10/1/2025 - A Hands-On Demo of OpenAI's Sora 2 and the Wildly Fun New 'Cameo' Feature

Description
In case you haven't heard, Sora2 has arrived. Let's play.
In a detailed exploration of OpenAI's new video model, Kyle Shannon dives deep into the capabilities and quirks of Sora 2. The standout feature, and the primary focus of the discussion, is "Cameo," an incredibly accessible self-cloning tool. Kyle explains how users can create a digital version of themselves in seconds by simply recording a short clip, which then allows them to "tag" themselves, their friends, and even public figures like Sam Altman into any video scene. He describes this as a "personal hyper personalized meme generator," highlighting its potential for creating hilarious and shareable content, from dancing in a jazz class with the OpenAI CEO to starring in a 90s-style toy commercial.
Beyond the initial fun, Kyle contemplates the broader implications of such powerful and user-friendly AI video generation. He moves past initial skepticism of it being another "AI slop app," reframing Sora 2 as a fascinating piece of social software that will empower storytellers. The conversation suggests that as these tools become ubiquitous, the value will shift from technical ability to creative vision, placing the emphasis back on human storytelling and self-expression. While acknowledging the platform's current technical issues, including a buggy website and app, the overwhelming sentiment is one of excitement for how this technology will change content creation and social interaction.

0:00 Yes, I'm ready. Are you ready? Yes, I'm 0:04 ready to fall in love. 0:10 [Music] 0:18 I met my baby at the F club underneath 0:21 the time cafe on the corner of Eden for 0:25 street late one day. 0:28 She offered me a red strap. I said, 0:31 "Baby, not a chance." I could go for 0:34 tall ginger ale. How about we just 0:36 dance? We did the boom shaboom. I did 0:39 it. Mocha choking the nitty-gritty. Is 0:42 this not enough guitar for you? You want 0:44 to higher notes? 1:00 She came on the hill last 1:04 front. 1:06 [Music] 1:09 Let's sit next to you while I shiver and 1:13 shake. 1:14 [Music] 1:21 Good evening, good people. What's 1:23 happening? We gonna be talking Sora 1:25 tonight. 1:27 I worked out yesterday. I'm a little 1:29 Sora. 1:35 [Music] 1:44 Girl, you're looking 1:48 found 1:49 [Music] 1:52 every fellas 1:54 got you in his sight. 1:57 [Music] 2:00 What you doing with a clown like me? 2:06 Surely one of life's little 2:10 mysteries 2:13 mysteries. So tonight 2:17 [Music] 2:19 stars above 2:20 [Music] 2:26 your love. 2:28 What could I do? 2:30 [Music] 2:34 Woohoo! 2:38 [Music] 2:51 [Music] 2:55 All right. 2:57 [Music] 3:09 She came on here like slow moving cold 3:12 front. 3:14 [Music] 3:24 Good evening. Good evening. Good 3:26 evening. What's happening, Danielle? 3:30 [Music] 3:42 Woohoo! 3:52 [Music] 3:56 No! 3:58 [Music] 4:09 [Music] 4:20 Oh, lordy, lordy, lordy. What are we 4:23 going to do tonight? What are we going 4:25 to do? 4:28 Happy Rashashana. I think it is the 4:30 beginning of Rashashana. Is that right? 4:32 Let me Google that. Let me make sure I'm 4:34 not making an ass of myself. 4:38 [Music] 4:40 Hol day today. 4:48 Yam Yam Kapoor. Yes. Just like Rashana 4:52 except completely different. 5:00 H. 5:03 Ah, the goyam. 5:07 Apologies. 5:09 Yes. Yes. 5:12 [Music] 5:47 Oh no, Danielle's been having a lot of 5:49 fun with my cameo. Well, I think it's 5:51 only fair because 5:54 because I've been having fun with Sam 5:56 Alman's. I suppose I should just make 5:58 mine fully public like he did. I don't I 6:01 don't think it's fully public. So if you 6:04 uh 6:05 if you if if and you don't know what 6:07 we're talking about, so uh OpenAI came 6:10 out with Sora 2, 6:13 which looks like it's quite remarkable, 6:15 but they did something with it that um 6:20 I think is really fascinating, like 6:23 really good. 6:24 Um let me switch. Oh, I don't have 6:26 producer Brandon tonight. It is Yam 6:29 Kapor. He's out. 6:32 So, um, 6:36 wishing the loveliest of evenings for 6:39 him. 6:40 Um, 6:43 okay. I love Sor 2. Yeah, Sor 2 is 6:45 amazing. Okay, so 6:49 I'll give you a little context. 6:53 I love the guy in the gold disco pants. 6:55 What do you mean the guy? This is the 6:58 guy in the gold disco pants. 7:01 You don't think I got moves? I got 7:03 moves. Look at my latest one. I'm in I I 7:06 have leg warmers on with Sam Alman 7:08 teaching him jazz class. 7:19 All right, let me share my let me share 7:22 my screen. 7:25 Audio seems to be cutting out over here. 7:29 Oh, 7:31 maybe need to close the app and come 7:32 back in. Oh, you know what else I might 7:34 need to do? Hang on a sec. 7:42 Oh, and the page is unresponsive. So, 7:44 this is one of the bad things about 7:47 um 7:50 one of the bad things about Sora is 7:53 their website is 7:57 horrifically buggy. 8:01 Um 8:04 okay, there's flat. Hello. Hello. Hello. 8:09 Let me try 8:36 the scenes. 8:40 Let me go here. Is that better? 8:43 It's not cutting out for me. Okay, I 8:45 closed out. Kyle, there was a Sora app 8:48 update a couple of hours ago. Still a 8:51 little buggy. better than before. 8:54 I'm sad about Sora. 8:56 I'm an Android user. Well, if you have a 8:59 if you have an invite code, Valerie, you 9:01 can you can do it on the web. Sora.j 9:03 chatgpt.com. 9:05 You can do this on the web as well, but 9:07 the web app is very buggy. 9:13 Hang on. I've got messed up stuff going 9:15 on here. No, I don't. That should be 9:17 good. Test test test. Oh, maybe it's not 9:21 working. Test. Test. It's working there. 9:23 Can you hear me? 9:25 Can you all hear me? 9:31 Hello? Hello? Can you hear me? Can you 9:34 hear me 9:37 [Music] 9:41 now? I know you can on Tik Tok. 9:44 Valerie Cox. Yes. Hearing you. Okay, 9:47 we're good to go. 9:50 Hello anyone? 9:52 Sound is perfect. Wow, Danielle. So 9:56 wait. 9:58 Oh, you meant technically. 10:03 Okay, so here we go, kids. 10:06 What? What did that just do? That just 10:09 did that. 10:11 We're going to do that. 10:16 All right. Fantastic. Yeah, it's really 10:19 fantastic. There we go. Yeah, it's good. 10:23 All right, so let's go. 10:26 How are we going to do this? We'll go to 10:29 the homepage. It this this site may just 10:32 crash. 10:36 Oh, it already did. 10:41 Wow. Yeah, this is a really buggy 10:45 really buggy website. Hang on. 11:05 The hell happened there? 11:11 What? 11:19 There is just weirdness going on here, 11:21 people. Hang on. Having all sorts of 11:24 weirdass technical issues. 11:29 What? Why am I getting weird padding? 11:51 All right, I think I'm good. 11:56 My th 11:58 this web browser just decided to just 12:01 get weird. Got weird, man. 12:06 the Tik Tok. Okay. All right. Something 12:09 went wrong. Please try in a few minutes. 12:11 Oh, their servers are hosed. 12:20 Yeah, their servers are hosed. Okay. 12:23 Well, 12:26 huh. 12:27 This might be a 12:30 an attempt in futility. 12:38 It can be tricky. Yeah, it can be 12:40 tricky. It's a little buggy. 12:44 Okay. 12:46 >> Welcome Renaissance. 12:49 [Music] 12:51 >> Welcome to the Great Renaissance. You 12:54 know that word has 12:57 AI in it, right? 13:00 [Music] 13:00 [Laughter] 13:13 [Music] 13:15 Great Renaissance. You know that word 13:17 has AI in it, right? 13:21 [Music] 13:24 >> Welcome to the Great Renaissance. You 13:27 know that word has AI in it, right? 13:32 All right, I'll stop. 13:37 Wait, how do I 13:41 Why 13:41 >> Kyle? What do you 13:42 >> Oh my god. 13:53 >> Wow. 13:56 Sweet. 14:03 Kyle, what do you think OpenAI needs the 14:04 most right now? 14:05 >> What you really need is a cranky Gen Xer 14:07 in the corner office. 14:09 >> That is brilliant. 14:12 Okay, 14:14 so let me go out to the the make page. 14:20 Boy, this is bad and buggy. 14:25 All 14:29 right. I guess I'll just have to talk 14:30 about 14:31 >> what do you think open 14:33 >> um 14:37 let's see where do we even begin 14:40 literally lol oh oh you know what I 14:42 where I can show you probably 14:49 um 14:52 grinder is going to crash like like an 14:54 an RNC convention um okay yeah exactly 14:59 Exactly. This is This is going to be 15:00 crazy. But what you're looking at when 15:03 you see me in disco pants and dancing 15:06 with Sam Alman and and Sam Alman asking 15:09 me for advice is a new feature that 15:12 OpenAI created called Cameo. 15:16 Um, let me open my photos app because it 15:18 won't crash. And I I at least have some 15:20 of these videos shared there. I can't 15:23 believe how how shitty their their 15:25 website is. It's it's just unusable. 15:28 Um, okay. Let me share my this screen 15:35 and then let me go here. All right. So, 15:38 I got a I got a few videos in here. 15:43 This one. 15:46 No, that's 15:48 that's just me. 15:51 That's actual me. 15:52 >> Change your relationship with 15:54 >> Look how boring it is. See, here's the 15:56 thing about making AI versions of you. 15:59 You see real versions of you and like 16:00 that sucks. 16:02 No one no wonder no one watches my 16:04 videos. 16:06 I should have learned twerking. But you 16:09 put up one of these bad boys. 16:17 >> Know that word has AI in it, right? 16:24 Okay. Uh, 16:28 >> Kyle, what do you think OpenAI needs the 16:29 most right now? What you really need is 16:31 a cranky Gen Xer in the corner office. 16:34 >> That's good. 16:43 >> So, where are we headed? Into the 16:45 future, Sam. 16:47 Far into the future. 16:57 your why. When you prompt your purpose, 16:59 when you tell AI your ideas, your 17:01 questions, your feedback, AI amplifies 17:03 you. AI is not the genius. You are 17:07 >> AI. 17:22 [Music] 17:27 That's funny, Kyle. But seriously, what 17:28 do you think we should do next? Kyle, 17:31 >> compute for everyone. 17:33 [Applause] 17:37 >> That was almost as awkward as the real 17:38 people. 17:41 >> Oh, this is a good one. This doesn't 17:44 have me in it. 17:46 >> When the world gets extreme, only one 17:47 dude shrugs it off. Fully posable with 17:50 real attitude voice 17:53 out in the coffee shop. 17:57 >> Gen X survivor. 18:00 Um, 18:05 >> AI isn't the genius. People are. 18:09 How do we keep that center stage? feed 18:11 the prompt with humanity first. 18:18 For tonight's 18:20 This is why so few people are here. 18:22 >> I'm standing out here because tonight's 18:23 the night. If you want to sharpen your 18:24 problems, build cooler tools, and 18:25 actually understand what the models are 18:26 doing. The AI learning lab goes live at 18:28 8:00 Mountain time. It's free. It's 18:29 hands-on. We're going to push you a 18:30 level up. 18:34 >> Here's the last one I did. 18:39 Good. Again. 18:41 Side. Got it. I'm following. Don't let 18:42 me mess it up. Shoulder shake. Nice. 18:44 Knee up. Feels very 80s in the best way. 18:50 [Laughter] 18:54 Um, 18:56 so here's 18:58 here's what I find fascinating about 19:00 this. 19:02 Um, 19:06 I take AI fairly seriously, right? I've 19:10 been doing these lives every night for 19:12 two years. 19:13 Um, 19:18 and I take 19:20 checking out the the video models pretty 19:22 seriously because, 19:24 you know, th those start to be a new 19:27 level of understanding of AI, AI 19:29 understanding our world, right? 19:31 Um, and Sora 2 is a really good video 19:34 model, but I'm not using 19:37 anything other than this Cameo feature. 19:39 And so, here's the there's a couple of 19:41 things that are significant about the 19:42 Cameo feature. One is, as Danielle 19:45 pointed out in the YouTube comments, 19:48 when you 19:50 um clone yourself, you basically just 19:53 hit record and it gives you three 19:55 twodigit numbers. So you go like 66 9722 20:01 and then it says look to the left, look 20:02 to the right or look up, look down. It 20:04 like tells you to look somewhere if it 20:07 doesn't have the rest of your face. Um 20:10 and that's it. You're done. It processes 20:12 for about a minute and then it basically 20:15 puts your little head your your little 20:17 circle icon 20:20 um in a row just just like Tik Tok does, 20:23 right? you know, all your friends. You 20:24 can tag your friends to send them videos 20:26 and [ __ ] like that. Except in this case, 20:28 when you tag their little circle, it 20:31 puts their name in in your prompt and 20:33 you can add you or your friends or your 20:37 pet into any scene. 20:43 And it's there are other video models 20:45 that can do this. Except with those 20:48 video models, every time you want to put 20:50 yourself in a scene, you have to upload 20:52 a picture of yourself, go find it, put 20:54 it in there, wonder if it's going to be 20:56 the right one because this one's serious 20:59 and I want a funny scene. 21:01 All of that's gone. All of that. What 21:04 what OpenAI did here is they turned this 21:06 into a personal hyperpersonalized 21:10 meme generator that you could just send 21:14 it whoever it was just said they want to 21:16 do a work presentation with this. 21:18 Imagine doing a work presentation where 21:20 all of your workers are like claymation 21:23 babies in diapers, right? or or whatever 21:26 crazy, you know, crazy animated 21:28 characters or, you know, you've got, you 21:32 know, funny scenes between them. Um, I 21:36 think people are going to use the [ __ ] 21:37 out of this thing 21:39 and 21:42 it's generating audio. It's generating 21:44 dialogue. So, VO3 is no no longer the 21:47 the only one that can generate dialogue. 21:50 Um, it it claimed somewhere that it 21:53 could do 16 seconds. I haven't gotten it 21:55 to be able to do more than seven or 21:57 eight. Um, usability and experience is 22:00 the key with this. Yeah. 22:02 And and what's going to happen is so I 22:05 think what they're doing right now is 22:07 you can only get access to Sora 2 with 22:10 an invite code, but every time you get 22:12 an invite code, you're given four more. 22:14 So, what we're trying to do, so if 22:16 you're an AI salon member and you get an 22:18 invite code, go to the AI salon and 22:21 share your invite code there. What we're 22:22 trying to do is get as many people as 22:24 possible invite codes. I know uh 22:26 Danielle did that. So, coordinate with 22:28 Danielle if you don't know where to 22:29 post. Um, 22:35 but this is this is a big deal because 22:38 this is this is sort of the uh this is 22:40 this is the crack business model, right? 22:42 you know, you you give away the video 22:45 generation that's super fun for free to 22:48 lots of people. Get them used to 22:51 generating AI video. It's funny, Kyle 22:54 Balmer, who's a he's a Tik Tocker that 22:56 talks about AI stuff a lot. And two days 22:59 ago, he put out a video that said, so 23:02 OpenAI 23:03 released an AI slop app. Um, 23:08 and uh, today he posted a an apology. 23:14 He goes, "It's not AI slot. 23:17 It's it's a really interesting social 23:20 experiment. It's a really piece of inter 23:22 really piece of an interesting piece of 23:25 social software. Um, because you're 23:28 going to be able to do all this stuff 23:29 with your friends and people are going 23:31 to do it and they're not going to think 23:33 of it as AI generated. They're just 23:35 going to be like, "Did you see that 23:36 stupid video I sent of you? You were 23:38 juggling pig knuckles." 23:46 And this is how they indoctrinate us. 23:48 They let us make dancing baby videos of 23:51 our friends. My sora disappeared. 23:55 Well, it's so far tonight it's been 23:58 really buggy. Genie, was it Genie? Yeah. 24:01 Um, they also updated the app. So, what 24:04 you might want to do, Genie, is update 24:06 the app in the App Store. Right now, I 24:09 think it's iOS only, but you can also do 24:12 it on the web. Um, and it's invite only. 24:16 And I I wish the site were a little more 24:18 stable or we'd go make some videos. 24:21 Um, but it's it's quite simple to put 24:23 in, you know, to put in another yourself 24:26 or another person in a scene. You just 24:28 at their name and there it is. 24:32 It's quite crazy crazy crazy crazy. 24:37 Um, what you want to talk about tonight, 24:40 good people? H, 24:43 you want to talk about the internet AI? 24:51 [Music] 24:58 Um, 24:59 [Music] 25:00 Um, 25:02 you and Sam. I know. Did you see the the 25:05 one? 25:10 Uh, wait. I got to go look at something. 25:17 Hold, please. 25:36 All right, I'm back. I'm back, people. 25:42 I want to revisit your pet GPT. 25:47 We got cut off again. Dead air. Well, 25:50 no, I was off checking a freebie alert. 25:53 Um 25:56 um 25:59 which which pet GPT? The the app that I 26:02 made the the pet selfie maker 26:06 abandoned just like my childhood. 26:12 Only Gen Xers find those kind of jokes 26:15 funny. I think that's hilarious. 26:19 I used to tell stories of my childhood 26:21 and people would be like, "Oh my god, 26:25 I'm like I thought it was funny." 26:34 Oh man, 26:36 Jim Ross, I have been unplugged for four 26:39 days. I missed on Sora 2 news. Uh I will 26:43 connect with you, Jim Ross. 26:46 Um, yeah, it's really good. It's It's 26:49 really good. Jim, I gotta tell you, um, 26:52 if anyone has a code, send it to Jim 26:55 Ross. I may have one left. I'm not sure. 26:58 Um, I think you with with the storage 27:02 game could be really fun. Let's let me 27:04 let me flip back over to uh Sora for a 27:07 second. 27:10 Uh, I don't even think I can 27:14 quick photos. Hang on a sec. 27:19 [Music] 27:29 Sort of. 27:32 Let's go. Not library. 27:39 We'll see if we can get it to work. 27:43 Okay. So, we're going to do at Kyle 27:48 Shannon. 27:49 So, there's me um standing in front of a 27:56 storage 27:59 a self storage facility. self 28:03 storage facility 28:10 called 28:12 quote three mile storage 28:18 [Music] 28:24 called three Mile Storage. 28:26 Um 28:28 he's 28:30 talking about how AI 28:36 powered 28:38 storage units are the future 28:46 and then says 28:51 Jim Ross told me though. 28:58 Told me so. 29:07 There's that guy with this stupid little 29:09 go-kart moped 29:11 mini bike thing. Okay, that's going. 29:20 Oh, I bet I just crashed the page. Okay. 29:24 So, there's the page. I think I'm just 29:26 gonna close the page al together. It's 29:28 going to turn off sharing. That's okay. 29:30 All right. We'll come back to that. 29:33 So, we'll watch Jim Ross's thing. But I 29:36 think I think with uh with Sora, too, 29:38 you could have a hell of a lot of fun 29:40 with all your storage buddies there, 29:41 Jim. Um, 29:47 yeah. again. I 29:52 I am 29:54 when I when I heard that when I heard 29:57 that Open AI was going to create a Tik 30:01 Tok like feed app that used AI video. 30:05 They're like the third one. No, they're 30:07 the fourth one now. I thought, "Oh, 30:10 that's stupid." 30:12 But the Cameo feature is really good. 30:17 Um, 30:20 and it's funny. I haven't seen anyone 30:22 talking about anything else on X. I like 30:26 normally when a new video model comes 30:28 out, they're like, "Look at these cool 30:29 clips. Look at these cool clips." And 30:30 this is just like, "Look, I made a 30:33 picture of me ice skating." 30:38 Um, 30:40 what about for a salon meeting? What 30:42 about for a salon meeting? Demoing. 30:45 demoing this. Is Sora part of OpenAI? 30:48 Yes. So, Sora is the video model from 30:53 OpenAI. It It was built into chat GPT, 30:56 then it wasn't. It was separate, and now 30:58 it's completely separate. They don't 31:00 even list it in there. 31:04 Um, 31:06 latch key crew. That's hilarious. 31:13 Um, 31:20 I was trying to think what else I was 31:21 Oh, you know what else I did? I um I uh 31:27 I blew through all of my midjourney fast 31:31 renders in one day 31:35 at the beginning of the month. So, I 31:37 don't I don't have any midjourney fast 31:39 renders and I'm just I'm already paying 31:41 a ridiculous amount of money. So, while 31:44 midjourney video is really good, it 31:46 burns through your credits like crazy. 31:49 So, be careful with that. Um, 31:54 I suppose we could go to the the pet 31:56 maker. What did you source camp? What 31:58 did you want to do with the pet maker? 32:04 Oh, like have all the people be babies? 32:07 I misheard. I guess you can do that. 32:13 Thanks, Kyle. From the back row of the 32:15 class. 32:21 People that sit in the back row of the 32:22 class are my favorite people. 32:25 [ __ ] [ __ ] brown nosers that sit up 32:28 front. [ __ ] 32:30 You can't make fun of people in the 32:32 class if you're sitting in the front 32:34 row. They're making fun of you. And if 32:37 you were the one that sat sat in the 32:38 front row, that's why you were bullied. 32:42 It's not It's not our fault. 32:52 We had no choice. You were hilarious. 32:57 All right. 33:00 You were right in the middle trying some 33:02 different things. It got late and we 33:05 stopped. Super cute. 33:07 Oh. 33:09 Um, I can go I can go play with that 33:12 again. I But I think I got it to the 33:14 point that I Oh, you No, you know what 33:15 it was. Source Camp, thanks for the 33:18 reminder. 33:20 I um 33:25 I finished it that night after I after I 33:29 left. 33:31 Okay. So, if you want to play with a pet 33:35 selfie maker, 33:38 go to 33:41 pet-selfie.lovable.app. 33:47 Oh, wait. my my Sora. Um my Hang on, Jim 33:52 Ross is still here. We got to go look at 33:55 my my storage commercial. 34:01 You kept working without us. I know. 34:04 It's so rude. Right 34:08 now I have to share this. Share this tab 34:09 instead. 34:11 Go in here. 34:12 >> Front of three miles. I'm standing in 34:13 front of three Mile Storage and I want 34:15 to talk about where self storage is 34:16 headed. These units behind me aren't 34:18 just climate controlled, they're AI 34:20 powered. They know when you pull up, 34:22 unlock themselves. I'm standing in front 34:23 of three Mile Storage, and I want to 34:25 talk about where self storage is headed. 34:27 These units behind me aren't just 34:28 climate control, they're AI powered. 34:30 They know when you pull up, unlock 34:32 themselves. 34:32 >> All right, so let's do let's do uh let's 34:35 edit this. Can I edit this? Yeah, Kyle 34:38 Shannon. Okay, let's see. Standing in 34:41 front of three Mile Storage, he's 34:42 talking about 34:45 Let's see. He's talking about um 34:49 the future 34:53 is 34:57 people paying you 35:02 to store 35:09 um their garbage. 35:14 And then we're going to do this. I'm 35:16 going to do this at the beginning. I'm 35:17 going to do in the style 35:20 of a '9s 35:24 um toy commercial. 35:37 [Music] 35:42 Okay. 35:46 Jim Ross, holy [ __ ] I gotta figure out 35:48 how to get access to Sor. I've got 35:49 ideas. Um, I may have one code left, 35:52 Jim. I'll if I do, I'll give it to you. 35:54 I'll I'll check. I'll I'll DM you later. 35:57 Um, 35:59 but yeah, it's crazy, right? And I'm 36:02 Wait, did I post this? I thought I 36:03 posted it. Maybe I didn't. 36:07 Okay, so that's off making its thing. 36:09 I'm going to close that tab so it 36:11 doesn't crash. Okay, now we're back 36:13 here. We're back at the pet selfie 36:14 maker. Hang on, let me let me get it 36:17 going. So, I um on last 36:23 Monday, when did I do it? Was it last 36:26 Friday? I don't know when it was. It was 36:28 Monday night. 36:30 I was working on this pet selfie maker 36:32 and there were a couple of things that 36:33 were bad about it, but I fixed them all 36:36 after we uh after we uh got back 36:41 together. So, what you do here is I'm at 36:45 lovable.dev 36:48 and if you've never vibecoded before, if 36:50 you've never created a an application 36:53 without having to know any code, you 36:56 can. Now what Lovable has done is they 37:00 have built um 37:03 all right let me let me give you a 37:05 little bit of a little bit of background 37:07 about when you do software development 37:10 there are four or five major components 37:14 that you need to account for there's the 37:16 app itself right so the Tik Tok app u 37:20 eBay 37:22 Salesforce whatever the app is that you 37:24 want to create 37:27 and then there are some components that 37:29 are needed for that thing to work. One 37:32 of them is authentication. You know how 37:34 you log in? That's like a big deal to 37:36 set up. It's a pain in the ass. The 37:38 second one is a database. You need to 37:40 set up a database. With a database 37:42 schema and a and a database you're 37:44 paying per record or per megabyte, 37:47 gigabyte, whatever the hell you're 37:48 however they work. You need a web 37:51 server, right? the the thing needs to be 37:53 able to be viewed by the world. Um, and 37:56 then the final thing is well, you need 37:58 security and and privacy and like 38:01 correct settings so that you don't get 38:03 hacked. And then you need commerce plus 38:06 your app. Um, and there's probably some 38:10 other things in there, but those are the 38:11 biggies. 38:12 Setting up a database and a backend and 38:14 a web server and authentication and 38:17 security and privacy are all a pain in 38:19 the balls. They're just they're just 38:21 awful. 38:23 If you're a developer, this is your 38:25 life. This is what you've chosen to do. 38:28 But if you're not a developer, if you're 38:30 just like, I got an idea for an app and 38:32 now you have to go learn those five 38:34 disciplines. One, you're going to suck 38:36 suck at it. Two, it's going to be 38:38 miserable. And three, you're going to 38:40 you're probably not going to finish it. 38:42 You're going to set it up wrong. You're 38:43 going to [ __ ] it up. 38:46 um all of the vibe coding apps with a 38:49 couple of exceptions for the most part 38:52 you've had to manage all of those things 38:56 in some form or other. Um Lovable was 38:59 the first one that tried to make it 39:00 easy. But what the the new version of 39:02 Lovable that's 3 days old now 39:05 has the database, the user 39:07 authentication, all the all that base 39:10 setup stuff is built in now. It's not 39:13 separate components. So you can 39:15 literally Oh, the and the other thing 39:16 they added is lovable AI. So you can add 39:20 AI components to your app. And so in my 39:23 case, um they've got Nano Banana and 39:25 they've got Gemini and I don't know if 39:27 they have other stuff, but you can use 39:30 you can make yourself an AI app just by 39:33 describing it. Maybe we'll go do 39:34 something else here in a bit, but I'll 39:36 show you what I built. Hey Kyle, just an 39:38 FYI, Sora app works on the iPad. Ah, 39:42 okay. So, let me start charging that 39:46 because that might be the way to do it 39:49 because I think that the 39:53 Yeah, I'm not I'm not charged. Let me 39:55 charge and then I'll I'll deal with 39:56 that. Um, 40:01 okay. So, the the way this thing works. 40:04 So, notice down here I've got the the 40:06 pet selfie gallery. So, I've got a bunch 40:08 of uh Oh, here's a thing we could do to 40:12 fix this or to add to this. Um, 40:19 it's remembered all of the selfies that 40:21 I made of Champ that I decided to save 40:24 and they're just right in here. I can go 40:26 click on them. That's because they're in 40:27 a database. So, it's automatically got 40:29 the database in there. It It's 40:31 automatically generating an AI selfie. 40:33 So, what you do is you upload your 40:35 picture of your dog, which I've already 40:37 done. You name your dog. Then you choose 40:38 a location. So, we're going to choose 40:41 [Music] 40:43 ancient Roman coliseum. Outfit is going 40:46 to be 40:48 uh 40:50 crown with royal cape. We're going to do 40:53 a tall one. And then we're going to say 40:55 generate selfie. And then it's going to 40:57 think it's going to do its thing. 41:03 [Music] 41:15 or is it? 41:20 Maybe I uh maybe my app's dead. Hang on. 41:29 I think my session might have been dead. 41:33 So, we're going to go Time Square, New 41:35 York. We're going to go sunglasses and 41:37 Hawaiian shirt. We're going to go tall. 41:40 And now we're going to generate the 41:41 image. This should work now. 41:46 What's happening, Mel? We're shaking. 41:47 What's going down? 41:59 [Music] 42:03 My thing's broken. Let's go. 42:07 Let's go back to lovable. 42:12 There's my project cardboard. That's my 42:15 a Oh, you can't see that. There's 42:17 project cardboard. This is my add 42:20 project manager app. 42:23 that I made that I got yelled at by real 42:25 developers. 42:29 Let's see. Share this tab instead. Okay, 42:32 here we are. Okay, we're going to sign 42:35 in. 42:41 Um, 42:44 okay. 42:48 So, it So, it remembered all of our 42:50 stuff, which is good. 42:52 There's our There's our images. 42:56 Let me see if it's working back here. My 42:59 guess is it will be working back here 43:01 cuz I relogged in. 43:06 I'm sure it has some That's probably 43:08 some sort of privacy security thing. No. 43:12 Why that not working? Oh, you know what 43:14 this could be? Do tell Kyle. I wonder if 43:18 I'm out of credit. 43:20 Free Gemini 6. Free Gemini AI in your 43:24 apps until October 6th. 43:26 That we knew. Um, 43:30 let's see. The app isn't generating 43:36 selfies right now. 43:39 I wonder if if my account got 43:42 overloaded. 43:53 [Music] 43:55 thinking 44:00 Mary Mary. Well, I guess I'll just start 44:02 with old Sora since I don't have a cheat 44:04 code. You do need a cheat code and you 44:06 can't actually start with old Sora. I 44:08 think they took it down. I think Sora 44:10 one is gone. 44:12 The app is out of AI credits. 44:16 I thought I could use free [ __ ] 44:18 credits. 44:24 I' I've added the error message. AI 44:27 credits exhausted. 44:31 You'll need to add credits to your 44:33 workspace. 44:35 Well, 44:37 that's horseshit that them saying what 44:41 this was this was one of my fears of of 44:44 putting a pet selfie maker out there. 44:47 Credits 99.1 left. 44:52 25 bucks a month. 44:56 Credits remaining. 44:59 99 out of 100. 45:02 You're on the ambassador plan. 45:09 Um, 45:13 help and support's not going to help. 45:20 It says I have 45:24 99.1 45:26 out of 45:31 100 credits available. 45:36 Check again. 45:42 It seems to be letting me create from 45:44 old Sora. Oh, Android mobile. Yeah, on 45:47 Android, Mary Mary, I don't think 45:49 there's an iOS app. So, yeah, I think 45:51 you're uh 45:55 it might mean I've used 99 out of 100, 45:57 Danielle, but okay, looking at the eggs 46:00 edge function logs, the issue is clear. 46:03 The AI gateway is returning an 46:06 insufficient credits error. 46:10 This is specifically about lovable AI 46:12 credits for AI API calls, not other 46:17 lovable editor credits. 46:20 These are two separate credits. Oh, 46:22 editor 99 for using Okay. Lovable AI 46:27 credits. The AI model API calls. 46:32 Well, that's kind of shitty of them to 46:34 tell us we have unlimited credits and 46:37 then not. In fact, let's go to Discord, 46:42 shall we? 46:47 Um, don't switch 46:51 Discord lovable. 46:55 Um, community support maybe. 46:59 No. Let's see. 47:02 questions. 47:04 Hey. Um, as an ambassador, 47:11 I am trying to 47:15 share my pet selfie 47:20 app and it's getting a 47:26 inicient 47:28 [Music] 47:31 AI credits. 47:35 error from the API. 47:39 Um, 47:42 one I thought it was 47:48 unlimited 47:51 credits week 47:54 and as an 47:57 ambassador, 48:00 shouldn't I be able to demo? Question. 48:05 Question. 48:08 There we go. All right. 48:14 [Music] 48:15 Are we having fun yet? 48:17 [Music] 48:20 Oh, but I'm not even sharing where I am. 48:23 I'm still back at this thing that 48:24 doesn't work. Um, okay. I guess 48:32 I wonder if I can even make a new app. 48:38 I wonder if I'm I'm out of credits for 48:40 this app. I don't know. 48:43 All right, I'm not going to make another 48:44 app, but you should go make an app in 48:46 Lovable. 48:49 Hey, and Murphy, what's happening? 48:51 What's shaking? What's going down?Uh. 48:57 Uh, 49:08 what's cracking? Well, I was just trying 49:10 to show people the cool I was trying to 49:13 show the good people the cool app that I 49:15 built, but I can't use it because it 49:17 says I'm out of credit. It's because it 49:19 was too cool. 49:23 Although, look at this. Look at this 49:24 page I'm on. I'm on X. And then up here 49:28 in the corner it says live on X. Kyle 49:30 Shannon with the AI learning lab. 49:32 Welcome everybody. 49:38 Oh man. 49:42 Kiri got Sora access. Nice. It'll only 49:45 get more unhinged from here. 49:48 >> You cannot out accelerate me. 49:54 H I'm telling you, man. The the uh the 49:57 Cameo feature, they're going to win 50:00 because of that. And you know what's 50:02 going to happen? People are going to use 50:03 that stupid [ __ ] Cameo feature. Then 50:06 they're going to start using Sora. Then 50:07 they're going to start using chat GPT. 50:10 Then they're going to fall in love. Like 50:12 this is a 50:14 they're going to burn up some GPUs. But 50:16 you know, 50:18 yeah, open it. Try to go on. You can't 50:22 because onboarding sucks. 50:28 Hello Sarah. Welcome to Nalify's 50:30 onboarding. Aw, don't be scared. Module 50:34 one, security. Sign your paperwork or 50:38 boom. Module two, workplace conduct. 50:41 Rule one, don't fight fire with fire. 50:44 Rule two, let Gordon cool off. Module 50:48 three, benefits enrollment. Dental, 50:51 vision, suplexes included. And just like 50:54 that, you're on board. Wasn't that more 50:56 fun than a usual onboarding session? 50:58 That's what Nullify is for. Bye-bye. 51:01 She's nervous. You would be, too. 51:04 >> Wild, wild, wild, wild. 51:08 Um, let's go let's go do a search for 51:11 Sora 2 and let's let's go look at what 51:14 people are making with it. And we'll go 51:17 we'll do we'll go do this by percentage. 51:19 How what percentage of these videos are 51:23 not going to use the cameo feature? I'm 51:25 going to go with very few. 51:30 I want to keep making these things for 51:31 the rest of my life. 51:46 [Laughter] 51:49 All right, Sora 2 final test for 51:53 generating a 51:55 CM car commercial. 52:09 [Music] 52:27 The other thing that we know we're in 52:29 kind of testing because all of the 52:31 videos are watermarked, which is a pain 52:33 in the butt, but that's what it is. 52:36 No way. This is definitely not okay. 52:39 It's completely out of line. I made it 52:41 so easily. I was freaking dying 52:43 laughing. 53:01 You know the other thing. Okay, so let 53:03 me give you another two cents on this 53:05 one. Um, 53:13 people are going to call this AI slop, 53:17 but what's going to happen is 53:20 storytellers are going to use it to tell 53:22 stories. And you know that's that's one 53:24 that you know they're clearly like 53:26 copying some anime style or a specific 53:30 anime. Um but people are going to start 53:33 making stories that are really good like 53:35 that that 40 second 53:38 um nollie knowledge commercial the the 53:41 HR commercial that was pretty good. Um 53:45 and people are just going to be able to 53:46 start prompting these things into 53:48 existence and they're going to be good. 53:50 It's not going to be AI slop like it's 53:52 it's we're really 53:55 probably within a year of it it'll be 53:58 indistinguishable. 54:00 You know who created something from 54:03 handcrafted storytelling, handcrafted 54:06 editing to this kind of stuff 54:13 which is which is just crazy. And then 54:15 and but 54:17 what then ends up happening 54:20 is it goes back to who's telling the 54:22 best stories, who's telling stories that 54:24 resonate. It goes back to 54:26 self-expression in some weird kind of 54:28 way. If everyone can tell stories, who 54:31 can tell better stories is what'll rise 54:34 above. I don't know. I think we're in 54:37 fascinating fascinating times. 54:41 Why are these all Asian? 54:49 What's this one? Sora on the left. Sora 54:52 2 on the right. This is kind of cool. 54:57 So, no audio. This is Soral one. 55:02 Weird physics. Weird net. 55:06 And then here's 55:07 >> Got it. Up. 55:09 >> Cover middle. 55:10 >> Outside. Outside. 55:10 >> I'm on it. 55:11 >> Set. 55:12 >> Go. A close. Nice swing. 55:16 >> Good job, y'all. 55:17 >> Mine. Got it. 55:18 >> A sand worm just saved the saved the 55:21 ball. 55:25 That's pretty funny. 55:28 All right. What's this one? 55:32 with just a few with just a few hours of 55:36 OpenAI Sora 2 social network for my 55:38 clients and just finished a 218 page 55:42 report. 55:45 [Music] 56:09 Ah, Ann Murphy. Ann Murphy doesn't know. 56:12 So, listen, you should absolutely troll 56:15 her. She doesn't know what the cameo 56:17 feature is in Sora, too, because she 56:20 doesn't come to the lives enough. 56:22 So, you should make fun of her. You 56:24 should absolutely make fun of her. and 56:26 can't keep up. An can't keep up. All 56:30 she's trying to do is totally transform 56:32 the Western Hemisphere society with 56:35 women and AI, but Anne can't keep up. 56:38 Ha. 56:40 Um, 56:42 that's what I would do. 56:45 I'm pretty sure that's what I just did. 56:51 So Ann, what what what 56:54 Sam Alman and crew did. 56:57 Brandon's here. I saw you on Discord. 57:00 Google AI oh is down for lovable. I 57:03 think we melted their servers. That's 57:06 hilarious. Um thank you for checking in, 57:09 Brandon. No. And what what Cameo is is 57:14 it's an incredibly easy um self-cloner. 57:20 So So they basically made a Tik Tok like 57:22 like app that you can only put AI 57:25 generated video in. So you can prompt 57:27 anything you want, cartoons, TV 57:29 commercials, whatever. But they have 57:31 this cameo feature and so you record 57:34 yourself saying three numbers. They put 57:36 up like three numbers like 66, 22, 49 or 57:40 whatever. And you say that and then you 57:41 look left, look right, and that's it. 57:44 And then you get a little circle that 57:46 represents you. And then there's little 57:48 circles that represent your friends or 57:49 anyone that you follow who's got 57:52 permissions on for you to cameo them. 57:55 And then you basically just click on the 57:57 buttons. So you you click on your button 57:59 and you click on my button and you'd 58:00 say, you know, these two, you know, 58:04 juggling fire between each other and 58:07 then it'll make that video. It's insane. 58:09 It's so good. 58:12 I mean, it's still janky. Like, it still 58:14 doesn't look like you have the time or 58:16 sound like you have the time, but it's 58:18 close enough that it doesn't [ __ ] 58:19 matter. 58:21 And like, you know, Sam Alman has turned 58:24 his on. He's just like, "Go ahead, clone 58:25 me. Everyone's going to do it anyway. 58:27 So, I've been taking full advantage 58:30 until he turns that bad boy off. 58:33 [Music] 58:34 Um, I made a video, but it didn't use my 58:38 face. Did you Did you tag yourself, 58:40 Jeff? You've got to You've got to click 58:42 your little thing or put Jeff Flanigan 58:44 or whatever your name is. This is how we 58:47 bully one another now. This is totally 58:49 how we bully one another. Or were you 58:50 talking about me bullying you? I'm just 58:52 a bully. I admitted that earlier before 58:54 you got here. Um, so you have Sam as a 58:58 friend. Kyle, did you not see my Tik Tok 59:00 video here? Let me show you my Tik Tok 59:02 video I made this. I thought this was 59:04 pretty good. 59:08 Hang on. This is going to be good. Um, 59:12 where am I? Here I am. View profile. 59:16 Something went wrong. Refresh. 59:20 Share this tab. 59:26 So, I think most people know that Sam 59:28 Alman's kind of jealous of me, but not a 59:30 lot of people know where it started. It 59:32 was when I was teaching a jazz dance 59:34 class, and uh Sam was one of my 59:36 students. Here, watch. 59:38 >> And step. Good. Again. Side side. Got 59:41 it. I'm following. Don't let me mess it 59:43 up. Shoulder shake. Nice knee up. Sweep. 59:45 Feels very 80s in the best way. And so, 59:47 I think most people know this. 59:54 Oh, those are pretty good. 59:56 >> AI isn't the genius. People are. 59:59 >> No, no, no. 1:00:01 >> How do we keep that center stage? 1:00:03 >> And did you not see my disco? Did you 1:00:06 not see my disco video? Come on, you got 1:00:08 to keep up. You really You really have 1:00:11 to keep up. 1:00:12 >> Okay, I got a code for Sora. Check this 1:00:15 out. 1:00:17 [Music] 1:00:18 Welcome to the Great Renaissance. You 1:00:21 know that word has AI in it, right? 1:00:25 Okay, I got a code for 1:00:34 this is a good one. 1:00:37 So, where are we headed? Into the 1:00:39 future, Sam. Far into the future. 1:00:45 [Laughter] 1:00:48 Uh, 1:00:50 let's see. 1:00:51 >> Check it out. 1:00:51 >> When the world gets extreme, only one 1:00:53 dude shrugs it off. 1:00:54 >> Gen Survivor. 1:00:55 >> Fully poseable with real attitude voice 1:00:57 chip. 1:00:57 >> Whatever. 1:00:58 >> Skate chiller hideout in the coffee 1:00:59 shop. 1:01:00 >> Survivor. 1:01:00 >> Just check it out. 1:01:01 >> When the world gets 1:01:02 >> Gen X Survivor commercial, 1:01:06 >> can you create one now? Yeah, let's go 1:01:08 create one now. the the caveat being 1:01:10 that um 1:01:13 it's a little slow and the site is 1:01:16 incredibly buggy. 1:01:19 But yeah, we can go make one. 1:01:21 Um in fact, why don't we do this? Why 1:01:25 don't we go to chat jeopeta 1:01:29 and I'll show you some that I wrote 1:01:32 earlier. 1:01:36 Um 1:01:38 Cinematography prompts. 1:01:51 So these these are a bunch of Sam Alman 1:01:55 Kyle Shannon ones. So, I I had Chat GPT 1:02:00 um write a write a whole series of skits 1:02:03 where Sam Alman is asking me for advice. 1:02:11 Wide to medium pushing on Sam. Five 1:02:13 years ahead. What do you regret not 1:02:15 doing? Kyle Shannon, teaching literacy, 1:02:17 not efficiency. Tools change wisdom 1:02:19 scales. These aren't funny though. Um, 1:02:24 let's make these. So, Sam 1:02:30 is actually clueless 1:02:34 and asking Kyle how to run Open 1:02:40 AI. 1:02:43 Kyle's 1:02:44 answers are simple, but Sam 1:02:51 is blown away. 1:02:53 So, what I had this thing do is I told 1:02:56 it that it's got to use Kyle Shandon and 1:02:59 Sama because that's how you tag that's 1:03:02 how you tag the cameos. 1:03:05 All right. 1:03:07 Conference room revelation inside the 1:03:09 Glasswald conference room at OpenAI 1:03:11 headquarters. Afternoon light slashes 1:03:13 across the polished table. Samma in a 1:03:16 navy crew neck sweater sits hunched 1:03:18 forward, clearly lost. Kyle Shannon in a 1:03:21 gray blazer and scuffed boots leans back 1:03:23 calmly. Cinematic closeup. Samma. Kyle, 1:03:27 how do I actually run Open AI? Every day 1:03:29 feels like chaos. Kyle, run it like a 1:03:32 prompt. Clarity in, clarity out. 1:03:39 All right, we'll do that. Why not? Okay. 1:03:42 So, that's our prompt and we're tagging 1:03:44 Sama and me. So, I'm just going to paste 1:03:47 that in there. 1:03:49 And then I'm going to generate it. And 1:03:51 then what's nice about having chat GBT 1:03:53 write your prompts. Oh, I didn't change 1:03:56 my Oh, I didn't change it before. Hang 1:03:59 on here. I'll show this tab. 1:04:01 Um, cafeteria confusion. How do I make 1:04:05 sure this place doesn't collapse? Don't 1:04:06 try to be the genius. Build a 10 person 1:04:10 team. That is uh 1:04:14 Oh, I can't change this. I'll change it 1:04:16 over there. 1:04:21 Uh oh. Did this crash already? 1:04:24 Yep. 1:04:28 I'll try one more. All right. paste 1:04:36 10 person team with 1:04:39 chat GPT. 1:04:43 All right. 1:04:46 All right. So, two of them are being 1:04:48 made now. So, a couple of things you can 1:04:50 do. Sora, I don't know what the the 1:04:52 length limit is. It feels like it's 1:04:54 about 8 seconds right now. You can 1:04:56 specify different shots. So, one of the 1:04:58 things I did in chat GPT is I said that 1:05:01 in a in a given clip, it can use between 1:05:04 one and five uh shots or angles or 1:05:08 whatever. And it just automatically 1:05:11 wrote the prompts for it. That was 1:05:12 pretty cool. 1:05:14 Um, I can show you. Oh, no, I can't. 1:05:18 This is 1:05:20 This is hung. 1:05:23 [Music] 1:05:29 Yep. 1:05:31 Yeah. Their their site is uh it's bad. 1:05:35 It's just bad. It's bad. Bad bad bad 1:05:38 bad. Screen share, please. Oh, it 1:05:42 doesn't matter. 1:05:44 Silverf Fox. Uh 1:05:47 oh, wait. It It went through. 1:05:50 Okay. 1:05:52 Where am I? 1:05:56 Now this this site is is [ __ ] hosed. 1:06:00 Let me close the tab and create a new 1:06:02 one. 1:06:04 Sora, 1:06:06 [Music] 1:06:08 what I'm finding is I'm getting about 1:06:10 two prompts in before the site 1:06:12 completely crashes. 1:06:21 [Music] 1:06:25 Oh, the other thing you can do when 1:06:27 you're generating images on the web, you 1:06:30 can make them wide or tall. In the 1:06:32 bottom right hand corner, there's a 1:06:34 little orientation 1:06:35 doohickey. So, you can make them wide or 1:06:38 tall. If you're in the app, you can only 1:06:40 make them tall. I think AI roasting. Jim 1:06:45 Ross found a a Sora 2 invite code on 1:06:48 Reddit. He's in. Jim Ross, you're gonna 1:06:51 have a blast with this. 1:06:53 I also think you can use cameos with 1:06:57 uploaded images, Jim. So, you might even 1:06:59 be able to upload like a picture of your 1:07:01 storage facility or your sign or 1:07:02 something like that. 1:07:04 Um, did you have to upload photos to 1:07:07 make them so realistic? No. This is 1:07:10 what's [ __ ] crazy about Sora is once 1:07:13 you create that little cameo with honest 1:07:16 to God, it's like 15 seconds of video. 1:07:19 You say three numbers, you turn your 1:07:21 head a little bit and it's done. And it 1:07:24 samples your voice when you say the 1:07:26 numbers and it samples your head and 1:07:29 then it just kind of figures your body 1:07:30 out, I guess, from your torso. 1:07:33 Um, 1:07:36 it's crazy. It's It's bonkers. 1:07:42 And like the the one that I did that was 1:07:44 the um the '9s commercial. Let me see 1:07:47 where 1:07:52 uh where's my Tik Tok? Did I get rid of 1:07:53 my Tik Tok? 1:07:55 Where's my Tik Tok? 1:08:00 Um share this tab instead. 1:08:04 Let me go to Tik Tok. 1:08:07 Tik Tok. 1:08:09 The Gen X survivor toy. 1:08:17 Uh, 1:08:20 let's see. 1:08:25 View profile. This one. 1:08:29 Oh, wait. 1:08:32 Show this tab instead. 1:08:35 Like the prompt for this one is 1:08:42 uh 1:08:45 I don't remember what it was, but it was 1:08:47 like um 1:08:50 it it was just like '90s commercial 1:08:52 >> AI isn't the genius 1:08:52 >> of a toy people. 1:08:55 >> Check it out. 1:08:56 >> When the world gets extreme, only one 1:08:57 dude shrugs it off. 1:08:59 >> Survivor. 1:08:59 >> Fully poseable with real attitude voice 1:09:01 chip. 1:09:02 >> Whatever. Escape chiller hideout in the 1:09:03 coffee shop. 1:09:05 >> Check it out. 1:09:06 >> Like that's [ __ ] bonkers. 1:09:11 >> Mary Mary, seriously, I need storage. 1:09:16 Jr. was in Dallas. I need storage. Hey, 1:09:19 Jim Ross, you're you're you got 1:09:21 customers. You got customers in the 1:09:23 live, man. 1:09:28 But I mean, let's see. 1:09:30 >> The world gets extreme. Two 1:09:32 >> only one 1:09:33 >> shrugs it off. Four 1:09:37 >> five 1:09:38 >> with real attitude. 1:09:41 >> Seven chiller. 1:09:43 >> Eight. 1:09:43 >> Out in the coffee shop. 1:09:45 >> Nine. 10. 1:09:49 >> 10 different clips or 10 different shots 1:09:52 in that whatever it is. Seven, eight 1:09:54 second. What is it? 1:09:57 How long is it? When the world gets 1:10:00 extreme, only one dude shrugs it. 1:10:02 >> 10 seconds. So, I guess it's producing 1:10:04 10-second videos. 10 seconds. 10 shots 1:10:07 in 10 seconds 1:10:09 with a single prompt. 1:10:12 That was just like '9s toy commercial 1:10:16 of a toy called Gen X Survivor. That was 1:10:19 all I wrote. It did all of this. 1:10:22 >> Gen Survivor. 1:10:23 >> Fully poseable with real attitude voice 1:10:25 chip. 1:10:25 >> Whatever. Skate chiller hideout in the 1:10:27 coffee shop. Whatever. 1:10:34 >> Check it out. 1:10:34 >> When the world gets extreme, only one 1:10:36 dude shrugs it off. 1:10:37 >> Wait, let's go. Let's go look at the uh 1:10:39 let's look at the video. 1:10:41 >> Gets extreme. Only one dude in the world 1:10:42 gets extreme. Only one 1:10:46 gets 1:10:46 >> What are the toys here? 1:10:49 So, you got a cozy, a coffee cup. I 1:10:52 think that's a little boom box with 1:10:54 headphones. 1:10:56 Maybe a leather jacket. AI isn't the 1:10:57 genius. 1:11:00 >> That's just crazy. 1:11:15 All right, that's not working. 1:11:18 All right, let's go see how this site's 1:11:21 doing. 1:11:36 Clarity in, clarity out. 1:11:38 >> Wow. 1:11:40 How do I actually run OpenAI? Every day 1:11:43 feels like chaos. 1:11:44 >> Run it like a prompt. Clarity in, 1:11:46 clarity out. 1:11:47 >> Wow. 1:11:49 How do I actually run Open AI? Every day 1:11:52 feels like chaos. How do we guide 1:12:23 users through the rest? Let them feel 1:12:26 awe. 1:12:27 >> All right, that one was bad. 1:12:31 Let's see. Close this. Go here. Go here. 1:12:36 >> This place doesn't collapse. 1:12:38 >> Don't try to be the genius. Build the 1:12:41 10erson team with 1:12:47 >> Come on, 1:12:49 you can do it. 1:12:52 You can do it, little sight. 1:12:55 You could not crash. 1:13:00 >> Don't try to be the genius. Build the 1:13:02 10person team with chat GPT. 1:13:06 How do I make sure this place doesn't 1:13:08 collapse? 1:13:09 >> Don't try to be the genius. Build the 1:13:12 10person team with chat GPT. 1:13:15 >> I'm going to post that. 1:13:16 >> How do I make sure this place doesn't 1:13:17 collapse? 1:13:19 >> Don't try to Here's 1:13:24 another one. 1:13:25 >> This one's good. It's It's not quite 1:13:28 usable because of some typography stuff, 1:13:31 but I did a 70s style commercial of 1:13:34 Champ the singing dog and uploaded a 1:13:36 picture of Champy. 1:13:40 Someone please hook Tom up with a code. 1:13:43 I'm asking for help in the AI salon. 1:13:51 Could you make a video that is a perfect 1:13:53 loop? 1:13:55 Um, there are 1:14:00 there are some video tools I think that 1:14:02 have a looping functionality, Gareth, 1:14:05 but I don't know. 1:14:07 the the the way you can make a a perfect 1:14:10 loop, Gareth, if you want to is you use 1:14:14 a video tool that has first and last 1:14:17 frame. And so you put in the you put in 1:14:21 frame A and then frame B 1:14:25 and then you go in the in the next video 1:14:29 you go frame B to frame A and then you 1:14:32 stitch those two together and it would 1:14:34 cycle between the 1:14:37 it would drive between the two. And you 1:14:38 could do you could do A B CDE E F and 1:14:41 then and then go from like F back to A 1:14:44 and that would make a perfect loop as 1:14:46 well. 1:14:47 [Music] 1:14:49 All right. Here's the 70s Champ the 1:14:51 Singing Dog commercial. 1:14:55 Or it's not. Hang on. 1:14:59 Bad site. Site. This their site is so 1:15:03 bad. See, look. Bugs. 1:15:08 This is frustrating. 1:15:13 [Music] 1:15:15 Sora. sort of. And by the way, if you're 1:15:19 like all [ __ ] [ __ ] up because the 1:15:24 site sucks, it's been out for two days. 1:15:27 It'll be fine. They'll fix it. Secret. 1:15:32 How do I 1:15:38 >> When you squeeze his heart, he sings to 1:15:40 you. 1:15:42 >> Champ the singing dog. hugs songs and 1:15:45 >> beat Champ the singing dog. 1:15:48 >> When you squeeze his heart, he sings to 1:15:50 you. 1:15:52 >> Champ the singing dog hugs songs and 1:15:55 >> beat Champ the singing dog. 1:15:58 >> When you squeeze his heart, 1:16:03 >> that's pretty good. Let's see. I did 1:16:06 some muscle cars. Oh, the muscle cars 1:16:08 are 1:16:14 Because 1:16:23 the wheels actually roll correctly. Bye. 1:16:32 [Music] 1:16:36 Are you Jeff Flanigan? Are you sure 1:16:38 you're in Sora 2? 1:16:42 Are you in the Sora app on iOS? 1:16:45 And have you made did you record your 1:16:47 own Cameo video 1:16:59 because you've got to there's some 1:17:01 specific steps. I I have this sneaking 1:17:03 suspicion you might be on an Android app 1:17:05 in Sorro One. 1:17:10 Oh, yes, but I'm on desktop. Um, I don't 1:17:13 know if you can generate 1:17:17 settings. 1:17:19 Switch to old Sora. Why would you do 1:17:21 that? 1:17:24 Account, 1:17:28 parental controls, data controls. Yeah, 1:17:31 if you're on desktop, I don't think you 1:17:33 can generate 1:17:37 I think you have to generate the uh the 1:17:41 cameo on mobile. 1:17:44 I could be wrong, 1:17:47 but I think that's the case. 1:17:52 Edit. 1:17:54 Oh, edit Cameo. 1:17:57 You're all set. 1:18:07 66 64 999 1:18:11 66 6499 1:18:14 >> Yeah, that's the uh 1:18:15 >> 66 6499 1:18:19 66 6499. 1:18:22 >> Crazy, right? Like that's that's the 1:18:24 only thing you record for it to do that. 1:18:27 I have Android and using Sora on 1:18:30 desktop. I think that's what it is. 1:18:35 No muscles on that driver though. Yeah, 1:18:38 I know. The the other one I was really 1:18:40 fat. 1:18:42 >> Let's see. Is it this one? No, this one. 1:18:51 Yeah, this site's unusable. 1:18:58 Yeah, it just crashed. All right. 1:19:02 All right. Whatever. Yes, I think 1:19:04 creating the Cameo is in mobile only, 1:19:06 too. Once it's created, you can use it 1:19:08 on desktop. I think that's how it works. 1:19:12 Sam might want to go for a ride in that 1:19:14 car instead of bike petting. 1:19:21 Oh man, 1:19:24 you can do a cameo from desktop, 1:19:26 Danielle, but you have to create the 1:19:28 cameo file on mobile. 1:19:35 I appreciate you all supporting one 1:19:37 another to get codes. If we can get as 1:19:40 many people in the salon codes as 1:19:42 possible, if you have extra codes, if 1:19:43 someone gave you a code, you've got four 1:19:46 codes to give away. So, find someone in 1:19:50 the salon or just coordinate with 1:19:51 Danielle or just post it to a channel 1:19:54 and let other people get get some 1:19:56 action. 1:19:58 All right. 1:20:01 All righty, folks. All right. All right. 1:20:04 All right. All right. Uh, I'm a little 1:20:07 crispy. I had a very long day. I had a 1:20:09 very long day yesterday. Very long day 1:20:11 today. Um, that Sora site not being 1:20:15 usable combined with lovable not not 1:20:18 allowing me to have demo credits as an 1:20:21 ambassador for lovable got me a little 1:20:23 cranky. 1:20:25 Joy Pertie posted a code in a regulars. 1:20:27 Thank you, Joy Perie. The remedial 1:20:29 classmates help each other. Yes, code. 1:20:32 Jason, it sounds like Joy Perie just 1:20:34 posted something in irregulars. Run to 1:20:36 irregulars now. If you don't know where 1:20:38 Irs is, come back tomorrow and I'll tell 1:20:41 you all about the AI salon and the 1:20:43 Irregulars channel. Got to get yourself in a 1:21:20 community. All right? 1:21:22 We're never irreverent, just irregular. 1:21:25 But you are weird. 1:21:30 Okay, I'm going to get out of here. 1:21:32 Peace out. Hope you all had fun tonight. 1:21:35 I'll see you tomorrow. It's Thursday 1:21:36 night. Oh, tomorrow night. I think 1:21:38 producer Brandon's back tomorrow night. 1:21:40 I will be late because I've got a 1:21:42 Thunderview CEO dinner. I'm going to go 1:21:45 gallivant with CEOs because that's what 1:21:48 we do. If you've never been a CEO, 1:21:51 they have clubs and only CEOs can go and 1:21:54 I'm I'm in one of those clubs. 1:21:58 I know. I know. My life is remarkable. 1:22:02 I know. I know. 1:22:11 Bye.
