Description

This livestream features Kyle Shannon from the AI Learning Lab experimenting with Jellypod, an AI podcast creation tool. After some initial banter and technical difficulties, Kyle connects with Pearson Marks, Jelly Pod's CEO. Pearson explains that Jellypod allows users to create AI-generated podcasts from various source materials, offering a "human-in-the-loop" approach where users guide the narrative. He discusses the platform's features, including host design, voice cloning, and text-based editing. Pearson also touches on the origins of Jelly Pod, its naming, and the impact of NotebookLM on its development. Kyle then proceeds to use Jelly Pod, creating a podcast called "What the Fact," featuring hosts Lily Vogue and Buster McGillicuddy. With the help of chatGPT for brainstorming and 01 reasoning model for analysis, Kyle develops episode ideas, writes a show brief, designs the hosts' personalities and voices, and generates cover art with contributions from the AI Salon community. After overcoming a moderation hiccup related to the first episode's topic (Mike the Headless Chicken), Kyle successfully generates and publishes two episodes, sharing the podcast on Pocket Casts and Twitter. 3:12 doing tonight it's Thursday night no
3:16 it's Wednesday night is it really
3:18 Wednesday I thought yesterday was
3:29 Wednesday Corey Sandler out of sorts all
3:32 day okay it's not just me great everyone
3:35 on Tik Tok is bitching about how the
3:36 algorithms all screwed up uh oh it looks
3:40 like my
3:42 stream is very
3:44 delayed hang on I think my Chrome might
3:47 be crashing is it back now it's back all
3:52 right good Lord good Lord good people
3:56 what are we going to
3:57 do all right so tonight
4:01 night I
4:06 promised I promised Brandon that we
4:08 would do jelly
4:12 pod here's part of the reason I haven't
4:14 done jelly pod yet not a fan of the name
4:18 it it sounds a
4:20 little sounds a little janky
4:24 [Music]
4:32 Dr J says I look fine that's just
4:35 genetics that's just that's just you
4:37 know you know hey when you hit the
4:41 lottery you hit the lottery you know
4:42 what I'm
4:42 [Laughter]
4:46 [Music]
4:48 [Applause]
4:55 saying the jelly thing is my preferred
4:58 name
4:59 [Music]
5:22 if you're wondering where the singing
5:24 dog is he got fed up he put in his Union
5:26 minimum and left it's listen this is
5:29 what you get when you work with Union
5:31 Talent they're good they're solid but
5:34 you know when the when the clock strikes
5:37 the clock they'll just punch it they'll
5:39 punch it out they'll be done they'll be
5:43 done just the way it
5:46 goes they say don't work with kids or
5:49 dogs I would add to that don't work with
5:52 kids dogs or especially Union
5:56 dogs because they'll just go champy
6:00 he's gone he's gone he's a great
6:08 opener screen door is
6:10 back I don't know what screen door oh oh
6:13 screen door yeah
6:16 that's it's something about the angle of
6:18 the
6:19 dangle when you get the angle of
6:23 your your thing just wrong it gives you
6:26 that screen door looking [ __ ]
6:30 [Music]
6:33 I don't know what to tell you wait maybe
6:36 if I make it
6:38 bigger or just move it a little no that
6:41 made it
6:44 [Music]
6:52 worse you and I here all alone
6:58 [Music]
7:01 Sunday morning here at
7:03 [Music]
7:06 home Sky's blue and the cuff is
7:11 strong it's
7:13 [Music]
7:15 true what is jelly pod L terrible name
7:19 sounds like a doughnut flavored curing
7:22 pod
7:30 yes yes that is the correct
7:32 interpretation of the name jelly pod
7:34 jelly pod is a listen I don't fault
7:38 anyone right now it's impossible to get
7:40 a [ __ ] domain name because all the
7:42 domain name scammers bought everything
7:44 and nothing's [ __ ] available which is
7:47 why we all have to deal with XYZ and
7:51 Dot but and do Biz and Dot it's
7:55 exhausting anyway if you if you're going
7:57 to get a URL get the Doom just do it
8:00 just [ __ ] invest the money believe in
8:02 yourself don't apologize anyway um
8:06 enough about the name uh jelly pod is
8:09 a an AI podcast maker that's sort of
8:14 like the notebook LM podcast maker but
8:17 you can make your own characters and
8:19 things like that all right so we'll be
8:22 we'll be doing that I would argue it's
8:24 better than a than it's 410 preview beta
8:29 yeah I I would agree with
8:33 that yeah open Ai and their naming
8:36 conventions bad all these companies what
8:38 are they doing what are they doing with
8:40 their product names I'm on the wrong
8:46 Channel if you're if you're neuros spicy
8:50 and you uh and you enjoy uh Chad add
8:54 you're in the right
8:58 place I got to find up a Java Java
9:01 tonight it's looking
9:03 [Music]
9:15 good I know black bar don't bug me
9:19 [Music]
9:35 [Applause]
9:39 [Music]
9:55 are you going to sing
9:57 [Music]
10:07 why are you just whimpering in the
10:08 corner do you want to sing or
10:12 not do you want Leonard
10:20 Cullen I know it's Out Of Tune whatever
10:23 [Music]
10:39 oh good lord okay what are we gonna talk
10:41 about tonight we're gonna do some jelly
10:43 potting not
10:45 potting we're not planting anything you
10:48 can't plant jelly your fingers are get
10:50 too sticky and you get let's just trust
10:53 me I've tried it you don't want to do
10:55 jelly potting it's horrible um we're GNA
10:59 be jelly
11:00 potting tomorrow
11:04 apparently you
11:06 make we get operators from open AI
11:10 now my source for that is a single tweet
11:13 where someone said operators are coming
11:16 tomorrow so I don't actually believe
11:20 it
11:22 but give that dog some singing cheese
11:25 that dog I don't know what's with that
11:27 dog Champion do you want to sing or not
11:32 in a westly
11:35 [Music]
11:38 direction this car is my
11:45 train been driving I've been wondering
11:49 sen Ali can you please explain what
11:51 generative AI means please explain it in
11:54 the simplest form
11:57 absolutely absolutely
12:05 okay I might this will make this will
12:08 make the Irregulars happy I might break
12:10 out the box metaphor yeah bonus I just
12:13 got from my producer bonus points if I
12:15 use a box so I might I might use a box
12:18 but I'm gonna I'm GNA start at a at a
12:21 high level and then I'll kind of work my
12:23 way more
12:27 specific okay
12:30 ai's been around for years okay
12:33 artificial intelligence machine learning
12:36 for the most part for the past 30 or 40
12:38 years when people refer to Ai and
12:41 machine
12:42 learning they're talking about
12:44 specialized Ai and gener generally what
12:46 it looked like was you would take very
12:50 specific data sets like how to play
12:53 chess in the case of big blue with IBM
12:56 or or how to read a chest x-ray or how
12:58 to look at skin for lesions or something
13:01 like that you would bring your very
13:03 specific data to data scientists and
13:06 then they would train an AI model on
13:09 that very specific
13:13 thing it was not user friendly in fact
13:16 you really had to be an engineer or a
13:19 researcher or a scientist to be able to
13:22 do it you had to understand things like
13:24 weights and embeddings and just all
13:26 sorts of things that
13:29 for those of us that are not I have a
13:32 degree in acting uh for for those of us
13:36 that that do not like digging deep into
13:38 that stuff it really wasn't for us and
13:40 and you know this was
13:42 something like I'm geeky I love
13:45 technical [ __ ] but I also know where my
13:46 boundaries are right I'm not good at
13:48 coding I have ADD I just can't [ __ ]
13:50 pay attention to it for that long it
13:51 just doesn't work so I know that
13:53 boundary but I'm really curious about it
13:55 so for years I would always say like oh
14:00 I'm going to learn it and and Google
14:01 would come out with something and
14:02 they're like Oho there's a new version
14:04 of tensorflow and it's much easier and I
14:06 would go in and I would try to learn
14:08 what tensor flow was and it would start
14:09 talking about weights and embeddings and
14:13 mathematical it was just [ __ ]
14:15 exhausting I'm like no it's still not
14:16 for me and then about three years ago I
14:20 stumbled onto stable diffusion image
14:23 generation and and so that was where you
14:27 put in a prompt and it would make an
14:29 image
14:30 and I started learning about that and I
14:32 started experimenting with that and and
14:35 the generative part of generative AI is
14:38 that it's actually generating something
14:40 so in the case of chat GPT or a large
14:43 language model like Claude um when you
14:46 put in a prompt it generates a a wholly
14:51 original response to your
14:54 prompt so so it's generating and one of
14:57 the big misconceptions about it
15:00 is that people think it's copying and
15:02 pasting so the way they train these
15:04 things is they basically went out and
15:05 they got all the data on the internet
15:07 that they could get and they did this
15:09 special thing to it and they put it in
15:10 there and so when people give it a
15:13 prompt and and some thing comes out that
15:16 looks like something they've seen before
15:18 they're like oh it's copying and pasting
15:20 but it's not copying and pasting so the
15:22 way it
15:23 works I don't do I want to do that one
15:30 well let me let me walk you through the
15:32 three letters of GPT chat
15:36 [Music]
15:38 GPT the T we can get rid of first the T
15:41 stands for
15:42 Transformer Transformer is the
15:45 technology the the kind of uh tool that
15:50 allows this thing to be trained on data
15:54 it was invented in 2017 by Google it
15:57 doesn't really [ __ ] matter like it it
15:59 matter a lot technically but it doesn't
16:01 really matter for you want wanting to
16:03 know what gener generative AI is the G
16:05 and the P are actually really important
16:08 so the P so GPT generative pre-trained
16:13 Transformer the Transformer is the
16:15 technology that's just telling us what
16:17 kind of tool it is the p is really
16:20 important so remember I said before you
16:22 had these specialized AIS where someone
16:25 would come with all their data and they
16:26 would say like I want to do a x-ray
16:29 reading AI here's my data let's train it
16:32 and it's just going to do that one task
16:34 really well the p stand the P stands for
16:38 pre-trained and what it means is it's
16:40 been that they've gone out they in the
16:43 case of open AI went out they scraped
16:46 the internet they captured as much crap
16:49 as they could public websites
16:51 Wikipedia uh uh probably stuff they
16:55 shouldn't have been scraping whatever
16:57 they they went out and they just got all
17:00 of the
17:01 stuff and the way it works it's actually
17:04 really fascinating
17:05 it it takes all of the documents that
17:09 that you know like a paper that someone
17:11 wrote about butterflies and a and a
17:14 website that talks about storyvine my
17:17 company they went out they got all the
17:18 things right and the way the Transformer
17:21 works is that it takes all of the
17:23 individual words in a document and it
17:26 breaks them into these little things
17:28 called tokens
17:30 and this is it's [ __ ] freaky the way
17:32 it works they basically turn those
17:35 tokens into numbers and they they sort
17:37 of figure out how they're all related to
17:38 one another from a meaning standpoint
17:41 from a semantic standpoint and then they
17:43 turn it into numbers and stick it into
17:45 thousand dimensional mathematical space
17:48 it's just [ __ ] weird it's bizarre you
17:50 don't need to know it but basically
17:51 sitting up in this thousand dimensional
17:54 cloud of tokens are just a bunch of
17:57 numbers when you type a PR into chat
18:00 GPT it converts that prompt into a
18:04 probability that some token somewhere in
18:07 mathematical space is the next most
18:11 likely fragment to be the correct answer
18:14 that you know the beginning of the
18:15 correct answer and then it takes that
18:18 one and it figures out the probability
18:20 for the next one and the next one and it
18:22 strings all these things together and
18:23 they turn into words and we read them
18:26 but it doesn't know what it's read like
18:28 the original docents cease to exist so
18:30 the pre-trained means they basically
18:33 took all of what they could get their
18:36 hands on of the
18:38 internet and they and they jammed it
18:42 into this Super Hyper efficient
18:46 mathematical
18:48 box it's got a thousand dimensions in it
18:51 this one only has three the real one has
18:53 thousands of dimensions
19:00 okay cool awesome
19:03 um and so when you when you ask a prompt
19:06 of chat GPT it goes into this What's
19:09 called the latent space and it figures
19:11 out the probability and brings the thing
19:13 out so that's the P you don't have to
19:15 bring your own data you can just ask and
19:18 it kind of knows
19:20 everything the G is the generative part
19:23 and that's the the the generative is
19:25 it's generating original content every
19:29 every single time just because of the
19:31 nature of how it does it it sort of
19:32 reaches into this space um it pulls out
19:35 what it thinks you want it gives it to
19:37 you you give it feedback it goes back in
19:39 it gets some more stuff out so
19:43 um the difference between generative Ai
19:47 and
19:49 um something like Google what Google did
19:53 was Google went out on the internet and
19:55 it indexed everything it went out and it
19:58 said okay this web page is about
20:00 butterflies this web page is about
20:02 storyvine so when someone searches for
20:05 butterflies I'm going to rank this one
20:08 Higher Than Story vine right there's all
20:10 sorts of math they did to it but what
20:14 they indexed was just metadata
20:17 information about each
20:19 website what generative AI does is it
20:21 actually takes the content of everything
20:24 that they put in
20:25 it and it ingests all that and so you're
20:28 actually
20:29 it's the closest thing I can think of of
20:32 what it is is it's kind of like if you
20:35 took every Museum and every library in
20:39 the world and took all of the everything
20:42 you could possibly learn and experience
20:44 in all the museums and all of
20:47 the libraries of the world and just have
20:50 instant access to that knowledge that's
20:52 essentially what it is it's instant
20:55 access to knowledge where Google was
20:58 instant access to
20:59 information information about
21:02 knowledge generative AI is instant
21:05 access to
21:07 knowledge and people will argue with me
21:10 on that and they'll say well it's not
21:11 actually knowledge because you've still
21:13 got it no no it's knowledge you can ask
21:16 chat gbt to write a computer program for
21:19 you and it will and it will function
21:22 right that's not you're you're not
21:24 learning
21:26 to program it's program in for you so
21:30 you get to tap into that knowledge okay
21:33 I read progression to Super intelligence
21:35 agents they will complete tasks first
21:38 through text then through voice then
21:39 through our phones we'll be replaced
21:41 with glasses and neural blood brain
21:44 implants fun yeah good good party good
21:47 party okay starred followup YouTube
21:50 question okay success wait succulent
21:54 wait succulent Cella Mella on Tik Tok
21:58 okay suculent Cella wait
22:02 succulent succulent Sorella menella is
22:05 the best name I've ever heard completely
22:07 unpronouncable but I love it okay can
22:10 you please explain operators and can you
22:12 also explain jelly
22:14 potting while you're at it so I'm not
22:16 lost yes jelly pod um yeah so so maybe
22:21 we'll bring up Pearson uh to the live so
22:23 Pearson is the CEO of jelly pod he's
22:26 he's out here in the audience somewhere
22:28 so we can bring him up if you want to do
22:29 that Brandon yeah t t Pearson up and
22:32 then and then we'll bring him up um but
22:35 let me ask answer the first question
22:37 about operators okay um right
22:41 now right now if you want to use chat
22:44 GPT you have to go to chat
22:46 GPT and and you have to give it a prompt
22:50 right it's it's a it's a human initiated
22:54 um interaction I go there I want to
22:57 write a poem about golden
23:01 buttons and I say I want to write a poem
23:04 about a golden button that says this
23:06 when I push it push it and it will write
23:07 that poem for
23:09 you about a week and a half ago chat GPT
23:13 launched a thing called tasks and what
23:16 tasks is is you can take that same
23:18 prompt and you can have it execute it
23:21 every day at the same time you can
23:24 schedule prompts so this is sort of the
23:27 first step toward operators um which
23:30 which I'll get to in a second but tasks
23:33 is sort of a little mini Taste of of
23:36 automation that's about to
23:37 come um and so I did one that every
23:42 morning uh I've got a a custom GPT
23:45 called Sin City sipper and every morning
23:48 um chat GPT sends me a cocktail recipe
23:52 with a picture of that drink I don't
23:54 really drink all that much so I don't
23:56 know why I'm doing that but I like I
23:57 love the pictures of the drinks that
23:59 does I used to bartend um and that's
24:02 like every morning that shows up in my
24:04 inbox an operator takes it one step
24:07 further and not only can It execute a a
24:10 task at a regular time it can actually
24:13 go out and perform actions on its own so
24:16 you can give an operator a goal like for
24:19 example you might have an operator that
24:22 you've given permission to go to these
24:24 three travel websites or these 10 travel
24:27 websites and and you've also given it
24:30 permission to to make purchases on your
24:33 behalf and then you just say to the
24:35 operatori want you to go out every day
24:38 and find me the best um flight right to
24:43 go to Cancun in the next two months and
24:45 it will go out and it'll search all the
24:47 things and it'll come back to you and it
24:49 can even ask you questions and then
24:52 modify Its Behavior so it might come
24:55 back and say hey I found some tickets
24:57 for $500 is is that price okay you're
25:00 like no I want tickets under $200 okay
25:03 great and then it'll go off and do that
25:05 so it's
25:06 autonomous um behavior that you initiate
25:10 but then it goes off and does things on
25:12 its own and checks back in with you
25:15 think of it like an employee a good way
25:18 to think of it by the end of this year
25:20 I'm pretty confident about
25:22 this we will effectively have employees
25:26 at our disposal and those employees are
25:29 going to be as good or better than most
25:31 people at most
25:35 jobs which if you're not freaked out yet
25:38 you could
25:39 be now now would be a good time to start
25:42 freaking
25:43 out
25:45 um all right beautiful
25:52 [Music]
25:53 okay is it possible to build an AI that
25:56 can take a person's body measurements
25:57 closed from their picks um there there
26:01 have been attempts at that there's a lot
26:03 of the new there there are a couple of
26:05 new image generation tools where you can
26:08 you can take a uh I
26:11 think I can't remember which ones do it
26:13 now there's one where you can take a
26:15 piece of clothing and a person and it'll
26:17 put that clothing on the person um doing
26:21 things
26:22 like measuring someone's Dimensions from
26:25 just a photograph a single photograph um
26:28 there's probably things that attempt to
26:29 do that I would argue they're probably
26:31 not all that accurate is an operator the
26:34 same as an agent an operator is open
26:37 ai's name for autonomous agents so
26:41 yes n has a body scan that does that
26:45 okay there you
26:46 [Music]
26:50 go lanen does that nice
26:55 [Music]
27:00 I'm using Microsoft co-pilot it's pretty
27:03 awesome yeah so here's what I would let
27:05 me let me walk you through a couple of
27:08 things while we're waiting for Pearson
27:09 to come up
27:12 um okay first thing you should do if
27:15 you're not aware of the AI Salon if
27:18 you're curious about all this AI [ __ ]
27:21 you should go check out the AI
27:23 Salon um go there click on join our
27:27 community and when you go to join our
27:31 community it will land
27:39 you it will land you here welcome to the
27:42 salon there's a little welcome video
27:44 from myself and Leah faston who I I
27:46 co-founded the salon with um we talk in
27:50 the salon about this journey to AI
27:52 Readiness if you're if you're new here
27:55 it's it sounds like we've got some new
27:57 people here which is exciting
27:59 um the most important thing to have
28:02 right now the most important thing to
28:05 have is not a mathematics degree not the
28:08 ability to code not the ability to
28:10 understand what AI is none of that's
28:12 important right now the most important
28:14 thing right now is a sense of
28:17 curiosity and ideally a hyper
28:23 curiosity get curious about these to
28:25 tools and start playing with them okay
28:29 um so the the sort of path to AI
28:32 Readiness from from a salon standpoint
28:35 is play first just start playing with
28:37 tools we're going to play with jelly pod
28:39 here tonight go play with jelly pod go
28:41 play with chat
28:42 GPT if you think chat GPT is just like
28:45 that chat box that you type in the chat
28:48 and it answers questions it's so much
28:50 more than that like did you
28:53 know if we got some new folks here
28:56 tonight chat also has this thing called
28:59 advanced
29:01 voice I'll be right there Pearson let me
29:03 just show
29:04 people what's happening all right so
29:08 here's chat PT it's the app on my iPad
29:11 it's just an iPad and and so I'm G to
29:13 pop it into advanced voice
29:20 mode hey Quinn how's it
29:22 going hey Kyle I'm doing great how about
29:25 you I'm doing good I'm actually just
29:27 about to talk with this guy named
29:29 Pearson and he's got this really cool
29:30 company called jelly pod have you heard
29:32 of
29:33 it I haven't heard of jelly pod before
29:36 what's the company about it's a well can
29:38 you do you have access to the internet
29:40 can you go search for
29:41 it sure let me take a look give me a
29:45 moment we'll see if she gets it right
29:50 Pearson it looks like jelly pod is an AI
29:53 powered podcast Studio that helps users
29:55 create edit and publish podcasts easily
29:58 you can design AI hosts upload sources
30:01 and generate episodes they also offer
30:03 text-based audio editing and one-click
30:05 Publishing to platforms like Spotify and
30:07 apple podcasts ding ding ding all right
30:10 so give me 10 ideas for a podcast that
30:14 we could make that would have really
30:15 funny and memorable characters and a a
30:20 hilarious
30:22 concept sure thing here are 10 ideas for
30:25 a podcast with funny and memorable
30:27 characters and hilarious Concepts one
30:31 the Misadventures of Marty and Morty
30:33 follow two bumbling alien brothers who
30:36 crash land on Earth and try to blend
30:38 we're gonna we're gonna shut her down
30:39 let's go talk to Pearson we'll go talk
30:40 to a real person but if you didn't know
30:42 that chat GPT can talk it can talk it
30:45 can see it can hear it can do um data
30:49 analysis it can code it's Bonkers so a
30:53 thing that you could do if you're trying
30:54 to figure out this AI stuff is just go
30:57 play and dig deep into what these tools
30:59 can actually do um Pearson how's it
31:01 going really nice to meet you hey great
31:03 to meet you Kyle um great to be
31:06 here awesome awesome so so I don't I
31:10 don't have a ton of guests so I'll
31:11 probably be a crappy
31:13 interviewer but oh no worries at all
31:15 this is super last minute so I was I was
31:17 making a dinner and I was like oh I
31:19 hopped right on I'd love to talk oh
31:21 that's awesome that's awesome so so
31:23 there's there's kind of there's been a
31:24 running joke here so I don't know if you
31:26 know I I think Brandon told you a little
31:27 bit about the about the the channel here
31:30 I go live five nights a week and and
31:32 just generally you know shoot the [ __ ]
31:33 about AI things like that and so so he's
31:36 been talking about jelly pod for a while
31:38 so for the for the first week we were
31:41 gonna do it and one of the nicknames of
31:43 the channel is chat add where I just I
31:45 you know I rarely finish a sentence and
31:47 and never really get to anything so I
31:49 didn't get to jelly pod the first week
31:51 then Brandon was out the second week and
31:53 I said we'll get to it then and now
31:54 we're we're Wednesday of this week we
31:56 still haven't gotten to it yet so I
31:58 promised everyone last night we're going
31:59 to get to jelly pod so the fact that you
32:01 showed up is awesome so so tell me about
32:04 like what's your background um talk to
32:07 us about what jelly pot is and like you
32:09 know why did you do it and sort of how
32:11 far into it are you like how how new is
32:13 this thing I assume it's pretty new but
32:14 I'm I'm I'm really cool about it
32:17 absolutely yeah so um jelly pod we we
32:20 launched jelly pod about two and a half
32:22 months ago in a private beta um and for
32:25 the audience um jelly pod like chat PT
32:29 just said it's a AI podcast studio and
32:32 it really helps people um take a lot of
32:35 information like Source material whether
32:37 that's PowerPoints text uh Excel
32:40 spreadsheets YouTube videos and helps
32:42 you create a AI generated podcast from
32:45 that material but Guided by uh you so
32:49 you're always in the driver seat and so
32:51 what this is kind of something we call a
32:53 human in the loop creation where a lot
32:56 of tools you give it something and gives
32:58 you something back and you don't have
32:59 that iterative approach to being able to
33:03 refine and have confidence in those
33:05 outputs and so um that's kind of what
33:08 jelly pot is you give it a lot of stuff
33:10 you guide The Narrative and then you get
33:12 a podcast that you're able to edit the
33:14 text uh publish to Spotify it's a
33:16 hosting provider as well and um you get
33:20 like your ideas out into the wild
33:22 hopefully within like 15 minutes um of
33:24 having that podcast idea so
33:28 yeah that's kind of what it is and
33:30 that's beautiful so can I ask was it was
33:33 it inspired by notebook LM were you
33:35 already in production when this came
33:37 like where's the where where's the the
33:39 lineage of this thing what what was the
33:42 absolutely so actually to give you a
33:44 little bit backstory the jelly pod that
33:46 we know today this AI podcast studio uh
33:49 came out of a previous product that we
33:52 had um which was a mobile app that
33:56 allowed people to create personalized
33:58 podcasts from Source material so was a
34:01 mobile app on your phone and every
34:03 morning at whatever time you you chose
34:06 you'd get a personalized podcast based
34:08 on your email newsletters and other
34:09 stuff um and we we realized that a lot
34:12 of people are taking that content and
34:14 republishing it onto their their
34:16 platforms and so we took that insight
34:19 and decided to Pivot over to this to
34:21 make it really a full-fledged creation
34:24 platform um that uh that anybody could
34:27 use and publish podcasts and really
34:30 share their ideas and their stories with
34:31 the world easily um so that was that
34:35 started about a year ago so when
34:37 notebook LM came out it was a pretty
34:40 cool Tailwind where people actually
34:43 found that hey I can actually listen to
34:46 two AI hosts talk back and forth um they
34:48 actually sound pretty good and so when
34:50 that came out it we were already in a
34:52 private beta for this and that our
34:55 weight list exploded overnight which was
34:57 pretty cool that's awesome yeah that's
34:59 awesome well it's funny notebook LM had
35:01 been out for a year and nobody really
35:03 cared about it the people that loved it
35:05 loved it but then they put in that
35:06 feature and it was just there was
35:08 something about it about that particular
35:10 technology that that um they had
35:13 in-house at Google that they used what
35:15 and if you can't share this that's fine
35:17 but I'm just curious what what enabling
35:18 Tech are you using on the back end here
35:20 is it is it 11 Labs what's the what's
35:22 the stuff what what's the stack that
35:24 you're using if you're talk about it
35:27 yeah so constantly evaluating like
35:29 different models 11lbs being one of the
35:31 providers that we we do use um along
35:34 with like play HT and some other open
35:36 source models there and um that's like
35:40 the voices Google is also one of those
35:43 um so actually if you're interested if
35:45 you're a technical person out there uh
35:47 you can kind of use the API that Google
35:50 has um to get those two exact voices
35:52 that notebook LM has uh that's cool
35:54 which is pretty which is pretty cool so
35:56 we don't use that but um you the thing
35:59 you're doing where you can design a host
36:01 is is actually really slick that's
36:03 that's that's a super cool
36:04 feature um yeah that's cool um try to
36:08 think what else what's your
36:09 background yeah uh I'm a tech I'm an
36:12 engineer so software engineer by trade I
36:14 I went to undergrad study computer
36:16 science at UCLA so go Bruins um and
36:20 after I graduated I moved up to Seattle
36:22 where I eventually found my co-founder
36:25 um Jason and I worked for Amazon for a
36:27 few years
36:28 up in Seattle I was on the Alexa team so
36:31 I was always really passionate about
36:33 artificial intelligence voice and this
36:36 whole area um and I eventually left to
36:41 start jelly pod but um I've always kind
36:43 of been in this space and I've really
36:46 always enjoyed Ai and excited about like
36:49 when Chachi P came out just like
36:51 everybody else I think I was stoked it
36:53 was it was a it was an awesome time yeah
36:57 that that's super cool super cool and
36:59 what about the name we were sort of
37:00 ribbon ribbing the name a little bit
37:01 earlier um talk to me about the name
37:04 what's the what's the history of it
37:05 things like that yeah well the easy easy
37:07 part is definitely the Pod side so like
37:09 jelly pod um pod as in podcasts yep and
37:13 and jelly was kind of like this
37:15 amorphous thing that kind of flows and
37:19 connects a lot of stuff um sticky and it
37:22 was like the combination of podcasts
37:25 with like this I don't know jelly that
37:28 kind of connects people together so
37:31 jelly pod as you can say is like a
37:33 podcast Studio you can create in all
37:35 these different languages uh podcasts
37:37 are a growing medium of communication
37:40 and telling stories yeah and that was
37:43 kind of the jelly part of it um it's
37:45 also it's kind of interesting it's two
37:47 syllables jelly pod kind of like people
37:50 are like what is jelly pod it sounds
37:52 kind of weird um so that's why I liked
37:54 it uh personally so yeah yeah yeah
37:56 exactly they they won't forget it right
37:59 that's awesome right exactly we have a
38:01 question from from Corey Sandler on Tik
38:03 Tok is asking what's the difference
38:05 between basic and in the paid version
38:08 yeah so the free free tier uh has
38:11 essentially everything that the paid
38:12 tiers have as well except the paid tiers
38:15 get um monthly refills of generation
38:19 credits so if you're a free user you get
38:22 a thousand credits one credit equals one
38:25 second of audio so it's about two
38:27 minutes
38:28 or two 10minute podcasts that you get
38:31 for free and then then you upgrade for
38:34 more more audio for more credit exactly
38:38 okay cool um one quick question I have
38:42 do you have the ability to export it as
38:43 a movie not just as an audio file
38:47 yet that's right in front of me right
38:49 now I'm currently building that so we're
38:52 we're we're getting that done um that's
38:54 the next big release okay and I'll I'll
38:57 tell you why I ask that is just because
38:59 I I I find it staggering but on X you
39:02 can't upload audio you it has to be in
39:06 the form of a movie interesting I didn't
39:09 actually know that it's great to know
39:10 exactly I went I did I did a notebook LM
39:13 podcast and then I went to ask I'm like
39:16 I'm just going to share this with people
39:17 I'm like you can't upload an audio file
39:19 and you can't it has to be a movie so
39:21 then I had to go cut an image into it
39:23 and things like that so right just for
39:25 for your uh for your your product
39:28 specification pleasure there's there's a
39:31 nice problem that one will solve totally
39:33 totally we're super excited to release
39:35 that so it'll be be out soon and what
39:38 are you gonna do are you gonna like how
39:40 far from what what does the movie look
39:42 like is right now is it just sort of
39:44 like a title screen like how far until
39:46 we get speaking hosts where they're
39:48 actually talking with with funny
39:50 characters right right so the first
39:53 phase would be just um uh artwork like
39:57 your
39:58 art with like the title audiogram um
40:01 customizable background color things
40:04 like that which I think will satisfy a
40:07 lot of people's that video y um the ha
40:10 Jen
40:11 style Talking Heads definitely further
40:14 down the line um we don't have that
40:16 technology in house it's expensive yeah
40:18 and it's it's really expensive and it's
40:20 very janky right now so I figure that
40:23 that'll get better in time and I don't I
40:25 I don't mean to push you I'm just like
40:26 you know I get excited right
40:28 yeah exactly it's exciting time I mean
40:30 like every every day every week there's
40:31 something new that comes out it's like
40:33 oh well now we can do that you know so
40:35 it's pretty cool cool all right cool
40:38 well I figure what I'll do is I'm just
40:39 gonna fumble my my way through it I
40:41 started to make one a couple of weeks
40:43 ago but I figure one of the things I
40:45 like to do is is you know just uh be the
40:48 idiot so other people are you know freed
40:51 to do that so I'm just going to dive in
40:53 um any advice for me jumping in I mean
40:55 you're welcome to stay I'm certainly
40:57 certainly uh C certainly happy to have
40:59 you but also you know you might want to
41:01 go have dinner and things like that I
41:02 know this was kind of a spontaneous
41:04 thing but where should I start what's
41:05 your what's your advice for someone just
41:07 doing it for the first time yeah if
41:09 you're just doing it for the first time
41:10 um I think you jump in you design a host
41:14 uh I personally like the host design uh
41:16 more than voice cloning voice cloning is
41:18 cool it sounds like you but I like to
41:21 use like a like a w like a wizard from
41:24 The 14th Century exil or like something
41:27 kind cool that you don't even know what
41:29 you're looking for so yeah hop into the
41:32 voice design um put that host into a
41:34 podcast and okay and dump some
41:36 interesting material into that that
41:38 Source all right cool that sounds great
41:41 well listen oh so so Brandon has a
41:43 question which I think it's a good one
41:44 um what's the what's the best podcast
41:46 that you've heard so far that someone's
41:48 made out of this or there or what's been
41:50 the biggest surprise what's been most
41:51 interesting for you to see now yeah in
41:54 the world totally there's two the first
41:57 one I heard it was the first time AI
41:59 ever made me laugh genuinely and it was
42:02 one about pineapple on pizza and it was
42:05 talking it was debating my dad's from
42:06 New York he hates that I like pineapple
42:09 and pizza I like it I've got a son that
42:11 likes it and I'm ready to disown him
42:14 yeah exactly exactly and uh there was a
42:17 line in there that it said it was like
42:19 you know uh it's something about like
42:22 yeah it's good to experiment with foods
42:24 but Pizza doesn't need a Tropa tropical
42:27 vacation in a midlife crisis to be good
42:29 and I was like it it was like a fun it
42:31 was like some funny lines and yeah that
42:33 was probably an awesome one and the
42:35 other one that I really liked was a uh a
42:38 political podcast that we designed to
42:40 host to be very very liberal and very
42:43 conservative was really cool to like see
42:46 them debate and actually have good
42:48 points back and forth so that one was
42:49 awesome that's really good is is there a
42:51 limit to the number of hosts there's two
42:54 Two Hosts right now is the okay I did a
42:57 I did a um I got asked to comment on uh
43:01 an AI bill here in Colorado and I
43:03 couldn't I I couldn't get my head around
43:05 like I was thinking of all these
43:07 different points of view and what I
43:08 ended up doing was going into chat GPT
43:10 and created 10 personas that would be
43:12 interested in this bill and and make
43:14 sure that they've got you know varying
43:16 points of view and then I had each of
43:19 them comment on the bill and it it was
43:21 fascinating it was like a big round
43:23 Table Right where they all had these
43:24 different points of view so so yeah that
43:26 that's that's fascinating okay one final
43:28 question for you just I just realized
43:30 another one
43:32 um are you do you think do you think you
43:36 shift into this becoming a media company
43:38 or do you are you do you want it to stay
43:40 a tool
43:41 company yeah I I definitely want to stay
43:44 a tool company um I think empowering
43:47 people to be more creative to lower that
43:50 barrier of Entry to be able to share
43:51 your ideas and stories is like what
43:53 really drives me um and like kind of
43:55 what the company's founded upon yeah I
43:57 don't see us becoming a media company I
43:59 I want to be a tool yeah that's very
44:01 cool that's very cool so so you know
44:03 being able then to partner with all
44:05 those media companies is gonna be
44:06 fascinating so exactly exactly all right
44:09 let's see wait hang on I'm getting
44:12 a joker wants me to what Joker
44:16 question oh um a question from from
44:19 Joker on Tik Tok for you um do you
44:22 utilize a vector database to store the
44:24 data for the podcasts or is it stored
44:27 morea
44:28 data um right now there's no embeddings
44:31 uh we're we're doing some migrations to
44:34 enable sort of like a source library and
44:37 some other features that will come down
44:38 the line that will use a vector DB um
44:42 right now we're not but um as context
44:45 Windows start to scale up like with
44:47 Gemini and it's less necessary today
44:50 than it than it used to be so yeah yeah
44:54 yeah yeah and what what is it next year
44:57 we'll have infinite memory and then all
44:59 all bets are off you don't need any of
45:01 that stuff anymore exactly crazy all
45:04 right cool um awesome thanks for for
45:07 being spontaneous and hopping up here
45:08 like this I really appreciate it of
45:10 course yeah great to be here and uh take
45:12 care cool all right take care all right
45:15 I'm gonna go butcher your software
45:18 now all right poor guy is starving and
45:20 we're talking about pizza he brought up
45:22 the pizza
45:28 oh man okay so let
45:31 me Let Me Entertain
45:37 You oops that's the wrong me get rid of
45:40 that one add that one
45:43 okay so here we are at jelly pod oops I
45:46 just changed the wrong window I got to
45:48 put the black bar back up um who's got
45:51 if anyone has any questions wait hang on
45:53 a sec I've got this
45:58 all right
46:00 beautiful that's that I'll be right
46:02 there people jelly pod. a yeah that was
46:06 nice to have have have Pearson
46:09 on it's kind of cool also hearing you
46:12 know the the pivot that they were
46:13 working on something and they you know
46:16 they came up with this idea and then as
46:18 this happened um you know notbook LM
46:21 showed up and everyone was like podcasts
46:23 are amazing we should go make some so
46:26 that's pretty that's some pretty nice
46:28 Synergy there for uh for them um
46:33 okay me get all this going all right
46:36 there we
46:37 are
46:39 so
46:43 there's boy the the uh screen door the
46:47 mor pattern tonight is is wicked bad on
46:51 Tik Tok sorry about
46:54 that if you're on Tik Tok and want to go
46:57 see this a little cleaner just hop over
47:00 to YouTube at learninglab dasai on
47:04 YouTube and when you're over there
47:06 subscribe and and after we get off the
47:09 live tonight go uh go play some videos
47:11 so we can get our view numbers up
47:15 okay so we are at jelly
47:18 pod.
47:19 um I have not fully gone through this
47:23 process Brandon has um I if if Pearson's
47:27 still here and Pearson wants to come up
47:29 he can but you know if he's smart he'll
47:31 just take
47:33 off um but but if I get completely
47:36 flumix I may bring up Brandon but I
47:39 think I I think it'll be good just to
47:41 let's let's play all right he's already
47:43 gone yeah good he had to he had to go
47:45 eat I'm glad I'm glad he got his dinner
47:47 all right so we're gonna do a new
47:50 podcast oh we gotta come up with cover
47:52 art and titles okay this is yeah yeah
47:55 yeah okay
47:57 all right or create a new host got it
48:03 okay so we're not going to start in
48:04 jelly pod we are going to go
48:06 to
48:09 Cha all right and then what we're going
48:12 to do is we're g to do
48:19 this I'm working with a podcast
48:23 generation tool that allows me to design
48:28 two memorable hosts
48:30 period I want those hosts to have
48:34 different points of
48:36 view and very different
48:40 personalities period for example one
48:42 might be old one might be young period
48:45 one might be conservative one might be
48:46 liberal Etc but I want them to
48:50 have comically broad
48:55 differences and then
48:57 also want to come up with a podcast
49:03 concept that is very easy to make
49:07 episodes
49:12 for easy to research and write
49:19 for and will be super compelling for
49:24 audiences period i I think the topics of
49:28 the EP of the
49:31 podcasts should
49:38 be oddly specific and and
49:46 nichy
49:52 and all right
50:01 so so Brandon the S 10 minutes I'm not
50:05 God damn that thing uh I'm not writing
50:08 the podcast in chat GPT
50:17 correct okay you got it
50:28 hyper Niche histories why it works
50:35 okay okay so rather than giving me so
50:38 much detail what I want you to do is I
50:41 want you to start
50:44 with 10
50:46 Concepts that have a catchy and funny
50:49 name a short
50:51 description and then a description of
50:54 The Two Hosts
50:58 that
50:59 describes their personalities as well as
51:02 their
51:03 voices
51:11 period have you put a screenplay into
51:13 notebook LM it's
51:15 brilliant
51:17 oops yes I have it's really good you can
51:20 put you can put all of your screenplays
51:23 into notebook LM it's
51:25 amazing um why is this a thing a deep
51:29 dive into bizarre and inexplicable
51:31 everyday objects I actually love that
51:36 concept hosts
51:39 Marge hey Marge hey Marge Marge hey I'm
51:44 I don't see my face on the YouTube I see
51:46 it on the Tik Tok but it's
51:49 tiny did I what am I streaming on both I
51:55 don't know
51:57 how do I so that's Marge I talk to Marge
52:00 all the time a non-nonsense middle-aged
52:03 school teacher with a n nasal
52:06 authoritative
52:09 tone we'll generate your cover art for
52:12 you if you don't provide any I love it
52:15 that's great um always looking for the
52:18 moral of the story Kip a wide-eyed
52:20 perpetually curious intern with a
52:22 high-pitched slightly awkward delivery
52:25 loves tangents and conspiracy theories
52:27 that one's funny all right Niche Niche
52:30 and Destroy big little lies obscurely
52:34 yours what the fact stuff nobody asked
52:38 for that's
52:40 bananas hyperbolic time
52:44 chamber two truths and a lie detect okay
52:47 so I'm already overwhelmed but here's
52:49 what I'm going to do I'm gonna say um
52:53 give
52:55 me 20 more
52:59 more that still
53:03 have some humor but are super
53:10 interesting
53:12 hosts should still have
53:17 differences but need not be
53:24 comically um split
53:28 all right so we're going to get 20
53:32 more Pottery series
53:35 description in and had the podcast run
53:38 while I was throwing Pottery it was so
53:40 cool oh that's that's such a great idea
53:43 we'll hear marg's voice I think we
53:45 probably shouldn't right um we you know
53:49 like like like you never want to hear
53:50 the Charlie Brown characters what the
53:52 what the teacher saying
53:57 um that's kind of like Marge I think if
53:59 we hear Marge that would be a bad thing
54:00 all right small worlds exploring strange
54:03 interconnected histories people places
54:05 and things patent
54:08 pending oh that's kind of
54:13 cool
54:15 okay
54:17 let's I'm gonna flip over to 01
54:20 reasoning
54:21 model okay so what I'm doing right now
54:25 if you're new here we're going to use
54:26 jelly pod to make um a
54:31 podcast we just talked to Pearson who's
54:34 the CEO and founder of jelly pod super
54:36 cool dude um has a real Clear Vision for
54:40 what he's doing which I think is is
54:44 awesome we're in chat GPT right now
54:47 concepting I use GPT 40 to do some basic
54:52 ideation and now I'm going to use 01 01
54:56 which is the reasoning engine to do some
54:59 analysis I'm going to
55:00 say I want you to act as
55:06 a hyper successful podcast
55:11 producer that knows what succeeds and
55:14 what
55:16 is going to be compelling over
55:20 time period I want you
55:24 to
55:25 analyze all all of the ideas generated
55:28 so
55:32 far in terms
55:35 of reach
55:40 desirability
55:49 memorability comic
55:53 potential and its chance to be a hit
55:56 podcast
55:58 period I want you
56:04 to rank the
56:07 podcasts and tell me what your top five
56:10 are in
56:17 order and why you chose
56:23 them so let's let so it's thinking so
56:27 pulling together
56:29 attention examining podcasts ideas I'll
56:32 analyze the 30 podcast accessing
56:35 assessing the comic potential weighing
56:37 the
56:38 options evaluating the options all
56:42 right so did some did some decent
56:45 thinking on
56:48 this so there's all of our podcast
56:58 top five picks and
57:02 why what the fact why it stands out
57:06 memorability the catchy slightly Edy
57:08 edgy title grabs attention easy to
57:11 remember and share format Freedom trivia
57:14 or weird fact podcasts are evergreen
57:17 with strong okay great oh I just got a
57:21 Sin City zipper
57:23 cocktail look look an agent just did its
57:25 thing for me
57:27 it's it's an agent light but that's all
57:29 right um that's bananas why it stands
57:31 out emphasizing outrageous historical or
57:34 modern events Fosters fun
57:37 discussions um the way it
57:41 wasn't debp wait why it stands out
57:44 debunking angle mythbusting never goes
57:46 out of style people love being in the no
57:49 listeners feel smarter the way it wasn't
57:51 I like that one the shelf life why it
57:54 stands out and don't quote me on that
57:56 misattributed or surprising quotes um
58:00 I'm going to
58:01 say rank the top
58:05 three in order and tell
58:09 me why you
58:13 picked number
58:24 one what the fact jelly
58:27 pod cover art all right we've already
58:30 got jelly pod cover art in Irregulars
58:32 all right
58:33 great why number one instant hook the
58:37 title alone feels Punchy I think I like
58:39 the that the very first one it came up
58:41 with better I
58:45 think what was
58:50 it why is this a thing what the fact
58:53 what the fact is better chat GPT is
58:56 right
58:57 I was wrong okay um endless topics viral
59:02 sharability comedic Edge the format
59:05 naturally lends itself to humor okay
59:10 um okay terrific now I want you to write
59:17 me a nice one-page
59:22 brief for the what the fact podcast
59:30 that could be something I would give to
59:32 a producer that they would understand
59:35 exactly what they need to do to make
59:37 this show a hit
59:45 period questions questions jelly pod
59:48 cover art and Irregulars let's go look
59:50 at
59:53 that sh
59:58 right jelly pod that's nice so let's do
1:00:02 so here's what we want if you want to do
1:00:04 if you want to do um artwork for the Pod
1:00:08 let's do it's it's now called what the
1:00:10 fact but wait wait wait wait don't do
1:00:13 what the fact just yet so we're gonna do
1:00:16 we'll do what the fact and we're GNA do
1:00:20 um the names of the hosts which we're
1:00:21 going to get in a
1:00:23 second um and then we'll do um a
1:00:28 jelly wait a we'll do something that
1:00:31 mentions the AI salon and jelly pod so
1:00:34 we'll do a nice cover art let's get the
1:00:37 let's get the the details of it show
1:00:40 concept what the fact fast-paced comedic
1:00:43 Deep dive into the strangest most
1:00:44 surprising facts you never know you need
1:00:46 it each episode highlights bizarre
1:00:47 tidbits and mind-blowing discoveries
1:00:50 okay viral sharability why it works tone
1:00:52 and style target audience episode
1:00:56 structure one to two minutes okay so
1:00:59 wait we've got to fix the structure um
1:01:03 fix the
1:01:06 structure so that this is a 7 to n
1:01:13 minute
1:01:14 minute
1:01:16 total
1:01:25 length for what it's worth I made two
1:01:27 episodes while you were ideating and I
1:01:29 was
1:01:31 producing show
1:01:34 [Laughter]
1:01:39 off Tams wants to draw something now I
1:01:42 have so many ideas for art just thinking
1:01:44 about this awesome okay so the show's
1:01:47 called what the fact all right so did it
1:01:49 do a
1:01:51 better yeah here we go intro and theme
1:01:56 hold open grab their
1:02:03 attention with its super compact runtime
1:02:06 it hits the sweet spot okay
1:02:09 um now um tell me who my hosts are again
1:02:16 and
1:02:17 explain
1:02:19 their voices and
1:02:24 personalities and background s s in
1:02:30 detail I don't know if I'm going to need
1:02:32 all this but we we'll have it hyper
1:02:35 artistic cover art for a podcast called
1:02:37 what the fact but wait we got to get the
1:02:39 names of our
1:02:40 hosts Trish
1:02:43 Farnsworth it's it's
1:02:46 close she's rapid fire delivery bright
1:02:48 and staccato reflecting her endless
1:02:52 enthusiasm former Pub trivia host and
1:02:54 Doug Hamilton okay
1:02:56 [Music]
1:02:57 um okay
1:03:00 these two hosts are a little
1:03:07 boring I want them
1:03:11 to be
1:03:14 funnier and more
1:03:17 iconic
1:03:19 and
1:03:21 clearly
1:03:24 differentiated other than
1:03:28 gender um and I know I didn't spell that
1:03:31 right but that's
1:03:32 okay um in
1:03:36 fact give me five pairs I
1:03:41 can choose from you think will be
1:03:47 perfect for what the
1:03:51 fact you can make money with
1:03:54 [Laughter]
1:04:02 our microphone's
1:04:05 expensive um okay so who who we got
1:04:07 maragold motor mouth Malone and silus
1:04:10 the shark Sullivan no it it missed this
1:04:13 ASD Astro okay um no you missed the Mark
1:04:17 here
1:04:18 okay um you missed the Mark here we
1:04:22 don't need comic book character names
1:04:28 comma we just need slightly humorous
1:04:32 names that
1:04:40 have good Stato syllables in
1:04:46 them
1:04:48 and a humorous tone rather than yuck
1:04:52 yuck funny period
1:04:58 yeah I think you should have one of the
1:04:59 mcgilla Cy Brothers I do too I I think I
1:05:01 think one has to be some some someone
1:05:04 millati Buster Buster McGill
1:05:18 cuty Pierce is gonna be eating breakfast
1:05:20 before we have a
1:05:22 podcast shut up I'm trying listen I'm

1:05:28 what do we got here we've got Cleo crisp

1:05:33 Bruno Teresa Bloom and Arlo Quinn oh
1:05:37 Arlo Quinn's not bad right engaging
1:05:39 friendly teacher nextd door Vibe beia
1:05:42 Buckley and Hugo Flint the the men's
1:05:45 names are funnier Lily

1:06:08 fifth
1:06:10 one iy dash no we'll go Lily Vogue let's
1:06:14 go with Lily
1:06:18 Vogue and
1:06:21 Buster
1:06:23 McGill uty
1:06:26 I don't know how you spell McGill cuty
1:06:29 um spell this
1:06:31 right let's tell chat gbt how to do
1:06:35 [Laughter]
1:06:44 it um slightly gravy baritone
1:06:48 friendly
1:06:51 um yeah I grew up in a small town
1:06:53 environment
1:06:59 all right that's
1:07:02 good okay so let's go back to jelly
1:07:06 pod so podcast title
1:07:11 what the
1:07:13 fact question mark exclamation point
1:07:16 okay so for those of
1:07:19 you working um oh wait so I need a

1:07:43 description
1:07:45 um that's all I need just write
1:07:53 that what the fact is your bite-sized
1:07:56 blast of bizarre trivia hosted by the
1:07:57 polished Lily Vogue and the folksy

1:08:21 cover art what the fact is the name of
1:08:24 the show

1:08:28 Vogue and Buster McGill
1:08:32 cuty MCG i l l i c u d d

1:09:18 lab and the AI
1:09:24 Sal and then I'll put the salon. a in
1:09:29 the
1:09:30 description

1:10:24 voice sh
1:10:27 g g g hey gang hey Allan what's
1:10:31 happening Tams having a sidekick might
1:10:34 take me away from my fear of going live
1:10:37 oh just go live you know you know what
1:10:40 I've realized is you there's a way you
1:10:43 can go live like the way I go live is I
1:10:46 just pretend no one's watching and then
1:10:48 I pretend that none of this stuff will
1:10:50 ever live on even though it does you oh
1:10:53 you know what I did the you you
1:10:54 Irregulars will like this um I went back

1:36:59 um and you don't have to have cover art
1:37:03 for this episode okay
1:37:07 introduce
1:37:10 themselves although it wouldn't surprise

1:37:14 already in IR
1:37:17 regulars uh Li Lil and Buster introduced
1:37:20 themselves and then
1:37:22 um um

1:39:17 [ __ ] no like we've got remarkable
1:39:21 tools why not make a the fact podcast

1:40:02 yeah oh okay all right it loaded we have
1:40:05 a headless chicken generate
1:40:08 script unable to generate script May
1:40:10 violate
1:40:12 policies oh probably because I put a URL
1:40:15 in here either that or you're talking
1:40:17 about decapitating
1:40:20 chickens oh oh because it's violent
1:40:27 oh

1:40:59 uh oh that's awesome Pearson okay good
1:41:02 yeah I'm I'm assuming it's it's because
1:41:04 we we we we saw cutting off the head of
1:41:07 a chicken as somehow
1:41:11 violent I wonder if it's getting the
1:41:13 word uh either uh it might be beheaded
1:41:18 in the description that is
1:41:20 uh if you if wonder if we remove the
1:41:23 word beheaded and just change it to
1:41:25 unived or something like that it's yeah
1:41:28 yeah it's like a Tik Tok Channel um
1:41:32 thank the AI Salon a
1:41:36 community

1:43:48 jelly pod that you can't do anywhere
1:43:50 else is you could actually eject words
1:43:54 into their script oh that's cool so if
1:43:58 you want Lily to mention the salon. a at
1:44:01 some point you can just literally write
1:44:03 it in yeah which we're gonna do let's

1:46:23 it to be less than a minute yeah I know
1:46:27 if it'll respect
1:46:29 that because the current guard rails
1:46:31 will only let you up the upload up to a
1:46:35 minute Pearson says they're working on
1:46:38 that
1:46:44 though
1:46:46 create all right let me go share while
1:46:48 that's
1:46:49 making present share screen soona

1:47:51 Get Set let your curiosity grow what the
1:47:52 facts to steal the
1:47:57 show could just take that and fade it
1:48:00 [Music]
1:48:06 out all right we're gonna have to we we
1:48:08 don't have time for that okay it's not
1:48:10 gonna it's just gonna be audio okay
1:48:12 we're gonna generate the audio audio
1:48:14 generation started this may take a few
1:48:17 minutes and
1:48:19 then you're also sharing the wrong tab
1:48:22 oh yeah I'm not sh that tab
1:48:25 [Music]

1:48:41 Shang what the
1:48:46 fact you can also add in the uh audio

1:48:52 back and edit it yeah yeah yeah okay
1:48:55 ready to make your podcast so here's my
1:48:57 hosts

1:49:10 generating I can go in
1:49:14 here I hope it's still generating I
1:49:17 assume it's still
1:49:19 generating it is
1:49:24 edit
1:49:30 episode Lily Vogue and Buster McGill
1:49:33 [Laughter]
1:49:42 cudy oh need a snack you want some
1:49:49 chicken I don't know that AI learning
1:49:51 lab they promote violence against
1:49:53 chickens paint pin uh I don't see the

1:50:44 Studio people think I just sit around
1:50:46 and and scroll on Tik Tok during your
1:50:48 show I know you're not just you're not
1:50:50 just the I candy of the operation
1:50:53 welcome
1:50:55 to the only podcast where absurd trivia
1:50:58 and fascinating history collide with
1:51:00 well a solid dose of charm wouldn't you
1:51:03 say a dose Lily I'd call it more of a
1:51:07 heaping pile you got two charm
1:51:09 heavyweights here folks I'm Buster your
1:51:12 guide to all the weirdly impossible
1:51:13 stories you didn't know you needed and
1:51:15 I'm Lily your resident Storyteller here
1:51:18 to sort fact from fiction or at least
1:51:21 make you think twice about what you
1:51:22 believe
1:51:24 together we're digging up the stranger
1:51:25 side of history and turning it into
1:51:27 bite-sized banter bite-sized
1:51:30 banter wait should that be our new
1:51:33 tagline I like it kind of rolls off the
1:51:36 tongue white siiz banter with your
1:51:38 favorite brainy oddballs this is good P
1:51:40 modder P modder it's like looking into a
1:51:43 voice
1:51:45 mirror it has a ring to it anyway wait
1:51:51 uh let me if if you link me the song
1:51:54 from sunno I can cut it down oh okay you
1:51:57 want to do that um do I need to I
1:52:00 probably need to make it public don't
1:52:07 I share copy
1:52:15 link there you go it's on the blue the
1:52:17 blue Post-It
1:52:19 note okay back to this the idea for this
1:52:22 podcast came from one too many late
1:52:24 night dives into Bizarre Wikipedia
1:52:26 rabbit holes and more than a few heated
1:52:28 debates over coffee about what's true
1:52:30 and what's just plain Bonkers and no
1:52:32 offense but the absolute nonsense you
1:52:34 bring up sometimes Lily it's enough to
1:52:35 make anyone want to fact check their
1:52:37 entire existence which is precisely why
1:52:40 this podcast exists to share all of that
1:52:42 nonsense in a way that's both
1:52:44 entertaining and dare I say educational
1:52:47 yeah but let's clarify here this is
1:52:48 educational in the truest sense of the
1:52:50 word think of it as school for weirdos
1:52:53 exactly but the fun kind of school with
1:52:56 no homework and plenty of outrageous
1:52:59 mindblowing slightly
1:53:01 ridiculous stories to keep you curious
1:53:04 expect Sid splitting moments a Sprinkle
1:53:06 of wait is that even possible and of
1:53:10 course some enthusiastic clucking along
1:53:12 the way yeah because nothing screams
1:53:14 serious History Podcast like chicken
1:53:17 Impressions on that note big thanks to
1:53:19 the people who made this shindig
1:53:21 possible the AI learning lab the AI
1:53:24 salon and jelly pod yes a huge shout out
1:53:27 to the AI Salon a community of creators
1:53:30 embracing the possibilities of
1:53:32 artificial intelligence you can check
1:53:35 them out at the salon. to dive into
1:53:37 exciting conversations and innovative
1:53:39 ideas oh and don't forget Corey Sandler
1:53:42 from the AI Salon who made our super
1:53:44 cool cover art and to jelly pood of
1:53:46 course our lovely home where podcasts
1:53:48 like this one can exist now what can
1:53:50 listeners expect in our future episodes
1:53:53 oh you know just casual chats about
1:53:55 headless chickens singing mice exploding
1:53:58 whales exploding whales did I miss that
1:54:00 meeting you did but don't worry it's on
1:54:03 the schedule for now think of this as
1:54:06 your introduction to a world of odd
1:54:08 facts and curious Tales that'll keep you
1:54:10 questioning reality leave light or you
1:54:12 know just laughing along with two people
1:54:14 who clearly spend too much time reading
1:54:16 about uh you know headless chickens all
1:54:18 right class of school for weirdos
1:54:21 picture this it's a a crisp September
1:54:23 Day in 1945 fruta Colorado a farmer
1:54:28 named Lloyd Olen grabs an axe heading
1:54:31 out to the yard for what feels like a
1:54:32 routine chicken dinner Mission but
1:54:35 spoiler alert nothing about this story
1:54:37 stays routine for long all right that's
1:54:40 good okay so um so we have a concept
1:54:43 we've got 20 shows um where where
1:54:48 Brandon do we do we make this thing uh
1:54:51 published where do we want to
1:54:55 it oh you left we left we lost Brandon
1:54:59 he finally got his Jello pod and and
1:55:02 jelly pod Jello
1:55:07 pod some kind somehow Kyle will figure
1:55:10 out how to make this a Broadway play no
1:55:13 I've already got one of those
1:55:18 um how much to upload to
1:55:20 Spotify um oh I don't know let's see if
1:55:24 I say publish episode save and

1:56:55 there it is what the
1:56:59 fact let's share this on Twitter on the

1:58:06 [Laughter]
1:58:10 birthed what the fact let's go get
1:58:18 our you know what let's let's give the
1:58:20 jelly pod the direct URL why not
1:58:24 right copy that let's go look at what
1:58:27 that looks like does it take us into a
1:58:29 nice
1:58:30 page yes oh that's awesome look how nice
1:58:33 that
1:58:40 looks beautiful all right
1:58:48 so
1:58:50 um what the fact is now available there
1:58:54 oh it's not pulling up the artwork so
1:58:56 we're going to go grab the
1:58:58 artwork oh now we can't put

1:59:43 nerd all right thank you jelly pot and
1:59:45 Pearson marks for joining the AI
1:59:47 learning lab tonight where we
1:59:48 birthed the wait we birthed the new wait
1:59:53 the new hit
1:59:58 podcast what the
2:00:01 [Laughter]
2:00:07 fact oh this is so good all right um
2:00:11 we'll just do now
2:00:14 available now available here should I be
2:00:18 oh you're not supposed to hashtag
2:00:20 anymore hashtags are bad
2:00:23 people tag people add a description all
2:00:27 right that look
2:00:28 good yeah I think that looks good I'm
2:00:31 back I was trying to get down your music
2:00:32 but uh oh I assume we can can we can we
2:00:36 edit it after we've published and
2:00:37 republish
2:00:39 it you
2:00:41 can all right all right there it is the
2:00:47 nice thing is Kyle one of my favorite
2:00:49 parts of this is after you publish your
2:00:53 RSS link to the pocketcast or wherever
2:00:58 you're publishing it as you produce new
2:01:01 episodes they will automatically be
2:01:03 grabbed by the
2:01:05 syndication oh cool
2:01:10 nice
2:01:13 copy so go back to jelly pod or wait go
2:01:17 back to jelly
2:01:19 pod close this bad boy down what the
2:01:22 fact new
2:01:25 episode throw that in there add
2:01:31 source and it's got the Wikipedia
2:01:33 article in there but let's just go grab
2:01:34 the other one just in
2:01:42 case add source
2:01:52 here yeah so if you want to uh if you
2:01:56 want to make um what the fact a hit go
2:02:01 to x and tweet
2:02:04 it the um Kyle Shannon is Corey making
2:02:08 emu art
2:02:11 now oh what is this an emu story oh yeah
2:02:14 the great the Emu War you you mentioned
2:02:16 Pew pews in your Source we'll see how
2:02:18 we'll see if the jelly pod moderation
2:02:20 team yells at you again yeah yeah yeah
2:02:23 exactly well it's good we have Pearson
2:02:25 here he's he's watching us test this in
2:02:27 real
2:02:34 time process should be 10,000 times
2:02:38 simpler with stupid AIS yeah one one AI
2:02:42 to rule them all I got an idea well it's
2:02:45 I I mean this is this
2:02:47 is so an important thing to understand
2:02:50 like where we are in the state of the
2:02:52 industry right now is all the tools are
2:02:54 really fragmented so so we don't have
2:02:58 the everything app right now all right
2:03:00 so we're going to do so this is what the
2:03:01 fact we should do episode two should we
2:03:04 should we put episode
2:03:06 two
2:03:10 here like that the great em War
2:03:28 um
2:03:30 thanks
2:03:32 to the is

2:04:40 ah you haven't won anything
2:05:02 yeah let's get into the chicken story
2:05:51 here not sharing audio
2:05:54 on your streamyard
2:06:03 FYI what do I
2:06:05 have oh I'm sharing the wrong tab audio
2:06:08 on
2:06:09 YouTube yeah that's because I'm an
2:06:14 idiot I shared the wrong tab
2:06:23 does he even know what he's doing class
2:06:25 of school for weirdos picture this it's
2:06:28 a crisp September Day in 1945 fruta
2:06:33 Colorado a farmer named Lloyd Olen grabs
2:06:36 an axe heading out to the yard for what
2:06:38 feels like a routine chicken dinner
2:06:40 Mission but spoiler alert nothing about
2:06:43 this story stays routine for long wait
2:06:45 let me guess things didn't go according
2:06:48 to plan right exactly wait someone said
2:06:51 Lor said the link on Twitter didn't work
2:06:53 for me I just did it on Twitter and it
2:06:56 worked feed. jelly pod try it again
2:07:03 Lori um I've got the new um artwork for
2:07:06 the Emu emu Wars emu he swings the axe
2:07:10 does his thing and before long Lloyd
2:07:13 realizes that the chicken he just
2:07:15 decapitated is well it's still alive
2:07:18 alive as in walking around balancing
2:07:22 like nothing happened not only walking
2:07:24 around Buster but trying to preene
2:07:26 itself and even attempting to Crow
2:07:28 although uh the crowing sounded more
2:07:30 like a gurgle at Best you've got to be
2:07:32 kidding me that's not just dinner gone
2:07:35 wrong that's some kind of Undead
2:07:36 farmyard horror movie it sounds absurd
2:07:39 but there's actual science all right
2:07:42 good to go all right I can't generate my
2:07:45 um I can't generate a second um podcast
2:07:50 because I'm out of credits so so so

2:08:31 how we do things here at the AI Salon I
2:08:34 don't know what the [ __ ] we did tonight
2:08:36 but but we make Valerie said the the
2:08:39 link worked for her you humans are so
2:08:43 complicated I know humans are exhausting
2:08:45 aren't we
2:08:52 yeah well listen I mean we had we had AI
