Description

FEED YOUR PROMPT. What, you ask? Feed it you, it will change everything. Kyle Shannon discusses his "epiphany" regarding AI, emphasizing that users should focus on maximizing their own potential through AI rather than simply trying to get the most out of the technology itself. He believes that AI amplifies the user's intent and context, making it crucial to feed the "prompt hole" with rich personal input for better results. He also touches on the human element within AI, arguing against the notion that it lacks a soul, suggesting that it represents the collective intelligence of humanity. Beyond AI, Kyle shares community updates, including a children's book contest featuring a submission by Vicki Baptiste, created entirely with ChatGPT. He also highlights 11 Labs' new V3 text-to-speech model, showcasing its impressive capabilities and the potential for creating dynamic conversations between multiple speakers. He encourages viewers to join upcoming events like office hours and a website-building workshop hosted by Vicki. 🎙️ New to streaming or looking to level up? 0:16 10,000 words swam around my head. A
0:20 million more in books written beneath my
0:23 bed.
0:24 [Music]
0:28 Well, I wrote a red demo when searching
0:32 in the swamps. Still can't find how to
0:35 hold my hands.
0:41 And I know you need me in the next room
0:44 over. I'm stuck in here home paralyzed.
0:50 [Music]
0:53 For months I got myself in ruts. Too
0:56 much time spinning mirrors framed in
0:59 yellow
1:00 [Music]
1:04 walls. Ain't it like most people are no
1:08 different? Like talk on things we don't
1:10 know
1:15 about. Ain't it like most people? I'm no
1:19 different. Like to talk on things we
1:21 don't know about.
1:25 [Music]
1:42 Oh, good people. Good people. I'm back
1:44 from a big CEO dinner. I made a I made a
1:47 tactical error tonight.
1:50 So, normally when I go to this CEO
1:52 dinner, they got like crappy dry taco
1:54 meat and [ __ ] like that. Tonight, they
1:57 went on ahead and they had chicken mac
2:00 and cheese and spaghetti with meat sauce
2:03 and garlic knots and I just I [ __ ] I
2:06 went nuts and and I'm in a some sort of
2:10 fantastical diabetic crash right now.
2:12 I'm
2:17 like, so so chances are good. This is
2:21 going to be an unremarkable evening and
2:24 it might not last that long, but you
2:26 know, I figured I'd step in and say hi.
2:29 [Music]
2:44 Well, it's not simple to
2:46 [Music]
2:48 say to most
2:51 days. I don't recognize me that these
2:55 shoes and this a place and its
3:00 patrons taking more than I gave
3:05 them. It's not easy to know.
3:10 I'm not anything like I used to be.
3:14 Although it's true, I was never
3:18 attention sweet center. I still remember
3:22 that
3:23 girl. She's
3:25 imperfect, but she
3:28 tries. She is good, but she
3:33 lies. She is hard on herself.
3:38 She is broken, but won't ask for
3:42 help. She is messy, but she's
3:47 kind. She's
3:49 lonely most of the time. She's all of
3:53 this mixed up and baked. Beautiful
3:58 pie. She's gone, but she used to be
4:02 mine.
4:04 [Music]
4:07 Oh man. Uh so so yeah, so I'm I'm
4:11 exhausted. I'm So So there's that.
4:14 There's that. Uh we got some folks
4:15 sharing the live. Thank you for that.
4:17 We'll flip the uh flip the cameras
4:21 here. Pull up the black bar so tick
4:24 tockers can read what the hell they're
4:26 writing. Someone Eltoyo Troyo just sent
4:29 a gift. Thank you for that gift. Anyone
4:31 sending gifts, much appreciated. Thank
4:33 you.
4:41 Ah.
4:42 Um, so this this this epiphany that I
4:46 had, for those of you that are new here,
4:48 my name is Kyle Shannon. A lot of times
4:51 what I'll do, I'll talk as if I'm just
4:53 continuing a conversation because for
4:55 the most part this channel is just like
4:57 one long runon sentence and there's a
5:00 lot of people that come here night after
5:01 night. So, if I just start talking in
5:03 the middle of a story, a lot of the
5:06 people like, "Yeah, we know what he's
5:07 talking about." They take notes. They're
5:09 they're probably like recording these
5:11 things, running them through chat, JBD,
5:13 pulling out the most important salient
5:16 comments. Yeah, I whatever. It's it's
5:18 they got a whole life. This the people
5:20 that come here night after night. But if
5:22 you're new here, welcome. So, just if if
5:25 it feels like you don't know what the
5:27 hell I'm talking about, just put it in
5:28 the comments. What the hell is he
5:30 talking about? They'll tell you. They'll
5:31 catch you up.
5:32 Anyway, so I had this big epiphany about
5:36 AI and the big
5:38 epiphany Tik Tok
5:41 pin. This has been a two-year
5:43 conversation for me. I know. Sorry,
5:45 Source Camp. It's got to be exhausting,
5:48 but but I'm glad you're in the
5:49 conversation. I really am. You're you're
5:51 uh you're one of the good ones.
5:53 [Music]
5:55 Um, so this epiphany that I
5:58 had, you got your prompt, the prompt
6:01 hole. We call it the prompt hole. That's
6:03 the technical term for it, right? The
6:05 prompt hole is hungry. And you got to
6:08 feed your prompt hole. You got to feed
6:09 feed the prompt. Feed your
6:12 prompt. And then the question and and it
6:15 it'll it'll eat anything, right? So if
6:18 you give it a shitty prompt, it'll give
6:19 you a shitty answer. You give it a lazy
6:21 prompt, it'll give you a lazy answer. So
6:23 the question starts to become, what do
6:25 you feed your
6:27 prompt? And if you feed your prompt,
6:32 you what ends up happening
6:35 is the AI tool, no matter which one it
6:38 is, whether it's a large language model
6:40 or a music tool or a video tool or a
6:42 picture tool, the more of you you
6:46 infuse, the more of you you feed into
6:49 your
6:51 prompt, the better it
6:54 gets. Because what it does is it
6:57 actually takes
7:00 your I was going to say essence, but
7:03 that sounds mamby pami. It takes it
7:05 takes your intent and it amplifies it.
7:10 And so the more you can get your
7:12 context, your ideas, your frustrations,
7:15 your questions into that thing, the
7:18 better it
7:19 gets, the more powerful it gets. The
7:22 more personally electrifying AI gets. If
7:26 you just try to use it like a fancy
7:28 Google search, it's going to act like a
7:30 fancy Google search. It's going to be
7:31 shitty. So feed your prompt.
7:36 you. And that that led to this this
7:39 realization
7:41 that a lot of times we're asking the
7:43 wrong question. A lot of times we're
7:46 asking the question, how do I get the
7:48 most out of
7:49 AI? It's not the right
7:52 question. If you want to transform
7:54 yourself, if you want to take your
7:57 AI experience to like a whole another
7:59 level, ask yourself this question.
8:03 How can I get the most out of myself
8:06 with
8:08 AI? Not how can I get the most out of
8:12 AI. How can I get the most out of myself
8:15 with AI? It changes
8:18 everything. Oh no, Khaki lost her dog
8:21 yesterday. I'm so
8:25 sorry. Wow. 18 and a half years. That's
8:28 absolutely crazy.
8:30 We
8:31 had our first two labs we had for 17
8:35 years and that's for labs. That's really
8:37 long. But man, it's [ __ ]
8:40 heartbreaking. Heartbreaking.
8:42 So
8:46 a sad. That
8:49 sucks. That
8:53 sucks. Oh, it was today. I'm sorry,
8:56 Khaki. That's just awful.
9:02 [Music]
9:09 Joker 15ish for my lab mix.
9:12 [Music]
9:26 Yeah. Yeah. seep in gratitude for the
9:28 love for all the all that she gave us.
9:30 That's the thing about dogs, man. They
9:32 are just pure [ __ ] love machines,
9:35 aren't they? They're just they're just
9:38 like, "Hey, you're home. [ __ ] far
9:40 out. I didn't think you were coming
9:42 back. You came back. You know, you're
9:44 the best, right, man?" Such [ __ ]
9:47 dogs. They are just They're just
9:49 awesome. They're like, "Hey, you." Oh
9:52 god, man. How you been? It's good. I was
9:55 just in the other room. I know. But it's
9:56 so good you now you're
10:03 here. Oh, lordy lordy lordy. Almost
10:07 three years. Haven't heard a period yet.
10:10 So many commas. Yeah, we don't
10:13 listen in life. What's more important is
10:17 starting sentences than ending them. You
10:20 don't need to you don't need to end
10:22 thoughts. You don't need to end
10:24 sentences. is there's so many
10:25 expectations. They're going to finish a
10:27 sentence. Don't do that. Don't Don't
10:29 give into the man, the punctuation
10:34 man. Oh, lordy, lordy, lordy. All right,
10:38 let's see. Dogs are the absolute best.
10:40 They really are. They are really the
10:43 best. I'll have a blog post about it,
10:46 I'm sure. and probably a song khaki and
10:51 image tributes and
10:55 videos. I mean, you can do all that
10:57 stuff now. You can kind of go nuts if
10:58 you want to if you want to do, you know,
11:00 tributes and thoughts and just explore.
11:03 You
11:06 know, what a remarkable time we live in.
11:09 An absolute remarkable time.
11:12 [Music]
11:33 Oh man.
11:36 [Music]
11:50 Some members have used AI to cope with
11:52 similar situations, shared songs, images
11:55 in the salon. Yeah, you could do that.
11:57 Feel free to I mean, you know what the
11:58 the nice thing is about the salon,
12:00 khaki, is you've got you've got enough
12:02 friends in here that well, I mean,
12:04 obviously by the comments here in the
12:05 Tik Tok, but if you share things about
12:08 your puffer in the salon, you know, do
12:12 it. It's life,
12:14 [Music]
12:22 man. So funny. I was talking talking to
12:24 some people tonight
12:27 this this older gentleman who's the
12:29 father of of a guy that I'm really fond
12:31 of at the the CEO dinner I go to and he
12:35 was just like I've used chat GBT but it
12:37 you know it doesn't have a soul it
12:39 doesn't have can't can't tap into
12:43 humanity and I was like I completely
12:45 disagree he's like convince
12:47 me and I told him you know my my
12:50 epiphany around you know collective
12:52 intelligence that that AI is the
12:54 collective intelligence of humanity that
12:56 that statement that kind of opened it up
12:59 to me that we're actually collaborating
13:01 with all the people that came before
13:03 us. So I think there's actually deep
13:06 humanity in it. And I this whole idea of
13:08 you know feed your prompt with
13:12 you is an it's it's a way to amplify
13:15 yourself. And then I think about a
13:17 community like this community and like
13:19 the AI salon community which while
13:21 they're related they're they're they're
13:22 very different things but you
13:26 know the purpose of that community while
13:29 it's tied to AI and while it's it's
13:32 about
13:34 us exploring what's going on with all
13:36 these technologies it's ultimately about
13:39 us all building
13:42 relationships and then as one of us
13:44 figures something out, the other ones
13:46 get to go along for the ride. But but it
13:48 really is about building the
13:50 relationships. And so there's a lot of
13:52 humanity in in this group, in the salon,
13:56 in AI, if you use it right. Right. If
13:58 you treat it as an extension of
14:00 humanity, it becomes this humanity
14:02 amplifier. And so yeah, I would
14:04 encourage you to do that. Khaki, that
14:06 would be great. Trevor Hook just subbed
14:09 for the mastermind. Am I smarter now?
14:11 You're absolutely smarter. jump into the
14:14 mastermind. We're uh so Leah and I
14:16 tomorrow we're doing um a founder
14:20 hangout um in the salon for anyone
14:22 that's part of the mastermind um every
14:25 Friday uh at 2 Eastern, noon Mountain.
14:29 Um so we're going to be hanging out
14:31 there tomorrow. So yeah, so you'll be
14:35 you're smarter now and then you come
14:36 hang out with me. Oh, here's the other
14:41 thing. Because most of the clubs are now
14:45 part of the mastermind, if you subscribe
14:47 to the mastermind, you still have to
14:50 rejoin the clubs that you want to join.
14:53 So, if you were part of the uh you know,
14:56 life hacks with with Brandon and Claire,
14:59 um when however it happened when when we
15:04 flipped those spaces to the mastermind
15:06 spaces, it basically severed all the
15:09 relationships with the previous members.
15:11 So, you have to resubscribe to clubs.
15:13 So, if you're part of mastermind, go
15:15 down through the clubs and join join the
15:17 ones that you want to be a part of
15:18 because you're not automatically in
15:20 there. That's not obvious,
15:21 unfortunately.
15:24 And we
15:25 didn't part of the challenge with using
15:28 thirdparty software like we are to
15:30 manage a community is you don't always
15:33 quite anticipate how the software is
15:35 going to behave. It's a little janky
15:37 like AI. It's a little janky.
15:42 So dogs have all of our virtues with
15:44 none of our flaws except maybe a little
15:46 too much love of food. Yeah, exactly.
15:49 That's it. Oh, wait. Actually, no. If
15:51 you
15:52 join the mastermind, you're
15:54 automatically in
15:57 clubs. You're in all mastermind
16:01 spaces. All right. I don't know.
16:03 Brandon's getting ready to type. I don't
16:05 know if that's true. It might be
16:07 true, but I don't know. Anyway, you're
16:12 you have you have
16:15 access, but you're not subscribe to the
16:18 space. So, like if the space goes live,
16:21 Vicki, the previous members won't get
16:24 notified because they haven't subscribed
16:25 to that space. So, it's the
16:27 subscription. It's the It's I don't
16:29 know. Whatever. It's whatever you got to
16:32 do to be a part of the space.
16:40 [Music]
16:47 My goal is to love myself how my dogs
16:50 loved me. Oh my god. Can you
16:52 imagine if we as a
16:57 species like actually learned that from
17:04 dogs that you know you're going you're
17:07 going to go into a little shame spiral.
17:10 You're going into a little
17:11 self-loathing, a little negative, you
17:13 know, reinforcement, ne negative imagery
17:15 on yourself and you just sort of
17:17 immediately go, I'm just going to treat
17:18 myself like a dog. Hey, dude, you're the
17:21 best. Yeah, that would be that would
17:23 change the world if we could act like
17:25 dogs treat us. Treat ourselves like dogs
17:27 treat
17:29 us, but it's paid, right? Yeah, the
17:31 mastermind is paid. Yep. But it's for
17:33 the balance of 2025, it's uh 20 bucks a
17:37 month. And if listen, if you're if you
17:41 can't afford it um and you're going
17:43 through some stuff, reach out to either
17:45 Vicki or myself or Leah. Um and we're
17:49 doing uh scholarships for those that
17:51 want to be a part of it that can't be
17:53 for for financial reasons. So reach out
17:57 [Music]
18:28 [Music]
18:33 All right, let's go. Let's go look at
18:34 some things. There's a couple of new
18:36 things out. Um, one of them,
18:44 so about a year and a half ago at
18:47 StoryVine, we we started selling video
18:50 personas, right? So, creating fictitious
18:53 people, creating an image of them,
18:55 designing a voice for them, turning them
18:56 into animated videos.
19:00 Um, when we started that, there were no
19:03 voice models that were good enough that
19:05 you could use text to speech. They just
19:07 didn't sound
19:08 real. So, the first batch of them that
19:11 we delivered to
19:12 customers, I would do the acting and
19:15 then I would do a voice swap using 11
19:17 Labs, right? Because 11 Labs texttospech
19:20 model wasn't good enough. None of them
19:22 were good enough. And then I don't know
19:24 two months ago, maybe three months ago,
19:26 this this site came out came out called
19:29 Cartisia.ai
19:32 um which does it's like 11 Labs, but no
19:34 one's heard of it, but it's really good.
19:36 And so that was the first texttospech
19:40 model that came out that was good enough
19:42 that I could do these these avatars
19:44 without having to doing the without
19:46 having to do the acting myself and then
19:48 swapping out the voice. And so today, 11
19:52 Labs introduced V3, the the alpha of
19:56 their new uh texttospech model. Uh, and
19:59 it looks pretty flipping impressive. So,
20:01 I thought it might be fun to go take a
20:03 look. I'm heading out a bit early
20:04 tonight. Big presentation in the
20:06 morning. I'm not going to last long,
20:07 Source Camp, so you're not going to miss
20:09 much because I uh I
20:12 overpasted I overindexed on the the
20:15 pasta at the CEO dinner tonight. So, I'm
20:17 just like
20:20 I can't keep my head
20:22 [Laughter]
20:25 up. Oh man.
20:28 [Music]
20:34 Okay. Meet 11 V3, the most expressive
20:38 text to speech
20:41 model. That's the scent of freedom and
20:45 just a hint of mutiny.
20:49 Now grab your cutlasses, stow your fear.
20:52 Tonight we dine like kings or we sink
20:57 like legends.
21:01 Hey, Chris. Knock knock.
21:04 I'm not doing this again. Come on, M.
21:07 Please. I promise you'll love this one.
21:10 Nope. No. No. No. Never again. The last
21:13 10 weren't funny. The next 10 won't be
21:15 funny. You're not funny. And you never
21:17 will be. How many 11 Labs engineers does
21:20 it take to screw in a light bulb?
21:26 Oh my god. I'm going home. All right,
21:30 that's not bad.
21:33 We're off under the lights here for this
21:34 semi-final clash. The stadium buzzing
21:36 with anticipation. 11 Labs United in
21:39 their iconic black and white shirts
21:41 pushing forward with intent straight
21:42 from the opening whistle. Driving down
21:44 the wing, pace to Bernie. He skips past
21:46 one. skips past two. Oh, this is
21:48 beautiful. One-on-one with the fullback.
21:50 Cuts inside. Oh, that's a lovely bit of
21:52 footwork. And goal. Oh my goodness,
21:55 they've done it again. Yeah, that's
21:58 pretty something.
22:00 Okay, so like I finally beat level 42 of
22:02 that game I said I'd quit like a month
22:04 ago. And then for the final big scary
22:07 mega boss, it's just like some cute
22:10 little bunny
22:12 rabbit. I just couldn't do it.
22:15 It was so
22:18 cute. Okay, so I wonder so all these
22:21 things like laugh, giggle, hysterical,
22:23 laughing. I wonder if that's a set list
22:25 of those or you can put anything in
22:27 there. Tik Tok pin. Let's
22:30 see. It's pretty cool. If I had it,
22:32 greet my neighbor, they would have no
22:34 idea what the [ __ ] was going on. Today I
22:36 introduced chat GPT to my friend and
22:38 he's impressed and he's using the free
22:40 version. Yeah, it's it
22:43 Listen, don't forget if you've been
22:45 coming to this channel for a while,
22:47 people who've never seen Chat GPT are
22:50 still blown away that it can write a
22:53 poem, right? That you can go write a
22:56 poem about a pizza and it'll vomit out a
22:58 poem. That still blows people who
23:00 haven't seen this stuff away. So, don't
23:02 don't forget as you show people this,
23:04 we're
23:06 we're we we've got we've got some
23:08 bridges to build to catch people up to
23:10 where we are.
23:14 Um, I think archetypal architects
23:17 writing some more stories here. Rolling
23:18 around like a newborn centaur. Body can
23:21 run, can't hold up the
23:25 torso. Oh, man. All right. What is this
23:29 now? We're We're looking at 11 Labs new
23:31 V3 model. Well, we're listening
23:33 listening to it. It's their new
23:35 texttospech model. So, I was thinking we
23:37 could test our new timing features.
23:40 Exactly. How did you know what you were
23:42 thinking? Lucky guess. Sorry. Go ahead.
23:45 Okay. So, if we both try to talk at the
23:47 same time, we'll probably crash the
23:49 system. Wait, are we crashing? I can't
23:51 tell if this is a feature or a bug. Did
23:53 I just cut you off again? Yes, but
23:56 honestly, this is kind of fun. race you
23:59 to the next sentence. We're definitely
24:01 going to break something.
24:06 Interesting. Are the open smell listened
24:11 to that one earlier. Oh, here we go. So,
24:13 we can
24:15 play. So, two speakers have a
24:17 conversation. Liam, have you tried the
24:19 new 11 Labs V3?
24:22 All right. So, curiously,
24:25 oops. Wait, can I edit this?
24:36 Yes. Oh, you can't copy all this. That's
24:39 [ __ ]
24:44 up. These are like
24:51 objects. It's a demo. You're not signed
24:54 in. Yeah, I know. But even if it's a
24:57 demo, they should let you do something.
24:59 Control the emotion with audio
25:02 tags. Create controllable expressive
25:05 speech layered with audio events.
25:07 Immersive
25:12 soundsscapes. Generate dynamic
25:14 conversations between multiple
25:16 speakers. Oh, add speaker.
25:20 Cool. Human-like speeches in 70
25:22 languages.
25:27 V3 multiple speakers.
25:30 Yes. Audio tag
25:34 support. Languages
25:37 70. How does the 11 V3 80% discount
25:41 work? It's 80% off until the end of June
25:46 for self-s serve users through the
25:49 UI. All right. So, you get three weeks
25:52 of 80% off.
25:53 That's
25:55 whatever.
25:56 [Music]
25:58 Um, all right. That's
26:01 it.
26:03 Huh. Fascinating. All right. That's
26:06 something to play with if you're uh if
26:08 you're needing to make
26:09 voices. Might be worth
26:16 playing. Who's got any questions? Who's
26:19 got any thoughts?
26:37 Let's see. We could do that.
26:41 So, one of the cool things is um ChatPT
26:48 is doing a children's book
26:51 contest and this is a book that our own
26:56 Vicky Baptiste made and submitted which
26:59 I think is really really
27:03 good. And it's got a turtle in it so it
27:06 can't be all bad. How nice is that?
27:12 [Music]
27:19 So Vicki, did you do these pages? Is the
27:21 typography here done in chat GPT or was
27:24 it done in like Canvas or something like
27:30 that? I started using your project
27:32 cardboard thing. Seems like it may be
27:34 really helpful get for getting me
27:35 organized. Great. I actually talked to
27:38 someone tonight that said they've been
27:39 using it. Um I don't know how many
27:41 people are using it. The whole thing is
27:43 chat GPT. Wow. The typography is really
27:46 good. Like it looks it looks nice. It
27:50 looks Although it's weird that there's
27:53 one where it put the text over the dark
27:54 tree,
27:55 but it's really
28:02 good. All right. You want to read it?
28:04 We'll read it.
28:06 Are you okay with me reading this,
28:10 Vicki? Adobe AI is bad for consistent
28:13 characters. Adobe AI is bad for a lot of
28:16 stuff. It's what it's good for is it
28:18 hasn't been trained on, you know,
28:20 copywritten work, but because of that,
28:22 it's not good. All right. The Path of
28:24 Pebbles, a quiet journey with Mina and
28:26 Mr.
28:28 Turtle. In a land where the mountains
28:30 hummed and the clouds swirled like
28:32 whispered secrets, a curious girl named
28:34 Mina set out on a journey. At her side
28:37 walked Master Turtle, old and wise, with
28:40 stories hidden in every wrinkle of his
28:42 shell. Where are we going? Mina asked.
28:45 To see what we find, said Master Turtle.
28:49 And find what we don't seek. Very wise,
28:52 Master Turtle.
28:54 The path curved through cotton candy
28:56 meadows and glowing mushrooms. Mina
28:58 skipped ahead, chasing a floating pedal.
29:01 "Slow is steady, steady is
29:05 strong." "Further down the road, they
29:08 met a fox juggling leaves in the air."
29:10 "Why do you juggle?" Mina asked. "To
29:12 keep balance," said the fox with a wink.
29:15 "Even when the wind comes." Mr. Turtle
29:17 nodded. "The wind teaches us to move,
29:20 not to fall.
29:24 They came to a quiet stream where a frog
29:26 sat watching the ripples. "Why do you
29:29 sit so still?" Mina asked. "To feel the
29:32 world moving, "Ribbit," the frog
29:35 whispered. "Stillness lets me hear it
29:37 all," Mr. Turtle smiled. "Still water
29:40 show the sky most
29:43 clearly." "Turtle starting to bug
29:47 me." Just past the stream, a squirrel
29:50 skip by, scattering nuts in every
29:51 direction. Why are you in such a hurry?
29:53 Mina Mina called. To prepare, shouted
29:56 the squirrel. Winter always comes too
29:58 soon. Master Turtle chuckled. Yes, but
30:01 rushing won't make it slower or
30:06 sweeter. They reached the quiet hill
30:08 where the world seemed to breathe. Mina
30:10 lay on the grass watching the sky change
30:12 colors. "Is this the end?" she asked.
30:14 "No," he said. "It's a pause. Pauses are
30:19 sacred, too."
30:21 As evening settled in, fireflies
30:23 flickered like stars come down to play.
30:25 Mina spun slowly, wide arms wide. It's
30:29 like the sky is dancing with us. Master
30:32 Turtle watched. When we glow from
30:34 within, we recognize the light around
30:37 us. The sky turned deep and dreamy,
30:40 stars blinking hello. Mina closed her
30:42 eyes and whispered, "I like this
30:44 journey." Master Turtle smiled, too.
30:47 "The journey liked you, too."
30:50 As they drifted into quiet, the world
30:53 held its breath with them. No need to
30:55 rush, no need to know. Just one small
30:58 girl, one old turtle, and a path that
31:02 always
31:03 continues. A, that's so sweet. That is
31:07 so
31:08 sweet. That's awesome.
31:12 Um, Ann Murphy, I was talking to Ann
31:14 Murphy today. Um, we had our uh we had
31:18 our our podcast yesterday and then today
31:20 was the Kim Kimberly Offford's uh film
31:23 festival, her AI film festival and and
31:27 she'd watched like 13 of them or
31:29 something like that. And she said one of
31:31 the things they all had in common is
31:32 they tended to all have kind of a dark
31:35 dystopian kind of vibe to them and the
31:38 stories tended to be kind of sad. And uh
31:41 I was curious about that. I was curious
31:43 about why that was the case. Um, it
31:47 might have just been the the nature of
31:48 the audience that Kimberly Offford has.
31:51 It it might just be One of the things
31:53 that that I notice with generating
31:57 images that are going to be cinematic is
31:59 the darker, more broody [ __ ] tends to
32:02 cover the jankiness of the AI. So maybe
32:05 there's just something where darker
32:08 dystopian stuff looks better and that's
32:10 why people are going with it. I used
32:12 Adobe Illustrator's AI to make a
32:14 coloring book. My mother
32:17 criticized it. Oh, the historical
32:20 accuracy. Well, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
32:24 Especially if you're using Adobe. But
32:26 but even anything where you're doing
32:28 accuracy. Yeah. I would I would write it
32:31 first, check the accuracy, and then go
32:33 make the images for it.
32:40 I like the Ferris Buer smuggling in for
32:43 a bedtime story from Kyle. Oh, I feel
32:46 like Ferris
32:47 Beller snugging in with a bedtime story
32:50 from Kyle. Yeah, I'm I'm exhausted. I'm
32:52 whipped. I think what we're going to do,
32:53 let's see, YouTube. What? Let's see.
32:57 That book has less errors than my latest
33:00 salon email blast. That's
33:02 awesome.
33:04 Producer Brandon also has a a book entry
33:07 in the contest. Is the entry on Discord?
33:10 Yes, the entries are on Discord. The the
33:13 Chat GPT's Discord channel or I guess
33:15 open AIS. Is it open AIS or chat GPTs,
33:22 guys? Open AIS. Okay. Open AI's Discord.
33:25 And how long is the contest going on? Do
33:27 you know when the deadline is?
33:37 mid mid June. All right. So, we're June
33:40 5th. All right.
33:42 Listen, what's today? Thursday. So,
33:45 tomorrow we got office hours at 11:00
33:47 a.m. Come to office hours. So, how you
33:49 find office hours is tomorrow come to my
33:53 LinkedIn channel and you'll see an ad or
33:55 you can go to any of my old events. It's
33:57 always the same URL.
33:59 Um, that's at 11:00 a.m. Mountain time,
34:03 1:00 p.m.
34:05 Eastern. And if you've never been to an
34:07 office hours, you should come to them.
34:08 It's a really good group of people. So,
34:10 come do that. Tomorrow night's first
34:12 Friday, so we're going to be out gallery
34:14 hopping likely. So, um, we'll probably
34:17 start late again tomorrow. Um, I'll try
34:20 my best not to eat exorbitant amounts of
34:23 pasta right before the show. Okay? You
34:26 see, I'm not I'm not car bloating for a
34:28 marathon. And therefore, it's it's
34:31 affecting my
34:32 body in whatever would be the opposite
34:35 way that it affects a
34:42 marathoner. Oh, good lord. All right,
34:45 let's go look at the irregulars. Let's
34:48 see what's going on in
34:50 irregularas.
34:51 Irregularas. Oh, the irregulars.
34:56 Let's see. AI learning lab and
35:01 irregulars. Have you fed your prompt
35:04 today?
35:05 Yes,
35:07 exactly. Love it. Delayed one
35:12 hour. Started late and ending early. Oh,
35:16 yeah. Putting in a solid half hour's
35:18 work tonight,
35:19 people. Um, okay. So, this Saturday,
35:23 Vicki is doing a learn out loud an LOL
35:27 um on Saturday. So, if you go to the AI
35:29 salon, go to events up at the
35:33 top and
35:35 then there's Vicky's Oh, nice graphic.
35:38 That's awesome. Um Vicki is going to be
35:41 teaching people how to make websites
35:44 with Vibe Coding. If you've ever wanted
35:47 a fancier website and you don't feel
35:49 like teaching yourself web flow or one
35:52 of those Wixs or one of those stupid
35:54 horrible [ __ ] things and you just
35:57 want to describe the website you want
35:59 and have it be manifested for you, come
36:02 to the LOL. All right, so go there. Um,
36:06 office hours tomorrow, late start
36:08 tomorrow night for this because it's
36:09 first Friday. Not just vibe coding. Oh,
36:12 okay. Good. So, so website building in
36:14 general, how to use AI um to help help
36:17 build websites. Um it's going to be
36:20 really good. So, go do that. It's 3 pm
36:22 mountain time. Okay.
36:25 Um yeah, that's it. I'm going to get out
36:28 of here because my eyes are crispy. My
36:29 voice is crispy. Okay. I'm a designer
36:32 and a coder. Got to see this. Yeah, go
36:33 do it. Jump in. All right, everyone.
36:37 Have a fantastic evening. Sorry I was
36:40 late. Sorry I'm leaving early, but you
36:41 know, [ __ ] happens. Don't eat too much
36:44 pasta with booze. With
36:47 booze. All right, we'll see y'all later.
36:50 Bye.
