78. 18:55so here's here's what I find fascinating about this. Um, I take AI fairly seriously, right? I've been doing these lives every night for
79. 19:11two years. Um, and I take checking out the the video models pretty seriously because, you know, th those start to be a new
80. 19:26level of understanding of AI, AI understanding our world, right? Um, and Sora 2 is a really good video model, but I'm not using
81. 19:36anything other than this Cameo feature. And so, here's the there's a couple of things that are significant about the
82. 19:42Cameo feature. One is, as Danielle pointed out in the YouTube comments, when you um clone yourself, you basically just
83. 19:53hit record and it gives you three twodigit numbers. So you go like 66 9722 and then it says look to the left, look
84. 20:02to the right or look up, look down. It like tells you to look somewhere if it doesn't have the rest of your face. Um
85. 20:09and that's it. You're done. It processes for about a minute and then it basically puts your little head your your little circle icon
86. 20:19um in a row just just like Tik Tok does, right? you know, all your friends. You can tag your friends to send them videos
87. 20:26and [ __ ] like that. Except in this case, when you tag their little circle, it puts their name in in your prompt and
88. 20:33you can add you or your friends or your pet into any scene. And it's there are other video models that can do this. Except with those
89. 20:47video models, every time you want to put yourself in a scene, you have to upload a picture of yourself, go find it, put
90. 20:54it in there, wonder if it's going to be the right one because this one's serious and I want a funny scene.
91. 21:01All of that's gone. All of that. What what OpenAI did here is they turned this into a personal hyperpersonalized
92. 21:10meme generator that you could just send it whoever it was just said they want to do a work presentation with this.
93. 21:17Imagine doing a work presentation where all of your workers are like claymation babies in diapers, right? or or whatever
94. 21:26crazy, you know, crazy animated characters or, you know, you've got, you know, funny scenes between them. Um, I
95. 21:35think people are going to use the [ __ ] out of this thing and it's generating audio. It's generating dialogue. So, VO3 is no no longer the
96. 21:47the only one that can generate dialogue. Um, it it claimed somewhere that it could do 16 seconds. I haven't gotten it
97. 21:55to be able to do more than seven or eight. Um, usability and experience is the key with this. Yeah. And and what's going to happen is so I
98. 22:04think what they're doing right now is you can only get access to Sora 2 with an invite code, but every time you get
99. 22:11an invite code, you're given four more. So, what we're trying to do, so if you're an AI salon member and you get an
100. 22:18invite code, go to the AI salon and share your invite code there. What we're trying to do is get as many people as
101. 22:24possible invite codes. I know uh Danielle did that. So, coordinate with Danielle if you don't know where to post. Um,
102. 22:35but this is this is a big deal because this is this is sort of the uh this is this is the crack business model, right?
103. 22:42you know, you you give away the video generation that's super fun for free to lots of people. Get them used to
104. 22:51generating AI video. It's funny, Kyle Balmer, who's a he's a Tik Tocker that talks about AI stuff a lot. And two days
105. 22:58ago, he put out a video that said, so OpenAI released an AI slop app. Um, and uh, today he posted a an apology.
106. 23:13He goes, "It's not AI slot. It's it's a really interesting social experiment. It's a really piece of inter
107. 23:21really piece of an interesting piece of social software. Um, because you're going to be able to do all this stuff
108. 23:29with your friends and people are going to do it and they're not going to think of it as AI generated. They're just
109. 23:34going to be like, "Did you see that stupid video I sent of you? You were juggling pig knuckles." And this is how they indoctrinate us.
110. 23:47They let us make dancing baby videos of our friends. My sora disappeared. Well, it's so far tonight it's been
111. 23:57really buggy. Genie, was it Genie? Yeah. Um, they also updated the app. So, what you might want to do, Genie, is update
112. 24:05the app in the App Store. Right now, I think it's iOS only, but you can also do it on the web. Um, and it's invite only.
113. 24:15And I I wish the site were a little more stable or we'd go make some videos. Um, but it's it's quite simple to put
114. 24:23in, you know, to put in another yourself or another person in a scene. You just at their name and there it is.

171. 36:32and there were a couple of things that were bad about it, but I fixed them all after we uh after we uh got back
172. 36:41together. So, what you do here is I'm at lovable.dev and if you've never vibecoded before, if you've never created a an application
173. 36:53without having to know any code, you can. Now what Lovable has done is they have built um all right let me let me give you a
174. 37:04little bit of a little bit of background about when you do software development there are four or five major components
175. 37:14that you need to account for there's the app itself right so the Tik Tok app u eBay Salesforce whatever the app is that you want to create
176. 37:26and then there are some components that are needed for that thing to work. One of them is authentication. You know how
177. 37:33you log in? That's like a big deal to set up. It's a pain in the ass. The second one is a database. You need to
178. 37:39set up a database. With a database schema and a and a database you're paying per record or per megabyte, gigabyte, whatever the hell you're
179. 37:48however they work. You need a web server, right? the the thing needs to be able to be viewed by the world. Um, and
180. 37:55then the final thing is well, you need security and and privacy and like correct settings so that you don't get
181. 38:03hacked. And then you need commerce plus your app. Um, and there's probably some other things in there, but those are the biggies.
182. 38:12Setting up a database and a backend and a web server and authentication and security and privacy are all a pain in
183. 38:19the balls. They're just they're just awful. If you're a developer, this is your life. This is what you've chosen to do.
184. 38:27But if you're not a developer, if you're just like, I got an idea for an app and now you have to go learn those five
185. 38:34disciplines. One, you're going to suck suck at it. Two, it's going to be miserable. And three, you're going to
186. 38:39you're probably not going to finish it. You're going to set it up wrong. You're going to [ __ ] it up. um all of the vibe coding apps with a
187. 38:49couple of exceptions for the most part you've had to manage all of those things in some form or other. Um Lovable was
188. 38:58the first one that tried to make it easy. But what the the new version of Lovable that's 3 days old now has the database, the user
189. 39:07authentication, all the all that base setup stuff is built in now. It's not separate components. So you can
190. 39:14literally Oh, the and the other thing they added is lovable AI. So you can add AI components to your app. And so in my
191. 39:22case, um they've got Nano Banana and they've got Gemini and I don't know if they have other stuff, but you can use
192. 39:30you can make yourself an AI app just by describing it. Maybe we'll go do something else here in a bit, but I'll

201. 40:52a tall one. And then we're going to say generate selfie. And then it's going to think it's going to do its thing. [Music]
