Description

DAY 2 - AI DEEP DIVE - Operators This AI Learning Lab live stream, hosted by Kyle Shannon, covered a range of topics related to artificial intelligence. Kyle discussed new features in ChatGPT, including the canvas feature, which allows for editable document creation and code preview within the chat window. He also introduced OpenAI's new "operator" tool, which acts as an AI agent capable of browsing the web and performing tasks like researching, ordering products, and scheduling events. Kyle emphasized the potential of these tools, comparing their slow current performance to the early days of the internet and suggesting that they will become significantly faster and more affordable in the near future. He encouraged viewers to embrace curiosity and adaptability in the face of rapid AI advancements. Kyle also touched on the implications of open-source AI models like DeepSeek R1, contrasting them with closed models like ChatGPT in terms of data control and accessibility. He highlighted the potential for individuals to run powerful AI models locally, reducing reliance on large corporations and potentially fostering innovation. Kyle promoted upcoming events within the AI Salon community, including a demystifying AI series by Pate. He concluded by assigning viewers weekend homework: to introduce someone unfamiliar with AI to its capabilities and give them their "first Kevin McAllister moment" of awe. 2:24 thinking he might have told me he's he's
2:26 off
2:28 tonight but I don't remember so uh it
2:31 might be a little chaos tonight here let
2:33 me do this for the Tik Tok people so

3:33 a game
3:35 show uh you are welcome to wager you can
3:38 wager uh feel free to
3:40 bet you know a a popular bet uh at the
3:45 uh at the AI learning lab is Will Kyle
3:47 finish a sentence tonight that's that's
3:50 a that's
3:51 a the odds are low uh but there's a lot
3:55 of Money's been won with that one you
3:57 can make money
3:58 with um
4:00 a lot of Money's been won with that
4:03 one I don't know anyone betting for me
4:06 has ever
4:08 won you get it it's a not finishing joke
4:12 sentence
4:14 [Music]
4:18 joke wow the hair is uh the hair is a
4:22 many Splendid thing
4:25 tonight I'll take the under on
4:28 that welcome to the AI learning lab
4:31 otherwise known as chat
4:33 add this is also day two of 30 days of
4:37 AI deep Dives where I attempt with my
4:41 ADD and short attention span theater to
4:45 actually focus on a primary thing per
4:48 [Laughter]
4:52 [Music]
4:55 night oh man alive man alive
5:01 all
5:01 right I saw Brandon a minute ago on Tik
5:04 Tock all
5:06 [Music]
5:12 right I'm here for the Deep dive are we
5:15 doing it did we already do it wait what
5:19 wait what that's their name on on the
5:22 Tik Tock there it's their handle their
5:24 handle you know they call it some call
5:25 it a name some call it a handle some
5:28 call it call it a a profile tag I don't
5:30 think anyone calls it a profile tag but
5:32 you know wait what is their name uh
5:36 they're wondering if this is going to
5:38 happen or not well if you haven't been
5:39 here before we do things a little
5:42 different here at the AI learning
5:45 lab um the fact that learning is in the
5:48 title uh is is a bit of a an overpromise
5:51 an overreach uh this is not a lab in
5:55 fact it's a shitty home office uh and we
5:58 will occasionally talk about AI so that
5:59 there's 's at least one of the three
6:01 objects in the name of the show that is
6:04 somewhat accurate occasionally so i'
6:08 like if you're batting 3333 in baseball
6:11 you're going to the hall of [ __ ]
6:13 Fame you know what I'm
6:15 saying I'm a Hall of
6:17 [Music]
6:22 Famer okay buddy I was here from the
6:24 beginning I travel back and forth I'll
6:26 check you out and your dog nice very
6:29 nice wait
6:31 [Laughter]
6:32 what yeah we're going to dig into we're
6:35 going to dig into operators again
6:37 tonight um I also
6:40 because because I know how to make good
6:43 life decisions and decided to spend at
6:45 least $200 for one month of uh of of
6:50 chat GPT um I have access to 01
6:55 Pro um and I thought oh [ __ ] it I'll
6:57 have it do something so I had to do
6:59 something tonight and it it it was
7:01 actually kind of impressive so um it it
7:05 it is related to what we'll do tonight
7:07 so we'll go through that that's kind of
7:09 cool um couple other things um I just
7:13 got Early Access to Pika 2.1 so p is one
7:17 of the video tools and 2.1 I guess is
7:19 their new model uh and I also got into
7:23 the minia max the Halo minia Max um
7:26 Creator program so that's really cool so
7:29 now in three Creator programs so um so
7:33 maybe next week we'll be talking about
7:38 um um we'll be talking
7:41 about video but I don't know we're gonna
7:44 we're going to play it by ear as as
7:46 things evolve things evolve you
7:49 know um I might also there's enough
7:53 noise being made right now around R1 the
7:58 the Deep seek R1 the open
8:00 source um chat gpt1
8:04 killer that that's open source and and
8:07 uh apparently
8:10 apparently deep seek R1 is just like a
8:13 side project of some other company they
8:15 just decided to
8:17 like put you know $5 million into
8:20 building a model that beats the hundred
8:23 million dollars that Sam Alman has put
8:26 in to Chad GPT
8:31 gon be a wild year people it's G to be a
8:34 wild Year anyway um so what we do here
8:37 if you have questions I'll just I'll
8:38 just sort of ramble for a bit if you
8:40 have questions about AI or or comments
8:42 or thoughts or you want me to look at
8:45 something or talk about something feel
8:46 pre
8:47 Fe feel free to put those in the
8:51 comments um and then it's at some point
8:53 here I don't know 15 minutes or so 10
8:56 minutes um I'll start digging into
9:00 operators
9:04 um operators is really interesting so if
9:06 you don't know what operators is uh it's
9:08 it's a new it's it's the first just like
9:12 chat
9:13 GPT was the first um AI chatbot um you
9:18 know an
9:19 llm that was designed for non-developers
9:22 to be able to use right the you know
9:25 gpt3 for developers have been around for
9:28 I don't know what a year and a half two
9:30 years before before chat GPT launched
9:35 um there are other agent building tools
9:38 out there right now but um operator is
9:42 the first of those tools that is
9:46 really anyone can do it right you just
9:49 give it a prompt just like you you give
9:51 chat gbt a prompt and then you kind of
9:53 deal with it off Meandering about the
9:55 internet which is which is fascinating
9:58 but what it does is it basically spins
10:00 up a a web browser inside your chat
10:04 window um and it goes and surfs the web
10:08 right and it like um it it will go to
10:12 sites that you can log into and then it
10:14 can do things on your behalf and it asks
10:16 your permission for everything um so
10:18 it's absolutely fascinating the the
10:20 thing that I
10:22 am you know it's 2 days old so I am
10:26 trying to quickly get my head out of you
10:30 can order groceries and you can make
10:32 dinner reservations and you can make
10:34 travel plans with it because quite
10:36 frankly we've had Bots that can do some
10:39 version of that for a long time this
10:41 maybe takes it to the next level where
10:43 we can actually go to different sites
10:44 and look [ __ ] up and interact with it
10:46 but I feel
10:48 like you know I kind of feel like the
10:51 examples of how they're using agents
10:54 right now or or operator right now those
10:58 example um
11:02 workflows are just I don't know they're
11:05 kind of lame it's like we've got a thing
11:08 that can reason Rel relatively well and
11:13 has access to the internet well what
11:15 could it do well I don't know we've also
11:18 got tools
11:20 like um repet agent and
11:24 cursor that can help code things so
11:27 maybe you know maybe we have
11:30 an operator come up with an app
11:33 idea create something in cursor set up
11:37 the environment and go make apps I I
11:39 don't know like I don't
11:41 know so that should be
11:44 [Music]
11:48 fascinating have you discussed deep seek
11:51 R1 I was just talking about it I think I
11:53 think
11:54 um I think that's going to be a deep
11:57 dive next week is I think over the
11:59 weekend I'm going to get it installed on
12:01 something or I'll get I'll find an
12:02 instance of it that's that's
12:04 decent um that I can sort of point you
12:07 to if it's not that much of a nightmare
12:10 my I I have historically steered clear
12:13 of um open source models just because I
12:19 I'm I'm really trying to focus on the
12:22 98.5% of people who are not developers I
12:25 feel like developers will figure their
12:26 own [ __ ] out and if you're doing open
12:29 source you pretty much have to be a
12:30 developer right now right there are some
12:32 tools that make it easy but for the most
12:34 part you got to be pretty [ __ ] geeky
12:37 so i' I've resisted it I've also
12:39 resisted spending $200 a month for
12:43 [ __ ] chat GPT until operator came out
12:46 so things change as these tools get
12:48 better um I'm going to try to kind of
12:52 react in real time so uh it seems that
12:55 deep seek R1 is good enough that it's
12:59 worth EXP exploring oh I see Brandon's
13:01 cursor flying around let me see if he's
13:04 in the backstage oh he's
13:07 here here we'll bring him up yo dude
13:11 what's
13:13 happening hey or maybe you thought we
13:15 were starting
13:17 late oh you thought we were starting
13:19 late oh yeah yeah I didn't know that's
13:21 fine that's fine um yeah I said I wasn't
13:25 going to come on early but but uh we
13:27 didn't have any Gallery uh gallery
13:29 activi tonight so started on time uh
13:32 welcome welcome welcome all right I'll
13:33 drop you down to the uh to the invisible
13:35 I'll drop you back into the uh the the
13:38 abyss bye
13:42 bye um yeah so there you go played with
13:45 AI studio today it was pretty good and
13:47 showed live to token usage AI Studio on
13:50 Google yeah AI Studio on Google's pretty
13:53 good you know
13:55 again Google is so schizophrenic with
13:58 their product strategy where some of the
14:01 cool stuff to play with is only in their
14:03 development environment it's not clear
14:06 when it's coming out
14:07 into I guess what you would consider
14:10 their their their consumer app which is
14:13 gemini.com uh which I I don't know I
14:17 don't know it's it's all these all these
14:19 uh I feel like every single AI product
14:23 at this point
14:25 is do you remember okay so this is only
14:28 for the old people
14:30 here but when when we were back in the
14:33 days of shrink wrap software Microsoft
14:37 Word was was good right and then they
14:41 put it out into the world and they would
14:43 have every six months or maybe it was
14:45 once a year they would have a new update
14:47 of Microsoft Word and maybe halfway
14:49 through the year they'd do the the 0.1
14:51 update or the 0 five update
14:53 right and and because it was shrink wrap
14:56 software they actually had to put discs
14:58 in boxes and ship those out to stores
15:00 right so so it it it wasn't sort of the
15:03 dynamic streaming software we get
15:06 today and Microsoft Word just added
15:09 features and added features and added
15:11 features and added features and there
15:13 was there was a version of Microsoft
15:15 Word that was sort of
15:18 the feature to Value Pinnacle the it was
15:22 the top of the mountain um and it was it
15:25 was Microsoft Word version
15:28 5.1 and it it was just like it had all
15:30 the [ __ ] everyone needed and like all
15:32 the features they added after 5.1 just
15:35 made it a complicated nightmarish
15:37 [ __ ] mess right um I feel like we are
15:42 we have crested with a lot of these AI
15:45 tools right now and we're starting to
15:46 come down the other side like every tool
15:49 right now is so [ __ ] complicated the
15:51 the video tools can now make images the
15:54 image tools can make videos some of them
15:56 can make 3D objects some of them can't
15:58 make 3D objects some of the large
16:00 language models can research some can
16:02 code some can you know anyway it's just
16:04 [ __ ] crazy Microsoft Word had a
16:06 button called fit to one page it would
16:09 shrink your multi-page to to one to one
16:13 best best feature ever yeah it's it was
16:16 things like that where where Microsoft
16:18 5.1 was the one that it just had all the
16:21 stuff and and in fact there was a I
16:24 think there might have even been an
16:25 official Microsoft rollback or or they
16:28 offered an official version of Word 5.1
16:32 when it had bloated the the term bloat
16:35 Weare comes from Microsoft uh where they
16:37 just added so many features to it that
16:39 it was just this bloated you know
16:40 horrific mess it was it was 70s Elvis
16:43 you
16:44 [Laughter]
16:47 know they killed it forever I felt it
16:49 deep in my soul I
16:53 know do you guys have live streams via
16:55 Mighty Network app I downloaded and
16:57 signed up for AI User Group but I'm not
16:59 sure how to catch all your live streams
17:01 uh amongst this community and others
17:04 um so mighty networks is weird um the
17:09 subscription level that we're on for the
17:10 AI Salon which by the way if you do want
17:13 to join the AI
17:14 Salon which you
17:16 should um go here go to the
17:21 salon. and click on the button that says
17:23 join our community that'll take you into
17:25 the mighty networks where the actual
17:27 Community you know you can interact with
17:29 the community in between in in between
17:31 these lives um hang on a
17:34 sec some lovely Java
17:40 um
17:42 so the subscription level that we have
17:45 on Mighty networks right now um only
17:48 gives us 20 20 hours a month of live
17:51 streaming but we're about to upgrade and
17:53 I don't know how many hours a month we
17:55 get there I would blow through 20 hours
17:58 if I were doing these live streams
18:00 within Mighty networks I would blow
18:02 through that in a week um so I I don't
18:06 want to use something that that we're
18:08 limited on so so right now um all of the
18:13 live meetings are sort of organized by
18:15 the the the club leaders the the people
18:17 that run each of the individual clubs um
18:20 I think at some point in 2025 we'll
18:22 probably have um we'll probably have a
18:26 version of that where where we might
18:28 start doing the live streaming directly
18:30 within within the mighty networks cuz I
18:32 think I think it kind of makes sense AOL
18:35 11 discs I just heard about deep seek
18:38 thoughts and
18:39 safety
18:41 um deep seek is a weird one I I don't
18:44 know enough about large language models
18:46 when they give you an open- Source large
18:48 language model with the weights you can
18:51 fine-tune it I don't know like is there
18:53 a way for them to have backo back door
18:58 security issues if you install it I
19:00 don't think
19:01 so um I know that deep seek R1 is very
19:05 very censored like if you ask it about
19:07 Tian Square it will not answer you now
19:11 can you um can you strip it down to its
19:14 its chord training and reverse that I
19:16 don't know I honestly don't know but
19:20 that's one that that we're going to be
19:22 exploring uh at some point in the next
19:24 30 days
19:30 yeah there's there was a um I saw a
19:33 tweet earlier there there there were a
19:35 number of comments about R1
19:47 today man I commented on Tim Ferris put
19:50 out a put out a tweet that basically
19:53 he's interviewing some other dude that's
19:55 like these AI tools are going to get
19:56 really good we're [ __ ] and Tim Ferris
19:59 put we're [ __ ] and then I commented on
20:01 that and said well what if instead of
20:03 we're [ __ ] it's like we're going to
20:05 have opportunity like we've never had
20:07 before holy [ __ ] am I getting a lot of
20:11 action on that with people that are
20:13 coming in all hot and bothered about
20:15 AI like Jesus
20:18 [Music]
20:21 um all right let's see what's said here
20:26 let's see what's said here
20:29 um deep
20:34 seek
20:41 R1 holy [ __ ] deep seek R1 is a mighty
20:52 [Music]
20:54 Beast see if I can
20:57 find let me put oh I spelled it wrong
21:00 for one thing that could help deep seek
21:04 R1 um side
21:17 project yeah here we
21:19 go hater slow developer there's no doubt
21:23 deep seek R1 has embarrassed all
21:25 companies including open AI Google and
21:27 meta yeah it apparently met is in a bit
21:29 of a a a panic right now because their
21:33 llama 4 ain't anywhere near 01 or deep
21:38 seek R1 apparently it's getting its ass
21:40 handed to it but that's just speculation
21:43 um funny they call the best model a side
21:46 project and make it open source just
21:48 imagine what China has achieved
21:49 internally USA is in panic mode game on
21:52 so this is I don't know who this guy is
21:55 um han han Xiao is deep seek going to
21:58 make money he says deep seeks
22:01 holding and whatever that I guess that's
22:03 the name of the company is a is a Quant
22:06 company many years already super smart
22:10 guys with top math background they
22:13 happen to own a lot of gpus for trading
22:15 and crypto mining purposes and deep seek
22:19 is their side project for squeezing
22:21 those
22:22 gpus so apparently deep seek is just a
22:26 bunch of math guys burning burning
22:28 through through uh through trades on
22:31 crypto mining mining crypto uh and they
22:35 were like hey why don't we why don't we
22:36 try to make a reasoning engine on the
22:38 side on the
22:42 weekends explain deep seek versus open
22:45 AI please okay well so this is gonna be
22:49 uh if pate's in here he can he can spank
22:51 me for for
22:52 misinformation um so so I don't know a
22:55 ton of it but basically it's
22:57 this um
23:00 chat
23:02 gpt1 and and chat GPT 40 all of what we
23:05 use in in chat
23:07 GPT is not OP Source it is owned and
23:12 controlled and optimized and the safety
23:15 guard rails are put on it by open AI so
23:19 if we're using it we have to use it on
23:21 Open AI servers we have to send our data
23:24 to them we have to trust that they're
23:26 not going to steal our data that they're
23:28 not going to share our data or leak our
23:30 data um if chat GPT decides or if if
23:35 open AI decides ah [ __ ] it custom gpts
23:39 were not all that interesting we're not
23:41 really going to do the we're not going
23:42 to let people monetize it we have to
23:44 deal with that right so so we're we're
23:48 at the mercy of whatever corporate
23:50 decisions they
23:52 make the danger of that is
23:55 that to to create the kind of
23:59 um powerful models that they've
24:03 created you need to raise a lot of money
24:06 right they just raised half a trillion
24:10 dollars to build compute infrastructure
24:13 to be able to do their new
24:15 models what that means is there's going
24:17 to be a relatively few companies open AI
24:22 Google probably Amazon
24:26 meta now meta has been open- sourcing
24:29 their tools so we'll come back to them
24:30 in a second but you're you're going to
24:31 have a a handful of
24:33 companies that are are what are called
24:35 these Frontier Model companies that have
24:37 enough money and resources to make these
24:39 state-of-the-art
24:41 models the danger when you have
24:44 Consolidated power in three corporations
24:46 or four corporations or whatever it
24:48 boils down to is that the government can
24:52 just come in and regulate the [ __ ] out
24:53 of them and say you're you're only going
24:55 to release this amount of power to the
24:57 people
24:59 deep seek and and the Llama models
25:02 currently from meta are open- Source
25:04 meaning I could take this deep seek
25:06 model I could go get um you know a fancy
25:11 Mac laptop right or one of nvidia's new
25:16 um what are they called digits uh you
25:18 know desktop supercomputers and I can
25:21 run that model that's as powerful as 01
25:24 right on my desktop none of my data goes
25:26 out to the internet I can
25:29 uh fine-tune it and tweak it on my own I
25:32 could make it specialized for this that
25:34 or the other so um so the difference is
25:37 the power
25:39 of chat
25:41 gp01 is literally in the hands of people
25:44 that are you know putting these things
25:46 small versions on Raspberry pies and
25:48 laptops and phones and things like that
25:51 like there's a lot of videos out right
25:53 now where they're taking the optimized
25:56 versions of that model and running them
25:58 locally on phones um so that's the the
26:00 big difference is control who controls
26:03 the data right and as we know from
26:05 Google controlling the data owning the
26:08 data is the business right if you're
26:10 getting it for free or
26:13 cheap you're the b you're you're the
26:16 business right
26:20 [Music]
26:47 you singing champy
26:48 [Music]
27:05 s in this low
27:07 Town wonder when things are going to
27:11 [Music]
27:12 change dream my life
27:15 away seems these dreams have turned to a
27:18 bunch
27:21 clouds getting my nerve up but my past
27:25 is pulling me down
27:30 wondering how
27:31 long this black sheet going stick
27:37 [Music]
27:43 around is he ever gonna start talking
27:45 about
27:46 operators I came here it I was told this
27:49 was a deep dive that what would happen
27:51 was I would come here and that the
27:53 professor do they call them professors
27:55 he doesn't look like a professor is it
27:57 is it is he even a teacher is he qualif
27:59 what are his qualifications does he have
28:02 qualifications why haven't we started
28:03 yet is he singing why is there a dog
28:06 singing what is this
28:10 Channel all right fantastic
28:13 Bob fan
28:15 [ __ ] Bob hey Bob
28:20 Bob all
28:22 right let's dig in one last YouTube
28:26 question on the previous topic singing
28:28 and what the [ __ ] is this Channel
28:31 about but if local can't access the
28:34 internet doesn't that limit its
28:36 capability well
28:38 so it depends what you're trying to do
28:41 with
28:42 it if you if you need it to process
28:47 information like the very latest news
28:49 then yeah you would need access to the
28:51 internet but if you needed to solve like
28:54 major physics
28:56 problems maybe physics problem s that
28:59 you don't want other people to know that
29:00 you're working on you probably don't
29:02 need access to the latest you know news
29:04 and chitter chatter on the
29:06 internet
29:08 um and they'll also keep updating those
29:11 models and I would imagine that once you
29:13 have the weights you can probably update
29:15 them yourselves and things like that so
29:16 I don't know um but but yeah it limits
29:20 it a bit but it's not it's not as like
29:23 once you have once you have a reasoning
29:25 engine that can solve you know big
29:29 mathematics problems and use reasoning
29:31 to to work through problems there's a
29:33 lot of stuff that you can do that would
29:34 that would make real good sense to have
29:37 not connected to the
29:39 internet all right black screen got the
29:41 black screen we're good to go we're
29:43 starting null just joined love null
29:47 null's right on
29:50 it didn't chose to change their name but
29:54 changed it to null get it it ain't there
29:58 it's a it's a protest
30:01 vote all right P Bob where are we going
30:05 Bob B hey Bob Bob Bob B Bob okay here's
30:10 what we're gonna
30:12 do I am gonna share my little
30:15 screen Shing ding dinging ding ding ding
30:19 null says hi hey null what's
30:22 shaking what is shaking
30:25 baby yeah yeah yeah yeah
30:32 yeah here's chat
30:34 GPT
30:36 um there's kind of a new and exciting
30:39 thing that I think is worth
30:42 sharing um let me I'm gonna switch
30:45 accounts here for a
30:50 second yeah that what you're writing
30:52 yeah exactly try advanced voice mode
30:56 okay
31:02 why is operator still
31:08 here H
31:13 fascinating I'm on a teams account that
31:15 does not have access to operator but I
31:17 guess because I do have access to
31:21 operator that's
31:24 fascinating I was I was trying to see if
31:27 uh I don't know if what I'm I think what
31:29 I'm about to show you is available to
31:31 plus users but I'm not 100% sure maybe
31:34 Brandon that's something you could you
31:35 could figure
31:36 out Kyle your tabs amazing collection at
31:39 this P at this point you're a curator I
31:42 I I I prefer the derogatory term tab
31:46 hoarder uh I am a tab hoarder I enjoy my
31:49 tabs um there's something about my ADHD
31:53 and pattern recognition that I love
31:55 being able to just scan them and like
31:57 quickly quickly click on things um 90%
32:01 of them I'll never click on again but I
32:03 will never admit that to myself so I
32:05 just let my browser CRA crash on a
32:08 regular basis um and I yell at Google
32:10 for having shitty memory management um
32:14 which they
32:16 do because you know you you know you I I
32:20 promise you I promise you these
32:22 discussions have gone on within the
32:24 engineering
32:26 Suites in the Google office is well you
32:29 uh logically uh users should should
32:32 probably not uh keep more than 6.2 tabs
32:36 active uh concurrently uh once once you
32:40 uh exceed uh seven tabs of course well I
32:42 mean 6.3 would be the the number but you
32:45 can't have a third of a tab of course
32:46 which I mean we've tried to program that
32:48 was it was it was a humorous uh exercise
32:50 and but once you uh exceed seven tabs uh
32:53 then we're doing what would be called
32:55 memory swapping and and there's of
32:56 course challenges with cash man
32:58 management and and cookie management and
33:00 and and of course we would recommend
33:01 that users uh manage their tabs just
33:03 like their email uh strive for inbox
33:06 zero and and uh and just you know don't
33:08 do not keep tabs open uh we would also
33:11 recommend that that users on a regular
33:13 basis restart the Chrome browser once
33:16 every well officially 52.6 minutes uh
33:20 but you once an hour would be be a
33:22 recommendation that we would encourage
33:24 people to do uh for for the stability uh
33:27 of of the The
33:30 Experience
33:31 no
33:33 no I'm going to have 100 tabs open and
33:36 I'm gonna leave my browser run until you
33:38 force me to restart my machine which at
33:40 this point is twice a day am I bitter
33:42 about it oh yeah bitter bitter you
33:47 betcha
33:50 okay Kyle's tabs look like the flags of
33:53 the
33:55 world I thought 6.4 20 would be the
33:59 humorous exercise yeah exactly hi new
34:02 people um this is our equivalent of
34:04 Music on hold yes um the one of the
34:07 nicknames of the channel here is chat
34:09 add um I will get to uh uh demoing and
34:14 playing with operators but there's some
34:17 stuff I want to show you first that I
34:18 think is worth looking at
34:20 okay so so I don't you may or may not
34:24 know there's a thing in chat GPT called
34:26 canvas which you can you can access from
34:29 this little row of icons here at the
34:32 bottom of the of the chat thing the chat
34:36 bar chat bar chat box I never know what
34:38 to call that what do you call this
34:41 thing the Google box the the the the
34:45 entry form input
34:49 area I'm sure it has a name and I'm sure
34:52 I won't like it anybody know what that's
34:54 called The Box the chat bar I've been
34:57 fighting with canvas once I turn it on I
35:00 don't know how to turn it off oh okay I
35:01 think I can show you that the chat hole
35:04 perfect null null actually has this
35:06 figured out this is technically called
35:07 the chat hole and so anyway the three
35:10 icons at the bottom of the chat hole
35:12 this middle one you click on that and
35:13 that's tools right and you can search
35:16 the web and you can use reasoning I you
35:18 can also use reasoning from up here so I
35:20 don't know why the [ __ ] they're putting
35:22 the same [ __ ] thing in multiple menu
35:24 items but that's neither here they near
35:27 one of the things here's can
35:29 and so if you create a canvas I can say
35:32 um write me an epic poem about the power
35:40 of chat
35:43 GPT
35:46 operator that launched
35:50 yesterday um please go research the
35:56 latest so you
35:59 know what it
36:04 is the
36:06 poem um
36:09 should be in the style of The
36:14 Iliad
36:17 illed is that right I think
36:23 so okay so now what it's going to do is
36:26 it creates this thing called a canvas
36:33 and so this thing over here on the right
36:35 is the canvas the thing over here on the
36:37 is left is your chat box you can change
36:40 the width of these if you didn't know
36:42 that you can they got you know what's it
36:45 called responsive design they got
36:47 responsive design people they they've
36:50 used some clever CSS and HTML and react
36:54 elements I'm just talking out of my ass
36:56 I don't know which one of those this
36:57 actually is
36:58 but you can you can slide it the chat
37:02 hole is over on the left and your canvas
37:04 is on the right now the cool thing about
37:07 the canvas is this is now an editable
37:09 document sing Muse of the operator's
37:12 might chat gpt's latest heral borne of
37:15 luminous thought who wields the power of
37:18 custom code a Titan's gift to shape the
37:20 world with data's whispered truths
37:23 whatever uh and I could say I don't like
37:25 that with data's um hallowed truths so I
37:29 can just go in and I can change that
37:32 slick nice um you can also do things
37:35 here like um adjust the length I can
37:38 make it longer I can make it shorter I
37:40 can adjust the reading level to let's go
37:43 to
37:44 kindergarten kindergarten reading level
37:46 boom let's rewrite The Iliad in
37:50 kindergarten sing little ones of
37:53 something so neat a helper called
37:55 operator really a treat born Le from
37:58 Smart Minds it works every day helping
38:00 with tasks in a magical way I this might
38:05 be a reflection of my intellect but I
38:07 kind of like the kindergarten version of
38:09 this much
38:16 better
38:17 oh okay ask the chat hole to make it a
38:21 game yeah exactly okay so a couple of
38:24 things um so so you can now edit this
38:27 and so Cory wait was it Corey or was it
38:30 Source Camp who was asking about uh
38:32 Source Camp right finally something I
38:35 can understand exactly okay so Source
38:38 Camp um the way this works so the the
38:40 canvas you can actually close the canvas
38:43 and you can come back to it so you'll
38:46 notice here
38:49 um if I click on this little box right
38:53 that says chat operator I can I can open
38:56 and close it like that so you can
38:58 actually create multiple canvases in the
39:00 same chat so I could say um let me make
39:02 another canvas and I'm going to say um I
39:07 want you to make a an
39:12 HTML SL react
39:17 game um that
39:20 teaches Kinder Gart teners about
39:26 operator and so it's going to spin up a
39:28 new
39:32 canvas and now it's going to start
39:34 writing code and then it's going to it's
39:36 going to expand it for us allow network
39:39 access always allow was probably stupid
39:42 I should probably not always allow it to
39:44 access the internet but I did because I
39:47 know how to live I know how to make Good
39:48 Life Choices we've talked about that now
39:52 I can close this and I think it's GNA
39:54 still keep going should be still going
39:56 yep still working
39:58 and I could scroll back and I could go
39:59 oh wait I wanted to go fix that poem so
40:02 I click on the
40:03 poem and let's see is
40:10 this let's see sing little ones yeah
40:13 this is the same one okay so so I went
40:17 back to this
40:18 canvas and now I can go to the operator
40:22 game and I can go back to this canvas
40:25 okay so this is the thing that I wanted
40:28 to show you so that's what so canvas is
40:30 an editable document now you can put
40:34 poetry in there you can put business
40:35 plans in there I'll show you a cool
40:37 thing that I did uh with 01 Pro because
40:41 I have access to it um that's related to
40:43 operators but they just added a new
40:46 thing so in Claude if you've ever used
40:48 Claude
40:49 AI um you can have it right in
40:51 application and it will preview it in
40:53 the window well they've added that now
40:55 in chat GPT so you'll notice up here in
40:57 the right hand corner um here's our code
41:00 our HTML and react code for turning this
41:03 into a kindergartener game I can hit
41:05 preview now and I've never done this by
41:08 the way always allow um okay so now we
41:11 have a game right hello friend do you
41:13 want to learn about the operator yes
41:16 operator is a helper helper helper opo
41:21 is a hel tool that makes things easier
41:29 Husker McGill cutti that is the best
41:32 [ __ ] name um so it's like branching
41:35 your work yeah exactly like so can think
41:39 of canvases is within a given chat you
41:42 can spin up these editable documents
41:45 right so I think you guys have seen me
41:48 maybe I'll do a deep dive on this next
41:50 week I've done I've done deep Dives
41:52 before where I'll take um a whiteboard
41:55 of of an app that that was just like
41:58 someone took a picture of a whiteboard
42:00 and then I'll go into chat GPT upload
42:02 the picture of the Whiteboard and then
42:04 just cycle through coming up with a name
42:06 for the company coming up with you know
42:08 a marketing strategy a marketing plan um
42:12 you know uh images code you know start
42:16 writing the program itself I do this
42:18 whole Deep dive what you could do with
42:20 canvases is those could all be distinct
42:22 editable documents so you're having kind
42:24 of one brainstorming session in the chat
42:27 hole
42:28 and then you've got all these separate
42:30 documents that are these editable things
42:32 that you can go back and go oh I want to
42:34 add that to the marketing plan so you
42:35 can it it it's a much more Nimble thing
42:38 and so what this thing is doing now is
42:41 you know allowing us to play the
42:44 game um that it just coded right and so
42:48 now so here's my code and I can say um
42:52 that game
42:54 was but ugly
42:58 act like a world class
43:03 designer and make it suck
43:08 less this is for our
43:12 children and the
43:14 adults that act like them you can make
43:20 M like
43:22 them um get it together boy exclamation
43:29 [Laughter]
43:32 point always disparage your thing um can
43:36 this be done in the
43:38 app
43:41 canvases I think are in the app but they
43:45 might not be hang on um new
43:48 prompt no they're
43:51 not slash
43:55 canvas um artic
44:00 um
44:02 on uh
44:09 snow searching the
44:12 web no it doesn't look like you can do
44:14 canvases in the app which
44:17 is a drag but it's if you're on a phone
44:20 this is this is a lot of interface to
44:22 jam in there all right editing the
44:25 operator game so what's it doing over
44:27 here okay it's it's we're
44:30 editing this is making our game more
44:34 better I think it's absolutely [ __ ]
44:36 amazing like we live in a world right
44:38 now even though this is really slow we
44:40 live in a world right now where you can
44:42 like watch this thing [ __ ] edit
44:44 itself okay the game has been redesigned
44:47 with a polished vibrant aesthetic
44:49 suitable for kids and funloving adults
44:52 I'm a fun-loving adult um let me know if
44:55 there's further tweaks you would like to
44:56 enhance the experience so let's preview
44:58 it and let's see if it's better than
45:00 black buttons on a white
45:03 background uh it looks like it hung and
45:06 did
45:09 nothing stop
45:13 preview installing packages
45:27 canvas is a little
45:29 janky and I I have a feeling operator is
45:31 eating a lot of gpus right now anyway so
45:35 so if you're a programmer and especially
45:38 if you're doing react things now I
45:39 thought I thought it said it could also
45:42 let me try a new thing um Let's do let's
45:47 do
45:48 Canvas and then we'll do um
45:52 write me a python app
45:57 um that
45:59 [Music]
46:01 calcu
46:02 lates
46:04 um the force needed to open a
46:12 jar of peanut
46:16 butter when you are hungry in the
46:20 morning
46:29 [Music]
46:32 I think of it as the chat bar Call It
46:35 Whatever You Like I dialogue box yeah
46:38 dialog box is the official one but I
46:40 think chat hole we can all agree that
46:42 chat hole is appropriate somewhere paid
46:45 is
46:50 weeping um I think this can also run
46:53 python code in the canvas so we'll see
46:56 when it stops slow slly writing code
47:00 here if you're like why is chat GPT so
47:04 slow I don't like this shouldn't it be
47:05 faster than this yeah it should be
47:07 faster than this but it's writing your
47:08 code for you if you tried to get a a
47:11 developer to do this for you you
47:13 couldn't get them on the phone for two
47:15 weeks and then they'd be [ __ ]
47:17 stoned you'd be like where's my where's
47:20 my thing oh man you know I have to
47:22 reinstall a library man you know is this
47:26 done oh yeah it's done okay
47:28 um
47:29 run so it's running the console see this
47:33 is a problem I had earlier so so it it
47:35 brings a console up here but then I
47:37 don't see anything in the console when I
47:39 hit stop it says it ran successfully so
47:44 I I clearly don't know what I'm doing
47:45 here but uh there's some [ __ ] going on
47:49 on the programming side of chat GPT
47:51 worth worth checking out okay let's move
47:54 over to operator let's start this deep
47:56 dive an hour into the conversation they
47:59 don't call this chat add for
48:06 nothing oh man we should do a deep dive
48:10 what did I say I was gonna do a deep
48:11 dive on oh the the uploading the
48:14 Whiteboard and and creating an app out
48:16 of it and all that sort of stuff yeah
48:17 I'll do that I I'll actually that's a
48:19 really good one to do I'll do that next
48:21 week so so capture that wait you can
48:25 actually make the app
48:28 [Music]
48:30 you can actually make the app
48:32 now yeah except I can't get it to run in
48:34 that in that window because I because I
48:36 just don't know what I'm doing and I
48:37 haven't taken any time to learn it but
48:39 there there's fancy [ __ ] to look at okay
48:41 new thing here so yeah Brandon capture
48:44 next week let's do a we'll do a
48:46 whiteboard we'll do a whiteboard demo
48:48 but I'll really focus on doing it as a
48:51 series of canvas documents I think that
48:53 could be
48:54 interesting okay um
48:57 so one of the cool things because I'm
49:00 paying a an insane amount of money is
49:02 I've got 01 Pro now so what I did was I
49:08 let's
49:11 see operator use cases
49:15 okay
49:17 so um I use chat GPT 4 to go search the
49:22 internet and look up the latest
49:25 information on what an open AI operator
49:28 is so I had I had chat gp4 write the
49:31 definition of what an operator is okay
49:34 so so basically there there's the oh
49:37 wait no down to
49:39 here is that's what chat gp4 wrote and
49:42 then I wrote this prompt
49:45 prompt and again I'm doing this in 01
49:48 Pro which is the the mac daddy $200 a
49:53 month reasoning engine I said I want you
49:56 to help me conceive use cases that are
49:58 beyond the obvious first I'd like you to
50:02 I'd like you to identify some use case
50:05 personas or different kinds of people at
50:08 different roles and then identify three
50:10 use cases for each role that are
50:13 multi-step workflows that involve at
50:15 least three different categories of
50:18 website needed to achieve the
50:22 role I'm even my prompts are just
50:25 [ __ ] run on sentences
50:31 I'm trying to come up with a list of
50:32 unique and interesting use cases to test
50:35 the
50:37 operators like what I'm trying to do
50:39 here is if we're going to do a deep dive
50:41 on operators I'm like I don't want to
50:43 just do the same [ __ ] you see on all the
50:45 videos and and do the same [ __ ] that
50:47 everyone's already done I think
50:49 that operator is an important enough new
50:53 capability for for non-programmers right
50:57 that it's funny the engineers are all
50:59 like ah this is useless it's just it's
51:02 slow and it's stupid and it's this and
51:04 it's that it's not if you're not a
51:08 programmer the fact that it's slow is
51:10 actually an advantage right now we're
51:12 not used to we cannot conceive in our
51:15 just beyond monkey
51:18 brains what these tools are actually
51:21 capable of so the fact that they've
51:22 throttled this thing way down and made
51:24 it like
51:30 is actually really good so so I wanted
51:34 to do that and then um operator or or
51:37 the
51:39 uh 01 Pro thought for a
51:42 minute
51:44 uh a minute and 7 seconds and it only
51:47 used one Chain of Thought reasoning
51:49 thing so I guess it did all its
51:50 reasoning on the back end but it thought
51:52 long and hard but the list it gave me
51:55 here I I was at first blush I was really
51:58 impressed with how long it was and how
52:00 thorough it was and actually some of the
52:02 ideas are pretty good so so yeah we're
52:05 we're in the this you are looking at you
52:07 are witnessing this this is the $200
52:10 version of
52:12 chaa okay
52:15 so close that make this a little bigger
52:19 so y'all can see it
52:23 um new person um Indie documentary
52:27 filmmaker use case one Film Festival
52:30 submissions I think this is really cool
52:32 right search film Film Festival sites um
52:37 to identify suitable upcoming festivals
52:40 collaboration and e e signing log into a
52:43 cloud storage online platform like
52:45 Google driver Dropbox retrieve the
52:48 film's promotional materials navigate to
52:50 an eature service like Doc you sign and
52:53 submit official entry forms and then pay
52:56 for it
52:58 like that's a pretty cool so so what
53:01 what I think we should try tonight I'll
53:03 read through a bunch of these and then
53:05 maybe we just grab one of these and see
53:07 see how this thing [ __ ]
53:09 does um all right side hustle me me no
53:12 way Kyle it's not good I got into a
53:15 heated argument with chat GPT wait
53:17 what's not
53:19 good oh I just lost that
53:22 pin I got into a heated argument with
53:24 GPT this week
53:27 it's not good what's wait when you say
53:29 it's not good what's not
53:33 good um um operator's not good oh how
53:37 slow it
53:40 is it was such a [ __ ] show worse than
53:42 working with a helpless intern so side
53:45 hustle
53:46 Mimi just I I agree it's it's really bad
53:50 right now but but don't don't assume
53:54 it's going to stay bad for long uh
53:57 um because what they're doing is kind of
53:59 remarkable I agree it's it's janky and
54:02 slower than [ __ ] but again I think
54:04 there's a value in it being slow
54:06 initially and and it I think it's
54:09 actually really
54:11 important so so here's here's the
54:13 analogy I like to think
54:15 about when I when I started agency.com
54:18 in the mid 90s and we were making
54:20 websites for these big Fortune 500
54:23 companies one of the first battles we
54:25 got in was with the it departments that
54:29 basically said you will never put our
54:32 data on the Internet it's not
54:36 secure we we actually got fired by I
54:39 don't know I don't know if you remember
54:40 Columbia House
54:42 Records Columbia House Records you could
54:45 buy you could buy um
54:48 11 cassettes or eight tracks or CDs when
54:52 they got into the modern age for a penny
54:55 and then and then you got in this they
54:57 would send you [ __ ] every every week or
54:59 every month whatever it was and you had
55:00 to cancel it it was a nightmare but we
55:03 built their first website and they
55:04 wanted to be able to order um have
55:07 people order [ __ ] sign up for the
55:09 service on the internet and so we're
55:13 building the site and the IT
55:14 Department's not giving us access not
55:16 giving us access and our clients getting
55:17 pissed off and they're and they're like
55:21 why like why is the site not working
55:24 we're like well we don't have access to
55:26 your back end because your it Department
55:28 won't give it to us so they called this
55:30 big ass meeting where we're sitting on
55:33 one side of a table our clients like on
55:35 the other side of the table and and the
55:37 IT Department's on the other side of the
55:39 table and at one point the CTO of
55:42 Columbia House Records slams his fist on
55:44 the table and goes do you mean to tell
55:46 me if you don't have access to our
55:48 database you can't build a [ __ ]
55:50 website and I said that's exactly what
55:53 I'm [ __ ]
55:55 saying and and they fired us um and of
55:59 course you know you know they figured
56:01 out how to put [ __ ] on the internet
56:02 right and we figured out how to feel
56:05 comfortable as end users putting our
56:07 credit cards on the internet that was
56:09 something I heard for years I'll never
56:11 put my credit card on the
56:13 internet I think that these agents are a
56:17 very similar technology where if these
56:19 things were super slick and super fast
56:22 it would freak some people the [ __ ] out
56:25 right like if it just went off and was
56:27 like Zip Zip Zip you know here's three
56:30 decisions you need to make and you know
56:32 put in your credit card here and your
56:33 Social Security number here and Bo Bo
56:35 off it goes and it signs you up for a
56:37 bunch of medical
56:39 trials that would [ __ ] freak people
56:42 out so the fact that it's like this slow
56:44 plotting thing right now I think is by
56:47 Design quite frankly let's make it super
56:50 safe super slow we'll check in with the
56:52 user all the time you sure this is okay
56:54 you sure this is okay so anyway
56:57 um is it what it should be no but I
57:00 don't think any of us are ready for what
57:02 it is anyway okay um let's let's blow
57:05 through these uh locate uh location
57:07 scouting and permits crown crowdfunding
57:10 and marketing oh this is a good one so
57:12 for independent filmmakers set up or
57:14 update a campaign page on Kickstarter or
57:17 Indiegogo and add new perks for backers
57:20 oh that would be a fun one to do
57:22 tonight although it might take us too
57:24 long to set it up and then social media
57:27 scheduling connect social media
57:29 management
57:31 tools email marketing log into email
57:34 service like mailchip and send
57:35 personalized newsletters to supporters
57:37 linking them back holy [ __ ] okay so P
57:41 people
57:46 people the tropes right now about AI
57:50 because AI is about to [ __ ] up some jobs
57:53 the tropes are AI is going to destroy
57:55 all your jobs AI is going to take
57:57 everything
57:59 away you know I look at this right here
58:02 wait a minute I could set up a single
58:05 agent to go do all this or maybe I set
58:07 up three of them right one to go set up
58:09 no no you you would I guess you would do
58:12 it in a single in a single
58:16 agent yeah it could go create a
58:19 crowdfunding campaign for you you you
58:22 brainstorm it in chat GPT and then just
58:24 have it go do all this [ __ ]
58:27 and it'll check in with you and tell you
58:29 when you need to send [ __ ] all right
58:32 Urban agriculture
58:34 entrepreneur the Comm uh use case one
58:37 community garden
58:38 initiative research available public
58:41 land zoning rules fill out forms for a
58:44 community garden
58:46 permit compare vacant lots for rent or
58:48 sale via commercial real estate listing
58:51 websites and then volunteer management
58:54 create an event page on a volunteer sign
58:56 up platform Sign Up Genius I mean even
59:00 the work that this thing did just
59:01 putting together these little plans is
59:04 is pretty [ __ ]
59:06 good pretty [ __ ] good all right
59:09 questions 12 tapes for a penny
59:13 cha um all
59:18 right um okay so let's let's nonprofit
59:21 fundraising coordinator I don't know if
59:22 an Murphy's on the on the call um hybrid
59:26 Gala event planning compare availability
59:30 and pricing for event venues through
59:32 local event
59:33 directories create and manage an event
59:36 page on a ticketing
59:38 platform um social media promotion live
59:42 stream
59:43 setup set up a live stream option on
59:46 YouTube or Vimeo for remote
59:50 attendees these are great use cases
59:52 these are really
59:55 good all right remote learning
59:58 educator course open open educational

1:00:21 hey
1:00:22 Vicky Vicky for for are are you ready
1:00:25 for AI we don't need we don't need to
1:00:28 make a stinking curriculum we can just
1:00:30 have an agent to
1:00:34 it I I bet that would be a [ __ ]
1:00:37 hilarious nightmare to watch how bad
1:00:39 this thing
1:00:41 is all right Virtual Field Trips 360
1:00:45 tour sites Source interactive Museum
1:00:49 gallery or city tours from dedicated
1:00:51 virtual tour platforms wow this one's
1:00:54 fascinating schedule and host a group
1:00:57 call on Zoomer teams for realtime
1:00:59 commentary and then then Q&A and polling
1:01:02 this is super
1:01:03 cool Virtual Field
1:01:07 Trips very cool you know what I'm gonna
1:01:11 do there's too many good ideas here okay
1:01:16 because these are actually good enough
1:01:18 ideas I think they're they're
1:01:19 independent of operator but we're we're
1:01:21 going to play with operator as well but
1:01:24 I'm going to copy all this
1:01:29 and I'm going to go over to the AI
1:01:32 Salon that's the AI Salon if you don't
1:01:34 know is at wait for

1:02:13 be made in upskilling for both
1:02:15 individuals and major corporations in
1:02:16 the area of AI basics for those
1:02:18 displaced
1:02:20 absolutely you should have operator
1:02:22 watch AI learning lab on YouTube oh
1:02:24 that's interesting
1:02:26 Oh that's oh dude that's a good
1:02:31 idea that's really
1:02:35 good okay wait I have a 3D three-day

1:02:50 going to put
1:02:52 um here are some really
1:02:58 interesting use case ideas for
1:03:06 autonomous agents
1:03:09 like um like open AI
1:03:15 [Music]
1:03:16 operator
1:03:18 um I created in 01
1:03:24 Pro um
1:03:29 these are
1:03:31 actually
1:03:32 not bad ideas to
1:03:36 try with non
1:03:41 autonomous AI tools have at them
1:03:46 exclamation point and then paste that
1:03:50 [ __ ] in
1:03:51 there how to use these
1:03:54 scenarios beautiful
1:03:57 okay

1:08:10 agriculture um let's let's ask it
1:08:15 um give me 20 more use cases
1:08:26 with
1:08:29 a more
1:08:32 simple
1:08:37 instruction
1:08:43 set additional use cases
1:08:47 thinking show the
1:08:52 details creating concise workflows
1:09:06 thank you for the gift Lil God
1:09:08 appreciate
1:09:09 that always
1:09:21 appreciated Vicki I'm a YouTuber not a
1:09:23 Tik tocker
1:09:27 it's good we're starting camps now we're
1:09:29 starting that's good I'm I'm
1:09:31 successfully dividing dividing the
1:09:33 community oh oh they're a Tik Tock oh
1:09:37 that YouTuber that YouTuber Vicky yeah
1:09:40 oh I know her she's no tick tocker let
1:09:43 me tell you
1:09:44 [Laughter]
1:09:52 that all right this thing's thinking for
1:09:55 a long time
1:09:57 to be honest I'm both you really are
1:09:58 both you're the bridge you you bridge
1:10:01 you bridge the
1:10:04 communities all right come on come on we
1:10:07 can't we
1:10:08 we're we've got we've got things to go
1:10:13 do okay here we are did we do it yeah
1:10:16 here they
1:10:20 are art student organizing a campus
1:10:24 exhibition
1:10:26 check room
1:10:27 availability um craft Brewer developing
1:10:31 a seasonal beer research flavor
1:10:34 profiles order specialty
1:10:38 ingredients let's that this one's kind
1:10:41 of
1:10:43 cool all right let's grab these okay
1:10:47 we're gonna we're just going to go do
1:10:49 this okay so the way we do this is over
1:10:54 here on the left hand side you've got
1:10:56 operator is this new
1:10:58 mode Let's see for you folks it's over
1:11:01 there over here see this operator it's
1:11:04 got this little up Arrow so this is
1:11:06 going to actually dump us out to a
1:11:08 completely different site called
1:11:10 operator. do yeah chat gp.com
1:11:13 so now we're in the operator website and
1:11:17 the way this works is we're going to
1:11:19 give it a prompt and then it's going to
1:11:22 basically spin up a web browser and go
1:11:24 start surfing the internet um to
1:11:27 accomplish what we want to accomplish
1:11:29 and it uses Chain of Thought reasoning
1:11:31 so it starts giving itself
1:11:33 instructions and then how it's how it's
1:11:36 surfing these websites is it's creating
1:11:39 screenshots and then it can interact
1:11:41 with that screenshot it can see the
1:11:42 screenshot and it can identify interface
1:11:45 elements on top of it and it can
1:11:47 interact with it it's pretty it's pretty
1:11:49 slick so we're going to pop this in here
1:11:52 so craft
1:11:54 Brewer developing a seasonal
1:11:58 beer okay
1:12:02 search
1:12:12 research I want
1:12:17 to
1:12:22 develop a
1:12:26 seasonal
1:12:30 Beer
1:12:35 Company
1:12:37 one recipe
1:12:40 database research potential flavor
1:12:45 profiles uh oh oh wait stop
1:13:01 two I probably probably doesn't
1:13:07 matter and then we'll go three
1:13:11 um a
1:13:14 detailed manual
1:13:30 okay so I want to develop a seasonal
1:13:33 Beer Company one go research potential
1:13:37 flavor profiles
1:13:40 two order specialty ingredients grains
1:13:43 yeast and brewing equipment and three a
1:13:46 detailed manual business plan for manual
1:13:50 bus plan for how to launch my business I
1:13:53 suppose we should do that first but it's
1:13:54 not as fun as looking up recipes so
1:13:56 we'll do it backwards we'll do it live
1:13:59 we'll do it live all right here we go so
1:14:03 we we we fired in our thing I'll
1:14:05 research potential flavor profiles and
1:14:07 find suppliers and brewing equipment
1:14:10 once I gather the information I'll
1:14:12 compile a detailed manual or business
1:14:15 plan for launching your seasonal Beer
1:14:16 Company I'll start start by researching
1:14:19 flavor profiles this this sound good
1:14:23 sounds um
1:14:27 awesome make sure you
1:14:33 find
1:14:35 um
1:14:37 nonobvious
1:14:42 flavor
1:14:44 profiles
1:14:45 don't be lazy and
1:14:51 stop
1:14:52 with the ones we've
1:14:56 heard
1:15:02 of bang
1:15:05 okay so thank you very much Lil God
1:15:08 appreciate that it's quite
1:15:11 generous um is this on chat GPT yeah so
1:15:14 where we are okay
1:15:16 so what I'm using right now and okay so
1:15:19 now here here it's opened the browser so
1:15:21 I'm going to I'm going to make this so
1:15:23 this is very similar to canvas right
1:15:26 where it is it is off now searching the
1:15:29 internet um the the chat hole is over
1:15:32 here on the left so this is our little
1:15:34 chat history and then if I click
1:15:39 on if I click on the thing where it says
1:15:42 what it's doing Here's Your Chain of
1:15:44 Thought reasoning so so these are the
1:15:47 instructions it's writing for itself to
1:15:49 go find stuff so it says search search
1:15:52 Unique beer profiles exploring the first
1:15:55 search result link exploring article for
1:15:59 Unique beer flavors exploring hop
1:16:01 varieties and flavors closing the
1:16:03 subscription so this basically went to
1:16:06 Google it's now clicking on websites
1:16:10 going and looking at those websites
1:16:12 going back to
1:16:18 Google anything involving the screen and
1:16:21 it doing on
1:16:23 its own in browser
1:16:26 um I don't know what that comment is p i
1:16:29 so so it's running this browser instance
1:16:32 in this chat session so it's not this is
1:16:35 kind of a hermetically sealed
1:16:38 container uh well it's not hermetically
1:16:40 sealed because it's reaching out to the
1:16:42 internet but it's it's not connected to
1:16:45 beyond my browser I
1:16:47 assume P oh P's having a side
1:16:49 conversation okay cool um the chat hole
1:16:54 technical lingle lingo love it yeah I
1:16:57 like I'm happy with the chat
1:16:58 hole um the other thing that's really
1:17:01 cool about this so so here's here's some
1:17:03 things I've discovered so far so I think
1:17:06 just watching it give itself
1:17:08 instructions is absolutely [ __ ]
1:17:10 fascinating and again this is the fact
1:17:13 that this is so slow I get that it's
1:17:16 absolutely maddening how slow it is and
1:17:19 at the same
1:17:21 time we're kind of learning what it's
1:17:23 like to watch and entity that can reason
1:17:27 kind of navigate its way around the
1:17:29 internet um and we also get to at any
1:17:32 point I can jump in and take control
1:17:35 like I could jump in at this point and
1:17:36 say I don't want to start a beer company
1:17:38 anymore I want to start a Tea Company
1:17:40 start over and it would you know you
1:17:42 know do do its old thing um if it runs
1:17:46 into a capture or if it needs to log
1:17:48 into a site that I've got access to
1:17:50 it'll stop and tell me to go do
1:17:53 that um
1:18:02 not every comment is for you Kyle I know
1:18:05 it breaks my heart Pate I can't what
1:18:07 what do you mean you guys are talking on
1:18:09 your own this is my show you're supposed
1:18:11 to be watching the
1:18:14 star do you guys need me to put on the
1:18:17 pink bow do I need to put on the pink
1:18:18 bow for get you to pay attention to
1:18:23 me oh we're off in check us Slovakia
1:18:26 right now crisp malt base malt other
1:18:29 grains oh I think we're
1:18:31 sourcing yeah yeah yeah look exploring
1:18:33 Innovative beer ingredients ideas oh
1:18:36 this is so
1:18:39 cool you know this is one of those
1:18:42 things you're like you're watching this
1:18:43 and you're like well I could do this but
1:18:45 it's like here's the other cool thing
1:18:46 about this I can now start a new
1:18:49 thing I could say um uh
1:18:55 find
1:18:58 me find me really good
1:19:03 seats for live music this weekend in
1:19:08 Denver for
1:19:12 artists um like Martin
1:19:20 sexon so my beer company is still being
1:19:23 started off on the in the other Tab and
1:19:26 now I'm going to go find music stuff
1:19:30 like that's kind of wild to me where
1:19:33 like I I essentially have a shitty
1:19:37 intern over searching the internet for
1:19:41 my beer my beer stuff look dry Brewing
1:19:45 yeast Tik Tock question um is there a
1:19:49 free AI with agency yet uh with with
1:19:52 agents no well
1:19:57 there there are open-source models that
1:20:01 have things like function calling and
1:20:03 you know you can you C you can build you
1:20:06 can build your own agents if you're a
1:20:07 developer you can build your own
1:20:10 agents this thing from chat GPT is is is
1:20:15 the first just like chat GPT was the
1:20:18 first chat GPT was the first thing that
1:20:20 took large language models that that
1:20:23 were largely available to de Vel
1:20:26 opers and just basically made the chat
1:20:28 hole right the really simplified
1:20:31 interface that allows us non-developers
1:20:34 to use it that's what this is I I'm
1:20:37 pretty sure there's
1:20:40 well the rabbit R1 the little the
1:20:44 hardware device um has got something
1:20:46 similar to this but it is nowhere near
1:20:49 this good it's you you still have to
1:20:52 program um Claude has something
1:20:55 something like this but you have to
1:20:56 program apis this is no apis this is
1:21:00 literally um chat GPT seeing web pages
1:21:04 identifying the interface and input
1:21:07 elements reading the page determining
1:21:09 where it wants to click typing into
1:21:12 input forms and then going to other
1:21:15 sites look oh oh people people people
1:21:19 this is so
1:21:21 important um operators are tab horders
1:21:24 look at all the tabs it's got
1:21:28 open it's got brewing equipment tab a
1:21:31 bunch of different things um oh this
1:21:34 makes me so happy this look at this
1:21:38 ethics questions on Tik Tok What keeps
1:21:40 it from inadvertently stealing ideas it
1:21:42 sees on the internet that
1:21:45 aren't that haven't been copywritten
1:21:50 well so if someone put something out
1:21:53 there that that is original um it it
1:21:58 implicitly has copyright on it right
1:22:00 like when you put some when you create
1:22:03 something you have you have an inherent
1:22:05 copyright on it now there's a question
1:22:07 about can you copyright anything where
1:22:09 you used AI to create it that's a whole
1:22:12 separate [ __ ]
1:22:14 conversation um if something is out
1:22:16 publicly available on the
1:22:18 internet there's nothing that would stop
1:22:21 this you say steal the idea there's
1:22:23 nothing to stop this from seeing the
1:22:25 idea and using it just like there's
1:22:28 nothing to stop a person from seeing
1:22:30 that idea and using it it's no
1:22:33 different um holy smokes yeah oh wait
1:22:36 take oh wait it's asking me a question
1:22:38 okay oh wait what what happened here
1:22:40 okay I found a variety of unique flavor
1:22:43 profiles fruits passion fruit guava Lei
1:22:47 Prickly Pear and dragon fruit spices
1:22:49 cardamon lemongrass cafir lime leaves
1:22:53 nice C Swan
1:22:56 peppercorns pumpkin sweet potato
1:22:59 beetroot basil
1:23:01 thyme
1:23:04 [Music]
1:23:08 um you have no expectation of privacy if
1:23:11 it's on the internet absolutely like it
1:23:13 it won't log into like if if someone has
1:23:16 their idea in a private database this
1:23:18 won't log into that unless I have access
1:23:21 to that private database and I log into
1:23:23 it um but like oh that would be
1:23:26 something let's let's spin up another
1:23:28 thing
1:23:33 um let's go
1:23:36 um I want you to
1:23:40 find the
1:23:45 um patent for Story
1:23:51 vine and go find other other
1:23:56 patents you
1:24:00 feel uh uh other
1:24:03 patents
1:24:05 uh you feel would be interesting for the
1:24:11 inventor to know
1:24:15 about so this thing's going to go to
1:24:17 some patent database and hopefully find
1:24:20 the story Vine patents on our software
1:24:23 and then go do cool [ __ ] so we'll let
1:24:26 that do its thing oh here's concert
1:24:29 seats wait where's
1:24:32 my did I where did I lose my beer oh I
1:24:35 guess it's not active so it's over here
1:24:38 yeah yeah yeah okay all right so it's
1:24:40 going to be in this list if it's active
1:24:43 what's going on with the concert
1:24:49 seats oh look at all the [ __ ] it did for
1:24:52 okay just think about you know someone
1:24:54 says Hey do you want to go see some live
1:24:55 music this weekend yeah sure look at all
1:24:58 the [ __ ] it did
1:25:01 here exploring nine news um closing
1:25:05 cookie concert consent returning to song
1:25:08 kick accessing AXS for
1:25:12 tickets all right it's doing its [ __ ]
1:25:14 it's doing its
1:25:17 stuff all right I found tickets for head
1:25:20 for the hills at shallow Hill Music on
1:25:23 the 25th which aligns with your your
1:25:24 interest in folk and AC acoustic music
1:25:27 the cost is 25 bucks do you want to
1:25:29 proceed with the
1:25:32 purchase um can I hear their
1:25:41 music all right and then I'm going to go
1:25:43 back and look at what what's happening
1:25:44 with my
1:25:46 patents this is pretty trippy I think
1:25:49 this is pretty [ __ ]
1:25:51 cool searching for Story vine did it
1:25:54 find
1:25:57 it um yeah down here at the bottom it
1:26:01 says storyboard directed video
1:26:03 production from a shared in individual
1:26:05 assets that's our
1:26:09 patent exploring the cited by Patent
1:26:12 okay I found the patent for Story vine
1:26:14 titled Story vine directed video
1:26:16 production from shared on individual
1:26:18 assets under patent number
1:26:20 blank it describes a system for video
1:26:23 production using a data storyboard I
1:26:26 explored related patents including those
1:26:29 cited by and citing The Story vine
1:26:32 patent as well as similar documents
1:26:34 notable patents um you can view the
1:26:37 story Vine patent details here would you
1:26:39 like any other
1:26:41 information
1:26:43 um I want you to
1:26:47 put these
1:26:50 finds into a
1:26:53 Google sheet
1:26:55 s
1:26:58 document now this should this should
1:27:00 prompt me to log into Google
1:27:03 Sheets it should it yeah it it should do
1:27:06 that we'll
1:27:12 see questions is this is pretty wild huh
1:27:16 this is good dig digging this yes
1:27:19 feeling like it's starting to make a
1:27:21 little more
1:27:22 sense cuz it it may or may not be to me
1:27:25 Kyle you're such a Smooth Operator
1:27:27 Smooth
1:27:31 Operator all right to create a Google
1:27:33 Sheets document I'll need you to sign in
1:27:35 log in on browser so that we said this
1:27:38 was going to happen and yet here and
1:27:40 whoop dead
1:27:42 is okay
1:27:45 um so I'm gonna come over here please
1:27:48 log
1:27:49 in sign
1:27:52 in the other thing that wild about the
1:27:56 what what I'm
1:27:58 realizing about this
1:28:02 is what we're looking at right now is a
1:28:07 screenshot oh wait I'm already logged oh
1:28:09 because I'm logged in in the browser I
1:28:11 guess it just put that stuff over there
1:28:12 okay cool finish up
1:28:16 return okay Tik Tock pin um I can
1:28:19 imagine myself forgetting I'd worked on
1:28:21 one of these the night before thinking
1:28:24 exactly I I I'm totally with you
1:28:27 Amelio's wife thinking who used my
1:28:29 computer well the the the thing is this
1:28:33 is not using anything on your computer
1:28:36 this is like like I said it's like this
1:28:38 hermetically sealed browser container
1:28:40 inside the chat
1:28:42 instance but look it's making a it's
1:28:44 making a Google sheet right now this is
1:28:47 [ __ ]
1:28:52 insane this is nuts
1:28:55 yeah you can do three of these
1:28:56 simultaneously which right now th this
1:28:59 is the only one that's active
1:29:03 right yeah because this one I just need
1:29:06 to wait oh the video link is unavailable
1:29:08 would you like me to search for another
1:29:09 video oh let's go back to find concert
1:29:16 seats yes
1:29:19 please Tik Tock pin I want to know how
1:29:22 it just logged you in without asking for
1:29:24 password cuz I'm already logged
1:29:26 in I'm already logged
1:29:29 into the Google Suite in this browser
1:29:33 session so it's not hermetically sealed
1:29:36 into the chat I guess it's tied into the
1:29:39 browser session so just like I'm already
1:29:41 logged into to Google if I log into
1:29:43 other
1:29:45 sites um I guess it's just doing
1:29:50 that I I said to sign in I manually
1:29:54 clicked sign so it didn't pay to it it
1:29:57 didn't it got to the signin form and it
1:30:00 said you need to sign in and then I
1:30:02 clicked the signin button and I guess
1:30:04 because I'm already logged into Google
1:30:05 in my browser yeah then that's not very
1:30:08 sealed yeah I agree it's not it's it's
1:30:11 not it's it's it's tied to the browser
1:30:15 session but it's but it's not doing
1:30:17 anything to my hard
1:30:21 drive did you tell it to make a Google
1:30:23 sheet
1:30:25 or did it do it on its own I told it to
1:30:26 make a Google
1:30:28 sheet okay so
1:30:32 wait copying the SoundCloud track link
1:30:35 to
1:30:36 share oh this is cool hopefully it it
1:30:39 grabs the so it got the SoundCloud link
1:30:41 up here okay I found a sample hang on
1:30:44 let me let me change my sharing for a
1:30:46 second here so we can do
1:30:49 sound share the tab
1:30:53 operator share
1:30:55 there I found a sample of head for the
1:30:57 hills music on SoundCloud you can listen
1:31:00 to their track Oma oh
1:31:03 no um tell the Tik Tok people I didn't
1:31:06 have my phone plugged in and it
1:31:12 died welcome to Chad
1:31:18 add all right that'll be back
1:31:22 up um okay so here's the
1:31:30 link they're
1:31:42 from oh I'm like that sounds like my
1:31:45 musical because it was it took me to
1:31:48 SoundCloud okay here's here's amatola
1:31:50 from
1:32:18 yeah my phone
1:32:23 B all right that's that's pretty
1:32:26 cool um
1:32:29 okay oh you didn't oh yeah so so when I
1:32:32 clicked on this thing it took me over to
1:32:34 SoundCloud all right that's pretty slick
1:32:37 so very cool so that's that one all
1:32:40 right let's go back to um
1:32:45 patents why did this
1:32:49 stop oh it's still going okay
1:32:57 [Music]
1:33:01 sh
1:33:03 um cut him some slack it's first time
1:33:05 he's ever doing this is someone trolling
1:33:07 me that I don't that I'm clueless listen
1:33:09 I have established I I've established
1:33:11 for two years on a nightly basis I am
1:33:14 wholly unqualified to be running this
1:33:16 channel I embrace that I'm excited about
1:33:19 it it's fantastic Bob tell him what he's
1:33:22 won you can make money
1:33:24 [Laughter]
1:33:30 listen if you're here to tell me I'm a
1:33:32 piece of [ __ ] I
1:33:33 agree okay um so this is very slowly
1:33:40 filling out my my
1:33:45 spreadsheet it's like it's like going to
1:33:48 it's going to find a patent clicking on
1:33:50 the patent getting the URL copying it
1:33:52 going to the spreadsheet pasting
1:33:55 it so so you know it'll finish this
1:33:59 it'll finish the 20 patents it found me
1:34:01 in the spreadsheet but you know not for
1:34:03 nothing you could do it overnight why
1:34:05 not okay so let's go look at our beer
1:34:06 thing what's what's going on with our
1:34:08 beer company we want to start a beer
1:34:09 company that's why that's what we're
1:34:10 doing here people seasonal beer
1:34:13 development
1:34:14 okay I found a variety of things um for
1:34:17 Brewing ingredients I found these the
1:34:19 brewing
1:34:21 equipment it offers that these resources
1:34:24 provide a solid foundation for Unique
1:34:27 seasonal beers would you like me to
1:34:29 proceed with ordering any of these um I
1:34:33 need all of
1:34:35 the
1:34:37 equipment not
1:34:42 just the kettle
1:34:47 kit
1:34:50 um let's go bigger
1:34:56 I
1:34:57 have 100K to
1:35:01 spend on
1:35:06 equipment make me a
1:35:10 list I don't have to
1:35:15 worry is missing
1:35:19 anything
1:35:21 boom all right
1:35:24 I'm gonna tell our little friend to go
1:35:26 to go go find me more
1:35:33 [ __ ]
1:35:35 ah this is kind of fascinating kind of
1:35:46 fascinating there there's a there's a
1:35:49 thing popping in my head right now which
1:35:51 is this
1:35:54 is operator in its current state the the
1:35:59 um wait how can I do this where you can
1:36:01 both see it oh if I come over here okay
1:36:03 is
1:36:05 operator in its current state the
1:36:07 software equivalent of the rabbit R1
1:36:10 where it's kind of cute but am I
1:36:12 actually going to use it I don't know
1:36:15 yet it's feeling kind of like that that
1:36:18 it's that it's incomplete enough that it
1:36:21 might not do that but
1:36:27 I mean what what I could see how how I
1:36:29 could see using
1:36:32 this I could see being at work right and
1:36:36 like the M calls or I have an idea oh
1:36:38 maybe we should do something this
1:36:40 weekend or whatever but I have a meeting
1:36:42 coming up in 10 minutes hop into
1:36:44 operator say hey go go do this [ __ ] and
1:36:47 then just send it off and then go do my
1:36:50 work meeting and then come back to it
1:36:52 and see what it found I mean
1:36:55 I I think there's some real value in
1:36:58 that but holy [ __ ] that's such a
1:37:01 different
1:37:05 um it's such a different discipline I
1:37:08 mean it it's it's it's reminding me
1:37:13 of I'm having to
1:37:18 consciously now that I know I've got
1:37:20 chat
1:37:22 GPT and it can do a lot of the Brute
1:37:25 Force thinking for me I'm having to
1:37:30 consciously choose not to use my brain
1:37:33 because chat GPT can do it faster for
1:37:35 like the the blocking and tackling stuff
1:37:37 right I'm having to unlearn how I go
1:37:41 about my day and I think with something
1:37:43 like operators it's going to be a
1:37:45 similar sort of thing where if I think
1:37:47 about oh I've got to go get tickets for
1:37:49 something or I've got to go find this or
1:37:51 I've got to go get you know put together
1:37:53 a shopping list
1:37:55 right now I think okay I'll open up
1:37:57 whatever tools I use and I'll go Google
1:38:00 [ __ ] like we're going to have to
1:38:02 unlearn how we do
1:38:06 [ __ ]
1:38:07 um all right thinking user said to spend
1:38:12 $100,000 on
1:38:14 equipment I did say
1:38:17 that look it's out finding fermentors
1:38:20 and bright tanks and logging tanks
1:38:25 I I I'm going to have a brewery before
1:38:28 the evening's over Kyle it would be nice
1:38:30 if you had a way to text if it had a way
1:38:33 to text you to get information to
1:38:36 proceed on an action well I know that
1:38:38 I've got
1:38:43 um what's it called browser
1:38:45 notifications enabled for this so in
1:38:48 theory it should but because I've been
1:38:51 here kind of babysitting it I don't
1:38:53 maybe if I'm another tab it would it
1:38:55 would let me know that it's done so it's
1:38:58 possible it does
1:39:01 that all right you're learning to
1:39:04 focus that's
1:39:09 exhausting F Focus Not Gon not gonna be
1:39:13 my my big uh my big win for the for the
1:39:20 decade listen I'm doing 30 days of deep
1:39:23 Dives where you know I'm spending a good
1:39:26 chunk of time a night on a single thing
1:39:28 that's already making my head [ __ ]
1:39:32 hurt let's not let's not call it Focus
1:39:35 shall we all right so let's
1:39:39 see here's a compr comprehensive list
1:39:43 comprehensive
1:39:45 list um so let's see I need that
1:39:51 list in
1:39:57 a
1:40:00 spread
1:40:02 sheet
1:40:04 with pricing so I
1:40:09 can um can give to
1:40:14 my CFO or my
1:40:18 coo
1:40:20 um well and you you know what's
1:40:22 fascinating so so this thing just went
1:40:24 out and it found a bunch of
1:40:30 equipment if I if I actually knew what I
1:40:32 was doing I would probably tell it here
1:40:34 are the two or three sites I want you to
1:40:35 go
1:40:38 to and now I just said I want this in a
1:40:40 spreadsheet so I can give it to my
1:40:44 coo
1:40:46 well you could probably spin up like a
1:40:49 COO kind of agent to do some coo [ __ ]
1:40:52 fascinating everyone is getting their
1:40:54 own personal assistant yeah exactly and
1:40:56 it and it's it's it's it's more like
1:41:00 so okay this is we're two days into
1:41:03 having this tool right this is this is a
1:41:05 brand new kind of
1:41:07 entity it's super limited right now it's
1:41:10 super janky it is super slow right super
1:41:15 slow again I have an instinct that part
1:41:18 of that's by Design Pate will laugh at
1:41:20 me and say no this is the fastest they
1:41:22 could do it they're doing everything
1:41:23 they can and I bet this is costing them
1:41:26 a [ __ ] ton of money like I can't imagine
1:41:28 this is cheap doing all these
1:41:30 screenshots saving these saving all
1:41:32 these
1:41:33 frames um I
1:41:36 would I would surmise that by the end of
1:41:39 the
1:41:41 year we will each anyone who's got
1:41:44 access to this by the end of the year
1:41:46 these things will be available for 20
1:41:48 bucks a month and probably some version
1:41:50 of these will be a available for free
1:41:53 the pro version maybe you can do a
1:41:55 hundred of these things simultaneously
1:41:57 20 bucks a month maybe do 10 and and
1:42:00 maybe you can do three for the free tier
1:42:02 something like that like that's how
1:42:03 it'll that's how it'll play out but
1:42:05 think about that for 20 bucks a month by
1:42:08 the end of this year by the end of
1:42:12 2025 we're going to have some version of
1:42:14 this where you could basically develop
1:42:16 10
1:42:17 employees to go do [ __ ] for you every
1:42:20 day
1:42:23 one that goes out and does social media
1:42:25 marketing for you one that goes out and
1:42:27 does I don't know research one that goes
1:42:30 out and does product development one
1:42:31 that goes out and you know sources
1:42:34 manufacturers one that you know does the
1:42:37 import
1:42:39 export applications and and stuff one
1:42:43 that runs the
1:42:46 business by the end of this
1:42:49 year now will they be any good I don't
1:42:52 know
1:42:54 I assume not I assume they're going to
1:42:56 be shitty pieces of [ __ ]
1:42:59 but if you're hanging out on this
1:43:01 channel right now like if you're
1:43:03 suffering through my inability to focus
1:43:06 on much for very long if you're still
1:43:09 [ __ ]
1:43:11 here you're going to know when these
1:43:13 things get good and you're going to have
1:43:17 some sense of how to deal with these
1:43:19 things and you're going to be so [ __ ]
1:43:21 far ahead
1:43:25 this for me is the first time that I've
1:43:28 seen okay you've got chat GPT right
1:43:31 let's say you're a copywriter you sit
1:43:34 down with chat GP and you go oh well I
1:43:36 can't write as good as the human can and
1:43:38 then you say write me a [ __ ] thing
1:43:40 that I write and it writes as good as a
1:43:43 human can or pretty close to
1:43:46 it you your appropriate response to that
1:43:50 is oh [ __ ] these things are taking our
1:43:57 jobs I look at this and I go oh [ __ ] I'm
1:44:02 gonna have a bunch of free employees
1:44:05 that are going to go do [ __ ] for
1:44:08 me so where I go back to and this is
1:44:12 like my Epiphany in the past two weeks
1:44:14 has been our jobs moving forward is
1:44:17 going to be figuring out for ourselves
1:44:19 what do we actually want to do what do
1:44:22 we want to do in the world
1:44:24 how do we want to affect people how do
1:44:26 we want to impact our
1:44:29 communities because the thing that you
1:44:31 thought you couldn't do you're now going
1:44:33 to have 10 of these employees to go do
1:44:35 or a hundred or a thousand or a million
1:44:38 right five years out these things are
1:44:40 going to be just dynamically out doing
1:44:41 all sorts of [ __ ] like the opportunity
1:44:44 here is [ __ ] crazy it doesn't look
1:44:47 anything like your current job or my
1:44:49 current job
1:44:54 so just [ __ ] get yourself as curious
1:44:58 as you can possibly be and as adaptable
1:45:01 as you can possibly be because
1:45:03 everything's going to change and it's
1:45:05 not just going to change for the worst I
1:45:07 know it feels like that right
1:45:10 now
1:45:11 um all right someone had a pinup on Tik
1:45:17 Tok did I miss
1:45:20 it come and check out ah yes
1:45:24 tomorrow tonight's Friday Friday night
1:45:26 date night pateon
1:45:28 modder are are uh our favorite PhD that
1:45:33 hangs out in the
1:45:34 channel pretty sure he's our only PhD
1:45:36 that hangs out in the channel but maybe
1:45:39 not who knows um PT modder in the AI
1:45:43 Salon is is um is doing a demystifying
1:45:49 AI series starting tomorrow it's at what
1:45:52 what is it 1 p.m. Pacific time and the
1:45:56 details are in the AI salon so let me
1:46:00 show you where they
1:46:05 are so I'm in the AI
1:46:07 salon and if you come to the AI Salon oh
1:46:10 I'm not sharing that tab am I loser
1:46:13 loser baby why don't you kill

1:46:30 step start your adventure um sequence
1:46:33 there's news areas there's show off your
1:46:35 work and then there's this area called
1:46:36 clubs and
1:46:38 hubs um down below the Irregulars which
1:46:41 is our club is a club called AI
1:46:43 mechanics with pate if you go in
1:46:46 there um and go to the posts
1:46:53 um you'll see this demystifying AI
1:46:55 hands-on experience so the first one is
1:46:58 tomorrow 1: p.m. Pacific Time 2: p.m.
1:47:01 mountain um 4 pm
1:47:04 Eastern and he's going to be talking
1:47:06 about uh the difference between um
1:47:10 traditional machine learning and deep
1:47:11 learning and it's like like if you want
1:47:14 to if you want to really understand
1:47:15 what's going on under the hood with
1:47:17 these things um you've got a a really
1:47:19 talented guy willing to kind of bring
1:47:23 this thing down to an explainable level
1:47:25 so I'm super excited about that so go do
1:47:26 that all right um go sign up for that if
1:47:30 you if you have not beautiful so thank
1:47:33 you for doing that pton by the way if
1:47:34 you don't know what the AI Salon is go
1:47:36 to there the salon. a click on join our
1:47:41 community and that will take you to that
1:47:43 site that I just showed you or that's
1:47:44 that's behind the sign right there the
1:47:46 other thing I want you to check out uh
1:47:48 for the weekend is are you ready for
1:47:50 ai.com this
1:47:53 is uh coming on February 1 is a um a
1:47:59 training a training series a training uh
1:48:02 program uh to prep you for AI so all the
1:48:06 stuff I was just talking about like what
1:48:08 our jobs are going to be in the future
1:48:10 basically require intense amounts of
1:48:12 curiosity and adaptability and that's
1:48:15 what this training is all about so go
1:48:17 check that out if you can sign up for it
1:48:19 and you'll get information once we have
1:48:21 details ready to go
1:48:23 um the other request that I have is this
1:48:26 if you're on YouTube and you haven't
1:48:28 subscribed to it yet please
1:48:30 subscribe o over the weekend um do me a
1:48:34 favor and just hit the play button on
1:48:36 some of the videos in the AI learning
1:48:38 lab CH Channel we're trying to get our
1:48:39 view hours up you could choose to watch
1:48:43 them uh it would be very similar to what
1:48:45 you watch tonight and if you're like I
1:48:47 can't [ __ ] take much more than a
1:48:49 minute of that just turn it on mute it
1:48:51 and go you know M the on um that would
1:48:55 be
1:48:56 appreciated
1:48:58 [Laughter]
1:49:01 okay all three of my degrees are in
1:49:03 computer science that's from
1:49:11 Pate oh not math but PhD oh Dr Jay's a
1:49:15 PhD nice oh we have multiple phds we are
1:49:19 an International Community we have we we
1:49:23 have multiple
1:49:25 phds that are
1:49:28 irregular and and members of this
1:49:30 community and then we've got the YouTube
1:49:32 people and the Tik Tok people and they
1:49:34 hate each other good Lord they hate each
1:49:36 other it's it's worse than politics in
1:49:38 here you should hear him sniping oh must
1:49:41 be nice on your big giant horizontal
1:49:44 screen and they're like shut up squinty
1:49:47 eyes you know with your teeny little
1:49:49 Tick Tock it's it's really brutal it's a
1:49:51 lot of trolling lot of hate lot of hate
1:49:54 and you know what we say around here
1:49:55 there's no hate love your
1:49:58 neighbor love your
1:50:00 YouTuber you know what I'm saying and
1:50:02 then there's the people on X no one
1:50:04 talks to them it's just a different
1:50:09 thing oh Lily Bon is a PhD fan fraking
1:50:14 tastic Harbor Light visuals Oracle net
1:50:16 site Erp consultant here dedicating this
1:50:20 year to AI yes [ __ ] yes
1:50:23 I'm I'm serious okay I'm gonna I'm gonna
1:50:27 take so normally what I do on Friday
1:50:29 night date nights is I'll give you
1:50:30 homework for the weekend since the Deep
1:50:32 dive was on operator and not a lot of
1:50:34 people have access to it I'm not going
1:50:35 to do anything around
1:50:37 that what I will do is this um your
1:50:42 homework for the
1:50:44 weekend is to get one person that you
1:50:48 know that's not interested in AI somehow
1:50:51 interested in AI
1:50:53 we've got to start
1:50:56 expanding our
1:50:59 Circle our
1:51:02 connections to get curious about this
1:51:04 [ __ ] the tools are improving
1:51:08 dramatically quickly like it is
1:51:10 impossible to keep up with even what's
1:51:14 happening within chat GPT like like
1:51:16 literally tonight I'm like fumbling
1:51:19 through you can now run code in chat GP
1:51:23 but everything's Behind These Byzantine
1:51:26 bizarre little icons and corners and now
1:51:29 we've got operators and it's not clear
1:51:31 what they actually
1:51:34 do and that's just one Suite of tools
1:51:38 from one company this is happening
1:51:39 across the board 2025 is going to be the
1:51:43 year where these things show up in such
1:51:46 a way that it's going to start [ __ ]
1:51:48 with people's
1:51:49 livelihoods the more people that are on
1:51:51 the sidelines
1:51:53 that are not aware of what's Happening
1:51:55 they're just going to be smacked upside
1:51:56 the [ __ ]
1:51:58 head so your homework for the weekend if
1:52:01 you choose to accept it and and I there
1:52:04 I will grade this you will get a grade
1:52:07 you have to turn in your paper like all
1:52:10 students is just find someone in your
1:52:13 life that's been resisting this and show
1:52:15 them something cool make them AO song
1:52:18 sit down and make a picture with them
1:52:19 that makes them happy make them a recipe
1:52:23 for their new keto diet whatever the
1:52:25 [ __ ] it is it doesn't matter find some
1:52:28 way to bridge from where you are to
1:52:30 where they are with one
1:52:33 person so we've got 73 people on Tik Tok
1:52:37 we've got 50 people on X or
1:52:40 YouTube more than a hundred people if if
1:52:43 you if you get one person to go yeah you
1:52:46 know what I'm going to play with that
1:52:48 chat GPT is free you don't have to pay a
1:52:50 cent for like you can use all of the
1:52:53 things in fact Sam Alman today said that
1:52:56 free
1:52:57 users are going to have the 03 mini
1:53:00 reasoning
1:53:02 engine like a hundreds 100 queries a
1:53:06 week for free users like a full-on
1:53:10 [ __ ] 01 class reasoning
1:53:15 engine so like there's no [ __ ] excuse
1:53:18 not to be playing with this stuff
1:53:20 there's at least five phds here per Dr J
1:53:24 listen well I listen I don't like to
1:53:26 brag about my my triple phds in uh in
1:53:31 science and quantum physics and advanced
1:53:33 mathematics I don't like to brag about
1:53:35 it um because I
1:53:39 can't all right fantastic all right
1:53:43 fantastic that's that's good all right
1:53:45 um I've already gotten 85 students
1:53:47 interested in using AI daily yes Mr
1:53:49 Allan uh Mr Studio fantastic
1:53:53 um you know having having Educators who
1:53:57 are actively encouraging critical
1:54:00 thinking and uh and
1:54:04 amplifying students
1:54:06 talents Hal [ __ ]
1:54:09 luah I every time I hear of a [ __ ]
1:54:12 educator that's like we've got AI
1:54:14 detectors they're working great I want
1:54:16 to smack him in the [ __ ] head all
1:54:19 right I know it was a little violent but
1:54:21 I'm Gen X what are you gonna do drank
1:54:23 out of a hose all right we had a last
1:54:27 weekend and Sin City sipper crafted a
1:54:29 delicious drink oh
1:54:32 nice everyone was impressed that's
1:54:35 awesome yeah if you wanna if you w to uh
1:54:37 if you want to play with uh with custom
1:54:40 gpts go look up Sin City sipper that was
1:54:43 my very first custom GPT and still my
1:54:45 favorite I get because of tasks in in
1:54:49 open AI um I get a uh
1:54:53 I get a drink recipe a day right into my
1:54:56 inbox it's fan
1:54:58 frantastic all right people I'm going to
1:55:00 get out of here I hope you had fun
1:55:01 tonight Friday night date night I'm sure
1:55:04 you're all like sugar crashing you know
1:55:07 having eaten your French toast or your
1:55:08 hot pocket uh you probably got like
1:55:11 nacho crumbs down on your belly that
1:55:13 this is the way we like to end the
1:55:15 evening you should feel slightly
1:55:17 nauseous and but you know you can't
1:55:20 sleep th this is this is what we shoot
1:55:23 for in Friday night date night your date
1:55:26 should have left by now they probably
1:55:28 left within the first 10 minutes that's
1:55:30 what we're looking for that's a solid
1:55:32 evening all right steo I have a PhD in
1:55:35 Pharmacology I worked in the field for
1:55:36 35 years good Lord we've got some
1:55:38 impressive Irregulars in here and I
1:55:41 thought steo was just you know
1:55:43 exploiting child labor to hit the like
1:55:44 button on Tik Tok you know you just
1:55:46 never know you never know who's on the
1:55:48 internet who's on the other side of the
1:55:50 screen that's super cool actually a PhD
1:55:53 pizza delivery expert there you
1:55:58 go oh thank you Kyle mods and Brandon
1:56:01 yeah thank you mods thanks Brandon for
1:56:04 for uh producing uh so swell tonight it

1:56:40 yeah I'll check it out sometime no like
1:56:41 get them [ __ ] hooked on it like oh my
1:56:44 God here okay here's the homework
1:56:47 assignment your homework assignment for
1:56:49 the weekend is find one person that you
1:56:51 know or don't know that doesn't know
1:56:54 anything about Ai and give them their
1:56:57 first Kevin mallister moment remember
1:56:59 home alone this
1:57:03 moment you can get you can do that with
1:57:05 someone within [ __ ] five minutes with
1:57:07 this stuff so give someone their first
1:57:09 Kevin McAllister a moment and and and
1:57:12 you know show them what's what's
1:57:13 actually possible with this stuff all
1:57:15 right homework uh and also go to P's
1:57:18 class tomorrow 1 pm Pacific time all
1:57:21 right and Tik Tock pin please don't be
1:57:23 afraid of the sessions it's not a
1:57:24 lecture it's aimed for beginners not not
1:57:26 experts yeah even though Pate is you
1:57:29 know way advanced in this stuff he's
1:57:31 coming
1:57:32 back like he's out on the ocean like in
1:57:35 the on the troller you know getting
1:57:37 shrimp from the deep Waters he's coming

1:57:41 educated to be able to get on the boats
1:57:43 okay so check check that thing out funny
1:57:46 Tick Tock pin all right homework
1:57:47 assignment become an AI Jehovah's
1:57:49 Witness yeah you can you can if you want
1:57:52 to give him a free Rose or a free
