5:23 friends and family how about when
5:24 they're talking to pie the whole

5:53 there's some fear and there's curiosity
5:56 and if you can disarm this stuff what
6:00 what I think everyone in here is
6:02 discovering with AI is that it is
6:05 significantly more
6:07 empowering um than it feels on the
6:13 surface the there was a a really good
6:15 source Camp from in here Kelly Camp um
6:20 posted on LinkedIn today a beautifully
6:22 written piece about how she's
6:25 rediscovering her her inner creativity
6:28 child this freedom of creativity Thank
6:30 You Be not Afraid thank you very much I
6:32 appreciate that and she she's
6:34 rediscovering it because of AI because
6:36 it's you know it can it can give her a
6:39 leg up on some of the skills stuff that
6:41 she might not have had but it's allowing
6:42 her to self-express in ways she couldn't
6:45 have imagined and it was just just
6:47 really beautifully written and that
6:50 that's that seems to be a consistent
6:52 experience is that when you get into AI
6:56 it's less scary than you think it is
6:58 it's more empowering than you think
6:59 think it is I my response to Kelly's
7:03 post today was
7:05 I when I first learned about AI where I
7:08 immediately
7:10 went is that oh this is going to be
7:12 great for efficiency and productivity
7:15 and I went to automations and zappier
7:17 and I did all that sort of [ __ ] and what
7:19 I've learned is that it is so much more
7:21 profound than that Cosmic lover I'm at
7:24 the movies and sneaking in my my ear the
7:27 AI learning lab I was using voice on my
7:31 phone and she was curious to know why
7:33 all the different
7:36 voices what all the different voices
7:38 meant that's really awesome
7:43 cam do you have multiple personality
7:45 disorder you're just happy to see me oh
7:48 no it's
7:49 pie that's

8:05 Christmas dinner so during dessert I EXO

8:12 turkey consumption and as they got all
8:14 trip toed out then you hit them with
8:16 here's why it's good that's awesome did
8:19 you get anyone to the other side lunar

14:05 started a week after GPT came out a year
14:07 ago we just celebrated our oneye
14:10 anniversary and we are sponsoring along
14:14 with Ann Murphy from empowered
14:18 fundraising we are sponsoring a
14:23 24-hour what we're calling the GPT for
14:26 good
14:27 challenge so this is this coming
14:30 Saturday hopefully hopefully I'm feeling
14:32 a bit
14:34 better because we're doing 24 hours and
14:38 and it's it's uh it's it's a really cool
14:41 format so every 3 hours it's either
14:44 going to be an or I me here and her on
14:48 Zoom teaching people how to build
14:51 gpts and we particularly want people to
14:54 build gpts for nonprofits and then share
14:57 them and share them with the hash GPT
15:00 for good our goal is to build 100 gpts
15:04 for good for

16:33 that Isn't that cool um so it should be
16:36 a lot of fun so we're going to teach
16:39 you uh about chat GPT about what gpts
16:43 are and then how to build one and you'll
16:45 build one with this this is like a
16:47 Hands-On it's not like you got to go do
16:49 something you you know they they have
16:51 these things called hackathons and those
16:53 essentially require that you be a geek
16:56 this GPT thing is so easy that you don't
16:59 need to be a geek all right so here's
17:01 the other deal if you already know how
17:03 to use chat GPT if you've already made
17:06 50 gpts like lunatick has I still want
17:09 you to come to this thing because you
17:11 can support people that have questions
17:13 I'm only going to be so coherent and and
17:16 will only have the ability to answer
17:17 certain questions so it's it's my real
17:20 hope that that you can support people
17:22 that way the other thing is this if you
17:26 go to the AI Salon to get the
17:27 information about the PT challenge check
17:30 out the salon so it's free it doesn't
17:32 cost you anything um we we support it
17:36 basically with the merch store and if
17:37 someone wants to sponsor a month that's
17:39 that's basically how it works so it's
17:40 free for free for people and so go to
17:44 the about the salon and it it talks
17:45 about who we are and basically this is
17:48 like a support group for people that are
17:50 curious about AI okay and it it is it's
17:54 a remarkable community and it's
17:56 remarkable because the people in here
17:58 have particular values that if you
18:00 resonate with them these are your people
18:03 right if you've got curiosity if you're
18:05 generous like if you're willing to share
18:07 what you're learning even though you're
18:08 like but I don't really know anything

18:12 that's an amazing thing and everyone in
18:14 here is doing that right now it's it's
18:17 it's amazing um exploration is one of
18:21 our values collaboration is one of our
18:22 values like get in here and team up with
18:25 someone and build something inclusion
18:27 people are coming from all over right
18:29 it's it's not just you know
18:32 creative uh industries that are getting
18:35 impacted by this it's everyone and so
18:38 people are coming from all over there's
18:39 there's a lot of folks in here that have
18:41 effectively retired that are like [ __ ]
18:43 it I'm like having fun I'm going to go
18:45 do this and then the the last value we
18:47 have is
18:48 empathy because people are afraid right
18:51 if if you've been talking to your family
18:53 and people are pissed off or scared
18:55 that's what's going on there they're
18:57 scared they don't want to be displaced
18:59 they don't know about this so so have
19:02 that empathy and disarm this stuff for
19:04 them and then and then the other thing I
19:07 would request is if you join the salon
19:09 the first thing you should do go to the
19:10 community section and there's a little
19:12 section called introduce yourself go
19:15 there and introduce
19:16 yourself be generous but Kyle it's scary
19:20 to introduce myself what if everybody
19:23 judges me that's the Human
19:25 Condition suck it up buttercup introduce
19:28 yourself
19:29 be generous it's not about you it's
19:33 about everyone else and so if you if you
19:36 let them know who you are and what
19:37 you're up to and hey I'm just getting
19:38 started or hey I've been in this for 30

27:51 that you take the full power of gp4 chat
27:54 GPT 4 which is this multimodal Beast
27:58 which if you're new to this stuff
27:59 doesn't mean anything it just means it
28:01 can do a lot it can see it can make
28:03 pictures it can hear it can talk it just
28:07 does a lot it can do data analysis it
28:10 can do really
28:11 crazy you know writing and document
28:14 analysis and coding and all sorts of
28:17 things so you take the power of that and
28:20 then you can customize it for your thing
28:23 oh and then this question from John Hess
28:25 where do we share gpts so
28:29 be patient right now it's a pain in the
28:33 ass there are some directories out there
28:37 lunatic and a couple of the Irregulars
28:39 have shared on there's one out of
28:41 Indonesia I forget what it's called um
28:43 but there's a directory out there we're
28:45 putting together a directory for the GPT
28:47 good for good you can find gpts on
28:51 Google with a very specific search which
28:54 I'll show you right
28:56 now
28:58 um but the GPT store from open AI is
29:03 coming so that's going to be like the
29:05 Apple App Store so while you could have
29:07 a directory of iPhone apps um you
29:13 wouldn't want to compete with the Apple
29:15 store that's kind of how I feel about
29:17 the open AI store that all of these
29:20 directories are not going to be
29:21 necessary once they open their store but
29:23 we'll see I I don't quite know how it
29:24 works Joy pie I want to get people's
29:27 opinion on the nonprofit day and see if
29:30 it's a good idea
29:33 GPT um yeah you can absolutely do that I
29:36 you know what I would encourage you to
29:38 do is is bring the people along here

29:44 GPT you don't have to share it publicly
29:47 you can let it be private you can share
29:50 it only with people who have a link or
29:52 you can share it publicly and um but I
29:57 think it's important for people to
29:59 understand what they are and what they
30:01 make possible because it's remarkable

31:08 nonprofit's going to have an about us
31:11 page and they are very likely going to
31:13 have a donate page and so with those two
31:17 pieces of information we've got
31:19 everything we need for a
31:22 GPT um and so so in that case I'm using
31:27 the fact that chat gp4 is connected to
31:29 the internet as the knowledge base for
31:32 the
31:33 GPT um if a nonprofit or if any company
31:37 or if you personally have a PDF or a
31:40 text file of data you can just upload

33:25 marketing PDF it could be in this case a
33:29 screenplay any data can be uploaded as
33:32 the knowledge base and then look what
33:33 this thing does it generates a
33:37 storyboard a frame from the film that
33:40 never got
33:43 made I mean isn't that
33:45 remarkable and so that's what these gpts
33:48 are if you haven't seen

36:17 whatever this new concoction is and then
36:19 give me the recipe for
36:22 it slick
36:24 right so you can share these things
36:27 on
36:30 um directories out there that are made
36:33 for them but you can also just wait for
36:36 oh that's
36:36 beautiful the Vegas pink
36:39 Margarita tequila lime juice prickly
36:42 pear syrup for that vibrant pink UE
36:44 that's great triple SE ice cubes salt
36:48 for riing the glass lime wedge and an
36:51 edible flow so so this Sin City sipper
36:54 is a it takes classic drinks puts a
36:57 Vagas Twist on them that's very
37:00 vegacy look how beautiful that is you
37:02 can put that right in a drink menu could
37:06 you can your creative GPT chat box me
37:10 embedded in a personal website um not
37:14 quite
37:15 yet what you can do is you can just take
37:19 um like a screenshot of the logo or
37:23 whatever make an image for it and then
37:25 put that image on your webs that links
37:27 to the
37:29 GPT I have I have a suspicion this is
37:32 purely speculation I have a suspicion
37:35 that when the chat GPT store comes out
37:38 there will be ways to embed these things
37:40 in your website and embed codes
37:44 and um you may not even need to have
37:49 um chat GPT 4 to run them but that one
37:53 that one I'm iffy on I have a feeling
37:56 they're going to keep
37:57 people wanting to pay for them do you
37:59 have to pay for chat GPT you do unbrace
38:02 sun but um so on
38:06 Saturday when we do the GPT for good
38:09 what I'm also going to show is how you
38:11 can do the exact same thing with po you
38:13 can make a PO um GPT bot um so you can
38:18 effectively create the same thing
38:20 without having to have a
38:21 subscription
38:24 um but I don't we don't quite know these
38:27 things are going to live uh once the GPT
38:29 store comes out so uh and and making
38:33 gpts is so easy that um it's it's much
38:37 easier than making them on PO CU po you
38:39 still have to do a little configuration
38:41 on chat GPT you don't I have several
38:43 gpts on my website page of course one
38:46 must have GPT for Access yeah I know

43:54 URL there is a a hang
44:00 on there's a section called Salon
44:05 streams and meetings and in that there's
44:07 the GPT for good
44:11 event and then that tell that gives you
44:13 all the info and it gives you links
44:17 to Ann's Zoom meeting and my Tik
44:21 Tok and so we're just going to be doing
44:24 this
44:24 alternating tutorial on how to do gpts
44:27 for 24 hours and then we want to get
44:29 people to share them and share them with
44:32 this hashtag and our goal is to build
44:36 and share 100 gpts for nonprofits Isn't
44:39 that cool isn't that fun and this was
44:42 this came up last Thursday someone just
44:45 said Kyle you should do some 24-hour
44:47 thing and I'm like that was stupid I'm
44:48 never doing that again and then then I
44:51 had this idea I was like wait a minute
44:53 what if we did it for nonprofits it's
44:55 kind of like a hackathon except we're
44:58 using chat gpt's incredible ease of
45:02 use um where you don't have to be a
45:05 technologist you don't need to be a
45:07 hacker hang on to

47:32 that and and this is it there's two
47:35 panes there's the create pan and then
47:37 there's the preview pane as you create
47:40 it it just instantly builds it for you
47:43 and so it can be anything now I got to
47:46 come up with with [ __ ] covid brain I
47:49 got to come up with some clever idea
47:51 let's
47:53 see I've got a stupid one
47:59 no that's too stupid um let's
48:06 see I got
48:14 one I'd like to create a
48:19 GPT that asks
48:22 someone about the kind of furniture they
48:25 like
48:28 and the
48:30 era that that furniture came
48:34 from and once you have enough
48:38 information you design them a piece of
48:41 custom
48:45 furniture okay so the the talking that I
48:48 just did there that's not part of chat
48:50 GPT I'm just using the Mac um
48:52 accessibility thing with the microphone
48:54 I forget what it's called but it's you
48:56 hit the microphone button you can talk
48:58 instead of type um so I could have just
49:01 typed that but like that's all you have
49:04 to do like I'm going to hit return here
49:07 and it's going to updating GPT so it
49:09 right now is building us a GPT and
49:11 you'll see over here on the
49:15 right once it Updates this thing it'll

51:45 could get their sweaty little paws

51:50 um that is futuristic it's got some sort
51:53 of weird ass chair thing going on like
51:56 leg thing going on on the on the bottom

54:28 configure where I've got the icon the
54:32 name of the GPT the description The
54:35 Prompt the the base of the prompt uh and
54:38 then what those starter questions are
54:41 now I've also got this thing down here
54:43 called knowledge where I can upload
54:45 files so let's say that I had a I had
54:47 written a book on Furniture Design or or
54:52 you know historical Furniture Design or
54:54 you find an old open Open Source book on
54:57 Furniture Design you can upload anything
55:00 you want into the knowledge base and
55:02 then this GPT can access that knowledge
55:05 as its knowledge base this is the thing
55:07 that makes it really powerful the other
55:09 thing that you can do is you can turn on
55:12 web browsing and um Dolly image
55:14 generation and this thing called code
55:16 interpreter which is data analysis you
55:18 can even hook it up to API these gpts
55:21 can get very very sophisticated but the
55:24 fact that you can just talk it into
55:26 existence with the with the use of chat
55:28 gpp as the interface makes it really
55:31 really powerful okay so now we have this
55:34 thing that we're decently happy with I
55:35 didn't tweak it at all but whatever when
55:38 I say save you can save it for only you
55:41 for anyone with the link like if you
55:42 just want to share this internally
55:44 within your nonprofit or if you want to
55:45 share it publicly if you share it
55:49 publicly the little note here says this
55:51 GPT may appear in the GPT store so right
55:54 now today today because there's no GPT
55:57 store sharing it with anyone with the
56:00 link and public are effectively the same
56:04 thing but if you say public then when
56:07 the GPT store comes there's a chance
56:09 that your gpts will be listed on the GPT
56:12 store and what Sam Alman said is the
56:15 most popular of these gpts are going to
56:18 go into some sort of rev sharing thing
56:20 so you can make money with J you could
56:24 actually make money with ch
56:26 uh if you if you create a popular GPT

59:43 action to say go to the Donate
59:46 page and so you can build calls to
59:49 action into these things so you can make
59:51 a really fun thing that people like to
59:52 play with and then at some point in
59:55 there do like a little ad for your
59:57 business so maybe you're a bakery we one

1:00:02 think I think Sherry D put together a
1:00:04 GPT of sugar cookies like iced sugar
1:00:07 cookies or I don't know who who it was
1:00:10 that did
1:00:11 it I know I forget who it was but anyway

1:00:17 if you're a baker and you gave out this
1:00:19 thing for people to make sugar
1:00:21 cookies um really cool designs and then

1:00:28 designs made contact the bakery so so
1:00:32 these things can be incredibly powerful

1:00:37 would serve as a style guide for do

1:01:42 PDF so yes now if you want it to act
1:01:47 more like a predictable application you
1:01:50 may need to build an application like in
1:01:53 something like zappier with their
1:01:54 interace faces

1:02:00 want to prototype something really
1:02:02 quickly yeah you can have it output
1:02:04 PDFs on some of my gpts I have a prompt
1:02:07 that says to add a call to action to
