0:01 are you ready to
0:03 sing let's see let's do this

0:19 days I don't recognize me that these
0:23 shoes and the that place and its
0:28 patrons taking more when I gave
0:33 him it's not easy to
0:36 know I'm not
0:39 anything like I used to be all it's true
0:44 I was never attention sweet Center I
0:49 still remember that
0:51 girl she's
0:53 imperfect but she
0:55 tries she is
0:58 good but she lies
1:01 [Music]
1:02 she
1:05 on she
1:07 is has
1:09 for she is messy but she's
1:14 kind she's
1:17 lonely most of the time she is all of
1:21 this up and baked in a beautiful
1:25 pie she's gone but she used to be my
1:31 [Music]
1:33 [Applause]
1:34 and it's not what I asked for sometimes
1:39 life just SS in through the back door
1:42 and ties up a person makes you believe
1:46 it's all
1:48 true and now I've got you hey
1:52 [Music]
1:59 everybody
2:03 [Music]
2:27 oh oh you're such a star
2:30 you such a showell off that dog that dog
2:35 makes me look
2:36 humble all right welcome everybody that
2:41 was champ Shannon if you haven't met
2:43 champ
2:44 before he's a mut he's a thug of a dog
2:47 he should weigh 45 50 lbs he's topping
2:51 6065 as the uh as the veteran
2:54 veterinarian
2:56 said that Champ's one tubby boy
3:04 this behavior of dog date backs to the
3:06 Wolves I just learned wow that's really
3:08 cool yeah it's it's a very Primal it's a
3:10 very primal thing it's like he has no
3:13 control over like there'll be a guitar
3:15 sound in a TV show that's just way like
3:17 you can barely hear it and you just see
3:19 him his head snaps up and he
3:22 just he just does it a love tub he is a
3:26 love tub that's a lot of dog it's a it's
3:28 a lot of loving in that dog
3:31 there's more dog to
3:33 [Laughter]
3:36 love oh
3:38 man anybody else buy an AI specific
3:42 Hardware device today no
3:46 sissies I didn't buy a Vision Pro I
3:49 didn't have a spare 3700 bucks sitting
3:51 around but I did stumble upon a $200
3:55 device that's probably going to be a
3:56 piece of poop but I bought it I'll show
3:58 you the video of it hey Silver Fox
4:01 what's happening 101 65 pound Chihuahua
4:05 that's pretty
4:06 much you hear it there calling you champ
4:09 65 lb Chihuahua that's just rude it's
4:13 just rude your legs are longer than that
4:15 you can keep that belly off the
4:20 ground we're waiting for you to do a
4:23 demo yeah I'll I'll demo that
4:26 thing it was one of those so
4:30 so when I bought when I bought Google
4:33 Glass I kind of knew in the pit of my
4:35 stomach it was a stupid
4:37 idea and I haven't bought anything like
4:39 it
4:40 since and so this is one of those but it
4:43 was only 200 bucks and it the Design's
4:45 really cool it was designed by teenage
4:47 engineering which is they designed
4:49 really cool [ __ ] um so the design is
4:52 just super cool and then the demo you'll
4:54 see the demo is pretty slick
4:57 so um and and there's there there's a
5:00 couple of things about it I like there's
5:02 there's something listen the reason
5:05 we're all talking about AI is that chat
5:08 GPT had a different form factor from
5:11 machine learning for the three decades
5:13 previous to it KY sent you a DM on MN
5:18 all right let me go check the DM on
5:27 MN oh oh is this about is this about
5:30 your your mad investor
5:36 base now now that you're a uh now that
5:39 you're a GPT Mogul not speaking to the
5:41 little people anymore is this a DM about
5:46 that
5:49 oh oh
5:58 wow what wow this is
6:01 cool so Daisy not
6:04 bragging not bragging about her uh her
6:08 investor
6:10 interest this is an AI generated
6:13 impersonating Elvis or like will frell
6:15 impersonating George W bush with that
6:18 said please enjoy my second hourlong
6:20 comedy special I'm calling it George
6:22 Carlin I'm glad I'm dead and please
6:25 remember this is me impersonating George
6:27 Carlin this is not George Carlin now
6:30 please give a very warm welcome to
6:31 George
6:33 [Applause]
6:42 Carlin thank you thank you I'd like to
6:45 start off with a heartfelt apology I'm
6:47 sorry it took me so long to come out
6:49 with new material but I I do have a
6:50 pretty good excuse I was
6:54 dead that's actually pretty good uh
6:57 pretty good inflection right there I was
6:58 dead
7:00 [ __ ] I was a huge huge Carlin fan huge
7:04 that's really cool I'll check that out
7:05 all right it's called George Carlin I'm
7:07 glad I'm dead 2024 full special hourong
7:11 special 2023 the last normal year 2023
7:16 the last normal year remember this
7:18 people 2024 is going to get weird it's
7:21 it's it's starting quiet we're starting
7:24 slow what are we 9 days in we're 9 days
7:27 in everyone's like it's going to be okay
7:30 I think it's going to be all right it's
7:31 going to be all right right it's going
7:33 to be good we're just going to make
7:34 money with Chi P right you can make
7:37 money with
7:39 ch
7:41 so we're going to do that the uh excuse
7:45 me the GPT store didn't launch but I did
7:49 see some screenshots
7:52 today that are very possibly oh I got to
7:54 do
7:56 my hang on I gotta figure figure out how
8:00 to do my two Factor authentication I set
8:04 up choose a different use a code
8:08 generator app hang on a sec let me turn
8:12 this away from
8:14 here enter code use
8:18 a
8:20 this use a code generator
8:28 app
8:37 [Laughter]
8:40 17 Factor authentication just got me all
8:44 right it's it's it's bugging out I'm
8:46 saying use a backup code no I don't have
8:49 that let's see it should take me
8:58 somewhere
9:16 no it's broken all right I can't show
9:18 you anything on Twitter God damn
9:26 [Music]
9:28 it
9:31 have I ever said on this channel that
9:33 Tech All Tech is just janky pieces of
9:37 [ __ ] have I ever said that before I
9:40 don't think I have this is a theory I
9:42 have all technology not just AI
9:45 technology all technology are just it's
9:48 just janky pieces of [ __ ] and we
9:51 tolerate it because we want to be cool
9:54 we we don't know how to admit that our
9:56 super slick MacBook Pro that costs more
9:58 than a car
10:00 is just a piece of
10:10 [ __ ] what's up madcap what's shaking
10:14 what's shaking jrc
10:17 100% oh Vicky hey hey Vicky I gotta I
10:21 gotta get my uh my thirdparty
10:24 verification code from Twitter but when
10:26 I say try to hook up a thirdparty
10:29 verific a app use a code generator app
10:31 normally what this would do is it take
10:33 me to a uh a QR code that I could shoot
10:37 with my verification app and then it
10:40 would give me a code and then it would
10:42 be easy but it just takes me back to
10:44 enter the code and it pre-fills in my
10:46 email address where a code should be
10:48 yeah that's
10:50 good yeah yeah yeah
10:54 y
10:56 yep yeah yeah that was a sarcastic
11:00 de Kyle have you seen the new AI
11:03 assistant device the rabbit R1 is an AI
11:06 powered 101 you're stealing my thunder
11:09 here
11:12 dude it's an AI powered Gadget that can
11:15 use your apps for you that's the one I
11:18 ordered okay fine we'll go
11:21 there all right now not the most
11:25 compelling CEO on the planet Steve Jobs
11:27 he is not um
11:30 but I I at least save you the
11:33 first eight minutes of the video where
11:36 he talks about okay so here's the one
11:39 interesting thing so what I'm about to
11:40 show you is the rabbit
11:43 R1 um it's a handheld device so so
11:47 there's that device that came out not
11:49 that long ago the pin by Humane that was
11:53 an $800 device that
11:57 required cell phone connection or at
12:00 least its own
12:02 whatever this is a $200
12:05 device without
12:08 um without a subscription
12:11 required
12:13 um the industrial design was by
12:18 um was by teenage engineering teenage
12:21 engineering I think that's what they're
12:22 called they make music synthesizers and
12:24 crap like that those cool little
12:27 calculators um and just just watch watch
12:30 what it does Pika is in Discord okay all
12:34 right let's see let's see how it works I
12:37 can ask rabbit for anything just like if
12:40 I'm using chbt the difference though is
12:43 a speed with rabbit OS I get a response
12:46 10 times faster than most of the voice
12:49 AI project rabbit answers my questions
12:52 within 500 milliseconds half a second
12:55 with a push to talk button you don't
12:57 need to say anything to wake it up
12:59 just press and hold a button and talk
13:02 like so that's cool so it's got It's
13:04 like a walkie-talkie you push a button
13:07 so there's a hardware button so so you
13:09 know how you go hey and then the name of
13:13 your jealous assistant on your Mac um
13:17 you don't have to say that you just push
13:18 the button and talk and it knows you're
13:20 talking to it I thought that that that
13:22 seems like a clever hack like a
13:24 walkie-talkie now let's give you a shot
13:27 what's the nature of the reality
13:30 the nature of reality is a topic that
13:32 has captivated the minds of Phil all
13:34 right and so you're thinking like okay
13:36 that you know that's chat gbt yeah um
13:38 but look at some of the design so it's
13:39 got a screen which is cool it's got a
13:42 camera here which which flips so so it's
13:46 it's basically on a cylinder I I don't
13:48 know why someone hasn't thought of that
13:50 before like like we've got you know 17
13:52 cameras on our devices all pointing
13:54 different directions you could just put
13:56 it on a cylinder and flip it around
13:57 which is what they did and then it's got
13:59 a scroll wheel a physical scroll wheel
14:01 and it's like you know it fits in the
14:02 size of your palm so just industrial
14:05 design wise I'm digging this and then
14:06 one button a button a scroll wheel a
14:09 camera and a screen and then microphone
14:11 and
14:12 speaker philosophers and thinkers
14:14 throughout
14:16 history according to Bertrand Russell
14:18 reality is composed of hard data derived
14:20 from sensory experiences and logical
14:23 analysis it is the amalgamation of our
14:25 perceptions thoughts and the external
14:28 world I can speak or type with R1 if you
14:31 shake R1 a keyboard will pop up you will
14:36 also know response speed is much faster
14:39 than using some of the LM assistant apps
14:42 with web browser such as
14:44 CHT what's the stock price of
14:46 Coca-Cola searching for the stock price
14:49 of
14:51 Coca-Cola the stock price of Coca-Cola
14:54 KO is
14:56 $59.7 who played the role open in
14:59 Christopher Nolan's latest movies in
15:02 Christopher Nolan's most recent film
15:04 Oppenheimer the role of Jay Robert
15:06 Oppenheimer is played by Killian
15:08 Murphy the film is a biographical
15:10 Thriller that explores the story of
15:12 American scientist Jay Robert
15:14 Oppenheimer and so they're doing some
15:15 interesting stuff with with uh with
15:18 design and bringing in imagery right
15:20 which chat GPT doesn't do yet Google
15:22 bard does this decently well when you
15:24 ask for [ __ ] off the web his involvement
15:26 in the development of the atomic
15:28 bomb
15:30 now let's see how the large action model
15:33 works okay large action model so one of
15:36 the things that they talk about here one
15:37 of the things that these guys did which
15:39 is one of the reasons I ordered this is
15:43 that I think this is a slick idea um so
15:47 large language models trained up on lots
15:49 of
15:50 um
15:53 language large action model is trained
15:56 up on computer interfaces so iPhone
15:59 interfaces Android interfaces and
16:01 desktop interfaces and so they've got a
16:04 large language model that you can
16:06 basically teach how to use software and
16:09 it looks like they've trained up a bunch
16:11 of software ahead of time so you can
16:13 just hook it up $199 Be not Afraid 199
16:17 bucks which which again Google Glass was
16:19 like 1,700 bucks or500 bucks when I
16:22 bought that stupid [ __ ] thing and
16:24 that had no software in it it didn't
16:25 have a large language model behind it it
16:27 made you look like an Absol
16:29 tool um and uh you know I I I used it
16:33 like four times and I was done so this
16:36 is this is a low enough investment that
16:38 even if it's a piece of crap it's at
16:40 least good industrial design it'll look
16:42 good on my shelf behind me so that's how
16:45 I'm justifying it can it make phone
16:47 calls I think but I'm not sure rabbit R1
16:50 can interact with all kinds of
16:52 applications introducing the rabbit hole
16:55 WIP P yeah in fact he says it's got a
16:57 it's got a Sim slot
17:00 um so that you can you can hook it to
17:02 sell it's also got Wi-Fi I can log into
17:05 different services and unlock
17:07 functionalities for hour1 it it says uh
17:10 just me in the trees it says there's no
17:12 subscription fee it says it's $199 with
17:14 with no subscription fee in fact let's
17:16 go to order now so $1.99 no subscription
17:20 required doesn't mean there isn't a
17:22 subscription it says no subscription
17:27 required
17:29 okay did I
17:32 oh I have complete control with lamb
17:36 rabit searching for the stock price of
17:38 Coca-Cola Robert Oppenheimer is played
17:41 American scientist with lamb rabbit R1
17:44 can interact with all kinds of
17:46 applications large Mod The Rabbit Hole
17:49 web portal I can log into different
17:51 services and unlock functionalities for
17:54 hour1 is it
17:56 upgr let's say I want to listen to some
17:58 music
18:03 this is a little painful watch rbit
18:05 portal watching him set it up I have
18:07 complete control over which Services I
18:09 want to activate on my R1 and which
18:12 provider I prefer for music I use SP
18:15 basic yourd he's basically saying we
18:18 protect your privacy
18:21 here password and we don't track your
18:24 data the authentication happens under
18:28 respect
18:29 apps now I'm logging with
18:35 Spotify what does that mean it runs
18:38 offline or will you need Wi-Fi I don't
18:40 know Joker I listen here's my my
18:44 expectation of this thing is that it's a
18:48 C+ at at probably at best
18:53 um like decently
18:57 usable um if if it's anything better
18:59 than that I'll be pleasantly surprised
19:01 but the like it demo is pretty slick and
19:04 you'll see here in the toward the end he
19:06 um he talks about being able to train it
19:09 on your own software your own software
19:12 OS recognized that Spotify has been
19:15 authenticated on my device before this
19:18 presentation I
19:20 pre-authenticated some other apps like
19:22 uber and door
19:26 Dash so Kayla says I feel like this is
19:29 just chat GPT in conversation mode well
19:31 it it is but like what he's getting into
19:34 now are actions so what he demoed before
19:37 was chat GPT in a hardware device agree
19:39 with that this large action model that
19:43 they're talking about means it can
19:45 control software and that's what he's
19:47 about to
19:49 demo just choose your preferred services
19:52 and loging through them to get
19:53 authenticated on your device it's that
19:56 easy now let's play some music
19:59 play craftworks pocket
20:02 calculator playing pocket calculator by
20:05 craftwork for
20:11 you look the little bunny got headphones
20:14 that was cute play another song from the
20:18 album sure playing computer love for
20:24 you that's all the tracks from the Same
20:27 album who wrote the lyrics for Joker saw
20:32 Raspberry Pi running llms offline the
20:34 other day yeah we had so Joker we had um
20:37 a guy from from here on Tik Tok uh came
20:40 and spoke at the AI Salon uh he demoed
20:43 that he he set up his Raspberry Pi to
20:46 run an llm it was Prett
20:50 impressive Ralph hutter and Emil schul
20:52 wrote the lyrics for the song Computer
20:54 Love by craftwork which band sampled
20:57 this song
20:59 cheese please confirm your order oh here
21:02 we
21:03 go I can also use R1 to call a ride get
21:07 me ride from my office home now of
21:09 course I will book an Uber ride for you
21:11 from your office to your
21:13 home so this is the stuff this is the
21:16 stuff that is not chat GPT right the
21:18 fact that this thing can control
21:20 software Services you authenticate your
21:23 software Services once they're
21:24 authenticated it can take actions on
21:27 your behalf and it can run more than one
21:29 service in a row it can it can run a
21:31 sequence of
21:35 events please confirm the
21:38 ride I have six people with three
21:40 blockages find me Uber that can fit all
21:43 of us for six people and three pieces of
21:45 luggage I recommend booking an Uber XL
21:47 as it provides ample space for all
21:49 passengers and
21:52 Luggage please confirm the ride the ride
21:56 shows up I just hit confirm
21:59 over on my way I can also use R1 to
22:02 order
22:03 food get me a 12 in pizza from Pizza Hut
22:06 deliver to here the most ordered option
22:08 on the app is fine ordering a 12in pizza
22:11 from Pizza Hut since you mentioned that
22:13 the most ordered option is fine I will
22:15 select that for
22:19 you I just created an
22:25 order can you plan the entire trip for
22:27 me to
22:29 London apps to finish Giller cheese
22:33 please confirm your
22:35 order that sounds really good I just
22:37 confirm an order
22:38 here now I'm waiting for my pizza I can
22:42 also make R1 to a set of more complex
22:45 actions that may take multiple apps to
22:47 finish on a smartphone for example if I
22:50 want to plan a trip to London I can just
22:53 describe what I wish in full to
22:56 R1 I want to take my family to London
22:59 it's going to be two of us and a child
23:01 of age 12 we're thinking of January 30th
23:04 to February 5th can you plan the entire
23:07 trip for me we like cheap non-stop
23:09 flight the fact that I can understand
23:11 him is impressive I can barely
23:13 understand
23:14 him seats a cool SUV and a nice hotel
23:18 that has
23:19 Wi-Fi exploring ticketing options to
23:22 make your triple
23:27 reality
23:34 for your trip I found various flight
23:36 options a range of hotels to choose from
23:38 and car rentals available please confirm
23:41 each option individually for further
23:43 details and booking right so this is
23:45 starting the this is autonomous agents
23:48 right we've been talking about a
23:49 autonomous agents in this channel a fair
23:51 amount where you just give it a goal and
23:55 it went you know whatever you've given
23:57 it access to for flight options it's F
23:59 it's finding hotels it's finding rides
24:01 it's finding itinerary stuff so it's
24:04 using multiple Services based on a
24:06 single goal so it's all been planned out
24:08 I just confirm confirm confirm and
24:11 that's it now how long it actually takes
24:15 it to perform all those actions I assume
24:17 because this is demo
24:19 Weare it probably took a minute or two
24:22 minutes for it to do all that [ __ ] I
24:24 doubt it did it in 10 seconds just
24:28 [ __ ] doesn't happen like that if it like
24:32 it's going to again 2024 is going to get
24:34 weird but um still still even if it
24:38 takes it a minute or two if you can just
24:39 say go plan a trip to London for my
24:42 family on these dates and it goes off
24:44 and does [ __ ] um even if it takes five
24:47 minutes what's that what do you care
24:48 you're off doing whatever your else else
24:50 in your life instead of being you know
24:53 looped in for 45 minutes trying to do
24:55 this on your own could you come up with
24:57 a schedule for fun things to do while
24:59 I'm over
25:00 there on
25:03 it I have prepared a detailed travel
25:06 plan for your trip in summary you will
25:08 be exploring London's iconic landmarks
25:11 visiting museums enjoying delicious
25:13 meals at local restaurants and
25:14 experiencing the vibrant atmosphere of
25:16 different
25:19 neighborhoods navigation details are
25:21 also prepared and I can help you book
25:23 tickets for Joker I have crew aai
25:25 running agents now Kyle it's new but
25:28 potential is there yeah exactly I so
25:31 listen all those all those uh those open
25:33 source agent things are super cool um
25:36 yeah this stuff's coming again this
25:39 these agents so so if you haven't been
25:41 paying attention to CES there's almost
25:44 every company is announcing AI something
25:47 right um this this was one of the
25:49 Keynotes so okay we don't know how much
25:51 setup was done before this PR video did
25:54 he
25:56 cue all this
25:58 ahead of time absolutely well
26:01 so so at a minimum he set up so so you
26:05 saw when he when he was on the on his
26:08 laptop there was a configure screen that
26:10 had a whole bunch of services that were
26:12 pre-authenticated so yeah you're going
26:14 to have to you're going to have to give
26:16 this thing permission to whatever
26:18 Services you wanted to go
26:20 use so I'm sure he set up you know trip
26:23 planner and daily agenda and Expedia and
26:28 whatever like uber obviously they
26:30 connected to it so so all that stuff's
26:32 pre-authenticated once the shit's
26:34 authenticated if it knows how to use a
26:36 service it knows how to use a service
26:39 so where this things get gets powerful
26:42 is when you have 30 or 50 different
26:45 Services authenticated and you just tell
26:47 it to go do [ __ ] and it goes and does it
26:49 because it knows what they all do and
26:51 it's because it's got a large language
26:53 model as the core one of the reasons I
26:55 bought this is this is even if they sort
26:59 of have
27:01 only partially gotten the software right
27:05 the fact that you have a large language
27:07 model that's that's now teamed up with
27:09 this what they're calling a lamb a large
27:11 action
27:13 model the large language model
27:16 understands all the directions and how
27:19 to how to reason about stuff and then it
27:22 then
27:23 knows um what services it has available
27:26 to it and just sends Direct down to this
27:29 large action model that then knows how
27:30 to use the software so rather than
27:33 having to go to five different apps on
27:35 your phone or your desktop this thing
27:37 just does it so that that's the that's
27:41 the thing I really wanted to experiment
27:42 with here I like the I like the form
27:45 factor of this thing I just think it's
27:47 cute and it's good it's like it it's
27:48 novel right this is this is the first
27:52 actually unique kind of form factor I've
27:54 seen on a on a device like this I mean
27:56 the pin the the pin thing is interesting
28:00 but like I miss having a screen and I
28:02 miss having you know some tactic
28:05 tactile um interaction so that scroll
28:08 wheel in the button is kind of slick any
28:11 events you'd like to attend R1 just plan
28:13 the entire trip for me that's awesome
28:15 but it seems like this is a little bit
28:17 too intense can you plan a easy schedule
28:20 for us right and like that interaction
28:23 right there it went off and it it
28:25 planned a trip and he goes oh that was
28:28 too complicated make it more simple let
28:30 that's the kind of [ __ ] kind of stuff I
28:32 do with chat GPT all the time it's like
28:34 it'll give me something I'm like nah I
28:36 don't like that make it more simple make
28:37 it more this make it more that the fact
28:39 that you can now do that with actions
28:42 where it goes and you know makes this
28:44 whole itinerary and you're like nah I
28:45 don't like that that's stupid do it
28:48 again it'll just go do it
28:53 again BT comp comp my my l Large Ass
28:58 model is going to trigger their
29:01 L sure I'm working on
29:12 it please take a look at it and let me
29:15 know what you think if it's that fast
29:18 I'll be very impressed gave me a more
29:19 relaxed schedule every day with all the
29:22 details sounds really good and now I
29:24 just confirm
29:26 that can foresee a wonderful trip Isn't
29:30 that cool huh R1 can help me reach
29:33 others just like a phone but smarter it
29:36 come with a build-in real-time
29:38 translator and a notaker removing the
29:41 final barriers to communication R1
29:44 automatically detects the language
29:46 spoken in the environment and provide
29:48 the bidirectional translation R1 has an
29:51 i an onboard camera designed for
29:54 advanced computer vision it can analyze
29:57 surrounding and take actions in real
29:59 time to activate the ey just double tap
30:03 the
30:05 button all right he skipped over so he
30:08 said the the the language thing so right
30:10 now you could have I can say to chat
30:12 gpt's app I want you to translate
30:16 whatever I say in English into Mandarin
30:20 Chinese right and then you could have it
30:23 do it back but it's built into this
30:24 device the
30:25 bidirectional translation is built into
30:28 the
30:29 device oh funny seeing you here
30:36 Rick let me take a
30:45 look Never Going To Give You Up playing
30:49 now enjoy wouldn't be a keynote at CES
30:52 without a Rick Roll would
30:53 [Music]
30:56 it what am I getting Rick Roll in my own
30:59 keynote yes let's move on to the next
31:01 one yes let's
31:04 please all right this is what I got let
31:07 me ask it to make him a recipe for [ __ ]
31:10 inness
31:11 fridge okay found
31:16 us sure let me take a look at the table
31:18 and add the matching column for you also
31:21 help you with your
31:25 documents and cabbage with the cream of
31:28 that nice it recognized all the stuff
31:31 and gave me the actual recipes rabbit ey
31:34 can also help you with your
31:41 documents here's the table I've been
31:43 working on for job questionnaire can you
31:46 create an additional column that matches
31:48 candidates who mentioned rabbit then
31:49 their are questions about how they found
31:53 us sure let me take a look at the table
31:56 and add the matching column for you
32:05 I process the table and send you an
32:07 email with the
32:08 results okay now let's check our email I
32:12 can continue to interact with rabid OS
32:15 even Beyond R1 let's reply this email
32:17 directly can you see so so there's a bit
32:22 of a a bit of a hack where he took a
32:25 picture of his computer screen
32:28 with a spreadsheet on it said add a
32:30 column and then it said okay I'll email
32:32 you that file so so it basically
32:35 recreates that file adds a column emails
32:38 that to him what it should do is it
32:40 should be connected to his laptop so he
32:43 can point the camera at it and say add a
32:45 column and it'll add it directly to the
32:48 Excel file but whatever that'll be
32:50 V2 and someone just said couldn't this
32:53 be done with a
32:56 device being
32:59 your phone well it it potentially could
33:02 Earth rocker but
33:06 um you would
33:08 need you would need an AI layer that has
33:12 access to running iOS and has access to
33:15 running your apps and knows how to run
33:18 your apps so so yeah you could but
33:24 there's there's there's a
33:30 it's going to be harder for legacy
33:32 platforms to completely rethink how you
33:35 use
33:37 applications you know suppose if you end
33:40 up loving it we'll we'll have to add
33:42 rabbits to our farm I think we will add
33:46 another column here I want to get to
33:49 this one last thing that I thought was
33:52 interesting and I got a refined version
33:55 from rabbit o through my email PA teach
33:57 mode okay teach mode R1 can do that too
34:01 we are experimenting with what we call
34:03 the teach mode just like how I can teach
34:06 my friend how to scard I can show R1 how
34:09 to do it and it will learn from this
34:11 means that any user regardless of
34:14 technical background can teach R1 to
34:17 learn new
34:19 skills so you go to teach Mode start a
34:21 new
34:22 session today I will show you how to
34:25 generate an image of copy using me
34:28 Journey from prompt using Discord first
34:31 I will go to the servers page and click
34:34 one my own servers since this is only a
34:37 general image generation I'll go to Mid
34:40 Journey text
34:42 Channel then I will use the image
34:46 command along with the
34:49 prompt here I'm putting a cute baby wild
34:54 dog with big eyes animated
34:58 cartoon onreal
35:00 8K let's wait for a minute for the
35:03 engine to start generating the
35:14 images that's some cute
35:17 puppies them puppies is cute I like cute
35:20 puppies puppies tasty hey once it's done
35:24 let's click on the image to get a link
35:33 come on do some editing here speed it up
35:36 Skippy come
35:47 on I will then explain to Rabbit OS how
35:50 to use this rabbit and annotate it so
35:54 that I can generate anything not just
35:56 poppets
35:58 so let's go back to our web portal
36:01 submit request it takes seconds for the
36:04 web portal to finish
36:09 processing and that's it it's that
36:12 simple now once we finished the training
36:14 I so so it looks like it looks like what
36:17 just happened there is they're doing a
36:20 screen recording of you using
36:23 software they're recording that they're
36:26 analyzing
36:28 what you did in the interface and
36:30 because they have a large action model
36:32 that's been trained on computer
36:33 interfaces it it kind of knows what to
36:36 do and so I can go back to my R1 now
36:40 let's use mid Journey as I told you to
36:42 generate a picture of a bunny in pixel
36:45 art
36:47 style certainly
36:50 Jesse I will use mid journey to generate
36:52 a picture of a bunny in pixel art style
36:54 for you please give me a moment to
36:56 create create the image so now it's
36:59 going off to Mid journey to
37:09 Discord now here you go you got a image
37:12 generated on Mid journey through teach
37:15 mode watch learn and repeat that's teach
37:19 mode it's that simple that's all the
37:22 demos for today that's it so um will any
37:26 of this [ __ ] work I don't
37:30 know is it going to be a janky ass piece
37:33 of [ __ ] of course that's the that's the
37:36 era we're in people have you learned
37:39 nothing from me of course it's going to
37:42 be a janky Pace as [ __ ] look is Cindy
37:45 [ __ ] in here look you got your raccoon
37:47 front and center look at
37:53 that hello everybody Welcome to the AI
37:56 learning lab that was a little rabbit
37:58 hole we went down how much time did that
37:59 kill 40
38:04 minutes Bunny's in Show and Tell oh
38:08 yeah bunny Bunny's gonna be there
38:11 Bunny's gonna Bunny's gonna
38:20 bunny baby rabbit would like to be part
38:22 of the AI
38:24 Zoo they've got to be they've got to be
38:28 orange yeah well see oh that's good oh
38:30 the lamb I get
38:32 it that's
38:35 clever all technology are janky pieces
38:37 of
38:40 [ __ ] oh [ __ ]
38:42 sorry look at
38:46 that all right bunnies are getting added
38:49 orange Lambs I think orange bunnies
38:52 technology are janky pieces of [ __ ] they
38:55 really are can we just finally accept it
38:59 instead of our little Tech worship [ __ ]
39:01 we can just say it's just it was a bunch
39:04 of bros that got together and soldered
39:06 some crap together and then it turned
39:07 into what we used today and it's all
39:12 awful there's
39:14 champy welcome to the
39:22 lab chat gbt the musical solid solid oh
39:27 by the way I I I put on LinkedIn that I
39:30 ordered that stupid [ __ ] piece of
39:32 Hardware man am I getting
39:37 trolled people are just like you know
39:39 it's going to be stupid
39:41 right well yeah of course it's gonna be
39:45 stupid oh man all
39:51 right there's a chance this is blandon's
39:54 that's actually a good that's a good mug
40:00 uh uh uh uh cool stuff and show and tell
40:03 by the way if you if you're wondering
40:04 what I'm looking at this is the show and
40:06 tell channel in the AI Salon if you
40:08 don't know what the AI Salon
40:10 is that is the URL for the AI
40:14 salon and let's see there you go the AI
40:19 Salon is a community I started a little
40:22 over a year ago week after chat GPT came
40:25 out to surround
40:27 myself with as many people as possible
40:31 that
40:33 were have lost their minds about this AI
40:36 stuff because I had a feeling that I
40:38 would be one of the weird ones was
40:40 talking about this and everyone else
40:42 would be like what are you talking about
40:43 could you shut up about AI Kyle could
40:45 you stop now this is stupid I don't want
40:47 to hear this anymore so I wanted to find
40:50 the other weirdos so that's what this
40:51 group is I'm worried our a animals will
40:54 will become experimental oh they're
40:57 Mighty experimental already Clint I
40:59 think I think that ship has sailed
41:02 that's an actual blandon's mug Kyle oh
41:04 that's so good that's really good I like
41:12 it where is
41:14 it there's a chance this is
41:17 Blandon wow look at that 15 15 o ceramic
41:23 mug that's pretty solid and a bland 's
41:27 logo on the back hand wash only I like
41:30 it I like it all right there's the
41:34 orange
41:36 bunny the bunny with
41:42 lamb new activity new
41:46 activity orange
41:53 bunny oh that's really
41:55 good that's really good he should be
41:57 holding a scroll wheel and have like a
42:00 button on the side of his
42:03 head here look let's go look at the uh
42:06 let's go look at the thing
42:10 [Music]
42:12 again where where is it
42:17 keynote order
42:20 now see little scroll wheel oh and then
42:24 the rotating
42:25 eye
42:28 I mean I I kind of feel like for a new
42:30 piece of Hardware like this $199 is is
42:33 pretty cheap like if you have like a
42:35 cool little device that I don't know you
42:38 just talk into and it does [ __ ] like
42:40 that and you can make it do [ __ ] like it
42:42 could actually send an email could I get
42:45 my phone to do that I could but is it
42:47 going to cost me more than four hours of
42:50 my time at $50 an
42:53 hour yes so
42:57 that's worth 200 bucks to see if it
42:59 works that D Buddy needs to cut back on
43:02 the carrot
43:04 intake I can't handle all these requests
43:07 Mr
43:11 Shannon oh that's
43:15 funny all right what do we got going
43:17 what are we going to do tonight what do
43:18 you want to do people we're not making a
43:21 movie okay I know I promised we'd be
43:23 making a movie over the next 3 weeks but
43:25 here's what we learned real work is
43:29 boring so we're not going to do
43:43 that AI mods let me see what's going on
43:46 in
43:50 there that
43:55 tonight
43:59 all right mods are figuring some [ __ ]
44:02 out
44:04 cool
44:10 [Music]
44:13 um have you gone into any of the Google
44:17 vertex AI Studio stuff I haven't
44:22 TK just because a lot of that Google Dev
44:25 stuff is is a level geekier than I have
44:29 the attention span
44:31 for um and I know the the the Google
44:34 vertex stuff lets you it like I feel
44:37 like the vertex stuff is kind of the
44:39 equivalent of the of the open AI
44:42 playground um and I don't use that
44:45 anymore CU there there's so much to
44:47 explore with the the consumer grade [ __ ]
44:49 I'm just
44:50 not I'm just not dealing with that I'm
44:53 dealing with a little bit of development
44:54 of my company and I'm letting the
44:55 engineers do the actual development I'm
44:58 just I'm just being like product guy no
45:01 make it shinier make it faster make it
45:03 do that no that's wrong make it do that
45:07 so it's about the speed I can handle
45:09 right now this this shit's moving too
45:12 fast for me to to get all hot and
45:14 bothered about tactical
45:17 execution oh man all right I expect at
45:21 least 10% of these new startups and CES
45:23 to be bought by the big boys absolutely
45:27 you didn't get that mug because someone
45:29 was worried it might lead to a timeout
45:32 oh that's a
45:34 drag oh Tick
45:37 Tock orange bunny and
45:42 Sh here let's go it looks like I didn't
45:45 mean to assign actually assign work to
45:48 you but since I did why don't we go see
45:51 if see how you did we'll grade
45:54 it bunny was scroll wheel scroll wheel
46:03 eyes oh y'all are funny y'all are
46:07 funny that's a surfing bunny right there
46:10 that's actually kind of what this
46:11 thing's doing right it's like it's like
46:13 taking action on the apps on your phone
46:16 with its little large action model the
46:21 lamb very interesting people oh that's
46:24 from Cindy [ __ ] what's happening
46:27 what's
46:34 happening
46:36 better irregular than
46:40 irrelevant indeed people
46:45 indeed but Kyle that's not spelled
46:47 correctly I don't know if you knew this
46:49 but you know these AI they don't spell
46:52 very good they also hallucinate you know
46:54 the lie to you the lie to you right in
46:55 your face with
47:06 confidence
47:14 oh all
47:20 right what's the specs on this on that
47:23 rabbit thing it's $200 and it's got a
47:26 button and a scroll wheel and a camera
47:28 and a screen those are the
47:30 specs it's got a SIM card slot a
47:33 microphone a
47:37 speaker it doesn't [ __ ] matter it's a
47:40 juny piece of
47:45 [ __ ] the R2 will be better the R3 will
47:49 be good I'm getting the R1 because it's
47:52 only 200 bucks if it were 500 bucks I
47:54 wouldn't be touching it
47:58 I don't even expect it to ship I expect
48:01 that my 200 bucks will be returned to me
48:04 because they they they had manufacturing
48:06 issues because some small country got
48:09 into Civil War
48:15 like
48:17 oh oh
48:21 man oh lordy lordy lordy how actively is
48:26 this product listing that's the scary
48:28 part oh listening it's only listening
48:31 when you push the button it's a
48:33 walkie-talkie
48:35 button wait Chris Chris Chris vertical
48:40 bar AI how active is this product
48:43 listening do you own a phone and a
48:45 computer you know that they're listening
48:47 all the time right like even when
48:49 they're
48:52 off you're worried about the rabbit
48:55 R1
48:56 Google listens to everything Google
48:58 knows
49:00 everything you have an Alexa in your
49:02 house you're worried about the little
49:06 rabbit come on people look at
49:12 reality is everyone is so eager to
49:14 demonize AI they forgot that they've
49:17 already given all their data away it's
49:19 already
49:22 gone definitely cool I'm anxious to see
49:25 how it works for you might be my next
49:26 toy too yeah I'll I'll I'll definitely
49:29 I'll definitely let you know listen you
49:31 know me if it sucks I'll tell you how do
49:34 you think the image selling services
49:37 with Will
49:39 pivot now that we can create our own I
49:41 think they're
49:42 [ __ ] I I think I think stock images
49:45 and stock
49:48 videos like
49:50 like that's almost an identical
49:54 question to um
49:57 what do you what do you think the uh the
49:59 stores that that rent
50:02 vhs's um think of of you know be being
50:07 able to mail
50:11 DVDs they're they're
50:15 [ __ ] and then what do you think the
50:17 DVD mailing companies think of the fact
50:20 that you can just watch movies on the
50:21 internet now they're
50:24 [ __ ]
50:27 um do you review the updates to chat
50:30 GPT you
50:33 mean do I do I review them like do I
50:36 review change logs and things like that
50:38 no I just assume that GPT is going to
50:41 work today and not work
50:43 tomorrow I
50:45 figure my my my relationship with chat
50:49 GPT is three times a week I'm cussing at
50:52 it and three times a week I'm praising
50:54 it
50:59 any expectation okay
51:02 people
51:04 people you should get curious about this
51:06 stuff you should learn this stuff you
51:08 should build with this stuff you should
51:09 explore this stuff you should use chat
51:11 GPT every day you should use it to solve
51:14 all of your problems and you should
51:17 expect that it will fail miserably
51:20 multiple times a
51:22 day it's the phase of the industry we're
51:25 in we're in the you piece of [ __ ] phas
51:27 of
51:31 AI well then I'm not going to I can't
51:33 use it commercially then don't use it
51:36 commercially use it to plan your kids
51:38 birthday party make a stupid invent a
51:42 cake recipe make a picture of a blue
51:45 rubber duck
51:47 on white waterer
51:52 rafting just keep using it by stupid
51:56 [ __ ] like the rabbit just cuz it's cool
52:00 and it didn't cost too much and maybe
52:03 just maybe they will have done something
52:06 better than Apple before Apple did
52:10 it cuz what he talks about the the thing
52:13 that caught my ear with that
52:16 thing was that he said look at all your
52:19 if you watch the beginning of the of
52:21 that keynote which is painful you can
52:23 he's hard to understand and it's not
52:25 very well
52:26 written but he shows like behind him are
52:31 all the home screens of like an iPhone
52:33 an Android phone a you know all the
52:35 different manufacturers of phones and
52:38 you see all these apps and he's like the
52:42 problem with phones is that they're
52:45 they're based on an app
52:48 infrastructure and so if you want to
52:49 book a trip to London you got to go to
52:51 the plane app and then you got to go to
52:53 the hotel app and then you got to go to
52:55 the daily itinerary in London app and
52:58 then you got to go to the this app and
53:00 then you got to go to your your
53:03 honey coupon app to get your discount on
53:06 your thing and then it doesn't work and
53:08 you got 17 Factor authentication and
53:10 then you got to go to Twitter and you
53:12 got to authenticate it through Google
53:13 and and it's just it's it's all these
53:16 apps and you're
53:17 apping and he's like well what if you
53:20 didn't have to do that what if we what
53:22 if we built a large language what if we
53:24 built a thing that was like a large
53:26 language
53:27 model that learned all the apps and
53:31 could do all the [ __ ] on all the apps
53:33 and then you could just talk to
53:35 it and I was like oh that's a good
53:38 point like apple is not
53:41 fundamentally
53:43 questioning their app store right now
53:46 cuz it
53:47 works this crazy little rabbit startup
53:51 is is it going to work probably
53:54 not
53:57 it's probably going to be horrible my
54:00 prediction is
54:02 C+ and and you know the industrial
54:05 design I give a B+ a minus it's pretty
54:08 solid industrial design it's new it's
54:10 fresh it's got a cool scroll wheel it's
54:12 got a walkie-talkie button you push the
54:14 walkie-talkie button and it turns into a
54:17 large language model activator there's
54:19 something slick about
54:22 that you
54:24 know
54:30 wire tap what's a good recipe for
54:34 pancakes what are you you people having
54:38 fullon culinary discussions in the
54:40 comments I like it I support that oh I
54:43 know I'm just listening to what he said
54:44 about the push button man you funny
54:46 tonight thank
54:49 you all products are listening amelo
54:52 just called how does he not know that
54:54 I'm busy at this hour
54:59 amelo you've told him you have a job
55:05 right there's I there there's there's
55:08 some therapy there's some therapy in the
55:10 works you do you two got to get some
55:13 things worked
55:16 out oh he'll be selling keto gummies
55:20 what was that what was that he'll be
55:22 selling keto gummies on Shark Tank next
55:24 week
55:29 oh man I told him good good you got to
55:33 keep him in line buy the rabbit strip it
55:35 rip it reverse engineer it best $200
55:38 ever I I that's what I said like even if
55:41 that thing here's my my full-on
55:43 expectation is that my experience with
55:46 the rabbit is essentially identical to
55:49 my experience with Google Glass which is
55:52 I get it I take it out it's got enough
55:55 battery re charge in it then I can push
55:57 the button twice and do a a chat GPT
56:00 search I can try to hook up one app to
56:02 it it'll take way longer and be way more
56:05 complicated than I thought I'll get
56:07 pissed off at it and I'll set it on my
56:10 shelf and I won't use it again for 3
56:12 years and then like 3 or four years from
56:14 now when we realize oh that was the very
56:17 first one of this whole new kind of
56:19 computer I'll have
56:23 one or I'll do what I did with my Google
56:27 Glass I'll sell it to some sucker down
56:29 the street because it's now a
56:30 collector's item cuz they only sold 17
56:32 of
56:37 them it'll have resale value yeah 200
56:40 bucks it's got a screen it's got Wi-Fi
56:44 it's got interface it's got a camera I
56:47 mean I assume it's running open source
56:50 kind of crap it's probably not
56:51 proprietary Hardware so yeah someone
56:54 will buy that and hack the [ __ ] out of
56:55 it and make it
56:59 cool it could actually be actually you
57:01 know what that device could be is if you
57:04 turn
57:06 it if you turn it sideways and use the
57:10 scroll wheel as a steering wheel you
57:13 could run racing games on it and that
57:15 could be my new sim
57:21 racer uh Apple Vision Pro I'm a 3500 $1
57:25 sucker you go Chris love it sorry not
57:28 sorry listen I just if I had a spare
57:30 3500 sitting around I would absolutely
57:32 buy the the vision Pros um but I don't
57:36 but but it's I I'm I'm I'm really
57:38 intrigued by them I think the vision
57:40 Pros are going to actually going to make
57:41 a
57:42 dent it'll be V it'll be version three
57:45 so that's going to be 18
57:47 months 18 months is 2025 summer will be
57:54 V2 and then they'll probably accelerate
58:00 V3 no no it'll probably be summer of
58:03 2026 Vision Pros will be will be ready
58:07 for prime time I
58:11 [Laughter]
58:16 think I have a rabbit it was featured on
58:19 an episode of Sex in the
58:21 City confir sorry hate to break it to
58:24 you very different rabbit yours may have
58:26 a scroll wheel but but I don't think it
58:28 has a screen on it from from what I've
58:33 heard donated to the
58:37 Smithsonian that's honestly a solid
58:39 investment plan for 200 bucks
58:44 exactly oh man really only 17 Google
58:48 Glasses oh no I was talking about the
58:50 rabbit no I think they sold, 1500 Google
58:54 glasses
58:56 um the the software for Google Glass was
58:59 just horrible it's it's one of the
59:00 things that Google just misses is the is
59:04 the human factor
59:05 stuff they just they just miss it it's
59:08 just it's like technologically it's like
59:10 well you know from a technical
59:11 perspective it it it's got the refresh
59:13 rate it's uh it's 60 it's 64.2 six Hertz
59:18 which uh We've discovered that uh 60 HZ
59:20 is uh not actually out of sync with a
59:23 human retinal refresh rate so so we
59:26 discovered that
59:27 64.2 Hertz is is actually the optimal
59:30 and then meanwhile like the software
59:35 sucks yeah it's like you got to look at
59:38 the whole picture when you're making
59:42 [ __ ] like the rabbit people they made a
59:45 cute little rabbit and he
59:48 dances it's cute is anyone still talking
59:52 about that wearable AI projector the the
59:54 PIN from Humane no no one's talking
59:57 about that cuz I I think the rabbit's
59:59 cuter and it's like the rabbit feels
1:00:01 like a transition device to me the pin
1:00:04 feels like something 5 to 10 years from
1:00:08 now and also the pin is
1:00:10 $700 and it requires I don't know some
1:00:13 sort of
1:00:15 subscription so the the the pin they're
1:00:18 expecting you to replace your phone with
1:00:21 a thing that doesn't have apps it's not
1:00:23 always going to get your voice right
1:00:25 it's bad it's it's just it's just not
1:00:30 it's weird the rabbit thing is like a
1:00:32 toy like they literally designed it like
1:00:34 a toy where it's like I could see having
1:00:37 a phone in my pocket and that rabbit toy
1:00:40 thing in my
1:00:42 hand and just playing with the rabbit
1:00:45 toy thing cuz it's more
1:00:48 fun and if it controls my phone apps on
1:00:51 my phone what the [ __ ] do I care so
1:00:55 and it's only 200
1:01:00 bucks will it be janky it will
1:01:02 absolutely be janky the pin is basically
1:01:05 a dumb
1:01:06 GoPro it's a dumb GoPro proo with a with
1:01:09 a laser screen whoa forever hooked that
1:01:13 was cool that was super cool you also
1:01:16 reached level 29 very impressive level
1:01:19 33 is is is but a flying rabbit away
1:01:22 that thing was that was [ __ ] awesome
1:01:25 never seen the flying rabbit
1:01:29 before all right let's
1:01:36 [Music]
1:01:44 see I want my free Telly with
1:01:48 ch I'm working on adding AI to racing
1:01:52 drones let's ruin the world together
1:01:55 Chris that would be so cool how how how
1:01:58 close are you to that
1:02:01 Chris you sound you sound good and geeky
1:02:04 it might be worth having you come talk
1:02:06 to the AI Salon D DM me if you're if
1:02:09 you've got stuff you want to you want to
1:02:11 talk about um if you think the AI Salon
1:02:15 people would
1:02:16 dig I'm working on adding AI to racing
1:02:21 drones that would be super cool because
1:02:24 the racing drone
1:02:25 are so impressive but it's like I don't
1:02:28 know how those guys think that fast
1:02:29 those drones go too fast for me to even
1:02:31 comprehend what they're doing and
1:02:32 they're
1:02:33 navigating while they're flying those
1:02:35 things so I think adding AI to those
1:02:37 would be cool cuz then you could allow
1:02:39 real human beings to do that racing [ __ ]
1:02:42 and not be you know feel like such
1:02:45 idiots I I think there's always good
1:02:48 business in making people that feel like
1:02:51 idiots feel less like idiots with
1:02:53 technology that feels like a good
1:02:56 business to me joker I'm into drones oh
1:02:59 nowhere near okay still sounds cool um
1:03:05 when is the GP store opening uh I called
1:03:07 Sam Alman tonight he um he was having
1:03:11 meatballs apparently and uh wasn't
1:03:13 available for a
1:03:15 chat but uh he did promise he would
1:03:18 return my call sometime in the next
1:03:20 decade so uh I I either Sam will call me
1:03:26 back and tell me when the GPT store is
1:03:28 coming or it will have launched by the
1:03:30 time he calls me back one of those two
1:03:33 things are
1:03:34 true um sometime this week oh let me oh
1:03:37 I can't show you cuz I can't get into my
1:03:39 stupid [ __ ] X maybe I can do it on my
1:03:43 uh what's it called
1:03:46 iPad can I get in here or do I need to
1:03:48 do my triple Factor authentication oh no
1:03:50 I can get in wait can I yes I'm in yay
1:03:56 okay what okay that's the right
1:04:00 account let's go open
1:04:15 AI nope that's not right let's go GPT
1:04:18 store GPT
1:04:23 store
1:04:27 is the GPT
1:04:31 store it says gpts and it's got those
1:04:36 things at the top
1:04:39 um this is basically like the PO explore
1:04:44 page oh which by the way po quar raised
1:04:48 $75 million today from andrees and
1:04:53 Horowitz
1:04:55 um this could easily be a Photoshop
1:04:58 mockup of it though like what I don't
1:05:01 see there at all
1:05:03 is
1:05:10 um I don't
1:05:17 see I don't see anything about pricing
1:05:20 subscriptions any of that [ __ ] now this
1:05:22 could just be the page you go to
1:05:25 when you've paid all your [ __ ]
1:05:29 but that's feeling like a photo
1:05:33 slop a photos slop version of the store
1:05:37 leaked images of the chat of the GPT
1:05:40 store by chat GPT courtesy of
1:05:44 imrat wait what's that
1:05:50 say yeah look wait what's that
1:05:55 look I just saw
1:05:57 me
1:05:59 hey that I wish I could quit
1:06:02 [Laughter]
1:06:04 [Music]
1:06:07 you this is the brokeback learning
1:06:11 [Laughter]
1:06:15 lab Kyle I found your Sin City sipper in
1:06:18 there today where'd you find it in
1:06:21 where I had one lose a prop and crash I
1:06:24 just knew I killed a
1:06:28 kid I found your sens City sipper in
1:06:30 there today GPT
1:06:33 store. what's GPT store. a that can't be
1:06:37 it
1:06:44 no
1:06:53 GP GP PT store. a oh this is
1:06:57 that this is that this is like an
1:06:59 Indonesian directory site but my let's
1:07:03 see Sin City sipper
1:07:05 Sin City let's see if it's by me or if
1:07:08 somebody stole my thing
1:07:12 sipper Vegas bartender with a Twist on
1:07:15 the classics well it's certainly my
1:07:21 name tricin City sipper
1:07:25 that's
1:07:27 mine that's
1:07:29 cool nice I like it Colorado
1:07:34 Cowboy listen you Colorado Cowboy you're
1:07:37 looking tasty in them
1:07:40 [Laughter]
1:07:45 chaps oh
1:07:51 man I linked that MN water water
1:07:57 cooler what did you link the the GPT
1:07:59 store.
1:08:01 a open AI brand guidelines says that's a
1:08:04 no no GPT anything on your
1:08:09 product yeah you know what are you going
1:08:11 to
1:08:11 do any day now I guess is the answer for
1:08:15 the GPT store my guess is probably
1:08:18 tomorrow they're not g I don't think
1:08:20 they'll do it on Thursday or
1:08:23 Friday it's just a dumb time to launch a
1:08:26 product
1:08:27 unless they're worried about traffic in
1:08:30 which case they'd launch it on a Friday
1:08:33 kind of like they do a news dump on a
1:08:34 Friday so they don't get as much
1:08:36 traction I don't
1:08:39 know I kind of thought it might come out
1:08:41 today and then
1:08:44 seeing lordy seeing some screenshots uh
1:08:48 you know seeing that one screenshot of
1:08:50 of what looked like it could be the
1:08:52 store that it just looks that's doesn't
1:08:54 look right to me I think it's going to
1:08:56 be different than that it's I don't
1:08:58 think it's just going to be a directory
1:09:01 but their their um their plug-in store
1:09:05 was just a directory so it's it's very
1:09:08 possible that it it will disappoint
1:09:12 us and confirm confirm that we're in the
1:09:15 janky pieces of [ __ ] era of
1:09:18 [Laughter]
1:09:21 AI
1:09:23 uh if only you had a rabbit to do these
1:09:25 things for you
1:09:28 exactly all right now rabbit interacting
1:09:31 with GP store is something crazy to
1:09:34 imagine man why am I so tired
1:09:42 people they're prepping their servers
1:09:45 it's going to be a Title Wave yeah we'll
1:09:48 see I mean the the the thing that the
1:09:52 thing that flies in the face of that
1:09:55 Chris
1:09:57 is um the stats on gp4 subscriptions are
1:10:02 really unimpressive they've got 180
1:10:05 million users they have 100 million
1:10:09 active weekly
1:10:11 users and they have 250 to
1:10:18 500,000 GPT
1:10:20 subscribers so that's GPT Plus
1:10:24 that seems that seems really low to
1:10:29 me and if the only people that can play
1:10:31 with gpts are GPT for subscribers then I
1:10:35 don't think their servers are going to
1:10:37 get
1:10:39 run now if they launch the GPT store and
1:10:43 non GPT 4 people can use gpts in the GPT
1:10:48 store and then you upgrade to be able to
1:10:50 make your own well then that's a
1:10:52 different story so we'll see we'll see
1:10:57 we will see we will see our teacher pal
1:10:59 made a death metal soono song yeah he
1:11:01 did with his class about a duck in a
1:11:03 lemonade stand totes rocked I know I
1:11:05 know I saw that today Mr K are you in
1:11:08 here um yeah he he he made a death metal
1:11:12 song with his middle
1:11:15 schoolers it's awesome at some point
1:11:18 someone someone from the school district
1:11:20 is going to be like yes uh uh Matt we're
1:11:23 going to need have a little conversation
1:11:25 here uh I don't know what could you
1:11:28 could you explain this death metal ducky
1:11:30 what what exactly is the Quack The quack
1:11:34 metal duck metal I don't what people
1:11:37 seem to be very
1:11:44 upset what are you teaching our children
1:11:47 Sir Sir Mr K could you please step into
1:11:50 the hallway uh we've got a lot to
1:11:53 discuss
1:11:58 death metal we we prefer unived metal
1:12:01 yes yes unived metallic surfaces metal
1:12:06 implies it's been forged which uses heat
1:12:09 uh which uh some people see as
1:12:10 aggressive so if we could use the unived
1:12:14 metallic surfaces uh rather than the
1:12:17 phrase that you chose to use uh with
1:12:20 your CL I understand that a student
1:12:23 suggested it's it's just we as faculty
1:12:27 should should frown
1:12:29 upon uh using terminology that that that
1:12:32 may upset the uh the uh the kitten in
1:12:36 there there are kittens in some some
1:12:38 classrooms that the support kittens yes
1:12:41 yes yes yes and uh very sensitive
1:12:43 they're they're very sensitive yes yes
1:12:46 anen
1:12:52 okay
1:12:56 thank you I on China I appreciate the
1:12:58 Roses what wait I put my trip itinerary
1:13:01 and gp4 gp4 told me it can't make
1:13:05 purchases or make financial decisions
1:13:07 exactly this is the this is the thing
1:13:10 that that little rabbit device can do
1:13:12 that's what he's talking
1:13:15 about
1:13:16 but make no
1:13:19 mistake um chat GPT is going to be
1:13:22 taking action soon too like you can
1:13:26 already sort of do it with gpts right
1:13:28 now if you're willing to learn how to
1:13:30 how to incorporate an API into your
1:13:34 [Music]
1:13:36 GPT you are making money and you didn't
1:13:38 even know it open AI brand guidelines
1:13:42 GPT anything on your
1:13:45 product Oh man all 16 are in there could
1:13:50 Kyle be a cocacola Colorado cowboy oh
1:13:55 God Friday makes more
1:13:58 sense oh waiting until after CES that's
1:14:01 actually really interesting when is CES
1:14:05 over um CES
1:14:10 dates to the 12th so today's the 9th
1:14:13 10th 11th so
1:14:15 Friday Friday CES is
1:14:22 over
1:14:24 open AI wouldn't make an announcement at
1:14:27 CES would
1:14:29 they it's well it's certainly not a
1:14:32 consumer electronic
1:14:37 device yeah that's
1:14:45 interesting let's do
1:14:48 um open
1:14:51 AI CES
1:14:55 2024
1:15:10 rumor
1:15:12 no AI to dominate this year's CES even
1:15:16 without open AI Alman on stage so he's
1:15:19 they're not going to be
1:15:21 there but that's interesting that they
1:15:23 would wait until
1:15:25 after I I can't imagine that they would
1:15:28 launch the GPT store on a
1:15:31 Saturday they might do it Friday
1:15:34 afternoon it just seems
1:15:43 stupid unless he's making a surprise
1:15:46 maybe Sammy boy is making a surprise on
1:15:48 stage at
1:15:52 CES maybe all maybe all Microsoft's got
1:15:55 something cooked up their sleeve and
1:15:56 like they surprise
1:15:59 brought um the CEO of Microsoft on the
1:16:02 open AI Dev day
1:16:04 maybe I don't know it doesn't
1:16:11 matter would you need a subscription to
1:16:13 use public gpts as of today
1:16:17 yes um as of the GPT store we don't know
1:16:22 it's on on my wish list there's two
1:16:25 things on my wish list for the GPT store
1:16:28 and I don't think I'm going to get
1:16:30 either of them one thing
1:16:33 is um that you can copy the embed code
1:16:37 of a GPT and you can easily embed your
1:16:41 gpts into a
1:16:42 website
1:16:44 um and the other one is that non GPT 4
1:16:49 subscribers can use gpts if they use
1:16:52 them in the GPT store like in a
1:16:54 container I don't think either of those
1:16:56 are going to happen but that's those are
1:16:58 my
1:17:03 wishes so what do you plan to
1:17:08 sell what was
1:17:13 that how do I get so far
1:17:22 behind
1:17:28 I love the comedy AI lab my favorite
1:17:30 show on Tik Tok thank you Cosmic Clover
1:17:34 7 I I wouldn't exactly call this
1:17:40 comedy this maybe idiocracy this is uh
1:17:45 this is this is uh this is dum dum mc mc
1:17:49 engineer H dum dum MC engineer how can I
1:17:52 help you yeah listen listen how do you
1:17:55 hey hey Marge Marge listen hey I was
1:17:59 trying to figure out how you get on The
1:18:01 Tick Tock
1:18:03 what it's already
1:18:06 on how do I know I just see my face well
1:18:10 sort of you think I need new
1:18:12 glasses honey honey honey honey are you
1:18:17 watch you're watching the wheel you're
1:18:19 watching the wheel yeah it's a good I
1:18:21 like that show that's a good show
1:18:23 anyway how do I know the Tik tok's on H
1:18:32 what they're saying I look
1:18:35 funny then it's
1:18:38 on
1:18:39 oh hey
1:18:44 everybody all right Kyle did you get
1:18:46 your ticket from Sam yet for the GPT
1:18:49 store and failing front row seat you
1:18:51 know forever hooked it's funny you
1:18:53 should ask that um I got a uh I I have a
1:18:57 uh a fax notification from open AI I'm
1:19:01 pretty sure I just got a hit print on my
1:19:04 fax machine I'm pretty sure that
1:19:06 invitation is coming through coming
1:19:08 through the fax machine so I'm I'm
1:19:10 pretty sure that I do thank you for
1:19:12 asking yeah Sam uh Sam and I have
1:19:15 patched things up I don't think Sam's as
1:19:17 jealous of me as he used to be I'm
1:19:19 pretty sure uh I'm pretty sure he and I
1:19:22 have patched things up pretty good
1:19:28 now F
1:19:33 notification oh that would be awesome
1:19:35 wouldn't it I have that dream
1:19:38 too have a dream it's
1:19:41 like the fax machine just woke
1:19:45 up incoming facts from open AI from San
1:19:49 Francisco
1:19:52 415
1:19:54 remember fact spam machine oh I sure
1:20:01 do I want the Samsung Bali robot I need
1:20:05 the $1,000 first do you still have a fax
1:20:09 machine I do
1:20:11 not I but I do still have I got rocket
1:20:14 money and looked at some of the
1:20:15 subscriptions that I have I have a
1:20:18 subscription for j2's fact service that
1:20:21 I I I I signed up for the subscriptions
1:20:24 that I have I have a subscription for
1:20:27 j2's fact service that I I I I signed up
1:20:31 for CU I make good life
1:20:34 [Laughter]
1:20:38 decisions oh man let's see
1:20:42 Samsung
1:20:44 Bal oh that's
1:20:49 cute jacine Jake and little Jas
1:20:54 born in
1:20:55 Denver as usual at CES Samsung has a ton
1:20:59 of stuff to show off in their booth on
1:21:00 the show floor but the most interesting
1:21:02 thing this year is probably Bali Samsung
1:21:05 first showed off
1:21:06 Bali but it's this year is a much larger
1:21:09 bowling ball size smart home robot
1:21:11 assistant that was bowling ball SI that
1:21:13 has a built-in projector so when you ask
1:21:15 it to do things or help you on the house
1:21:17 it can give you visuals as well as just
1:21:19 talk to
1:21:22 you
1:21:24 in a demo at Samsung's Booth Bali was
1:21:26 shown off helping someone around the
1:21:28 house with things like doing a workout
1:21:30 so when the guy started doing his
1:21:31 workout it would project the exercises
1:21:33 onto the wall behind him and then when
1:21:34 he laid down his back to do some
1:21:36 exercises where he was staring straight
1:21:37 up instead of at the wall Bali could
1:21:39 project the workout onto the roof that's
1:21:42 pretty slick I've I've often thought
1:21:43 about that he asked B to show him what
1:21:45 his day was like so Bali rolled over to
1:21:47 a wall played up his calendar there and
1:21:49 reminded him it was his wedding
1:21:50 anniversary bowling ball flowers of
1:21:53 course Bal can place a call of the
1:21:54 florist and you know get that set as
1:21:56 well in the kitchen he asked B to show
1:21:59 him some videos and some recipes so it
1:22:01 rolled into the kitchen with him stuck
1:22:03 that up on the wall and it also gave him
1:22:04 a view of what's inside of the oven as
1:22:06 the Samsung oven often has cameras in it
1:22:08 so you can see what you're cooking
1:22:10 finally the doorbell rang and the camera
1:22:12 switched over to show him what was on
1:22:13 the doorbell camera so he could see who
1:22:14 was dropping off his flowers generally
1:22:17 speaking a good way to think about Bali
1:22:18 is that it's kind of like a home hub
1:22:20 like the nest Hub where it shows
1:22:22 information from your smart home devices
1:22:24 and other connected things in your house
1:22:26 but with the additional ability to roll
1:22:28 around follow you around talk to you and
1:22:30 project images or details wherever you
1:22:32 are and since B can connect anyone else
1:22:34 want to just knock that thing down the
1:22:36 stairs like a slinky I see I don't think
1:22:39 that thing would last long in my house I
1:22:41 just want to [ __ ] with it so like
1:22:42 basically any smart home device you
1:22:49 have that ball will have an allout fight
1:22:52 with your puppy and room but oh
1:22:55 champy like like he does not like uh
1:22:58 vacuum cleaner nozzles he he he will go
1:23:00 after that [ __ ] I'm like dude you're
1:23:02 gonna get your lungs sucked out one day
1:23:04 he doesn't care he's
1:23:06 [Laughter]
1:23:09 like oh man all right well that's cool
1:23:14 that's cool that's
1:23:19 cool if you haven't joined the AI salon
1:23:23 go there and check it
1:23:25 out what is it Kyle a salon is that a
1:23:29 place where you get a manicure in a
1:23:31 pedicure I'm already pretty enough Kyle
1:23:34 I don't need to go to your salon I'm not
1:23:36 here for I'm not here for beautification
1:23:39 I'm here to learn about
1:23:44 AI there's another kind of
1:23:51 salon
1:23:55 we don't sell
1:23:57 moisturizer
1:23:59 yet
1:24:01 uh j2's fax service retell please okay I
1:24:06 signed up for a fax service five years
1:24:08 ago to send one facts one page where
1:24:11 they accepted facts only and then I
1:24:13 forgot to unsubscribe and I just rocket
1:24:15 money just showed me you're still
1:24:17 subscribed to that thing and I tried to
1:24:19 go unsubscribe to it and I couldn't cuz
1:24:22 it's impossible and I gave up after 45
1:24:25 minutes and I'm like [ __ ] it I'd rather
1:24:27 pay 30 bucks a month or whatever it is
1:24:29 20 bucks a month cuz I'm a dumb Dum um
1:24:33 when they should integrate a tamagachi
1:24:35 into it well tamagachi are going to get
1:24:39 tamagachi are making a comeback I'll
1:24:41 tell you that right now cuz the
1:24:42 tamagachi are going to be able to learn
1:24:45 they're going to be able to talk to you
1:24:47 they're going to be able to tell you
1:24:48 when they're thirsty they're going to be
1:24:49 able to take action they're going to be
1:24:51 able to lock you out of your house if
1:24:52 you you been an [ __ ] parent I mean
1:24:55 you could start having some fun with the
1:24:56 tamagachi
1:24:58 10.0 um I don't want that hey Becky Ru
1:25:02 what's happening good to see
1:25:04 you reminds me of my days at IR robot
1:25:08 testing room with
1:25:10 prototypes yeah they should integrated
1:25:12 tomaki into it oh man you can't be
1:25:16 beautified if you're already gorgeous
1:25:18 exactly some of us are just blessed I I
1:25:20 know Chris I don't one of the things I
1:25:22 try not to do in this channel is is brag
1:25:24 about my looks but it's like it's I'm
1:25:27 looking at the the screen for hours a
1:25:31 night and it's like just some things you
1:25:32 can't deny so right there with you right
1:25:35 there with you buddy or ma'am I don't
1:25:39 Chris is a tough one go either way um
1:25:43 Chris Kyle what are your expectations
1:25:45 regarding your own buildt apps on GPT
1:25:48 store what is going to
1:25:51 sell
1:25:53 well sell sell is an interesting
1:25:56 question so what what I think a lot of
1:26:00 people are assuming is that you're going
1:26:01 to buy and sell gpts
1:26:05 like iPhone apps where you actually pay
1:26:08 money per app I don't think that's going
1:26:10 to how it's going to be I think it's
1:26:12 going to be you just use gpts or
1:26:16 not and and the thing I don't want it to
1:26:20 be is probably what it's going to be
1:26:21 which is you have to have a GPT Plus
1:26:24 subscription and if you do you get
1:26:26 access to the GPT store and then it's
1:26:28 just a REV sharing thing based on how
1:26:31 popular the gpts are um and if that's
1:26:36 the
1:26:38 case I don't know I don't know how
1:26:40 you'll be discoverable in the GPT store
1:26:42 I don't know if you pay to have your
1:26:45 [ __ ] there if you're going to have to
1:26:46 Market externally and drive people there
1:26:48 revenue is based on usage per open AI
1:26:51 help
1:26:53 yep so like if people use my Sin City
1:26:57 sipper or my dream analyzer Dream Weaver
1:26:59 like those are those are two um kind of
1:27:02 entertainment
1:27:03 e1s I could see those working
1:27:08 um I don't know I mean I honestly don't
1:27:10 know this is going to be something we're
1:27:12 all going to have to discover I think
1:27:13 lunaticks got the right idea lunaticks
1:27:16 got 80 gpts she's built at this point so
1:27:20 she's just going to go for you know
1:27:22 spray and prey she's got a bunch of
1:27:24 ideas she's going to put them out there
1:27:25 she knowing her she's going to Market
1:27:27 them she's going to get people excited
1:27:29 about them and you know out of 80 she'll
1:27:32 probably have five that catch catch on
1:27:36 somewhat that's that's my guess is what
1:27:38 the the ratio would be is you
1:27:42 know somewhere somewhere in the sub 10%
1:27:45 range so if you put out 15 you might
1:27:47 have one or two that hit and and and hit
1:27:50 I mean like get more than zero
1:27:54 uses cuz I think most gpts are going to
1:27:57 get zero uses we was I I was we was we
1:28:00 was we was on a LinkedIn live last week
1:28:05 and it was a bunch of the people that
1:28:06 participated in the the GPT for good
1:28:09 challenge that M have made a bunch of
1:28:11 gpts and I asked how many people here
1:28:15 have used someone else's GPT more than
1:28:17 once and the answer was no one so I
1:28:21 think I I think people making gpts right
1:28:24 now are excited about making
1:28:26 them if only 250,000 people have gp4
1:28:31 subscriptions not that many people know
1:28:33 that they even
1:28:35 exist so so I don't know I do not know
1:28:38 right
1:28:39 now my guess is open AI is counting on
1:28:42 us to drive new users to chat GPT that's
1:28:44 that's mine too TK and and listen I
1:28:47 don't I don't fault them for that
1:28:49 approach I just think it's going to slow
1:28:51 adoption that's why my hope is that they
1:28:53 had some sort of player that you could
1:28:57 you could play with these but there's I
1:28:59 don't think there's really a
1:29:00 way like the the chat GPT application
1:29:04 itself isn't sophist isn't sophisticated
1:29:07 like that so I I just I don't think
1:29:10 that's going to
1:29:13 happen I got one last night it's in show
1:29:16 until you got what last
1:29:21 night
1:29:23 where is my oh there it is sh tell new
1:29:27 activity there's new activity there
1:29:30 there's the there's the K who did that
1:29:36 Cindy oh that's cute whoever did that
1:29:39 who did that Stacy that's very
1:29:42 cool very nice The Bunny and the doggy
1:29:46 too many gadgets so little time I like
1:29:49 it janky pieces of [ __ ] will forever
1:29:51 change the world it's so
1:29:54 true it's so true
1:29:58 actually oh that's beautiful CLA Jacobs
1:30:01 breaking in here with some actual art
1:30:04 let let let me interrupt the the comedy
1:30:07 stylings of the Irregulars with some
1:30:09 actual art boom that's beautiful by the
1:30:13 way oh that's
1:30:15 nice there's the the uh the bunny with
1:30:19 with the the toggle wheel the I on Bunny
1:30:28 [Laughter]
1:30:32 Green you see this is the kind of Salon
1:30:35 we're
1:30:36 running oh
1:30:49 man the ones I used have hav't worked at
1:30:52 all including my own constant error
1:30:54 messages what your gpts
1:30:57 Barbara
1:31:00 yeah again doesn't mean you shouldn't be
1:31:02 building them and launching them oh man
1:31:05 I use my stream sleuth GPT almost every
1:31:10 day what does the stream sluth do
1:31:20 jenu uh uh uh
1:31:22 uh would be easy to
1:31:27 iframe yeah you could you could iframe
1:31:29 these things but
1:31:31 but but it's just really a
1:31:35 GPT you can sort of navigate out of your
1:31:38 GPT I don't know it's n it's just janky
1:31:41 that's
1:31:43 janky great job you've gone lot live for
1:31:47 90
1:31:48 minutes bad news we took a we took a
1:31:51 rating of the entertainment value of
1:31:53 this channel you're at a
1:32:01 0.7 the comments go back to making
1:32:04 movies in real time it was more
1:32:06 entertaining than whatever this is
1:32:08 [Laughter]
1:32:15 tonight oh my God Spike Jones Kyle
1:32:19 attention monetization how
1:32:23 well you have to have something that
1:32:24 doesn't suck here's here's the thing
1:32:26 that I think is is hard about
1:32:32 gpts
1:32:35 gpts and and chat
1:32:38 GPT have something in
1:32:40 common and it sucks what they have in
1:32:44 common is that it's just an empty
1:32:48 box just waiting for you to do something
1:32:50 and it's like please go on
1:32:52 ask me
1:32:54 anything nobody knows what to [ __ ]
1:32:57 ask the thing even if it's Sin City
1:32:59 sipper Vegas bartender with a Twist what
1:33:03 do you ask it what does that mean what
1:33:05 do you mean it's a Vegas bartend is it
1:33:06 going to actually make drinks is it is
1:33:08 this like a delivery service and you've
1:33:11 got your conversation starter questions
1:33:14 but even those if they're weirded
1:33:16 worded in a way that makes sense to the
1:33:19 end user it doesn't make sense to the
1:33:21 large Lang anguage model so you actually
1:33:23 have to kind of use reverse psychology
1:33:27 on those prompting questions to write
1:33:29 something that sort of Mak sense to an
1:33:31 end user that's not going to confuse the
1:33:33 large language
1:33:35 model why can't a GPT start with an
1:33:42 action like it says to the end user do
1:33:46 this and then it will take over from
1:33:49 there gave an AI demo to a VC today got
1:33:52 hired on the spot for projects we start
1:33:55 Friday Source Camp [ __ ]
1:33:58 yes how cool is
1:34:03 that
1:34:06 okay this happen this has been happening
1:34:08 nightly
1:34:10 now so so
1:34:12 listen Jerky Boys and Girls Who are in
1:34:15 here like I don't know if this AI stuffs
1:34:18 for me it's not perfect it's awful
1:34:24 if you sound like that first of all
1:34:26 that's
1:34:27 annoying second of
1:34:29 all the people who show up here on a
1:34:32 regular basis and have a better attitude
1:34:35 than you good shit's happening to
1:34:40 them Source Camp gave a demo today to a
1:34:45 VC got hired on the spot they start
1:34:50 Friday
1:34:55 lunatick built 80 gpts and some wacky
1:34:58 investor said I'd like to invest in your
1:35:00 gpts
1:35:04 ma'am she doesn't know what that
1:35:07 means I don't know what that means
1:35:10 nobody knows what that means I don't
1:35:12 think that investor knows what that
1:35:13 means
1:35:19 but 2023 was the last normal year if
1:35:22 you're not AI literate and and here's
1:35:25 here's what AI literate means you don't
1:35:26 have to be good at
1:35:29 it I would love
1:35:31 to Rite someone's coattails on some of
1:35:34 these
1:35:35 opportunities so archetypal architect I
1:35:39 it's you can't so first of all join the
1:35:41 AI salon right most of the people that
1:35:44 hang out in here
1:35:46 are active
1:35:50 here and they're incredibly generous and
1:35:54 they're
1:35:56 incredibly
1:35:59 nice and talented and they work
1:36:04 hard so so you can get to them and I
1:36:08 would say rather than writing their
1:36:09 coattails maybe
1:36:10 you saddle saddle on up next to them and
1:36:14 and contribute along with them
1:36:18 um but if you're not AI literate right
1:36:20 now and what AI literate means right
1:36:23 now is are you curious about AI enough
1:36:28 to pay attention to
1:36:29 it are you curious enough about
1:36:32 AI that when you have free time instead
1:36:37 of watching The Wheel of Fortune you're
1:36:39 on Twitter or you're on this stupid
1:36:41 Channel or you're on Rachel Wood's
1:36:43 Channel or you're reading Ethan
1:36:45 mullock's articles or you're watching
1:36:46 David Shapiro's
1:36:48 videos or you're listening to Paul
1:36:50 rater's AI marketing Institute
1:36:55 podcasts that's all it takes right
1:36:59 now and then and there's a second half
1:37:01 of it which is you know start playing
1:37:03 with this stuff and then start talking
1:37:05 about it start telling people what
1:37:08 you're
1:37:13 doing and then [ __ ]
1:37:16 happens I was demoing to a VC I got
1:37:19 hired on the spot we start Frid
1:37:23 [ __ ] far
1:37:25 out did she have a pitch deck maybe she
1:37:28 did I don't
1:37:30 know she's got her [ __ ] together so she
1:37:33 might
1:37:38 have you just got to be in the game
1:37:40 right now just get in the game that's
1:37:42 what this channel is
1:37:46 about okay I just figured out what this
1:37:48 Channel's about if you can tolerate
1:37:51 listening to me for 2 hours a
1:37:53 night you're going to make it in this
1:37:56 business because there's no [ __ ]
1:37:57 reason on Earth that anyone would spend
1:38:00 any time here but what's happening is
1:38:02 because people spend time here it keeps
1:38:04 them in the conversation it keeps them
1:38:06 curious it keeps them building they're
1:38:09 like oh there's a 24-hour GPT thing I'll
1:38:11 show up for one of those oh I showed up
1:38:14 for four of those oh [ __ ] I made 10 gpts
1:38:17 oh let me put those on LinkedIn oh [ __ ]
1:38:19 I just got
1:38:20 hired
1:38:25 it like that's it right
1:38:27 now that's it that's it that's the
1:38:31 [ __ ]
1:38:33 secret remember the movie The
1:38:35 Secret you just speak it and it will
1:38:38 manifest in your life well with this AI
1:38:40 [ __ ] it's like just get curious about it
1:38:41 and [ __ ] will manifest in your life are
1:38:44 we jumping into perplexity tonight just
1:38:46 a friendly reminder I would jump into
1:38:48 perplexity except that I don't know how
1:38:50 to use it and I and I haven't done it I
1:38:54 listen listen people you're dealing with
1:38:57 chat add
1:38:58 here something will come along in my
1:39:00 life that will force me to use
1:39:02 perplexity like I don't know what it is
1:39:04 right now but perplexity is on my
1:39:07 ADD
1:39:10 um um resist the
1:39:14 machine part of my personality there's
1:39:17 some things in my life that I'm just
1:39:18 like [ __ ] it I'll never do that
1:39:20 perplexity is one of those right now not
1:39:22 because I don't like it just because it
1:39:24 it ended up in that slot in my brain and
1:39:26 until something breaks that part of my
1:39:28 brain I'm stuck there so so I can say I
1:39:33 can say I'll get good at perplexity all
1:39:34 I want but but evidence is to the
1:39:38 contrary so if someone wants to give me
1:39:41 a project where I have to use perplexity
1:39:44 don't give me that because I'll just
1:39:45 [ __ ] resist it by the
1:39:48 way I usually have po up during these
1:39:51 lives that's cool yeah so so po just got
1:39:54 a $75 million investment So Adam
1:39:56 D'Angelo's got to be happy about that
1:39:59 from andreon Horowitz what happened to
1:40:02 being
1:40:03 curious no being well being curious and
1:40:06 showing up what do you mean what
1:40:08 happened to being curious I was talking
1:40:10 about being curious oh with me with
1:40:13 perplexity no that's not curious here's
1:40:15 the
1:40:16 problem being curious about perplexity
1:40:19 I'd have used it but but now now I know
1:40:22 enough about perplexity that I'm not
1:40:24 curious about it anymore I'm like it's
1:40:26 good for research and then I think in my
1:40:28 brain that poisoned it to say research
1:40:30 is like work and you don't like work so
1:40:33 [ __ ] that so the the problem is I was
1:40:36 curious about it enough to learn enough
1:40:39 about it to know that it feels like work
1:40:41 and then that makes it not fun and then
1:40:43 if it's not fun my brain's like [ __ ]
1:40:49 no who who might who ADHD in the
1:40:53 house who knows this feeling I'll get
1:40:57 there I will get there eventually if you
1:40:59 GPT it they will come sign up for
1:41:03 perplexity pushbot it's got me on the
1:41:06 daily wait sign up for okay so okay
1:41:09 first of all the person that said that
1:41:11 lab five future Cindy
1:41:13 [ __ ] is awesome she's just like a baller
1:41:17 Rockstar woman um sign up for it push
1:41:22 butt so because she said
1:41:24 that none of you other people would have
1:41:27 made the a difference here I wouldn't
1:41:30 even search for that
1:41:32 per uh but Cindy if this is some sort of
1:41:35 17 Factor authentication thing you're
1:41:37 going to be on my poop list you know
1:41:39 that right
1:41:42 perplexity
1:41:45 push bot and if it's not called the
1:41:47 perplexity
1:41:50 pushbot
1:41:52 it's
1:41:53 not see see now I got wait perplexity
1:41:57 bot is that
1:41:59 it perplexity bot we strive to improve
1:42:02 our service every day H doesn't make me
1:42:05 feel good perplexity
1:42:10 Labs see see I knew this was a bad idea
1:42:14 this is this is why we can't have nice
1:42:20 things I'm sorry $ 73.6 million in
1:42:23 funding not 75
1:42:26 million I hallucinate as much as chat
1:42:29 [Laughter]
1:42:34 GPT welcome to the AI learning lab it's
1:42:36 mansplaining is a
1:42:39 service I'll take something I barely
1:42:41 know anything about and talk about it
1:42:43 for two hours how are
1:42:47 you I can't find the pushbot I don't
1:42:49 know what it is maybe s you can send me
1:42:52 a link or something cuz at this point
1:42:54 I'm just
1:42:55 [Laughter]
1:43:06 bitter Kyle I made a career GPT for
1:43:09 generalist creatives ask questions in a
1:43:11 way we can answer oh that's cool that's
1:43:14 awesome it's a virtual human that dies
1:43:17 if it attributes if its attributes reach
1:43:20 zero it's not called that so then where
1:43:23 is it well
1:43:25 so Kyle ask perplexity about the cure
1:43:29 for sickle cell disease what Kim Katan
1:43:32 from Cleveland what are you talking
1:43:34 about you did it what I went and
1:43:37 searched for perplexity yeah but I still
1:43:39 haven't used
1:43:40 it oh good lord you
1:43:44 people it's it's like you've never seen
1:43:46 this channel before I'm sorry I can't
1:43:49 stop the verification
1:43:54 requirements down the rabbit hole need a
1:43:56 rabbit device for that exactly Earth
1:43:59 rocker exactly Kyle ask for you just all
1:44:03 are weird lab five please link it cam
1:44:08 catkin good Lord Kyle a million here a
1:44:11 million there pretty soon you're taking
1:44:13 real
1:44:14 money talking real
1:44:17 money oh Lordy all right now I can't do
1:44:21 anything in chat GPT it's down for
1:44:23 anyone else right now let's go see if
1:44:25 it's
1:44:25 down I'm guessing that's just you but if
1:44:28 it's down that probably means that
1:44:31 they're launching the
1:44:34 store log
1:44:38 [Music]
1:44:44 in we're experiencing exceptionally high
1:44:47 demand please hang tight this is a store
1:44:49 launch this is the store launch this is
1:44:53 the store launch let me go to
1:44:56 explore nope that's still the same let
1:44:59 me go to my
1:45:03 gpts that's still the
1:45:06 same yeah it when when when it starts
1:45:09 crapping the bed like this that
1:45:11 generally means they're taking down
1:45:13 Banks of servers up upgrading
1:45:16 the something the app and relaunching it
1:45:20 so
1:45:22 my guess is that we will see the chat
1:45:25 GPT store Tomorrow based on it being
1:45:28 flaky it's possible there's high demand
1:45:31 but I doubt
1:45:37 it interesting very interesting let's
1:45:41 see
1:45:46 um
1:45:49 make make me an image of chat GPT
1:45:55 servers being
1:45:57 upgraded to launch the GPT
1:46:03 store uh uh uh uh let's see if let's see
1:46:07 how self-aware chat GPT
1:46:09 is let's see if chat GPT needs some
1:46:13 therapy Dr J down for
1:46:16 me let's see if it makes this here
1:46:19 image
1:46:22 people are loading up the GPT store my
1:46:24 guess is it will be tomorrow morning
1:46:26 9:00 a.m. yeah that's exactly what I'm
1:46:27 thinking prompts chat prompts
1:46:31 cart look this is a this is a photograph
1:46:35 of uh of the chat GPT servers I don't
1:46:38 know if you knew that that's not a
1:46:39 that's not a a dolly image that's
1:46:41 actually a
1:46:43 photograph from the I hacked that I'm a
1:46:46 hacker I hacked that from the system so
1:46:49 well I'm not really a hacker it's more
1:46:50 like social Eng engineering so Sam and I
1:46:51 are good friends and then I also hang
1:46:54 out with Greg Brockman we go fishing
1:46:57 sometimes and he likes to play Frisbee
1:46:59 golf which is funny uh because nobody
1:47:01 likes frisbee golf but anyway except in
1:47:03 Colorado but anyway um so Greg and I
1:47:07 were hanging out and I said just like
1:47:10 off-handed as I was throwing a hole in
1:47:12 one with with my uh it's like a 300 yard
1:47:15 uh you know hole in one and uh and I
1:47:18 just said off-handed like what's Sam's
1:47:20 password
1:47:21 and and Greg was like oh it's it's it's
1:47:23 bunny Humper and I thought that was
1:47:26 funny and then I said I said capital B
1:47:30 and he goes capital b capital
1:47:32 H and so I tried it so anyway so I got
1:47:35 into the uh open AI servers and I
1:47:37 downloaded that photo right there so
1:47:39 that's that's them actually upgrading
1:47:42 the uh that's building the GPT store
1:47:44 right now so that's actually a
1:47:45 photograph so I don't know if you knew
1:47:47 that but yeah I don't like to brag
1:47:49 having that kind of accent it's probably
1:47:52 UNC probably UNC to be talking like this
1:47:55 you know it's just it's not right it's
1:47:57 like you know it's like whatever like
1:47:59 hanging out with Ben afflac and and uh
1:48:02 what's his name the the Damon kid um
1:48:06 Matt the Matt Damon kid um I mean sure
1:48:10 like yeah I go to the mall and drink
1:48:13 Orin julius's with those guys like
1:48:16 doesn't everybody and uh so anyway but
1:48:20 uh but Greg a good guy I'll tell you
1:48:21 what you know when he got fir when Sam
1:48:23 got fired and then Greg got fired they
1:48:26 were uh they were whooping it up I they
1:48:29 didn't like working there and then they
1:48:31 were like oh you're back you're back and
1:48:33 both of them were like ah [ __ ] really ah
1:48:36 we thought we were out so anyway they're
1:48:39 good guys they're except Sam's a little
1:48:41 jealous but you know that's why we have
1:48:44 Elon that's why we have Elon all right
1:48:48 all right
1:48:49 people
1:48:52 I'm pretty sure he's fibbing that I None
1:48:56 of what he was talking about seems like
1:48:58 it's very logical at all I do you think
1:49:01 Greg Brockman
1:49:03 plays frisbee
1:49:06 golf I feel like I'm not buying this
1:49:09 actual photo in the water cooler I feel
1:49:12 like I'm not buying this ah you people
1:49:16 are
1:49:19 cute the a Salon very
1:49:25 cute oh I like it I like it I like it I
1:49:30 like
1:49:32 it oh
1:49:36 Lordy is that one happen with too many
1:49:39 Minds in choir GPT store my my it's up
1:49:42 for
1:49:43 me
1:49:45 Kyle hacked
1:49:48 it what do you fish for I mostly fish
1:49:52 for trout I fly fish
1:49:55 although if you've if you've ever fly
1:49:58 fish sight fly fish for
1:50:02 carp that's a wild thing to
1:50:05 do cuz they fight like they're big and
1:50:08 they're fast and they're strong and
1:50:10 they're really hard to catch so Carper
1:50:14 fun to fly fish
1:50:17 for I learned a new trick with building
1:50:19 GPT Suzanne okay listen to this she's
1:50:21 good with this [ __ ] you can ask it to
1:50:26 give it a Google map
1:50:29 link
1:50:31 really just in the in the create in the
1:50:34 create mode Suzanne that's really
1:50:38 interesting
1:50:40 huh my chat GPT phone app works now hit
1:50:45 my cap when will Dolly know how to spell
1:50:49 6 months vitamin C Kyle you can't beat
1:50:52 it Spike Jones Spike Jones is always in
1:50:55 here he's either got a conspiracy theory
1:50:57 going or he's trying to get me healthy
1:50:58 and both of which are entertaining and
1:51:05 appreciated it's like the Illuminati is
1:51:07 out to get you have you taken your
1:51:08 vitamin C today
1:51:15 Kyle oh man y'all are
1:51:19 awesome
1:51:24 grew up on island lakes in Michigan
1:51:28 caught carp and use them for fertilizer
1:51:31 yeah I was pretty rude to carp when I
1:51:33 was a when I was a teen we we did cuz
1:51:36 carp are like tanks you really can't
1:51:38 hurt them
1:51:40 so we we not nice to
1:51:44 them I'm nicer Now That I'm
1:51:48 Older my chat GPT phone app works now
1:51:51 very
1:51:52 good yeah this is they're they're doing
1:51:55 server upgrades that's what's Happening
1:51:56 Here people so I'm thinking GPT store
1:51:59 tomorrow and I wouldn't be surprised if
1:52:02 there were some uh surprise CES showing
1:52:06 where samal one shows up on stage
1:52:08 somewhere got Gunk on my
1:52:11 lips I have a new GPT find wait I have a
1:52:15 new GPT to find wine bars gives an
1:52:17 address and a map link that's very very
1:52:20 cool
1:52:22 Suzanne I listen to you and them Tik
1:52:25 Tock ASMR one after another back and
1:52:30 forth
1:52:33 listen let's go to open AI we're going
1:52:35 to go to Chad gbt now go to chat.
1:52:41 open.com I hate ASMR without passion oh
1:52:46 it I've got what is that thing the ADHD
1:52:50 thing that we [ __ ] have dysphonia
1:52:53 isn't it dysphonia where the sound of
1:52:56 like other people eating cereal makes
1:52:58 you want to smash things including them
1:53:02 I've got that so so I I'm like scrolling
1:53:05 through Tik Tok and one of those ASMR
1:53:07 chicks comes up and I'm like I can't
1:53:10 scroll fast enough it's just
1:53:13 like [ __ ] awful yes I hate them too
1:53:17 it's so bad it's so bad I'm like close
1:53:19 your mouth mouth you disgusting
1:53:22 disgusting

1:53:31 smacking no no the I no I don't want to
1:53:34 hear the the the air tickling your nose
1:53:38 hairs I I'm not interested no
1:53:42 no they're making bank I know I really
1:53:45 should do some more ASMR and and some

1:54:22 Rossy see I have one
1:54:25 fan your

1:55:11 disappointment to all of
1:55:14 you thank you herro geek I appreciate
1:55:19 that
1:55:25 this I I I am feeling
1:55:28 um about as emotionally impactful as I
1:55:32 did the night I tried to make a movie
1:55:35 for real so the clock has started is the
1:55:39 store up and running yet probably I had
1:55:41 fun nice seeing you all nice Cosmic
1:55:44 lover um always enjoy the program well
1:55:47 that's good this is this is one of my
1:55:50 hopes so so one of my comedy Heroes was
1:55:52 David Letterman and when David Letterman
1:55:55 was the funniest to me was when he was
1:56:01 bombing because he just he just knew it
1:56:04 was going shitty and he just scared
1:56:07 himself and and that was [ __ ]
1:56:09 hilarious so I hope I got some of that
1:56:11 going on that when it's not going good
1:56:13 there's at least some comedy to fall
1:56:14 back
1:56:17 on Wow all right AI learning lab is like
