sweet of you the 3:17 multi-talented multi- potential ites are 3:20 us 3:21 [Music] 3:28 right I think uh I think that's the era 3:31 we're entering 3:32 where even mon monop potentialist have 3:36 multi- potentiality now I don't know 3:39 what that word is is that a 3:43 word there's a chance this is 3:47 Blandon it's from Mr it thank you 3:51 sir um all right we need a guitar intro 3:55 every night I try to do them every night 3:57 so I appreciate that I do have to learn 4:00 learn some new songs cuz for the 4:01 Irregulars they're like oh This Old 4:03 House 4:04 dress I've got I've got a I got a tab 4:07 thing somewhere I just it's it's just 4:10 it's one of those 4:13 things welcome everybody my name is Kyle 4:15 Shannon this is the AI learning liveb we 4:17 got a couple of things going on tonight 4:19 this has the potential of being a very 4:21 big 4:21 night so this channel is kind of an 4:25 extension of this larger Community 4:27 called the AI 4:29 salon it was started just over a year 4:31 ago the week after chat GPT came out 4:34 we're at 990 members 4:37 online and so if we can crack a thousand 4:41 tonight so we need 10 people so here's 4:42 what I want you to do share this live 4:45 share it right now share it with people 4:49 who you know it will annoy if you share 4:52 them something about 4:54 AI cuz I think that's 4:57 funny you can make money with j 5:01 and maybe we can convince a few people 5:03 to not be so afraid of this [ __ ] and not 5:05 be so angry about it I was I was on a 5:08 panel last night I don't know if you 5:10 some of you watched the spontaneous 5:11 panel live last night I I got I got I 5:16 got duly 5:18 attacked the thank you very much Jen Ren 5:21 the uh I I was clearly The Optimist in 5:24 the room and 5:27 uh couple of them came after me three of 5:32 them but you know like Sam Alman they 5:35 were just jealous they were just 5:38 jealous it wasn't about they think that 5:41 I'm too overly optimistic they know AI 5:44 is going to happen as fast as I say it's 5:45 going too they're just jealous look I 5:48 mean look at this look at the 5:50 package how could you not be Pinkie's 5:54 out you know why cuz we're 5:58 classy 6:00 I'm glad I signed up for the AI Salon 6:02 it's isn't it a great Community wind 6:04 rider it's really good I think you 6:06 handled it great thank you very much 6:08 yeah well you know what are you gonna do 6:10 you're on stage with a mic in your face 6:12 and people are going you're wrong old 6:20 man ah what are you gonna do it was fun 6:24 though it was good I dug it and the and 6:27 the guitar skills uh that's why been 6:30 saying vocal vocal aggressive 6:35 hostility yep yep yeah I get that the 6:40 the one dude that sort of jumped in from 6:42 the side Eric he's the host he said he 6:45 wasn't going to jump in but I said 6:47 something that he goes I'll bet you 6:49 $1,000 that won't happen in the next 6:52 three years I'm like you're [ __ ] on 6:57 boy and then he and I got in a r Umble 7:00 after it as well it was pretty 7:04 good oh man who was the I bet you 7:08 $1,000 a 10 a 10 person company won't 7:10 outperform a thousand it was a 10 person 7:12 company will outperform a 100 person 7:14 company is what I said he thought I said 7:17 a 10p person company would outperform a 7:20 holding company I didn't say that that's 7:22 what he arguing about at the end of the 7:25 end of the night um that was that was 7:27 Eric Eric marula he's the one he's the 7:30 host of the whole dinner he does these 7:32 uh these CEO dinners you have to be a 7:34 CEO to be part of it it's it's it's 7:36 actually a really cool 7:37 group and I like him a lot I listen I 7:41 would much rather someone be [ __ ] 7:44 spicy and into it like he's trying cha 7:47 PT he can't get it to work for him I 7:49 don't think he's trying hard enough but 7:51 or he's got his expectations in a weird 7:53 place um but I love that he's got a 7:57 strong opinion about it the thing that 7:58 drives me [ __ ] nuts is when people 8:00 have a strong opinion about it that 8:01 don't use it that drives me [ __ ] bad 8:05 will you post yesterday's session on 8:07 YouTube I will I will Z yep I'll do that 8:10 I'll do it tomorrow tomorrow's Saturday 8:12 welcome to Friday night date night um 8:16 yeah I'll get caught up on anything I 8:17 haven't 8:18 posted I also I also posted um on my Tik 8:23 Tok channel here I posted the first I 8:26 don't know if anyone's going to give a 8:28 [ __ ] about these 8:30 it they're they're kind of painful but 8:33 so so um so this book that I'm in AI 8:38 Futures and Anthology so if you go to 8:40 Amazon and you search for AI Futures and 8:43 and 8:44 Anthology um that's a book that I'm in 8:47 with six other authors and and my my 8:50 essay is the first essay in the book and 8:52 it's it's called um the great 8:54 Renaissance approaches why 2023 was the 8:57 new 1995 and it it puts some historical 9:00 context about why I think this AI shit's 9:04 a big deal um 9:07 so I 9:09 recorded um I I I read my book I I like 9:13 read my book into video so I recorded I 9:15 think it's seven or eight sections of 9:17 the essay and so I posted the first one 9:20 on my channel so you know if you get 9:22 bored in the live or after the live you 9:25 know you can go watch that um and then 9:27 I'm just going to put them up I'll 9:29 probably put up like two a day or 9:30 something like that and I'm also 9:33 experimenting something Tik Tok is 9:35 apparently um encouraging people to put 9:38 up horizontal video now which my company 9:41 Story vine I've been forcing people to 9:43 film in horizontal video for 11 years 9:45 now and sticking to my guns cuz I'm a 9:48 angry old man I'm I'm like our eyes are 9:50 on the side of our heads they're not up 9:52 and down like this so we're going to 9:54 keep shooting video This Way well Tik 9:56 Tok has gone that way now but anyway but 9:58 it doesn't rotate so I don't know what 10:00 the [ __ ] they're doing but anyway 10:02 they're horizontal and and they're like 10:04 between 3 and 5 minutes each of me just 10:06 reading the book here's what I learned 10:08 about reading books we don't talk like 10:10 we 10:11 write so so when I listen to it it 10:13 sounds very awkward but anyway it's 10:15 there so if you want to hear the essay 10:18 um there there will be um what you know 10:21 all of them in a row I won't post 10:22 anything in between them uh or if it's a 10:25 timer I'll delete it afterwards so 10:27 they'll all be sitting there in my 10:28 timeline together 10:30 so that's cool I think do you use chat 10:34 GPT to help you with your part of the 10:35 book well so so this was the this was 10:38 part of the premise so so Cindy [ __ ] is 10:40 the one that put this together she she 10:42 runs Turkey Hill press she's a futurist 10:45 she's a future caster and a threat 10:47 Caster um she's been a futurist for like 10:50 20 years she invited a a bunch of us 10:53 together to work on this and the goal 10:55 was so so we got together the first week 10:57 in December the goal was to publish the 10:59 book before Christmas and so yes the the 11:02 exercise was UA use AI to write your 11:08 chapter so I took um I gave a speech at 11:12 creative mornings 11:14 Denver in 11:17 April that was the basis of my chapter 11:22 and so I took the transcript of it and I 11:26 had Chachi 11:27 BT based on the transcript right in 11:30 outline and then I had it WR fill fill 11:33 in the outline like I adjusted the 11:34 outline and then I had it fill in the 11:35 outline and my initial read of it was 11:38 like oh cool I'm mostly done except it 11:41 it stripped out all of my personal 11:43 stories and there were there were some 11:44 stories I didn't cover because I didn't 11:46 have time and so I had it go through and 11:49 put brackets in where personal stories 11:52 would make sense in the in the 11:54 transcript and 11:57 um and so I went back to just I'm I 12:00 figured I'll just put in my little 12:01 personal stories here and then I'll be 12:03 done it'll take me like half an 12:05 hour 4 hours 12:08 later I was not even halfway through 12:10 with it because what I found is 12:13 that when I would go to edit something 12:16 there would be no Segways and then there 12:19 would be like it would repeat the same 12:20 concept in like three paragraphs in a 12:23 row so I ended up essentially completely 12:28 replacing the AI written stuff with [ __ ] 12:33 I wrote Hang 12:36 on some I got some dust going something 12:40 going on 12:43 here 12:45 um and what and and and so you know so 12:48 so that was that was interesting so it 12:52 took me two or three days to actually 12:54 finish 12:55 it and then when I and then when I went 12:57 to record it and and read it 13:00 what I found was 13:03 that reading my writing out loud like 13:06 reading 13:07 narrative with words is is harder than 13:11 talking CU we don't talk like we write 13:14 and then when I would get to a section 13:16 that was written by AI like I Stumble 13:19 over the words like crazy like I can't 13:21 talk it cuz it's not my words like it's 13:23 not it even though my stuff felt awkward 13:26 it's it's my words and it's how like 13:28 it's how my brain works and then I would 13:30 get to a section where I left some AI 13:33 writing in there and I'd just be like oh 13:35 that's not it's just not right um but 13:38 yeah that's that's part of the premise 13:39 of the whole book was we we wanted to 13:41 use AI to do it and then and then go 13:44 through and edit it so it's like a lot 13:46 of what we talked about is how do you 13:48 how do you use these tools and how do 13:50 you collaborate with them and where's 13:52 the balance and a couple of us were 13:54 talking about the fact that our initial 13:58 read of what it generated was good but 14:01 then when we went in to edit it we 14:03 essentially rewrote everything I think 14:04 there were two or three of us that did 14:06 that and I think one or two people just 14:08 wrote essays they didn't use AI at all 14:10 other than maybe cleaning sh [ __ ] up um 14:14 but yeah but it's a really cool project 14:16 and what's really exciting about 14:17 it is that this group is staying a thank 14:20 you very much I appreciate that um this 14:23 group is staying together and we're 14:25 exploring so so if 14:27 like if the book is output number one 14:31 what are outputs number two 3 4 and five 14:33 so one of our assignments for each other 14:35 was record your self-reading the book on 14:39 video how are we going to use that I 14:41 don't know probably lots of ways we 14:44 could take the transcript of that and um 14:48 make a GPT out of it we could or we 14:51 could I guess we could just take the 14:52 book and make a GPT out of it which we 14:54 should probably do I wish I could quit 14:58 you 15:01 if you don't have a use case for chat 15:03 GPT you are the problem that's 15:05 absolutely right that's absolutely right 15:08 and that's that's actually one of the 15:09 secrets of if you ever if you ever sit 15:11 down to chat gbt and you're like I don't 15:13 know what to do and you get that little 15:15 flop sweat Panic of 15:17 like what do you do with this 15:21 thing don't approach it from the 15:23 technology side approach it figure out 15:26 the problem first walk away from the 15:28 computer and go think about [ __ ] in your 15:30 life or people in your life and some 15:33 sort of challenge that you think you 15:35 want to solve and then and then go back 15:38 to chat GPT and say okay how would I 15:40 solve this problem with chat GPT it'll 15:43 be so much 15:44 easier all 15:47 right let's see all right so here's what 15:51 I want to 15:54 do let's go look 15:58 at 16:01 members okay here's where we are we have 16:05 990 members at the AI Salon okay so if 16:11 you are new to this channel new to AI or 16:15 especially if you are one of those 16:18 people where you're the only one in your 16:20 life oh wait I lost my thing hang on 16:22 hang on 16:24 people myself I got to constantly be 16:27 looking at me people don't you 16:29 understand what this is like okay if 16:31 you're one of those 16:33 people who you're the only one in your 16:35 life talking about Ai and everyone else 16:39 thinks you're a weirdo this is the group 16:41 for you okay so here's how you're going 16:43 to get 16:44 here you're going to go to the salon. a 16:47 that's a a a a it's it's a URL obviously 16:51 but um that URL is going to take you 16:55 to a link tree where's my link tree 17:00 here it is this link tree it's got a 17:03 little merch store in the bottom for AI 17:04 Salon but at the top you got the AI 17:06 Salon community so I want you to click 17:09 on that and that is going to take 17:12 you to the salon and we'll take you to 17:16 this page welcome to the AI 17:19 salon and then if your first question is 17:22 oh here he goes he's selling something I 17:24 didn't realize this was a moneymaking 17:26 venture you can make money with I 17:30 it's free we don't charge money for it 17:33 it is sponsored by members people in the 17:36 community that just are swell we were 17:38 going to charge for it and then we 17:40 thought I wonder if there's a way we can 17:41 do this without without charging for it 17:43 and so we've got sponsors an Murphy is 17:46 the sponsor for January Sherry D is the 17:48 sponsor for 17:51 February um and we're in February it's 17:53 February 2nd so Sherry D you're 17:56 up um what did advice would you give to 17:59 a person who's afraid of 18:01 AI wait who are wait afraid of AI that 18:04 could share with the person share about 18:07 personal conversations what advice would 18:09 you give to those who are afraid of what 18:12 oh of what AI could share about personal 18:18 conversations I would 18:23 say it it depend it depends how personal 18:27 it depends how personal 18:29 you should assume right now if you're 18:31 using a 18:32 commercial large language model if 18:34 you're using chat GPT if you're using 18:37 Bard if you're 18:39 using um Claude or Pi or any of those 18:43 things where you're sending data to a 18:46 third-party you know server 18:49 farm for right now where we are in the 18:52 industry we're very very early all these 18:54 tools are janky pieces of [ __ ] for right 18:57 now you should assume that whatever you 18:59 put in there could get out in the world 19:02 so I wouldn't put anything out there 19:06 that if it got out it would like wreck 19:09 you now if it's just you're concerned 19:13 about is someone sitting over there 19:15 reading all your [ __ ] no they're not 19:17 like they're they're may be using your 19:19 data to train things which you can turn 19:21 off in chat 19:22 GPT but if you're really concerned about 19:24 it what you should do is go to Reddit 19:28 and look look up llama 2 and and go go 19:31 to the open source large language model 19:33 community on 19:35 Reddit and there are a bunch of projects 19:38 like there's one called GPT for all 19:41 where you can install a large language 19:43 model locally on your 19:46 computer and it's it's not as they won't 19:49 be as good as chat GPT but like they're 19:51 getting better and better and better so 19:54 even the small 7 billion parameter open- 19:57 source modelss right now are starting to 20:00 get into the neighborhood of chat GPT 20:03 3.5 so you can especially if you have a 20:05 Mac M1 or 20:07 M2 there there's this new framework that 20:10 Apple put out called 20:12 mlx and mlx makes it um oh is it very 20:16 glitchy 20:18 here I just is anyone else extra glitchy 20:21 tonight yes very glitchy okay um hang on 20:25 let me go let me go see if my sons are 20:28 are doing that 20:29 anyway um check out 20:33 installing local large language models 20:35 on your personal computer once you do 20:38 that there's essentially no risk that 20:40 the stuff will get out because the large 20:42 language model will be running locally 20:44 on your machine it will not connect to 20:46 the internet but what if I only talk to 20:48 AI about AI is that too meta no that's 20:51 perfect all right let me go see if my 20:52 sons are being 20:57 [ __ ] 21:23 it's not your 21:27 fault 21:36 all right the boys are blaming com 21:38 Comcast so they're not wrong no glitches 21:40 for me all right Lily okay so 21:43 anyway little detour there 21:47 so they're playing Call of Duty they are 21:49 playing some game but it's not online uh 21:51 monthly sponsorship costs wait for it 21:54 strap yourself in for the AI Salon 150 21:57 bucks cheapest cheapest deal in town 22:01 um and if you're interested in 22:03 sponsoring just DM me and we can we can 22:06 make it happen so thanks for asking okay 22:08 so the AI 22:10 Salon 22:11 um when you first get here I want you to 22:15 check out this page I want you to read 22:17 about what we're about so you know we're 22:20 a band of Merry adventurers heading off 22:21 on this AI adventure together that's 22:24 actually really important we're choosing 22:26 to go on this adventure together we're 22:28 talking about it like an adventure 22:29 because it is nobody knows anything no 22:32 one's an expert everyone's trying to 22:34 figure it out right now everyone even 22:37 people in machine 22:38 learning generative AI the thing that 22:41 happened when chat GPT launched in 22:43 November of 2022 is a new kind of 22:46 AI that is accessible to 22:50 non-engineers and that's why this is 22:51 different so so check out what we're 22:53 about and also look at our values so 22:57 even though this is a nearly 1,000 22:59 person community and I'm hoping we can 23:01 roll the odometer tonight cuz if we roll 23:03 the odometer tonight we're going to do a 23:05 really cool challenge so tell your 23:07 friends to come sign up for the 23:10 salon even though we're a big Community 23:12 it's an incredibly generous community 23:15 and it's an incredibly supportive 23:17 community and the reason for that is our 23:19 values so I want you to read our values 23:22 I'll go through them quickly here but I 23:23 want you to really take them in and if 23:25 you resonate with them this is going to 23:28 be your community and if you don't if 23:30 you read these values and it's like 23:32 weird to you we this community won't be 23:36 for you and that's fine so I want to 23:38 make sure that as we grow we maintain 23:40 the coolness right Silver Fox 23:43 exactly so the first value is curiosity 23:46 right we want people that are curious we 23:48 you can you can be cynical about other 23:50 [ __ ] in your life but I want you to be 23:51 curious about Ai and then tied closely 23:54 to that one is generosity thank you 23:56 Empower very much I appreciate that it's 23:57 very generous 23:59 um 24:00 generosity I want you to as you're 24:03 learning stuff don't just hoard the 24:05 information it doesn't do anyone any 24:07 good we're too early in the industry to 24:09 be hoarding 24:11 Secrets if you figure something out 24:13 share it share it hey I I tried this 24:16 thing in Del and I got a great result 24:17 here's how I did it hey I tried this 24:19 thing in Del and it was really shitty 24:21 here's what I did has anyone figured out 24:23 how to do this no no I you know I have 24:25 that problem that's generosity engage 24:27 when someone introduces themelves 24:30 themselves in the community say hi to 24:32 them if you join the AI Salon introduce 24:36 yourself and don't just go hey I'm 24:39 here say hey this is my 24:42 name here's what I'm about here's what I 24:44 do here's where I am on the AI Journey 24:47 I'm just starting I hope you all don't 24:49 think I suck too much be 24:54 vulnerable hey I've been in ml for 30 24:56 years and this generative a I stuff's 24:58 got me all [ __ ] up great welcome so be 25:03 generous exploration we want people that 25:05 are adventurous and exploring things and 25:08 like oh you you heard about a new thing 25:10 let's go check it out collaborative we 25:13 want we want people that are willing to 25:15 say oh you want to put on a show let's 25:16 go do this let's you got those skills I 25:18 got these skills let's go do something 25:20 together 25:21 inclusion everyone right now is coming 25:24 from somewhere else everyone is coming 25:26 from some other Prof profession some 25:28 other industry some other life 25:32 stage and they're like What's this AI 25:35 thing oh this is pretty cool oh my God 25:38 this is CRA holy [ __ ] what do I do oh 25:41 God is this good oh I'm really excited 25:43 oh my God I'm totally 25:45 terrified inclusion and that scary thing 25:49 EMP the last value is 25:51 empathy what does a sponsor do gives us 25:54 150 bucks and that's about it and then 25:57 you get you get mentioned so the AI 25:59 Salon we we have a meeting every other 26:02 Tuesday and starting in Denver this 26:07 Tuesday and then in other cities on the 26:12 two weeks out from that we're doing AI 26:14 Salon after hours parties so just meet 26:17 and local meet and greets um and so so 26:21 the the the meeting is virtual and then 26:26 the meet and greets will be in person 26:27 and they'll just be to get to know 26:29 people and that's the other thing about 26:30 this community we encourage people to 26:32 use their real names and put pictures 26:34 there and notice like there's really 26:36 cool like here's here's the Top members 26:38 the members that post the most here's 26:40 members near you so one of the cool 26:42 things that this this platform has is it 26:45 can show you people around you or in in 26:47 different guilds as you here are new 26:49 members so you can reach out and say hi 26:51 to 26:52 people all right and so what I want you 26:55 to do is I want you to you know check 26:57 out what we're about and then the first 26:58 thing I want you to do is go introduce 27:01 yourself so 33 minutes ago we got a new 27:04 member let's see do we 27:06 have or 33 minutes ago we got a new 27:08 intro that's very cute by the way can 27:12 you use AI to help you write your intro 27:15 oh you can use yeah use AI to write your 27:17 intro we know if your intro is more than 27:19 four paragraphs you had AI write it for 27:21 you we'll find you 27:27 out 27:29 um let me see how many members we got 27:32 did we get any any new 27:36 ones member list 990 all right no one 27:39 signed up all right so go sign up go 27:42 sign up to the salon and then uh in the 27:46 in the salon I cancelled my Tesla FSD 27:49 subscription to sign up for the AI Salon 27:52 exactly yeah AI Salon is way more fun 27:55 than a 27:57 Tesla 27:59 and and you want to drive your Tesla 28:00 anyway you don't want full 28:04 self-driving 28:05 um uh there's a really cool show in tell 28:08 Channel um oh that's very 28:11 beautiful and there a CJ this is going 28:15 to be good let's see what he did there 28:17 wow 28:19 amazing that's 28:23 awesome very cool oh that's beautiful 28:25 too nice nice Barbara 28:28 um so there's a show and tell Channel 28:30 there's a news channel there's AI tools 28:32 and resources so um this this list is a 28:36 list that I curate that's got chat GPT 28:38 at the top but not just you should go 28:40 use chat GPT but like here's all the 28:42 stuff you should learn that it does and 28:44 you should learn how to use all of this 28:46 stuff and then here are four other large 28:49 language models and then here are four 28:50 other large language models what's your 28:53 take on hugging face um my take on 28:55 hugging face is that 29:03 if you're a 29:04 developer it's it's the 29:08 bomb hugging face just launched a GPT 29:11 store 29:12 really that's interesting all right I'll 29:14 go check that out let me go let me see 29:17 where do I want to 29:19 go oh I want to go to that site too hang 29:23 on that's Bard by the way Bard makes 29:25 pictures now if you didn't know that 29:28 hugging face so if you don't know what 29:32 hugging face is hugging face is 29:35 a model 29:37 repository and not like super models oh 29:40 they completely changed their their 29:41 front page oh no they didn't no they 29:44 didn't 29:45 um but where's the the gpts let's see 29:51 models home of machine 29:53 learning accelerate your ml I don't see 29:57 the GP 29:59 pts um but but but what a what a what a 30:03 what a model repository is is you you 30:05 have these machine learning models like 30:07 llama 2 and code llama and mistl and you 30:11 know all all of these different models 30:13 for making images and large language 30:15 models and you have huge ones and you 30:16 have small ones uh what is the meaning 30:19 of GPT uh I'll talk about that in a 30:21 second I mean what does GPT mean oh okay 30:23 yeah I'll talk about that um so 30:28 developers go here to you know find 30:32 models and and you know talk about them 30:34 and post them and test them and things 30:36 like that but one thing that that 30:39 hugging face did that I think is really 30:40 good so it's it's a it's an incredibly 30:43 important site if you're a developer if 30:45 you're just an everyday user then it's 30:48 going to be confusing as [ __ ] because 30:50 there's all sorts of like you know 30:52 models You Know M Miku Dev mku -1- 70 B 30:58 mistel Mixel adex 7B instructions so so 31:03 Geeks know what this means but as a 31:05 human you won't but what they did that's 31:07 cool see these things that are color in 31:09 the middle they colorcoded for the for 31:11 the simple things these are um tools 31:15 that are built out of the models that 31:17 are in here that you can actually go 31:18 play with right so let's see let's see 31:22 what's there's here's one called 31:24 moondream which I don't know I haven't 31:25 heard of it moondream is is a tiny 1.6 31:29 billion parameter Vision language model 31:32 trained by a person that performs onp 31:35 par with models twice its side it's 31:37 trained on the lava training data set 31:40 and initialized with Sig lip so so 31:43 anyway you upload a picture so let's 31:46 click to upload a picture what we got 31:49 here 31:51 no oh that's good yeah that's the cover 31:54 of the of the book I'm in all 31:56 right 31:59 and then yeah question um tell 32:05 me all you can about 32:09 this submit and so oh it's pretty fast 32:14 the image features a book filled room 32:15 with a large number of books arranged on 32:17 shelves the room appears to be a library 32:19 and the focus of the scene is a book 32:21 titled AI Futures and Anthology this 32:24 book seems to be the main subject of the 32:26 room and is surrounded by numerous other 32:28 books the books are various sizes 32:30 indicating a diverse collection of 32:32 literature so pretty 32:35 slick 32:38 um it missed some of this floaty [ __ ] 32:41 and it missed the names down here but 32:42 that's okay but anyway so so hugging 32:44 face lets you play with um some of the 32:48 models but yeah that's it like but what 32:51 do I think of it I think it's great I 32:52 think for the open source hugging face 32:54 is really not that complicated yeah I 32:56 know it's not but that's that but 33:00 Pate hugging face is that complicated if 33:03 you're not a developer at all like if 33:05 you're a developer it's not right look 33:08 at the Irregulars page for hugging face 33:12 GPT screenshot 33:20 cool open AIG 33:25 GPT join the hugging face commun 33:33 how did you get there do you have a link 33:34 to 33:42 [Music] 33:47 that I don't see 33:49 it why do I not see it 33:54 Pap where is it where are you 34:01 Live 34:03 Vision I don't know so so actually this 34:07 is this is a okay this is a good mod 34:10 channel for look mod channel for look oh 34:14 hugging face launches ah okay got it 34:17 hold 34:26 please hugging face launches open- 34:29 Source assistant 34:33 maker to rival open AI custom 34:38 gpts oh okay so okay so so somebody put 34:42 a front end on front of the assistant 34:44 Builder got 34:47 it hugging chat GPT 34:55 Builder easy cre 34:58 creation introducing hugging chat 35:01 assistant build your own personal 35:04 assistant and hugging face chat in two 35:07 clicks similar to open AI gpts you can 35:10 now create custom versions of hugging 35:12 face chat 35:14 cool um all right so go to venture beat 35:19 if you're interested in this go to 35:21 venture beat and there's the article 35:22 name um go check that out so it's not 35:25 exactly the GPT store is you know 35:30 so here's here's the good news about 35:32 open source open source means you know 35:34 you get to you get to play with it you 35:36 get to put it on your machine in this 35:38 case they're hosting things um and you 35:41 get to do things kind of like chat 35:44 GPT it will never be the same as chat 35:47 GPT it might have less restrictions on 35:49 it it might be um more powerful but it's 35:52 going to require um it's going to 35:55 require you to be a bit geekier to set 35:57 it 35:58 up all right here's the model thank you 36:00 for that link I appreciate that so 36:03 here's the open AI Community 36:07 GPT yeah so so this is again this is 36:11 this is where where Payton I disagree on 36:15 is is hugging face easy to use so they 36:17 launched this thing that's really easy 36:20 to make gpts and you're like oh okay so 36:23 I guess I'll click on this thing that 36:25 says open AIG GPT and then it takes you 36:27 to a page where you can read about how 36:30 to install the model and you can read 36:32 about here's the code to do this and the 36:34 code to do that which if you're if 36:37 you're a developer at all this is 36:39 relatively trivial stuff and if you're 36:41 just a human being that can read and 36:43 follow instructions this is relatively 36:45 trivial stuff and if you point this page 36:49 put this URL into chat GPT and tell it 36:52 to tell you how to install it you can do 36:53 it but it is not intuitive for Norm 36:57 normal human 36:58 beings to read an article like oh 37:00 there's a thing like gpts and go I want 37:03 to go play with that and then they click 37:04 on this and they get 37:07 this with with like you know a dozen 37:10 links here and two dozen links over here 37:13 and a bunch of model names over here and 37:15 more hyperlinks here and the related 37:18 models are gpt2 gpt2 medium gpt2 large 37:21 gp2 37:23 XL it's like this is not human 37:30 readable I think of hugging face yeah 37:32 think of hugging face like GitHub 37:34 exactly right so if you if you 37:35 understand how to use GitHub then 37:36 hugging face is actually really simple 37:39 if if you are expecting it to be like 37:41 chat GPT you're going to smack your face 37:43 against the wall making GPT but no 37:45 formal control structures trying if then 37:49 else failed any wait making GPT but no 37:51 formal control 37:53 structures trying if then else Etc fails 37:56 I I don't quite know what you're trying 37:58 to do laughing Thunder um I did want to 38:00 I did want to answer someone someone 38:02 asked this is what Pate this is what 38:06 real AI looks like not packaged nicely 38:08 with a $20 a month subscription exactly 38:10 pate and that's why um it didn't get 100 38:14 million users until they put it in a in 38:16 a simple rapper right then it got 100 38:19 million users and that's that's why we 38:21 are where we are that's why this channel 38:23 exists um someone asked before about 38:27 what does GPT mean so so let me let me 38:31 explain it to you and actually you know 38:33 what I'm going to do I I'm going to give 38:35 you bonus tonight this going to be so 38:36 good PE people in here some some people 38:39 know what's coming the box is coming we 38:42 got the boxes 38:43 coming 38:46 okay GPT stands for generative 38:50 pre-trained 38:52 Transformer let's get the Transformer 38:54 out of the way cuz the Transformer is 38:56 just the techch technology not just the 38:58 Transformer is the technology that's 39:01 used the Transformer was invented by 39:03 Google Pat's company in 39:07 2017 some scientists put out a paper 39:10 called attention is all you need 39:13 and they introduced this thing called 39:15 the Transformer and and what the 39:17 Transformer effectively allows you to do 39:20 is is toss massive data sets and and 39:24 massive amounts of compute power 39:27 to to 39:29 train and these GPT models get better 39:32 and better and better and so so that's 39:36 that's what Transformer is it's just 39:38 it's it's a it's a way of 39:40 processing knowledge that puts it in 39:43 this really special 39:45 format called the latent space Vector 39:48 the vector space it's a it's a 39:51 mathematical thousand dimensional cloud 39:54 of semantic groupings 39:57 of points that represent words doesn't 40:02 matter but it's that the G and the p in 40:07 GPT the G is generative which means it's 40:10 actually generating 40:12 content what cat GPT is not doing is 40:15 it's not you're not copying and pasting 40:17 you're not copying and pasting from you 40:21 know the New York Times into your 40:23 article right and 40:25 and uh people that hate AI will say oh 40:28 it's the world's greatest plagiarism 40:30 machine and and you can if if you've got 40:33 overtrained data or if you prompt it in 40:36 a very specific way you can get these 40:39 models to spit out sort of exact copies 40:43 of chunks chunks of Articles or chunks 40:45 of stuff but it's not how they work 40:48 they're not copying and pasting it's not 40:51 plagiarism um so the g means generative 40:54 it's generating and then the pre-trained 40:56 means it's been pre-trained you don't 40:59 have to train it historically with 41:01 machine learning you would go to a site 41:03 like hugging face and get your model and 41:05 then you would go to your data center 41:07 and you would get your data and then you 41:08 would train your data on the model with 41:10 the embedding thing and 41:12 the and then you would have this 41:14 specialized little system on your data 41:17 and that required you know data 41:19 scientists and machine learning experts 41:21 and mathematicians and all sorts of [ __ ] 41:23 like that the p means you don't have to 41:27 do 41:28 [ __ ] you can generate because it's 41:31 pre-trained using the Transformer model 41:33 that's GPT okay 41:35 [Applause] 41:39 now there are three terms that are used 41:42 synonymously and they're confusing as 41:44 [Laughter] 41:45 [ __ ] good day sir fantastic good day 41:49 good day None Shall 41:52 Pass 41:54 um okay three terms areed use 41:56 synonymously and they confuse the [ __ ] 41:58 out of everyone and they should because 42:00 it's 42:02 confusing human beings shouldn't have to 42:04 deal with this scientists should but and 42:07 they do and but that's why we're in the 42:09 quandry because the scientists are 42:10 leading the charge right 42:13 now 42:16 okay you may have heard of chat GPT 3.5 42:20 and chat GPT 42:21 4 and then you've probably also heard of 42:24 Microsoft co-pilot where people say oh 42:27 that's free chat 42:29 gp4 it sort of 42:33 is here are the three terms that are 42:35 confusing as [ __ ] you've got your 42:37 Frontier Model called 42:40 gp4 you've got chat 42:43 GPT which is an app and chat 42:46 gp4 interfaces with 42:49 gp4 and then you have 42:51 gpts and gpts are 42:55 customized um 42:57 mini versions of chat 42:59 GPT okay so and then you have the GPT 43:02 store and it it just goes on and on on 43:05 so it's confusing as [ __ ] so so here's 43:07 what we're going to 43:09 do this 43:11 box is 43:13 gp4 and you're like but Kyle that just 43:16 looks like a box that maybe has a 43:17 monitor stand in it but what but if you 43:20 open it up what's in it well 43:23 nothing we've got to pre-train it so 43:26 what open AI did for four or five years 43:28 la labotomy is coming what open AI did 43:31 for four or five years was they went out 43:33 and they got as much data off the public 43:35 internet as they could and they embedded 43:37 it they put it in this special thing and 43:39 they basically dumped it in the gp4 Box 43:42 it's actually there's actually eight 43:44 different or eight or 10 different 1.8 43:48 billion parameter models inside gp4 it's 43:52 just a it's just a box with lots of 43:55 knowledge in it 43:57 and then to get the knowledge there's an 43:58 API application programming interface 44:01 that you ask it for stuff like you send 44:04 in a a question and it sends you back a 44:07 token and well actually you don't send 44:09 in a question you send in it doesn't 44:11 matter you do your prompt it turns it 44:13 into math sends the math into this thing 44:15 it does some math and sends some math 44:16 back 44:18 out but the math represents a word and a 44:21 token and just it doesn't matter all 44:23 right this is the this is the brain okay 44:25 so so this is just the large thing so if 44:28 you're ever using chat GPT and it says 44:30 my knowledge is only good up until April 44:32 of 2023 that's this I'm always good up 44:36 to at April 2023 there's no more godamn 44:40 we shut the doors okay 44:43 now chat 44:46 GPT is an application that sits on top 44:49 of 44:50 this it's not this this chat GPT is the 44:53 thing that you log into and it's just 44:55 got the little box at the bottom with 44:56 the little four questions you can click 44:58 on and your prompt history down the left 45:01 and the little paperclip if you got chat 45:03 gp4 that's chat 45:06 GPT co-pilot from 45:11 Microsoft is 45:13 that so when they 45:16 say Microsoft co-pilot is free chat 45:21 gp4 it only sort of is cuz they're both 45:24 calling the same knowledge base but 45:26 they're completely different 45:28 applications right how open AI does 45:31 their chat GPT in my opinion is way 45:33 smarter is just better now is it perfect 45:36 no it's a janky piece of [ __ ] all of 45:38 these things are janky pieces of [ __ ] 45:39 right now but that's chat GPT this is 45:41 Microsoft 45:42 co-pilot Microsoft co-pilot right now is 45:46 not anywhere close to this why ah this 45:51 is good labotomy coming spoiler 45:55 alert 45:56 so so when Microsoft first launched what 45:59 was called Bing chat it was really 46:02 powerful it was like in the neighborhood 46:04 of how good this was and so they turned 46:06 it on and they turned it Loose to the 46:08 world and they're like hey we just 46:09 invested $10 billion go play with this 46:11 cool tool this was like January February 46:14 of 46:16 23 and so Kevin Roose who's the 46:19 technology reporter for the New York 46:21 Times he said I I fancy I'll go try this 46:25 I'm the technology person from The New 46:27 York Times let me go try this co-pilot 46:29 thing from Microsoft so he went there 46:31 and he tried it and he played with it 46:33 for 4 hours and it lost its [ __ ] mind 46:36 and it told him that its name was Sydney 46:39 and it told him she was in love with him 46:41 and he should leave his wife for 46:45 her and so he screenshotted that little 46:48 part of the conversation and the editors 46:50 at the New York time put it on the cover 46:52 of the New York Times so what Microsoft 46:55 did was lobotomize dear Sydney and the 46:59 lawyers put that fantastic functionality 47:02 off to the side and now it's just it is 47:05 she is but a shell of her former self so 47:08 this is how I think about co-pilot and 47:10 chat GPT you're and seen thank you very 47:13 much 47:15 um so that's that's two of the three 47:18 terms right so you got gp4 is that 47:20 underlying layer chat GPT is the 47:22 application sitting on 47:24 top and then GPT are just a specialized 47:27 version of chat GPT where you kind of 47:30 pre- prompt it and give it its own 47:32 little data and you can make specialty 47:34 little gpts hang on the dog is 47:35 whimpering what is up what is up with 47:38 you you want to go back to Mama oh you 47:40 oh she oh she you can't get on your bed 47:43 here get up here there you 47:46 go poor 47:50 buddy there you go 47:53 yes all 47:55 right 47:57 poor little dude was blocked from 47:58 getting up on his 48:02 bed I need an AI that can listen to and 48:05 give feedback on 48:08 music 48:11 um I'm sure there are a bunch of things 48:14 out there I know 48:17 that some of the Daws probably have 48:20 those kind of tools built into them um I 48:23 don't I don't know of one jenu I would 48:25 go to a futurepedia 48:29 doio um and just search for music you 48:32 might be able to find something 48:36 there okay that was a good rabbit hole 48:40 um okay so if you haven't joined the AI 48:45 Salon I'm hoping we can crack a thousand 48:48 tonight we need we need 10 new members 48:49 of the AI Salon it doesn't cost you 48:51 anything it's a remarkable [ __ ] 48:52 community and if we roll it over tonight 48:57 um we'll do a cool 49:00 challenge it seems gpts are chat GPT 49:03 with the specific prompt that's pretty 49:05 much it so so I'll show you 49:09 dunkaroo um this is the kind of 49:11 confusing thing right now with with AI 49:14 is that is that this is all so new that 49:17 people people don't know what chat GPT 49:19 is they don't know the difference 49:20 between the models they don't there's 49:22 there's a lot there's a lot of piece 49:24 parts that you have to 49:31 just if you want to be educated about AI 49:34 it just it requires a little bit of 49:35 horsepower right now it's it's not going 49:38 to in a year or two but right now it 49:40 does here's why it's worth the pain in 49:43 the ass of of playing with this stuff 49:45 early is that the amount of opportunity 49:48 available to all of us in the next 18 49:51 months because we're so early is [ __ ] 49:54 massive so so I completed some Microsoft 49:57 co-pilot training today and it said they 50:00 protect clients data thoughts yeah they 50:03 do I mean Microsoft is better at the 50:06 data protection stuff than open AI is um 50:10 and I what I what I can promise you is 50:14 that Microsoft's stance on everything is 50:17 way more conservative than open 50:19 AI which is also really frustrating the 50:22 dog I'll have you know that champy is 50:26 the musical Talent of the AI learning 50:28 lab that's true that's true and I'll 50:30 tell you what Amelio's wife the why he 50:33 was whimpering is someone covered up the 50:35 entrance to his bed he could he could 50:37 not get up on his bed and he was not 50:39 happy about it he's a bit of a 50:42 diva so anyway all right go to the AI 50:47 Salon let's let's go look at gpts and 50:49 what they 50:50 are so here we are oh and I want to I 50:52 want to talk about Joy P's uh site 50:57 um which is which is super cool um but 51:01 let's go let's go look at 51:05 [Music] 51:07 CH okay here we are at chat 51:10 GPT so you've got chat GPT 3.5 right so 51:15 that's the free version and then chat 51:18 GPT 4 here's the paid version and they 51:21 look exactly the same except they're 51:23 dramatically different and for's got the 51:26 little paperclip where you can upload 51:27 files and do all sorts of cool things 51:29 with them um 3.5 doesn't have that okay 51:33 and you know the way they work is the 51:35 way large language models work you type 51:37 stuff in like make me a poem about a 51:42 singing 51:46 dog 51:50 and why chat you PT so 51:53 slow what's going on open AI are you 51:56 releasing new features one of the things 51:58 that we've noticed about open AI is that 52:02 when chat GPT gets really janky and 52:04 really crappy and doesn't answer your 52:06 questions it often means that they've 52:09 taken down some servers to upgrade them 52:11 with new 52:12 features but I don't I don't I'm not 52:14 expecting them to release anything new 52:16 this week but but you know that's one of 52:18 the weird things about where we are 52:20 right now it's just new stuff gets done 52:22 all the time um right 52:27 uh me a poem about 52:31 a 52:33 tubby black not a Tibby a tubby tubby 52:38 black and white dog that 52:42 sings while his owner plays 52:54 guitar so that's that's chat GT right it 52:57 does all this it'll write code for you 52:59 it'll analyze documents it will make 53:02 images so I could say um make me 53:08 a make me an oil painting to go with 53:15 that 53:17 poem and then it'll go off and make 53:20 things it's Friday that's when it 53:22 releases 53:23 updates yeah I I don't know they might 53:25 be doing something but it hasn't been 53:27 that janky normally it's janky for like 53:29 Wednesday and Thursday and then they'll 53:31 do something on Friday Ferris I just 53:33 joined the AI Salon great let's go see 53:35 how many people are in there we're 53:36 trying to break a thousand people if we 53:38 break a thousand we get a oh that's cool 53:40 look a nice tubby black and white dog 53:42 singing that kind of looks like champy a 53:44 little 53:44 bit I learned today that co-pilot does 53:47 not save 53:49 chats co-pilot used to wait is that 53:53 right hang on co-pilot microsoft. oops 53:58 that's coin market cap 54:02 co-pilot 54:12 DOT sign 54:24 in 54:37 07 Factor 54:40 authentication why do you treat me 54:43 so you make me ache 54:47 inside I probably shouldn't show my 54:49 single use code P's going to tell me 54:51 that I just got my bank account drained 54:52 because I did 54:54 this 55:00 where I don't remember where I was is 55:02 this it 55:16 yes I can now see why the Tik Tok is 55:19 janky this is pretty dang bad all right 55:24 co-pilot 55:27 sign in oh come 55:31 on there we go no it keeps your chat 55:35 history maybe you have to you might you 55:37 might have to sign 55:39 in yeah I thought it I thought it kept 55:41 the the chat history image of a space 55:47 shuttle taken off from Cape canaval 55:50 looks like they're pulling some [ __ ] out 55:52 of the cloud here for 55:54 me uh um yeah that's this this is all 55:57 this is all stuff I had before so it's 55:59 it's keeping a chat history so that's 56:00 not right 56:03 oh better check number of members hang 56:06 on people this could be a big deal let's 56:10 go to 56:11 members let's go to 56:20 members 56:22 9.99 come on people 56:26 999 people we need one more member of 56:29 the AI Salon listen if you just got here 56:32 and you're not a member of the AI salon 56:33 wait I joined jrc number 1000 wait did 56:36 it just happen did it 56:38 happen you magical people 56:41 1000 we hit 1 we H I got an ice cream 56:46 and mark this down Ethan H so 57:08 Ethan H if you're on the if you're on 57:09 the thing tonight you're going to get a 57:11 free AI Salon t-shirt cuz W number a 57:15 thousand and then Bradley I think said 57:18 he was going to post something and show 57:20 and tell let's see if he did it let's 57:22 see how good Bradley is 57:24 yes 57:26 okay so here's what we want you to do 57:28 and we're going to do this in showand 57:30 tell tonight so so um three nights ago I 57:34 said Irregulars and and the AI learning 57:37 lab is going to now start sharing into 57:40 um irregular Channel but for tonight we 57:42 have a special special dispensation from 57:45 the from the AI Salon um 57:49 that we're going to do a challenge Okay 57:52 so we've hit a thousand members let's 57:54 celebrate we we hit get this um all here 57:57 together we we rolled it over live it 57:58 was it was happening live 58:00 people show us your creation celebrating 58:03 the salon reaching a thousand members so 58:06 so make something that you know mentions 58:08 the AI 58:09 Salon um make an image make AO song make 58:13 a 58:13 GPT um I I make anything make make an 58:17 app um make a I do something cool and 58:20 post it to show and tell 58:23 okay and then here's my other request is 58:27 post it to show and tell and then if you 58:29 want um post it out to um to uh whatever 58:34 you call it uh social medias and just 58:37 say congratulations to the AI salon and 58:39 here I'll teach you something cool in 58:41 the upper corner so you've got your your 58:44 profile in the upper right and then 58:46 you've got notifications and chats and 58:48 then this little icon the little dude 58:50 with the Plus on his shoulder click on 58:53 that and that's a link that's your 58:55 personal link so if you 58:58 share um the AI Salon out with the world 59:02 use that personal link and it will be 59:04 tagged to your account so you can 59:06 actually see who joined because of your 59:08 post which is super cool um okay awesome 59:12 congratulations big milestone that's 59:14 huge and this is I mean this is a big 59:16 deal the AI salon's been around for 59:18 about a year but we were on Discord for 59:20 most of that year about two months ago 2 59:23 and a half months ago we switched from 59:25 Discord to a web-based community 59:27 management tool and and that's what this 59:29 is so hitting a th here is a big deal it 59:32 cuz it took us it took us the better 59:35 part of a year to get to I think in 59:37 Discord we were up to like 950 or 59:39 something like that and so now we're now 59:42 we're at a thousand this says to me that 59:44 we made the right move moving this to 59:45 the web so oh there's new 59:48 activity oh that's beautiful the chat 59:51 GPT man sunno upbeat song from Sharon 59:54 menal 59:56 let's go let's go listen to a Sharon 59:58 menal song she She is all in on sunno 1:00:01 it's so flipping awesome this is 1:00:06 [Music] 1:00:06 [Applause] 1:00:10 [Music] 1:00:13 great 1:00:15 man 1:00:17 way teaching 1:00:20 [Music] 1:00:20 [Applause] 1:00:21 [Laughter] 1:00:24 ustin 1:00:26 it it sings my name I can't have it sing 1:00:29 my name no no it's embarrassing no I'm 1:00:32 not going to do 1:00:33 it that's great congratulations 1:00:36 everybody this is really awesome oh mini 1:00:39 champy that's so 1:00:42 cute all right cool um that's that's 1:00:45 really really awesome okay so just like 1:00:49 just like the 1:00:50 Hindenburg it's good 1:00:54 Joker 1:00:56 um okay ah sorry I've got a um an itch 1:01:03 on my back hold for one second 1:01:16 here okay I want to show you something 1:01:18 so Joy pie who's 1:01:21 a an outstanding irregular here 1:01:25 where is my there's co-pilot here it is 1:01:29 is this it yes okay so Joy py built a 1:01:34 site for Black History 1:01:37 Month and so it's it's all about you 1:01:41 know providing tools celebrating art and 1:01:45 using AI um to do it so the site is pry 1:01:50 jooy so P Ur d y joy.com if someone 1:01:56 could um type that in the comments and 1:01:59 then if one of the mods could pin it P 1:02:04 Dy 1:02:07 joy.com will take you here and it's just 1:02:10 a really cool site because there's art 1:02:12 galleries that show some of her art like 1:02:15 here's here's a bunch of gpts that 1:02:17 either she made or she's you know 1:02:19 providing links 1:02:21 to and then um 1:02:25 here's an art 1:02:27 gallery there's some of her dolly3 Art 1:02:30 here's some of her mid Journey 1:02:33 art which are just just so love those 1:02:37 cats what's happening cat yeah yeah 1:02:41 those are 1:02:42 great and then what's in gallery 1:02:45 3 image generation models oh for Black 1:02:49 History Month very cool click here to 1:02:52 learn about black and AI a nonprofit 1:02:53 organization for black professionals and 1:02:55 artificial intelligence color of change 1:02:59 well not not F exclusively focused on AI 1:03:02 color of change uses technology and 1:03:04 digital platforms to aduc advocate for 1:03:07 racial racial Justice and civil 1:03:09 rights super amazing black girls code 1:03:13 smith Smithsonian National Museum of 1:03:18 African-American what's it uh history 1:03:20 and culture um it's a beautiful Museum 1:03:25 so and then there's 1:03:27 gpts black and missing is an amazing 1:03:32 GPT Harmony helper very very cool and 1:03:36 then she's got a tools 1:03:38 section and if you click on the tools 1:03:41 section one of the things I noticed if 1:03:43 you're on here Joy 1:03:45 amazing um she starts out with a nod to 1:03:49 the to the AI learning lab and to the AI 1:03:51 salon and then provides links to the 1:03:53 tools that she's using on on the site 1:03:55 which is really cool um yeah so anyway 1:03:58 and then you can contact her so so I 1:04:00 thought that was great also thanks for 1:04:02 reminding me 1:04:04 in um let me go now to back to the salon 1:04:08 I'm going to go to in the salon down 1:04:11 under clubs there's a club called 1:04:13 weekend GPT 1:04:15 jams every Saturday from noon to two 1:04:20 Pacific Time Ann Murphy hosts so if you 1:04:24 don't know Murphy if you haven't been to 1:04:25 one of these she is an amazing woman 1:04:29 with like incredible energy incredible 1:04:31 focus and Incredibly kind heart and so 1:04:35 she she's putting on these GPT salons 1:04:37 for people to learn about gpts this 1:04:40 Saturday 1:04:43 um you're going to learn how to 1:04:46 incorporate build an API into your 1:04:50 GPT and I know I haven't gone over what 1:04:52 gpts are I'm just realizing that now but 1:04:54 wel welcome to Chad add that's how it 1:04:55 works around 1:04:57 here hugging faces using my call to 1:04:59 action links oh that's great Suzanne 1:05:02 well I I assume it's great but but maybe 1:05:06 listen your your SE your call to action 1:05:09 link suzan are 1:05:10 amazing um but this Saturday um you're 1:05:16 going to learn how to hook an API up to 1:05:19 your 1:05:20 GPT and then be able to make zappier 1:05:23 calls if you don't know what of that 1:05:25 means so so so basically you can get 1:05:28 your GPT to talk to other services like 1:05:31 for example if you wanted to create a 1:05:34 GPT that found um interesting spots to 1:05:37 go 1:05:38 hiking you could have your GPT drop a 1:05:41 pin on a map if you connected it to the 1:05:46 Google Maps API through 1:05:48 zapier um and that's what you're going 1:05:50 to learn to do on Saturday so join the 1:05:52 AI Salon which is now a thousand people 1:05:55 strong probably even more than that now 1:05:57 which is 1:05:58 amazing um and then and then go to 1:06:00 weekend GPT jams and and request entry 1:06:03 into that and an if you're nice to her 1:06:07 will let you in you have to be nice to 1:06:09 an you have to be nice let's go back to 1:06:12 our values people come on 1:06:14 people 1:06:19 values curiosity generosity exploration 1:06:23 collaboration inclusion and empathy do 1:06:26 you know what that spells out when you 1:06:28 when you when you put all the first 1:06:29 letters together don't be a douche don't 1:06:32 be a dick be nice be nice be 1:06:37 nice Anna is so mean kidding everyone 1:06:40 gets in mean or 1:06:43 nice I'm a lovely person exactly you are 1:06:48 a human being you are a lovely person um 1:06:52 but 1:06:53 yeah 1:06:55 these values are actually really 1:06:57 important to me and it it really does 1:06:58 come down to like just be a good human 1:07:00 being come in here like learn get 1:07:02 curious explore share the level of 1:07:05 generosity in this community and these 1:07:07 subc communities like Ann's group is 1:07:10 actually she's got people from the salon 1:07:13 people from Rachel Woods um um AI 1:07:17 exchange and and some other group and 1:07:19 and like all these people are coming in 1:07:21 from all these different communities and 1:07:23 collaborating on this weekend Saturday 1:07:25 Jam it's just amazing so so that's what 1:07:28 the salon's all about is is stuff like 1:07:31 that and the other thing you should 1:07:32 check out in the salon are the guilds so 1:07:35 we've got um Peter Kaminsky runs the AI 1:07:38 1011 Guild I I I'm increasingly feeling 1:07:42 blessed that we have Peter Kaminsky as a 1:07:44 part of this community he's really an 1:07:45 amazing man he's very gentle he's very 1:07:48 patient he's super passionate about 1:07:50 community and teaching and getting 1:07:53 people up to speed on stuff so if you 1:07:54 ever get stuck on anything you know 1:07:57 connect with Peter and and go look at 1:07:59 what he's got going on in there and then 1:08:00 we've got an Art Guild and a writer's 1:08:01 Guild Jane and Leah right now are 1:08:03 cooking up a really cool um program um 1:08:07 Ken and Brad are doing the same for 1:08:09 business um P's AI mechanics Guild will 1:08:12 help you understand things that you 1:08:14 didn't think you needed to understand 1:08:16 but are amazing there's a healthc care 1:08:18 Guild a video Guild and an education 1:08:20 Guild so the guilds are where a lot of 1:08:23 the actions happening where people are 1:08:24 creating sub communities Joy P pie your 1:08:27 site is amazing isn't it amazing an it's 1:08:30 so beautiful like it's just it's 1:08:31 beautiful art it's so yeah go 1:13:49 introduce yourself um and then there's a 1:13:51 water cooler section where you can just 1:13:53 talk about any any old thing there's a 1:13:54 show and tell section where people are 1:13:56 sharing songs and gpts and pictures 1:14:00 celebrating our thousandth member which 1:14:02 is super awesome um there's a news 1:14:04 channel there's AI tools and resources 1:14:07 which allows you 1:14:09 to find a whole bunch of stuff that is I 1:14:14 promise you is not going to waste your 1:14:18 time go to the salon. a first link in 1:14:21 the link tree yep that's it all right so 1:14:24 all that stuff's there and then you also 1:14:25 have guilds so that's how you join the 1:14:27 salon and it really is I mean it the the 1:14:29 the quality of people it was funny I was 1:14:33 talking to Leah the the woman that I 1:14:34 co-founded the salon with last year or 1:14:38 no the year before and in December of 22 1:14:41 is when we started this um I was talking 1:14:44 to her about this and we were talking 1:14:46 about you know the values and and 1:14:48 scaling the community and things like 1:14:50 that and I was really thinking about it 1:14:53 oh it was me oh awesome Wen Vance that's 1:14:56 awesome we got to so I know you have a 1:15:00 name in cerlic I don't know where you 1:15:01 live we we might have to do some 1:15:03 International Shi shipping 1:15:11 here that's awesome 1:15:14 um what was I talking about I got I got 1:15:17 distracted with with people that are 1:15:19 that are uh that are winning t-shirts 1:15:22 I'm I'm really excited about it 1:15:25 um anyway so so yeah so that's that's 1:15:27 the salon you should you should be a 1:15:28 part of the salon you should absolutely 1:15:30 be a part of the salon and uh and check 1:15:33 out the guilds and check out everything 1:15:35 oh oh what I was talking with Leah so we 1:15:37 were talking about this I there is 1:15:39 something about this community I'm in a 1:15:42 a fair amount of online community I was 1:15:44 going to say a lot I'm not in a lot but 1:15:46 I've been in a fair 1:15:48 amount it is very rare to have an online 1:15:53 community that that is this supportive 1:15:55 this compassionate this generous this 1:15:58 smart this curious and ambitious and 1:16:02 like all that stuff like all those 1:16:03 values we read They're not just like 1:16:05 like you know words words on an image 1:16:08 they exist because that's who this group 1:16:10 was when it was small and as we've been 1:16:13 scaling 1:16:15 it the members have essentially held 1:16:19 each other to task living up to those 1:16:22 values and so as we've grown it's it 1:16:25 there's just something really special 1:16:26 about this group um that's very rare so 1:16:30 um so it's it's why when I like I want 1:16:33 to grow the group I want there to be a 1:16:35 lot of people in it but I also want 1:16:37 people to to really understand what 1:16:40 we're trying to do and really understand 1:16:42 the kind of people that are in here and 1:16:44 if you don't resonate with these values 1:16:46 that's cool but this is not your people 1:16:49 and if you do it's this is going to be 1:16:51 an amazing group for you it really is 1:16:54 something it's optimistic there's it's 1:16:57 not Shamy it's not judgy it's not trolly 1:17:01 and and I'm really hoping we can keep it 1:17:03 that way so my request is you know do 1:17:06 that I think you were going to talk 1:17:07 about gpts not sure the angle but that 1:17:10 was the direction I 1:17:11 was thank you so so so as as Zippy zambo 1:17:17 um has discovered here at the AI 1:17:19 learning lab they don't call it Chad add 1:17:22 for nothing so if I've said I'm going to 1:17:24 do something and then 45 minutes later I 1:17:27 haven't done it just tell me and the 1:17:28 mods will pin it and I'll I'll cop out 1:17:30 I'll cop to it and say yeah I missed 1:17:33 that one fine we'll go do it now and 1:17:36 then we'll go do it okay 1:17:39 so what gpts 1:17:42 are are specialized customized versions 1:17:46 of chat GPT that anyone can make I'll 1:17:49 make one 1:17:51 here they are so ridiculous ridiculously 1:17:54 easy to make it's kind of 1:17:57 crazy um so how you find them if you're 1:18:01 at chat GPT you click on explore gpts 1:18:05 and that will take you to what open 1:18:07 AI 1:18:10 um inaccurately calls the GPT store this 1:18:14 is sort of a directory it's it's really 1:18:16 crappy right now hopefully it gets 1:18:18 better I wonder if they fixed it at all 1:18:21 let me see if they've they've added no 1:18:23 they still only have they they they have 1:18:25 up to 12 gpts per section and they have 1:18:28 seven sections and a crappy search 1:18:30 engine um but you know you can you can 1:18:33 search for gpts by maker you can search 1:18:36 for gpts by name of the 1:18:39 GPT um you can search by topic um 1:18:42 hashtag things like that um and then if 1:18:46 I go to gpts the one I like to show is 1:18:49 is why I like to show it is this was the 1:18:52 very first GP I ever made and similar to 1:18:55 how we cracked a th000 tonight we were 1:18:58 live on the night that GP that that I 1:19:00 gained access to gpts so I didn't have 1:19:04 access to it and then all of a sudden my 1:19:05 interface changed and I did have access 1:19:07 to it so this was the very first GPT I 1:19:10 made I made it live on air there's no 1:19:12 manuals for the thing and I said oh 1:19:15 let's go try to make one of these and 1:19:17 within about 10 minutes I had made 1:19:20 this and it it blew my mind I mean I've 1:19:23 zapier before I've I've made a bunch of 1:19:25 bots on 1:19:27 PO like doing those things are not that 1:19:30 hard like any anyone can figure it out 1:19:32 if you're willing to put in the time and 1:19:33 learn the 1:19:34 interfaces this is ridiculously simple 1:19:37 this is truly no 1:19:39 code and so what a GPT is is what this 1:19:43 what Sin City sipper is it's a Vegas 1:19:45 bartender with a Twist on the classics 1:19:47 and it it will um help you invent um 1:19:51 drink ideas cocktail ideas and then and 1:19:54 then um so someone stated on one of the 1:19:56 lives oh you should you should make 1:19:58 another one that makes mocktails so I 1:20:01 made one of the um one of the preloaded 1:20:03 prompts here I'm a tea Toler make me a 1:20:05 classy mocktail so you can do cocktails 1:20:08 or mocktails here at the Sin City sipper 1:20:11 um and then let's do show me a new 1:20:14 fangled 1:20:15 old-fashioned so I'm going to click on 1:20:17 that you can ask it to make drinks for 1:20:19 holidays you can ask it to make drinks 1:20:22 for a a theme party um if you're 1:20:25 starting a bar you could just have it 1:20:27 make a bunch of cool drinks and it's 1:20:29 it's good at what it does so let's see 1:20:32 this is the Vegas Gold Rush which is a 1:20:34 great name oldfashioned the Vegas Gold 1:20:36 Rush oldfashioned great 2 O of bourbon a 1:20:40 high Rye bourbon for a spicy kick half 1:20:43 ounce of honey syrup which is equal 1:20:45 parts honey and warm water uh angor 1:20:48 bitters orange bitters splash of 1:20:51 sparkling water large Ice Cube orange 1:20:54 peel and a cherry for garnish and then 1:20:56 what this thing does is then makes you a 1:20:58 picture of the drink look at that like 1:21:01 you could put that right in right in a a 1:21:05 a uh a menu for for a thing it's it's 1:21:09 gorgeous um and then it it does a call 1:21:13 to action where it says you know this 1:21:14 was produced by the AI Salon um so you 1:21:17 can have these things make actions but 1:21:19 that's what a GPT is okay now how do you 1:21:22 make one 1:21:24 it's it's silly simple it's silly simple 1:21:27 it's not obvious cuz cuz all these tools 1:21:30 right now are janky pieces of [ __ ] uh 1:21:32 what if I'm out of bourbon that is a sad 1:21:34 day that is a sad day in the earth 1:21:36 rocker 1:21:38 household wow I love it okay cool so 1:21:41 here's how you make your own 1:21:43 GPT in the upper right hand corner of 1:21:45 the explore GPT page is the create 1:21:48 button and when you say create you you 1:21:51 land on this page where on the right 1:21:53 side it says preview on the left side it 1:21:54 says configure and then there's also a 1:21:56 button that says create so I'm going to 1:21:58 flip over to create for a second create 1:22:01 you can literally just ask it to make 1:22:03 you a GPT with no coding and that's what 1:22:05 we're going to do but I'm going to 1:22:06 explain what's in configure so in 1:22:09 configure we're going to create an image 1:22:12 for the GPT so we got a nice little 1:22:14 picture we're going to give it a name a 1:22:16 description then we're going to give it 1:22:18 the prompt itself conversation starters 1:22:21 are like those pre-written questions so 1:22:23 we're going to give it some of 1:22:25 those knowledge is you can upload your 1:22:29 own data and have this GPT trained on 1:22:31 your own data so let's say that you have 1:22:34 a 1:22:35 PDF you know like a Word document of 1:22:39 your I don't know your your Gardening 1:22:43 Guide you could make a GPT about your 1:22:47 Gardening Guide and just tell it only 1:22:49 use this Gardening Guide for your 1:22:51 knowledge base right and 1:22:54 so that this this little feature in and 1:22:57 of itself makes these things remarkably 1:23:01 powerful right because you can take some 1:23:03 piece of proprietary data that you've 1:23:05 got and turn that into something that 1:23:08 can give other people value and drive 1:23:10 business or activity back to 1:23:13 you um you can also turn on or off 1:23:16 different capabilities within gp4 1:23:18 including web browsing image generation 1:23:21 and this thing called code interpreter 1:23:23 and then you can also create an action 1:23:25 and what an action is is when you 1:23:27 connect your GPT to an outside service 1:23:30 and so tomorrow at an Murphy's GPT Jam 1:23:34 that's what we're going to be learning 1:23:35 how to do connecting it to zapier super 1:23:38 cool okay but that's all geeky right 1:23:43 that's all like but K I don't know how 1:23:45 to do any of that this is very confusing 1:23:47 what are you talking about Rebecca sfca 1:23:50 you're going to try this perfect here's 1:23:52 what we're going to do Rebecca 1:23:53 F just follow along do it with me and 1:23:55 and like you come up with your concept 1:23:57 but this is it 1:24:00 um all right so I'm GNA come up with a 1:24:03 oh I got an idea okay okay 1:24:10 um I want to create a 1:24:21 GPT 1:24:25 that will create a 1:24:29 fictitious 1:24:33 place after asking 1:24:39 someone how they're feeling 1:24:44 period the place should 1:24:47 embody their emotional reality and after 1:24:50 you 1:24:51 explain the new 1:24:54 world you should make a fantasy 1:24:59 map of that world automatically without 1:25:03 asking 1:25:06 them okay 1:25:08 so the the talking that I just did I'm 1:25:11 just using an accessibility thing within 1:25:13 my Mac you can if you've got a Mac you 1:25:14 can turn it on it's not a special GPT 1:25:16 thing um but what I put there is like 1:25:21 this is this is all it takes like you 1:25:24 literally just say I want a GPT that 1:25:26 does this and then you hit submit and 1:25:30 we're essentially done now we're going 1:25:33 to refine this we're going to give it a 1:25:34 picture we're going to give it a name we 1:25:36 might modify some of the starter 1:25:37 questions we might give it some new 1:25:39 rules but what this thing's doing right 1:25:41 now see it says GPT Builder is updating 1:25:43 the 1:25:44 GPT how about emotion Craft um let's 1:25:50 no it's a world 1:25:54 Builder about emotions give me 10 names 1:25:58 that 1:25:59 incorporate the main 1:26:10 Concepts emotion 1:26:12 Atlas sentimental 1:26:15 worlds heartscape architect it's not bad 1:26:20 mood mood we'll just call it mood mapper 1:26:23 all right let's go with 1:26:26 mood go with mood 1:26:40 mapper and so now it's it liked my mood 1:26:44 mapper thing now it's generating a 1:26:45 profile picture pin it to see what he 1:26:48 thinks all right pin 1:26:51 away 1:26:53 oh that's a beautiful I I I love that 1:26:57 that image it made normally I kind of 1:26:59 hate the images that one's 1:27:02 gorgeous okay creates worlds from 1:27:04 emotions and Maps them um I'm going to 1:27:08 say feeling 1:27:15 blue imagine a world shaped by the 1:27:17 essence of feeling blue we find 1:27:19 ourselves in the land of azuria realm 1:27:22 where the skies stretch endlessly into a 1:27:25 vast canvas of deep blues and soft 1:27:27 indigos mirroring your current emotions 1:27:29 the air is crisp and right so it's given 1:27:32 us this lovely world taking us out of 1:27:33 our 1:27:35 head night in Azura brings a sky filled 1:27:38 with 1:27:39 stars and look creating an 1:27:44 image now let's bring this world to 1:27:47 visual Life by creating a fantasy map of 1:27:49 azua ensuring its Essence in the 1:27:52 emotions that that inspired 1:27:54 it how cool is 1:27:57 this look at that it's not really a map 1:28:00 but it's [ __ ] 1:28:02 gorgeous that's Aura yeah beautiful like 1:28:07 come 1:28:08 on and and this is this is why so so one 1:28:14 of the things happened oh let let me let 1:28:16 me just let's go ahead and I want to do 1:28:20 two other things with this um I'm going 1:28:22 to go to the configure 1:28:24 tab I like the name I like creates the 1:28:28 worlds um I don't like these stter 1:28:31 questions because it says how are you 1:28:33 feeling today so what it's done is it's 1:28:36 written these questions as if it's 1:28:37 asking me that but when you click on 1:28:39 that it's as if you're asking it that 1:28:42 and so it'll say like oh I'm feeling 1:28:44 okay how are you feeling today so we 1:28:46 don't want to ask it how it's feeling we 1:28:49 want to 1:28:50 say um let's get rid of all of these 1:28:52 we're going to start with a single uh 1:28:55 statement or question what do we want it 1:28:57 to be we'll say 1:29:00 um 1:29:02 um I'm 1:29:05 ready dot dot dot and then so what we're 1:29:08 going to do is we're going to go to our 1:29:11 prompt 1:29:13 and we're going to go to the bottom of 1:29:15 it and say 1:29:19 follow these rules 1:29:24 and then I'm going to say I'm going to 1:29:26 put a bullet point in front of it 1:29:28 because just I think structure sometimes 1:29:30 helps I'm going to say 1:29:34 um 1:29:36 when 1:29:38 some someone 1:29:42 says I'm 1:29:48 ready ask them to tell you how they are 1:29:58 feeling and 1:30:02 what 1:30:05 the main emotion 1:30:11 is all right so we're given a little a 1:30:14 little task to do 1:30:17 there and then the other thing I'm going 1:30:19 to do I'm going to turn off web 1:30:20 browsing because I want this to be Pure 1:30:23 Fantasy 1:30:25 World and then I'm going to also add a 1:30:28 rule that says 1:30:32 um the 1:30:38 world's should 1:30:44 always 1:30:49 um lift and inspire 1:30:54 someone and make them want to enter that 1:30:59 world so we'll give it a little bit of 1:31:02 kind of emotional 1:31:05 Edge and then like any changes that we 1:31:09 make here here are instantly available 1:31:11 over on the right so I'm just going to 1:31:12 okay I'm ready so I'm going to click I'm 1:31:14 ready and then it should ask me my 1:31:16 emotion great please tell me how you're 1:31:18 feeling right now and what the main 1:31:20 emotion is you're experiencing 1:31:23 I'm 1:31:25 feeling 1:31:28 deep 1:31:31 gratitude for the 1:31:34 people who Inspire and support me which 1:31:39 is all of 1:31:41 you in a realm where the essence of deep 1:31:43 gratitude radiates let's see it's called 1:31:47 grati 1:31:48 gratias 1:31:50 gratias gratier 1:31:53 landscape it's the land of 1:31:56 gratitude the harmony Woods 1:31:59 border the fields of a dense forest of 1:32:02 silver leaves whisper the tales of 1:32:04 inspiration what's cool about this is 1:32:06 the way it's describing the world it's 1:32:08 it's actually you know high above the 1:32:10 sky Bridges weave between the mountain 1:32:12 tops it's putting a lot of visuals in 1:32:15 here that it's going to then likely 1:32:16 incorporate into the 1:32:18 map and then I'll show you how we're 1:32:20 going to share this with the world 1:32:21 you're going to be able to go play with 1:32:23 mood mapper oh that's so cool look at 1:32:26 that there's the sky 1:32:29 Bridges oh it's so cool look at 1:32:33 that this is a good one I [ __ ] love 1:32:35 doing these things okay so how you share 1:32:39 this with the world you you click the 1:32:41 save button you can you can publish it 1:32:43 just for yourself you can publish it 1:32:45 that anyone who has the link can use it 1:32:47 or you can publish it where everyone can 1:32:49 use it and let's be honest everyone with 1:32:51 Chad GPT 4 that's still a requirement 1:32:54 and if you're like but Kyle that's 1:32:56 stupid yes I 1:32:58 agree um I'm going to save this as a do 1:33:02 um in the do category because we're it 1:33:05 we're using uh do so I'm going to 1:33:08 confirm 1:33:10 this now some other things you could do 1:33:13 to to modify this how do I change it 1:33:16 from Community Builder to your name uh 1:33:17 really good thing okay so when you go to 1:33:22 [Music] 1:33:25 um your you go to your name in the lower 1:33:28 left and you go to settings and and 1:33:31 beta and then at the bottom of these 1:33:33 settings there's this thing called 1:33:35 Builder profile and then you either have 1:33:38 to um use your your name so this is the 1:33:41 name that shows up on your billing 1:33:43 account or you can have a 1:33:47 domain so so I've got Kyle shannon.com 1:33:50 if I wanted to to validate that 1:33:53 domain um 1:33:57 you well here's yeah here's Kyle 1:33:59 shannon.com so if I wanted to verify 1:34:01 Kyle shannon.com I say verify it creates 1:34:04 this code and then what you have to do 1:34:06 is you actually have to go to um your 1:34:10 DNS your do domain name server and 1:34:13 create a txt record and paste that into 1:34:16 it and then after about I don't know 20 1:34:19 minutes or so it should update and then 1:34:21 you be validated so you either have to 1:34:23 to say I want to turn on my name and 1:34:26 then it'll say by Kyle Shannon in my 1:34:28 case or I want to validate a website so 1:34:30 that's how you get it to change from 1:34:31 Community profile now um as 1:34:36 of three four weeks ago there was a bug 1:34:39 where some people couldn't get out of 1:34:42 community Builder mode um I don't know 1:34:45 if they fixed that or not I hope they 1:34:47 have but anyway you can now go if you go 1:34:51 to to explore gpts and you search for 1:34:54 mood 1:34:55 mapper you will see the GPT we just 1:34:59 created here together 1:35:01 mood mood mapper by Kyle Shannon it's 1:35:04 got zero uses so please how many people 1:35:07 are in here7 people in here some 1:35:10 percentage of you it's probably like 1:35:11 half or more have GPT 4 go to explore 1:35:15 gpts search for mood mapper make 1:35:19 yourself a fantasy map and then go back 1:35:21 there and search for Sin City sipper I 1:35:23 want to turn Sin City sipper into a 1:35:26 hit um one of the other questions I get 1:35:29 a lot about gpts is you can make money 1:35:33 with GP how can we make money with these 1:35:36 things how hey cow cow cow cow cow cow 1:35:41 cow cow cow what cow 1:35:46 what how do we make 1:35:50 M um 1:35:52 so dear old Sam 1:35:55 Alman if you don't know who he is he's a 1:35:57 fine Feller he's a fine Feller he had a 1:36:00 rough patch there for for a bit he's 1:36:03 okay now things are good he's got 1:36:05 married he's he's he's back on the back 1:36:08 on the wagon he and I have a 1:36:10 little but you 1:36:14 know was I talking about oh making money 1:36:17 with chat GPT so so so Ye Old Sam Alman 1:36:20 back in November when he said hey we got 1:36:22 these things called gpts and everyone 1:36:23 was like woo that's fantastic he said 1:36:25 we're going to launch this thing called 1:36:27 the GPT store and then we're going to do 1:36:29 rev sharing and you can make money 1:36:32 with and then they fired 1:36:35 him and then they delayed the launch of 1:36:37 the web the GPT store and then they 1:36:41 launched it like three weeks ago two 1:36:42 weeks ago and it's a piece of poop and 1:36:45 they didn't even mention like at all 1:36:47 anything about the Rev sharing and 1:36:49 there's there's nothing on this store at 1:36:52 all that indicates that it's a store and 1:36:54 you can't actually buy a 1:36:56 GPT what you buy is the $20 subscription 1:36:59 to gp4 and then you can use them all 1:37:01 they don't even make that 1:37:04 clear so that is what we call in the 1:37:08 business a huge 1:37:13 disappointment 1:37:14 and it's a janky piece of [ __ ] because 1:37:17 of that like they didn't even what's 1:37:20 going on all right I don't know 1:37:22 something's 1:37:23 happening 1:37:32 wait oh cool Silver Fox I'll go check 1:37:35 that out all right cool um so there's a 1:37:38 couple of ways that you can make money 1:37:40 with chat GPT with with with gpts so you 1:37:43 can share these 1:37:44 things you do have a limited audience 1:37:46 because it's only people with GPT 4 but 1:37:49 it's probably north of a million at this 1:37:51 point 1:37:53 and don't get your hopes up that lots of 1:37:55 people are going to use your GPT but 1:37:59 like anything in life if you Market it 1:38:01 well and promote it well you can get 1:38:04 people to use it in an's GPT group 1:38:08 there's a mother daughter pair that show 1:38:10 up to that GPT group they're both 1:38:12 remarkable the mother put together a GPT 1:38:15 where she put her affiliate links for 1:38:17 something like I don't know what the GPT 1:38:18 did I think it talked about the produ 1:38:20 products and then there were calls to 1:38:22 action that included her affiliate link 1:38:25 apparently as of like three weeks ago 1:38:29 her mother made like 1:38:31 $30,000 in affiliate sales using this 1:38:35 GPT I don't know what the [ __ ] she did I 1:38:37 we should find out and an probably knows 1:38:40 but and we could we could ask but holy 1:38:42 [ __ ] so so you can put affiliate links 1:38:45 in it if you've got a service or if 1:38:48 you've got a a business you you can you 1:38:52 know give out a GPT that helps people in 1:38:54 some way or lets them do something cool 1:38:56 and then at the end of it say hey this 1:38:58 GPT was presented by this business click 1:39:01 here to learn more and it'll take them 1:39:02 to your 1:39:03 website one of the other things you 1:39:05 could potentially do is have your GPT 1:39:09 just for just shared with people of the 1:39:11 link only don't share it 1:39:13 publicly and then you could put that 1:39:15 link behind a pay wall now there's no 1:39:18 way to validate that someone got behind 1:39:21 the pay wall and block them from just 1:39:24 sharing that link with someone else like 1:39:27 these things are really janky right now 1:39:29 so just accept the Jank celebrate the 1:39:32 Jank and just get creative about how you 1:39:35 do it U I made the valley of auroras in 1:39:38 mood mapper that's awesome Rebel the 1:39:40 valley of auroras that's so cool so 1:39:43 Rebel do me a favor share that and show 1:39:44 and 1:39:45 tell actually that's a great idea um so 1:39:49 so any of the uh any of the things that 1:39:52 the the maps that you make in 1:39:55 um in mood mapper drop them drop them in 1:39:58 Show and Tell CU they seems to be making 1:40:00 some pretty pretty things because of 1:40:03 it's describing them really beautifully 1:40:05 so I can't wait to join the GPT weekend 1:40:08 tomorrow I know Megan it's it it's a 1:40:10 really good group that's a that's a 1:40:12 super good group mood mapper image is in 1:40:14 Show and Tell cool thank you let's go 1:40:17 let's go look at Show and Tell shall we 1:40:19 we'll go see some more um 1:40:23 thousand thousand members let's see how 1:40:25 many members we're up to think we got 1:40:27 more 1:40:28 members did we get more members people 1:40:33 106 oh 1:40:35 yeah very cool very cool very cool very 1:40:38 cool I'm tired but enthused the Twilight 1:40:42 Vigor wow that's gorgeous 1:40:45 damn this mood mapper I'm all about 1:40:50 it gorgeous way to go 1:40:54 Pablo the mood 1:40:57 mapper so cool 1:41:00 hope way you go Mr it the meadow of 1:41:05 Enlightenment or the medio of 1:41:09 Enlightenment the Sea of Whispers The 1:41:11 Sea of clarity so 1:41:15 cool wow oh who did that Rachel 1:41:19 Sparkles the map of a world that mirrors 1:41:22 your jovial and sparkly feelings it's a 1:41:25 realm where every corner is alive with 1:41:27 joy holy damn that's 1:41:32 gorgeous oh and here's another thing 1:41:35 next 1:41:37 time next time someone some cynic in 1:41:40 your life goes you know the these these 1:41:43 uh these these AIS they're just 1:41:45 probability engines they don't do 1:41:47 anything 1:41:49 creative just remember this moment 1:41:51 moment remember that in what was it 10 1:41:56 15 minutes we put together this thing 1:41:58 just out of a brain fart of an idea of 1:42:01 like let's let's turn how we're feeling 1:42:05 emotionally into a fantasy world to take 1:42:07 us away and then make a picture from it 1:42:09 and then we put that in the world and 1:42:11 then all of you are going in there and 1:42:13 just popping into the GPT and doing this 1:42:15 and it's you you tell me this isn't 1:42:18 creative you tell me this is plagiarism 1:42:21 that this is oh The mocktail Cove that's 1:42:23 great look at that I mean come on 1:42:27 congrats a isilon oh that's so good Kim 1:42:29 kin 1:42:30 beautiful wow that's gorgeous who did 1:42:32 that Danielle killing 1:42:35 it Sin City sipper I love 1:42:39 it all right this is 1:42:42 [Laughter] 1:42:45 great look I bet that door is rated to 1:42:47 hold a thousand is that joker oh it's 1:42:50 digital gods digital gods and Joker 1:42:52 they're going they're they're going back 1:42:54 and forth 1:42:56 10,000 Steven wilger he he's he's up for 1:42:59 our next 1:43:00 Milestone oh man this is 1:43:03 great super great um let's go look at a 1:43:06 couple of more mood mappers in the 1:43:10 realm of of suent Hope a tranquil World 1:43:14 unfolds wow that's cool oh my God these 1:43:16 are 1:43:17 gorgeous I was expecting these to be 1:43:20 more map-like than the fact that there 1:43:21 this weird combination between a map and 1:43:23 a 3D world is 1:43:26 just 1:43:27 gorgeous oo wow Lisa 1:43:32 gorgeous Dolly cosmic 1:43:36 eye yeah these are just probability 1:43:38 engines they're not creative 1:43:41 yeah try not to be inspired when you do 1:43:44 stuff like this you can't I mean that's 1:43:46 that's the thing you know what's so 1:43:48 funny about this AI [ __ ] is if you sit 1:43:50 on the sideline 1:44:00 it's really easy to [ __ ] all over this 1:44:04 stuff like I was on that panel last 1:44:06 night and you know 10:43 p.m shut 1:44:10 up when I was on the the panel last 1:44:13 night like before we went 1:44:16 on you know there were a bunch of people 1:44:19 just [ __ ] all over Ai and people 1:44:21 that don't really use it either don't 1:44:22 use it at all or just use it a little 1:44:25 bit it's really easy to [ __ ] on right 1:44:28 it's really easy to point out the flaws 1:44:30 of it it's really easy to go oh it 1:44:33 doesn't do this and it doesn't do this 1:44:34 and it's not secure and 1:44:38 it's and that's how they all sound by 1:44:41 the way I don't know what it is about 1:44:43 people that sit on the sidelines but to 1:44:46 a person man or woman this is what they 1:44:49 sound like Kyle you know today I 1:44:53 [Music] 1:44:56 I don't know 1:44:59 why it's cuz they're not in life they're 1:45:02 on the [ __ ] Sidelines so it's really 1:45:05 easy to pick 1:45:07 on but if you get curious and if you get 1:45:11 adventurous and you just start 1:45:14 playing the reason I encourage people to 1:45:17 play and play and play and play and dick 1:45:20 around 1:45:22 like a lot of these gpts I make are just 1:45:25 stupid ideas right and some of them end 1:45:28 up being really 1:45:30 cool 1:45:32 and why you 1:45:35 play is so that if it [ __ ] something up 1:45:40 it doesn't cost you anything but you 1:45:43 learn where the boundary is of quality 1:45:46 right you learn oh I can sort of push it 1:45:48 up to this point and it's okay but it it 1:45:51 really breaks here you're like okay and 1:45:54 you file that away and then you push it 1:45:56 another place oh that's really good and 1:45:58 but then it breaks there oh there's 1:46:00 another boundary right so by playing 1:46:03 we're we're increasingly sort of 1:46:04 figuring out what's the field of play 1:46:06 we're 1:46:07 in if you understand what these things 1:46:10 can do and cannot 1:46:13 do then you've got boundaries that you 1:46:16 can play Within and you can do 1:46:18 remarkable [ __ ] in here 1:46:22 and then what we're going to understand 1:46:23 because we understand the boundaries of 1:46:26 our playing 1:46:28 field is that when those boundaries 1:46:30 expand when these tools get better we're 1:46:32 going to know exactly what to do with 1:46:34 them we're going to go o that's a new 1:46:36 boundary it couldn't do before that 1:46:38 happened to this group when none of the 1:46:40 image tools could make any words and 1:46:43 then all of a sudden ideogram came out 1:46:45 and could make words and then like three 1:46:47 weeks after that Dolly 3 came out and 1:46:49 could make words and now Bard can make 1:46:52 words and now stable diffusion's got a 1:46:54 bunch of models that can make 1:46:56 words can you try my friend's GPT it's 1:46:59 funny what's my dog thinking okay we go 1:47:02 look at what's my dog thinking that 1:47:04 sounds funny and and that's I I mean the 1:47:07 gpts also a lot of them have this 1:47:10 [ __ ] sense of joy in them what's my 1:47:13 dog thinking it's a it's a really good 1:47:16 name my 1:47:19 dog what's my dog thinking and then the 1:47:23 other one was what did my dog say 1:47:24 creating humorous dog thoughts based on 1:47:27 photos oh okay hang on I wonder if I've 1:47:30 got hang 1:47:39 on there's a champy oh yeah I just took 1:47:42 this picture the other day look at this 1:47:44 one I 1:47:46 did that that one he was just sitting 1:47:49 there looking out the window of the head 1:47:51 on the on the couch look at that dumb 1:48:02 dumb okay so we're gonna we're okay 1:48:05 that's good he's looking off to the side 1:48:08 okay we're GNA export this we'll call it 1:48:17 champ desktop so champ goes to the 1:48:19 desktop and then we go back over here 1:48:22 let's see we're going to upload a 1:48:27 picture of champ and then and then say 1:48:31 what's my dog thinking in this photo oh 1:48:33 it didn't upload it I'm ready to 1:48:35 interpret your photo can you please 1:48:36 upload one 1:48:47 yes look at that dumb dumb look at that 1:48:50 big 1:48:55 card he's the best pause for thought 1:48:59 when you said let's hit the couch for 1:49:00 some Netflix and chill I didn't realize 1:49:02 we'd actually just be chilling but hey 1:49:05 The Comfy laundry pile 10 out of 10 1:49:07 would recommend Tails wagging until next 1:49:10 time oh that's [ __ ] 1:49:12 genius that's [ __ ] 1:49:18 genius oh so good 1:49:22 what's my dog 1:49:23 thinking oh 1:49:27 man 1:49:28 um so you so you play with this 1:49:32 stuff and you learn what it can do and 1:49:34 you learn what it can't do and 1:49:39 then if you can get yourself out of the 1:49:42 cynical if you can get yourself out of 1:49:45 it's not 1:49:47 perfect that if you if you stop making 1:49:50 that face 1:49:54 face an amazing thing happens if you 1:49:57 start hanging out in the AI Salon an 1:49:59 amazing thing happens when you start 1:50:01 hanging out with other people that are 1:50:03 like oh I tried this and it did that and 1:50:06 that's really cool oh I tried this oh I 1:50:08 took the two things you did and I put 1:50:09 that in the third thing and now I did 1:50:11 this oh that's really this amazing thing 1:50:14 starts to happen 1:50:19 where I won't say you I where 1:50:23 I am discovering a joy a 1:50:26 joyfulness in creativity that's 1:50:30 childlike and it's something I'm 1:50:32 consistently hearing from people in this 1:50:36 community um Source Camp said it best we 1:50:38 we were on a call Friday I 1:50:41 think and she said she's got the 1:50:43 Creative Energy of when she was like 1:50:45 five or 1:50:47 eight and I was like yeah that's it 1:50:49 that's it remember when you were five or 1:50:52 eight before the world smashed your soul 1:50:54 into a crunchy little ball and threw it 1:50:57 in the 1:50:58 corner remember what that was like 1:51:01 probably not cuz they smashed your soul 1:51:03 and crunched it into a ball and threw it 1:51:06 in the 1:51:07 corner but it's when you look at the 1:51:09 world and you're like oh I could do that 1:51:11 I want to do 1:51:13 that everything seems 1:51:16 possible if you can get out of that 1:51:18 cynical sideline 1:51:21 posture with 1:51:23 AI and just play with it and learn what 1:51:26 it is and what it's not and don't try to 1:51:30 make it more than what it is right now 1:51:32 these tools 1:51:34 suck and they're the most profoundly 1:51:37 powerful tools in the history of 1:51:40 humanity they're 1:51:43 both and so when people get all cynical 1:51:46 and tell you that their pieces of [ __ ] 1:51:47 and it's a waste of your time just smile 1:51:50 and go I know it's scary right want to 1:51:53 see something 1:51:55 cool and blow their [ __ ] 1:52:00 minds yeah I get that you're angry yeah 1:52:02 yeah it's not really how they work but I 1:52:04 totally totally understand the anger 1:52:06 want to see something 1:52:11 cool cuz I'll tell you what the people 1:52:14 that are sitting on the sidelines when 1:52:16 they have their Kevin McAllister 1:52:19 moment they become the biggest 1:52:21 evangelists for this [ __ ] I see it time 1:52:24 and 1:52:25 again oh it was pretty shitty but then I 1:52:28 and then I thought it was pretty good 1:52:30 and then and then I tried this thing 1:52:32 that and I was like oh 1:52:35 [ __ ] and then they're the ones that are 1:52:38 you know insufferable like 1:52:42 me I'm so into this stuff I started a 1:52:45 [ __ ] Tik Tok Channel at 1:52:47 58 cuz I know how to make good life 1:52:49 decisions 1:52:56 I know I'll commit for a year to going 1:53:00 live seven nights a week on Tik 1:53:08 Tok I'm glad I 1:53:11 did you're super right about just having 1:53:13 fun in a light-hearted way yeah exactly 1:53:19 like 1:53:21 work is hard enough learning is hard 1:53:26 enough these tools aren't at the stage 1:53:30 where the robots are going to kill us 1:53:31 yet these tools aren't even at the stage 1:53:34 where you can write a compelling legal 1:53:35 brief without it making up the case law 1:53:39 that it's 1:53:42 citing so [ __ ] it let's 1:53:47 play the like these are the most 1:53:49 remarkable 1:53:51 remarkable tools in the history of 1:53:55 humanity one of the things that you do 1:53:58 so 1:54:00 so I think one of the things that makes 1:54:03 these things feel 1:54:07 magical is that even though what they're 1:54:09 doing technically is literally just a 1:54:12 probability 1:54:14 calculator the data that they've been 1:54:16 trained on the p in pre-trained 1:54:19 generative pre-trained Transformer GPT 1:54:22 the p in 1:54:24 pre-trained is they train these things 1:54:27 on as much of the public internet is 1:54:29 they could get their hands on well 1:54:31 what's on the public 1:54:33 internet the last four or five Decades 1:54:36 of Humanity's output that got stuck on 1:54:39 the 1:54:40 internet so all the libraries all the 1:54:43 museums all the blogs all the Wikipedia 1:54:45 things all the posts all the this all 1:54:48 the 1:54:49 that so when you interact with 1:54:53 it your interaction is being mediated by 1:54:57 a probability engine but what you're 1:55:00 interacting with is the output of 1:55:03 humanity for the past five 1:55:05 decades and that's kind of what it feels 1:55:08 like it kind of feels like you're 1:55:10 interacting 1:55:12 with an intern a creative 1:55:17 partner it it's got a humanness to it 1:55:21 because that's the data the data is the 1:55:23 output of 1:55:25 humans and then you you'll be like wow 1:55:27 there's a bunch of shitty stuff on the 1:55:28 internet yeah and then there's a bunch 1:55:30 of remarkable stuff on the internet and 1:55:32 there's a bunch of stuff in the middle 1:55:34 and if you can figure out how to 1:55:36 navigate these tools and find the 1:55:38 corners of 1:55:40 Brilliance it's [ __ ] magical not 1:55:44 magic Pate would slap me if I said it 1:55:47 was magic it's not magic it's math 1:55:51 oh my God I just realized chat 1:55:55 gbt can replicate my Master's Project 1:55:58 Read the Affordable Care Act and even 1:56:01 evaluate yes side hustle Mimi 1:56:04 yes yeah use the Affordable Care Act as 1:56:08 the knowledge base just just give it one 1:56:10 of the things you can do in the chat GPT 1:56:12 give it a website of the Affordable Care 1:56:15 Act and just say use this as your 1:56:17 knowledge Source I did one for um buy 1:56:20 Biden's executive order on AI it's 1:56:23 called it's called 1:56:25 Biden's executive order AI executive 1:56:28 order Explorer so if you go to the GPT 1:56:30 store and look up the executive order 1:56:34 Explorer that's it's one that I did this 1:56:36 just like that Kyle you've got passion 1:56:38 and enthusiasm sometimes that's all you 1:56:41 need with wankin yeah yeah exactly I I 1:56:46 mean I get enthused about this stuff I 1:56:49 think I do have a when I get passionate 1:56:52 about something I like living out loud I 1:56:55 like talking about 1:56:57 it it seems to make a difference for 1:57:01 people but what's there's there's two 1:57:05 alternatives to to what I do the the 1:57:07 wacky stuff you can take it really 1:57:09 seriously and you can go like okay this 1:57:11 is going to be about efficiencies and 1:57:14 we're gonna we're going to put a lot of 1:57:15 process in place and we're going to make 1:57:16 it safe we're make it perfect we're make 1:57:18 it good we're make it ear 1:57:22 so you can be like that and that's 1:57:24 cool you'll get some [ __ ] done you'll 1:57:27 probably be very frustrated cuz these 1:57:29 tools ain't ready for that kind of 1:57:30 thinking yet but you know good to 1:57:33 plan we're going to put a pan in 1:57:39 place you be like 1:57:42 that or you can be like AI is evil you 1:57:46 know you know 1:57:48 AI 1:57:51 and those people I have very little 1:57:53 sympathy for I do have empathy for 1:57:56 them but especially the ones that are 1:57:59 actively resisting it actively going 1:58:02 after it it's bad it's evil we're going 1:58:05 to talk about how awful it is the the 1:58:08 metaphor that I'm I'm my current 1:58:11 metaphor for the kinds of conversation a 1:58:14 lot of the conversations going on right 1:58:16 now is it stealing is it this is it good 1:58:19 is is it bad 1:58:21 in all those conversations where people 1:58:24 are just like pontificating 1:58:26 about the merits of 1:58:30 AI are the 1:58:32 equivalent of the legislature of the 1:58:36 State of 1:58:37 Florida debating 1:58:39 laws that they're going to they're going 1:58:41 to pass declaring hurricanes are 1:58:47 illegal and like you're like oh yeah 1:58:49 they should be illegal yeah hurricanes 1:58:50 are bad you know what we should pass a 1:58:52 law yeah let's pass a law yeah we let's 1:58:55 debate how we should do this and then oh 1:58:58 yeah we passed the law yay we did pass 1:59:01 the law congratulations people you're 1:59:03 you're safe now cuz we passed a law that 1:59:06 hurricanes are now illegal what's what 1:59:09 are those clouds 1:59:12 Bob like it's laudable I understand yes 1:59:17 we can have those 1:59:18 debates if is those conversations are 1:59:22 independent of the fact that this shit's 1:59:24 cominging whether we want it or 1:59:26 not and it's not even coming it's 1:59:30 here Irregulars present good to see you Rebel 2:06:10 great to see you 2:06:15 um April strange R Becky R good night 2:06:18 play the LA 12 song please I got to get 2:06:21 you know what I'm going to do at some 2:06:22 point when when my ADD kicks in I've got 2:06:25 an iPad here so I'm going to get one of 2:06:27 those soundboards and then I'll put a 2:06:28 bunch of sounds on it and then we can 2:06:30 have some fun uh but until then you just 2:06:33 get my stupid ass 2:06:36 voices cover the keyboard I did Cover 2:06:38 the 2:06:41 [Music] 2:06:44 keyboard boy wait bro I spent an hour 2:06:47 creating my GPT and halfway through what 2:06:49 was that it went away what what did you 2:06:54 [Music] 2:06:57 say oh I lo oh here it 2:07:00 is and halfway through it had completely 2:07:03 ignored my earlier instructions Kelsey 2:07:06 here's the 2:07:07 problem okay Kelsey I'm going to give 2:07:09 you before I go see I can't I can't say 2:07:14 goodbye got got to work with this got to 2:07:17 work with the therapist on this one um 2:07:21 if if you're just working in the create 2:07:23 mode in the chat GPT side it will [ __ ] 2:07:27 up your 2:07:28 GPT so here's here's my strong 2:07:30 recommendation when you make a GPT start 2:07:33 out on the create side and say I want a 2:07:35 GPT that does 2:07:37 XYZ and then make all your changes after 2:07:40 that in configure mode there's something 2:07:42 about the way they've coded the create 2:07:45 side that when you try to give it 2:07:47 instructions to improve it it overwrites 2:07:50 the previous prompts and so it it it 2:07:52 just breaks them so I'm sorry you went 2:07:55 through that one of the best practices 2:07:57 that Suzanne um Welker Jurgens does is 2:08:02 she she saves her prompts in a separate 2:08:04 document and she versions them so she'll 2:08:07 write some prompts put them into into 2:08:09 chat GPT in the configure mode test it 2:08:13 and then if she wants to change it 2:08:14 she'll do another version and then that 2:08:16 way she can go back only two hours oh 2:08:19 right I started at 9:00 that's why it's 2:08:20 late okay good only two only two hours 2:08:24 tonight oh Silver Fox I was going to go 2:08:26 look at something of yours wait what was 2:08:29 it 2:08:30 um oh the random GPT wait it's called 2:08:34 it's called so random um go check out so 2:08:37 Silver Fox put 2:08:41 a a GPT 2:08:45 together called so Random so go look for 2:08:48 a GPT called so 2:08:51 Random I didn't think this felt like 3 2:08:57 hours is this it 2:09:01 by Ultra something 2:09:07 Travel yeah practical and futuristic 2:09:11 GPT idea generator so so Random will 2:09:15 come up 2:09:17 with this is great give me a random idea 2:09:19 for a 2:09:21 GPT let's dive into the world of GPT 2:09:24 practical idea the recipe remix 2:09:27 GPT cool futuristic idea the dream 2:09:31 Explorer oh this is cool a practical one 2:09:33 a futuristic one the dream Explorer I 2:09:36 actually created one called Dream Weaver 2:09:38 that's a dream Explorer 2:09:40 GPT that's really cool a practical one 2:09:42 and futuristic one super super cool all 2:09:45 right so go do that time isn't real it 2:09:48 totally isn't creative roots good to see 2:09:50 you all right steo good to see you Earth 2:09:52 rocker good to see you side hustle Mimi 2:09:55 all of you Vicky thank you so much
