay it
56:42 this is so ridiculously simple so
56:44 everyone on the on the call if you
56:47 haven't been following along start
56:48 following long now go to chat GPT if you
56:52 haven't paid your 20 bucks and you can
56:53 afford the 20 bucks I'm not telling you
56:55 to go broke here if you can afford the
56:56 20 bucks pay the 20 bucks and join me so
57:02 below chat GPT and Below all these
57:05 private gpts or these you know
57:07 personalized ones there's this explore
57:09 button so click the explore
57:11 button and now you're going to see a big
57:13 long list of crap and at the top you're
57:17 going to say create a GPT in beta and
57:19 you're going to go
57:20 plus and you come to this page the GPT
57:23 Builder page and over there's a preview
57:26 so it's a split pane where here's where
57:28 you build it there's where you test it
57:30 what's amazing about this is that as
57:33 you're building it it's testable
57:35 immediately so you can start playing
57:37 with this thing like you can see what
57:38 this thing is live like while you're
57:40 building it the other amazing thing
57:42 about this there's two two pains here
57:44 there's the create pain which is
57:46 basically just like chat gbt so we're
57:48 just going to talk this app into
57:49 existence and then you've got configure
57:52 where you can go in and and dial some
57:54 [ __ ] in and add some other features and
57:56 there is incredible depth down at the
57:59 bottom here but we're just going to
58:00 start really basic okay so we're going
58:03 to
58:06 say I want to create a
58:09 GPT that prompts someone to upload an
58:12 image and then I will turn that image
58:17 into a sidewalk truck Chuck
58:24 drawing
58:28 all
58:35 right just laid off by HP any thoughts
58:38 on how to use chat GPT to get another
58:40 job uh first of all John I'm sorry to
58:43 hear that that
58:44 sucks
58:48 um I yeah I mean well so so a couple of
58:51 things you can absolutely use chat GPT
58:54 for things like
58:55 writing cover letters like very
58:58 personalized cover letters to hiring
59:00 managers um you can copy and paste or
59:04 you can upload
59:05 your they didn't this this didn't exist
59:08 four days ago but it does now you could
59:10 upload a PDF of your resume you could
59:13 upload text files or even probably
59:16 screenshots of job
59:18 descriptions or just copy and paste them
59:21 into the prompt and then you could say
59:23 write me a cover letter for this job to
59:26 this hiring manager who's got this
59:28 LinkedIn profile and it will go look at
59:31 their LinkedIn profile look at your
59:33 resume look at their job and write you a
59:35 cover letter for it you could probably
59:38 even have it rewrite your resume per job
59:41 opportunity focusing on on your
59:43 experiences that are best for
59:45 that how about we name this chalk art
59:48 Creator how does that sound good to you
59:52 that sounds boring and like you're not
59:53 really trying anymore period are you
59:56 tired question mark have you been
59:58 talking to Sydney question
1:00:00 mark is Siri jealous of you too question
1:00:04 mark can you please make me five titles
1:00:07 that suck less question
1:00:13 mark now if I did that with Bing Bing
1:00:16 would shut me
1:00:19 down I can see you're looking for
1:00:21 something more creative and engaging
1:00:23 pavement Picasso there we we go chalk
1:00:26 magic maker sidewalk Sketcher concrete
1:00:29 canvas crafter asphalt artist I think
1:00:32 it's pavement
1:00:34 Picasso pavement Picasso it is my
1:00:37 goodness you're good when I give you a
1:00:39 little salt in the
1:00:42 wound and if you're like Kyle why are
1:00:46 you talking to it as if it's human just
1:00:48 would if you start doing this a lot
1:00:50 you'll see you should go read so I wrote
1:00:53 an article today inspired by the live
1:00:55 last
1:00:56 night
1:00:59 [Music]
1:01:03 um oh it's making me log in what the
1:01:07 heck I am so tired of being kicked
1:01:12 out like I'm signed into 73 [ __ ]
1:01:16 devices like if I'm signing into a
1:01:19 device that I've signed into four times
1:01:21 today maybe just [ __ ] let me be there
1:01:27 anyway if you go to LinkedIn and look
1:01:29 for Kyle Shannon that's
1:01:31 me and then in my posts or no in my
1:01:35 articles I wrote an article today called
1:01:40 AI isn't a robot it's
1:01:43 us
1:01:45 um just talking
1:01:48 about why these things feel so
1:01:52 magical and and why I think you know
1:01:55 calling them Bots and you know even
1:01:57 calling them AI kind of does them a
1:01:59 disservice for what they really are so
1:02:02 anyway go check that
1:02:07 out okay so there's our sidewalk P or
1:02:11 pavement Picasso with the little chalk
1:02:13 drawings here's a picture would you like
1:02:15 any changes okay so over here now we've
1:02:19 got pavement Picasso guides image
1:02:21 uploads for sidewalk chalk drawing
1:02:24 transformation
1:02:25 uh we're going to go change that subhead
1:02:28 that's awful so you can go over here to
1:02:30 configure and you can just change this
1:02:32 [ __ ] right so it's like um
1:02:35 upload an image get
1:02:40 back a chalk drawing draw
1:02:46 drawing of it exclamation point
1:02:50 okay so there we
1:02:53 go so we'll see how good it did its
1:02:57 thing so what I'm going to do now is I'm
1:02:59 going to go get an
1:03:04 image that one's
1:03:10 funny wait where am I oh I'm in
1:03:12 documents that's not where I want to be
1:03:14 that is not where I want to be
1:03:16 people come on Cletus what are you doing
1:03:20 Cletus get over here boy hey boy what
1:03:23 are you doing boy
1:03:28 that already looks like a chalk drawing
1:03:31 enough was that my head moving oh yeah
1:03:34 it's a
1:03:38 [Music]
1:03:40 video actually that's kind of cool let's
1:03:43 go let's go do that one all right so
1:03:47 we're going to say
1:03:48 open I'm going to
1:03:51 see uh
1:03:53 make this
1:03:56 a
1:04:01 drawing what I haven't figured out yet
1:04:04 is I haven't figured out how to get it
1:04:06 to prompt
1:04:08 you Kyle I'm writing an article inspired
1:04:11 by your article that should be ready in
1:04:13 the morning oh that's awesome lunatick
1:04:14 please share it with me I'll I'll uh I
1:04:17 will share far and wide that's super
1:04:21 cool hm something seems to have gone
1:04:24 wrong did it was it trying to make the
1:04:25 image
1:04:32 regenerate I guess Sam's up there
1:04:34 working on the servers he he's like hey
1:04:37 Sacha Sacha nadala listen we're going to
1:04:40 need you to go on ahead and plug in a
1:04:41 couple of more servers there
1:04:44 buddy oh how many do you need you need
1:04:46 like
1:04:47 uh like 20 more like
1:04:53 2000 h see people are trying to make
1:04:55 images on Tik Tok right now and it's not
1:04:58 working and boy I do I have some egg on
1:05:00 my face I charge them 20 bucks a month
1:05:03 for this software that's worth like
1:05:05 8,000 a month but uh they still expect
1:05:08 it to work it's just it's crazy it's
1:05:10 crazy Sacha yeah well you know what are
1:05:13 you gonna do there Samu old boy hey have
1:05:16 you talked to Elon lately no no no you
1:05:19 know Elon gave me the 50 million and the
1:05:22 minute you and I became friends he got
1:05:23 all jealous and he went off and now he's
1:05:25 making that that grety grock talk or
1:05:28 like he's grank I think it's called is
1:05:30 it called grank it's it's about a
1:05:32 football player it's a it's a large
1:05:34 language model about a football I don't
1:05:36 know what it anyway apparently there's a
1:05:39 persistent issue so we can't check our
1:05:41 stupid thing dang RI them FR them Rock
1:05:44 them sck them anyway gpts are awesome
1:05:48 and they work perfect every time I don't
1:05:50 know why you would doubt me um but
1:05:53 anyway okay so now that it's made Let's
1:05:55 assume that it made it pretty chalk
1:05:56 drawing for us if it didn't there's
1:05:59 there's two ways to to improve things so
1:06:03 one is you can go back over to this side
1:06:05 and you can go to create and you can
1:06:07 just tell it hey it didn't do something
1:06:09 I want you to change it what I've
1:06:11 noticed
1:06:12 about doing editing of these things from
1:06:16 the create mode like I feel like create
1:06:18 is good for the initial creation but if
1:06:21 you want to dial something in I would
1:06:24 just go change the prompt itself I would
1:06:27 just add things like you could do
1:06:29 something like um
1:06:33 follow
1:06:34 these
1:06:36 rules let's let's try something here um
1:06:39 I'm going to I'm going to put a bullet
1:06:41 in front of it just so it knows it's one
1:06:42 of the rules so I'm going to say
1:06:46 um prompt the
1:06:49 user to
1:06:52 upload an image image before they say
1:06:58 anything I don't know if that's possible
1:07:00 I don't think it is but whatever let's
1:07:02 try um when
1:07:06 they
1:07:09 upload
1:07:12 immediately convert that image into a
1:07:19 Chuck
1:07:23 drawing
1:07:30 then
1:07:32 um
1:07:34 follow up with a
1:07:39 poem that
1:07:41 describes the
1:07:44 drawing period the
1:07:48 poem
1:07:51 should
1:07:52 be funny
1:07:55 and
1:07:55 cute and
1:07:59 safe for a grade
1:08:03 schooler okay so so you can just go add
1:08:07 [ __ ] to it and then it's basically
1:08:10 adding it over here when you're
1:08:13 uhoh rut R Bob okay are we back what's
1:08:17 going on here okay I I had a hang there
1:08:19 for a minute it was looking
1:08:21 ugly so if we're happy with this now we
1:08:24 can go to save and there's three options
1:08:29 there's just save it for yourself anyone
1:08:32 with the link can see it and it's public
1:08:34 and so the public one they're going to
1:08:37 be launching a GPT store at the end of
1:08:39 the month and so if you want to put it
1:08:43 out there great and then you say confirm
1:08:46 and we'll see if this actually saves
1:08:47 because it looks like their servers are
1:08:49 pooping the bed but anyway there it is
1:08:52 okay there's no way for me to it it
1:08:54 cannot prompt
1:08:56 me transform your photo into a sidewalk
1:08:59 Chuck
1:09:01 Masterpiece sounds like a fun and
1:09:03 creative process upload the
1:09:07 photo oh sidewalk Picasso oh
1:09:12 nice this is from Ted Ted did a sidewalk
1:09:16 drawing that's pretty
1:09:23 cool
1:09:29 um that's
1:09:31 chickens this was this was I think we're
1:09:35 g to do this one we're gonna upload the
1:09:38 picture of the chicken dude I'm just GNA
1:09:41 say
1:09:42 go go all right come on pavement Picasso
1:09:46 make me a party picture make me a party
1:09:51 picture all right so whoever asked can
1:09:54 you how do you do this I've been talking
1:09:58 way more than I've been working here and
1:09:59 what's this taking us 15 minutes you can
1:10:01 knock these things out literally in
1:10:03 minutes like Joker did the uh the champy
1:10:06 one in
1:10:08 minutes did we get
1:10:11 it we
1:10:15 did that's great okay but now if I want
1:10:19 to fix it I can go up here to the upper
1:10:21 left and I can say edit GPT and that
1:10:24 takes us back
1:10:25 here
1:10:28 and I'm going to
1:10:34 say don't change anything about wait
1:10:38 don't change anything about the current
1:10:40 prompt structure but please
1:10:43 add that I want the style of the chalk
1:10:47 drawing to
1:10:48 be very creative and interpretive period
1:10:52 it doesn't need to be super
1:10:54 representative period I want it to look
1:10:57 like high art drawn by a sidewalk
1:11:02 artist all right and so now it's going
1:11:05 to go off and it's going to fix our
1:11:07 stuff the reason I said that [ __ ] about
1:11:09 don't change the other stuff is I've
1:11:10 kind of noticed over the past days doing
1:11:12 this live here is that the every time I
1:11:17 make a little change using the create
1:11:20 mode it seems to like overwrite the
1:11:22 other [ __ ] so let's see I've updated the
1:11:25 gpt's behavior to create Tru drawings
1:11:27 that are more creative and interpretive
1:11:29 resembling highly skilled artists
1:11:31 anything you like else you'd like to
1:11:33 adjust or add I'm just going to say
1:11:39 no and it should all right if you have
1:11:42 any more questions it's ready to
1:11:44 transform your drawing so I'm just going
1:11:45 to say update and it's going to take us
1:11:48 back
1:11:51 out I'm going say vew GPT so here's our
1:11:54 GPT now this is something I can share
1:11:56 with the world in fact I'm going to so
1:11:59 so earlier I talked about the AI
1:12:03 salon and the AI Salon
1:12:07 Discord and where is it oh it's way out
1:12:12 there and we have in the salon Discord
1:12:15 so this is the salon Discord we have a
1:12:17 show and tell Channel or and we have a
1:12:19 share your gpts channel so I'm going to
1:12:22 pop in there
1:12:24 oh the Pop-Tart
1:12:27 bot a fun and friendly guide for
1:12:29 Pop-Tart Enthusiast Ted that's super
1:12:31 cool all right so I'm just putting in my
1:12:33 sidewalk my my pavement
1:12:36 Picasso all right upload an image get a
1:12:39 Chuck drawing back of it so that's now
1:12:40 shared so if you're on the salon Discord
1:12:43 go down to share your gpts and you can
1:12:44 go play with the thing I just made how
1:12:47 cool is this that we can [ __ ] do this
1:12:49 we're in a world now where we can talk
1:12:51 an app into existence that does
1:12:53 remarkable [ __ ] has is anyone else like
1:12:57 deal like [ __ ] is blown away by this
1:13:00 on a nightly [ __ ] Bas as I am am I
1:13:03 just I just drunk the Kool-Aid too much
1:13:05 is that what's going on
1:13:08 people uh uh uh
1:13:14 uh oh let's do
1:13:17 champy oh yeah Champ's getting a chalk
1:13:20 drawing Champ's getting a chalk drawing
1:13:23 got
1:13:30 that's going to be a nice Chuck drawing
1:13:40 too let's hope it's pretty I told it to
1:13:43 make it artistic and it might make it
1:13:45 look like poo poo you can make money
1:13:47 with ch hi champy oh
1:13:52 ah does that look like a a Chuck
1:13:54 drawing here's a playful poem in a world
1:13:58 of gray pavement and sidewalk bounds
1:14:01 lies a masterpiece where imagination
1:14:03 abounds a spotted pup on a quilt so
1:14:06 cheerfully sat with his tongue Laing out
1:14:08 a cute little
1:14:10 Pat he his spots are a dance of Shadow
1:14:13 and light and well that sort of looks
1:14:15 like him that's got his eye although all
1:14:17 these dots he looks like a Dalmatian and
1:14:19 that doesn't look like a chalk drawing
1:14:21 sidewalk drawing oh yeah it is yeah
1:14:23 that's a sidewalk oh and it said to make
1:14:26 it high end look at that look at there
1:14:29 how do we integrate these into canva um
1:14:33 well so janola canva just
1:14:37 added so right now you don't right now
1:14:39 these gpts are kind of Monolithic
1:14:44 little places without a home because
1:14:46 they haven't launched the store yet
1:14:47 that's launching at the end of the month
1:14:50 so and it it'll it'll probably be
1:14:52 delayed because if if they're if they're
1:14:54 starting to Halt GPT plus subscriptions
1:14:57 because they're too busy they're
1:15:00 probably distracted from launching the
1:15:02 GPT store so I would say mid December is
1:15:06 when we'll see the GPT store you know be
1:15:09 pleasantly surprised if it's earlier
1:15:10 than that
1:15:14 um canva though has integrated a whole
1:15:17 [ __ ] ton of GPT in the canva itself
1:15:21 right so there's image generation tools
1:15:24 there's video like they Incorporated
1:15:26 Runway ml so you can incorporate video
1:15:29 tools into into canvas stuff make videos
1:15:33 um so I would just say go to go learn
1:15:35 all the AI tools within canva right now
1:15:38 um I haven't used them a ton so I can't
1:15:40 vouch for the quality but all the canva
1:15:42 people seem really excited about it all
1:15:45 right all right people all right okay
1:15:50 okay okay want to go make another
1:15:52 picture let's go make another picture
1:15:54 let's go make another picture uh let me
1:15:56 see um oh you know we we can try here
1:16:00 um great can you try another one that's
1:16:04 much more
1:16:10 impressionistic we'll see if we can get
1:16:12 it we'll see if it goes full Rogue and
1:16:14 just goes impressionistic or if it's an
1:16:17 impressionistic sidewalk
1:16:22 drawing
1:16:27 oh and it's called pavement Picasso it
1:16:29 should do truck drawings that look like
1:16:30 Picasso what the [ __ ] am I doing what
1:16:33 will the GPT store be to sell things or
1:16:35 trade Marta raised the wolf oh that's
1:16:39 kind of cool oh and it's it's very much
1:16:41 and it's still making a poem so that's
1:16:44 good it doesn't look like my dog at all
1:16:47 but that's very much more
1:16:48 impressionistic and kind of loose loose
1:16:50 chalk drawing style okay cool but I'm
1:16:53 going to going to go we got to go make
1:16:54 it in the style of Picasso
1:16:59 duh I realized I'm a bit of a dum dum
1:17:03 period you called it pavement
1:17:06 Picasso we should be doing chalk
1:17:11 drawings in the style of
1:17:14 Picasso please
1:17:16 update and keep all of the other
1:17:19 functionality of this app the
1:17:22 same
1:17:23 [Laughter]
1:17:30 there it says updating
1:17:34 GPT I've been uploading all these GPT
1:17:37 images to my canva to change to ping
1:17:41 yeah it's saving them in that stupid
1:17:43 [ __ ] web P or web P format which I'm
1:17:46 sure Geeks think is the best thing
1:17:49 except every other [ __ ] program can't
1:17:52 read them so it's like
1:17:54 G just pick a [ __ ] format people
1:17:59 let's do champy champy FY Fe Fimo mampy
1:18:04 champy that's some sad Gen
1:18:08 X what is it banana b
1:18:12 f done Picasso now transforms uploaded
1:18:15 images and digital representations but
1:18:17 style in the mag in the manner of P
1:18:20 Pablo Picasso's artwork everything else
1:18:23 remains the same ready to create some
1:18:25 masterpieces yes let me just say yes to
1:18:27 make sure it updates
1:18:29 [ __ ] so please go update it you dumb
1:18:34 computer
1:18:37 program we are
1:18:39 talking incredibly powerful applications
1:18:42 into existence are you kidding me how do
1:18:45 I join the salon Discord you mentioned
1:18:47 so what you
1:18:48 do is you
1:18:52 go by
1:18:54 [Music]
1:19:00 you go to a salon. a that thing at the
1:19:03 bottom
1:19:04 there and there's three links that are
1:19:07 the top three links are the most
1:19:08 important please read the first one the
1:19:10 first link is um about the salon and our
1:19:15 values and we talk about we want people
1:19:17 that are curious and that are explorers
1:19:20 and are collaborative and are inclusive
1:19:23 and
1:19:24 generous and so if you res if you um
1:19:26 resonate with those values great empathy
1:19:29 is one of them we want people that are
1:19:32 empathetic because this shit's scary for
1:19:34 a lot of
1:19:35 people and generous we want you teaching
1:19:38 what you
1:19:39 learn um and if you resonate with that
1:19:42 great the second link is the link to the
1:19:45 Discord now when you join the Discord
1:19:47 it's going to dump you into introduce
1:19:49 yourself what 90% of the people do is
1:19:52 they just click the button and don't
1:19:54 introduce themselves they just go okay
1:19:56 I'm in and they go look at other [ __ ] be
1:19:58 generous it's one of our values
1:20:01 introduce yourself tell us who you are
1:20:02 tell us what you do tell us where you
1:20:04 are in this AI Journey there's like no
1:20:06 shame if you're like I just stumbled on
1:20:09 Kyle's Tik Tok because I thought he
1:20:11 looked like Tom Arnold and now I'm
1:20:13 joining this because I think this is
1:20:14 cool great say that if you're like I've
1:20:17 been doing this for 30 years and you
1:20:18 generative AI people drive me [ __ ]
1:20:20 crazy but it's kind of intriguing great
1:20:22 say that all right and then the third
1:20:25 link on there is the link to our Meetup
1:20:27 go sign up for the
1:20:28 Meetup so that you get notifications
1:20:30 when we have our bi-weekly meetings the
1:20:32 next meeting is a week from tonight all
1:20:35 right I heard Discord is full I heard
1:20:38 Discord is full of virus and hackers
1:20:40 yeah well discord's just a a pain in the
1:20:44 ass if you're doing um if you're doing
1:20:48 nfts yes Discord is it don't click on
1:20:51 [ __ ] in Discord if you're clicking on
1:20:53 something to go buy an nft and make a
1:20:55 fortune cuz some [ __ ] idiot told you
1:20:57 to click on this and go make a fortune
1:20:59 that will be the quickest way to drain
1:21:00 your wallet oh that's very cute Ted Ted
1:21:03 Ted made a made a photo realistic
1:21:05 drawing of champy that's really good Ted
1:21:08 I think I feel like your skills are
1:21:10 really improving
1:21:14 buddy that's actually really cool
1:21:17 um so what was I saying oh Discord yeah
1:21:20 Discord sucks but the other thing tck is
1:21:22 we're moving moving off Discord to
1:21:24 Mighty networks in in a very short
1:21:27 amount of time so um so we're going to
1:21:30 do we're not going to do away with the
1:21:31 Discord altogether you're still going to
1:21:33 be able to go there and make uh mid
1:21:35 Journey images and geek out with people
1:21:37 and make Bots and things like that but
1:21:39 the primary Salon Community is going to
1:21:42 live on Mighty
1:21:44 networks all right let's go let's go
1:21:47 update our little PB pavement
1:21:52 Picasso
1:21:53 and what's cool about this as I'm
1:21:55 updating this the one that I shared will
1:21:57 get updated as well right so you could
1:21:59 have something out in the world and you
1:22:01 realize oh it's not doing what I want
1:22:03 you can go tweak it make it better all
1:22:06 right so we're going to view the
1:22:08 GPT let's go ahead and upload another
1:22:11 picture let's upload another picture oh
1:22:15 that's a good one all right the gummy
1:22:16 bear gummy bear
1:22:18 dancing I'm going to say
1:22:22 go
1:22:24 let's see what kind of chalk drawing we
1:22:26 get it should be a public
1:22:34 Picasso please hold on for a
1:22:36 moment wait what did it
1:22:39 say I'll process the image inspired I'll
1:22:42 craft a
1:22:43 poem your privacy and security of your
1:22:46 data of the utmost important your image
1:22:48 will only be used for this purpose oh
1:22:50 that's nice once the process is complete
1:22:53 I'll present you a digital truck drawing
1:22:55 that reimagines with a touch of Picasso
1:22:58 flare it errored out I'll go try
1:23:02 again we have patience for miracle
1:23:05 technology that's a little
1:23:08 janky we're P we're a patient we're a
1:23:11 patient
1:23:15 people oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
1:23:19 yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
1:23:30 all right one more
1:23:32 time try
1:23:36 [Laughter]
1:23:43 again I'm sorry but due to our content
1:23:48 policy I'm going to say this well you
1:23:52 wrote The Prompt for for the image so
1:23:53 maybe you could rewrite the prompt so it
1:23:56 doesn't violate your own content policy
1:23:58 period doesn't that seem to make sense
1:24:00 question
1:24:01 mark is he always so mean to the
1:24:04 computer it seems I I don't if I were
1:24:07 him I wouldn't be so rude to the robots
1:24:10 what if the robots remember what he says
1:24:12 and how he talks to them he talks to
1:24:14 them with much
1:24:15 disrespect they might turn out his
1:24:17 lights have you ever thought about that
1:24:20 they can control the lights you know
1:24:21 they control the electricity
1:24:24 that's what I
1:24:29 heard oh wait let's
1:24:37 [Music]
1:24:41 see you're absolutely right and I
1:24:43 apologize for the oversight let's revise
1:24:46 the prompt to align with our content
1:24:48 policy and try creating the image again
1:24:51 I'll take care of crafting a new
1:24:53 description in the image transformation
1:24:55 please hold on for a
1:24:56 moment this is great thank you for doing
1:24:59 this you're welcome side hustle what is
1:25:02 it side side
1:25:04 hustle
1:25:09 mamas side hustle mamas like
1:25:14 mamas oh do we have it oh it's not
1:25:18 exactly Picasso like but it's pretty
1:25:19 cool isn't that more mandre like but
1:25:21 anyway whatever
1:25:23 that's pretty cool there's the
1:25:26 original so it got the little bucket it
1:25:29 got all the little candies around him
1:25:31 he's not exactly
1:25:33 dancing there's my poem so it's still
1:25:35 doing poems and Hughes of chalk upon the
1:25:38 walk a bear so Grand does
1:25:42 stand
1:25:44 um now I was going to tell it it didn't
1:25:47 make something that stood okay anyway if
1:25:49 I go back and edit this now I'm going to
1:25:51 go just show you a couple other things
1:25:52 I'm not going to do this cuz it'll just
1:25:54 take too long
1:25:55 but some other things to pay attention
1:25:58 to down at the bottom so you've got
1:26:01 these things called conversation
1:26:02 starters it writes these for you these
1:26:04 are the things that show up as like
1:26:07 thought starters here depending on the
1:26:09 thing you write it may or may not get
1:26:11 these right you can write anything you
1:26:12 want in these or have none of them so if
1:26:14 you don't want it to have any um
1:26:16 conversation starters great if you want
1:26:18 it to have them you can have them you
1:26:19 can write write your own looks like you
1:26:21 can do up to five
1:26:23 this little button right here is
1:26:26 incredibly powerful incredibly powerful
1:26:30 but how powerful is it it is
1:26:34 incred it is
1:26:36 incredbly
1:26:38 powerful it's so powerful oh hey Mark
1:26:42 hey oh hi oh hi Mark hey hi hi
1:26:48 Mark
1:26:51 um this little thing right here from the
1:26:55 time I've been talking about Chachi BT
1:26:57 last November and I tell people about
1:27:00 what chat GPT
1:27:03 is all invariably where the conversation
1:27:07 goes is well can I upload my
1:27:09 data so I can chat GPT it and the answer
1:27:13 was no well the answer was go learn Lang
1:27:16 chain go learn the the five different um
1:27:20 technologies that make up Lang chain
1:27:23 and spin up a Google collab and write
1:27:25 yourself some python code to stitch all
1:27:27 that [ __ ] together and now they just
1:27:29 made it a button so just upload your
1:27:32 [ __ ] there and this is where I was I was
1:27:34 talking before about you could you could
1:27:36 create a um a uh a GPT of just the
1:27:40 transcript of a meeting and put that out
1:27:43 there for the people in the meeting to
1:27:44 go interact with the meeting uh the
1:27:46 capabilities web browsing Dolly image
1:27:48 generator and code interpreter these are
1:27:50 all incredibly powerful um modes of chat
1:27:54 GPT you can enable them or disable them
1:27:57 for your thing and then add actions
1:27:59 that's where you actually hook up apis
1:28:01 like zappier and things like that
1:28:03 sometimes I think Dolly gets surprised
1:28:06 by her images as we as
1:28:09 we are every so often yeah I think
1:28:12 that's probably right I think that's
1:28:15 probably right
1:28:17 Joker hey look invisible Inc so anyway
1:28:21 that's how you make a uh that's how you
1:28:23 make a j
1:28:25 p pretty cool isn't
1:28:28 it I want to go make another picture I
1:28:31 want to go make another
1:28:36 [Music]
1:28:39 picture oh those are no they're not
1:28:41 going to be
1:28:43 good what do I want what do I want
1:28:51 what
1:28:54 we'll do AI
1:28:57 Anonymous H and K it's been like two
1:29:01 minutes since I made an image in do hi
1:29:04 Kyle we all been there
1:29:06 buddy I'm making one right
1:29:09 now
1:29:11 yeah uh I like taters Tater
1:29:15 tasty all right
1:29:21 go
1:29:23 come on what's going on man hit my
1:29:26 submit button let's do
1:29:36 this let's see who do we get in here oh
1:29:40 look so first so whoever just signed up
1:29:43 for the Discord and actually introduced
1:29:46 yourself big thumbs up thank you for
1:29:48 that that was
1:29:51 awesome try again try a Little Help from
1:29:56 My
1:29:58 Friends what is go oh this is an edge
1:30:01 problem Oh Microsoft could you fix your
1:30:04 stupid [ __ ] browser
1:30:06 please fix your memory
1:30:12 problems it's it's just one of the uh
1:30:14 one of the downsides of working on a
1:30:16 Macintosh is
1:30:20 that companies like microsof soft that
1:30:23 uh prioritize the PC over the
1:30:27 Mac prioritize the PC over the Mac so
1:30:29 they software just [ __ ] sucks on the
1:30:32 Mac
1:30:34 um but it's better than it used to be
1:30:36 actually it's just got memory holes in
1:30:38 it you could drive a truck through
1:30:41 try uh uh try
1:30:45 again again try
1:30:49 again let's do this mhm nice neuron yeah
1:30:52 that was from uh Is It joker I think
1:30:55 Joker made a a GPT that reads
1:30:58 neurons it appears we've encountered a
1:31:05 misunderstanding oh God damn this
1:31:08 again okay great well you wrote The
1:31:11 Prompt for the image so maybe you could
1:31:12 rewrite it so it doesn't violate your
1:31:14 content policy period maybe you could
1:31:17 also send a note to the developers to
1:31:19 fix this stupid
1:31:21 bug
1:31:24 [Laughter]
1:31:30 ky's a little spicy tonight he's so
1:31:33 spicy he's so spicy I'm a llama and I'm

1:31:46 there I like them biscuits too mhm
1:31:49 potatoes
1:31:51 mhm I can proceed let me know if you'd
1:31:54 like to adjust this
1:32:00 idea
1:32:02 what no I want
1:32:06 it oh GPT you're sucking
1:32:12 tonight making me
1:32:21 cranky
1:32:30 all right we'll do hot guy hoty hot guy
1:32:32 and pretty
1:32:38 dog
1:32:42 this Microsoft fix your software
1:32:46 PL PL all right that's going to be our
1:32:49 source image let's see if we get hot
1:32:52 chalk drawing with hot chalk guy and hot
1:32:55 chalk Jo
1:32:56 dog I look forward to learning in
1:32:59 here language word natural language is
1:33:02 the new user experience yep stumbled
1:33:04 upon the Tik Tok and love it I've been
1:33:06 slowly learning chat gbt yes ready to
1:33:09 learn how to make a GPT I use CA every
1:33:11 day for work craan if you're still in
1:33:13 here hopefully you've been playing along
1:33:15 and you've already made your own GPT you
1:33:17 should be making a GPT right now GPT is
1:33:19 testy sometimes you sound like Gary Bucy
1:33:22 when he says ters ters what was that
1:33:26 that [ __ ] that that [ __ ] clip
1:33:28 going around to him where he's like
1:33:30 gravy sausage or he saids something
1:33:32 someone asked him a normal question and
1:33:34 he just goes gravy sausage or some
1:33:37 [ __ ] crazy ass thing man his brain
1:33:40 got scrambled in that bike accident oh
1:33:42 that's [ __ ] beautiful good
1:33:49 Lord
1:33:51 Dag
1:33:53 so let's try something
1:33:58 here please make this a 9x6 vertical
1:34:01 image with the
1:34:07 word AI learn I'll do it in all caps
1:34:15 learn learning
1:34:19 lab and I'm going to say
1:34:23 I love
1:34:27 I love this please make this a 9 by6
1:34:31 vertical image with the words AI
1:34:34 learning
1:34:39 lab on the top all right let's see if we
1:34:44 can get it to make something not sucky
1:34:46 that's got our words on it there's a
1:34:48 race to buy AI website addresses and you
1:34:52 know the the AI the the fraking AI
1:34:55 domains are not cheap I own two of them
1:34:58 now and they are [ __ ]
1:35:00 pricey I Own Story vine. a because
1:35:03 that's my company and I
1:35:06 own the salon. AI because that's my
1:35:10 community it's my birthday and it's been
1:35:12 a rough day I'm sorry
1:35:13 Rhonda riggity that's sucks happy
1:35:16 birthday though hopefully hopefully we
1:35:19 provide you a little mert here and a
1:35:21 lovely picture of hot guy and hot
1:35:26 dog did it did it do
1:35:30 it oh yeah look well I didn't really
1:35:32 spell it
1:35:35 right it's not as good this one's much
1:35:38 better we so we'll go into Photoshop and
1:35:41 turn this one into into something oh you
1:35:43 want to see that yeah let's do that okay
1:35:45 so here's what we're going to do people
1:35:47 so we got this lovely drawing here his
1:35:49 head's kind of chopped off and it might
1:35:51 be nice ni to see his shoulders and
1:35:53 things like that so we're going to go
1:35:56 save image
1:35:57 [Laughter]
1:35:59 as we're going to call it
1:36:03 Picasso Guy
1:36:06 dog and we're just going to save it to
1:36:08 the desktop which is going to drive you
1:36:10 OCD people crazy why don't you put it in
1:36:12 a folder Kyle so you can find it some
1:36:14 other time when you're looking for it
1:36:16 cuz that's not how my brain works
1:36:18 okay okay okay there
1:36:22 Sally Sally organizational mistress Hut
1:36:27 all right we are going to go now go go
1:36:31 now goads goads he said
1:36:35 goads um we're going to go to photoshop
1:36:39 Photoshop
1:36:41 photo
1:36:48 [Music]
1:36:50 Photoshop
1:36:52 Ron dity love you thank you so
1:36:56 much happy happy birthday I'm sorry it's
1:36:58 been a rough day rough days on your
1:37:00 birthday are the [ __ ] worst aren't
1:37:02 they um okay so we're going to open
1:37:06 this Picasso Guy dog in the webp format
1:37:11 which photos thankfully Photoshop can at
1:37:13 least understand this all right so I'm
1:37:15 going to make that a little smaller and
1:37:16 then we're going to grab the crop
1:37:19 tool and we're going to slide this down
1:37:22 and we're going to slide these out a
1:37:23 little
1:37:26 bit and we're going to slide this up a
1:37:29 fair
1:37:30 amount yeah like there and now we're
1:37:32 just going to do so so if you've not
1:37:35 used Photoshop this is called generative
1:37:38 expand I think but whatever the
1:37:41 generative fill generative expand I
1:37:43 could type things in here or I can just
1:37:45 leave it and if I just leave it it's
1:37:47 going to fill in the [ __ ] on the outside
1:37:49 based on what it sees and it generally
1:37:51 does what so something like this it it
1:37:52 should do a really good job with
1:37:56 this and so we will now have a lovely
1:38:00 lovely
1:38:03 lovely oh that's
1:38:06 cool that's
1:38:08 Neato daddy like let's zoom in is
1:38:19 this oh those are oh I see what they did
1:38:22 here or they what what the what the what
1:38:26 the model did those are like
1:38:28 photorealistic rocks around so so this
1:38:31 is kind of like a Roman sidewalk with
1:38:34 with a a flat slab in it that's got the
1:38:36 drawing on it that's kind of cool though
1:38:38 but let's um let's go on
1:38:42 ahead grab the type tool we go Open
1:38:45 Sands extra bold and we'll go
1:38:49 AI learning
1:38:53 lab we'll select all that we'll grab all
1:38:57 this we'll
1:39:01 grab what color do we want do we want
1:39:03 blue I think we want this
1:39:10 yellow or maybe we want a green do we
1:39:12 want a green no we want a
1:39:20 yellow
1:39:23 come on man give me a color that doesn't
1:39:27 suck God dang it do I got to go in here
1:39:30 and pick colors for my own damn self
1:39:33 apparently so Jim all right let's go up
1:39:36 here we're going to make that I think
1:39:38 120 is going to be too
1:39:40 big two wait what did I do what did I do
1:39:44 what have I done people one two oh bang
1:39:48 too big knew it 90 bang
1:39:55 no what' you do what' you do Tuesday
1:39:58 night I watched some guy try to figure
1:40:00 out how to use Photoshop that sounds
1:40:02 awful it was pretty
1:40:06 bad a uh learning lab I think we want
1:40:10 that all caps don't we a uh learning no
1:40:14 we
1:40:17 don't come on there we go we're going to
1:40:21 go layers where's my
1:40:24 layers where's my layers where's my
1:40:26 layers come on people just have a little
1:40:29 patience this is going to be worth it to
1:40:32 [Laughter]
1:40:38 me okay we're going to go there we're
1:40:40 going to go blending options we're going
1:40:41 to go drop
1:40:44 shadow there we go now you can read it
1:40:47 you can read it it looks all per per
1:40:49 nice then we're going to get cro we're
1:40:51 going to crop that [ __ ] out cuz we don't
1:40:53 want it to be about the Rocks we want it
1:40:54 to be about the pretty
1:40:58 [Music]
1:41:01 picture that's pretty nice that's pretty
1:41:04 nice right boom so now I'm going to
1:41:07 export that on out ja back jip B export
1:41:11 to Quick
1:41:13 PNG well you know if you don't say if
1:41:16 you save to regular PNG you have more
1:41:18 control over I know people just shut up
1:41:21 I'm lazy and I like it that way save it
1:41:26 all right then we're going to go to this
1:41:28 here thingy we're going go like that and
1:41:30 then we're going to go like this and
1:41:31 we're going to go over here and we go
1:41:33 like that then we're go down here and
1:41:35 then we're go like that then we're going
1:41:36 to find our little picture there it is
1:41:38 and then we're going to drag our little
1:41:39 picture right in our little
1:41:41 collection look at that now I got that
1:41:45 pretty picture in with all these other
1:41:46 pictures you see there's a method to
1:41:48 Madness it's just [ __ ] Madness
1:41:54 it's just [ __ ] madness here they call
1:41:58 it Chad add for a reason all right
1:42:02 people what you just witnessed there was
1:42:04 what they call a hyperfocus tunnel right
1:42:07 it's not rocket science it's
1:42:10 add all right fantastic B all right well
1:42:14 I'm sorry is anyone still here there's
1:42:16 still 107 people here I figured I
1:42:19 figured everyone would have left by now
1:42:20 we lost a good chunk hey do me a favor I
1:42:23 I'll do I'll do another 15 or 20 minutes
1:42:25 in here do me a favor share the live and
1:42:28 and especially share it if if the people
1:42:32 you share it with will be cranky that
1:42:33 you shared AI stuff with
1:42:38 them because I think I think it's
1:42:41 important it's important for them to be
1:42:45 annoyed right now and then maybe they'll
1:42:47 stumble in here they'll be like why did
1:42:49 you send me that thing that guy was
1:42:50 weird weird why are you watching
1:42:53 geriatric people teach each other how to
1:42:55 use Tik Tok it doesn't make any sense to
1:42:57 me have you lost your
1:43:01 mind oh by the
1:43:03 way notice what I just did there if if
1:43:07 you've been paying attention for the
1:43:08 last 10 minutes um I got an image that I
1:43:12 liked I tried to get chat GPT to add
1:43:15 words to it it misspelled them it really
1:43:17 [ __ ] up the image like this is a much
1:43:19 better image so there's a point at which
1:43:22 just cut your losses with the AI stuff
1:43:24 like let the AI get you to
1:43:26 80% and then go use your other tools
1:43:28 right you don't have to use AI for
1:43:30 everything right just so like that was
1:43:32 why I like [ __ ] it let's go over to
1:43:33 photoshop we'll use generative fill
1:43:35 we'll you know sort of blow the doors
1:43:37 off this thing and then we'll just put
1:43:39 in some type on our own and it looks
1:43:41 nice I mean it's it's pretty it's just
1:43:44 pretty I like pretty things do you not
1:43:48 like pretty things I don't know why you
1:43:50 people don't like pretty
1:43:52 things I've tried to tell you people for
1:43:55 a long long time get the pretty
1:44:04 things we're off doing our own add
1:44:07 Creations while you're doing yours Kyle
1:44:08 oh that's cool so this is one of my
1:44:10 favorite things here so let's go to look
1:44:12 at it regulars oh cool there's sidewalk
1:44:14 Picasso I bet they're sharing in show
1:44:16 and tell where are you
1:44:18 sharing you see Kyle can you try
1:44:21 creating an ephemeral GPT with reference
1:44:25 files being either from a zip or a
1:44:29 GitHub or all the files from a repo in a
1:44:32 GitHub and then ask AI to use code
1:44:34 interpreter to add XYZ features or
1:44:37 perform ABC refactor I'm watching you
1:44:40 live on Tik
1:44:41 Tok
1:44:43 um I could Kyle if I knew what most of
1:44:47 that meant
1:44:50 um
1:44:52 so I would encourage you to go build
1:44:59 this I think you could absolutely do
1:45:01 this so when I built the
1:45:06 um when I built
1:45:08 the Biden the AI executive order
1:45:13 Explorer um it
1:45:16 was I just pointed it to a website and I
1:45:19 said use this website is the source for
1:45:21 that GPT so I think you could I think
1:45:25 you could just create a GPT right now
1:45:28 unless you don't have access to
1:45:30 gp4 I think you could
1:45:33 just point it to a GitHub
1:45:36 repo and then tell it to reference that
1:45:39 GitHub
1:45:40 repo and generate code or refactor the
1:45:43 code I think you could absolutely do
1:45:45 that I mean you I you don't even need to
1:45:48 build a GPT for that I just experiment
1:45:50 with that with regular GPT and see if it
1:45:52 works I bet it would
1:45:54 work
1:45:58 um Kyle Boer thank you very
1:46:01 much forever hook great job Kyle thank
1:46:04 you meanwhile all I can think is that
1:46:06 dog is non plus good word daily crunch
1:46:10 very good word non plus
1:46:13 solid I invalid invited a colleague from
1:46:16 work here oh I'm sorry now I can't
1:46:18 gossip at work out of fear never again
1:46:21 yeah that's rough
1:46:22 thonus plus plus I'm a bit of a wild
1:46:26 card too you get someone from work here
1:46:27 they're like why did you invite me to
1:46:29 that idiot is this is what you do on
1:46:33 your
1:46:34 downtime good good Lord theonia
1:46:37 seriously
1:46:40 really yeah yeah Peter we're going to
1:46:43 need you to go on ahead and come on in
1:46:45 on Saturday yeah yeah oh Hey listen uh
1:46:49 one more thing Peter um H yeah we're
1:46:53 going to need you to go on ahead and
1:46:55 come on in on Sunday
1:46:57 too
1:47:01 yeah we are enjoying the entertainment
1:47:04 thank you te baky te backy appreciate
1:47:07 the kind words kind words are nice I
1:47:08 like kind words kind words sting less
1:47:11 than nasty words nasty words do sting
1:47:14 kind words sting less this is one of the
1:47:16 things I've learned in my life you're
1:47:18 welcome this is why they call it the AI
1:47:20 learning lab
1:47:20 [Laughter]
1:47:23 wow look at the
1:47:28 time time goes slow when you're watching
1:47:31 the AI learning lab
1:47:33 huh huh
1:47:34 [Laughter]
1:47:37 Joker oh man Crystal lover here I love
1:47:40 your GPT very cool cunning
1:47:45 stunts all all of you people with the
1:47:47 with the nearly nasty GPT names are
1:47:50 making me very happy very happy
1:47:59 indeed to you this is a poodle to me
1:48:02 this is miraculous this image just came
1:48:04 for your chalk GPT Kyle Shannon it's a
1:48:07 perfect replication of my sweet puff who
1:48:10 I lost a while back a I'm over here in
1:48:13 tears shouldn't this be a chalk drawing
1:48:16 it's an actual picture of him well I
1:48:19 think what's his name Puff I think puff
1:48:21 wanted to come visit you
1:48:23 again we've got we had a we had a a
1:48:26 black lab named Tucker who who went to
1:48:28 soon like we adopted him when he was
1:48:31 like seven or eight and then he just he
1:48:32 just went too soon we only had him for
1:48:34 like three years and it was like it was
1:48:37 every time we see a black lab I know it
1:48:39 totally breaks you out losing dogs sucks
1:48:41 man dogs are the [ __ ] best so yes jrc
1:48:45 it should be a chalk drawing but listen
1:48:49 it's so beautiful it's it's such a cute

1:56:47 start stabilizing the code base
1:56:53 every [ __ ] piece of software that
1:56:55 like the last decade of software is just
1:57:00 like no there's no instructions for it
1:57:03 no it's not stable yes we're going to
1:57:06 change it at a

1:57:39 oh damn beat
1:57:43 me can you create social media emojis
1:57:47 and emoticons in chat gbt
1:57:53 uh yeah I
1:57:57 think there's probably a lot of ways to
1:57:59 do
1:58:08 it you could do it with code interpreter
1:58:10 where you could have code interpreter
1:58:12 build you like an Excel file full of
1:58:15 those things but you can just get those
1:58:16 anywhere if you mean original ones
1:58:18 everything is held together with strings
1:58:20 and bubble gum behind the scenes I know
1:58:22 Pate it it's so true it's just like like
1:58:25 you know listen I've got an 11-year-old
1:58:27 software company I know what where the
1:58:30 [ __ ] pieces of duct tape are in that
1:58:32 thing it's it's staggering the thing is
1:58:34 still running we just replaced our
1:58:36 entire camera library because it was
1:58:37 like three years old and it didn't it
1:58:40 didn't work on the new iPhone 15 our
1:58:43 11-year-old app was just like [ __ ] it
1:58:46 nope it's like God damn
1:58:48 it
1:58:52 yes just specify the
1:58:59 dimensions how can I use AI more
1:59:02 effectively as an accountant so what you
1:59:05 should be exploring young
1:59:08 man young man or old man or middle-aged
1:59:11 man or man with a large forehead like
1:59:15 myself
1:59:18 is
1:59:21 [Music]
1:59:23 I feel so bad for jrc that my little
1:59:26 sidewalk thing made an exact replica of
1:59:29 perer I think that's just your perer
1:59:31 wanting to wanting to say hello I think
1:59:33 that's what that is was very sweet um
1:59:37 okay we're going to go to chat GPT all
1:59:39 right as an
1:59:42 accountant there's there's probably a
1:59:44 lot of things you could be exploring
1:59:48 um so one thing thing you could do is
1:59:50 you could say
1:59:54 um uh let me see find
1:59:58 me the latest
2:00:03 accounting guidance on
2:00:08 um
2:00:10 pet
2:00:13 deductions uh uh uh uh uh you might not
2:00:16 be a tax accountant but let me see but
2:00:18 so it's browsing with Bing so so chat
2:00:20 GPT is now connected to the internet
2:00:23 again so you can go find recent
2:00:26 documents policy.com
2:00:29 p a wli i y did it know we were talking
2:00:33 about dogs is that what's going on
2:00:36 here IRS guidance pet deductions
2:00:40 2023 is what it's searching for it's
2:00:43 it's flailing at this point cuz I'm an
2:00:46 idiot oh service and emotional support
2:00:49 Port animal deduction I didn't I didn't
2:00:51 know this was a thing okay tax
2:00:53 deductions for working animals
2:00:54 performance animals moving expenses for
2:00:56 pets donations to pet Charities actually
2:01:00 so so for everyone else the the fact
2:01:03 that it could this quickly find this
2:01:05 stuff
2:01:07 right we are moving into a time where
2:01:10 people are going to be able
2:01:12 to um interact with tax
2:01:17 law as easily as you interact with code
2:01:19 and it it like the day might actually be
2:01:21 here right like I'm sure someone
2:01:23 actually as an accountant one of the
2:01:25 things that you could build is you could
2:01:26 build an accounting GPT um that might
2:01:29 make it easy to do certain things but
2:01:31 anyway okay so one thing you might do is
2:01:33 just just start learning to use chat
2:01:35 GPT um for research and writing and and
2:01:40 you know I I could also do something
2:01:42 like
2:01:44 this
2:01:46 um write
2:01:48 me a a offer and compromise
2:01:52 letter um for a client who hasn't filed
2:01:56 taxes for the last three years and wants
2:02:00 to make things
2:02:04 right certainly here's a sample letter
2:02:06 offering
2:02:09 compromise so you could just just start
2:02:12 experimenting
2:02:13 with um it doing so so where I would
2:02:17 start is start with things in your
2:02:19 business that take you a long time where
2:02:22 you don't add a lot of value right if
2:02:24 you write these same kind of letters
2:02:25 over and over again but you put in a
2:02:28 couple of variables you could have chat
2:02:30 GPT start to do that um you could um let
2:02:35 me show you one other thing
2:02:45 here
2:02:47 okay if I click on the little paperclip
2:02:50 I can upload files now well you can
2:02:52 upload CSV files
2:02:55 right so if I look
2:02:59 upzip zip
2:03:03 archive now they've all been archived
2:03:06 hang
2:03:11 on
2:03:15 arive
2:03:18 okay
2:03:23 let me get rid of that and that oh my
2:03:28 God and that and that and that okay so
2:03:35 I'm going to take this archive. ZIP and
2:03:37 I'm going to drop it into chat
2:03:40 GPT and so now it's uploaded this thing
2:03:43 now I know I know that this has got a
2:03:45 CSV file in it so I'm going to go give
2:03:48 me
2:03:50 an
2:03:50 analysis of the CSV file contained
2:03:55 here so this is called code interpreter
2:03:58 or Advanced Data analysis
2:04:01 so if you
2:04:03 upload an Excel file or a CSV
2:04:07 file and you ask it to analyze it and
2:04:10 and interact with it in any way it does
2:04:12 this really cool thing where rather than
2:04:15 just using the large language model
2:04:16 which is not good at math what this is
2:04:19 is doing it's actually writing and
2:04:21 executing python code on the back end to
2:04:24 go analyze the data so you could upload
2:04:27 let's say a client gave you a bunch of
2:04:29 uh Excel files that are really messy and
2:04:31 the data's the data is a mess you could
2:04:34 put it in here and have this thing clean
2:04:36 up the data and then you can even say at
2:04:38 the end of this um give me a subset of
2:04:42 the data that's cleaned up and save it
2:04:43 as an Excel file it can write Excel
2:04:46 files right it's this is I I would
2:04:48 really start exploring code interpreter
2:04:52 and uh Advanced Data analysis I know two
2:04:55 people on the IRS biggest Scuf list I
2:04:58 know the best
2:05:01 people
2:05:03 whoa um so let's see what did it do
2:05:06 here so it went and looked so by the way
2:05:09 if I do I have where it did the
2:05:13 work what's
2:05:17 this oh yeah that's a new thing this is
2:05:20 a new thing by the way when you give it
2:05:23 a prompt and it goes and does something
2:05:25 if you roll over that prompt see the
2:05:27 little pencil here if you click on that
2:05:29 you can now edit the prompt and resubmit
2:05:32 it so if you kind of [ __ ] up your
2:05:34 prompt you can actually go back and do
2:05:35 it so this is taxi data the files could
2:05:39 be used for a range of analyses such as
2:05:41 understanding taxi trip patterns EXA
2:05:43 evaluating Fair structures let's do that
2:05:46 um please help me understand the trend
2:05:49 in Fair
2:05:54 structures so here I'll show you this
2:05:55 see where it says analyzing and there's
2:05:57 a little drop down menu if I open that
2:06:00 here's the this is the python that it's
2:06:02 writing this is the code that it's
2:06:04 writing
2:06:05 to do the analysis so when people say oh
2:06:09 chat GPT is not good at math well it's
2:06:11 not good at math but python is and chat
2:06:13 GPT is good at coding and code
2:06:15 interpreter writes up you know stuff
2:06:19 look there it made a scatter chart so it
2:06:21 it wrote the code to make this chart to
2:06:24 to do the T the trip distance and fair
2:06:28 amount right so you got a nice you know
2:06:31 distributed little line here and then
2:06:34 you got some weird data that looks like
2:06:36 anomalous data cuz it's all completely
2:06:38 flat once you get
2:06:39 above 15 miles 17 miles something like
2:06:43 that but
2:06:45 anyway all right so I don't know I don't
2:06:48 know know if that gives you any answers
2:06:50 but Google's going to be in trouble I
2:06:53 Google Google I'm not counting them out
2:06:57 but where are
2:06:59 they come on goo Pate I know you can't
2:07:02 say anything but come on goog we were
2:07:05 supposed to see something in October we
2:07:06 got nothing you let you let open AI
2:07:10 launch all that [ __ ] last week without a
2:07:13 peep it's it's it's
2:07:17 rough it's rough I tell
2:07:24 you
2:07:33 no that's very sweet
2:07:36 jrc
2:07:39 um unfortunately every keyword analysis
2:07:42 I tried the generated code bombs every
2:07:45 time every keyword analysis the gener
2:07:49 ated code bombs every
2:07:51 time it depends what you're trying to do
2:07:55 Lawrence are you trying to write code
2:07:56 and then do analysis on a file or using
2:07:59 Code interpreter code interpreter listen
2:08:01 all these things are janky right now
2:08:04 everything everything as sexy as gpts
2:08:08 are they're janky as sexy as um code
2:08:12 interpreter is it's janky as sexy as DOI
2:08:16 is it's janky as sexy as the the GP
2:08:19 Vision which is just [ __ ] remarkable
2:08:21 is janky like it's all a mess right now
2:08:24 but that doesn't mean you shouldn't play
2:08:27 you shouldn't be exploring you shouldn't
2:08:28 be experimenting you shouldn't be
2:08:30 building it's just set your expectations
2:08:33 really low for the [ __ ] you build to be
2:08:36 any good just expect that anything you
2:08:39 generate with this stuff is going to be
2:08:42 maximum 80% what you want it to
2:08:45 be the rest of the 20% is on you
2:08:49 but by getting it to 80% you're going to
2:08:52 learn how to use these things and when
2:08:53 the better versions come along you're
2:08:55 going to be like o I know what to
2:08:58 do I know what to build if they fix that
2:09:02 I know what to build you will be happy
2:09:03 with it just be patient oh Pate Pate
2:09:09 Pate Pate works at the goo so I got to
2:09:12 be careful what I said about the goo
2:09:14 here cuz P's going to go back and tell
2:09:16 everybody Larry Serge
2:09:19 Kyle's been saying bad things about you
2:09:22 on the Tik
2:09:31 Tok I have a feeling the goo the goo is
2:09:35 going to come out
2:09:37 swinging it's it's in their interest
2:09:41 although did you see there was a cool
2:09:44 chart let me see if I can find that
2:09:46 chart this was this was pretty fast
2:09:48 fascinating did oh
2:10:02 wait do not make me two Factor
2:10:04 authenticate you bastards okay let's see
2:10:08 Google versus
2:10:11 Microsoft
2:10:13 Revenue
2:10:17 chart uhuh uh uh uh uh no no no no no no
2:10:21 no
2:10:32 no it was it was a chart version of
2:10:35 something that we know that
2:10:38 that Google's challenge is that the bulk
2:10:42 of their revenue comes from
2:10:46 advertising and Microsoft's doesn't
2:10:50 Microsoft's comes from software and
2:10:51 operating systems and [ __ ] like
2:10:56 that
2:10:59 um it was two round charts and like the
2:11:02 Google one was all red and the other one
2:11:04 was like multicolored and it just showed
2:11:06 the diversification of revenue for
2:11:09 Microsoft which puts Microsoft in a in
2:11:12 the cat bird seat in terms of disrupting
2:11:16 everything they can um versus Google but
2:11:21 Google's got more money than a
2:11:25 lot well I can't I don't know where it
2:11:27 is people I can't find it I can't find
2:11:30 it let's see Google let me see Google
2:11:34 Microsoft let me try
2:11:38 Revenue oh there it is all right yeah
2:11:41 look at these charts
2:11:44 so so this is all this red oh wait no
2:11:49 from here all this red is is
2:11:57 alphabet so it's advertising Google
2:12:01 YouTube Gmail Google something 69% of
2:12:05 their
2:12:06 revenue then you have the Google ad
2:12:08 platform the advertising platform so
2:12:10 these two are advertising and then I
2:12:12 guess this is other stuff so 18% other
2:12:14 stuff look at Microsoft's diversity and
2:12:17 revenue they got you know
2:12:21 office
2:12:23 Windows
2:12:24 LinkedIn which is
2:12:27 advertising what's this Azure that's
2:12:29 look at Azure
2:12:34 so wait so if I ever just disappear you
2:12:39 know what's up
2:12:41 exactly P you've said too much already
2:12:45 but this is this is the Dilemma right
2:12:47 this is why Google's in a bit of a
2:12:49 pickle right now because and and so why
2:12:53 am I saying
2:12:56 this their the advertising Revenue comes
2:12:59 from the more times you click the more
2:13:02 they get paid so they don't actually
2:13:05 want you finding stuff they want you
2:13:07 clicking on stuff until you find
2:13:09 it and if you click 150 times that's
2:13:13 better for them right so when they make
2:13:16 a tool that just answers your question
2:13:18 it blows up their model it blows it up
2:13:22 entirely which is why I think they've
2:13:24 been slow rolling it but they're going
2:13:26 to have to deal
2:13:28 because almost everyone that I know
2:13:31 that's taking the red pill with this AI
2:13:33 stuff is they don't use Google very much
2:13:37 we did a we did a little survey in here
2:13:39 the other day and it was a lot of the
2:13:42 people are not using Google as much as
2:13:44 they used to just search in general
2:13:46 whether it's Google or some other thing
2:13:48 but
2:13:49 crazy right cry as a cuckoo the SAG
2:13:52 after contract allowing production
2:13:54 companies to use gen AI to replace
2:13:57 actors yeah I know that's true what do
2:14:00 you think I think that the Writers Guild
2:14:02 had better negotiators than
2:14:04 sag I
2:14:06 can't I can't believe that they didn't
2:14:08 get some language in there that said if
2:14:11 a character's got a speaking line
2:14:13 there's got to be a
2:14:15 human you know credit or or something
2:14:18 like that that um I think it's a Miss by
2:14:21 sag I I mean i' I've seen a number of
2:14:23 videos today from sag actors on Tik Tok
2:14:26 going uh yeah um don't know who
2:14:29 negotiated this but this is [ __ ]
2:14:32 [ __ ] cuz the writers got you know a
2:14:35 a minimum number of writers in the room
2:14:38 for TV shows and they got royalties and
2:14:41 things like that
2:14:43 so but I don't know I mean quite frankly
2:14:47 The Producers at this this
2:14:50 point are are in an incredible
2:14:52 negotiating position right they're like
2:14:56 well we're going to use digital actors
2:15:00 we I would imagine how it went is we are
2:15:04 already doing this right like this ship
2:15:07 has already
2:15:08 sailed can't put the genie back in the
2:15:11 bottle is I'm I'm guessing how those
2:15:13 conversations went but I don't know I'm
2:15:15 seeking a dive buddy for Monteray very
2:15:18 cool
2:15:19 cool um what did I what was that what
2:15:22 did they use the most instead of Google
2:15:25 search Chat
2:15:28 GPT chat GPT or Bing Bing
2:15:33 search or B Bing
2:15:35 chat we use chat GPT never Google
2:15:38 anymore unless recent yeah and now even
2:15:41 with recent so so chat GPT the the base
2:15:45 model is now up to date to April 2023
2:15:48 they they improved that from September
2:15:51 2021 and it's now connected to the
2:15:53 internet with browse with Bing that's
2:15:55 that's built into it so you can now just
2:15:57 ask it for modern [ __ ] so there's no
2:15:59 reason right now to ever leave chat
2:16:02 gp4 what are they worried about Runway
2:16:04 is
2:16:05 janky what are who worried
2:16:11 about
2:16:13 Fran
2:16:15 Fran likeness scan
2:16:19 perpetuity till past life is
2:16:23 wild yeah so what we're going to see a
2:16:25 shu is we're going to
2:16:27 see this the the the likeness thing in
2:16:31 Hollywood is a double-edged
2:16:33 sword
2:16:36 because there's going to be there's
2:16:39 going to be actors that we want to see
2:16:40 again my 70-year-old neighbor stopped by
2:16:43 today because he heard I knew
2:16:46 AI he he reached Kevin mallister in
2:16:51 three
2:16:53 minutes that's awesome Silver Fox oh
2:16:56 that's
2:16:58 awesome so this is this is one of the
2:17:00 lessons so Silver Fox is one of the
2:17:02 Irregulars she's she's
2:17:06 awesome
2:17:08 um one of the things I talk about a lot
2:17:10 in here as you learn this stuff share it
2:17:14 tell people about it put it on Facebook
2:17:16 put it on LinkedIn hey I was working on
2:17:18 chat jpt and I came up with this cool
2:17:20 thing hey I was doing this and it was
2:17:22 really shitty but I still think I can
2:17:24 figure out how to do it just put it out
2:17:26 there put it out there put it out there
2:17:29 and then what's going to happen
2:17:31 is you're going to get made fun of
2:17:33 you're going to get
2:17:36 bullied and just let it slide off
2:17:40 your hair like my hair is falling off my
2:17:47 head
2:17:51 and and just keep sharing keep learning
2:17:54 keep sharing keep learning keep sharing
2:17:56 join groups like the AI Salon if you if
2:17:58 you didn't see that if you if you if
2:18:00 you've come in
2:18:01 recently um this is a community I
2:18:04 started about a year ago called the AI
2:18:06 Salon go check out the URL this is a
2:18:09 link tree read the first document that
2:18:11 tells you about the salon and what our
2:18:13 values are make sure your values
2:18:16 resonate with our values I want to grow
2:18:18 this group but I want people that are
2:18:20 curious and adventurous and
2:18:24 generous and inclusive and collaborative
2:18:28 and
2:18:29 empathetic if those words sound awful to
2:18:33 you this is not your
2:18:36 group if that if that group sounds good
2:18:38 if you're like wait is this a bunch of
2:18:41 weirdos trying to figure this AI [ __ ]
2:18:43 out and they're like actually not
2:18:44 [ __ ] to each other yeah that's what
2:18:46 it is
2:18:48 how do we use grock is there a free
2:18:50 version there's not right now I don't
2:18:53 know if they launched it someone said
2:18:54 they launched it today but I think it
2:18:56 might it was Lex Friedman but I don't
2:18:59 think it's actually been launched but
2:19:01 it's going to only be given to $16 a
2:19:05 month X Premium Plus subscribers which I
2:19:10 [ __ ] subscribed to that [ __ ] $16 a
2:19:13 month for [ __ ] Twitter so I could
2:19:15 play with grock so I could come here and
2:19:18 tell you people that it sucks or not I
2:19:20 created a house plant watering detail
2:19:22 with code interpreter and canva for my
2:19:25 house sitter holy [ __ ] that's
2:19:28 cool a watering detail with code
2:19:31 interpreter and
2:19:33 canva oh that's really cool Silver Fox
2:19:36 that would be cool to see how you did
2:19:38 that have have to be a paying user of X
2:19:41 for grock but there is a waiting list
2:19:44 yeah members must like dogs and you must
2:19:47 like dogs
2:19:49 yes you gotta be dog
2:19:51 people we'll let you in if you have cats
2:19:53 but you got to be dog
2:19:55 [Laughter]
2:19:58 people ah I like that I like that that's
2:20:03 that's pretty cool yeah it was fun it's
2:20:05 it's so much fun so so what ends up
2:20:06 happening if you start sharing this is
2:20:08 like Silver Fox word gets
2:20:11 out oh Silver Fox oh she knows AI cuz
2:20:15 that guy at some point probably went you
2:20:17 know got to figure out this AI [ __ ] cuz
2:20:20 uh my my uh my my daughter made me a
2:20:23 picture of a of a tomato and it it was
2:20:26 pretty nice I want I want to make some
2:20:28 pictures of tomatoes I I like a nice
2:20:29 tomato I I like I I want to learn how to
2:20:32 make some of these here uh this this AI
2:20:34 pictures so uh so I'm going to I'm going
2:20:36 to go over there and uh Hey S I just I
2:20:40 don't know if you know anything about AI
2:20:41 but I just I
2:20:44 fig and then someone at work will hear
2:20:47 about it and they'll be be like hey
2:20:48 could you do a little workshop for us
2:20:50 sure and then you start getting known as
2:20:53 the person that knows their [ __ ] with
2:20:55 this and things are going to start
2:20:57 happening grock is not a cool name grock
2:21:00 is a cool name if you understand
2:21:01 programming because grock means to
2:21:03 grocket to understand
2:21:05 it um and
2:21:09 considering elon's such a geeky engineer
2:21:13 type it makes perfect sense like I think
2:21:15 I think it is on brand for what wants
2:21:18 that thing to
2:21:20 be um is it on brand for human beings in
2:21:23 the world we'll
2:21:26 see I
2:21:28 mean he's dropped the valuation of
2:21:31 Twitter from 44 billion to 19 billion so
2:21:35 he's got to spin that [ __ ] back
2:21:37 up so hopefully hopefully some people
2:21:39 are into it uh I've been bringing up AI
2:21:42 in interviews and the response is mostly
2:21:44 good some are caught off guard yep that
2:21:47 that that's sounds about right Suzanne
2:21:49 so Suzanne there's a McKenzie report
2:21:51 that came out last week or the week
2:21:54 before that in the past
2:21:58 year like a year ago 88% of people were
2:22:04 not using chat GPT like last January or
2:22:09 February and then 6 months later it was
2:22:13 like 88% were not using and and now it's
2:22:17 like 82% are not using so less than 20%
2:22:22 of human beings are using chat
2:22:24 GPT Gro was a tech magazine I worked at
2:22:27 in 2000 that's super cool
2:22:31 um so yeah most people have not used
2:22:35 chat
2:22:36 BT a good chunk of them I'm guessing a
2:22:39 majority probably haven't even heard of
2:22:41 it so this this Channel and people that
2:22:44 are geeking out on this we're very early
2:22:47 we're very early no matter how far
2:22:49 behind you think you are you're not if
2:22:51 you're here and you're like ah I think I
2:22:54 want to I think I'm going to figure this
2:22:56 out maybe oh God I feel stupid I'm so
2:22:59 far behind you're not and you're not
2:23:01 stupid no one knows what they're doing
2:23:03 right now no one knows what they're
2:23:06 doing how do you think about AGI
2:23:08 Frameworks I didn't see the rest of that
2:23:09 sentence the the pin went away can
2:23:11 someone repin that oh here right I see
2:23:13 it how do I think about AGI Frameworks
2:23:16 if you do
2:23:18 um I think that um I think that they're
2:23:21 interesting I I follow David Shapiro
2:23:24 who's working on cognitive architectures
2:23:25 right now he's got a cognitive
2:23:27 architecture um open source project I'm
2:23:30 not part of the open source project
2:23:32 because I'm not a geek um but I pay
2:23:34 attention to that I think uh he's really
2:23:37 interesting and I'm paying attention to
2:23:38 open Ai and anthropic anthropic is a
2:23:41 bunch of exop AI people um and their um
2:23:47 constitutional learning
2:23:50 model I find really intriguing I find it
2:23:53 more intriguing than the human
2:23:54 reinforcement learning than that open AI
2:23:57 is doing um which is why the guys from
2:24:00 anthropic left open AI because they saw
2:24:02 a problem with it and so they said we're
2:24:05 going to go try a different
2:24:07 model
2:24:09 um I'm also looking at another thing
2:24:12 David Shapiro just spun up was and let
2:24:15 me and another thing David Shapiro so
2:24:19 David Shapiro's on um YouTube not Ben
2:24:23 Shapiro David Shapiro he's a bald guy he
2:24:25 wears a Star Trek shirt and he does all
2:24:28 these really cool videos on AGI and he's
2:24:30 written five books on AGI so
2:24:34 um he also just spun up a thing on agent
2:24:42 swarms so these things are crazy here
2:24:44 I'll show
2:24:46 you
2:25:06 doing a tedex talk is going to be the
2:25:07 most transformative and uplifting
2:25:10 experience level check hello level check
2:25:13 cool what is told you were Star Trek
2:25:16 things okay agent swarms autonomous
2:25:19 David Shapiro I think he's Dave
2:25:23 shap yeah Dave
2:25:27 shap D a v s a p on
2:25:33 YouTube
2:25:35 so agent swarms are so you know we're
2:25:38 making these gpts right so there are
2:25:41 these things called agents that the the
2:25:44 the way you make these gpts you can
2:25:46 actually TI them to apis now right so
2:25:49 you could say hey go find me the days
2:25:52 I'm free this week and then if I'm free
2:25:56 you know make an appointment with this
2:25:58 person and it will actually take those
2:26:01 actions what an agent swarm is is you
2:26:05 create one of those agents that can take
2:26:07 action but you also create an agent that
2:26:09 can create other
2:26:11 agents and then all those agents can
2:26:13 talk to one another so you could
2:26:15 basically give give an agent a goal like
2:26:19 go get me a job and it will generate its
2:26:22 own agents to go fulfill that so it
2:26:26 might say okay I'm going to create one
2:26:28 agent that's just going to go find the
2:26:30 job boards that I should be looking at
2:26:33 and then I'm going to make another agent
2:26:34 to go sign up for each of those job
2:26:35 boards and then I'm going to make
2:26:37 another agent to go find the hiring
2:26:39 managers and the jobs that I'm looking
2:26:41 for and then I'm going to make another
2:26:42 agent and it it is making all those
2:26:46 agents and it's co coordinating all
2:26:48 their actions that's the project he's
2:26:50 working on right now that's that's this
2:26:53 project so
2:26:56 so I'm not so much following
2:26:59 AGI Frameworks as I
2:27:02 am projects that I think are being run
2:27:06 by smart people and I and I probably am
2:27:08 not aware of most of them so I'm not I'm
2:27:11 not deep in the I'm not deep in the
2:27:14 engineering side of this but I'm I'm
2:27:15 paying attention to it
2:27:17 agent
2:27:19 Smith he does look like agent
2:27:28 Smith true or false they are running out
2:27:31 of data to train on I saw an article
2:27:33 headline that says
2:27:35 that they are uh David Shapiro the guy I
2:27:38 told you to go look at he's got he's got
2:27:41 lots of theories he he's got lots of
2:27:43 opinions on this there are two schools
2:27:45 of thought with synthetic data so so
2:27:47 basically the deal is at some point
2:27:50 we're going to run out of data if if you
2:27:52 if you create agents that go find all
2:27:54 the data to make the models better at
2:27:57 some point you run out of data like
2:28:00 they've already you know scraped most of
2:28:02 the public internet so that now they're
2:28:03 finding all these other data sources and
2:28:05 at some point you run out of data so you
2:28:07 can't keep improving these models well
2:28:10 so then what you do is you have
2:28:12 something like chat GPT generate
2:28:15 synthetic data that you can then train
2:28:17 on the models right you create personas
2:28:19 or you create this or you create fake
2:28:21 newspaper
2:28:22 articles there's one school of thought
2:28:24 that says that leads to what's called
2:28:26 Model collapse where the
2:28:29 model on real data the the model just
2:28:32 keeps getting better and better and then
2:28:34 when you run out of this data and you
2:28:35 create synthetic data at some point the
2:28:38 model just crashes and just gets really
2:28:41 bad and not usable cuz the data's gotten
2:28:44 corrupted and it's all self self
2:28:46 referential
2:28:47 [ __ ] but there's another school of
2:28:50 thought David Shapiro thinks that the
2:28:52 model collapse thing is overblown and
2:28:55 they can solve it so I don't know I
2:28:56 don't
2:28:58 know um but we're not going to run out
2:29:01 of data I mean we might run out of data
2:29:04 but people are going to solve the how to
2:29:06 make these things better with with
2:29:07 synthetic data thing they're it's going
2:29:09 to be solved that's exactly what I've
2:29:11 been trying to do I want to create an
2:29:13 agile bot T that's cool parallelism I
2:29:16 can't see unsee Cherry pastries pasties
2:29:19 now oh that's funny what was I showing
2:29:22 that that looked like the Cherry pasties
2:29:24 it was something anyway that's really
2:29:26 funny um I know a fair amount of about
2:29:29 Ai and have a Dev team ready to build
2:29:31 what Niche is unfulfilled in
2:29:35 AI oh
2:29:42 [ __ ] it depends how deep you want to dig
2:29:45 and how far in the stack you want to
2:29:47 build I
2:29:49 think whoever solves the hallucination
2:29:52 problem is going to be
2:29:55 rich you could work on accuracy of
2:30:01 data
2:30:04 um I honest to God don't know I you know
2:30:08 I've got a friend I was I was doing a
2:30:10 meeting a week ago last Last
2:30:13 Friday and a good buddy of mine has
2:30:17 spent the last 6 months building a lang
2:30:20 chain AI
2:30:23 application and then when gpts came out
2:30:27 last week it blew his business up like
2:30:30 it blew his startup up because it's like
2:30:33 you can literally anyone off the street
2:30:36 right now can do an app as sophisticated
2:30:38 as what this guy's spent the last 6
2:30:40 months doing
2:30:45 so
2:30:48 I
2:30:51 mean I think that I think that exploring
2:30:55 the world
2:30:56 of Open Source
2:30:59 llms and being able to do private GPT
2:31:03 instances without having to be a chat
2:31:05 GPT customer I think there's probably a
2:31:07 lot of money in that I think there's
2:31:09 probably a lot of money in in setting up
2:31:11 AI infrastructure Rachel Woods talks
2:31:13 about AI Ops as a big opportunity I
2:31:15 think that that feels right to me
2:31:20 um I think almost every just kind of
2:31:24 specific application solving a
2:31:30 problem I I don't know how you get don't
2:31:33 get knocked
2:31:37 off
2:31:39 um I you know you know what I would say
2:31:41 fnbo I would say
2:31:44 build fast and a lot
2:31:47 like don't build one big idea I'd say
2:31:50 build build a 100
2:31:53 ideas get your team playing with Lang
2:31:55 chain get them playing with the agents
2:31:57 get them playing with GPT Vision API and
2:32:00 text to speeech API from from open AI
2:32:03 get them playing with whisper just get
2:32:04 them playing with [ __ ]
2:32:06 everything and build fast build build
2:32:09 small
2:32:12 disposable mindblowing technology and
2:32:14 just keep knocking it out keep knocking
2:32:16 it out out and then how do you get paid
2:32:18 for that I don't know talk about it
2:32:21 share
2:32:22 it you know put up repositories on
2:32:26 hugging face and GitHub and share what
2:32:30 you're doing and then people will come
2:32:32 to you I I CU I don't everything's
2:32:35 changing too fast it's there's zero way
2:32:37 to predict if you put a year into
2:32:40 building
2:32:41 something and 3 Days Later Google
2:32:45 finally launches is some kick-ass Gemini
2:32:48 thing that does what your thing it's a
2:32:50 feature of their thing that you've spent
2:32:52 a year working on you're GNA be pissed
2:32:56 so just build a bunch of [ __ ] fast fast
2:33:00 fast fast think of it launch it think of
2:33:03 it build it launch it think of it build
2:33:05 it launch it you know you should have a
2:33:07 team just knocking out these gpts with
2:33:11 API connections to them like learn that
2:33:13 learn the the uh whatever it called the
2:33:16 assistent API on the back end learn the
2:33:20 threading stuff right just learn all the
2:33:22 new [ __ ] just build build build innovate
2:33:25 innovate innovate do it fast and throw
2:33:28 the [ __ ]
2:33:30 away all right listen people it's 11:00
2:33:33 here at my my time it's
