7. 1:31and a lot of the uh there's been a lot of requests in the past two weeks for talking about Bots building Bots people
8. 1:42getting inspired to build Bots and building them on PO and uh that's all of a sudden very relevant there's a little hint so I'll
9. 1:52walk you through that I did a vis a video on it earlier today so now if you if you come to this channel you should
10. 2:01be just waiting with baited breath every time I make a video so you probably know what I'm going to talk about but if not

28. 5:18giving all of us and one of the things that we're discovering here in this channel one of the things I'm really
29. 5:22excited about is I'm I'm watching because I've been doing these things nightly for like five months now seven
30. 5:30nights a week 2 to three hours I'm watching people that are coming back over and over and again over and over
31. 5:37again Reinventing themselves and like Reinventing themselves with like joy and surprise so uh very possible very
32. 5:55possible um very possible that it will do that now listen am I late Amelio's wife you're late again oh Emilio's wife we've we've we've
33. 6:05been talking about meil versus llama and you're like but Kyle what's meil just just another model it's it's
34. 6:14them wacky op Source kids going at each other it's a it's an open open source battle um all right so let's get let's

44. 7:57trivia ask it about something that you've I've always wanted to know about but don't know anything about um uh for
45. 8:03the person that said they were a dishwasher tell it what skills you have and what aspirations you have including
46. 8:09the dishwashing and ask it to give you advice for what you might do next and mix your hobbies in there cuz your
47. 8:18hobbies could very well turn in into things and just go play have it write you a song say I want I want a country
48. 8:28song about my significant other or my ex significant other or my dog and it will do that I named Pi P Becky even though she
49. 8:42had suggested Bart yeah yeah you should not you should not name your virtual assistant Bart I don't think Becky's [Laughter]

64. 11:23playing with zappier and when I when open AI first came out I wrote a newsbot that would grab a news story and post it
65. 11:30into a channel in Discord so I've made one but I don't I don't know the good ones out there I'm in fact I'm I'm I'm
66. 11:37I'm about to um show a little preview we're switching the AI Salon which I'll talk about in a second we're switching
67. 11:45that um from the primary Community Management from Discord to Mighty networks um so we're going to keep we're
68. 11:54going to keep a small Discord alive for things like mid journey and and if people want to play with Bots um so
69. 12:01we're going to keep it as an active laboratory but the main Community we're moving over to Mighty networks so sorry
70. 12:07about that which plugin should we install on chat gp4 Apple user I that's a really good question I mean I
71. 12:16listen Here's my thought on my thought on plugins right now is that there there some of them are really good there the
72. 12:25woman that's coming to speak at the salon next Tuesday woman named Cindy [ __ ] she's a she's a futurist she loves
73. 12:31plugins she thinks they're great but she she kind of digs behind them and and like goes to the actual sites that they
74. 12:38they're connected to and does things there so so so I think there's some value there the problem is there's a
75. 12:46thousand of them there's more than a thousand now most of them are just abject pieces of [ __ ] so what I would say is
76. 12:57um figure out things that you want to do and go see if there's a a plugin for that right so if you want to go look at
77. 13:07white papers about large language models or about you know image generation tools or video tools um I know that there's
78. 13:15plugins for archive you know for the white paper site and and for other white paper sites and you know research sites
79. 13:23um if you want to do something with food and nutrition there's food and nutrition things you know if you want to do
80. 13:28something with shopping and reservations there's plugins for that so I would say start with your use case and
81. 13:35then and then go try that but but also like you know you now have browse with Bing um so um it's connected to the
82. 13:47internet so you can probably do a fair amount of stuff that the the plugins do there um there are some fun ones like
83. 13:52the visla plugin Visa is a video making um a video making website that you it's you know you give it a description of a video and
84. 14:05it it will pull stock videos and it'll it'll write a narration and then narrate the video for you they have a plugin um
85. 14:14so you could you could brainstorm the video idea in chat GPT and then when it has enough information it'll fire off
86. 14:20the visla plugin and and go do that so you know I I would start with your use cases that's probably the way to do
87. 14:27it um okay I also want to show you
88. 14:41um this is a preview of the new Mighty networks for the AI salon so what's the AI Salon you say well I'm glad you asked
89. 14:53um the AI Salon is hang on um it's a community I started about a year ago in fact December 5th is going to be our
90. 15:03one-year anniversary so we're going to have a big one-year anniversary meeting where we're going to celebrate
91. 15:09um the uh the the one-year anniversary of chat PT and the oneye anniversary of the AI Salon um the uh the description of of the AI
92. 15:23Salon is we're a community of extraordinary adventurers exploring the AI unknown um it's a ragtag group of
93. 15:31Misfits neru whales and Mis creant who have gathered to explore the Uncharted Wilderness of generative AI where
94. 15:38everyone from entrepreneurs to Educators from healthcare workers to creatives and everyone in between um that's what it's all about um it's
95. 15:49about creating a community that's just you know let's see I hope we battle again never no more battles the battles
96. 15:57the battles are so offbrand for for for what this is it is so so in fact so part of the salon so so so this channel is
97. 16:06really just kind of a a splinter spin-off of this larger community and I and I've started to cross the beams
98. 16:13where where a lot of people that show up here regularly are now part of the salon and they're you know stepping into
99. 16:20leadership positions and they're collaborating it's really exciting um but one of the things that's really
100. 16:25important to me I want to grow this community um and um but I don't want it to I like I I want it to stay cool like
101. 16:35I want people to be cool so so part of the part of the deal with the salon is we've got very specific values um they
102. 16:44might seem innocuous but but to me they're actually really critical so if these resonate with you then this is
103. 16:50probably a community for you um one the first one is curiosity I want people that are curious not not people that are
104. 16:57operating out of fear you can be scared but I want you to be curious like how does this work what does this do how's
105. 17:01it going to change things how's it going to impact work thank you Sher D um I want people that are generous generosity
106. 17:08is a big big value um as you learn stuff share what you're learning share how to do stuff you're like but Kyle if I it
107. 17:18took me like a week to figure this out and now it's really good why would I give that to someone else because it
108. 17:22doesn't [ __ ] matter because the technology is changing so fast that the thing that you figured out
109. 17:28today what you actually built is not the important thing what you learned in how you built it is the important thing so
110. 17:36share it just give it away as when when things start to stabilize 3 to five years from now then we can all start to
111. 17:42get stingy and compete and everything like that but everyone's trying to figure it out right now so I want people
112. 17:47that are super generous uh about who they are and what they do um exploration is is the next one I want people that
113. 17:54are you know willing to explore willing to build um and then you know t to that collaboration people that are willing to
114. 18:01do that with other people um inclusion is a big one for me um people are coming from all walks of life right now right nurses and lawyers
115. 18:16and ex software engineers and current software engineers and actors and writers and artists everyone's trying to figure this
116. 18:24stuff out so everyone's you know welcome and then the final one is empathy I want people that um understand that this is
117. 18:35some scary stuff like change is hard and there's a lot of change going on right now and you know we're all kind of
118. 18:42working through it so anyway that's what I'm thank you Silver Fox I appreciate that um that's what it's all about so if

128. 20:02great I also someone someone in our organizers meeting suggested that we need to have an education Guild so if
129. 20:09you're into education and passionate about AI join the flip and salon and you can start a guild but you got to be down with our

136. 21:19should be a smart enough ecosystem that chat GPT understands all of the [ __ ] it has available to it hey can I make a
137. 21:27tapping SP for AI learning lab you can marry Mary in fact some of some of the Irregulars um and by the way you come
138. 21:34here enough that I think you're an irregular now you're you are you're officially an irregular um uh some of
139. 21:41the Irregulars went on Amazon and Amazon actually has tapping you could buy tapping machines that just

148. 22:53know about these things is they they will confident like every good man in your life they will confidently answer you even if they're
149. 23:02wrong um so you need to know that that's there there there's a couple of things about that one of the things is you can
150. 23:10when is the mighty Network's AI Salon going to be active it's we're going to we're going to officially launch it on
151. 23:18the December 5th one-year anniversary I think we're going to do a soft launch mid November um so so the organizer and the
152. 23:28and the guild leaders are have access to it right now we're setting it up we're populating it we're learning it um and so probably
153. 23:37in a week and a half or two weeks we we'll do kind of a soft launch and let some people in um and then we'll do an
154. 23:44official launch on the 30th or on December 5th the the December 5th oneye anniversary and uh yeah it's going to be
155. 23:54exciting Mighty networks is really cool it's really good it's like the the way we've got it set up right now it's kind
156. 24:00of like what the Discord server wants to be um so it's pretty cool um what was I talking about I was

158. 24:22point oh oh discern factual infro info from okay so a couple of things depending on how how much you use chat
159. 24:31jpt if you don't give large language models enough context they'll hallucinate more meaning if you just say
160. 24:40um explain this concept to me it'll explain the concept and it may get it wrong but if but if let's say the concept is
161. 24:50um um the the parasites of the um South America the Great South American llama if you just say tell me about parasites
162. 25:01of the Great South American llama it'll tell you some [ __ ] there might be wrong [ __ ] in there if you say I want you to
163. 25:07act as an entomologist that specializes in South American um parasites and particularly those of the of the llama and alpaca
164. 25:19category um it adding that context will narrow the this the essentially the pool of data that it pulls from so there's
165. 25:28ways that you can make it hallucinate less um it still does not is there a mighty Network app yes there is it's
166. 25:36called Mighty networks um at some point if we pay for like their most expensive like their Enterprise version we can
167. 25:44have our own AI salon app which we'll probably do at some point but not right now so there's a mighty networks app yes
168. 25:51um so that's that um there are also Dave uh things like sorry no V's I'm a radio show host okay all right so all so solid

170. 26:16hallucinate less you can also do things like if you used Advanced Data analysis in chat GPT what it's actually doing is it's
171. 26:26writing and executing python code so where chat GPT can't really do math Advanced Data analysis can because it's
172. 26:33actually writing and executing python code so understanding the different tools within chat GPT is is an important
173. 26:41thing to do just to understand how the different components work there are also tools like perplexity um that's really good at at
174. 26:51providing citations so when it gives you answers it provides citations of where they got them that you can link out to
175. 26:57and check them so that's good also things like browse with Bing where it's connected to the internet it's starting to provide citations Bard
176. 27:07Bing Pi all four of those are connected to the internet and and provide some level of citations Pi not so much but
177. 27:16Bard Bing and browse with Bing and chat GPT um and then to your real question like when is the software when do I not need to know
178. 27:28the 177 different loopholes for how to get these things to actually give me factual [ __ ] I'm guessing that's two years away but maybe
179. 27:38sooner this stuff's advancing very very fast the the way they work right now is they're just probability engines so the
180. 27:45so the way they work is when you type your prompt and you hit return it basically converts that into a
181. 27:54mathematical probability that says what what's the next most probable word or group of words you know chunk of tokens
182. 28:03is what they call what the Geeks call them you know to respond to this to that thing and then and then when it puts that in there
183. 28:15it says well what's the next probability words after that and the next probability word after that and after
184. 28:20that and after that so it's literally just like a calculator spitting out a word that it doesn't know the meaning of
185. 28:27it just says this word from a from a mathematical waiting standpoint with with some particular meaning is the next
186. 28:36most appropriate word so when it writes all that [ __ ] for you it literally has no idea what it wrote so I think that
187. 28:43there's what what a lot of computer scientists are working on right now is well let's have it generate the thing
188. 28:52and then we can run that thing through a fact Checker so before we give you an answer we could say validate that the answer is not wrong you
189. 29:05know but we're just not there right now so so one of the jokes in here uh perplexity uses internet much better
190. 29:12with co-pilot turned on okay good good to know Nancy yeah I'm I I keep threatening to learn perplexity and and
191. 29:19use it more because just people keep talking about how good it is and it they keep adding features to it and I just
192. 29:25haven't done it cuz I'm lose the baby why don't you sue me um all right Big Dave Hilton Big Dave I hope you come

200. 30:39I haven't been passionate about education but um I'm now I like I'm increasingly livid that educational
201. 30:53institutions are hesitating at all about this stuff like I I gave I gave a speech at a at a Colorado University here a couple of
202. 31:06weeks ago or no probably two months ago now um their public policy school and they're like yeah you know we
203. 31:19we don't really we haven't really talked about AI I'm like what like you don't you don't like hate it or you're not leaning into it like
204. 31:31you haven't even talked about it no it's like the beginning of the school year I said to the guy I said I said you know
205. 31:39that the Freshman this year when they graduate the world is not going to look like it does now do you know that and
206. 31:47he's like yeah I guess I haven't really thought about it and I gave him my little talk on how profound I think this
207. 31:53[ __ ] is and he came up to me afterwards he's like yeah I'm I'm pretty sure we need to get on this now he sent me an
208. 31:59email okay we're talking about it in our meetings unbelievable so yeah so so yeah so we should have a group of Educators in the AI
209. 32:10Salon that are kicking around these issues how should we be teaching it when should we be teaching it what are the
210. 32:16skills that students need need to have what are the skills that teachers need to have how do we get administrators to get
211. 32:23their heads out of their asses there's a lot to solve there a lot a lot a lot best product to connect chat GPT to the
212. 32:35web um chat GPT itself it now has browse with Bing although although I do there's there's a bunch of stuff in flux right
213. 32:44now with chat GPT um but but it's connected to the web um there are there are um plugins also there's one called
214. 32:53Web pilot there's one called ask your PDF um that that are decent um but I would also say um you could just use
215. 33:02Bing because Bing is is built on top of gp4 and it's connected to the internet so's barred ask for famous people from a
216. 33:10specific City AI gave me some real names plus movie books book characters oh interesting H that's very cool oh wait it gave you real names
217. 33:29like did it give you Nona non-factual stuff probably um what you can do there Dave is if you have not so so to be clear I
218. 33:39do not work for open AI in any way I don't give a [ __ ] if you spend money with that like it doesn't affect me in
219. 33:45any way um I think I think anyone who's at all interested about this [ __ ] right now you should pay for chat GPT plus the
220. 33:5320 bucks so so Dave if you have paid for chat GPT plus it now has browse with Bing in it or you could use Bing uh
221. 34:03yeah Bing chat or you could use Bard which are connected to the internet so if you're trying to to do famous people
222. 34:11from a specific City it might work better if it's connected to the internet um because it can get upto-date
223. 34:17stuff and that it it might just give you better like even if it doesn't give you perfectly correct answers it might give
224. 34:23you links to sites that that have some lists of that stuff um yeah interesting um yeah it's so just basically with all
225. 34:35this stuff everything right now just understand that all these tools are janky pieces of [ __ ] until further
226. 34:42notice and they're just changing all the time I mean seriously like chat GPT is not the same tool it was a month ago a
227. 34:50month ago it was kind of chat GPT and it had um Advanced Data analysis which was super cool but now it can see it can hear it can
228. 35:01talk it can make images it can do Advanced Data analysis it's got plugins it you can essentially turn it into a
229. 35:09bot and it sounds like they're going to dramatically increase that capability so chat GPT is no longer just a single
230. 35:15thing it's it's actually a suite of capabilities and they're going to get increasingly integrated into the S into
231. 35:23a single experience where where I I mean I just I I don't know I don't have I don't have adjectives anymore I I
232. 35:34I because we're coming to the point where we're going to have a simple input that can do anything here I just scanned my room
233. 35:48with my phone um please draw up architecture plans to knock down the loadbearing wall we're not that far from that it's like holy
234. 36:02[ __ ] now make me an image of what that might look like gp4 helped me fix my gas stove today had it on beside me talking
235. 36:11and chatting amazing amazing Silver Fox yeah piie and chat GPT both now have conversation mode so I'll do piie since you did chat

304. 47:54months are are spent writing up that Grant what if you con condensed all of that down into a day or two turnaround instead of weeks and
305. 48:07months and then what you did was you actually interacted with the human beings so rather than just interacting
306. 48:13with the paperwork because it's so egregious what if AI dealt with 90% of that and then what you actually did was
307. 48:22say I want to go meet the people and see if I'm excited about what they do and then I'll make I'll make my
308. 48:30decisions not only on the grant proposal but on who the human beings are and how much I trust or I'm excited about them
309. 48:37putting together a good program for us like I think it could be fundamentally transformative to the to the nonprofit

358. 55:52park in international waters they're going to have a defense system around it and and they're basically going to
359. 56:00have big enough clusters of non country Affiliated gpus that and like 6 months later and then I take a picture of that whiteboard and I
