Description
I walk through the key trends and tools in AI during my live session on October 2, 2023. We look at how chatGPT and other large language models are evolving, explore image generation with DALL-E 3, Stable Diffusion and more, and discuss the implications for search, business and society. The pace of change is dizzying, but regulars of my channel know I work hard to make sense of it all for you - with a good dose of humor along the way. 0:04 [Music] 0:29 for 0:32 all right welcome everybody Welcome to 0:35 the AI learning 0:37 lab what is 0:40 shaking getting my little side 0:42 conversation going on there got this 0:47 cool new uh tool that I can't talk about 0:51 that made that image it's not ideogram 0:53 and it's not dolly3 and it makes 4K 0:56 Images Oh Boy and the hair is going 0:58 south already really damn 1:03 what are you GNA 1:05 do Ted looks at like life like the live 1:09 three times in a row did you really do 1:11 that or is that just weirding out is Tik 1:12 Tok weirding 1:16 out oh I think it's just it's just 1:18 noting that you're hitting the hearty 1:20 heart 1:21 button how is everybody welcome welcome 1:26 welcome 1:27 happy Monday night I had no idea what 1:30 day it 1:31 was 1:34 ah um do me a favor go ahead and share 1:37 the uh share the live if you're 1:42 willing we'll get some folks in here I 1:44 on China how do you do what's 1:48 shaking eyeball ey on China seems like 1:51 something we should be able to have fun 1:56 with this image was cool so I created 1:58 this image 2:02 in that new tool and up here was a bunch 2:04 of text in the sky so I went into 2:06 Photoshop generative fill and I made it 2:08 all blue and then I just selected that 2:11 area right there and said cloud and it 2:14 did it 2:15 perfect and then I changed some text out 2:18 so that it looked a little bit more 2:21 right wait here let me show 2:26 you that 2:29 stuff 2:31 and then I added the 2:35 car which sort of looks like a 50s 2:40 car this sort of looks like science 2:44 fiction which is I think that's kind of 2:46 the thing with all these uh these AI 2:49 tools is like everything sort of lives 2:51 in this weird space between reality and 2:53 Science Fiction it's just like all these 2:56 [Laughter] 2:58 tools um so welcome everyone my name is 3:01 Kyle Shannon this the AI learning lab uh 3:04 we'll talk about stuff and nonsense in 3:07 here I'll act 3:08 silly I or not sometimes lately I'm 3:12 oscillating between I act like a 3:14 complete idiot or I act like I got a 3:16 soap box and I'm just pontificating 3:18 about the future of 3:21 AI I I find myself a little insufferable 3:27 lately but but people seem to dig it 3:30 they keep asking me questions that Tee 3:33 me up to just go off on stuff and so so 3:36 listen you can ask anything like what's 3:37 AI or you know you can ask me like 3:41 technical questions which I won't answer 3:43 because I'm I'm not qualified to answer 3:45 them or you can ask me questions like 3:47 why are you even here who are 3:49 you um so yeah that's that um what 3:55 else so I'll walk you through some uh 3:58 how to get started so if you're you're 4:00 brand new to this AI stuff I'll sort of 4:02 start out here we'll do a little primer 4:03 on here's some tools that I think are 4:06 worth your time and uh hey steo what's 4:09 happening Nancy's here what's shaking 4:12 Winston Source Camp saying hello to 4:15 everybody I like that digital Gods good 4:17 day to you sir Tobias out of the hot tub 4:21 into the AI learning 4:25 lab ice Java 4:29 and 4:36 peach peach peach 4:42 Seltzer Diego F FL flam flam what's up 4:47 brother how are you how are you how are 4:50 you how are you I on China's here that's 4:53 tough tough when you're 4:55 stupid 4:56 um what did I do I have that somewhere 5:00 I 5:06 [Music] 5:09 do no that's not 5:13 it I did one of those stupid head 5:18 shots 5:19 [Laughter] 5:23 yeah this is my stupid AI Cowboy head 5:28 shot 5:36 [Laughter] 5:41 yeah I think I might put that up on the 5:48 Internet oh good lord good lordy let's 5:53 go with turtle on a skateboard AI 5:55 learning lab no 5:57 skating all right so hello Irregulars 6:01 what's happening Nancy um so if you have 6:04 any questions about AI pop them in the 6:06 comments below um see if we can get some 6:09 some sharing going here the the numbers 6:12 are slowly creeping up I don't think 6:13 we've smacked the algorithm yet but you 6:16 know what I'll do I'm going to hop over 6:20 to to this little bad boy and we'll dig 6:23 in so if you're new to this generative 6:26 AI stuff if you're if you're questioning 6:29 your life decisions right now and 6:31 wondering why you're watching a 6:33 58-year-old guy on Tik Tok you've come 6:36 to the right place this channel is all 6:39 about questioning your life 6:44 decisions um but if people been telling 6:48 you you got to get into this AI you got 6:50 to do it listen listen listen Mavis 6:54 Mavis have you seen this AI stuff no I 6:58 haven't you you need to to we all need 7:01 to this is coming whether you want it or 7:03 not it's here whether we want it or not 7:05 and it's not going away whether we want 7:07 it to or not and so the first place to 7:10 start is just that top URL there chat. 7:12 open.com that's the official chat jpt 7:16 website it's the first it's the best 7:18 it's going it's in the middle of going 7:20 multimodal right now which doesn't mean 7:22 anything to you it doesn't matter just 7:24 go there and start asking it to do stuff 7:25 have it write you a poem have it write 7:27 you a project plan have it write you a 7:29 recipe uh ask it to create you a 7:32 shopping list with some obscure items in 7:34 it and make recipes out of that it can 7:36 do that um ask it to write you code any 7:40 just go just go go there get the a 7:42 nunery get the a nunery go start playing 7:45 right now um these other four now I I I 7:50 graduated bing up to the adult table 7:53 Bing was at the kids table for for a 7:56 while welld 7:57 deserved um but Bing has has given us 8:00 access to Dolly 3 before open AI did so 8:04 um they have earned a right back at the 8:06 adult 8:07 table all four of these I would say are 8:10 worth your time to at least play with if 8:13 you're going to only choose one do the 8:15 top one but if you're going to if you 8:17 want to start exploring these and which 8:20 things are better than others all four 8:22 of these are worth your time right now 8:24 Bard is the weakest of these three but 8:27 it's not going to be probably within a 8:29 month 8:30 Google's going to release a thing called 8:32 Gemini which is going to make that thing 8:35 really really good so it's worth getting 8:36 your head around it now now they're all 8:38 basically the same if you're if you're 8:40 like but wait I got to learn four pieces 8:42 of software no they're all basically 8:44 just like a Google search box and you 8:46 ask it something and then it responds to 8:49 you and then you can talk to it and tell 8:51 it to give you more and tell it to 8:52 refine it um the thing at the bottom 8:55 prompt. chat will teach you how to talk 8:57 to these things it's a little primer all 8:59 right right so those those are the adult 9:02 table did you get my Instagram Mr 9:04 Shannon sir I did not Clint I I don't 9:07 check my Instagram all that much but I 9:08 will go do that for you can I do that 9:12 here hang on let me go see if I've got 9:13 it 9:15 here on Ye Old 9:19 iPad 9:21 insta gr no I don't have it nah it's 9:24 gonna take too long to set up I I'll 9:26 check it after the after the live okay 9:28 the kids table 9:30 so these three are also worth playing 9:31 with pi um if if you get their IOS app 9:35 in particular um pi. a but if you just 9:38 go to the Apple App Store search for pi 9:41 personal 9:43 assistant it's from a company called 9:45 inflection download that thing make an 9:47 account and there's a little phone icon 9:50 in the search bar hit that little phone 9:52 icon it'll put put it in voice mode and 9:54 you can choose there's six voices you 9:56 can choose from but basically you can 9:58 talk to a a chat GPT like thing that's 10:01 connected to the internet we call it 10:02 chatty 10:03 GPT um chat GPT has also launched that 10:07 but I don't have access to it yet so I'm 10:08 going to ignore it and pretend like 10:10 pretend like I do uh labs. perplexity 10:14 doai is is uh they're hosting meta's 10:17 llama models and then Po got a bunch of 10:19 Bots okay so those are the those are the 10:22 large language models the image you want 10:24 to go make pretty pictures play with 10:26 these 10:28 four H thank you Winston I got my llama 10:32 for the night very very nice I 10:34 appreciate 10:36 that um bing.com create that's the new 10:41 Dolly 3 it is remarkably good although 10:45 it's not as good from a image quality 10:48 standpoint as mid Journey mid journe is 10:51 better in terms of artistry but in terms 10:55 of 10:56 accuracy uh dolly3 bing.com /re is 11:00 really really good it does text if you 11:03 give it 20 things to put in an image it 11:05 will put 20 things in the image it's 11:07 it's really quite remarkable what 11:08 they've figured out how to do with that 11:10 thing ideogram used to be a big deal cuz 11:14 it was the only thing that could do text 11:16 but now dolly3 can and I'm playing with 11:19 something today I can't talk about that 11:22 can make text as well so people are 11:23 figuring the text thing out and then the 11:25 Adobe products 11:27 firefly.com 11:29 photoshop. adobe.com they they now 11:32 Photoshop is on the web uh and 11:34 generative fill is is really good so 11:37 those are the ones for images and then 11:41 for uh moving pictures video video 11:45 translation 3D worlds and voice 11:48 synthesis and animated avatars those 11:51 four in a row Runway ml heyen video 11:54 translate is [ __ ] remarkable Skybox 11:58 blad labs.com is cool um I don't find it 12:02 particularly useful but if you want to 12:03 kind of get a glimpse into the future 12:06 that one's worth looking at and then D- 12:09 ID is pretty good it's kind of like 12:10 Synthesia Sherry Banks thank you for the 12:13 Cru wait what can you not talk 12:18 about there's a lot I can't talk about 12:21 there's just nothing I won't talk 12:24 about go back to the mansplaining as a 12:27 service comment I make about Chad 12:30 gbt that's that's me in a Tik Tok 12:34 Channel 12:37 um all right let's see what else we got 12:40 here um some resources so if you if if 12:45 if I haven't given you enough apps go to 12:49 the top two futur 12:53 pedia.com 12:55 Silver Fox got my GPT upgrade 13:00 hey you make me cry let me see if I got 13:04 mine maybe I got mine I just don't know 13:06 it yet although I was playing with it 13:07 all day and I got nothing I'll even log 13:10 out here let me log out log back in I 13:13 know it's not going to work 13:15 it uh 13:18 uh logging out logging back 13:23 in oh you know what I'm going to try I 13:25 know what I'm going to 13:28 try 13:31 I'm going to try 13:34 a private window I uh no I got nothing I 13:39 got nothing people nothing all you 13:43 people coming in here showing off your 13:45 fancy new features on your chat JP 13:48 T and me sitting here with nothing just 13:52 just I got nothing but a gold button you 13:55 can make money with 13:56 ch with the old version of chat 14:00 maybe okay let me I'm going to go to I'm 14:03 going to make a private window and see 14:06 if chat. openening ey.com let me see if 14:11 doing it in a non- cachy kind of 14:14 window red does 14:17 anything that would be 14:20 interesting come on come on you cute 14:23 little 14:25 thing oh check my device nothing nothing 14:29 I still don't got it still got 14:35 nothing all right okay so those top two 14:38 are just big old directories of 14:41 websites these three gentlemen Ethan mik 14:44 Wharton Professor brilliant his blog one 14:47 useful thing worth every moment David 14:51 Shapiro giant brained guy working on AGI 14:56 really interesting um just [ __ ] 14:59 fascinating and then Paul rer from the 15:01 marketing AI Institute all of them are 15:03 worth paying attention to um I also like 15:05 Rachel Woods here on um Tik Tok she's 15:08 got the AI exchange um I like McKenzie 15:11 Bose who created GPT boss although he 15:13 hasn't been as active lately so he must 15:16 have gotten a job or something like that 15:17 or is just dialing back on a Tik Tock um 15:22 okay this Wednesday so so I got invited 15:26 by another um creator named Ronda 15:30 Phillips uh to create a workshop for her 15:33 creative community so we're calling it 15:35 AI Launchpad it launches um 15:38 Wednesday uh at 5:00 mountain time so 15:41 it's 15:42 7:00 uh Eastern and it's three 2hour 15:47 sessions a week apart so it's October 15:49 4th October 11th and October 15:53 18th and so it starts this Wednesday and 15:57 I worked on the the the deck and the 16:01 exercises all weekend and worked on them 16:04 today I'm really excited about it it's 16:05 going to be it's going to be a good one 16:07 so if you're interested in doing a 16:08 Hands-On Workshop that's that's 16:10 happening Ronda voice.com 16:13 events so that's that thing and then 16:17 there's also the salon. aai so this is 16:20 uh a community I started called the AI 16:22 Salon I've got a uh we got a Discord 16:25 that I kind of check as I'm doing these 16:27 lives we have a 16:29 channel for the folks that are regularly 16:31 in here and 16:34 um we also have bi-weekly meeting so if 16:37 you go to that URL you'll see a a link 16:40 tree there you can learn about the salon 16:43 why we started it what our values are 16:45 and then also there's a link to the 16:47 Meetup and there's a link to the Discord 16:51 so good Lord that's a lot oh and by the 16:54 way if you follow this channel make sure 16:56 you're not following that channel 16:58 because the dude with two L's in front 17:00 of learning is an 17:02 [ __ ] and a scammer and he'll try to 17:05 sell you crypto and he'll try to be your 17:06 best little buddy I won't try to be your 17:09 best little buddy I'm just a guy on Tik 17:12 Tock I won't call you up like hey man 17:15 you want to hear about some cool crypto 17:17 thing that will not be 17:20 me if I'm going to do a pyramid scheme 17:23 I'll call it a pyramid 17:26 scheme anyway uh little public Serv 17:29 announcement dear all right let's get 17:30 this started parted party started is the 17:33 AI Salon this Tuesday or next it is next 17:35 Tuesday we're we've got um the off 17:39 Tuesdays are for the guild leaders so we 17:41 launched 17:42 guilds and the guild leaders meeting is 17:46 tomorrow night so the the salon is a 17:49 week from 17:51 tomorrow all right all right welcome 17:56 welcome to Fantasy Island bye 18:00 zipl no Gen X anyone I know your 18:04 regulars know that reference come on let 18:07 lighten up here 18:08 people all right fantastic Bob let's get 18:12 into the questions who's got a question 18:15 which day of the 18:17 workshop can can can I make the money 18:20 with ch please you can make money with 18:23 ch everyday's moneymaking day with chat 18:27 GPT 18:31 the uh you can make money with Chat gbt 18:33 thing the the reason we have this here 18:36 actually I did a I did a long bit on 18:38 this last night 18:41 um is making money with cat GPT is 18:46 that's not the that's not the way to 18:47 that's not the way to approach this 18:50 that's not the way to approach this so 18:51 we can talk about that if you want to 18:53 talk about how to make money with chat 18:54 wow Winston making a 18:57 rain here at the Bunny Ranch here at the 19:00 Turtle 19:01 Ranch making it rain here at the Turtle 19:04 Ranch please take a look at wade. video 19:07 I really like it an a palm Wade wade. 19:11 video wade. videoo okay is this some 19:16 dude named Wade that made a 19:20 video. video I swear if you give me some 19:24 malware I'm on a Mac so you probably 19:26 can't uh wade. video does not go to 19:32 the to the place you sure that's the 19:35 right URL is it wade. video.com 19:39 no 19:43 um there's Wade Morgan 19:47 Wade wade. video free online editor did 19:51 I type it wrong oh it may maybe it 19:54 needed www or something um 20:04 all right so it's an online online video 20:07 editor 20:18 okay yeah I mean it's I the the my 20:21 challenge with video editors is that not 20:23 everyone wants to be a video editor in 20:25 fact my my company so my background is 20:27 I'm a I'm an Entre I'm the co-founder 20:29 and CEO of a company called storyvine 20:32 which is automated video editing which 20:34 this is this has got elements that look 20:36 like they're their oh this is wave video 20:38 this is not Wade video oh wave video 20:41 okay it was wave video okay cool um yeah 20:44 it looks like um I think we're really 20:48 quickly going to come into a world where 20:52 this kind of editing is is going to be 20:54 there's going to be a layer sitting on 20:56 top of it um slow and St study RNs the 20:59 way wins the race we are turtles not 21:01 bunnies I never thought about that 21:03 that's pretty good no this the the whole 21:07 Turtle the turtle as mascot for the AI 21:09 learning lab came came from a very 21:13 different kind of 21:17 turtle here we'll let you in on the 21:19 inside joke why we always talk about 21:20 turtles 21:22 here uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh 21:28 uh uh uh uh uh 21:32 uh with my friend the zombie Jonathan 21:35 you're looking good Jonathan just got an 21:37 awesome face paint job what do you think 21:39 I like turtles all right you're great 21:42 zombie and good times here at the 21:45 waterfront Village open for the next 11 21:47 days the camera cameraman gets off him 21:50 really quick she's trying to hold it 21:53 together oh it's the best I like 21:57 turtles so that's why we have Turtles 22:00 cuz we like turtles I wrote AI code in 22:02 the 1990s using Clipper language I 22:05 remember that wow that's crazy yeah this 22:08 is you know it's one of the things and I 22:11 would I would imagine that at this point 22:12 if you've been working in machine 22:14 learning for that long or even even 22:17 tangentially you know there's a lot of 22:19 people I know that have been in the in 22:20 the AI and machine learning business for 22:23 a long time you know 10 years 15 years 22:26 20 years and some of them are little 22:28 bitter they're like we we've been 22:30 talking about how cool this [ __ ] is for 22:33 decades and now you all show up with 22:36 your chat GPT and you think this is 22:37 [ __ ] cool yeah 22:40 yeah you can make money with ch 22:44 GP the era the the Baton has been passed 22:48 to the rest of us and that's kind of 22:50 what this channel is about is kind of 22:52 post the inflection point of November 22:56 30th 2022 the launch of chat GPT really 23:00 did you know Mark an inflection point 23:04 where before that you kind of had to be 23:06 a geek and an engineer and a 23:07 mathematician and after that it's like 23:09 hey how are we going to use this stuff 23:11 in our businesses right God we are such 23:13 dorks we really are it's so true yeah I 23:16 know but you're here so we're we're 23:20 dorks 23:22 together 23:25 um anyway yeah so that's that's what's 23:27 going on here 23:28 so welcome everybody welcome welcome 23:30 welcome welcome um let's see anything 23:34 going on there nothing going on 23:44 there yeah interesting 23:47 H oh cool all 23:50 right not dorks just 23:53 Irregulars we are Irregulars did you see 23:56 that thing there's a book called The 23:57 Irregulars about about a bunch of 23:58 musical theater people um and it's it's 24:02 a really funny interview with someone 24:03 that knows about the book and a lot of 24:05 the stories in it and they're like this 24:06 should be a movie so it's pretty good 24:09 Silver Fox thank you thank you very much 24:12 all right let's get to some questions 24:14 who's asking questions who wants to know 24:16 about something who wants to talk about 24:18 something we can talk about anything I 24:19 can show you [ __ ] we can talk about [ __ ] 24:22 I don't care whatever you want to do 24:24 whatever you want to do people we can do 24:26 it we can do it 24:32 did a LinkedIn live today and demoed a 24:34 conversation where did that go oh with 24:38 pi AI today I did a uh I was talking to 24:41 someone who's got a um tella Health 24:45 thing for people managing diabetes and I 24:48 said oh you got to play with pi and so I 24:50 made him download pi and they started 24:53 talking to it and I asked I asked Pie 24:56 about their company cuz a six-year-old 24:58 company so I figured it knew it and it 25:00 knew their company and it gave their 25:02 whole Spiel they were like they they had 25:05 their Kevin McAllister moments it's one 25:07 of my favorite things in the world is 25:08 giving giving people their Kevin 25:10 mallister moments um I really want to 25:12 learn it from my real estate wholesale 25:14 business for lead gen so so lead gen um 25:20 is going to require you to to probably 25:23 have connection to the internet but you 25:25 could also use um Advanced Data analysis 25:30 with chat GPT so let me let me quick you 25:32 quickly show you the the uh the data 25:35 analysis stuff but I'll show you I'll 25:39 show you something that you can do with 25:41 it that I think is worth 25:43 exploring 25:45 um so I'm going to flip to Advanced Data 25:47 analysis and chat gbt so so this is chat 25:50 gbt if you haven't seen it before the 25:52 plus here basically means I'm shelling 25:55 out 20 bucks a month for this it should 25:57 give me access to the new features but 25:59 it hasn't because as everyone here knows 26:02 Sam alman's really jealous of me and he 26:04 won't he won't give it to me cuz he's 26:05 just he's holding out because he's just 26:08 it's a jealousy thing I I don't mind 26:10 he's the fact that he's a bit small man 26:13 it doesn't it like it's fine it's fine I 26:16 really do respect him 26:19 um I don't know Sam mman by the way in 26:22 case that wasn't patently obvious but I 26:24 am such a good actor I might have fooled 26:26 a few of you um oh that's Al my version 26:28 of Comedy is is things that aren't funny 26:33 uh so to get Advanced Data analysis you 26:36 pay your 20 bucks a month and then you 26:37 actually have to enable this in your 26:39 settings there's a thing called beta 26:40 features you have to turn on but anyway 26:43 what this does is it it it puts this 26:45 little plus button here and that means 26:47 you can upload a file so I think the 26:50 last time I did this we 26:55 grabbed um crap one was com consumer 26:59 complaints I think one was real estate 27:02 data let me grab archive 11 but this is 27:04 so so what I've got here is um a zip 27:08 file that contains some CSV file so what 27:11 I'm going to 27:16 do open this ZIP file and examine the 27:20 CSV inside and tell me what it is and 27:24 what might be interesting about the 27:27 data 27:31 so what Advanced Data analysis does 27:35 is it creates a container which is just 27:38 a computer term for for it's it's kind 27:41 of running inside your 27:43 browser um or it might be running in the 27:46 cloud it doesn't matter but it's it's 27:47 kind of running like a little instance 27:49 of a computer where it can run it can 27:52 write and execute its own code so I told 27:56 it to unzip that file and and if you 27:58 look at this little white box here you 27:59 can expand this and it Imports some 28:03 libraries and then um writes its own 28:06 python code executes it and then goes 28:10 and looks at the CSV 28:12 file and you know it's writing more code 28:16 for that oh this is the consumer 28:17 complaints one 28:20 um so it's going and looking at what's 28:23 what's in the 28:26 file 28:33 so this is consumer complaints all right 28:36 let me see I'm going to do a new chat 28:38 here and I'm going to grab archive 12 28:41 because I think that one might be real 28:43 estate 28:45 data but but the the point I'm I'm 28:47 getting at here is if you've got data of 28:51 either houses on the market or 28:54 prospective customers or you said you're 28:56 wholesaling like I don't quite know know 28:58 what data you've got but if you you get 29:01 your hands on 29:02 data then you can do what I'm doing 29:06 here open this up and tell me what's in 29:10 the CSV files inside the 29:14 zip and then you can just start asking 29:16 it to analyze the data so so 29:18 particularly if you know real estate and 29:21 you know that whatever the the rental 29:24 rate divided by the you know last s 29:28 Thing by the interest rate gives 29:30 you whatever you can just tell it to go 29:33 find you all the properties that you 29:35 know look positive you know from a cash 29:38 flow standpoint based on whatever 29:39 criteria you tell it and it it will 29:42 analyze the data for the most part and 29:44 go do that it will clean up data if the 29:46 data is not clean um you can have it 29:49 export its own 29:52 um uh you can you can have it create and 29:55 export new new files so you can have it 29:57 clean clean up all the data reorganize 29:59 it and Export that as a new file like a 30:01 new Excel file or CSV file yeah this is 30:05 realtor data.zip 30:09 so now it's going to yeah now it's 30:11 looking at what's in there so it 30:16 says the status of the property number 30:19 of bedrooms bath acre 30:26 lot so we haven't even done anything yet 30:29 and this is remarkable is it not I mean 30:33 just within chat GPT go open that zip 30:36 file and read what's in the CSV and tell 30:38 me about it would you like more 30:40 information on it or specific analysis 30:42 so yeah I'm going to 30:44 say what what did that person say he was 30:47 a wholesale real estate person so I 30:50 don't know what the hell that 30:51 means I have a friend who's in wholesale 30:55 real estate and he has asked me if I 30:58 could figure out how to analyze which 31:01 properties are the best ones to invest 31:03 in period is there data within here that 31:08 can help you oops that 31:12 can help you analyze that data and make 31:16 recommendations of properties my friend 31:18 should 31:19 buy all right let's see what it 31:22 says certainly I still here it looked 31:26 like Tik Tok just glitched bad can you 31:30 still hear 31:31 me 31:32 [Music] 31:35 hello um tap the tap the screen if you 31:38 can still hear me am I here am I 31:44 here all right I'm getting some hearty 31:47 Hearts I guess I'm still 31:50 here 31:52 um well but what I was saying 31:56 is I know nothing about this kind of 31:59 real estate investing and so not only 32:01 can it do the analysis of this file but 32:03 it can actually teach me how to how to 32:06 ask it what to do so certainly okay so 32:10 price location size condition to make 32:13 recommendations we can perform the 32:15 following price analysis size analysis 32:17 bedroom analysis based on these 32:20 analyses would you like me to proceed 32:24 I'm just going to say sounds great 32:28 okay so now let's Let It Go off and do 32:30 its 32:32 thing and so again what this is doing 32:35 is it sort of prompted itself you know 32:38 based on my goal to help my wholesale 32:42 friend figure some [ __ ] out and it's 32:45 going to go to these three analyses so 32:47 it's kind of prompting itself here for 32:50 each analysis we list the top properties 32:53 that fit the criteria let's start with 32:55 price 32:56 analysis let's go open this up and look 32:58 at what it's doing so median prices so 33:02 it's sorting 33:04 them by cityan 33:07 Price DF price wait if I can't quite see 33:11 what's it say merge the median prices 33:14 filter the properties that are priced 33:17 below the median so get rid of them so 33:20 so it's sort of figuring out its own 33:22 Logic for how 33:24 to how to make this data why are there 33:27 zeros for for the prices 33:33 here and it looks like it's it looks 33:35 like it it's gone it's gone off the 33:38 rails here CU When it writes red code 33:41 like that I think it I don't know what's 33:44 going on there and it's very very slow 33:47 tonight 33:49 so it's probably because Silver Fox got 33:52 all the new features and she's she's off 33:54 using her new toys and choking chat GPT 33:59 can't work anyway um oh there it's doing 34:04 something properties with a price of 34:06 zero might be data errors let's proceed 34:09 with size 34:11 analysis uh uh 34:14 uh so I I I won't continue on this but 34:17 basically this is what you can do um go 34:19 into chat GPT pay your 20 bucks go find 34:21 your data upload it into Advanced Data 34:24 analysis and just start asking questions 34:26 like this I'm telling you within an hour 34:28 or two the other thing you can ask it to 34:30 do is you can ask it to visualize the 34:32 data so um it works for me about 50% of 34:36 the time but I also don't know what I'm 34:38 doing I'm just kind of randomly telling 34:40 it to make pretty charts and graphs and 34:42 then sometimes it just they're bad data 34:45 post subscription has chat GPT and Cloud 34:47 100K for 1667 USD monthly same as 34:53 purchasing separately 34:56 um it's a good question Nicholas I 35:06 personally I wouldn't pay the money to 35:09 PO although that said I 35:13 do but but the only reason I haven't um 35:18 I haven't turned off that subscription 35:20 is because I have ADD and I can never 35:23 remember to turn off subscriptions I 35:25 start I'm like a I'm like a sub 35:27 subcription marketer dream uh cuz I 35:29 don't I don't believe in buying yearly 35:31 subscriptions on any of this crap right 35:35 now but uh but yeah 35:39 um all right let's let's go every damn 35:45 time what the 35:47 [Laughter] 35:54 turtles we like turtles we like 35:59 toles how do you use Dolly 3 from chat 36:02 GPT I don't know cuz Sam Altman won't 36:04 give me my 36:06 features you know did you 36:09 know that as they're rolling out these 36:12 new features and chat GPT it's Sam Alman 36:15 who's personally rolling them out person 36:17 by person and I what I heard on Twitter 36:21 was he got to my name he skipped over it 36:24 and he's going all the way to the bottom 36:26 of his list and then he's going going to 36:27 come back to the top and get anyone he 36:29 missed that's the list I'm on the missed 36:32 list you'd think having technology like 36:35 chat GPT they could get it to do just 36:38 sign people up but now Sam's doing it 36:40 one person at a time because he 36:43 cares but not about me all right someone 36:47 remind me where I go to get plugins for 36:49 chat gbt I'll remind you 36:53 um okay so to get plugins chat GPT plus 36:58 you got to go there then you go to your 37:03 uh settings so go to settings and beta 37:06 and then under beta features you'll see 37:10 plugins Advanced Data analysis and if 37:13 you're like silver fox you'll also 37:15 probably see browse with Bing they 37:17 brought that back they also have this 37:19 thing um where it's multimodal and could 37:22 read images and you can upload images I 37:25 don't have any of that [ __ ] but I do 37:27 have plugins so you have to turn them on 37:30 so this is the secret why they buried 37:32 this I do not know I don't like it I 37:36 don't like it I got some ice cream and 37:40 you can hand your mom's on Ware okay um 37:45 and then you go to plugins and then how 37:47 you use plugins is the first thing you 37:49 have to do is go get them so at the 37:51 bottom of I have a list cuz I've 37:53 installed some there's this thing called 37:54 the plug-in store so you go there and 37:58 like here's popular ones and you know 38:00 you can scroll through those or you can 38:02 look at all of them and there are now 38:06 246 pages of four each so however many 38:09 that is like 900 or so and then 38:15 um how you use them is you have this 38:20 little pull down menu and anything that 38:23 you've installed has a little checkbox 38:25 beside it in any given chat section 38:27 you can activate up to three of 38:31 them so let me see there's some in here 38:34 that are kind of fun let me I'll I'll do 38:36 a fun one here so I'm going to turn on 38:39 instacart and then I'm going to come 38:41 down here and I'm going to 38:44 go 38:50 um I want to create a shopping list for 38:53 my 38:54 family based on recipes 38:59 that include turtle 39:02 soup and pot 39:06 roast you can make up the 39:11 rest let's see what it 39:13 does not very inspired tonight except I 39:16 did want turtle 39:17 soup one pound of turtle 39:20 meat when I was a kid I used to I used 39:23 to set uh I used to fish for snapping 39:26 tur 39:27 and we'd sell them to restaurants those 39:29 are some evil evil evil 39:34 beasts pot roast all 39:37 right so there's two would you like to 39:40 create a shopping list for these um I'll 39:42 just say 39:46 yes so it wrote us the recipes and now 39:49 it's going to fire off the instacart 39:52 plugin and it's going to generate me a 39:54 shopping list and I could have that 39:56 stuff delivered delivered to my house 39:57 you know within whatever couple hours or 40:01 the hour however fast instacart 40:04 is so that's how you use plugins they're 40:06 pretty simple the the challenge with 40:09 plugins is there's almost a thousand of 40:10 them and most of them are horrible 40:12 useless Wast of time some of them are 40:14 actually kind of cool um Advanced Data 40:18 analysis on the other hand is worth it 40:19 oh someone was asking about is it worth 40:21 it to pay 40:23 for po versus chat GPT the advantage of 40:26 Po is you get access to Claude and chat 40:30 gp4 the disadvantage 40:32 is 40:34 um because you're not paying the 20 40:36 bucks to chat GPT chat GPT is rolling 40:39 out these new features that PO will 40:41 probably get later you'll get access to 40:43 them first with chat 40:45 GPT um chat GPT is going to get do I 40:48 don't know how quickly PO is going to 40:49 incorporate that if ever um so my My 40:54 Philosophy right now is I want to be as 40:55 close to the market Market leaders as 40:57 possible I don't want any layers in 40:59 between it that's why things like Jasper 41:01 or copy AI that are written on top of 41:03 GPT 3 and 4 41:06 um they're they're useful tools but for 41:09 me right now things are changing so fast 41:11 that I want to be sort of at the closest 41:14 the closest layer I can to the people 41:15 creating the frontier models so that's 41:18 what I'm doing so um instacart made us a 41:21 shopping list I click on the 41:24 link and this is pretty slick 41:27 [Laughter] 41:30 there's all the stuff that's in our 41:31 shopping list although I would imagine 41:34 that um Turtle meat is not in here oh no 41:36 it 41:39 is oh that's funny one pound of turtle 41:42 meat Members Mark skinless boneless wild 41:45 cot mahi mahi I I guess it's subbed 41:48 mahim Mahi for turtle 41:52 meat that's hilarious but anyway so so 41:56 you know the plugins can be kind of 41:58 slick like like this thing where you can 42:00 you know order something from instacart 42:02 it's pretty slick all right there you go 42:06 there you go hope they help I hope they 42:08 help I hope they help mhm down in the B 42:10 we going to get out and get some 42:12 Snappers we going to get some Snapples 42:14 we get some catfish we going get some 42:17 craw dads mhm M I like TS mhm 42:24 M what does dodev have gp4 I don't know 42:29 what Nat dodev is but I'll go look at it 42:32 because I'm dying to have malware 42:34 installed on my computer Nat dodev I'm 42:37 not saying Nat dodev has it I'm just 42:39 saying that trolls in here are going to 42:41 go go to this thing I'm gonna inject 42:44 something into my machine don't you do 42:47 it continue to open 42:50 playground uh uh no no I'm not going 42:54 there I'm not signing in I don't I know 42:56 what that 42:57 is although it looks like I've signed 42:59 into it 43:01 before um I don't know it's a 43:04 development environment I'm guessing uh 43:07 it may have access to 43:10 gp4 what is the best grammar check AI um 43:15 an a 43:17 palm I don't know like almost all of 43:20 them are probably calling chat GPT so so 43:25 I think it would be in your interest to 43:28 just copy and paste documents into chat 43:30 GPT and have it check the grammar for 43:31 you like learn to write your own prompts 43:33 to check the grammar 43:36 um you can also wait for um November 1st 43:41 um co-pilot's going to be launched for 43:44 Microsoft Word so if you've got a 43:46 Microsoft Office 365 license you're 43:48 going to have chat gbt inside Microsoft 43:51 Word so you'll be able to do that 43:53 natively there um I think you can buy 43:55 duet right now from from Google which is 43:57 the same thing for them do you have to 43:59 pay for the plugins you do you basically 44:02 you just pay for with chat GPT there's 44:04 there's basically two levels there's 44:06 Enterprise and all that sort of [ __ ] but 44:07 just for consumers and individuals 44:10 there's two levels there's free and 20 44:12 bucks a month the chat GPT plus that 44:16 gets you gp4 plugins code interpreter or 44:20 advaned data analysis it gets you browse 44:23 with Bing which they've brought back so 44:25 connected to the internet 44:28 you're going to get um the multimodal 44:30 thing where you can upload images to it 44:33 you're going to get Dolly 3 so you're 44:36 getting you know five or six major 44:39 things from open Ai and and they've got 44:41 a lot coming isn't nat. Dev the Google 44:44 coding prompt it might be I don't know 44:47 it's 44:49 possible um I'm not I am not a coder so 44:53 um I've not I've not been there to see 44:56 that Kyle um this is totally not malware 45:00 AI is that any good 45:03 exactly 45:05 exactly hey could you go to code. inject 45:08 Dov virus 45:11 [Laughter] 45:16 thanks could you go to drain drain my 45:19 drain my wallet. 45:21 [Laughter] 45:25 crypto attach your Hardware wallet now 45:29 okay the Matrix Matrix is glitching 45:33 because I'm on Discord yeah it's because 45:36 it's because Silver Fox wait you're on 45:38 open a half of their life digging 46:17 into blockchain and nfts I'm so much 46:19 happier in this uh he's right here 46:21 beside me you want to talk to 46:24 him yeah yeah tell tell Sam tell Sam a 46:28 lot of thanks I get for getting him the 46:30 $50 million from Elon to start his 46:33 stupid little chat gbt company he's 46:35 welcome can I have my features 46:37 [Laughter] 46:39 now 46:43 uh yeah Silver Fox that's I don't turn 46:46 off mine either what subscriptions yeah 46:49 exactly if you don't look at your bank 46:51 account you don't know that they're 46:54 there Excel lists for everything 46:56 including finances sub save my life oh 47:01 Jade you're not neuros spicy are you 47:03 well you could be you can have some OCD 47:06 going there you go one of two ways when 47:08 you go neuros spicy total [ __ ] chaos 47:11 or organize it 47:13 all I'm in the chaos 47:18 Camp um it's very good at producing 47:21 graphs you can edit um stats tools are 47:23 still better for visualization what I 47:26 the best for grammar checks that one I 47:28 don't know of a specific tool but you go 47:30 to futur 47:32 pedia.com 47:36 [Music] 47:40 why does my fridge turn on wait why does 47:44 my fridge turn on every time I walk into 47:46 the kitchen after 47:50 dark cuz they're 47:53 watching I think that's I think that's 47:55 the obvious answer 47:56 answer you think you're 48:03 alone so Kyle this is Sam in the room 48:06 with you right wait this Sam in the in 48:09 the room with you right now no Sam's not 48:11 with me Sam's jealous of me the Sam I'm 48:14 referring to is Sam Alman who won't give 48:16 me my new features for chat 48:18 GPT Silver Fox is apparently um hanging 48:22 out with Sam right now 48:24 so she got her she got her features I 48:27 got nothing I got nothing you know what 48:29 I am I'm bitter bitter you 48:33 beta the minute I get my new toys I'll 48:36 be like yeah whatever it's cool it's 48:37 whatever they're all right they're all 48:39 I don't need 48:52 you all right imagine a time when you 48:55 can up upload all your AI chat into your 48:58 head you mean you mean next 49:01 [Laughter] 49:03 year my account is being copied yours 49:06 too um thank you for the rose hair 49:09 growth geek I appreciate that the vision 49:12 plugin will look at a picture of the 49:14 turtle soup give you a recipe and 49:17 approximate calories yep I know M yummy 49:20 Snappy 49:23 Turtles um why don't you drink your 49:25 water in instead of taking one sip 49:35 okay cuz I hate 49:38 ASMR and I just poured a bunch of water 49:40 down my 49:42 shirt um I don't know cuz I'm 49:48 talking I'm trying not to be rude it's 49:51 rude to talk to people when you're 49:53 drinking all day at 49:55 water Dolly won't let me make an image 49:58 of an offering of a human sacrifice in 50:01 front of Sam Alman I would think 50:08 not hey pay we got to get listen you 50:11 know some folks over at the goog we got 50:13 to get goog to release their uh style 50:16 drop that style drop [ __ ] that they 50:18 demoed at the beginning of the summer or 50:20 that the the paper the style drop paper 50:23 I want to see that [ __ ] when's Google's 50:25 image generation stuff coming come on 50:27 man let's go let's make this stuff 50:29 happen and cuz I'm sure goog would let 50:31 you make make a an offering of a 50:34 sacrifice to Sam 50:36 hman thank you for thank you for 50:39 prompting Bing Bing's probably gonna 50:40 shut you down 50:43 now oh Bing is so 50:45 uptight um grammarly has helped me 50:48 through college essays oh yeah there's 50:49 grammarly yeah I was thinking some new 50:51 tool grammarly is probably the one to do 50:53 grammar 50:54 [ __ ] this is totally not malware isn't 50:58 that that um yes thank you I need for 51:02 English and 51:04 Portuguese I so Anna Palm I would I 51:08 would just go to 51:10 um chat 51:13 gbt or Claude claw. A CU Claude you can 51:16 put in really long documents so if your 51:19 documents are too long for chat GPT go 51:21 to Claude and you can paste in really 51:24 long documents and have it work on your 51:25 grand and it can probably translate 51:27 between English and Portuguese Kyle can 51:30 you show a mind map plugin I can I don't 51:33 I haven't used them in a while so I 51:34 don't know which ones are good any any 51:37 suggestions for which ones that are good 51:40 let me see 51:42 um 51:46 plugins there's one called the hell was 51:49 it 51:51 called 51:53 brows oh sorry 52:02 diagrams build charts graphs and 52:05 more schemes diagram architecture 52:09 visualizations flow charts mind 52:11 maps all right let's try this I have 52:14 very low confidence this is not going to 52:17 I have very high confidence this is 52:19 going to 52:20 suck but let's try it 52:24 um let's see 52:31 I want to 52:32 make a flow chart that shows the 52:36 different levels of 52:38 NASCAR from the regional racing leagues 52:43 all the way up to the Sprint 52:48 Cup let's see what this does let's see 52:52 what this does I only found one last 52:55 night or we find them more tonight what 52:56 are we finding what are you looking for 52:58 all right so it says use diagrams show 53:03 me uh uh 53:07 uh here's a 53:11 flowchart 53:14 boom well I wanted 53:19 it they don't have trucks in 53:24 here 53:26 [Applause] 53:28 what are 53:29 these so that was my fault let's see 53:34 um I want more detail you're missing all 53:37 the specific local regions as well as 53:40 the truck series period can you please 53:43 make a much more detailed chart showing 53:46 the details of the NASCAR 53:53 franchise diagrams and show are very 53:56 handy you can take verbal descriptions 53:58 and render into a process map oh that's 54:02 cool yeah that's pretty 54:04 cool oh that's uh yeah that that could 54:07 be kind of fun let's 54:10 see let me let me see if if this does 54:13 anything interesting for 54:15 NASCAR NASCAR east league NASCAR West 54:20 League truck series exfinity series 54:23 Regional racing leagues 54:28 can you add detail for the regional 54:30 racing leagues and the local racing 54:33 leagues so that I can see how many there 54:41 are so anyway this is one of those so so 54:44 this is the thing where and and this is 54:48 going off to some website you know 54:50 probably taking Json or whatever it's 54:52 created in chat 54:54 PT popping it in their site making it 54:57 into a chart sending the image back here 54:59 but then you can it also gives you the 55:01 link to go to their site where you can 55:02 edit it and do things like that so some 55:04 of these things are decently useful um 55:08 the the the thing about plugins there's 55:09 so many of them that just discovering 55:11 them is is is a bit of a a a 55:15 CH a 55:24 cha 55:26 yeah it it's it's not giving me enough 55:27 detail here because I'm giving it shitty 55:29 prompts so this is this is my fault for 55:31 asking bad prompts but anyway that's a 55:33 that's a plugin that does some 55:35 visualization there's other things that 55:37 make pictures there's other things that 55:41 um will book travel there's ones that 55:45 will search like the 55:46 archive um white papers that that's a 55:49 kind of cool one let's go let's go play 55:51 with that one I tried this the other 55:53 night and plugins weren't working so let 55:55 me let me try it 55:59 again ml paper reader wasn't that 56:07 One X papers that one I know 56:11 worked 56:13 um are there any white papers 56:18 on using 56:21 Transformers in conjunction with video 56:24 analysis 56:35 [Music] 56:40 X papers is 56:42 unreachable you 56:46 suck this the problem with plugins is 56:49 like they're good and then they're just 56:51 gone or they're good and then they're 56:53 not good or then they don't work and 56:54 then they do work work and then they 56:56 don't 56:58 work can you find me any recent 57:01 papers using 57:03 Transformers and video 57:11 analysis how do you enable the voice 57:13 function I don't know well if you're 57:16 asking about are you asking about Pi or 57:19 chat GPT I can I can tell you how to do 57:22 both of those for the app certainly here 57:25 are some 57:27 papers provable deep Video Den 57:31 noiser 57:35 2024 now you want to see we can see if 57:38 chat GPT hallucinated here because it's 57:41 a plugin probably not link to the 57:46 paper there's the paper 57:49 nice all right that 57:51 worked combining deep learning with 57:53 Knowledge Graph for design knowledge 57:56 acquisition and conceptual product 57:58 design neuros semantic video analysis 58:00 you know I was just I was talking to a 58:02 friend tonight about neuros semantic 58:04 video analysis because who 58:06 doesn't it's it's like you know it's 58:09 funny we started out we were talking 58:11 about you know Taylor's game uh last 58:13 night in New York at the Jets of course 58:16 right and so so we were talking about 58:18 Taylor and then whatever her boyfriend's 58:21 name is the Travis guy that you know 58:23 she's putting him on the map 58:25 and uh and then we got into neuros 58:27 semantic video analysis it was just like 58:29 the two the two things just it was like 58:31 one went right into the other and it's 58:33 like I I just you know it just felt like 58:35 an evening of culture you know so anyway 58:37 it was really fantastic all right the 58:41 hell is he talking about he doesn't seem 58:42 to make any sense I think he might be 58:44 drunk you think I think he is I think he 58:47 drinks a lot you know what it is I think 58:48 he drinks before he gets on 58:51 here all 58:53 right some plugin seems sus does anyone 58:56 know plugins to stay away from cam 58:59 catkin that's a really good question 59:02 some of the plugins are sus some of the 59:05 plugins are just ads for 59:09 websites I went to one that was like it 59:13 we will rewrite your website copy or 59:16 something like that and so I put in my 59:20 website and then it rewrote my copy and 59:23 then it said and by the way if you want 59:25 to work with an agency who can also 59:27 rewrite it just this good click here I'm 59:30 like oh this is a [ __ ] 59:32 ad was bad so there's a lot of that crap 59:36 going on but what are you going to do 59:39 what are you going to do have you ever 59:42 seen a buffalo hiding in a 59:44 tree that seems like something I 59:46 shouldn't answer can chat GPT make me 59:49 Rich you can make money 59:53 with I don't know if you're asking 59:55 asking that seriously if you're asking 59:56 that as a joke um I'm not the person to 59:59 ask for that um chaty PT can't make you 1:00:04 rich 1:00:06 you with an idea that solves someone's 1:00:10 problem good enough that they give you 1:00:11 lots of money using chat GPT will make 1:00:15 you 1:00:16 rich and that's the answer people don't 1:00:18 want to 1:00:19 hear but that's the actual answer chbt 1:00:23 ah Winston thank you thank you for 1:00:26 making it 1:00:27 rain chat GPT is just a 1:00:32 tool the the an an 1:00:36 equally relevant question to ask is Will 1:00:39 Photoshop make you 1:00:41 rich will Microsoft Word make you 1:00:45 rich if you write something good enough 1:00:47 that it 1:00:48 sells a million copies 1:00:51 [Laughter] 1:00:54 sure 1:00:56 that's that's the deal now here's the 1:00:59 good news the good news is these tools 1:01:01 are so powerful chat GPT and the like 1:01:05 that if you have an idea but you don't 1:01:07 really have the expertise to really 1:01:09 execute that you put in a good month 1:01:12 with chat GPT you'll have the expertise 1:01:14 to be able to do that 1:01:17 so U I cannot comment on anything Google 1:01:21 unfortunately unless it's announced 1:01:23 released or open source oh I know Pate 1:01:25 I'm just I'm just joshing on you I'm 1:01:28 just joshing on 1:01:29 you 1:01:31 um I work with big companies all the 1:01:33 time I know how that [ __ ] 1:01:37 works it's just it's just you know Tik 1:01:40 Tock 1:01:41 harassment I'm just harassing my 1:01:44 viewers tool to translate PDF of a web 1:01:47 page into HTML for WordPress thank you 1:01:51 steo oh level 21 steo working his way up 1:01:55 the 1:02:00 ranks tool to translate a PDF of a web 1:02:04 page into HTML for 1:02:08 WordPress oh 1:02:12 God I just saw a 1:02:15 thing two days 1:02:19 ago that turns I think it was text into 1:02:22 a WordPress site 1:02:25 I don't know I got nothing for you hair 1:02:26 growth geek sorry about that anyone else 1:02:29 can help there I'm not paying attention 1:02:31 to the web Generation stuff I just feel 1:02:33 like there's so [ __ ] many of them and 1:02:35 so many of them are so bad and so early 1:02:37 and so 1:02:38 raw 1:02:43 um yeah I there there probably are but 1:02:47 I'm I'm not the I I got nothing for you 1:02:50 just search for mind mapping oh okay and 1:02:52 plugins okay I'll do that that's it 1:02:55 um I know nothing exactly Dr J 1:02:59 understands my 1:03:00 qualifications goose egg here this is 1:03:03 Taylor Swift this is my 1:03:07 qualifications I Taylor Swift you with 1:03:11 my lack of 1:03:13 [Laughter] 1:03:16 qualifications at at Taylor Swift 1:03:19 concerts you get friendship bracelets at 1:03:21 AI learning lab meetings you get 1:03:23 incompetence bracelets 1:03:32 imposer syndrome is 1:03:36 real I'm an impostor no I'm an impostor 1:03:40 none of us know 1:03:41 anything they all seem like they know 1:03:44 what they're talking about that's the 1:03:45 ruse it's 1:03:47 [Applause] 1:03:48 hilarious why don't I see 1:03:51 prompts in chat gbt why don't I see the 1:03:55 prompts in chat 1:03:58 GPT Rowan bedau I don't know what you 1:04:02 mean why don't you see at chat 1:04:04 GPT are you on 1:04:06 mobile it's possible you're in a non 1:04:11 real chat GPT app but if you're here at 1:04:15 chat GPT The Prompt is just this message 1:04:18 down here send a message right the the 1:04:22 worst possible user interface so so the 1:04:25 prompt here is um write me a sonnet 1:04:30 about a turtle that falls in love with a 1:04:33 hedgehog in the 1:04:35 style 1:04:38 of Harry 1:04:44 Styles so I don't know what you mean by 1:04:47 you can't see the prompts sh do we want 1:04:49 to see is this any good in in leafy 1:04:53 Glades were Twilight Shadows play a 1:04:56 turtle slow in solitude he'd 1:04:59 roam his heart encased in armor day by 1:05:01 day till fate intervened he found a home 1:05:06 a hedgehog fair with quills both sharp 1:05:08 and sweet her eyes like stars her 1:05:11 laughter like a song in her Embrace his 1:05:14 world found fullness complete for love 1:05:17 it seemed had lingered far too long and 1:05:20 it goes on it's I could I could read it 1:05:22 all night I won't the ones on top the 1:05:26 ones on 1:05:30 top do you oh do you mean these these 1:05:33 things this extra [ __ ] okay if you're 1:05:35 not seeing this extra [ __ ] in GPT 4 1:05:38 here's your problem or do you mean these 1:05:40 ones to the left I don't I'm not quite 1:05:42 sure which one you're you're missing but 1:05:44 if you're not seeing the things in gp4 1:05:46 you have to go into your settings and 1:05:48 then go to Beta features and turn them 1:05:53 on and you may have have more than two 1:05:55 and if you do then I'll be jealous of 1:05:57 you cuz I only have two and I want at 1:05:59 least three I want 10 and I got nothing 1:06:03 I got two and then that's what gives you 1:06:05 these extra things and if you're talking 1:06:07 about the 1:06:08 plugins so if I go to 1:06:11 plugins and you're saying if you're 1:06:13 clicking on this and you don't have all 1:06:15 these that's just because you haven't 1:06:17 installed them yet so you kind of scroll 1:06:18 to the bottom go to the plug-in store 1:06:21 and then when you find let me see I'll 1:06:23 search for mind 1:06:26 map 1:06:28 um here's wh Whimsical diagrams create 1:06:31 and edit flowcharts so then you say 1:06:34 install and now when I go over to 1:06:40 plugins there's science and somewhere 1:06:42 down here there's Whimsical 1:06:45 diagrams all right but you have to you 1:06:48 have to be in plug-in 1:06:51 mode and then you grab that little pull 1:06:53 down menu 1:06:55 this is so one of one of the 1:07:00 things one of the things that we talk 1:07:02 about here at the AI learning lab quite 1:07:04 a 1:07:06 bit is that we are at a phase of the 1:07:09 industry right now where all of these 1:07:12 tools are janky pieces of [ __ ] so so the 1:07:16 interface for chat 1:07:19 GPT Kyle how do you activate the 1:07:22 microphone on speech cap capability 1:07:24 ities on prompt box on chat GPT I'm 1:07:28 using so I'm on a Mac 1:07:33 and 1:07:35 um I'm on a Mac and hang on I forget 1:07:40 what it's called on a Mac why where's my 1:07:42 mouse oh there it 1:07:45 is 1:07:48 um so basically I just put 1:07:52 my I just put my cursor 1:07:55 you know so it's a blinky cursor and 1:07:58 then I hit F5 so on my Mac F5 is the uh 1:08:02 microphone icon and I think you have to 1:08:04 enable it in 1:08:06 accessibility I forget what it's 1:08:12 called it's not dictation um 1:08:18 mic accessibility 1:08:23 microphone 1:08:27 voice control 1:08:32 no I don't know if someone knows what 1:08:35 it's called it's it's F5 on my 1:08:38 Mac will AI be a fat or is it here to 1:08:41 stay good very good question so 1:08:45 um AI is in incredibly hyped right 1:08:52 now I think it's possible that it's 1:08:54 underhyped 1:08:55 [Laughter] 1:08:57 but 1:08:59 um where um where did I 1:09:09 put where did I have that 1:09:12 what I just did a presentation the other 1:09:15 day where I had a 1:09:21 chart oh it was the salon wasn't it 1:09:25 wasn't that 1:09:35 one no wasn't 1:09:42 that hang on I'll be with you I'll be 1:09:44 with you right there I'll be I'll be 1:09:46 right with you um so couple of things 1:09:49 going 1:09:53 on um Microsoft so 1:09:58 okay little history 1:10:01 about about how we got 1:10:04 here even though it seems like AI just 1:10:08 showed up overnight and it's like why is 1:10:09 everybody talking about AI right now 1:10:12 ai's been around for decades in 2017 1:10:15 Google invents this thing called the 1:10:17 Transformer the 1:10:19 Transformer what it effectively did was 1:10:22 let these machine learning scientists 1:10:25 train machine learning models on really 1:10:27 large data 1:10:29 sets which all sounds really boring and 1:10:32 some people use the AI learning lab to 1:10:33 put them to sleep at night and now you 1:10:35 know 1:10:37 why 1:10:38 um one of the data sets that some people 1:10:42 realize that you could train it on is 1:10:44 all of the internet what if we trained 1:10:46 these large language models on as much 1:10:48 of the public internet as we could get 1:10:49 our hands on and open AI the company 1:10:52 behind chat GPT was one of those and 1:10:55 open AI invented chat GPT or not chat 1:10:58 GPT they invented gpt1 gpt2 which was 1:11:02 the first one that shed started showing 1:11:04 signs of interest and intelligence so 1:11:07 2017 they invent this thing 2019 there's 1:11:11 gpt2 2020 is gpt3 gpt3 is the one that 1:11:16 actually made some 1:11:17 news and 1:11:19 then in the fall of 1:11:23 2022 um Microsoft and openi are working 1:11:27 together and Microsoft is about to make 1:11:30 an announcement that they've invested a 1:11:32 billion dollars in chat GPT or into uh 1:11:35 open 1:11:37 Ai and Sam Alman the guy I've been 1:11:41 making fun of all night says to his 1:11:43 Engineers 1:11:44 hey Microsoft's about to make this big 1:11:47 announcement we don't really have 1:11:48 anything we can point the public to to 1:11:50 show them what we do can you just whip 1:11:52 up a little chat GPT you got two two 1:11:54 weeks so they whipped up chat GPT in 2 1:11:57 weeks 1:11:59 now inside the documentation of 1:12:03 gpt3 were the instructions for how to 1:12:05 build chat GPT and it it had been out 1:12:08 for like two years nobody built it 1:12:10 nobody built it so Sam mman said go 1:12:12 build that thing we told everyone they 1:12:14 should build he built it they launched 1:12:17 it it got to a million users within 5 1:12:20 days it got to 100 million users within 1:12:22 6 weeks it was the fastest adoption of 1:12:25 software in history 100 million users in 1:12:28 6 weeks on a janky ass piece of software 1:12:32 that was written in two weeks 1:12:34 okay that 1:12:36 Domino changed 1:12:39 everything Google invented the 1:12:41 Transformer and certainly could have 1:12:43 been leading this charge and I think 1:12:46 kind of mothballed it because they 1:12:48 probably 1:12:49 recognized that if they create a 1:12:51 technology that just answers people's 1:12:53 questions 1:12:55 that's going to be bad for search their 1:12:57 entire business is based on getting 1:12:59 people to do this a lot click click 1:13:03 click click let me click to a website 1:13:05 let me click to a website let me click 1:13:07 to advertising let me click to a website 1:13:09 let me click to this so if you just say 1:13:11 what's the answer to this and it goes 1:13:12 here's your answer and that not good so 1:13:16 they had kind of backed out of the 1:13:19 game Microsoft makes this announcement 1:13:22 of a billion dooll investment 1:13:24 you know this thing gets to 100 million 1:13:27 people in 6 weeks Microsoft then 1:13:29 sometime in that kind of first month 1:13:32 goes from $1 billion investment to A10 1:13:35 billion investment so Microsoft 1:13:37 basically guarantees that chat PT is not 1:13:40 going away that open AI is here to stay 1:13:42 and they basically committed to Rolling 1:13:44 chat EPT across their entire product 1:13:46 line 1:13:48 Microsoft has Revenue other than 1:13:51 advertising Revenue right they've got 1:13:53 software sales and operating system 1:13:55 sales and cloud services they have a 1:13:57 bunch of services that they can monetize 1:13:59 so they can give away this really 1:14:02 expensive thing called chat 1:14:04 GPT um because they're going to make 1:14:06 money on their 1:14:07 software so because of that 1:14:10 popularity everyone panicked Google 1:14:13 panicked um Facebook meta 1:14:16 panicked um Apple hasn't panicked but 1:14:19 they they up their research budget in 1:14:21 2023 to 22 1:14:24 .4 billion most of that's in generative 1:14:28 AI um you've got companies like like uh 1:14:32 inflection raised $1.3 1:14:35 billion um anthropic Amazon a week ago 1:14:40 invested up to $4 billion in anthropic 1:14:43 that's 1:14:44 claw. so so you've got all of the major 1:14:47 players then you've got Elon Musk 1:14:49 freaked out and said everybody should 1:14:51 stop doing AI research while he was 1:14:53 ordering 10,000 gpus and he started 1:14:55 x. um so he's building a thing so you've 1:14:59 got all of the major players right now 1:15:01 investing not Millions not hundreds of 1:15:04 millions billions of dollars in all of 1:15:07 these competing tracks and and they're 1:15:09 they're it's it's all accelerating and 1:15:11 coming at us really fast and what that 1:15:13 did is it it made the entire developer 1:15:16 Community turn away from blockchain and 1:15:19 nfts to AI so you got the entire 1:15:22 developer community the entire 1:15:24 investment Community all of big Tech all 1:15:27 of them pushing in the same direction 1:15:30 with AI so it's not going anywhere then 1:15:34 you've got a month ago Google announ or 1:15:38 launched duet which is their barred 1:15:42 thank you very much let's talk 1:15:47 um their their uh chat GPT like thing is 1:15:51 is in their Office Products so in Google 1:15:53 Docs Google Sheets all that you can turn 1:15:55 on this thing called 1:15:56 Duet um it's crappy right now it's not 1:15:59 worth doing but it's going to get good 1:16:01 November 1st Office 365 gets co-pilot 1:16:05 which is basically chat GPT integrated 1:16:08 into the office suite in Microsoft Word 1:16:12 in PowerPoint in Excel in all that crap 1:16:16 in your email in Google teams in um the 1:16:21 operating system Windows 11 in GitHub 1:16:25 co-pilot in Azure cloud 1:16:30 services throughout Microsoft it's it's 1:16:33 it's in all of the products 1:16:35 so yes it's here to stay all right Jade 1:16:39 I didn't see the drop down for plugins 1:16:41 wait I don't see the drop down for 1:16:43 plugins okay let me show you one more 1:16:45 time CU it is this is some janky ass 1:16:49 interface uh uh um okay 1:16:54 can I make this 1:16:56 bigger yes okay so you got jet GPT 3.5 1:17:01 and gp4 you go to 1:17:04 gp4 and then you go to you got to make 1:17:06 sure plugins has a check mark beside it 1:17:09 if if you're in default you won't see 1:17:11 the drop down if you don't see plugins 1:17:15 or Advanced Data analysis it means you 1:17:17 don't have those those options turned on 1:17:19 in your settings so you go to your 1:17:22 settings you go to Beta 1:17:26 features and then there's plugins and 1:17:29 you turn them 1:17:31 on and then when you do that when you go 1:17:34 to gp4 you've got three options here 1:17:38 turn on plugins and then you should see 1:17:41 that little teeny tiny carrot here let 1:17:45 me 1:17:46 un un enable these 1:17:52 things 1:17:54 wait 1:17:58 why oh I see what's going 1:18:06 on oh my God their interface is so bad 1:18:11 okay 1:18:15 so so it's it it says no plugins enabled 1:18:19 and there's that little carrot that's 1:18:20 the thing that you drop down and that's 1:18:23 how you 1:18:25 put them put them 1:18:27 on you'll see a little window like that 1:18:30 all 1:18:30 right that should give it to you that 1:18:33 should Square you up that should Square 1:18:35 you up yeah yeah you're going to you're 1:18:38 going to need you're going to need to uh 1:18:40 you're going to need to get in there 1:18:42 with an allen wrench you know it might 1:18:45 be metric it might be metric you don't 1:18:48 you don't want 1:18:49 to you don't want to use uh American you 1:18:53 don't want to use American if it if it 1:18:55 needs metric you'll just you'll strip 1:18:57 your you'll strip it you'll strip it you 1:19:00 don't want to do 1:19:01 that all right all right all right 1:19:06 fantastic Bob J M's 1:19:11 one I want 1:19:15 got Sam corn hello can't stay long 1:19:18 tonight I'm so tired I know me too I'm a 1:19:21 I'm a little crispy tonight time is is 1:19:23 9:30 I'll do like another half hour um I 1:19:27 want cat gpt1 I think you can probably 1:19:30 still go play with it if you if you go 1:19:32 to the playground open AI playground Tom 1:19:35 Hanks is still the top AI news story 1:19:37 today what did he 1:19:41 do let's go find out Tom Han 1:19:48 say Tom Hank warns of AI version of him 1:19:52 used to promote dental plan I have 1:19:54 nothing to do with it ah 1:19:56 yes that so 1:20:00 here um 1:20:03 2024 is going to be a [ __ ] show in terms 1:20:09 of people being impersonated 1:20:11 misinformation it's going to be crazy 1:20:13 going to be crazy we're going to I I've 1:20:17 said this a fair amount in here I think 1:20:19 there's going to be a need for 1:20:22 um some sort of people verifier which 1:20:26 sounds terrifying sounds sounds a lot 1:20:29 like China's you know 1:20:31 social whatever that thing is the social 1:20:33 your social score is that what it is 1:20:36 they track your social score um but 1:20:38 we're going to need to find a way to 1:20:40 like verify that people are people and 1:20:42 that content is content 1:20:44 cuz sleazy marketers like this crowd you 1:20:47 can make money 1:20:49 with they're going to be spoofing people 1:20:52 all the time cuz it's going going to be 1:20:53 so easy to just spoof a 1:20:57 celebrity make that celebrity say hey 1:21:00 buy my [ __ ] people will go by the [ __ ] 1:21:02 the celebrity will find out about it 1:21:04 they'll cease and assist them they'll 1:21:06 they'll back down they'll shut the [ __ ] 1:21:08 down or they'll just run it for 5 days 1:21:09 and then they'll shut it down and then 1:21:11 they'll spoof another celebrity so it's 1:21:14 going to be like [ __ ] 1:21:16 whack-a-mole and at some point someone's 1:21:18 going to have had it and say we got to 1:21:20 figure out a way to deal with this and 1:21:22 uh and we'll see things like Sam alman's 1:21:25 worldcoin have you used Monica I heard 1:21:27 it combines mid Journey chat GPT and 1:21:29 something else I haven't Alisa but 1:21:32 that's really interesting let's go look 1:21:34 Monica Monica AI something else I forgot 1:21:38 yeah I know I I know how that goes it's 1:21:40 like I heard about this thing and it's 1:21:42 got some [ __ ] in 1:21:44 it uh Monica AI let's see Monica your 1:21:49 chat GPT AI assistant oh it's a Chrome 1:21:51 extension I tend not 1:21:54 to I tend not to play with Chrome 1:21:58 extensions cuz my my [ __ ] my [ __ ] 1:22:02 i' I've got edges my default browser and 1:22:04 because I'm a tab hoarder I've I don't 1:22:07 know how many how many do I have open 1:22:08 right 1:22:09 now uh it doesn't say a lot it's it's 1:22:14 normally north of 1:22:15 75 um because of that my machine's just 1:22:18 crashing all the time so I try to I try 1:22:20 not to add as many as many as I can but 1:22:23 let's see what this is powered chat 1:22:25 assistant hit command by the way that's 1:22:29 synthesized voice and M or click the 1:22:32 icon and chat with Monica on any page at 1:22:35 any time hi Monica what's the dollar to 1:22:38 pound exchange rate 1:22:41 today hello according to my search 1:22:45 results $1 us is currently worth 0.79 1:22:49 British P see and that's the kind of 1:22:51 thing I mean while that looks slick like 1:22:53 like in 1:22:54 Microsoft um Bing you know you've got 1:22:58 this Bing button here it pops open this 1:23:00 sidebar that's essentially that 1:23:02 anyway have you been human verified oh 1:23:06 yeah here look I like showing this 1:23:18 [Music] 1:23:20 off it's going to be so 1:23:23 you're going to love it you're going to 1:23:25 love it where is it there it 1:23:29 is 1:23:30 that is my world 1:23:34 ID and I can flip it over it's got my um 1:23:39 my uh you know ID number on the back and 1:23:45 verified at orb so the orb is a thing 1:23:48 that kind of looks like this like an orb 1:23:52 but it's Chrome and it's flat on one 1:23:54 side with a bunch of cameras on it and 1:23:56 you just stick it in your you just just 1:23:59 look into it and you got to open your 1:24:02 eyes wide and then it's I think someone 1:24:05 told me it's actually scanning your 1:24:06 retina and then it um 1:24:10 compares the hash of whatever it's on 1:24:13 your retina with all the other humans in 1:24:15 the system and if you're unique it's it 1:24:19 basically said comparing or or um 1:24:22 determining your uniqueness and then 1:24:25 once it said you're unique then it gave 1:24:27 me this and so you can flip this thing 1:24:29 over and so yeah so I am officially a 1:24:33 human chat gbt 180 million users mid 1:24:37 Journey 15 million users when dolly3 1:24:41 launches the 1:24:43 internet will break might just break oh 1:24:46 that's amazing I hadn't even thought 1:24:48 about that retr 1:24:50 punk wow so more than 10 1:24:54 times 1:24:56 yeah 180 million 1:25:00 users I wonder if that's why they're 1:25:02 slow rolling it if they haven't why they 1:25:04 haven't rolled it out cuz have you 1:25:05 noticed that um 1:25:07 Bing Bing's dolly3 stuff keeps going up 1:25:12 and down like sometimes it'll take half 1:25:14 an hour to make an image sometimes it 1:25:16 just crashes sometimes it's like it's 1:25:17 not turned on now other times it's fast 1:25:20 I have a feeling I have a feeling 1:25:22 they're they're trying to figure some 1:25:23 [ __ ] out right now with uh scalability 1:25:26 cuz I would think that 1:25:30 um I would think that 1:25:34 um doing the image Generation stuff is a 1:25:37 lot more GPU intensive than the tech 1:25:39 stuff but I don't know Boy The Matrix is 1:25:42 really glitchy tonight for me I think 1:25:44 that's why mid journey is slow GPU 1:25:46 shortage interesting yeah if if mid 1:25:49 journey is using oh that's okay so so 1:25:52 here's here's a fascinating thing so 1:25:55 let's 1:25:57 say oh this is [ __ ] 1:26:03 intense so let's say so let's say right 1:26:05 now you got pi and let's say Pi uses AWS 1:26:11 servers and then you've got mid journey 1:26:13 and they're using Microsoft asure I 1:26:15 don't know who's using 1:26:17 what but you've now also got 1:26:21 AWS and micros oft prioritizing their 1:26:24 own 1:26:25 models and so so so do the do the big do 1:26:31 the owners of the GPU Farm start 1:26:34 hoarding GPU Cycles from their 1:26:37 customers that's [ __ ] fascinating 1:26:39 that could oh wow um Neo and gang must 1:26:43 be 1:26:44 messing with the with the system yeah I 1:26:48 it's it's been weird tonight Discord was 1:26:50 weird and then Tik Tok here the screen 1:26:52 went black and then it came back and 1:26:54 then it said your Network dropped I used 1:26:57 Monica once um yeah like like the the 1:27:01 plug-in tools are okay the the or the 1:27:04 not the plugin tools the uh the 1:27:05 extensions Chrome extensions are cool 1:27:08 but they're all basically just prompts 1:27:10 sitting on top of chat 1:27:12 GPT um for the most part and so it's 1:27:17 like I don't know I I'm I think I'm just 1:27:21 an old man at this point I don't want to 1:27:23 there's the the problem 1:27:26 is the only thing that I'm paying 1:27:28 attention to right now are kind of the 1:27:30 primary models like I'm I'm paying 1:27:32 attention to like what's my list I've 1:27:40 got I have these 1:27:44 four I have these four large language 1:27:47 models chat GPT Bard Claude and 1:27:49 Bing I've got pi meta and 1:27:54 po I've got Dolly 3 mid Journey ideogram 1:27:58 Firefly and then I would include 1:28:00 Leonardo and that so those are the image 1:28:02 things I'm paying attention to so what's 1:28:04 that that's 7 + 5 is 12 plus you know 1:28:10 four 1:28:14 more so I'm paying attention to less 1:28:17 than 20 things and I'm just ignoring 1:28:20 everything else and just keeping up with 1:28:23 the things that I think are the most 1:28:25 important is impossible it's it really 1:28:29 is a kind of thing someone came into the 1:28:31 salon Discord the other night and they 1:28:33 were like wait I was gone for 12 hours 1:28:35 what what 1:28:37 happened like and that's what it's like 1:28:39 Microsoft Dolly feels like the like a 1:28:42 high-tech 1:28:44 DMV lunar stick you gotta you got to 1:28:47 start dropping more jokes these are good 1:28:49 I like it that was good one 1:28:54 I what what was the joke was before you 1:28:57 started H hanging out in here lunis dick 1:29:00 um I did one night I don't think you 1:29:03 were in here but um someone asked me if 1:29:06 if chat GPT could write a joke and so I 1:29:09 wrote a prompt I wrote a premise of a 1:29:11 joke and then we went through we went 1:29:13 through the seven my top seven of these 1:29:15 things and we had each of them I used 1:29:18 the prompt the same prompt you know 1:29:19 write a joke based on this premise um 1:29:23 spoiler alert gp41 it was really good um 1:29:28 but bing bing which is sits on top of 1:29:32 gp4 but Bing chat's really bad um it 1:29:35 wrote the shittiest joke it was so bad 1:29:38 and it was my joke that night was um 1:29:42 Bing's joke joke writing capabilities 1:29:44 are as if it was a joke written by 1:29:46 Microsoft 1:29:48 cuz it's exactly what it was it was bad 1:29:52 it at least had a joke structure but man 1:29:55 was it bad Dolly 3 was backed up today 1:29:57 it took 10 minutes for one image kept 1:29:59 apologizing yeah I know that's yeah I 1:30:02 have a feeling I have a feeling open AI 1:30:04 is going to slow some [ __ ] down I'm it 1:30:07 the the I I forget I think it was retr 1:30:09 Punk that just kind of floated this 1:30:12 idea that if mid Journey's slow because 1:30:16 they're getting throttled by whoever 1:30:18 their host is let's say it's AWS and and 1:30:21 Amazon 1:30:23 if Amazon okay so Amazon just invested 1:30:26 $1.5 billion 1:30:30 into into anthropic into 1:30:33 Claude my guess is most of that is GPU 1:30:37 time and and and they reserved the right 1:30:40 to invest up to 4 1:30:42 billion so they're going to prioritize 1:30:44 that over their paying customers I bet I 1:30:46 bet they are this is 1:30:49 fascinating this is fascinating this is 1:30:52 gpus are going to be like 1:30:55 oil it's cuz the AI winter is coming no 1:30:58 no that's just winter Clint Winter's 1:31:00 coming it's Summer's over did you know 1:31:02 it's fall dude you got to get out of the 1:31:04 house 1:31:05 [Laughter] 1:31:09 more it's comedy Robin Williams daughter 1:31:12 slams AI Recreations of him as 1:31:15 disturbing yeah well get used to 1:31:19 it I mean 1:31:23 all the Estates of you know famous 1:31:27 people 1:31:28 that you know want new ways to monetize 1:31:31 the estate are going to be all over this 1:31:34 so we're going to start to see movies 1:31:37 with with different stars in them and 1:31:40 it's it's going to 1:31:44 like yeah it's you can't escape it I 1:31:48 mean the problem with this stuff is is 1:31:51 not like when I hear these arguments 1:31:53 like you know should we be should we be 1:31:57 synthesizing other people with without 1:31:59 their permission should we I I don't 1:32:03 it the the moral stance on it is 1:32:06 irrelevant like it's happening you know 1:32:10 should big corporations do that no are 1:32:12 individuals going to do that [ __ ] 1:32:15 yes you know fan generated music of 1:32:19 famous people is going to be a major 1:32:23 genre in music in the next probably 1:32:26 three 1:32:28 years so like Justin Bieber will be 1:32:30 singing songs Justin Bieber Never sang 1:32:33 and didn't write and fans did fans 1:32:35 generated it and they want Justin to 1:32:37 sing their stupid 1:32:38 song there going to be a lot of that and 1:32:41 you know what's going to happen one of 1:32:42 those fans is going to have a 1:32:45 hit and then it's going to be 1:32:47 interesting to see which of the Stars 1:32:50 sue their fans and which of the Stars 1:32:53 like Grimes says [ __ ] it synthesize me 1:32:56 all you want just give me 1:32:58 50% she took the it's going to happen 1:33:01 anyway what do I care route and I think 1:33:04 a lot of artists are going to go the 1:33:06 other direction and I think I think it's 1:33:09 going to be a PR disaster for them 1:33:12 because if if if I'm a music writer it's 1:33:16 a really good headline to say you know 1:33:20 you know this particular star is suing 1:33:22 their 1:33:24 fans so 1:33:27 interesting oh no the 1:33:28 [Laughter] 1:33:37 bé JP Morgan's Diamond Jamie Diamond 1:33:41 predicts 3.5 day work week for the Next 1:33:44 Generation thanks to AI there there you 1:33:46 go it's what what percentage is that 1:33:49 that's like a 25 or 30% productivity 1:33:52 increase would would lead to a 3 and 1 1:33:54 half day week that sounds about 1:33:58 right 1:34:00 um I have rubber gloves on it's hard to 1:34:06 type the Irregulars are so weird I like 1:34:09 the Irregulars they're so cool they're 1:34:12 so cool the Irregulars yay you did it 1:34:16 and listen I can hear you out there 1:34:19 already going Irregulars isn't spelled 1:34:21 correct correctly hey I did it what do 1:34:24 just shut up we know what it 1:34:29 says likely to make D dramatic 1:34:32 improvements in workers quality of life 1:34:35 even if it eliminates some jobs I 1:34:37 totally agree with that and it's going 1:34:39 to make you know the other thing it's 1:34:40 going to do tonius it's going to make 1:34:42 new jobs I think there's going to be a a 1:34:45 a really 1:34:46 painful phase where Jobs go away but 1:34:49 then there's going to be new jobs that 1:34:51 come out of all this this 1:34:55 stuff just like every other time in 1:35:00 history where the new technology showed 1:35:02 up and people said the new technology is 1:35:05 from the devil and we should hate it and 1:35:07 we should burn it down and we should 1:35:08 pass laws to not use the new technology 1:35:11 and guess what the new technology does 1:35:13 it doesn't [ __ ] care cuz it's 1:35:15 technology thanks for the 1:35:17 beaver that ask make a good 1:35:20 Beaver um 1:35:23 same shit's going to happen 1:35:25 here there's going to be remarkable 1:35:28 advancements made there's going to be 1:35:30 remarkable advances in science and medic 1:35:33 medicine and productivity and invention 1:35:36 and creativity we're entering a 1:35:37 Renaissance we're entering a new new 1:35:39 Renaissance it's going to be [ __ ] 1:35:41 amazing but we're going to go through 1:35:42 the pain to get there I got trolled for 1:35:44 my Batman comic 1:35:46 panels by Dolly comic book Geeks that 1:35:50 hate AI yeah that's going to happen I 1:35:53 mean 1:35:56 again you know 1:36:00 the the vitriol against AI art I I 1:36:04 understand why it's there but 1:36:09 it it's the equivalent of Florida 1:36:12 passing a law to no longer accept 1:36:19 hurricanes they can pass the law I 1:36:22 understand why they're passing the 1:36:23 law but 1:36:27 whether so you can hate AI generated 1:36:31 art as an artist especially as an 1:36:34 illustrator and you can say this 1:36:36 threatens my livelihood and it 1:36:38 does and you can respond in one of two 1:36:41 ways you can do the equivalent of 1:36:43 passing a law to prevent 1:36:48 hurricanes or you can you know get out 1:36:51 and start riding them 1:36:54 waves and the the artists that I know 1:36:56 that are are leaning into it some of 1:36:59 them still hate it but they're doing it 1:37:03 and some of them the ones the ones that 1:37:05 I know that are kind of leaning into it 1:37:07 and playing with it and experimenting 1:37:08 what they're finding is they're finding 1:37:11 their artistic Voice Within AI tools and 1:37:15 so what's going to end up happening is 1:37:18 this AI tools democrati 1:37:22 the execution right and that's that's 1:37:24 what what's pissing you know 1:37:26 illustrators in particular you got a 1:37:27 30-year illustration career and some 1:37:30 [ __ ] dweeb nut with a computer comes 1:37:32 along and goes I can make Batman 1:37:36 too out comes Batman it's pretty good 1:37:40 and that 30-year illustrator career is 1:37:42 like what the 1:37:44 [ __ ] but but what's going to happen is 1:37:48 this the core capability gets 1:37:51 democratized so everybody gets like they 1:37:53 go from down here to up 1:37:56 here and what's going to happen is 1:37:58 there's going to be some cute computer 1:38:00 nerdy types that really geek out on the 1:38:02 prompting with these tools and they're 1:38:04 going to rise above the base level 1:38:06 they're going to R they're going to 1:38:07 figure out how to do this stuff in ways 1:38:09 that other people couldn't have imagined 1:38:12 and then you're going to have some 1:38:13 traditional artists that Embrace this AI 1:38:16 stuff and they're going to rise above 1:38:17 the noise so you're going to have a 1:38:18 whole new class of artists where 1:38:21 everyone's using generative AI image 1:38:23 [ __ ] all the same they're all making the 1:38:25 same crap and it looks sexy at first but 1:38:28 it's just going to all turn into 1:38:30 noise and then people are going to 1:38:32 figure figure out how to use it in 1:38:35 really compelling ways and they're going 1:38:36 to rise above the noise and yeah exactly 1:38:40 retr 1:38:41 Punk and and so true artists will emerge 1:38:45 some of them will be artists today that 1:38:49 embrace it and rise out of the [ __ ] 1:38:51 morass and and figure out new new ways 1:38:54 to use this and some of them will not be 1:38:56 artists today they'll just be people 1:38:58 that were like oh my God I can take my 1:39:01 logical coding linear thinking skills 1:39:05 and apply them to 1:39:07 prompting in this tool and I can make 1:39:09 better art than anyone out there 1:39:15 cool look at DJs musicians look at DJs 1:39:19 and they're like well that's not real 1:39:21 music you're just pressing 1:39:23 buttons but have you ever seen a [ __ ] 1:39:25 techno concert they get some people 1:39:28 moving it's still 1:39:30 music they're just using different tools 1:39:32 and they're using the tools in a 1:39:33 different way so same shit's coming so 1:39:38 all those people that are just like 1:39:39 sitting on the sideline like [ __ ] AI 1:39:42 well okay 1:39:45 okay yeah Peter yeah listen we're going 1:39:49 to need you to go on ahead and come on 1:39:51 in on Saturday yeah yeah oh and uh one 1:39:55 more thing Peter um yeah we're going to 1:39:59 need you to go on ahead and come on in 1:40:00 on Sunday 1:40:05 [Laughter] 1:40:08 too um do I have to AI my CV for every 1:40:13 job I apply to you know what's funny so 1:40:15 I was talking to there were some new 1:40:16 people that moved into my my work 1:40:18 building today and I was talking to them 1:40:20 and of course I started going have you 1:40:22 played with AI yet cuz I'm a 1:40:24 crackhead 1:40:27 um but the woman said that there was a 1:40:31 guy that used to work at that company 1:40:34 and he got a new job he he had been 1:40:37 looking for a new job for like two 1:40:38 months sending out his resume and 1:40:41 getting nothing like like you know 1:40:43 hundreds of applications and he said oh 1:40:46 [ __ ] it and he took a job description 1:40:48 and he took his resume and he pasted it 1:40:50 into chat GPT and he had chat GPT make 1:40:53 him a a new refocus the resume and wrote 1:40:56 him a cover letter and he got he got 1:40:59 three 1:40:59 interviews in in one mailing like he'd 1:41:02 been trying for months got nothing and 1:41:06 did did basically a custom resume per 1:41:09 job and a custom cover letter per hiring 1:41:12 manager and got and and got a job like 1:41:16 he got he got three three appointments 1:41:18 in one day in one mailing and booked one 1:41:22 of the jobs so yeah I think you will I 1:41:25 think I think the era that we're moving 1:41:27 into is an era of hyper personalization 1:41:30 and I think it it's everywhere so it's 1:41:33 like sending out a generic email to 1:41:38 someone any any kind of formulaic mail 1:41:41 is going to get 1:41:44 increasingly 1:41:46 stupid because I'll be able to do an 1:41:49 incredibly personalized 1:41:52 email um like for outbound sales now as 1:41:56 the receiver of that [ __ ] it's going to 1:41:58 get really annoying because it's going 1:41:59 to get hard to sift through what's real 1:42:02 and what's 1:42:03 not um but there's the the good side of 1:42:06 it is I'm going to have 1:42:08 hyper-personalized music hyper 1:42:09 personalized gaming Hy hyper 1:42:12 personalized business 1:42:16 interactions I'm working on the workshop 1:42:18 that I'm working on for Wednesday night 1:42:21 um the deck that I'm working on for the 1:42:24 workshop I'm putting all custom art in 1:42:26 that why cuz why 1:42:31 not you know customize stuff and it it 1:42:36 it just takes a few minutes and it and 1:42:38 you have you know this sort of fully 1:42:40 blown out really impressive looking 1:42:42 crazy ass 1:42:46 thing you know it's cuckoo it's cuckoo 1:42:50 people it's just it's just nuts it's 1:42:53 just 1:42:56 nuts you can make money with 1:43:01 ch you can make money 1:43:04 [Laughter] 1:43:08 with all right people let's get to 1:43:11 another question shall we who wants to 1:43:14 know something who wants me to Ramble On 1:43:17 incessantly about artificial 1:43:19 intelligence and machine is is it is it 1:43:21 really artificial intelligence Kyle 1:43:23 shouldn't it be more accurately called 1:43:25 machine learning yes it should but the 1:43:27 movie's called it Ai and we're going to 1:43:29 call it AI you're not fixing that is the 1:43:32 workshop virtual and in person I think 1:43:34 it's just virtual it's just uh it's 1:43:40 just um oh you can't see that it starts 1:43:44 Wednesday so this is a workshop I'm 1:43:47 putting on um in conjunction with 1:43:50 another creator named Rhonda Phillips 1:43:52 who's a creative coach and a voiceover 1:43:54 actress so it's called AI launchpads for 1:43:58 creatives um it starts on Wednesday it's 1:44:00 a zoom it's a zoom thing so it will be 1:44:03 recorded um and anyone who comes to the 1:44:07 workshop we have access to the 1:44:09 recordings I think for three months and 1:44:11 I think we're going to we're going to 1:44:12 sell access to the recordings after the 1:44:14 fact and you can either buy the there's 1:44:16 three sessions a week apart you can buy 1:44:19 them individually or you can buy all 1:44:20 three of them together together so if 1:44:21 you go to Rhonda 1:44:23 voice.com events it's got all the 1:44:26 information there so that's 1:44:28 that um it's going to be cool we're 1:44:31 doing the first night is going to be 1:44:34 um you know AI Basics and it'll be it'll 1:44:38 be you know a lot of basic stuff what 1:44:40 I'm what I'm trying to strike a balance 1:44:42 on in the workshop is 1:44:45 um having it be tactical enough that 1:44:48 it's actually usable like right now but 1:44:51 have it be Universal enough that as 1:44:53 these Technologies change and and evolve 1:44:56 that you're not like well wait I learned 1:44:58 how to use GPT 4 and now we're up to 1:45:00 gpt7 and wait they said Google's gemin 1:45:03 is better than now like like this shit's 1:45:05 going to be changing so fast so I'm 1:45:07 trying to strike a nice balance between 1:45:09 you know Hands-On and kind of 1:45:11 theoretical stuff and then Super 1:45:14 practical but you know um broad enough 1:45:17 that it's going to be usable Beyond any 1:45:19 given technology 1:45:21 Kyle we're doing 30 prompts in 30 days 1:45:24 thing on LinkedIn very cool how so what 1:45:28 what are you doing it as a contest how 1:45:30 are you doing that an that sounds really 1:45:33 cool if you give me info on it I'll I'll 1:45:36 promote it cuz that's really 1:45:40 cool that's super cool all right uh uh 1:45:43 uh uh uh uh 1:45:45 uh love the ramble yeah we call the 1:45:48 nickname for this channel is chat add 1:45:51 time for a new job I know tonius I know 1:45:55 it's it's just like it's it's crazy man 1:45:57 it's crazy it's coming crazy C 1:46:13 CA so there's that thank you very much I 1:46:16 appreciate that a challenge like 50 of 1:46:18 us oh that's super cool that's super 1:46:20 cool um what what an major gift gift 1:46:25 fundraising um is doing she set a goal 1:46:28 for herself to teach a thousand people 1:46:30 how to use 1:46:31 AI which is cool um I didn't set a goal 1:46:36 like that I'm just trying to do that I I 1:46:38 suppose trying to do the same thing but 1:46:40 it's really cool like you're taking a 1:46:41 you're taking a really cool approach to 1:46:43 it I appreciate the [ __ ] out of it can 1:46:45 you talk about the future of SEO and how 1:46:47 or if it survives hey Barbara b60 1:46:52 um I don't know that world particularly 1:46:57 well 1:47:05 but I 1:47:07 struggle well well there's a couple of 1:47:09 things I thought that I thought that 1:47:12 chat gbt and Bing and you know Microsoft 1:47:17 having chat 1:47:18 gbt I thought it would have had a bigger 1:47:20 impact on Google so so Google still 1:47:23 effectively has like a 92% market share 1:47:25 so they still effectively have a 1:47:29 monopoly their their business model is 1:47:34 is based on driving traffic to 1:47:38 websites and I fail to I fail to see a 1:47:42 future where where you have to go to 1:47:45 websites right what I talked earlier 1:47:47 about I we I think we're we're coming 1:47:49 into a hyper personalized future right 1:47:53 well that hyper-personalized future is I 1:47:55 have a question about whatever it is 1:47:58 gardening and I start learning about 1:48:00 gardening and then I have a question 1:48:02 about tomatoes and then in in learning 1:48:05 about tomatoes I learned about Tower you 1:48:09 know like 1:48:11 aeroponic Garden 1:48:13 Towers and then I'm like oh who makes 1:48:15 aeroponic Garden Towers and it tells me 1:48:18 here's the companies that make aeroponic 1:48:19 Garden Towers and I'm like oh how much 1:48:21 are they and it tells me the price and 1:48:23 I'm like oh can I just buy one and it 1:48:26 says sure here's your tracking 1:48:28 number all of that's within a chat GPT 1:48:31 like interface or it's an agent that I'm 1:48:33 interacting with I never had to go to 1:48:35 the 1:48:37 website 1:48:39 so I 1:48:42 don't I I think we might have 1:48:45 llmo which is large language model 1:48:48 optimization which is how how do you get 1:48:51 in that [ __ ] conversation if if if 1:48:53 the end user is having a tomato 1:48:57 conversation how do you get in that 1:49:00 conversation and to the extent that 1:49:02 Microsoft or Google or Apple or or 1:49:06 anyone pollutes the llms answer with too 1:49:11 much 1:49:13 injected 1:49:14 [ __ ] people won't trust it and they 1:49:17 they'll stop using it right there's too 1:49:18 much competition right now there's not a 1:49:22 consolidation so so just like Google 1:49:25 when it when it unseed Alta Vista had to 1:49:28 be better at search and then as it got 1:49:31 bigger and bigger and bigger it didn't 1:49:32 have to be better at search anymore it 1:49:34 had to be better at 1:49:35 manipulating people to use their service 1:49:38 more and more and more and more so now 1:49:41 that's at threat because of this stuff 1:49:43 but I just I do not I don't see a clear 1:49:47 future where SEO stays the same now does 1:49:50 it mean it goes away I don't think it 1:49:52 means it goes away and I I think it's 1:49:55 probably going to take a lot of years 1:49:57 for that transition to 1:49:58 happen 1:50:01 um but I kind of go back you know it's 1:50:03 funny it's funny I I oscillate wildly 1:50:06 with with Gary ve whether I'm like I'm 1:50:08 like oh wait genius oh wait no just no 1:50:12 but yes no I go back and forth a lot and 1:50:15 and he has been really consistently on 1:50:19 content for 1:50:21 years um he's also on understand 1:50:24 algorithms and do the SEO like he does 1:50:26 he does a lot he he does you know his 1:50:28 company does a lot of that 1:50:30 stuff but I think the content thing I 1:50:33 think it I think it starts to come down 1:50:36 to Content 1:50:39 into people that you trust that you 1:50:41 connect with and sources that you trust 1:50:44 and because everything's going to be 1:50:46 personalized to you so I don't have a 1:50:48 good answer for you other than I think 1:50:50 it changes 1:50:51 radically um if not goes away and just 1:50:56 becomes something 1:50:57 else we're dancing in the baby 1990s 1:51:00 phase of AI yeah exactly exactly Ted 1:51:04 looks at life this 1:51:05 is so I started this company called 1:51:09 agency.com in 1994 which was one of the 1:51:11 first digital agencies in the early days 1:51:13 of the 1:51:15 web there wasn't there wasn't anything 1:51:18 there it was just stupid web pages with 1:51:21 blue hyperlinks on it and then we 1:51:22 figured out how to put images on them 1:51:24 and then we figured out how to make them 1:51:25 animate and then flash came along and we 1:51:27 could do interactive banners 1:51:30 and and there just wasn't anything there 1:51:34 and you could kind of sort of futurecast 1:51:38 what it's going to look like when this 1:51:39 stuff is ubiquitous and it's everywhere 1:51:41 and you could kind of see you could kind 1:51:44 of see a future that looked like what we 1:51:45 have now but it took a lot of years to 1:51:48 get there with this AI stuff 1:51:51 we're Ted looks at life is right we're 1:51:53 we're in we're in that stage where it's 1:51:55 just like white pages with blue 1:51:56 hyperlinks and it's it's the the tools 1:51:59 are very very raw right now as these 1:52:02 tools get more sophisticated and they 1:52:04 get autonomous where they can take 1:52:06 actions and they can do things for 1:52:08 you like if you play with pi um the pi 1:52:12 chat app where you can talk to chat GPT 1:52:15 essentially a chat GPT like 1:52:18 thing um 1:52:22 right now you can tell it hey would you 1:52:24 email me that and it'll say sure I'll 1:52:27 email you that and then you're like 1:52:29 where's my email it's like I'm sorry I'm 1:52:31 a large language model I can't email 1:52:33 anything it's not that's not going to be 1:52:36 like that for long so so everything's 1:52:39 going to start to get connected to 1:52:40 everything else and and these things 1:52:42 that we interact with and talk to are 1:52:44 going to take actions on our 1:52:46 behalf and they're going to go out and 1:52:49 get us the information we need and bring 1:52:50 it back to us in this hyper personalized 1:52:53 way where's the website in 1:52:58 that I could choose to go to a website 1:53:04 right so I think websites will still 1:53:07 remain kind of like plays still remain 1:53:10 right why is Broadway there because the 1:53:15 experience of going to a play is 1:53:17 different than the experience of going 1:53:19 to a movie it's just kind of a niche 1:53:22 kind of thing now you can't not as many 1:53:24 people can go to a play because you 1:53:27 can't stick actors in a film re 1:53:30 container and ship it across the country 1:53:32 right now it's all digital 1:53:35 anyway so we still have 1:53:38 plays but they're kind of this 1:53:41 quaint remnant of another age and I 1:53:45 think that's what websites will be a 1:53:47 quaint remnant of another 1:53:49 age 1:53:51 and we're just going to live in this 1:53:53 increasingly 1:53:56 Dynamic personalized world that centers 1:54:00 around what each of us like social first 1:54:03 content websites become the terms of 1:54:05 service of 1:54:06 [Laughter] 1:54:08 digital yeah yeah exactly that's the 1:54:12 resource you go to to to learn all the 1:54:14 [ __ ] right yeah that's interesting I 1:54:18 think the future is Darkness because if 1:54:20 AI will get Consciousness it won't need 1:54:22 a human um that's that's a point of 1:54:28 view 1:54:30 um I think that the what what's called 1:54:33 the Frontier Model Coalition or whatever 1:54:35 the hell they came up with the the the 1:54:37 the big 1:54:38 players are are very aware of that 1:54:43 danger and I and I think they're going 1:54:44 to I think they're going to work to to 1:54:47 keep it on the rails so while that's a 1:54:50 that's a possibility I think there's 1:54:51 also a very real 1:54:53 possibility that these tools do allow us 1:54:57 to move to a 3-day work 1:54:59 week do allow us to reinvent ourselves 1:55:03 in incredibly new ways incredibly 1:55:07 quickly um and might even return us to 1:55:10 our Humanity like especially here in the 1:55:12 states we've we've really gotten to a 1:55:14 place 1:55:16 where um we're not very nice to each 1:55:19 other 1:55:22 and it's very unnecessary 1:55:25 and I think there's a Poss I I think 1:55:28 there's a future there's an there's 1:55:30 another possibility where it's not a 1:55:32 future of Darkness it's a future of 1:55:33 reconnection and reinvention and that's 1:55:36 the one I'm committed to living in 1:55:39 so um like Scotty talking to the 1:55:42 computer through the mouse websites how 1:55:44 quaint exactly oh you still have a 1:55:49 website are you still on AOL you have an 1:55:52 AOL email that's kind of cool that's 1:55:54 kind of hip now wow you got an AOL email 1:55:57 that's kind of hip 1:55:59 again you have a website oh that's cool 1:56:01 does it still work well parts of it yeah 1:56:04 yeah you know I get 1:56:10 that how's that SEO agency working for 1:56:13 you yeah we're we're getting good 1:56:15 traffic to the website we had seven 1:56:17 people show up this week 1:56:22 oh it's [ __ ] 1:56:33 depressing when I was a little girl in 1:56:35 Poland I had a 1:56:37 pony this is why I love this great 1:56:39 content tonight oh thank you very much 1:56:41 you know it's funny I don't this this 1:56:44 happened to me when I was an actor like 1:56:47 there are some nights when I feel like 1:56:49 like like tonight I just I feel low 1:56:52 energy um and so if you say you're 1:56:54 enjoying it it's great cuz I'm like I 1:56:56 don't think I'm saying 1:56:58 anything so what I've learned over the 1:57:01 years is any anything that you do like 1:57:04 this where where you know you're sort of 1:57:06 putting stuff out there it is impossible 1:57:10 for you to judge how it's going from 1:57:12 inside it's like I just learned it 1:57:15 doesn't [ __ ] matter cuz someone will 1:57:18 get something out of this I mean that's 1:57:19 something that we learned in the AI 1:57:20 Salon is that no matter how small a 1:57:23 contribution someone makes that they 1:57:25 that they think that what they're 1:57:26 contributing is really small and 1:57:27 insignificant when they share it there's 1:57:30 other people in the meeting that are 1:57:32 like oh my God mind blown and they're 1:57:35 like really so handsome shirt today 1:57:39 thank you very much got the little fancy 1:57:42 the fancy inner inner huh this is one of 1:57:45 those I think it's Robert 1:57:47 Graham yay Kyle still has a soul I don't 1:57:50 know what I was talking about but I hope 1:57:51 I 1:57:52 do I think the soul shit's important I 1:57:56 think us connecting as humans is 1:57:59 important I know it's a controversial 1:58:01 stance these days uh that's my choice 1:58:04 reconnection and reinvention like 1:58:06 Quantum versus Newtonian physics exactly 1:58:09 SEO agency ghost yeah yeah I mean I know 1:58:15 a guy right now he's got a copyrighting 1:58:18 agency and it you know what's funny 1:58:20 amazing about it is it was like he was 1:58:23 killing 1:58:24 it and they made like a self-service 1:58:27 tool and they had all these 1:58:31 copywriters and it was like overnight 1:58:34 just the phone stopped ringing and 1:58:36 people started unsubscribing from the 1:58:38 self-service thing and just [ __ ] 1:58:42 brutal I'd love to add SD to my bottle 1:58:45 comparison oh stable 1:58:47 diffusion have you tried Sam have you 1:58:50 tried um uh 1:58:52 Leonardo cuz that's built on top of 1:58:54 stable 1:58:56 diffusion I just i' just go to Leonardo 1:58:58 and just pick a pick a model that that 1:59:01 looks like in the neighborhood of what 1:59:02 you're looking 1:59:04 for do you want did you give me the um 1:59:07 are the prompts in there I could do 1:59:09 Leonardo right 1:59:16 now I think you gave me the so let me 1:59:20 show you actually you did I I can go de 1:59:22 do Leonardo right 1:59:23 now so I want to show you so so Sam Korn 1:59:26 who's on on the call 1:59:29 um did a cool demo where he took the 1:59:31 same same prompt and he did it in mid 1:59:33 Journey ideogram and Dolly 1:59:36 3 and then um and the results are are 1:59:40 are really cool so and they're kind of 1:59:42 what I would expect but it's it's it's 1:59:44 neat to see them so all right so these 1:59:47 are mid Journey images so wait so wait 1:59:49 the prompt 1:59:51 is beautiful green and blue curved 1:59:56 translucent perfume bottle with a wood 1:59:59 and gold cap with the gold lettering 2:00:02 that reads gracio g r a c IO in smaller 2:00:06 text okay do you have a preferred stable 2:00:09 diffusion platform yeah Leonardo well if 2:00:14 I I recommend Leonardo because it's just 2:00:16 a web- based front end I use automatic 2:00:18 1111 if I'm going to generate a bunch of 2:00:20 [ __ ] if I just want to knock out an 2:00:22 image I use Leonardo just cuz it's 2:00:24 easier I don't need to set up a a Google 2:00:26 collab okay so here's the mid Journey 2:00:28 images so there's there's one so a a um 2:00:34 you know curved blue and green bottle 2:00:36 with a gold and wood cap it doesn't have 2:00:39 the W prompt is specifically a 2:00:42 hypothetical marketing exercise yeah 2:00:43 that makes sense okay so that's mid 2:00:46 Journey um why there we go there's 2:00:50 another one with the letters gratio see 2:00:53 p r c a 2:00:57 gratio and there G Grio 2:01:01 Grio um it's almost a golden wood top um 2:01:06 there's another so so those were mid 2:01:08 Journey all right and then the next one 2:01:12 was ideogram and ideogram it's claimed 2:01:15 to fame is it can do text so ideogram 2:01:18 wood wood and gold top yes check blue 2:01:21 and green bottle check gracio 2:01:24 check um there's that one that's okay I 2:01:27 that's sort of says 2:01:29 gracio that says gracio it you know it's 2:01:32 not super elegant but you know kind kind 2:01:35 of in the neighborhood so ideogram is is 2:01:39 is more accurate all 2:01:41 right and 2:01:43 then here's Dolly 2:01:48 3 2:01:50 gracio wood and gold top beautiful 2:01:53 bottle beautiful shot gracio wood and 2:01:57 gold top beautiful bottle beautiful shot 2:02:01 gracio beautiful bottle wooden gold top 2:02:04 right so accurately capturing what was 2:02:07 in The Prompt so let me go grab let's go 2:02:12 do a little experiment are you I I 2:02:15 assume you're cool with this Sam yeah 2:02:18 I'll run over to 2:02:21 um what is automatic 1111 automatic 1111 2:02:26 is a um it's a web front end for stable 2:02:31 diffusion that you kind of have to 2:02:34 install using command line [ __ ] and then 2:02:37 people put them in what are called 2:02:39 Google collab notebooks where they sort 2:02:41 of write the code to make this 2:02:44 application this web application and you 2:02:47 run it in Google collab and then you go 2:02:49 to a 2:02:51 uh then you go to a uh like a website 2:02:55 and and you can play with stable 2:02:57 diffusion with with a nice front 2:02:59 end 2:03:01 um okay so here's the 2:03:03 bottles so let's grab the prompt 2:03:08 copy and then let's go to Leonardo a oh 2:03:14 look I went to a tab with Leonardo on it 2:03:16 how cool am I you're so cool kle you 2:03:19 know Kyle you're so cool 2:03:22 man all right am I in okay I'm on canvas 2:03:26 how do I get out of here here we go so 2:03:28 we're going to go AI image 2:03:31 generation uh uh 2:03:37 uh which 2:03:40 model hang on let me go back and pick a 2:03:42 model 2:03:47 here why is this not scrolling 2:03:53 there's vintage style 2:03:56 [Music] 2:04:00 photography create unique intricate 2:04:03 amulets that's a little 2:04:08 specific wonder if I can do no models 2:04:12 image 2:04:15 creation oh RPG version five okay so 2:04:19 we're going to 2:04:20 take that prompt that you said we're 2:04:24 just going to use a generic model and 2:04:26 we're going to generate let's see what 2:04:28 we 2:04:29 get what all is this so what this is is 2:04:34 Sam Sam corn set up a a prompt for a 2:04:38 marketing exercise and then tried it in 2:04:41 mid 2:04:42 Journey 2:04:44 ideogram Dolly 3 and then he said he 2:04:47 wanted to do it um 2:04:50 yes and major fundraising I do not have 2:04:53 Vision in chat GPT either and I'm bitter 2:04:57 about 2:04:58 it oh these are actually not 2:05:01 bad um didn't quite get the wood top 2:05:05 it's got It's got a piece of wood that 2:05:07 is a top is there a model for product 2:05:09 photos there might be I haven't 2:05:11 looked um it did two bottles here it it 2:05:15 actually got the text pretty pretty good 2:05:17 here they're not super sophisticated but 2:05:21 I mean these are at least in the 2:05:22 neighborhood 2:05:23 Sam that's pretty 2:05:27 surprising so this is stable diffusion 2:05:29 this is just with their rpg5 model let 2:05:32 me see what other models they have here 2:05:35 um here's stable diffusion 2.1 let's 2:05:38 generate it in stable diffusion 2:05:48 2.1 2:05:55 this software by the way this is a 2:05:57 website called 2:06:07 [Laughter] 2:06:18 leonardo.da text that's fascinating cuz 2:06:20 this they used to really suck at 2:06:26 text so they're in the 2:06:32 neighborhood you 2:06:34 know like I I would sort of put these in 2:06:37 the category of um they're interesting 2:06:41 they're somewhere in between like 2:06:42 ideogram and mid Journey right so if we 2:06:45 go back to your images like here's the 2:06:48 mid Journey one 2:06:49 ones the mid Journey ones are just like 2:06:52 more sophisticated design and they're 2:06:54 they're more 2:06:55 Arty but they're less accurate right 2:06:58 from the 2:07:00 prompt and then here's 2:07:04 ideogram right so these are much more 2:07:06 simple but the words are 2:07:10 right so this is kind of more like 2:07:12 stable defusion quality-wise and then 2:07:15 Dolly 3 is actually really sophisticated 2:07:18 I feel like the lighting and 2:07:20 the the tones and gradations on the on 2:07:24 the dolly 3 things are 2:07:27 good and then 2:07:30 here's stable 2:07:36 diffusion I mean you 2:07:39 know that's that's a it's a really 2:07:42 fascinating exercise and and we did we 2:07:45 did 2:07:46 um we we did a a 2:07:49 we did a similar exercise with the 2:07:51 language models about have having it 2:07:53 write a joke across the different models 2:07:56 I think that 2:07:57 idea I think that every month or two we 2:08:02 should all um just use the same prompt 2:08:06 in a bunch of different tools and just 2:08:08 see what we get and just see how they're 2:08:10 evolving cuz I I feel like stable 2:08:12 diffusion has evolved since the last 2:08:14 time I've used it a 2:08:16 lot and oh his magic thank you Dragon 2:08:19 fly Alchemy it's lovely oh you've 2:08:20 reached level 16 level 16 oh you know 2:08:22 what happens at level 16 don't you 2:08:25 wouldn't you others like to know level 2:08:27 16 it's a hilarious level it's a 2:08:30 hilarious level it's 2:08:33 fantastic 2:08:38 um ideogram is Walgreen's cologne and 2:08:41 Leonardo is Bergdorf 2:08:46 Goodman that's good 2:08:49 that's good ideogram was totally 2:08:52 Walgreen Walgreens 2:08:56 cologne that's 2:08:59 hilarious oh oh thank you for the 2:09:02 lemonade it was spiked you know oh 2:09:05 reached level 20 Level 20 you know it 2:09:09 happens at level 20 don't you you can 2:09:11 make money 2:09:12 with you don't make money before level 2:09:15 20 I don't know if any of you knew this 2:09:18 you have to get to level 2:09:20 20 you're so 2:09:23 cute level 2:09:27 four you think that's living try level 2:09:31 20 Winston thank you for the hearty 2:09:37 heart all right I got to go I'm getting 2:09:40 crispy people I'm getting crispy crispy 2:09:42 crispy I'm a crisy critter you know what 2:09:43 I'm saying you know what I'm saying yeah 2:09:47 I hit him a bit of the ear a bit of the 2:09:52 ear what all is this that's what he 2:09:59 [Music] 2:10:02 said oh dragonfly Alchemy I fumble 2:10:05 through the art apps I don't prompt them 2:10:07 well at all okay I'm going to give you a 2:10:09 gift dragonfly Alchemy I'm going to give 2:10:10 you a gift 2:10:11 tonight so I think I've done this before 2:10:15 but maybe I haven't been 2:10:17 here 2:10:19 there are so there there's a couple of 2:10:21 ways you can do this you can do it just 2:10:23 within chat GPT just have chat GPT write 2:10:25 your prompt for you but there are also 2:10:29 if you go to po.com 2:10:34 po.com 2:10:36 all right here we are at po.com po has 2:10:40 all these robots these 2:10:43 Bots and look here's a stable diffusion 2:10:46 bot so I can click on on that and I go 2:10:50 in and I can say I can just paste in 2:10:52 Sam's prompt actually you know what 2:10:54 let's go do this right now so we're 2:10:55 using the stable diffusion model so we 2:10:57 got Sam's prompt here so his prompt 2:11:00 beautiful green and blue curved 2:11:01 translucent perfume bottle with a wooden 2:11:03 gold cap with gold lettering that reads 2:11:05 gratio and smaller text so I put it into 2:11:08 the stable diffusion bot I hit 2:11:12 return oh it's actually oh this is 2:11:14 something different it's actually 2:11:16 generating the image this this this is 2:11:18 not what I thought it did hey here's a 2:11:20 new thing po can generate images now I 2:11:23 had no [ __ ] 2:11:24 idea there you go look we got more 2:11:27 gratio did it just do one I think it 2:11:29 just did one okay that's kind of 2:11:33 cool let me go 2:11:36 back go to PO homepage so that generates 2:11:40 images okay mid Journey let me see if I 2:11:43 can find a stable diffusion one let me 2:11:45 how do I search here explore 2:11:49 Search bot 2:11:53 stable 2:12:01 defusion all right here's stable 2:12:04 diffusion 2:12:08 three oh this one we got to 2:12:11 use oh this is great so so stable Diffy 2:12:15 is a bot it's a prompt generator for 2:12:17 stable diffusion based on chat GPT and 2:12:20 customized by Turtle 2:12:22 AI by Turtles AI turtles ai.com so this 2:12:28 is a turtle this is a turtle based tool 2:12:30 so we're going to take Sam's prompt 2:12:32 we're going to put it in here should 2:12:33 rewrite it for us now okay stable stable 2:12:37 diffusion prompt Rewritten mesmerizing 2:12:40 perfume bottle with made of translucent 2:12:42 glass graceful curve adorned with wooden 2:12:44 gold cap the bottle features Exquisite 2:12:46 gold lettering that reads gracio and 2:12:48 elegant smaller text the photo is set oh 2:12:52 see what they're doing here with the 2:12:54 with the numbers those are waiting so 2:12:58 they're actually waiting different parts 2:13:00 of the um of the prompt here which is 2:13:04 interesting the photo is set in a softly 2:13:07 lit luxurious dressing room with warm 2:13:09 sunl sunlight streaming through the 2:13:11 sheer curtains creating a gentle glow 2:13:14 the scene exudes an aura of 2:13:16 sophistication this might be too fancy 2:13:18 for what Sam was trying to do but 2:13:20 whatever captured using vintage film 2:13:23 camera the photo showcases the bottles 2:13:25 delicate details and the blah blah blah 2:13:28 it's got some artists and uh juxtaposing 2:13:32 artists Salvador Dolly and Coco Chanel 2:13:35 that's actually pretty good all right so 2:13:37 let's take this over to 2:13:41 Leonardo where is my Leonardo there it 2:13:43 is okay I'm going to close this so we 2:13:46 still got our stable diffusion 2 .1 so 2:13:49 we paste in that big thing that was 2:13:52 generated at Po and let's see let's see 2:13:55 what we 2:13:57 get let's see what we get get get get 2:14:01 get get get get 2:14:04 get 2:14:06 yeah hey I thought this ended I know I 2:14:09 was going to leave but I 2:14:11 didn't I'm like a 2:14:13 [Laughter] 2:14:17 crackhead oh yeah I'm a crackhead 2:14:20 remember that from what was that from it 2:14:21 was it was it oh no it wasn't Pulp 2:14:24 Fiction it was it was uh oh [ __ ] it was 2:14:27 a uh [ __ ] Lee 2:14:30 movie and it was it was Samuel Jackson 2:14:34 when he was really skinny going I'm a 2:14:37 crackhead I'm a 2:14:39 crackhead all right so we got gracio we 2:14:42 didn't get the green we lost the green 2:14:46 entirely sort of got gracio sort of got 2:14:51 gracio I think Sam's simple prompt was 2:14:54 better I mean it's it's a more 2:14:56 sophisticated location right the the 2:14:59 wispy windows and the light streaming 2:15:01 through is nice but we lost the green 2:15:04 did it was that in the prompt a 2:15:07 mesmerizing perfume 2:15:10 bottle made with made of translucent oh 2:15:13 it just says translucent glass so let's 2:15:15 do green and blue BL glass let's add 2:15:20 that back in because I feel like that's 2:15:23 important to what we were talking about 2:15:25 the green and the blue was 2:15:28 important and we got no green and we got 2:15:31 no blue so let's go get some of 2:15:47 that 2:15:50 yeah that's looking 2:15:51 better that's looking a little more 2:15:56 better didn't capture the wood on the 2:16:00 cap but it might have gotten it might 2:16:01 have changed the prompt too much so so 2:16:03 anyway so the the thing dragonfly is you 2:16:07 know use a tool like oh that's cool it 2:16:09 added Chanel down here that's really 2:16:11 funny cuz it said Coco Chanel was one of 2:16:13 the artists it's not a very Chanel like 2:16:15 bottle but that's all right um 2:16:19 yeah pretty slick little exercise 2:16:23 um you know use tools like that like the 2:16:26 the PO tool to expand the prompt and 2:16:30 whether or not you end up using that 2:16:31 prompt what those tools do for me is 2:16:33 they kind of remind me oh right I can 2:16:36 put in some sophisticated things like 2:16:38 camera lenses and and lighting 2:16:40 descriptions and things like that 2:16:43 YouTuber Matt vid Pro just posted an ex 2:16:46 he 2:16:47 got 2:16:48 an X he got on chat GPT Dolly 3 what do 2:16:51 you mean an X oh posted on X he got chat 2:16:56 GPT Dolly 3 that [ __ ] 2:17:02 really retro Punk you're going to make 2:17:04 me 2:17:06 cry 2:17:12 again I'm going to go I'm going to take 2:17:15 my Tik Tok and go oh 2:17:18 [Laughter] 2:17:23 sorry you can make 2:17:26 money oh all right well hopefully 2:17:30 sometime this week Sam relents and gives 2:17:33 me my features um let's do our little 2:17:36 Romper Room here yeah exactly start 2:17:39 presenting Turtles thank you Clint for 2:17:41 calling the Irregulars to 2:17:44 order um all right so let's see we got a 2:17:48 Amelio's wife in here cuno good to see 2:17:50 you tonight Barbara b60 thanks for being 2:17:53 in here Ted looks at life 2:17:55 lunatick Sam
