7:25 all these GP gpts were made for
7:28 nonprofits in a 24-hour
7:30 period isn't that
7:33 amazing absolutely
7:35 incredible so that's the first link on

7:41 they're good um what's cool about the
7:44 way we built the gpts is all of them
7:46 have a call to action in them so it'll
7:48 teach you about the nonprofit and answer
7:50 questions about it and tell you how to
7:52 volunteer for it and then at some point
7:54 in that interaction It'll ask you to
7:56 donate and take you right to the Donate
7:58 page which I thought was pretty slick

10:05 streets so now raccoons are in I don't
10:08 know what's going on with the ferrets
10:10 they haven't organized they need a PR
10:12 firm and and now we're just adding

12:29 screenplay I wrote 30 years ago and
12:32 within like 10 15 minutes I had created
12:36 storyboards for this movie that all of a
12:38 sudden I was excited about
12:41 again and then tonight I was you know
12:44 getting ready for this making pot of
12:47 coffee I just
12:50 thought I've got seven featurelength
12:54 screenplays maybe a project I do in
12:58 2024 is is make one of my
13:04 movies with
13:07 AI and then my son CU I said that to my
13:10 son who they hate Ai and he goes oh
13:12 that's cool he goes that'd be a good
13:14 that'd be a good series that'd be like a
13:16 good twitch series I was like huh that
13:19 could be kind of fun so that could be a
13:21 thing I don't know
13:23 maybe that seems way too much
13:27 like something something someone with
13:30 ADHD shouldn't start because it it feels
13:34 a lot like something I get about a third
13:35 of the way through and get bored

19:10 some of them kind of suck so let's let's
19:12 call it five five seems like a good
19:15 number I'll jettison two of them that I
19:19 think don't need to see the light of
19:22 day I've also got a oneman
19:26 show so so what if what if we have chat
19:31 GPT write the script for the trailer we
19:34 do like a minute long or minute and a
19:36 half long
19:37 trailer then we use mid journey and Pika
19:40 and whatever the the thing is of the day
19:42 we come up with maybe maybe like each
19:45 trailer has its own kind of
19:47 style you know visual
19:49 style put together the
19:52 trailers and then we could do like a
19:54 voodi thing and then whatever whatever
19:57 movie test best we can do like Hollywood

1:12:24 some parts of it get better some parts

1:12:27 anything some parts of it are just you

1:12:35 right now so all you have to do is be
1:12:37 mildly curious and then just talk about
1:12:40 it and you will be an expert right

1:16:05 fired up a Safari browser and the app
1:16:08 was actually a website that's what they
1:16:10 were technically and and the engineering
1:16:13 community was like well these aren't
1:16:15 real apps this isn't apps this is just
1:16:17 stupid websites this is lightweight web
1:16:22 development and then and you know Apple
1:16:26 put in the work and did another couple
1:16:28 of years and and put together the app
1:16:31 infrastructure
1:16:34 and and you know Swift and all that all
1:16:36 the you know the development worked to
1:16:39 allow developers to do real apps and
1:16:41 then that became the App Store I think
1:16:43 gpts are kind of like that right now
1:16:45 that what we're building as gpts are
1:16:48 kind of the equivalent of the early app
1:16:52 store apps that people made made fun of
1:16:54 dismissed said oh they're just no one's
1:16:56 going to use them they're not going to
1:16:58 be valuable to anyone this and that and
1:17:00 here's what's going to
1:17:01 happen people are going to take them
1:17:03 seriously they're going to get in early
1:17:05 and then as gp4 turns into GPT 5 and as
1:17:09 the development tools for gpts get more
1:17:11 sophisticated and
1:17:13 easier they're going to get really good
1:17:15 and I think at that point I think I
1:17:17 think we we we might be slightly early
1:17:19 for big Brands to get into it because
1:17:21 they're still janky and and there's not
1:17:24 good security and privacy and you can
1:17:26 lose your prompts you can get jail
1:17:29 broken there's just it's just they're
1:17:31 just
1:17:32 janky but 6 months from now a year from
1:17:36 now assuming the the GPT store survives
1:17:40 and all this you know plays
1:17:43 out
1:17:44 um yeah I think it's going to be a
1:17:46 pretty significant thing there it's
1:17:48 funny there's a lot of I saw a lot of
1:17:51 hate today on X about the the GP PT
1:17:53 store no one's going to use them it's

1:19:06 designs I think it's too limited and
1:19:08 nothing about its proprietary in essence
1:19:10 that's what I'm saying Pate see I think
1:19:12 that I think that people are going to
1:19:14 dismiss gpts largely for that argument
1:19:17 that right now they're very raw they're
1:19:19 they're not proprietary they're not all
1:19:21 that interesting it's not super easy to
1:19:23 build build apis into them so while it
1:19:26 democratizes app development for people
1:19:29 who are truly not
1:19:31 developers they're a little not
1:19:33 proprietary in they and that that was
1:19:35 exactly what the the the slam was on the
1:19:38 early iPhone apps
1:19:43 um so so I I don't know it's it's it's
1:19:47 actually it's really interesting I mean
1:19:49 GPT or open AI has proven to us they're
1:19:52 willing to kind of flush Tech down the
1:19:54 toilet right they launched
1:19:57 plugins Sam mman said within 3 weeks of
1:20:00 them launching plugins that basically
1:20:02 it's not a product Market fit he
1:20:04 basically said three weeks after they
1:20:06 launched it don't waste your time on
1:20:08 this
1:20:10 um and and now what he's saying what
1:20:14 what they're saying is gpts are the
1:20:16 replacement for
1:20:18 plugins and you know there could be
1:20:20 another pivot or two right where gpts go
1:20:22 away and they get replaced with
1:20:23 something else I I have a feeling
1:20:25 they're here to stay and I I I think
1:20:27 what happens is the API hooks that
1:20:31 becomes like an API store and they don't
1:20:32 call it apis they they call it actions
1:20:35 so connect actions you know you want to

1:23:37 about this isn't
1:23:41 coding this is people with an intention
1:23:43 to want to help an
1:23:45 organization if they've got the skills
1:23:48 can now just go in and say here I made
1:23:50 you a thing where people can ask you
1:23:52 question questions about saving the
1:23:54 turtles and then when it asks them for a
1:23:57 donation it makes them a swell picture
1:23:59 of a turtle swimming in the ocean to
1:24:01 remind them how beautiful they are oh
1:24:03 that's
1:24:04 great and right now the gpts are like
1:24:09 they're they're they're not proprietary
1:24:11 and they're and they're easy to copy and
1:24:13 some of them are very
1:24:15 simplistic and users that come to them
1:24:18 don't necessarily know what to do all of
1:24:21 that's going to get fixed
1:24:23 all of that's going to get
1:24:25 fixed and and they're going to very
1:24:27 quickly turn into really truly
1:24:30 sophisticated applications that guide an
1:24:33 end user through something have true
1:24:36 multimedia multimodal
1:24:39 experiences how do I know that
1:24:42 well look at the evolution of chat GPT
1:24:46 from a year ago until
1:24:48 now it was just doing text and code and
1:24:53 then it was connected to the internet
1:24:54 and then it was unconnected to the
1:24:57 internet and then it could sort of make
1:24:59 shitty images with Dolly 2 and you're
1:25:01 like eh but I can make good ones over in
1:25:04 mid Journey but you had to go over to
1:25:06 Mid Journey then Dolly 3 came out you're
1:25:08 like oh those are pretty good then they
1:25:10 added GPT Vision then they added code
1:25:13 interpreter actually those were
1:25:14 backwards code interpreter first then
1:25:16 Vision code interpreter it can
1:25:20 code and write and execute python code
1:25:24 based on your
1:25:27 goal so so like it's gotten much more
1:25:31 sophisticated in 12 months and you know
1:25:35 Gemini ultra's got a bunch of the
1:25:37 multimodal stuff in it
1:25:39 so so I think I think the idea of truly
1:25:44 democratizing application
1:25:47 development truly democratizing it where
1:25:51 anyone not not just
1:25:54 developers can express themselves as
1:25:59 humans with helpful applications is a
1:26:02 new thing it's a like I think it's a new
1:26:04 thing and I think it's it feels to me
1:26:08 bigger
1:26:12 than it feels like a big
1:26:14 deal I'm so excited about the number of
1:26:17 women embracing this Tech it makes my
1:26:18 heart saying I know cuno it's amazing
1:26:20 like the the and that event was was
1:26:23 Testament to
1:26:28 that and and you know quite frankly it's
1:26:30 like it's like well well why is it
1:26:32 because we're leading with
1:26:35 language we're leading like we're
1:26:37 effectively leading with
1:26:38 empathy we're not leading with some
1:26:41 Byzantine

1:26:46 engineering Matrix

1:26:58 the code sitting underneath
1:27:02 it and so it's just like I want to do a
1:27:05 thing and you say to the GPT I want to

1:27:10 thing like not much more sophisticated

1:27:17 and then it goes here you go is does
1:27:20 this do the thing and you play with it
1:27:23 and you're like no it doesn't could
1:27:25 could it suck less and do more of this

1:55:43 violent content uh generation of malware
1:55:47 activity of high risk of physical harm
1:55:50 including weapons development military
1:55:52 and
1:55:53 warfare uh management of critical
1:55:55 infrastructure content that promotes or
1:55:57 encourages acts of self harm Etc um
1:56:01 those make sense but you know there are
1:56:05 some things in there where you could
1:56:07 talk about some of that stuff without it
1:56:09 crossing a line so but it sounds like
1:56:12 they're just drawing a hard line in the
1:56:13 fan in in the sand where that's not
1:56:16 going to be allowed um uh activity of
1:56:20 high risk of economic harm including
1:56:23 multi-level marketing gambling payday
1:56:26 lending and automated determinations of
1:56:29 Eligibility of credit employment
1:56:31 educational institutions or public

1:57:29 specific demographics building

1:57:34 to provide information about campaigns
1:57:37 or engage in political advocacy or
1:57:39 lobbying well engage in political
1:57:41 advocacy if I've got a nonprofit and I
1:57:44 want to talk about that nonprofit and
1:57:46 help Advance the cause is that out well
1:57:49 it sounds like it is right so again
1:57:51 they're they're
1:57:52 being they're being very very cautious
1:57:55 um activity that violates people's
1:57:57 privacy tracking facial Rec recognition

1:58:42 means you can't have a standalone legal
1:58:45 advice GPT sounds like that's right out
1:58:47 they're doing the same with financial
1:58:49 advice and they're doing the same with
1:58:51 health advice telling someone that they
1:58:54 have or do not have a certain health
1:58:57 condition right so nothing about
1:58:59 diagnosis providing instructions on how
1:59:01 to cure or treat a health
1:59:04 condition I've got a PT GPT that will
1:59:09 help you improve your sore
1:59:11 knee that's how you treat a health
1:59:14 condition is that out apparently that's
1:59:16 out have you explained obtaining an API
1:59:19 key
1:59:20 to use in your script to authenticate

2:06:46 application so the API is the connection
2:06:49 between your little app and and the
2:06:51 Google
2:06:53 Calendar um and and gpts they have these
2:06:56 things in them called actions and
2:06:58 actions are a place where you can
2:07:01 incorporate apis into your
2:07:04 GPT it if you don't understand
2:07:07 programming
2:07:08 it's feel free to jump in there and
2:07:11 learn how to do it it's not implemented
2:07:13 very well and it is it is my absolute
2:07:18 belief this is this is total speculation
2:07:21 that within 3 months or so that'll be
2:07:24 much easier so I'm just kind of ignoring
2:07:26 it right now so if you want to geek out
2:07:29 on it geek out on it but it's probably
2:07:31 going to get much easier to add apis uh

2:08:53 that's important is some apis cost money
2:08:56 time for a 30 minute Goodbye Oh that's

2:09:07 um for example if you want to use open
2:09:10 ai's API and you're using chat gp4 it
2:09:14 cost you a couple of cents for every
2:09:16 thousand tokens how they know how to
2:09:18 charge you is your API key the
2:09:20 authentication when when you use your
2:09:23 API key it runs up the meter and they
2:09:26 charge it to your account so so that's
2:09:27 the authentication so you got to figure
2:09:30 out is your authentication no
2:09:32 authentication an API key or oo and then
2:09:35 there's you know all sorts of [ __ ] you
2:09:37 put in there for that and then there's
2:09:38 the schema and this is how this GPT is
2:09:42 going to talk
2:09:43 to
2:09:45 um the other API so if it's Google Maps
2:09:48 API or whatever it is and then they've
2:09:49 got a couple of examples here so some
2:09:52 Json weather API and and see it it plops
2:09:56 some code in here and if you know a
2:09:58 little bit about code you can figure out

2:11:08 talks about how you add actions to your

2:11:39 gpts really does take them to another

2:11:46 this is this is where we get into well

2:11:53 open AI will make this much easier where
2:11:54 you can just pick from a list and then
2:11:56 you know sign up for your account and
2:11:58 whatever and it'll be easier than it is

2:12:03 gpts very much to the next level right

2:12:08 your have it generate a PDF and then
2:12:11 upload that PDF to your Google drive or
2:12:13 to your slack Channel or something like
