8:00 Salon it it was Ann Murphy's um weekend
8:03 GPT jam and I'll show you how to find
8:06 information about that for the next one
8:08 I actually I actually want to talk about
8:10 that session today it was a really good
8:13 session the the guy that she brought in
8:15 to teach it Scott I forget his last name
8:17 but you on an F I think Fletcher Fleming
8:19 I don't know what it
8:20 was um he was super patient he was super
8:24 nice super
8:25 knowledgeable uh Cosmic lover it was
8:28 amazing um and and it it essentially
8:32 took the whole two hours so so what what
8:35 he taught was people who who already
8:38 knew how to make gpts how to add an
8:40 action to a GPT so it's you're basically
8:43 adding an API and then the API we added
8:46 was to
8:47 zapier and then you connect once you
8:50 have the API connected to zapier then
8:52 you have to add an action to zapier and
8:54 get it back into the GPT it while it is
8:58 conceptually simple
9:01 um it is the
9:04 jankiest jankiest Beyond
9:07 janky um yeah chat GPT to zappier to
9:11 Google Calendar um I wasn't able to make
9:13 it because of the work but anyway I I'll
9:15 I'll talk about it a bit it it
9:17 reinforced for me the thing the the
9:20 reason I was excited here let me flip
9:21 back here the reason I was excited about
9:25 the meeting this afternoon is I tried I
9:29 tried that same zappier
9:34 integration 3 months
9:36 ago oh no it couldn't have been that
9:39 long cuz they've only been out for three
9:41 months so two months ago like a month
9:43 after it came
9:44 out I took I took my own two hours and
9:48 like tried to figure it out watch some
9:50 YouTube videos do did what you
9:53 do and I got it I got it to talk to
9:55 zappier but then it failed on the zap
9:57 and I was like ah well I just [ __ ] it I
9:59 I don't care like I don't I don't have a
10:01 compelling need for it so because of
10:03 that I didn't do it I was fully
10:07 expecting that what I would learn today
10:09 in that
10:10 session was that I did it all wrong and
10:13 it there was a much better way to do
10:17 it and I actually got it to work today
10:20 so that's good but what I learned today
10:24 is that adding actions to gpts is a
10:27 janky piece of [ __ ] like really really
10:29 bad I missed champy again and no
10:33 oh he was so good well he was he was
10:36 good you know champ champ being in the
10:39 diva that he is he was he was good for
10:42 about a verse and most of a chorus and
10:45 then he just gave it up he's like NOP
10:48 I'm done I'm done here I don't know who
10:50 these people are I don't know I don't I
10:52 don't really want to sing this song
10:54 right now I'm a little
10:56 gassy and that was it so an I was just
10:59 just talking about the thing today I was
11:00 just talking about I don't know when
11:02 when you came in but the fact that like
11:04 my fantasy for today was cuz the first
11:07 time I tried it I almost got it to work
11:09 my fantasy today was was to get it to
11:11 work but the real fantasy was that I
11:13 would learn something from the person
11:15 that knew how to do this that it
11:17 wouldn't be as janky as it was that that
11:19 it either it had improved or I was doing
11:22 it wrong the first time
11:24 and he taught it and I'm like nope it's
11:28 still a mess
11:30 so if you have not added an action to a
11:34 GPT and if you don't know what I'm
11:35 talking about awesome good on you um and
11:39 you feel intimidated by it and you feel
11:41 like well I should really learn how to
11:42 do that my advice right now is unless
11:45 you have a burning desire to do it just
11:48 wait just give
11:50 it cuz at some point open AI is goingon
11:54 to come out with gp5 with agents in it
11:57 and this shit's going to be all
11:58 automated
12:00 um you're just going to log into your
12:02 services and the shit'll just work um we
12:05 are not there right now it it it was a
12:07 mess it was a mess um but it was I I got
12:12 to tell you that group is such a cool
12:14 group so if you haven't joined one of
12:16 Ann's um weekend GPT jams on Saturday
12:19 you should absolutely do it so how do
12:21 you learn that how well but Kyle how do

13:03 it so anyway so how do we how do you get
13:05 there what do you do what do you what do
13:06 you do Rudy since we have to off our
13:10 domain for custom gpts why can't they
13:12 allow us to embed our in our website
13:14 Rudy good Lord I I I I've got a list a
13:18 mile long of things like that like why
13:20 can I search through my prompt history
13:22 in the g chat GPT app but I can't do it
13:25 in the [ __ ]
13:27 website why can I not search my prompt
13:31 history and yes what you
13:34 said yeah if we're if we're athing
13:37 into if we can't create a GPT without
13:40 athing into it in some way yeah why
13:42 can't we embed that in a website I yeah
13:45 [ __ ] like that why does the GPT store
13:49 not have any store elements to it like
13:53 prices and revenue
13:56 sharing and a basic search function that
14:00 functions and an actual directory that
14:06 functions and a leader board I mean come
14:10 on come on
14:13 people
14:15 um can no one make a GPT that searches
14:19 chat GPT I think there have been some
14:22 people that have done that I don't know
14:23 how they're doing
14:24 it um I mean now that we have the
14:27 directory you don't really need to do
14:28 that I mean you can you can search it
14:30 don't get me wrong it's just that their
14:31 search sucks um okay so here's what we
14:34 want to do I'm going to talk to you
14:36 about this amazing Community called the
14:37 AI Salon that a lot of people in here
14:40 are already part of um I'll show you
14:42 where the weekend GPT Jam is um we got a
14:47 we got a decent amount of folks in here
14:48 here's my request before I do that share
14:51 this live if you would share it right
14:53 now share it with some of your friends
14:56 on Tik Tock and couple couple of request
14:59 Quest share it with young
15:03 people and and by Young I mean you know
15:06 under
15:09 90 share it with some young people
15:12 because I think it'll make them cranky
15:14 if if you know you share it with them
15:17 share it with
15:18 people who really hate it when you talk
15:22 about
15:23 AI cuz it'll definitely piss them off um
15:28 and then share with anyone who you think
15:29 might enjoy it you know they're home on
15:31 a Saturday night eating Ben and Jerry's
15:33 on their own they should come on join

15:37 we'll have fun um but seriously I I want
15:40 people in in here who are either afraid
15:43 of AI or pissed off about AI or
15:47 intimidate intimidated about AI um
15:58 because this
16:00 stuff this stuff is already here and
16:03 it's not going
16:04 away and it's already incredibly
16:07 powerful and Incredibly complex to deal
16:10 with even though you don't need to be a
16:12 technologist to do a lot of this
16:14 generative AI
16:16 stuff there's a lot there's a lot to
16:20 explore I I won't even say there's a lot
16:22 to learn because it's there's not a lot
16:23 to learn right now there's a lot to
16:25 explore right
16:27 now and this stuff is going to get
16:30 really good really fast and it actually
16:33 kind of breaks my heart that there's a
16:35 bunch of people sitting on the sidelines
16:38 like with their arms crossed like yeah
16:40 AI you know AI it just hallucinates and
16:44 and it steals and it robs
16:56 and it makes me frustrated

17:02 was you know it's just it's just cuckoo
17:05 so let's get some of those people in
17:07 here let's get them to try

17:12 scared I mean yeah I I could see how

19:12 it is the YouTube uh archives of those
19:16 sessions where we taught people to do
19:18 that um and at the bottom of that
19:20 directory page is the instructions for
19:22 how to make the gpts we taught everyone
19:24 to make so if you've got a nonprofit and
19:25 want to build something for that go and
19:28 then the one is just the uh YouTube
19:30 channel for uh AI learning lab then
19:32 there's also the merch store so the AI

20:32 adventure together so if you're if
20:34 you're one of those people that's like I
20:35 got to figure this stuff out and you
20:36 feel like you're on your own and every
20:38 time you talk to someone about it they
20:39 make fun of you or they tell you to shut

21:13 a thousand members here and it's still a
21:14 remarkable Community with generosity and
21:18 spirit and curiosity and all sorts of
21:21 cool stuff and the reason for that is
21:22 the values so so they're super important
21:26 they they're who this group already is
21:28 and so as it grows I don't want to lose
21:31 that we don't want to lose that so the
21:34 first value is curiosity I want people
21:36 that are curious oh what a new thing
21:39 came out I got to go try it oh that's
21:41 really cool how do you do that what what
21:43 was the prompt behind that one right
21:44 curiosity learn
21:47 [ __ ] and then what's the next one
21:49 generosity you know people are like oh
21:51 tell me how to do that you never hear
21:52 from them again they piss you off
21:56 right the the the information
22:00 hoarders we're too early in the in in
22:02 the evolution of generative AI right now
22:05 to be
22:06 stingy so we want people in here who are
22:08 generous people that are willing to
22:10 introduce themselves and say hi people
22:12 that are willing to say oh here's the
22:14 here's the prompt I use her here's my
22:18 Approach so generosity big big piece of
22:20 the community exploration is another one
22:23 people that are adventurous willing to
22:25 you know go out there and and you know
22:28 live in that uncomfortable place of the
22:30 unknown there were there were 45 or 50
22:34 people in an's weekend GPT jams trying
22:38 to figure out non-technical people most
22:40 of them trying to figure out how to
22:43 incorporate how to get their GPT via an
22:46 API to talk to zappier and make it
22:48 function 45 or 50 people just exploring
22:52 in the uncomfortable horribleness of
22:56 that that you know that place of like
22:57 you really want to get there but you
22:59 realize I just don't have the skills to
23:01 do this like that Gap is this miserable
23:03 place but you know what it's important
23:05 enough you're willing to jump in there
23:07 and do it and that's what that's what
23:08 that was collaboration that it also
23:10 exemplified that um inclusion people are
23:13 coming from everywhere all different
23:14 backgrounds all different experience
23:16 levels and then finally
23:19 empathy people are scared right
23:23 now people are excited people are pissed
23:27 off people are Reinventing themselves
23:30 people are getting laid off people are
23:32 it's like there's all sorts of [ __ ]
23:33 going on so an important piece of this
23:36 is you know someone may come into this
23:38 community cranky and
23:40 cynical and we should hear them yeah
23:44 what are you cranky about what are you
23:45 cynical about wow yeah that must be
23:48 awful have you tried this stuff yet
23:51 no cool let's try it right now right
23:55 huge so if those values resonate with
23:58 you this is your
24:00 people if they don't that's totally cool
24:03 it's totally cool not your people it's
24:07 you know it's the the organism will will
24:09 reject you and you won't like it so so
24:11 please check those out now if you dig

25:00 things about these lives if you've never
25:02 been to one of these lives is that there
25:04 is a whole community of people that show
25:07 up to these things every single
25:11 night it's
25:13 amazing these lives become a jam session
25:17 and the this Salon website has become a
25:20 place where we can jam and and you can
25:23 connect with people and they're called

25:27 that I think it's great that that we
25:29 have a posi and the posi is called the

27:58 it's the first thing on this list so
28:01 there's chat gbt 3.5 which is the free
28:03 version and then there's also this thing
28:05 called chat GPT plus which gives you
28:08 access to chat GPT 4 in my opinion if
28:11 you can afford the 20 bucks a month it
28:13 is probably the most important 20 bucks
28:15 you can spend if you're trying to get AI
28:18 literate okay so so where this list
28:22 starts is you know here all of these
28:24 bullet points are all the different
28:26 things that chat GPT can do you should
28:28 learn them all and and not even learn
28:31 them I like that makes it that makes it
28:32 seem like [ __ ] work you should play
28:34 with them all you should really explore
28:37 what chat gbt can do it's it it is
28:41 mind-bogglingly powerful and we can
28:43 we'll play tonight I'll show you stuff
28:44 tonight um so that's where to start and
28:47 then if you've been playing for a while
28:48 and if you're like well I want to do the
28:50 pictures or I want to do what are the
28:51 other ones I could use um right below
28:53 chat gbt there's kind of the the big
28:55 four large language models claw Bard
28:59 perplexity and co-pilot from Microsoft
29:02 below that are what I what I'm calling
29:03 the specialty
29:05 llms Pi grock llama 2 and llama 2 is
29:11 kind of a whole open- Source World in
29:13 and of itself so that's a completely
29:15 different thing and then po um but all
29:18 of those are worth exploring then I got
29:20 an image Generation section with do mid
29:22 Journey Kaa Deco here Leonardo and
29:25 Firefly with links everything and
29:27 explanations of what they are then I got
29:29 a video section then I got a music and
29:32 audio
29:33 section and then I got a 3D worlds and
29:35 object section and then finally I've got
29:37 here's people you should follow if
29:39 you're trying to get AI literate follow
29:42 this channel like follow it right now if
29:43 you haven't followed it follow
29:45 it um follow Ethan mullik Wharton
29:49 business school Professor does just he
29:51 just does amazing stuff that helps you
29:54 understand the impact of this stuff

29:58 you're not following David Shapiro

30:01 speed on AI in my opinion Paul rer from
30:05 the marketing AI Institute um he's been
30:07 in this game longer than is reasonable
30:12 because the game the generative AI game
30:15 is essentially a year and a half old
30:18 maybe two or three years he started the
30:20 marketing AI Institute 5 years ago I
30:24 missed the Kids
30:25 Table what's the Kids Table
30:29 oh oh oh yeah the kids table when I oh
30:31 yeah when I did the when I talk about

36:13 first team to reach the Finish Line wins
36:16 you can also mix it up by including
36:19 physical activities for each correct
36:22 answer for instance if they answer a

36:32 keep them active but also help them
