13. 2:48the once interim CEO what did she last 36 hours um maybe not even so she wrote a letter and as of
14. 3:04this morning 540 people had signed up on it out of 770 and by this evening it was like 740 people out of 770 or higher than that
15. 3:15like 95% of the staff signed this letter that basically said they walk if the board doesn't resign um I don't know how a company
16. 3:28survives that if that like even if half of them honor that so apparently Sacha nadala is the CEO of Microsoft is actually
17. 3:42negotiating with the board and I you know is the intermed intermediary um still trying to get Sam back they they interviewed uh SAA on
18. 3:53Bloomberg today I watched that interview with uh Emily Chang on Bloomberg and you know he's like yeah we'll support him
19. 4:02you know they if they want to get their [ __ ] together and go back we'll support him there like we're in with Sam we're
20. 4:08in with open AI if Sam's working for us and then we're working with open AI That's cool but also hey you know these
21. 4:15large language models are cool but we're also really good with small language models smls and so he basically said
22. 4:24we're not relying on open AI they he also said they got to get their governance [ __ ] together which basically
23. 4:31means if he comes in and saves the day he's going to make damn sure that Microsoft is protect protected from this
24. 4:36in the future he said we can't have this uh unpredictableness so oh man what a crazy cow of day say hi everybody um so what we do in the AI
25. 4:50learning lab here other than talk gossip is uh is is we talk about chat GPT has been the the big thing lately because of
26. 4:58the GPT and because of the multimodal there's there's just there's so much to unpack just with chat gp4 but it's a little it's it's it's a
27. 5:09little uh stunted because they closed access to new um new subscriptions to chat gp4 so I kind of feel shitty
28. 5:21showing something that not everyone can get but I'm happy to do it so I'll take this wherever you want to go if you want

40. 7:48things oh so so one of the things that I showed in this here Channel about two or three weeks before the new version of chat GPT came
41. 8:00out that had gpts in it there were a whole bunch of folks in here that wanted to know how to make bots on
42. 8:07PO and so we did that and those were cool and as as all of this stuff's playing out it initially looked like it was Ilia
43. 8:16who was the chief scientist or is the chief scientist I don't know whatever it's one of the board members and it looked like Ilia was the
44. 8:26one that staged this coup but then Ilia when they when the employees signed the we're going to quit if you don't if the
45. 8:32board doesn't dissolve itself Ilia was on that list he's number 12 on that list so it's looking increasingly like um Adam
46. 8:41D'Angelo might be the board member that initiated this who's Adam D'Angelo you ask he's the CEO of Po now remember what what they said was
47. 8:56Sam didn't tell us enough right basically like Sam didn't tell us what he was planning so apparently when when they when they released the
48. 9:11gpts and the interface remember when I said boy the GPT interface looks a lot like Po I didn't realize Adam D'Angelo was on open ai's [ __ ]
49. 9:21board so apparently Adam was a little pissed aren't we at 750 employees now yeah I think we are it was 740
50. 9:29when I left work it just went up all day it was like was 540 then it was 600 then it was 630 then it was 700 then it was
51. 9:39740 now I guess it's 750 751 yeah it's it's like I want to know who like the 17 people are that aren't
52. 9:47on the list those are just your Slackers that they they called in sick today they they haven't been paying attention to the
53. 9:54news you always got you always got some you know in your small little your small little company of uh of
54. 10:05770 people you're always going to have 20 that are just not there even in a a company like open AI how the hell is this not a blatant
55. 10:15conflict of interest yeah exactly exactly opena offered a merger with anthropic over the weekend to get their
56. 10:22CEO yeah Ted that's uh Dario Dario uh amader amader something like that um yeah Dario is the one that made
57. 10:35gpt3 and then he left to form anthropic because he didn't like the way open and open AI was doing their human
58. 10:41reinforcement learning and he had another idea and so he started anthropic and so Claude is probably the single closest competitor to chat
59. 10:50GPT and so yeah over the weekend they they reached out to Dario and said hey bud how would you like to come back and
60. 10:56run this thing he was like uh yeah I'm good I'm good I'll just be over here with my Stable semi-stable
61. 11:08Company you guys you guys work that out and you let me know when you want to get back to competing it's marketing it's always
62. 11:15marketing rise in the intern yeah so anyway so the PO thing is really interesting so yeah there there's a conflict of interest there
63. 11:24um there there's just there's all sorts of rumors the the fact that the fact that the board hasn't stated any reason why they booted
64. 11:35him is really suspicious right it's it's I mean it's just suspicious in that I assume one or more of them are just
65. 11:42lawyering up because they they know they're potentially on the hook for some some big ass lawsuits so that that's probably why
66. 11:53um why it's kind of stalemated right now is you know this this is probably just the lawyers are earning their keep
67. 12:03so anyway so what we can do here wait I tried to share a custom GPT with my team when they click on it the link it says it's
68. 12:12not supported in iOS H I think iOS is still working
69. 12:27with with the IOS app or with with the browser on iOS because you should have them try both like I've still got um yeah I've still
70. 12:48got gpts on iOS but I it's possible
71. 13:03huh I don't know I would say I would say try the IOS app and try a browser in

76. 13:56GPT but not sure after the update date it wasn't that Claude was better than chat GPT I still think chat gp4 is
77. 14:06by far the best writing tool um like not even close but claude's better better at certain things if you put in Long
78. 14:14documents Claud seemed better at dealing with them but all of them are kind of shitty at long form documents
79. 14:23and you you got to all of these things right now you kind of have to massage them so so what what to do Mr K is
80. 14:31actually this would be interesting I mean as a teacher for you what would be interesting is just do an experiment I
81. 14:37you know what I'll do I'm going to go I'm going to go flip screens here this probably going to stall the the stream
82. 14:43out for a second I exported my data prompts out of open AI today just in case the bottom drops out didn't want to
83. 14:52lose them if the bottom drops out yeah so actually that's a good idea let me show that too let's let's go let's go

87. 15:51you're feeling like this thing is unstable go ahead and Export that I personally am not not all that worried
88. 15:59because I think this goes one of two ways um they crash and burn it and Microsoft ends up acquiring all of the
89. 16:09employees and after a year or two the tech and and it it's probably even going to be like well you work for Microsoft
90. 16:16now you're just working on the tech so that's a possibility the other possibility is the unionization of open
91. 16:25AI employees over the weekend where basically all of them said we quit unless this board goes away um is successful and the board goes
92. 16:36away and they put in a new board and Sam and Greg come back and SAA says yeah okay go patch up your little company there
93. 16:46we'll give you two weeks get your [ __ ] together and you know and we're back on track um I think I think the the one
94. 16:54where everyone quits and goes and works for Microsoft and it's kind of of a slow you know throws of death kind of thing
95. 17:02for for open AI um and they just go back to being a research lab they'll they'll dump some of that techn they they'll
96. 17:09sell some of that technology out or something something like that like I'm I'm not worried about it going away
97. 17:14Microsoft is not going to let their 10 billion investment and and to be clear the 10 billion do they invested is
98. 17:24um is is like the tip of the iceberg of what they're spending they're they're rolling co-pilot into everything they do
99. 17:33it's Incorporated across the stack it's in Azure cloud services it's in you know uh GitHub co-pilot it's in it's in
100. 17:43everything so they're not going to let it they're not going to let it die now are they going to hedge their bets also

121. 21:12matter is he important to the company and if yes why who Sam wman yes he's very important to the company for a couple of reasons
122. 21:24um Sam was was effectively the um the face of the AI movement for all of AI because chat GPT launched a year ago
123. 21:42on November 30th and here let me flip these I'll get i'll get back to the Mr K if you hang out I'm going to I'm going to give you a
124. 21:52cool assignment you like homework I'm going to give you homework um but Sam Alman was was ostensibly the face of generative AI um
125. 22:02for the business world and and he certainly rep represented open AI he was trusted he's softspoken he's intelligent
126. 22:09he's keenly aware of the responsibility of what he's creating at least in what he talks right like he's at least
127. 22:20thoughtful about it where a lot of other CEOs are just like you know Brazen kind of it's all good or it's all bad or you
128. 22:26know it should be open source like you know Elon Musk you know I should all be open source so so Sam was that Sam was also
129. 22:35very obviously trusted and liked as the leader of open AI I think Ilia was jealous of that like there were tensions between Sam and Ilia
130. 22:48apparently um but yeah leaders make a difference leaders make a difference and when and when he gets fired and you have
131. 23:0097% of the company say that if he stays fired we're leaving yeah he's pretty important so if you got here late and didn't hear that
132. 23:13so this morning today's Monday right yeah this stuff's moving so fast so this morning the employees um led by Myra who
133. 23:23was the interim CEO for a day and a half um wrote a letter that basically said if the board does not disband
134. 23:33itself um we're leaving and by the end of the day 700 and like all but 15 people out of 7770 said that they're going to leave
135. 23:47the company so yeah it makes a difference if 97 12% of your people leave because one dude left left actually two him and Greg it's a big
136. 24:03deal um you know some of the safety folks are saying that you know they're doing it on on purpose they want it they want to
137. 24:14tank the company the ironic thing is they're going to end up accelerating it right cuz cuz then it's going to be Sam
138. 24:20is going to be untethered by the nonprofit entity he's just going to be working for a Microsoft owned research organization
139. 24:28where he's got all of the money he wants he's got all of the runway he wants he can go accelerate the [ __ ] out of this
140. 24:34they know what they they know how to get to what they built even if they don't get the open AI technology so especially if he's got 97%
141. 24:44of the staff cuz SAA basically said yeah come on over we'll house you okay let's get back to this thing
142. 24:52okay so if you're new to this this year this world of this stuff um still the best by far in my opinion is chat
143. 25:01gp4 yes it seems like everything's going to fall apart and explode right now I don't think it's going to fall apart and
144. 25:07explode right now Microsoft is not going to let that happen all right I'm just going to say something terrible but
145. 25:1497.5 is Jim Jones level numbers you know Pate you're not wrong you're not wrong um but it's also it came so out of left
146. 25:26field and and there is no clear reason why they fired him so right so I think I think some amount of that is is just the
147. 25:36circumstance right um I don't I don't think any leader is 97.5% you know well-loved and liked I think a lot of this is
148. 25:47circumstance where it just seems like surreal that this is happening so so and you know you've got sort of follow
149. 25:55honors and things like that like it started out at 500 100 out of the 770 signed up right away and then the rest

157. 27:01you do have to put in your credit card but it's they give you like 18 bucks in credits or something like that or at
158. 27:05least they used to um if you're just doing you know a little bit of prompting here and there um you're not going to
159. 27:12it's not going to cost you much at all um I don't think my playground bill has ever been more than $9 um so so that's just another option
160. 27:22if the front end of chat GPT goes down for whatever reason I'm sure the the back end will be there for it's at least a backup okay now so
161. 27:31here's what I'd recommend you do take a pro first time caller long time listener that's good grard gamer solid
162. 27:40so so what I would recommend for everyone to do is take a prompt that you've done that that you've that you've
163. 27:47had some good success with in chat GPT and try it in all these other in all these other large language models so
164. 27:53there's eight of them that I'm going to show you there's Claude so Claude is is the one with Dario that's that's the
165. 27:59exop AER that they apparently offered the the CEO ship this weekend and he turned them down you've got grock from
166. 28:07from Twitter from xai um that's not out yet but it's coming you got Bard from Google which is good but not great but
167. 28:17when they release Gemini sometime in the first quarter probably going to be great and then you've got Microsoft co-pilot
168. 28:23now Microsoft co-pilot I'm going to make this yellow now cuz I got a little my little color coding here is if it's yellow that means it's
169. 28:32important so why co-pilots now important is that's Microsoft's version of chat GPT and they've rebranded it it used to
170. 28:44be called Bing chat and you can still get it through Bing but but this is the Standalone chat GPT 4 kind of interface
171. 28:52so you can upload images to it it can um create images it's it's got all the gp4 stuff the challenge I have with co-pilot
172. 29:04is that the safety guard rails on it are pretty egregious so like if you are a smartass with it it'll shut down the
173. 29:12conversation it's just it's just janky it it's just I don't like it but that's a good backup for chat GPT Claude is
174. 29:20also a good backup Claude is probably in terms of quality the next best thing to chat GPT for and it's also got a 100,000
175. 29:29token context window which basically means you can put in Long prompts and have long conversations um so does chat gp4 now so
176. 29:37so co-pilot Claude and chat gp4 all have long context Windows now okay then we've got Pi now Pi is good if you want to have
177. 29:53conversational um gpts convers if you want to talk to your gpts Pi's really good at that so get the IOS app if you have an an iOS device
178. 30:05then you got perplexity which is really good for research it does uh citations really well you got po so
179. 30:13po I always was was a little soft on them like I I was like yeah I don't quite know why they're on the list but the CEO of quara is Adam
180. 30:25D'Angelo he's the one on the open AI board that it looks like was the ring leader of firing Sam Alman and it seems
181. 30:33like there was a little bit of uh professional ego [ __ ] going on with the the Bots with with uh open Ai gpts and
182. 30:44and pose bots so so they are direct competitors for these agents that you can build p is always good I like mine
183. 30:52with vanilla ice cream it's very good and then you got llama 2 uh and this is if you go to labs. perplexity doai or
184. 31:00you can go to Po Po's you can play with the Llama models at po um so all eight of these Claude grock Bard co-pilot Pi perplexity llama 2 and
185. 31:13po are all things that you should at least be trying and what's a good experiment is you take something that
186. 31:20you've got dialed in with chat GPT and go do use the exact same prompt or set of prompts or conversation
187. 31:28in um in all of these different models someone just said Bard's real time connections has improved that doesn't
188. 31:35surprise me so Bard and and uh co-pilot are connected to the internet Claud is not po there there's one of the model one of
189. 31:47the Bots there is pies connected to the internet perplexities connected to the internet llama is not so anyway so go
190. 31:55play with all those and then you won't feel quite so out of control there's lots of options lots of options top of
191. 32:03the hour IGS present very nice very nice very nice okay get ready to screenshot now I'm going to just go through these

193. 32:21Firefly um so co-pilot is the new Bing that's correct Mary Mary co-pilot is the new branding for anything that is chat
194. 32:30GPT inside a product what about my quilt how can I regenerate that you can regenerate your quilt on PO you can regenerate it on co-pilot

196. 32:56GPT it should be mentioned that llama is completely available as open source yeah it's a good point you can run it locally

198. 33:10really good good uh thought um llama 2 This was meta's um kind of chat gpt3 competitor and they just released it
199. 33:22open source to the world or commercially available to the world it's a it's a free commercial license unless you have
200. 33:2770000 million customers and it's completely unrestricted meaning it doesn't have any safety guard rails or
201. 33:34there's versions of it without that there's an entire open-source Community built on top of things like llama 2 and
202. 33:43a bunch of the other um large language models that are unrestricted so if you're geeky or if you work with a technical team or and
203. 33:52you want options to chat GPT and open AI um go to Reddit and just go to op source llm that stands for large language model
204. 34:02ah the Llama site which one is good for research there there appear wait at the Llama site which one is good for
205. 34:11research there appear to be lots of options I don't cam I don't know the um the open- source world all that well
206. 34:20there's all sorts of fine-tuned models out there um you're just going to have to geek out and I would imagine
207. 34:27you you know what you could probably find Cam is if you go to um if you go to Google here let's go do this let me see if we can go find
208. 34:41something I'm going to go to Google so here's a cool trick to find
209. 34:55gpts go to Google type in this site colon chat. open.com I'm just going to click on it
210. 35:10because I've done it before this is now all of the gpts that people have made Watson X um possibly Jason I don't know
211. 35:23how good it is I I haven't heard a [ __ ] thing about IBM and Watson X other than they're trying to resurrect
212. 35:32the brand after Watson Health crashed and burned they're IBM so they have a lot of smart people there but whether or not
213. 35:40they have good uh large language model there I'm not sure um but listen it's it's probably worth playing with

219. 37:06Reddit and just just start start hanging out in the open source Community go watch YouTube videos things like that if you want to do

221. 37:22with then you have these are the image things to play with Dolly mid Journey Leonardo and Firefly so screenshot that
222. 37:29let me give you a second there so these are different options for um image generation the image generation
223. 37:41in chat GPT is really good again um co-pilot microsoft.com that uses dolly3 so you can do dolly3 inside chat GPT you
224. 37:53can also do it inside co-pilot that's they're both dolly3 mid journey is the best from a quality perspective but it can't do text really
225. 38:00well Firefly is commercially good because it hasn't been trained on any copywritten images so if you're in a if
226. 38:06you're in a company um the Adobe generative AI stuff is is likely your path and then Leonardo is good if you
227. 38:14want to geek out and if you really want to geek out go look at the underlying Tech behind Leonardo that's stable
228. 38:19diffusion and get automatic 11-11 where does one access links to your gpts okay so I'll show you that in a second I'll I'll show you the

234. 39:26with it yet but it looks like they've released or they're rolling out motion brush so the three things on the left

236. 39:44really flipping cool where you you paint over an object in in a scene and it will just apply motion to that object so you
237. 39:52could just put motion on someone's eyeballs so their eyeballs are looking like this or a boat going across an
238. 40:00ocean all right um hey Jen is that one's yellow because go to labs. hen.com upload a video of yourself speaking
239. 40:08English or whatever your native language is and watch what that thing does it's insane um 11 Labs is synthesize your own

386. 1:03:56that'll help you make drinks and and take we'll take classic drink recipes and give them a Vegas twist and so I created the Sin City
387. 1:04:07sipper and so it's got some pre-prom questions here like how do I make an oldfashioned show me a fancy Margarita
388. 1:04:14what's a Twist on a Moscow Mule upgrade a martini or I can just type in um make me a swell holiday libation for
389. 1:04:29Thanksgiving and Sin City sipper will oblige and so sometimes it'll give you the recipe first sometimes it gives you
390. 1:04:37the image first but it generates the image of the the recipe it's about to give you and these are staggeringly good
391. 1:04:45images like they're really accurate I used to bartend and these are actually like really accurate to what the drink
392. 1:04:52that they the recipe they give you will actually look like so let's hopefully the image generation is functional

424. 1:10:04if if you're doing something like this there's only so so many ways you can interface this but um you have a
425. 1:10:11description of your Bot you have your prompt so instructions is your prompt you have conversation starters which are
426. 1:10:17those pre-written questions you've got knowledge which is knowledge is a big deal and po just added this as
427. 1:10:24well knowledge is if you've written a book you could upload a PDF of your book and then create a bot that that
428. 1:10:32um responds with the knowledge from your book Mr Kay who's who's in here sometimes he was been in here tonight
429. 1:10:38earlier he might still be here um he took all the curriculum information from his school like you know whatever the
430. 1:10:46guide the guidelines are for creating curriculum and he put that into a GPT and created a curriculum Builder for his
431. 1:10:54fellow teachers amazing amazing so the the the knowledge stuff's really good the other thing you can do on these gpts
432. 1:11:01you can turn on or off all of the capabilities of gp4 so it's connected to the internet you can turn that on or off
433. 1:11:08it can make images you can turn that on or off um code interpreter is this really powerful thing within gp4 that
434. 1:11:15allows you to do data analysis you can turn that on or off and then if you're really geeky you can add actions with apis so
435. 1:11:24you can make fullon fullon fullon applications with no coding and not low coding no coding because while I could
436. 1:11:35write all this in here and if if I know how to prompt I can put in really sophisticated prompts you don't have to
437. 1:11:41you flip over to create mode and this is basically just like chat GPT that you can talk your app into
438. 1:11:49existence literally does it work on the plus version yes chat GPT plus is as so long as you have access to gp4 you've
439. 1:11:58got access to this um and the the drag right now you said you can add books yes I'll show you how to do that Debbie it's
440. 1:12:06it's it's remarkable it's it's remarkable um in fact you know what I'll do I'll do
441. 1:12:20one I'm trying to think how how this would be used yeah if you have a PDF of a book you just put it in there I did one for

445. 1:13:02construction site next to her house and they're violating all these codes so we made her a Denver city building code GPT
446. 1:13:12that she can if they're doing something weird she can say hey is this a violation of code and it says if it's a
447. 1:13:17violation of code or not and then cites the part of the code that they're violating so and then and then she can
448. 1:13:24use it she can say write me a letter to the city talking about what they did and what code they violated and it just does
449. 1:13:32it so yeah so it's remarkable so here's how we do this there are limits to what you can add no military adjacent

503. 1:24:05create that thing is just not working right dang it additionally what I want you to create for each exercise that you give
504. 1:24:17someone I want you to generate an image that represents that exercise period I want the style of the image to be like a
505. 1:24:27medical diagram and I want the image to be as accurate as possible displaying the recommended exercise all
506. 1:24:46right need powerful GPU and Source training data though no you don't not not for making these you're using
507. 1:24:55all of their inferences of gpus up in the Microsoft cloud this you can do this on any old browser you can do this on a
508. 1:25:03phone like this this GPT PT can be done on a you can use this on a phone if you want to make your own large language
509. 1:25:10model you need massive amounts of of hardware and and Cycles but if you're going to do something with open source
510. 1:25:19then you need things like that yeah yeah data training is not for the F of heart exactly Pate um so so GPT the p in GPT is pre-trained
511. 1:25:32generative pre-trained Transformer is what GPT stands for that means you don't have to train it if you want to go train
512. 1:25:39an open source model you can do that but that's painful that's that's why these things are so cool can you ask get to do a
513. 1:25:46Google sheet sure I can do that um so let's let's see tell me a funny way to remember my exercises what's a simple explanation of muscle

567. 1:34:58make 38 cents a month on this or you know $350 a month on this I do not know look into fine-tuning or Laura if you want to
568. 1:35:08train a model without starting from scratch that is good advice if you want to get geeky listen the thing about this
569. 1:35:15AI stuff if you're not technical at all fine you don't need to be just go to chat GPT you can make one of these gpts
570. 1:35:24like I just did you don't even need to upload knowledge to it you can just say I want a recipe maker like my Sin City
571. 1:35:30sipper was literally like I just want something that'll make normal drinks Vegas fancy and it came up with it and
572. 1:35:39it I told it to give me 10 different names and Sin City sipper was one of them and then it came up with the the
573. 1:35:46image that I use for the for the GPT and I like it took 5 minutes so if you don't want to be technical you don't
574. 1:35:53have to be technical if you want to be technical you can hook an AI an API up to your GPT and call services that you wrote or call
575. 1:36:04zappier can I share my GPT with someone else to co-develop with me I don't think so I don't think so because
576. 1:36:17it's that would be a good thing to have wouldn't it so I'd say the only way you really do that is you do it in real time
577. 1:36:24with you editing it and sharing your screen and then you take their input that way that's the way I do that um but

588. 1:38:00um it's retrieval augmented um generation so so I would assume that what's happening there is when you actually do
589. 1:38:11a call it's going into the into the rag to get your data it's pulling it out and then whatever it pulls out and sends to
590. 1:38:20opena I that will count against your token I don't know if what it's retrieving out of the knowledge base
591. 1:38:28counts against your token I assume not but I don't know I don't that that's above my understanding grade um someone
592. 1:38:36said earlier I should explain what an API is so an API stands for application programming interface and so it's
593. 1:38:44basically if I want to get my chat G my my GPT to talk to another service it's done through an API so it's
594. 1:38:53basically just um like a handshake between two computer programs so let's say I wanted to do I wanted to do a trip a a daily trip
595. 1:39:04planner for vacations and then once it created a set of destinations for the day I wanted it to actually Place those locations on a
596. 1:39:14Google map as pins I could do that if I had an API connection to Google Map or through zappier to Google Maps so it's just a
597. 1:39:24way for computer programs to talk to one another can you share threads in chat GPT 4.0 to collaborate no the the
598. 1:39:31threads are just on the assistant side right now the gpts to be clear the gpts are two weeks old and like they're they're kind of
599. 1:39:42this brand new raw like gelatin stable kind of thing they're janky they're janky so a lot of the stuff like threading
600. 1:39:54that you can do on assistance and and a lot of the API stuff right now is just really piss poor um it will get better
601. 1:40:02like 6 months from now the gpts are probably going to be very sophisticated and and have decent interface but right now they're just
602. 1:40:10they're just not so um have you tried roomie AI as a zoom alternative pretty cool no I've looked at it but I just we

607. 1:41:07for how you get apps discovered it's probably going to be similar to that can you demonstrate a situation where you
608. 1:41:12can have a multi-step prompt to develop a document Biz plan just as a prompt or as a GPT we have a multi-step prompt to develop a
609. 1:41:26document Biz plan I can yeah we can just go we can just go make a business plan with chat GPT you could also do this as
610. 1:41:36a as a GPT but but I think this is a good thing to this is just a good thing to practice so I'm just going to go to regular chat
611. 1:41:45GPT thank you digital Gods I appreciate that so we want to biz plan so the what I'm going to share with you
612. 1:41:59is um useful for any large language model right so this is not just for chat GPT um one of the big differences
613. 1:42:16with talking to a large language model versus talking to something like a Google search is that they're completely
614. 1:42:25the opposite in terms of philosophical approach and here's what I mean with a Google search you want to kind of give
615. 1:42:31it as few words as possible you know how a Google search if you give it too many words it gets confused and you just get
616. 1:42:36all sorts of weird [ __ ] and it's just kind of useless so over the years they've kind of trained us to just be
617. 1:42:42really efficient I give it a prompt it gives me back results and you know if I get good at that then I'm good chat GPT
618. 1:42:49is kind of the opposite where it's it knows all this stuff but it's kind of like an idiot savant where it's not it
619. 1:42:56doesn't have a lot of common sense so you need to give it a lot of context you need to give a lot of um explanation of
620. 1:43:03what you're trying to do and what its role is and what your role is and what you're trying to accomplish and how you're trying to accomplish
621. 1:43:10it and what ends up happening is there's kind of two schools of thought with prompting with with these large language
622. 1:43:17models there there's a a there's a camp called the mega prompt camp and the mega prompters they write these insanely long
623. 1:43:27super complicated prompts that say you're going to act as this and you're going to do this and you're going to do
624. 1:43:32that and then here's all your rules and here's all your things and when I reply this way you're going to do this and
625. 1:43:36you're going to do that and it it becomes a whole Art and Science of of itself in and of itself and when when
626. 1:43:43people talk about prompt engineering that's kind of what they're talking about they're talking about using in in
627. 1:43:49my case the English language as a programming language and it really is like engineering there's a whole another
628. 1:43:55school of thought and this is how I use it which is you just talk to it like you're talking to an intern that needs a
629. 1:44:02lot of direction and you go back and forth with it and so what I'm going to do here is we're going to do a business
630. 1:44:07plan but we're going to we're going to just sort of talk our way into this thing so if I just say to this thing
631. 1:44:15give me a business plan for a business about blank right now it'll give me that but what it's going to be is really
632. 1:44:22generic and really boring and really expected okay so so what we're going to do is we're going to start out we're
633. 1:44:30going to give it a little a little guidance create no not create I want you to act as a business
634. 1:44:46consultant trained at Ivy League Business Schools like Harvard and I want you to coach me
635. 1:45:01through creating a business plan for my business do you understand now when I say do you understand do I really think that chat
636. 1:45:17GPT understands no but when I say do you understand what it does is it says absolutely I can guide you through
637. 1:45:26creating a business plan the process typically involves these key components and so it's starting to provide its own
638. 1:45:32context right so it understands it's it's a Harvard Business School trained consultant and so it's now going to say
639. 1:45:40we're going to create an executive summary a company description market analysis blah blah blah blah blah blah
640. 1:45:45blah remember the key to a good good business plan is Clarity and conciseness each section should be well thought out
641. 1:45:53if you have specific aspects of your plan of these sections feel free to ask and then what I'm going to say
642. 1:46:00is I want you to ask me three simple questions about my business one at a time period I don't want you to ask me the next question
643. 1:46:12until I've answered the first period at the end of those three questions I want you to write the first section of the business
644. 1:46:28plan not the first section I want you to write the outline of the business
645. 1:46:42plan ask the first question and don't move on to the next until I say okay okay okay understood here's the
646. 1:46:52first question what is the core product or service of your business will offer and the primary need or problem it solves the core product
