3:33 I don't think that's the case but it
3:34 does look like something's happening
3:39 tomorrow it does look like it's pretty
3:41 big
3:45 deal
3:48 but it's open AI so they have
3:51 disappointed us before

5:38 good evening good evening good evening
5:39 64 people in here welcome good people my
5:42 name is Kyle Shannon this the AI

8:08 minor
8:10 [Music]
8:27 sorry Robert meder exactly strawberry
8:30 strawberry Strawberry we'll talk about
8:32 strawberry tonight project strawberry
8:35 tonight I sat on a project strawberry
8:39 call with a bunch of people from San
8:42 Francisco
8:44 pontificating and the uh strawberry dude
8:47 himself was on the call or itself
8:50 whatever the [ __ ] it
8:52 is um and as people were making
8:55 predictions he was like giving thumbs up
8:57 100% hearty hearts
9:02 so there's at least some specificity in
9:05 in the event tomorrow so I still don't
9:07 know where it's
9:10 happening um but we'll go over we'll go
9:13 over all that stuff hello good Pap I've
9:16 missed you for a bit what's new in AI
9:18 well Sharon welcome first of all welcome
9:22 uh what's new in AI is tomorrow morning
9:24 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time so 11:00 a.m.
9:26 my
9:27 time something is happening something is
9:30 being announced
9:32 apparently something has already been
9:34 rolled out there's for the past week or
9:37 so there's a new model in chat GPT I
9:40 think earlier this week someone said
9:42 they felt like chat GPT got better this
9:44 week well
9:45 apparently there's a new model that's
9:48 been live for about a
9:49 week and then apparently apparently I'm
9:52 like that kid on the news
9:55 apparently for about a
9:57 week and then apparently
10:00 for about a
10:01 week and then
10:12 apparently that is also this
10:20 stuff that is also this
10:27 stuff um apparently
10:30 it's going to be added to grock as well
10:32 and I think grock is making some sort of
10:34 announcement tomorrow as well so it is
10:38 possible that what we get tomorrow is a
10:41 multic Company announcement now it is
10:45 also possible that what we get tomorrow
10:48 at 10: a.m.
10:51 Pacific is less significant than me
10:55 showing up here tonight
11:00 you can make money
11:02 with so I have I have made my
11:04 predictions I put my prediction in
11:06 writing today about what's
11:10 coming um and I'll talk about that I'll
11:13 talk about my
11:15 prediction um as always with the AI
11:18 learning lab no wagering no wagering
11:22 just because I've made a prediction
11:24 don't put money on
11:25 it that's why we sell nfts that's where
11:28 you put your money you put your money
11:29 into
11:30 nfts get them out of the stocks and
11:33 bonds put them into the
11:35 nfts ideally a shitcoin all right cuz
11:39 that bull run right around the corner
11:41 right around the corner
11:43 people savings my ass put it in nfts
11:47 okay that is financial advice by the
11:50 way
11:52 um okay what
11:54 else
11:57 uh a new rabbit
12:00 I didn't I didn't see that oh that
12:04 rabbit are you talking about that one
12:06 that is the original
12:10 rabbit prepare to be disappointed yeah I
12:13 know Pate I'm I'm like I said I am
12:18 uh I am willing to play their nft
12:22 engagement farming stupid [ __ ]
12:25 game um
12:31 and pump and pump and dump their stupid
12:34 strawberry scheme I I honest to God if
12:37 if what we find out tomorrow is that
12:40 there's a new NF a new crypto coin
12:43 called
12:44 straw the strawberry coin I'm going to
12:47 lose my
12:51 [ __ ] then you can turn to $200 into 75
12:55 bucks in just 6 months exactly listen
12:58 like I said I've got Financial advice
13:00 for you it it is
13:03 effective if you want to
13:06 effectively um have have your money you
13:09 know there's the hings in crypto I'm
13:12 very good at the hings I I can take a
13:15 100 and parlay that into $50 for you
13:19 within 6
13:22 months really good at it really good at
13:25 it you're like well Kyle did you go to
13:28 Stamford where did you get your m math
13:30 degree so
13:33 cute a little moist in here people okay
13:38 um let's get started do you know how to
13:40 make a small fortune in crypto currency
13:42 start out with a large one that used to
13:44 be a real estate joke how do you make a
13:46 million dollars in real estate start out
13:48 with
13:51 two oh good lord good Lord yeah crypto
13:55 is a lot a lot crypto's more like how do
13:58 you make a million dollars in crypto to
13:59 start out with 10 or 100 what a [ __ ]
14:03 mess um all
14:06 right lunatick in the house we can
14:09 finally get
14:10 started Kyle's happenings Shenanigans
14:15 exactly yes I'm a
14:16 [Laughter]
14:21 realtor oh man
14:24 um all right couple of things so um like
14:29 I said Kyle Shannon this AI learning lab
14:30 if you have questions about AI pop them
14:32 in the comments below I will do my best
14:36 to to answer them especially if they get
14:37 pinned I've Got Mods in here we'll take
14:39 a look at your stuff there's a good
14:41 question in there I'll do my best to
14:42 answer it so if you have questions pop
14:43 them in there um the big thing I want to
14:46 go over tonight is I want to talk about
14:50 um what I think's
14:52 coming um we'll play around a little on
14:56 the strawberry dude's account strawberry
14:58 man they're calling him strawberry man's
15:00 account um and just show some of the uh
15:04 some of the posts that he's done and why
15:07 I think they're
15:08 interesting um or not interesting
15:14 that if this is not just hype [ __ ]
15:18 I'm here's a deal I have been so burned
15:23 by open AI with their we'll have we'll
15:27 have real time voice out in two weeks
15:29 and it's been what four months five
15:32 months and like six people have it
15:34 including Kelly Camp
15:36 which listen I love you Kelly but like
15:39 who do you know who do you know clearly
15:42 I don't know
15:44 anyone other than Elon Musk and Sam
15:47 Alman and you know all the entrepreneurs
15:50 in San Francisco because I've been there
15:52 twice so I met them
15:55 all
15:57 um but Kelly's got the new voice I know
16:01 a
16:02 guy have your people talk to my people
16:05 we'll do
16:06 lunch yeah
16:08 exactly um all right
16:12 groovy don't trust engineering release
16:14 schedules nah this this seems this seems
16:17 beyond an engineering release schedule
16:20 there there's an there's there's a a
16:23 time there's a time in a day and it's
16:26 been it's been getting more specific
16:28 over the week
16:32 so this feels like shitty marketing one
16:33 of the things that was talked about on
16:34 the strawberry call today the project
16:36 strawberry call someone was asking
16:40 like or or talking about chat
16:44 GPT was the fastest adoption of
16:47 technology in history everyone's been
16:50 waiting for open AI to drop some new big
16:54 model right or some big new thing or gp5
16:57 or [ __ ]
17:00 AGI whatever the [ __ ] it is
17:05 right they don't need marketing
17:07 everyone's [ __ ] waiting all they have
17:10 to do is like show up so if this is
17:12 indeed if this strawberry [ __ ]
17:15 dude is something like why are they
17:17 doing it why are they doing engagement
17:19 farming like they don't need marketing
17:21 it's just
17:22 weird they've gave a date and time to
17:25 compete with Google oh yeah that's
17:27 interesting or they're doing something
17:31 in conjunction with Google and that's
17:32 part of my
17:34 prediction that's part of my prediction
17:36 so you're going to have to stick around
17:37 to hear hear my
17:38 prediction that's engagement
17:42 farming but before we get to
17:57 that the engagement is their retro look
18:01 yeah it's it's
18:03 interesting it's interesting
18:06 it's yeah this strawberry dude with all
18:08 the cryptic riddles and [ __ ] like that
18:10 it just feels like nft marketing I don't
18:12 get it I think it's stupid but
18:15 whatever I'm not the I'm not the
18:17 marketer there I don't work there I'm
18:19 just a I'm just a uh a Nero well you
18:26 know I was just using flux one anyone
18:29 use it yes yes yes yes indeed um flux is
18:34 incredibly good and because it's open
18:36 source and the weights are out there
18:38 people are fine-tuning it now there's a
18:40 realism model out there where people are
18:42 putting out some of the images that are
18:44 made with the realism model they're
18:46 [ __ ] Bonkers good um so here's what
18:49 we'll do let me just flip over to
18:50 Twitter here's the
18:55 warning the the Donald Trump and Elon
18:58 thing just happened you know where he
19:01 tried to get
19:02 him he got he got Trump on on on the
19:06 Twitter and it crashed for half an
19:10 hour and then the I listened to like 10
19:13 minutes of it it was just unlistenable
19:14 but whatever Twitter's full of you know
19:18 Trump trump followers
19:21 so so Twitter's probably going to have a
19:23 lot of that kind of content on it which
19:25 I hate having that kind of [ __ ] just
19:27 politics in general is not my thing I
19:29 don't I I resent it I don't understand
19:35 it it makes me hurt inside but wait
19:39 there's more Kyle know s Ginsu
19:42 Knives you can make money time look I
19:46 have lovely what are
19:48 these
19:51 ghim can I interest you on some googan
19:54 Hine
19:55 scissors look at them they're delicious
20:00 look look look at the scissors they're
20:05 gorgeous gorgeous I tell you buy them
20:08 now on the Tik Tock shop right down
20:11 [Laughter]
20:23 here I promised I would take twerking
20:26 lessons by the end of August I haven't
20:27 gotten to that yet listen I was
20:29 distracted by the break dancing at the
20:31 Olympics so I have mastered that routine
20:34 so I might I might break out a sick
20:36 Breakin
20:38 routine to the soundtrack of sweating
20:41 with the oldies it's going to be good
20:44 and then I'll maybe I'll do twerking in
20:46 September with the
20:48 manini yeah I think I'll do
20:50 that for those of you that are new here
20:53 if you're
20:54 thinking you in a manini for the love of
20:58 God please say no no no it's been
21:01 requested many people say Kyle we'd love
21:05 to see you in a
21:06 manini so got to give the people what
21:09 they want all right what are your
21:11 thoughts about Legacy
21:13 Builder and digital marketing Legacy
21:16 Builder and digital marketing
21:20 everywhere at Tik Tok promising
21:26 money I don't know what you mean by that
21:28 at Tik promising money for what for for
21:32 creating channels and things like
21:34 that I'm a little stuck right now cuz I
21:37 can't I can't convert my I was going to
21:39 create I was going to flip this account
21:41 to a Creator account but or to a
21:44 personal account so I could be part of
21:45 the Creator fund but I can't cuz I tried
21:47 to sell merch on here and now my site my
21:51 my Tik Tok account is somehow bound to
21:54 the [ __ ] e-commerce site and I can't
21:56 figure out how to unbind it so so I
21:58 don't know I have no idea how money
22:00 works on this thing I put mid Journey
22:02 Laura on flux one and it was a
22:05 mind-blowing moment oh interesting vocal
22:07 sync yeah flux flux flux is really
22:11 really something like I don't know what
22:13 they did but
22:15 um but it's it's free and it's out there
22:18 and it's being put into all sorts of
22:20 different tools so pretty amazing I once
22:22 been $75 on a pair of scissors at an
22:26 auction somebody else got the scissors
22:32 scissors are scissors are a thing I like
22:35 scissors scissors bring me the scissors
22:38 Janet Janet
22:41 Janet oh my God she's always on the Tik
22:43 Tok Janet bring me the
22:46 scissors um all
22:52 right is he always like it this is is
22:55 this what he does Hees is there anyone
22:58 he's like actually talking no he's H
23:02 it's it's very peculiar very peculiar
23:05 very
23:06 peculiar no you're not fantastic well
23:09 not special there he is talking to be
23:11 elub off in the corner who who Could
23:13 That Be H who Could That Be maybe
23:26 Satan normal Kyle
23:32 you can make money with ch you can make
23:35 money with
23:36 ch oh man somebody sent me a video of
23:39 someone talking about making money with
23:41 chat GPT today it's just they won't stop
23:44 they won't stop by the way if you're new
23:47 here when I do this you can make money
23:51 with I'm not going to be teaching you
23:53 how to make money with chat GPT I'll
23:55 tell you how to make money with chat GPT
23:56 but you're not going to like the answer
23:59 this button is to make fun of those
24:02 [ __ ] people
24:05 you just buy my course in infinite
24:09 prompt engineering grid
24:11 Matrix
24:14 $129.99 if you put your prompts in the
24:16 chat ji you'll make the money with the
24:18 [Applause]
24:19 CH going to X I might go to x Dr J I
24:23 might just it's it's it's meltdown
24:27 Monday but I'm not pissed about anything
24:30 tonight so yes let's go to
24:36 x I'm I am a little uh skittery about
24:40 going to X because I just I don't want
24:41 to see all the political
24:48 [ __ ] am I pulling the trigger here
24:50 or is there a better chair at a similar
24:52 price
24:54 range yeah see right there Elon
25:03 it's just
25:06 exhausting all right so I think what
25:08 we'll
25:10 do see now I don't now my my timeline am
25:14 I on the right account I am see my
25:16 timeline used to all be Mr strawberry
25:18 here we go I rule the world Mo okay
25:24 so I don't even know where to begin
25:35 do you want me to give like a basic
25:36 primer
25:38 of what chat GPT is what the GPT models
25:44 are [ __ ] like that as foundation for
25:48 what this account is or do you want me
25:50 just to dive in with this account mhi
25:53 yeah we can go we can go see Moshi the
25:55 truth is out
25:57 there I could if if if anyone here's
26:00 like I don't even what is this chat jpt
26:03 thing or like how does this stuff work
26:04 I'm happy to we can do we we can do a
26:07 box
26:08 conversation I got one
26:12 yeah um seems to be on all the time Tick
26:15 Tock with his
26:22 rallies all right it seems like nobody
26:24 really gives too much of a [ __ ] what I
26:26 do here which is listen that's your
26:28 prerogative and that is that's
26:33 perfect um where am I going to
26:41 begin oh I have a cool
26:44 thing um
27:04 okay this tweet see this tweet right
27:07 here so there is a famous um large
27:12 language models we could do a poll all
27:15 right if someone wants to put up a poll
27:16 I'm happy to do a poll so the poll
27:18 should be do you want a Bas basic primer
27:22 of what chat GPT
27:24 is what GPT models are kind of the
27:28 history of gpts as as a foundation to
27:31 talk about what's potentially coming
27:33 tomorrow or do you just want to jump in
27:35 to what's coming tomorrow and then I'll
27:37 I'll assume you know some some of the
27:39 underlying [ __ ] so if we want to do a
27:42 poll that's fine
27:45 um so apparently so let's go let's go do
27:48 something here I'm going to go to chat
27:51 J I'm going to
27:53 say
27:55 uh let's get started here and I'm going
27:57 to say
27:59 how
28:03 many
28:05 RS are there in the
28:09 word
28:12 strawberry question
28:18 mark now it said there are two so that's
28:22 that's bad how how this just worked for
28:26 me the other day how many but I
28:28 misspelled strawberry how
28:30 many oh my God I can't type on this
28:33 keyboard
28:35 okay many ours are
28:43 there God damn God damn it okay I I I
28:48 just how
28:51 many
28:52 RS are
28:56 there in the
29:00 word
29:07 strawberry there are three Rs in the
29:09 word strawberry now historically chat
29:12 GPT has not been able to get that right
29:15 pull this up okay up in that corner over
29:17 there is a little thing on an angle it
29:19 looks like a panda head or a clipboard
29:21 or whatever the [ __ ] it is that's a poll
29:24 and so what I want you to do do go vote
29:27 is what do you want the topic to be
29:28 tonight I can just start with sort of
29:31 project strawberry and the strawberry
29:33 dude and and the history of that and
29:35 talk about what I think's coming
29:36 tomorrow or I can go back and do kind of
29:39 you know some foundational stuff about
29:41 the underpinnings of how all this [ __ ]
29:43 Works what it all is and why the
29:46 strawberry [ __ ] that's coming is
29:48 important and and then go into the
29:50 strawberry stuff I'm happy to do it
29:52 either way um it will
29:55 get it wrong based on your sentence
29:58 formatting due to tokenization exactly
30:00 so that's what I was just going to show
30:01 so the reason chat GPT historically has
30:05 not been able to get the word strawberry
30:07 right is tokenization so so when words
30:12 get ingested into when they get embedded
30:15 into this thing called the latent space
30:18 which is this this mathematical
30:20 representation of semantic clusters of
30:23 words doesn't [ __ ] matter if we get
30:25 into the underpinnings of of Chachi PT
30:28 I'll explain all that
30:31 but a token is is a is a kind of
30:34 nebulous thing it's not from a math
30:36 standpoint but it is from a human
30:38 standpoint so the word
30:39 strawberry um is three tokens and so
30:44 when you ask it how many letters are in
30:47 the word strawberry it doesn't actually
30:48 know the word strawberry it knows
30:51 strawberry jump into strawberry okay
30:53 great so 75 to 22 got it okay so the
30:58 there's three tokens here so it's just
31:00 generally looking at the last token of
31:02 that word and and so it gets two RS here
31:05 but it misses the r
31:08 there the fact that chat GPT is now
31:11 getting this
31:13 right means that something's up because
31:17 historically it hasn't been able to and
31:19 then I think if we go to perplexity this
31:21 should get it right as
31:25 well uh uh uh uh
31:33 perplexity
31:36 a oh wait let me go copy it from here so
31:38 I don't have to [ __ ] type
31:51 it count the number of RS in the word
31:54 strawberry the word strawberry contains
31:57 three three
32:00 O So perplexity is getting this right as
32:04 well so what is
32:07 up this is part of my
32:11 prediction
32:13 um so if you've noticed perplexity has
32:16 gotten any better or open a chat gpt's
32:19 gotten any better it looks like they've
32:22 gotten
32:23 better okay let's go back to Twitter now
32:26 and let's find us our
32:31 our strawberry dude all right so if you
32:34 want to follow this account it's
32:37 entertaining it's it's I rule the world
32:40 Mo I rule the world yeah perplexity I
32:44 was going to say yeah I I rule the world
32:47 Mo okay and it's this dude which if you
32:52 don't recognize that that's Walkin
32:53 Phoenix from the movie
32:55 Her the movie Her is about his character
32:59 rather sad and lonely
33:02 fell Who falls in love with a chatbot an
33:05 AI
33:09 chatbot and that's a strawberry and
33:12 those are strawberries so that's why
33:13 they call him strawberry
33:15 man and this account's been around for
33:17 about two months and they've it's gone
33:19 from zero people to oh no it was this
33:23 account was created in August of last
33:26 year but it's been really active
33:28 recently I think it had like I don't
33:30 know 1500 or
33:31 2,000 followers and now it's got 26,000
33:34 followers all in in the past month and a
33:36 half or two and so so let me go back in
33:40 history a little bit here I'm just going
33:41 to kind of scroll randomly
33:44 down and this thing posts a lot
33:59 all right I want to be looking at here
34:01 August 11th was yesterday yeah
34:14 see so lots of cryptic little posts like
34:19 they said it couldn't pass the Turing
34:21 test now we're worried it might be
34:23 administering it to us basically
34:27 implying that the AGI is going to be way
34:30 smarter than us the ne the next update
34:33 isn't an improvement it's a revelation
34:36 everything we know about AI is about to
34:40 change
34:43 um let's see
35:02 nothing all that interesting there he's
35:04 kind of [ __ ] posting people says I'm
35:07 freaking
35:10 out
35:17 um I CBA to test I don't know what CBA
35:20 stands for there but I wouldn't rule out
35:23 s Sam Alman teasing me and stealth
35:26 launching on a Sunday happy testing
35:30 right so he's there there's a
35:32 relationship with Sam mman here he says
35:34 I'm freaking out oh my God oh my God so
35:37 this thing's posting
35:39 memes
35:41 huge what did this guy
35:45 say oh stock
35:53 [ __ ] I was told next Thursday but
35:55 honestly I'm here for the hype project
35:58 strawberries
36:01 coming
36:26 uh so what was this one the eagle has
36:28 landed good night chat so that was the
36:30 night of October 11th meaning project
36:33 strawberry is about to
36:35 launch it's Christmas morning on crack
36:38 so here for it right so this is just
36:41 hypey hypy nft style
36:46 [ __ ] hype
36:48 mongering chat check perplexity now so
36:52 this is important check perplexity
36:55 now go check it I could cry
37:08 my body is alive with electric Joy
37:10 obviously
37:12 perplexity are just stealing my hype but
37:15 I'm here for it Mr strawberry can
37:18 share can anyone fund a nonprofit to
37:22 grow a quadrillion strawberries true
37:25 Ubi um he's been talking a lot about u u
37:29 Ubi Universal basic
37:31 income so we need Ubi now everything's
37:34 about to change everything's about to
37:35 change everything's about to change uh
37:38 I'm with Pate on this one I'm not
37:40 holding my breath that everything's
37:41 about to change um but there might be a
37:43 significant bump
37:45 up the hunt for red August is
37:49 here hidden in plain sight for [ __ ]
37:51 sake qar printed itself on hoodies oh
37:55 that's funny there's a little qar right
37:58 there I'll talk about qar in a
38:01 second summer in the
38:06 [Laughter]
38:10 garden he says here so die Diego AI gp40
38:15 got updated out of nowhere and then this
38:18 guy says bro out of nowhere imagine a
38:21 world where every human has access to
38:23 the power of a thousand
38:25 Minds that's the promise of project Str
38:28 Berry and it's closer than you think
38:30 forget GPT 5 tonight wait forget GPT 5
38:34 tonight we unlock level two the
38:37 staircase to a higher Consciousness is
38:39 being built step by step are you ready
38:40 to climb so level two there's open AI
38:45 put out a a I guess it was a blog post
38:48 that talked about the five levels of AGI
38:52 AGI stands for artificial general
38:55 intelligence and level one we have level
38:58 one AGI is uh chatbots right so we've
39:02 got chat GPT we've got Claude we've got
39:05 all these things that are all basically
39:07 acting the same you ask at something and
39:09 it
39:10 responds level two AGI is
39:15 reasoning and reasoning for example
39:19 could look at the tokens of strawberry
39:22 and it could say if the initial response
39:24 is there's two RS in the in the word
39:27 strawberry
39:28 a reasoning engine could go look at the
39:30 word strawberry and say no no that's not
39:33 actually right there's a third R so
39:35 three is the answer so
39:38 reasoning the the way chat GPT works the
39:42 way large language models work you type
39:45 in your prompt and when you hit
39:48 submit it generates a probability number
39:52 for some location and what they call
39:54 latent space this mathematical space for
39:56 the next most probable token which could
39:59 be a word or part of a word and then it
40:01 just keeps doing that over and over
40:03 again so when it types something out
40:05 that it looks like something that was
40:08 conscious typed something out it has no
40:11 [ __ ] idea what it typed out it just
40:14 types it
40:15 out if you take that tool the thing that
40:19 vomits out words but is unaware of them
40:22 and then you sit on top of that an
40:25 engine that can actually look at the
40:28 output and say is this
40:30 right that's a reasoning engine so I
40:34 think that's what project strawberry
40:37 is um so let's keep going here and I'll
40:40 I'll unpack it a bit
40:41 more uh uh uh here we go huge my
40:46 timeline is unfolding chat be ready why
40:49 aren't you following Nick huge
40:52 um Nick who's Nick from
40:59 I don't
41:02 know Nick said qar is live on perplexity
41:07 Pro so right there qar so
41:12 qar is is a paper that that's been out
41:15 for a while um about a a reasoning
41:19 engine qars or a reasoning algorithm qar
41:22 is a reasoning algorithm project St
41:25 strawberry is apparently open
41:28 I's implementation of
41:31 qar so if qar is live on
41:35 perplexity which is not open AI but I
41:37 think they use open
41:40 AI then that points to
41:48 something turn everything up to
41:53 11 it's happening chat Robert scoble I
41:56 know a strawberry f farmer in Modesto he
41:59 tells me a new AI model is coming when
42:02 will it be right Sam's garden is
42:06 blooming a a fruit of AGI is ripening
42:11 soon all in the feast all in the
42:15 okay some people live in the future not
42:18 empty
42:19 hype hype hype
42:22 baby hype hype baby I'd say
42:26 philosophically the claim is doesn't
42:28 understand simply because it doesn't
42:31 have IO is
42:34 invalid I don't know what you mean
42:37 because it's not
42:40 well it doesn't understand it as a whole
42:43 it understands it understands what's the
42:45 most probable next sequence of tokens
42:49 but it doesn't know what what the
42:51 content of those tokens mean once
42:54 they're assembled and it's not looking
42:57 at it right it just vomits it out it's
42:58 not doing any post post generation
43:03 analysis um it's called Humanity blah
43:05 blah blah let's
43:10 see this thing spooked me still think
43:13 next Thursday full roll out all right
43:15 let me let me get closer to the the
43:18 recent past it's all still August
43:26 11th it is spelling out strawberry I bet
43:29 the launch happens when the word is
43:31 complete yeah that I was thinking that
43:36 too I'm not sure why I shared this I
43:38 just had
43:42 to all the way
43:48 down okay here's
43:51 so tomorrow 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time tune
43:55 in GP
43:57 uh for large so the current
44:02 GP there's GP mini and then there's
44:06 GP but it's a smaller model it's
44:11 their 70 billion parameter model yeah
44:16 gp4 large is their 405 billion parameter
44:20 model so looks like we're getting a new
44:23 model
44:27 but maybe
44:29 not but
44:32 maybe which is that's what's so [ __ ]
44:34 annoying about this it's just engagement
44:37 farming this dude's content is on fire
44:39 at the moment who is this guy another
44:41 interesting post from I rule the world
44:44 it's a similar post to tidbit that
44:45 caught my eye when Hinton saw what ilas
44:48 saw he quit his job to speak
44:51 freely so one of the one of the posts
44:53 that strawberry dude put out is um is uh
44:59 tomorrow we'll find out what Ilia saw
45:02 and that reference if you don't know
45:04 when they fired Sam Alman apparently
45:07 ilas sskk who was the chief scientist at
45:10 open
45:11 AI saw something with qar that spooked
45:15 him like it got too good too fast and he
45:19 went to the board and said uh this
45:22 shit's getting too good too fast or so
45:25 we think but he never [ __ ] said a
45:27 thing so the everyone's wondering what
45:30 did ilas see so it looks like according
45:33 to Strawberry man we're going to see
45:34 what elas saw ilas
45:36 saw
45:38 um it's true chat H account John Cena
45:42 You Can't See Mr strawberry
45:45 okay he put up a poll 50% of the people
45:49 said Mr strawberry is human 50% said Mr
45:52 strawberry is not human the rumor is
45:55 that Mr strawberry is is an autonomous
45:58 agent running on some new technology
46:00 from open AI That's the
46:02 rumor nobody really knows it's just here
46:05 saying
46:12 speculation tomorrow 10 a.m. the hammer
46:14 will be there as an MC Hammer so maybe
46:17 this is going to be a big event I don't
46:22 know I would like a video
46:28 we're live oh we went live on Spaces my
46:31 spaces blow up so that was the thing I
46:33 just listened to come chat about AGI
46:37 Showtime so that happened this
46:42 afternoon live all this
46:47 time
46:48 qar people talking about qar he did not
46:52 okay
46:54 so six hours ago he wrote let's go chat
47:00 at
47:01 Sama so Sam Alman don't you dare let MC
47:05 hammered down and then 4 hours ago he
47:09 said he did not let us down meaning it
47:12 looks like ultman is shipping
47:15 something and I guess MC Hammer will be
47:22 there
47:24 oh and then this I don't get I never see
47:27 at the club in quote marks I never see
47:29 you at the shores of the digital ocean
47:32 blinking in the an anthropos sun and
47:36 then Mr strawberry writes sneaky so if
47:39 anyone knows what that means I don't
47:40 know what that
47:42 meant
47:45 um then five hours ago chat GPT itself
47:48 there's a new chat GPT 40 model out in
47:52 chat GPT since last week I hope you are
47:55 all enjoying it and check it out if you
47:58 haven't we think you'll like
48:00 it so I'm guessing that the GPT 40 large
48:07 model is what's in chat GPT right now
48:12 okay and then now he's starting to just
48:14 post letters s r
48:18 a oh he's not there he's not at a yet
48:21 but St Str so he's going to type out
48:23 strawberry and I'm sure that the Y will
48:25 happen right before 10:00 a.m. tomorrow
48:27 okay so that's that so let me go to my
48:30 my
48:31 LinkedIn and walk you through my
48:39 [Music]
48:53 prediction okay so here was the post
48:57 attention isn't all you need new
48:59 architecture announcement new
49:02 architecture not just new model new
49:06 architecture August 13th at 10:00 a.m.
49:10 specific The Singularity begins so
49:13 here's what I wrote as my
49:16 prediction I said 100% unfounded
49:19 speculation alert Pate this is for you I
49:22 know you're going to love this you love
49:24 it when I speculate prediction
49:27 number one this account has been hyping
49:29 open AI AGI ASI Ubi llms and all the
49:33 other AC acronyms for months with lots
49:36 of cryptic hints that have grown
49:38 increasingly specific honestly this is
49:40 essentially NF nft style engagement
49:43 farming which is annoying but people are
49:45 paying attention rumor is that this
49:49 account is an autonomous agent powered
49:50 by the tech that's being
49:52 announced last week Greg Brockman
49:55 co-founder president of open AI took a
49:56 leave of absence until January and
49:58 stated he's happy with what they have
50:00 built and will be back in January back
50:04 to finish the job in January two other
50:06 prominent execs also left open AI my
50:10 instinct here is they finished something
50:13 and it's a good time to make a
50:15 break GPT 5 was apparently finished in
50:19 the spring and went into red team
50:21 testing which is also apparently
50:23 finished apparently open AI has got G
50:27 pt5 ready to drop at will if they just
50:31 decide if someone else puts out some
50:33 model and they want to make you know
50:36 take back the lead keep the lead
50:37 apparently they're ready to drop it at
50:40 will
50:42 um this account ALS has also mentioned
50:45 grock and perplexity and other llms
50:48 improving dramatically this is the
50:49 biggest re reason for my prediction
50:52 below um this is definitely related to
50:55 qar so when when last Thursday when
50:59 strawberry Man created a bit a GitHub
51:02 repository and put some python code in
51:04 it it created a a strawberry out of asy
51:08 and there was a little qar that that
51:10 went to the middle of the the little I
51:13 don't know square of asky
51:15 characters uh and then the Tweet above
51:17 mentions a new architecture so drum roll
51:19 please my guess is that what's being
51:22 announced is a standalone reasoning
51:24 engine open AI imple implementation of
51:27 qar built in such a way that developers
51:30 can easily use it to augment existing
51:33 models making them dramatically
51:35 better so if this were just being en
51:38 rolled out for um for cat GPT perplexity
51:42 wouldn't be being talked about grock
51:44 wouldn't be being talked about when when
51:47 Mr strawberry was initially talking
51:49 about that I was confused I'm like wait
51:51 why maybe this is a grock thing and he's
51:53 just trolling them but I I think it's a
51:56 standalone reason engine it also likely
51:59 is the GPT 40 large
52:03 model I I have much less confidence that
52:06 they'll drop GPT 5 there's a pole up
52:10 right there so I don't know what's in
52:12 the pole but actually I can go look at
52:14 it can I I have the power do you think
52:17 strawberry Man is real or AI so over in
52:20 that corner you only have 17 seconds
52:22 left do you think this strawberry dude
52:25 is a a person behind it or you think
52:27 it's an
52:28 AI all
52:31 right would it make hallucinations less
52:33 likely yes that's exactly the point so
52:37 so if indeed
52:40 um so 68% of you out of 19 votes think
52:45 think that Mr strawberry is some sort of
52:47 AI I likely polluted that because I've
52:51 been talking about it being an AI for a
52:53 couple of weeks now um
52:59 but he's got the
53:01 power
53:03 um yeah if
53:07 indeed okay so couple of
53:11 things if they got
53:15 a what who would have been a huge a huge
53:19 star in in the 90s MC Hammer in the 80s
53:23 and 90s but you know I guess he's still
53:25 kicking uh so if indeed they got MC
53:28 Hammer to to do an event they're they're
53:31 doing an event and if they're doing an
53:34 event it is possible that what gets
53:36 announced
53:37 tomorrow is that they have
53:42 achieved some level of
53:46 AGI or or level two like he kept Mr
53:48 strawberry keeps talking about level two
53:51 which is
53:53 reasoning and the current large language
53:55 models do not have reasoning
53:57 qar has reasoning but no one's really
54:00 launched you know a significant
54:03 implementation of
54:04 it
54:07 so that's my prediction that's what I
54:09 think it's going to
54:11 be
54:14 um crazy right can't touch
54:19 this can't touch this yeah they should
54:22 have got Snoop Dog fresh off the
54:24 Olympics I thought listen when when when
54:28 the Olympics first started and I saw
54:29 Snoop Dogg like walking somewhere I'm
54:32 like what the [ __ ] is Snoop Dogg gonna
54:34 like is he commentating like is he into
54:38 sports and then it was like no he's just
54:40 going to be the [ __ ] bad assist you
54:44 know us audience member for every every
54:47 cool sport they just gave him good
54:50 outfits good seats to the Olympics and
54:52 his only job was to [ __ ] cheer for
54:54 America I thought it was [ __ ] awesome
54:56 awesome and then Martha Stewart showed
54:58 up and they were at the Dr and he's
55:01 dancing in his in his Tails oh that was
55:05 [ __ ] awesome so so I was I was very
55:08 happy with Snoop I thought we were very
55:09 well represented by Snoop Dog at the
55:12 Olympics oh man how do you think the
55:15 public at large will react when they're
55:18 hit with qar without any
55:20 precursors um one of the things that Mr
55:24 strawberry said
55:27 one of the things that Mr strawberry
55:28 said is that
55:34 um whatever is about to be dropped is
55:38 going to be discovered rather than like
55:41 handed to us like they're not they're
55:44 not going to say like here's the manual
55:46 here's what it
55:47 does so I think what's going to happen
55:50 here's my here's my here's my instinct
55:53 my instinct is
55:57 they gave this qstar reasoning engine to
56:00 grock and perplexity it would be
56:01 interesting to see if grock got any
56:04 better that that they in some sort of
56:07 partnership gave them access to
56:10 qar to make those existing large
56:13 language models
56:14 better and then they updated the gp40
56:21 model from the 70 billion parameter
56:23 model to the 405 billion parameter model
56:27 and then tomorrow during the
56:30 announcement I this is my sense they're
56:32 going to slap the qar reasoning engine
56:35 on top of the 405 billion parameter
56:39 model so this model probably got better
56:42 and then with qar on top of it it might
56:44 get dramatically better but like what
56:47 that actually looks like I I just don't
56:49 have any [ __ ] clue I don't think any
56:51 of us really know what it
56:53 means if if these things get orderers of
56:56 magnitude more smart right Mira moradi
56:59 talked about the next um
57:04 launch from open
57:06 AI has will will
57:10 have
57:13 um these things
57:16 behaving at or above
57:21 PhD graduate level expertise in all top
57:27 ICS now she said that wasn't coming
57:29 until 2025 so maybe maybe it goes like
57:32 this maybe tomorrow as we get gp40 large
57:36 we get qar sitting on top of it and then
57:39 they wait until January that's when
57:41 brockman's coming back from leave wait
57:43 until January to get GPT 5 plus qar I
57:47 don't know this is all chat TMZ I got no
57:50 inside information I'm just going by
57:53 what I have been stitching together and
57:56 when I when I got on the the call today
57:58 about strawberry
58:00 man most of what I just told you is some
58:02 version of what they were talking about
58:04 so I felt
58:08 um not Vindicated but I I felt like I
58:11 was on the right track because of what
58:12 they were talking
58:14 about um so no Source Camp I don't think
58:17 that I don't think that the the general
58:20 public is going to give two shits about
58:23 this
58:25 now if indeed qar makes
58:29 gp4 dramatically
58:32 better and all of a sudden it goes from
58:34 being like well you could sort of use it
58:36 maybe to holy [ __ ] that can do my job
58:40 now without me
58:42 there or or like dramatically closer to
58:46 that then I think people might start
58:47 freaking out but I don't think that's
58:49 going to happen overnight like I I think
58:51 this thing that Mr strawberry said
58:54 was it's capab ities are going to be
58:57 discovered so as we use the tools we'll
59:00 start to figure out what it's really
59:02 good at so I don't know it's I I don't
59:06 know we'll know tomorrow and and just to
59:09 be
59:12 clear I would put it
59:18 at trying to figure out if I want to
59:20 give him any benefit of the
59:23 doubt all right I'll give him benefit of
59:26 the doubt I just I feel I feel like you
59:29 know I just I feel like one of those
59:32 people that's just like you
59:37 know I've been lied to one one too many
59:40 times I promise I won't lie to you this
59:42 next
59:43 time but I would say I would put it at a
59:46 40% chance that tomorrow nothing happens
59:51 I was going to go
59:53 50/50 but but just the like the fact
59:56 that Robert scoble who's in San
59:58 Francisco was on that strawberry
1:00:01 call um the consistency that everyone
1:00:04 was talking about on that
1:00:06 call the the specificity of this account
1:00:09 over the past week it's gotten more and
1:00:11 more and more
1:00:12 specific um I think something's
1:00:15 happening tomorrow and and I think it's
1:00:17 I think it's qar so I hope it
1:00:19 is um and then I have no idea what that
1:00:22 looks
1:00:25 like but lot of what he's talking about
1:00:27 is you know we're not prepared for
1:00:29 what's
1:00:31 coming here's what I can tell you though
1:00:34 this if if you're an IR regular if
1:00:37 you're someone that's here night after
1:00:40 night and if you're just questioning
1:00:42 Your Life Choices about why did I give
1:00:44 up my Netflix account why am I watching
1:00:47 this I've heard these jokes I know these
1:00:51 stories you've been paying attention
1:00:54 enough to this AI stuff even if you
1:00:56 haven't really done
1:01:00 much that you're going to at least be
1:01:03 looking at what happens
1:01:06 tomorrow and if what happens tomorrow is
1:01:08 actually a really big deal you're going
1:01:11 to be there moment
1:01:13 one if it's a really big deal that won't
1:01:17 get out to the public for
1:01:21 weeks 47% of Americans have never even
1:01:25 heard
1:01:26 of chat
1:01:28 GPT much less gpt3 GPT 3.5 gp4 gp4 Omni
1:01:34 or gp40 whatever the [ __ ] you want to
1:01:36 call it
1:01:38 qar oh is that that political thing
1:01:42 no what's a reasoning engine what's
1:01:46 hallucinations all they know about AI is
1:01:48 the robots are going to kill us it's the
1:01:50 world's greatest plagiarism machine
1:01:53 right and just you know AI is evil just
1:01:56 in General AI is bad but that's all they
1:01:59 know about it right
1:02:00 now so so if you're here if you're
1:02:03 hanging out there's 89 people in here
1:02:05 there's 90 people in here right now if
1:02:07 you're hanging out
1:02:10 here and you just in the back of your
1:02:14 mind put something oh tomorrow morning
1:02:16 something's something's coming just
1:02:18 check check on Twitter tomorrow at you
1:02:22 know I don't know noon Pacific
1:02:26 give it give it an hour after the
1:02:28 announcement if you want to watch the
1:02:30 announcement watch the
1:02:32 announcement I
1:02:34 unfortunately have to be on a
1:02:39 um a creative kickoff call tomorrow that
1:02:42 I think I have to be on I will get off
1:02:43 it early if I can as soon as I get off
1:02:46 it I will try to live stream because I
1:02:49 think this is important so
1:02:51 tomorrow this thing kicks off at 11 paci
1:02:54 or 10 Pacific 11 mountains
1:02:58 my guess is I'm not going to be I I'm
1:03:01 not going to be there until 11:15 to
1:03:03 11:30 but pay attention to Twitter
1:03:06 tomorrow if you want to hang out with me
1:03:08 as soon as I can I'm going to go live
1:03:10 with this thing all right uh eastern
1:03:12 time is um it's so it's 10 11 12 1 1
1:03:17 p.m. Eastern is when it
1:03:19 starts 10:00 a.m.
1:03:22 Pacific and this is the
1:03:26 project strawberry
1:03:29 announcement we don't know what project
1:03:31 strawberry is we're down to 47% now
1:03:35 Kyle well not
1:03:38 just so this is 47% is people who
1:03:42 haven't even heard of it before it was
1:03:45 something like 78% that hadn't tried it
1:03:48 that this was a new research relatively
1:03:50 new like two months ago that Ethan
1:03:52 mullik put out that 47% hadn't even
1:03:55 heard of it
1:03:56 much less tried
1:03:58 it and in that same study it said that
1:04:00 2% of people use chat GPT for more than
1:04:03 an
1:04:04 hour
1:04:07 two
1:04:10 two have you ever use chat GPT you can
1:04:14 blow through an hour of using chat GPT
1:04:17 easily in just a morning trying to knock
1:04:20 out a little
1:04:23 project so we're still in low single
1:04:27 digits of people who even have any
1:04:30 semblance of a clue what chat GPT even
1:04:32 is much less if there's a new more
1:04:35 sophisticated version of it
1:04:38 tomorrow sorry for the dumb question
1:04:40 which account to watch that's not dumb
1:04:42 question at all it is um I rule the
1:04:46 worldo as in
1:04:49 MO at IR Rule the
1:04:52 World Mark Oscar
1:04:55 [Applause]
1:04:57 am I late what did I miss hey Mr
1:05:01 it I just went over speculation about
1:05:03 what what is being announced tomorrow
1:05:06 Microsoft put something out
1:05:10 saying workers are using it but
1:05:13 companies are the
1:05:15 issue yeah I would agree with that cuz
1:05:17 what's happening is it departments are
1:05:21 buying 20,000 seat licenses of chat GPT
1:05:25 and just going okay employees you got
1:05:27 chat GPT now go good go use
1:05:30 it and the employees are like what what
1:05:34 do we do with this
1:05:38 like the way we [ __ ] around with AI in
1:05:41 this
1:05:42 channel is not normal most people are
1:05:46 not playing with these tools they're not
1:05:48 curious about these tools it's like if
1:05:52 if you didn't give a [ __ ] about
1:05:54 numbers if if you're like a poet and you
1:05:57 work at some you know the the [ __ ]
1:05:59 annual report division of some
1:06:02 Corporation and the IT department goes
1:06:05 okay everybody here's Microsoft Excel
1:06:08 you can make formulas now and it'll do
1:06:11 math for
1:06:13 you most people are going to be like
1:06:18 okay what are we supposed to do with
1:06:20 this am I am I now the CFO no no but
1:06:23 like when you need when you got to put
1:06:24 charts together this will make it easy
1:06:27 okay I'm just going to draw them I think
1:06:30 that's how people are with chat GPT so
1:06:33 companies right now what they need to be
1:06:36 doing is in my opinion identifying
1:06:41 people with AI friendly
1:06:44 aptitudes who are the people in your
1:06:46 organization who are curious who are
1:06:49 adventurous who are brave who are um
1:06:53 good critical thinkers
1:06:56 who are who are you know people that
1:06:58 follow through on [ __ ] and do [ __ ] and
1:07:00 build
1:07:02 [ __ ] independent of what their job is
1:07:05 and what they've been trained on who are
1:07:07 the people with those
1:07:08 aptitudes because if you find those
1:07:10 people and you put five of them together
1:07:12 and then you give them chat GPT and you
1:07:14 give them some basic training here's
1:07:16 what it is but take your curious
1:07:19 adventurous asses and go figure out how
1:07:24 to improve [ __ ] in your little division
1:07:27 there and then those people are the tip
1:07:30 of the spear that figure out o here's
1:07:32 all the cool [ __ ] we can build let's go
1:07:34 build some
1:07:35 [ __ ] and then that knowledge expands out
1:07:38 from that core but that's not what
1:07:40 companies are doing they're going here's
1:07:42 20,000 licenses go play with chat gbt
1:07:45 apparently it's good I don't use it I'm
1:07:47 an executive if you know what I mean I
1:07:50 don't get in the
1:07:53 weeds cuno they've asked me to craft a
1:07:56 training plan for chat jpt rollout I'm
1:07:58 asking my
1:07:59 boss for a big raise cuno you should
1:08:03 absolutely ask for a big raise you you
1:08:05 should absolutely ask for a big raise
1:08:07 did you cuno did you see the
1:08:10 um the article that I wrote on LinkedIn
1:08:13 rise of the agile human and R rise of
1:08:16 the agile organization if you haven't
1:08:18 seen those go check those out on my
1:08:21 LinkedIn um because I I think there's
1:08:24 there's at least some elements to put
1:08:26 into a a roll out plan in there cuz the
1:08:29 rise of the agile human talks about
1:08:31 those attributes specifically I think
1:08:33 there's seven of them and then rise of
1:08:36 the agile organization is um jws Cal I
1:08:40 worry AI is going to cause mediocre
1:08:42 quality control not if it's got
1:08:47 reasoning it's going to be way better
1:08:49 than
1:08:51 humans it's going to be way better than
1:08:54 humans sorry
1:08:57 Now is it going to be way better than
1:08:59 humans this year or next year probably
1:09:01 not three
1:09:04 years I think quality control goes
1:09:06 through the
1:09:10 roof you can't Sam Alman said this about
1:09:13 I don't know four or five months ago he
1:09:15 said I would not I would not bet on any
1:09:20 company that is betting
1:09:23 on cat GPT not getting dram atically
1:09:27 better and there's a lot of there's a
1:09:29 lot of
1:09:36 um
1:09:39 doomers right now on Twitter talking
1:09:41 about how AI has
1:09:46 plateaued the hype was
1:09:50 overblown this [ __ ] isn't real see I
1:09:53 told you this [ __ ] wasn't real see
1:09:56 everybody caught up to chat gbd4 and now
1:09:58 it's
1:09:59 over you big [ __ ]
1:10:09 losers apparently those people have
1:10:12 never
1:10:14 experienced how technology
1:10:18 evolves um but it's going to get better
1:10:21 and if the next step is
1:10:23 reasoning so so here are the five levels
1:10:26 of AGI first one is chat Bots we've got
1:10:28 that one second one is
1:10:30 reasoning so it can look at what it
1:10:33 wrote and say is this right is this good
1:10:36 did I hallucinate are there indeed two
1:10:38 RS in Strawberry oops no there's three
1:10:41 let me give the correct answer that's
1:10:43 reasoning so these things get they're
1:10:45 already good right so you take an
1:10:48 already good answer that's got some
1:10:51 issues with it it's got some grammar
1:10:52 [ __ ] it's got some shitty writing in it
1:10:54 and it's got some Hall ations in it and
1:10:56 you throw a reasoning engine on top of
1:10:59 it all of a sudden that get that good
1:11:02 answer turns to a great
1:11:04 answer right and your hallucinations go
1:11:08 down like this the third level of AGI is
1:11:12 Agents so not only can it generate the
1:11:16 the
1:11:17 goods
1:11:20 reason to see if their answers are right
1:11:23 or Reason to figure out how to prompt
1:11:25 like maybe you give the llm a shitty
1:11:29 prompt and the first thing have you
1:11:31 noticed that what perplexity does they
1:11:32 do they do a pretty cool reasoning thing
1:11:34 when you type a query into perplexity it
1:11:38 actually gives you like a four or five
1:11:39 step plan okay first I'm going to go to
1:11:42 the web and I'm going to research this
1:11:43 then I'm going to try to understand the
1:11:45 concept once I've gotten the then I'm
1:11:46 going to so it's kind of writing this
1:11:49 reasoning so imagine that on steroids
1:11:52 that's reasoning agents are when
1:11:56 these tools can now go surf the web on
1:11:59 your behalf and take actions on your
1:12:02 behalf so not only can they reason they
1:12:05 can log into the project planning
1:12:07 software they can determine that we
1:12:10 moved from stage one to stage two in the
1:12:12 project that we're at and 22% of the
1:12:16 tasks have been completed in stage two
1:12:19 and and now they're going to make a plan
1:12:21 to go you know execute the rest of the
1:12:24 things in phase too that's agents it'll
1:12:28 go book your travel is the classic one
1:12:30 everyone says I want to go to Mexico
1:12:33 okay I know that you know Kyle's got a
1:12:35 family and here's their preferences and
1:12:38 here's where they've been and they don't
1:12:39 want to go anywhere they've
1:12:41 been agents will go buy those tickets
1:12:45 book that
1:12:46 itinerary re reserve your reservations
1:12:51 right four and this gets back to
1:12:56 um you know quality control is going to
1:12:58 go down if you have these three quality
1:13:01 control is fine because these agents are
1:13:03 going to make sure that shit's right
1:13:05 because it's got an A reasoning engine
1:13:07 underneath it right so so all all of the
1:13:10 control quality control stuff is going
1:13:12 to be handled to some great degree the
1:13:15 fourth level of AGI is
1:13:18 invention
1:13:20 Innovation so not only is it doing the
1:13:22 tasks it was assigned it's actually
1:13:24 going hey
1:13:27 I've looked at all of my inputs and all
1:13:29 of the knowledge of the world and you
1:13:31 know what I discovered is there's a much
1:13:33 better way to do this thing that you
1:13:35 told me to do so here's a new and novel
1:13:38 approach to curing this disease solving
1:13:41 this energy problem creating a material
1:13:43 that's got these kind of
1:13:45 attributes and then level
1:13:48 five is
1:13:51 organizations so you take these
1:13:54 inventive a gentic reasoning generating
1:14:00 things and you
1:14:02 dynamically build them into an
1:14:06 organization where
1:14:08 imagine all of us have our own
1:14:11 organization of a
1:14:13 thousand PhD level workers executing on
1:14:18 our
1:14:21 behalf
1:14:23 now tomorrow if Mr strawberry is right
1:14:27 is level two so all that you know
1:14:30 [ __ ] I just talked about with level
1:14:31 three four and
1:14:34 five are not here yet however if Mr
1:14:38 strawberry is an autonomous agent
1:14:42 whether we've achieved level three or
1:14:44 not I don't know but if indeed it's an
1:14:46 autonomous
1:14:48 agent then you've
1:14:51 got whisperings of level three right
1:14:54 here but it looks like what they're what
1:14:56 they're dropping is level two which is
1:14:59 that qar engine so that's my that's my
1:15:01 thought that's my thought people it's
1:15:04 what I'm thinking it's what I'm thinking
1:15:07 it's all I got I got nothing
1:15:10 else all
1:15:17 right some are free someone's asking
1:15:20 about which ones to pay for how much are
1:15:22 they it answered one and
1:15:27 s2t yep I'm sticking with my
1:15:30 original what did you say joker that it
1:15:32 doesn't that it's not better than it was
1:15:34 or it is better than it was level five
1:15:37 AI
1:15:40 overlords um I made GPT twins of writers
1:15:43 on our team and now we can crank out our
1:15:45 articles Galore in our
1:15:48 voices
1:15:51 yep it's so cool karuno so cool
1:15:59 so
1:16:03 cool champy are you dream barking at
1:16:07 someone are you dream barking at someone
1:16:09 he's
1:16:12 going champy champy are you a good boy
1:16:17 were you barking at the bad people in
1:16:19 your dream well you paring out bad
1:16:20 people in your dream ah you're a good
1:16:22 boy
1:16:34 original answer there are three Rs in
1:16:36 the word strawberry Lumina llama llama
1:16:40 3 uh a we love champy Champ's the best I
1:16:45 almost killed him but you
1:16:48 know fed him grapes IR robot level three
1:16:52 essentially
1:16:55 and did you see that like the new figure
1:16:57 two robot with the hands that do
1:17:04 this so when you have the the real time
1:17:07 voice let me just see if let me make
1:17:09 sure I didn't get realtime voice while I
1:17:11 was not paying attention cuz that'd be
1:17:13 shitty if I had it and
1:17:15 didn't come
1:17:17 on be there
1:17:21 baby you suck
1:17:31 I got
1:17:33 nothing well that's not true oh you know
1:17:36 what's what's a good article to go look
1:17:43 at follow along with
1:17:46 me this is actually a really good
1:17:48 article for what's about to happen if if
1:17:51 indeed they're dropping something big so
1:17:54 go to one useful thing.
1:18:05 org
1:18:10 oror one useful thing Ethan mik
1:18:15 substack and then we're going to go to
1:18:16 the first article I think yeah change
1:18:20 blindness
1:18:22 okay this article so I think think this
1:18:25 article is particularly relevant for the
1:18:28 Irregulars if if you've been hanging out
1:18:31 on this
1:18:32 channel and every night we're kind of
1:18:35 paying attention to some version of
1:18:37 AI and especially given that the last 3
1:18:40 four months have been kind of this
1:18:43 malaise of like all the adrenaline of
1:18:46 open AI just dropping new thing after
1:18:49 new thing after new thing and then these
1:18:50 other companies dropping new thing and
1:18:52 then all of a sudden everyone sort of
1:18:54 got to the same level and it just kind
1:18:55 of got boring and they they completely
1:18:58 ignored gpts that we put all this time
1:19:00 and energy into and we've been we've
1:19:03 been seeing these things evolve what
1:19:05 this article does is basically says if
1:19:08 you're sort of paying attention to
1:19:10 things on a on a regular basis you
1:19:13 forget how far we've come so he says
1:19:16 this is not a particularly complicated
1:19:18 post I just wanted to illustrate how far
1:19:20 AI has come since I started this
1:19:23 substack just before the launch of of
1:19:25 chat GPT in November 2022 I spend a lot
1:19:29 of time in these Pages trying to guess
1:19:31 what the future holds but the future is
1:19:33 uncertain the past is clear so let's see
1:19:36 how far we've come in the past 21 months
1:19:39 images and
1:19:41 video so this is an image when you get
1:19:45 you get wait this is an image you got
1:19:47 when you prompted otter on a plane using
1:19:51 WiFi into the best image generator mid
1:19:54 Journey the day started substack so so a
1:19:57 year and a half ago so so it it didn't
1:20:02 quite understand otter in an
1:20:05 airplane he goes this is what you get
1:20:07 today 21 months later image generated by
1:20:10 flux this brand new model an open
1:20:13 weights model and animated with Runway
1:20:15 gen 3 so there's where we were 18 months
1:20:18 ago 21 months ago here's where we are
1:20:20 today
1:20:30 less than two years less than two years
1:20:34 from that to
1:20:38 that
1:20:40 and it moves like
1:20:49 that and and if what drops
1:20:51 tomorrow is a is a similar sort of jump
1:20:56 you know
1:20:57 from whatever if you know if this was
1:21:00 chat
1:21:01 GPT before and this is chat GPT
1:21:04 after you know what's that look like I
1:21:07 don't know we don't know it's going to
1:21:09 be hard to
1:21:11 comprehend um here
1:21:14 was
1:21:16 nurses 21 months
1:21:23 ago uh-oh what did I
1:21:27 do oh here we
1:21:30 go and then look at
1:21:33 this this is what flux does now that's
1:21:36 AI
1:21:38 generated good
1:21:40 Lord from
1:21:43 that to that
1:21:56 I mean come
1:21:59 on nothing weird no weird eye
1:22:06 action i m
1:22:08 AI her little name
1:22:11 badge sound a couple of months after
1:22:14 chat gpts released Google C caused a
1:22:16 huge stir with music LM which could
1:22:19 generate songs from text descriptions
1:22:22 this was jaw-dropping to many here's
1:22:24 music l m music lm's song for this
1:22:28 Caption This is an R&B hip-hop music
1:22:31 piece there's a male vocal rapping and a
1:22:33 female vocal singing in a rap-like
1:22:35 manner the beat is comprised of a piano
1:22:38 playing
1:22:39 chords of the
1:22:41 tune electronic drum backing blah blah
1:22:43 blah okay here's here's what it was back
1:22:45 then
1:22:48 [Music]
1:22:59 okay here's the exact same prompt put
1:23:01 into sunno 18 months later it isn't the
1:23:03 full prompt couldn't fit it in the
1:23:05 couple of sentences starting with the
1:23:07 atmosphere this is the first
1:23:09 [Music]
1:23:14 result late night Sydney light starts in
1:23:17 the fog rhms cut deep sharper than a
1:23:20 Watch Dog ghosts from abandoned dreams
1:23:22 wander in the block Moonlight sketches
1:23:25 Shadows ticking like a clock piano keys
1:23:27 whisper seets I go through that alley
1:23:29 heartbeat SE to RH no top for dilly d
1:23:32 voices in my
1:23:35 head stage
1:23:38 [Music]
1:23:39 sy so this is 18 months 18 months from
1:23:42 like something that was like yeah well
1:23:44 that's cute too oh wait oh that's
1:23:47 someone didn't write
1:23:48 that um language models let's see he
1:23:52 goes on these aren't going to be as
1:23:54 pretty on screen but he talks about
1:23:55 language models talks about adoption and
1:23:58 impact so anyway this article you know
1:24:00 this is AI this is also 100% AI like
1:24:05 this is where we are this is this is
1:24:09 shockingly shockingly not AI
1:24:15 looking shockingly look at the
1:24:19 hands they're a little weird they're
1:24:21 they're like just positioned a little
1:24:22 weird but there's the correctness number
1:24:25 of
1:24:31 fingers
1:24:36 so yeah I think it's worth taking a
1:24:39 moment and and just think back go look
1:24:42 at your early image
1:24:45 Generations go look at your early work
1:24:48 that you did in chat
1:24:49 GPT or or zappier automations that you
1:24:53 built
1:25:01 Cabo Silver Fox we all know so much more
1:25:03 than most yes I finally started having
1:25:07 no chill at
1:25:08 [Laughter]
1:25:10 work Kyle I read that advanced voice is
1:25:14 only available via your phone oh well I
1:25:18 still don't think I have it I could pop
1:25:19 over there I don't think I do even if I
1:25:21 do I
1:25:22 couldn't I suppose I could put
1:25:25 tick tock on my iPad and then I I'll
1:25:29 play with that tomorrow if I get it but
1:25:31 hopefully we're playing with some new
1:25:33 [ __ ] model tomorrow that article is
1:25:35 so good for us to read isn't it an it's
1:25:37 like it's
1:25:39 like because we've been paying attention
1:25:43 we probably have changed blindness the
1:25:45 worst right like if someone were just
1:25:48 not paying attention to this [ __ ] and
1:25:49 they looked at you know what AI could do
1:25:51 with that otter you'd be like oh yeah
1:25:54 okay AI can make [ __ ]
1:25:56 like but we just see the natural
1:25:58 progression and we're like well we still
1:25:59 see all the little imperfections in this
1:26:01 but when you compare the the dramatic
1:26:04 distance we've come in that short amount
1:26:06 of time and I feel like
1:26:10 um it took it took
1:26:13 images like two two and a half years to
1:26:17 go from not usable to they're pretty
1:26:19 damn good I feel like video sort of got
1:26:22 from like shitty and unusable too it's
1:26:26 pretty [ __ ] good in in a much shorter
1:26:28 amount of time so I feel like there's a
1:26:30 bit of an acceleration in how these
1:26:32 models are
1:26:34 improving
1:26:36 um yeah it's crazy it's
1:26:45 crazy side hustle M me I'm really
1:26:48 curious about building twins yeah
1:26:50 building digital twins is a lot of fun
1:26:53 um here's what I I can tell you what
1:26:55 I've
1:26:56 learned so the basic way you do it is
1:26:59 you figure out some data that represents
1:27:02 who you are and you use that as the as
1:27:04 the training data for a
1:27:06 GPT um and then you've got a thing that
1:27:10 will talk like you or think like you or
1:27:13 you know write articles like you well
1:27:16 what is that data is really
1:27:20 critical
1:27:23 and you could take your LinkedIn profile
1:27:26 data and put that in there and then it
1:27:27 would know sort of what you did
1:27:30 professionally but that's not really who
1:27:33 you
1:27:35 are you could certainly
1:27:38 take things that you've written that
1:27:41 you're happy
1:27:43 with Excuse me and say you
1:27:47 know this is my writing style so when
1:27:49 you write I want you to write in my
1:27:51 writing style that's sort of a digital
1:27:53 twin what we did at content Evolution
1:27:57 was you know it's some really [ __ ]
1:28:01 brilliant people in that
1:28:03 organization um who've done all sorts of
1:28:07 you know work like this over the years
1:28:08 but what what we what we ultimately came
1:28:11 to is we realized that we didn't want to
1:28:14 put historical
1:28:17 data into a digital twin That was
1:28:19 supposed to represent someone today and
1:28:22 so how do you
1:28:24 how do you get more modern data so what
1:28:26 we did was we
1:28:28 designed a a
1:28:31 survey and it's like a 25 question
1:28:34 survey so basically what we did was we
1:28:35 said to chat GPT help us come out with a
1:28:40 a a
1:28:41 framework for um creating a persona for
1:28:46 for you know a series of questions that
1:28:49 would represent who a person is so
1:28:53 what's their work back what's their
1:28:55 personal background how do they solve
1:28:57 problems you know what's their worldview
1:28:59 um uh I forget what some of the other
1:29:02 ones were but anyway it doesn't matter I
1:29:04 mean we we Cindy [ __ ] who's maybe on the
1:29:07 call tonight is expert at you know
1:29:11 writing questions like this and so she
1:29:13 helped architect this thing and then we
1:29:15 we generated a bunch of questions for it
1:29:17 and then seven or eight of us on the
1:29:19 call we all just said oh there should be
1:29:22 this one there should be that one well
1:29:23 here's my favorite way to ask that thing
1:29:25 and so we just dialed in these questions
1:29:28 and
1:29:29 then for every person we wanted to make
1:29:31 a digital twin for we did a video
1:29:35 call and one person would read the
1:29:38 question and then the person would
1:29:39 answer it on video not
1:29:43 written because you may or may not know
1:29:46 this but how you write and how you talk
1:29:48 are very different things so if we
1:29:51 wanted to create a digital twin that had
1:29:55 the essence of how someone talked who
1:29:57 they were then we want the training data
1:29:59 set to be that and and the the people
1:30:04 that wrote their answers their their
1:30:06 digital Twins were factually decent but
1:30:09 they were not they didn't really sound
1:30:11 like
1:30:12 them which makes
1:30:14 sense I logged on to GPT 4 on a new
1:30:17 phone and I
1:30:19 got and Strawberry appeared
1:30:28 Quantum 3.3 really so are you on the AI
1:30:33 Salon can you take a screenshot of that
1:30:35 I'm using it right now no [ __ ]
1:30:39 [ __ ] hang on I'll be right back I'm
1:30:42 going to go look at it uh wait you
1:30:44 logged into it I got a 15 Pro that
1:30:49 shouldn't matter that matters for Apple
1:30:52 for Apple intelligence you need a 15 Pro
1:30:57 it's totally different how it responds
1:30:59 much more robust and much more
1:31:01 information question 20 do you fantasize
1:31:04 about trapping people in a pit test for
1:31:07 psychotic Tendencies
1:31:09 wow
1:31:12 wow I wonder if I have to log out and
1:31:14 log back
1:31:17 in side hustle Mimi that got dark
1:31:24 what's the first place you go when
1:31:26 you're like how smart is this thing
1:31:27 let's see if it's
1:31:30 evil how many people are relaunching
1:31:32 their chat GPT right now shut up I'm
1:31:34 deleting my I'm going on my iPad I'm
1:31:36 deleting my GPT app okay remove app
1:31:39 delete app
1:31:42 delete this is exciting somebody got
1:31:45 strawberry oh I love a daquiri you know
1:31:48 would be good little strawberry Deery
1:31:50 right now feel so
1:31:51 tasty all right let me go
1:31:59 search
1:32:01 chat chat
1:32:03 je you can make money with chat okay if
1:32:07 you're getting chat GPT make sure you're
1:32:08 getting the official
1:32:13 app it's very exciting I have something
1:32:16 that says temporary chat on my
1:32:20 GPT it's build 219 bug fixes and small
1:32:24 Improv improvements yeah but build 219
1:32:26 that's just the shell the the all the
1:32:28 data that it gets is is from the servers
1:32:32 did the app change well someone on here
1:32:35 unless they're trolling
1:32:37 us better not be trolling us said that
1:32:41 they launched their new chat GPT and
1:32:44 they have
1:32:45 strawberry and project
1:32:48 strawberry
1:32:50 is qar which is reasoning which I think
1:32:55 is sitting on top of I think you got you
1:32:58 got your GPT model down here you got
1:33:00 chat GPT up here that gives you the nice
1:33:03 responses and then qar probably sits in
1:33:06 between those
1:33:07 two and it's a reasoning engine that's
1:33:09 going to dramatically improve
1:33:17 things what
1:33:31 hang on login issues sorry got to deal
1:33:34 with 17 Factor authentication I'll be
1:33:36 right with you
1:34:22 what oh
1:34:33 got
1:34:48 it checking system
1:34:52 health I got no [ __ ]
1:35:00 strawberry personal
1:35:09 account I hate all you I hate all you
1:35:11 people that got it I just saw an update
1:35:14 for opening eye but nothing about
1:35:16 strawberry delete the app I did delete
1:35:18 the app open
1:35:20 air I only have an iPhone 14
1:35:24 isn't the strawberry
1:35:26 3.5 what
1:35:31 no I got nothing news sad face no
1:35:35 strawberry I think we're being trolled I
1:35:38 think we're being
1:35:40 trolled I have an I15 Pro Max over 120
1:35:46 people everyone's like wait deal of the
1:35:48 day I got
1:35:50 it okay the fact are you all [ __ ]
1:35:54 lying does someone want to come up on on
1:35:56 screen and
1:35:58 show someone who says they got it come
1:36:01 up and take a screenshot or you know
1:36:03 what you should do go to uh the AI Salon
1:36:08 in the Irregulars Channel and post
1:36:10 screenshots would you would would anyone
1:36:12 that claims they have it go to the
1:36:14 Irregulars channel in the AI salon and
1:36:16 post
1:36:20 screenshots I don't believe you and
1:36:23 don't go Photoshop it
1:36:27 quick yeah you're Corey Sandler that's
1:36:31 that's
1:36:31 normal that's what I've got that's
1:36:34 nothing new ca ca
1:36:39 strawberry that's nice Sharon mendenhal
1:36:42 like
1:36:51 it I deleted and came back nothing
1:36:54 happened yeah what I what I found with
1:36:57 chat GPT because they're getting most of
1:36:59 their data from the server I think this
1:37:01 is on an account by account basis I
1:37:03 don't think deleting and reinstalling
1:37:04 the app actually does
1:37:09 anything it's when you log in logging
1:37:11 out and logging back in might do
1:37:13 something it might reset a cache on the
1:37:15 server
1:37:16 side but
1:37:18 um pixer it didn't happen pixer it
1:37:20 didn't happen all right all you people
1:37:22 that say you have it no one here
1:37:24 believes
1:37:25 you so unless we see proof we want to
1:37:29 see proof and don't go to do and it's a
1:37:31 generate a
1:37:33 [Laughter]
1:37:36 screenshot chat's stock just dropped
1:37:39 because everyone is
1:37:40 deleting I did not get in can you show
1:37:44 us how you got that image I came in
1:37:46 later got what
1:37:47 image show us how you got what image
1:37:56 the qar
1:38:01 images I don't buy it either I agree
1:38:03 sounds
1:38:06 sketchy what is the strawberry update
1:38:08 chat GPT voice no so deal of the
1:38:12 day
1:38:14 so the fact is nobody
1:38:21 knows from all of the hints that have
1:38:23 been
1:38:24 dropped and the fact that they're saying
1:38:27 that this is
1:38:32 um this capability has been added to
1:38:35 perplexity and to grock the the Twitter
1:38:39 large language model that
1:38:41 sucks um and there's an announcement
1:38:44 tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. Pacific
1:38:46 Time what my speculation is is what
1:38:48 they're dropping is Q uh the the open AI
1:38:52 implementation of qar which is a
1:38:55 reasoning engine that sits on top of you
1:38:58 got your large language model here
1:39:00 you've got chat GPT here qar likely sits
1:39:03 in between those two so the large
1:39:05 language model will generate some sort
1:39:07 of response the reasoning engine will
1:39:10 will be a mediator in between the user
1:39:12 and this thing to say hey did you get
1:39:16 anything wrong is there any math in here
1:39:18 or you trying to count letters in a word
1:39:21 or whatever it might be and and the qar
1:39:24 reasoning engine is going to do
1:39:25 reasoning it's also likely they're going
1:39:28 to drop the chat GPT 40 4 the the large
1:39:34 model and apparently that actually
1:39:37 dropped earlier this week but they
1:39:39 didn't announce
1:39:41 it Cory Sandler Pottery I just took a
1:39:44 screenshot Tams can you post that into
1:39:47 the Irregulars Channel
1:39:49 please that would be swell did Tams get
1:39:52 it
1:39:55 okay if Tam's got it yes let me go post
1:39:57 it if Tam's got it I believe for the
1:39:59 other folks I don't know and and just
1:40:01 because I don't know you it doesn't mean
1:40:02 I don't trust you it's just that I don't
1:40:05 believe you it's not a trust thing it's
1:40:07 a belief
1:40:11 thing I think you're [ __ ] trolling us
1:40:14 sons of [ __ ] with your I got
1:40:16 strawberry and you didn't with your big
1:40:18 stupid [ __ ] Tik Tock Channel you big
1:40:21 fat dumb dumb I I can can hear you I
1:40:24 know what you say about me trim your
1:40:26 nose hairs you big fat
1:40:29 oldie listen you're not wrong there I
1:40:33 should trim my nose hairs but look at
1:40:35 this how gorgeous is
1:40:39 that all right it looks like someone's
1:40:42 going to post something now Tam's
1:40:45 Tam's that's Cory's
1:40:48 okay yes let me go post it now fantastic
1:40:56 Doan B
1:40:57 [Laughter]
1:41:02 like oh good
1:41:06 lord could it be gbt 5 it could be gp5
1:41:11 but I doubt
1:41:14 if here's here's
1:41:18 my based on my understanding of how this
1:41:21 is going to work
1:41:25 you've already got a pretty big
1:41:26 announcement going from GPT 40 medium to
1:41:30 GPT 40 large on top of that you have qar
1:41:34 if indeed it's going to be qar tomorrow
1:41:37 so those are two big announcements and
1:41:39 then saying oh and we also have gp5 with
1:41:43 qar on top of that that feels like that
1:41:46 should come
1:41:47 later like it feels like there's just
1:41:49 too much too many
1:41:51 leaps in [ __ ] we've got got to deal with
1:41:54 as end consumers so I feel like give us
1:41:58 gp4 r o large give us qar and let us
1:42:03 [ __ ] with it for a couple of
1:42:05 months and then give us GPT
1:42:17 [Music]
1:42:22 5 let
1:42:26 I was mistaken I thought strawberry was
1:42:29 chat GPT
1:42:30 voice oh oh okay that's fine not a
1:42:35 problem not a problem Hey Brother Hey
1:42:39 Brother um time to
1:42:43 share look we're we're we're all so
1:42:46 [ __ ] high on crack well there's
1:42:48 something new from AI look I see a
1:42:50 period here this is must be the new
1:42:52 thing look I got got
1:43:00 it we'll see tomorrow tomorrow 10:
1:43:08 a.m.
1:43:16 ah it's the 13th here I don't have it
1:43:24 freaking Aussies the Aussies right
1:43:26 they're always like we're a day ahead
1:43:29 are you proud of
1:43:41 [Music]
1:43:45 yourself
1:43:51 Winston I'm so gullible I know I well
1:43:54 that's I'm I am trying my damnedest to
1:43:57 just not be excited about tomorrow
1:44:00 because I'm going to
1:44:02 assume there is a solid possibility that
1:44:06 tomorrow is a nothing
1:44:07 Burger so don't come don't come bitching
1:44:11 to me tomorrow if you're like Kyle
1:44:12 where's your strawberry you said we were
1:44:14 going to get
1:44:17 strawberry The Irregular is
1:44:19 hallucinating
1:44:24 oh man all right mod Channel all right
1:44:28 let me go look at mod Channel hold
1:44:30 please hold
1:44:38 [Music]
1:44:47 please okay I don't know we'll we'll
1:44:50 we'll correct that I'm not worried about
1:44:51 it right now
1:44:54 I don't know who that is
1:44:56 but we will fix
1:45:02 that oh I do want to show you something
1:45:05 new
1:45:07 um
1:45:09 okay this is something I'm really
1:45:11 excited about okay
1:45:14 so since we have a bunch of new people
1:45:16 here if you're there there's a couple of
1:45:20 scenarios you could be here cuz you're
1:45:21 just like is that fat Alec bald one and
1:45:24 you just kind of slowed down and you're
1:45:25 just here like trying to figure out what
1:45:27 the [ __ ] we're talking about that's
1:45:28 that's cool you might also be curious
1:45:31 about
1:45:32 AI you might also be super passionate
1:45:36 about AI you're one of those people that
1:45:39 like you're the only weirdo in your
1:45:40 friend group that's like uh guys um you
1:45:44 guys should look at this Ai and all your
1:45:45 friends are like uh yeah uh Jimmy could
1:45:48 you shut the [ __ ] up out about AI we
1:45:50 don't give a [ __ ] about your stupid AI
1:45:52 you big dumb dumb head and if you feel
1:45:55 like you're talked to like that by the
1:45:58 people in your life then you need to be
1:46:00 in this group even if you're someone
1:46:03 who's like I don't know much about AI
1:46:05 but I know I hate it I know I'm afraid
1:46:07 of it I know I'm pissed off about it I
1:46:10 know the robots are going to kill us you
1:46:12 might also want to consider joining this
1:46:14 group so the AI Salon is a group that I
1:46:17 co-founded with Leah fasten who's a a
1:46:19 professional photographer in Boston um
1:46:22 we we had our first meeting of the AI
1:46:24 Salon the week after chat GPT launched
1:46:27 so we've been around for 18 months it's
1:46:29 a really remarkable group of people so
1:46:31 if you go to that URL that'll take you
1:46:33 to our website scroll down a little bit
1:46:35 you'll see a link to the community click
1:46:37 on
1:46:38 that we just completely redesigned um uh
1:46:43 Leah and Vicky and I um and there were
1:46:46 some others in invited to the meeting
1:46:48 but couldn't be there um but they
1:46:50 contributed some ideas to it we
1:46:52 completely redesigned the welcoming
1:46:56 experience the welcoming SE sequence so
1:47:00 when you go to the
1:47:04 salon it's going to drop you on this
1:47:07 page welcome to the salon and it's going
1:47:10 to talk about the AI Salon um journey to
1:47:15 AI literacy play first mindfully create
1:47:18 generously lead talk about that it's
1:47:20 going to talk about our values all that
1:47:22 sort of stuff
1:47:23 but then over here on the right hand
1:47:27 side this new section at the top is is
1:47:30 all brand new and re architected so the
1:47:33 section is now called get started and so
1:47:36 what it is is it's six steps we're going
1:47:38 to add a seventh step but right now it's
1:47:40 six steps and you just go through them
1:47:42 in order so even if you've been in the
1:47:44 AI salon for a while part of the
1:47:46 challenge with the AI Salon is there was
1:47:48 so much [ __ ] to do you didn't know where
1:47:50 to look so we tried to prioritize what
1:47:53 does it make most sense to do first when
1:47:55 you get to the AI salon so the first
1:47:57 thing is you know check out the welcome
1:47:59 page check out what we're about um Leah
1:48:01 and I are at some point going to do a
1:48:03 video Tam's posted okay I'll go take a
1:48:06 look at that um number two introduce
1:48:08 yourself so that's a little set that's a
1:48:10 little channel to introduce yourself uh
1:48:13 number three see who we are these are
1:48:15 back videos of the AI Salon meetings
1:48:19 that we've had so if you want to go see
1:48:20 some of the early meetings and and kind
1:48:22 of the origin in fact if you scroll all
1:48:24 the way to the bottom you can see our
1:48:26 very first meeting from December 6th
1:48:31 2022 it was raw baby it was raw but
1:48:35 there's history here um number four
1:48:38 check out the salon value so here's what
1:48:40 we
1:48:41 value and then here's our expectations
1:48:46 of how to behave like number one be your
1:48:48 authentic
1:48:49 self and there's some cool stuff we're
1:48:51 going to do with badges with this
1:48:53 section step five RSP RSVP for the
1:48:57 meetings so we've got meetings on the
1:48:59 first and third Tuesday of the month and
1:49:01 then the number six one jump into the
1:49:03 water cooler and start chatting all
1:49:06 right
1:49:08 so I'm really excited about this because
1:49:11 it was not at all clear what you were
1:49:12 what the [ __ ] you were supposed to do
1:49:14 when you got to the salon but this is a
1:49:15 really nice little welcoming flow and I
1:49:18 think you'll enjoy it okay so going to
1:49:21 Irregulars t posted a screenshot holy
1:49:25 crap it says
1:49:27 strawberry how can I assist you today
1:49:30 whether you're curious about strawberry
1:49:31 varieties their culinary uses or their
1:49:34 health benefits I'm here to
1:49:36 help holy
1:49:40 [ __ ] that is
1:49:45 amazing so we will find out again we
1:49:49 still don't know is well what we know
1:49:52 now is that St Berry is absolutely
1:49:55 coming it is absolutely from open AI
1:49:58 what we still don't know is is this qar
1:50:01 is this gp4 large we don't know
1:50:05 what the definition of project
1:50:07 strawberry is but again I think it's
1:50:10 significant Greg Brockman took a leave
1:50:12 of absence two Executives left last
1:50:15 Monday they either left because open AI
1:50:19 is falling apart and they're never going
1:50:20 to launch another Innovative thing or
1:50:24 or they left because they finished
1:50:27 something and it's time to move on and
1:50:30 in Greg brockman's case it's time to
1:50:31 take a break that's my
1:50:34 instinct so Tams please play with that
1:50:37 sorry posted no no no that's awesome
1:50:39 awesome awesome awesome so someone in in
1:50:43 Ye Old AI Salon has strawberry there it
1:50:47 is right there
1:50:48 screenshot and this is from someone I I
1:50:51 know and trust and have seen so all
1:50:53 right all
1:50:54 right that's a big
1:50:56 deal that means I now have a
1:51:00 95% um confidence that the the event
1:51:03 tomorrow is an actual event it is an
1:51:06 open AI event um and it is whatever the
1:51:09 [ __ ] project strawberry is I think and
1:51:13 hope dramatically it is
1:51:16 um qar a reasoning
1:51:19 engine because this will change
1:51:21 everything try the test button oh yeah
1:51:23 Tams try the test button tell tell us
1:51:25 what you got or or if you want to hop up
1:51:27 on the live here you can you can tell us
1:51:30 what's
1:51:32 happening happy to do that too there's
1:51:36 two people Robert Smith posted in the
1:51:37 Irregulars chat oh cool in the
1:51:40 Irregulars
1:51:47 chat Southwest panel picker
1:51:53 this account is actively posting the
1:51:55 Twitter
1:52:03 again is anyone posting on Twitter right
1:52:06 now that they got
1:52:20 this I'm going to go post this
1:52:27 if you don't mind Tams I'm going to go
1:52:29 I'm going to go post your um screenshot
1:52:32 to the
1:52:33 Twitter I'm G to post it to the to that
1:52:36 dude to Mr strawberry okay hang on um
1:52:40 where do I got to go I got to go here
1:52:43 got to go to IR
1:52:47 regulars copy image let's go to Twitter
1:52:57 um one of
1:53:00 the one of
1:53:03 hour at the
1:53:07 AI
1:53:12 Salon one of our AI
1:53:15 Salon members
1:53:18 comma
1:53:21 Tams um
1:53:24 just
1:53:26 updated uh
1:53:29 just got
1:53:34 access
1:53:36 to
1:53:40 Strawberry in her
1:53:45 iOS chat GPT app exclamation point at I
1:53:51 rule the world
1:53:59 I
1:54:01 guess
1:54:04 this is really
1:54:10 happening
1:54:12 paste all right there's our
1:54:19 strawberry and then let me tag I rule
1:54:21 the world at
1:54:24 Sama we'll tag Sam Alman we'll tag chat
1:54:29 GPT we'll tag open
1:54:33 Ai and we'll tag Elon Musk just to piss
1:54:36 him
1:54:42 off although if they added strawberry to
1:54:45 grock I can't imagine they would have
1:54:46 added strawberry to grock
1:54:49 because I thought he and Sam Altman were
1:54:52 mortal
1:54:55 enemies could it be real I don't
1:54:57 understand what it
1:54:58 means um basically what it means Tams is
1:55:02 like you should be able to ask it more
1:55:06 complicated questions now reasoning
1:55:09 questions like you could ask ask
1:55:12 it um like mathematical riddles and it
1:55:16 should be able to solve them um you can
1:55:20 ask it here here's the thing you can try
1:55:22 Tams
1:55:23 tell it to give you
1:55:26 10 seven-word
1:55:30 sentences where each
1:55:33 sentence
1:55:34 includes three words that begin with the
1:55:39 letter
1:55:42 L and check a couple of things does does
1:55:47 each line have actually have seven words
1:55:49 in it does it only have three words with
1:55:52 the letter L in it or or more I still
1:55:55 don't know how to use code
1:56:00 interpreter
1:56:03 well I I don't yeah well so well doesn't
1:56:08 I don't think it matters because
1:56:10 everything's changing everything's
1:56:13 changing
1:56:21 um right Robert is a custom GPT ah okay
1:56:25 got it Tams no there's a button that
1:56:28 says test oh yeah oh yeah Tams click
1:56:30 click on that button that says test on
1:56:32 your screenshot right below the little
1:56:35 new chat icon is is the button that says
1:56:38 test click what what happens when you
1:56:39 click on
1:56:48 that he did have two posts about grock
1:56:51 leading to that
1:56:55 conclusion yeah I know that's I don't
1:56:57 know it was weird Tams is real but rward
1:57:00 say a custom GPT okay got it
1:57:20 cool I was on X listening to El Trump I
1:57:23 listened to it for about 10 minutes but
1:57:25 it
1:57:38 was does Kyle have theme collections on
1:57:41 Tik
1:57:42 Tok June Mary I don't know what theme
1:57:45 collections
1:57:48 are if I knew what they were I would
1:57:52 answer that
1:57:56 [Music]
1:57:59 question test was her prompt that's not
1:58:01 a button that's her prompt oh oh I see
1:58:04 got
1:58:05 it Kyle can you give Tams a prompt to
1:58:10 test this thing nothing I wrote wait
1:58:13 what did you
1:58:14 say test was the
1:58:17 prompt oh repeat what what you're asking
1:58:19 okay so ask it
1:58:22 one of the things that chat GPT is
1:58:24 historically bad at is if you ask it to
1:58:28 give you exactly seven words in a
1:58:31 sentence so ask it to give
1:58:33 you
1:58:35 um 10
1:58:37 sentences that have exactly seven words
1:58:42 each
1:58:44 comma and in each sentence there should
1:58:48 be exactly three words that begin with
1:58:51 the letter
1:58:53 whatever l b x doesn't matter just pick
1:58:57 a pick a letter but but we want to see
1:59:00 if it generates sentences that are
1:59:02 exactly seven words long cuz
1:59:04 historically if you ask it to do that
1:59:06 some will have seven some will have nine
1:59:08 some will have six like it's all over
1:59:10 the place and then it was really bad at
1:59:13 I want exactly three words in a sentence
1:59:16 that contain this start with this letter
1:59:19 so 10 sentences exactly seven words each
1:59:24 comma within each sentence exactly three
1:59:28 words that begin with letter whatever
1:59:32 and and see how it
1:59:40 does so how did Tams do this I don't
1:59:43 know I think I think
1:59:46 personally Sam Alman like especially on
1:59:48 the eve of a really important you know
1:59:51 event like what's happening tomorrow he
1:59:53 comes into my channel he sees who's in
1:59:56 here and then he goes and gives that
1:59:59 person access to it just so that they
2:00:01 get it and I don't cuz he's so jealous
2:00:03 of me right like that makes perfect
2:00:06 sense to me cuz I I mean what he would
2:00:10 say if you asked him about that like if
2:00:13 you know Sam um and you ask him oh this
2:00:16 guy Kyle Shannon on the AI learning lab
2:00:18 he says you're really jealous of him
2:00:20 he's so jealous his response would be
2:00:24 who I I don't know who you're talking
2:00:27 about right exactly and that's what a
2:00:30 jealous guy would
2:00:32 say right
2:00:38 exactly Kyle I'm the EXP poost wait I'm
2:00:41 the expost perhaps drop
2:00:45 the Tik Tock
2:00:47 Channel and say oh on the X poost oh
2:00:54 comment heart
2:00:57 comment uh
2:01:00 I'm live now
2:01:05 on uh
2:01:06 tick tock.com
2:01:11 SL AI learning
2:01:16 laab
2:01:18 um
2:01:21 talking of about
2:01:24 Strawberry Fields
2:01:26 Forever let me take you down cuz I'm
2:01:31 going
2:01:33 to
2:01:35 strawber
2:01:39 felds well nothing
2:01:44 isra oh Robert scobble liked our
2:01:48 tweet holy [ __ ]
2:01:52 Robert scoble a beast he's he's been
2:01:55 doing text stuff he was on the call
2:01:57 today how many he's got
2:01:59 9,000 followers be nice if he retweeted
2:02:02 this
2:02:03 buddy let me take you down cuz I'm going
2:02:10 to
2:02:12 Strawberry Feld let's go see what old
2:02:15 strawberry man's up
2:02:18 to pinned he's up to the
2:02:21 letter wait
2:02:24 he he did him in the wrong
2:02:29 order he's s t r a b w
2:02:40 strawy Ah that's
2:02:42 fantastic oh man I hope it comes free
2:02:46 free users probably not who knows thanks
2:02:49 for playing Tams that's really awesome
2:02:52 Tams all right he's a social media OG he
2:02:56 absolutely is um this is really funny
2:03:00 that they got he should delete this
2:03:03 one he should delete the b or delete the
2:03:06 yeah he should delete the
2:03:07 B uh I'm going to tell him that you
2:03:11 might want to
2:03:15 delete
2:03:17 this since it is in the wrong order
2:03:24 or
2:03:27 should qar fix that for
2:03:34 you [ __ ] [ __ ] trolling trolling
2:03:37 the autonomous
2:03:43 agent oh man it's strange that Tam
2:03:45 strawberry
2:03:47 doesn't have a drop- down arrow to
2:03:49 select other models yeah that's
2:03:51 interesting
2:04:14 it might just be because she's on a
2:04:15 phone maybe those the little uh menu
2:04:19 over here lets her select it I don't
2:04:20 know Tam wait accept me for a quick
2:04:24 moment okay good hop hop up here accept
2:04:29 continue what's shaking I I'm like Ultra
2:04:34 nervous okay don't be nervous listen
2:04:38 there's nothing to be nervous about I I
2:04:40 will be the idiot you just you're fine
2:04:43 okay I'm all nervous now okay so I want
2:04:46 to tell you this so I I did The Prompt
2:04:50 that you told me y but I messed it up
2:04:52 the first time but it only let me do a
2:04:56 total of three prompts and then it told
2:04:59 me it told me to upgrade to Pro oh okay
2:05:03 oh interesting okay but usually usually
2:05:07 what happens is that
2:05:11 um like you because I don't have um like
2:05:15 the paid version yeah so usually it'll
2:05:19 give me usually I see a different prompt
2:05:22 once I've used up all of like the
2:05:25 40 yeah it'll it'll drop you to the next
2:05:28 lower model yep yeah and it'll tell me
2:05:31 until what time like usually it'll say
2:05:33 okay in 33 minutes it'll let you you can
2:05:37 use it again kind of thing right well
2:05:39 this this time it didn't it let me use
2:05:43 three
2:05:44 prompts and then it said that I need to
2:05:47 upgrade to
2:05:48 Pro and that's it you can't that's all I
2:05:51 got oh God that's awful all right well
2:05:54 well so the good news is you got access
2:05:56 to it the bad news is they lock they
2:05:59 bricked your app I guess um did did it
2:06:03 give you anything interesting in what
2:06:05 you did prompt oh yeah um
2:06:09 so you there wait you just want you want
2:06:12 just went
2:06:15 muted can you hear me now yeah okay I'm
2:06:18 like Verizon um so if I go to the other
2:06:23 screen that it's on while I'm speaking
2:06:25 to you it puts you on mute oh I see but
2:06:28 it did so the two prompts that I used
2:06:32 the first one that well the first one I
2:06:34 completely messed it up and then the
2:06:36 second one I did it the way you told me
2:06:40 yeah and it I put I told it to do three
2:06:43 words in those sentences starting with
2:06:45 the letter L but it gave me a lot of
2:06:48 them with four words starting with l so
2:06:51 I told told it I reminded it that I told
2:06:54 it to only do three words so it redid it
2:06:57 doing 10 sentences seven words each with
2:07:02 each of them having three words starting
2:07:05 with the letter L so on that third
2:07:07 prompt it did it and then it told me
2:07:09 that I've got no more chances or no more
2:07:11 tries okay that's that's actually huge
2:07:13 the fact that it did it is a big big
2:07:16 deal I've never gotten it to to get
2:07:18 anything remotely close to that so so I
2:07:21 think I think I think this is qar wow
2:07:25 huge cool wow thank you that's awesome
2:07:28 thank you for being the guinea pig no
2:07:31 problem sorry for being a complete
2:07:33 awkward mess no no it's good it's good I
2:07:36 like I'm like I'm like you know go get
2:07:38 Pro go get
2:07:41 Pro it's listen if if you're getting it
2:07:44 it looks like they're gonna not only
2:07:45 announce it tomorrow but roll it
2:07:47 tomorrow so that's that's really
2:07:48 exciting we we should be playing we
2:07:50 should all be playing with this pretty
2:07:52 soon so really exciting thank thank you
2:07:54 so much okay thanks all right bye okay
2:08:10 bye yeah she did great didn't she
2:08:13 everyone that gets up here like I'm all
2:08:14 nervous I'm gonna make an ass of myself
2:08:16 like not as much as I
2:08:19 am I'm totally un qualif
2:08:22 I'm totally unqualified to be here all
2:08:25 right might be worth upgrading even for
2:08:27 a month to try I think so I
2:08:30 mean strawberri ear she rocked it I know
2:08:33 that was really cool that was really
2:08:34 good and she got it to
2:08:36 do so it wasn't perfect so that that is
2:08:40 not surprising to me this this is again
2:08:42 my guess here
2:08:45 is GPT 40 is now the 405 billion
2:08:49 parameter model with qar on top top of
2:08:52 it and then in some months they'll give
2:08:55 us GPT 5 with qstar on top of it and
2:08:58 probably an improved qstar on top of
2:09:01 it that's the point at which I think
2:09:04 [ __ ] changes really fast I wouldn't be
2:09:08 surprised if
2:09:10 gp5 is the level three agentic sort of
2:09:14 stuff but we'll see let's venmo gift sub
2:09:17 to Tams for science love it frumple
2:09:19 that's great that's awesome
2:09:25 oh man can you speak about water in a in
2:09:30 in layman's
2:09:33 terms about
2:09:35 water or do you mean qar what are you
2:09:37 talking about Corey can I speak about
2:09:40 water in layman's terms okay so there's
2:09:43 this thing that's called H2O it's
2:09:46 hydrogen and two atoms of oxygen and and
2:09:50 they're they're held together with like
2:09:51 tily formed bonds or tightly formed
2:09:53 bonds or I don't know some sort anyway
2:09:56 water it's the kind of thing that runs
2:09:58 down rivers and falls from the sky
2:10:00 occasionally from your eye when you're
2:10:02 feeling sad about yourself I I don't
2:10:04 know what you mean
2:10:07 Corey but I'm happy to mansplain water
2:10:10 if you
2:10:11 want CH oh my God okay I thought it I
2:10:16 thought it was a a voice to text
2:10:20 problem um yes um let me see if I can
2:10:24 find hang on a second let me see if I
2:10:26 can find a a
2:10:30 graphic um
2:10:32 qar um
2:10:55 H I can't find it I knew where it was at
2:10:58 some point okay I'll just explain it
2:11:00 okay
2:11:17 um right now when your when your llm
2:11:21 vomits out its answer it just vomits out
2:11:24 its
2:11:26 answer what
2:11:28 qar does it's kind of it's kind of a
2:11:31 game it's a game mechanics
2:11:34 algorithm that that basic I think it was
2:11:37 designed to have NPCs be able to
2:11:39 navigate toward a goal so if here's your
2:11:42 starting point let me okay ah here we go
2:11:46 we're going to the Box okay so this is
2:11:51 our Target this is our goal we want to
2:11:52 get
2:11:54 here we're
2:12:01 here okay wait it's G to be good it's
2:12:04 gon to be good people
2:12:08 okay that's an
2:12:12 obstacle so what qar does is qar knows
2:12:16 it's here it knows it wants to go there
2:12:20 and then it basically says okay I'm
2:12:23 going to take a step this
2:12:26 direction and then it basically says are
2:12:29 you
2:12:30 closer wait like are you in the right
2:12:33 direction or not and if it's in the
2:12:35 wrong direction it gives it a negative
2:12:37 number and then it it basically because
2:12:40 it's got a negative number it wants to
2:12:41 get to a positive number so it basically
2:12:43 backtracks and then it takes a step here
2:12:46 and it says are you closer or farther
2:12:48 away and it's like okay you're closer so
2:12:50 the Q the Q number goes up so so it's
2:12:53 just like if you've ever counted cards
2:12:55 in
2:12:58 Vegas where you've got you know with
2:13:01 with uh with lower number cards they're
2:13:03 minus one and what is it tens are
2:13:05 neutral and then or nines are neutral
2:13:07 whatever the [ __ ] it is and then face
2:13:09 cards are positive and you're you're
2:13:10 keeping a positive negative count count
2:13:12 of the cards and then when the numbers
2:13:15 get to a certain threshold then you up
2:13:18 your bet same same basic idea and so
2:13:20 then this thing go takes a step forward
2:13:22 and it's like great and then it goes to
2:13:24 take a step forward and it hits this
2:13:25 obstacle and it's like it can't take a
2:13:27 step forward so now it takes a step left
2:13:29 and then it says is that you know closer
2:13:31 or not and oh
2:13:34 [ __ ] and then and then and then
2:13:36 basically it using mathematics navigates
2:13:40 its way around obstacles toward the
2:13:44 goal
2:13:47 so that's it kind of mathematically
2:13:50 you've got You' you're either closer to
2:13:52 the goal or not closer to the goal and
2:13:54 your Q score is going up or going down
2:13:57 and if it's going down you're going in
2:13:58 the wrong direction and if it's going up
2:13:59 you're going in the right
2:14:01 direction um I don't know exactly how
2:14:04 that applies to large language models
2:14:06 but I assume what it is is it looks at
2:14:08 your prompt and then it looks at the
2:14:11 answer right um
2:14:14 Target where we are and then it fixes it
2:14:19 and then it goes Target where we are
2:14:21 fixes some more Target where we are
2:14:23 fixes it some more Target where we are
2:14:24 fix so does that make
2:14:27 sense so it's a it's
2:14:30 a it's a it's a reasoning engine it's
2:14:33 basically reasoning it's like is this
2:14:35 better
2:14:36 than based on what they asked for did I
2:14:39 give them what they want no okay let me
2:14:42 try to fix some [ __ ] is that better or
2:14:44 worse that's worse oh okay let me go the
2:14:47 other direction and try to fix some [ __ ]
2:14:49 is that better or worse that's better
2:14:51 great and then it probably does some
2:14:53 number of cycles of of those until it
2:14:55 hits a certain Q score or until maybe
2:14:59 it's five like I don't know or
2:15:02 500 um
2:15:04 cycles and then it's either better or
2:15:06 not but it but again it's like what's
2:15:08 different here
2:15:10 is what all of the doomers have been
2:15:12 talking about is that the core models
2:15:16 have plateaued that they're never going
2:15:18 to get any better which first of all is
2:15:21 [ __ ]
2:15:22 ridiculous but second of all qar is not
2:15:26 about doing anything with the underlying
2:15:28 model it's about putting a reasoning
2:15:30 engine on top of it so the model is what
2:15:34 the model is this thing makes it better
2:15:37 so that's what qar is make
2:15:41 sense and Pate or anyone in here that
2:15:44 knows what the [ __ ] qar is
2:15:46 mathematically if I just made an ass of
2:15:48 myself feel free to troll me if I got
2:15:52 that completely wrong um so it's like
2:15:55 going to the optometrist cam kaken it's
2:15:57 totally like going to the optometrist
2:15:59 they're like flicking the little things
2:16:01 around they they like flick the lenses
2:16:03 and you're like they're like is it
2:16:05 better or worse uh it's
2:16:08 better it's
2:16:10 worse that's totally what it
2:16:13 is that's [ __ ]
2:16:17 perfect and actually I mean that's a
2:16:20 great metaphor right because what it's
2:16:21 doing is it's saying is this answer in
2:16:24 Focus or not is it more or less in Focus
2:16:27 oh it's less in Focus so if it's less in
2:16:29 Focus then let's go the other direction
2:16:31 which is exactly what the optometrist
2:16:33 does that's
2:16:34 great you should do a startup called
2:16:36 option.
2:16:38 aai and what do I do there oh opto not a
2:16:42 yeah there you go that's
2:16:45 good is it better or worse no
2:16:48 clue uh Kyle has a new model now
2:16:51 Optometry machine I got to get one that
2:16:53 would be good just swing it
2:17:01 in and then and then they not only twirl
2:17:05 them this way that then they flip them
2:17:07 right because they've got whatever some
2:17:09 sort of math in
2:17:10 there that's really good that's really
2:17:14 good um hey Kyle okay yeah wait hey Kyle
2:17:18 how is a reasoning engine different from
2:17:20 a logic engine
2:17:22 that I don't
2:17:26 know I don't know I
2:17:29 mean I don't know what a logic engine is
2:17:32 and it it's possible that this is the
2:17:34 same thing but this is some sort of this
2:17:38 is basically it's a relatively simple
2:17:41 thing it's just basically
2:17:43 saying I've got in in any given moment
2:17:46 I've got four four options I can go
2:17:49 forward left right or back right some
2:17:51 version of that and then it just looks
2:17:53 at those and says which one is the
2:17:55 stronger Choice toward my goal and then
2:17:57 it just keeps you know think of like a a
2:18:00 grided game where you're just sort of
2:18:02 moving you know grids and and constantly
2:18:06 analyzing how to get to your goal and
2:18:08 that's how it gets there ask chat
2:18:11 GPT oh yeah well but I don't know I
2:18:14 don't know specifically what to ask it
2:18:18 because let's see logic is either yes or
2:18:20 no reason in decides why oh that's
2:18:22 interesting so I don't I don't know how
2:18:26 what qar is actually classified as
2:18:28 they're calling it reasoning reason is a
2:18:31 wider meaning than logic logic is
2:18:33 biological reason is philosophical all
2:18:35 right we're getting listen I have a
2:18:37 degree in [ __ ] acting here if you
2:18:39 give me the script I'll tell it to
2:18:43 you when we getting it we when we're
2:18:45 getting into
2:18:47 philosophical bents of of uh how we
2:18:51 approach things I I am well out of my
2:18:55 league well Kyle you're well out of your
2:18:57 league for most things shut
2:19:01 up you know he's really not qualified
2:19:04 it's really something Champion what are
2:19:06 you doing you want out you want
2:19:10 out come
2:19:19 on let me take you you down cuz I'm
2:19:23 going
2:19:25 to
2:19:26 Strawberry
2:19:28 F philos Phil philosophy philosophy
2:19:33 creeps into all areas of life and
2:19:35 Technology
2:19:37 woof all
2:19:41 right shocking blows away everything
2:19:44 I've ever used Quantum
2:19:46 33 what's that what what you're using
2:19:49 right now do you have access to
2:19:50 Strawberry quantum
2:19:53 33 is that a pate question I said Pate
2:19:56 that's one wait what's a two uh
2:20:01 uhoh I don't think pate's in here or
2:20:03 Pate would have been commenting on my
2:20:05 whenever I talk about math and
2:20:06 metaphorical terms Pate usually has a
2:20:08 comment yeah technically that was
2:20:10 correct but you know you're being a
2:20:12 little hyperbolic there
2:20:18 Skippy you should be out of your league
2:20:20 Zone that's how you innovate yeah you
2:20:23 know
2:20:24 listen I love I love innovating I love
2:20:27 asking stupid questions it's one of the
2:20:28 things that I've learned in my
2:20:30 professional
2:20:32 life a number of
2:20:34 times is whenever something went really
2:20:39 wrong when we did the analysis of what
2:20:42 went really
2:20:44 wrong in every single
2:20:47 case that could have been prevented had
2:20:50 any one of the 18 capable people in the
2:20:54 room if anyone had been willing to ask
2:20:57 the stupid question like do we have the
2:21:00 site backed up on a local hard
2:21:04 drive for the for the launch party for
2:21:08 Norman pearlstein the most powerful man
2:21:10 in publishing in New York when his wife
2:21:12 Nancy Friday was having a website launch
2:21:16 party that we built the website for and
2:21:20 couldn't get the internet to work at the
2:21:22 party site and didn't have the site on a
2:21:24 hard
2:21:28 drive had anyone asked the stupid
2:21:31 question we would have been
2:21:33 fine Quantum 33 so Quantum 33 do you wna
2:21:37 do you want to hop up on on stage here
2:21:39 um I I would love to have you talk about
2:21:41 what you're experiencing and why it's
2:21:43 better um or you can type it in there if
2:21:45 you're not comfortable hopping up on
2:21:48 stage we have a w tweet did well he had
2:21:52 tweeted a w before did he get rid of the
2:22:00 B let me take you down I'm going to
2:22:06 that's such a beautiful song by the way
2:22:08 isn't it Strawberry Fields nothing is
2:22:12 real
2:22:26 [Music]
2:22:28 isn't it suspicious what was this in
2:22:30 reference to oh isn't it suspicious how
2:22:34 quickly the strawberry thing came into
2:22:37 execution suspiciously quick and yet
2:22:40 they were holding back that's not that
2:22:46 suspicious companies take a while to
2:22:48 launch [ __ ] they got to test it
2:22:54 all
2:23:05 [Music]
2:23:11 right
2:23:14 okay Play the song play the song instead
2:23:18 of me singing it shittily hold please
2:23:26 [Music]
2:23:28 I'll get copyright banned on this which
2:23:31 means I can't monetize this but I can't
2:23:33 do that
2:23:42 anyway your father knows about saving
2:23:45 money everything I'm wearing I've had
2:23:47 since boot camp
2:23:50 [Music]
2:23:56 um Quantum 33 you might need to have
2:24:00 more than a thousand followers to join a
2:24:03 live I'm not sure does anyone else know
2:24:05 that Kyle will qar give you consistency
2:24:08 and response probably not consistency
2:24:12 but probably more consistently
2:24:15 right because they're not designed to
2:24:18 always give you the same answer right
2:24:20 they're designed to be a little creative
2:24:21 in what they do but it but it's probably
2:24:24 better at if you give it a more precise
2:24:27 prompt it's probably better at a precise
2:24:29 answer okay Quantum 33 hit multi- guest
2:24:32 on the bottom to
2:24:34 request okay yeah click on okay multi-
2:24:38 guest got
2:24:41 it multi- guest hosts Premier
2:24:45 ranking I don't know what that means
2:24:52 oops not enough followers wait I see
2:24:55 something Quantum 33 accept
2:25:04 continue yo what's happening can you
2:25:07 hear me yeah
2:25:10 awesome so so so tell me so you got it
2:25:13 when you you just are you the one with
2:25:15 the iPhone 15 Pro yeah I just got this
2:25:18 phone and so I was setting it up uh you
2:25:21 know I have three other phones uh and I
2:25:24 can't get strawberry on the other ones
2:25:27 but this is a brand new yeah this is a
2:25:29 brand new setup and a brand new I had to
2:25:32 download the app and um and then it it
2:25:36 actually and to my sh I was shocked when
2:25:38 I saw it I I just said oh my God so I
2:25:41 heard everything you were talking about
2:25:43 and I said this is real now this is
2:25:45 really real yeah that's that's [ __ ]
2:25:47 huge the fact that they launched a
2:25:49 little of it early okay so so tell me so
2:25:52 so it sounds like you've you've done a
2:25:53 fair amount with chat GPT yeah yeah I
2:25:57 I'm probably one of the the top users uh
2:26:01 of
2:26:02 gp4 okay great and so maybe maybe that
2:26:06 had something to do with it maybe it
2:26:08 didn't but what I've been doing I've
2:26:10 been working on a white paper and then
2:26:12 also all of really highly Advanced
2:26:15 technical stuff uh and you know I've put
2:26:20 it together to I I use about 16
2:26:24 different models um and each one has its
2:26:27 own different flavor but uh but now
2:26:30 you're talking about some are open AI
2:26:32 some are not open AI like use Claude use
2:26:34 this yeah Claude Claude has gotten more
2:26:37 advanced over the last few days that I I
2:26:40 stuff that I've never been able to do it
2:26:44 it's totally shocking uh to what some of
2:26:47 the things that it's done already so I
2:26:49 wonder I wonder if they added if if they
2:26:51 added strawberry if they added they had
2:26:53 to they had to because it's way too
2:26:56 advanced really oh yeah so what's
2:26:59 happening in in chat PT now with
2:27:01 strawberry like what's different well I
2:27:04 I uploaded uh the white paper and I said
2:27:07 do an analysis and and make all the
2:27:11 improvements uh in the white paper and
2:27:14 it it it had a much more real uh tone to
2:27:19 it it was more human
2:27:21 uh than I ever thought and it talked to
2:27:23 me directly uh and then it it it advised
2:27:27 well you should
2:27:28 probably uh depending on your audience
2:27:31 who should uh you should take out the
2:27:34 technology jargon and here's what you
2:27:36 should do if you're going to present it
2:27:38 to other people uh and so it did the
2:27:41 whole white paper this was 93
2:27:44 Pages uh and [ __ ] yeah it analyzed the
2:27:49 whole white paper section by section by
2:27:51 section by section and then made
2:27:53 analysis not only did it make the
2:27:55 analysis it actually made it had the
2:27:57 original and then put the uh what it
2:28:01 recommended uh right next to it so it it
2:28:03 just said this is this is this is what I
2:28:06 think you should do or this is how you
2:28:08 should word it but it it added so much
2:28:12 other little uh tangible things like I
2:28:15 said I I just started working on it
2:28:17 maybe 45 minutes ago but but I tested it
2:28:22 and it was way different the results W
2:28:25 oh you you tested it with like a with a
2:28:27 non strawberry model no oh yeah with the
2:28:30 non- strawberry model I've been working
2:28:31 on it for like four weeks and this model
2:28:35 just blew it away in a second I mean
2:28:38 this is the kind of this is the kind of
2:28:40 stuff I was trying to fix and this is
2:28:42 what I was trying to do it but it you
2:28:45 know sure I'd get my answers but it was
2:28:46 very clunky I always had to yeah go get
2:28:49 it yeah exactly but it's it's like you
2:28:51 know it's funny like the the the current
2:28:54 the current state-of-the-art models is
2:28:56 they're basically like at first glance
2:28:58 you're like oh this is brilliant and
2:28:59 then you start reading it you're like oh
2:29:01 [ __ ] it already said that three times
2:29:03 like oh yeah oh this is just bad right
2:29:05 yeah exactly and and this didn't seem to
2:29:09 do that at all it not only isolated
2:29:13 every section but then also then almost
2:29:16 every paragraph it actually had a
2:29:19 suggestion of how I should do it and
2:29:22 then it asked me well what type of
2:29:23 audience are you really uh looking uh uh
2:29:27 you know at delivering this to so you
2:29:29 can actually do multiple white papers if
2:29:32 you actually wanted to to a different
2:29:34 audience but I I'm pretty impressed just
2:29:37 in the last second because it saved me
2:29:39 so much time already I can't wait until
2:29:41 I get to the other uh stuff that I'm
2:29:43 working on you know but all right cool
2:29:46 well awesome man thank you for thanks
2:29:48 for popping up okay all righty talk to
2:29:50 guys all right bye
2:30:00 [Music]
2:30:16 bye all right um all right it's getting
2:30:19 late I want to we're pro if if indeed
2:30:23 this [ __ ] drops
2:30:26 tomorrow we're going to um we're going
2:30:29 to uh
2:30:32 uh we're proa we'll probably be up late
2:30:35 so I I'll probably go live at some point
2:30:37 tomorrow I'll probably do it during the
2:30:39 announcement we'll see if MC hammers
2:30:42 there can't touch this thank you Lord
2:30:44 digital Gods that's very generous of you
2:30:46 I really appreciate that um okay
2:30:52 let's see I almost dropped my phone on
2:30:54 my face getting sleepy yeah I know it's
2:30:56 really late it's really late Tams is
2:30:59 back in oh cool awesome so so do me a
2:31:03 favor so if you're in the channel and if
2:31:05 indeed you've got
2:31:06 strawberry um just test things and test
2:31:10 things where you kind of know how it
2:31:11 behaved before and see if it behaves any
2:31:14 better there's no magical prompt just
2:31:16 see if it is is you know generally
2:31:19 better at writing better at reasoning
