9:18 p.m. Mountain Time, so 9:30 Eastern,
9:21 6:30 Pacific.
9:24 Um we go for 90 minutes. Monday is kind
9:27 of big news item to talk about.
9:30 Wednesday is we're going to play with
9:31 something.
9:32 Figure out what we're going to play with
9:34 and
9:35 make stuff.
9:36 And then Friday's an AMA.
9:39 And we're going to do that uh for for a
9:41 while, for a couple of weeks, couple of
9:42 months, who knows.
9:45 When I started this channel, I just said
9:48 my only thing I know is I'm going to go
9:49 live seven nights a week for a year, and
9:52 I did that.
9:54 And then I went seven
9:56 uh five nights a week for two and a half
9:58 years.
10:00 And now we're down to three nights a
10:02 week, but in a much more focused way.
10:04 We're inside the AI Salon. So, really

12:29 basically training AI models how to
12:31 replace them.

13:09 couple of more announcements from OpenAI
13:10 this week. These two announcements today

13:40 a new video model from Google from
13:43 Gemini coming out.

13:47 >> Um next week I think is their developer
13:49 conference Google IO. I think that's
13:51 next week.
13:52 Um so it makes sense that open AI would
13:54 drop a bunch of stuff this week to
13:56 preempt Google which is going to drop a
13:58 bunch of stuff next week.
14:00 Um hopefully Google's getting better at
14:02 this thing where they don't just
14:03 announce a bunch of [ __ ] and then never
14:04 launch it. I hopefully they're going to
14:06 you know announce stuff that we can
14:07 play. I need to come up for air. It's
14:10 all happening so fast these days.

14:25 Even though things are accelerating, I
14:27 think the actual power play right now
14:30 is to slow down.
14:33 As humans.

14:36 There's I I talked about a book called
14:39 Turning Pro and and in the book he talks
14:41 about
14:43 addictive behavior that you're either a
14:45 an amateur or a pro. You're either an
14:47 artist or an addict.
14:50 And if you're an addict, you can be an
14:52 addict to a bunch of things. You can be
14:53 an addict to you know substances or sex
14:57 or whatever, but you can also be an
14:58 addict to productivity or doing work or
15:01 working out or whatever, right? You can
15:03 you can be addicted to lots of things
15:05 and what he talks about in the book is
15:07 that
15:08 that when you're in an in an addictive
15:10 mode, you get addicted to the point of
15:12 incapacitation.
15:14 I feel like AI right now is making
15:17 people productive to the point of
15:19 incapacitation.
15:21 That just because you can execute 10
15:25 things simultaneously
15:29 you you can't actually process the 10
15:31 things simultaneously. So, you end up
15:33 producing all this [ __ ] that you can't
15:35 even deal with. Not dealing.
15:37 I mean creating. Yeah.
15:40 Let's see. I agree. I've turned back
15:43 back to dealing by hand. Yeah, exactly.
15:45 I think the power play right now is to
15:48 find places to insert friction into the
15:50 process. Because AI is a friction-free
15:53 environment.
15:55 And I think we as humans
15:57 need a little We need time to process.
16:00 And it's it's not a bug.
16:02 I think that's one of the things that
16:04 I the trap that I fell into was more
16:07 faster, more faster, do more better,
16:09 more better, more better, more better.
