Description
In the latest episode of the AI Learning Lab, Kyle explores the intersection of creativity and technology, diving into the exciting world of generative AI tools like LTX and udio. He discusses the implications of new features that allow users to create music and visual content with unprecedented ease, while also reflecting on the evolving nature of copyright in an age where AI-generated art is becoming commonplace. The conversation touches on the importance of community in fostering creativity, as well as the potential for AI to democratize artistic expression. With a blend of humor and insight, Kyle encourages viewers to embrace these tools as a means of enhancing their creative processes rather than viewing them as mere replacements for traditional artistry.

on ticktock today he got the newso 12:09 feature I wonder if I got the newso 12:11 feature cuz I got the new udio feature 12:13 but I don't know if I got the new sunno 12:15 feature did I get the new Sono 12:19 feature if Mr K got the new Sono feature 12:21 and I didn't get the new Sono feature 12:23 I'm gonna be crankier and 12:26 [ __ ] where is the rest of sunno why can 12:30 I not show 12:35 lyrics repeat 12:42 autoplay I don't think I got the new suo 12:45 feature unless somebody knows where a 12:47 new Sono feature is go watch his Tik Tok 12:50 I just saw didn't his Tik Tok just have 12:52 the output of it I can't go watch his 12:54 Tik Tok I'm doing a 12:55 live uh oh Mr at looks like a soono 12:58 night no I don't have the 13:00 feature I don't have 13:04 it do I not 13:09 3.5 instrumental custom 13:12 mode enter a 13:18 title is there a record button does 13:21 anybody know where it 13:23 is what's the best free AI I can use to 13:27 generate images um it depends how geeky 13:30 you want to get if you just want it to 13:31 be simple 13:33 ideogram is probably the best free one 13:36 right 13:37 now I don't know how many free images 13:40 they give you but it's decent 13:42 amount 10 or so a 13:45 day i d e o g r a m a 13:52 [Music] 14:01 can you maximize the computer screen 14:04 please oh like make the fonts and [ __ ] 14:08 bigger I can my problem is I'm I I don't 14:12 know where the newso features are if 14:15 there if I've got them I don't know 14:16 where they 14:17 are I just don't know I don't know 14:20 people you know you people are always 14:23 asking 14:27 me do you just drag and drop some 14:29 something into that 14:32 box no switch camera 14:35 oh you didn't want to see my big fat 14:38 [Laughter] 14:44 face it's 14:45 comedy in my 14:48 mind I had done all the right 14:52 things all right well if anybody knows 14:55 about the newso features I guess we 14:56 could go to the Discord 15:00 but we have uh Whata call 15:03 it there's 15:06 sunno 15:08 announcements this is still the 15:10 announcement about the million dooll 15:21 giveaway the title has been removed to 15:25 copyright I got nothing there all right 15:27 I don't know but check this out let's go 15:32 back over here we'll go to 15:36 yudo and we're going to go BR and then 15:40 look right 15:44 there 15:47 so we're going to kill that we're going 15:49 to go over to Quick 15:54 Time what that 15:58 was new audio 16:01 recording all right sunno explore new 16:06 stles it's a roll it's a roll the dice 16:09 game yeah but it but it that's it is 16:13 that what the that's not what the new 16:16 feature is the new feature is you can 16:19 play a song 16:22 right make random lyrics 16:31 no that's not 16:33 it that's not it it's not it Cindy [ __ ] 16:37 you're wrong you're wrong Dr Brewster 16:40 I'm very proud to be a woman name that 16:43 movie all right LTX studio now has 16:45 Vision well it's got Visions it's got a 16:48 new feature called Visions I have rolled 16:51 the dice well I have rolled the dice 16:52 what's the new feature so the new 16:54 feature is you can play a song and then 16:57 it will continue it and yud just added 16:59 it today okay Dr J doesn't see anything 17:02 in sunno either okay so we'll go to udio 17:04 and do theirs so what we do is we got to 17:06 go record 17:08 something in quick time so let's see 17:10 what are we going to do 17:14 um I could go 17:22 [Music] 17:26 um maybe I'll do that 17:29 that's actually a Martin Sexton song You 17:32 and I get all 17:35 alone Sunday morning hair at 17:39 home sky blue and cof is strong Tootsie 17:43 winner winner chicken 17:46 dinner the udio features only available 17:49 for paid accounts I paid that 17:52 udio cuz they had something that I 17:55 wanted so I paid them their dollars okay 18:01 [Music] 18:14 okay that's what that's what we'll 18:15 record all right here we go 18:22 [Music] 18:33 [Music] 18:36 all right did we get 18:42 good A little sloppy but 18:45 [Music] 18:48 whatever how did I get the new features 18:50 on chat GPT 40 I didn't I just got the 18:52 They just added settings in my in my 18:55 settings that that are in anticipation 18:57 of the new features 18:59 [Music] 19:05 okay so that sounds music is it's it's a 19:10 it's a little clunky it's a little 19:12 clunky 19:13 people 19:16 but we'll call this test four because I 19:20 did three earlier I have a couple with 19:22 champ singing in them which is kind of 19:25 funny test four 19:29 okay so we're going to upload that 19:31 little chunk of 19:35 music I got to confirm that yes it's 19:38 mine I didn't steal this from anyone 19:41 it's just a chord progression 19:45 people um a lot of the Martin Sexton 19:48 songs I know are the ex exact same chord 19:50 progression it's a relatively 19:52 straightforward chord progression 19:55 okay um let's see let's make make this 20:00 um pop 20:04 rock 20:07 song 20:14 about 20:16 [Music] 20:20 waiting for the 20:22 new 20:25 version to drop 20:30 all right we're going to have it write 20:32 the lyrics and so I can either add an 20:34 intro before that which would be kind of 20:36 interesting we'll try that next with a 20:38 different chunk of music but we're going 20:41 to add a section after what I just 20:46 played all right here we go and so it's 20:49 now going to incorporate my my little 20:53 thing into something even with visions 20:54 LTX studio is pretty janky but still 20:57 cool to play with typo that's that's all 20:59 [Music] 21:04 right 21:06 um yeah Allan Mr Studio I didn't see in 21:11 in LTX studio in their live stream today 21:13 they demoed this this version of the 21:17 storyboard where you can move scenes 21:19 around and it I I don't seem to have 21:21 that is that buried somewhere and I 21:23 missed it or they did did they just not 21:25 launch that 21:26 [Music] 21:27 yet but we'll show that too and you can 21:30 only uh uh you can only put in 12,000 21:33 characters so it's about they said you 21:35 can upload a screenplay well you can 21:37 upload a screenplay if it's not a 21:39 featurelength 21:43 screenplay it's 21:45 about I think my salmon flying East 21:48 which is like 126 pages is like 87,000 21:54 characters so I can put about a fifth of 21:57 a screen playay in it 21:59 all right here we go here we go 22:03 people oh if you don't know where I am 22:05 by the way I'm at 22:07 udio and yudo just added the ability to 22:11 upload a music file and have it write a 22:14 song after your little music file or be 22:17 inspired by it or something I don't 22:19 [ __ ] know I'm just playing with this 22:23 for the first time with you so all right 22:26 here we go 22:29 [Music] 22:49 sounds like Dave 22:52 Matthews just wasting time but I'm stuck 22:56 here 22:57 [Music] 22:59 in this 23:00 clown cuz I'm 23:03 waiting wow yeah I'm waiting 23:08 waiting still I'm waiting 23:13 waiting yeah I'm waiting well you know 23:15 it's funny it retained the clunkiness of 23:18 my guitar 23:18 [Laughter] 23:21 playing oh wait that was that one 23:25 [Music] 23:39 [Music] 23:46 if I could wait for the 23:50 drop if I could wait just a bit more if 23:55 I could wait for the drop 24:00 I'd be dancing on the floor for 24:04 [Music] 24:07 sure all right that sucked um uh what 24:10 did what Mr Mr it said the AI Salon 24:14 where where everything turns into a uh 24:16 musical every live turns into a musical 24:19 well they dropped a new feature so not a 24:21 fan of the chorus Harmony hackers um or 24:24 or AI Salon play music 24:27 first cuz new tagline is play first okay 24:31 uh let me record something else here let 24:33 me let me record Another 24:36 Thing uh well what do we have I recorded 24:39 some with 24:50 [Music] 24:56 dogs yeah I don't think that's good I I 24:58 don't think that's going to work what 24:59 are we going to do here we'll go 25:05 uh let me 25:07 [Music] 25:17 see um 25:24 [Music] 25:39 all right I think we'll do that we'll 25:40 just do something really 25:48 simple new audio recording 25:54 [Music] 26:10 okay save test five test five and then 26:15 let's make it uh what are we going to do 26:19 um I don't [ __ ] know 26:28 I should be able to not have to answer 26:30 that question every [ __ ] time um 26:33 let's see 26:35 um let's see 26:40 uh 26:44 um 26:46 piano 26:50 solo 26:56 Symphony and 27:00 opera 27:03 singer 27:07 about the Ruby 27:11 Moon 27:13 okay 27:16 simpon piano solo 27:19 comma 27:20 Symphony 27:22 comma and opera singer about the Ruby 27:26 Moon here we go all right 27:30 people you should record vocal 27:33 interludes you could call it waiting 27:37 [Music] 27:48 irregularly Crimson Luna Arya 27:52 Arya the Crimson nocturn I like that 28:00 [Music] 28:05 all right yeah we'll do one I think I'll 28:08 do one actually why don't I just do it 28:09 now while that renders I'll do new 28:26 [Laughter] 28:30 let's see how bad we can make it and 28:32 turn it into something 28:35 musical we'll do uh let's see we'll do 28:37 test six on 28:39 this 28:41 um we'll put something before this one 28:44 that'll be interesting so we get rid of 28:48 that I'm going to grab test 28:51 six 28:53 confirm and then we're going to add an 28:56 intro to it and we're going to go 28:59 romantic classical let's 29:06 see let's see 29:10 um 29:18 electric we'll go down 29:20 Tempo we'll go down 29:25 tempo operadic 29:33 minimalism see if we can get some Philip 29:35 Glass going with my shitty vocals all 29:42 right hello J hello Captain mut I still 29:46 say making weird noises with your mouth 29:48 is the way to go it might be the way to 29:50 go let's see what my mediocre guitar 29:53 playing got us 29:56 [Music] 30:17 got 30:18 [Music] 30:22 nothing oh there it changed something 30:24 ooh that's nice 30:30 [Music] 30:43 that was 30:45 [Applause] 30:49 [Music] 30:55 weird can I review your GPT as called 30:58 clarify 31:01 AI yeah we can check that 31:07 out sounds like the beginning of of uh 31:10 the office 31:16 [Music] 31:30 that actually kind of gets pretty huh 31:35 interesting endless night 31:38 so 31:41 near Whisper 31:44 Soft we 31:48 hear Stars among the Twilight 31:54 Embrace shadows in the quiet space 32:00 gentle fall we Drift We 32:04 [Laughter] 32:06 [Music] 32:11 rise silent shadows in the moon soft 32:15 glow they 32:19 inne hushed Whispers in the okay that 32:22 was really bad but we'll keep we'll keep 32:26 that there we'll we'll do a section 32:30 after and let's do uh we'll do 32:35 um we'll do 32:38 um 32:40 Indie 32:43 pop 32:45 um 32:50 Harmony oh how about Harmony 32:54 pop 32:55 Acappella group 32:59 thank you very much whoever that is 33:01 Jilla thank you so much 33:03 40:19 and Sky 2028 it couldn't possibly be 40:23 worse register 40:26 now uhuh 40:30 uh so key takeaway stable audio is an 40:34 open source text to Audio model for 40:37 generating up to 47 second 40:41 samples seconds of samples and sound 40:44 effects users can create drum beats 40:47 instrument riffs ambient sounds fol and 40:49 production elements the model also 40:52 includes variations for style transfer 40:54 of audio samples interesting so here 40:57 here's warm arpeggios analog 41:03 [Music] 41:09 [Music] 41:10 synth can I highlight that no I 41:15 [Music] 41:17 can't I can't 41:20 breathe we've entered the puppet 41:22 Ministry evolution of the learning lab 41:27 so many Labs stressing me 41:29 out oh tabs stressing me out oh my tabs 41:33 I'm a tab hoarder you know I'm a tab 41:35 hoarder you Cindy you want to know what 41:38 I actually did some tab cleansing before 41:41 I came online because my tabs were so 41:43 small I couldn't see the icons anymore 41:45 it was pretty bad all right Blackbird 41:47 song Summer dusk in the 41:54 forest I want a shirt that says unstable 41:57 diffusion very 42:00 nice all right cool so okay so there's 42:04 that and then if I go back to this thing 42:08 how do I close 42:11 this click outside of it 42:14 yeah somebody made a hugging face thing 42:17 where you can actually go play with 42:20 this okay so our prompt is going to 42:23 be um 42:32 warm 42:35 piano 42:44 solo over 42:47 building 42:51 strings 42:53 and woodwind 43:01 Woodwinds all right we'll do 20 seconds 43:05 of 43:08 it submit okay and then this is going to 43:11 make some stuff 17 states have adopted 43:13 AI into their 43:15 education really is Pennsylvania one of 43:19 them because Mr K can't even [ __ ] 43:21 talk about it in his 43:26 classroom I wonder if it's going to let 43:28 me download this 43:35 [Music] 43:50 thing that's not good I'm just going to 43:53 say warm piano 43:55 solo builds 44:01 slowly 44:04 generate when is AI going to walk my dog 44:07 for me I need this more than 44:10 AGI uh probably not that long maybe two 44:17 years two years you'll be able to 44:22 uh finance a 44:24 robot that will probably 44:29 do mostly okay in most 44:32 [Laughter] 44:34 situations yeah I don't know I don't 44:37 know 44:38 man but it's a good 44:41 point everyone's talking about ASI and 44:43 AGI and knowledge workers it's like 44:45 could you just do the shitty 44:50 work we're still in music mode did this 44:53 go 45:02 that's 45:03 garbage let's 45:06 see 45:07 R 45:10 peggio 45:12 piano solo slowly builds all right let's 45:15 see how that goes that was my cat 45:18 walking on the piano keys yeah I know 45:19 this is this pretty bad I I assume for 45:24 um I assume for 45:28 sound effects this is probably 45:31 fine it it clearly wasn't trained on 45:34 good music 45:38 stuff ah was 45:46 close let's grab this 45:51 one all right it's weird enough 46:03 [Music] 46:06 confirm I did not steal this I generated 46:09 it okay so we're going to say 46:13 Min 46:15 malism 46:21 Orchestra 46:25 builds to a a 46:30 mad 46:33 Crescendo how do you spell 46:41 Crescendo I wonder if it knows what a 46:43 mad Crescendo is we'll do instrumental 46:45 and we'll go 46:48 go go champy 46:52 go time for the 46:55 cheese AGI dog walking service on it 46:59 Crescendo oh that's right SC I knew it 47:02 was one of those I knew it wasn't sh 47:05 that's why I wrote 47:07 sh the number in the live is 47:13 irregular the number in the the number 47:15 still in the live is irregular 47:17 absolutely surprisingly there are more 47:19 people in the live tonight than usual I 47:20 know it's funny um sounds like a 47:23 ringtone okay so we will we'll we'll get 47:25 on to some other stuff here um if you're 47:27 new here uh just be patient or 47:34 not this is how it rolls 47:37 sometimes so I was once called The 47:40 Forest Gump of the 47:42 Internet by a guy named Kay shery and 47:46 uh at an early thing he because we were 47:48 really successful early on in the early 47:50 days of the internet and he's like you 47:52 know what doesn't make any sense that 47:54 you're successful at this you just kind 47:55 of stumble your way into things I I 47:57 would not uh disagree with that so this 48:00 channel is kind of like a box of 48:03 chocolates yeah learning Labs like a box 48:06 of chocolates never know what you're 48:07 going to get yeah yeah yeah time for wer 48:12 yeah 48:15 [Music] 48:36 did it just give 48:37 up might have just given 48:41 up I might have broken 48:45 it I think I broke 48:49 [Music] 48:50 it I broke it 48:54 [Music] 49:10 it's like a Jacob klier 49:14 chord any note can work in in any song 49:17 in any 49:20 moment it I totally broke it there's 49:22 something about that pause between those 49:24 two 49:25 sections oh here we go 49:28 [Music] 49:38 there you go there's Philip 49:39 [Music] 49:55 Glass traveling 49:57 [Music] 50:02 daving sounds like songs from liquid 50:05 days all right I think I think we've had 50:08 enough of that [ __ ] nonsense all 50:10 right what do you want to talk about 50:11 tonight it's getting 50:13 worse oh yeah that was bad all 50:20 right I don't I I obviously don't know 50:22 how to use that feature that was that 50:24 was pretty 50:25 nasty um 50:27 I can go show you the LTX stuff if you 50:30 want 50:33 um so LTX now you can create a story 50:37 that's how you used to do it you write a 50:38 little prompt you can also start from 50:41 scratch which will just give you a blank 50:43 canvas and you can just add your own 50:44 scenes and add your own shots and then 50:47 visualize your concept you can just 50:49 input your idea and you literally paste 50:52 a script into 50:54 here so if I go let me see see if I go 50:58 to my hard 51:01 drive and type salmon did I have that up 51:05 here 51:07 yes let's 51:13 see Vietnam 1971 51:18 morning yeah here we go 51:32 fishing Bo okay interior nightclub 51:34 Vietnam 51:36 1971 so we'll go 51:40 there we'll go down to burning 51:44 helicopter this is 51:47 the the moment where salmon Jack's life 51:52 changed like what the [ __ ] is he talking 51:55 about it's a screenplay wrote 51:59 okay why do I have three cutto in there 52:02 let me get rid of two of 52:05 those okay so there's my little 52:12 script and so now it's going to read the 52:15 script it's going to assign 52:24 characters why are they wearing like 52:26 World War 52:28 one let's see let's see hang 52:32 on 52:35 Young 52:41 American solder in 52:49 Vietnam 52:52 wearing combat uniform 53:05 okay thanks Brandon I will get to 53:08 that accurately translate client's ideas 53:11 into action actionable technical plans 53:13 that's pretty funny all right we'll take 53:14 a look at 53:17 that wearing a combat uniform it's not 53:21 even 53:24 close come on Jack Smith 22 53:57 something's weird here all right 53:58 whatever so let's change it 54:01 to comic 54:09 book I don't know why it puts them in 54:11 dress uniforms it's not what it 54:16 says nobody's listening to 54:20 me whatever okay 54:28 fatigues yeah maybe I was going to put 54:31 fatigues but Combat Uniform it should 54:34 not be a fancy crisply you know folded 54:47 hat come 54:49 on oh come 54:53 on all right I had to do the puzzle 54:56 piece 54:57 okay so what it did after it failed to 55:00 do those characters right it it breaks 55:05 down it's got the synopsis and then it's 55:08 got different scenes so it's got 55:10 nightclub encounter helicopter incident 55:13 intimate 55:14 encounter and 55:19 so failed to generate background music I 55:22 did that earlier so this is just sort of 55:24 what LTX has has done 55:29 historically dim indoor lighting at a 55:32 Vietnamese 55:48 nightclub but anyway what's cool about 55:52 this is histo previously you couldn't do 55:54 this you couldn't upload a script 55:58 and have 55:59 it yeah it just it doesn't understand 56:01 Viet Viet the Vietnam 56:04 War maybe this the year is 56:15 [Laughter] 56:19 wrong oh man all right so that's LTX so 56:23 it's still jankier than [ __ ] but you can 56:26 now upload SC and you can also start 56:28 from scratch so I don't know if you saw 56:30 that Cindy [ __ ] but they launched all 56:32 this [ __ ] today and every we got a bunch 56:34 of people in here LTX things so if 56:37 you've got scripts or if you want to 56:38 work on scripts outside of LTX maybe 56:40 this is a more accurate way to get them 56:42 in there now it's one of the things they 56:45 demoed today was like a a whole bunch 56:48 like 20 or 30 scenes that they were 56:50 moving them around and things like that 56:52 I don't see that interface so I don't 56:54 think this is fully launched from from 56:56 what they preview today so I didn't pay 56:58 all that much 57:00 attention all right let's get started 57:03 we're an hour 57:07 in all right so what do we want to 57:14 do anybody got any questions about 57:17 generative AI tomorrow it's 57:20 possible not probable possible that we 57:24 get some features for chat GPT 57:27 and then I heard there was potentially 57:29 some other different Company 57:31 announcement coming tomorrow mod channel 57:34 oh yeah that's right 57:37 okay thank you Brandon Brandon keeping 57:40 me 57:44 honest all right so from J Silo clarify 57:49 AI translates 57:51 client okay how do I describe my project 57:55 requirements can you clearly 57:57 can you clarify this project detail 58:00 generate a technical spec for my 58:05 idea identify inconsistencies in my 58:08 project 58:09 plan let's do a technical spec for my 58:13 idea project 58:21 overview okay so one thing one thing I 58:24 would I would recommend jillo on this 58:27 thing is this this is one of the weird 58:30 ass subtleties 58:32 about gpts let me let me do a new 58:37 chat 58:39 so when you say 58:41 generate a technical spec from my idea 58:46 what you're saying to chat GPT 58:51 is you want it to create a technical 58:54 spec 58:58 and what you actually have to do is put 58:59 a prompt in there because if I'm if I'm 59:02 a client pushing that button I'm 59:05 expecting it to ask me okay what's your 59:07 idea so what I would do is I would put 59:11 in prompts that say follow these rules 59:13 if someone says how do I describe my 59:15 project like do it from the point of 59:18 view of someone using it not the point 59:20 of view of you telling chat GPT what to 59:23 do cuz if I just push these buttons it's 59:25 telling chat GPT to do that thing so if 59:27 I come in here and say um I 59:31 have an idea for a 59:36 project hopefully what it'll do is say 59:39 what's your idea you dumb dumb great I'd 59:41 love to hear about it please provide as 59:43 many details as possible right flip 59:45 camera please yeah oh sorry um so let me 59:49 go back and show that 59:51 again cuz I didn't I didn't have the 59:54 screen on listen I'm not the brightest 59:57 bulb on a tree you know what I mean um 1:00:00 okay so you the way you've got these 1:00:03 conversations starter questions written 1:00:06 you're telling the GPT to do that thing 1:00:09 but if I'm reading it as an account 1:00:11 person I'm expecting it to ask me okay 1:00:14 so what's your idea you see what I'm 1:00:15 saying okay he sees what I'm saying so 1:00:18 you can leave see I think these 1:00:19 questions are actually written well but 1:00:23 you need to put a set of rules in the 1:00:25 prompts that says and you just put them 1:00:26 in quote marks you literally copy and 1:00:28 paste the exact question and say if a 1:00:30 user asks this then respond you know 1:00:34 with a question asking them about their 1:00:36 idea or if they say if they click the 1:00:39 button identify inconsistencies in my 1:00:41 project plan you know respond with paste 1:00:44 or upload your project plan right 1:00:47 something like that so that'll help but 1:00:49 if I say um I have a 1:00:54 brilliant idea for 1:01:01 software fantastic I'd love to 1:01:04 help here are a few questions to guide 1:01:07 you okay so here's another thing that I 1:01:08 would 1:01:09 do 1:01:12 um this is one of my pet peeves of chat 1:01:15 gbt is it it does this is it'll vomit 1:01:18 out all the 1:01:20 questions so I think you could do one of 1:01:22 two things here I think you could say 1:01:24 you could put in prompting that says 1:01:27 um if someone says they've got an idea 1:01:29 or you know if if if a user talks about 1:01:33 their idea generally give them one of 1:01:36 two options do you want me to give you a 1:01:38 big long list of questions that I want 1:01:40 you to go answer and then come back and 1:01:41 tell me or do you want to do it as an 1:01:43 interactive back and forth because what 1:01:46 would be cool is is if this if if this 1:01:49 GPT essentially went into interview mode 1:01:52 right where it became like a discovery 1:01:55 session that that would be kind of cool 1:01:59 so because as an add guy when it vomits 1:02:02 out all those questions what happens in 1:02:04 my brain is oh God I don't want to 1:02:06 answer all that [ __ ] that's 1:02:08 exhausting but if it just said okay you 1:02:11 know um what's your basic idea who's it 1:02:15 for right if you've got all the basic qu 1:02:17 like you have all the questions in here 1:02:19 just put in some logic in there that 1:02:22 says 1:02:23 um you know either do it as an interview 1:02:26 or give the user a 1:02:28 chance um let's see 1:02:33 um let me see can you just ask me one 1:02:40 question at a 1:02:43 time of course what problem does your 1:02:47 software aim to 1:02:52 solve being able 1:02:55 to call customer service and sit on hold 1:02:58 for me for 45 minutes and not get hung 1:03:01 up 1:03:04 on great that sounds like a useful idea 1:03:07 let's move to the next question who's 1:03:08 your target 1:03:10 audience any human 1:03:13 being any human being that hates 1:03:17 machines that make them 1:03:20 wait cuz people are trying to save money 1:03:23 in their big ass corporations 1:03:29 that's what I'm struggling with wait 1:03:31 what are you struggling with I'm going 1:03:33 to update it but I'll wait oh okay cool 1:03:36 I was going to update it but I'll wait 1:03:37 okay cool um how would you rate the GPT 1:03:40 so far oh I'll give you a [ __ ] five 1:03:43 cuz you're in here asking about it 1:03:45 trying to make it better so [ __ ] them 1:03:47 with their stupid nonsense okay got it 1:03:49 your target audience is essentially 1:03:51 anyone frustrated with long hold times 1:03:53 and automated systems when dealing with 1:03:55 large corporations next question what 1:03:57 are the key features yeah I I like the 1:03:59 like I like this as an interactive tool 1:04:01 so I would just uh prompt it to do that 1:04:04 if you've just joined you're looking at 1:04:05 custom GPT created by JSO called clarify 1:04:08 AI so this is this is basically a GPT 1:04:12 to help clients be less 1:04:16 shitty what are the key features and 1:04:19 functionalities that you envision for 1:04:20 your 1:04:22 software I can record a 15c click clip 1:04:26 of my voice and then it will sound like 1:04:28 me on the phone and it knows enough of 1:04:31 my information to answer the security 1:04:37 questions while I 1:04:40 wait and play video 1:04:43 [Laughter] 1:04:54 games sounds very in ative let's break 1:04:57 it down next question are any unique 1:04:59 aspects or additional 1:05:02 features yes it should be able to call 1:05:04 me back or text 1:05:06 me as soon as a real human being gets on 1:05:10 the 1:05:12 line 1:05:14 period 1:05:16 period a bonus 1:05:18 feature would 1:05:20 be a shock collar interface 1:05:24 [Laughter] 1:05:28 excellent those features definitely add 1:05:30 to the uniqueness of your software do 1:05:32 you have any preferences or requirements 1:05:33 for technology 1:05:36 stack no that's what I want you 1:05:43 for next question how do you envision 1:05:45 user interface and user experience do 1:05:47 you have any specific user preferences 1:05:49 or 1:05:53 Inspirations I have two requirements 1:05:55 period 1:05:56 one it shouldn't suck period two it 1:06:01 should work 1:06:05 period I'm the worst I'm the worst with 1:06:09 with our our Dev 1:06:13 teams how do you plan to monetize your 1:06:16 software by charging $1 1:06:20 billion by charging $1 billion period it 1:06:24 may seem like a lot but only need one 1:06:30 customer that's a unique 1:06:33 approach actually so there might be 1:06:35 something interesting 1:06:39 if you could put an interesting piece of 1:06:42 logic in there that says if anyone says 1:06:45 anything something that's really out of 1:06:48 bounds where it doesn't seem normal that 1:06:50 they should you you could ask more 1:06:53 questions about that specific thing 1:06:55 what's your desired timeline for 1:06:59 development 6 months and 1:07:08 $300,000 all right hold 1:07:11 helper create software key features 1:07:14 target audience unique selling points 1:07:16 technical requirements no specific 1:07:19 preferences okay yep prioritize 1:07:23 userfriendly design ensure that the 1:07:24 software Works reliable 1:07:27 fine monetization strategy charge a 1:07:30 premium with an ambitious goal of 1:07:31 securing a single high value customer 1:07:35 timeline budget next 1:07:38 steps yeah pretty slick yeah the the 1:07:40 only thing I would do is just you know I 1:07:43 with with the problem with gpts right 1:07:46 now is that they 1:07:49 don't they don't re they don't have a a 1:07:52 way for you to start 1:07:54 them like you when you log into it you 1:07:57 can't have it do something right ideally 1:07:59 what this thing does is hey welcome and 1:08:04 um you know tell start telling me your 1:08:08 idea and it's it's it kicks off the 1:08:10 conversation another way you could do 1:08:12 this JSO is um instead of having four 1:08:18 starter questions just have one and that 1:08:21 one starter question says click here to 1:08:23 start or start here and then in your in 1:08:26 your prompting questions you you say 1:08:28 when someone says start here then you 1:08:30 start you start the process the 1:08:31 interview process charge a 1:08:34 premium give me a chart to 1:08:38 start yeah there you go or give me a 1:08:40 chart to start yeah something like 1:08:42 that that could be oh let me try 1:08:44 something 1:08:45 here I don't know if if do you have uh I 1:08:50 don't I think I think this will work so 1:08:52 if I do new 1:08:54 chat I'm going to upload 1:08:59 Lo 1:09:13 whiteboard um help me spec this 1:09:21 out so I just uploaded a whiteboard 1:09:24 that's got a bunch of like target 1:09:27 audience features and a bunch of screen 1:09:34 drawings to create a comprehensive spec 1:09:37 DOC for the airport food ordering UI so 1:09:40 so it recognized it the project is an a 1:09:44 UI for ordering airport food services 1:09:47 business Travelers and families I've 1:09:48 done this enough that that's right 1:09:51 benefits main steps payment additional 1:09:54 features UI 1:09:58 wireframes non-functional requirements 1:10:01 oh this is good oh it's still going 1:10:03 development plan uh I'm going to say 1:10:10 um that's what it's meant for oh cool 1:10:13 awesome great yeah this is perfect yeah 1:10:15 see you should find a way like maybe 1:10:18 that starter thing is just hang 1:10:23 on maybe that start thing is you know 1:10:29 upload you know wireframes you know 1:10:33 upload an image of a whiteboard session 1:10:35 or documents or when you click get 1:10:39 started it says here's how to use this 1:10:41 thing and it drops you some instructions 1:10:44 that that would be 1:10:45 good forever hook bugging out early long 1:10:48 day today and another tomorrow all right 1:10:50 thank you for ever hook thanks for 1:10:51 hanging out now ask for the tech specs 1:10:54 okay um 1:10:56 can I now have the text 1:11:04 specs oh it said text 1:11:12 specs I meant technical specs 1:11:30 menu 1:11:32 management get menu post menu put menu 1:11:36 ID delete menu 1:11:39 ID slick yeah this is 1:11:52 good um 1:12:00 create a 1:12:05 UI uh design mood 1:12:09 board for the ordering 1:12:15 screen see if it does UI we've been 1:12:18 suggesting a user Spotlight night 1:12:20 forever people love that it's an ego 1:12:24 thing yeah it's cool this is cool I like 1:12:30 it do you have image generation turned 1:12:32 on you might want to turn image 1:12:33 generation on on this 1:12:38 thing although it depends on the 1:12:40 audience if you're just looking 1:12:42 for but like clients might want to see 1:12:45 what's that going to look like like this 1:12:46 has got a bunch of robotto [ __ ] 1:12:50 and oh this is it looks like it's trying 1:12:53 to 1:12:56 looks like it's trying to display images 1:12:59 but they aren't 1:13:02 there huh 1:13:06 weird can you make 1:13:12 oops can you make that a drawing please 1:13:28 if anyone's looking for a developer I'm 1:13:30 unemployed send me a DM nice 1:13:34 awesome and you'll get a good text back 1:13:36 out of him at a 1:13:37 [Laughter] 1:13:46 minimum join the jillo if you haven't 1:13:48 joined the uh AI Salon oh yeah Brandon 1:13:51 good call not on Discord So Much Anymore 1:13:54 exactly all right that's pretty 1:13:57 good there's the design mood board nice 1:14:01 it's pretty 1:14:03 slick and by the way if you haven't 1:14:05 played with chat GPT in this way where 1:14:08 you just sort of dig and ask it for this 1:14:10 and that and the other and UI elements 1:14:13 and now watch we can say 1:14:16 um we can go 1:14:20 uh write me the starter code for the 1:14:24 front end the back end and the 1:14:33 database I'm in the Discord orbit jumper 1:14:36 great join the join the uh the AI Salon 1:14:40 uh website it's mighty networks and use 1:14:42 your use your real name over there get 1:14:44 to know some people in there it can help 1:14:46 with the with the work 1:14:49 stuff and also just sort of you know 1:14:52 partner up with people show up to 1:14:54 meetings do projects all of that stuff 1:14:57 will 1:15:02 help Chachi just blows me 1:15:06 away it really does people it really 1:15:09 does it's just crazy it's 1:15:11 Coco at CoCo do we have any new features 1:15:16 connected apps let's go to speech got 1:15:19 nothing new do we have Sky back yet 1:15:22 no all right all right very cool 1:15:25 congrats Jilla that's pretty nice I like 1:15:27 it I like it I think just tighten up the 1:15:30 opening the initial 1:15:32 experience 1:15:34 um and anything you can do to give 1:15:40 people some instructions so I think I 1:15:43 think just a single thing that says 1:15:44 start here and it explains what this 1:15:47 thing does and what its intent is this 1:15:49 is yeah it's called clarify AI with with 1:15:52 no 1:15:53 space by Jesus 1:15:56 cillo or 1:15:59 cillo dep depending on how many 1:16:02 generations right you've been 1:16:08 here um I'm not a Dev but chat GPT 1:16:12 thinks I 1:16:15 am what's the name to look for on the 1:16:19 salon. 1:16:21 a uh for Jesus I don't know I don't know 1:16:24 if he's on the salon 1:16:26 oh if you go to the salon. a that's a 1:16:28 link tree click on the first link that 1:16:30 says the AI Salon Community that's where 1:16:32 you want to join and that'll take you to 1:16:35 AIS salon. mn. but that's a weird thing 1:16:39 so the salon. AI is just easier to say 1:16:41 and 1:16:42 remember best tool to create Tik Tock AI 1:16:45 videos oh I there's a there's a ton of 1:16:48 them out there um and it depends if you 1:16:51 want to create them from scratch or if 1:16:53 you want to chop down longer videos 1:16:56 I for something like that Samy's gift 1:16:58 shop I would go to um futurepedia 1:17:02 which is a big massive list of tools and 1:17:05 then I would just look up Tik Tok video 1:17:07 right there and see what tools come up 1:17:09 and just start experimenting cuz when 1:17:12 you get when you start getting into 1:17:13 really 1:17:15 tactical executions like that down at 1:17:18 the channel level now you're talking 1:17:19 about really specific tools so there's 1:17:22 there's probably dozens out there and 1:17:24 out of those dozens there are probably 1:17:27 at least two that don't 1:17:32 suck most of them suck right now even 1:17:36 though they're remarkable like 1:17:37 everything's built on this janky ass you 1:17:39 know generative AI 1:17:42 infrastructure and so um almost all the 1:17:45 tools are very slick on the surface um 1:17:48 but but break down pretty quickly when 1:17:50 you actually try to use them 1:17:55 [Music] 1:17:58 Source cam Can you hire all of 1:17:59 [Laughter] 1:18:02 us I'm in the Discord the problem in the 1:18:05 Discord is no one else is in the Discord 1:18:07 Jesus so I would I would hop over to uh 1:18:10 hop over to the web the web thing I mean 1:18:13 you can post stuff in the Discord it's 1:18:15 just people aren't a lot of people 1:18:17 aren't 1:18:18 there share your gpts uh there's a whole 1:18:22 share your GPT section in the in the web 1:18:25 so let me go show you so if you go 1:18:30 to there if you go to the 1:18:34 salon. that's going to take 1:18:40 [Music] 1:18:44 you to here so this is our Mighty 1:18:47 Network server so AI salon and it should 1:18:49 dump you into welcome to the AI 1:18:51 salon and we talk about what we're up to 1:18:55 our motto is play 1:18:57 first we're a talented group of Misfits 1:19:00 Nero Wells and those brave enough to 1:19:02 face the terrifying uncertainty and 1:19:05 exciting inevitability of generative AI 1:19:08 head-on We Gather to support and Inspire 1:19:10 one another to step in to step into the 1:19:12 unknown together on this journey we play 1:19:15 first mindfully create and generously 1:19:18 lead to ReDiscover ourselves and 1:19:20 reinvent the work we do if we succeed on 1:19:22 our journey we just may bend the Ark of 1:19:24 humanity 1:19:25 ever so slightly toward the light and 1:19:28 then play first mindfully create and 1:19:30 generously lead and then we talk about 1:19:32 what that means and then we have our 1:19:34 values curiosity playfulness empathy 1:19:40 bravery and generosity all right so go 1:19:44 check that out and then in here there's 1:19:47 in the community section first thing you 1:19:48 should do Jesus and any of any of you 1:19:51 who are who are looking if if that 1:19:52 sounds interesting to you go to the in 1:19:55 the community section to introduce 1:19:57 yourself and introduce yourself say hi 1:19:59 to people say what you're about say say 1:20:01 What's Going On say where you are on the 1:20:04 AI 1:20:05 Journey um if you're brand brand new to 1:20:08 this stuff the play first and AI tools 1:20:10 section this is a list that I I maintain 1:20:13 personally so again we talk about those 1:20:16 three things of play first mindfully 1:20:18 create and generously lead and then this 1:20:20 is a big ass list of 1:20:23 tools and it EXP you know which ones do 1:20:27 what and all sorts of stuff like that 1:20:29 and then there's a water cooler area if 1:20:31 you just want to shoot the [ __ ] there's 1:20:33 a news section Shameless self-promotions 1:20:36 if you have stuff you want to show off 1:20:37 but there's a whole showand tell area 1:20:39 for images music video and animation and 1:20:42 gpts and apps and then there's guilds 1:20:45 and these are all little sub communities 1:20:47 headed up by different leaders within 1:20:48 the community all right so go check that 1:20:51 out and we on this channel we have our 1:20:53 own club down here at the bottom called 1:20:55 Community Club so if you go to AI 1:20:57 Irregulars that's us and if you get 1:21:00 bored in here which happens a 1:21:03 lot it it's just not good like I I'm I'm 1:21:07 better than ambient putting people to 1:21:09 sleep so if that happens you can go 1:21:12 start messing around with AI and you can 1:21:14 share stuff in the Irregulars and do 1:21:17 like funny show showdown at the cake her 1:21:19 out music only 1:21:22 Salon who did that Mr it he's so bitter 1:21:27 I love 1:21:28 it the AI learning lab puppet 1:21:32 show perplexity showing in Google AI 1:21:35 overviews featured Snippets already wow 1:21:38 that's 1:21:40 crazy new background conversation in 1:21:43 Mobile 1:21:45 yep all 1:21:47 right so go show some [ __ ] off over 1:21:50 there all right so that's the AI Salon 1:21:52 it's super cool you should join it 1:21:56 you should join it people listen people 1:21:59 Hi boss hello 113 sunno is down oh what 1:22:04 does that mean is it really 1:22:12 down 1:22:14 [Music] 1:22:18 um 1:22:24 C seems like it's working for me 1:22:32 [Music] 1:22:50 [Music] 1:22:55 did it make 1:22:59 [Music] 1:23:21 songs w 1:23:26 suo seems to be 1:23:28 working sunno is 1:23:32 okay 1:23:39 um what site is that that site I was 1:23:41 just on was sunno the one before that 1:23:43 was chat 1:23:50 GPT what's sunno again briefly okay 1:23:53 sunno and you studio so sun.com and 1:23:56 ud.com like Studio but without the 1:23:59 St are two different music 1:24:02 generation 1:24:04 services 1:24:06 sunno so the cool thing about sunno is 1:24:10 you can make a 4minute song with a 1:24:12 single prompt so what you can do is run 1:24:15 over to chat GPT get into a little 1:24:18 conversation about writing a song come 1:24:21 up with a concept or 10 have it write 1:24:23 some lyrics fix the lyrics up so you're 1:24:26 happy with them and then copy and paste 1:24:29 them into sunno and hit make song at of 1:24:32 whatever style you want also have chat 1:24:35 GPT tell you that and it'll just make a 1:24:38 four a Joker's 1:24:43 out C you said sun down oh and it's suo 1:24:49 down 1:24:53 oh oh that's pretty funny wait so Silver 1:24:58 Fox didn't say suo down she said Sundown 1:25:02 I think that was in In Her Image oh oh 1:25:06 soono down I get it I get 1:25:12 it oh like Showdown I see 1:25:16 h i I'm slow 1:25:20 listen you can make money 1:25:23 [Laughter] 1:25:28 you know honest to God I'll tell you 1:25:30 what this's something funny about AI 1:25:34 okay so we have this new tagline for the 1:25:37 salon play first right and part of the 1:25:40 reason for that is 1:25:43 that it's very easy to get overwhelmed 1:25:46 with these 1:25:47 tools the other thing about these tools 1:25:50 if you take them too seriously right now 1:25:54 they can be maddeningly 1:25:57 frustrating so if you go into using AI 1:26:00 tools with expectations of like these 1:26:02 things are going to work 1:26:04 awesome it's going to be a [ __ ] show if 1:26:08 you go into them thinking like eh it's 1:26:11 kind of like a toy it's kind of like 1:26:13 having a tamagachi in the 1:26:15 90s if you leave it in your school desk 1:26:18 it doesn't really 1:26:19 matter I mean some people it did but for 1:26:22 the most part not um 1:26:27 and 1:26:31 that's like some nights I come in here 1:26:34 and I feel like I can do no wrong 1:26:35 everything I touch I'm like yeah it's 1:26:37 good that's good I got this down and 1:26:39 then there's nights like tonight where 1:26:41 everything I try sounds like a steaming 1:26:43 pile of [ __ ] or looks like a steaming 1:26:46 pile of [ __ ] or is a steaming pile of 1:26:49 [ __ ] there's champy right over 1:26:53 there AI if use correctly will save us 1:26:55 climate change politics and much more 1:26:57 yeah I agree Su 1:27:00 [Laughter] 1:27:03 suio or audio without the a oh yeah it's 1:27:08 probably that's that's probably right 1:27:11 William Brown just joined welcome 1:27:14 welcome welcome welcome 1:27:18 welcome the site with the resources is 1:27:21 the AI salon so if you go to 1:27:29 go to the salon. 1:27:32 a right 1:27:33 there it's going to take you to a link 1:27:36 tree the top link on the link tree says 1:27:38 AI Salon Community click on that that's 1:27:41 the site with the 1:27:42 resources so read read about what the 1:27:45 salon's about in the welcome section 1:27:48 introduce yourself in the community 1:27:49 section and then go to play first and AI 1:27:51 tools and that's the big long list what 1:27:54 did your tagachi do today it almost 1:27:56 started a company but forgot to out feed 1:27:58 it 1:27:59 exactly exactly I was on my way to the 1:28:02 nervous 1:28:08 Hospital oh my God that's really funny 1:28:12 I'm blowing friends 1:28:16 Minds try playing your track where's 1:28:18 your track in uh over in 1:28:30 is this 1:28:40 [Music] 1:28:40 [Applause] 1:28:43 it running high flying strong leading 1:28:47 Cloud couldn't be wrong more hope a 1:28:51 surpr the Shadows look hidden from 1:28:55 [Music] 1:29:08 nice 1:29:11 um what was I was there another song in 1:29:15 here that I missed I don't think 1:29:19 so no 1:29:27 oh I noticed something cool you want to 1:29:29 see something cool useful but you can 1:29:32 tell you can tell that that open AI has 1:29:36 hired some some ux people so for example 1:29:40 on this thing they haven't migrated this 1:29:42 over to the um the custom gpts but 1:29:46 notice how like these these are sort of 1:29:48 nicely laid out and they have a 1:29:51 different colored icons those might even 1:29:53 be categorized for some reason or in 1:29:56 some way um but okay so in chat GPT you 1:30:01 have these three modes right you've got 1:30:04 chat gp4 Omni you've got GPT 1:30:10 for 1:30:13 previous and then you have 3.5 so notice 1:30:16 they each have their own little icon 1:30:19 so I can 1:30:22 say write me the lyrics of a song 1:30:25 about Long Island 1:30:29 Sound in the Calm before the 1:30:34 storm all 1:30:36 right so it's going to write us those 1:30:39 lyrics I'm going to go copy 1:30:44 this and then I'm going to go I'm going 1:30:46 to switch to a different model GPT 4 1:30:50 same prompt 1:31:02 yeah see I like GPT 4's lyric lyrics 1:31:06 writing better than GPT 4 1:31:10 omnis the feedback on gp4 Omni still 1:31:14 seems very very split to me it's like 1:31:16 it's like some people [ __ ] hate it 1:31:18 and some people [ __ ] love it so now 1:31:20 I'm going to go to 3.5 we're going to 1:31:22 use the same prompt there that'll be 1:31:24 faster because it's 1:31:26 3.5 1:31:29 zip but now look what they did down 1:31:32 below the prompt they've got the little 1:31:34 icon and if you roll over it it shows 1:31:37 the model and then you can even change 1:31:39 the model can I does it rewrite that 1:31:41 prompt oh it 1:31:44 does fascinating 1:31:56 huh pretty slick I just want to say that 1:32:00 you're the man in this world is blessed 1:32:02 for having you helping oh thank you so 1:32:04 much that's very very sweet I appreciate 1:32:07 that I I uh I do my best I think it's 1:32:11 important for for all of us to be in 1:32:14 this conversation on a regular basis I 1:32:16 made a sunno song about my cat that just 1:32:18 passed away and it's so generally moving 1:32:20 it makes people cry I so here's the 1:32:23 thing I 1:32:25 I'm thank you for sharing that and I'm 1:32:27 sorry about you losing your cat it's 1:32:30 losing pets is just [ __ ] awful like 1:32:32 pets are just the most amazing thing and 1:32:34 then you know 1:32:36 Unfortunately they are in a different 1:32:38 time time scale than we are and it just 1:32:41 sucks 1:32:49 um I feel like we're in a very strange 1:32:53 surreal time right now well for many 1:32:56 many reasons we're in a strange surreal 1:32:58 time but but when it comes to the phase 1:33:01 that we're in 1:33:03 of this transition into a future with AI 1:33:07 where AI is this ubiquitous force in our 1:33:11 lives right now there's all this 1:33:13 nonsense about did you make that with AI 1:33:17 is that AI music is that AI art 1:33:27 if you 1:33:28 create with 1:33:33 intentionality whether you use an AI 1:33:36 tool a guitar or just hum a song or just 1:33:39 write the lyrics out by hand or have 1:33:41 chat GPT write them out and then you 1:33:43 tweak them if you're writing it from a 1:33:46 from an intentional place you can make 1:33:50 remarkably good work very very fast it's 1:33:53 one of the joys of AI is that you can 1:33:56 take ideas and express them very 1:34:00 quickly and and in fact you can express 1:34:03 them so quickly you can do 10 ideas 1:34:06 where you wouldn't have even been able 1:34:08 to come up with one fully expressed idea 1:34:10 and now you have 10 to choose from and 1:34:12 you can mix and match and and so yeah it 1:34:14 doesn't surprise me that you that you 1:34:16 created a song you know about your cat 1:34:20 and your experience with your cat or the 1:34:22 cat and what the cat was all about about 1:34:25 that's very moving it doesn't surprise 1:34:26 me at all and you know it's funny the 1:34:30 the the weird Mary song that we made 1:34:32 here on the live that I play on the 1:34:34 guitar 1:34:36 [Music] 1:34:39 now that chord progression those two 1:34:43 chords played in 1:34:45 [Music] 1:34:51 that champion NOS 1:34:54 [Music] 1:35:05 see the hill is a quiet 1:35:08 town where the oak trees 1:35:11 sway whistle of the train Echoes through 1:35:15 the 1:35:18 day people you with a KN nothing ever 1:35:22 seems to change 1:35:24 [Music] 1:35:25 story is still unfold each unique and 1:35:32 strange that's not an AI 1:35:35 song that's a 1:35:38 song that was written with 1:35:45 AI if you do good work it's good work it 1:35:48 doesn't [ __ ] matter and frankly it's 1:35:50 no one's [ __ ] business what tool you 1:35:52 used 1:35:55 thank you TR thank you everybody thank 1:35:57 you for those gifts they mean a lot 1:36:00 seriously 1:36:03 um do we do we ask a photographer if 1:36:06 they used Photoshop or 1:36:11 Lightroom do we ask an illustrator what 1:36:14 brand of pastels they 1:36:17 use because if they if they used pastels 1:36:20 from Walmart we won't consider it art 1:36:25 maybe 1:36:28 Joe but it's it's the equivalent of that 1:36:31 in my 1:36:33 opinion but there's this there's we're 1:36:35 in this weird weird 1:36:37 weird surreal moment in history where it 1:36:42 matters a lot it's it's if if you're old 1:36:45 enough to know you know cameras used to 1:36:49 have this stuff called film inside them 1:36:51 and there was this 1:36:53 company gather around the fire kids 1:36:55 there was this company called Kodak they 1:36:58 were in Upstate New York and everybody 1:37:00 loved 1:37:02 them and they made this thing called 1:37:05 film and on the film we would capture 1:37:08 ghosts of humans and 1:37:12 trees we would put it in chemicals and 1:37:15 the silver H would come to 1:37:18 life and when the digital camera came 1:37:21 out what did the photographers say 1:37:24 is that digital photography that's not 1:37:26 real 1:37:29 photography and what about when the film 1:37:32 camera came 1:37:34 out and the 1:37:36 painters what did what did uh Paul 1:37:39 delouch in 1:37:42 18 47 1:37:44 1857 upon seeing the darger type the 1:37:47 very first camera he saw a print from a 1:37:50 deera type he said from today painting 1:37:53 is dead 1:37:55 dead painting's not 1:37:57 dead but there's a new 1:38:01 tool photography is not 1:38:04 dead music's not 1:38:07 dead that weird Mary song is a good 1:38:12 song independent of how it was 1:38:18 created that's my two [ __ ] 1:38:21 sents I don't think we need to label 1:38:23 this [ __ ] AI 1:38:26 detectors that did you use 1:38:30 AI now there's a whole different issue 1:38:34 of 1:38:35 [Laughter] 1:38:38 authenticity is is you know is something 1:38:41 created fraudulent like like like it's 1:38:43 it's not so much the tool it's how the 1:38:44 tool is 1:38:47 used and I think we're going to I think 1:38:49 we're probably in the next two years 1:38:51 we're we're we're we are all going to 1:38:57 confront what it means to not know if 1:39:00 something is from someone or not or if 1:39:02 it's just propaganda or if it's just 1:39:04 fake or if it's really from someone or 1:39:07 not I and and and not just written stuff 1:39:10 like all sorts of 1:39:12 stuff so I think we're going to I think 1:39:15 we're going to be forced into a into 1:39:17 some sort of 1:39:18 tokenization or no we won't be forced 1:39:20 into it I think it will become very very 1:39:22 clear to people 1:39:24 that we need to do something about 1:39:26 authenticity and attribution and Trust 1:39:30 wild all right I have to thank you all 1:39:33 the AI pilot and work and I know much 1:39:35 more than all 50 people oh you did an AI 1:39:38 pilot and work you know you know you 1:39:40 know more than all 50 people there 1:39:43 that's why they keep come coming back 1:39:44 here wait Kyle and turtles I have to 1:39:48 thank you all in AI pilot at work and I 1:39:51 know more than all 50 people in 1:39:54 in it awesome 1:39:58 awesome that's the other thing about 1:40:00 play there there's an Insidious thing 1:40:02 about this Channel and the fact that I 1:40:04 do this is kind of this absurdest you 1:40:07 know idiot kind of 1:40:09 character 1:40:14 um I I personally think it's easier to 1:40:17 learn when you're having fun when you're 1:40:19 just engaged 1:40:24 if you're neurotypical I would imagine 1:40:26 that this channel is kind of frustrating 1:40:28 because it doesn't really doesn't really 1:40:30 follow an agenda it doesn't follow an 1:40:32 agenda at 1:40:34 all and every time I try to follow an 1:40:36 agenda I just break it it's just the way 1:40:38 my brain works I just 1:40:40 can't I have no interest in 1:40:45 it but even if I'm talking about [ __ ] 1:40:47 you've heard before your brain's 1:40:50 processing it subconsciously or if I'm 1:40:52 talking and you're working on something 1:40:53 else you're doing AI you're in the AI 1:40:56 conversation as I was talking with Jesus 1:40:59 about his 1:41:01 GPT if you've built a GPT you're 1:41:03 probably thinking like oh [ __ ] do I have 1:41:05 to go do that with my GPT and maybe I 1:41:07 should do this with the prompt and that 1:41:09 with the prompt all of that critical 1:41:11 thinking that you're doing while we're 1:41:12 just [ __ ] around 1:41:14 here is is anchoring is sort of 1:41:18 deepening your learning and making it 1:41:20 more organic 1:41:23 but will these AI generated art songs 1:41:25 Etc be able to be copywritten I don't 1:41:28 know and I here here's the thing Firefly 1:41:31 and this is this is something that I I I 1:41:35 I have no 1:41:38 zero good answer 1:41:48 for if we're moving into the whole 1:41:52 purpose of copyright 1:41:56 was to protect the rights of the 1:41:58 creators 1:42:00 particularly when reproducing the work 1:42:03 was really difficult or really 1:42:06 expensive and it's gone from you 1:42:10 know turn of the century everything was 1:42:14 handcrafted to the ' 50s it was kind of 1:42:17 mass-produced to the '90s where it was 1:42:20 super mass-produced and then it went 1:42:22 digital 1:42:24 and then the internet came along and 1:42:26 then it it got you know easy to 1:42:30 replicate you know to to yeah to 1:42:33 replicate stuff and then that's when all 1:42:35 the copyright holders came up with all 1:42:36 these copyright protection schemes and 1:42:39 all of these copyright technologies that 1:42:41 [ __ ] everything up and didn't work and 1:42:43 right it was just a mess and now 1:42:45 everything's on Spotify and all the 1:42:47 rights are all [ __ ] up and there's so 1:42:49 many channels and there's so much 1:42:51 content out there that nobody's making 1:42:52 any money anymore 1:42:57 we ain't seen nothing 1:42:59 yet if you truly 1:43:02 democratize the 1:43:05 creation down to the individual where 1:43:08 your 1:43:09 seven-year-old could create as 1:43:11 compelling a song as 1:43:14 Eminem and maybe more so because he's 1:43:17 going to make something about a peanut 1:43:18 butter and jelly sandwich that's going 1:43:20 to be a [ __ ] Banger That Eminem 1:43:22 wouldn't have thought of because he's an 1:43:24 old man 1:43:28 now and if at any moment I can just turn 1:43:33 on some version of Spotify that 1:43:36 understands how I'm feeling emotionally 1:43:38 cuz it's been working with me all day it 1:43:40 knows all of what's going on and it just 1:43:44 dynamically makes songs for me that 1:43:46 improve my 1:43:50 mood a lot of those songs I listen to I 1:43:54 might only listen to one 1:43:56 time and then they might only be played 1:43:58 one time in the history of the 1:44:02 world like what's the value of copyright 1:44:05 in in in that future if you go five if 1:44:07 you sort of carry this out five years 1:44:08 and everything is hyper personalized and 1:44:13 instant and I don't know the answer to 1:44:15 it like that's that's the [ __ ] up 1:44:17 thing or Ramen yeah the the ramen song 1:44:20 The Ramen song was a 1:44:22 banger that we did last night or the 1:44:24 night 1:44:30 before now if I do a really popular song 1:44:33 and it gets really popular it gets 1:44:34 millions of streams or millions of views 1:44:36 or millions of 1:44:37 listens it would be nice to be 1:44:41 compensated for that but we just played 1:44:43 with the the udio technology where I can 1:44:45 take the beginning of a song and just it 1:44:48 will compose the rest of it 1:44:54 like what is the value of copyright for 1:44:57 this 1:45:05 tool and I'm I'm I'm asking these 1:45:09 questions like I have an answer I 1:45:15 don't day one streak I got four credits 1:45:20 woohoo all right I'm on Deco here by the 1:45:22 way 1:45:25 all right so if I go to this thing this 1:45:28 Deco here I go to my save things I click 1:45:31 on that button I have now just opened up 1:45:35 what Deco here calls a 1:45:38 station and what a station is is like a 1:45:41 radio station rather than playing music 1:45:44 it plays 1:45:46 art and it's generating an original 1:45:49 piece every second 1:45:53 over and over and over and any one of 1:45:55 these pieces I can click on it and go oh 1:45:57 I love that and I can save it and I can 1:46:00 upscale 1:46:02 it let's add some creativity to 1:46:06 that I can even turn this into a movie 1:46:09 let's add a bunch of movement to this 1:46:10 and see what we get out of it bang and 1:46:13 then I can go back here and then I can I 1:46:15 can even go into this thing 1:46:18 and let's see how do I do that oh I can 1:46:22 copy what the where where the hell did 1:46:24 that go did I lose that 1:46:27 uh I guess I did that was 1:46:30 weird 1:46:42 um all right so here we are here I can 1:46:44 copy this URL and and I could post this 1:46:48 in fact I will I'm going to post this in 1:46:50 the AI Irregulars 1:46:53 the AI Salon Irregulars channel so here 1:46:56 we are in the Irregulars channel in cool 1:46:58 things share cool things I'm going to 1:47:01 share that station so if you go into AI 1:47:04 Irregulars Channel right 1:47:06 now and you click on that 1:47:10 channel we all of us will be looking at 1:47:15 exactly the same 1:47:17 art any one of us can take any one of 1:47:19 these pieces and turn it into its own 1:47:21 station so if if I if I love that piece 1:47:24 I'm like oh yeah that speaks to me that 1:47:26 looks like New York City in the in the 1:47:28 late 80s I want to turn this into a 1:47:31 station it's going 1:47:33 to in a second here create a brand new 1:47:38 station that's based on that 1:47:43 image and any one of these I can go oo I 1:47:46 love this let me save that to my 1:47:51 library so my my question then becomes 1:47:56 like might you want to protect some of 1:47:59 this you might but is there value in 1:48:03 protecting it if what you're competing 1:48:07 with 1:48:08 is 1:48:10 infinite 1:48:11 unprompted image 1:48:14 generation I don't know look at this 1:48:16 thing that's [ __ ] 1:48:20 gorgeous so I I got I I don't have 1:48:23 answer on this one this is just 1:48:25 something that I I grapple 1:48:28 with like is Disney ever going to let go 1:48:31 of chasing down copyright and copyright 1:48:33 infringers absolutely 1:48:36 not are are certain copyrights worth 1:48:39 millions and millions of dollars 1:48:41 absolutely do I think that there's value 1:48:45 in your likeness and your voice 1:48:48 absolutely and I think that's going to 1:48:49 need to be 1:48:51 protected I just don't know that 1:48:53 copyright as it as it was initially 1:48:56 intended and as it currently works like 1:48:59 it doesn't feel like it makes 1:49:03 sense in this world we're moving 1:49:11 into you know which is 1:49:14 weird it's 1:49:20 weird love this 1:49:26 um let's go to my 1:49:29 library so is this my upscale I think it 1:49:40 is no that's my upscale oh 1:49:51 compare yeah that's pretty slick 1:49:53 we'll download 1:49:55 that and then we made a movie of this 1:49:57 thing 1:49:59 too oh that's so 1:50:02 [Laughter] 1:50:05 cool that is so 1:50:12 cool only listen to a song once we may 1:50:16 have to revoke your ADHD card that's a 1:50:18 great Point well you know it's you know 1:50:21 it's funny so long serenade like weird 1:50:23 Mary I can't I've had weird Mary in my 1:50:26 head now since we made it I can't get it 1:50:28 out and then I've got three or four 1:50:30 songs from My Musical that I can't get 1:50:32 out of my 1:50:34 head there's one other song that we made 1:50:37 in this Channel that I can't get out of 1:50:38 my head so I've got a bunch of AI songs 1:50:40 stuck in my head totally what are you 1:50:43 making this in this is in um Deco here 1:50:46 app. deoh 1:50:49 here.com 1:50:51 and they've got this new thing called 1:50:57 stations there's how you spell Deco here 1:51:00 by the 1:51:01 way up there and stations are like radio 1:51:05 like a radio station plays songs over 1:51:07 and over Deco here stations play 1:51:10 generate 1:51:11 images an image a 1:51:15 second for for infinity or until it 1:51:17 times out I think it times out after a 1:51:21 while but every one of these images is 1:51:24 an original 1:51:26 image which is mind-blowing to 1:51:32 me and if I see something I 1:51:36 like like that's pretty groovy I can 1:51:39 just turn that into a station same I 1:51:41 listen to the AI learning lab music more 1:51:44 than any other music well you know 1:51:46 what's funny Source Camp I'll tell you 1:51:49 why you know we we've talked about this 1:51:52 before I I am I am a deep deep deep deep 1:51:57 believer that being in community is 1:52:00 going to be the way that we all work in 1:52:04 the 1:52:05 future um we're not going to necessarily 1:52:08 work in companies I I think companies 1:52:10 are going to shift I think the nature of 1:52:12 work is going to 1:52:13 shift and I think who we start working 1:52:16 with 1:52:18 is people that we know and people that 1:52:20 we trust and people that we're in 1:52:22 community with 1:52:25 and one of the things about this 1:52:28 community the Irregulars the people that 1:52:30 show up here night after night after 1:52:32 night I think one of the 1:52:35 reasons you dig that music is you 1:52:38 actually helped create it right like 1:52:40 that that's the thing like weird Mary is 1:52:42 this there's certain lines in there that 1:52:45 I remember when someone someone just you 1:52:47 know sort of blurted out the here's the 1:52:49 perfect you know line for that for that 1:52:51 rhyme or whatever it was 1:52:56 and so we all had a hand in that thing 1:52:58 and so it was this 1:53:00 co-creation and so there's so it's not 1:53:03 just a song right it's it's it's it's 1:53:05 this it's this some other 1:53:07 thing I mean even Mr it going oh no 1:53:10 notso 1:53:12 again you know for one thing it makes me 1:53:14 want to go toso more because I'm a 1:53:18 rebel but but it also like it it just 1:53:23 there's sort of lore that's created 1:53:24 around it and there's like it it like 1:53:26 there's a community of trust being 1:53:28 created and so I think all of the 1:53:30 Creations that come out of this are 1:53:33 elevated for us right other people might 1:53:36 look at it and go yeah that's cool I 1:53:38 mean I think weird Mary Rises a little 1:53:40 bit above that when people hear it 1:53:41 they're like that hey that's a really 1:53:42 good song is that 1:53:44 AI Kyle when we create anything with AI 1:53:48 is our oh is our personal data linked to 1:53:51 the art song or 1:53:54 picture I don't think 1:53:57 so I don't think in the metadata of any 1:54:00 of these it it's tied to that it was 1:54:02 generated in my 1:54:04 account um 1:54:08 in in mid Journey file names mid Journey 1:54:12 file names do have your username in 1:54:15 them um so there's there's probably 1:54:18 metadata in them here's where here's 1:54:20 where here's where I think the 1:54:22 compensation happens if if if you think 1:54:24 I'm I'm a a you know sort of communistic 1:54:29 you 1:54:30 know just give everything away to 1:54:32 everyone person no no I I I'm a I'm a I 1:54:35 love capitalism I love I love 1:54:37 entrepreneurship and all that stuff um I 1:54:42 think that I think that artists with 1:54:45 copyright 1:54:47 currently are being compensated on the 1:54:49 wrong side of the equation for where 1:54:51 we're headed and here's what I mean by 1:54:53 that right now artists are compensated 1:54:58 on usage after it's 1:55:01 produced and so and that's why you know 1:55:04 there's all these battles with streaming 1:55:05 services and things like that cuz all 1:55:07 the streaming services are like well we 1:55:09 can stream this [ __ ] really cheaply so 1:55:11 we're not going to pay you very much and 1:55:12 if if we get powerful and we give you a 1:55:14 bunch of distribution you're just going 1:55:16 to have to take our shitty terms that's 1:55:18 going to get worse and worse and worse 1:55:20 and worse as the as the market 1:55:23 floods with high quality 1:55:26 content even well-known artists are 1:55:29 going to get drowned out by songs like 1:55:31 weird Mary where you know however many 1:55:32 people 60 70 people in this community 1:55:35 listen to weird Mary instead of 1:55:37 listening to some Taylor trift Swift 1:55:39 track that's going to start hurting them 1:55:41 right I think where this has to go is 1:55:44 that you compensate the artist on the on 1:55:47 the generation side so that each of us 1:55:50 could put together our own custom models 1:55:53 like I could take all my photography and 1:55:55 create a Kyle Shannon photography model 1:55:57 and I could take my writing and make a 1:55:59 Kyle Shannon writing model and then 1:56:01 people could say oh I really like the 1:56:03 way Kyle writes and I want to write 1:56:04 something based on his tone and I want 1:56:06 to make images that that look like his 1:56:08 photography and I want to use those 1:56:10 official models and when they generate 1:56:13 content based on my model I get 1:56:16 compensated and then how they use it I 1:56:19 don't give a [ __ ] cuz it's just like 1:56:21 there's any image that's created I did 1:56:23 this I did a thing last night check this 1:56:27 out I was on the 1:56:36 Twitter 1:56:39 and I found a picture that I 1:56:43 liked that one's 1:56:46 interesting uh let's do uh let's do oh 1:56:50 we'll do SRE 1:56:57 so there's all these people doing these 1:56:59 F sref things style refs in for Mid 1:57:02 Journey right and so there's just a lot 1:57:04 of this in my in my feed I follow a lot 1:57:06 of artists so I see a lot of this [ __ ] 1:57:08 oh these are kind of 1:57:09 cool all 1:57:13 right oh there's a kitty let's do the 1:57:15 cat let's do the cat all right so I'm G 1:57:19 to I'm going to copy this 1:57:21 image I'm going to now go to chat 1:57:24 GPT flip back over to the Omni model say 1:57:27 new chat I'm going to paste this in and 1:57:30 say describe 1:57:33 this in as much detail as 1:57:39 possible this is called round tripping 1:57:41 what I'm doing so I'm starting with an 1:57:46 image that's what web 3.0 was supposed 1:57:49 to be us owning our own data yep 1:57:56 oh nice microphone thank you Vegas 1:57:58 Moxy all 1:58:00 right 1:58:02 so here's a 1:58:04 description of that piece of 1:58:12 art let me pop over 1:58:17 to ideogram 1:58:25 I don't know if I can put this whole 1:58:26 prompt in here but let's 1:58:28 try yep I 1:58:30 can I'm go 16 1:58:33 by9 all right I'm going to 1:58:37 go 1:58:40 uh I'm going to I'm going to leave magic 1:58:42 prompt on because it's going to rewrite 1:58:44 that 1:58:46 prompt that's 1:58:48 good and so we're just going to generate 1:58:51 those images 1:58:56 so looking forward to jumping in and 1:58:57 meeting 1:59:00 everyone yeah it's it's it's a really 1:59:03 cool Community the the AI salon's really 1:59:05 great yeah just show up you know 1:59:07 introduce yourself to people um you know 1:59:11 ping the leaders of if if there's a 1:59:12 salon that you think's interesting ping 1:59:14 the leaders of that so let me 1:59:18 grab I kind of like this geometric one 1:59:21 so let me grab 1:59:23 this do save image as 1:59:33 cat and then let me go over 1:59:38 to Mid 1:59:41 journey and I'm going to 1:59:45 upload is that the file 1:59:57 no can I see a webp picture 2:00:02 yeah all right so what's that is that 2:00:05 style 2:00:12 ref yeah so the little middle icon here 2:00:15 is is style 2:00:17 reference and so now I'm going to go um 2:00:23 image of a golden 2:00:28 retriever 2:00:30 um near a 2:00:34 pond at 2:00:37 Sunset and so it's going to use this as 2:00:39 the 2:00:41 style and let's make 2:00:44 it we'll make it a landscape image also 2:00:48 like 2:00:49 that we bang up the stylization will 2:00:52 bang up the 2:00:54 weirdness now we'll go 2:00:57 here and so now this is going off and 2:00:59 doing this so any image that's 2:01:04 created anyone is going to be able to 2:01:08 very very quickly not 2:01:10 only replicate that image but could 2:01:14 could end up creating a whole world of 2:01:15 images inspired by that which in a weird 2:01:18 way if you think of AI not as the robot 2:01:22 about stealing our [ __ ] but these these 2:01:25 things are collective intelligence not 2:01:27 artificial intelligence but they're the 2:01:30 amalgamation of as much of you know 2:01:34 Humanity's output as these companies 2:01:36 could get could get their hands 2:01:38 on we have the privilege right now of 2:01:41 being able to tap into that and there's 2:01:44 a there's there's a part of me that goes 2:01:47 oh [ __ ] that's really [ __ ] up and then 2:01:48 there's another part of me that goes oh 2:01:51 that's what library are that's what 2:01:54 universities are that's what museums are 2:01:57 is the collective output of humanity 2:01:59 organized in a way that we can learn 2:02:01 from it and tap into 2:02:03 it generative AI just allows us to tap 2:02:06 into that 2:02:10 instantly and it's like a [ __ ] 2:02:14 superpower so you know imagine if we 2:02:18 could 2:02:23 get paid on the generation so if I take 2:02:25 the time to build a model or build one 2:02:27 of these style refs and somebody really 2:02:29 loves it and it were just super easy 2:02:32 remember when so you there's enough 2:02:35 people in here that are old enough to 2:02:36 remember 2:02:37 this when Napster first came out I 2:02:40 remember the night on the Grammys when 2:02:42 the the the the 2:02:44 this douchebag from the recording 2:02:48 Academy came out on stage and he pointed 2:02:51 to two young teenagers in the 2:02:54 audience and he goes they use Napster 2:02:57 they're stealing our 2:03:02 music and it was just like it was so 2:03:05 shortsighted and it was like it was like 2:03:08 trying to stop a thing like a train 2:03:10 that's coming and it just I don't know 2:03:12 it felt just weird and pathetic and odd 2:03:15 um I don't know why this thing didn't 2:03:19 actually use the style of that cat but 2:03:22 that's just cuz I'm 2:03:23 clueless oh maybe it's cuz I I I used 2:03:26 weird of 2100 so maybe it just weird it 2:03:29 out and made it a photo Styles in mid 2:03:31 Journey are kind of weird lately so I 2:03:33 don't I don't know what I'm doing also 2:03:36 um but it's like I don't 2:03:40 know uh copyrights I I got I got no good 2:03:44 answers I got no good answers I can see 2:03:46 both sides of the 2:03:48 coin but again the purpose of this 2:03:52 channel is not to debate whether it's 2:03:55 good or bad not to debate whether it's 2:03:57 stealing or it's for the benefit of 2:04:00 society um the purpose of this channel 2:04:04 is independent of that 2:04:07 conversation this [ __ ] isn't slowing 2:04:10 down and this stuff is going to change 2:04:14 everything and no matter where you are 2:04:16 on the spectrum of AI is you know the 2:04:20 next coming to AI is you know bl's above 2:04:26 himself wherever you are on that on that 2:04:29 Spectrum it's still coming it's still 2:04:31 going to change 2:04:33 things right 2:04:35 so I don't even I don't even know what 2:04:38 I'm talking about 2:04:40 anymore going to make a bot and name it 2:04:43 Dewey I just want my own 2:04:45 Images copyright equals don't share 2:04:48 information yeah exactly exactly 2:04:54 you know it's it's 2:05:00 why in the AI 2:05:03 Salon the journey that we're encouraging 2:05:07 people to go 2:05:08 on is this play first mindfully create 2:05:14 generously 2:05:16 lead the generously lead thing is about 2:05:19 imagine asking a library a question 2:05:21 that's exact it some I actually saw on 2:05:24 Twitter the other day J jillo or chillo 2:05:28 um somebody described chat GPT as having 2:05:33 your own library and your own personal 2:05:36 librarian I was like Ah that's a pretty 2:05:39 clever collective intelligence is is the 2:05:41 most clever that I've heard so far I 2:05:43 really like collective 2:05:45 intelligence but but that idea of chat 2:05:48 GPT all these large language models are 2:05:50 our own personal Library liaries where 2:05:52 we where we have our a personal 2:05:54 librarian that will just go find us the 2:05:56 information we 2:05:57 need and if you haven't played with 2:05:59 perplexity Pages came out three days ago 2:06:03 all all these things that like the even 2:06:06 though I made shitty songs with udio 2:06:09 tonight um you can see where that's 2:06:12 headed and I'll learn how to use that 2:06:13 and it'll get better at sort of you know 2:06:15 sussen things out but check this [ __ ] 2:06:19 out so if you don't know perplexity it 2:06:21 is 2:06:23 is kind of like a cross between Google 2:06:27 and chat GPT where you put in a search 2:06:31 like you want to do some research and it 2:06:33 goes off and it searches data sources 2:06:37 like wikkipedia and magazine articles 2:06:40 and whatever it might be it searches 2:06:42 sources and then it answers your 2:06:44 question but it does it with citations 2:06:46 so if I say um oh I don't know when 2:06:53 was peanut 2:06:55 butter 2:07:05 invented goes and finds you some 2:07:07 pictures 2:07:09 cute here are the 2:07:12 sources who invented peanut butter 2:07:15 peanut butter and Wiki pedia who 2:07:16 invented peanut 2:07:19 butter spread from okay there's what it 2:07:22 is peanut butter was not invented by a 2:07:24 single person instead it evolved over 2:07:26 the over the and then I'm going to say 2:07:27 ask a follow-up 2:07:31 question and how did people survive 2:07:34 before the epip 2:07:39 pen listen Kyle allergies are not funny 2:07:42 that's a very serious 2:07:49 situation I just saw a TV TV TV show 2:07:52 tonight where what's what's the show 2:07:54 it's called dark dark matter I think 2:07:56 where they're they're traveling to all 2:07:58 these different realities and and the 2:08:00 bad 2:08:01 husband came from a different reality to 2:08:05 be with the wife and the and sent the 2:08:07 good husband off to his reality and so 2:08:10 he's living with the wife he's living 2:08:12 his dream but he didn't know that the 2:08:14 son was allergic to peanuts so he bought 2:08:16 him some ice cream with peanuts in it 2:08:19 and his son almost died so that's why on 2:08:22 my mind um okay so so that's what 2:08:26 perplexity is now check out what pages 2:08:29 are so if I go to Pages if I go to the 2:08:33 library and I click over to 2:08:36 Pages what's going on here oh no I don't 2:08:38 want to do that why can't I not see my 2:08:44 pages all right here's my pages so pages 2:08:47 are like these little articles and these 2:08:49 are the Articles I've created 2:08:52 fascinating 2:08:57 snakes this this one uh low maintenance 2:09:01 companions so someone on the it might 2:09:03 have been Brandon someone said um oh 2:09:05 someone could use Pages like a like a 2:09:07 10-year-old could uh make an article you 2:09:10 know on why they should get a a snake as 2:09:13 a pet which I thought was hilarious so 2:09:15 when you say make one of these I'll go 2:09:17 over here and I'll say 2:09:20 um um 2:09:22 um 2:09:26 origins of the 2:09:29 modern 2:09:31 organic 2:09:34 food 2:09:37 movement so I just put in just like a 2:09:40 search topic just like I did before but 2:09:41 rather than it giving me you know kind 2:09:44 of search results it's now writing an 2:09:49 article and 2:09:52 role of indigenous agricultural 2:09:56 practices and so notice it found five 2:09:58 sources and then as it writes this this 2:10:01 paragraph It's got citations within it 2:10:04 so everywhere there's a citation I can 2:10:05 roll over it and see what the original 2:10:07 article was and I can I can click over 2:10:10 and read that article if I 2:10:12 want and so it just keeps going and 2:10:15 then the life Reform movement in Germany 2:10:21 see this is way more fascinating than I 2:10:24 thought it was I thought it was just 2:10:25 like Whole Food realized they could 2:10:27 charge people three times the price for 2:10:29 groceries if they put it in green 2:10:32 [Laughter] 2:10:39 bags hey Bob yeah I I got an idea hit me 2:10:44 you know I like your ideas Fred yeah 2:10:45 thanks I appreciate that here's what I'm 2:10:50 thinking we we create a grocery store go 2:10:53 on I'm with you so far yeah and it's 2:10:56 just like every other grocery store 2:10:57 except uh all the products in it are 2:11:00 from companies you've never heard of 2:11:02 that are about to go out of business go 2:11:04 on I like it yeah see and well we we we 2:11:08 get this stuff it would basically be the 2:11:11 same as a a bag of Oreos would be a bag 2:11:13 of these I don't know Mr Tes cookies you 2:11:16 see what I'm saying it go on and then 2:11:19 but instead of charging like $2 for the 2:11:21 Oreo we charge like $17 for the Mr 2:11:25 Tates I see what do we pay for the Mr 2:11:27 Tates oh like a nickel we only pay a 2:11:30 nickel but we charge 2:11:32 $17 oh I see what you're doing here I 2:11:34 like it I like it a lot 2:11:36 Bob all right um 2:11:40 anyway so I can now um I can change out 2:11:43 this opening image let's see uh uh uh uh 2:11:47 let's put some cute cows there and I can 2:11:51 you know drag to reposition and then for 2:11:54 each of these little sections I can have 2:11:57 it input media nice that's good I like 2:12:00 it as is this one no don't like that at 2:12:04 all let's go grab something else yeah 2:12:07 we'll grab her little picture there nice 2:12:10 Silent Spring we we'll learn about 2:12:12 Rachel in her Silent Spring book so it's 2:12:14 her fault for Whole Foods I 2:12:16 see the life Reform movement in Germany 2:12:20 there we go love 2:12:22 L look at that quilt pattern and then I 2:12:25 can even add you know other sections I 2:12:27 can also um like this one I could say 2:12:30 let's make this one a 2:12:33 table instead of a 2:12:39 paragraph so now it's going to write us 2:12:42 a little 2:12:43 intro and then bang below that here's 2:12:46 our 2:12:48 table the principles Back To Nature 2:12:50 lifestyle 2:12:52 exstension from Alcohol Tobacco and 2:12:54 drugs and vaccines good Lord 2:12:57 [Laughter] 2:13:00 people all 2:13:01 right beautiful gorgeous does a nice 2:13:04 thing now and now I publish this 2:13:07 boom 2:13:09 published so if I go back to my 2:13:12 library I can't back to my library go to 2:13:17 my pages and there's my little article 2:13:20 and I I can share that with the world 2:13:22 World crazy 2:13:25 right so I can pop that over to 2:13:28 Twitter and 2:13:31 go I'm going to go 2:13:33 M cows is 2:13:40 tasty piss off the vegans all 2:13:45 right oh and it didn't bring over my 2:13:48 stupid hang on it didn't bring over the 2:13:50 the preview I we got to we got to wait 2:13:52 edit post heads up couple of okay there 2:13:55 we go look 2:13:58 see cow's tasty exclamation point now 2:14:03 I'm going to update it 2:14:05 boom look at that 2:14:08 published what's cool about 2:14:13 it is the way they've positioned this is 2:14:17 curated by Kyle Shannon doesn't say 2:14:19 written by Kyle Shannon because I didn't 2:14:22 write that I curated it and I think 2:14:25 that's what what we're going to 2:14:26 increasingly do but this is like a well 2:14:29 researched curated piece apparently 2:14:32 these articles are starting to like show 2:14:35 up in Google searches because they're 2:14:38 well written well researched with lots 2:14:41 of backlinks out to these other sites 2:14:43 right like this is this is actually very 2:14:46 very clever on perplexity part to make 2:14:48 it this easy to put these this kind of 2:14:53 workout crazy isn't 2:14:56 it all right people what time is it it's 2:14:59 getting late I got to get out of here oh 2:15:01 yeah me too one oh oh that's just 2:15:03 Brandon predicting what I'm about to say 2:15:04 yeah it's a good point definitely need 2:15:07 work in primary original sources 2:15:08 especially for students 2:15:12 yep 2:15:13 um no actual original documents I don't 2:15:18 know what that means no all of the all 2:15:20 of the documents that these things were 2:15:22 cited on are sourced here so if I click 2:15:24 on the sources it gives me links to all 2:15:27 those articles these are the original 2:15:30 articles 2:15:32 so it is the opposite of what you say 2:15:35 all the all the original articles are 2:15:37 actually um cited and 2:15:41 linked this one it looks like it's 2:15:43 behind a pay well but 2:15:52 all right I gotta go I gotta go 2:15:55 people this was a weird night my brain 2:15:58
