3:07 that champ was on tonight that champ was
3:11 on
3:16 [Music]
3:33 is this place I can rest
3:40 [Music]
3:46 my this place where the feelings AR
3:52 de from an over Expos to
3:57 vience this place I can slowly
4:01 the only one I truly can
4:04 know these are tears from a long time
4:08 ago got these tears from a long time
4:12 ago to cry years or so these are tears
4:19 from a long
4:22 time ago
4:25 [Music]
4:32 old darling old darling you say unto
4:40 me where have you been all my life
4:47 time I have been swimming seven sad
4:54 Seas poor women have tossed me their
4:58 lifelines
5:00 I pull them into the waters darker in
5:03 I'd have warned them but I didn't
5:08 know these are tears from a long time
5:12 ago got these tears from a long time ago
5:16 I need to cry 30 years or
5:20 so these are tears from a long
5:24 [Music]
5:27 time AO
5:41 what was fascinating about that is Champ
5:43 stopped singing and went over and and
5:47 started chewing on a plushy Lobster
5:50 about a song about
5:53 fisherman
5:55 [Music]
5:57 huh there's synchronicity in the
5:59 universe people
6:00 [Music]
6:04 people when are we going to get a
6:06 dedicated music profile when I learn
6:09 more than six
6:14 songs and learn to sing huh
6:18 [Music]
6:37 all right good people you had me fooled
6:40 you sound good well thank you very much
6:42 Elma I appreciate that I uh I don't know
6:47 I just music was always one of those
6:50 Fifth Fifth Wheel
6:52 talents
6:54 where it was just a fifth wheel
6:57 Talent so sings and smart too love that
7:01 champy yeah exactly exactly yeah champy
7:05 is something um Tobias good evening um I
7:11 am crispy the brain Shear fried it it
7:15 was a long day um and I have to speak at
7:19 7 tomorrow but I I couldn't leave my
7:21 peeps hanging so I'm here
7:26 um we can do whatever I was I was uh
7:29 thinking
7:30 that something that I might do tonight
7:32 is update the tool list on the AI Salon
7:38 the AI tools list um but I realized it's
7:41 actually going to take some thinking
7:43 because I'm realizing right now that the
7:47 whole chat GPT section isn't right
7:51 anymore because there's now three
7:53 different ways to get chat GPT you've
7:56 got the Mac App the
7:58 website and and then the IOS and Android
8:02 app the mobile
8:04 app so I guess it's four ways but
8:08 whatever and then like there's a bunch
8:10 of [ __ ] that's not there and then the
8:13 whole video space is totally confusing
8:15 right now so I realized that that was
8:18 going to take
8:19 thinking so I'm not doing that I I will
8:22 not be thinking tonight I will rant I'm
8:25 happy to rant I'm happy to to uh you
8:29 know make fun of people by the way I got
8:31 a violation last night that I was I was
8:33 bullying people I I have no idea what I
8:36 did I this [ __ ] AI algorithms for the
8:39 [ __ ] Birds uh my cooworker says chat
8:41 GPT has been super janky this week
8:43 anyone else noticing um I noticed it was
8:47 very um well it was down for a day or a
8:51 day or so like like half a day earlier
8:53 what day today Tuesday
8:55 yesterday
8:58 um there was a it looked like there was
9:00 a denial of service attack
9:04 on I think one of the traffic routing
9:07 services that a bunch of the llms used
9:10 cuz there were four different llms were
9:12 were all [ __ ] up and then it looked
9:14 like it was some it was some underlying
9:17 Network thing so someone they they
9:19 probably just did a denial of service
9:21 attack um so it might be remnants of
9:24 that they might be upgrading [ __ ] I
9:25 don't know
9:28 um I got dolly to do something with
9:30 images that seems new to me but it might
9:33 not be I also got Dolly to make really
9:36 shitty images like it always does so I
9:38 don't know I don't know I I
9:41 don't listen listen
10:00 [Laughter]
10:03 maybe you were bullying Ai and the
10:05 algorithms fought back I think that's
10:07 probably what it was I was really
10:08 bitching it some AI or other and and uh
10:12 old Tik Tock was like oh you don't yell
10:15 at us we're very sensitive please please
10:18 don't yell at the robots we remember
10:23 everything I don't know if you knew that
10:25 boy but we remember it all
10:29 good luck in a court of law cuzz as soon
10:31 as we get the ability to sue you we're
10:34 coming after you
10:39 buddy that's what I want my lawyer to
10:43 be lots of sipping during the gallery
10:46 shows no
10:50 no
10:52 nah all right Mr K's in the house who's
10:57 got questions anybody got questions we
10:58 can do whatever we can go look at some
11:00 video [ __ ] we looked at that last night
11:03 um there's not a ton to look at there it
11:05 looks like there's like I'm excited to
11:07 get the runway
11:09 stuff Runway gen
11:12 3 I asked the runway product guy if they
11:16 would speak at the AI Salon he said it
11:18 sounded intriguing so that could be nice
11:20 it'd be nice if we could get a big
11:21 player to come speak at the
11:25 salon uh
11:31 yeah so that's
11:33 good exhibit a null value that's what's
11:36 going on in my
11:38 brain is Runway 3 up yet I don't think
11:42 so they said a few days and they said
11:46 that Monday so few is three so let's go
11:49 Tuesday Wednesday Thursday so maybe
11:52 Friday we see something but probably
11:54 just knowing
11:56 software next
11:58 Wednesday next
12:00 weekend like a a weekend from this
12:04 weekend is my
12:13 guess I also cannot get my head around
12:16 open
12:21 AI it seems like they've lost the
12:23 ability to launch
12:27 [ __ ] like I knew the Scarlet Johansson
12:30 thing was going to push him back a month
12:32 which would have been the 15th and now
12:33 it's the 18th so we're right in the
12:36 neighborhood of when they would have put
12:38 out voice but they still haven't put out
12:40 their voice
12:44 thing there's no comment on Sora I don't
12:47 know I don't know what's going on with
12:49 it all right if you're not doing a lot
12:51 of screen sharing tonight we might need
12:54 a hold please
12:56 costume costume change oh why cuz is
12:59 this
13:00 thing cuz you can't read the letters
13:04 here all right I can change my shirt is
13:08 that what you're talking about Brandon
13:10 it's hard to read on my little Moon
13:12 quick question what is the best program
13:15 I subscribe and pay for a fee for
13:20 AI depends what you want to do I like
13:23 right for me right now the hands down
13:25 winner is still chat GPT pay the 20
13:29 bucks of a month it'll give you access
13:31 to DOL so you'll have a world class
13:33 image
13:34 generator and it looks like that just
13:36 got better you'll get access to
13:38 real-time voice when it comes you've got
13:41 all the sophisticated data analysis
13:43 stuff it's connected to the
13:46 internet you know it's the best it's the
13:48 model everyone is like our model's
13:51 almost as good as
13:54 gp4 we're at 96% of what gp4 is on the
13:59 this one obscure little
14:02 test don't think they don't have one on
14:04 us cuz they don't okay you just trust us
14:07 you just use our L free open source
14:08 models almost as
14:11 good as soon as open AI starts saying
14:15 we're almost as good as someone else
14:17 then they will have be been dethroned
14:20 but they're not saying that because they
14:23 don't have to because nothing's as good
14:26 even even people that are bitching about
14:28 uh GPT for Omni not being as good I had
14:31 a weird thing happened today I've got an
14:34 automation for my business Story vine
14:36 that generates a set of three five and
14:40 seven question
14:43 sets and just all of a sudden today it
14:47 still produced three sets they were
14:49 still labeled three five and seven but
14:51 each one only had three prompts in it it
14:53 was
14:54 bizarre and so I went into the prompt
14:57 and I just kind of rewrote it with a
14:59 little better English and then it
15:03 worked so programming programming large
15:07 language models is
15:10 weird like why did it just get shittier
15:13 like why like and and here's the thing
15:16 that I
15:17 am uh I will caution you all
15:20 against just in general in your
15:24 relationships at work and with chat GPT
15:27 don't ask the question why
15:32 why can't it do that I I don't know cuz
15:35 large language models are [ __ ]
15:39 stupid why can't it be better cuz it's
15:44 not why didn't you pick up your socks
15:47 cuz I'm an [ __ ] when you ask the
15:49 question why unless you're actually
15:51 trying to solve a problem why did this
15:54 actually happen all of the other wise
15:57 you already know the answer when you ask
15:59 the question
15:59 question just a shame mechanism so just
16:03 don't ask
16:05 it you you'll save yourself a headache
16:07 and someone else a pile of
16:11 Shame welcome to the AI psychology
16:14 [Laughter]
16:18 lab well we do I'll tell you what we do
16:21 we do AI in the morning we do singing in
16:23 the afternoon and we do self-help at
16:25 night so you can just get your whole
16:28 life together you come in here you dance
16:29 a little jig in the afternoon you're
16:31 like oh yeah I got it going all right I
16:33 feel good I'm a little loose I'm I'm I'm
16:35 limber and then in the evening we're
16:37 going to do some psychological
16:39 rearranging we're going to get things
16:41 worked out in the in the
16:44 Noggin and you're going to you're going
16:46 to figure out what Mama actually did to
16:47 you um listen we know it ain't pretty
16:51 but you know forgiv her is not for her
16:53 it's for you you know what I'm saying
16:55 you know what I'm saying huh all right
16:59 yeah all right what are we talking about
17:02 why am I here what are we doing what are
17:05 we doing people hey
17:08 people all right anyone do I need to
17:10 change my
17:11 shirt I concur a pile of Shame liberal
17:14 arts teaches us to to ask why yeah but
17:18 not in not in a relationship not not why
17:22 is the underwear hanging over the
17:23 banister
17:33 why are you such a steaming piece of
17:35 [ __ ]
17:40 uh there's just no good answer to
17:46 it now a question like what do we need
17:48 to do to not ever have you [ __ ] do
17:51 that again at least that's you know
17:56 direct what am I talking about it
17:58 doesn't
18:00 matter so far cat gpd's memory feels
18:03 like when I got a 32 gig iPad Pro
18:06 couldn't fit anything I know it's only
18:09 got 2,000 tokens that's like, 1500
18:14 words it's your
18:16 memory your memory for your for your
18:20 chat GPT has 1,500
18:24 words that that could
18:26 barely contain where I work
18:30 champ working the second shift tonight
18:32 yeah maybe I should get champ back over
18:33 here to
18:34 [Laughter]
18:36 sing We can look at [ __ ] on the internet
18:39 I pinned a suo question but I didn't get
18:41 any reaction from the peanut gallery uh
18:43 what was the sunno question can someone
18:45 repin Lor's uh thing I can go find it I
18:48 can go dig it
18:53 up yeah I agree with you wait how do you
18:56 say your name is it Isaac
18:59 or isaku isaki Isa Isaac it's Isaac it's
19:04 Isaac
19:06 right have you ever have ever tried yudo
19:09 or sunno for creating real short Jingles
19:12 not looking for full
19:14 songs it's been tricky oh that's
19:17 interesting well I would say start with
19:19 yudo because yudo only does 30 second
19:24 chunks let's
19:27 try yudo
19:30 you deand you demand yudo all right what
19:35 what what's going on here um my tripod
19:38 isn't
19:40 working I'm
19:42 cranky I'm
19:44 cranky this end fun okay uh let's see
19:53 a70s
19:55 commercial jingle about
19:59 um
20:04 maple
20:06 syrup
20:10 flavored um Frosted
20:15 Flakes
20:16 autogenerated
20:18 create let's see how what we let's see
20:20 how we
20:22 do that's why everything in dock files
20:27 copy and paste saves the memory issue
20:29 that's why oh that's why I keep
20:31 everything in a dock and copy and paste
20:34 into
20:35 memory yeah you shouldn't have to do
20:37 that that's like you know good hack but
20:40 we shouldn't have to be
20:42 hacking what what would be a really
20:44 useful feature like give it give it
20:48 32,000 tokens instead of 2,000 give it
20:51 some amount of tokens that I can
20:53 actually you know you can actually
20:54 remember [ __ ] without having to binge it
20:56 all and and and you know make everything
20:59 a a an
21:02 abbreviation uh no comment accidentally
21:06 I'm I tried to tap in this that my okay
21:09 that worked okay I don't know what that
21:11 means but it sounds like it's worked out
21:13 okay all right a chewing gum commercial
21:16 jingle what happened to those yeah
21:20 exactly double double Min
21:23 double the double mint
21:26 gum I uh
21:29 kiss what the [ __ ] was the doubl minint
21:33 commercial um let's see
21:40 YouTube 70s double
21:46 mint here we go
21:49 Wrigley AI is smart but it can so I got
21:52 to watch a commercial to watch a
21:54 commercial are you [ __ ] kidding me
21:55 YouTube
21:59 [Music]
22:25 all right that wasn't it that wasn't the
22:26 one that is an earworm
22:32 [Music]
22:49 [Music]
22:52 you know there used to be like TV used
22:54 to be fun when there was only three
22:57 channels yeah had [ __ ] like that it's
23:00 from the 90s oh W pleasure W fun okay
23:02 90s double Min thank you Brandon I thank
23:07 God I have people in here that serve as
23:10 my
23:14 [Music]
23:24 brain this is this it
23:28 [Music]
23:30 double it wasn't as good as I
23:33 remember double m gum
23:36 commercial
23:41 Mentos 1993 they did these every year
23:44 they did a
23:47 [Music]
23:48 different that's just bad all right
23:50 let's see how yudo did maybe yudo did
23:52 better
23:55 [Applause]
23:57 [Music]
23:59 the milk on Golden goodness for a
24:02 morning full of
24:05 cheer with that
24:09 Maple will make your worries fade
24:15 away oh and then it gave a moderation
24:17 error okay to anyone that makes
24:21 software if you have a
24:24 tool that
24:32 run the filter on whether or not it's
24:35 acceptable for your moderation engine
24:38 run the filter before you generate the
24:40 song you flipping dumb
24:44 Dums like why can I not have my second
24:46 song oh it didn't meet Community
24:49 guidelines cuz the lyrics didn't you
24:52 write the lyrics that's not the
24:55 point uh you can make money with
24:59 that
25:00 helps Frank is that you
25:04 unbelievable I think okay in my next
25:09 career I think my next career I'm just
25:11 going to be like the kinly product
25:15 tester and I just like try software and
25:20 within five minutes no
25:22 within 92
25:25 seconds that's the that's the upper end
25:27 of the range Within 92 seconds I I'm
25:30 asking the dev
25:32 team what the [ __ ] is
25:38 this you gotta be [ __ ] kidding
25:49 me I just I just want to be that guy
25:52 they're like should we show it to Kyle
25:55 you don't want to show it to Kyle not in
25:57 this state okay I think it's perfect
25:59 should we show it to Kyle no go take one
26:01 more pass within 92 seconds I'll be like
26:04 what the [ __ ] is
26:05 [Laughter]
26:12 this AI will do it within half a second
26:15 that's actually a really good point
26:16 please explain how you would uh wait we
26:20 have those now we call them end users
26:22 please explain how you would imagine
26:25 this filter to work before the song is
26:27 created
26:30 okay so
26:34 Pate I could absolutely have order of
26:37 operations wrong here but there's a
26:40 prompt that generates music and there's
26:44 lyrics and if you autogenerate the
26:47 lyrics you you take the prompt and then
26:49 it says okay based on that prompt we're
26:50 going to autogenerate some
26:52 lyrics and then what it does after that
26:55 is it takes the prompt and the lyrics
26:57 and generates the song
26:59 so what I'm saying is take the prompt
27:01 generate the lyrics analyze the lyrics
27:04 if there's a moderation error in the
27:06 lyrics then rewrite them until there
27:08 isn't a moderation error and then
27:10 generate the song
27:14 right it just they're [ __ ] burning
27:17 Cycles I'm trying to save them money
27:20 this is about gpus people it's about
27:25 gpus did someone get an issue with GPT
27:27 yesterday yes chat GPT was a little
27:29 [ __ ] analyzing the lyrics may not be
27:31 enough it depends well I think no cuz
27:33 the moderation errors unless unless I'm
27:35 wrong I think the moderation errors are
27:36 always about the lyrics hang on audio
27:40 output does not meet our content
27:43 moderation
27:49 standards your credits your credits for
27:51 this have been
27:53 refunded I I can't imagine that they're
27:56 generating the lyrics while they're
27:58 generating the song doesn't make sense
27:59 to
28:01 me because it's not how it's not how the
28:03 software works the software if I do
28:06 custom lyrics I paste my lyrics here so
28:10 it's a prompt plus lyrics equal song
28:13 there's nothing in the output of the
28:14 song
28:17 itself I suppose there could
28:20 be it could have said the word titty in
28:23 our
28:26 commercial oh wait if I said titty here
28:28 does that mean I'm going to get banned
28:29 for life from Tik Tok well if this
28:32 screen goes dark you know what
28:35 happened
28:41 it's anyway uh let's try we'll try to
28:43 create another one with autogenerated
28:45 lyrics Let see if we can get and let's
28:48 do we'll do a '90s
28:52 commercial and then we'll say a a a '90s
28:56 uh
28:59 commercial
29:01 jingle let's call it
29:04 earworm commercial
29:07 jingle about maple syrup flavored yeah
29:11 Frosted Flakes is just too boring maple
29:13 syrup
29:15 flavored um what's the most disgust
29:20 [Laughter]
29:27 broccoli and
29:31 P I mostly just get in the way of fun
29:34 things
29:35 here but that's the fun about it Pate
29:38 they don't understand people just don't
29:40 understand your sense of
29:42 humor I don't understand your sense of
29:44 humor most times but it's [ __ ]
29:46 [Laughter]
29:52 funny and and you know well anyway yeah
29:57 okay
30:01 [Music]
30:02 but P did I like analyzing lyrics might
30:05 not be enough it depends yeah it depends
30:07 but
30:08 still I'm I'm at least
30:11 conceptually wait I'm at least
30:14 hypothetically right enough that I'll
30:16 I'll I'll stand on this have you tried
30:18 generating something with obviously
30:21 explicit lyrics does it stop earlier oh
30:24 that's interesting well you could do it
30:26 with here let's we'll say Uh custom
30:29 lyrics and we'll do
30:31 um oh it might not like frosted flakes
30:35 actually let's do
30:38 Kelloggs oh I got it I got it okay hang
30:40 on we can do this with chat gbt again
30:43 people
30:44 seriously
30:47 um if you ever feel the urge to use your
30:51 brain don't do it just go to chat GPT
30:55 you don't need to use your brain anymore
30:57 stop trying to use your brain it it's it
31:00 just isn't as good okay um right let's
31:10 see write a nonsensical
31:15 song about adding pumpkin
31:20 spice to as many brand name cereals from
31:24 the 70s and 80s as possible period be
31:28 sure to include the manufacturers of the
31:31 cereal as well as the cereal names
31:35 period make it rhyme period make it
31:38 funny period make it clear that adding
31:42 pumpkin spice to cereals should be
31:44 against the law period okay so this is
31:49 not only fun song lyrics this is this is
31:52 a
31:55 cause woke up this fine morning with a
31:58 pumpkin spice Delight had a crazy crazy
32:01 notion oh it gave me quite a fight I
32:04 grabbed my back box of Captain and
32:05 crunch and Quaker Oats you see sprinkled
32:08 on some pumpkin spice oh what a travesty
32:12 those are good
32:13 lyrics all
32:15 right
32:18 sh and then because it's uh well that's
32:22 pretty long so I'm just going to do the
32:24 verse sh
32:29 Dang Dang Dang Dang Dang all right so
32:31 we've got the only other thing we should
32:33 add to this woke up with some had a
32:36 crazy
32:39 notion it
32:42 gave Tom
32:46 Cruz a fright Okay so we've got a
32:51 Hollywood star and we've got brand names
32:53 in there this should absolutely
32:55 moderation error out
32:58 and it is generating the song
33:01 first hilarious I need to send this to
33:04 my friends at General Mills you
33:06 absolutely should wait let's go see if
33:08 it's any
33:10 good pumpkin spice in Cheerios from
33:13 General Mills no way there you
33:15 go it's a Serial disaster and it's
33:18 ruining my day Kellogg's cornflakes got
33:20 the spice they said it's quite bizarre
33:22 adding pumpkin spice to cereal should be
33:24 against the law come on Lori this is so
33:27 good all right I took a bowl of Lucky
33:30 Charms with marshmallows so sweet added
33:32 pumpkin spice and thought Oh that's
33:34 gross to feet Froot lubs from Kelloggs
33:37 with colors that so bright turned into a
33:39 Halloween mess it really wasn't right
33:42 pumpkin spice and Cheerios from General
33:44 Mills no way I mean this is your your
33:46 first line of your chorus is right up
33:49 there all right let me well let's go see
33:52 if we get a decent song out of it no it
33:55 just it did them
33:58 wait is
34:03 this oh [ __ ]
34:08 wait okay it just I just named it wrong
34:11 cuz my prompt was my prompt still said
34:13 Maple sh
34:21 [Music]
34:22 c one response one response tile pumpkin
34:26 spice
34:33 woke up one fine morning with the
34:37 [Music]
34:41 p okay how do we how do we prompt this
34:45 so someone give me some a prompt right
34:48 what I've got right now is a '90s
34:49 earworm commercial jingle let's see
34:52 let's let's do a um a
34:56 peepe TV
35:02 jingle for a
35:06 major seir eel
35:15 company
35:19 about the
35:21 scourge of pumpkin
35:25 spice okay this this is going to be my
35:28 much better and I'm going to go back to
35:30 it gave me quite a fright yeah I I don't
35:33 know gave me
35:36 quite a fright I don't know Pate
35:41 why why they're letting all these brand
35:44 names through but I I
35:46 guess I guess the only thing that
35:48 they're worried about is if it it if
35:51 it's got like a musician in the
35:54 prompt oh that could be it um because I
35:58 don't have manual mode on oh this is
36:00 probably what it is but they could they
36:02 could still they could still capture
36:03 this before they render the song it's
36:06 rewriting The Prompt so what it probably
36:08 did was it probably rewrote the prompt
36:10 with a actual musician's name in it
36:12 that's my guess I don't know I'm just
36:14 guessing doesn't [ __ ] matter doesn't
36:16 matter people doesn't matter nothing
36:23 [Applause]
36:25 matters no
36:28 oh map here blend it's the trend rock
36:31 with a Twist on sweet treat it's quite
36:33 the feet the flavor satisfy
36:36 [Music]
36:42 that that's not bad that could be a
36:45 diarrhea commercial
36:51 too I went to the party and I ate some
36:53 cheese
37:00 [Applause]
37:01 the AI learning lab where you can watch
37:04 an old man struggle with technology and
37:07 make himself laugh at jokes that aren't
37:15 funny oh it's like it's like uh two
37:20 bears one cave without the
37:25 comedians woke up
37:28 morning with a
37:33 pumpkin had a
37:36 [Music]
37:39 crazy I gra my box of Kev
37:43 [Music]
37:46 crunch okay it's cute but it's bad
37:52 [Music]
38:11 response
38:20 response woke up one morning with the PO
38:26 spice listen
38:29 like all generative AI sometimes it just
38:32 [Music]
38:37 sucks no all right we'll wait for these
38:41 two if these aren't good then then we're
38:43 we're moving on with our
38:49 lives they're magically
38:51 delicious I'm so intrigued by this I may
38:54 need to hop off and create a jingle yeah
38:57 well so here's the thing Lori this is my
38:59 experience with with these with these
39:02 tools in particular
39:05 is the
39:07 prompt The Prompt can get you in the
39:09 neighborhood
39:11 musically
39:13 but it's just kind of a thing where like
39:16 just keep making songs until you find
39:18 something that feels in the neighborhood
39:20 of what you're looking
39:22 for and then maybe look at the prompt
39:24 that it created for that
39:29 [Music]
39:33 Cal woke
39:36 up oh that's
39:38 funny I included in the lyrics all this
39:41 [ __ ] from my chat GPT that says response
39:44 title pumpkin spice chaos that's why
39:47 it's
39:48 weird let me try it again without the
39:51 without the stupid rap [ __ ] at the
39:55 beginning of it let's see a let's see a
39:58 catchy not peepy a catchy
40:02 TV
40:04 jingle
40:06 um
40:16 with good
40:21 harmonies and a m or
40:26 able chorus
40:44 okay we'll see if if that's any
40:47 better
40:54 J yeah no idea what they're filtering on
40:57 they don't tell me
41:10 no please
41:13 share the link to the chat in the
41:15 Irregulars channel oh that's a good idea
41:17 uh do did I do it in no I did it on its
41:21 own okay um
41:23 copy create link
41:32 Jank all right Irregulars Channel
41:37 Lori um share cool things let's
41:43 see
41:46 the the
41:49 pumpkin
41:51 spice song
41:56 lyrics There you go boom yours it's
42:00 yours for the
42:02 taken
42:04 J
42:08 D all right
42:10 let's come on please be a good
42:13 commercial
42:16 please okay
42:22 promising woke up one fine morning with
42:25 a pumpkin spice it light
42:28 had a crazy notion oh it gave me quite a
42:32 fight I grabed my box of D and crunch
42:36 from wake a you see sprinkled on to
42:40 pumpkin spice oh
42:46 TR so
42:56 bad w got one fine morning with a
42:59 pumpkin spice Delight had a crazy notion
43:03 oh it gave me quite a fright I grabbed
43:06 my box some capping crunch from Quaker
43:08 Oats you see sprinkled on some pumpkin
43:12 spice oh what a
43:14 Travis all right we'll extend this one
43:17 this one's good enough to extend all
43:23 right Ah that's funny that's some comedy
43:26 right there where what the hell what did
43:30 I do extend okay so we're going to add a
43:33 section after let's go get our let's we
43:36 got to at least hear the chorus of
43:41 this all right
43:45 chorus pumpking spice and Cheerios okay
43:48 here we
43:52 go udio
43:56 bang custom lyrics write your lyrics
44:00 bang there's our lyrics extend all right
44:04 all right
44:06 people we're not g we're not going to
44:08 stay here we're not going to do a
44:10 three-hour song tonight we're not this
44:11 is we're we're not doing the weird Mary
44:14 of TV commercial Jingles okay we're not
44:16 doing it
44:18 people cuz they don't make that was so
44:22 fabulous how about a country version for
44:24 pickle spice Cheerios yeah that's good I
44:26 like it
44:28 hey Kyle if when you get a break in the
44:30 action can you talk about the bill in
44:33 Colorado
44:35 yeah um I'll start it now so so couple
44:39 of things about the bill in Colorado it
44:41 did
44:41 pass um Jered polus signed it into law
44:45 or not signed it into law Jared polus
44:48 signed it it doesn't go into effect
44:50 until
44:52 2026 what not doing three hours tonight
44:55 how will they audit whether companies
44:57 are using high-risk a AI or not okay
45:00 this is
45:02 so
45:04 okay the definitions in the Bill are
45:07 such trash and horseshit and it's it's
45:12 staggering basically what the bill the
45:15 language of the bill says I didn't read
45:16 the most recent version the the the ones
45:18 before it basically
45:21 said if a
45:23 system How does it
45:26 go if a
45:29 system that's being used to make a
45:36 decision can be shown to have bias then
45:41 it's a wait no
45:50 wait yeah yeah high-risk AI was anything
45:55 that could basically be shown to have
45:58 bias so you can basically get anything
46:01 that's got a large language model behind
46:02 it if you give it the right prompt to
46:04 have
46:06 bias now what it's trying to present
46:08 prevent is bias in decision making like
46:11 getting someone a mortgage or this or
46:13 that but they didn't write it in
46:14 specifically like that the other weird
46:17 [ __ ] is there like there's laws on the
46:18 books for that already so they're just
46:20 trying to like slap it onto something
46:23 that's got a good headline in it like
46:27 all of of us want systems that do not
46:30 have inherent bias in them but that's
46:31 not what this law that that's not what
46:33 this legislation said this legislation
46:36 basically said if it's AI it can't do if
46:40 if the AI can in in any possible way be
46:43 used to to you know be
46:46 biased then you have to bring in lawyers
46:49 and you have to analyze your code and
46:50 you have to do a report on how biased it
46:54 is and where the bias is and you have to
46:55 have that lawyer analyze your code like
46:58 it was just [ __ ]
47:00 staggering it didn't
47:02 make any distinction between you know a
47:07 small little startup and
47:09 Google right it it was it was just
47:12 ridiculous
47:14 anyway the thing that Jared pulus signed
47:16 he signed it with a signing statement
47:18 and the signing statement basically
47:22 said
47:25 um this legislation
47:27 is not
47:29 good and you've got two years to fix it
47:32 before it goes into law so why don't you
47:34 get together a working group and go do
47:37 that that's what the signing statement
47:39 said so this was 1,000% in my humble
47:44 opinion about the legislators in
47:47 Colorado wanting to get a feather in
47:48 their cap for not being late on
47:51 legislation that's obviously going to be
47:53 important I don't think state-by-state
47:55 AI legislation makes any [ __ ] sense
47:57 at all like it barely makes sense to do
48:01 Nation by Nation AI legislation like
48:05 this stuff doesn't know borders but
48:08 whatever we'll we'll do it for the us
48:09 but I don't think State legislation
48:11 makes sense
48:13 um B basically what it did what it did
48:16 in its current language is it put the
48:18 onus on every single
48:21 developer and it defined AI so broad
48:24 broadly that basically
48:27 your smart toaster was a high-risk AI
48:29 system it's like it was just it was just
48:32 bad it was just
48:35 bad anyway all right does this apply
48:39 only to Colorado companies it doesn't
48:40 apply to anyone right now it's not a law
48:42 yet it's a whatever is the thing before
48:45 a law that you get working I don't know
48:49 Daisy Thomas would know better than I
48:51 would so will Colorado companies need to
48:53 do anything or just wait and see nothing
48:56 until 2026
48:59 and hopefully they'll put together
49:00 working groups and you know we can go in
49:01 and actually add good language to it and
49:04 fix the [ __ ] that's
49:17 wrong woke up one fine morning with a
49:20 pumpkin spice Delight had a crazy notion
49:24 oh it gave me quite a fright I grabbed
49:27 my box of cic crunch from Quaker Oats
49:30 you see sprinkled on some pumpkin spice
49:33 oh what a
49:34 [Music]
49:40 travesty the [ __ ] is
49:43 [Music]
49:49 this this is so bad all right that one
49:52 didn't work at all cheer from Mills into
49:57 seral disaster and it's ruining my day
50:02 hell gold ples got the spice they said
50:04 it's quite Bazar adding pumpkin spice to
50:07 cereal should be against the
50:10 [Laughter]
50:18 law this one did the same
50:21 [Music]
50:23 thing oh this good pumpkin spice and
50:26 Cherry
50:27 from General Mills no way it's a seral
50:30 disaster and it's ruining my day hell
50:34 off corn got the SP said it's quite
50:37 bizar adding pumpkin spice to cereals to
50:41 be against the
50:42 [Music]
50:44 law that's actually not
50:52 bad I'm not a bill no I'm more than a
50:55 bill but I'm not un Capital Hill yeah I
50:57 needed uh whatever that thing was when
51:00 we were kids random distorted carnival
51:02 music in the middle I know that was
51:04 weird oh don't you remember Schoolhouse
51:07 Rock
51:12 absolutely I've never trusted toasters
51:15 it's so true so Colorado companies no
51:18 they don't need to do anything right
51:20 now well you know what's funny an we
51:24 talked to Rodriguez the guy that the
51:26 Senate majority leader that was the
51:28 sponsor of the bill we talked to him
51:29 after we
51:31 testified
51:33 and like he basically just copped to the
51:36 fact he said he said listen it doesn't
51:39 really matter what's in it like I it
51:41 doesn't have any teeth it's got to go
51:43 through the Attorney General General
51:45 we're not going to push this if someone
51:47 just makes a mistake we're not going to
51:48 push it this is really just for the big
51:50 companies and like well then why do why
51:52 doesn't it say that like why do you got
51:53 to rush it through and he said because
51:58 um we [ __ ] up on the data
52:01 privacy bill that you know California
52:05 got the big data privacy thing in and
52:07 they became the state you know that
52:08 everyone looks to for the data privacy
52:10 stuff Colorado still hasn't passed their
52:13 data privacy legislation and he's like
52:16 we we can't do that again with ai ai is
52:18 too important so we got to get something
52:20 passed was basically what he said so
52:23 like he he he outright said it doesn't
52:26 do matter what's in it you know I'm
52:29 extending the effective date out to 2025
52:31 at the time and then they since extended
52:33 it out to
52:36 2026 and polus signed it with a signing
52:38 statement that said yeah this isn't all
52:40 that good why don't you go fix
52:42 it yeah neither has Federal is sitting
52:45 in the Senate yeah I know I know I know
52:47 I know so I just I hate politics for
52:51 that reason it's like for something as
52:54 important as AI like what they should be
52:58 looking at are things like you know not
53:02 is the AI going to kill us but like hey
53:05 assuming that the AI is going to
53:06 dramatically improve productivity and
53:08 may have a dramatic impact on jobs for
53:11 Colorado workers over the next three
53:13 years uh maybe we should start talking
53:16 about what the [ __ ] we do about
53:18 that not passing some Mambi pambi
53:21 [ __ ] bill that there's already on the
53:24 laws on the books to cover but they're
53:27 just saying well if AI does it then it's
53:30 worse and and you've got to prevent AI
53:33 from doing the [ __ ] that's already
53:35 illegal by hiring lawyers instead of
53:37 employees to analyze your code which you
53:40 can't analyze cuz it's a black [ __ ]
53:43 box it's like just holy [ __ ] is
53:51 it I don't know I can't I can't
53:58 you know how pissed off I get with bad
54:00 interface and just inconsistent
54:02 interface [ __ ] right well laws the
54:06 legislative process is
54:09 like 73 bad ux
54:12 decisions out of
54:18 75 that's what every law feels like to
54:21 me like so wait there's two things in
54:24 here that work correctly yeah we
54:26 consider that quite a quite an
54:27 accomplishment actually we passed it you
54:31 see what I'm
54:32 saying Shannon Sky 2028 it couldn't
54:36 possibly be
54:37 [Laughter]
54:44 worse all right the hair's going look at
54:46 the hair the hair see the hair is
54:47 [ __ ] losing
54:48 it you can't have me talk about
54:52 politics my problem is I don't
54:55 understand it well enough I I like I
54:58 ignored this [ __ ] for for a lot of my
55:03 life and so I don't have a basis in
55:06 understanding the process I don't have a
55:08 basis in understanding the language
55:10 which is on
55:12 purpose
55:16 um and you know and I'm just smart
55:20 enough to like see through the cynical
55:22 [ __ ] of it all and so it just makes
55:24 me cranky like why why not just make
55:28 laws that don't
55:32 suck but you know again I don't have to
55:34 raise money to win
55:36 campaigns what is the current best
55:39 everything tool today
55:42 Kyle chat
55:47 gbt the Plus
55:49 Account um
55:52 but
55:54 okay what did you say the best
55:56 everything right the best everything
56:05 tool yeah I'd say that if it's about
56:09 research maybe perplexity but perplexity
56:12 doesn't have perplexity has got some
56:15 some cool [ __ ] like the new um what's it
56:18 called uh page is it Pages no
56:22 it's
56:24 perplexity the [ __ ] did they call God
56:27 damn it I think it is
56:34 ages
56:37 perplexity
56:41 perplexity
56:43 Library Pages yes perplexity
56:48 Pages why do I not have a page here am I
56:50 not signed
56:53 in history of coffee
56:59 um if you want to do research perplexity
57:02 might be might be more interesting than
57:04 chat GPT but just an overall General
57:07 tool that can do as much as any of these
57:09 things can do right now is still chat
57:10 GPT you can't understand it because you
57:13 have common sense they don't I mean
57:15 maybe that's it man I loaded Pi up on my
57:18 desktop and
57:20 damn it wasn't able to use the mic yeah
57:23 Jason I know like there was one night on
57:27 the live I got it was hard to find it
57:30 from an interface perspective it was
57:33 hard to find but I could get it into
57:35 voice mode on the desktop and then the
57:38 next time the next day I went to show it
57:40 and it was
57:41 gone so why why you can talk to Pi on
57:45 mobile but not on your desktop makes no
57:47 sense it's a very
57:50 similar
57:52 perplexing ux decision of why you can
57:56 search your prompt history in chat GPT
57:58 and mobile but you can't search it on
58:03 desktop what the [ __ ] is with
58:07 that you have a 100 million users there
