26. 4:32experiences did you have over the holidays with AI and people thinking you're a weirdo ah yeah my eyes my eyes are not
27. 4:48looking they are not looking healthy um I shared pie with my Uber driver and she was amazed she downloaded it right away
28. 5:00it's one Uber driver at a time every Uber driver has a family that's awesome that's awesome how'd you bring that
29. 5:12up hey do you have do you have a virtual companion yet for when you're born in your car if you think Uber drivers are
30. 5:21obnoxious now when they call their friends and family how about when they're talking to pie the whole trip that's pretty good I like it
31. 5:32oh man I enthralled Andor alienated 12 friends and family at the winter solstice party frumple that is perfect that is
32. 5:42perfect and and here's what I know the ones who you alienated they'll be back right they're just scared everyone's
33. 5:50scared there's there's some anger there's some fear and there's curiosity and if you can disarm this stuff what
34. 6:00what I think everyone in here is discovering with AI is that it is significantly more empowering um than it feels on the
35. 6:12surface the there was a a really good source Camp from in here Kelly Camp um posted on LinkedIn today a beautifully
36. 6:22written piece about how she's rediscovering her her inner creativity child this freedom of creativity Thank
37. 6:30You Be not Afraid thank you very much I appreciate that and she she's rediscovering it because of AI because
38. 6:36it's you know it can it can give her a leg up on some of the skills stuff that she might not have had but it's allowing
39. 6:42her to self-express in ways she couldn't have imagined and it was just just really beautifully written and that
40. 6:50that's that seems to be a consistent experience is that when you get into AI it's less scary than you think it is
41. 6:58it's more empowering than you think think it is I my response to Kelly's post today was I when I first learned about AI where I immediately
42. 7:10went is that oh this is going to be great for efficiency and productivity and I went to automations and zappier
43. 7:16and I did all that sort of [ __ ] and what I've learned is that it is so much more profound than that Cosmic lover I'm at
44. 7:24the movies and sneaking in my my ear the AI learning lab I was using voice on my phone and she was curious to know why all the different
45. 7:35voices what all the different voices meant that's really awesome cam do you have multiple personality
46. 7:45disorder you're just happy to see me oh no it's pie that's [Laughter] awesome oh man
47. 8:01and there was a lot of anti- AI talk at Christmas dinner so during dessert I EXO its virtues oh you let you let them get
48. 8:09it get it out during the uh during the turkey consumption and as they got all trip toed out then you hit them with
49. 8:16here's why it's good that's awesome did you get anyone to the other side lunar stick that's that's really [Laughter]
50. 8:24funny it's so so here's here's a curious here's a question for those of you that that that dared to talk about it in the
51. 8:33family gatherings when there was resistance did any of the people who were anti-a AI had any of them actually used it I I am
52. 8:46assuming where's your [ __ ] mask I know Joker it's that's it's right there it's on my Funko Pop it's well you know what funny so
53. 8:57we've been isolating in the house right but I was the fourth one to test positive so once I tested positive
54. 9:04they're all walking around with their mask going you got to keep isolating them like why we're all positive like there's
55. 9:11no there's no there's no uh there's no need at this point we have successfully completed the cycle lunter stick my
56. 9:21in-laws don't understand it but they see how alive I become with it interesting I'm normally pretty quiet yeah fascinating yeah cuz it's
57. 9:32uh it like like once you once you sort of once you sort of get the it's the red pill thing once you kind of see what the
58. 9:42what the world can be like what the world's going to be like it's hard not to talk about it's hard not to get excited

60. 10:00was like it feels like it's unlocked a bunch of things for you and that's that's what Kelly said today in that LinkedIn
61. 10:07post yeah it's my Funko Pop has the the the Johnny Cupcakes Sugar Skull the the pasy skull shirt on isn't that the
62. 10:20best I forget who made somebody made somebody made a GPT the the Funko Pop GPT so you can just make a GPT of anyone you want it's not

83. 14:04started a week after GPT came out a year ago we just celebrated our oneye anniversary and we are sponsoring along
84. 14:13with Ann Murphy from empowered fundraising we are sponsoring a 24-hour what we're calling the GPT for good challenge so this is this coming
85. 14:29Saturday hopefully hopefully I'm feeling a bit better because we're doing 24 hours and and it's it's uh it's it's a really cool
86. 14:41format so every 3 hours it's either going to be an or I me here and her on Zoom teaching people how to build
87. 14:51gpts and we particularly want people to build gpts for nonprofits and then share them and share them with the hash GPT
88. 14:59for good our goal is to build 100 gpts for good for nonprofits are you Belgian you're speaking Flemish that's good Ted thank
89. 15:11you Ted's always here for a solid troll I like it um so um so how do you find it if you go to the salon. there's a link tree there
90. 15:24there's actually two links one is just the generic link to the AI salon the second one is the specific link to the
91. 15:31details about Saturday what we're doing Saturday so we're starting at 6:00 in the morning Pacific time and then every
92. 15:39three hours for 24 hours we're going to teach people how to make gpts so my request is that and let me let me flip over to the AI
93. 15:47salon and if you go to salon streams and meetings there's an event here called the GPT for good event and here are the details so we
94. 16:00start Saturday the 30th and we go until the we hours of the morning on Sunday so if you're in another part of the world there's no
95. 16:11[ __ ] excuse for you not to come to this thing and make a cool GPT for nonprofits all right so 6: a.m. Pacific it's an on Zoom
96. 16:249:00 a.m. it's me on Tik Tok noon it's her on Zoom 3 p.m. it's me on Tik Tok and it goes on like that Isn't that cool um so it should be
97. 16:36a lot of fun so we're going to teach you uh about chat GPT about what gpts are and then how to build one and you'll
98. 16:45build one with this this is like a Hands-On it's not like you got to go do something you you know they they have
99. 16:51these things called hackathons and those essentially require that you be a geek this GPT thing is so easy that you don't
100. 16:58need to be a geek all right so here's the other deal if you already know how to use chat GPT if you've already made
101. 17:0550 gpts like lunatick has I still want you to come to this thing because you can support people that have questions
102. 17:12I'm only going to be so coherent and and will only have the ability to answer certain questions so it's it's my real
103. 17:19hope that that you can support people that way the other thing is this if you go to the AI Salon to get the
104. 17:27information about the PT challenge check out the salon so it's free it doesn't cost you anything um we we support it
105. 17:35basically with the merch store and if someone wants to sponsor a month that's that's basically how it works so it's

107. 17:47like a support group for people that are curious about AI okay and it it is it's a remarkable community and it's
108. 17:55remarkable because the people in here have particular values that if you resonate with them these are your people
109. 18:02right if you've got curiosity if you're generous like if you're willing to share what you're learning even though you're
110. 18:07like but I don't really know anything Kyle but if you're willing to share that that's an amazing thing and everyone in
111. 18:14here is doing that right now it's it's it's amazing um exploration is one of our values collaboration is one of our
112. 18:22values like get in here and team up with someone and build something inclusion people are coming from all over right
113. 18:29it's it's not just you know creative uh industries that are getting impacted by this it's everyone and so
114. 18:37people are coming from all over there's there's a lot of folks in here that have effectively retired that are like [ __ ]
115. 18:43it I'm like having fun I'm going to go do this and then the the last value we have is empathy because people are afraid right
116. 18:50if if you've been talking to your family and people are pissed off or scared that's what's going on there they're
117. 18:56scared they don't want to be displaced they don't know about this so so have that empathy and disarm this stuff for
118. 19:04them and then and then the other thing I would request is if you join the salon the first thing you should do go to the
119. 19:10community section and there's a little section called introduce yourself go there and introduce yourself be generous but Kyle it's scary
120. 19:20to introduce myself what if everybody judges me that's the Human Condition suck it up buttercup introduce yourself
121. 19:28be generous it's not about you it's about everyone else and so if you if you let them know who you are and what
122. 19:36you're up to and hey I'm just getting started or hey I've been in this for 30 years or hey you know I'm pretty sure that my profession
123. 19:46is going to be obliterated by this thing what do I do let us know that there's all sorts of amazing people in here
124. 19:52that'll support you and then there's water cooler discussions there's a showand tell channel so these lives have
125. 19:59become oh that's really sweet Claire thank you I've got a lot of a lot of get well things in here cuz I'm feeling sickly
126. 20:07um but the show and tell channels become like this kind of jam here we go this this kind of jam where as as I'm kind of making jokes and
127. 20:20making fun of things people are in here generating images and sharing them there's Silver Fox when she was a brown fox that's pretty funny

133. 21:21for people that want to geek out on how this [ __ ] actually works there's a healthcare Guild there's a video Guild and we are just now

142. 22:44whole point here is that you shouldn't be afraid of it and and the gpts we're going to make are going to be these
143. 22:50amazing little resource tools that will teach people about the nonprofit teach people about the cause that it's up to
144. 22:57and then then do a call to action for people to donate Isn't that cool I think that's cool I think that's bitching that's what

166. 27:42things that's remarkable that open AI did in in putting these gpts together is that you take the full power of gp4 chat
167. 27:54GPT 4 which is this multimodal Beast which if you're new to this stuff doesn't mean anything it just means it
168. 28:01can do a lot it can see it can make pictures it can hear it can talk it just does a lot it can do data analysis it can do really
169. 28:11crazy you know writing and document analysis and coding and all sorts of things so you take the power of that and
170. 28:19then you can customize it for your thing oh and then this question from John Hess where do we share gpts so
171. 28:28be patient right now it's a pain in the ass there are some directories out there lunatic and a couple of the Irregulars
172. 28:39have shared on there's one out of Indonesia I forget what it's called um but there's a directory out there we're
173. 28:44putting together a directory for the GPT good for good you can find gpts on Google with a very specific search which I'll show you right now
174. 28:58um but the GPT store from open AI is coming so that's going to be like the Apple App Store so while you could have
175. 29:07a directory of iPhone apps um you wouldn't want to compete with the Apple store that's kind of how I feel about
176. 29:16the open AI store that all of these directories are not going to be necessary once they open their store but
177. 29:22we'll see I I don't quite know how it works Joy pie I want to get people's opinion on the nonprofit day and see if it's a good idea
178. 29:32GPT um yeah you can absolutely do that I you know what I would encourage you to do is is bring the people along here
179. 29:39here's the deal with the gpts you can build the GPT you don't have to share it publicly you can let it be private you can share
180. 29:49it only with people who have a link or you can share it publicly and um but I think it's important for people to
181. 29:58understand what they are and what they make possible because it's remarkable where can we find PDFs for the
182. 30:07gpts I don't know what you mean digital Danny what do you mean where can we find PDFs for the gpts clarify your question I think I
183. 30:15might know what you mean but I don't oh the missing person's
184. 30:30one well I don't know that that's not responsible you're trying to help find people I don't know possibly I mean listen we're
185. 30:40all going to have to figure out we're all going to have to figure out the boundaries of of what's good what's bad
186. 30:45what's you know what's relevant I I think you you build the stuff and you put it out there and you test
187. 30:52it oh oh where do you get the the PDFs to Fe feed the gpts well you can get them anywhere so so what what I'm planning on doing um
188. 31:05for the for the challenge is every nonprofit's going to have an about us page and they are very likely going to
189. 31:13have a donate page and so with those two pieces of information we've got everything we need for a GPT um and so so in that case I'm using
190. 31:26the fact that chat gp4 is connected to the internet as the knowledge base for the GPT um if a nonprofit or if any company
191. 31:36or if you personally have a PDF or a text file of data you can just upload those so let me here let me show you a GPT I
192. 31:47made this is not a nonprofit thing well actually it is a nonprofit thing it's for a screenplay I never sold so it's very
193. 31:55nonprofit it's just not tax [Laughter] deductible
194. 32:18okay so this GPT that I made is the salmon flying East screenplay decoder and so let's see um what happens in the first scene of
195. 32:32the movie of the screenplay so SE says searching my knowledge so it's now reading my screenplay which is amazing to me it
196. 32:43still blows my mind the first scene of salmon flying East is set in the pre-dawn hours of Gig Harbor Washington in
197. 32:501991 the atmosphere is described as foggy with the Northwest air hanging over the glassy Waters of the Puget
198. 32:57Sound which is exactly how I remember writing that a white fishing boat with a blue stripe is mored in the creaking
199. 33:04slip suggesting a quiet and Serene environment inside the boat's cabin we meet the main character Jack he is a weathered and right so so
200. 33:14this thing read my screenplay and pulled that out so in this case I'm so any data it could be a CSV file it could be a
201. 33:24marketing PDF it could be in this case a screenplay any data can be uploaded as the knowledge base and then look what
202. 33:33this thing does it generates a storyboard a frame from the film that never got made I mean isn't that
203. 33:45remarkable and so that's what these gpts are if you haven't seen them they are Standalone person personalized
204. 33:59customized applications that Leverage What chat GPT is and so this one is one it's literally for you to understand a screenplay that
205. 34:10I wrote and you can go find this if you go to the AI Salon you can actually go play with this um let me show you how to find gpts
206. 34:19on Google so if we go to google.com where am I here there's Claude go to Google let me go to the goog so if you're you're at Google get
207. 34:33pay attention to this one because the the um the uh whatever this is called the uh my brain's not working how you write the
208. 34:44URL is very very specific but if you write site sit colon slash it's this thing right here site slash
209. 34:58chat. open.com SLG for GPT slite colon chat. open.com SLG and search on Google it will show
210. 35:15you the 116,000 gpts that have been created so there are tons of these things out there and let me see if
211. 35:30salmon flying East let me see if no I'm not in there but I think Sin City sipper is Sin City yeah so my Sin City
212. 35:44sipper so if I if I typed in site colon colon site colon chat. open.com gspace Sin City it brings up the Sin
213. 35:57City sipper which is the very first GPT I ever made so that has now been captured by Google's algorithm and
214. 36:07you can go find it and this one's a fun one too um reinvent the margarita for me and it's going to create an image of
215. 36:17whatever this new concoction is and then give me the recipe for it slick right so you can share these things on
216. 36:30um directories out there that are made for them but you can also just wait for oh that's beautiful the Vegas pink
217. 36:39Margarita tequila lime juice prickly pear syrup for that vibrant pink UE that's great triple SE ice cubes salt
218. 36:47for riing the glass lime wedge and an edible flow so so this Sin City sipper is a it takes classic drinks puts a
219. 36:57Vagas Twist on them that's very vegacy look how beautiful that is you can put that right in a drink menu could
220. 37:05you can your creative GPT chat box me embedded in a personal website um not quite yet what you can do is you can just take
221. 37:19um like a screenshot of the logo or whatever make an image for it and then put that image on your webs that links to the
222. 37:28GPT I have I have a suspicion this is purely speculation I have a suspicion that when the chat GPT store comes out
223. 37:38there will be ways to embed these things in your website and embed codes and um you may not even need to have
224. 37:49um chat GPT 4 to run them but that one that one I'm iffy on I have a feeling they're going to keep people wanting to pay for them do you
225. 37:59have to pay for chat GPT you do unbrace sun but um so on Saturday when we do the GPT for good what I'm also going to show is how you
226. 38:10can do the exact same thing with po you can make a PO um GPT bot um so you can effectively create the same thing without having to have a
227. 38:21subscription um but I don't we don't quite know these things are going to live uh once the GPT store comes out so uh and and making
228. 38:32gpts is so easy that um it's it's much easier than making them on PO CU po you still have to do a little configuration
229. 38:40on chat GPT you don't I have several gpts on my website page of course one must have GPT for Access yeah I know
230. 38:48Source Camp it's it's a it's a drag right now but um more and more people will get access to it and I I can only imagine that they'll find a
231. 39:00way to run these things as a as a standalone like a a standalone running app hang on I got to let champ in I'll be right

247. 42:49every 3 hours an and I are going to alternate so it starts at 6:00 in the morning it goes 691 12 3 69123 for 24 hours I'll be doing it here
248. 43:02on Tik Tok she's going to be doing it on her Zoom Channel and um we're going to we're going to teach people how to make gpts
249. 43:11and our request is that they make a GPT for a nonprofit either one they work with or one that they just support and
250. 43:17want to do a cool GPT um if you're doing it just for for a nonprofit you might not be able to use their logo but you know
251. 43:26um you can still do something that will educate someone about that nonprofit you also don't have to share the nonprofits
252. 43:32but the whole idea is you make gpts and you share them and uh what channel um the how you mean how do how do you
253. 43:46find out about this so if you go to the AI Salon if you go to that URL there is a a hang
254. 44:00on there's a section called Salon streams and meetings and in that there's the GPT for good event and then that tell that gives you
255. 44:13all the info and it gives you links to Ann's Zoom meeting and my Tik Tok and so we're just going to be doing this
256. 44:24alternating tutorial on how to do gpts for 24 hours and then we want to get people to share them and share them with
257. 44:32this hashtag and our goal is to build and share 100 gpts for nonprofits Isn't that cool isn't that fun and this was
258. 44:41this came up last Thursday someone just said Kyle you should do some 24-hour thing and I'm like that was stupid I'm
259. 44:48never doing that again and then then I had this idea I was like wait a minute what if we did it for nonprofits it's
260. 44:55kind of like a hackathon except we're using chat gpt's incredible ease of use um where you don't have to be a
261. 45:04technologist you don't need to be a hacker hang on to SEC all right Winston I owe you Kyle that's fine

274. 47:18button it'll take you to a list of gpts you've made or used and then here's some by open AI that you can play with with
275. 47:27and the very top link is create a GPT so you click on that and and this is it there's two panes there's the create pan and then
276. 47:36there's the preview pane as you create it it just instantly builds it for you and so it can be anything now I got to
277. 47:45come up with with [ __ ] covid brain I got to come up with some clever idea let's see I've got a stupid one no that's too stupid um let's
278. 48:06see I got one I'd like to create a GPT that asks
279. 48:22someone about the kind of furniture they like and the era that that furniture came from and once you have enough
280. 48:38information you design them a piece of custom furniture okay so the the talking that I just did there that's not part of chat
281. 48:49GPT I'm just using the Mac um accessibility thing with the microphone I forget what it's called but it's you
282. 48:56hit the microphone button you can talk instead of type um so I could have just typed that but like that's all you have
283. 49:04to do like I'm going to hit return here and it's going to updating GPT so it right now is building us a GPT and you'll see over here on the
284. 49:15right once it Updates this thing it'll populate over on the right A Creative Furniture designer who designs custom
285. 49:22pieces based on user preference is um let's see I want to make a chair sounds like an exciting Project
286. 49:38Style preferences let's see style mid century uh materials wood and
287. 49:54leather function and comfort is the chair more aesthetic let's go aesthetic athetic and
288. 50:09futuristic color scheme let's go with vibrant colors cultural historical influences Frank Lloyd Wright
289. 50:30and then size and environment uh business Lobby boom now it should thank you based on that it's going to describe it design concept the

293. 51:30image where does it pull the data from in this case is just pulling it from gp4 which here's the thing about chat gp4 it [ __ ] knows
294. 51:40everything not not everything but essentially all of the data that they could get their sweaty little paws on
295. 51:49um that is futuristic it's got some sort of weird ass chair thing going on like leg thing going on on the on the bottom
296. 51:58there let's go it's pretty slick um try again but go more minimalist uh
297. 52:14uh so I'm going to go back over here and I'm going to say um immediately after getting enough information about the
298. 52:29chair the GPT should generate the rendering first and then describe the concept so you can update your GPT and
299. 52:42so here's the the chair it did I mean that's very mid-century modern it's not very futuristic it kind of looks like
300. 52:49something you'd see in an old school but that's okay um it's going to be called Arian designer um we we'll go fix that but
301. 53:02it's generating a profile picture for us now which is kind of cool oh that's awful okay let's go um let's call it

304. 53:50yeah okay so so it's updating that and I'm going to show you one other one other thing here all right so now it's generating a profile

306. 54:14called the bespoke furniture designer designer creating custom furniture renderings based on user preferences so
307. 54:22now on this left hand side I just used the chat GPT interface I can flip over to this other Mode called
308. 54:27configure where I've got the icon the name of the GPT the description The Prompt the the base of the prompt uh and
309. 54:38then what those starter questions are now I've also got this thing down here called knowledge where I can upload
310. 54:45files so let's say that I had a I had written a book on Furniture Design or or you know historical Furniture Design or
311. 54:53you find an old open Open Source book on Furniture Design you can upload anything you want into the knowledge base and
312. 55:01then this GPT can access that knowledge as its knowledge base this is the thing that makes it really powerful the other
313. 55:09thing that you can do is you can turn on web browsing and um Dolly image generation and this thing called code
314. 55:15interpreter which is data analysis you can even hook it up to API these gpts can get very very sophisticated but the
315. 55:24fact that you can just talk it into existence with the with the use of chat gpp as the interface makes it really
316. 55:30really powerful okay so now we have this thing that we're decently happy with I didn't tweak it at all but whatever when
317. 55:38I say save you can save it for only you for anyone with the link like if you just want to share this internally
318. 55:43within your nonprofit or if you want to share it publicly if you share it publicly the little note here says this
319. 55:51GPT may appear in the GPT store so right now today today because there's no GPT store sharing it with anyone with the
320. 55:59link and public are effectively the same thing but if you say public then when the GPT store comes there's a chance
321. 56:09that your gpts will be listed on the GPT store and what Sam Alman said is the most popular of these gpts are going to
322. 56:17go into some sort of rev sharing thing so you can make money with J you could actually make money with ch
323. 56:26uh if you if you create a popular GPT all right and that's it like we're done like this exists I can now share this in
324. 56:34fact here's what I'm going to do I'm going to take a screenshot of the this little thing whatever that's called the title and the
325. 56:50image I think that saved it to my did that go clipboard or desktop that's desktop okay and then I'm going to go

333. 58:32or something for your business or just a fun toy for people to play with you can build into these a call to action so this is one of
334. 58:40the things we're going to do at the GPT for good event which let me put that information back up let's see yep here we
335. 58:51go if you go to the salon. it'll take you here and this will take you straight into the detail
336. 59:07page and so what was I talking about um we're going to teach PE people something on Saturday you make a
337. 59:22GPT oh we're going to teach you how to build into it a call to action so what that means is this we're going to create
338. 59:31we're going to create the GPT for the nonprofit that'll tell you about the nonprofit it'll tell you about the cause of the
339. 59:38nonprofit and then after it tells you information it's going to do a call to action to say go to the Donate
340. 59:46page and so you can build calls to action into these things so you can make a really fun thing that people like to
341. 59:52play with and then at some point in there do like a little ad for your business so maybe you're a bakery we one
342. 1:00:00of the ideas that came up in here I think I think Sherry D put together a GPT of sugar cookies like iced sugar
343. 1:00:07cookies or I don't know who who it was that did it I know I forget who it was but anyway it was a sugar cookie GPT well imagine
344. 1:00:16if you're a baker and you gave out this thing for people to make sugar cookies um really cool designs and then
345. 1:00:25you could say hey if you want these designs made contact the bakery so so these things can be incredibly powerful
346. 1:00:34all right can you develop a GPT that would serve as a style guide for do absolutely in fact Barbara I've done it I did it for
347. 1:00:44sdxl so if you've got the the criteria for how you oh Be not Afraid did the sugar canvas GPT that's right that's that's

350. 1:01:20something like into a fillable PDF is there a way for the final output to be exported so ugly men yes if you use code interpreter one of
351. 1:01:35the things that code interpreter can do is that it it can output in specific file formats including PDF so yes now if you want it to act
352. 1:01:46more like a predictable application you may need to build an application like in something like zappier with their interace faces
353. 1:01:56um uh feature um but but if you just want to prototype something really quickly yeah you can have it output
354. 1:02:04PDFs on some of my gpts I have a prompt that says to add a call to action to visit my website yeah that's that's
355. 1:02:11exactly what we're going to teach a human being on Saturday is we'll we'll do a call to action to the Donate page
356. 1:02:19so that's why what we're going to do is we're going to have people get two URLs from the nonprofit one is the about the
