Description

I hosted a lively 90-minute session exploring the current state of AI and the implications for the future. With no expertise aside from curiosity, I aimed to educate and inspire viewers to explore chatGPT and other emergent technologies shaping the world. Using humor and analogies, I demonstrated chatGPT capabilities, evaluated new models like Claude, and highlighted mind-blowing innovations like code interpreter. I reviewed the plugin ecosystem, no code tools, and more while fielding questions from a vibrant audience. The pace of change is staggering – come get a glimpse into the future of AI. #ai #chatgpt #future 0:02:42 - Getting started with AI as a beginner 0:08:03 - Comparing capabilities of new models like Claude and Pi 0:16:51 - Mind-blowing power of code interpreter 0:31:07 - Making AI bots with po.com 0:48:32 - My non-existent qualifications 1:01:16 - Hardware needed to run models locally 1:17:39 - Introduction to no code tools like Zapier 1:27:21 - Adding variables across Zaps 1:29:20 - Creating AI bots on poe.com

0:00 thank you
0:26 hey
0:28 this is Kyle Shannon with the AI
0:30 learning lab what's happening oh I might
0:32 need to change my shirt
0:35 hello Kevin what's happening it's
0:37 shaking it's going down
0:41 [Music]
0:55 [Music]
0:56 welcome welcome welcome
0:58 to the AI learning lab thank you for the
1:00 gummy bear I think it's a gummy bear
1:09 welcome to the AI learning lab I got I
1:12 put a new I have a new thing here if
1:15 you've been here before
1:17 I replaced Poe I said I'd start
1:19 replacing these if they got replaced
1:21 with something better or more
1:22 interesting
1:24 so that's there
1:27 what else do we have we got pi
1:30 we got Claude
1:33 there's a lot going on we got
1:37 what you call it
1:39 code interpreter
1:41 which is still insanity
1:43 good morning Singapore hey Todd how's it
1:46 going
1:47 welcome everybody go ahead and hit the
1:49 uh tap the screen if you would to get
1:51 the likes going see if we can get some
1:52 more people in here
1:56 um
1:57 if you haven't been here before my name
1:59 is Kyle Shannon this is the AI learning
2:00 lab I am an entrepreneur and a
2:04 just a dude trying to figure this [ __ ]
2:06 out and
2:09 I'm the founder and CEO of a company
2:11 called storybine
2:13 which is an automated video storytelling
2:16 platform
2:17 and I was a
2:20 I was there for the early days of the
2:22 World Wide Web I co-founded a company
2:24 called agency.com which was one of the
2:26 first digital agencies and
2:29 um the uh the early days of the world
2:31 wide web in the early days of this AI
2:33 stuff have a lot of similarities a lot
2:35 of interesting stuff going on
2:37 so um yeah
2:39 so welcome holy crap we just went from
2:41 19 people to 252.
2:44 uh if you're new here uh this is the AI
2:46 learning lab uh I'll talk about these uh
2:49 URLs here hang on if you're new to
2:53 um generative AI if you've not played
2:55 with chat GPT go there go to
2:58 chat.openai.com that's the official chat
3:00 GPT website for those of you that have
3:02 been here before you'll notice that I
3:04 replace poe.com with claude.ai why did I
3:07 do that because Cloud 2.0 came out today
3:10 and it's got a
3:11 sweet little elegant interface and it
3:13 seems to not suck so there's another
3:16 thing to play with
3:17 so that one up there is the official
3:20 chat GPT website
3:23 um if you pay the 20 bucks a month for
3:25 chat gbt plus you get access to gpt4 and
3:28 you also get access to this new
3:30 remarkably powerful thing called code
3:32 interpreter I don't work for them I'm
3:34 not getting paid for them I don't care
3:35 if you go there or not
3:37 um
3:38 but I'll talk about code interpreter
3:40 because it's insane uh bing.com that's
3:42 Microsoft search engine click on the
3:44 chat button there that's also chat gpt4
3:46 but it's free and it's connected to the
3:48 internet it's not as good as that one
3:50 but it's still really good and you can
3:52 make images there for free and then
3:54 Claude is uh one of anthropics models
3:57 and they just released their first
3:59 website so I figured I'd give them a
4:01 shout out because I'm a fan of what
4:02 they're up to and then prompts.chat if
4:05 you haven't played with any of these
4:06 large language models it's sort of like
4:09 Google in that there's like a box that
4:11 you type in but it's completely unlike
4:14 Google in that it's completely different
4:16 so if you want to learn how to do that
4:18 go to prompts.chat and that'll teach you
4:19 about that if you've got any questions
4:21 about AI pop them in the comments below
4:23 and let's get this show on the road
4:29 [Music]
4:36 all right can you get the chat GPT
4:39 extensions if you don't pay the
4:41 subscription not right now right now you
4:43 need to pay the subscription but
4:45 bing.com Microsoft has announced that
4:48 bing.com will support plugins
4:51 so I don't know when that's going to be
4:53 I don't know when they are ready for
4:55 prime time they still seem a little a
4:57 little janky as we like to say here in
4:59 the AI learning lab
5:01 um so so they'll eventually be available
5:03 at bing.com as well for free
5:06 hey dude thanks for help us figure this
5:09 all out of course yep yep yep
5:12 yep
5:15 uh nice shirt this evening Mr Shannon I
5:17 know it's it's right on the border of do
5:19 I have to change it but I think if I
5:21 just keep a little dark area where the
5:22 text is we're gonna be okay but thank
5:25 you I appreciate that
5:30 quantum computer with 70 cubits that can
5:33 that can calculate in six seconds uh
5:36 what it'll take today's super computers
5:38 47 years to calculate so I gave Google a
5:42 shout out today but Bard sucks compared
5:45 to Claude and Chachi PT
5:48 and Bing
5:50 um it's just not good
5:52 um it'll get better I think I think
5:54 Google's gonna show up
5:56 um one thing I saw today is Google has a
5:58 cool thing called style drop which is
6:00 remarkable technology and somebody spun
6:04 up a uh
6:06 a Google collab notebook or whatever
6:08 like a GitHub uh so you can run that
6:10 that looks pretty amazing but I haven't
6:12 installed it yet
6:14 um
6:16 yeah
6:17 you know I mean the the ironic thing
6:20 about
6:22 Bart sucking is that Google invented the
6:24 Transformer which is what all of these
6:27 tools are based on and then they just
6:28 sat on it
6:30 and so you know I don't think they or
6:32 anyone else were expecting chat GP to
6:34 yeah
6:36 chat gbt to be as popular as it was but
6:39 it is and it was and it happened and so
6:41 now they're on their heels and so they
6:42 got to catch up that's on them
6:46 they'll get there I hear it's good at
6:48 code but I don't do that day to day I do
6:51 words day to day
6:52 qualifications
6:55 well
6:56 I don't know doesn't matter if I have
6:58 qualifications what if I have none
7:01 what if you know it could be the worst
7:03 if I had a degree in acting that that
7:07 would be a disqualified like if I
7:09 if I got a degree in acting and not even
7:12 like I didn't even do film or TV like I
7:14 moved to New York City
7:16 and and I spent like five years of my
7:20 life
7:21 starting and running a theater company
7:23 that would be completely disqualifying
7:25 for anything called AI learning lab
7:26 definitely that
7:29 and then what would be worse is if I I
7:31 started a theater company and I I failed
7:33 financially at that and then I thought I
7:35 know I'll write myself an acting career
7:37 and I spent like two years writing seven
7:40 feature-length screenplays that would be
7:42 absolutely disqualifying
7:44 for anyone talking about AI so yeah
7:48 I got nothing for you in terms of
7:50 qualifications you know I mean sure I
7:52 mean started one of the first digital
7:54 agencies in the mid 90s and
7:56 you know
7:58 the parallels between what's going on
8:00 with generative Ai and what was going on
8:01 in their early days of the web I mean
8:03 it's remarkable and this is profound and
8:06 it's going to change everything and I
8:08 dedicate two to three hours of my life
8:10 every [ __ ] night to come here and
8:12 talk but really no qualifications
8:17 am I smarty bitter you betcha
8:24 I am a
8:27 post chat GPT inflection point
8:31 Explorer and adventurer of AI I know
8:34 just this much more than anyone else I'm
8:36 not a machine learning scientist I'm not
8:39 a researcher
8:40 I've got 80d I can't code but I'm 11
8:43 years into my startup and
8:46 completely rethinking that because of AI
8:49 and I'm doing the best I can to educate
8:52 people and Inspire them to give this
8:54 stuff A shot because I think it's going
8:56 to change the [ __ ] world
8:58 hey karuna what's happening
9:02 no it's not the border wait no not on
9:05 the border wait what I don't know what
9:07 you're talking about Emilio's wife can
9:09 we dive into Claude AI it's a little
9:12 wait
9:13 that's a new one I've heard of nice to
9:16 see you again hey Austin yeah we can
9:18 dive into it I mean I
9:20 and then I also pulled it up here
9:23 um
9:24 so it's it's very similar to uh to the
9:29 chat gpts of the world so you know we
9:32 can do
9:33 um uh make a table comparing
9:37 a real AI expert and a wannabe actor
9:46 act tour
9:52 and sure enough it'll make you a table
9:57 a real AI experts a researcher or
9:59 engineer working on developing AI
10:01 systems I want to be actors and aspiring
10:04 actor trying to break into acting it's
10:06 not very creative it's it's kind of a
10:10 shitty table it was supposed to be
10:12 funnier but whatever
10:14 um
10:15 so it can do that the other thing you
10:17 can do is you can
10:20 hand it
10:23 um
10:25 you can upload files
10:27 so let's go grab a file here I wonder if
10:30 I can do zip files
10:35 nope you can't do zip files okay so it
10:37 looks like you you have to do csvs
10:41 so here's some of my LinkedIn data let
10:43 me pop that over there
10:47 text extraction failed I wonder why
10:49 maybe I need to
10:51 do it from in here
10:56 [Music]
11:03 so let's see
11:11 [Music]
11:15 Goodwill Goodwill Hunting
11:18 text extraction failed
11:20 huh I don't know it looks like uploads
11:23 are not happy right now for all Claudia
11:26 mccloudster
11:28 crimes this is Denver crimes
11:31 all right that worked CSV worked okay
11:34 PDFs didn't work it's I don't know it's
11:37 it's weird Okay so message cloud
11:40 um
11:42 uh tell me
11:45 tell me uh something interesting about
11:50 this data
11:53 let's see what it does see if it tells
11:55 us anything interesting about the data
12:00 welcome everybody
12:02 this is the AI learning lab looks like
12:04 some new people just joined if you
12:06 missed all the fun someone asked me
12:07 about my qualifications I have none so
12:10 if you demand qualifications for
12:12 something called the AI learning lab I
12:14 would leave now I would get out I would
12:16 go I would run away
12:18 because there is nothing in here that is
12:21 remotely interesting to anyone
12:23 interested in AI
12:25 I have no qualifications
12:29 um what did it do
12:32 Claude
12:33 oh Claude went boom boom
12:43 uh yes
12:46 in case it wasn't patently clear we are
12:48 very early in the AI parade so maybe I
12:52 should
12:53 um I shouldn't have not have replaced
12:55 Poe with Claude because Claude
12:58 apparently is a little too busy tonight
13:00 to handle all the traffic
13:03 that's pretty funny there's also pie
13:06 which is similar so this is
13:10 Pi dot a i
13:14 um and it's from this company called
13:16 inflection and inflection is
13:21 um
13:21 it's one of the founders of deepmind
13:24 and it's a an open AI competitor and
13:29 they're looking to do
13:30 um personal agents and so their personal
13:33 agents called
13:35 pie
13:37 which is good branding Pi dot AI
13:40 um
13:41 and let's see
13:44 um make me
13:46 a table comparing
13:50 a wet dog and a fluffy cat
13:56 see if it can do tables here you go
14:00 wet dog versus fluffy cat
14:02 smell wet dog ugh fluffy cat Pleasant
14:08 energy wet dog playful and excited
14:10 fluffy cat lethargic and relaxed
14:13 so this has got Pi's got much more
14:15 personality it didn't make a table I
14:17 wonder if it can code can you make
14:21 this a python application
14:26 that asks
14:28 for a pair of animals question mark
14:34 dude
14:38 absolutely I can write you a Python
14:40 program
14:42 are you ready to get started why yes
14:44 Pie has has a lot of Personality there's
14:47 a lot of Personality here
14:51 we're going to import the necessary
14:52 libraries we're going to ask the user to
14:55 input two animals we're going to create
14:56 a list of comparison categories
14:59 we're going to iterate we're going to
15:00 calculate
15:02 does that make sense yes
15:10 first we'll need to import the libraries
15:12 in this case we'll input the libraries
15:14 and read it ready to move on yes I don't
15:16 like how
15:19 um
15:26 let me say are you going to write
15:31 the code
15:33 or do I have to
15:39 good catch I'll write the code just sit
15:42 back and relax
15:45 so this is funny this is describing
15:47 writing code
15:51 you know what this is doing this is
15:53 absolutely convincing me that chat GPT
15:55 is still the best
16:01 that ain't writing code it's writing a
16:03 it's writing a short story every time I
16:06 ask it a question all right we're back
16:07 to chat GPT you can make money
16:12 all right we're not diving into Claude
16:14 we're not diving into uh
16:17 into
16:18 pie we're coming back to them when they
16:21 get their [ __ ] together
16:25 unbelievable all right
16:27 I'm hoping to make the next in-person
16:29 Meetup awesome yeah join us we're at
16:32 um it's next Tuesday week from tonight
16:35 and it's uh at the Catalyst building on
16:38 Brighton Boulevard in Rhino here in
16:41 Denver Colorado come on down
16:45 can AI prepare lawsuits in my state DC
16:47 on a certain subject matter it can the
16:50 thing you need to be careful of with
16:51 chat EPT doing anything resembling
16:55 work you want to be uh you want to be
16:58 solid
17:00 is it will hallucinate it'll make up
17:02 case law and and reference it in in in
17:05 in legal um things or in really it'll
17:09 lie about anything
17:10 um so so if you're doing something like
17:12 that it can be really good at that
17:15 um you could even do things with code
17:16 interpreter you could probably even
17:18 upload a big chunk of the law that is
17:21 relevant to your case and it could learn
17:22 that and then you could you know write a
17:25 case that that you know captures all the
17:27 angles but definitely check the work and
17:29 make sure that it's it's solid in terms
17:32 of research I hate that they disabled
17:35 chat EBT with Bing beta
17:37 yeah I know me too I I assume you mean
17:40 wait
17:42 Oh you mean the browse with Bing beta
17:44 within chat GPT I hate that they
17:46 disabled that too
17:48 buffering on your side or mine Kyle I
17:50 don't know am I buffering for everyone
17:52 I'm jealous
17:55 can they create lawsuits for court to
17:58 match preferences and subject matter I
18:00 think so I think I know what you're
18:02 asking I used AI
18:05 uh am I buffering can someone tell me oh
18:09 it's better now no buffering okay cool
18:13 welcome welcome welcome this is the AI
18:17 learning lab
18:18 I'm completely unqualified yeah
18:22 [Laughter]
18:25 I'm a little smarmy tonight
18:28 qualifications question mark
18:34 who did that
18:37 calcomania
18:39 what what are your qualifications for
18:41 coming up with a name like calculania
18:43 that's just awful
18:51 use AI to rewrite lyrics of a James of
18:55 James Brown's super freak to be Super
18:57 Geek that's solid I hope you're gonna
19:00 perform it
19:00 [Laughter]
19:03 that's awesome awesome awesome awesome
19:05 awesome
19:08 you could be a Canadian Prime Minister
19:11 say okay okay for those of you that are
19:14 new here
19:16 you could be a Canadian Prime Minister
19:18 is is the perfect kind of troll for the
19:21 AI learning lab
19:23 seems like it could be a compliment
19:25 seems like it could be an insult might
19:28 be both that's solid it's clever it's
19:31 creative
19:32 I like it a lot I
19:35 thank you sort I think
19:37 it's good this is good
19:39 acting
19:41 thespians rude
19:44 all right where do you read the latest
19:45 news on a I I get most of mine from the
19:50 Twitter
19:53 um
19:55 I get some stuff from LinkedIn there's a
19:57 couple of people I follow like I follow
19:59 Paul rates or with the marketing AI
20:01 Institute I follow Ethan Malik from
20:03 Wharton but he's also he does a lot of
20:05 stuff on Twitter
20:08 um
20:09 sometimes YouTube like YouTube I'll go
20:12 to YouTube to kind of do deep Dives I've
20:15 got a couple of YouTubers that I like
20:16 that that are really technical that
20:20 um
20:20 are good for humbling myself if I'm
20:23 feeling a little too smart I'll go watch
20:24 David Shapiro for 15 minutes and just go
20:27 like I am a dumb dumb and I'm not
20:29 qualified
20:32 and then I suck my thumb and I go to bed
20:34 and that's why I get a good night's
20:35 sleep every night
20:38 um
20:39 I think that's it
20:42 I also you know with the I've got the AI
20:44 Salon this thing
20:47 so if you want to join a community of
20:49 adventurers really into Ai and
20:52 generative AI uh go to the salon.ai
20:54 there's a link tree there with our our
20:56 Meetup we meet every other week we've
20:58 got a Discord server we've got a
20:59 LinkedIn group
21:01 you're all washed up kid y'all watched
21:03 up kid
21:04 you're never gonna make it in this town
21:06 ah
21:09 you're still unqualified I know right
21:13 qualifications
21:14 I have none I've got I've got less than
21:17 none
21:19 I've got Quantum Computing levels of no
21:22 qualifications if you know what I mean
21:28 you are an AI sent to derail the world I
21:31 right see huh
21:34 you wonder what Quantum Computing looks
21:35 like this is it
21:37 this is it
21:38 thank you for your unqualified generous
21:40 generosity you're an honest guy thank
21:43 you very much I try to be
21:46 um why do they want my info signing up
21:48 for chat GPT because everybody wants
21:50 your data they're out to get you they're
21:52 out to get you
21:55 do you use Google do you use Facebook if
21:58 you don't then I wouldn't give up your
22:01 data but if you do you already have I
22:05 don't know why they want it so they can
22:07 call you and ask your opinion on the new
22:11 AI models
22:13 probably because they want to make money
22:14 at some point is my guess
22:17 I don't know here's my deal this this is
22:21 where my head is with this stuff
22:23 we get to use for free the most powerful
22:27 technology in the history of humanity
22:29 and we have to give them our phone
22:30 number okay I'm in and if you don't want
22:33 to just go to Bing use bing.com that's
22:35 chat that's gpt4
22:37 and they'll cook you the [ __ ] out of you
22:38 but but you don't have to give them your
22:40 phone number
22:41 because they probably already have it
22:42 for your Microsoft Word subscription you
22:44 had when you were 17.
22:46 it does I don't know like your data's
22:49 already gone I like that ship has sailed
22:52 if you're a spy don't sign up
22:57 um and Claude doesn't seem to work Club
22:59 kind of failed on us pretty bad I wonder
23:01 if it's what if it's back up let's see
23:03 if Cloud's back up
23:06 uh oh it's oh it's back up and it
23:08 actually remembered what I had let's see
23:09 if it can
23:11 here's the crime CSV
23:14 um what are interesting trends
23:22 in the data
23:35 let's see if it goes boom boom
23:40 Claude be slow Lulu
23:45 what are the lawsuit preparation AI
23:49 sites there's one called
23:52 um
23:55 do not pay
23:57 I think it's do not pay.ai
24:00 and it's um
24:04 no it just crashed again failed to fetch
24:07 Claude is sick
24:10 um there's one called do not pay it's
24:12 not really a law preparation website if
24:14 you go to futurepedia.io that's a list
24:17 of like
24:18 it's probably up to four thousand now
24:20 like four thousand AI sites tools
24:24 there's probably something about law
24:26 there that you could you could go find
24:28 something
24:29 somebody left I'm glad I made you laugh
24:31 what's the best way to search PDFs and
24:33 Ai and ask complex questions about the
24:36 content ah there's new stuff and it's
24:39 really exciting it's really good
24:42 um
24:43 so you can do it you can do it two ways
24:46 well you can you can do it a bunch of
24:48 ways I'll show you two ways you can do a
24:49 chat GPT okay
24:53 here we are at chat GPT
24:56 and
24:59 if you pay for GPT plus you get access
25:02 to code interpreter and plugins both of
25:05 these allow you to search PDFs
25:10 um we'll do we'll do plugins first so
25:13 the way plugins work is you go to
25:16 plugins and then you have this list of
25:18 here's all the the plugins I have
25:20 installed
25:22 and then in any given chat session I can
25:24 enable up to three of them so I'm going
25:26 to turn off
25:28 the two I have on and I'm going to turn
25:30 on this one called Web pilot foreign
25:38 what I can do now let's see I gotta go
25:41 find a pdf online somewhere let's go
25:43 find a PDF uh
25:45 let's see Denver
25:49 crime stats
25:53 file type
25:57 PDF
26:06 well that's a teeny little PDF that was
26:09 really Denver is it really does
26:13 how we're doing this
26:15 could this be some real data please all
26:18 right that looks like real data it's I
26:19 mean it's not a ton oh my screen's not
26:21 focused good Lord
26:25 what are the qualifications for this
26:27 channel
26:29 there we go okay so we're gonna grab
26:31 that URL so if you've got a PDF up on
26:35 the old internet somewhere you can just
26:37 say
26:38 tell me uh what this is question mark
26:42 and then
26:43 put that in there
26:47 what
26:53 what is this nonsense
27:00 um let me try something else what is
27:03 here storybine.com
27:05 [Music]
27:09 oh that's weird
27:12 wow the internet is malbehaving tonight
27:16 let's uh hang on let me go try a
27:19 different thing
27:23 ask your PDF that I've used before what
27:27 is in this PDF
27:39 uh
27:42 I'm thinking
27:44 I'm thinking I gotta quit here
27:51 that's feeling malwarey
27:54 old man got malware that looks like
27:59 uh
28:08 um
28:15 121 tabs yes I am a tab hoarder
28:28 free research preview plugins
28:34 um what
28:36 is
28:38 this
28:52 let's see Danver crime
28:59 crime in the city of Denver
29:01 is this the crappy one
29:03 yes
29:05 another better one this one part one
29:08 okay there's that
29:14 let's go back here
29:20 all right
29:22 that looks like some sort of cashy kind
29:24 of malware so I think I'm safe I think
29:27 I'm out
29:30 anyway so now it's going ask your PDF
29:36 and the PDF's reading it the document
29:39 you provided is a report showing the
29:40 crime statistics for the city of Denver
29:44 from August 2019 compared to the same
29:47 period in 2018
29:49 if you have specific questions about the
29:51 content of the report feel free to ask
29:54 um
29:55 can you tell me
29:57 any Trends question mark
30:03 so it's firing off the plug-in again
30:07 reading that document again
30:09 it's got a lot of data but it doesn't
30:11 provide clear things
30:15 incidents increased
30:17 from 3300 to 3400
30:20 simple assault
30:23 went up larceny went up
30:27 motor vehicle theft went
30:30 slightly down so it sort of works so
30:34 that's a plug-in so there's plugins that
30:36 can look at PDFs now let's go look at
30:42 code interpreter so code interpreter
30:46 is flipping mind-blowing
30:49 so we're going to go to kaggle
30:54 oh wait I think I'll go I'll go there
30:56 anyway so kaggle is a place where you
30:58 can go get data
31:03 like data sets
31:09 here we come to save the day
31:14 so I'm good data sets and then maybe
31:18 I'll search for crime
31:21 Denver we'll get a big a big one Denver
31:24 crime data
31:26 and so I'm going to download it so it's
31:28 a 21 megabyte zip archive it's archive
31:32 number five
31:34 and so then what we're gonna do
31:36 the way code interpreter works is you
31:39 now have a little plus icon here so I'm
31:41 going to click on this plus icon
31:46 there's my archive number five
31:49 so I'm just uploading a zip file I'm
31:51 going to say let's
31:53 in this question mark
31:59 oh it's still uploading
32:02 it's 21 megabytes it's a little slow
32:05 what what
32:06 what's actually happening here is is
32:08 this thing when you start interacting
32:10 with it it's actually firing up a
32:12 virtual computer
32:14 and when you see what it does it's just
32:16 insane
32:23 all right so it looks like you uploaded
32:25 a zip file let's let's extract it to see
32:27 what it contains and so it it looks like
32:29 it's firing off a plug-in but if you
32:31 open this
32:32 what it's actually doing is right on
32:34 writing python code
32:36 importing libraries to unzip files
32:38 writing the python code to unzip it
32:41 and then getting it and it says the zip
32:44 file you provided has the following
32:45 files would you like me to inspect the
32:47 contents of any specific file please
32:51 look at all of them
32:54 question mark
32:59 someone needs to clean their computer
33:01 screen because I reach up and touch it
33:02 too much I do too much of this it's bad
33:06 it's bad bad bad seems like there's an
33:08 encoding issue let's try and read the
33:10 file with another encoding such as ISO
33:12 8859-1 also known as Latin
33:17 da
33:20 [Music]
33:21 they've been successfully read
33:26 there's all the rows
33:27 are all the columns
33:31 so it's given a sample it's showing us
33:33 sample data so it makes it makes a
33:35 little table oh what did I do oh dang it
33:41 I was zipping around too much okay let's
33:43 see if we still got it in memory here
33:45 um
33:47 can you tell me any interesting
33:54 Trends in the
33:57 data
34:03 I'm getting that weird thing again
34:05 I wonder if that's some
34:07 some weird ass open AI thing I don't it
34:11 can't be that's got to be some sort of
34:13 malware [ __ ] uh can
34:16 you tell
34:19 can you tell me anything
34:26 interesting about this data
34:31 no something's weird something's weird
34:33 man
34:36 all right
34:37 I think I'm not gonna show [ __ ] tonight
34:39 anyway what what code interpreter will
34:42 do
34:42 is
34:44 um
34:46 it it writes the python code but it will
34:48 analyze it'll analyze the data and it'll
34:52 even create charts and graphs it's
34:54 absolutely amazing so so code
34:56 interpreter right now is probably by far
34:58 the best thing to play with you do have
35:00 to have a open AI subscription
35:04 um
35:08 I tried Charlie but it's not so great
35:10 Shirley I don't know what Shirley is
35:13 thanks Mrs Doubtfire you're welcome
35:16 uh no one can leave they're all
35:18 mesmerized by your shirt yeah exactly
35:20 and my hair I got some [ __ ] Elvis
35:23 action going on up there tonight all
35:26 right
35:27 um do you think a certification is valid
35:28 at this point not for generative ai go
35:31 learn it yourself it's it's just it's
35:33 easy enough to go learn right now
35:36 um and and there's there's not really
35:38 any experts on this if you want to get a
35:40 certificate on things like machine
35:41 learning and work more on the data
35:43 science side of this then sure
35:45 absolutely Pi is great okay cool I
35:48 haven't played with pie that much I just
35:50 played with it a little bit
35:51 it seemed a little overly friendly to me
35:53 but I would imagine that there's some
35:55 sort of settings they're all overloaded
35:57 right now oh that's interesting
36:00 um too slow I love this yep I'm addicted
36:05 um but kudos for Wrangler net uh have
36:09 you tried Bard I have
36:12 would you like my rating I'll be like
36:14 the pizza guy okay Pizza review time
36:17 okay
36:19 um large language model Review Time bard
36:23 1.2
36:26 Bart seem stronger in programming yeah
36:28 it's I think it I I don't know if it's
36:30 stronger than chat gbt4 in terms of
36:33 programming but I think it is it is
36:35 competent enough in programming that
36:37 people can use it because I know I know
36:39 people that I've talked to have said
36:41 they use it he thinks Bart is the worst
36:44 yeah like I I just from from a word
36:46 perspective
36:48 from a a writing perspective it's just
36:50 it's just not anywhere in the same
36:52 ballpark it's not even close to gbt 3.5
36:57 um so not here in Jacksonville Florida
36:59 it's okay lawyers do too I use Bard and
37:02 Pie cool
37:05 um listen
37:06 here's the deal about bart bard
37:08 is a thousand times better than Google
37:12 search so don't get me wrong it's just
37:14 in comparison to chat GPT it's just not
37:17 in the same ballpark
37:20 and I think I'm going to go back to Poe
37:21 right here because that Claude Claude is
37:24 is not happy tonight
37:27 and I don't want to people I don't want
37:28 to send people there if it's buffering
37:30 again it's probably because I switch
37:32 back and forth between the cameras I
37:34 think it buffers then
37:37 uh I sent that message 20 minutes ago I
37:40 know so not only am I unqualified but I
37:43 don't keep up with the questions it's
37:45 like it's like why would anyone come
37:47 here right am I come on people well I
37:51 mean look at the shirt
37:53 surely you can't take me seriously of
37:56 course I can't take you seriously and
37:58 stop calling me surely
38:01 oh he's on a roll tonight that's why
38:03 he's got butter on his pants
38:06 all right
38:08 uh with respect to updated fabricated
38:10 case law a programmer's revenge on lazy
38:13 attorneys nah I wish it were that I wish
38:16 it were that intentional I think it's
38:18 just uh
38:20 I think it's just lazy attorneys sparmy
38:23 just tonight it's true Emilio's wife I
38:25 think this is a nightly thing
38:28 um but I got started out on a
38:30 particularly sour note qualified bitter
38:33 you betcha
38:35 all right have I tried Bard yes I have
38:38 okay I'm back to where I was too much
38:41 fluff no real knowledge I would
38:43 absolutely leave Bo why are you still
38:45 here
38:50 has anyone gotten Freedom GPT to work I
38:54 don't know what Freedom GPT is what is
38:56 it
38:58 freedom
39:02 [Music]
39:04 GPT
39:08 Join the Revolution Freedom GPT
39:13 creating a it's our belief that the most
39:16 important valuable AI platform long term
39:18 is open source
39:19 Freedom GPT Community is working toward
39:21 creating a free and open llm and
39:24 accompanying apps Freedom GPT movement
39:26 today as a user tester code contributor
39:28 cool
39:29 all right it's one of the large it's one
39:32 of the open source large language models
39:34 um and I I suppose you can download it
39:37 for mac and download it for Windows um I
39:39 haven't tried to install it
39:41 um I can't I I stopped I gave up on
39:43 trying to keep up with the open source
39:44 llms right now until they until
39:47 something kind of stabilizes that's
39:48 that's good they're just changing too
39:50 fast
39:53 um I haven't tried chat GPT too much
39:55 okay Roger so
39:57 go there right now and do it go to
40:00 chat.openai.com that's the official
40:02 chatgpt website and go to prompts.chat
40:04 that'll teach you how to prompt it may
40:07 inspire you to
40:08 keep it's worth it to keep messing with
40:11 chat GPT until you get it to do
40:13 something that kind of blows your mind
40:15 like have a Kevin McAllister moment
40:18 and you will so just go there and and
40:21 follow that prompts.chat thing nothing
40:24 wrong with smarmy smarmy just tonight
40:26 with respect to updated okay we talked
40:28 about that
40:29 I would never visit a Meetup of an
40:31 unqualified Mrs Doubtfire I'm right
40:32 there with you why would you why exactly
40:34 it's Rick James not James Brown oh
40:37 uh me neither never ever will there be
40:41 snacks I got pretzels
40:48 who's behind the prompts.chat site I
40:51 don't know some dude dude that started a
40:53 GitHub
40:55 repository and then put it on prompt
40:57 chat it's just good
41:02 not everything's a conspiracy theory
41:04 I just have it there because I like it I
41:07 don't think I don't even know that it's
41:08 being updated regularly but it's still
41:10 good
41:12 and by the way
41:14 you shouldn't need a dry pretzel when
41:16 you're trying to top
41:17 I know better
41:20 I'm a trained professional
41:24 ah
41:26 is the chat from YouTube wait is the
41:29 chat from YouTube not tick tock
41:35 I don't know what you're talking about
41:37 I sent that message 20 minutes ago Bo is
41:39 really upset with things here what AI
41:42 stock is good in the long run I don't
41:44 know I'm not a psychic
41:47 you want me to start reading tarot cards
41:48 we can do that on chat GPT you know
41:51 um do not take Financial advice from an
41:53 out of work actor
41:55 on Tick Tock with a smartphone
41:58 and you're afraid of signing up on chat
42:00 GPT good one karuna thank you that that
42:04 was the right answer by the way so so uh
42:08 yeah I wasn't I wasn't quite quick
42:10 enough I was still worried about my
42:11 qualifications that was the correct
42:13 smarmy response to why are they asking
42:17 for your information
42:20 from Tick Tock that's good that was
42:22 solid I just see clever people make me
42:25 happy
42:26 dum-dums make me not happy
42:32 buffering again what's a plug-in okay
42:35 um
42:36 have you touched on Claude 2 can you
42:38 summarize it in a pine well yeah
42:43 um I went there and I tried to show
42:45 people that you can upload files to it
42:47 and interact with them and it crashed
42:48 twice
42:50 and then and then but also chat gpt's
42:54 crashing and then I went to Pi which is
42:56 the new inflection thing that got funded
42:58 for 1.3 billion dollars and it's sort of
43:00 crapped out and couldn't do tables and
43:02 told me it was coding but wasn't
43:04 producing code so I just and then now
43:08 every time I go to do something on
43:11 um on chat gbt it pops up a window
43:13 complete this puzzle to make sure you're
43:15 human but it's not a real caption so I
43:17 have a feeling of some sort of malware
43:19 [ __ ] so after the live tonight I'm
43:21 going to be running some malware
43:23 software
43:25 who knows
43:27 um oh what's a plug-in Okay so
43:32 I just ate another pretzel because I'm a
43:34 genius
43:37 um but if you're in chat GPT and you go
43:39 to gpt4
43:42 um there's this option for plugins now
43:44 you have to enable this so so there's
43:46 two things two requirements one is you
43:48 have to be you have to have chat GPD
43:50 plus it's 20 bucks a month
43:52 and then when you get here you have to
43:54 go to your settings and go to the beta
43:56 features and turn on plugins you have to
43:58 explicitly turn it on which is kind of
44:00 stupid but whatever
44:02 and then
44:04 the plugins are like
44:07 they're they're basically
44:15 they're little widgets that do stuff and
44:18 some of them do good things and some of
44:20 them do stupid things and a lot of them
44:22 are kind of not don't work great and
44:25 some of them just point you to other
44:27 websites and try to get you to sign up
44:28 for their website
44:30 but the basic idea with plugins is
44:34 you've got a specific thing like here
44:36 I'll I'll show you a good one one that's
44:38 good to demo
44:41 we'll we'll use the instacart plug-in
44:44 and this this is one that that a lot of
44:45 people have used but but it's it's a
44:47 good demonstration so I can say make me
44:50 a meal plan
44:54 um that
44:55 um
44:57 focuses on organic
45:02 um
45:04 organic shellfish
45:11 see there's that protecting your account
45:14 I'm not clicking that button I don't
45:16 know what's going on here let me quick
45:17 quit this again
45:20 and come back
45:22 [Music]
45:25 that's very strange it's about a strange
45:27 I tell you as far as strange if anyone
45:31 let me know down below is that strange
45:34 or is that
45:35 is that me buffering
45:38 I wasn't sure if you were coming tonight
45:40 so I went to your playlist I'm Sorry
45:42 Miss Birch
45:43 uh what kind of Hardware in the near
45:45 future will we need I'll talk about that
45:47 in a second
45:49 has anyone ever seen that um
45:51 that thing I just got that that thing
45:54 popping up
45:57 does that look like malware to anyone
45:58 else
45:59 might just being paranoid anyone Bueller
46:03 Bueller
46:04 Bueller
46:10 [Music]
46:15 door tabs
46:23 all right back to plugins
46:29 we've got instacart there okay make me a
46:32 meal plan
46:34 for three days
46:39 focusing on corn
46:43 no I'm still getting that has anyone
46:45 ever seen this is this what is this only
46:48 the paranoid survive exactly
46:51 can it generate recipes using shards of
46:53 glass and molasses yes
46:55 has anyone seen this anyone anyone no
46:58 all right I'm I'm gonna you know what
47:00 I'm gonna do uh this is probably just an
47:02 edge thing so I'm gonna go to Chrome
47:07 da
47:15 [Music]
47:19 foreign
47:23 chat
47:31 this is a weird night isn't technology
47:33 weird like when it's weird it's just
47:34 weird all over the place
47:38 because it's like I've been doing this
47:39 for a month I've never had chat gbt act
47:41 weird like that but then again I've
47:43 never also gone to a new website
47:48 called claude.ai
47:50 I also never went to a new website
47:53 called pie
47:55 and then I went to someone else's I'm I
47:58 don't know I'm probably being
47:59 I'm probably being a Espionage right now
48:04 all right let's make this a little
48:06 bigger
48:07 let's go to plugins let's turn on
48:12 instacart
48:14 this if the person that asks what's a
48:16 plug-in is still here it's a little
48:18 minor miracle
48:20 um make me a meal plan with
48:25 um nuts and corn
48:50 huh
48:52 maybe that's a real caption from
48:56 from uh open AI
48:59 that's strange I've never seen it before
49:01 very strange
49:03 that's protecting your account prompt
49:05 seems like one of those asking if human
49:07 prom sites yeah I know it looks like a
49:09 capture but it just looks like a a
49:10 really weird janky captcha
49:13 all right so there's that would you like
49:15 me to create okay so I asked it to
49:17 create a um a meal plan
49:20 starring nuts and corn and so
49:24 corn corn nut muffins corn and almond
49:27 salad chicken with corn and cashew
49:29 stir-fry okay so it gave me a nice day
49:31 meal plan and then it says would you
49:33 like to create a shopping list for these
49:34 meals on instacart so I can just say yes
49:36 and here's where the plugin comes in so
49:39 you can interact with Chachi PT as you
49:41 normally would but if you've got one of
49:43 the plugins enabled
49:46 um it will sort of sense when it should
49:48 call the the plug-in and then the
49:51 plug-in does a specific thing in the
49:52 case of instacart it's going to make
49:55 um a shopping list
49:56 and so I could have you know gotten to
49:59 that shopping list in any any you know
50:01 Myriad of ways but I just did it with
50:03 make me a meal meal plan and it was
50:05 smart enough to go to you on a shopping
50:07 list
50:08 and so now if I say
50:10 um take me to the shopping list
50:13 it takes me over to instacart
50:17 and loads up my shopping list and now I
50:21 could just have that delivered to my
50:23 front door
50:24 right so so
50:27 a plug-in's just
50:29 really a hook to a specific website that
50:31 does a specific function like there's
50:33 one for wolf from alpha that does all
50:36 sorts of high-end math
50:37 would you say plug in somewhat narrow
50:40 the need for super specific prompts yeah
50:42 they they can do that because there's
50:44 some there's some prompts that are
50:47 um
50:48 will like rewrite a crappy mid-journey
50:52 prompt for you and give you a better
50:53 mid-journey prompt there's some that
50:55 will do code there's some that will do
50:57 website analysis
51:00 um so so it's not it's not just
51:05 um
51:05 it's it's not just Within
51:09 uh where's where am I what which tab is
51:12 this hold please let me go show you
51:14 another another
51:16 um plug-in
51:17 because it's not just within chat gbt
51:20 the plugins can be external to it
51:23 so there's there's a plug-in called
51:25 stories
51:27 that will make you a little
51:30 um a children's book
51:33 and I don't think they did a
51:36 particularly good job with the prompting
51:37 of the images but I can say make
51:41 me a me a kids book about a big hairy
51:48 monster
51:50 and a tiny
51:53 happy snail
52:01 okay this this can't be
52:04 they can't be doing this
52:09 every time
52:12 they can't be
52:14 some something's up so it fires off the
52:18 um
52:18 plug in
52:20 and now so it says here's the story I
52:22 generated for you Bigfoot and the snail
52:25 an unlikely friendship
52:27 follow the heartwarming heartwarming
52:29 journey of a big hairy monster in a tiny
52:31 happy snail and then it made an image
52:33 that doesn't look like a hairy monster
52:34 or a snail but that's okay and then but
52:37 if I click here it takes me to the site
52:40 storybird.ai which you can go to
52:43 you know outside of this so here's my
52:44 little story so I can flip through my
52:46 pages
52:47 and it's actually generating images for
52:49 the story and it's written the story and
52:52 it's in this you know
52:54 in this site
52:57 for
52:58 you know that's got a kids book and you
53:00 can order the book and so this is a
53:03 little site that someone built it's an
53:04 AI story generator so they just made the
53:07 plug-in essentially as like a marketing
53:09 push to drive people to their site which
53:12 is kind of clever I don't think a lot of
53:13 people are using plugins but but um you
53:16 can use plugins within chat GPT or or
53:18 they can just basically be hooks out to
53:20 other things on the internet
53:23 um
53:24 I don't know what's going on with that
53:26 weird ass capture that seems that seems
53:28 not normal to me
53:34 hang on it sounds like there's an alarm
53:36 going off I'll be back
53:38 oh please oh wait the alarm stopped
53:42 buffering let's see where was I in in my
53:45 questions
53:49 only koala
53:52 uh vacations
53:55 can be found here fictions
53:58 um could you show again where you're
54:00 getting the plug-in from on your screen
54:02 in chat GPT I absolutely can so
54:06 if you go to 3.5 and 4
54:10 when you go to gpt4
54:14 you've got plugins right here if you're
54:16 not seeing that then you need to go to
54:19 your settings
54:22 and beta features
54:26 and turn them on
54:30 so that might be why you're not seeing
54:32 them and then you just see them up here
54:35 and when you select plugins then you get
54:37 this little drop down menu
54:40 and that's where you can see the ones
54:42 you've got installed or you can go to
54:44 the plugin store
54:48 and get them here as well
54:57 how do I load API on chat GPT so to to
55:02 play with the the chat GPT API
55:07 you need to go to a different site you
55:09 need to go to platform
55:16 Dot openai
55:20 .com playground
55:24 playground
55:31 and I spelled it wrong
55:34 platform Dot
55:38 openai.com playground
55:46 so when you come to playground
55:50 um let me make it bigger again you've
55:53 got on the right hand side you've got a
55:54 bunch of different parameters that you
55:56 can set you can you can use different
55:58 modes you can you know you got GPT 4 3.5
56:03 16k 3.5 turbo you have temperature
56:07 you've got maximum length you've got all
56:10 your settings and then under your
56:12 account
56:14 there's view API Keys that's how you get
56:16 your API keys so if if you want to use
56:19 the openai
56:20 API in other applications that's where
56:23 you get your keys from
56:24 and this is where you do your prompt
56:26 crafting if you're if you're doing
56:27 things like automations and things like
56:29 that hello Sonia
56:31 reboot computer yeah I figure I gotta
56:34 reboot the computer that's a good idea
56:36 that's a good idea something something's
56:39 a little jankified
56:42 and because I'm a Mac guy I don't
56:44 I don't restart my computer until [ __ ]
56:47 explodes because that's just how stable
56:50 it is
56:53 I also have like you know hundreds of
56:56 tabs open and things like that do I want
56:58 to save that yes I want to save that
57:01 I don't care about saving that
57:06 all right we're restarting
57:09 that honestly looks like a malware I
57:11 know it does it totally looks like a
57:12 malware so it's probably malware
57:16 whatever hey question for someone who's
57:19 in healthcare who wants to get into AI
57:21 where should I start well if if you're
57:23 just really new to generative Ai and if
57:26 you haven't played with chatgpt start
57:28 there it's why I have it on my screen
57:29 the whole time
57:30 is is um
57:36 is
57:38 that's the place you should start
57:53 and and
57:54 um
57:56 you know in in healthcare you know
57:59 privacy and security is a is a much
58:01 bigger deal so there's probably a bunch
58:03 of different tools that you're going to
58:05 need to use
58:06 um but it depends on what you want to do
58:08 within health care you could just do
58:10 sort of process Improvement on the
58:12 administrative side where you're not
58:14 dealing with Phi and things like that
58:15 where it's not going to be that big a
58:17 deal
58:18 or less of a big deal but if you're
58:21 doing anything with with patient data or
58:23 anything like that then then you're
58:25 going to need to
58:26 involve the IT team
58:30 um
58:31 [Music]
58:42 [Music]
58:53 foreign
59:02 a second I just want to um
59:18 let's see let's go grab a plug-in and
59:21 say
59:27 um
59:28 [Music]
59:36 instacart
59:51 make me a meal plan with meals
1:00:05 me
1:00:16 one day
1:00:30 yes
1:00:34 okay
1:00:36 it doesn't look like it's giving me the
1:00:38 malware capture now but I have a feeling
1:00:40 I have malware I'll run I'll run
1:00:42 something
1:00:45 um I didn't really answer your question
1:00:46 that great about about health care
1:00:48 um I would just start getting AI
1:00:50 literate with chat GPT
1:00:53 um
1:00:54 and then probably start to do some
1:00:56 research about
1:00:58 AI companies or you know companies that
1:01:01 are putting layers on top of chat gbt
1:01:03 that are specific to health care because
1:01:05 again ai's been around for a long time
1:01:07 this generative AI stuff is is kind of
1:01:09 new but in healthcare you because you've
1:01:11 got the privacy and security stuff
1:01:14 um do you also have a Discord I do if
1:01:16 you go to
1:01:18 um
1:01:19 if you go to there oops it's teeny tiny
1:01:23 you can't read it Kyle
1:01:25 Kyle what are you doing Kyle
1:01:29 if you go to the salon.ai
1:01:32 um that's the AI Salon that I created so
1:01:33 we've got a bi-weekly meet up so the
1:01:36 link to the Meetup is there but the link
1:01:38 to the Discord is also there and the
1:01:39 discord's cool you can go in you can
1:01:42 um play with mid-journey you can ask
1:01:44 questions things like that it's it's the
1:01:47 shirt Kyle it's all the shirt it could
1:01:50 be the shirt
1:01:52 um chat GPT does certain things better
1:01:53 while Bard does other things
1:01:56 at least now
1:01:58 yeah I don't again I haven't played with
1:02:01 with Bard enough to really know
1:02:03 Here's my thought about
1:02:06 about Bard and Google they're going to
1:02:09 catch up they invented this [ __ ] and
1:02:11 some of the technology that they've been
1:02:12 showing is
1:02:14 um really really impressive so I don't
1:02:16 doubt that they're gonna catch up
1:02:17 they're just behind right now
1:02:21 an AI engine that uses what's called a
1:02:25 constitutional model I believe that's
1:02:27 Claude that's so anthropic is the
1:02:30 company that it's a bunch of EX open AI
1:02:33 people
1:02:33 that are using what's called a
1:02:36 constitutional learning model
1:02:38 um where instead of human reinforcement
1:02:40 learning to train the models they're
1:02:42 they're using a set of rules that all of
1:02:44 the answers are compared against uh to
1:02:47 see if it passes those those rules and
1:02:50 the rules are things like you know Do no
1:02:53 harm you know increase Prosperity you
1:02:55 know don't don't be evil
1:02:58 but they actually mean it because
1:02:59 they're they're writing it into a
1:03:01 constitution that is programmatically
1:03:03 checking answers against that
1:03:09 what kind of Hardware in the near near
1:03:12 future well we need uh it depends so the
1:03:17 open source Community is
1:03:19 working aggressively
1:03:22 to get very small models
1:03:25 to be very powerful and and probably
1:03:27 over the next year we will have
1:03:30 something that is in the neighborhood of
1:03:32 gpt4 that you can just install on your
1:03:34 phone or your any any sort of laptop or
1:03:36 computer
1:03:38 with no internet connection needed no
1:03:40 Cloud processing needed it'll just run
1:03:42 locally
1:03:44 um if you want to get into training and
1:03:47 and running these larger models locally
1:03:49 then you need to start getting into
1:03:51 things like how much can you afford
1:03:53 right George hotz uh who's the the kind
1:03:57 of Genius programmer dude behind comma
1:04:00 AI the self-driving
1:04:03 car company that's a competitor to Tesla
1:04:06 he's wild he started a company called
1:04:10 tiny Corp and he's creating a computer
1:04:12 called Tiny Box and it's going to be
1:04:14 fifteen thousand dollars and have six
1:04:16 gpus in it so you could have that one
1:04:18 that would be nice
1:04:20 um if you really want to do some heavy
1:04:21 lifting but if you just want to use
1:04:23 these tools
1:04:24 um you know all of these things are
1:04:26 cloud-based so you just go use them on
1:04:28 the cloud and you're using Microsoft
1:04:30 servers at that point and their gpus
1:04:33 um if you want to run things locally on
1:04:36 the Mac side you'll need at least an M1
1:04:38 but probably an the biggest M2 you can
1:04:41 afford is better and same thing on PC
1:04:43 you know the the best GPU and CPU and
1:04:47 throughput you can afford
1:04:49 so because because if you want to get
1:04:52 into training or running things locally
1:04:54 the more the better right now
1:05:00 um
1:05:02 I wasn't sure if you were coming tonight
1:05:04 so I went to your playlist cool I'm late
1:05:08 for class but I finally showed up I was
1:05:09 late for class I was out at a uh a
1:05:12 networking event here in Denver with
1:05:14 some data people
1:05:17 they're geeky
1:05:21 there weren't a lot of X actors in that
1:05:24 bunch
1:05:24 [Laughter]
1:05:30 Mike Chat CPT history didn't load
1:05:33 tonight something's weird something's
1:05:36 weird tonight I don't know what's going
1:05:38 on
1:05:39 maybe there's a DDOS attack from China
1:05:42 China
1:05:45 I had to close out the web browser and
1:05:47 open it again yeah something something's
1:05:49 weird something's up
1:05:51 all right that protecting your account
1:05:53 prompt seems like one of those asking if
1:05:55 you're human prompts on sites I know but
1:05:57 it seems like malware too
1:05:59 um
1:06:00 getting you to teach chat GPT how to get
1:06:03 past captions see again
1:06:08 solid troll
1:06:10 I applaud the work
1:06:12 it
1:06:13 it's almost a compliment and yet somehow
1:06:16 it stings it's good this is this is good
1:06:18 this is why we come here
1:06:20 these are the kind of comments we live
1:06:22 for great hair thank you thank you
1:06:25 yeah I'm like a week past the haircut
1:06:29 and it's you know it's doing all right I
1:06:32 think we got about another three or four
1:06:33 days and the thing just goes [ __ ]
1:06:34 Haywire
1:06:37 laughs
1:06:40 when you say plugins are somewhat wait
1:06:42 let me I'll come back to that hang on
1:06:45 buffering
1:06:47 okay
1:06:53 I'm going to watch Celebrity Jeopardy
1:06:56 perfect
1:06:57 [Laughter]
1:07:01 I love you people you're awesome
1:07:06 got five speculative responses scenarios
1:07:10 to what
1:07:13 oh do I have five speculative responses
1:07:16 tickety tackity all right can you show
1:07:19 zapier please I need to have a bot built
1:07:22 but I'm kind of lost
1:07:24 um
1:07:24 so I'm going to show you two things I I
1:07:26 will show you zapier zapier
1:07:30 here's the deal with no code tools and
1:07:32 low code tools they still require High
1:07:34 logic and they require you to learn
1:07:37 their particular way of not doing code
1:07:40 which is
1:07:41 essentially as complicated as coding so
1:07:44 so no code tools promised to be as as
1:07:47 you know just just add water but it's
1:07:50 [ __ ] okay I'm gonna show you two
1:07:52 things
1:07:55 let me go back to Edge as well
1:07:59 because I just have my
1:08:04 um
1:08:07 [Music]
1:08:13 did I get my Edge what's going on
1:08:33 come on
1:08:35 you can do it
1:08:42 I need an M2 I think all my hard drives
1:08:44 are full
1:08:46 because
1:08:47 I'm a digital hoarder
1:08:49 hoe.com Okay so
1:08:53 one way you can make a bot I don't know
1:08:55 how sophisticated your Bot needs to be
1:08:57 but one way you can make a bot is you
1:08:59 can come to poe.com I don't I think you
1:09:01 can even do this on the free
1:09:02 subscription and you can say create bot
1:09:06 and so I'll say create bot and then I
1:09:09 can name the bot so this could be
1:09:11 AI learning lab
1:09:15 and the bot description is oh let's wait
1:09:17 handle can only include oh AI learning
1:09:22 lab
1:09:24 what's it taken no I didn't do it okay
1:09:26 bot description this is a bot
1:09:30 to
1:09:32 this is a bot where and
1:09:35 unqualified
1:09:38 X actor
1:09:40 X like he knows about Ai and there's bad
1:09:46 typos in there
1:09:48 and then you you select
1:09:50 oh
1:09:53 gpt4 Claude 2 100K oh this is a big deal
1:09:57 so now so so they've added some Bots
1:10:00 within po they've got the Claude 2 100
1:10:03 000 token
1:10:04 limit so you could put in a really long
1:10:07 prompt for the bot here you could make a
1:10:09 pretty sophisticated bot here with that
1:10:11 one
1:10:13 um if you're a non-subscriber it's
1:10:14 limited access but if you're a
1:10:16 subscriber you'll get access to that you
1:10:18 can also use gpt4 I'll just use cloud
1:10:20 instant for now
1:10:22 what I'm going to say
1:10:24 um
1:10:25 act like someone
1:10:28 who doesn't really know about AI
1:10:34 but uses
1:10:38 phrases like
1:10:42 you can make money with chat GPT
1:10:50 and only talks in hyperbole
1:10:59 hyperbolee is that how you spell it I
1:11:01 think so
1:11:03 um
1:11:04 you are the a i
1:11:10 equivalent of a crypto bro
1:11:13 [Laughter]
1:11:21 um
1:11:23 What's this called intro message AI
1:11:27 rocks dude okay sued dude
1:11:32 all right so we just made a bot so I'm
1:11:34 going to say create bot
1:11:35 bot name is already taken okay so I'm
1:11:37 going to do AI learning lab
1:11:40 um
1:11:41 joke
1:11:45 and I'm gonna say
1:11:46 what did why did it not what am I
1:11:49 missing
1:11:50 oh it's too long oh man okay AI learning
1:11:57 let's see
1:12:00 yeah AI learning
1:12:04 um
1:12:09 let's see uh AI
1:12:13 bro
1:12:16 create bot okay
1:12:18 oh bot name is already taken someone
1:12:19 already got it dang it okay a uh AI
1:12:24 brother
1:12:25 creepot
1:12:27 name is already taken I guess all the AI
1:12:29 once okay oh dang it all right hey I
1:12:32 learning
1:12:35 dude
1:12:38 okay
1:12:40 so if you now all go to is anyone still
1:12:42 left here if you know I'll go to poe.com
1:12:47 AI learning oh leaning dude it's not
1:12:50 even learning I misspelled it AI leaning
1:12:52 dude
1:12:53 and type in
1:12:55 um
1:12:57 tell me about chat GPT
1:13:03 what's he say oh man chat GPT is like
1:13:06 the best thing ever it's like a genius
1:13:07 in your pocket you can do anything make
1:13:09 money write articles create content
1:13:11 possibilities are endless chat gpt's the
1:13:13 future I'm telling you man so he just
1:13:16 totally screams everything AI leaning
1:13:18 dude all right so so you could make a um
1:13:24 a bot here so that's that's a way you
1:13:26 can make a bot here and then if you want
1:13:28 to do something on zapier zapier is a
1:13:31 bit more complicated but I'll show you
1:13:32 the the components
1:13:40 [Music]
1:13:42 here we come to save the day
1:13:51 okay so when you get to zapier it starts
1:13:54 you out on a dashboard you're gonna
1:13:56 create a zap
1:13:59 um and and what a zap is is a series of
1:14:03 just think of it like Lego blocks that
1:14:05 are connected that connect different
1:14:07 sites together
1:14:09 and
1:14:12 here's the simple example that I I
1:14:15 showed the other day
1:14:17 so so this is kind of a really simple
1:14:19 zap I've got an input from a Google form
1:14:21 I then take the input from that form I
1:14:24 send that to open AI for gpt3
1:14:28 have it generate some content I then
1:14:31 take
1:14:32 what it gives me back and put that in a
1:14:34 Gmail and send it
1:14:36 and so the way these things work is you
1:14:39 know if I were to create a new one it
1:14:42 gives you like a list of tools there's
1:14:44 like so I could say Google Sheets
1:14:48 and so I could say I'm going to take the
1:14:51 output of gpt3 I'm going to send it in
1:14:54 an email but I'm also going to put it in
1:14:56 a row in a Google sheet so so you can
1:14:59 um
1:15:00 you just sort of add these Lego blocks
1:15:03 and then when you add one in it's
1:15:05 basically like Okay Google form is the
1:15:09 type of block it is
1:15:11 um
1:15:12 it'll give you what what's possible to
1:15:15 to use so in this case when someone puts
1:15:18 a new form response so when someone
1:15:19 fills in the Google form from this
1:15:22 account
1:15:24 in this form
1:15:27 um then I'll get some data and and like
1:15:30 one of those pieces of data is the test
1:15:33 data that I put in there and then I can
1:15:36 take anything from that block and I can
1:15:38 use it in this block and so basically
1:15:41 anything you do in the blocks above can
1:15:42 be used in the blocks below so now I'll
1:15:45 open up the open AI thing and it's like
1:15:48 I'm going to send a prompt
1:15:50 you know from this account
1:15:53 and then here's the prompt I want you to
1:15:55 use the following variables you know
1:15:57 color what is your favorite color that's
1:16:00 the this was the field that I used in
1:16:02 that example form
1:16:04 so that's the thing I'm pulling from
1:16:05 that block above
1:16:07 as a way to include test variables in
1:16:10 the following prompt write a funny poem
1:16:12 about color animal in the style of Edgar
1:16:15 Allan Poe so that was the prompt
1:16:18 and then when I ran the test it gave me
1:16:21 back a dark poem about a frog a green
1:16:24 frog
1:16:26 and
1:16:28 then
1:16:29 I can take that poem
1:16:32 and I can send an email
1:16:35 from this account
1:16:39 and you know from
1:16:42 that person here's the subject of the
1:16:44 email
1:16:45 here's you asked for a poem about blank
1:16:48 here it is and then there's the response
1:16:50 from the second block that's the actual
1:16:53 poem itself and then I hit that and it
1:16:57 will send it will send that and so the
1:16:59 way it works is this first block is
1:17:01 called a trigger
1:17:03 so
1:17:04 this could be you upload a new file to
1:17:08 Google Drive this could be you add a row
1:17:11 to a Google sheet this could be you you
1:17:13 put in a Google form you add a record to
1:17:17 an air table there's there's lots of
1:17:19 different ways you can do inputs but
1:17:20 upon that trigger it fires off all these
1:17:24 other blocks so
1:17:27 I hope that helps that was a little a
1:17:30 little geeky it's a little geeky it's a
1:17:32 little geeky for for The Tick Tock it's
1:17:34 also really hard to show this [ __ ] on a
1:17:35 on a tick tock screen
1:17:39 attack attack
1:17:43 oh chick Jack you're so clever
1:17:47 not enough Clarice
1:17:52 uh not enough chartreuse damn not enough
1:17:55 characters here interesting responses
1:17:57 I'm not sure what that means but cool
1:17:59 thank you for always answering the
1:18:01 questions this is a huge help yep and
1:18:03 that's his name too or her name yep yep
1:18:08 you're welcome I appreciate the nice
1:18:10 words Bing is okay again wait meaning
1:18:13 Chachi BT has Bing back in it
1:18:16 no I don't think so not my little
1:18:20 not in my little action nope not my neck
1:18:23 of the woods
1:18:25 involve the IT team lawyers and Global
1:18:28 Security cabruno listen to carvuno that
1:18:30 she's talking to about the person asking
1:18:32 about health care
1:18:33 I mean in general you should learn how
1:18:35 to use these generative AI tools if you
1:18:38 want to use anything for business
1:18:41 make sure you have your [ __ ] together
1:18:43 because uh this is the wild west out
1:18:45 there right now
1:18:46 use it to MacGyver yourself out of a
1:18:48 locked ice cream freezer that's good
1:18:50 that's solid are you sure Kyle isn't an
1:18:53 AI Avatar the hair looks so real it's
1:18:56 gpt5
1:18:58 oh
1:19:00 this is one of my better toupees
1:19:04 are those plugins free plugins are not
1:19:07 free right now um you have to I mean you
1:19:09 don't have to play pay for them
1:19:10 individually
1:19:12 um I think some of them probably take
1:19:14 you to a site where you have to have a
1:19:15 subscription as my guest
1:19:18 um
1:19:18 I don't know if open ai's got any rules
1:19:21 about that but um
1:19:24 the plugins will be free when Bing
1:19:28 supports them when they when they launch
1:19:29 Live Microsoft has said that they're
1:19:32 going to support plugins
1:19:34 do you have a course not yet but what I
1:19:36 do have if you're curious if you're
1:19:38 interested in a course
1:19:43 [Music]
1:19:52 [Music]
1:19:55 okay
1:19:57 what I have is I have a course graphic
1:19:59 so
1:20:01 so last week some folks said hey you
1:20:05 should do a workshop if you did a
1:20:07 workshop I'd take it so I put together a
1:20:09 graphic and I put together a survey so
1:20:14 if you go to linktree
1:20:16 slash real Kyle Shannon there's a link
1:20:18 tree there the first link on it is a
1:20:21 survey that's just three questions about
1:20:23 if I were to do a workshop what would
1:20:25 you want it to be
1:20:27 um so if you're interested in a course
1:20:28 Chris
1:20:29 um
1:20:30 go fill out that form
1:20:32 um I haven't decided yet if I'm going to
1:20:34 do one I think I might it's just it's a
1:20:36 lot of work and I have a lot of stuff
1:20:37 going on so
1:20:38 um
1:20:39 I I just want to make sure that like I
1:20:41 don't want to waste your time I don't
1:20:43 want to waste my time I don't want to do
1:20:45 something that that isn't as valuable as
1:20:47 possible so that's that's why that's
1:20:49 there so if you want me to do a course
1:20:50 cool
1:20:52 um happy to consider it if you would
1:20:54 though just go to link tree slash real
1:20:56 Kyle Shannon and fill out that survey
1:20:59 that would help a lot
1:21:08 I'm a big fan in healthcare one could
1:21:11 become a joint commission consultant
1:21:13 ensuring Healthcare compliance that's
1:21:15 actually a really good idea
1:21:17 I'm telling you I mean the the reason to
1:21:20 get AI literate right now is everyone's
1:21:23 going to be looking for people that have
1:21:25 a [ __ ] clue and and no one's an
1:21:28 expert right now there's there's people
1:21:30 that are experts in machine learning and
1:21:32 building these models there's no one
1:21:34 that's an expert in how do you implement
1:21:36 these models the the generative AI stuff
1:21:39 kind of this the new stuff post you know
1:21:42 post November of last year
1:21:45 so all mundane stuff for us I'm not sure
1:21:48 what that is in reference to possibly
1:21:50 wow
1:21:52 Hots was awesome on Lex's pod he was
1:21:56 he's so nuts if you ever watched George
1:21:59 hot's program you want to feel inferior
1:22:01 as a human go watch George hot's program
1:22:04 go watch his YouTube where he's
1:22:06 programming
1:22:07 the the man it's the only thing more
1:22:09 impressive than watching Hots program is
1:22:11 watching chat gbt just like dump out a
1:22:13 bunch of code but he's a human and he
1:22:16 does it that fast
1:22:19 all right wish I was still up in Denver
1:22:21 would love to make a meet up uh joint we
1:22:23 we do them online as well so so when we
1:22:25 do the in person we also do it on Google
1:22:27 meet so you can join and there's also if
1:22:30 you go to the the salon.ai website
1:22:34 um there's also a link to our YouTube
1:22:36 channel
1:22:37 um and all the back uh meetings are
1:22:40 there and there's we've had some really
1:22:41 good speakers we had um John Knack who's
1:22:44 a senior AI guy from Adobe was was
1:22:46 showing off Adobe stuff before they
1:22:48 launched Firefly that was cool
1:22:51 um and and we've had we've had some
1:22:53 really interesting people
1:22:55 um so so yeah go there
1:22:57 go there go there go there
1:23:02 fun stuff
1:23:06 took last in spelling oh oh the burns
1:23:09 are coming hot and heavy tonight
1:23:14 never stop acting my friend never I will
1:23:18 never stop acting this is the time this
1:23:22 is the place
1:23:24 are you ready
1:23:26 are you qualified
1:23:28 I didn't think so
1:23:30 no
1:23:37 great question by the way
1:23:40 can't even make a username forget this I
1:23:43 took last in spelling numb bets
1:23:46 101 101
1:23:48 Mike Rose on a roll what are you doing
1:23:50 like stand up Mike
1:23:55 me what up nerds hey Sadie it's a hymn
1:23:59 oh yep is a hymn okay yep that's good to
1:24:01 know
1:24:02 yep to him
1:24:05 I signed up for Photoshop beta awesome
1:24:07 generative fill is amazing
1:24:11 do you have a copy
1:24:13 do you have to copy to the other block
1:24:17 no for for
1:24:20 um for zapier
1:24:22 no let me okay let me I'll show you
1:24:25 shouldn't be this [ __ ] confusing but
1:24:27 that's that's the problem with these no
1:24:29 code tools is that they require you to
1:24:30 be a [ __ ] engineer to figure out
1:24:32 their interface okay
1:24:35 so
1:24:38 so once you have your input set up and
1:24:40 and you kind of test you you know you
1:24:42 test the trigger I just had one field in
1:24:45 there that that
1:24:46 asked for a color so so I knew I knew
1:24:49 that that that's the right field but it
1:24:51 gives you all this Gobbledy [ __ ] you
1:24:53 just gotta kind of ignore all this the
1:24:55 the interface to this is just really bad
1:24:56 so but what I know now is that whenever
1:25:01 someone puts in something into that form
1:25:05 it's going to trigger this event and and
1:25:07 I know that I've got access to to that
1:25:10 thing so the way you do it is
1:25:14 okay
1:25:15 I'm now going to create an open AI
1:25:17 prompt or like yeah send a prompt to
1:25:21 open AI
1:25:22 um and there's a chat GPT one as well
1:25:24 this is the the gpt3 dolly whisper one
1:25:27 there's also a chat GPT one
1:25:29 so I'm going to send a prompt
1:25:31 from this account and then the action is
1:25:34 I'm using the DaVinci 3 model
1:25:37 and when you're writing the prompt so
1:25:39 you see that I've got the prompt in here
1:25:41 see how there's this you know this field
1:25:44 so I'll get rid of that so I want you to
1:25:47 to use the following variables color
1:25:49 colon blank and and I need to actually
1:25:51 put the variable there so if you notice
1:25:54 down below here
1:25:56 um
1:25:57 I've got all of this all of these
1:25:59 different pieces of data from that form
1:26:02 like when it was created when it was
1:26:04 last submitted who's the response what's
1:26:06 the respondent's email you know a bunch
1:26:08 of different stuff none of that's really
1:26:10 relevant to me the only one that's
1:26:11 relevant to me is what's your favorite
1:26:14 color green was the sample data so I'm
1:26:17 going to go grab that and click on it
1:26:19 and then you'll see that it added it
1:26:22 into my prompt up here
1:26:25 so
1:26:27 so that's how you add that thing in you
1:26:29 don't need to copy and paste it you just
1:26:31 you add it from the list and then so now
1:26:34 when I go down to Gmail
1:26:37 now I can I can bring in variables from
1:26:40 the form but also from this block into
1:26:43 this block
1:26:44 so when I go to create the body of my
1:26:47 email
1:26:50 again I'll get i'll get rid of this
1:26:53 green thing here
1:26:55 and I can go to you know new form I'm
1:26:58 going to scroll to the bottom I'm going
1:26:59 to pick the green one and that adds that
1:27:01 in there
1:27:03 and then in order to get the the the
1:27:05 open AI poem that it wrote
1:27:09 I'm going to go down here to open AI so
1:27:11 that's the this is pulling information
1:27:13 from that second block
1:27:15 and so now here's all of that stuff and
1:27:17 somewhere in here is the poem
1:27:20 a silly frog of green right here
1:27:23 and so I grab that and then that stuck
1:27:26 that in the thing and now that's in and
1:27:28 and now
1:27:29 that's how you stick the the variables
1:27:31 in so
1:27:36 um
1:27:37 your forehead has grown
1:27:41 oh
1:27:46 my forehead has grown
1:27:49 solid troll solid solid troll
1:27:53 is it a compliment well
1:27:56 it's not a bad thing to have a large
1:27:57 forehead
1:28:00 your forehead has grown
1:28:02 it's kind of a hair joke
1:28:05 could be a compliment about the mass of
1:28:08 my brain
1:28:09 could be something about the hairline
1:28:11 receding you see what I'm saying solid
1:28:14 troll yep solid just heard you talked
1:28:17 about a bot while I was cooking what can
1:28:20 the bot do if you go to poe.com
1:28:24 slash AI leaning dude
1:28:29 because I misspelled learning
1:28:33 and then you ask it about AI it will
1:28:36 scream at you how awesome AI is like a
1:28:39 crypto bro
1:28:47 uh what are your qualifications I got
1:28:50 nothing do you have to copy the other
1:28:52 blog okay regarding the bot you've shown
1:28:54 is that able
1:28:56 to integrate Facebook in it I need a bot
1:28:59 that can
1:29:00 um
1:29:00 to integrate Facebook in it
1:29:03 do you mean to put the bot in Facebook
1:29:09 I don't quite know what you mean uh
1:29:11 probably zapier is the way to go
1:29:15 what's up amigo Rob the AI guy peace man
1:29:18 what's happening
1:29:19 Please spell George hotz I think it's
1:29:21 hotz
1:29:23 hang on
1:29:27 Lex
1:29:29 Freed Man
1:29:31 George hotz h-o-t-z
1:29:37 that's awesome what did you say there
1:29:42 I'll check it out looking forward to it
1:29:44 Kyle all right yeah awesome awesome yeah
1:29:48 come to the uh come to the next Salon I
1:29:51 forget who our speaker is but we have a
1:29:52 good one interact with my auction site
1:29:55 member deem winner and take screenshots
1:29:58 of the winner
1:30:00 I think that might be an ad for your
1:30:02 service don't we don't advertise in here
1:30:05 except for my giant nightly ad for open
1:30:10 AI
1:30:11 why they're not why someone from open AI
1:30:14 hasn't reached out to me and go uh sir
1:30:16 can we send you a Starbucks
1:30:18 Coffee Card gift card is beyond me the
1:30:22 the Leaning lab amazing that was
1:30:25 available exactly
1:30:27 uh AI leaning dude
1:30:32 um
1:30:33 I'll have to try that next time I've
1:30:34 only done mid-journey
1:30:36 um can you also show your Discord again
1:30:38 go to
1:30:42 um I can show you my Discord or I assume
1:30:44 you mean the address go to the salon.ai
1:30:46 and there's a link tree there with a
1:30:48 link to the Discord
1:30:55 [Laughter]
1:30:56 [Music]
1:31:00 great job you've been live for 90
1:31:02 minutes
1:31:04 definitely wasn't an ad as I hit the
1:31:06 character limit well
1:31:12 oh man all right listen I gotta I'm
1:31:15 gonna run my machine is is just the tech
1:31:18 gods are weird tonight I have a feeling
1:31:20 my machines infected with some sort of
1:31:22 malware [ __ ] I want to go fix that
1:31:24 before I go to bed and
1:31:27 um
1:31:28 I'm gonna Boogie on out of here nice
1:31:30 hanging out with you all tonight
1:31:32 um you know for those of you expecting
1:31:34 someone qualified
1:31:36 um I'll try to come up with
1:31:37 recommendations for other
1:31:39 AI channels
1:31:42 peace everybody thanks Eric
1:31:45 see you later
